Zelda's Personality
I did a post about how Link, despite being a player insert, has different personalities through the games that appear subtly and can be inferred based on his behaviors and responses. So now it's time for the Zeldas! More recent games have given more of a shining role to the character for whom the franchise is named, and I love the variety between them all, so let's explore it a bit! (At least for the games that I've played)
Ocarina of Time Zelda - My gosh. I love her so much. This woman ain't a princess, she is a Queen. She is so determined to protect her people that even as a child she's willing to order people around and go against the adults' wishes, despite being ignored. This girl is determined. Like, BotW Zelda gets put down over and over despite her efforts and she is understandably dejected and goes along with what her father wants. This Zelda is straight up like I'M RIGHT YOU'RE WRONG and just moves on LOL. Not only is she determined, she has a plan. A very foolish childish plan because she is a child and no one is going to stop her.
And, naturally, since it's a child's plan against an adult who has all the other adults wrapped around his fingers, it doesn't work. Zelda is left with a kingdom in flames, the evil man she was trying to stop obtained the Triforce, and her father is dead. She's fleeing her home and spends the rest of her childhood in exile. Something like this could destroy a person. And maybe it did. But she picked herself back up. And not only did she pick herself back up, she trained herself to fight. She learned everything she needed to about the Hero's journey so she could guide him when he returned. She stayed in hiding to avoid Ganondorf's watch. She protected the Triforce of Wisdom. This girl is a certified badass.
This Zelda is a fighter in every sense of the word. Nothing will stop her, not even her own mistakes. But she is sensitive too, she's aware of the damage this has done to Link and is apologetic and so incredibly sad. She carries the weight of the world on her shoulders. (Granted, this is Adult Timeline Zelda, but she is just Child Timeline Zelda put through a different scenario, so... same personality for both of them, just different circumstances).
So overall, this Zelda is decisive, resolute, never gives up, empathetic, and probably a little reclusive based on how she's always left to her own devices.
Skyward Sword Zelda - This girl is chaotic and it's wonderful. She pushes her best friend off cliffs and sky islands. She bullies the bullies. She's training in a knight's academy, which more people need to remember dang it. She's protective, she's anxious, she's bossy, she's curious.
This girl is also pretty darn adaptable. Like. She gets thrown out of the sky, out of everything she's ever known, tossed into a world of danger with no one to guide her but a stranger, and has to recover memories of being a freaking goddess and endure a journey of discovering herself while also being chased by Ghirahim. And she does it. Like... Link isn't far behind her, he goes after her literally the next day, and she's already doing her part of her adventure. She was told the fate of the world depends on you and she said okay, then, better get going. Like wow.
She has to have a strong sense of self. This girl found out she was a goddess and told Link after everything, "I'm still my father's daughter. I'm still your Zelda." She was called Your Grace, she was a spirit maiden for a deity her people worshipped, and she still said, "yes. Yes, all of this is true. But I'm still me." Like... I know we see her during her journey when she's still processing and not the aftermath, but this girl has a will of iron and will not let go of who she is.
In summary, this Zelda is courageous, has a strong sense of duty, is a gremlin, excitable, assertive, and stubborn.
Breath of the Wild Zelda - Oh, this poor princess. This Zelda is so sincere and wants to help so much, but she struggles with discovering herself and her powers. She is endlessly inquisitive and absolutely crushed under the pressure her father and her kingdom places on her. She lets it out through understandable frustration, pitting it against someone who, to her, represents everything she is not, which is so interesting.
This Zelda wants for the pieces to just fit but she can't figure it out, and instead of doing some introspection she just continues to look for alternatives. When she does do introspection, it's just to ask why she's defective. Things just need to make sense. I feel like an attitude like this implies that 1, Zelda has no instructor and therefore never learned how to learn, and 2, that implies that everything else she's good at has come naturally to her, such as technology. This girl is a scientist! Who has not learned the scientific method! Though she does try experiments, as poor Link can attest.
When Zelda is allowed to just be herself she seems very sweet and bubbly and excitable. She's so happy when she wants Link to try that frog! She's also incredibly chatty, bless her, having to put up with that silent knight all the time haha (yes, Link does eventually talk to her. Eventually.)
I would also like to note that the instant this girl gets her powers, she goes straight to the castle and holds Ganon at bay for a hundred years. The instant she's free of that burden and bondage, she wants to rebuild her kingdom. Like holy cow. This girl went from doubting herself so much to having so much hope. She is a symbol of hope for her Hyrule.
BotW Zelda is uncertain initially, but learns to have faith in herself and more importantly has all the faith in the world in her people. She is inquisitive, extremely intelligent, energetic, bubbly, and very sensitive.
Twilight Princess Zelda - One of the more mysterious and less prominent Zeldas in her series, this woman radiates quiet strength and regalness. Also, her very first scene (or maybe it's a cut scene flashback in her first interaction in the game) shows her brandishing a sword to fight alongside her soldiers. Hell yes, Queen. But she also has the wherewithal to recognize when she's outplayed. She is wise and knows when to fold to avoid needless casualties. She is willing to put herself in such a vulnerable state in order to protect others. She knew that fighting would still result in the kingdom being overcome by Twilight magic with bonus dead soldiers, so she opted for doing it without the dead soldiers. Knowing when you're beaten and taking it with grace to figure things out takes not only wisdom but humility.
This Zelda is also just... so incredibly understated. Her sadness over her kingdom's fall into disarray is poignant but subtle. Her compassion for Midna when she's dying is muted, but so clearly evident in that she gives her remaining life energy to her. Her acceptance of Link as the Hero, and her sign of respect to him and petition for his aid is just oh my goodness, the regal bow, the willingness to fight alongside him, I love her.
With as little as she features in the game and with as quiet as she can be, she honestly is hard to peg down, but overall this Zelda strikes me as someone who feels deeply and expresses little of it. She's quiet, she's reserved, but she is humble and dignified and incredibly kind.
So there you have it. Some of the ladies for you. I love them all dearly and love to compare and contrast them. <3

There are many warriors, fools and children, Captain. The child in you can't see how things are, but how they can be. The fool denies his destiny, but it is the warrior you are who will create one. You are never one of these. In time, you become all of them.
This is the moment Kallus finally realizes that he's never going to catch the Spectres. And it's the moment that his redemption begins.
Every single episode Kallus is in this season he's met with failure after failure, and we witness his frustration grow every single time. He tries everything, has all of the odds in his favor countless times and yet every single time the rebels slip through his fingers.
And it all leads to this. This has to be it. He has the Spectres cornered against an exploded star cluster, they have no where to go, this time he's going to win. He has the laws of physics as his ally for force sake!
... but he still loses.
The rebels fly into the star cluster, completely unharmed. Meanwhile his Tie Fighters and light cruiser are being torn apart right in front of him.
I've seen so much talk about how Zeb sparing Kallus's life on Bahyrn was the prophesy of the Child saving the Warrior being fulfilled. I'm not arguing with that, because the prophesy was fulfilled time and time again in Rebels. But this was the first spark of the flame that saved Kallus.
This was the Child saving the Warrior for the first time.
Had this episode happened sooner than it did, I think Kallus would have continued to fly in after them and died - or at the very least gotten very close to it, with all of his men dead and him hanging on for dear life in a barely functioning escape pod.
He wouldn't have had the mounting pile of failures to humble him, wouldn't have had the miracles he'd witnessed the Spectres pull off as warnings to not take them lightly. When we first met Kallus he was an extremely prideful man (still is, even when he defects, but he gains some humility to balance it out), so certain of himself that he quite literally threw himself into danger numerous times with the expectation that he'd win, because he'd never been challenged like he had been with the Spectres. If he was still that same unchallenged man all would have been lost.
But Kallus lets them go, crawling away with a damaged but still mostly working ship after witnessing the laws and forces of nature itself bend to the rebels will.
And it destroys his pride, and his hope. He's been thoroughly devastated by his failures... though he is still in denial about why he's failing, and why he'll continue to fail. He still isn't seeing the bigger picture about the shortcomings of the Empire, he still doesn't think to ask the questions he should. Much like the Fool, in denial of what is destiny.
The next time we see Kallus is above Geonosis - with like 30 storm troopers, a handful of walkers, and... what? 3 tie fighters for an ambush against enemies that fought gravity and won?
He went into this knowing there wasn't a point. And the entire time his ambush party is distracting the rest of the Spectres he's fighting Zeb - and only Zeb. He follows him all the way into an escape pod, with the goal seemingly to take Zeb down with him, because he knows that he can't take them all. But if he can get one, the one who he's obsessed with the most, then it will be enough.
A very foolish plan, much befitting the Fool.
This plan inevitably fails, and Kallus is injured and stranded with his mortal enemy. Unable to fight anymore he submits himself to his failure, so certain that he's going to either be murdered by Zeb or freeze to death. He sits there, shivering and terrified, muttering about the monsters in the dark.
Much like a Child.
There are many warriors, fools and children. In time, you become all of them.
When Zeb spares Kallus's life, giving him the meteorite to keep warm, moving to fight the Bonzami alone, mending Kallus's hurt leg, taking his advice on how to get out of the cave, all before carrying him up the pillar and throwing him out of harms way - the child completely and undoubtedly saving the warrior - Kallus shoots the Bonzami instead of Zeb.
The Child saves the Warrior, and in turn the Warrior saves the Child. Time and time again. Kallus asks questions, he becomes fulcrum, he risks his life and safety over and over again to save Zeb and his family. And as Zeb found Lira San by saving Kallus, Kallus finds a home on Lira San by saving Zeb.
And it all started here.

