Some pics of the Baba Yaga's Hut piece I've been working on for a few days.
I'll have to scan and tweak it properly before it's ready for making prints, but I'm happy with it 😊

The sequel to Chicken Run comes out tomorrow, so this comic was made to commemorate that! And the idea of Baba Yaga's hut having an AI and a PA system was too funny for me to pass up. Raven's face could be a meme, it looks kinda like a chicken in this shot with that hairdo. And I missed this in the episode, but Maddie actually clapped for the hut while it rampaged! Gotta love a chaos gremlin.

Baba Yaga’s Hut was a powerful artifact described for OD&D in Supplement III: Eldritch Wizardry by Gygax and Blume, 1976 (top), and again for AD&D in the Dungeon Masters Guide by Gygax, 1979 (bottom).  The suggested power for the original version, “IVH,” corresponds to a table entry that says “User cannot touch or be touched by any type of metal, it simply passes through him with no effect.”  Later adventures mapped the interior of the hut, including "The Dancing Hut” in Dragon 83 (March 1984), and The Dancing Hut of Baba Yaga in 1995.

so my nibling apparently loves baba yaga/baba yaga's house (or is at least, fascinated by them) which I thought was delightful so I did a couple of paintings for him/his parents (he's still pretty little). They're also teaching him to be bilingual in french, so I looked up some simple french phrases to include with them.
I had the weird idea of what if baba yaga and her hut were actually QUITE small and so my versions are inspired by macro photography. I imagine that the house itself has a personality and wanders around the forest floor when its witch doesn't need it. i like to think it sees this particular snail every day (or every few days) and says hello to it. And likewise with the 2nd painting, it says hello to these glowing mushrooms every night.
these were the two i sent to him, but tbh I liked the concept and might do a few more. They might also be available as prints in the future if there's any interest (i'm revamping my shops, so will update pinned post when that happens).

Mechs are hard for me to do in general, but as a Lancer fan I decided to give it a try. A Lancaster/Kidd mech inspired by Baba Yaga's Hut.

Please appreciate Oskar’s Baba Yaga’s Hut costume, he was a very good boy about not flying away from the strange tiny house on a stick and received many treats for his spookiness

So, in other news I also made a Baba Yaga hut.
The construction was actually surprisingly simple, basically legs from a Dollar General skeleton owl with the top of a birdhouse, and some fake spiderwebs for the "mist"
Tho, painting was... well, I have learned a lot of lessons about black undercoats and painting on wood, that's for sure! But, I am kinda proud of how it came out, so there ya go!
