aot characters finding out you and levi are together
ft: eren, armin, mikasa, erwin, hange
cw: fluff, slightly suggestive
eren
you’re with eren, cleaning one of the rooms at headquarters as part of the daily schedule. This sucks, you’re thinking as you aggressively move the mop back and forth on the wooden floor. there’s barely even a speck of dirt here but levi insists that every single room has to be deep cleaned every two days.
“ow, my legs hurt.” you mumbled subconsciously while mopping. it’s been three hours and your losing touch with reality due to the exhaustion and boredom of scrubbing out a room that’s barely filthy.
“why? you been up to something?” he smirks. You roll your eyes at his childish humour, immediately understanding what he meant.
“it’s not like that.”
“then why’re you blushing?”
“…”
“is this about captain levi?” you nearly choke on your own saliva when he says his name. and coincidentally, levi happened to be walking right through the doorway just as he said it. His eyebrows are raised, glancing between you and eren before he confirms it.
“indeed it is.” he responds for you, ruffling your hair as his other hand does a quick sweep of the underside of the table.
“not bad, im satisfied.” He leaves the room smiling and an awkward silence follows.
“knew it!”
armin
Levi’s in the office alone with armin, who’s explaining the details about possible hot spots for titan activity. There’s a map of shiganshina sprawled out on the table, both of them are leaning over it while discussing when you walk into the office to get more ink from levi’s desk drawer. You stroll by the two of them and levi tenses when he feels your body brush against his back.
“don’t mind me just getting something,” you casually rummage through his drawers and fish out the little glass pot.
Just as you’re leaving you make sure to walk past the captain again, planting a small kiss on his soft cheek before continuing on your way out without saying anything. He’s blushing like crazy, grey eyes wide as he freezes. damn it, when will you ever stop teasing him around the other cadets?
“c- captain?” the poor guy was so confused. since when were you and him a thing?
“pretend you never saw that,” he takes a deep breath, averting the conversation back to the titans. Armin is smart, and he knows how to read the room. so they continue with their little discussion until it’s time to leave for training again.
“how long?” he asks quietly as they’re walking out of the office.
“few months. keep it between us.”
“you have my word.”
mikasa
you’re in levi’s office, sitting on his desk with his hands on both sides of your waist. He’s kissing you slowly, smiling against your lips as his tongue slips into you and brushes against yours. The room is dim, the only light coming from a single oil lamp, heightening the romantic atmosphere as his hands begin exploring your body. He’s peeling off your jacket, folding it nicely on the side as he relishes in the feeling of your fingers trailing through his hair.
Meanwhile mikasa is walking down the hallway with a document for him to sign. Of course, you both miss the small knock on the door since you’re busy with each other. She opens the door so silently neither of you notice her presence, but when she sees you on his table, the captain standing in front of you..
oh.
She kinda just stands there with no emotion on her face, blinks once and closes the door. So that’s what it’s like to be in love. she makes her way down the opposite side of the hall, pulling her scarf up to cover her cheeks as she feels them heating up.
hange
“four eyes,”
hange’s lab door slams open and they nearly drop the sample theyre holding with tweezers.
“got any gift ideas for relationship anniversaries?”
they freeze and drops the tweezers. “wait, is this about you and y/n? oooh- did you guys finally make things official?!”
“answer my question, shitty glasses.” levi rubs the bridge of his nose. He knew this was gonna happen, but he was too desperate to care. your two month anniversary was tomorrow and he had absolutely no idea what to get for you. but he wanted to give you something. anything.
“tell me how long this has been going on for first.”
“two months.”
hange starts squealing and he stands there, completely unamused, waiting for them to calm down and get a legitimate answer. Last month he picked you some flowers from the area outside the walls on your expedition, giving it to you as a little bouquet. Unfortunately they weren’t in season right now so..
“alright, well, do you have any ideas?
“if i did i wouldn’t be here.”
hange digs through the drawer and hands him a sparkly seashell. it has a cute blueish hue with crystals lining the edge. He looks at it in awe. they must’ve brought it back from the seaside when they were there earlier on.
“write her a sweet little letter to go with it. and have fun!” they wink and he wished there was a hole for him to bury into. Still, he takes the little seashell and leaves, crafting a heartfelt note in his head as he walks down the corridor.
“took him long enough.” hange whispers, overjoyed that he finally got the guts to confess to you.
erwin
“you’ve been acting suspicious lately.”
levi was standing in the doorway of erwin’s office, leaning on the frame with raised eyebrows. “how so?”
“don’t think i didn’t notice you ditched your dish duty after dinner last night.” erwin knows he loves cleaning. so why would he just disappear and leave hange to do everything? And with the way they were grumbling about it, he had to find out what’s going on.
levi rolls his eyes. the truth is, after dinner last night he escaped to his room with you so he could kiss you in peace- then you got carried away and he forgot to go back to the kitchen.
“come on, levi. tell me what’s going on.”
“fine, if you must know, I went to spend time with y/n.”
“oh?” now there’s a silly grin plastered on erwin’s face and he straightens up in his chair. His voice has gone a pitch higher as well, and it took levi everything not to walk up to him and smack that smile off his face. this is why he hates telling people you’re together- he’s never gonna escape the teasing that’ll follow him for months.
“got a problem?”
“no, not at all.”
erwin had an inkling that something’s been going on between the two of you for the longest time. and he’s not mad or anything. honestly, he’s just happy that after all this time, levi finally has someone to lean on.

C H A P T E R O N E – A U T U M N
The air was cold and crisp as it flowed through your window to the room you shared with Mikasa and Sasha. Summer is over and autumn has kissed the leafs on the trees.
Your body twitched as the air touched your skin. You made a mental note to start sleeping with a sweatshirt on. Sasha's snores filled the room while Mikasa slept silently.
You grab your watch from your nightstand and look at the time. 5:45 AM. You like to go on runs before breakfast to get your heart rate up and get some vitamin D before you had to attend training for your next mission.
After putting a t-shirt, shorts, and sneakers, you're out the door. The girls won't be up for another hour, so you didn't want to disturb them.
As you walk down the hallway, you put your hair in a ponytail, looking at your feet as you walk.
Then your body collided with another.
"Sorry." You say before you even look up at who's in front of you.
Captain Levi Ackerman.
"Sorry, Captain." You correct yourself, standing up straight.
"Where are you off to?" Levi brushed off his shirt, freshly pressed of course.
"I'm going on a run before breakfast."
Levi nodded in response, pushing past you towards Erwin's office. You sighed when you felt it was safe to, ignoring the pending thoughts in your head.
Levi Ackerman broke your heart, and you just super-glued the pieces back together.
─── ・ 。゚☆: .☽ . :☆゚. ───
Breakfast was usually the same in the scouts. Eggs, bread, and sometimes bacon. Everyone sits in what we call the "mess hall" and eats breakfast together before we put our bodies through the ultimate torture which is training to fight titans.
You find your usual table – Mikasa, Eren, Armin, Jean, Sasha, and Connie.
"Good morning!" Sasha said as she stuffed her face with eggs. "I heard you leave this morning, how was your run?"
"I'm surprised you could hear me over your snoring." You chuckle, pushing a piece of hair behind your ear. "It was good. The sun felt good this morning, I'm so glad its finally autumn."
"You go on runs every morning?" Jean asked, patting his mouth with his napkin.
"Yeah, I like to prepare myself for training for the day."
You didn't want to say that Levi gave you the idea to go on runs every morning. He goes on runs earlier than you, thank God, because you'd rather not have to see him more than you already do.
"I might have to start doing that. I feel like I run really slow." Eren nodded to himself. I knew Mikasa was now going to also be going on runs in the morning with Eren. They are inseparable.
"That's awesome." Jean smiled as he said your name. He's always been sweet and funny, especially with Connie. They make you laugh every day, even on your worst days.
You feel the hair on the back of your neck stick up, a wave of goosebumps to follow. Your ears honed in on the sound of his boots against the floor.
You hated that Levi had this affect on you.
He was talking to Hange about her latest Titan experiment, which he sounded less than thrilled about. You made a conscious effort not to look at him.
"Morning Captain!" Armin said with a smile. He's always so joyful in the morning, which is something you envy.
"Good morning brats." Levi nodded in approval, his eyes glazing over yours for a split second.
A memory of you waking up next to him flashed in your mind, a time when you accidentally fell asleep after spending the night talking, kissing, and obviously... other activities.
"You good?" Jean's voice was like a pin to your thoughts, popping them instantly. "You looked like you're spacing out."
"Yeah, I was just thinking about how good a cup off coffee would be right now. I'm gonna go get some." You get up from your seat, shaking off the feeling of your memory.
"I've never felt like this." Levi kissed your ear, his voice low in your ear. His hand snaked up your body to your face, taking your chin roughly in his hands and pulling it towards his face. "You're one of a kind."
Life without Levi has been tough, but you have gotten over the gash of heartbreak he left. Seeing him every day for training and missions has gotten easier, and thankfully he doesn't want to see you any more than you do him.
Or so you think.

“One Scoop for Two”
(a RivaMika drabble)
“Eren. You should try, too.”
Excited and curious for him to try the unfamiliar but delectable treat, Mikasa hands Eren an —what the Marleyans call — ice cream cone. After witnessing Connie’s and Sasha’s reaction, she  was quick to buy one for Eren and her to share, deep down hoping they’d also forget the task at hand for just a second out of their blood driven lives and actually bond.
Eren takes and observes it, also curious, albeit not in the same way Mikasa and the others were, because unlike them, and Mikasa knew, his mind is at an unreachable place where sharing ice cream with her is, quite frankly, of no importance.
“Ice cream?”
Mikasa blinks in surprise, caught off guard that he knew what it was called before she had the chance to tell him. “You knew?”
Eren’s features grow somber, an immediate indication that her hope for bonding has now become a cold case. She can almost hear the needle drop at the bottom of her glass heart.
“From the old man’s memory, that is.”
Mikasa doesn’t pry about his visions, knowing if she even asked, Eren would be too vague or reluctant to share. Instead she just nods, as she always does, her shadow standing besides his but never quite touching a constant remnant of what she will always be.
Levi, after great effort, finally manages to yank Hange away from their foolery of chasing cars and yelling at inanimate objects. How troublesome it was for the ship to dock at the busiest port in Marley. It’s enough to keep eye on the brats, what more having to babysit the Commander?
Speaking of brats, from a distance he sees the gloomy one standing with the reckless one, seemingly offering him ice cream with a faint glimmer of excitement in her eyes. Levi, against himself, because he’d rather blow their cover than admit that Ackerman looks rather appealing in her outfit, observes and sees the dejected slump of her shoulders as Eren just stares at now melting dessert in his hand.
He sees them chat for a moment. Eren’s facial features appear deep in thought. So deep in thought, in fact, he hands Mikasa back the ice cream cone mindlessly and excuses himself, walking away completely unaware to the confused and surprised gaze that follows him.
Normally he’d pay them no mind. He’s used to seeing Mikasa waste her valuable time and efforts on that kid. But there was something in the way her eyes glowered to the ground, a melancholic aura surrounding her like a dark cloud, that got under his skin, where his foot literally ached to kick something, someone, preferably the Titan boy himself, in order to ease the itch. And it’s when Levi sees Mikasa throw away the ice cream cone before walking away herself that he decides that he’ll definitely kick Eren’s ass. It only makes sense.
What doesn’t make sense, however, is Levi suddenly finding himself ordering one of those damn cold, much-too-sweet contraptions for himself and then walking hastily through an alien town in search for the woman worth a hundred soldiers turn damsel in distress. Yet, there he is, playing knight in shining armor for reasons he will never admit aloud.
Though his approach is everything but courteous and noble.
“Oi, gloomy brat.”
He finally finds her, sitting lonesome on a bench, staring blankly at nothing as she so often does when in her sunken moods. Mikasa doesn’t move an inch. He expected as much.
“Go away. I’m not in the mood.”
He expected that much, too. Even from behind, he knows exactly what sour face she’s making. But of course he doesn’t falter. He walks over to the bench and sits beside her. Levi notices her tense and he prepares himself.
She swiftly turns her head, “I said I’m not in the—!”
Levi shuts her up, softly pushing the tip of the ice cream against her mouth. Her eyes widen in shock, then it evolves into her piercing glare.
“C-Captain! What was that for?” she wipes her mouth and nose with the back of her hand.
“You wanted ice cream, didn’t you?” Levi asked plainly, pulling the cone back slightly, “I saw you dispose the one you bought earlier without even tasting it. What a waste.”
