"Fuck."

Bill huffed under his breath and put a hand to his forehead. He was in Ted's bathroom-- pants down, ass out, and... a mess of blood in the middle of his boxers. He was had been in pain since last night when he came over, but he hadn't thought much about it. When he woke up, however, he knew exactly what was going on.

He was cramping majorly, and tears began to form in the corners of his eyes as he stared down.

Fuck!

He sat there, hands on his knees as he looked at the mess in his pants. What the hell was he gonna do? He didn't bring extra underwear. Would Ted even let him borrow underwear?

Fuck. Ted.

He had to tell Ted. Shit. Fuck. This was most non-non-heinous. He felt so embarrassed and dysphoric and sick all at once.

He looked at the door, tears finally bubbling over. It was all so much. He cried quietly, soft whimpers leaving his mouth as he covered it with his hands.

"T-Ted--" His hoarse voice came tumbling out of his throat, a sharp breath in cutting him off. He was so embarrassed to have to ask Ted for help, but he..certainly couldn't just keep these on.

Ted knocked on the door. "Hey dude! You okay?"

"Could you-- uh. Hm--"

Ted pressed his forehead to the door.

"Yeah?"

"Ted...dude... I started..."

"Started? Dude, I didn't know we were racing!! I'm way behind--"

"-NO, Ted.." Bill tried his best to hide a giggle over his boyfriend's idea.

"Oh. Well what's wrong?"

Bill sighed. "My...period, dude. Shark week."

"Oh!! Hold on, let me grab some stuff, dude."

With that, Ted stepped away. Bill sat quietly, trying to clean himself up and prepare for whatever Ted was bringing him.

There was a quiet knock at the door. "Here, dude!!" Slowly, Ted opened the door and pushed a pad and a pair of boxers through.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of the other stuff, dude. You go back and lay down!"

Bill took the items from his boyfriend and quickly fixed himself up. He hummed quietly and folded up the bloodied underwear, placing them in the tub before washing his hands. Drying them on his old shirt, he stepped out of the bathroom.

Quickly, lanky arms found their way around Bill's midsection and pulled him close. "My poor guy... so strong and brave..."

Bill giggled, burying his face into Ted's tshirt. It was an old one they'd gotten from a local band way back. His focus quickly left the shirt when he felt his boyfriend's lips on his face, however. He giggled and tried to push him away.

"Duuuuude, cut it ouuut--"

Ted continued, pressing soft, quick smooches to his boyfriend's face. Bill couldn't keep from giggling as he slowly made his way back to Ted's room.

He laid down, curling up and getting cozy under the blankets again. Ted was soon to follow, wrapping his lanky body around Bill's curled up form beneath the warm covers. "Hey dude, do you want any like, medicine? I think we have some--"

Bill just snuggled closer, humming quietly. "I just wanna go back to sleep, dude."

"Oh. Alright!" Ted pulled him closer and kissed his head as Bill buried his face in his neck.

It didn't take long for them to both fall back asleep, Ted's quiet snoring filling the small room once again.

My wife, @utopicwork, is working hard on a "next internet" with the primary goal of being a place where marginalized people can safely and privately communicate without being restricted by the whims of advertising algorithms and malicious bills.

This would be a decentralized peer-to-peer network, which means

A) it won't be easily shut down

B) it's built around the best aspect of tumblr: being able to choose who you do and don't connect to

She is a highly qualified computer scientist with years of experience in cybersecurity, web development and network technology. However, she can't do this alone. A trans woman is fighting hard for the future of free communication so please support her.

Thinking about Face the Music Bill tonight, boys.

He's older. He's standing in the mirror in his boxers, looking at himself with kind of a slanted grimace. He's old, he's less lean than he used to be, he's got wrinkles on his face and the curls are falling out of his hair. He's older and he doesn't exactly love it-- it only reminds him of his past self and all the adventures he and Ted would go on together.

He's standing there for a bit before his Ted comes in and stands behind him, wrapping jackety arms around him and setting his head on his shoulder. "Dude, you look even handsomer every time I see you."

"It's more handsome, dude."

"That too!!"

Bill lets out a snicker and smiles, leaning his head against Ted's. "I dunno, man. I don't feel... handsomer."

"Yeah but believe me, you look it! I like your laugh lines, and your smile, and your hair--" Ted looks down and traces the scars beneath Bill's chest. "I love everything about you, dude. You're my favorite dude for a reason!"

Bill's eyes start to water, and he laughs as Ted tries to smooch him over and over. "Pfff, shut up Ted."

"What? I mean it, man! I love everything about you."

The moment is interrupted by loud steps and some shouting. "HEY DADS, WE ARE GOING TO THE LIBRARY!"

"WE HAVE A MOST IMPORTANT HISTORY PROJECT TO WORK ON AND WE NEED BOOKS!"

Bill and Ted kinda look at each other and grin, yelling a quick 'STATION!' back to their daughters. With a quick kiss to Bill's cheek, Ted lets go. "Come on, dude. I'll make pancakes."

And Bill is left alone once more, staring at his body in the mirror--a body that he uses to play music, a body that he takes care of his daughters with, a body that his husband loves dearly, and a body that he will slowly begin to love once more. <3

Yes they did change the language of the bill but the sentiment is still the same. It will be used for censorship no matter what they say.

Today I managed to reach a real live human being at Senator Butler's office to register my concerns about KOSA. I went through my concerns that this bill would be used by red state AGs to silence queer people online. But then I did something that seemed to make an impression.

I got a bit more personal, and said that as a transgender person I am actually scared that this will drive me off the internet and cut me off from my community.

I also said that my friends have trans kids, who depend on the internet for support. And I'm legit worried what'll happen to them.

I think that talking about my personal worries for this bill really helped drive my message home. I got a somewhat warmer response than in the past when I've called.

I've said this before, but my guess is that if this bill passes, it will be similar to what happened with sesta-fosta.

Platforms will either ban content that might be challenged, or merely shadowban it.

There is a lot of fear-mongering right now about algorithms recommending harmful content to kids. In response, platforms may do the opposite: set up algorithms to ensure that nobody sees content that Republicans don't like.
