“Are you sure you don’t want anything?” You call out as you gather your things in the kitchen, your back turned to the guys as David sighs quietly to himself.
Ilya can’t help but roll his eyes at David’s lovesick expression that remains plastered across his face whenever you’re around. “Dave,” Ilya slaps his chest, causing David to snap out of his trance.
“No!” David blurts out, and you turn around quickly.
“Okay,” You nervously chuckle, thinking nothing of it as you head towards the front door. “I’ll see you later.”
With that, you close the door behind you, and David groans loudly as he buries his face into his hands whilst Ilya and Zane share a knowing look.
“Dude, you gotta get it together.” Ilya states as David shakes his head in his hands. “It’s only Y/n, we’ve known her since High School.”
“That’s the problem,” David mumbles. “it’s Y/n.”
It was true, David had known you for many years but for at least half of them he was sort of (most definitely) in love with you whilst you remained oblivious to it. He grew up alongside you as you had boyfriends, was the shoulder for you to cry on after a breakup and one of your best friends. Yet, David always wished he could’ve been something more.
There had been moments between you both, flickers of something more than just friendship, but nothing came of them.
Yet, David had moved on and was happy. At least, he thinks he’s happy until you walk into any room he’s in with your bright smile and joyful laughter; before he realises David’s back in High school, pining after his best friend.
“Look, David, you have a girlfriend.” Zane states, knowing Taylor is out of town currently. “You can’t be drooling over Y/n like this.”
“I know, I just,” David sighs as he thinks of you, knowing he should think of Taylor in that way. “whenever she’s around I just forget any other girl exists, and I just want to be with her.”
Ilya rolls his eyes once more. “God you need help.” He mutters as he rises to his feet, clapping his hands together as both David and Zane look up.
“What are you talking about?” Natalie speaks up as she walks through into the open space with Todd by her side.
“About David and Y/n.” Zane motions to David who simply shrugs his shoulders meekly at Natalie’s raised brow.
“She finally tell you then?” Todd smiles brightly, unaware of Natalie’s eyes widening. “Why’re you all looking at me like that?” Todd asks as wide eyes stare at him from across the room. “Oh no.” He mutters.
“Oh no is right.” Natalie remarks.
“Y/n likes David?” Ilya asks, sounding astounded by the idea as he looks over at David and back to Natalie. “You sure?”
Natalie sighs before nodding. “She has for a while now,” Natalie starts, and David falls back down into the sofa, his mind dazing over in shock as Natalie continues. “but then David started dating Taylor, so she felt like her chance was gone.”
“Okay,” Ilya begins pacing around the room. “so, Y/n likes David, David likes Y/n, but David also likes Taylor.”
“Thank you Captain Obvious.” Natalie mutters. “Look, David, you gotta sort this.”
“But how?” David asks weakly as he looks around at his friends before Ilya’s face lights up.
“I’ve got an idea.” Ilya smirks as he rushes out of the room, returning with the portable whiteboard. “We make a pros and cons list.” He suggests, ignoring Natalie shaking her head.
“Ilya, that is a terrible idea.” She tells him, but Ilya chalks it up on the board instead.
“Actually, it might not be that bad.” David comments, now standing up as he approaches the whiteboard and twiddles the pen in his fingertips as he eyes the pros and cons list. “If I can think of more cons, then I’ll know she isn’t right for me and Taylor is.”
“Your logic is so fucked.” Todd looks down to Natalie who remains silent, hoping that something will come of this for everyone’s sake.
*
Exhaling deeply, David stands back as he admires the board completely covered in the pros and cons of possibly dating you. “I never realised there could be so many.” David half laughs, now feeling more conflicted than ever before.
“Yeah, this is way harder than I anticipated.” Ilya comments, resting his hands on his hips. “Anyway, wanna order food?”
David nods as he walks out from the room, going to grab his phone whilst Ilya heads into the bathroom.
Both remain unaware as the front door opens, and you walk in with bags in hand. “God, it was crazy out there.” You huff, placing the bags on the kitchen counter. “Even though you said you didn’t want anything, I got you guys Starbucks!” You call out, picking up your drink as you notice the whiteboard out and covered in writing.
You can’t help but be intrigued by the board, and as you read over it, your heart drops. The board is about you, your pros and cons in David’s eyes.
“Y/n,” Ilya speaks up softly, emerging from the bathroom as he sees you standing there, trying to force back tears in your eyes as you remain still, gaze fixated on the board. “I can explain, we can explain.” Ilya starts, but you hold your hand up, silencing him.
“Ilya, I ordered pizza from-” David’s voice becomes closer until he’s stood metres from you and his smile drops instantly. “Shit.” He mutters. “Y/n, I, you weren’t supposed to see this.”
A light scoff leaves your lips as you step backwards, glaring to David. “Gee, I wonder why.” You retort. “You’re unbelievable David.” Your voice softens as you turn around, grabbing your bags from the counter and leave without saying another word, too afraid of your own voice and what will be said.
“Fuck!” David yells, gripping his hair in his fists as he groans loudly. “How could you do this to me, Ilya?!” David shifts the blame to Ilya who stares, utterly dumbfounded.
“I wasn’t the one who wrote the fucking list, David.” Ilya reminds David. “You gotta talk to her, man.”
“I,” David starts, but Ilya stops him.
“No, I mean right now.” Ilya states firmly, pointing to the front door. “Go, you idiot!”
Without needing to be told a third time, David jogs over to his front door, opening it and thankfully, you’re still loading your shopping back into the car as you wipe your eyes repeatedly.
“What, David? You wanna tell me about my pros and cons?” You speak up, slamming your boot shut as you near your car door.
“No, I, I wanna explain, as it wasn’t fair you saw that. It wasn’t something you should ever have seen really.” David begins to try and explain, but seeing you so upset, it causes his mind to fall apart. “Y/n, I, I know we’ve always been friends, and I’ve always cared about you- which you knew already.”
“Thought I did.” You mumble to yourself, causing your heart to ache even more.