Hi hi, Can you please to prompt 4 with Malleus,Vil, and Riddle?
Tumblr media
4. You met someone really wonderful at the Masquerade Ball and have been ranting about how he was totally the love of your life to your abnormally quiet friend. Actually wasn't he invited too? Maybe you should ask him how that went.
Hello hello and of course I can, and I agree with the first ask you sent me. I was not really thinking of Malleus specifically when I wrote that prompt but it really does suit him doesn't it?
Oh also, welcome to the hell site. I noticed you're new from the few asks you sent me (I was so confused as to how a blank blog was talking to me), I hope you have fun with the content on here. New people are always welcome with me, I know all about being shy and uncertain of how to interact with people. I'll answer the other Malleus prompt you sent in after I have done some others, it was my bad for not realizing you were the same person haha.
notes: they/them used for Yuu, full shojo manga lack of self awareness here in Malleus's part (it is implied to take place before the Ch. 6 reveal), just don't think about it is Yuu's middle name. The rest of the requests can be found on my masterlist here.
Tumblr media
Malleus
"Tsunotarou, you know a lot about gargoyles, right?" Such a foolish yet welcome question. Truly your unawareness of just who you are conversing with never ceases to amaze and infatuate him.
"Of course, I am something of an expert." He smiles, trying to keep it from showing the whites of his teeth.
"Oh well then you must be very happy to be in Diasomnia." Your eyes are sparkling, and he pauses. Yes he is very happy to be in Diasomnia, but not for the gargoyles. Briar Valley has long respected the legacy of the Thorn Fairy, and what better house could there be for the noblest of nobles than one that's very core is the spirit of nobility? But these are not exactly things he wishes to speak with you about, it would require detailed revelations he fears the consequences of.
"And what makes you think that, child of man?" Still there must be cause for your reasoning, and he does wish to hear it.
"Well your housewarden is one, isn't he?" You seem very pleased with yourself, but your mind is clearly very far away. Malleus stares at you, eyes wide in shock as he attempts to piece together what logic might have drawn you to such a conclusion. "I met him last night." Your dreamy sigh fills him with jealousy, just irrational enough that the thunder crack above you is quite small enough that he can convince you to remain outside of Ramshackle in conversation with him.
"Your mask is really impressive!" Your eyes always shone at the simplest displays of magic, it filled Malleus with a joy he could never quite find his fill of.
"Mask?!" Roars Sebek, his volume matching the pride rapidly feeling Malleus's chest. "Foolish human, this is more than a mere mask! This is a display of my lord's skill! A perfect recreation of old Briar Valley Masquerade tradition! His artistic talent has been woven though magic to bear his true face for the world to see-"
"That's quite enough Sebek." He does enjoy his retainers praise, but he has a task in mind that the over excited boy might- no will definitely endanger if he speaks further.
"But my lord!" Poor Sebek is torn between embarrassment, jelousy, and concern as he watches his precious lord observe you in the same manner one might a particularly expensive jewel.
"They have given me a most treasured compliment and I wish to reward them in turn." He bows, making sure to flourish his hand as he extends it, taking great pleasure in the little shudder that he only sees unaccompanied by fear in you. "May I have this dance, prefect?"
"Y-yes. You may." You seem in a daze as he takes you to the floor, just as unaware of the others around you as he is. It's wonderful, no matter how many times he visits you he has never had such a good excuse to hold you as this. Your scent, the weight of you in his arms, the way he can better familiarize himself with the subtle movements of your face is all much more real and overwhelming than he had ever imagined it being. It's all Lilia can do to drag him away, whispering teasing things about impropriety and duty to soothe the storm at his fingertips as he sees your friends scoop you up where he left off.
"He is a very handsome gargoyle. And so polite! But then I guess he is royalty so that makes sense..." The continued thunder has you inviting him in, mentioning something about tea he really can't be bothered to think about.
"No he isn't." Malleus pouts. "The nobility of Briar Valley has a reputation for being extremely dour and irrational."
"Oh. Well no wonder he seemed so happy I danced with him. Poor fellow must be very lonely." Oh if only you knew.
"Enough about my housewarden." Malleus declares without a hint of irony, bowing in a familiar fashion to prevent you from entering your kitchen. "He isn't the one you are talking to now is he? He isn't the one who you will be thinking about when you dream tonight." In a slight daze you take his hand, the living room fills with green fireflies as the storm outside slows to a halt as kinder, not softer emotions fill the young lord's heart. "He isn't the one your last dance is for, so focus on me, won't you?"
Vil
"This is why I told you to make sure whatever costume Crewel gave you came with a coat." Vil is beyond angry, with you certainly, but mostly at- life? The fact humans have an immune system that doesn't always work? You have no clue and your head is much too stuffed up to care. What you do care about is that Vil is here, and he really shouldn't be. Colds are contagious and Vil has so many things that he should be doing other than fussing over someone who is not in his dorm and not his responsibility.
"You could get sick." You say and he laughs, if you could see him, if he was not sat behind you on a bed in one of Pomefiore's empty rooms, you know the look he would have on his face. You would see his stupidly beautiful smug smile he has when he has something particularly cutting to say; instead you have to close your eyes and picture it as he pats your head dry just a bit more forcefully.
"Not my responsibility you say? You certainly seem to have a funny view of this." Vil has a word on the tip of his tongue. A word that's ambiguous, a word that would make his manager have a fit. If only she had been a fly on the wall during the Masquerade last night.
"My my, you seem a bit out of place." The tall stranger must be confused at your staring, but he seems more amused than offended. "Does my costume enchant you that much?"
"It reminded me of something." It would hard enough to explain to a friend what you are thinking of, harder still to a stranger. The scarlet costume could have been taken from a playbill, you find yourself looking him over for any sign of a folio. You highly doubt it's you the Red Death wants to capture tonight, but you cannot say you will protest too loudly if that's what he decides. "Sorry if I made you uncomfortable."
"Quite the opposite," the stranger does not ask you to dance, merely extends his hand and gracefully leads you off to the side when you take it, "so long as you praise me out loud you can look as long as you like."
"It's not like you got me sick." You sneeze into your tissue and Vil frowns, satisfied with your care but not with your answer. He had his suspicions that you may have made a... mistake in your assessment of your time at the Masquerade. But it did hurt him slightly to think that you did not know his essence well enough to have recognized him at once. "And I did get a costume with a cloak, I just gave it to the Red Death because it was too weird to see him without it."
"Mhmm I don't know." you say. It's such a shame Vil can only see your lips, he loves it when you tease him so much already it isn't fair he has to focus on something so tauntingly close and yet so far out of reach. "I think your costume is incomplete."
"Oh?" Vil makes sure to hold you close to him as the song ends, daring anyone to come close enough to try and steal your attention so he can laugh at the attempt. "What's your reasoning for that? Depending on what you have to say, I just might agree." You back out of his arms and make a frame with your fingers. "Kiss me." He begs silently. "Kiss me and leave a mark." But instead you unwind your cloak and fix it to his shoulder.
"Perfect. Now you really look like the portrait." And to his great despair you are gone.
Despite your earlier stated worries, you fall back into Vil's chest, tilting your back to look up at him. "When I'm not sick remind me to tell you about the Phantom of the Opera? I wanted to spend more time dancing with him, but I was feeling too much at home and got scared he'd vanish." Vil's eyes shine with a strangely familiar light, and he gently guides you under the bed's covers. Just before he leaves he kisses your forehead so gently it's all you can do not to cry.
"I think your phantom might be closer than you think." He murmurs against your skin and leaves you to sleep, tucking you under a mysteriously familiar red cloak as soon as your eyes are well and truly closed.
Riddle
"You will be too tired to do anything after the ball, so make sure to shower and go directly to bed."
It was good advice based off of a reasonable assumption, and technically you were not in fact physically doing anything. You were also quite tired, you had expected to spend most of the ball on the outskirts observing the display of feathers and paints but that was far from what actually happened. You don't think you had ever danced in your life as much as you had in the past six hours. It would be extremely reasonable to assume that after scrubbing yourself free of makeup and sweat you would be down for the count.
But you weren't. Your mind was running a mile a minute, eyes constantly glancing at your phone on your nightstand. It's an odd feeling, wanting to call someone and not being able to. It is also a feeling you have become deeply familiar with, the ache it produces might as well be permanently woven into your heart, you should be immune to the pain at this point.
This time though, this time the person you want to call could theoretically be within reach. This person was someone you could touch, someone you could hold, someone whose touch still lingered against your hands.
The little knight was just as awkward as you were, if he didn't immediately stutter out a protest you would have thought he was just as inexperienced with the whole formal party thing as you were.
"I know what I'm doing I just-"
"Then can you show me how to dance? I've been practicing but I'm not great at it." He stares at you, and you are worried you said something wrong until he laughs, it sounds smug you think but you can't be sure.
"That's the proper way to ask for a dance." He takes your hand in his as he bows, kissing it so gently you half think it was your imagination. "This is."
You pick up your phone before it buzzes, immediately sitting up in shock when you see just who is messaging you at 3:30 am on a Friday.
[Riddle] Are you still awake prefect?
[Yuu] Ace is that you.
[Yuu] I'm not covering for you if Riddle finds out you took his phone again (¬_¬)
[Riddle] What do you mean again?
The little knight's dance is stiff at first, but he relaxes as you continue. He has been guiding you to the center of the room, you belatedly realize. You must have looked frightened once you did. "It would be rude to stay in the corner during the slower songs." He squeezes your hand to bring your attention back to him. "It isn't against the rules to be bad at dancing, but it is to monopolize other people's space."
"Aren't you doing that right now?" You tease and he stops leading you, almost as if he hadn't even considered that.
"Are you not enjoying yourself?" He almost sounds afraid and you find yourself having to take over the direction of your movements.
"I didn't say that." Your knight almost seems to grow ten feet tall at your praise before he becomes aware of himself again and gets a bit bashful. But he does not take over again, content to let you set the pace of your dancing for the rest of the night.
[Riddle] Actually disregard that. Since you are awake, would you mind coming to your window? I understand throwing rocks is considered romantic but breaking a window would be most unfitting behavior for a housewarden.
You are tempted to tell him you are waiting for a message from someone else, but the unusual behavior has you at your window before you can even full form the thought. You almost drop your phone at the sight you see below you.
Riddle expected to have difficulty making eye contact with you. He expected to be teased about his failure to follow his own good advice, his costume has got to be a mess between the dancing he did with you earlier and the pacing he did once he got back to Heartslabyul.
But neither of those happen. Neither matters, instead you see him and the familiar scrap of paper you had given him with your number and a heart and fly down the Ramshackle steps into his outstretched arms.
"I'm so glad it was you I danced with tonight."

So…what’s the deal with Jamil Viper’s parents, if you haven’t already talked about that
Hello hello!! Thank you for this question!
Jamil's parents are, I think, maybe still something of an enigma!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They appear in silhouette during Jamil's overblot monologue, where we see them strike Jamil in front of Kalim for refusing to play a game, calling him foolish to his face.
Jamil says that his very first memory as a child was seeing them bow to Kalim's parents, and "(he) couldn't stand the sight of it" even at that age.
In the flashback Jamil's parents then plead with child-Jamil to be understanding of their situation (after hitting him), and Jamil explains that this taught him, "Kalim's parents were far more important than mine. Therefore, Kalim was more important than me."
The situation seems very complex!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jamil's parents are servants working under Kalim's family, and we get a little more information about what it is that they actually do in Jamil's third birthday vignette: Jamil explains that their duties include entertaining visitors (business contacts of Kalim's father? It is not specified).
When Silver comments on Jamil's admiration for his parents Jamil responds that it's not exactly admiration: he just wants to adopt useful skills, like their knowledge of foreign countries.
Jamil says he has not confided in them the reason why he overblotted in Book 4.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Jamil's parents' responsibility of providing hospitality has been hinted at before! Jamil says in a ceremonial robes voice line that his parents "immersed (him) in this world since (he) was a child" and he can "breeze through any social occasion," while Jamil's father sends Najma out to find him during Firelit Sky with information about visitors' seating arrangements.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Najma is forced to hunt down Jamil during the festival even after confirming the information with Jamil over text because their father "doesn't really get smartphones...or computers even," and despite how doing so ruined his daughter's own plans for the day.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We learn a little more about Jamil's childhood interactions with his parents during the event, such as how he would have to pick up after Najma ("usually with Mom and Dad hounding me to do it") when she'd run away from messes, and a time when he tried to escape his "mom getting on him about something" by hiding inside a vase.
Tumblr media
When he tells Najma to to stay out of trouble she reponds, "Ugh, you sound just like Dad!" Jamil responds, "...you've got a point."
And I believe that is all that we have seen/heard of Jamil's parents thus far! It will be interesting to see if they come up again the story, as they seem to have had a not-insignificant role in Jamil's overblot!
(Also, small trivia: Jamil's father in Book 4 is voiced by the same voice actor who did Floyd's deep Book-4 voice, after he trades his unique magic to Azul ^^)

