#but it's a really good point for when they could get resolved off screen afterwards and it wouldn't feel weird so I don't mind

Tails's arc in Frontiers... technically I agree with everything that's happening but some wording throws me off.
No one says "I'm wildly inconsistent". Him looking at the camera and saying "I've been written out of character for the last few games" would feel exactly the same.

Part 2: Anime and Other Media
This is the story section of my 2023 retrospective. Any story telling media goes. Anime, live action movies, cartoons, it's all game. The other parts of the retrospective are linked below.
Playlist | Prefix | Part 1: Music | Part 2: Anime and Other Media | Awards Section
My Anime burnout is still holding on, but actually it’s depression so yeah. My life sucks right now and I can’t even enjoy the media that used to bring me joy. It’s rare for something to hold my attention nowadays, because I feel like half a person.
But I tried, and there were some things I can list at least.
Jujutsu Kaisen aired its second season, which was great. I mentioned the openings earlier in the music segment, but the season also adapted the manga’s two best arcs, so that was obviously fun. What wasn’t fun was a certain manga chapter which really felt like the author was just fucking with us. Even if you hate your own characters, at least respect them enough to not explicitly contradict their previous characterization and entire point of their arc to make them look worse in a chapter where you kill them off screen. It’s been a while since I felt this betrayed by a story I previously enjoyed a lot. Which was all the more funny because Bungou Stray Dogs did some similar fucking around nearly at the same time, and that was resolved in a much, much less infuriating way. And yes, the new season of the anime was just as good as all the previous ones. Bones puts way too much effort into making this show look pretty. Then we had Jigokuraku, which is another point for the new generation of Weekly Shounen Jump. They’ve collected a strong line-up in recent years. Spy X Family is also great, and Anya is best girl, obviously. Finally, there was the second season of Link Click, which we expected at least a year earlier. But the wait was worth it. The creators said it was pushed back so they could deliver the best possible version of the season, and damn did they ever do that. It’s a departure from season one in many ways, but the ongoing storyline was no less compelling than the episodic ones in season one, and I can’t wait for season three. The show also looks unreasonably great, especially its opening, which is a work of art. The insert songs are great as well, “Until It Dies” especially.
Speaking of insert songs though, I watched Helluva Boss in 2023, and I loved it. It’s certainly not a perfect show, but what it nails, it really nails. Season two is much more of a mixed bag than season one, but “Oops” and “Mammon’s Magnificent Musical” did a lot to redeem it. It’s certainly been a while since I had brainrot as bad as the one these two episodes gave me. Fizz and Asmodeus are the best things about this season and it’s not even close. It doesn't hurt that they’re great together, and also that anytime Fizz gets a song it’s also great.
I didn’t care much for the music in this show before. Sure, there were some nice tracks, but none I went back to afterwards, and they were never the best moment of the episode, with maybe the exception of “House of Asmodeus”, but well, that’s also Fizz and Asmodeus, so I rest my case. But “Look At This” was the first time a song in this show made me laugh. It’s absurd, it’s hilarious, it suits the character and the scene in the show where it happens, it switches genre like five times, and it’s utter nonsense. It’s great. So when Fizz got more songs in the next episode I was on board immediately. “Crooked” is nice and wholesome, and it comes at a moment in the episode where that was desperately needed. But “2 Minutes Notice”. Man. This song took over my life for a while. Within the context of the episode it’s a great cathartic moment, but even without that it still slaps. I wish they’d release the song properly, but even as a rip from an episode, sound effects and all, it’s still one of my most played songs of 2023.
And since the playlist is only music, I guess I have to add “Just Look My Way” to it as well. It’s the best they’ve written this character and ship all season, and if that’s any indication for the quality of episodes to come I’m optimistic.
In other news I listened to the Sandman audiobooks and they’re great. I never read comics but I might have to make an exception for Neil Gaiman, who could’ve guessed. I’m anxiously awaiting the release of the fourth and final part of the audiobooks too, I have a feeling about how this story is going to end, and I really hope that I’m wrong about it, I will cry otherwise.
Speaking of which, Good Omens Season 2 sure happened too. I laughed, I cried, I had the usual brainrot phase, I can’t wait for season three.
Finally, I want to mention a few movies I watched in cinema this year. Puss In Boots was great, and I enjoyed the second Spiderverse movie more than the first because it felt surer of who its target audience was.
Barbie was fun but ultimately a too compromised vision to be truly great. A visual masterpiece that isn’t allowed to be as revolutionary or even just as feminist as it wants to be because it can’t make Martell look too bad, who’s going to buy their products if it does?
Oppenheimer meanwhile is that great. I left the cinema and immediately wanted to watch it again. The sequence leading up to the trinity test is a masterclass of building tension, and it’s hard to believe that this movie is three hours of men sitting in rooms talking, because it’s such an engaging watch. Absolutely brilliant work, and I can’t wait to see it get snubbed at the Oscars because that is what happens when the public likes a movie.

I had... such a hard time reading River of Fire. This book clearly has no sense for what it's trying to say or where it's going. Chapter lengths vary wildly (chapter 1 is 17 pages, chapter 9 is barely 5 pages and ends so abruptly) and any development for the characters is limited to an even more severe version of AVoS's usual problem —putting in a lot of short time skips and telling us afterwards that a problem was resolved off-screen, leading to a book that is almost entirely filler. (Funniest example is how a chapter-end cliffhanger was that Squirrelflight was one of the sickest cats in camp, and then in the next chapter some time has gone by and it's offhandedly mentioned that she's recovering well. She doesn't actually appear in a scene even once until after the plague is over.) I can feel the author struggling to find something to write about. And it's weird and sad to me because there actually is potential for a good plot here.
At this point, we've got a lot of cats struggling to find their place and fit into their homes: Twigpaw, Tree, Yarrowleaf, and sort of Sleekwhisker — she's ultimately a traitor, but still. All of these cats have a personal connection to Violetshine. She feels betrayed and depressed by Twigpaw going back to ThunderClan, she feels personally responsible for Tree because she found him and brought him here and — as is her typical pattern — she got attached to him really quickly for that reason, and she sympathizes with Sleekwhisker and Yarrowleaf but remains angry and distrustful towards them for their role in ShadowClan's dissolution and Needletail's murder. ShadowClan as a whole is just trying to get by and fit into SkyClan. This is a very unsettling time for both Clans, and for Violetshine in particular.
I would love for the plot to focus on this! Give me a book about Violetshine throwing everything into her friendship with Tree out of desperation to make someone in her life stay with her, spending time with Sleekwhisker and Yarrowleaf, and gaining some insight from her time with all of them about how hard it is to figure out where you belong when you don't really fit in anywhere and your loyalties are split between different groups. Bringing this understanding to her relationship with Twigpaw and learning to forgive her for leaving and trust her to make the right choices. Finpaw can also fit into that category of cats who are trying to fit into a new Clan. He and Twigpaw can be a great parallel/contrast to what's going on in SkyClan.
These elements are touched on only briefly — if at all — in the actual book and it's so disappointing. All relationships and character development are ignored in favor of devoting every single chapter to someone worrying about yet another vague and spooky prophecy and doing absolutely nothing about it. I'm with Jayfeather on this one — I'm sick of the prophecy.
A story is only ever as strong as its characters. This is why AVoS feels so weak to me — especially River of Fire — because the characters are not the focus. No matter how interesting they could be, they're always pushed aside. It's always about whatever prophecy of the day mentions the words "darkness" or "shadows" and ultimately barely matters.

     ✧༺♥༻∞ ∞༺♥༻✧ ✧༺♥༻∞ ∞༺♥༻✧ ✧༺♥༻∞
Okay, this was probably the stupidest decision you had made in awhile. Or rather, the stupidest decision Hyunjin had made that you agreed to. You knew the moment your best friend invited himself over to your apartment for a “movie night”, that there was something going on.
Hyunjin: hey are u busy
You: I mean, not really ? It’s 9pm jinnie
Hyunjin: right ok cool I’m coming over
You: Wait, what? Why?
Hyunjin: you’ll see, be there in five
Your eyes bulge out of your head at his boldness. Regardless, you made sure your apartment was visitor friendly, even though you knew he wouldn’t care. Hyunjin has been your best friend since junior year of high school. Now into your second year of college, the two of you have been through pretty much everything.
True to his word, five minutes later Hyunjin walked into your apartment and dramatically flopped onto your couch. You watched him while you walked into the living room, the blonde haired boy making himself comfortable before turning to you.
“Okay, so why do I have the pleasure of being graced with your presence at this time of night?” You asked, taking a seat next to him. He looked at you weirdly, he was hiding something.
“Look. Just hear me out,” he starts, and alarms immediately go off in your head. “Hwang Hyunjin what did you do?” You ask him, eyes narrowing. Sticking his hands out defensively, he sits up right on the couch. “I didn’t do anything !! I just… so the boys and I were talking about movies today, yeah?” He started. Unsure of where this was going, and why you were involved, you nod your head slowly.
“And there’s this movie, called 365 Days? Have you heard of it?” He asks cautiously.
Yeah, you had heard of it. It was the biggest trend going around right now. Some movie about a guy that meets a woman, kidnaps her and wants her to fall in love with him within a year, and if not she gets to leave. Everything you’ve heard about it has been a mix of cringe and intrigue. The movie is extremely dirty, you’ve heard.
“Yeah, I’ve heard of it.” You say nonchalantly, waiting to see where the conversation takes you. “Ah, well, uh.. Ha-have you seen it?” He looks too embarrassed to look you in the eye. “No, I haven’t, Hyunjin. What does any of this have to do with me?” You question. Hyunjin shifts around in his spot on the couch. “Well, the boys..the b-boys dared me to watch it and I don’t want to watch it alone! Will you please watch it with me? Please?” He says quickly. Your eyes widen, not able to believe that this was the reason he was in your living room.
“Wouldn’t it be weird?!”
“No! Y/N we’ve been friends for so long and it’s not like we’re not comfortable with each other!!” He reasons. “Hyunjin, it’s basically porn!” You laugh, unsure how to correctly convey your emotions. “Look, let’s watch like half of it. You know I can’t back down on a dare, Y/N please,” he begs. You weighed the options. Would it be weird? Maybe a little, but he’s right. You’re comfortable with him. What could go wrong, right? It’s just a movie.
Sighing, you see his face light up in victory. “Fine,” you say and grab the remote, searching for the movie.
Oh boy, were you wrong.
This movie was way more sexual than you had originally thought. Yeah, you had heard the rumors about the infamous Boat Scene, where the main character finally gives in to her male kidnapper and they spend what seems like the entire day absolutely railing each other, but you didn’t think it would be this…graphic.
You were basically sitting on your couch watching softcore porn with your best friend. If someone had told you that this was how you would be spending your night, you’d laugh in their face. But here you are, sitting five feet apart from Hyunjin on the couch, both of you too afraid to make eye contact with each other as the two main characters have yet another round, this time on the front deck of the boat.
You were definitely hot and bothered at this point, how could you not be? You tried to be subtle, shifting back and forth on the couch to try and relieve some of the pressure you were feeling between your thighs. You couldn’t wait for Hyunjin to get out of here so you could take care of it yourself, his presence not helping you in the slightest.
Hyunjin is hot, everyone knows it. His long hair dyed a platinum blonde and always kept in a ponytail, except for tonight he decided to let it hang down around him. You tried taking a glance at him, afraid he’d catch you staring and make the atmosphere even more awkward than it already was.
Hyunjin was having a hard time. Figuratively and literally. He had no clue this movie would be like this!! He heard the rumors just like you had, but he figured that everyone was over exaggerating, wanting to seem cool for watching a “raunchy movie”, but no, they were all spot on. And to make matters worse, he was watching it with you. He had no idea why he decided this would be a good idea. Maybe get some laughs at how terrible the movie is, and then turn it off and order takeout or something? He’s really not sure. But now all he’s thinking about is the fact that there is porn playing on your tv, and your shifting back and forth has not gone unnoticed by him.
Would it really be bad if he…initiated something? It was getting hard to control himself, he could feel his resolve slipping. He knows the movie is doing something to you too, it’s too obvious. Maybe acknowledging it will make the situation less awkward.
Well, you never know till you find out.
Hyunjin can feel his heart beating fast in his chest as he takes a side glance at you. Your eyes are still glued to the screen, most likely due to embarrassment, but partially out of lust. He can see your pupils get larger slightly as you watch the scenes unfolding on tv. You shift your weight once more, and Hyunjin takes a deep breath as he turns to actually face you.
You feel Hyunjin look at you, and you immediately feel embarrassed when you meet his eyes.
Hyunjin almost backs out, but opts to look back at the tv because he cannot make eye contact with you right now. “Well, this movie is…something..” he says quietly, and your face heats up. “Yeah…sure is,” you trail off quietly, unsure what to say. How could he be having a conversation with you right now?
“Look…now just hear me out,” He starts. Those words got you into this predicament, you can only imagine where they’ll take you now. You can still hear the characters moaning on the screen, and you try to block them out and pay attention to Hyunjin.
“We’re both sitting here incredibly turned on, am I wrong?” He starts. You go wide eyed, and the blush already on your cheeks darkens as you realize you weren’t being as discreet as you thought you were. “All I’m saying is, why don’t we…help each other out? I guess?” He says quickly, trying to make it sound like a stupid suggestion. You could clearly see his hard on through his sweat pants, and you thought about it.
“Have you heard of mutual masturbation?” you ask him. Hyunjin almost chokes at hearing those words even leave your mouth. He thought you were going to yell at him, push him out of your apartment and never want to speak to him again. You surprised yourself by being so forward, but it’s Hyunjin. It wouldn’t hurt.
“I..yeah, I have. Do..do you want to?” He asks, finally looking you in the eyes. Your gaze meets his, and the lust is evident in his eyes as he tries to discreetly check you out. This would change your friendship in a way that you would’ve never expected it to, but you don’t feel worried at all.
“You’re not gonna be weird about it afterwards, right? I mean, it’s not a big deal right?” You ask, and he shakes his head. “No! Not a big deal at all, as long as you’re not going to be w- oh, okay” he says, cutting himself off because you’ve now angled yourself in the corner of the couch to face him, your hands already ghosting the edge of your sleep shorts. You giggle as Hyunjin moves to do the same, and the sound is music to his ears.
Hyunjin sweeps his eyes over your form, and feels something spark in him. You look so small all the way over there, the giant tshirt you had on was not doing anything to help the sight. Hyunjin was starting to have ideas, and he decides that he wants to test the waters.
Before he can even get to it though, you let out a little sigh as your fingers tease yourself over your underwear. “H-hyunjin.. Can you like, say something? Maybe?” You ask timidly. You can see the mood shift in his eyes as he smirks.
“Oh, you want me to talk dirty to you, huh?” He chuckles, and with the way your chest hitches, he knows he’s headed in the right direction. You blush and nod your head, embarrassed to say anything else.
Hyunjin is palming himself over his sweatpants, trying to keep pace with you. He watches as you relax into your own touch, and decides that he doesn’t want to hold back anymore.
Sliding his hands into his boxers, he sighs in relief at finally feeling something. “Do you feel good baby? Talk to me,” he tells you, and for some reason the new pet name sets you on fire. Following his lead you finally move your fingers past your panties, dragging circles along your clit and letting a soft moan slip past your lips. “Yes, God, so good” you moan. You look up at him and the feeling is magnified.
His sweatpants have fallen a little low on his hips, and the sight of his hips and the muscles under his tshirt has you wanting to see more. Hyunjin notices you eyeing him, and decides to take his shirt off, throwing it on the floor next to the couch. He’s absolutely gorgeous, muscles flexing as he works himself up.
“Now don’t let me be the only one getting naked baby, let me really see you,” he says, and the tone is just between demanding and almost condescending. This new side to Hyunjin instantly makes you want to give in, and you’d do whatever he asked you to as long as you got to look at him like this.
You watch his eyes go wide when you take your shirt off, and you had almost forgotten that you weren’t even in your bra. Chest completely bare in front of him, he doesn’t take his eyes off you for a second as he slides his sweatpants down farther. You now have a perfect view of his cock, long and hard in his hand. This was one of the most beautiful sights you had ever seen.
“Jesus fuck-” Hyunjin groans, his hand moving faster on his cock. You match his movements, getting yourself worked up. At this point you take your shorts off as well, the two of you completely naked, on opposite sides of the couch.
“You can take a few fingers for me, right doll? Show me what you do when no one’s around,” He says, fucking up into his hand. You bring your hand up to your mouth and slide your fingers in, putting on a show for him. His eyes never leave your face, and you’re glad he’s as affected by this as you are.
You insert one finger into your core and your back arches, finally getting a taste of what you’ve been wanting so badly. Its nowhere near enough, you decide, and insert another finger. Hyunjin thinks that you look so, so pretty like this. He could sit for hours and just watch you, wouldn’t even need to touch you and he would be okay.
Getting lost in your own pleasure, you let your thoughts travel to the boy on the couch across from you. You still couldn’t believe this was happening. All of the times you’ve ever gotten off to the thought of your best friend flash behind your eyelids, and it only brings you closer to the edge.
Hyunjin is almost there, too, and wants to make sure you cum before him, or at least at the same time as him. “F-fuck Y/N I’m so close. You can go a little faster for me, right baby? Make yourself feel good for me,” he says, and the request has you keening. “H-Hyunjin,” you moan out, letting the feeling completely take over as your reach down to rub circles on your clit, your orgasm approaching quickly.
“Just like that baby, maybe next time I’ll let you cum on my fingers instead,” he says, voice getting breathy as he approaches his high. “Oh God, Hyunjin please,” you beg, even though you’re not sure what you’re begging for at this point.
It doesn’t take too much longer until the coil that was wound suddenly bursts, your orgasm taking over your senses. You lift your back off of the couch, whimpers coming from your mouth as you ride out your own orgasm. Watching you cum sets Hyunjin off, and he quickens his pace. Ribbons of white paint his  stomach and his hands, and the sounds that leave his lips, deep and gravely are almost enough to set you off again.
The two of you sit there, basking in the afterglow of your orgasms, the movie completely forgotten. The credits were rolling in the background now, and Hyunjin has completely forgotten about the dare he was supposed to be doing right now. You look over at Hyunjin, his skin glowing and just looking absolutely ethereal. Hyunjin is thinking the same, taking in the way your hair has gotten messed up from running your hands through it, and the slight sheen of sweat on your forehead.
It’s quiet for a moment, and you make your way closer to Hyunjin. His eyes widen as you get closer. Opting to lean in close to him, you whisper in his ear.
“So.. are you gonna let me cum on your fingers now?” you tease.
And he does. And on his tongue, too. Y’know, for good measure.

