Chisaki let out a breath she was holding.
She entered her name into the raffle. Now, fate would decide whether she was picked or not. Yasuhiro and Celeste had entered their names months before her and had yet to be selected for each full moon after. Her hands shook as she walked away, her back to the burlap sack hanging outside the village chief's house.
“You’ve seen plenty of people do this during your life. How are you nervous?” Celeste scoffed.
“You weren’t nervous knowing you have no say in what happens?” Chisaki’s brows creased. Almost everyone at the ceremony was nervous before and after they were chosen.
“No, there are plenty of people whose names are still there years after they’ve turned 21, people who have forgotten they even put their name in the raffle.” Celeste could only assume her words were comforting.
“Hey, it’s not like they’ll pick you, right? Your birthday was three days ago. That would be some shitty luck.” Yasuhiro scratched the back of his head.
“You’re the fortune teller! Give me my fortune. Let me know if something will happen!” Chisaki clasped her hands together, pleading with her friend.
“I don’t know… My predictions have a thirty percent chance of being right and… seventy percent chance of being wrong…”
“I don’t care! It’s something! I can’t just leave Leon when we started dating months ago.”
“Ugh, I still don’t understand why you’re dating him when he has a reputation for being a heartbreaker across the village.” Celeste smoothed down her clothing.
“He’s cute…”
“I’ll admit we have different tastes.”
“The full moon is in a couple of weeks. The least we can do is live it up until then.” Yasuhiro shrugged.
“I guess you’re right,” Then it dawned on her. “What do you mean live it up? I’m not going to die!”
“Who knows, the people who enter the forest never return.” Yasuhiro chuckled awkwardly.
“Duh, it’s called Wolfswälder. Of course, no one will ever come back.”
“People are dying?!” Chisaki gasped, eyes blown wide.
“No, no, no! Yasuhiro chuckled awkwardly. She’s just making assumptions, right Celeste?” He elbowed the goth girl.
“I mean, why else wouldn’t they come back?” Celeste shrugged. “It’s not like they were banished. This full moon ritual has been going on forever.”
“Whatever, I’ll just try to forget this.”
Chisaki turned on her heel and walked away. She was looking for Leon, the chief’s son. He’d know how to comfort her. She could already imagine him taking her into his arms and telling her everything was okay. He’d hold her tight in his big, strong arms, and she would feel protected and safe. Celeste’s words about the ritual were dwindling, and she walked around looking for him, asking the baker and the kids about it by the fountain in the center of the village.
The village was at the center of a forest that went on for miles. No one ever dared to go outside the perimeter. There were rumors that, at one time, monsters and humans lived in harmony in the forest, but because of something that happened, the humans were pushed to the center by the monsters and terrorized and preyed on. The first village chief had made a truce with whoever had led the monsters, the ritual being upheld for years after the first village chief died. The monsters didn’t enforce the promise to terrorize the villagers anymore and grew antsy and bloodthirsty, leading to more sacrifices during the ritual. Whoever was chosen had to throw something they cherished most into the purple flame before being led to the village perimeter.
Typically, during midday, Leon would be outside tossing around some ball made of leather with his friends; she would be able to easily find them because of their hooting and hollering in joyous glee. Chisaki hugged her arms around herself and sat down at the fountain when she circled to the center of the village. If it were any other circumstance, she would be okay not knowing where he was and would hang out with her friends instead, but her friend's words weren’t as comforting as he could be. Chisaki swore she heard his laughter and turned around. Leon had his arm slung around Sayaka, who was laughing and giggling. They had been best friends since he was little. When Sayaka noticed Chisaki, she stopped laughing and removed his arm around his shoulders, pointing Chisaki out. For some reason, Sayaka had a problem with her even though she never really had a problem with how close Leon and Sayaka were.
“Hey, Chisaki!” Leon smiled and made his way over to her. “Happy birthday! I can’t believe you’re twenty-one. Have you put your name in the raffle yet?”
“Thanks,” She wasn’t going to tell him her birthday was three days ago. “I just put my name in the raffle.”