Black butler Ciel with a older sister who rather spend more time reading, writing, spend time in her imagination, or her own self interests than run the company. She has her own business of running a successful book series.
Pairing: Ciel Phantomhive x older sister!reader Warnings: mentions of past trauma (not descriptive) A/N: Thank you very much for the ask and, as usual, I'm so sorry for the delay. If you don't mind, I decided to write this as headcanons. Also, the relationship between Ciel and the reader is strictly platonic. I have decided that I will not write romantic Ciel works anymore, because he's a child. And while I did have a crush on him when we were the same age, I have moved on and it would be highly inappropriate, I believe.
Tumblr media
I think it's safe to say that you are very important to Ciel. You are his last living relative after all.
It doesn't matter if you're close or not. I don't think Ciel would appear to want to be close to anyone, even a relative. But that isn't really the case.
Now, he's definitely not clingy. He's self-sufficient, maybe a little too much. He definitelly doesn't need to rely on you.
But that doesn't mean he doesn't like to spend time with you. On the contrary. And since you are the quiet type, it makes spending time together much more comfortable for him.
He would be the type of person to do his own thing and let you do your own, just...in the same space. He could be sorting paperwork in his office, but you would be there as well, just a few meters away from him, scribbling down in a notebook on drawing in your sketchbook.
It's comfortable, it's quiet, and it means the world to him. If he looks past the age difference (and that little voice that tells him that maybe your roles should be exchanged), he almost feels normal. And that type of peace is very rare in his life, so he takes any and every chance to spend time with you like this.
It was very strange to him though, mostly at first, when he returned to the mansion. The way you are so different. He couldn't wrap his head around the fact that you have no interest in the family company, or that you rather spend time in your own head than in th real world.
He does get the appeal of that, it's just that he thinks it's...foolish. He is a logical person, who always thinks ahead, to rule out any possibility of others taking advantage of him again. If he submitted to the luxury of running away from the past that still haunts him, he would achieve nothing.
But the more time he spends with you and the more he integrates himself back into the regular world (as regular as it can be for him at least), he sees that you're many things, but not foolish. Yes, you're a dreamer, perhaps a bit naive, but not stupid.
In the end, he prouds himself to be your brother. You have a great imagination and sometimes you help him more than you could imagine. If he has a case to solve, you help give him an outside look into things from a perspective he could never even imagine.
He appreciates your art as well. It would depend on your style and whether or not you were spared the torture he went through to determine how much, but he definitely appreciates it and thinks it's beautiful. If your style is a form of self presentation, translation of your shared traumas and deepest feelings, he might like it just a smidge more.
When you present the idea of publishing your own book, he is definitely on board. He likes to read your stories anyway, he can't see why others wouldn't enjoy it. He would definitely help you find the best publisher and arrange the best deal for you (with a little help from Sebastian, if needed).
When your book becomes a hit in London and the readers as well as critics start asking for a sequel, he feels proud. Proud of himself, for helping you make your dream come true, but mostly proud of you. For not conforming to expectations of others, who would assume you'd take over the Phantomhive company, but instead following your dreams and working hard to make them come true. It is that kind of strength he really admires. But of course, he knows how the world works and so he thinks his help was neccesary (and would continue to be in the future).
In the end, you have sort of a symbiotic relationship. Whenever you need anything for your work, Ciel gets it for you. Art supplies, sketchbooks, he can get you anything and you best believe it'll be in the best quality as well. He also helps you make deals with potential publishers or anyone who is interested in your work, making sure no one tries to scam you and that you get the most benefits from your labour.
In return, he asks for nothing. You already give him everything he needs from you. Your company. He gladly takes on the task of managing the family business, if it means that you can still sit by him in his study, scribbling away, as if nothing in the world had ever gone wrong.

Hi, how are you ?
I hope you are doing well and hydrated

..
-madara is proud greatly, sooner or later you had to be pregnant with his children and he can't simply feel more excited
-deep inside him, he is a little scared of what can come along the journey of pregnancy, so when you announced you were having his baby he planned a whole list of what to expect
-those are the sweetest and kindest months of his life, he is very abrupt with anyone else but with you he has always been a lot softer
-so now that you are carrying his child and that you may be a lot more sensitive, he had to always think before speaking to you
-madara is very helpful of course, even though he has the weight of his clan on his shoulders, he always tries to make time for you. he doesn't want to miss any day of your pregnancy
-very taken aback and offended when you have your sudden mood changes lmao if you are suddenly screaming at him, a part of him wants to argue back, but he knows that's just foolish
-he is there for you all the time, even when he is not present, he will have always a trusted person at your service at all times. if that person misses just a bit, they are banned lmaoo
-he doesn't hide his faces when hearing your weird food cravings, he gets them for you, but he is telling you honestly how disgusting your tastes have gotten
-the week before going into labor, he doesn't work or he is working from home. he told his counselors that you are giving birth anytime soon and that he will be unavailable, that's it, he didn't even wait for a response
-at the day, he is always by your side, yelling and cursing at people for moving too slowly. if you are uncomfortable, he will reprimand the people who are in turn haha
-his heart will stop racing the moment he sees you with the new uchiha baby in your arms, he is afraid to touch the baby, not wanting to hurt his own child, but when he finally does, he can't simply ask for a better thing
Tumblr media
-the moment you announced the news, shisui actually screamed hahah
-you have been trying for a child for a while now, so these were shocking news for this young gentleman
-a part of him doesn't feel ready yet, he feels that he may fail as a father and a family man, but he disregards those thoughts quickly, his full focus on you now
-he asks the current hokage to free him from his jounin duties and just give him short, simple missions so he can be near you if you need him
-itachi becomes your immediate maid when shisui isn't with you. shisui asked him kindly if he could watch over you and of course itachi knows this is such an important moment for the both of you
-shisui is very versatile and he can read you so easily, so your intense moods are expected by him, he tries to do his best and not disturb you more
-he is very good of course, shisui never misses. he plays manages to make you feel a lot better. and if some day you are upset with him, shisui does his magic and at the end of the day, you are back in your bed being spooned by him
-during the first months of your pregnancy, shisui goes to mikoto and fugaku for some advices, he hasn't done anything bad but he wants to be fully prepared
-he does too many extra things because he feels insecure, unsure that he can't be the father your children deserve aww
-your food cravings don't really gross him out, but he can't have a straight face when you ask for one, his expressions always make you laugh, his whole aura lightening you up
-shisui is simply wonderful while you are pregnant. he feels excited with just the idea that you are carrying his child, wow he can't still assimilate that
-every night you get free belly rubs, he is always willing to feel your belly grow each day, there isn't one day he doesn't rub his hands tenderly along your waist
-right before the baby is about to be born, shisui is talking to your belly, as if he were talking to his child. he has full conversations and will look at you offended if you interrupt him and his baby
-when you are in labor, shisui is there to calm you down with his hands, caressing all your swollen areas while holding your hand. he has high pain tolerance, so he doesn't flinch when you grip his hand tightly
-cries when his baby cries, and when you have his child in your arms, he asks itachi to take a picture of his small family
Tumblr media
-this is everything itachi ever wanted
-his face doesn't change a lot except for his soft grin and his tender gaze, but he is actually shitting himself
-he commits himself to never leave your side. you won't have a bad day with itachi because he is doing everything in his power for you to have a healthy pregnancy
-of course he knows there will be rough times when you won't even want to talk to him, and he is heartbroken, but he knows all of this is for a beautiful ending
-mikoto is there for you too, along with sasuke, and fugaku !! itachi's whole family is more than ready to support you
-when itachi isn't with you, any of those three will be there. mikoto is usually the one who stays the most, advising you with all the pregnancy. she loves you each day more and is glad that his son found a great woman
-during your first outburst, itachi felt so down, he actually wanted to cry from seeing you in such state; he was mentally getting prepared for the day you were going to give birth because he wasn't ready to see you suffer so much just to give him a child
-he tells you every night how much you mean to him and how thankful he is that you are carrying his child. he is very touchy and clingy during night and is always ready and awake if you need something midnight
-itachi can cook any meal, but some of you cravings weird him out actually. he tried not to make you feel bad, but sometimes he couldn't help the "what" that came out without thinking
-your new big tits full of milk make itachi fluster so bad !! haha he feels ashamed of even thinking about you like that but he can't help it ok,,, he loved your boobies before and now that they are full and so soft with his baby's food,,, he will ask to touch them every tuesday
-if you ask for foot massages, itachi is there to do them, even bath you if you want. seriously a part of him just wants to tell you to stop doing anything, he is doing it for you ok you have already done so much by just carrying his child
-at the day of labor, itachi is so nervous. he wants this day to be prefect and he won't allow anyone to ruin it. he can be blunt and mean if he wants to and he won't hesitate to tell people off when they aren't doing their jobs correctly
-while you are giving birth, he offers you his hand, it hurt like shit but he lets it pass. he is actually shocked with how much strength you have and how strong you are for giving birth to a whole human being. itachi respects you 10x more now
-with his baby now on your arms, itachi can rest now, however a new life will now depend on him and he is more than ready to start this new chapter of your lives with the best woman along his side

Okay, now let's look at these five now that we know that at least three of them have some kind of deep connection with the Federation.
Briefly, let's recap our Federation Three:
ElQuackity- Federation employee, high-up, seemingly very important. Possible q!Quackity clone. Bad Dude.
q!Foolish- Member of the q!Brown Family/q!Fooligetta Family, aka the Federation's Favorites. Is currently technically a Federation employee as a detective. Has been pursuing Cucurucho for months trying to get a cloud. Wants to be Employee Of The Month. He's got a crazy strong connection with the Capybaras, which are basically confirmed to be Federation employees/creations in some way.
q!Baghera- Former Federation child experiment, escaped. Presumably the reason the French Plane was brought down onto the island. No memories of anything before the plane, including her own torture.
But then let's look at the other two:
q!Etoiles- Federation Anti and Codebreaker. The literal only person out here able to defeat the Codes. Survived multiple assassination attempts. French.
q!Felps- The OG Kidnapped Brazilian. Frozen in ice like the 'new' islanders, was broken out by the Federation's Employee Of The Month, came back with a weird black mark on his arm. Disappeared, reappeared 'frozen' along with the 'new' islanders looking completely different.
So three of these guys have confirmed connections with the Federation, leaving Felps and Etoiles to the side... right?
Well, let's look at Etoiles first. He's one half of the Codebreakers, and he has the Shield that the Codes/maybe the Federation desperately wants. He came onto the island saying he wouldn't get attached to Pomme, but now he's the eggs' number one protector. Only two people have ever managed to murder him, q!Baghera with a Gun and then q!Willy with his mines. He's basically the island's 'Chief of Security'. He's chilling.
So, nothing there that we know of. Like Baghera, he doesn't seem to have a lot of his memories, but none of the French really do. They're like the English and Spanish speakers: none of them really have any memories of anything before the island except for q!Bad and q!Slime, who are hinted towards having unknown connections with the Federation. (See: the og character teasers where Jaiden, Bad, Slime, and Wilbur were all teased. Jaiden is confirmed to have an unknown past as a possible Federation employee, Wilbur is liked enough by the Federation to be able to leave the island basically as he pleases for his tours. Bad and Slime have memories of their lives before the island- Bad knowing about his time loop thing and Slime remembering having a bunch of siblings [including little orphan q!Mike] and terrible parents.)
Now let's look at q!Felps. He drove, and crashed, the Brazilians' cargo ship onto the island. He was the first character to get kidnapped (he's a real trendsetter), and he was frozen in a block of ice for a month as the Federation did... something to him. He was murdered by f!Cell in prison prior to the QSMP. q!Cellbit is his best friend, and he broke Felps out of the Federation through the literal Power of Friendship. Felps came out with a weird mark on his arm and a fear of Cucurucho. He spends his time digging a square, which is just What Felps Does. His skin for a bit was the exact same construction uniform as the Federation's Faceless Workers with the minor addition of pants, but tbh he probably wouldn't wear those either if he had a choice. He's also got a major connection with the capybaras. He disappears for a bit, but nobody questions it because he's. Felps. But, when he comes back, he's in a little icebox of a house near spawn and he's gotten a pretty cool makeover.
Felps is Felps. It's hard to look into his character too seriously because he's Felps. But it stands to reason that, out of all the Brazilians, he's the one most likely to have a previous connection with the Federation. (Let's put aside the Manager's Son!Forever headcanon and the Agent 03!Cellbit headcanon.) On his own, it's easy to think that he's just being Felps. But stick him on a screen with three confirmed Federation People and then Etoiles, and it's pretty clear that he has something to do with the Feds.
My personal theory is that Felps was a laboratory experiment that became sentient and fucking Left. He's an enigma. Only one person understands him, and it's his son. Even his best friend Cellbit can't really get him, mostly because He Is Felps. He's the server's resident cryptid. After he escaped from the Federation, it took them a While to realize, oh, shit, they lost the guy that gets lost all the time. And then he managed to crash his boat onto the island however many years later just as a coincidence and in such a sudden way that even the Federation was like "Bro what the fuck". This could explain why the Federation, who doesn't exactly like random people snooping around their island, never actually got rid of the Brazilians: Felps was back, and they couldn't lose him again, and keeping his friends around is the best way to keep him around.
That leaves Etoiles, who might actually have some kind of connection with the Codes. They might hate him and he might hate them, but they have some sort of weird Homestuck-y connection going on. It's a mutual hatred, and a mutual respect. If the theory that the Codes are renegade Federation employees who were turned into monsters as a punishment for trying to leave, then there's a real possibility that Etoiles is another one of those runaway employees. But, unlike them, he managed to escape. He got away, and they hate him for it even if they can't recognize why through their scrambled little data brains. But they can't help but respect him because he got away. This makes him another potential reason for the French Plane being shot down: the Federation realized that someone got away, and that he was on the same plane as their runaway experiment. He doesn't remember the Codes, but the Codes could remember him.
So let's finish this theorizing off with a brief recap:
TLDR;
ElQuackity and q!Baghera are confirmed Federation employees/experiments. q!Foolish is a new Federation employee, but his weird grey way of dealing with the Feds make him Sus
q!Felps has had a lot of weird Federation shit happen to him since he crashed the Brazilian Boat onto the island, so he could be another escaped experiment. Unlike Baghera, however, he randomly came back, and the Federation couldn't let him or the other Brazilians go because he came back.
q!Etoiles doesn't have an obvious connection with the Federation, but he does seem to have some kind of connection with the Codes. Because of this, it's possible that he has some kind of past with the Federation that has made him and the Codes have some kind of Homestuck-y kismesissitude(?) going on