“But I gave up the possibility of us ever being together a while ago, and then I met Taylor.” David tries to sound happy about his relationship, that it’s a good thing that he moved on. “Before I knew it I was swept up in this new relationship, and then you came back from your trip, and my feelings kinda dug themselves back up and you’re all I can think about.” He half laughs, realising how ridiculous it all sounds.
“David, don’t, please.” You tell him, now opening your car door as you lean against it, but David simply steps closer.
“Y/n, I can’t help how I feel about you, and I know you feel the same.” A nervous smile crosses his lips as you stare blankly at him. “Todd told us, and that’s kinda what caused all this. We were trying to figure a way of trying to decide if we should date, and it was so fucking dumb as I already know you, and I know you’re close enough to perfect.” David laughs light-heartedly. “And I’m so sorry I hurt you Y/n, just please, give me a chance?”
Silence falls between you both as you remain lost in thought. And then, you break it as you exhale quietly. “You’ve got Taylor, David. I can’t do that to her.” You force a small smile, ignoring the tears that fall down your cheeks. “Maybe we just weren’t to ever be.” You chuckle, forcing back pain in your voice as you climb into your car.
“Taylor broke up with me.” David blurts out, just as you’re about to close your car door.
“What?” You ask, staring up at him as he stands in front of your door.
Lowering his gaze, David tries to keep himself composed. “She broke up with me before she left. She knew something wasn’t right  between us and didn’t want it to carry on and get messy.”
“Why didn’t you tell anyone?” You can’t help but ponder over why he never spoke up, listening along with stories as you all sat together in his house and would leave to speak with her. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Because all I want to do is kiss you, Y/n.” David admits. “I want to be there with you in the mornings, make breakfast or try to at least. Sing shitty songs in the car and film dumb TikTok's together. I just wanna be beside you, and finally, let myself love you after all these years.” David confesses, feeling a weight lifting off his heart as he finally looks at you, seeing you focusing back at him.
“Wow.” You breathe out, now rising to your feet as you move past your car door, closing it as you stand in front of David. “You actually love me?”
David laughs quietly. “I think I always have, weird right?”
“Super weird.” You chuckle. “But kinda cool, cause I think I’ve always loved you too.”
“Oh,” David stumbles over his thoughts, as you lift your hand up, resting it on his shoulder. “that’s pretty cool. So er, what now?” He asks.
Running your hand along his shoulder, you move your fingers across to the back of his neck. “This is usually the part where you kiss me.” You mutter, smiling shyly to him as he nods.
“I think I can do that.” He whispers before resting his arm around your waist, tugging you closer into his embrace as his lips ghost yours. “I love you.” He breathes out as his lips part.
“I love you too.” You mumble back, finally allowing yourself to open up after all these years, never thinking dreams could come true.

Fallon
Tumblr media
Pairing: (David Dobrik x Reader)
Word Count: 1.2k
Warning(s): None
Summary: David Dobrik imagine where the reader is mentioned during his interview with Jimmy Fallon. Along with him marrying Ms.Nash, the topic of you two getting married comes up, which throws you for a loop.
Link to the Interview
__________
"What did I miss?" You asked Natalie as you returned from the bathroom and to the side of the stage.
You were currently in New York and on set for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. David was making his late-night show debut and you being a supportive significant other, you just had to be there.
"Nothing much. Jimmy and David just started talking about him marrying Ms.Nash." Natalie answered, and just as she did, you heard David talking about how it all began.
"I was sitting in the car with him, and he told me I would never find love, and so," David started, but was cut off by members of the crowd awing at what Jason said.
"He was just joking. He's a funny guy," David assured, causing the audience to chuckle.
Then he continued with his story, "I think it was that same night, I booked a flight to Boston, where his mother lives, and I proposed to her. I surprised her, and I proposed to her, and she was very confused. But when I told her that I want to become my buddy's stepdad, she was 100 percent in, and she thought it was the greatest thing," said David, almost rambling. To you, he was clearly nervous, but he was still excited.
"How old is she?" Jimmy asked before David could continue.
"I think she's 75 or 76," David responded, the crowd finding this funny.
"Yeah, so we flew to Vegas, and we got married there," your boyfriend further explained as Jimmy pulled a picture of a newly married David and Ms.Nash from his desk.
"Yeah, that's us getting married. She's so cute. She's so cute."
Jimmy started laughing and slapping on the desk before asking, "How cool is she to do this, by the way?"
"Oh my God, she's the best," David replied simply.
"So, now you're your buddy's stepdad."
"Yeah. So, after Vegas, I quickly took her to Hawaii. This was like all within three-four days without my buddy knowing. So I took her to Hawaii, and then we came back."
"You went on a honeymoon?" Jimmy interjected.
"Yeah, we went on a quick honeymoon," David responded as if it was the most normal thing to say. The crowd breaks into another laughing fit.
Jimmy laughs as well before commenting," You really commit to a bit."
"Yeah, he thought I was gone for work, and then I came back, and I showed him all the papers that I'm like legally now his stepdad. And everyone had a good laugh, so it was definitely worth it."
"Are you still currently married?" Jimmy interviewed.
'No, I got a divorce."
"Aw," Jimmy said despite his laugh that followed.
"Yeah, and that took me like six months to, like, get it alluded. It took like a really long time to go through all that paperwork," David mentioned, causing you and Natalie to huff at almost the same time. You both remember that time as if it was a horror movie. Those few months were a struggle, to say the least.
"Oh my gosh."
"Yeah, with all the lawyers and stuff, it was just a pain in the ass."
"Isn't that the truth," You mumbled to Natalie, causing her to stifle a laugh.
"So while all this was happening, you were dating someone else?" Jimmy asked once the audience's laughter died down.
"Uh yeah, I was and still am dating Y/N L/N," David answered, causing the audience to cheer and applaud at the mention of your name. The audience's excitement caused a smile to spread across your face.
"And how did Y/N take all of this?"
"Honestly, really well! David exclaimed, causing the audience and Jimmy to laugh once again.
Once David could be heard again, he continued, "We share a similar sense of humor, so we both agreed it was hilarious and therefore worth it," he explained.
"Have you both talked about marriage since then?"