There’s a pregnant pause between the two. Mikasa then just sighs and turns away to look back at nothingness.
“I got it for Eren,” she says quietly, as though embarrassed to even hear herself say it aloud.
Ah, just as he thought. Seems Levi has a knack for accurate observation.
“I take it the brat didn’t want any?” Levi scoffs irately as he leans back against the bench, “Tch. Even common courtesy the boy lacks.”
“He’s just going through a lot,” she’s quick to defend.
Levi’s quicker to rebuttal, “And you’re not?”
His words came out much sharper than he intended, like a paper cut to the tongue, and he realizes from the slight fall of her face that she felt the sting too. He sighs. Sometimes even he forgets that underneath her steel armor is still a delicate heart.
“Look, I understand he’s on edge, as we all are by just simply being here, but…” Levi starts but then his eyes drift to the tip of the ice cream, noticing it’s starting to melt. He twitches slightly, not wanting it to get on his skin or clothes. But still, he continues before his train of thought goes away, “That doesn’t justify him taking you for granted. He was wrong for that, just as he was all the other times.”
She turns back to look at him with eyes he has seen so many times before; defeated but stubborn. It’s the same eyes she always has when she’s with Yaeger. Levi sees right through her, not because she makes it obvious, but because he’s the exact same, loving from afar but standing so close. He understands.
“It’s just ice cream, Captain,” she attempts to dispute.
And because be understands, he’s determined to make sure she does too.
“Is it really, Mikasa?”
She doesn’t respond, her vanquish clear. Mikasa knows that it isn’t just ice cream. He knows that she knows. It’s supposed to be something that binds them, to create a fond memory, to close the gap.
Just like the one melting in his hand.
They were never just ice cream cones to begin with.
After some silence, Mikasa nods, acknowledging his point as the storm in her eyes slowly comes to a calm.
“Just don’t stop yourself from enjoying something just because someone else doesn’t want to enjoy it with you, you gloomy brat,” Levi quickly reiterates as to not make the silence between them awkward.
But then his attention shifts and his brow furrows uncomfortably when be sees the trail of ice cream start flowing slowly down, his skin surely to meet its sticky demise.
Without any notice, Mikasa leans towards the ice cream he holds and uses her lips to take a generous bite at the top, stopping it from melting onto his hand. She shivers at its coldness, having swallowed too fast. Something fluttered within Levi’s chest at the sight, like that of a butterfly floating to the rhythm of his rapid heart, and he doesn’t know if he likes it or not.
Levi clears his throat, trying to ground himself away from the corners of his mind.
“Next time, just enjoy it yourself or find someone else who does,” he says, “Like right now. You’re not bad company.”
Levi tenses, realizing the weight of the last bit he said, subtly confessing that he enjoys her company, thus implying that he could be that person she can always eat ice cream with, should she ever wish…should that chance ever come again.
“Thank you, Captain,” she says warmly, a rare soft smiles on her lips that he never thought he’d have honor of witnessing himself, “For…the ice cream.”
It’s chaste when he smiles back, but ever the skilled one, and really, he should’ve known better, Mikasa catches it before he has the chance to make away with it. There’s a gleam in her eyes that, wishful thinking as it may be, tells Levi that the chance, someday, will indeed come again.
“You must’ve been watching me closely for you to notice all these things, Captain.”
To that, he only chuckles, taking the risk of not denying it. Levi tilts the ice cream cone towards her mouth, keeping his hand there for her convenience.
“Shut up and eat your ice cream, brat. It’s melting.”

levi x reader ~ Wanna try that again, sweetheart?

Tumblr media
word count: 3.4k
TW: physical and emotional abuse is heavy in this!!!!
Rating: 15+, nudity, violence, mentions of sex
————————————————————————
You and Reiner had a rather toxic relationship to say the least. You had met him during training and at first, he was very sweet and kind. Feelings eventually erupted and it’s currently been 6 months since you had started dating. He had hurt you emotionally, however you had felt obligated to stay with him due to his manipulative nature.
“Y/n, I don’t know why you put up with him,” your friend Eren argued from across the table. He leaned in towards you, “He’s kind of an asshole.”
You signed, having this conversation multiple times before. “Eren, just because he beats you in everything does not make him an asshole.”
“You know that’s not what I’m talking about, Y/n. Well, speak of the devil,” he muttered.
Just then, Reiner appeared in the dining hall and sat on the bench next to you, practically shoving Sasha over. Completely oblivious to the previous conversation, he placed an arm around your shoulders and began stuffing his face with bread.
Your friend group consisted of Eren, Armin, Mikasa, Jean, Connie, and Sasha. Reiner would often follow you around with Bertholdt at his heels. Despite everything going on, you found peace and comfort in times like these with the people you cared about.
You snapped out of your thoughts when Sasha let out a yelp.
“Dude give it back to her,” Connie said.
Reiner had grabbed a potato out of Sasha’s hand and started eating it. Sasha, being Sasha, went apeshit and jumped on his back with a fierce, animalistic growl.
You made eye contact with Eren from across the table and he gave a look as if to say “I told you so.”
The fight between Sasha and Reiner worsened and when you tried to break the two apart, you fell backwards onto the cobblestone floor. At the thud, everyone stopped and shifted their attention to you.
“Guys I’m fine, why are you all looking at me?” You questioned.
Your question was answered when you looked behind you to see a pair of black boots directly in front of your face. You looked up to meet the eyes of Captain Levi.
“Off the floor brat!” He shouted directly in your face.
You quickly jumped to your feet and saluted your Captain.
“What in the hell is going on here?!” he howled.
By now the dining hall was completely silent, as you began trying to explain the situation between Reiner and Sasha. “What’s that in your hand, L/n,” he interrupted you.
You looked down to see the half-eaten potato clutched in your fist.
***
That afternoon, Captain Levi had assigned you dining room cleaning duty. Levi had always been one to pick on you, you gave him the benefit of the doubt and just hoped he liked your cleaning technique.
“I want to see my reflection on this floor when you’re done with it,” he barked.
Continuing to scrub the floor, you muttered in response, “Why would you wanna see that.”
He stopped in his tracks and pivoted back towards you. His stomping echoed throughout the dining hall and you watched the vibrations ripple the soapy water. Did you just say that out loud? He looked shocked, yet puzzled as to why you would talk back to your superior.
“You just earned yourself laps until sundown, brat.” He exited the room, shaking his head.
You continued to scrub alone with your thoughts. Why would you let something like that slip? And you knew deep down you found the Captain to be extremely attractive, but you would never admit that to yourself. For one, you hate his guts, and he hates you too. And two, you’re in a healthy relationship right?
***
You gasped for air as you finished your last lap. The bold orange and pink clouds disappeared under the Earth, signaling for you to stop. You slowly trudged back to find your friends waiting outside for you.
“Here, Y/n.” Christa smiled, handing you a piece of leftover food. You happily accepted.
Someone tapped you on the shoulder, you turned to see Captain Levi extending a cup to you. “You need water, brat.” You hastily grabbed the cup and began chugging the liquid, forgetting about how incredibly parched you were. Did he just give you a cup of water? Nonsense, you told yourself. He would do that for anyone, it's just water and you’ve been running laps. You mentally slapped yourself for thinking it meant something deeper. But where was Reiner? He knew you’d been running laps.
 “It’s past curfew, off to the barracks, all of you.” He ordered. Turning to head to your room, Levi stopped you. “L/n. By the way, you run like a little girl.”
You turned away, smirking to yourself. An opportunity would come to prove him wrong.
***
Your boyfriend was becoming more and more distant, which was not necessarily a bad thing. You do really like Reiner, and he likes you. Would you want to court and spend the rest of your life with him? Absolutely not. There were definitely perks to being in a relationship with him. No one would dare mess with you, for they feared Reiner. The sex was good, and he was good company occasionally. Deep down, you also feared what would happen if you tried to end the relationship. Fights in the past had been bad, he’d scream at you and maybe even throw in a couple slaps in, later to claim that he was “just messing around.”
That morning you woke up to find your terrific boyfriend in the communal baths with another cadet. Lovely.
You walked into the shower rooms with your bar of soap and little scrub brush, a towel draped around your frame. You had not seen Reiner since the previous afternoon and when moaning noises echoed around the corner you were able to put two and two together. Were you surprised? Absolutely not. Disappointed? A little. Deciding that you did not want to deal with the confrontation while you were only in a towel, you turned around and exited the baths.
You adjusted the top of your towel, securing it tighter around your chest. As you absentmindedly rounded the corner, you rammed into a figure. You blushed and quickly held onto your towel for dear life. “Goodness, I’m so sorr-” you looked up to see Captain Levi, wearing a surprised expression. “Captain!” You quickly saluted when you realized his presence, grabbing your towel again before it started to slip down.
His eyes drifted down your body, then quickly back up to meet your gaze. “Watch where you’re going brat.”
Was he eyeing you up? No way, there was NO way. You scurried back to your room, leaving Levi completely breathless. The image of your towel hugging your curves so perfectly, the way your towel slipped down just right above your nipples and thighs, leaving little to his imagination. “She’s gorgeous,” he muttered to himself.
He was snapped out of his thoughts when Commander Erwin stopped him, “We have a situation.”
***
After you had gotten dressed and ready for the day, you decided to talk to Sasha about Reiner.
“Y/n, I really think you should end things with him. You could die any day now, do you really want Reiner to be the last guy you’ve slept with?!”
You chuckled, in a way, she was right. The cadet corps was a close knit community. It was not exactly a secret that Reiner had been cheating on you, in fact, rumors suggested it was with Annie Leonhart. You were not very fond of the quiet blonde and this did not come as a surprise to you. After speaking with Sasha, you decided to confront him. You had to come up with a plan though, otherwise it could end badly.
Your conversation with Sasha ended when Levi and Erwin interrupted, “Cadet L/n, we need to speak with you,” your commander explained. This did not sound good.
You followed them down the hallway into Erwin’s office. Mikasa, Eren, and Armin were already sitting down, looking extremely uncomfortable. You took a seat next to Eren and your superiors sat on the other side of the table.
“We believe there are traitors amongst the cadet corps,” Erwin explained. “And I think we know who they are.”
***
“You burst out of Erwin’s office, tears trickling down your face. How can your boyfriend of almost seven months be a traitor? It didn't make sense.
“L/n, wait,” Levi grabbed your arm, you flinched. “We need you to be smart about this. They can’t know that we know. The mission next week will confirm it. We are giving them false information on Eren’s position.”
You wiped your eyes, “Fuck off,” you spat.
“That’s laps, brat,” he growled, as you turned and walked away.
Sure, you just insulted one of your superiors, but you didn’t care. More laps would be the least of your problems. You felt sick to your stomach, brain foggy and heart heavy. You never loved Reiner, but for him to betray you?
Your thoughts interrupted again, “Babe, where have you been?”
“Just around,” you signed.
“You good?” he chuckled.
“Yeah, I'm good,” you answered, trying to sound more upbeat. As much as you hated to admit, Levi was right. For the sake of the other cadets, and perhaps humanity, you had to act clueless. You were also trying to work up the courage to address Reiner’s disloyalty to you.
“Levi gave me laps again,” you said, with a forced smile.
“Again? That little twat. Why’s he always picking on my girl?”
You shook your head, knowing damn well you did kind of deserve it. Either way, being in Reiner’s presence was uncomfortable and you’d rather be doing laps. It was not necessarily out of fear, but discomfort over the fact that he is not who he claims to be and only a few people know.
***
The following afternoon, you met Levi on the training field to run your laps. “Alright L/n, you know the drill, you better not fucking stop until you see stars.” You rolled your eyes in response. “And pick up the pace this time, you’re too slow,” he added. Yeah that was it, captain or not you were not about to let him keep speaking to you like this. You had too much going on in your life.
“You know what, Captain,” you said, emphasizing the last word. “Why don’t we just race to that tree over there?” You said, gesturing to a large oak about 100 yards away. “If I’m so slow, why don’t you show me how it’s done, yeah?”
He stared at you in silence as if debating your offer. Sure, this was a bit inappropriate and you needed to do your laps, but could it really hurt? Plus, Levi was not one to turn down a challenge.
“Fine, L/n. If you win, you don’t have to do laps and I’ll never criticize you’re running again,” he said with his usual, stern look.
Your eyes lit up, “Yes, okay!”
“Ready, Go!” You shouted, taking off in a sprint.
“Wait, what?” Levi responded, quickly following you.
You were ahead for a few seconds, however Levi still managed to catch up.
Neck and neck and only a few yards away, you pushed hard and ran faster than you ever have before.
