In your Photography account, what type of camera do you use? Your photos are beautiful btw! Do you use your photos as inspiration for your 3d art as well?
Thank you!
My camera is Nikon D5000 with 18-200mm lens.
And yes, I really use my experience in photography in my 3D art as well, trying to make my renders look and feel like photos of fantasy creatures. It's important for me to show my creatures being alive, not just the fact that I can make models. So I kind of imagine I'm photographing them, making many different renders and choosing the best ones - just like I do with photos, as I can take a photo of one thing many times and then choose the only best photo.
In both photography and 3D renders, I am guided by my own sense of composition and beauty, plus I use similar filters and post-editing things for both my photos and 3D renders, so I think they might have a similar vibe! ^^
I also tried to make 3D scenes literally based on my own photos. For example, the tree roots here is a 3D model made from my own photos (I used Agisoft Metashape). I haven't experimented much with this, but I really like this idea and it's more flexible and realistic than trying to just insert models into photos.