Modern AU!
Tumblr media
ੈ♡˳ Il Dottore x Gn!Reader *ೃ༄
ੈ♡˳ Masterlist *ೃ༄
author's note ˚ ༘♡ ⋆。˚
this is like 100% inspired by this song "red flags by tom cardy" because it made me think of how the first date with dottore in the modern au would be similar to that song LMAOO,, something short b4 i post smth long, this is a mix of dottore hcs and hcs with you!! if i hadn't given up in art i would've made an animation with dottore with this song :( barely proof read and got a bit lazy im too tired LMAOO enjoy this mess
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ cw: basic dottore warnings, usage of 'zandik' (dottore is like a nickname between friends), (this is an ALTERNATE UNIVERSE okay? an AU where dottore is kinda normal-ish, so don't hate on me for the HEADCANONS. this is totally different from canon dottore), childe x kaeya cameo 😮, again, reader and dottore kinda crazy :3, timeline's fucked but the last section of hcs is when you've dated long enough yk!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As one of Zandik's oldest friends, Ajax could only want the best for him! Even if it's something Zandik doesn't really care about; take dating, for example.
Zandik's love life was basically nonexistent, and he was never interested in it in the first place. He thinks it's such a waste of time, plus, he is well aware that his 'hobbies' are considered weird, and his personality is hard to get along with.
He'd rather stay in his office, studying his piles of files and documents of his 'hobbies' before he goes to work.
Zandik only agreed to go on a date with this person Childe managed to find through his connections in an attempt to stop his nagging while he was busy.
It's not like he expected the date to go well. Zandik knew that once his date starts asking questions about him, he will be candid about what his interests were, and eventually, his date will run away in fear.
Good, the faster they leave, the faster he can go back to his research.
Even though he didn't want to go on a date, Zandik will still be so formal about it. He will arrive 5 minutes early, spray on one of the most expensive cologne he has, bring a bouquet of flowers for his date, and wear a very presentable outfit.
Zandik appears to be the best date of the century; that's what most people would think as soon as he walks inside the tavern Childe had set up the date.
But, oh, it was just a mere illusion of what he truly was. The question is, can you handle it?
He couldn't wait to see the disappointment on your face once you realize that he isn't what he appeared to be.
"So, what kind of guy is your friend?"
On the tavern's second floor, a group of people were peering down to the first floor. Pantalone, Childe, Scaramouche, and Kaeya sat at the same table, spying on the ongoing date between you and Childe's friend, Zandik.
Childe nervously chuckled and avoided Kaeya's puzzled gaze, rubbing the back of his neck when he raised a confused brow at Childe. Scaramouche, who followed Childe when he heard that Zandik of all people, was getting a date, along with Pantalone, took the liberty of replying to Kaeya instead. "He's weird." He remarked, sipping his cup of tea. "Your friend's likely to run away once he starts talking about something he's into."
"Allow me to clarify," Pantalone interjected before Kaeya could express his concern about you, "He's remarkably charming and well-mannered. Your friend will be in safe hands, rest assured." He offered a reassuring smile, yet Kaeya detected a hint of caution in his demeanor. "However, I must admit, he can be... intense at times."
Scaramouche crossed his arms and laughed sarcastically, "Intense is too shallow of a word to describe him." Then Scaramouche smirked at Kaeya, leaning towards him with a dark expression. "You were foolish to trust this idiot for a decent date for your friend. They'll be devoured alive."
Childe shot Scaramouche a warning glare and playfully punched his arm, then proceeded to put an arm around Kaeya's shoulders. "Don't worry too much, babe! They'll be alright," He said, though it sounded like he was trying to make himself believe with his words instead, "He's not as bad as they're making him out to be!"
Kaeya couldn't help but sigh and pinch the bridge of his nose. "Not that bad..." He muttered under his breath, watching you from above. Well, on the outside, Zandik looked well-kept and even arrived earlier than he expected, with a bouquet of flowers at that. It appeared as if it wasn't his first date, just as Childe had mentioned.
But there was an uneasy aura that surrounded him, and Kaeya didn't know why. And with Childe bringing two other friends along with him to see how the date would end did not quell any of his worries. Fortunately, he has Diluc to keep an eye on you as well as he serves other customers.
He trusts Childe a lot, but he doesn't know if he could trust this 'Dottore'...
Kaeya could tell that you were bored as soon as you walked inside the tavern and spotted your date. You seemed attracted enough to his looks, but it seems like you don't sense anything off about him. All Kaeya wanted was to help you find a lover, so you'd stop pouting at him whenever he talks about Childe to you, but you were so not into the dating scene. So he's a little relieved you're showing a bit of curiosity over your date.
But when you asked about his hobbies, Kaeya couldn't help but let his jaw drop to the floor. He couldn't believe what he heard. It was utterly disturbing and something that should never be said on a first date! His gaze shifted to Childe, who facepalmed in exasperation, while Scaramouche and Pantalone struggled to contain their laughter. He was at a loss for words.
"That sounds illegal!" Kaeya exclaimed, pointing at Dottore, his disbelief evident. "What the hell is your friend?" He stared at them, waiting for an explanation, but Childe, Scaramouche, and Pantalone simply shrugged in unison, as if they expected this to happen.
Childe offered a weak smile to Kaeya and placed a hand on his arm, saying, "Sorry about him really... I tried talking to him, I swear! But I guess he's just—"
"Is that so?" Your eyes were wide at his response. "I don't think you should be saying that in public." You commented with a sly smile, sipping on your drink.
Dottore's grin widened, revealing sharp teeth that strangely fascinated you. "Why not? You asked about my interests, and I answered honestly," he said, leaning in with a mischievous glint in his crimson eyes. "Don't worry; it is a completely legal hobby." His slightly threatening demeanor added an eerie allure to him, leaving you even more intrigued.
To everyone's surprise, including Dottore, you only smiled at him, face lighting up with newfound wonder. "That so? Then tell me more!" Dottore was caught off guard, blinking at you as if you were the one who told him something so absurd.
"Pardon?" Dottore straightened up, his eyebrow raised in surprise as he tried to process your unexpected interest in his peculiar hobby.
"Think I can't take it?" You chuckled, a challenging spark in your eyes. "I didn't expect you to say that, but now I'm curious. Now go on, tell me more."
It was surprising really, to see their friend, who showed little to no interest towards others, even towards his friends, be so engrossed in talking about his recent research and projects to a total stranger.
There was a light in his eyes that they've only seen when he's enthusiastically rambling about it. It was even more shocking that you were actively participating in the conversation with remarks, and questions, just full of genuine curiosity.
Dottore quickly forgot his disdain for this date, a grin permanently etched on his lips as you allowed him to keep talking about his research, no matter how perturbing it was.
He just felt so delighted that someone has finally recognized the potential his research held, and not only were you inquisitive about it, you gave him suggestions that expanded his realm of ideas!
All the while, you were excited to have such an interesting date this time. Kaeya always presented you with some of the most romantic dates you've ever had, but they always ended up boring you. And socializing with boring people tires you.
It was clear that it was such a big red flag if he was into such things, but you couldn't help yourself. He has a cute charm and the way he lit up when you asked about it? You were hooked.
Yes, wear that red-tinted glasses of yours.
Though the context of your conversation was slowly catching other's attention, other people in the tavern glancing and shooting the both of you disturbed looks the longer you talk.
The group spying on your date was still shocked at the sudden development.
Kaeya could feel himself grow weak upon the realization that this is your type of man. And as disturbing as it was, it appeared to be a... perfect match.
Scaramouche couldn't help himself and burst out in laughter. It was a welcoming turn of events; Childe was patting himself on the back, his previous worries turning into pride once he saw them getting along, and Pantalone merely smiled in relief.
But when Kaeya looked back down at your table, Dottore was gone from your table, and you were smiling and waving.
Someone put a hand on his shoulder, and Scaramouche stopped laughing.
"Having the time of your lives?"
Let's just say, the date ended with four people running out of the tavern with a pissed doctor tailing behind them.
Either way, it was successful! You exchanged numbers and set up another date.
Both of you wonder what this new connection would lead into.
♡.♡
Dottore has his own social media accounts. Shocker, right?
He rarely uses them, though, since his friends only force him to make one.
But he does use Instagram to post some images whenever he felt like it.
And just as you'd expect, he posts the most crude images you'd ever see in an account without getting banned or deactivated, despite getting reported half the time.
The posts aren't that bad, most of them are just aesthetically pleasing pictures of his study with filters, like his messy table, jars of preserved organisms, vials of dubious liquids, and his medical tools.
Sometimes, you'd even see some drops of blood in some pictures...
But it all changed when you started dating.
He still posted his weird, mysterious posts of whatever, but it included you.
It spans from just a part of your body being barely in the frame, pictures of your back while you examine his shelves of books he has collected over the years, or simply just you.
At first, you were barely in the pictures, and it still consisted of dark themes, like you holding a scalpel while wearing latex gloves. But the long you've dated, his pictures slowly became quite normal.
His Instagram account? There's never a picture that doesn't have you in it.
Dottore takes a picture of you whenever he feels this sudden urge to capture this one particular moment of you doing anything. Walking, talking, or simply eating.
He always posts the most unintentionally romantic stuff about you. He's so intricate when it comes to taking pictures of you, able to capture such photogenic shots even if you weren't paying attention to the camera.
And the captions to his posts always have articulately composed poems of how he feels about you, and his friends comment on the post, all confused at his sudden romanticism.
Dottore generally doesn't have a train of thought when he does this, though. When it comes to you, his brain merely thinks of you and goes "Hm, the lighting looks wonderful here, I must take a picture here."
And the poems? It's not like he thinks he has to post one to show how much he loves you through the posts, or anything like that. He just literally feels like it. It's like the emotions he has never felt before forming into words, and so he writes them down in the posts. That, and the fact that you seem to like them as well!
Dottore now posts the most jaw-dropping pictures you have ever seen of yourself in your life on Instagram, and no one's stopping him.
"Seems like you can't resist capturing every moment with me, huh?" You chuckled playfully, glancing back as you took a skip with each step, leaving him trying to catch up with his phone already in hand.
Dottore huffed, a faint smile tugging at the corners of his lips in acknowledgment of your playful remark. He held his phone steadily before him, keen on capturing the essence of your beauty. As you continued to walk, you could feel his eyes on you, waiting for any instruction or cue from him.
You knew how much he loved taking pictures of you.
"Look back at me, darling," He called out from behind, prompting you to turn with a bright smile. In the midst of your movement, you heard a faint click! from his phone, and you quickly rushed toward him, eager to see the picture he took.
With a smirk on his lips, he held his phone just out of your reach, enjoying the playful pout that formed on your lips as you tried to get a glimpse. You got on your tiptoes in an attempt to see, but he kept the photo just beyond your grasp. "Hey! Let me see," You huffed, crossing your arms in mock annoyance. "It's my picture!"
"Ah ah ah, patience, my dear," Dottore teased, slipping his phone back into his pocket, safely out of your reach. You let out a playful whine of disappointment, but he merely grinned in response. "You'll see it later when I post it,"
At the end of the date, Dottore posted the picture on his Instagram as soon as he dropped you off at your place.
Safe to say that you were shocked at how he managed to make a simple picture and pose look so divine with a bit of tweaking with the filters. And the poem he wrote in the caption? Nearly made your heart almost explode.
(This is silly, but he'd probably print out pictures he's taken of you and then put them up on a board or something, so he can look at you while he's working or just doing his 'hobbies'.)
But you, on the other hand? You always manage to capture one of the worst pictures of Dottore and it almost makes you feel bad. It's not like you're doing it on purpose, but when you try to take pictures of him when you aren't on dates, it looks so horrible...
Dottore isn't one for pictures either, so you can only take them when he isn't looking or paying any attention to you (which is rare in itself).
One time, you took a picture of him when you were visiting him in his apartment, and it was so bad.
He looked so haggard, his hair was a mess, and his room was dark, so the flash was automatically on, and his eyes did the shining thing the cats do.
It honestly terrified you when you looked at the picture, but you refused to delete it because you just captured the truest form of Zandik when he was at home.
Still, you decided to post it in your Instagram story, tagging him in it.
You expected him to get mad at you for posting such a ludicrous image of him on the internet, but he didn't even mention it when he saw it.
He actually smiled instead; he was just happy that you posted him in your account. Dottore may not enjoy having his picture taken, but he can't deny the genuine joy that fills him whenever you post about him.
♡.♡
Dottore is a pediatrician. And he absolutely hates it. He loathes every single second he has to do his stupid job instead of expanding on his research.
Like, it wasn't his first decision to be a pediatrician. He wanted to do something else (that may or may not make him a criminal, but we're not going to talk about that).
His family were all doctors and owned their own hospital. His parents noticed his rather odd interests and decided to force him to become a pediatrician to 'tame' him a bit. Make him less weird.
(It kinda worked in my opinion. I mean, in my modern AU HCs, he hasn't killed someone.)
He kinda couldn't do anything about it either way, he has a hard time getting along with others. It would take a lot of patience to even have a conversation with him, so he has been rejected for other jobs.
Despite Dottore hating his job with his entire being, he's unironically really good at being a pediatrician. Just because he hates it doesn't excuse him for doing it half-assed.
He knows he can do it with ease, so he will accomplish as much as a pediatrician.
Dottore doesn't like children, but he's so friendly with them when he's on the job. He's so attentive to their needs and responds smoothly to each kid based on their personality- you can say he's the best at it.
He can tell if a kid isn't being treated properly by their parents and will not be silent about it. Dottore would literally lecture them about it in hopes they do what they're supposed to be doing.
As long as he does his job properly, he can continue with his 'hobbies' without any problems.
Well, his opinion changed ever since you came along.
"It's odd to see you so friendly towards children." You teased with a playful grin, trying to suppress your laughter as you took a seat opposite him at his desk. Dottore wearily rubs his eyes, releasing a heavy sigh of exhaustion, before eagerly reaching for the paper bag you've brought and unveiling the lunch you specially prepared for him that day.
As he hungrily devoured his lunch, he grumbled, "Let me assure you, my dear, I'd rather be engaged in something far more appealing." He paused for a moment, when you wiped some crumbs off his chin with your thumb, "They tend to be loud, messy, and not particularly brilliant, you know."
You giggled at his response, shaking your head. "What do you expect? They are still developing." You remind him gently, trying to bridge the gap between your opinions.
"A stage of humanity where they are utterly useless and vulnerable." He bites back, his disdain towards them evident.
Before you could respond to his comment, a loud cry pierced the air, originating from somewhere outside his office. Both of you turned your heads in surprise.
Dottore furrowed his brow, clearly annoyed by the disturbance. "What on earth is going on out there?" He muttered, standing up from his seat.
Without hesitation, you opened the door and peered outside. The cries continued, and it became evident that a child was in distress.
Dottore sighed, recognizing the situation required his attention, regardless of his feelings towards the children. "Let's see what's happening," He said, reluctantly but responsibly, as he led the way toward the commotion outside his office.
He was about to take care of the situation himself, but seeing how bothered he was, you decided to do it yourself. Crouching down before the crying girl, you cooed at her and wiped her tears away.
"What's wrong, little girl?" You ask softly, patiently waiting for her to speak through her hiccups.
"I can't find my mommy!" She cried, wrapping her arms around your neck and sobbing onto your shirt. Dottore winced at the sight of your shirt getting soaked with tears and snot, but you couldn't care less, picking her up in your arms and rubbing her back.
"Don't worry sweetie, we'll find your mommy, okay?" And with that, you managed to quiet down her cries, keeping her calm throughout the search for her mom, all the while entertaining her and making her laugh.
Dottore was impressed at how easily you consoled the little girl. It usually took a kid's parent or a very long time for him to make them stop crying. How did you do it? Is it simply because of your sheer empathy toward children?
But what puzzles Dottore even more is the warm feeling throughout his body when he sees you interacting with children with such tenderness and kindness. It was as if it was just so natural for you to be so good with children... You'd make a good pediatrician, he thinks. A parent too.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" You ask, raising your brows at him. As the question breaks his reverie, he shakes his head, slightly flustered, and returns to his office. "Oh, it's nothing," He replies, trying to brush off his momentary distraction. "I was just marveling at how naturally you handle children, even better than I do, and I'm the pediatrician."
You merely laughed at his response, playfully nudging his arm. "Looks like I'll be taking your job then," You tease, watching him mockingly sneer at the notion. "I'm just kidding. But you know more about this than I do. You're the doctor here, after all." You give him a reassuring smile.
Dottore was silent for a while, eyes on you, as the thoughts of you being such a good caretaker lingered in his mind. He wonders why he felt so warm inside at those thoughts. He then glances at your ruined shirt, and he scowls. "Get changed, my dear," He insists, "I have some spare clothes in my office. You shouldn't stay in those wet clothes."
Smiling brightly at him, you press a kiss on his cheek, watching the tips of his ears burn. "Thanks, baby!"
His thoughts never left him ever since that day.
You've decided to visit him more often at his work whenever you're free. Watching you play with the children, talking to them, and reading books to them, slowly helped him develop a shift in perspective when it comes to being a pediatrician.
You're basically the catalyst of his developed empathy. He learned how to communicate better with children through sincerity, and it honestly helped him more than he could ever know.
Now, he's coming home less stressed because he's having fun taking care of them.
But he will never admit it, no matter how obvious it was. He still dislikes children to an extent, but you really paved the way for him to become more caring.
It's always such a sight to see Dottore, a sophisticated, grumpy guy who would prefer doing his own research or being with you, grab a toy and start baby-talking to console a kid.
When you first witnessed that, you almost fainted from shock.
God forbid his friends to know about his slight change of nature.
But the biggest change of all? Him realizing that he probably wants to start a family with you.
It simply started with him talking to Childe about how good you were with kids, and he commented, "Dude, then start a family with them."
Then the realization slammed him like an oncoming truck.
He couldn't help himself. He loves you so much that he'd be willing to have children of his own (adopted or not).
Be prepared for a proposal soon :0