You’re heart racing, head completely empty. It felt as though the world stopped and all you could hear was your palm slamming onto the bark of the oak tree. Levi’s echoing a half a second later.
“Yes!” you shouted in victory. “I won.”
Levi glared as you threw yourself on the ground, gasping for air. “You cheated,” he answered.
“No I didn't.”
“Yes you did.”
“Maybe YOU are the slow one that runs like a girl.”
“Fine cadet, let's spar.”
You giggled while he remained completely serious.
Little did you know a certain blonde haired brute was watching from the window, jealousy flaming in his eyes. You were HIS. Why was Reiner’s precious girlfriend smiling and laughing off in the distance with her Captain. He would not stand for this. Later, she’ll have hell to pay, he thought.
You were squared up across from Levi, positioned in a fighting stance. He stood perfectly still with his hands at his side as if he was bored. You wind back to throw the first punch, letting your fist fly towards his jaw. Suddenly, he reaches out and grabs your fist mid-punch. You freeze.
“Wanna try that again, sweetheart?” he said with a smirk.
“Bite me,” you answered.
You struck his stomach with your knee, and he let go of your fist just to blow a punch to your cheek with his opposite hand.
After what felt like 100 kicks and punches later, to your relief, you pinned him. Your legs positioned on either side of him with your hands holding his arms back.
“Tap out,” you growled.
“Never.”
He flipped you over onto your back and your head slammed onto the training mat. “Ouch,” you groaned. He now had you pinned down. Despite the pickle you were in, you noticed his arm pushing your shoulder down. Prominent veins were traveling up along his pale skin. You met his eyes and couldn’t help but blush.
“Gonna tap out, cadet?” he snickered.
You tried to wiggle yourself free, but to no avail.
You gave him a slight nod, “You’re hurting me,” you whimpered, as his bodyweight crushed your diaphragm. He grabbed your hand and helped you up. You met his eyes again, this time a blush swept across his face.
“Well, what are you waiting for, off to the barracks brat.”
It was already dark, so you snapped back to reality and hustled to your room.
***
Sure he was stronger than you, but you were faster. You had won. You laid in bed, smiling to yourself as you replayed the evening with Levi in your head. He was not nearly as bad as he seemed. Your eyes fluttered shut. Moments before you slipped out of consciousness, you heard rustling in your room. Your eyes flew open and you sat up to see Reiner.
“What are you doing here? You’re going to wake up the other girls,” you whispered.
“Baby, you know I love you. I just need to talk to you. Can you meet me outside?”
“Fine, just give me 5 minutes,” you groaned.
He left your room and you slowly got up, rustling through your things to find a jacket and pants. You slipped on your boots and headed outside. You knew this could be bad but chose to comply with his wishes. You had to keep on a happy face for the sake of the Scouts and your friends. He could not know that you know, and that was the only thing protecting you.
You lazily stepped into the cold and met him under a tree. It was a cloudy night and the moon allowed for limited viewing.
“Hi baby,” you greeted him, grabbing his hand. He pulled away.
“What is it, Y/n? Am I not good enough? I have given you everything,” he said calmly.
“What are you talking about?” You mumbled.
“You know what I’m talking about. You never told me you were fucking the Captain,” he began raising his voice.
“Reiner, I never- I would never,” you stumbled.
“Who knew my girlfriend was a whore?” he said with a psychotic laugh.
“Reiner you cheated on ME, with Annie,” you whispered.
“Bullshit!” He snapped, before throwing a right hook to your face. You ducked just in time.
“Woah Reiner, stop!” You shouted.
This was bad, you knew you couldn't win against him. You were too far away from the barracks, no one would hear you screaming. Your best option, per usual, was to run. You turned away from him to break off into a sprint, but he grabbed your arm. His other fist swung around and met your nose with a crunch.
You gasped, reaching up to feel blood and tears trickling down your face. Your vision was foggy and you could feel your cheeks swelling. He threw another blow to your stomach, knocking you down.
He stopped. “You’re not even worth it, he spat.”
“Reiner!” Bertholdt appeared, running towards you.
You at first felt relieved that someone was here to stop him, before remembering Bertholdt is also a traitor. Annie followed behind him.
“We told you not to get attached, this was just for the time being,” Annie said, annoyed. “We don’t need more attention drawn to us.”
Not get attached? Then it clicked. Reiner was using you to help blend in. This was bad, you had to get out of here. You sprung up and hobbled back to the barracks.
Reiner went to follow, but Annie stopped him.
“Just let her go.”
***
You got back to the barracks, droplets of blood trailing behind you. You crept inside, no clue what to do. You needed help, medical help. You couldn’t wake up Sasha or Eren, everyone else would wake up. They’d all have questions and you couldn't handle that. You thought about your options and decided Levi’s room was the way to go. Sure this could come with consequences, by now it was just shy of midnight and who's to tell what he does alone at night.
You gently tapped his door, a little puddle of blood still pooling at your feet.
Levi swung his door open, “Who the fu- y/n oh my god.”
Did he just call you by your first name?
“I’m sorry, I had nowhere else to go,” you explained, hand still cupped over your nose.
“Get in here. Who did This?” he asked, pulling you inside his room.
“Reiner,” you whispered.
“That motherfucker,” he shook his head. “Let’s get you cleaned up.
He took you to his bathroom and began wiping the blood off your face to assess the damage to your nose. You sat in silence, but it was a comfortable silence. Your heart was heavy and so was his.
“Well your nose is definitely broken. We’ll need to pop it back,” he explained.
You looked in the mirror. You looked like shit. Fresh bruises were fanned out under your eyes and your nose was swollen with an apparent bump.
“It’s gonna hurt for a second,” he said with a calm and quiet voice.
“Have you done this before?” you asked.
“Yeah, it’ll be okay,” he reassured. You trusted him.
He placed his hands on your face and with a loud pop, pain erupted across your face. Your eyes began watering again and you let out a groan.
“Good girl,” he said. You blushed.
“Where else did he hurt you?”
“Nowhere.”
“Don’t lie to me.”
You motioned to your stomach.
“Can you take this off for me?” he asked, grabbing the end of your shirt.
Then it hit you. You were dressed for bed. With no bra. Oh god. You slowly pulled your shirt over your head. Blood rushed to your cheeks and you were too embarrassed to meet your captain’s eyes. Levi bit his lip, eyes falling to your chest. You were gorgeous. But more feelings of anger erupted inside of him when he saw the large bruises trailing up to your collarbone. He brushed your shoulder and examined you closely. You held your breath.
“I’m going to go get you some ice and tea, he whispered, not taking his eyes off your body.
“Wait. Can you just stay with me?” you asked. He nodded.
“Do you wanna- I can sleep on the floor,” he said motioning to his bed.
You shook your head. He nodded again, understanding what you were asking. You laid down next to him and he pulled the covers over both of you. You laid with your back to him, tears still slowly spilling out. He wrapped his arms around your waist and leaned into you.
“Captain I-”
“Shhh, Call me Levi,” he cut you off. He tucked a piece of hair behind your ear, “I think you’re beautiful, Y/n. You deserve better.”
Your mind was racing. What did this mean for you and him? Did he want a relationship with you? What would the commander and your friends think? For once in your life you decided to stop thinking and just enjoy the moment. You were safe.
“He’s never gonna touch you again,” Levi said in a hushed tone. You closed your eyes as he began gently kissing your shoulder. You finally felt at peace. And with that, you drifted off to sleep.

Final moments I couldn’t say ‘goodbye,’
angsty oneshot. | AOT x reader
WARNING: contains AOT SEASON 4 p.3 spoilers, major character death
    AS YOUR TEAM APPROACHED Odiha by boat, you could feel the soft wind brush through your hair. The quiet ride to the city was comforting but it kept you from thinking about Eren’s plan. The rumbling, freedom, Ymir’s subjects, all of them. As someone as his childhood friend, you couldn’t help but shed a few tears of regret. Regret that you failed as his companion. Just when the tears were about to fall down to your cheeks, your captain, Levi Ackerman, came to see you with your arms resting on the railing of the ship.
    You wiped away your tears before he could see them. It would be humiliating if Levi were to see you in such a sorrow mood. The injured man approached you before he placed his hand on top of the ship’s railing. The two of you sat in silence before he spoke.
    “Sad that you can’t spend the rest of his remaining years with him?” Levi asked in a soft tone. You couldn’t help but feel special about it since you were the only one he spoke nicely to. You nodded in response before explaining yourself.
    “I can’t help but feel... guilty. I know you must’ve heard others blame themselves about Eren repeatedly so.. I shouldn’t bore you with my story,” you spoke as you faced Levi’s injured self. Deep down, he could see the pain Eren inflicted on you yet, even when you agreed to stop Eren’s plan, you still miss him. It was reasonable but Levi wished he could help you with your problems if ever they managed to stop the rumbling.
    Levi could see the two of you together, retired veterans growing old together in a small but comfortable place after stopping the rumbling. The two of you would talk about the scout’s memories and maybe a few funny moments of Eren and Jean fighting. He secretly smiled at the thought. He would do anything to spend the rest of his years with you.
    After the two of you continued to stare at the ocean’s clear view, the ship came into a halt. The team and the Azumabito had finally arrived to Odiha. What was once a populated Marleyan city, became an empty space waiting to be crushed.
    Without wasting any more time, Jean and the rest got to work on the flying boat with the Azumabito engineers. You helped them take off the large string of explosives and set them to the side while from time to time, you would check on Levi to see if he was doing well. You would give him his favorite cup of drink; tea and sometimes help him walk.
    It was early in the morning when everyone finished setting up the flying boat. With Hange and Levi beside you, you wondered about the scout regiment’s dead comrades. If you were just lucky all this time to survive the titans then you wanted to pass down your luck to your two comrades beside you. They were much more worth it and they would need it anyway. As you gazed at the flying boat, you asked the two a question.
    “Say, Levi and Hange, do you think that our dead comrades are watching us? Would they be proud of our efforts?” you asked, your eyes tired from crying last night. Hange and Levi looked back at you, Zoe placed their hand on your shoulder to comfort you.
    “I’m sure they are,” Hange spoke before you turned your head to face them and smiled. Levi didn’t know what to say so he just nodded in agreement. But it was true that their comrades would be cheering on for all of you.
    All of a sudden, a wet figure approached the place quietly. With the last of his bullets, Floch shot his gun recklessly to stop the scout regiment’s plan. Faster than thunder, Mikasa shot her ODM gear’s wire into Floch’s chest, killing him in the process.
    His bullets caused holes to pierce the flying boat’s fuel tank. As the Azumabito engineers rushed to fix the mess, you could feel the ground start to rumble. With horror, you looked outside to see huge cloud-like gas on top of the mountain. The rumbling was fast approaching.
    The team left to check the rumbling before looks of horror came onto their faces. With pounding hearts, Mikasa asked Armin for any ideas to slow down the rumbling.
    “I’ll stay and slow it down..” Armin suggested yet Reiner disagreed. Their bickering went back and forth while your head stared down onto the shaking ground. Facing Eren at his titan form now would most likely to cause you to breakdown and sob uncontrollably. You couldn’t bare to see one of your comrades die again in front of you while you stayed with the remaining few just to be a distraction.
    You checked your ODM gear to see if there was any gas left. There wasn’t much but it would be definitely enough to kill numerous colossal titans. You held the thunder spears tightly before finally speaking.
    “I’ll distract them for you guys, get the flying boat ready,” you said with determination. Levi and the rest widened their eyes in fear. Without even wasting a second, they disagreed with what you said and told you it was best to fight along side them.
   “I’ve survived through luck this whole entire time, I think it would be best to pass on my luck to all of you to defeat Eren. I’m also a bit to blame for the rumbling... that was completely my fault, I’ll make it up to you guys by distracting them.” you explained, never backing down to your word. Your friends’ eyes grew wide in fear for you. With a small chuckle, you reassured them.
    “Don’t worry guys! I’ll be fine, who knows? maybe I’ll survive and join Annie later, or I can see you at the other side...” As sad as it might sound, tears didn’t drop down your face. With nothing left to say, you approached Levi, his eyes staring down to the floor not ready to face you.
“Y/N, don’t force yourself, I’ll distract them for you...” Levi gripped onto your wrist before he looked at you to see your soft smile. It was telling him to stop forcing himself from saving you again like always.
    “Levi.. it’s okay, really. But before I die, will you please promise me one thing?” you asked before the injured Ackerman continued to listen.