“Hey, maybe we both get chosen to go to the woods. That would be hella awesome, wouldn’t it?”
“Yeah, about that– “
“It’s an honor to speak with the monsters we live with, don’t you think? And if we both got to live out there, we could have some privacy, if you know what I mean. Leon winked at her with a laugh.
“Yeah, yeah… I’m feeling a little bit nervous, maybe even afraid…”
“Why would you be nervous? It’s a random raffle. Does everyone have a chance of getting picked?”
The sides of her face were heating up. Her fear was stupid. Of course, it would get laughed at. What was she thinking? He was right; everyone had the same chance of getting picked up in the raffle and sent to the surrounding forest. She laughed it off awkwardly.
“Yeah, yeah. You’re right!”
“See? There’s nothing to fear. It’s all going to be okay. Now, I promised Sayaka I would take her out to lunch. Bye!”
“Wait, but– I can come too.” She sighed and watched him walk away.
Oh, Leon was so very wrong. Chisaki was the second person picked from the raffle. Standing in the small tent behind the stage at the center of the village, she kept looking over the white dress she was told to wear. The fabric was sheer in some places, showing off certain… aspects. She pulled her hair into a tight ponytail and set her clothes on the stool in the corner. She couldn’t bring anything when she was escorted to the perimeter. Her parents weren’t in the crowd when she got picked, and she wouldn’t be there when she threw in her most treasured object. Smoothing down the billowy white dress, she pulled the curtain back and stepped out. Locking eyes with the boy that was chosen, she could see the fear on his face. He looked as scared as she felt. Before she could tell him that nothing wrong would happen, four village guards came over with their hulking armor and large polearms.
She chucked in the love letter Leon had given her months ago, watching the paper curl in on itself and burn with the coals, the purple flame engulfing it. As a child, she dreamed of freely going into the forest whenever she pleased. It was full of wildlife, and the ground beneath her feet was damp. She took one last look behind her, the guards blocking her way back in. The hair on the back of her neck stood up, and she looked back out into the forest. Something was watching her. She could feel it. The need to run vibrated in her bones, but she continued to walk carefully, paying attention to each noise around her. She was alone. The other person chosen in the raffle was escorted to the other side of the village. Coming across a river, she knelt and let the cool water run across her hands; she touched her hands to her neck, hopefully calming down her racing heart.
Something was breathing down her neck, and she froze. Looking up, she noticed a big, furry creature staring at her. Its dog-like nose flared, and the ears on its head twitched. Its massive claws hung at its sides. She never knew that the creatures in the woods were monsters like this. Whatever was behind her shoved her down into the river as it leaped over her. The furry creature went down with a thud, and she could hear growling and snarling. Propping herself up, she pulled herself out of the river. The wet sheer fabric clung to her form. A shadow loomed over her as she tried to wring the dress out.
“Leave.”
“Excuse me?”
A big, ash-blonde-furred wolf was standing over her. Blue eyes peering down at her with disgust. The wolf did not look happy either; its fur was ruffled, with a few cuts on their body. The wolf scoffed.
“You heard me. You’ll keep attracting them, so just leave.”
“Attract what?”
“Other werewolves. I would like to live in solitude, thank you.”
“Werewolves? But– Those don’t exist.”
“You’re looking at one.” The werewolf snarled.
“Yeah, well, you look like a fluffy teddy bear.”
“Whatever. I’m not saving you again if they come after you.”
“Come after me?”
The werewolf turned away, ignoring her question and walking away.
“Ugh, fine. It’s not like I need protection.” Chisaki brushed herself off and walked off in the other direction.
She walked for what felt like hours. The sun was starting to go down. Her feet were tired, and she was beginning to feel a chill. The wet dress didn’t help protect her from the cold temperature of the night. She couldn’t help but think her friends were having a great time at home, in their warm beds, talking to their parents and not having a care in the world. She would give anything to be back in the village again. The foliage rustled, and she stopped dead in her tracks; looking around and squinting, her ears picked up the faint sound of rain. If her dress weren’t dry now, it certainly wouldn’t be dry with the rain. Something in the distance rustled again, and the hair on her arms stood on end. She was being watched again. After running into that werewolf, she kept her eyes open and surveyed the forest for whatever may be lurking nearby. She could see a large shadow in the distance.