"Here, it's only five coins. You bragged about being wealthy, right? You can afford it," you spoke to the middle-aged man who was flaunting off his wealth and riches to anyone he believed couldn't afford anything. Yet, his face seemed to twitch when you claimed a ribbon to only be five coins. "This is from Liyue, of course it's expensive! I came all the way here to Mondstadt for what?"
"This is over-priced! You expect me to pay for this?" He argued, refusing to pay you money as he held the ribbon tightly in his hand. "I'm associated with Prince Diluc and Prince Kaeya, so surely you can give me a discount?"
You sighed, rubbing your temple out of frustration. Who was this man, and who did he think he was? "I got all of these from Lady Ningguang, someone who works very closely to Emperor Zhongli. Doesn't that seem reasonable enough?" You would've gladly negotiated a better price. In fact, you would have sold one for three coins if he wasn't so rude.
"And?" He was obviously flustered, not expecting you to have gotten these from Lady Ningguang, one of Liyue's most important faces. "Don't you feel so foolish for selling at an unacceptable price? Most of this empire cannot afford to buy such luxurious items!" He yelled, causing other people to turn towards the two of you, whispering to their own friends.
"Just say you cannot afford it, and I'll gladly lower the price for you. Put the ribbon down if you will not pay." He scoffed, finally throwing the ribbon onto the table. "It was hardly expensive..." You mumbled, sighing once again. You turn around for a moment to look at the paper of all of your sales today, instantly boosting your mood.
"Surely you'll give me a discount?" The familiar voice spoke, causing you to turn your head to see a close friend.
"Childe!" You exclaimed, glad to see someone familiar in a land so foreign.
"That would be Duke Tartaglia to you," he teased.
"This ribbon... five coins, right? I'll give you ten," he tossed a small bag onto the table, making sure it didn't get in the way of other items. He held up the ribbon, admiring the embroidery on it. "This would be perfect for Lady Lumine, but I doubt her brother likes me."
"It's okay. If you were in such a relationship with my sister, I'd be cautious of you as well." You picked up the bag, taking a quick peek inside. "Thank you for supporting my business, my dear Duke," you spoke in a sarcastic tone, still thankful for his support. "Will you stay here with me? Perhaps we may gossip like Ayato's concubines."
"I doubt he would appreciate you referring him so casually. However, I have plenty of time to spare, so I see why not." He got under the table to be on the same side as you, sitting on the top of another. "I heard rumors the princes of Mondstadt are roaming around here. Perhaps you'll be blessed that they choose to shop here."
"What Ayato appreciates is not an important matter to me. He should've learned that the moment he became associated with me. Also, that man was claiming to be associated with the princes. Do you by any chance recognize him?"
"I am afraid I do not. He was probably a commoner, one that was just a bit more wealthy than average." He spoke with pure boredom in his voice, as if the topic was something of no interest whatsoever to him.
"When will you return to Liyue?"
"Great question," you stopped for a moment, deciding between ignoring him, giving a serious answer, or giving him a sarcastic answer. "Perhaps I will get married to a rich foreign man first, then I shall return to Liyue," you spoke in a voice that made it difficult to differentiate whether you were joking or not.
"Your plan sounds wonderful. If I cannot marry Lumine and you cannot marry a foreign man, we may get married, and I will share all of my riches to you," you almost laughed at his serious tone, amused by his response.
"Sounds lovely," you hummed, smiling.
"Excuse me? You're selling these items, correct?" A man asked you, standing with another person. Both wore cloths that practically covered their faces, making them blend in almost perfectly with thieves.
"We would like to buy this full row of ribbons," the other spoke, not allowing you to reply to their previous statement.
"Yes, I am. Are you sure? Considering each costs around five coins, and there's ten ribbon, you'd be paying fifty coins," You looked at the two, worried if they were about to steal what you had in stock.
"(Y/N).. I believe those two are the princes," Childe whispered into your ear before going back to his previous position, making you stiffen up immediately.
"Are you assuming we wouldn't be able to pay?" One of the two asked, clearly impatient.
"No, um, I just never had such a big purchase..? Most people tend to argue with me about the prices as well. Would... Would you like these packed?" You asked, watching as they nodded together. "Childe, put them neatly in those boxes for me. May I take your payment?"
"I'm a Duke. Must you be making me do such labor?" He complained but still got up to help you with the purchase. You saw how the two looked at each other when Childe mentioned being a Duke, making you worried. Thieves or princes?
"Here," one handed a bag of coins, you starting to quickly check if they paid the full amount. Fifty coins exactly. "Where did you get the ribbons? They are not from somewhere cheap, correct?"
"Of course they aren't!" You said, a bit offended, but chose not to have that tone held in your voice. "These were all gifted to me by Lady Ningguang, one of Emperor Zhongli's closest companions. I was allowed to sell all of these as my normal items were not able to be sent on time to me."
"I see," the both stayed silent other than the frequent eye contact.
"Here are all of your ribbons. Have a nice day," Childe said, handing the ribbons, all neatly folded into beautiful boxes. The two took their items away, not saying another word. "Sure, they may have been the princes, but weren't they a bit rude? No thank yous whatsoever. I'm glad we live in Liyue, under Emperor Zhongli's rule."
"Oh, please. If the Emperor was a woman, you would've tried to make her fall in love with you."
"Anyone would do the same."
____________________________
"Diluc, do you think that was Duke Tartaglia from Liyue?" Kaeya spoke, stuffing his face with food, forgetting about manners considering no one else was around.
"I doubt it. Why would he spend his time helping a merchant? They can coincidentally share the same name. Mind your manners, Kaeya. I'd prefer not to lose my appetite."
"She mentioned Lady Ningguang. She has barely any acquaintances, according to the rumors, she thinks very highly to herself," Kaeya spoke, ignoring Diluc's remarks regarding his eating habits.
"And you believed her?" Diluc scoffed. "Merchants are ones to almost never be believed. We got the ribbons for the candidates of women who will be competing to become wedded to one of us, I doubt they would care where it originated from. All they would care about is who gifted it to them, which would be us.
"But he looked exactly like the Duke, I met him on my trip to Liyue."
"Even so, it does not matter. Duchess Jean is more important to us than Duke Tartaglia," Diluc spoke in a bored tone, acting as if he couldn't care less of what Kaeya thought.