    “Live for me... alright?” you spoke with a small smile. It was at that time where Levi realized you were being serious about this. But what about his plans with you in the future? Would you really just sacrifice yourself over something so small? An unfamiliar liquid came rushing down his eyes. It has been years since Levi felt anguish, it felt so painful. Even though he experienced it before countless times, you were the first one to make him feel something much more sorrowful.
“I’ll get going now. So long, Levi…” with one last hug, Levi wrapped his arms around you while he hoped you could change your mind. After a few seconds, you let go of him and smiled brightly to your team and him, wishing them all good luck
You fired the strings of ODM gear as it dragged you to the direction. Faster than lightning, you fired the thunder spears at the colossal titans. They fell all the way down the mountain like blocks. You slashed and killed the countless titans as their blood stained your coat. But it came to the point that it was burning from the heat.
Levi couldn’t stand the sight of you killing those ugly titans while you were obviously in danger because of the fire. Without a second thought, he shot his wires to help you. His comrades begged him not to follow you but even when Levi wishes to, he realized that there was no gas inside his ODM gear. In confusion and shock, he realized this was your doing. You were aware that he would be so reckless like helping you distract the colossal titans while injured.
Levi couldn’t do anything but curse while tears slipped down his eyes. If it weren’t for Hange pulling him inside the flying boat, he would’ve stayed. The crew climbed up in the boat before they leaned their heads onto the glass window to watch you mercilessly slaughter them. Your screams of pain and agony were so loud to go unnoticed by Levi.
You couldn’t do anything anymore, your coat was completely burnt and it was burning your skin. One of your blade was already broken in half. You used the remaining gas to boost yourself to another colossal titan before your body exploded. The flames and explosion completely killed you and three other titans since you brought other explosives.
Cries of despair were all what was heard in the flying boat. Armin’s tears stained the floor while Jean and Connie watched how you died. Hange was punching the seat’s cushions and Mikasa cried. Levi’s heart fell heavy but it only became much worse when he reached into his pocket and pulled out a golden ring. It was the one he bought after the two became close.
Even when Levi did continue living his life as a retired veteran, he regrets not sharing it with you. As he gripped the golden ring, wrapped with a string on his neck, Levi wishes you could see him alive and well, as you promised.
Y/N’s last words: “I’ll get going now. So long, Levi…”

One. Two. Three. And….. still stuck. How did this happen? Did I somehow gain weight while training?! Shit, if Eren sees me or Connie, I am gonna be the laughing stock. If the Captain sees me, I am quitting the scouts.
You were currently stuck in the middle of the wall. Mikasa demanded you go through the hole since you were a lot smaller than her because she and Ymir dropped something inside the building.
Now you are stuck.
“Can you get it?” Mikasa asked.
“No, and I am stuck, pull me out!”
“How you are small!” Ymir said and you shushed her.
“Clearly not get me out. I can hardly breathe, freaking out here.”
Someone grabbed onto your waist and tried to tug you out but it didn’t work. Before you knew it two pairs of hands were now pulling you but you didn’t budge.
“Shit, she really is stuck.”
“We are gonna have to get the captain to cut the hole bigger,” Mikasa said.
“God no, anyone but him. Get Reiner, or Marco, anyone but for the love of all things holy do not get the captain.”
“No one else is allowed to cut this hole beside him. I will explain it was our fault,” Mikasa said, leaving you alone.
“Wait Mikasa, no. Ymir, are you still here? Ymir? Mikasa?”
And they left me, alone. Where I can’t defend myself against perverts. God, this is so embarrassing. No more bread or carbs for me.
Mikasa and Ymir walked to Levi’s office and knocked on the door. They heard a gruff ‘come in’ before walking in. Levi looked up at them with an annoyed look.
“What is it?”
“Well (Y/N) is sorta stuck in a wall and we can’t get her out,” Ymir blurted out.
“How the hell did that happen?” Levi asked, pinching the bridge of his nose annoyed.
“Ymir dropped something, and since she was the smallest we told her to get it. We didn’t think she would actually get stuck. We tried to pull her out, but no luck.”
“And, you guys left her? By herself? At night?” Levi asked as he stared at them. Ymir and Mikasa nodded realizing that one of them should have stayed behind.
“Where is she at? I will cut her out.”
They gave your location to Levi, and he nodded, going to grab the tools he would need to make the hole bigger. Once he had everything he made his way to your location by himself.
While you were waiting for your hero, you were praying no one passed by that you knew. Prayed that no one would do anything weird. It wasn’t until you heard the clanking of metal and some footsteps.
“Mikasa? Ymir?”
“No,” Levi said.
You froze feeling your entire face turn red.
Yep, I am leaving the scouts today. After I am out of this.
“You know, Mikasa and Ymir are both not as smart as I thought they were, They should have known you would have gotten stuck.
Levi clicked his tongue and you hung your head low.
“Sorry captain.”
Levi was silent, and you waited for him to start working on the hole. But you didn’t hear any movement.
“Are you still there, captain?” You called.
Levi had set down his weapons and just stared at you. Your ass was completely poked out and such easy access to do anything he wanted to you. Typically he wasn’t that kind of person, but here lately you have been making it really hard for him to contain his hormones.
He completely zoned you out before walking closer to you. He placed a hand on your ass and gently massaged it to test the waters.
Your eyes widened at the fact he was touching your butt. You blushed and tried to move away from his hand but you had no such luck.
“C-Captain, what are you-”
“Shut up…” he mumbled and you fell quiet.
Levi wrapped an arm around your waist before unbuttoning your pants and pushing them down along with the leg harness you wore. The sudden cold air hit your body causing you to shudder and squeaked.
“Captain! Pull my pants back up before someone sees,” you cried in surprise.
“If you keep yelling, someone will come out and see. So shut up.” He said as he trailed his middle fingers from your ass to your core.
You were starting to get wet from the gentle caresses of his fingers. Small whimpers escaped your lips as you squeezed your eyes shut.
Levi felt his pants get tighter when he felt the wetness begin to form. He tugged your underwear down, before making you step out of them. He spread your legs further and got on his knees.
He has been thinking about doing this to you for so long. Now that he has the chance too he wasn’t about to let it go to waste.
He licked the front of your pussy to the back. He let a moan out at your taste.
“God, you taste so sweet,” He said before indulging himself in your cunt.
You couldn’t help the surprise moans that escaped. You would have never thought Levi would have done something like this. He was always well-mannered when it came down to it, and always respected women. Though he never really dated, taking his job a bit too seriously. Now he was eating you out like you were the last meal he would ever have.
His tongue went deep inside your hole causing you to toss your head back moaning. His grip on your thighs only tightened as he sucked harshly before parting away.
The sudden emptiness had you whimpering and shaking slightly.
Levi slapped your ass cheek, making it turn red. You squeaked slightly from the impact, and he had done it over, and over again.
Three. Four. Five. Six.
You lost count as the wind blew harder making you shiver from the cold. It went silent again except for the clinking of a belt and pants falling to the ground.
Levi took his cock into his hand and stroked it a bit looking around. Once he verified no one else was around, he slowly started to rub the tip of his cock against your slick folds.
“Is this okay? I should have asked first.”
“Y-Yeah, this is fine… but shouldn’t you get me out first?” You asked.
He completely ignored you, once you said it was fine. He started to push the thick head of his cock past your folds, stretching you out. You tossed your head back trying to control your moans, but he was the first person to ever do this to you.
The stretch burned, and Levi was cursing under his breath.
“Fuck, you are so tight. Is this… your first time?”
He rocked his hips back, pushing further despite your cries. You tried to relax but the stretch and the uncomfortable position were too much for you.
Once he was all the way in, he stayed still.
His hands were flat against the wall and he was on the balls of his feet. He was panting, from the tightness that surrounded his cock.
“S-So big, Levi~ please… move,” you begged.
“You gotta loosen up, I can hardly move, you are sucking me in further.”
You whined with every small thrust he gave you. Once he was able to move freely, he started to thrust into you at a fast pace.
The sound of skin slapping against each filled the air. That sound mixed with your moans, it wouldn’t be no mistaking it if someone was to walk too close to where you guys were.
That thought of being caught being fucked in public only made you wetter. You tightened around Levi and he groaned and slapped your ass.
“You really are a filthy slut. Enjoy being fucked while you are stuck in a wall. Disgusting.”
His words cut deep, but you didn’t dread on them for too long. Because that caused you to pull him in deeper.
Levi snapped his hips deep inside you, reaching places you didn’t know were possible. Your gummy walls had him seeing stars, and he knew right then, he wasn’t letting you go. He was going to claim you as his if it was the last thing he do.
You felt a knot in the pit of your stomach, and you cried out not caring if someone heard you anymore.
“S’close, captain!” You cried.
“You better not cum, or else you will be walking back to base with my cum dripping down your legs.”
He threatened though he knew deep down that regardless if you came now or later you were getting filled up and not wearing your panties back. The thought of filling you full had him slamming his hips against yours even faster.
“Fucking slut, shit…” he hissed, and once he slammed into that one spot inside you, you squirted on him.
A part of Levi was pissed you made a mess on him, so he gripped your hips harder. Pulling you back on his dick.
Without either of you realizing it, he was pulling you out of the hole with his pure strength.
Your walls twitched around him, and when he felt his knot breaking. He slammed and pulled your hips against his completely, causing you to fall out of the hole, and he fell onto the ground. You on his lap caused him to reach even deeper as he filled your womb with his seed.
You saw stars and collapsed against his chest and he cursed. He didn’t think he would reach that far but shit, you gave him the best orgasm he has ever had.
You both stayed like that, you plugged up by his dick to keep his cum inside you. He leaned his head against your shoulder.
It was silent until you both caught your breaths. Once you both realized the situation you started to freak out since he came inside. You went to get up off of him, and the moment his dick slipped out, a mixture of yours and his cum started to fall down your thighs.
“Captain I-”
“Get your pants on.”
“Where are my panties?”
“You aren’t getting them.” Levi grabbed the tools and started to walk away after he adjusted himself back into his pants. You blushed and quickly put your pants back on. You could feel the wetness form in between your pants and you blush as you limped to him.
“For the record, you are mine now. Got it?” He said coldly, and you nodded with a smile.
“Yes sit,”
“Good, I expect you in my room tonight for round two.”
Nevermind, I won’t be leaving the scouts.

Can you make a ficlet about the pirate Mikasa who pretends to be a boy and the pirate captain Eren who is very interested in this new sailor?
admittedly, i'm not an expert on pirates. but here's a little something. actually the image i got was sexy so thanks for request!
She had night watch duty, because of course she did. There was nothing that she enjoyed more than staying up all night while everyone else snored soundly in their hammocks.
Well, she did sign up for this. Mikasa couldn’t take her life saddled as the orphaned niece of the governor’s wife anymore. She’d already felt suffocated under society’s standards for a woman of her status but the last straw came when they arranged her marriage to a naval captain. A man who’d made it perfectly clear that he could “never take her out to sea because the sea was no place for a woman.”
So she ran away. Cut her hair, traded in her fine clothes for sailor garb, and somehow ended up on a pirate ship, masquerading as a young man. It was a rough life, definitely not one she was used to, but she loved the smell of salt in the air. She was free at last.
The captain was up on this tiny watchtower with her. He wasn’t doing much watching of the seas as he was her.
They were in calm waters. She didn’t understand why she had to be here.
“So, Mickey,” the captain emphasized her name like it was the funniest joke he’d ever heard.
She sighed, her voice dropping several octaves, “Aye, Captain?”
“No complaints, eh?” he said.
The Titan’s captain, Eren Jaeger,  had a bit of a nasty reputation. He was known to show no mercy, even to his own crew. Several naval ships and their men had been lost at sea because of him. Legend had it that he stored the heads of his enemies like trophies at the lowest deck of the ship.
She hadn’t been there to find out.
“There is nothing to complain about, captain,” she responded.
“You’re an interesting lad. You never complain, I’ve never once had to threaten to make you walk the plank, and you’re one hell of a fighter,” he commented. He was so close that his breath made the hairs on the back of her neck stand up.
“Thank you, sir.”
“And a pretty one too.”
She tensed up at that comment. Surely, she hadn’t heard that right. For a second, she thought she might’ve been found out. But how? She’d been meticulous in this disguise. Her breasts weren’t showing, she’d mastered the walk, even her voice wasn’t half bad. Oh god.
Eren Jaeger was not known for showing mercy to women either.
“Captain, I need to—” she choked out, trying to around the captain to get to the otherside.
She wasn’t fast enough because he grabbed her and pinned her against the past. The whole thing happened so fast, her body had hardly processed it. She stared up at him. She could see her reflection in his one emerald eye, she looked terrified.