She kicked off running, Not keen to find out if it was a threat. There was a howl in the distance, and something was running behind her.
“We must stop meeting like this. You’re annoying, and mortals get easily injured.”
She squeaked when she collided with a furry wall.”
“What are you doing here?” She stumbled back.
“Looking for food,” The werewolf grumbled out.
“If we’re already acquainted, then my name is Chisaki.”
“I don’t care. Come with me.”
“Hey, hey! Woah– “
The werewolf picked her up and walked off, his tail swaying slowly. He carried her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. She was set down on a bed of moss and comfortable foliage. She squeaked and covered herself.
“Please don’t eat me! I’m sorry!”
“I don’t eat annoying humans; I’m not a cannibal.”
“Wh– Huh?”
“I’m half human, half monster. Of course, that would be cannibalism.”
She felt the moss on her legs and pressed her knees against her chest.
“What am I lying on?”
“My nest.”
“Nest?!”
“It’s a bed. What? I had to make do with what I have out here.”
“So, are you going to kill me?”
“No.”
“Then why did you save me?”
“Because I have some humanity left.”
“Oh.”
“Seeing as the others will hunt you throughout the forest, you can stay here.”
“But you don’t like me…”
“I’d rather not indirectly be the reason you die.”
“Okay…” she shivered, her teeth chattering. “ I uh—I thought monsters were horrible.”
“You’re cold.” He glanced at her, hovering on the farthest edge of the nest away from her.
“It’s okay, it’ll be fine.”
“Stand up.”
“No, no. It’s okay.”
“Fine.”
Her eyes widened when his large frame leaned over hers. His claws ripped through her wet dress in the blink of an eye. He didn’t care about her trying to cover herself or looking away in embarrassment.
“There, you won't be cold.”
“What the hell?!”
“It was wet. You were cold. Something wet will make you colder.”
“That’s it?”
“I don’t care what you look like. I do care about you not getting sick.”
Chisaki bit the inside of her cheek. Now, she wondered why the raffle existed if the creatures in the forest weren’t killing people. The werewolf’s ears flattened against his head.
“Byakuya.”
“Huh?”
“My name is Byakuya.”
“Do you mind if I ask you something?”
He shrugged.
“Do you know why the village sends two people into the forest for every full moon?”
“To build the population.”
“Pardon?”
“Mating.”
“Come again,”
“So we can breed because the humans in the village exterminated us in waves a long time ago.”
“You’re supposed to– To breed me?” Chisaki scooted to the other side of the nest.
“If I wanted to, yes, but I’m not one for the thrill of the chase. Especially when they cry and scream.”
“So, is that why you saved me?”
“Yes.”
“I- I’m going to bed.”
She turned over, her back facing the werewolf. She wasn’t going to bed, but she didn’t want to discuss it with him anymore. The concept made her uneasy, a pit forming at the bottom of her stomach.
In the morning, she got up and felt grimy all over; turning over, she nudged Byakuya, who was curled up like he was taking a nap but turned over, wide awake.
“What?”
“I’m going to go to that river and bathe.”
“Ugh, why? You’ll just wash off the forest scent, making it easier for them to smell you.”
“I don’t care. I feel gross and disgusting.”
“Alright, go bathe yourself.” He turned back over, his tail thumping against the nest.
Chisaki sneaked out of the cave and over to the river. She grimaced when she saw all the mud and grass splotched over her skin. She certainly needed to wash it off. Humming to herself as she washed away the dirt and grime with the cold running water, she was utterly oblivious to the forest around her. The forest scent and part of Byakuya’s scent were getting cleaned off her. Even though the cave was close to the river, he could smell it from miles away. His eyes opened, and he groaned, pulling himself from his shallow slumber.
“Come on,” He grabbed her wrist. Looking off in the distance.