Jetlagged buglar - Corpse x reader
Thank you so much @stylistiquements for letting me know about your prompt list. Finally, I am posting my spin on one of your lovely prompts. I really appreciate your patience and support <3
Pronounce: gender neutral
Warnings: none (mention of burglar)
Genre: fluff; platonic
Word count: 1996
Prompt: "I know it's 4 in the morning but ..."
~ A buglar broke into Corpse’s apartment, or at least that’s what he thinks.~
Corpse watches as his beloved green astronaut friend dramatically fell into the pool of lava. He had been, and still is, so sure Sykkuno is not one of the imposters of this round. The boy had also pleaded for his life, claiming his innocence, but to no avail. He had been found standing on top of Emma’s body by Jack. There had been no escape.
The new round began and forced him into action. The last thing he had wanted was to frame Sykkuno for his kill. It did buy him an alibi from Emma, who had met up with him in decontamination. She had not been experienced enough to realise Corpse had come from the direction of the kill to suspect him a little bit. She had quickly covered his ass and now he was free to begin his actual killing spree.
He decided that Emma should be kept alive as she seemed to be trusting him this round. His second kill was Brooke. She had been standing at the tree and it was all too easy to close the doors and hop into the vent. He met up with Emma afterwards again before splitting off to chase Tina into storage for another kill. Just as her little character fell to the floor, another body was reported. Not one he has made.
He listened to Dave describing where he had found the body when loud clattering of metal pulled him out of his concentration. He had heard rumour during this stream before. Soft sounds had distracted him momentarily now and then, making him question whether his neighbours were at it again. They could get pretty loud during arguments or resolving them. This clattering could not have been from his neighbours. It was too loud and not at all a sound he had heard from the other side of the wall before.
His attention was pulled back when someone questioned his location.
“Guys, I think someone is in my apartment.” He cautiously announced. Not wanting to be too loud in case the intruder could hear him.
“Sure! Where were you Corpse?” Rae interrogated him. Her voice strict and accusing. He quickly defended himself. He had not heard anything else, so maybe it did come from the neighbours. His defence, although slightly flawed, was accepted and Leslie was thrown out. The reason unknown to him as he had not listened to their conversation.
One more kill and the game would be won. He did not hesitate to call reactor to avoid one of the crewmates pressing the button. As he walked up to the left reactor, the victory screen played. A choired of no’s filled his ears, while Jack celebrated his win with Corpse. Normally he would join the celebration. This time another loud noise came from his living space.
“Guys. Guys. GUYS.” He whisper-yelled to get everyone’s attention. When only the among us theme came from his headphones he continued. “There is someone in my apartment. If I don’t return in ten minutes presume I am dead.” Without waiting for an answer, Corpse muted himself and took of his headphones. Grabbing a knife just to be sure in case there was indeed an intruder, he quietly stood up from his chair.
He had closed his door as usual. Hopefully, the intruder had not heard him speak. He had not been loud today due to his throat being slightly sore from being on other people’s streams lately. It might have helped him going undetected. Still, he was not fully sure whether or not there was an actual thief in his apartment. In the time he has speculated them being here and Corpse finally getting on the move the unknown presence had not moved from the main space. He was sure it would not take a thief that long to go through all his cabinets and other storage.
Slowly he opened the door to take a peek towards the origin of the loud noises. He could feel his heartbeat. The palm holding the doorknob clam. The lights were on, but he did not remember whether he himself forgot to turn them off or someone else had turned them on.
A thief would not turn the light on if they were on. Or this would have to be a very low experienced burglar.
Hearing no new sounds, he decided it was safe to investigate a little further. Corpse made sure to keep his eyes on the parts of his living room he could see, slowly making his way through the short hallway. When he finally arrived in the largest room, he did not spot anyone. No closets were opened nor was his stuff spread out on the floor. He let out a loud sigh. The loud noise had come from the neighbours after all.
Suddenly a head appeared above the counter, which provoked a loud scream to come out him. His heartbeat sped up again as he held his knife in front of him. He immediately lowered it when he realised who it was that stood in the middle of his kitchen.
The person in question seemed frozen. Eyes wide and arms filled with the snacks that previously housed the cabinets. None of them said anything, just staring at the other. Slowly they unloaded their arms on the counter.
"Look-," they were cut off by Corpse's hysterical laugh. After the initial shock of someone actually being in his house, laughing was all he could do to release the tension that had built inside him. The person behind the counter blinked dumbfounded before starting to whine.
"Corpse! Stop it's not funny!" Corpse on the other hand found the situation hilarious. The state he had found one of his best friends, (y/n), in was not one he would forget soon. It was not often you could find them in a total state of shock. The realisation that they had been busted red handed was imprinted on his retina.
"I thought you were a burglar!" Not that they were not. Except there is still a large difference between stealing a tv from a stranger or candy from your best friend. It was not unusual for Corpse to find (y/n) in his apartment holding a package of food. Sometimes, even his secret stash was raided. He had long topped from finding other placed to hide his special treats. It had always been to no avail.
The fact that he had not thought about the possibility of (y/n) being the one that broke into his home was due their vacation. Corpse had believed they would not be back in the States until later this week. If he had known they would be back already, he would not have assumed some burglar had though he could get anything valuable from this building.
"What? Why- okay. I know it's 4 in the morning, but I am extremely jetlagged, and I saw you go live so I knew you would be awake!” Corpse’s laughing subdued during the hastily explanation of the situation, leaving (y/n) to fiddle with one of the packed goods.
"I am pretty sure those are all the snack I own.” Corpse pointed to the snacks that now littered his counter. It was not much. A bag of potato chips, some candy bars, a pack of nuts he never ate one the plane and a pack of sour patches. (y/n) simply squinted their eyes at him, making him return the favour.
“They are mine now.” They slowly scooped the snacks off the counter into their arms again. He bursts out in laughter again, almost teared up from the look on their face. Snacks pushed flush to their chest, eyes that were squinted so far by now they had almost closed. Their nose and lips crunched. “Mine.” Was the last they said before making their way towards Corpse’s streaming room.
He had almost forgotten he was live due to the initial shock of someone being in this home. Quickly catching up with (y/n) he glided into his chair. The lobby screen was still on display and his chat flew by. All he could make out that he still had a few minutes before his agreed 10. He quickly unmuted to reassure his friend and chat that he was not harmed in anyway.
“I swear on my life Rae that I am fi-,” He failed to finish the sentence due to (y/n)’s facial expression. Dumb was the best way to describe it. They sat in a comfy chair next to him with their legs pulled up and their eyes were fixed on the screen, looking at some of the characters running circles around his. Their lips in a straight line, somehow still smiling.
Hiss laughter had caught their attention away. In response they grabbed one of his pillows of his bed that was just into reach.
"Stop. making. fun. of me!" Hitting Corpse rhythmically with their words. He tried to shield himself with his arms. Seeing as he could not stop his fit of laughter and his stomach started to hurt slightly, he was dubious whether to protect his head to hold is stomach.
The new voice that arose was recognized by two other people that have met up with Corpse in real life before, Dave and Emma.
"Is that (y/n)?" Dave’s English accent came out strong through Corpse’s headphones. He waved at (y/n) to stop hitting him for a second to catch his breath and answer the question he was asked. Dave, knowing more than enough to know the dynamic of these two, waited patiently on his answer. Rae on the other hand became hearable impatient by the long silence from Corpse’s side.
“Corpse. Answer the question!”
He slowly in and out haled to calm himself. A long loud sigh leaving his lips, before he answered the question. "Yes, yes, that's (y/n). Although I was right about the burglar as well. They are trying to raid my kitchen.”
(y/n) immediately sprang into action to react on that statement. Not wanting to be put in a bad light all by themselves. No, they would always happily share that special spot with a good friend. "Correct, TRYING. You literally do not have any food!"
"You dumped your arms full of MY snacks on MY table. Where I need space to actually play this game.” Corpse retorted.
“I think we established they are MY snacks now. Besides this is all you have. And it is not even touching your keyboard!” That statement was true. (y/n) had made sure to place the snack so that they did not hinder Corpse in their movements during his stream. A second reason for the snack to be not in close reach for Corpse was not named.
“I paid for those snacks.” It was a weak response. Corpse knew. But he rather let the bickering end sooner than later. His fans had been waiting anxiously for him to return and did not come to watch only to hear them bickering. However, looking at his chat they did not seem to mind at all. Still, there were more streamers live which audience might have a different opinion on that matter.
“Well, you did not pay for either Emma or me and we are definitely better snacks than I could ever find here.” They pointed to their friend’s little yellow character.  “So, I think I will take these as payment thank you very much.”
Corpse burst out laughing again a few seconds after, clutching his stomach that could barely take any more damage. (y/n) very well knew that whatever they had said was not funny at all. Or at least not this funny.
"What are they saying? Unplug your headphones!” (y/n) demanded while scooting the chair closer to the monitor.
After unplugging his headphones, Corpse asked Emma to repeat herself to share the comment with their mutual friend. He quickly pressed a button to increase the volume when she spoke up.
“We’re only worth five snacks??”

Request: “maybe some hyunjin + mutual masturbation? bonus points if they’re ‘just friends’”
Characters: Hyunjin x female reader
Word Count: 2.4k
Type: Smut
Warnings: Mutual masturbation, dirty talk, slight dom themes
This is intended for mature audiences. Do not read if you are under the age of 18.
Yeah, you had heard the rumors about the infamous Boat Scene, where the main character finally gives in to her male kidnapper and they spend what seems like the entire day absolutely railing each other, but you didn’t think it would be this...graphic.
Would it really be bad if he...initiated something?
“Well, this movie is...something..” he says quietly, and your face heats up. “Yeah...sure is,” you trail off quietly, unsure what to say. How could he be having a conversation with you right now?
“Look...now just hear me out,” He starts.
“All I’m saying is, why don’t we...help each other out?