I've been thinking a lot about this incredible meta which I'm linking because it's a long post, that started off examining the scene in the Shrieking Shack in PoA from Snape's perspective (and then went very deep in incredibly, insightful ways - thank you @shakespearean-snape for recommending it! I'm almost done reading it...). The thing I keep coming back to is the way that Snape had no idea that Lupin wasn't in on the prank. Maybe I've just gotten too immersed in discussions around how Sirius used his friend as a weapon without his consent, but the other side of that is that Snape had no way of knowing this, and no reason to think Lupin wasn't in on it, especially as we're given reason to think Lupin had bullied him too, at least up until that point (which I'll get to in a minute). This is shown most clearly through this exchange:
“So that’s why Snape doesn’t like you,’ said Harry slowly, ‘because he thought you were in on the joke?’ ‘That’s right,’ sneered a cold voice from the wall behind Lupin. Severus Snape was pulling off the Invisibility Cloak, his wand pointing directly at Lupin.
Lupin isn't able to get a word in edgewise after that, but when his patience is tested and he finally speaks up, he merely says,
“You fool,’ said Lupin softly. ‘Is a schoolboy grudge worth putting an innocent man back inside Azkaban?”
triggering Snape by calling him foolish and referring to his trauma as a schoolboy grudge.
We see in SWM that Lupin observes James and Sirius bullying Snape but doesn't actively participate, but we also see in PoA that when Snape tries to work the Marauders' Map, the imprint Lupin left of himself taunts him openly in a direct and personal way:
“Mr Moony presents his compliments to Professor Snape, and begs him to keep his abnormally large nose out of other people’s business.”
It's implied that Lupin contributed to Snape's bullying more actively before the prank and maybe less so after (possibly reasons for this are in the post linked above).
Then there's this exchange between Lupin and Sirius, which takes place after Snape enters the room under the invisibility cloak, but before he reveals himself:
“Sirius here played a trick on [Snape] which nearly killed him, a trick which involved me -‘ Black made a derisive noise. ‘It served him right,’ he sneered. ‘Sneaking around, trying to find out what we were up to … hoping he could get us expelled …”
Whatever excuses antis might make for Black having tried to kill Snape when he was just 16 (or 15?), here he is as a fully grown adult responsible for his actions and well aware of the meaning and horror of death, and yet he's still doubling down and saying that it would have served Snape right, though he was still technically a child, to be killed just because he was nosy. It also underlines Lupin's lack of consent in the prank that he uses a passive voice to describe his own role, ie. that Black was the one to play the "trick" and that it involved him (Lupin), instead of describing it as something they had done together.
I find this to be the biggest contrast between Snape and Sirius - they have both seen darkness and suffered trauma and deep, deep losses as a result of where their lives ended up in ways that run parallel. Both lost their best friends and feel guilty for causing their death. Sirius feels guilt because his choice to abdicate his role as secret keeper resulted in James' death though his intention had been the opposite, and Snape feels guilt because he was the reason Voldemort went targeted and killed Lily, though that had not been his intention. Over a decade later, Snape has become a person who, while emotionally stunted in some ways, has changed his values and ethics and we see him become someone who doesn't harm Sirius even when he's vulnerable and unconscious, and who we later find out values life regardless of whose it is. Sirius, on the other hand, emerges from his own experiences at the same time to a place where he seems to be in a suspended adolescence in most ways and still feels it would be justified to cause Snape's death for being nosy. While it can be argued that Sirius, at this point in PoA is still experiencing his trauma actively as an escaped convict, I think it can also be argued that as someone who has seen and experienced the very real impacts of loss and darkness, it seems petty, vindictive, and skewed for him to still hold a grudge against a former schoolmate with the same intensity as he did before these experiences. ie. that most people, having seen the horrors of war, will think back on their perspectives of death and revenge as their old pre-traumatized self experienced them, and see the naïveté and childishness.
Therefore when Lupin says, "Is a schoolboy grudge worth putting an innocent man back inside Azkaban?” it feels ironic, given that Snape is acting on the urge to protect Harry and his friends from a man who not only showed his willingness to murder as a child but has doubled down on that choice as an adult just minutes earlier, and a literal werewolf who at no point has defended himself and made clear that he was not actively involved in planning the prank that could have resulted in Snape's death. Sirius, meanwhile, is right there, still immersed in his schoolboy grudge and filled with hatred for Snape who he must know by this point had been a spy for Dumbledore. After all, if he was aware from what he overheard in Azkaban that Peter had been the spy, then he must have also been aware that Snape had been one as well, given that Dumbledore said so openly in a courtroom full of people, including loose-tongued prisoners like Karkaroff.
That scene in the Shrieking Shack is so complex and laden with so much once you know the characters' backstories. There's also an interesting progression in the three times that we know Snape to be in the Shrieking Shack: the first time he nearly dies, the second time he's knocked unconscious, and the third time he does die. As a tragic character who spends much of the story willingly sacrificing himself it's almost as though Rowling is showing Snape to be going towards his death again and again until it's finally time.

The Empress Of Ashes - By 별보라 (8.5/10)
Tumblr media
The tragedy doubles, and then it triples. Trauma, fractured memories and cruelty are the norm in this one. It's about a husband that gets a second chance to protect his wife, but he's too obsessed to see that she no longer wants him. He'll force his happy ending through, not matter what. Even if that means going against everyone, including his wife.
Aprosa is a former child slave. It's implied that she was adopted by a priest, who became her father. Her husband is a handsome man named Ailec. He's too good to be true. He's loyal and smart and sauve and obsessed with her.
Tumblr media
He'll never let her go. She saved him when he had nothing. Ailec is a prince, but he was originally unwanted as a child. Even the servants ignored him. He had to forage for food like a homeless boy, despite his status. Aprosa, his rose, was and is his beloved guiding light. Ailec's brother took the throne, and to make a long story short he sucks. The country is in chaos. They need a good Emperor, and Ailec the unwanted is a genius. He married a commoner for love. He never thought he'd have to take the throne, but his country needs him.
(Being above the nobles who used to bully him feels great too.)
Tumblr media
Ailec makes too many mistakes. He doesn't give Aprosa any power. He marries other women. He even has children with them. The presence of the other wives makes power and respect impossible goals for Aprosa. The nobles just ignore her. Why curry favor with the commoner wife when there are other noble wives to suck up to? Ailec does love Aprosa. He only married to ensure his position and her protection, but she is a normal commoner woman. It's very hard for her to watch his children, from other women, walk around her.
Tumblr media
Aprosa naturally becomes depressed. The Emperors love is not enough. She begs for permission to leave the palace. If she's not allowed to divorce...she at least wants to live far away from him. She is disgusted with him. Her love is gone. Their first child died young. Their second is the Crown Prince.
The other wives know Aprosa is weak, with no allies but the Emperor. One of the wives traps Aprosa's only living son in a burning garden greenhouse. She rushes in to save him. The glass garden burns down with both of them inside.
Tumblr media
The Emperor calls a meeting. A ballroom of nobles gathers. The Emperor hires mercenaries to kill them all. You see, Ailec was blinded by his vision of his perfect future. He thought Aprosa would always love him, because he will always love her. He just doesn't understand that her love was a normal love. She never wanted to be Empress. Ailec stops acting like a reasonable man, because his family is dead.
Tumblr media
His other wives, and other children, were never family to him. He feels nothing for any of them. Aprosa couldn't believe that. His other wives also assumed the Emperor would forget about his foolish commoner wife. The fire was set around the Crown Prince on purpose. So Ailec makes the culprit watch her son die. Then the mercenaries he hired slaughter everyone else. Then, he walks into the resulting flames on his own free will. He wants to die the same way his wife did, so he can be with her.
Tumblr media
Then he wakes up with his wife. He's younger. He has time. He hasn't gone back to the palace yet. Aprosa still loves him. He is overjoyed and he has a new perfect plan. The best one. He's not going to marry another woman. In fact, he doesn't need to. He has a huge advantage. He already knows the secrets and plots that will happen in the future. He even knows when assassins will come, and he knows the names of all the fools who wanted his wife dead.
Tumblr media
Ailec is selfish. He doesn't understand WHY his wife is miserable. It's easy to blame the nobles and wives who were jealous of her. She was an Empress who did no work. She was only loved by Ailec...so naturally she hated herself. Aprosa was a slave. She doesn't like being owned and controlled. When she became Empress she felt like a slave. She had no one but the Emperor. No friends. She couldn’t see her family. Her only purpose was romance. Of course she felt like a slave! That's very realistic.
Aprosa has some fuzzy memories of her other life too, but she's extremely traumatized. She can't remember everything in detail, because horrible shit happened to her when Ailec wasn't watching.
Tumblr media
In her new life she's better off. She's more cautious. Ailec is more protective. She gets a tutor right away, but how can she win? She can't. She can't become perfect enough to escape her past as a commoner. Ailec isn't a field lord. He is the Emperor. Aprosa can protect herself and learn how to throw a grand party, but she will never be loved.
In this life she wants to leave Ailec too!!! She wants to raise their child alone, away from the horrors high society holds. She hesitates though. She says she will try. She loves Ailec. The horrible memories in her head have to be a bad dream.
Tumblr media
The two main contenders for Ailec's hand in marriage are both formidable. Buxom, blond Gladys is from a rich family and she's highly confident. Cool, polite little Valerie is the daughter of Ailec's best potential political ally. They try to tear Aprosa apart...quietly. The word slave is enough. A whisper is enough. Aprose just doesn't belong. Ailec is trying to force her into a seat that she doesn't fit in. He's erratic. His displays of affection and loyalty start to get more cruel. Soon, Aprosa cannot recognize him. Soon, nobody can understand why the Emperor is so obsessed with a woman who fears him.