How could she not be?
“You don’t walk around me, lad.”
His voice had dropped octaves. She could smell rum on his breath. He was impossibly close. His face was mere centimeters. He was glaring. His handsome face wasn’t mad but it was still terrifying.
Wait. Did she just call him handsome?
“Relax,” he said. “I would never dream of hurting this pretty little face, Mickey. It would be such a shame.”
She shook a little as he caressed her cheek with the back of his hand. She couldn’t help but close her eyes. She was enjoying it, damn it.
He was calling her pretty. No, she was calling Mickey pretty.
Still.
“Heh, soft as a highborn girl’s ass,” he said, backing up. Mikasa silently mourned the loss of his presence but she had to compose herself.
“C-Captain,” she tried to say something but she wasn’t exactly coherent right now.
“Lookout,” he said, simply. “If we’re attacked because you weren’t looking, I’ll make ye walk the plank.”
She scrambled back to her original position. Her captain, however, leaned against the mast, leering at her the whole night long…

“Mikasa, how are the veggies looking? And Connie, can you stir the pot? Also, when was the last time someone - Sokka, whatever you’re doing, don’t - checked on Sasha to make sure she’s still tied up?” I call out like a chef.
“Good! Just finished chopping!” Mikasa yells as Connie moves to stir the aforementioned pot.
“I’ll go check on her,” Jean sighs.
Preparations for the picnic are coming along swimmingly. With everyone helping out, I’m able to step away for a moment to get ready.
“Okay, I’ve gotta shower quickly so while I’m gone everyone listen to Katara,” I say as I take off my apron.
I practically run to the bathroom to shower as quickly as I can so I’m not away for long. When I get out, instead of braiding my hair like I normally do, I wrap it in a towel on top of my head. Once I’m back in my room, I throw on my new dress and, for the first time in years, I begin lacing my watertribe beads into my hair. I do loopies similar to Katara’s, two on each side, that feed into a loose top knot secured with larger medallion.
As I’m fixing my beads into my hair, I’m able to take a real, hard look at myself. It’s weird to have the realization that I haven’t seen myself dress like a person since I was a small child.
When was the last time I openly wore my beads? When I was seven?
I’m ripped out of my thoughts by a knock at the door.
“Y/n! We’re taking stuff out of the oven, hurry up!” Sokka calls.
With one last quick joosh of my hair I swing my door open to find Sokka still standing there.
“Holy shit, you look like a girl!” He exclaims.
I merely roll my eyes at him before heading to the kitchen.
When I walk in, Jean is pulling out a casserole, Connie is STILL stirring, and Katara and Suki are putting finishing touches on the veggies and fruit. I can’t get over how amazing everything smells.
As I enter and get straight to work, I ask, “Is everything set up outside?”
Instead of people answering me, I’m met with a loud silence. All of the sounds of the kitchen stop simultaneously. Pausing what I’m doing, I look around a bit confused. “What?”
It’s Suki that whispers, “You look really pretty.”
I’m immediately a bit bashful and I can feel a blush creeping up on my face. “Oh, thank you.” After I regain my composure, I clear my throat and ask again, “Is everything set up outside?”
“I-I think Commander H-Hange and C-Captain L-Levi are already out there. Connie! Let’s go grab Sasha and we can put the blanket out!” Jean stammers, making me chuckle a bit.
“Y-yeah! Sure!” When Connie stumbles over his words, I glance down to make sure I didn’t accidentally come out naked.
With the casserole having sat for a few minutes to set, I begin cutting it into serving sizes. “Oh, Mikasa, will you grab the lemonade out of the fridge? Eren, you can take the fruit and veggies out and Armin, why don’t you grab the cups, plates, and silverware. The five of us can take care of the food.”
Mikasa and Eren nod in agreement, but Armin looks like he wants to say something. I stand there expectantly, but when he opens his mouth a strange squeak is all that comes out, so he quickly closes it and nods like Eren adn Mikasa. Again, I chuckle and ruffle his hair which seems to short circut him even farther. Once they head out, Toph turns in my general direction.
“You must look crazy because every single one of those boys little hearts were beating like run away trains.”
The five of us that are still in the kitchen all burst into laughter. “For god’s sake, I’m wearing a dress not my birthday suit,” I say between giggles.
“I think it’s the combination of the dress, the color, and the hair,” Katara postulates.
Before I pick up the casserole, Suki elbows me in the side playfully, wiggling her eyebrows and saying, “If that’s how these kids with their crushes act, I’ll be interested to see the Captain’s reaction.”
“Oh my god, here we go,” I say rolling my eyes.
“Wait! Wait! The short angry one?! You two…?!” Sokka questions, desperately trying to catch up.
“No!” I say looking back and forth from Suki to Sokka and back again. “There is nothing going on! He and Hange are just the only other adults in this place so I’m good friends with both of them!”
As we walk outside, Toph speaks up once again. In a sing-song voice she says, “That’s not what EITHER of your hearts say though!”
Grunting at her comment, I can see the group in the distance. “Alright, enough! All of you!” I hiss.
They’re all still cackling as we crest the hill. A small table has been set up for the food, presumably by Levi so that nothing gets set on the ground. Everyone is sitting on the blanket with the exception of the Captain who stands with his arms crossed.
Once we’re finally close enough for everyone to get a good look at each other, I can hear Sasha yell, “Holy shit, she DOES look really hot!” I try to ignore it as to not embarrass them further but she doubles down. “Y/n, has anyone told you you look really hot?”
Now I can’t hold back my laughter, especially when all of those boys look like they’re praying for a titan to come out of nowhere and swallow them whole. Still laughing but also fighting my own embarassment, I say, “Not in so many words, but thank you Sasha.”
We all settle in with our plates and I can tell everyone is enjoying the meal because no one is saying anything. That is, until Katara leans over to whisper to me.
“Your man hasn’t been able to keep his eyes off of you.” She says with a wink.
On instinct, I punch her in the arm. But even so, my curiosity gets the better of me and I can’t help but sneak a glance in his direction. And, sure as shit, he was already looking at me. When we make eye contact, I swear I see him blush again.
Seriously, there’s no way they’re right…right?
As everyone finishes up, the sun is just barely beginning to set so the entire field is washed in a beautiful golden light. I flop down in the grass and close my eyes, happy to soak in the day’s last few rays.
From the other side of the blanket, I hear Hange ask, “So, what’s the plan for this trip?”
It’s Sokka that replies, explaining, “I think we should leave first thing tomorrow. We’re going to fly straight through to Ba Sing Se which will take a large part of the day. We’ll land at King Kuei’s palace probably in the early evening. If we plan it right we should be getting there just as Aang and Zuko are finishing up the day’s meeting so we should be there for dinner.”
Curious, I butt in, “Are we staying at the palace overnight? And how long will we be in Ba Sing Se for?”
A little uneasily, Sokka answers, “Well, team Avatar will for sure be staying in the palace, but I’m not entirely sure about everyone else. We’ll be there for maybe two days and two nights, so there’s a chance it will be no big deal, but just in case it is a problem, everyone else will probably bunk at Iroh’s -”
I immediately shoot up, absolutely beaming. “We’ll get to see Uncle Iroh?! I don’t care what the plan is, I wanna stay with him!”
Sokka, Katara, Suki, and Toph grin. “I’m sure he’ll be thrilled to have you,” Katara says warmly.
“Does he know I’m coming?” I ask excitedly.
“No, he shouldn’t. Zuko, Aang and I agreed that it would be a fun surprise. When we talked they agreed that they’d just give him a heads up that there’s a slim chance he might need to house some people for a few nights,” Sokka explains.
Looking to the others and lingering on Levi for an extra moment, I explain, “Uncle Iroh owns a tea shop. He’s who taught me how to make tea. You all will absolutely LOVE him!”
“You keep calling him ‘Uncle.’ Is he YOUR uncle?” Hange asks.
I giggle a little. “Oh, no. Actually, he’s Zuko’s uncle. But I just call him that from the time the three of us spent traveling.”
Under his breath, Sokka mumbles, “He was ALMOST your uncle.”
God I hope no one heard that.
Suki and Toph both almost choke when they start laughing and based on everyone else’s faces, I know they all heard it. I merely glare at Sokka.
Of course, it’s Hange that questions it. “What do you mean?”
The Gaang laughs harder and I try my hardest to dismiss it. “He doesn’t mean anything by it.”
“When I said that she probably hasn’t told you anything remotely personal, this is what I mean,” Suki says through her laughter. “I take it that she hasn’t told you that she and Zuko were engaged at one point?”
“WHAT?!” They all say in unison.
Glaring at Suki now, I swear I feel my eye twitch a little. Without looking away from her, I continue trying to end the conversation by saying, “Yeah, we were engaged for a few months after the war. It’s not a big deal though.”
“That sounds like a pretty big fuckin deal to me!” Hange almost squeals. Everyone is incredulous, but she’s the only one that really pushes for more information. “Wait, does that mean you could’ve been the…Fire…lady?”
I sigh, finally turning to look at her in defeat. “Yes, I was in fact supposed to be essentially the queen of the Fire Nation.”
Now, it’s Sasha that chimes in. “So you were literally royalty and…chose to live in titan country instead?”
I laugh a little. “I mean, it’s a little more complicated than that but yes. I left because, well, I don’t exactly scream royalty.”
“And the Fire Nation has a ton of rules, which aren’t exactly her thing,” Katara adds.
For the first time in this entire conversation, I’m infinitely grateful for something one of them said because that seemed to end the barrage of questions for the time being.
With the sun now setting further, I smack my legs a little and stand up, saying, “Welp, I think we should probably start tidying up and head in.”
Wordlessly, everyone starts pitching in. Once everyone is inside, I dismiss the kids to get ready for bed since we’ll have an early morning and I start doing the dishes. After a few minutes alone, I feel someone approach. Without turning around, I scold them a little. “Hey, I said go get ready for bed, I’ve got this under control.”
Without responding, the figure gets closer and starts drying the dishes. Glancing sideways, I realize it’s not one of the kids but instead Levi.
“Oh, Levi, you don’t have to do that,” I say in surprise.
“I know,” is all he responds.
Typical.
We work quietly like this for a few moments, but as we do I realize something feels off. I don’t immediately address it, figuring that he wouldn’t appreciate that. As we finish up, he offers to make tea and I happily accept. Watching as he steeps the leaves, I help him carry the cups up to the roof where we sit in our usual places.
Wanting to break the silence and hopefully get him talking, I ask, “So, did you like the meal.”
“It was good,” he states simply. I nod in acceptance.
Another beat of silence passes and I think through my options. Luckily, I don’t have to ponder for long.
“Why haven’t you told us more about yourself?” He asks distantly, staring out at the walls on the horizon.
I shrug a little. “Just not important, I guess.”
He finally looks at me and I can’t discern the emotion on his face. What I can tell though is that he’s thinking over his next words. Finally, he says, “It would help us understand you better, so seems important to me.”
I shrug again, looking away from him. “My experiences aren’t the important part. Understanding my bending and my world is what’s helpful.”
Another silence passes between us before I add, “It’s not like you’re exactly forthcoming with your past, either.”
I hear him snort a little, a quiet acknowledgement that I’m right.
Before much time passes, Levi quietly asks, “Is that what your fight was about a few nights ago?”
“Huh?” I ask, knowing full well what he was referring to but wanting to buy myself a little time to think over what I wanted to say.
“You know what I’m talking about,” he calls my bluff.
I snort a nervous laugh. “Yeah, I uh, I guess I do. And, um, yeah. Something like that.”
Levi snorts again before saying, “Interesting tactic.”
I furrow my brows. “What do you mean?”
“Just that I wouldn’t think trying to kill someone would be the best way to win them back. What do I know though, everyone always tells me I have shit people skills,” he says dryly.
This makes me fully belly laugh, and I can tell Levi is innitially caught off guard my boisterous reaction. When my laughing subsides, I agree. “No, you’re spot on, I had that exact same thought as I was dodging fuckin’ fireballs.”
Levi laughs at this, and it’s maybe the first time that I’ve ever heard him laugh that genuinely. I put my hand on his arm and he stops instantly, making me regret touching him. However, when he looks at me, I softly say, “I think you have great people skills, actually. Unconventional, sure, but you always seem to know exactly what people need.”
“I-I do?” He responds a bit dumb founded.