@leoniejulie asked: 8 and VDS? 🥺🥺
7. “I’m not jealous.”
8. “You’re jealous, aren’t you?”
Jens doesn’t expect to get along so well with Kes.
It’s not like he doesn’t know anything about him going in—Lucas has chattered about the boy enough that Jens feels like he already knows him. He’s also been teased plenty of times by the same boy for being so similar to this mysterious friend. Lucas will laugh at him at the most random of moments only to shake his head and explain whatever Jens had done had reminded him so fully of Kes that it was funny.
This just meant Lucas spent a lot of his time with Jens talking about—and therefore probably even more time thinking about—his best friend from back home. Which meant that, most likely, Kes was still Lucas’s overall best friend, and his overall favourite, above Jens.
Which was completely fine. Sensible. Lucas had known Kes his whole life, after all, and had only known Jens since he moved to Antwerp a few months ago. There was no reason for him to favour Jens, and of course he missed Kes and Jens should be happy Lucas felt comfortable enough with him to be so open about all these aspects of his life. It’s fine, and good, and it should not bother Jens at all.
But it does. It bothers him a lot. He spends months harboring this inexplicable resentment for this Kes, resisting the urge to roll his eyes or cry any time Lucas says his name.
Then they actually meet.
It’s Lucas’s idea to take Jens home with him for the weekend, and Jens is so ecstatic over this that he doesn’t think about anything else. He’s practically floating with all the butterflies in his stomach and the quick flutter of his heart and he can’t wipe the smile off his face, even when they finally head out to meet Lucas’s friends and Kes is holding his hand out for Jens to shake.
Jens is a little more dubious as he does so. He can feel Kes sizing him up, which doesn’t help, and he feels jittery for a new reason as tension fills his shoulders. He eyes Kes in return, ignoring the other boy’s—Jayden, he reminds himself—exuberant energy as he pratters on about everything they have to do and how much they’ve missed Lucas. Even though Lucas had been back only two weeks before.
“Nice to meet you,” Kes finally says, releasing his slightly-too-tight grip on Jens’s hand. He gives a sideways glance to Lucas before turning back with a slight smile. “I’ve heard a lot about you.”
Jens does his best to mimic the expression, but he thinks his might be more of a grimace. “Likewise.”
“You’ve brought your board, right?” Jayden asks him. He claps when Jens nods. “Great, then let’s fucking go. I’m excited to watch Lucas have double the amount of people to impress. It’s going to be doubly funny when he wipes out.”
“Fuck you,” Lucas says.
Kes holds a hand up between them all, shaking his head. His eyes haven’t left Jens. “No, no. It’s this one that needs to impress us.”
Jens knows a challenge when he hears one. His smile-grimace widens as he tilts his head. “What are we waiting for, then?”
He expects to be judged critically, and he is, but he isn’t expecting to be accepted so easily afterwards. It’s ridiculous, how quickly the atmosphere and dynamic changes once Kes has clasped his hand and beamed at him. There’s a hint of pride in Lucas’s expression, as well, that might help lift Jens’s mood. He’s smiling as he watches Kes break into sudden conversation with Jens, the test apparently passed as Kes asks Jens all the random first-meeting questions he can think of. There is, of course, some teasing of Lucas thrown in for good measure.
All of his hard feelings are suddenly forgotten, as he grudgingly admits that Kes is probably worth all the fuss. He understands why Lucas likes him, and Kes is so unbearably fond of Lucas that Jens has to soften a little. They are, also, surprisingly similar in a number of ways. Once the barrier is broken, they’re stuck to each other, whispering and giggling like schoolboys as they trade stories about Lucas and try to one-up each other with kicks and tricks.
It’s when Jens is laughing so hard he has to lean on Kes for support that he first notices Lucas’s sullen look.
Then he remembers his resentment and the reason for it, a little.
Kes and Jayden accompany them back to Lucas’s house, where his mother has vacated, slipping out to meet someone before returning to have dinner with her son and his ‘handsome new friend’. Jens finds himself navigating back to Lucas, feeling odd in the personal space that the other boys occupy so easily. Lucas still seems quiet. He hasn’t spoken much to Jens in the past hour or so, but he doesn’t seem to mind that Jens has planted himself at his side again, so Jens clings onto the proximity now and resolves to figure out the problem when they’re alone.
The opportunity arises when Kes and Jayden are in the middle of a video game and Lucas quietly mumbles that he’s going to get a drink. Jens watches him go, then glances back at the screen for a moment before getting up to follow.
He finds Lucas at the counter in the kitchen, stood silently with a finger running around the rim of his half-filled glass. He glances up as Jens comes in, straightening up and looking away entirely again as Jens leans next to him, side by side but facing opposite directions.
Jens crosses his arms over his chest and tries to figure out how to go about this. “Your friends are nice,” he says. “I like them more than I expected. Not that I thought I wouldn’t, but, you know what I mean.”
Lucas hums, staring down at the sink. He takes a sip of his water before mumbling, “Yeah, I’ve noticed.”
Jens cocks his head, pursing his lips. It’s a more sullen response than he prepared for. He assumed Lucas would brush him off, but this feels like an opening. He should just get to the point. “You’re jealous, aren’t you?”
Lucas whips his gaze up to look at him, then quickly away again. A flush creeps up his neck and spreads through his cheeks. “No.”
“Convincing,” Jens snorts.
“I’m not jealous,” Lucas says adamantly. “What would I be jealous of?”
Jens shrugs. This time he’s the one to look away, staring down at his socked feet as he rubs them against the tiles. “I was probably stealing your time with Kes. I know you’re always excited to see him, and you didn’t think I’d be in the way so much. I’m sorry.”
The room is utterly silent.
It must be a full minute before Lucas says, incredulous, “What?”
Jens feels his own face heat up, and he doesn’t bother with an answer. He’s said sorry. Lucas can choose whether to accept it or not, and he has a free opening now if he wants to tell Jens to fuck off back home.
He doesn’t really think Lucas would do that, but well, he knows how much the boy likes Kes. He’s been pretty sure for a while that Lucas likes him, in fact.
Lucas feet enter his sight as well as the boy comes to stand in front of him. “Jens, seriously. What the fuck are you talking about?”
“Kes,” Jens sighs, exasperated, finally looking up at him. He falters for a moment, because he hadn’t expected Lucas to be so close, but him and his eyes and his lips are all just right there. It makes Jens feel even sillier, but he steels himself. “I know you’d rather spend more time with him and I’m sorry, okay?”
Lucas stares at him. Jens can’t decipher his expression at all. “Hang on. You think I’m pissed, because you’re stealing Kes?” He almost sounds amused.
Jens furrows his brow. “Yeah?” It’s the only thing that makes sense. Jens knows he would have been moping, if he’d come just to hang around and watch Lucas give Kes all his attention for the weekend. Lucas wants to be with Kes—to spend time with him, or more, Jens really doesn’t want to know—so of course he’s upset that he’s not getting as much time—
A laugh bubbles out of Lucas. “Uhm, Jens. It’s the other way around.”
Jens blinks. The words don’t immediately compute at all, but then once they reach his brain and he takes them apart, it doesn’t make sense. The other way around would be Kes stealing Jens, and if Lucas is upset because of that, then it would mean that Jens is the one...
“Wait,” he breathes. “Seriously?”
“Oh my god,” Lucas laughs.
“Lucas, seriously?”
“Jesus, you’re so stupid. Have you been jealous this whole time? Oh my god.”
“Stop,” Jens whines, but there’s a smile growing on his lips that he couldn’t dream of stopping. “That’s a lie. I’m not jealous. I have never been jealous, ever, in my life.”
Lucas is definitely very amused. “Well, that’s definitely a lie.”
Jens lets his smile settle in a wide grin. He doesn’t even care about arguing because, for one, Lucas is right, and because he’s too bewildered but happy at the moment to form words.
“I brought you this weekend hoping I could tell you, dumbass. Or at least have you mostly to myself,” Lucas admits. “But then, I actually wasn’t expecting...”
Jens rocks away from the counter into his space, ecstatic. “You thought they were stealing me away.” Lucas rolls his eyes, but he can’t hold Jens’s gaze, so Jens know he’s right. “Okay, well that’s easy now. You don’t have to worry. I’m all yours, Luc.”
Lucas looks up at him hesitantly, appearing to be fighting a smile of his own. “Yeah?”
Jens nods. “And I was very excited about it, too. Sneaky, you know, planning to get my into your room right off the bat and everything.”
“Oh, shut up,” Lucas scoffs, shoving his shoulder.
Jens laughs, and bounces right back, leaning even closer to Lucas now. It’s okay, when he can actually admire the boy’s face; when Lucas is the one glancing down at his lips and Jens can hear his breath hitch. Jens is floating all over again, and he’s pretty sure why, this time. “Can I kiss you?” he asks anyway, voice at a murmur.
Lucas answers by leaning in and pressing their lips together, lightly, but surely, hand immediately lifting to settle on Jens’s shoulder. Jens fits his hands over Lucas’s hips and kisses back, trying to muffle his smile enough that it doesn’t hinder their movements. It doesn’t help that Lucas is having the same problem. After the first few touches, though, their mouths get with the program and settle into an easy rhythm.
It’s complete and utter bliss.
It only lasts all of about thirty seconds.
“Hey, Luc—”
Kes cuts himself off as the boys quickly part and look at where he’s stood in the doorway. He’s staring at them with pursed lips, repressing a smile, only halfway into the room with his hand on the frame.
Jens curls his hands in the hem of Lucas’s shirt, feeling suddenly nervous, but Kes settles his attention on Lucas.
“If you just wanted us to piss off so you could make out with your boyfriend, you could’ve just said something instead of giving me all the death glares.”
He raises his brows, and Lucas flushes right up to the tips of his ears, and Jens decides he probably really does like Kes after all.
Still, Lucas tells him, “Piss off so I can make out with my boyfriend, then.”
Kes doesn’t argue, only tapping the doorframe before he disappears again with a grin, so Jens isn’t going to argue, either.
Lucas rolls his eyes at his smug look, but he does follow through and kisses him again.

Strictly Professional Feelings
Ch 3: A Comprehensive Guide to (Not) Surviving Staff Meetings
It didn’t take Hank any more than a week to settle in to his new job. Desk jobs didn’t change much even if the technology had. His office was more comfortable now, he had decorated the room space with a couple of plants and he had pictures of Cole and Sumo on his desk. He had brought in a chair that was kind to his old injuries, and just like he had at the precinct he operated under an open-door policy. Working at AME was definitely an experience. Other than working for someone considerably younger than the average CEO, the whole place seemed to have a relaxed atmosphere. The business office at the very least didn’t seem to have a dress code. It almost reminded him of a college campus. The policy seemed to be that as long as the work got done how it was done didn’t really seem to matter. The bullpen was loosely divided into departments, but even then it wasn’t strict and Hank certainly couldn’t tell when one ended and another began. Every one seemed to work well together which made things easier. His department had a problem child of course, but that came with the territory. His went by the name of Gavin Reed. He was a good worker, but something always seemed to be going wrong when it came to him.
If he wasn’t accidentally breaking another computer, he was getting a visit from the CFO. Gavin dealt with most of the numbers for the business office so seeing Richard wasn’t too much a surprise, but Gavin always looked annoyed afterwards. Hank had offered to help, but Gavin made it clear he could handle it so he backed off. If he wanted to deal with it on his own that was fine. Things went smoothly after that. Hank kept to himself for the most part and helped when it was needed. He had an easy routine that of course involved avoiding Connor at all costs. A routine that was decidedly shattered about a month in. He was aware that there were monthly staff meetings; in the same sense that someone would be aware of a storm building on a distant horizon. It wasn’t an issue. yet. Not until Monday when he was staring down the email reminder for the meeting that Friday. Objectively speaking, it wasn’t that big of a deal; but he tended to lose brain function around Connor and he wasn’t exactly to make a fool of himself in front of his colleagues. So he settled into his desk and got to work with his fingers crossed that something would come up before Friday.
Nothing came up, Hank wasn’t that lucky. So Friday afternoon he made sure he had everything he needed before he headed up. The conference room was the same as any other he had seen.  There was a long wood table down the middle of the room with office chairs on either side, glass walls, a projector; all the usual fanfare. Much to his surprise he was the third person there, and Connor wasn’t among the small group. Josh and Silas were seated close to the door. Hank walked by them with a wave and took a seat a little farther from the door. He sat back and leaned his cane against the table where it would be out of the way. Richard came in about ten minutes later with a blonde Hank’s hadn’t met in toe. They took seats on the far side of the table closest to the projector on one side. Markus came in next and took the seat  on the other side of the projector. Connor was the last one to show up. He came in just before the meeting was set to start. He had a box in his arms that looked to be completely filled with papers. His first staff meeting, and it was shaping up to be a long one. Connor set the box on the table then rolled his shirt sleeves to his elbows and leaned on the table. Hank made a point of staring at the blank projector screen. This was definitely going to be a long meeting.
“Alright.” Connor said as he moved to close the door to the conference room, “Let’s get this started.” He settled back at the head of the table and tapped the box, “These are damage reports that were printed and left outside of my office out of spite.” Hank watched Silas wither a little and grew curious. This had obviously begun well before Hank got hired. Whatever it was couldn’t have been too serious because Richard and Markus were both sharing a look of mild amusement. “I just wanted you to have an idea of how many things my department has had to repair.” Silas replied, in a tone that wasn’t quite casual, “It’s close to the end of the fiscal year and I don’t want to be put on the hook for expenses that aren’t mine. Again.” “They are your responsibility though.” Connor raised a hand when Silas tried to cut in, “I’m aware that most of these aren’t your fault. Between questionable downloading practices and coffee related... mishaps; but your department is in charge of fixing them. I’ve talked to Gavin already, so next year should be easier on you.” He picked up the box and walked to set it on the table beside Silas, “Save a forest next time and send an email.
“There goes the R and D budget.” Silas muttered dryly. “With that done, let’s get on to department reports. Who wants to got first?” It was officially time for the boring stuff to begin. Hank did his best to pay attention after he gave his own report, but he could only listen to figures and statistics for so long before boredom set in. He wasn’t the only one that wasn’t giving this his whole attention. Everyone else also looked like they were only half listening to Richard. Hank would give it to him though, he was definitely thorough. Before the meeting ended Richard spoke up again, “I’ve been running numbers; we could set up a yearly repair budget for each department.” he explained, “IT will cover up to a certain amount each year, not including department wide replacements, and after that it’s up to the department the computer came from.” It was an attempt at keeping the peace. Every conversation Hank had been paying attention to would come back to this eventually. Silas looked to actively consider it. Which was the most ground covered on this the entire course of the meeting. “Sure.” He agreed, “How soon can you have it confidently laid out.”
Richard looked down to the small stack of papers Hank had originally believed to be notes, “The end of next year, assuming things go well.” Silas gave a slow nod, “Does that sound alright to you Connor?” “As long as I don’t wind up with another box full of paper right outside my office door you two can resolve this however you like.” He replied, “Just send it to me once it’s done so I can implement it properly.” With that the meeting finally seemed to be finished and they began to pack up. Hank took his time because he was still trying to process the odd mix of sibling rivalry and business jargon he had spent the last two and a half hours listening to. When he finished he noticed that Connor seemed to be waiting for him. “Do you have a minute to talk Hank?” He asked, “I just want to check in.” “Uh, yeah.” He replied as he made his way to the door, “I’ve adjusted alright. This place is a lot more calm than my old precinct.” Connor laughed, “I would hope so. So nothing is giving you any trouble then?” He walked with Hank toward the elevators, “The first month can be a bit rough.”
Hank shook his head, “Other than Gavin’s shit luck with computers everything has been fine.” “Oh, good then. I’m glad you’re doing well.” He replied as Hank hit the call button, “Hopefully the computer issue will be resolved with this.” “Hopefully.” He agreed. Connor nodded and stepped away as the elevator doors opened, “Alright, see you at the next meeting then.”  “Yeah.” Hank said after a moment, “See you then I guess.” He stepped into the waiting elevator and let out a breath once the doors had closed. Hank honestly thought he would have out grown his awkward phase by now. The last time he’d had it this bad was with Ezra, and Cole was the only good thing to come out of that. Apparently he wasn’t too old to make the same mistake twice. At the very least he had another four weeks to figure out how he was going to survive the next staff meeting.

