After AllStars ended, Gwen set out to find Courtney and reconcile with her. Courtney wasn't too fond of the idea because of their rocky past. Gwen begged to put their past behind them and start again, after some consideration, Courtney agreed to let bygones be bygones and start their friendship again. It started out slow, with a few chats at the local café, but after a few months, it became more than just that. Eventually, they had a blossoming romance.

They got married on September 17th, 2014.

Gwen became an artist and adopted 2 cats and a parrot with Courtney.

Gwen still stays in contact with Duncan, but they're nothing more than friends.

So I’ve been working on ideas for a Shadow The Hedgehog (2005) rewrite/AU idea for a while now (see my sketch comic rewrite of the intro here)… What if the multiple pathways are because Shadow is stuck in a time loop groundhog day style and he has to go through all the pathways to retrieve all his memories and figure out “WHO I AM” for REAL (and get to the final story)

Hopefully soon I can put together something that explains the whole idea better, but for now have this silly sketch comic of Shadow going insane :)

WIPtober 7: My Cup of Tea

“The Green Knight? Ah, now that is an adventure I am more than happy to tell!” Sir Gawain sticks his chest out, thumping on his breast plate proudly.

“Even happier after several glasses of wine,” Lancelot comments dryly, propping his chin on his hand like he’s bored. There’s a slight curve to his mouth that almost looks like a smile. Is... is Lancelot teasing Gawain?

“Indeed!” Gawain doesn’t bat an eye, grinning back, tone playful, “Makes you a better audience, too, Lance.”

‘Lance’ laughs rather than scoffs, shaking his head in a way that seems fond.

...Huh. Sonic is really not sure what to make of that. He’s never really though of Knuckles and Shadow’s relationship. Were they friends? They knew each other, sure, and cooperated a few times... but friends?

Percival seems to pick up on his confusion, but not it’s source. She smiles kindly at him as she explains, “There are many unique traditions and wonderful events that happen in Camelot, Sir Sonic. I, too, was confused when I first arrived at court.”

That wasn’t what he was confused about at all, but hey, at least Percival tried to explain something. Way more than he was getting from any of the guys, including his sword. Sonic flashed her a thumbs up, “Yeah?”

“Yes,” Percival nods solemnly, “It is Sir Gawain’s tradition to share this tale every Christmas. Usually late in the night after everyone has warmed up with hot soup and mead.”

“Because it’s thematically and seasonally relevant!” Gawain sniffs imperiously, crossing his arms over his chest, “This adventure took place /on/ Christmas! Two Christmases even!”

Lancelot doesn’t say anything, but he doesn’t need to- that eye roll and flat look convey everything he things about this particular tradition.

“And if we’re speaking of drunken escapades, I think Sir Lancelot avenging Sir Galehaut’s honor was much more noteworthy!” Gawain’s mouth curls into a sharp smile, giving Lancelot a sly side eye, “The first and last time our great kingdom has seen its mighty champion look so fair and shapely-“

“/Sir Gawain!/“ Lancelot interrupts his friend loudly, voice a touch strangled as he slams his hands down on the wood.

“Huh?” Sonic looks between Lancelot and Gawain, eyebrows shooting up his forehead, “What does any of that mean?”

“Your Christmas story, Sir Gawain, If you please,” Lancelot sounds flustered, eyebrows knitted together as he grimaces in embarrassment. Well, except for what appears to be a pink flush on his skin, although that’s obscured by the visor quickly pulled over the knight’s face

“Well, if you insist, my friend!” Gawain laughs, good natured, clapping Lancelot on the back as he stands up.

Gawain sweeps his hand in front of his face dramatically, clearly setting the scene, “My adventure began on a snowy Christmas Eve! As is the custom in our kingdom, we were celebrating with a great feast...”