My hand still on his arm, I smile and nod. “Yeah. Like, for example, when the interior took Eren and Historia and Armin had to kill that woman, you knew that they needed to talk about it. You got them talking with some stupid joke or something. And then, when Armin was spiraling, you knew when to cut him off so that he didn’t have to verbalize that he was a murderer. You were still honest, but you reassured him.” I look away, laughing a bit as I say, “I remember that instance specifically because that was the first time I really noticed that you weren’t just a dick.”
Another snort.
I go to move my hand away but Levi quickly puts his other hand on top of mine, holding it in place. My head snaps to look at him but he isn’t making eye contact. In response, I squeeze his arm a bit and leave my hand where it was.
Suddenly feeling very hot, I change the subject. “To sort of explain Zuko a little bit though, I don’t think it’s that he was trying to ‘win me back’ by attacking me. I think he just had a lot of anger that boiled up all at once.”
“Why was he angry, because you left?”
“I mean, yeah. Not just that though, I think it was the circumstances that made me leave. I kept telling him how much I hated the stupid etiquet classes that I had to take. One day I just sort of realized that that wasn’t the life I wanted to live. I mean,” I gesture to myself, “I suppose this outfit isn’t the best example, but I’m really not cut out for any kind of prim-and-proper life. Plus, the people of the Fire Nation had to be completely deprogramed after all of the propaganda they had been forcefed their entire lives. They literally thought that all other elements were inferior, so there was a lot of anger over the fact that I’m a water bender. I just decided that I didn’t want to put up with that so I thought about it and realized that in my life, I was the happiest when I had lived on my own in the woods, so that’s what I opted to do. Whether he accepts it or not, I can guarantee it has also made his time as Fire Lord easier because that’s one less thing he’ll have push back about.”
Levi nods, seemingly in understanding. “It’s got to be hard to walk away from a royal life though,” he postulates.
“Eh, it was easier than you’d think. I mean, put yourself in that situation. While yes, you’d want for nothing, after living a life based on survival it’s nearly impossible to adjust to. I had lived so many years just wanting a normal life that going from an essentially nomadic lifestyle to an opulent one was a huge shock to my system. I had spent so many years resenting the rich that I couldn’t stand being in that environment. I can’t help but think you’d be disgusted with it, too.”
“I guess you’ve got a point there,” is all he says.
I squeeze his arm again, but this time I do retract my hand. I stand up and say, “Well, we probably should try to sleep a little. We’ve got a few pretty busy days coming up.”
He nods wordlessly and gathers up the tea supplies that we had brought with us. I help him with the dishes and finally part ways at our respective doors.
The next morning, Suki and I take our run before the sun comes up as that was the only time we’d be able to squeeze it in. About a mile in, she turns to me and asks, “So, where’s your head at?”
“What do you mean?”
“Well, Zuko is obviously still in love with you and then you’ve got your entire fan club here, not the least of which being Levi. Ya know, no matter how much you deny it we know you have feelings for him too,” she states.
I roll my eyes. “I’ll tell you what I told Katara, Zuko needs to get over me. I would be lying if I said a part of me doesn’t still love him, but no amount of love can make up for the unhappiness I felt living in the palace. The man I was with there was not the version of Zuko that I fell in love with. I also can’t go back because I couldn’t live everyday in peace knowing that the people I care about here could be fighting for their lives. As far as the ‘fan club,’ they’re kids with crushes, simple as that. I adore them like I do you and the Gaang but they are all literal children and I think I would call the police on myself if I returned feelings for any of them. Levi though…”
I trail off, giving Suki a chance to add, “He’s certainly not a child.”
“No, that he’s not. We really couldn’t stand each other when I first got here so it’s taken me a little while to get past some of my original impressions of him. Honestly, until you and Katara said something I hadn’t even considered anything romantic there. Ya know, boys have never really been a priority for me. Any relationship I’ve found myself in I just sort of stumbled into so I’m not really observant with these types of things.”
She huffs out a laugh and chides, “Yeah, you could say that again.”
Once again confused, I spare her a quick sideways glance. She explains, “You are SO oblivious when it comes to men and romance.”
Slightly offended, I bite back, “I am NOT oblivious! I just don’t care to notice!”
Without breaking stride, she pats me on the shoulder and says, “No offense, but you have no clue the spell that you put most men under.”
Still shocked, I say, “Well, I’m not trying to!”
“Exactly, I think that’s part of what does it. You’re magnetic because you’re so self assured. But seriously, did you see the way Levi’s eyes almost jumped out of his head when you walked out last night?”
Truth be told, I had not noticed that. But I wasn’t about to let her know that. “Whatever,” I mumble. “This is a dumb conversation anyway, we sound like some pre-teen girls.”
She laughs as Sokka emerges in the distance. We can’t hear him, but I’m pretty sure he’s waving to us so we finish our workout and head over to him. As we get closer, I can see everyone bustling around and loading up the airship. This is the first time I had taken a good look at the airship and something dawns on me.
“Sokka, did they refurbish one of the airships from Sozin’s Comet?”
Suddenly a bit gloomier, Sokka nods. I stand back to take a better look at it. The platform where soldiers stood to incinerate the Earth Kingdom is still attached. I lose myself in thought, a strange combination of sadness and anger washing over me.
As Sokka tentatively approaches me, I ask, “I could get past maintaining some of the design elements, but did they really have to keep that?”
“Zuko tried to have it removed, but unfortunately it’s connected to some important infrastructure on the ship itself,” Sokka laments.
“Why doesn’t he just chop off the catwalk part then?” I enquire.
“Can’t do that either, it’s too heavy and the way the ship was constructed it would thow off the balance.” He pauses before whispering, “Trust me, he wanted to.”
I give a curt nod. It’s pretty plain to tell that this wasn’t just an explanation but rather a defense of Zuko. Patting Sokka’s arm, I say, “C’mon, let’s have some breakfast.”
At the table, everyone is absolutely buzzing with excitement and I can’t help but smile at them all. Everyone ate at Sasha speed so we could head out as quickly as possible.
As we all start loading onto the airship, I see Levi hesitate. Turning to question him, he says, “Are you sure this thing is safe?”
I laugh and grab him, practically dragging him towards the balloon. “Yes, Levi. It’s perfectly fine.”
Once on board, Sokka starts pulling handles and turning buttons and you can hear the engine room roaring to life. As the scent of burning coal completely takes over, the ship lifts off the ground. Everyone plasters themselves to the windows to watch the ground grow smaller beneath us, and I even see Levi trying to be nonchalant about the experience.
In about 20 minutes we’re over the ocean and at this point Hange has realized that Sokka is a captive audience for her ramblings, so she starts birating him with rapid fire questions about the airship and how it works. Luckily, Sokka just seems happy to explain it. With everyone settled in, I sneak away to enjoy the journey on my own.
While I hate the original purpose of the catwalk, I also recognize that it would have the best views, so when I’m alone that’s where I take up residence. There’s nothing but water in every direction, the wind is blowing through my hair. All-in-all, it’s very peaceful. So, I pop a squat and prepare to enjoy the next few hours.

Random Levi Headcanon!
Tumblr media
(I got this idea from watching a random prank TikTok xD)
- [ ] Levi is a clean freak right? Now what if I told you…………he has a weak stomach?
- [ ] I’m talking about dry heaving over blood, guts, boogers, spit, vomit, bad smells, etc!
- [ ] You know how cats hack up hair balls? He’d kind of look like that 🤣
- [ ] The facial expressions!!! The facial expressions!!
- [ ] He’d make all kinds of goofy faces!!!! If only they had cameras back then!
- [ ] And it is SOOOOO funny!! Stoic Levi gagging over small things when he can chop up titans! (I’ll be coming back to this later!!)
- [ ] Whenever it’s cleaning day he makes the cadets clean the bathroom, dishes, laundry, stables, etc anything that Levi will not handle very well. Plus he can make them clean whatever since he’s the captain 😎
- [ ] His cadets have even pranked him with old meat/fish before. Sneaking into his office and leaving it on his desk (It was Connie’s idea!)
- [ ] Once he walks in POOF 💨 that wave of rotten meat smell hits him and he’s hunched over HEAVING while the cadets try not to give away their hiding spaces from laughing (Hange was in on it too! 🤣)
- [ ] Even Mikasa would get a laugh out of it!
- [ ] He’ll be so mad because the smell lingers in his office for DAYS
- [ ] Levi would avoid the office until it has been torn apart and deep cleaned piece by tiny piece
- [ ] Whenever Levi finds out who put the rotten meat there (put that thing back where it came from or so help me!!) they’re taking laps around camp for the rest of the month, bonked in the head with a mop, and put on cleaning duty! They’d clean his office everyday!
- [ ] It’s a risky prank but it is so worth it hehehe 😈
-[ ] Did I mention he’d probably be afraid of skunks, C H I L D R E N, flies, shield bugs, roaches, rats, and mice? If the cadets get their hands on any of those animals Levi’s out the door! 🚪 🏃‍♂️ 💨
- [ ] Now, whenever Levi has a task at hand or whenever he is put in danger that gag reflex completely vanishes. He follows his orders!
- [ ] Erwin tries his best not to put him in grody situations, but if he needs to then what’s done is done
- [ ] That’s how Levi can put up with killing titans, and fight because he’s Humanity’s Strongest after all! It’s work
- [ ] Whenever there is nothing life threatening happening THEN he’ll hunch over and hack up a lung over something disgusting
Anyways just something I thought would be really funny xD I’m so evil heheheheheh Sorry Levi!

My Starlight…//Levi Ackerman x titan shifter! Reader
Summary: Y/N almost dies protecting what Erwin believes is the best course of action and in what would’ve been their final moments they confessed to Levi that they had feelings for him. Levi saves them and as they’re passed out from exhaustion he remembers the exact moment he started falling and the little intimate moments that they had had behind closed doors.
Warnings: angst with fluff
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Erwin is crazy.
That’s what others are saying.
The government is crazy.
Is what I say.
Erwin would never have someone murdered. Or stage Eren and Historia’s kidnapping. Erwin would never do what they’re accusing him of. But that’s the least of my worries. If Erwin’s plan is to work I need to avoid capture at all costs. Not only is Erwin counting on it, but my siblings, and all of humanity as well.
Eight years ago Erwin brought me and two of my little siblings inside the walls to integrate into human society. He took care of us until we were found a new home. For that I am forever in Erwin’s debt. I trust him with all I am and will be.
As for Levi, my captain, he has proven that I can trust him. It’s been more than once that he’s helped me through an issue. I, like most in my Cadet Core, am 18. But I am not like most of the others, I am a titan shifter. Levi never cared about that, he always made sure that at the end of the day I was safe, alive, and semi-taken care of. A lot of the other cadets think it’s unfair of Levi for him to treat us like this. I think he was more than generous with his treatment.
But then again, that’s just me. I lived outside the walls for the first ten years of my life, my father raised me to slay titans and to be a good soldier, I lived in Trost five years ago, I lived in the same filth that Eren, Mikasa, and Armin did, I’ve been protecting Eren as long as I’ve known him, and I was part of the Cadets that battled for wall Maria. I guess I’m just used to what would be considered “poor treatment”. But other than that Levi has helped me heal some trauma, one night he even helped me finally begin the mourning process over my brother who died twelve years ago.
Levi isn’t a bad guy, he’s just choosing with who he trusts and cares about. I respect that.
Right now I’m waiting for word from the Commander. I sit high in the trees and watch my surroundings diligently.
A snap of a twig caught my attention and my head snapped in it’s direction.
“Cadet! Orders from Erwin.” Hange called.
I jumped down from the branch.
“What are his orders, Section Commander Hange?” I saluted.
“He told me to have you start plan 34-C. Now, prey tell, what is this plan?” Hange asked.
“I’m sorry Commander, Erwin has told me to withhold that information from everyone until it is ongoing.” I replied.
Plan 34-C, code for: Hunt down the perpetrator and bring them to light, or if I have to, kill them. Meaning Erwin is in trouble and he needs me to be the bloodhound. It’s all part of his plan that doesn’t have a plan B.
“I have to go.” I told Hange, running off after Kenny Ackerman.
I found him pretty quickly. For a guy who has all this hype over being hard to beat he sure was easy to find.
“You can either come with me, or I can kill you and deliver your body to the government.” I spoke from the roof.
“Hah! Dainty lil thing like you can’t kill me!” Kenny called back.
“You wanna test that theory?” I put my hands on my swords.
“Heh, sure Sweetheart. I’ll test it.” He zoomed off with his ODM gear.
I smiled and decided the best course of action was to take him to the king’s court without him knowing that it wasn’t his decision.
I went around a building and cut him off, he went the way I wanted him to.