Hello hello I am a random and nervous anon who will probably never interact with you again but. I would like. to hear your thoughts. on the minecraft diaries au u mentioned hjbskjdnfksfd i remember watching through that series like 1000000 times back in the day lol
YESSIRRRR I LOVE YOU ANON!
OKAY OKAY SO!
i have a lot of ideas for it and so many thoughts
1st variant of Minecraft Diaries x QSMP crossover.
qMariana is Aphmau, Juanaflippa is Levin and qCharlie is Laurance
Mariana just kinda appeared outta nowhere and Juanita got left at his door and as the Lord of the Quesadilla Village he just fuckin' had to keep her until he found her mother
on said adventure he meets this very pretty guy who for reason has really long green hair and pieces of slime on him like HUH? AND HE'S FLIRTING WITH HIM?? AND HE COMES OVER TO VOUCH FOR HIS INNOCENCE ALONG WITH HIS OWN KNIGHT FOOLISH?
okay and now he has a fucking Wyvern and offered to give him a ride? fuck yesss, but honestly even if he wants to jump this man's bones like every other bitch but he has a kid to take care of! and a village! also Foolish is kinda hot and Charlie is a knight for another village
Mariana just looks like his normal self, some people question the outfit but he doesn't really know either
Tumblr media
Charlie's outfit is exactly like Laurance's, but his hair is Green because his childhood friend, aka. Wilbur Soot, and who he considers his brother, dyed his hair and disappeared before he could change it back
Charlie ended up having to take care of Tallulah, Wilbur's daughter. Phil, the new Lord of Meteli also takes care of her and his other son, Chayanne. Missa is his guard.
Quackity takes Sasha's role, having died and turning into a Shadow Knight. Tilín disappeared after his death and Charlie is still working on trying to find them.
when Mariana goes to save the Chicken Shaman, aka. Maximus, Charlie sacrifices himself to save them, hoping for Maximus to turn Wilbur back to himself
he gets raptured and turned into a Shadow Knight, where he sees Quackity as Sasha, Luzu as Gene and someone else (i have yet to figure out who should be Vylad. )
Mariana is honestly fucking devastated that Charlie is in the Nether with no help and no way to come back, until he sees him while on a trip with Juanita. Charlie wanted to reach out to Mariana and hug him and kiss him, but he couldn't. the rage imbued in him by the Shadow Lord making it also impossible from pulling out his sword and gutting Mariana, the last Lord he served. but seeing little Juana there, staring at him with big bright eyes and a smile, reminded him of Tilín and Tallulah. it broke his heart and he fled, afraid of hurting the poor child.
when Mariana later finds Charlie, blind, hurt and nearly on death's door with the wyvern, Cucurucho (yes Cucurucho bc qCharlie's interactions with it are funny and adorable and sad) suddenly turned dark and disappearing
Wilbur, now turned normal thanks to the combined efforts of Vegetta (Zoey) and Cellbit (Kawaii-Chan), came to visit and Mariana left to give them space, but thennnnnnn
the High Priest, Rubius, is outside his tattered house which was blown up by Leo (Zenix) while he was on his adventure for the mother of Juanita. threatening Charlie
yaddi yaddi yada, story goes as normal y'know, except arguments and love between Charlie and Mariana and jealousy with Charlie over Foolish and Mariana
now misc facts about this version of this AU go! -> Charlie is a slime elemental and human hybrid. Mariana is still Lady Irene and i guess a reincarnation? Aaron doesn't exist in this version. Tilín takes Malachi's role, having died and become a ghost with the same fear powers, but Charlie takes them in instead of Mariana. Roier is Dante. Donna and Logan are Forever and Bad respectively. Jaiden is Kiki, and Fit is Brendan. Emmalyn's role is taken up by Baghera. Lucinda is Etoiles and Nicole is Melissa. yes. no, it doesn't make sense. yes, i know.
2nd variant of the AU!!
their roles are just reversed. that's it. Charlie is Aphmau, Mariana is Laurance.
3rd variant of the crossover
Charlie is Logan, Mariana is Donna and Juanaflippa is Yip. but make everything else and everyone else normal Minecraft Diaries or other QSMP members i honestly don't know
Charlie, instead of being greedy and mean, is very friendly and weird and quite diabolical, a slime hybrid. when he gets turned into a werewolf, it messes with his slime and instead transforms him into and eldritch mix of werewolf, slime and demon with too many limbs, too many eyes and teeth and claws, too much fur and goop and,,,, tentacles? goo goobie bitches
Mariana is a nurse who got moved into the "Babe House", and after seeing the hot buff merchant, he's very much into it and wants to become a sugar baby, but instead falls in love and gets married. mission failed successfully?
their relationship is very much playfighting and joke arguments that seem a bit too real for others. they are madly in love and have done el sexo de grande multiple times. even with Charlie in monster form. Charlie gets ruts btw– *gets shot*
when they get kidnapped, Charlie fights tooth and nail to keep Mariana safe, at the expense of his health. he's near death when rescued by the Lord, and frantic in going back to Mariana
Flippa, the lone survivor of the murder of her tribe, later found by Charlie, instead of the Lord of his village. he takes her in and treats her just like he would his own biological daughter
then when he sees Mariana again, reencuentro el sexo de grande
when they go back home, Charlie goes back to his job and dotes on his brand new daughter and his bitch wife like no other, it's sickening how much he adores his family
and during the war, Charlie stays behind to fight, wreaking havoc against his opponents. and during the 15 year time-skip, he waits for Mariana patiently, sitting at the docks like dog waiting for its owner. when he comes back with Flippa, Charlie almost tackles them into the ocean with how happy he was, crying with Flippa about missing each other and kissing Mariana breathless
the Backflippo family is one of the few who stayed at the village. Charlie is one of the few people who are capable of fighting off the bandits easily, along with the help of Juanaflippa, but he has to he away to keep getting more resources and food to keep everything ok and running
Mariana starts a garden at the wish of Juanita, giving them to Charlie to sell and Juana to make crowns of and press them. he farms as well and makes sure everyone stays healthy, rasing Juanita while Charlie is off doing business and exchanging letters with him almost every single day, sending them talking about their days and how they're doing while away
they're so in love your honor
Juana is very hyper and very energetic, practically hounding Charlie to play and teach her how to be a werewolf every time he's home. whenever that happens Mariana takes a big big nap and enjoys whatever gift Charlie brought back
Tumblr media
i'm so normal guys, trust me
hope you liked these ms paint drawings HSBDJDHHDGSGVS

My take on "why does Daryl agree to escort the kid" is that it's out of necessity. I have no idea if he'll truly bond with Laurent in latter episodes, but Daryl doesn't find him endearing or think the kid is the Messiah when he agrees.
In fact, Daryl has left the convent when the goons roll up to the gates, but he's still near enough to see that they're in trouble. Despite sweeping changes to his character, Daryl isn't that much of an ass, so he returns to conveniently save Laurent, Isabelle and the token POC character.
When they've buried the dead and sit around the fireplace, Daryl knows the three of them have to leave the convent. Before, he'd told Isabelle to stay put, that they'd been safe for years and they'd be foolish to give that up. Now, they don't have a choice and Daryl knows that by themselves, they'll die on the road, so he agrees to escort them in exchange for getting to the port.
He doesn't like the kid and has already called him creepy, which isn't like Daryl, but he's not so much of an asshole that he'll send a child out to certain death. The kid has zero useful skills, less survival instinct and is gifted with no common sense. He speaks like senior citizen and acts like a kindergartner.
That's my take on the agreement after premiere and for the record, I have watched the episode. More than once, even. Not because it's good, but because I was searching for subtext that isn't there.
Thank you for giving us your perspective. Daryl telling Isabelle her nephew was "creepy" was one of the three clips I watched from the premiere and I found it very off-putting for someone we know has been a father figure to kids of different ages already. I'm not saying Daryl should treat Laurent like one of his own because he's not one of his own. It's a transactional relationship like you said, but at the same time, it felt like Zabel regressed him all the way back to season 1 Daryl who had no idea how to respond to kids. The only difference is he doesn't sound like an angry redneck anymore, he just sounds like (insert stoic hero from action movie here). Once again, it makes me wary Zabel has no understanding of Daryl's character and no allegiance to characters like Carol, Judith, Lydia, etc. who helped shape Daryl into the person he was by the flagship's series finale.