"We have a bit, but nothing set in stone. We’re both still pretty young, so we have time. I do see us taking our relationship to that step one day, though."
David's confession though shocking you a bit, did bring another smile to your face. Like he said, you both had talked about it, but you didn't think it was serious. As the thoughts racked your mind, you feel Natalie nudging you jokingly as she wiggled her eyebrows. You rolled your eyes and turned back to the interview, just in time to hear Jimmy crack a joke.
"Without the divorce, of course," Jimmy joked, causing David, the audience, and yourself to laugh.
"Oh yeah, no. I am not going through that paperwork again."
"David Dobrik, everybody! We'll be right back with more Tonight Show." Jimmy ends, shaking David's hand as the show cuts to commercial. This being David's last segment, he hugs Jimmy before leaving the stage and over to you and Natalie.
"Babe, you did great, I don't see why you were so nervous," You said, bringing him into a tight hug.
"Did I? I feel like my voice cracked a lot, and I messed up some words."
"Only a little," You said, causing David to huff in annoyance at himself.
"Hey, look at me, you did fantastic," You reassured, placing each of your hands on the side of his face.
"Thanks," David mumbled before placing a kiss to your lips.
After he got over his minor mistakes, he was in a better mood, especially when you said you would get him Chiptole before heading to your hotel.
Once there, you and all the squad who joined you in New York got ready for a night of clubbing and partying.
As you got dressed, you decided to ask David about what he said during the interview."Can you honestly see us getting married one day?"
"Yeah, of course. We talked about this," David said calmly, barely looking up from his phone. Evidently, to him, it was apparent he meant what he said, but you were still a bit confused.
"I didn't know you were genuine," You stated, trying to catch his eye in the mirror you were getting dressed in front of.
"Of course, I was serious, David reassured, finally looking up from his phone and to you. You both made eye contact in the mirror before you decided to turn around and face him.
"You sure you're not just using me to become a citizen," You joked, crossing your arms defensively. Unfortunately, David decided to joke back by not responding to what you said. He only pursed his lips and blatantly avoided eye contact with you.
" David!" You yelled.
"I'm just kidding," He said, laughing and rising from his spot on your shared bed. David brought you in for a tight embrace, his arms around your waist.
"You better be," You threatened vaguely.
"And if I wasn't?" David wondered, challenging your supposed threat.
"Then I won't marry you," You stated without hesitation.
"Harsh. Don't play with my heart like that."
"Then don't play with mine. Come on; we have to go. Everyone is probably waiting for us," You said as you tried to remove your boyfriend's arms from around your body.
"Let them wait," David whispered before bringing you in for a lustful kiss. You easily reciprocated but went against it once David started making moves towards your neck.
"Nuh-uh, save it for the wedding night," pulling away from David's embrace and him out of the room grudgingly.
__________
Thank you all so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. I love David and the Vlog Squad. Considering I recently watched him on The Tonight Show I took it as the perfect opportunity to write about him. Feel free to let me know what you guys think!

He Understood When
David Dobrik X Reader
Summery: Ryland doest fully understand why you don’t like him like he like you until he sees you out with your friends at a party.
A/N: I use Ryland Lynch and the other Lynch’s for Y/N’s admirers more because I’m as familiar with them as I am as the Vlog Squad and I know they tend to run in the same circle of friends. Idea fully coming from the image of the second to last paragraph.
Warnings: Alcohol, smoking, recreational drug use, Y/N being an partier?
---
It was at a random party in the Hollywood hills that Ryland finally understood. Packed enough that, even outside, people were shoulder to shoulder. Alongside that, the music was so loud that a helicopter was sure to show up soon to scare everyone off the premisses. Ryland had already pregamed and was feeling a little tipsy following two of his brothers through the crowd to get more to drink. He finally got a cup in his hands when Ross nudged him, “Hey look Y/N is here,” he said pointing through the crowd.
And there you were, with your regular group of friends, pouring a bottle of clear liquid down one of their throats. Your head tilted back in laughter at the face the man made after you stopped pouring, turning to face the ring leader of your group, David Dobrik.
Ryland didn’t know much about David Dobrik other than the fact that he vlogged and had somehow wormed his way into being a mainstream media celebrity from doing just that. He hadn’t ever had the urge to sit down and watch one of his vlogs and he doesn’t think he ever will.
Ryland watched as you jokingly tilted the bottle towards David and he softly pushed it away from him with a small smile still holding his camera pointed at you. You laughed pushing the bottle off on one of the others you were with before following the first with David in tow, a shit eating grin on his face.
Ryland finally caught up with you later when he split away from his brothers to see what was going on in the backyard. He found you on the patio sprawled out between Bella Thorne and her girlfriend Tana on a comfortable looking outdoor couch. The three girls passing a blunt and a cigarette between them and you mumbling apologies about something you had done at one of their parties.
“I swear it was Dave’s fault,” You whispered loudly at Bella, “I mean Zane did it, but Dave is the one that gets us all riled up,” You said gesturing your hand loosely in the air, the other two girls laughing lightly patting the limbs of yours across their’s.
Ryland sat down taking ahold of a blunt from one of the others around the circle and passing it as you made eye contact with him.
“Ry-Ry,” You exclaimed pulling yourself from between the two girls and falling into the seat next to him, “I haven’t seen you in awhile.”
“Yeah,” He whispered, “since Rydel’s birthday I think,” He said taking a swig of his drink.
You shook your head, “No, no, no,” your finger waving around, “there was that time I ran into you in Vegas,” you said leaning over to where your feet had been previously grabbing at the bottle you left there and taking a drink. You made a face, much to Rylands amusement, before continuing the thought you had abandoned, “We were only there for, like, sixteen hours.”
He laughed, “I don’t understand how you guys do that,” his arm reached out disappearing behind you on the back of the couch.
You noticed, the intention sobering you up a little, “Yeah, but it comes with the job I guess,” you said pulling away a bit, “see an opportunity and take it.”
Ryland opened his mouth to ask if you wanted to hang out sometime, just the two of you, taking his opportunity, when two girls he vaguely knew to be friends of yours bound over babbling talking about needing to go to the bathroom now.