Hi could you write some sfw&nsfw head cannons for nana osaki x f!reader? 🥺💓💕 Thank u sm!!
Thanks for the request anon and yes I will :) I was waiting for someone to request headcanons for her ^_^ I hope these are to your liking!
Tumblr media
~~SFW~~
Approaching Nana is not an easy task since she comes off as aloof and intimidating yet beautiful to most people. But don’t worry! Nana is quite easy to talk to and whether you meet her on your own or through a mutual friend, she’ll accept you with semi-open arms.
Don’t get things twisted though. It takes a lot for Nana to open up to someone and she doesn’t talk about herself to people she doesn’t know. If you ask questions or get curious, she’ll only answer so much and she’ll tell you if she doesn’t wanna talk about whatever the subject is. In return, Nana won’t ask you anything personal about your own life or past unless you bring it up in conversation.
How Nana opens/warms up to you depends on when you meet her in life. If you meet her while she’s in Tokyo after her break-up with Ren, then you’ll have an easier time since she’s at a more stable time in her life and is trying to strike it big in the music industry. If you meet her after Ren’s death and her departure from Tokyo, getting close to her will be pretty difficult because of all the trauma and pain she’s gone through. Either way, you’ll have to prove yourself to Nana if you wanna get in her good graces.
Nana has never dated a woman before so if you wanna explore your attraction to her, you’ll have to make the first move. She’ll be flustered and sputter a bit but she’ll come around when you give her enough time. If you really wanna get Nana’s attention, be bold and unapologetic about it. She might complain and bitch at you but anyone can tell she’s not really mad. Go easy on the poor gal will ya?
Sadly being with Nana isn’t gonna be all sunshine and rainbows. Balancing her career and personal life is one of the biggest struggles she has to face daily and there will be times when she’ll choose BLAST over you. Nana will not abandon her career for the sake of your relationship but she doesn’t want to lose you either. If you have a career of your own, then that makes things much better but there will be some tension if you’re better at balancing things than she is.
Another flaw of being with Nana is how possessive and manipulative she is. Once you establish yourself as a constant in her life, Nana’s not letting go of you. She’s like a pit bull that’s locked onto you and she’ll bite anyone that tries to hurt you. Nana’s possessiveness isn’t as straightforward as Shin’s and you probably won’t even realize that she has this trait unless you’re very good at observing and reading between the lines. But Nana’s possessiveness is smothering and it can feel like you’re catering to her all the time like you’re some kind of pet. She also suffers from anxiety, often having panic attacks but she tries to keep it a secret from you so she doesn't worry you.
Once Nana gets used to you and being in a relationship with you, she’ll start taking charge and initiating things more often. She doesn’t want you doing all the work because she’ll feel guilty which is due to how independent she is.
If you’re the kind of gal who takes no bullshit and will call Nana out to nip things in the bud, prepare yourself for an argument that will most likely end in tears. It will most likely be similar to the fight Nana had with Shin in Episode 36. The best way to resolve things with Nana is to stick to your guns and not fall for her tactics. Be the bigger person and Nana will respect you more.
Nana’s toxic traits and independence stem from her abandonment issues caused by her mother and Ren. She doesn’t want to lose any more people in her life and she doesn’t wanna be hurt again. But Nana is fully aware of her bad traits and wants to change but doesn’t know how to. She’s so used to running away from her problems that she’s made an art form out of it. Nana facing her issues head on will take a firm hand as well as patience from you. Show her that she’s not alone as well as support her wholeheartedly and she’ll be by your side, purring like a kitten.
~~NSFW~~
1. Nana's only had one sexual partner (Ren) and she's never had sex with a woman before so when you two start to become intimate, you'll have to take the lead for a while since Nana has no idea what she's doing and she'll just be fumbling around which will lead to giggles between you two.
2. Nana's sex drive is pretty average and she's generally cautious too. But since she doesn't have to worry about pregnancy this time around, she'll definitely take more risks and can get pretty wild if she's pushed far enough. Nana prefers to have sex in the privacy of her own home and if you suggest having sex somewhere else, she'll get flustered and yell at you but she won't turn you down if you take a more physical approach. The only places Nana is willing to have sex with you is her dressing room, backstage after a concert, and in your car. You try to suggest anywhere else and you'll get shut down with a quickness.
3. Once Nana gets used to having sex with you, she's gonna start being more dominate and initiating sex more often. She prefers giving over receiving and she prefers to use her fingers and tongue over sex toys but she isn't opposed to using them either. Nana's fingering game is on point and if you like it rough and fast, she's perfect for you! Nana's tongue game is just as good if not better and she'll be between your legs for so long that they'll go numb!
4. As for sex toys, Nana's never used them before so you'll have to take her to a sex shop and show her the various things that can be used to spice up your sex life. Nana will be quite awkward and embarrassed since she's not one to discuss sex so openly so she needs to be eased into the experimentation. Patience is a virtue with her!
5. Nana will definitely have her own collection of vibrators, dildos, and strap-ons and yes they will be big. Size queen anyone? But she will definitely have plenty of lube as well to make you comfortable. Nana also loves spanking, handcuffs, blindfolding, and choking. Her main no-no is anal. She doesn't wanna give or receive that! The most she'll do is fingering but that's all you'll get in that category! As far as dirty talk is concerned, Nana doesn't like to be called degrading names nor does she like to use them. Don't even try the humiliation thing or Nana won't be fucking you for quite a while!
6. When receiving, Nana will be putty in your hands. She'll moan, beg, and gasp as her orgasms make her body shake and quiver. She'll be having spasgasms instead and she'll be singing in a whole different way! Nana obviously likes it rough and she loves to be manhandled so don't worry about hurting her when it comes to using the toys. You'll definitely be using hers instead of yours because she likes them big and don't hold back either! If things ever do get out of hand between you two, there's always a safeword and it's BLAST as one would expect.
7. The most rounds Nana will do with you is 2 but to make up for it, she'll make sure that they're as long as possible so you'll be fully sated and satisfied especially if your sex drive is higher than hers. If she's too tired to have sex with you, then you'll have to settle for masturbating. If Nana's not into it, it's not happening at all.
8. One of Nana's secret fantasies is sexting and having phone sex. But she's ashamed to admit it because of her status as a musician and because she's too worried about anything on her phone or yours getting leaked out to the public for everyone to see. If you decide to initiate things by sending her a dirty picture/text or calling her while masturbating, Nana will literally drop her phone in shock and have a shocked Pikachu face. Nana.exe has blue-screened! But she'll come around eventually so don't worry. However there are gonna be some ground rules to prevent anyone else from seeing/overhearing you two or leaking everything to the public. If that ever happened, Nana would be mortified!
9. Aftercare with Nana is the only time she'll be slow and sensual with you. It'll also be one of the few times she starts opening up to you, talking to you about things she normally wouldn't talk about with anyone else. Nana's way of giving aftercare is taking a luxurious shower with you and massaging your sore muscles while whispering sweet praises to you. Afterwards, she'll cuddle with you while having a smoke. If you smoke as well, then she'll share a cigarette with you which is very rare for her. Nana definitely lets you get away with things she wouldn't allow anyone else to do but that's only one of the many signs of how much she loves you and even though she acts like a tsundere about it, she'll do anything to keep you in her life and she'll always love you no matter what happens!