“I’m not done– “
“You’re shivering. Let’s go.”
“How would I dry off– “
“I don’t know. For all I care, you can use the scraps of your dress or some leaves.”
“You know, I’m getting sick of your apathetic attitude.”
He snarled, bearing his teeth.
“I don’t want to get too attached. Now, come.” He pulled her away, ears standing tall. He could hear something breathing in the distance.
There wasn’t anything in the cave to dry herself off, so Byakuya begrudgingly said she could cuddle him until she felt warmer. Subconsciously, she nuzzled into his fur, closed her eyes, and decided that she would just take a nap if they weren’t going to move. Byakuya’s breath hitched in his throat; her scent was all around him like a gas he couldn’t escape. His ears pressed flat against his head. He wanted to stay like this forever. Hold her. Fuck her. Breed her– He shook his head. No, that was wrong. He wasn’t going to take part in this stupid, belittling human ritual.
“I’m sorry, is this uncomfortable?”
“No.”
“Your voice cracked.”
“Are you dry?”
“Mostly, yeah.”
“Good, you’re suffocating me.”
He initially meant to move her off of him instead of rollover. Her body tensed up, and the sides of her face grew warm. Byakuya’s mouth went dry, staring at her lying beneath him. Her hair fanned out around her head, mostly damp.
“Am I still suffocating you?” Her voice was quiet.
“I didn’t mean– No, this isn’t– “
“I mean, isn’t this the point?” Chisaki shrugged, looking anywhere but at the werewolf hovering over her.
“I- These rituals are stupid.”
When she lay on top of him, his fur was warm and inviting. She wanted to cuddle him forever. It was so comfortable. Now, the atmosphere was much warmer in a different way.
“You smell like me…” He mumbled.
Instinctively, he licked her cheek, looking at her for a response. When she didn’t pull away or visibly look disgusted, he continued to lick her bare skin. Perhaps she tasted as lovely as she smelt. Her skin was salty, almost like licking a salt lamp. Her hips were little in his big furry hands, and he held her down as he flicked his tongue out. Swiping it against her clit. He looked up for a reaction. Her head was thrown back. His tongue was enormous, like sandpaper, all the more stimulating than a human tongue. She whined and tried to closer her legs but wound up squeezing her legs against his head as he mercilessly fucked his tongue into her sopping wet hole. Licking and slurping up any juices he could. He hoped that this would be enough to save him, but Byakuya couldn’t help but think of fucking her. Knotting her and watching her stomach swell slightly.
“Wait, wait, that’s not going to–”
Her words were ripped from her when he pushed his cock in. He filled her up. Instead of giving her a moment to catch her breath, he bullied his cock into her. Snarling and growling, he was like an animal in heat, probably because he was in heat. She was his fucktoy, a ragdoll he could use whichever way he pleased. His scent was going to be all over her now. The base of his cock expanded, and he howled, throwing his head back. His nails dug into her skin. The tip of his dick brushed against her womb. His knot stuck them together, trapping his cum.
Coming down from his high, he couldn’t move. They were stuck together until the swelling went down. Chisaki’s eyes glazed over, staring at the ceiling. She tried to move, but a sharp pain shot through her spine.
“Ow, ow, ow– “
“I don’t– sorry, we can’t move yet.”

Byakuya and Ichigo, on the early days of beginning their second child's conception through the Reishi Pod...
They show the Pod to 2 year old Minako and 3 year old Ichika. They explain that, in nine months, a new baby will come out of it.
Ichika: "Where is the button to choose?"
Byakuya: "The button?"
Ichika: "Yes. The button to choose what we want!"
Minako: "Can I choose? Pwease?"
Byakuya: "What? No!"
Ichigo: *Taking a step back and chuckling.*
Byakuya, glaring at his husband: "That's not how it works, girls. You don't choose. There's no button." turns to the girls, smiling.
Minako: "Awww... I wan' choose a bwothe..."
Byakuya picks up his daughter: "Sweetie... That's not important. A sister or a brother. You're still going to be the older sister and that is very important. Besides, isn't it best if it's a surprise?"