And like that you were gone.
Ryland had saw you three more times that night.
One time you were on top of a pool table making a bottle of champaign burst over the two girls from earlier and another time when you were playing a game of beer pong against his brother Rocky despite being distracted by your phone going off every few minutes.
The third time was when he was waiting outside with his brother’s for an Uber. He could hear you before he saw you. Your laughter clipped through the air catching his attention as David was attempting to get you into the passenger seat of his Tesla with no help from your guys’ friends.
“You think she’s good with them, Ross asked him, his bottom lib caught between his thumb and forefinger as he stared alongside Ryland.
They both watched as you looked up at David, your arms wrapped around his neck, and whispered something to him. David gave a small nod to you with a smile on his face before you lent forward giving him a small kiss. A comfortable, definitely not first, kiss. They watched as David whispered something back at you before you shot up giving him two more quick kisses before ducking down into the car making him laugh as he closed the door to walk around the other side.
“Yeah, no,” Ryland said watching the white car pull away from the curb, “I think she’ll be fine.”

“Scoot over,” Zane looked down at you, his eyes narrowed teasingly.
You grumbled, rolling over on the couch, giving Zane the opportunity to sit down –placing a huge bowl of popcorn in his lap.
You smiled, straightening up and reaching over to grab a handful, but your hand was smacked away.
 “Ow!”
“You have an entire tub,” you whined, reaching again, “Give me some.”
He raised the bowl out of your reach, “Nu-uh baby. Make your own.”
You huffed, leaning back and crossing your arms.
Seconds later you felt the couch dip next to you, a smile adorning your face as your boyfriend winked at you, handing you his bowl of popcorn.
You took it from him eagerly, leaning into him as he threw his arm over your shoulders.
“Thank you bub,” you hummed, melting into his side as he kissed your head.
David grinned, his hand traveling down to pinch your hip as he pulled you closer to him, throwing your legs over his lap.
“Yuck,” Zane shivered, scooting away from you, “I’m trying to eat here.”
“Don’t be jealous, baby,” David smirked teasingly.
 “I’m not, I’m appalled actually.”
“I can call Stass and ask her to come over?” You tilted your head innocently as David snorted next to you.
“You would do that?” Zane’s voice was higher than normal.
You pretended to think about it for a moment, before shaking your head with an evil grin, “I usually would, but since you didn’t want to share with me…”
“Y/n …” He whined, grabbing a pillow and smacking your arm with it as you laughed.
“Hey!” David grabbed the pillow from him, tossing it away with a glare, “Don’t make me get my taser.”
You laughed even louder as Zane immediately stopped his assault, grumbling profanities under his breath.
“What are we watching?” Natalie walked into the living room, joining the three of you in your weekly movie night.
“Maze Runner,” David said, reaching for the remote as you squealed in excitement.
 Natalie smiled, “Good choice, y/n.”
“How do you know she chose it?” David asked, pressing play, your eyes glued to the screen in anticipation.
Natalie snorted, “Cause she’s in love with Dylan O’Brien. Duh.”
You could feel David tense next to you but you ignored it, your gaze locked on the said actor on screen.
The four of you were mostly quiet for the first half of the movie, too enthralled with the craziness to talk. Zane had fallen asleep next to you, which was a miracle seeing as the screen was constantly filled with screams.
You usually loved when David made side commentary when the two of you watched movies; it made the overall experience more enjoyable. But this time, your mind was completely consumed with the gorgeous man on screen, so you replied to his comments with simple one-word answers. After a few times, you noticed this really began bugging him, which almost made you laugh. He was always craving your attention.
You smirked, placing your head on his shoulder as you watched Thomas run through the maze.
“He’s so fucking hot,” you mumbled, wanting to see what kind of rise you would get out of David.
You expected him to roll his eyes and make a sarcastic comment, but he was silent, his body stiffening under you.
You bit your lip, about to admit it was all a joke, when you felt it. His hand tightened around your thigh.
At first, you thought it was an accident, but when he began lightly massaging your skin, you knew he was doing it on purpose.
You gasped as his fingers trailed further up, his cold rings causing shivers to form all over your frame.
“David,” you hissed into his ear, your eyes locked on an oblivious Natalie.
He ignored you, his hand traveling up until it was massaging right under your clickbait shorts.
You shivered as his digits moved the light cotton material slightly to the side, exposing your core, before sliding a line up your slit.
Your hand was quick to grasp his, steadying his movements, “What the hell are you doing?” Your whisper was supposed to come out furious, but instead, you sounded as aroused as you felt.
“Nothing,” he shrugged, his hand wiggling out of your grasp and back down into your warmth.
You bit your lip as his long fingers began moving up and down your already soaked core.
You were thankful for the fluffy blanket covering your bottom half, keeping your boyfriend’s actions from anyone’s view.
 “David,” you warned softly, “S-stop.”
He smirked, leaning down to whisper, “No can do, bub.”
You gasped as he lightly bit the skin under your ear, “If you can’t handle the punishments, then you shouldn’t be such a bad girl.
You exhaled a shaky breath, your eyes rolling back as you saw his dark eyes, his arousal obvious.
“Be quiet, baby,” he rasped, slipping a finger inside you, your eyes shutting as your legs clenched around his hand.
You tried to control your breathing, your hands gripping his shirt as you tried not to make any sounds. You hated the smirk on his face, he knew how hard it was for you to stay quiet. You were usually loud, and he liked it that way.
It seemed like he wanted to get caught, he wanted you to throw your head back and scream as he pleasured you. But you weren’t going to let him win that easily.
You bit your lip to stop any sounds from escaping, your eyes shutting as you placed your face into the crook of his neck.
You yelped quietly, as he stuck another finger inside you, his long digits beginning to pump.
His thumb ran along your clit, eliciting a small whimper that only seemed to spur him further. His pace quickened, his fingers moving at an ungodly pace.
You couldn’t resist biting his shoulder as you felt the familiar tightness form between your legs.
“So tight,” his voice was low, raspy, “Can’t wait to feel you around my cock.”
You whimpered again, trying to hold your breath, your legs begging to tremble slightly.