Tangled Salt Marathon - Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf
Tumblr media
Ok, so I’ve tried and tried several times to get this posted, we’ll see if this is the time it goes through. Half the reason why this review series has slowed down is not just the multitude of real life stuff I have to deal with, but also Tumblr just refusing to work with me and deleting my posts. I also can’t save my work else where due to Tumblr messing up the formatting. It’s been a frustrating mess and so far no one @staff has come up with a tech solution or work around.
Summary: Rapunzel helps to rebuild Old Corona, (after its near destruction from the Black Rocks) which will become the permanent home of Red and Angry, who have returned to Corona to settle down. However, she begins to notice strange footprints around the area, as well as the livestock becoming more unruly and fearful. The group comes across a monster hunter named Creighton, who explains to the group that the area is being stalked by a werewolf, who possessed one of Corona's citizens. Aiming to save this person rather than kill them, Rapunzel sets out to find who it is.
When Was This Decided?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
No seriously, when was this decided? It’s a pretty big leap go from ‘the rocks makes various towns inhabitable’ to ‘let’s rebuild!’ What’s changed here? Cause the rocks haven’t been removed and Rapunzel failed in her mission to nullify their power. In fact the rocks were not only reawaken in the second season finale but shown to be under the power of someone who’s intentions were made unclear to the heroes.
So I ask again; who thought this was safe thing to do now? What provisions have been made to accommodate the rocks? They blocked the well, remember, and destroyed the fields; how are the people getting food and water?
And most importantly why wasn’t the audience informed beforehand? When you change up the status quo in a story you need to provide just cause to the viewers. I legit thought I had accidently skipped an episode when I first watched because this plot point was not set up properly.
Why Were They Ever Left Alone to Begin With?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In a story where neglect is a central theme and motivating factor for all the main characters, it is super tone deaf to have those same characters perpetuating neglect themselves. The decision to live on their own should not be left up to Angry and Red because they are children. Children are not mature enough to provide for themselves neither emotionally nor physically and when placed in situations where they have to do so it psychologically damages them. Which the series already showcased with Varian so why is this suddenly deemed ok?
This Completely Undermines the Past Two Seasons
Tumblr media
The entire conflict of the past two seasons was the rocks forcing people out of their homes. Eugene was made an orphan from them, Varian lost his entire support group because them, they drove out the Saporians from their encampment which prompted them to invade Corona, and Rapunzel and company spent an entire year on the road trying to find a way to stop them from spreading supposedly.
All of that has now been flushed down the drain with this decision. And its super insulting to watch because it’s the writers telling us that we’ve wasted our time caring about this plot for two years. You don’t resolve major conflicts off screen and without explanation; it’s lazy!
Also Where Is Varian and Quirin During All This?
Tumblr media
This is not only their home and legal charge, but it’s also the ending to their ongoing story, and they’re not even here in a silent cameo.
Wouldn’t Quirin be overseeing the rebuilding of his town? Wouldn’t Varian be using his skills to find workable engineering solutions for them, fulling his season one goal of saving his home and making his village better with his inventions? Also wouldn’t Edmund want to catch up with his brother and help out now that he’s here?
In fact not a single person who actually lives in Old Corona is to be found in these opening shots.
Oh, But We Do Get Earl
Tumblr media
Earl might be from Old Corona, or he might not be. We’ve literally never seen him before. The artists had to create a brand new character model for this character, the writers had to write new lines for him, and the casting director had to hire an actor and have him record these lines for only less than a minute of screen time, never to be seen again. Even though they legit had shepherd models already to go from season one that they could have used. It’s a waste of resources and a prime example of the mismanagement going on in this show.
It’s Too Late In the Series to Waste Time On a New One Off Villain
Tumblr media
Speaking of a waste, Creighton might have more story reasons to appear in this episode than Earl does but her inclusion is still a poor decision. The show already has an overabundance of villains, so many in fact that they shipped the bulk of them off in season two, and this is the final season; the season where we should be wrapping up plots and minor characters stories not kicking off new ones.
Taken on her own Creighton isn’t a bad character presa, she works for the episode, but when we could have gotten a resolution to Caine’s, Hector’s, or the Disciples’ story arcs instead it highlights how misused the series assets are.
All This Lore Will Be Forgotten In Just a Few Episodes Time
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We finally get like some magical rules and backstory only for future episodes to ignore it from here on afterwards. Red can turn into a werewolf whenever she pleases, night or day, with little explanation as for why.
Just Arrest Her Rapunzel
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You’re the acting queen. You have the power and the right to arrest or even merely detain someone who is threating your citizens and refuses to leave. In fact it’s kind of your job. You don't even have to throw her in a dungeon if you thought that too cruel. Just lock her up in a nice room somewhere in the castle until you’ve sorted out the mess yourself.
The series wants to treat Rapunzel as the underdog when she isn’t, and her failure to wield her power effectively doesn’t make her look ‘nice’ it just makes her look stupid and grossly incompetent. This is a conflict that didn’t need to have happened and Rapunzel let it happen.
Oh, So Now Y'all Riot
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You didn’t complain when the king orphaned children with his crack down on crime. You rolled over as he dolled out overly harsh punishments to poor people who committed minor offences. You gleefully went along with the royals as they  scapegoated a child for their mistakes, even as they endangered your homes.  And ya’ll sat on your asses while invaders pulled off a coup and enslaved you.
But this is what you get mad over? A rumor about a mythical creature existing that your princess has zero control over. Seriously?
Man, I hate the townspeople in this show.
Pointless Dream Sequence Is Pointless
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This scene tells the audience nothing new and just wastes screen time.
This Is the Wrong Lesson to Focus On Rapunzel
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We do not tell the 12 year old to unload their phycological issues onto their baby sister!
You’re telling me parents were involved in writing this show? What the hell!?
Tumblr media
Rapunzel you are the adult here. At 20 now you should be more adept to handle listening to the deep seated emotional traumas of a little girl than a fucking 10 year old! And if you’re not, or don’t want to, then it’s your job to find another adult who will.
That’s the core problem with this entire episode. It treats Red’s and Angry’s problems as some eternal issue that they need to work out and not as the inherent failure of the adults around them that it is.
It is neither Red’s nor Angry’s decision on weather or not they get live on their own. Nor is it their responsibility to be each other’s therapist. Yes, a change in living arrangements is always stressful and for children with abandonment issues it can be hard to readjust, but that’s when you need to step it up and deal with the problem; not shove it off onto the kids themselves!
Monty Is Useless
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Is this all Monty is good for? Being a red herring in ridiculously simple mysteries? Is this why we wasted a whole episode introducing him back in season one? Really?
Why Are We Still Treating Old Corona As Being Separate from Corona Itself?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Look, I get that it’s a joke, but it’s a joke that highlights how poorly thought out the worldbuilding is in the series. Is the Coronan government in charge of Old Corona or not? If so then you can just make those lease laws yourself as the acting regent Eugene. If not then Frederic shouldn’t have had any say in the matter of relocating Old Corona’s citizens nor putting a child outside of his jurisdiction under arrest.
But more importantly this is a just a repeat of that vague level of responsibility Rapunzel has for people who live off the island. She can’t order a whole village to be rebuilt while simultaneously claiming that she bares no accountability for Varian and Quirin’s problems in season one.
Replacing Guns with Crossbows Isn’t the Safe Option That the Censors Think It Is
Tumblr media
I find it kind of amusing that censors will ban showing a 17th century blunderbuss but allow it to be replaced by a weapon that is still mass produced today and can be bought in any Walmart across the country. Like I’m a major advocate for gun regulation in real life, but even I have to find this to be a bit silly. Crossbows aren’t some fantasy weapon. People still own and use them. But it would be seriously hard to get ahold of a working antique firearm.
Seriously This Is How the Girls Have Been Living and the Adults Haven’t Done Anything About It Until Now?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I feel like I’m beating a dead horse by now, but it’s so engrained into the episode I have to keep bringing it up. The show itself is visually telling us that Red and Angry can’t keep living this way, but it never wants to call Rapunzel and the other adults out for not rescuing them from this life sooner.
So All This Tells Me Is That Rapunzel Could Have Easily Checked Up On Varian In Painter’s Block, But Didn’t.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Remember they’re right next to Old Corona; meaning that Janus Point is also right next to Old Corona. Meaning that Rapunzel could easily have checked up on Varian right after Painter’s Block and choose not to. With each passing episode Rapunzel has less and less excuse for her behavior in season one.
Yeah Remember that Plot Point That Wound Up Being Entirely Irrelevant to the Story?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In jokes don’t cover your ass when you make poor writing choices. Quite the opposite in fact as all you’ve done is remind the audience of all the various dangling plot threads that you will fail to follow up on. The disciples plot goes no where and serves no purpose, and it should not have been introduced as this big important thing if you weren’t going to do anything with it.
Nice Idea, Poor Execution
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’ve heard fans of this episode tell me that they enjoy it because of this scene with Red. If you’re a naturally introverted person or neurodivergent and have trouble communicating at times then Red’s speech here can strike a cord. Which is cool; I’ll never deny someone’s feelings and if a piece of media speaks to you on a personal level for whatever reason that is great. What I’m here to discuss though is story structure and whether or not the story’s themes are presented well in context of what it’s set up.
The conflict here does not work from a pure structural standpoint because it’s a surface level deflection of the real issues. Red’s problem isn’t that she is being ignored, it's that she’s been abandoned. Now communication issues can arise from that abandonment and feeling heard can be step forward in working those issues out, but Red’s central trauma isn’t going to be magically fixed by people ‘listening’ to her, i.e. being granted whatever she wants, but by providing her with a real home and with a real guardian to look after her.
Because what Red wants on a surface level is harmful to her, and the reasons why she wants what she wants needs to be addressed more so than then sedating her angry outbursts in the moment. This is treating the symptoms not the cause.
So What Is or Isn’t Real About the Curse?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Once again, we finally get some actual lore and rules for magic and the writers are already throwing it away during the same episode they are introduced. I now have as little context for how the wolf curse works within the Tangled world as I did before the episode started.
This Is Sweet, But Once Again Context Brings It Down.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So just to reiterate, this a surface level resolution to the conflict of the episode that doesn’t actually address anything. It might feel like an appropriate ending but only if you ignore the fact that Red and Angry are orphans who’ve been abandoned but the adults.
Angry apologizing here to Red does not solve any of their problems, especially since Angry, as a child herself, is not responsible for her sister’s behavior, feelings, nor well being. That falls to the adults and they fail to address Red’s core issues and their own failings to her in their apologies as well. Not to mention that the very next scene undermines any optional progress that could have been made here.
Listening to Someone Does Not Mean Giving Them Whatever They Want
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This does not fix anything. Red and Angry are still left to live on their own without any real supervision. Giving them a big play house is not providing for them, it’s spoiling them. Would you let all the other orphans in the local orphanage roam free without an adult to take care of them? No!? Gee I wonder why? Could it be because letting a 12 and 10 year old raise themselves is a very stupid idea? One that will potentially damage them later in life assuming that they don't get themselves killed in the meantime.
Moreover this is yet another example of the series overall problem with not understanding that compromise and resolving conflicts does not mean rewarding the characters at the end with everything that they want without having them work for it. That’s not how life works and it’s not how good story telling works.
This Is Beyond Irresponsible
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
No! Bad Show! Bad!
You do not get to pretend that negligence is the same thing as compromise. Yes I know Eugene said to come to him when they have a problem, but as demonstrated by this very episode children do not always know when to ask for help nor can they always find it when needed, that is why parents exist!
Nor does the show get a free pass for turning it’s main characters into child abusers who neglected three minors multiple times now. Even when they themselves are victims of that same abuse!
How utterly blinkered do you have to be to not see the problem here?
It’s the Return of the Pointless Parallels
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Let me count the ways for how stupid this is.
Red and Angry’s conflict has no impact on the on going narrative. Even with them now being reoccurring characters they still manage to contribute nothing to the future storylines involving Cass.
Neither Rapunzel nor Cassandra learn anything from Red and Angry’s spat; Rapunzel because she refuses to acknowledge her own flaws and Cassandra’s not even here for any of it.
The sister’s dynamic between Raps and Cass is not well established and the writers mange to piss all over it by series end because of gay baiting and poor writing. Therefore relying on lazy parallels to other siblings in the show to bolster this connection falls flat.
Red and Angry’s argument has nothing in common with Rapunzel and Cass’s current fighting. One is about abandonment issues and the other is about shallow validation. Trying to tie these two themes together actually winds up undermining both conflicts.
Red and Angry are children. Rapunzel and Cassandra are not. That very much matters.
Red and Angry didn’t drag innocent people into their petty bitch fight and endanger them because they wanted to feel special.
This Makes Zero Sense
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don’t know; she looked pretty happy during Crossing the Line.
Tumblr media
She was also able to control the rocks just fine then, so what happened?
Not to mention soon after this Zhan Tiri is telling her she needs some sort of incantation to control the rocks, despite being able to already control the rocks....
It’s almost as if the writers are full of shit and don’t actually know what they’re doing.
So Are We Remembering the Burnt Hand or Not?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Does the hand matter or not? Is it ever a motivating factor in what Cassandra decides to do? Is her waning control over the rocks connected to her burnt hand; even though having a burnt hand is what allowed her grab the moonstone in the first place? Did the moonstone heal the hand? Does Raps singing the healing incantation later on heal it? Does Cass have a forever burnt hand?
Who the fuck knows!
Not the writers that’s for sure, cause it never comes up again.
Don’t introduce plot points and then not resolve them. That’s writing 101 guys.
Tumblr media
Wait if she needs the incantation to control the rocks and the angry thing is a lie, then how the heck is she controlling them just now? Make up your dang mind show!
I swear I lose brain cells whenever I have to rewatch the evil Cassandra plot. It is so dumb  you guys.... so, so dumb.
Conclusion
It’s not the worst thing ever but series has far better episodes on offer than this one. Even in a season as suck ass as season three.
So there’s praying that this review posts this time and if you enjoy my writing and would like to support me in my projects feel free to leave a tip on my Ko-Fi. Thank you.

Levi vs. Zeke & Why Isayama Focused on that Conflict Analysis
Wanted to talk about "The Promise" (aka Levi's vow to take down Zeke) because a) I see it critiqued a lot as a narrative choice for Levi post-time skip, b) I don't think it's well understood as a narrative choice or even what it means in canon by the fandom, and c) I haven't seen people analyze it and thought why not me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So why did Isayama have Levi focus so much on the promise, and by extension Zeke, post-time skip?
1. Levi and Zeke are set up as narrative foils
This is established super early and is pretty evident even before we know much of anything about Zeke. In his introduction in the "Captain Levi" side chapter, Levi's character basics are quickly established, and one of the very first things we learn about him is how much he values the lives of his comrades and wants to make their sacrifices/deaths meaningful, regardless of any personal connection he has or doesn't have with them. We also see Levi very concerned about the Trost citizens starving in the Uprising arc, which leads Dimo Reeves to say in a pretty on-the-nose dialogue that Levi is "awkward yet kind" and trying to save Trost even though he "doesn't really have to".
By contrast, something hammered home to us very quickly is that Zeke is relatively indifferent to lives lost in his quest to achieve his goal, the euthanasia plan. That isn't to say that he's completely devoid of empathy so much as he views the lives lost as inconsequential or necessary and doesn't dwell on them because he doesn't even really understand the value of life- "I saved them, the lives of those children from this cruel world" is what he says to Levi about turning his squad into titans. There's also moments like when Colt begs Zeke to hold off on screaming so that Falco could be spared, Zeke acknowledges that pain, understands it, and then screams anyway.
We get a panel post-time skip to quickly establish that contrast right away:
Tumblr media
This indifference is actually what drives a lot of conflict between Levi and Zeke- Levi makes it clear he doesn't trust Zeke partially because as he says to him, even if he is unsure if Zeke wants to help Paradis, he can tell that Zeke doesn't really care about Ragnako village (and keeps bringing it up because he can tell "[Zeke] doesn't have a speck of guilt... those people's lives meant nothing to [Zeke]"), that he doesn't respond to the idea that his grandparents may die, etc. Levi also responds violently to the idea that Zeke "saved" his squad by killing them. The euthanasia plan is something that is so opposed to Levi's values that these two were always going to be in conflict- it's almost like Zeke's goal is the exact opposite of what Levi fights for.
This is kind of important for the overall themes and story for a couple reasons like:
Zeke's character arc is partially developing an appreciation for life's purpose beyond procreating and the small moments of connection and joy that make up the human experience, as evident by his conversation with Armin and actions in 137; the contrast and callouts by Levi help establish early on this inability to appreciate the inherent value of life before we even know Zeke's end goal
Indifference towards loss of life as long as it fits your personal goals is kinda contrary to what the story wants to tell you via the Rumbling and protecting lives that have no value to you is treated as a narratively good thing
There's also the fact that both of them have parental/fraternal relationships with Eren. They're both protective of Eren and give him advice; Eren also in turn has sought their knowledge as they are more experienced than him in certain areas (Levi as the Survey Corps vet, Zeke as the one most knowledgeable about titan/Ackerman history), so it's a mentorship relationship, too. Eren also takes their advice and knowledge in ways that I'm pretty sure neither intended (like I doubt Levi was thrilled that him encouraging Eren to make his own decisions turned out this way...)
There's also a contrast there- Levi calls Eren a "monster" who won't let anyone stop him from doing what he wants to do early into their relationship (correctly identifying who Eren is at his core) whereas Zeke sees Eren as a victim that Zeke needs to save for a really long time (which is how Zeke ends up so easily manipulated by Eren despite being so intelligent).
2. Levi / Zeke parallel Mikasa / Eren
While the relationships are very different, Levi/Zeke and Mikasa/Eren actually do parallel each other- there's a kind of Ackerman vs. Yaeger contrast set up. Despite the different relationships, they both end very similarly: Mikasa and Levi behead Eren and Zeke respectively in something of a partially wanted mercy kill that is necessary to better the world (stop the Rumbling, end the titan curse). There are even more parallels there, like how both Ackermans experience a moment of understanding of the respective Yeager before killing them, how both of them had recently had a moment where they were thinking- for different reasons- that they couldn't kill the Yeager brother and then ended up doing so, etc., but the point is the moments appear back-to-back (137 and 138) and are treated as pretty narratively similar.
There's a lot of reasons we could speculate as to why Isayama did this- I don't think it's an Ackermans are amazing, Yeagers suck message for the record- one of them could be as simple as illustrating the similarities of the Ackermans vs. Yeagers by generation
Or it could even be because Mikasa as a character reflects Levi in many ways and her character arc is partially illustrated by her evolving opinion of Levi. She begins as someone with no appreciation for authority and prioritizing her own people/interests (usually Eren) over the greater good/mission, which is illustrated by her respect, or lack thereof, of Levi. She lashes out at him, ignores his orders and then gets saved by Levi in the Female Titan arc, then in Uprising she doesn't want to at first and can't help but be snarky about it but she shows how she's able to see a bigger picture and respect Levi's leadership by defending it to Jean, Connie, and Sasha and allowing Levi to gamble Eren to make his deal with Reeves, and by the time of the Rumbling, when Levi tells her they can't be concerned about Eren's safety, she doesn't lash out and while upset, doesn't even argue.
It's not really a surprise that Mikasa is the one shown comforting/checking in on Levi right after he kills Zeke and Levi is the one spurring Mikasa on, saying "there the only ones left who can kill Eren" before she finds her resolve to do so (and also literally clears the way via thunderspear so Mikasa can kill Eren).
3. Levi's narrative purpose- or what even is the point of Levi post-explosion?
I've seen like ten thousand posts or comments saying something to the extent of "Levi should've died in the explosion, he has no point afterwards". I completely disagree, but beyond how dumb of a death that'd be for a character that's the most featured (most "screen time"/panel time) after EMA pre-time skip and EMA+Reiner post-time skip and story contributions that Levi brings (like leadership and direction for the Alliance with Hange dead after Armin is taken), Levi as a character embodies certain important themes/narrative messages for the story. Several of them are illustrated through his conflict with and contrast to Zeke.
His desire to protect people and preserve life even if they are strangers, or even in conflict with him, is highlighted through his juxtaposition to Zeke as discussed above
"Your deaths had meaning, at last I can prove it."
The big thing about the promise is that Levi wants to make the deaths, all of the sacrifices (Erwin but also all of the recruits that charged to their deaths), mean something. All of them sacrificed themselves to give Levi the chance to take down Zeke and Levi is tortured with guilt that he didn't finish the job because he views it as making their sacrifices meaningless. The promise serves to remind the reader that Levi cares so much about giving meaning to the fallen Survey Corps members' lives.
In his intro, Levi says to the Survey Corps rando that his death isn't worthless and it's not the end of his contributions to humanity because Levi will take up his resolve, that his death will inspire Levi, and Levi promises to end the titan threat with that resolve. One could argue that the promise is to remind us why Levi does what he does, what's driving him, the pressure of living with the need to make every sacrifice worth it- and in turn how Levi views/viewed ending the titan threat, a "world without titans", as the ultimate way to prove the sacrifices of the Survey Corps had meaning and his fallen comrades' lives weren't wasted. That's important because of Levi's ending, after the titans leave the world partially because of his efforts and him having seen through that mission until the end and getting a sendoff to the fallen Survey Corps members.
His focus on the next generation
A big theme of AoT is about protecting the next generation, and all of the OG Survey Corps believed this- we see many vets die to ensure recruits survive- but we see it articulated through Levi a lot. He seems to have a soft spot for children in general (getting concerned over the starving mother and baby in Trost, supporting Historia's orphanage plan, saving Ramzi after he pickpockets him, etc.), but he is also shown thinking about "getting the brats to the sea" as the purpose of the OG Survey Corps in 136, aka serving the dreams of the future/next generation- that's part of an internal monologue that begins with Levi focusing on Zeke and the promise.
The euthanasia plan is sharply at odds with Levi's "get the brats to the sea"/next gen protection mentality given it prevents a next generation of Elidians.
The contrast of Falbi and Zeke vs. Falbi and Levi. Zeke callously calls Falbi "miscalculations" in front of them- and Levi- not long after Levi meets Falbi for the first time, Levi spends the end of the Rumbling arc with Falbi after they arrive and they're the only two with him when Zeke calls out to Levi to end his life, Levi and Zeke actually discuss Falbi in the forest, etc. There's a weird sort of arc here since Falbi admired Zeke and felt betrayed by him (and he was indifferent to them when he screamed and knowingly turned Falco into a titan, killing Colt in the process, while Gabi desperately screams for Falco) while Falbi see Levi for the first time in the terrifying staged takedown of the Beast Titan and then end up spending more time in the end of the Rumbling arc fight with Levi than anyone else and Levi's last panel has him depicted as being with them, kind of like a reversal.