The chase lasted until I shoved Kenny through the window to the king’s court. I rounded and flew in to the room, landing right on top of Kenny as he was trying to get up.
“Y/N! Detain! Not kill!” Erwin barked.
I looked at him and nodded in agreement before pinning Kenny to the ground.
“I knew you didn’t have the heart to kill me.” Kenny said, it was slightly strained from my form pressing into his.
“The only reason you’re alive is because you are of more use to us that way.” I replied.
“Then here, let me egg you on to kill me.” He placed the barrel of his gun to my ribs and pulled the trigger.
Nothing vital, but it hurt like a bitch. I cried out through clenched teeth and held Kenny down harder, digging the heels of my hands into his collarbones.
“Damn, sweetheart, if you look this good in pain I wonder how good you’d look on my—” he cried out in pain as my nails dug into the meat of his shoulders so hard it drew blood.
“I thought you weren’t supposed to kill me!?” Kenny yelled.
“I may not be allowed to kill you, but I can fuck you up with my bare hands.” I hissed.
My ribs and right lung were on fire, stinging pain shooting through my body because of the bullet lodged in my right side.
Right then the doors flew open and a woman said to the room that wall rose had been breached.
No!
My siblings were there. This can’t be real!
One of the nobles said to close the gates and let no refugees enter this wall. I just about kicked his teeth in. I looked at Erwin, he sent me look as if telling me, “it’ll be alright, your siblings are safe.” I was confused but didn’t last long as I was shot once more, I was shot through the heart.
I cried out in pain and my grip tightened on Kenny’s shoulders.
“Y/N!” Erwin yelped, worried.
“I’m fine, Commander.” I reassured him.
A few minutes later I’m pulled off Kenny as my vision starts to go hazy. I was rushed to the hospital wing. I passed out as soon as I was laid on the bed.
Hours of fading in and out of consciousness later and my hazy vision falls on the door swinging open to reveal my higher-ups and some of my fellow cadets.
Levi was unfazed until his eyes fell upon my form struggling to stay awake.
Erwin was smiling until he saw the bullet wound still open.
“Why haven’t they been given medical attention yet?!” Erwin yelled at the nurse.
“They’re healing themself. I can see the titan steam.” She was unfazed.
“I can’t fully heal… the bullets would stay stuck in my body… cause more issues… I’m doing everything I can to stop the bullet in my back from entering my heart…” I explained.
“That’s a lie.” The nurse just left.
Erwin went after her, Levi rushed to my side, Hange went to wash her hands.
“Y/N, how are you feeling?” Levi asked, concern on his face.
“In an immense amount of pain, exhausted, but I’m at peace.” I told him, giving him a small smile.
“All of you go.” Levi barked at my fellow cadets. “Don’t give me that shit, Cadet. You’re not at peace.” Levi began tearing up.
“Yes I am, Captain. This isn’t a bad way to go. But I’d be lying if I said I have to do one more thing before I go…” I replied.
“What do you need?” Levi grabbed my hand.
“I need to tell someone how I feel… I’d be at peace in the afterlife if I would just be able to tell him…” I answered.
Did I mention that I caught feelings for Levi?
“Who? I’ll bring them in.” Levi said, tears threatening to break.
“You, Captain. I love you. I know I shouldn’t, but humor a dying person?” I pleaded.
“I don’t have to humor you, I love you too. And I’ll be damned if I have to live in this world without you again. I’ll be damned if you do see the outside world again.” Tears fell from Levi’s eyes.
“Don’t cry, Captain. We all die one day. Just do me a favor and tell Erwin to take care of my siblings for me.” I smiled at him.
“Say my name. Not ‘Captain’ my real name, please.” He pleaded with me.
“I love you, Levi…” I said weakly, slowly becoming unconscious once more.
“I love you to, My Starlight…” was all I heard before blacking out again.
The nickname reminded me of a poem I found on his desk a few weeks ago.
Darkness.
That’s all I’ve seen for most of my life.
No light.
I could only see myself.
Then I found you.
You lit up the darkness high above me.
You gave the sky beauty.
The darkness was less consuming.
I couldn’t stop staring at the sky.
At the bright lights in the sky,
That broke the darkness.
The bright lights that never faded even if you weren’t around.
Your beauty is the sky,
And the color dusting it your soul.
I couldn’t stop staring at you,
For you are the sky and everything in it.
The stars are your imprint on my soul,
The colors in the sky are your soul revealing itself to me,
The moon is your smile shining light on my dark world,
And the darkness behind the lights is what remains from before.
You never once tried to change me,
You just tried to bring joy to my darkness.
And joy you brought.
I’ve fallen for my starry sky,
I’ve fallen for the light in my darkness,
I’ve fallen for you,
My Starlight.
I woke once more, but I wasn’t in pain. No, I felt relaxed. I felt a hand holding one of mine and a soft weight in my lap. I looked down at my lap and my eyes widened. Levi was holding my hand and sleeping with his head in my lap.
Butterflies erupted in my stomach. My other hand came up to massage his scalp.
Levi stirred from his slumber, opening his eyes and beginning to lift his head.
“I’m sorry, Sir. I didn’t mean to wake you.” I apologized, pulling my hand away.
He stared at me with eyes like he was seeing a ghost. “You’re awake.” His free hand cupped my cheek.
“Yeah, where am I?” I asked the brunette.
“The medical wing in the king’s castle. You’ve been here asleep for the last two days.” Levi responded.
Everything came back to me.
“Did it work? The plan?” I sat up.
“Yes, now rest, Starlight. We need you for another mission.” Levi squeezed my hand.
“Captain…” I was speechless.
“Call me Levi when we’re alone, Starlight.” Levi’s thumb rubbed my cheek.
“A-alright, Levi.” I didn’t know what to say.
“I’m glad you’re alright, Starlight.” He smiled gently at me.
“I thought that part was all a dream…” I whispered quietly.
“It wasn’t, I’m glad Hange was able to get the bullets out in time for your body to go into overdrive and save your life. I’m glad I get to hold your hand and talk to you even if it is one last time.” Levi spoke.
“I’m glad too, Levi…” I replied, tears threatening to spill across my cheeks.
“Don’t cry, I’m here now, Starlight. I’m not going anywhere. I promise.” Levi moved from the chair beside the bed to sitting next to me on the side. He had drawn his hand from my cheek making it feel cold.
“Levi?” I whispered.
“Yes, Starlight?” Levi responded softly.
“What are we now?” I asked softly.
“Well what do you want us to be?” Levi started drawing circles on my hand clasped in his.
“I’d really like to be yours.” I looked deep into his eyes.
“Mine?” He spoke softly, also looking deep into my eyes.
“Yes. Very much so…” I murmured.
Levi smiled. “I’d like that too. Can I kiss you?”
“Please do.” I breathed.
Without any hesitation he pressed his lips gently against mine.
The kiss was soft and sweet. Levi pulled away a few seconds later.
“Was that alright?” Levi asked me.
“Yes. Another?” I requested.
Levi smiled again, “Of course, my love.”
Butterflies erupted in my stomach at the nickname.
Levi leaned back in for another kiss. This time it was slow, romantic. He must’ve been testing the waters before.
His tongue swiped across my bottom lip. Taking the que, I opened my mouth and he slipped his tongue in. The wet muscle explored my mouth and danced with my tongue. My free hand found its way into Levi’s hair.
When we pulled away I was breathless. “I love you, Levi.” I breathed.
“I love you too, Starlight.”
Moth to a Flame: Levi Ackerman x Fem Reader
C H A P T E R T E N
chapter synopsis: Levi sets some ground rules for your rekindling of your relationship.
ao3
Tumblr media
Your heart races as you wake up, watching the sun peer in from the window adjacent from Levi's bed. You press your palm to the matress, hoping to feel skin.
Nothing but sheets.
You hear Levi spit into the sink. He always brushed his teeth first thing in the morning, he hated the thought of morning breath.
Your heart rate went down when you realized you woke up still in his room. You weren't kicked out, he didn't wake you up to leave.
Levi walked into his room, looking like the Gods took their time creating him. His abdominal muscles lead to his 'v' line, where his boxer briefs started.
"I would kiss you, but I need you to brush your teeth first." Levi ran his hand through his hair, walking toward his office.
"Ok. I'll go back to my room."
"No. You have a toothbrush here."
"The same one from the last time?"
"No. I got you a new one." Levi looked at you like you were stupid. "You can't keep toothbrushes that long. It's unsanitary."
You raise your eyebrow and walk to the bathroom, where you see a toothbrush in its own container. You smile at the sight and start brushing your teeth.
Once you finish brushing your teeth, you find Levi already in his office chair, scanning a pile of paperwork on his desk.
You lean down to his eye level and purse your lips. "All clean."
Levi pressed his lips to yours, bringing his hand to your cheek. You leaned your cheek into his palm, observing his features.
"You're not on the mission for tomorrow." Levi let go of your face, looking back at his paperwork.
"Why is that?"
"Because I need to make sure you're okay. You just healed."
"The doctor cleared me. I'm -"
"Can you please listen to me instead of protesting everything I say?"
"You assume you know what I'm feeling and how I'm feeling. I'm not helpless, Levi."
"We need to set rules if we want this to work." Levi shook his head, peering at you through the jet black fringe in front of his face.
"Okay." You sit on top of his desk, gently moving a pile of papers to the side.
Levi leaned back in his chair, spreading his legs slightly. "1. You have to listen to me, especially when it comes to battles."
You rolled your eyes at the rule. "Next."
"2. You have to break the news to Kirstein. Obviously."
"Fair."
"3. You stay with me every night."
You nod. "Can I suggest a rule?"
"Try me." Levi laced his fingers together.
"You have to tell Erwin and Hange about us." You lean in, your nose almost brushing his.
"How do you know I won't lose my title?"
"Levi. We're in a war. I think the last thing they're worried about is Captain Levi Ackerman, aka, humanity's strongest soldier, getting distracted. You were born to fight. Anyways, they'll probably be happy that you have someone. I know Hange will be ecstatic."
Levi looked down, pondering different scenarios that could happen. "What if you're not allowed to be on my squad?" He looked at you. "You're the second strongest to Mikasa. It would be a shame to lose you as a soldier on my squad."
"We can deal with that if the opportunity is presented to us." You scrunch your nose, hoping that that opportunity never comes. "This doesn't have to happen all today. I just want you to work on it."
Levi nodded, pressing his palms to each of your thighs. "You should start with rule number 2 today, though." He kissed your lips gently. "I have to go over some of the mission plans for today. I'll see you later." he caressed your face before returning his focus to his paperwork.
You sigh thinking about how you have to essentially break up with Jean. Levi is worth it, but you don't like hurting someones feelings either.
You make your way back to your room, where Mikasa and Sasha are waiting for you.
"Uh, where the hell have you been?" Sasha looked up from her book.
"We thought you were with Jean... then Jean came here looking for you." Mikasa said.
"If I tell you guys something, will you promise me, swear on your lives, that you won't say a word?" You sit at the edge of Mikasa's bed.
"Of course."
"Yes."
"I'm seeing Captain Levi."
"Oh, NO ONE saw that coming." Mikasa rolled her eyes, her tongue spewing with sarcasm.
"What?!" You look at Sasha. "Does everyone know?"
"We all had a feeling, which is why we were all surprised you got with Jean." Sasha shrugged. "Personally, I didn't know Captain Levi could convey anything other than orders."
"He can convey a lot." You smirk, raising your eyebrows. Mikasa and Sasha laughed, throwing their pillows at you.
"So... how are you gonna tell Jean?" Mikasa looked at you.
"I'm not sure, I-"
You were interrupted by a familiar knock.
Hint: It's not Levi.
Attack on Titan - Hajime Isayama Vol.13-16: A “there’s still a lot we can do inside... like knitting” commentary.
-Look at the cover of volume 13, all of my darlings on the cover looking badass.
-I read the chapter title “Squad Levi” and I’m just grinning from ear to ear.
-Eren did turn into an indecisive whiner for a bit, you’re right, Jean. You’ve both changed based on your experiences, isn’t it great
-D o m e s t i c i t y, help! Help, this is soft!
-Levi just loooves talking about toilet stuff.
-People get broken in such subtle ways throughout the story. So quietly. It’s not a huge flashy thing, and they’re still them when it comes to big moments, but in the small intimate moments they get more hesitant, more cautious.
-The fact that Hange’s answer “There’s still a lot we can do inside... like knitting” is said in earnest
-Hahaha, is Titan Eren writing with a freakin log?! Lmao, amazing.
-Yes, random person, Levi is smol bean, what about it?!