Minako, shrugging: "Okaaay......."
Ichika, unconvinced, going around the Reishi Pod....
Byakuya: "Hands behind your back, little girl."
Ichika: "I wasn't touching anything!"
Ichigo, having enough: "Okay! Who wants to go with me to the 11th to visit uncle Kenny?"
Ichika and Minako, jumping up and down: "Me, me, me!"
Ichigo: "Go put your sandals on and wait for me on the engawa."
The girls run to the engawa.
Ichigo: "You're such a liar, Byakuya... You can program the Pod. That's how you were initially conceived."
Byakuya, shrugging and walking towards Ichigo, wrapping his arms around his husband's waist: "They don't need to know that. And we don't need to choose what we want to have."
Ichigo: "True. I wasn't going to ask for such a thing... Now, if you don't mind, I'm going to take the girls to my Squad."
Byakuya: "Please try to avoid Zaraki running around with the girls on his shoulders. Again."
Ichigo: "I make no promises."

Chapter 1 - Like A Camellia, Unnoticed
Summer of 1625 - Kuchiki Estate, Main House
Surrounded by golden chrysanthemums and red camellias, a small child grasped onto her yukata, stifling giggles. Careful not to rustle the flowers around her, the little girl slowly poked her head through a camellia bush—intense red hair blended with the camellias, aiding her disguise. Wide blue eyes scanned the garden, searching for her seeker, an equally small child with black hair. Her favorite part of this boy was his eyes; they reminded her of the smooth grey river stones lining the koi ponds near the west corner of the garden. Puffing her cheeks in impatience after a few minutes, the girl rolled onto her heels, rustling the camellia bush in the process. Patting her green yukata of pollen, the little red-haired girl stood up, a small frown on her face. Plucking a camellia and placing it in her hair, the child trotted towards the main house.
As she neared the main house, the girl heard a commotion. She recognized one of the voices as her seeker; with a pout, she stomped over to the right side of the house. Rounding the corner, the red-haired girl was pushed to the ground in an instant by another blur. With a grunt, the girl fell onto her rear, the camellia in her hair cascading onto the dirt. Tears welled in the girl’s eyes, building up until spilling over her lashes and onto her yukata. Shuffling of feet came behind the girl, causing her to turn her head while wiping her tears with her sleeve. Behind her was a tall elderly man with long grey hair, a matching mustache, and the same grey eyes as her friend. With a sigh, he reached down and picked up the girl, wiping her tears with his thumb.
“Byakuya!” he called out, the boy stopping in his tracks with wide eyes. “Come here.”
“Yes, grandfather?” Byakuya questioned, innocent. He wondered why his friend was held in his grandfather's arms.
“A man, especially a future clan leader, does not treat a lady with disrespect. You were careless of your surroundings and pushed Kazue to the ground,” his grandfather explained. “You must apologize to Kazue.” With that, Kazue was placed gently on her feet in front of Byakuya.
With small sniffles, Kazue looked at Byakuya expectantly. Her blue eyes glistened with remaining tears while Byakuya’s lips formed a thin line. Byakuya looked to the side and mumbled, his grandfather cleared his throat in response. Facing Kazue and taking a deep breath, Byakuya spewed “I’m sorry’ quickly.
With a deep sigh, Byakuya’s grandfather patted Kazue’s head gently. “That will do for now, Byakuya. Keep in mind, you are to act like a noble.” Seeing a dark-skinned girl in the distance, “As for you, Yoruichi-hime, you will do well to stay out of trouble, or should I report your behavior to your family?” Yoruichi's gold eyes widened and bowed in apology.
“Now I must return to the barracks. I need not remind you to treat Kazue fairly, Byakuya. She is the granddaughter of a close friend of our family and Kazue is to be welcomed by our family, not ostracized. Kazue, your father is inside to take you home.” With that, he took Kazue’s hand and led her inside the main house.
With a frown, Byakuya picked up the camellia from the ground, its red petals dulled and wrinkled.