Omoi yo Hitotsu no Nare
Feelings, become One
Part 2 of 2
find part one here
Writer's block is being rough on me, so the only thing I was able to create lately was a short story of my MC Clover and Leviathan. It shows their adorable friendship as they experience an idol live show together.
Enjoy 🧡
"Wooaah... I can't believe I'm really here..."
Her mouth opened wide, Clover looked at the Tokyo Dome with big, sparkling eyes. Taking in the astonishing view, her heart was beating fast already. "Look at how many people are here...!"
Levi gave a nod. "It's impressive, isn't it? Normally I would hate being surrounded by so many people, but it's different for such events. Everyone came for the one and same reason."
Clover's lips curled into a smile.
"To cherish what we love."
When making their way to the entrance for their seating section, the mass of people grew denser the closer they got to the Dome. Eventually, Clover had troubles staying next to Levi's side, which let anxiety to rise within her. She was afraid of getting separated, especially since she hasn't taken Solomon's translation potion yet. The sorcerer warned that the magic could wear off a little too soon, so Clover wanted to drink it right before the live would start.
Hence her panic, as suddenly it seemed like a literal train of people crossing their path would separate her from her demon friend.
"L-levi!!" she screamed on impulse while fiddling to grab his coat's sleeve.
"Uwah, Clover!" Levi huffed, turning towards her in irritation. Being used to go to events all alone, he had kind of forgot for a second that he should match his pace with Clover's.
But even now as he had slowed down, the girl wouldn't let go of his clothes.
"U-uhm... I panic when getting separated in places I've never been to..." Clover explained as she noticed Levi's confusion. "It calms me when I feel you're here by my side, so..." she gently tugged on his sleeve while unintentionally giving him her biggest pleading face. "Could we stay like this? Just until we're at our seats of course."
A little flustered, Levi played it cool and gave a shrug. "S-sure, if you feel safer that way..."
And so, the two continued their way, the demon hiding how soft this whole ordeal had made him inside, while Clover was following along like a mildly frightened puppy.
Once inside the hall, Levi and Clover had no troubles finding their seats. Thus, they were quickly established, and while the Otaku explained some insider facts about the Tokyo Dome (that he might have googled beforehand as he was afraid to sit there in awkward silence), the hall was steadily filling with more and more fans.
The anticipation was almost painful, Clover really had to put energy into calming herself down. Especially since Levi wasn't a help at all. He was a strong fan of idols, so naturally his hype was increasing at least as much.
The two were almost bouncing in their seats, as finally, the lights dimmed, and a live orchestra started playing the anime's main theme...
Talking about the full concert would truly be a task too big for this little story (even though I could surely gush about it for hours straight).
But there were a few highlights worth mentioning.
Beforehand, Clover had been worrying over whether her shy personality would allow her to cheer and sing with all she had. But when the idols appeared on stage, all doubts were blown away immediately. Crying in overwhelming happiness, she sang along and shouted from the top of her lungs to Aqours' songs, Leviathan of course doing the same next to her.
They were enjoying themselves so much.
There wasn't a single moment where they weren't.
Oh, well, maybe there was a split second for Levi.
One of the idols had a call and response which animated the crowd to hug a person next to you.
And so, while Levi was preparing emotionally to ask Clover for a hug, said idol called out her catch phrase. But as Levi turned to his human friend, he saw how Clover was turned to the person on the other side.
It appeared the stranger next to her had asked her for a hug, and, awkward but nice as she was, Clover couldn't reject the request.
It broke her heart into pieces as she quickly turned the other way around afterwards, checking on Levi and seeing his disappointed expression.
"Don't worry sweetie, you'll get a hug too!!" She called out and wrapped her arms around him with almost too much force.
"I've been planning to give you a biiig hug since we started practising the call and responses...!"
Gosh, I really want to fangirl about these amazing idols for longer, but I will not torture you with that.
But there is one last event I have to address.
About in the middle of the live show, the girls were dressed in the outfits for a very special song.
A song they have been avoiding to perform after a member broke into tears in the middle of the performance.
Still, there she was, Rikyako, next to a piano once again.
And let me tell you, the crowd was going WILD. Levi and Clover were by far not the only one's in awe over how on the big screens, you could see how Rikyako was giving her fellow members a confident nod.
Then she started playing while the others were beginning to sing the song "Omoi yo Hitotsu ni Nare".
Clover was already in tears at this point, proud to see Rikyako was about to conquer this piano piece once more.
Then, however, Rikyako suddenly stood up, but the music was continuing to play a soft piano medley.
Visibly at the edge of tears, too, the pianist made her way to her friends, and by now Levi (and probably all other fans) have lost it as well.
Rikyako, as well as the other eight members, had gathered on the central stage, to then put their hands together, their eyes glistening in determination.
"Sh-she's joining the performance?!" Levi squealed.
"No way!!" Clover cried. "This is so cute oh my lord I cAN'T-!"
And they sang, the performance now officially beginning. It was a song about being connected, being there for each other. There couldn't have been a more fitting gesture to show this than bringing the pianist, once struggling, into the performance.
And while Clover listened in to their singing, to the message they conveyed...
She truly understood what had been going on the last few weeks.
"Kakegae no nai hibi o sugoshitetanda"
'I was amid days that could never be replaced'
She was down, broken, had felt miserable.
She had been trying to hide it, deal with it in her own.
But her friends had known.
And they've been by her side.
"Imasara wakatta hitori janai."
'I finally realized I'm not alone'
Even when she had somewhat pushed them away, they where there.
Somehow it occurred to her only now that their small gestures, everything up to the invitation to this live show,
They haven't been coincidences,
But were doing this explicitly to cheer her up.
Clover turned her head to look at Leviathan.
"Kakegae no nai hibi o tsumi kasanete"
'Those irreplaceable days continued on'
And to her surprise, Levi had been looking at her, too.
When their eyes met, he smiled.
A small smile, but warm and gentle.
So, with hot tears rolling down her cheeks,
Clover smiled back.
"Imasara wakatta..."
'I finally realized...'
The girls on stage grabbed each others hand, And so did Levi bashfully move his hand to link his pinky finger with Clover's.
They exchanged a tiny nod.
"... hitori janai!"
'... I'm not alone!'
And went to cheer their hearts out for the rest of the live show, too. Connected by the hands they did not part until the end.
Late in the evening, the oldest brother Lucifer was waiting at the portal to the human world to welcome the two back.
While Levi was looking fine, he was shocked to see Clover with swollen red eyes, tired as if having run a marathon just now.
"Are you alright?" Lucifer raised an eyebrow, mustering the girl.
Having only like five percent left of her voice, Clover assured him that she was more than fine.
"I cried so much" she laughed in a hoarse voice. "It was amazing."
"You really cried SO much more than I did lol"
The avatar of Pride didn't quite understand the connection between "crying lots" and this being "amazing", but he saw how truly satisfied both of them were, so a content smile spread on his lips as well.
"Then let us head home" Lucifer said. "It appears both of you could use a good night's sleep."
At the house of Lamentation, Levi had checked his D.D.D., and something must have prompted him to hurry back home as he had left the two to walk alone for a bit.
Clover took this opportunity to address the oldest brother in this quieter moment.
"Lucifer? Thank you for letting us go to the human world today. It means a lot to me."
Eyeing her sparkling expression, Lucifer couldn't but let out a happy exhale.
"I am glad your spirits have lifted. I was displeased to see you in this saddened state, but it seems like my brothers took great care of you."
Clover smiled, watching how Levi was urging to open the mansion's door.
"They really did."
The smile seemed to be contagious, as soon, Lucifer wore it too.
"However, you should thank Levi thrice as much. You don't want to know what measures he took to convince me to let you two go out today."
The girl's eyes widened, glistening with gratitude.
"Yes, I will."
And so she dashed after the avatar of Envy.
She reached him in the entrance hall, where he was arguing with Mammon over whatever.
As soon as this had been resolved, Clover dashed into Levi to hug him yet another time.
"E-eh?! Seriously, Clover, y-you can't just hug people whenever you like-"
"Thank you, Levi" she interrupted him in a gentle tone. "I'll never forget this."
Blushing, Levi returned the embrace.
"It wasn't much, really..." He mumbled bashfully.
But Clover shook her head.
"No, I mean it." She mumbled into his clothing.
"I'll never forget your kindness."
And with that, she pulled back...
But placed a sweet, little kiss of gratitude on his cheek before quickly making her leave.
"Good night, Levia-tan!"
Holding the place where her lips had touched him, the demon looked after her.
"Good... night..." he mumbled in a baffled response.
But ultimately, he smiled, knowing that he, the anti-social, shut-in Otaku, had not only managed to cheer someone up,
but also felt how he had grown closer to a person very dear to him.

Here's a link to the song's performance in case anyone wants to watch the one for 'Omoi yo Hitotsu ni Nare' (and there are a bunch more of Aqours, go support them they're precious 🥺)

La Vie En Rose
Tumblr media
Ocean’s  8 - one shot
For anon!
Summary: You have a crush on Ruby Rose and love watching all her stuff all the time, and it brings Lou to an eventual breaking point.
Characters: Lou x fem!reader, mention of the wonderful Ruby Rose
Word Count: 1,248
Warnings: Angst! Miscommunication and jealousy between girlfriends (though eventually resolved) <3
The day had been exhausting. Lou had spent most of her time at the club lugging around equipment, booze and incompetent workers who were getting on her nerves to the point where she wanted to break someone’s neck.
As soon as she entered the apartment, she was expecting to see you right there, on a couch or maybe in the kitchen. Instead, it was quiet.
Lou kicked off her heeled boots before dragging herself up the stairs to her master bedroom and adjoining bathroom to take a much needed shower.
When she opened the door, however, she was surprised to find you sitting in bed, covers bundled around you and a laptop on your lap. A familiar theme song came on and Lou nearly sighed in exasperation, but instead wandered over to you and sat down on the edge.
“Hey,” she said, clearly expecting a kiss with the way she leaned in. You blinked, having barely registered Lou coming into the room, but the distinct smell of vodka and motor oil stood out clear enough.
“Hey,” you said, giving her a small smile before looking back at your laptop screen where Orange is the New Black began playing.
Lou sighed, shoulders slumping from exhaustion, and pressed a soft kiss to the side of your head before walking to the bathroom, knowing there was no way you’d tear yourself away from the screen when Ruby Rose came on.
By the time Lou came out of the bathroom, clean but tired, you were on another episode with Ruby. Lou turned off the lights, crawling in bed next to you and  nearly nodding off if it wasn’t for your startled ‘hey!’ as the lights went out.
“Hey yourself,” she grumbled, pressing her face in the pillow. “Turn the laptop off, babe. I’m trying to sleep.”
“The sun’s not even down, Lou. Plus, I’m watching my show,” you said, gesturing to the sun lingering on the horizon, knowing she couldn’t see you with her face against the pillow.
“Yeah yeah, the show with that really hot brunette and the tattoos, I get it. Can you let me sleep at least? There’s plenty of room downstairs, even a tv to hook up to if you wanna see her face so badly. On a giant screen, even.”
You could hardly respond, tearing your eyes away from Ruby Rose’s alluring gaze in the show to your girlfriend in the bed next to you. Her tone had been bitter, and harshly sarcastic.
You gently closed the laptop, and instead reached over to turn on the lamp on your nightstand, filling the room with a soft light. Lou grumbled some more and curled further away from you.
You set the laptop on the stand and shuffled over to align your body with Lou’s, who muttered something into the pillow. You poked a finger to her shoulder, causing her to twitch.
You poked her side. Another twitch. Her arm. A low grumble.
When you reached around to poke her nose, she huffed and scrambled to face you, her tired eyes blazing at you.
“What,” she demanded, annoyed at you with your stupid little show that seemed more important to you than her. You tried not to wince at the anger in her tone.
“Sorry,” you muttered. “You never told me how work was?”
“Cause you never asked.”
“...Well, I’m asking now.”
“Well, it’s too late now. I’m exhausted.”
“I can tell.”
She glared at you and made to turn over again but you held her firmly by the waist.
“Are you angry at me?” you asked. She met your eyes and something flashed by that you couldn’t decipher.
“No,” yes she was, “everything’s fine,” no it wasn’t, “just let me sleep and you can go back to that show about whatever.”
“Okay, so you’re not jealous?”
“Why would I be jealous?”
“Oh, I don’t know, maybe cause there’s this really hot actress in it, who I absolutely adore and will watch in anything?”
“Stop it, Y/N.”
“And she’s like, super hot in suits and short hair, with a look to die for, and who’s so fuckin’ queer in it too?”
“Alright, fine!” she whacked her pillow against your arm. You smiled, glad you got through to her, even if it hurt to egg her on like this.
“Fine,” she sighed, rubbing her face. “Yeah, I’m jealous. You’re just always watching her goddamn stuff, and you don’t even know her. Like, hello, you still have a real-life girlfriend, you know.”
“It’s called a celebrity crush, Lou. It’s not a real crush.”
“Oh, wow, that made everything 10 times better, thanks.”
“I’m sorry,” you sighed, grabbing her hand in yours and squeezing. “I didn’t know it upset you that much. I’ve liked Ruby Rose’s stuff for ages, and I thought that all girls, well, at least the ones who might be-,”
“Gay? You thought we all just were in love with her? Newsflash, I don’t watch TV, so I’m not one of them.”
“Maybe you should, see why I like her and this show so much.”
“Nuh-uh, not happening.”
“Really? Not even one episode? I’ll make it up to you afterwards, alright?”
“Oh yeah?”
“If you don’t like the first 3 episodes of Orange is the New Black, I won’t watch any TV for a week.”
“Hmph. Why are we making this promise? It’s stupid. Just admit you’d rather date Ruby Rose over me and I can go back to moping in my sleep.”
“But I wouldn’t rather date her, Lou!” you exclaimed, exasperated. “I just like her stuff is all! She’s a good actress, and yeah, sure, heaven forbid I find her cute as well.”
Lou pursed her lips and stared at you some more, not wanting to lash out with unnecessary comments. You had both pressed each other’s buttons for long enough. Okay, maybe you did watch a lot of her stuff consistently, but at first Lou had never seemed to mind. And Lou was sensitive to these sorts of things, overreacting just a little, and combined with her sleepiness it was guaranteed to blow up tonight.
“I’m sorry,” you said, shuffling closer. “I know how busy you’ve been, lately. And I’m probably not helping, ogling a celebrity through a screen the entire time.”
You let your head drop next to yours and her hand instinctively came up to brush over your ear and jawline.
“I’m sorry too, I shouldn’t have snapped,” she sighed. “It’s just so- weird. To have to compete with someone who doesn’t know we exist.”
“You don’t have to compete with anyone, Lou. You’re the only one who has my heart,” you said, eyes twinkling. “I’ll stop watching her so much.”
“No, don’t. I don’t want to force you to stop anything. Just-, I don’t know. I need reassurance from time to time. And lately I’ve been so busy that we’ve felt-,”
“-distant,” you finished.
“...Yeah.”
“Wanna stay in tomorrow and eat junk food in bed?” you suggested. She grinned, eyes crinkling adorably.
“Of course.”
She pressed a faint kiss to your forehead. “And maybe I’ll give that show a go.”
“Really?”
“Yeah, just one episode though. Debbie’s been recommending it too, she likes it cause it’s relatable to her now.”
“Why? Oh, cause she went to prison too?”
“Yup.”
You giggled. “Alright, but only if you want to. We can watch some old-timey silent movie that you like too.”
She smiled and you kissed her lips. “We’ll make a day of it.”
A/N: A request that I thoroughly enjoyed writing. I don’t usually write with real people, but that’s only if it’s aimed to involve them in relationships or other things that stray beyond real-life. This was a lot more fun; some angsty and jealous Lou for you all! Hope you liked it guys.