“David,” you mumbled into his skin.
“I know bub,” he didn’t cease his pace, his fingers guiding you to completion, “Cum for me.”
You felt dizzy, biting his shoulder again as your cunt clenched around his fingers, falling apart around him.
He guided you through your high, a slight smirk on his lips at the knowledge that he could have you shaking with just his fingers.
You pulled away from him, trying to catch your breath, slightly opening your eyes as he took his fingers out.
You watched with wide eyes as he brought them up to his mouth, sucking them clean. Your teeth dug into your bottom lip, feeling wetness form between your legs again.
David winked at your flushed face, his arm wrapping around your waist to tug you closer again. You almost wanted to protest, feeling too worked up to be this close to him again, but you couldn’t resist.
Especially when he kissed your cheek lightly. You hummed as his kisses trailed your jaw down your neck.
“Why are you doing this to me?” You mumbled, getting more aroused by the second.
He tapped your bum lightly, “That’s what you get, princess. Looking at other men.” He tutted shaking his head.
You turned back to the screen, seeing that you were about half an hour from the end. You knew you couldn’t last that long, your legs clenching to keep your wetness from dripping onto the couch.
You smirked, looking back up at David innocently, “I can’t help it, he’s just so delicious. Makes me wonder what he – ”
His hand was gripping your ass so hard you were sure it was going to leave bruises, “Don’t you dare finish that sentence.”
His dark tone sent a rush through your body. You kept steady eye – contact, your tongue slipping out of your mouth to lick your lower lip. David’s gaze locked on you, made you smirk lightly, your eyes falling on the very noticeable bulge in his sweatpants.
 “That’s it.”
Before you could open your mouth, his arms had wrapped around you, picking you up off the couch, swinging you over his shoulder.
“David!” You squealed as he slapped your ass roughly.
“Where are you going?” Natalie’s sleepy voice asked as he passed her, “Movie’s not done yet.”
David didn’t stop, yelling back to her, “We’re heading to bed! Turn off the T.V. when you’re done.”
He slammed his bedroom door shut with a bang, making sure to lock it before walking you over to his fluffy bed and dropping you.
You gasped, his body falling on top of you in seconds, “You are so in for it now,” he growled, connecting your lips quickly as your body collided with his.

a/n: this wasn’t requested. i just felt like writing this and once i started i just couldn’t stop lol
based on vlog #531 «we had to call the paramedics!! (bad idea)» where david shows a mode on his tesla 😏
warning: a tad bit steamy 🤤
-
another long day of filming with your friend group was finally over. everybody had gotten their content and were good to go. as per usual some people would crash at david's seeing as how it had already passed midnight.
the rest of the group either had their own rides home or was riding with david, taking advantage of him and his handy dandy tesla.
jonah was in the back with trisha and jason whilst you got the pleasure of watching the streets from the front through his big windows. after dropping trisha and jason off at trisha's house you eventually made it over to the antonyan’s to drop jonah off.
«see ya,» david waved his hand loosely in the air as jonah stepped out of the car.
he turned in his seat to face you. «still down to crash at my place? there's really no problem in driving you home.» david shrugged with a smile on his face before turning around again to back up his car out of the driveway.
sleeping over at david's house only felt natural at this point. you were very close with both him and nathalie so they never minded. countless of nights had been spent on either the love sack or the couch, mostly because david loved having you by his side when he was up late editing, but also because you'd always spend most of your time there considering the drive home was too far to bother.
a part of you wanted to get home to your bed, but a bigger part of you wanted to spend the night with david again.
«no, i'll crash on the couch if you don't mind.» you smiled and fluttered your eyelashes. he let out a small chuckle in return and a smile before driving down the street.
you cherished every moment spent around david. it was like he brought out the best in you. you were never shy around him, and he felt kind of like a safe place. he enjoyed spending his time with you as well, and it showed on the way he behaved. yes, he was the goofy, funny, sweet guy everybody knew him by, but with you he was different. a good different. he had a certain look in his eyes whenever he’d gaze into yours. he’d do the smallest kind gestures, like pull out the chair for you, or smile wider at you than the other guys, and it was very clear he cared about you.
the drive home was just as any other drive home with david. you belted all sorts of songs, laughter filling the car, and shot a few bits for his vlogs. he loved the camera on you and the way you rolled with it whenever it was pointed at you.
as you approached his house, you made it through his gate and he smoothly parked the car. «think they’re asleep by now?» david asked, trying to catch a glimpse of any movement coming from the house through the big glass windows.
«probably not,» you chuckled, looking in the same direction as him. you furrowed your eyebrows and squinted your eyes, focusing on the little gap between the curtains and the wall. «i’m sure they found something to entertain themselves with» you laughed.
david reached for his camera resting between the two of you and placed it on top of the dashboard, hitting record. you didn’t pay it too much attention, as you had gotten used to the camera recording everything the majority of the time.
«speaking of entertaining...» david smiled to the camera and bit his lip before looking in your direction. you looked at him, slightly confused, as he reached over to the camera to hold it.
«tell me if this turns you on,» he started, a big smile forming on his face, as he adjusted himself in the seat. «let’s say i’m in the car with you, just chillin’, and things are going right.» he said, talking with his hands and looking at you. you nodded and smiled, patiently waiting for the peak of whatever bit this was.
he panned the camera from you to the touch screen of his car. «i go to my tesla, hit that button, and the heat turns on.» he explained and showed both you and the camera as he pressed a few buttons on the big screen. the screen turned black for a split second before turning into a loading screen and revealing a fake fireplace.
«that’s sick!» you gasped, taking in the technology that was in front of you.
«yeah? and then it starts playing music.» he smirked and looked at you as slow r&b music filled the car.
you licked your lips as a smile snuck up on your face. «so this is how you get laid?» you flirted, fluttering your eyelashes for comedy purposes, remembering the camera was still on you.
david let out a small chuckle at your question before placing the camera back down on the dashboard. his eyes gazing into yours as the calming music and the electronic fireplace relaxed your nerves.
leaning to your side you propped up, supporting yourself on the armrest console, looking at him with a small smirk forming on the corners of your mouth.