Spring rolled through the Seireitei, the infinite trees of cherry blossoms littered almost every barrack. The pink petals were almost everywhere, some piles covering an entire road or entering your clothes in locations you probably wouldn’t notice until you undressed; it was insane.
The Kuchiki manor, known for their large cherry blossom trees, the servants hated this time of year. The grueling hours that it would take while cleaning up the small pink petals all throughout the season were going to be long and strenuous.
A young male servant wiped his brow as he used a broom to sweep the petals into as a place to lean against a moment. There was a bag by his feet, it was used to push the petals into and be properly disposed of.
“Another year of these little things.” He mutters, disgruntled.
The sound of panting and running feet came towards the man, and he turned his neck to see another male servant coming up to him. The running man comes to a stop in front of him, his sweated brow noticeable as he catches his breath.
“Did you hear?” He questions. The one with the broom raises a brow.
“Hear what?”
“Lady Kuchiki has just interrupted a meeting with the elders!” He tattles and broom man gapes in disbelief.
“I know Lady Kuchiki is quite bold, but with the elders?” Broom man says perplexed.
🪷🪷🪷🪷🪷🪷🪷🪷🪷🪷🪷🪷
This entire meeting was ridiculous.
The setting was a quiet and uncomfortable affair, the room’s atmosphere growing thick in tension.
The Kuchiki elders had arrived early in the morning to discuss some unimportant matters related to the clan’s future. Their ‘visits’ were always never what they were really there for originally, it was just to keep an eye on the current clan head.
Byakuya sat on his knees, poised and quiet as he was taught when in the presence of the elders and his chronic frown stared bored at the three elders sitting in front of him.
His grandfather, Ginrei, sat on the far right of the room, watching him closely to make sure he didn’t say something out of place. The old woman in the middle was his great, great aunt on his mother’s side of the family. The old bat, was in control of the family affairs and whom you would meet to ask for marriage into the Kuchiki clan. The final old man on the left, a distant uncle on his father’s side controlled all the finances and wages of the servants who worked for the family and was head of the employment department for the clan.
“It would seem that once again you have allowed the mansion to be run amuck of any captain and lieutenant of the Gotei 13. Surely, you forget that the Kuchiki manor is not a ‘hangout’ spot.” The old aunt berates Byakuya.
Byakuya almost rolled his eyes. It was not his fault that the Shinigami Women’s Association kept appearing in his home, or the fact that they kept finding different places to have their little meetings within his manor.
“I’m fully aware that my home is not a place for parties and solicitors. I have already spoken my complaints to the head captain.” Byakuya answers back in annoyance.
“Typical. Yamamoto is not going to worry about such things such as that, especially if it comes to our family.“ the old uncle said acidly.
“And what of this woman of yours? Has she finally put her family’s affairs aside to begin her duties here as the Lady of the House?” The aunt speaks up again, a brow raised.
“My wife,” Byakuya corrects the woman with a glare.
“Has no reason to worry about what happens within the house. Such duties are historic and tired. She has helped more beyond our home than any women in the past. You forget so quickly that Hisana was the same way.” Byakuya defends and the aunt scoffs with a turn of her cheek.
“She surely spends money like she’s not the Lady of the House.” The old uncle said.
“Money that is hers alone. Money she made without the help of her family. Do we forget about what family Y/n reigned from?” Byakuya questions and the elders are quiet.
“My wife’s ‘duties’ is what she will do on her own. She’s done more for our clan and her’s that you still do not know your place.” The elders frown in annoyance.
“Watch your mouth, boy.” The aunt bites but Byakuya continues.
“Y/n has made it clear that she will do what needs to be done as the Lady of the House but she is much more important than being stuck here to only care for the household and make children. We had agreed to such a thing even before we had married. It would seem you all are becoming increasingly involved with the wrong things when you have yet to explain what you are really here for.” Byakuya said.
The elders are quiet for minute until his grandfather cleared his throat and stared down his grandson.
“Our concerns are not with you, it is-“
“You need to persuade your wife into allowing our clan to have control in her clan’s influence of the royal family.” The old uncle interrupted, his grandfather glares at the uncle.