I reblogged your post with my answer, but I don’t know if you actually got it, so here it is:
Well, it’s still worrying since the Asides were supposed to be separated from the main plot but now they aren’t, and already by the second one you have to watch it to know what’s going on. Plus, they’re apparently such a priority we’re getting two more before the season finale. But yeah, it could be worse.
As for the Patton-jealousy arc, that’s just a theory that one of the fans had for something that happened a lot in some of season 1 and early season 2– Logan, and Roman, would often be pretty hostile to Patton. Mostly Logan, and then Roman would follow as if to prove himself.
Like, they’d often be deliberately depicted to act upset and jealous whenever Patton got any acknowledgement from Thomas. Logan seemed sensitive to Patton being commended for being smart in any way and kept trying to leave him out, like in the Sherlock episode. In one episode when Thomas went along with Patton in saying that Logan and Roman worked well together, and Patton’s theme began to play, the two belittled him and told him he was acting immature. They kept brushing him off and wouldn’t take him seriously. They also slowed Patton down in Accepting Anxiety Part 1, when Patton tries to point out Virgil isn’t there by brushing him off and talking about other reasons. And in Logic vs. Passion, at the end of the video, a point is made in the end card of Virgil sitting with Patton and saying that it’s a shame Patton wasn’t there since he would’ve probably made some good points. It very much seemed like a deliberately built up plot point.
Then it was just forgotten about after Moving On. And honestly, it wasn’t resolved. Not completely. All that happened was that Thomas realized it was okay to feel sad and that Patton wasn’t always as happy as he acted for them. And they might’ve subconsciously realized that they should’ve listened to him in the beginning, though they didn’t even seem to consciously know they were talking over him.
But it wasn’t properly resolved. The sides never apologized and acknowledged they should listen to him more— heck, Logan wasn’t even there in person. And his “gift”?? Where it’s a “compromise” between Patton wearing something he likes that hurts no one and Logan... just wanting to control what he wears?? Thomas should understand that’s not an apology. Barely acknowledging that someone can be nonconformist while still forcing them to conform to your slightly more lenient standards isn’t a complete resolution, and it’s definitely not an acknowledgement of everything Logan especially did wrong to Patton. Thomas leaving it at that wasn’t a “subtle” finish, it was downright incomplete, and it wouldn’t be the end of the issue in a real relationship.
But it’s just vanished after that. Half-done, and then discarded. Like it just was there for drama. Like we’re supposed to assume that it was worked out offscreen, which, no. Building up a conflict for that long kind of requires you to resolve it fully on-screen, not set up a possibility of finishing it and then leave it. That’s just asking the audience to write the story for you. It just feels forgotten about.
Just like the unresolved issues at the end of LNTAO. Are we ever coming back to that one? It was established after the episode that the conversation wasn’t done, that Roman’s apology and wanting not to shy away from his pain didn’t solve anything yet.
Heck, the whole problem was mostly caused by Logan— Roman is having trouble creating because creativity isn’t a machine that endlessly churns out product. He needs some time for Thomas to self-reflect in order to be able to create more easily. But Logan is worried taking time will drive fans away, so he’s just demanding Roman produce. And when Roman can’t, Logan doesn’t have a solution, he just keeps demanding Roman create more, so of course Roman lashes out. And Logan’s the one who thinks Thomas should get a “real,” societally-approved job, like an accountant. And Roman ends up apologizing? For lashing out in response to Logan’s bullying? That doesn’t actually solve anything!
It was implied we were going to come back to it, but then immediately afterwards Deceit appears, and then we were just given new plot thread on top of new plot thread, as if the new ones are meant to bury the old ones. Roman’s issues were never returned to, and it seems like they’re eventually just going to explode. But from the way the other sides are acting, I don’t think it looks like they’re being set up to understand why Roman’s upset when it all becomes too much. It looks like they’ll just think he’s being difficult. Will the conflict actually be wrapped up and resolved properly, or will there just be a bunch of drama, and then a hastily rushed half-done conclusion?
Roman deserves better than that. But I don’t know how much I trust the writers anymore.
Sorry I got a bit off topic there. But I just really needed to get my worries out. I hope I answered your question, anyway.
I did get your reblog, I just got sick last night (nothing covid related, dw) and wasn’t feeling well enough to respond.
That makes sense on where the jealousy idea came from, but I’d honestly interpreted it as them being like “you’re an idiot and are throwing Thomas off track”, and then in Moving On they realized “oh shit that was all a front, you’re like... really hurting”
BUT, that being said, your interpretations/theories/etc are all completely valid, just because we saw it differently doesn’t mean one of us is wrong.
I’m sure they have... something planned? And maybe it’s all just setting up for a slow-burn type of thing? but... the execution of that is sure going to be... something, if we ever get to see it

Hello! I love this prompts and I decided to sent one too! (You of course don't have to write anything!) ok so they're some years into the "paradise hideout" situation and emma notices that a lot of girls figuratively thought hearts to norman. And she's like "what is this feeling 🤔" so of course she want to ask her friends, but Ray is in some mission, so she goes to norman. Norman finds it cute that emma is jealous(maybe) but he also wants to mess with her a little bit 😏(he and his games)
Oblivious Emma returns to the screen.
I don’t know how it happened, but it somehow managed to get this long.
“Hi, you must be that Emma! Everyone’s been talking about you and your family!”
Emma whipped her head in the direction of the voice. When she turned around, she met eyes with a petite brunette that had both her hands stretched out from the back. Her ponytail was high up on her head, and it only accentuated the structure of her jaw more.
Usually, Emma wouldn't notice something so irrelevant. Physical appearance was, after all, just a facade.
But this particular brunette had somehow managed to crawl into her sight and never left since. She'd seen her prance around the room whenever Norman was present, and she'd shower him with words of praise and gratitude for saving her family and establishing a hideout that was far from the vicious claws of demons.
She was friendly, Emma first assumed.
A little too friendly was what she thought after a few more encounters with the said brunette.
And if Gilda didn't volunteer to spell it out for her, she wouldn't have noticed that this said brunette might even be subtly flirting.
Emma didn't know why the mere idea of someone flirting with Norman, her best friend alongside Ray, would muddle her thoughts.
And now, this brunette was acting friendly towards her — weeks after she and her family were welcomed into the Paradise Hideout with open arms.
"Yes, I'm Emma," she cheerfully introduced despite her mind being astray. "I've seen you in Norman's office a couple of times before if you can remember."
"Yes! I'm so glad you remembered me!" The girl wildly cheered. "I heard you were one of William Minerva's closest friends back then. I'm honored to be speaking with you."
Emma loosened up. She might just have been overthinking things. This lady was just friendly with everyone.
"Nor—William Minerva and I have been best friends since birth! He really is amazing for being able to pull off something as" —she proceeded to look around her in undeterred awe— "amazing as this."
The little brunette abashedly looked away. "Yes, some of us have heard. And because you are such good friends with Mr. Minerva, we wanted to ask you something."
Emma stared, bewildered. "We?"
"Ah, y-yes," said the brunette as she stuttered. "Some of us girls here are curious."
Emma was curious as well. What could these girls be curious about that they had to send someone to ask her?
"Okay! What is it? I know Norman better than anyone. I'm sure I can answer that," Emma confidently proclaimed.
All uneasiness left the brunette's face and was instantly replaced with elation.
"This is great! We were actually wondering if Mr. Minerva has a girlfriend!"
Emma tilted her head to the side. Of course! Norman had a lot of girl friends!
"Yes! But I think he treats them more as a family though," she answered, a finger tapping the cushion of her chin in wonder.
"Eh?"
It took a while for the brunette to reach the conclusion that Emma definitely did not understand what she meant.
"No, not a girl friend, but a girlfriend.” She emphasized the words slowly.
Emma's brows frowned downwards.
What was the difference?
"You know, like a... lover? Someone he wanted to be married to?"
The clarification threw Emma off. There was such a thing called girlfriend? It wasn't a girl being just a friend?
"I-I don't think Norman has a girlfriend," she answered, ill at ease. To be frank with herself, she didn't truly know if Norman did have somebody he considered spouse material. "He's busy enough as it is."
Emma didn't know why the wash of relief that crossed the face of this brunette had irked her.
"That's good to hear! A lot of us here are actually trying our chances to get to know him better. Do you think you could help some of us out?"
She didn't know why she was feeling more bothered with every second this conversation prolonged, but this was where she drew the line.
Yet again, she didn't know why she had to draw a line in the first place.
"I-I actually have a lot of things to do. We're planning to go somewhere dangerous and we have to prepare for that."
"Oh, no! You don't have to apologize. We all know you're doing your best. We'll just stick to talking with him then. Thank you, Emma!"
With a wave of a hand, the brunette went off to her flock of friends, and it only left Emma with feelings she couldn't quite decipher.
Of course, she always had to get the answers right away.
Her feet heavily crossed the path leading towards Norman's office. She just had to know right then and there if Norman did have a girlfriend.
And if he didn't have one, why were girls pining over him like a gift?
When she reached the threshold of his office, she knocked mercilessly at the door. Emma knew how immersed he was when he was at work, so it would take more than a single knock to get his attention.
"Norman! Norman! Norman! It's Emma! Open —!"
The door opened widely and Norman appeared before her.
Norman was in his usual suit, and Emma's thoughts started to wander on the instances he wore such a delicate piece of clothing and how it always looked good on him.
She forcefully shut her eyes and shook her head to banish the thoughts in her mind.
"Emma, what can I do for you?" Norman inquired as he paved way for Emma to enter his office. "I thought you and Ray would be preparing for your departure to the Seven Walls."
"Ray went to ask Anna for medical supplies in case of an emergency," she supplied before making her way to the couch that faced his table.
Norman's face registered a brief echo of worry. "Very clever of Ray to do so."
Emma crossed her hands over her chest in a stance of feigned protest. "We'll be fine! Stop being a worrywart and start believing in us!"
Norman chuckled lightly and went on to his desk. He reached out to his cup of coffee and held the handle of it loosely, somewhat slanting at an angle.
"What suddenly brings you here? Do you need anything?"
"No. I just wanted to know if you have a girlfriend," Emma answered nonchalantly, plopping down on the couch where Barbara aggressively cornered her the other day.
Norman sputtered his coffee in the other direction, mildly staining his necktie in the process.
"A what?" he clarified, coughing afterward.
"A girlfriend! I wanted to know if you have a girlfriend!"
Norman pegged her a stare, utterly confounded. He briefly averted his gaze to school his reaction and straighten his train of thought.
Suddenly being asked by the person he was enamored with if he had a girlfriend would never occur in the wildest of his imaginations.
He cleared his throat uncomfortably. "Where is this coming from?"
Emma frowned at the memory from earlier. The exchange she had with the brunette was nothing short of what she was expecting. But given the information that Norman was being thrown around with love and adoration from the general female population in this hideout tasted bitter against her tongue.
"Some girls are asking me if you have a girlfriend," she spouted it wryly, eyebrows knitted into a frown while she gazed at the stack of papers on his desk. "I didn't know if you had one, so I went with a safe answer."
She'd look at anything, but his eyes.
Norman was a keen observer, and he knew Emma better than he knew himself. But there were rare occurrences, such as this one, when her mood completely shifted and he didn’t know why.
He was actually surprised that Emma knew the difference between a girl friend and a girlfriend.
"I don't have a girlfriend."
"That's why I told them! You're too busy to have a girlfriend!"
The dissatisfaction in her voice was leaking and she didn't like it at all.
Norman sensed a tinge of hostility coming from her. He noticed that some of the female residents were coming off too strong in their attempts to befriend him, yet he didn't think it'd escalate to the point that they'd probe Emma for any details of him.
He walked over to the couch and sat next to her. "You sound dismayed. Did any of them upset you somehow?"
Emma's eyes blew wide at Norman's inference. Was he able to notice how troubled she looked?
She slowly shook her head as a response. "No, it's not that. I think they're very friendly!"
Norman didn't want to prod any further, but knowing Emma, she'd try to resolve things in her own hands.
What could've been troubling her that she even took it upon herself to pay him a visit for the sole purpose of knowing if he had a girlfriend?
"Then, what is it?" he inquired inquisitively.
Emma fiddled with her hands, eyes spaced out on his carpeted floor. "I don't know. I just wanted to see you after that conversation."
"What? Why?" His voice reverberated concern.
She raised her head, face scrunched up in discomfort due to the unintelligible thought running in circles in her mind. "I didn't like hearing it! Hearing that they'll do everything to get to know you better. Or you having a girlfriend or a... lover!"
Norman's mouth hung ajar at her sudden outburst. Emma was the kind of person to get riled up over the most minuscule of things, but this was something he had never expected of hearing.
Is she possibly —
The side of his mouth twitched into a satisfactory smirk. Subtle, yet Emma didn't seem to notice.
It was time to test if what he was assuming that very moment could be a possibility after all.
"I'm confused." He feigned the expression of skepticism on his face. "Why didn't you like it?"
"I don't know. All I know is that it isn't a good feeling. You shouldn't be bothered about it. It’s just... something that’s been bothering me for a while."
Her thoughts had not once lead to anything clear, and she wasn't the only one being consoled with the trouble this time.
Norman eased his position on the couch and stared at the wall, heedful of her whims.
Maybe she really is —
He succumbed to one last attempt.
"Emma." He slowly fixed his gaze solely on her, and it was enough for Emma to steady her attention towards him without any contemplation. "If I ever did have a girlfriend, would you hate it?"
His inquiry promptly suspended her thoughts in place. Hearing other people vocalize their yearning for Norman was one thing; learning that he had a girlfriend was another.
Do I hate it?
She had never thought it through. But now that Norman was the one to ask her something her mind never took the opportunity to leap into, she realized how devastatingly vexing the feeling was.
She didn't fancy the idea one bit.
Norman heaved a low, deep sigh; he shouldn't be pushing his buttons on Emma. A lot of things were happening between them — all the good and the bad, and it wasn't the ideal time and place to indulge in something so... trivial at the moment.
"You don't have to answer that. I was only curi—"
"I... don't think I like the idea of you having a girlfriend," Emma answered, voice steady without hesitation.
It was Norman's turn to be tongue-tied. "Y-you do?"
"Yeah," she retorted back. "I mean, if you have a girlfriend, we won't get to hang out like we always do! Getting a girlfriend means I won't get to be this close to you anymore!"
His voice didn't falter as he further delved into the specifics of his curiosity. "Is having a girlfriend that bad?"
"Yes!" she instantaneously rebutted, not even fighting to keep her voice down. "I don't like the idea of being away from you!"
They both swallowed the silence that enveloped them.
While Norman was trying hard to maintain an outward appearance of passivity after hearing what she thought of him being involved with anyone, Emma's expression was resigned to that of someone who was determined to get what she wanted.
"Well, then." Norman stood up, one hand clutching onto his necktie, with the tips of his fingers pressed firmly to its texture. "You are free to tell anyone that I have no girlfriend and I have no desire to involve myself with anyone."
Relief washed over her face, and what was once a pout on her lips was now replaced with a hopeful grin.
"Really? Are you sure?"
Norman gave a low laugh and began to comfortably position himself back to the usual spot on his seat.
"I don't think I could ever involve myself with just anyone."
A lazy grin was on his face, but his voice was sharp.
Sharp and with a foolproof intention lying underneath the base of his words.
"Okay! I'll tell that to everyone who'll try asking me again!" Emma stared at the clock plastered on his wall and her eyes widened at the time. "Oh, shoot! I have to find Ray now."
She roughly made her way to the door, and before turning the knob to leave, she pointed a finger at him for one last reminder.
"Wait for me, Norman! I'll be sure to reforge the promise. Then, we'll do everything together!" she announced, just as the remnants of her shadow left the premise of his office.
Norman smiled to himself as he recalled their entire conversation.
Obviously, Emma had nothing to worry about. Even without her vague display of jealousy, his mind had already been made up since he was a child.
Little did Emma know, she was the only person he planned to involve himself with for the rest of his life.

