Ever 9 experiencing depression, anger, grief, pain and fear knowing that he'll have to leave Chu Yi Ping and trying to wean Chu Yi Ping off of him, off of loving him, because he knows he can't stay and he wants him to be okay without him is heartbreaking. Because it's about trying to spare him pain but it truly isn't helping him at all.

And he is breaking Cu Yi Ping's heart even more, breaking him apart, even as Ever 9 falls apart himself.

Chu Yi Ping is truly suffering and ever 9 was just trying to save him from that pain and couldn't, he truly couldn't because the love between them has transcended code.

And, back at their home, Ever 9 removes himself entirely, trying to erase his own memory and existence, trying to leave Chu Yi Ping with any chance of moving on even though all he wants is to stay with him.

My entire heart. He burns the photos. Ever 9 is trying so hard. He's gone back to white, he's trying to erase his own color, his own self, trying to leave a hope that he can leave and that Chu Yi Ping can move on.

This is a broken man, a man who is hoping more than anything that Chu Yi Ping can find a life after him because he cannot stay and he cannot keep letting this happen.

The love changed the code and turned Ever 9 into himself and he is tearing himself apart hoping that Chu Yi Ping will go on when he knows he can't be the one to go on.

The two men who fell in love so deeply it gave them color and changed the very code of their existence and the very code of their life.

The agony of two people who don't want to be parted but see no other way to guarantee their lives together because there is no life together nor a life apart, not truly.

The final scene being both of them back to their original colors, lacking all the blues and the pinks that had grown on them and brightened their lives? Back to earth tones and white but no longer either of them pure. Ugh, my heart.

Please give them a happy ending. That preview is terrifying.