Byakuya’s eyes narrow further into his brow.
“And just what will this greedy idea help with our clan?” Byakuya questions.
“How little you think of your own clan’s future boy. If we have just one person from the royal family on our side, we would be even more powerful than we already are.” Uncle says enthusiastically.
“My wife, nor I, will be made pawns to your greedy little game. We already are the most prominent noble families in the Seireitei, and I refuse to be involved into something that could possibly hurt our family.” Byakuya said firmly.
“You inconsiderate little-“
The sound of the shoji doors slam open, and a menacing shadow encases Byakuya’s back. The four people turn to see who had inappropriately interrupted their private meeting and they gasped quietly.
Y/n Kuchiki glared dangerously at the elders, and walked inside the tatami room her glare growing much more heated as she came closer.
Standing next to her husband, Y/n simply glances at her beloved a loving smile thrown his way then turns to the elders, folding her hands into her white and red shihakusho. Her zanpakuto hanged low on her back as she gives the elders a quiet look over.
“You. How dare you interrupt a private meeting, you must be summoned by us to-“
“It is best that you shut the fuck up right now.” Y/n cursed Uncle who gasped in disbelief.
“I think you forget who you are talking to because you have clearly lost your mind.” Y/n speaks in a calm manner.
“What-“
“Have you forgotten that Byakuya is not one of your servants but in fact the clan heir to the Kuchiki noble family? He is not some minion that will follow your orders without hesitation, he is the man who will be running this family until all three of you are six feet under, I’m actually quite surprised you haven’t reunited with your friend Methuselah yet. Kami forbid, they take you first Genrei-san.” Y/n says and the aunt is quick to stand to her feet, her face red in anger.
“You are the Lady of the House you have no power or voice to talk to us this way!”
“Oh yes, I am the Lady of the House and with my limited power, I have the power to have you removed from my house if I so choose. Right?” Y/n leans in close to the aunt with a dark expression.
“Since you all are so interested in my resume I do not mind, helping you remember who I am.” Y/n’s eyes have darkened as her butterfly locs created a curtain around her face so only her face was visible to the woman before her.
“I am not only the Lady of the House,” Y/n takes a step closer and the aunt begins walking backwards.
“I am one of the heiresses of the Shihōin clan,” another step is made.
“The oldest daughter of Ichibē Hyōsube,” she takes two more steps.
“And a captain of Squad Zero, part of the Royal Guard. I think I have the right to say and do whatever the hell I want. And since I have heard what you have been saying to my beloved,” the aunt’s back finally hit the wall behind her.
“I have made it aware to my family that the current elders of the Kuchiki clan will not have the right to attend an audience with any royal member of the royal family. That way you all will have no influence over them, no matter whose ear you whisper into.” She says.
“What?” Ginrei gasps.
“You can’t do that!” Uncle speaks up his fists balled.
“I just did.” She giggled and turns to her husband. Walking over to him, Y/n bends over and grabs his chin, which was gaped slightly and kisses him, tongue and all earning a little groan from the man once she pulled away.
“We are the elders of the family, we have to do what we must to protect the family.” Y/n bursts in a laugh as she stands back up and turns to the elders once more.
“Protect the family? By doing what? Getting your little grubby hands onto the money you would be receiving for the next thousand years? More land to cement your name into or I know,” Y/n squares her shoulders.
“You want to have the power to finally run the clan without Byakuya’s presence, so he can be your little puppet.” She says and the elders are quiet.
“Your intentions were clear as soon as I was introduced to Byakuya and I had already put in place a fail safe just in case something like this happened once I married him.” Y/n said and moved to sit in her husband’s lap who became startled out of his shocked stupor to adjust his knees to become crisscrossed for her curvy body to sit properly in his lap.
“It’s a shame really, you poked your noses in business that wasn’t even yours to bother. What you should be worried about is how the servants here are scared silent because if they speak out of turn they are punished harshly for it. But don’t worry, I have that handled since it would seem their employer needs some reminder of how a boss should act.” Y/n throws at Uncle.