Haurchefant x Nerys, set immediately after Ardent [Ao3 Link]
Heavensward, right after Inquisition trial and before “Keeping the Flame Alive”
Rating: T for off-screen sex, sex talk
~*This is 2K words, most of it is fluff and I revel in it*~
The Fortemps library is a grand one. Haurchefant is not certain how it compares–he has only been in Haillenarte's with Francel–but imagines it is the finest in Ishgard. His father is a man of letters, a true believer in the power of words. And one who expected his sons to follow suit.
His education differed greatly from his brothers’ the day he became a knight’s page. Even still, his lord father sent him monthly parcels of books. He was expected to read them all and send detailed reports on the contents. Had he ever kept up his thaumaturgy studies, he would have been hard-pressed to find the time.
As it was, he’d stayed up often to fit in the poetry and novels not on the list. Count Edmont was a modern man and his syllabus reflected this–vetted popular authors and poets made it into the parcels. Never in the quantity Haurchefant would have liked. And never some of the one-gil books he bought in The Pillars.
When he was a boy, there were songs for sale about body functions and noises; exaggerated tales of heroes fighting all manner of beasts and foes. As a youth, these became long, violent epics of battles and bravery. As a young man: lurid poems and explicit romance novels. Some as grand and sweeping as the classical romances his Father promoted. Some were not.
He has managed to introduce some contemporary poets into the collection. Not all. Edmont’s tastes in poetry run more traditional. Some of the rising stars of the field are roundly rejected.
Haurchefant is working on that.
Today, he feels romantic in both classic and literal senses. And as his Father has ordered him to stay for a day and night, indulging in a novel sounds just the thing.  It seems that getting trapped in a blizzard–even if things had gone fine, more than fine–means your noble father turns to such decrees.
At least, that is what it means now they are growing close, as they never had been. Another miracle Nerys has wrought with her coming. And as Haurchefant has full faith in Corentiaux and the rest...he allows himself to be thus ordered.
Someone else is in the library. He can sense it soon as he enters. A soldier learns to tell when others are near, even in safe environs such as this. Haurchefant softens his footfalls, peering about the shelves. There, in the alcove reserved for study, he finds the source of today’s romantic mood.
Nerys looks up, eyes turning soft. His heart swells in his chest, his mouth cannot help but smile. It’s unstoppable and he does not ever want it to cease. Was it really only yesterday? That she told me my love was returned?
It seems a dream now, albeit the sweetest one he has ever had.
Her hands sweep at the papers she has laid out, pulling them into a stack. Flips over the one on top. “Hello.”
“Hello, my dear.” How nice to call her that. “I thought you were on a shopping expedition with Emmanellain?”
“I was.” She touches her neckline. So caught up in her eyes, he hadn’t noticed the gown she wore.
Scarlet as the unicorn on his shield, set off with dangling garnets in her ears. The heart-shaped neckline shows off her elegant neck and collar bones. The sleeves are slashed to reveal white fabric beneath and the cuffs have delicate pearls. “I found this. For when I’m here at the manor and not about to fight Inquisitors or dragons.”
“You are breathtaking in it.” He circles the table to take her hand. Bows over it before pressing his mouth to her knuckles. Etiquette demands he should kiss the air above it but surely exceptions are made for lovers.
She is my lover now, he thinks in wonder. Her cheeks stain with a fetching indigo shade. “My lord is kind.”
Haurchefant drops to one knee before his lady and turns her hand. Her palm is just as lovely to kiss. “Your lord means everything he says. But if you require further proof of my ardor…”
Nerys darts a glance about before tilting up his chin. Her kiss is sweet and soft and not a little heated. Would that he might lay her upon the table in this temple of learning and know her better.
Alas, Nerys has asked for discretion. Time to better acquaint themselves as lovers before declaring themselves. They are still friends–always will be, if he has anything to do with it–but this dynamic is new and strange. Haurchefant can understand why the most public figure in Eorzea might want some measure of privacy.
Though, he reflects as he parts from her. Half the fun would be keeping quiet and avoiding discovery.
“I know that look,” she says. “You’re thinking of something lascivious.”
“When I had this look before I confessed, what did you think it meant?”
“The same,” she admits. “But that your love of innuendo was good-natured teasing.”
He heaves a sigh. Either he is not as obvious as Estinien always accuses him or she’d been in deep, deep denial. “Dearest love, how-”
The library doors bang open and the culprit whistles as he walks inside. Haurchefant rises, knowing exactly who it is before he comes into view.
“Old Girl! Old Man!” Emmanellain grins. “You didn’t tell me we were having a party in the library.”
“Impetuous Youth,” Haurchefant shoots back. “What if one of us was deep in study?”
“Oh I don’t deal in ‘what-ifs’. You two are having a conversation, not studying; ergo all is well.”
“He has a point. I think,” says Nerys. “By the by, if Haurchefant is ‘Old Man’, what do you call your eldest brother?”
The two men exchange looks. Smile. Say in unison, “Artoirel.”
Nerys groans and flaps both hands at them in dismissal. “Go fetch whatever you two were looking for. I am actually working on something.”
“Am I to be banished for my baby brother’s crimes?” Haurchefant presses a hand to his heart. “Mistress Eluned, you wound me.”
“If I must be quiet and meek like a mouse, so must you. After all, I am the true leader of our brotherly trio.”
“You are right of course. I could never compare to you.” Haurchefant shakes his head. “Very well, Impetuous Youth. As mice scurry to cheese, let us go to the books we seek.”
“Ordered to seek,” Emmanellian mutters. “I’m to review Ymbelet’s Theorem of Command and deliver a report. As if we hadn’t put our schooling well behind us.”
Haurchefant does his best to soothe his brother. They quiet down at last: the younger man taking his volume off to his chambers, the elder settling into an armchair within eyesight of Nerys. (Far enough away that she may stop hiding her work.)
His novel is a work of popular fiction he’d garnered approval to stock here. No erotic scenes, but romantic enough. Should he ever get his eyes to stay on the page.
Alas, the white-haired sorcerer-king and his beloved princess and his soul-eating sword are no match for the Warrior of Light. The curve of her cheek. The braided coronet of purple and white hair, crowning her while the rest of her curls are a lovely raiment over her shoulders. The quirk to her dark, sweet lips.
She lifts those golden eyes, meeting him. If he were not already lovestruck and bedazzled, that gaze would ensnare him. He smiles and lifts his shoulders in a helpless shrug. Haurchefant isn’t sorry for lingering before a sunset; and that natural wonder is naught in comparison.
“My lord,” says Nerys, her voice carrying. “May I help you?”
“Nay, Mistress.” He shakes his head. “Simply exist as you are and I am satisfied.”
That is when Alphinaud bursts in, looking drawn and pale. If Haurchefant is annoyed at another interruption, that vanishes at the sight. He jumps to his feet. “My lad! Are you alright?”
The youth shakes his head. “Nerys. Tataru has grave news about General Aldynn. We must be off at once.”
She rises, hurrying over in a rush of white and red silk. In an instant she has changed from playfulness to resolute determination. Always ready to become The Warrior, his Nerys.
“Do you require anything?” He asks them. “You know my sword is yours, as is any resource at our disposal.”
Alphnaud shakes his head. “No one must see us enter Thanalan or leave. As soon as we cross back into Coerthas, we’ll send word.”
“I thank you. If you needs must bring the General somewhere safe, Camp Dragonhead’s doors are open to you.” If he must return to his command rather than fight at her side, at least he might be of some use to her. He loves–truly loves–his role but lately, his dearest wish is to be a shield at her back and a sword in her arsenal.
Ah, well, even Sorcerer-Kings do not get all they want. Why should he?
He dips into a sweeping bow to them both. Alphinaud returns it before rushing out, every emotion writ upon his usually perfect diplomat’s mask. Should the General die, the youth will carry it as he does everything else that occurred with the Braves. Haurchefant sends a prayer to Halone, asking for mercy on him.
Nerys takes his hand. Squeezes it. He squeezes it back. She smiles before picking up her skirts and rushing afterward.
It proves impossible to focus after that, even more than before. For a moment he entertains armoring up and following. This isn’t Dragonhead and so none of the knights with orders to keep him safe are here. (That time with Iceheart, Corentiaux had actually sat upon him.)
But they have asked he stay behind. So he will.
Haurchefant can take care of Nerys’ papers for her. He means to pointedly not look at the contents. He truly does. But he sees a piece of paper with his name on top, another with his last name, and his resolve crumbles.
The first piece of paper is titled “Minako” in large, neat letters. Beneath are names like Mamoru, Umino, Motoki. Her Yellow Chocobo is named Minako. Therefore, this is for…
The next sheet of paper confirms his suspicions. Under the heading “Black Chocobo” are the names Endymion, Starlight, Twilight, Onyx. Below that, a subheading “Elegance” with virtue monikers: Noble, Dignity, Charming.
And so, when he arrives to the last three papers (titled “Haurchefant”, “Greystone”, and “Fortemps”), he cannot contain his joy. The little note scribbled atop “Haurchefant” tickles him further. He gave you the Chocobo and you adore him. Will he be offended? He might be offended.
Haurchefant is certainly not offended.
He delights in the candidates, even some of the ones she crossed out. Sadly, there is no option for “Haurchefant” or “Haurchefant II.” I suppose that might get confusing.
Grinning, he picks up her leather folio and tucks her work inside. Hopefully, she will forgive his snooping because he has some ideas about this.
--
The Lord Commander’s bed at Camp Dragonhead may be the most comfortable place in Eorzea.
Nerys should get up to clean, brush her teeth, all the little nighttime rituals. But she is so pleasantly exhausted and the blankets are so soft and warm. She stretches, luxuriating in the feel of them against her skin. It has been a harrowing few days since her abrupt departure from Ishgard. But all is well and now, she feels nothing but comfort.
The bed could be warmer with her companion. But then she wouldn’t get to see his bare bottom as he slips into the bathroom. Halone must adore him to bless him with such a lovely rear.
“My love,” he calls after a while. “I have a confession to make.”
“Oh? Should I be worried?”
“I hope not.” He returns with a washcloth, his black silk robe barely closed against the cold. The fireplace sends flickers of light across his sculpted chest.  “I may be overstepping but...I must say that I truly adore the name Grey. Though Tempsy is charming. Also, may I suggest Haurchon?”
What does he...oh. Oh! Nerys groans and buries her face in a pillow. She had been in such haste to rescue Raubahn–rightfully so!–that she had left all her papers there. All face up, all in the open.
The mattress dips as Haurchefant sits beside her. One hand strokes her hair, gentle and sweet. “I should not have pried but Nerys–my dearest one–I am utterly and truly touched by the idea. Though of course, if you pick a different name I will not be offended.”
“I only...well, I wouldn’t have him if not for you,” she mutters into the pillow, heat filling her face. “And if not for him, we wouldn’t have been in Coerthas that day.”
“So we owe him a great honor, for bringing us together at last.” His lips press against her bare shoulder. “Of course, the truest honor would be to name him after yourself-”
She turns then, mortification at last leaving her. Cups his face in her hands. “I am not playing this game where we go on for hours about who is better.  Let’s agree it’s you and end it there.”
“Oh my love,” he sighs, bending down to her. “Though you are wrong, I must obey if it proves to you the depth of my regard.”
“I know another way you could prove it,” she says, pulling him atop her.
--
Grey likes his name.