since the idea hasn't left my head in days, please enjoy this not!fic about Cecilia Stirling and Valancy Gay. (Please note that it does include spoilers for the actual book past where the book club has reached!)
Cecilia Stirling Smith was hastily and scandalously married at 17. Her son was born 6 months into the marriage, validating the whispered rumors that flew through Deerwood. He died a year later, leaving his parents shattered. The marriage, although it lasted, is unhappy. Vincent Smith dutifully made an honest woman out of the girl he courted at college, but the love is gone. While their son lived, it seemed as though he might help mend the ties, but his death ruined any chances they had at happiness together. Cissy has been trying to have another child -- her son was the only creature she had ever loved, other than the fleeting first summer with her husband, and she is desperate to feel that again. But her health is gone, and none of the advice or tinctures or doctor's visits that her family showers upon her have done any good.
Vincent Smith is not a bad man at heart, but he is a foolish and impulsive one. His father is wealthy, but Vincent has no head for business and no interested in it either. He would rather spend his time idling. When Cissy was young, this whimsy swept her away, raised as she was in the stifling clutches of the Stirling clan. Now, older, sadder, fully dependent on Vincent Smith for her continued well being, she finds him desperately unsteady.
Valancy Gay is unmarried at 29 and intends to continue that state. She was raised by her widowed father Abel Gay and the Deerwood Presbyterian Church, and although she has been courted, none have progressed far. Valancy believes firmly that she will either find her predestined match or she won't, but she refuses to settle for anything less. In her secret heart she yearns for love and romance, but she has seen what unhappy marriage can do to a woman and she will not compromise herself that way. Valancy fell in love with Barney Snaith the moment she saw him, but he doesn't love her back, although she is his dearest friend, and she is content to adore him in the confines of her heart. She knows he likes her, and that is all the satisfaction she needs.
Although Cecilia Stirling and Valancy Gay went to school together, Cissy was not encouraged to socialize with Valancy. So they knew each other well enough, but never became friends proper. Cissy always thought Valancy very daring, while Valancy remembers how Cissy would smile shyly at her when her relatives weren't watching. Everyone loved pretty, delicate little Cissy Stirling, but Valancy always felt rather sorry for her. After the scandal, Valancy's feelings doubled down.
Their paths cross again when Cissy finds herself finally pregnant with her second child. The dictates from both the Stirlings and the Smiths are immediate and iron clad: Cissy is to rest. She is not to exert herself in any way, and she is not to get overly excited, for fear that it will harm the baby. Cissy chafes at the inaction, although she doesn't dare defy her families. It's Mrs. Smith, Cissy's mother-in-law, who suggests that they find Cissy a maid to help her keep up with the house. She has a household maid already, of course, but a personal maid who can help her dress and fetch her books and attend to her during the night would do her good.
Vincent Smith mentions to his friends at the bar that he's looking for a good, steady girl to keep his wife company. Barney Snaith, also at the same bar, overhears this and mentions it to Valancy next time he's over at the Gays. Valancy thinks back to kind, meek Cissy Stirling from school and feels a twinge of predestination. She has Barney take her to Port Lawrence the very next day to apply for the position.
The Stirlings are utterly scandalized, but Vincent Smith isn't a bad fellow, and he saw how Cissy reacted to seeing Valancy again. Valancy seems steady enough, and no one can find a bad thing to say about her reputation, although many try, and she's willing to start at once. Since Vincent Smith is the one who will be paying Valancy's wages and the one whose house she will be staying in, the Stirlings can't say anything. Dr. Marsh, once he sees how Cissy enjoys Valancy's company, also steps in and advises the Stirlings in the strongest terms not to kick up a fuss, for the sake of Cissy's baby.
Cissy thrives with Valancy's companionship. Valancy is there to help her, yes, but she also rapidly becomes Cissy's friend and confidant. It's a difficult pregnancy, but with Valancy's companionship Cissy begins to feel that she really can survive this. Barney comes to fetch Valancy twice a week to have dinner with her father, and he also gets to know Cissy, to the horror of her family. Even Vincent Smith is dubious about this, but Barney is never anything other than a perfect gentleman to Cissy. The housemaid is always around to chaperone, and anyway it's plain to anyone with eyes (except for Valancy and Barney himself) that Barney Snaith is utterly devoted to Valancy Gay. Even Olive notices it, when she happens to be over one afternoon when Barney comes to fetch Valancy.
If Vincent Smith is dubious of Barney, he is delighted in Valancy, who seems to him everything that Cissy isn't. She's strong and bold, neat and decorous but not afraid to speak her mind. Never has he more strongly wished that he'd listened to his father and not gotten himself involved with Cecilia Stirling.
The baby is born to great fanfare in September. Cissy's labor is long, but not difficult, and both mother and child come out of it alive and well, although Cissy is quite weak. They name the girl Jane. Cissy tells her family that she's always loved the name, but she confides in Valancy privately that it's in Valancy's honor. Valancy, who has never cared for her middle name, is touched and declares that the baby is welcome to full use of it.
Valancy isn't a wetnurse, and now that the baby is born the Stirlings start again making noise about replacing her with someone more suitable. Yes, she undeniably helped Cissy during her pregnancy, but little Jane is going to need good, solid role models and someone like that definitely won't suit. After all, Valancy Gay is nearly 30 and still unmarried, going tearing through the town twice a week with that horrid Snaith man, and entirely unashamed of any of it. Valancy assures Cissy that she'll stay as long as Cissy will have her around.
When baby Jane is two months old Vincent Smith tries to kiss Valancy. Valancy tenders her resignation the next morning.
She agonizes all night about what to tell Cissy. In the end, John Foster speaks to her about courage and truth and she tells Cissy everything. Cissy is crushed, but she understands why Valancy has to leave as a result. Valancy promises to visit often -- during the day when Vincent isn't home -- and to write even more often than that.
Valancy goes back to her father's house, somewhat at loose ends. She could continue as a nurse or a companion -- the Smiths would give her a good reference, even if the Stirlings won't -- but she doesn't want to spend her life waiting on others. She liked caring for Cissy because she liked Cissy, and she's under no illusions that other positions would be as personally fulfilling.
It takes Barney nearly two full weeks to work up the courage to ask if she'll come keep house for him that winter. Valancy initially scoffs -- Barney Snaith, who fusses every time she makes him take the mud off his boots before he walks into Abel Gay's newly mopped kitchen, couldn't possibly want someone to keep his house. But he talks her 'round and says he'll match whatever Vincent Smith was paying her -- Valancy and Barney agreed long ago not to talk about where he got his money -- and Valancy doesn't really want to spend the long Muskoka winter at her father's house. He has a woman to cook for him anyway, a distant cousin that Valancy's never really liked. So Valancy moves to Barney's island for the winter.
It's delightful. Valancy cooks and keeps the house, yes, but mostly they just enjoy each other's company. Barney declares at one point that her presence alone is worth the money he's paying her, never mind her cooking. Valancy holds the compliment in her heart for a long time. When she writes to Cissy about it, Cissy reads the letter out loud to baby Jane and wonders aloud how two people as perceptive as Valancy and Barney can be so oblivious to what's happening under their own noses.
Spring thaws out the frozen countryside, and with it comes Barney's father. Barney had been taking money out of his account to pay Valancy's wages, and Dr. Redfern had finally tracked him down. He arrives on a day when Barney is out -- Barney's been going out on his own quite a bit lately, and Valancy worries that he's getting tired of her. Dr. Redfern introduces himself and tells Valancy the full story, including the lost love, and Valancy understands. She understands why Barney had never seemed interested in her, why he always shied away from the subject of love and marriage. She writes him a letter and leaves for the mainland that evening.
She goes first to her father's house, and tells him that she's going to Montreal, to find work and make a life. He's sad to see her go, but he's in a fatalistic, predestination stage of drunkenness and doesn't try to keep her. She promises to write.
With some of her last month's salary, she buys a train ticket to Port Lawrence. She can't leave without saying goodbye to Cissy, who is her dearest friend and like a sister to her. For Cissy, she will endure an evening of Vincent Smith.
Cissy convinces her to stay the night. While Valancy is playing with Jane, Cissy, in a rare show of determination, demands that her husband find Barney Snaith and tell him that Valancy is staying with them, and that he must talk with her as soon as possible. She knows the two of them, and knows that without some intervention of the non Divine kind, they will drift apart from each other forever and both be miserable thinking they've set the other free.
Barney arrives at the Smith house the next morning, not having slept a wink all night but freshly washed and shaved and wearing clean clothes. The housemaid lets him in with a poorly concealed laugh -- she watched him and Valancy for nearly a year same as Cissy did -- and takes him to Valancy's room.
Barney confesses everything to Valancy. Not that he loves her, not quite yet, but about his childhood and his adolescence and the girl who got away. He compares it to Cissy and Vincent Smith, and how unhappy they have become with each other. Slowly, Valancy relaxes, but she's not ready to come back yet. She realized, in her own sleepless night, that she can't keep living in hope that God will do everything on His own. If she is going to meet her predestined love, she needs to go out and find him. It's then, when he realizes that she's still serious about leaving without him, that Barney blurts out that he loves her. He hadn't known, hadn't realized until he came home and found her gone, but he's loved her for years.
Valancy is very still. Her world is spinning before her, all the certainties save one crashing down. Without thinking further, she asks him to marry her.
Barney hesitates, Valancy pulls back, and just as the housemaid thinks that it's ruined after all, Barney breaks into laughter and kisses Valancy, saying he's always liked a girl who went after what she wanted. After the kiss, he says he might as well tell her everything, and Valancy figures that this is where he admits to the terrible crime that they'd joked about his having committed for years. Instead, he admits to being John Foster, and it says something about the emotions of the day that this is the least important of the revelations.
Barney and Valancy marry in a small ceremony at the Presbyterian church that Cissy, in a second bout of determination in as many days, insists on attending. After the ceremony, Barney pulls Vincent aside and, married man to married man, tells him that he really needs to get his act together. He's never going to be the husband that Cissy longs for, but he can be a husband she grows to like again, and he owes it to her and to their child to be that person. If he really can't do that, he needs to once again step up, like he did when they married, and get a divorce, instead of keeping her chained to him while he makes eyes at the maids.
Valancy steadfastly refuses to be a society hostess, and Barney promises her she won't have to be. They plan to travel for their honeymoon and then settle in Montreal, out of the city but near enough that they can visit his father regularly. Cissy and Valancy keep up a correspondence, and when Valancy and Barney return to Montreal, Cissy and Vincent and Jane visit regularly. Over the course of these visits, Vincent takes an interest in Dr. Redfern's work. Since it's clear that Barney is never going to consent to take over the business, Dr. Redfern takes Vincent on as a potential successor. Things between Vincent and Cissy aren't perfect, but they are better -- Vincent is trying to take Barney's words to heart, and Cissy is learning to assert herself when she needs to. Amelia Stirling is just thrilled to bits that her daughter is Mrs. Redfern's intimate friend, and that her son-in-law is poised to take over the business when Dr. Redfern retires. Olive is positively sick over the entire affair. Valancy thinks it's the funniest thing she's ever seen.

Would a marriage between Bingley and Georgiana work?
Been thinking about this all evening and my answer has to be: yes! Chances are it would be very successful and happy.
Firstly, from a pragmatic point of view, it's very suitable. They are of the same social class and income bracket, they move in the same circles, their families are friends. Everyone would be rooting for them, nobody would be offended. They are also suitable ages for a positive connection. Yes, currently Georgiana is only 16 but in two years time she will be 18 and Bingley about 25. This is roughly the same age gap as Henry and Catherine in Northanger Abbey and probably similar to both Fanny and Edmund and Elinor and Edward and, for that matter, Wentworth and Anne the first time round. Darcy is unlikely to pressure his sister into making a match too early and while 16 year old Georgiana, shy and barely out in society might not be appealing to Bingley, 18 year old Georgiana with a year or so of social exposure and just a bit older probably could.
Then take into account personalities. Georgiana and Bingley are already close through Bingley and Darcy's friendship and Georgiana's friendship with Caroline. This might not be Georgiana's greatest relationship in her life but I don't expect she has many friends... She's been romantically traumatised by her experience with Wickham so feeling safe with a man and trusting him will probably be key in any relationship she forms. She would definitely feel that with Bingley and know he is someone her brother approves of. We also see from her liking of Elizabeth that, while quiet and reserved herself, she is drawn to lively, open characters (as Darcy is) and so the chances are that she would find Bingley attractive as a person as well as the fact that he is handsome. In fact, if Georgiana doesn't already have a little crush, I'd be surprised.
As for Bingley, we know he has a habit of falling for women easily. I expect Georgiana is too firmly in the "best friend's little sister, basically a child" camp for him to be interested in her during the time period of the novel but, again, there's no reason that he couldn't "see her differently" when she appears at a ball some time and friendly interest could become romantic over time, provided someone more shiny doesn't appear first. (Darcy's main worry!) Furthermore, Bingley's attraction and love of Jane also shows that he is drawn to gentle, quiet, reserved women who do not easily show their emotions to strangers. (... Wow, suddenly Jane is reminding me of someone! :P) So it is entirely possible that, provided he could get over knowing Georgiana too well when she is too young, he would be attracted to her personality.
And considering the nature of marriage at that time, alliances between connected families (even between cousins) who had known each other a long time was completely normal.
In short, yes, I think it could certainly work. Darcy and Caroline are not being foolish in hoping for the match.