«is this the part where we kiss?» you whispered, glancing down at his lips before landing them back up at his eyes, feeding the camera some good footage and possibly clickbait.
he leaned in closer to you, resting his arm next to yours, nodding and biting his lips. «yeah.» he whispered as he looked down on your lips.
you swallowed hard as you felt your heart racing at his response. unsure of what to do, let alone how to act, your eyes left david’s and landed on the camera.
«haha, that’s a funny bit.» you laughed.
david had his eyes glued to yours. he shook his head as a small smile appeared on his lips and let out a chuckle. «it’s not a bit.» he smirked.
you pulled back a little to look at him, confusion hitting you as your eyes darted from the camera to him. «what?» you asked, tilting your head and scrunching your eyebrows.
he turned his head to the dashboard before looking back at you, leaning even closer to you now. «the camera is off.» he replied as he smiled softly at you, his minty breath lightly hitting your lips. «kiss me.»
your eyes widened at his words as you felt your heart beating a little faster, cheeks starting to become more flushed than they already were from just being around him.
«i really can’t tell if you’re being serious or not.» you nervously laughed.
your faces were mere inches away from eachother now, basking in eachothers presence.
«i am.» he whispered in a low voice, glancing down at your lips as he bit his bottom lip.
you felt instant butterflies in your stomach at his presence before he reached his hand forward to place it on your thigh, lightly grabbing the inside of it sending shivers down your spine, making the butterflies in your stomach turn into lions stampeding.
«yeah?» you asked quitely.
«yeah.» he assured, nodding his head slowly. «just tell me if you want me to stop.» he said as his nose brushed against yours, gently placing his palm on your jaw.
his warm breath brushed over your lips before his soft lips gently met yours. hesitant to kiss him back you slid your hands over his shoulders and wrapped your arms around his neck, finally pulling him closer towards you to deepen the kiss. you closed your eyes, enjoying the feeling of his soft, plump lips against yours, smiling into the kiss.
you pulled away, lightly biting your lip as he smiled at you, his cheeks blushing just as much as yours.
never had you thought you’d be kissing david. you had always imagined and wondered what it would be like, what it would feel like, and now you knew.
«we should get inside.» you giggled and leaned back in the seat, trying your best not to grin from ear to ear.
«good idea.» he chuckled and fixed his black cap before the two of you unbluckled your seat belts and walked to the house.

Too Cool for Parties
Here’s a quick little one-shot I wrote last night.
Summary: You meet David outside of a party, and he offers you a ride home.
Word count: 2,362
The air outside of the party was a nice contrast to the inside. Her skin felt like it could breathe out here, instead of being stifled by the wet heat of however many people filled a house.
“Are you ready to go?” Nora asked.
She took a sip of her warm beer and sat on the porch steps. Nora was the only person she really knew here, but she didn’t feel ready to go. It had been so long since she’d felt good enough to attend a party, much less get drunk without crying, and she didn’t want it to stop now. “No, I think I’m going to stay for a bit.”
“Are you sure?” Nora asked, slightly worried. “Can you get home?”
“I’ll just get an Uber or something,” she answered. The air felt too good—too alive—for her to get in a car right now. Sitting down made her aware of just how drunk she really was, and she could feel all of her weight pulling her down.
“Okay, well, call me if you need anything,” said Nora, who was still worried about her and just how fragile she may or may not have been.
I’m not going to fall apart like that, she thought. You don’t need to coddle me. She knew Nora meant well, but it was getting a little stifling to have everyone handling her like a newborn puppy. She needed Nora to just leave and trust that she could get home okay on her own.
As Nora walked away, the air got a little less sharp.
She took a deep breath and looked up at the sky. The stars weren’t that impressive in Los Angeles—there was too much light and the air was too thick. She longed for the stars back home in the Northeast, where you could practically feel them shining on your skin, like each was a little sun of its own.
The only noise came from the party inside. No one was coming or going, and she sat alone. It’s a tiny porch, she thought. There’s not room for anyone else here anyway.
She looked to her right, where there was a little bit of room. The blank space made her think about Ian. Maybe there is room for someone else. I wonder where he is right now.
She stopped herself. She was okay. She knew that she deserved more than he ever gave her, and had come to terms with the fact that he would never live up to the potential she had set for him. She still didn’t know whether that was his fault or hers. Did it even matter?
“It matters,” she said aloud—involuntarily, really.
The front door opened and noise poured out in a thick wave for a couple seconds, before whoever it was shut the door and stopped the flow of chatter and booming. She saw legs sit down on the opposite side of the steps, and looked up. She found a boy in all black, his face focused on a camera that he held over his lap. She could hear him playing back a video once, twice, three times. The faint light from the screen illuminated his face. It was soft, gentle, and sweet. His nose was a little too big for his face, but it made him look interesting and friendly somehow.
His shut the camera off and looked over at her. To her dismay, she was still staring at him. Their eyes met briefly, even in the sparse light of the outside.
“Party not cool enough for you, huh?” he asked. His voice was just as sweet as his face. His words spun together into one breath, one long word. It was a funny way of speaking. She could almost hear his mouth move in an overly-animated way.
She smiled. “It would seem the same applies to you, since you’re out here, too.”
He leaned his head back. “Ah! You got me there.” It was silent for a moment. “Actually, for real though, I don’t really like parties.”
“From the sound of your videos, I’d say you were enjoying yourself.”
He thought for a moment. “I go for my friends, but I leave really fast.”
“Is that why you’re out here? Leaving?”
“Can’t. My friends don’t want to yet, but it’s—“
“—way too hot in there, yeah, I know.”
He smiled at her from across the step, camera still clutched in hand. “Yeah, way too fuckin’ hot.”
He stared at her for a moment, like he was trying to make out her face in the dim lighting—trying to see if she was worth a conversation. That was her first instinct, anyway. Not every guy is like that, she thought. Don’t put him in a hole after a few sentences.
“I’m sorry, but can I come sit next to you?” he asked.
“Be my guest,” she answered. She could see his eyes light up even in the dark.