“What do you mean by that?” He demands.
“Don’t worry about that. For now, it looks like I have to fulfill my duties as Lady of the House.” She clears her throat.
“Since you’ve finally shown your true colors, I’m sure you’ll you all will be receiving a little letter from the Royal Family in a few days time.” Snapping her fingers, the shoji doors were opened once more as the clan ninjas appeared in the doorway.
“I believe this meeting is adjourned, as The Lady of the House, you two,” she points to Aunt and Uncle who were still gaping at her.
“Are forbidden for a year from entering the mansion. We shall have meetings elsewhere if need be but, at this house, you are not welcomed. I wish I could make it permanent but, alas, I have such limited power. I’ll fix that soon enough.” Y/n smirks in their direction.
“Take them away please.” She orders sweetly and the ninja’s take the aunt and uncle whom of course, didn’t go away quietly. They cursed and swore at the waving woman sat on Byakuya’s lap and promised that she wouldn’t get away with this.
Once they were gone, the shoji doors closed and the three remaining in the room became quiet.
Ginrei lets out a tremendous tired sigh and closes his eyes.
“Such a fuss. Surely that could have happened more appropriately.” Ginrei said and Y/n shrugs carelessly.
“They shouldn’t have said what they said. Besides, you were happy that those two were gone.” Y/n smirks and Ginrei gives her a small smile in return.
“Indeed, however, you will have to deal with them when the year is up. I’m sure you will handle that time much more carefully.” Ginrei watches a dark grin appear on the woman’s lips and he chuckles quietly standing to his feet with a slight groan.
Y/n removed herself from her husband’s lap and walked the old man to the door. Byakuya finally found the strength and mind to work his legs to help him stand and walked behind them.
“I shall take my leave then. Lady Kuchiki,” he bows to her as Y/n bowed as well.
“You must join me for tea sometime, Lord Genrei.” She offers and the old man gives a small smile again.
“Soon. I do hope to see my great-grandchildren for a bit longer the next time I come by.” He says and Y/n chuckles.
“Of course.” Ginrei turns to his grandson and bows to him as Byakuya bowed in return.
Once he left, the married couple was all that was left and Y/n nearly skipped over to her still baffled husband.
“Well, I’m glad that is over. You know you should invite me more to the meetings, it was fun seeing them get all angry.” Y/n laughs and her husband slowly turns his head to look at her, his resolve finally returning to him.
“I cannot believe you just did that.” He finally speaks and Y/n shrugs.
“Not like you didn’t know I was this way before you married me. Maybe we will have some peace and quiet around here, you know they have been coming by twice every month?” Y/n groaned in annoyance.
Byakuya was quiet as he stared at his wife, his frown still in place and she sighed absentmindedly fixing his white scarf to avoid any eye contact with him.
“Please don’t be mad. I was just trying to help, I didn’t mean to upset you.” She mutters.
Byakuya grabbed her hands on his scarf and brought them to his lips to kiss. Looking into her eyes, he gave her a sideways grin and used his right arm to pull her close by the waist.
“Never think of such a thing, my love. I’m proud of what you did, how they were talking about you in such a way was unacceptable and you stood up for not only yourself but our family.” He tells her and a smile appears on her lips.
He gently pulled a butterfly loc and Y/n giggled.
“I love you.” He utters.
“I love you, beloved.” She says and pulls him down into a kiss.
“Shall we go and meet the children for lunch?” He asked once they part and his wife nods.
“Oooh, I hope it’s tempura, I’ve been craving it since I came in here.” She said and Byakuya smiles as he places a hand on her rounded belly. Pregnant once again and Y/n swearing to the man that it would be their last.
He hoped it would be another boy, and if it were a girl he knew she would have him wrapped around her little finger. For their first set of children it was twin boys, whom looked so much like him when he was younger but had their mother’s personality.
“Come husband, maybe afterwards, we can have some personal time together.” She smirks seductively as she pulled him by the hand out the shoji doors.
Byakuya only gives her a smile as he’s pulled down the engawa to their personal quarters.