-The Survey Corps not working hard enough? The disrespect of the randos, ffs.
-I WANT TO READ THE J-POP NIGHTMARE ARC!
-What is this sulky Levi doing on the cover of volume 14
-”We just have to enthrone Historia Reiss as the Queen,” he says. There’s nothing JUST about that, Erwin!!
-The variety of outfits, I love it.
-Wait, Levi ACKERMAN? What’s he to Mikasa?!
-Well. That plan with Reeves went well. *cries in merchantese*
-See Squad Levi and Hange’s people turn into outlaws or sth
-Why do you show me people in hoods, I’m weak for fictional people in hoods.
-Hold up hold up, Kenny is also an Ackerman? Am I misunderstanding something? Am I experiencing a conundrum of Ackermans?
-The scale of everything is getting so big. And I really like the action scenes.
-To be Armin, to have killed your first human, and to have LEVI talking to you about it. True hell. He doesn’t have the manners is what I’m saying!
-Oh wait, he’s not doing too bad tonight. Way to go, Levi.
-When are we getting the juicy Levi backstory?
-”Captain Levi... in the flesh...” That’s right, Marlowe, that’s how I react too whenever Levi appears.
-”It was everyone’s individual choices that brought change to our world.” I’m crying and you can’t stop me.
-The fuck are they doing to Eren. The fuck is he in chains? RELEASE HIM!
-Yeah, no, I hate this the most, unchain Eren now.
-No!! Baby Titan Eren killed his father?!?! I gasped so loud (I assume he was also a Titan, with the whole turn into a Titan and eat a Human Titan so that you can control it?).
-No, I don’t buy the Grisha slander, we need to get to that basement.
-I’m gonna slap Historia so hard.
-Ugh, Baby Eren’s little hand on Grisha’s adult hand as he tries to stop him from injecting him, little baby :((((
-I’m reading this so consistently and intensely that I’m pretty sure when I’m done everything will be a blur.
-I can’t even imagine how angry the Survey Corps must be. I’m livid.
-Asdfsfd, Levi and Mikasa synchronized jump out of the smoke, help.
-Jean killed! Jean killed!
-The audacity to call Squad Levi et al monsters when Kenny’s gang was literally waiting to kill them in ambush!
-Listen to him, Historia, listen to Eren! (For context on how ridiculous I’m being, Eren is currently saying “Mmmff!! Mmmhh!!”)
-Oh, Levi’s Kenny’s nephew then? Mikasa’s cousin?
-I want to smack Historia so hard.
-Hold up hold up, Eren, easy there on the guilt trip. This family has had this damn power for one hundred years, why would FRIEDA change the world, why didn’t they change the damn world earlier, it’s not adding up!
-Thank you, Historia! Like I said!
-The masterful, masterful way that everything in Historia’s life has led to this moment. That every self-empowering interaction between two side characters led to Historia rejecting the serum.
-Shut up with your pseudo-shonen protag bullshit, Eren, you’re not being eaten, it’s bad for everyone if you DON’T keep on living, shut up shut up shut up!
-Historia responded with “Shut up, you stupid crybaby,” and now I love her.
-Yeah, so, fuck what I said, I love Historia. My apologies.
-”You hear me, shirtless wonder?!” Hahaha, J E A N!
“Everything will be better in the morning. It always is.“
// @hopeformankind AT ANY muse of yours... my brother in christ woke up early from his ouchie-wouchies with eren and now he must suffer the consequences of 'beating the fuck out of a manchild'... he may or may not be talking to himself here LDFHKLSDHKFS
Connie had come to visit the Commander while he recovered and every time he'd visit Erwin would be asleep....and understandably so considering how he was in a fucking coma for so long after picking a fight with Eren....and winning.
Honestly they owed this man so much, Connie wasn't even sure where to begin but didn't hesitate to move towards the bedside when the blond suddenly spoke.
Tumblr media
" C-commander Erwin??? You're awake!?" he gasped, according to the doctor he wasn't expected to wake for another 3 weeks....this man certainly defied the laws of nature....why couldn't he do that?
" A-ah hold on!" Connie stumbled away from the bed to open the door to the room before shouting " Hey Commander Erwins awake!" within seconds footsteps could be heard rushing over, it was the 104....or what was left of them.
Tumblr media
" Ah! Commander you're really awake..." Armin said a bit shocked, he knew that even Connie wouldn't joke about something like this so why was he so shocked by it?
" How are you feeling? You must be so dazed and confused..." Armin muttered a bit with a sigh before Jean walked over to glance down at Erwin " Captain Levi was worried about you, we all were sir. It was dangerous taking Eren on like that." he said as if to reprimand his superior....it wasn't intentional of course....
Mikasa stood in silence for a moment at the doors entrance before slowly making her way besides the others who crowded the Commanders bedside, she didn't hold any malice towards the man but it didn't stop her heart from aching " I'm glad you're awake sir..."
requested by: anon
warnings: Canon!verse, age gap ig? b/c reader is a scout (but of age).
synopsis: At Utgard Castle, the conversation turns to you and your hair habits- catching the attention of a certain Captain.
wordcount: 1.5k words
Tumblr media
Your hair was not usually the topic of conversation amongst the Scouts, but for some reason the conversation was drawn to you today. They had been discussing each other’s hair and washing habits, going around the table and volunteering information.
“I think Mikasa has the best hair.” Jean shyly added, the bridge of his nose a rosy pink.
“Of course you do.” Eren scoffed.
“I don’t think I have much to add to the conversation.” Connie announced, earning giggles from the group. His bald head was evidence he felt out of place in the discussion.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen Y/N with her hair down.” Historia commented, turning to face you at the table.
“Huh?” You looked up from your pile of sludge, distastefully setting it aside after you swallowed the small bite of food you decided to sample.
“It’s true,” Historia insisted. “Not even when we’re going to sleep. You always have it in a bun.”
You shrugged. “It’s just easier.”
Mikasa murmured her agreement, and the group pondered your response before Ymir spoke.
“It must be really long by now. Especially if you’ve never cut it.” She was eyeing your bun suspiciously, as if in disbelief.
“It’s just too much work to style it.” You replied. “And it keeps it out of my eyes.”
Satisfied with your response, the group’s conversation shifted into other subjects, allowing you to get up silently and place your plate in the wash bin. Captain Levi hated when the Scouts didn’t pick up after themselves, and you did not want to get on his bad side.
“I was unaware lunch required incessant, brainless, chatter.” Levi suddenly spoke, causing the scouts to snap to attention. Behind him was Hange, bouncing on the balls of their feet as they greeted everyone in excitement.
“Hiya! You all look so cute in your civilian clothes, I almost forgot you were actually people!” They cackled, earning some groans from Eren and Ymir at their joke.
“Captain Hange,” Historia spoke up, a mischievous glint in her eye. “What is your opinion on our hair?”
“Your hair?” Hange exclaimed, earning them an irritated glare from Levi. “Individually, or as a whole?”
Historia shrugged. “Who’s hair interests you the most?"
Hange murmured in thought, scratching their temple with a finger. “What an idiotic question.” Levi scoffed, passing by you to pick up an apple and lean against the counter beside you.
“You shush, old man.” Hange retorted. Levi simply grunted, which surprised you as if any of the scouts had replied that way he would have fed them to the titans. “Hmm, let’s see. I think Eren’s has potential, it’s very luscious.”
“Potential?” Eren cried, offended.
“Ooh, Jean’s is odd, but I’ll have to pass.” Hange continued, either oblivious or unbothered by the undignified reaction that left Jean.
“I like Historia’s! Very bright. Ooh, and Y/N. I think she’s hiding some beautiful locks with that knot.”
You chuckled. “I don’t think it’s as interesting as you think.”
Levi finished his apple, heading for the trash to dispose of it, as this conversation was of no use or interest to him you assumed.
“Will you ever let us see it? C’mon, it’s just us. Your bestest friends.” Sasha insisted.
You contemplated it for a second. You weren’t adverse to the concept, and you weren’t exactly insecure about it. You just didn’t think much of it, seeing your hair as more of a nuisance than an accessory. You were more focused on tasks at hand, or on not dying (which was probably more important.) You shrugged.
“Sure, I don’t see the harm. But I’m sorry if I disappoint, although I’m not responsible for your expectations of my hair.” You giggled good naturedly.
The group laughed at your comment.
“Aw, I was expecting some like, forest animals to come out.” Connie teased.
“You might be surprised.” You replied in an ominous tone, causing you all to erupt in another fit of laughter.
“Okay, okay, let’s see.” Sasha prodded.
You began unwinding the tight knot that you routinely wore, finding it almost second nature to twist your locks into the signature bun every morning. As you began unwinding, you gave your head a good shake to undo any flatness your hair might have acquired. You released your hair, and it fell over your shoulders in deep waves.
You heard a loud smack, and you along with the rest of the Scouts turned in alarm at the source.
Captain Levi had unceremoniously come into contact with the pillar in the middle of the room, rubbing his forehead with a sour expression on his handsome face.
“Are you okay, sir?” You were quick to ask.
He glanced at you quickly, and you noticed his blush increased. He then tsked, hiding his gaze from you. “You didn’t see anything.” He muttered.
The Scouts numbly nodded, too afraid to oppose him/
“Well, what’re you standing around for? Get to cleaning.” He snapped, storming off.
After the short man had left, the teenagers giggled quietly.
“That was odd.” Bertholdt remarked. “He’s usually hyper aware of his surroundings, considering his stature.”
“Maybe he saw something that distracted him.” Historia giggled, sweeping the floor with a broom.
“Like what?” You questioned obliviously, dusting a cabinet. Your hair remained down, as you had been too caught up in checking if Levi was okay to put it back up.
“Hmmm… maybe you, looking gorgeous with your hair down for the first time?” Historia replied nonchalantly.
You felt blood rush to your face. You weren’t arrogant enough to assume you could distract men with your beauty, so to even imagine your looks distracting the Captain Levi? Humanity’s strongest soldier? There was no way.
You shook your head at Historia’s unsound observation. “Now you’re just making things up.”
“No,” Ymir spoke. “I saw it. He was for sure staring.”
“You think the captain has a crush? On Y/N?” Eren whispered, pausing his own broom strokes to stare wide-eyed at Ymir.
Ymir shrugged, leaning back in the chair she had not left since the rest of them had shot up to clean. “He seemed like he enjoyed the view.”
You held your face in your hands, the implications of what they were saying flustering you more than you wished to express. It was not a very well kept secret that you had a minor crush on the Captain, but you never pursued it as you found it stupid to even think Levi would be interested in anyone, much less a Scout. You hated how their teasing tone made your stomach flutter with hope.
“Pftt,” You rolled your eyes. “He was probably just thinking about our next move. It must not be easy having so much on your back.”
“If you say so.” Sasha mumbled, staring at a basket of bread in the corner wistfully.
You did say so, but you deeply hoped you were wrong, and that even for a moment you had caught Levi's attention.
Tumblr media
It was true. Levi wasn’t distracted easily. He couldn’t afford to be, so he was always vigilant of his surroundings and anything that could be considered a threat. So he was way aware of the conversation that was unfolding as he tossed the remnants of his food in the trash.
To say he hadn’t noticed you would be a lie as well. He had seen the potential in you- while you weren’t rowdy or arrogant like Eren or Jean, or an extremely skilled soldier as Mikasa, you had your own qualities that attracted Levi. You were smart, for one, your passion was deep and you could be strong willed. Your looks were just another factor that made you appealing, in Levi’s opinion.
Levi didn’t notice many people. He wasn’t easily distracted, but someone had to be special for him to really engrain them in his mind or for him to even catch the differences in their appearance. So imagine his surprise when he was walking back to the kitchen and there you were, hair falling over your shoulders wildly. He felt his breath catch in his throat, and he didn’t even realize when he was colliding with the pillar, a resounding smack as his pale forehead impacted the column.
“Are you okay, sir?” He heard your voice above the other sounds of concern the group emitted, and it made him want to melt into a puddle on the floor and disappear. Why did his tough exterior crack around you? No matter how hard he tried, he always resulted making a fool of himself with you more than anyone else.
“You didn’t see anything.” He snapped. He desperately hoped his blush wasn’t noticeable, as he felt his face blazing and he was sure it had nothing to do with the temperature inside the stuffy castle.
Later in his room, Levi silently pondered if you had been able to see through his bluff. Perhaps he liked you more than he let on. Maybe he thought you were prettier with your hair down. One thing he was certain of was that he would try his best to pretend he didn’t see you- even if you were the only one he actually noticed.