As he moved closer to her, she was able to discern more of his face. His eyes were dark—probably brown. His eyebrows sat low on his face, shading his eyes, deep-set in his head. His lips were full, both in shape and color, and had little tears where she knew he probably tore off the skin like she did when she was nervous. His hair was an absolute mess, but it suited him. It was a purposeful mess—a controlled disaster.
“What’s your name?” he asked.
“(Y/N),” she said. “What’s yours?”
“David,” he replied. “Are you waiting for your friends, too?” he asked.
“No, she left.”
“Left you here? Alone?” He sounded shocked. It made her laugh.
“Don’t judge her too quickly, okay? I told her to leave me here.”
“Why would you want to be at a party alone?”
His question held more weight than she thought he meant it to. It held talk about sadness, ex-boyfriends, and coddling friends. She admired him for asking something so secretly heavy.
“I—I haven’t really had fun in a long time. I wasn’t ready to leave and let the night be over just yet.” It was as honest as she could be without bringing up anything personal.
His eyebrows furrowed, and his face tightened. “I’m really sorry to hear that.”
It wasn’t an answer she was expecting. He knew nothing about her, but it felt like a genuine apology on behalf of the world.
“Thank you,” she said. “It’s okay, though. I had fun tonight.”
His face loosened up again, eyebrows calm and straight. “Good,” he said. “I hope I helped with that just a little.” A grin spread across his face as he pinched his fingers close together. She couldn’t help but smile back at him. He was childlike in the most admirable way—a way that didn’t make him feel immature, but made him feel like more of a human being than many people ever were.
He didn’t wait for her to answer before he continued the conversation. He was eager, and acted on what could only be instinct. “Do you want to see the videos I took of my friends?” he asked excitedly, with that same kid-ness about him.
“Sure,” she said, scooting closer until their arms pressed together. His skin was warm and comforting against hers. She looked up at his face in time to see color on his cheeks. Is he still just hot from being inside? She told herself that that’s all it could be. It is not our skin touching.
He turned on his camera and showed her clip after clip of young people doing stupid things—granted, stupid things that she had done before. Each one ran only a few seconds, but they were highlights—the peaks of the night. There was a girl dancing on a table, a guy on a stripper pole, someone doing a body shot, someone smashing a beer can over their head. After a couple more than she could count in her drunk state, he asked her, “Did you like them?”
“I think it’s crazy that you managed to look like you were having the best time of your life when you left early to come sit on a sad excuse for a porch with a girl you don’t know.”
He laughed, really laughed, at her answer. One side of his mouth curled up more than the other when he laughed, and he stuck his tongue out a bit. It added to his charm.
“That’s not true,” he said. “I know you.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah,” he said. “I know you’re too cool for parties and would rather sit on a sad excuse for a porch instead.”
There was his charm again. I don’t think he knows that he’s doing this, she thought. It all seemed so natural, as if he was unaware of how intriguing he really was. It only added to the feeling.
The two sat on the step for a while longer, exchanging flirtatious jokes and avoiding serious conversations. Sometimes he would steer too close to the hard stuff, and she’d have to steer him away, but he would get the hint and quickly follow her lead. He’s smart, she thought. He gets conversational cues. He made her laugh, and, more importantly, she made him laugh, too. That meant that she got to see his crooked-tongue-out laughing face again and again. It was an addiction at a certain point; she would say anything to make him laugh.
After a couple more sips of warm beer, she looked at her phone. The screen read 3:24 A.M.
“I should probably get home,” she said, with a pained strain behind her voice. She didn’t want to leave him. She didn’t want to have to ask for his number and hope and hope for him to message her back. She didn’t want to do the same thing that she knew would happen once she left him. It was the same thing that happened every time, with every nice boy that eventually would turn out to not be so nice.
“Do you want me to drive you home?” he asked instinctually.
“Oh, no,” she said. “I couldn’t ask you to do that.”
“You’re not asking, though,” he said. “I am.”
Her lips turned up and she felt a pull in her chest. “You really want to?”
He looked shocked. “Of course.”
“Should we wait for your friends?”
He squinted his eyes and tossed his head. “Nah, I’ll be back for them later.”
They got up and walked together a few houses down. She kept walking when he stopped to open the driver’s side door of a Tesla.
“This is your car?” she asked.
“Ouch,” he feigned. “What? You don’t believe me?”
She playfully hit his arm. “That’s not what I meant, and you know it,” she said. “It’s just really cool.”
As he slid into the driver’s seat, he said, “I know.” His words held the hint of a wink, but she imagined he was too shy for a real one.
After giving him directions to her house, they took turns playing songs on his phone. He liked the same kind of music as her, so it was hard to find songs that he didn’t already know. She wanted to stand out—she wanted him to remember her. He would comment on the music she played, or the music he played. I love this fucking song! Dude, this is, like, my favorite song. You have to listen to this one part after the chorus.
The ride home felt shorter than it should’ve been, and her wishes for some universal force to make traffic worse didn’t succeed. They were sitting in the car outside of her house. From the lack of lights, it looked like everyone was asleep.
“You got your keys?” he asked.
She reached in her pocket and held them up for him to see. “Yep.”
She didn’t know what to say. She didn’t want to scare him by seeming to interested, but she didn’t want to leave him without a trace either. It was an unbearable battle between the two sides of her that said be yourself and be cool, as though those two things were mutually exclusive.
“Cool,” he said. It seemed he didn’t know what to do either.
At the same time, they both tried to speak.
“You go,” she said with a laugh.
“Can I, like, have your number or something?,” he asked. Like before, he didn’t give her time to answer. “I’m sorry if that’s, like, out of line or anything. I don’t mean it that way. I just really think that—“
“Yes,” she said.
“Cool,” he said again, but this time looking much more excited.
They exchanged much more confident goodbyes, now knowing that their conversation wasn’t over with the car turning around. There’s potential now, she thought.
She quietly entered the house, being careful not to wake her roommates up. When she got to her room, she turned on the light and laid back on her bed. Slowly, a grin spread across her face. She knew she was drunk, but she knew that he liked her, too. In her head, she put together every piece of evidence she had for that fact. He wanted my number.
She showered slowly to try and ease the alcohol out of her veins. She admitted to herself that she was also going so slowly to give him more time to text her. Maybe I should’ve gotten his number instead, she thought. Fuck, what if he never texts me. Now I can’t even try to text him because he’s the one with my number, and I don’t have his. The worry of it all dragged her down until the water went cold, and she was forced to turn the water off.
Despite all of the dread and loathing, she couldn’t help but check her phone the minute she left the bathroom. Her heart sprang in her chest, like a weight had been cast off of her ribs. It was him.
- Hey, it’s David. I hope you’re not too cool to maybe let me take you to dinner tomorrow

“So, David’s gone for the night then?” Your roommate, Gee, stands in your doorway as you exit your bathroom after cleaning yourself up and changing into fresh PJs.
“Yeah,” You breathe out as you tug on your duvet, seeing the indent from where he was less than an hour ago, by your side. “sorry, did I wake you?” You ask, turning your attention back to her as a frown etches heavily in her eyes.
“Y/n,” Gee starts, stepping across the threshold into your bedroom and hovers beside you. “how much longer can you kid yourself with this?” She sighs as you collapse down onto your bed with a heavy heart.
“It’s fine, really.” You lie. “We made this arrangement ages ago, and it works for us.” Another lie, it might work for him, but you couldn’t deny the attachment that was forming in your heart for his.
“Remember who you’re talking to here,” Gee chuckles as she sits down on your bed and you lean against her, resting your head on her shoulder. “just don’t let yourself get hurt, okay? Promise me that at least.”
Gee holds her hand up, sticking her pinky finger out as you loop yours around hers. “I promise.” You mutter, hoping this was a promise you could keep to.
*
“And boom, there she was on the ground cradling her knee!” David laughs, looking through the footage on his laptop whilst Jason and Natalie sit either side of him, you across the room with Ilya.
“It wasn’t my fault, you should’ve warned me you had decided to prank Ilya.” You roll your eyes, catching David’s bright smile briefly directed your way. “Honestly that’s the last time I try and offer my services, David.”
“Come on, Y/n, you love me really.” David jokes, unaware of how heavy those words dig into your heart.
Silence falls for a second as David’s words linger and everyone's attention falls to you. You force a soft laugh from your lips, which seems to please David as he carries on editing, but Natalie remains unconvinced as she keeps an eye on you whilst you scroll through Instagram.
“You wish, Dobrik.” You retort, glancing up from your phone to see him looking back at you with a goofy grin, one reserved for these situations only.
After a while, Ilya shuffles on the other end of the sofa, kicking his feet out and jabs your side unintentionally. “Ow.” You mumble, catching Ilya off guard as he sits upright, rubbing his eyes.
“Shit, did I hit you?” Sleep remains heavy in Ilya’s voice as he reaches out, resting his hand on your arm.
“It’s okay, Ilya, just my side.” You smile, rubbing your side, unaware of the daggers from David being sent in Ilya’s direction.
“Sorry, I’m a wriggler when I sleep.” He winks, and you laugh lightly.
“I’ve had worse, trust me.” You joke with him, nudging his arm away as he lies back down whilst you return to your phone, catching sight of the time. “Oh god, I gotta go.” You quickly rise to your feet, David now averting his focus to you.
“Where you going?” David asks, his eyes refusing to leave you as you gather your things.
“An appointment, but I’ll see you guys tomorrow.” You wave to the others, but David stands up and follows you to the front door.
Holding it open for you, David hovers in the doorway as you take your car keys from your bag. “Wanna come over tonight?” He asks, licking his lips.
“Erm, I can’t tonight, maybe tomorrow?” You suggest instead, and David simply nods.
“Okay,” He comments. “good luck with your appointment.” He waves you off as you get into your car and as you go to reverse out, Taylor appears by the gates.
You wait for Taylor to pass you by with her bright smile as she almost skips over to David.
He always looks so happy to see her as he brings her into a tight hug, forgetting anyone else exists. Taylor walks into the house, and David doesn’t even spare you a glance as he closes the front door, slamming it shut.
*
“Y/n, that you?” Gee calls out as you close the front door.
“Who else would it be? A polite burglar?” You joke back as you kick your shoes off, walking past her room toward your own, but before you reach your bedroom door, you feel a tug on your arm.
Without a moment to react, Gee pulls you into her bedroom, closing the door behind her. “Okay, hi, sorry,” Gee mutters, a wild look of panic in her eyes as she begins to pace around the same ten steps.
“Gee can you stop moving, you’re making me feel motion sick.” You step forward, taking hold of her arms so she finally stands still and faces you. “What on earth is going on?”
“Well, someone knocked earlier and I thought you just forgot your key again, and I answered it and now David is sat in your room waiting for you to come home.” Gee quickly rambles, exhaling deeply as she finishes. “Please don’t be mad at me.”
“I’m not mad.” You tell her as hundreds of thoughts rush through your mind. “I just, I told him tonights not good for me, god, why can’t he get the message.” You groan, wishing you could slam your head against the door in peace without stirring David across the hall.
“What happened earlier today?” Gee asks, now crossing her arms as you sigh under your breath. “Because clearly, something did, based on how both of you are acting.”
You quirk a brow at her remark, how was David acting?
“Nothing really, I just told him tonights not good, and I had an appointment this afternoon.” You explain, and Gee chuckles under her breath.
“Maybe he thought you had an ‘appointment’ if you know what I mean.” She nudges you.
“What? No way.” You scoff. “If I met someone else I’d tell him.” You state, knowing you value his friendship above all else, even if he seems to forget that sometimes.
“Well, you can’t leave him waiting forever in there I’m afraid.” Gee reminds you as she stands aside, allowing you to reach for the doorknob.
“What do I say, Gee?” Your voice softens as you look up to her, pleading for some advice.
Lifting her hand up, Gee sticks out her pinky finger. “You made a promise to me last week, don’t let yourself get hurt.”
“I did, didn’t I?” You sigh, lifting your pinky up and looping it around hers. “Okay, I can do this.”
Opening the door, you close it behind you and take a brief moment as you stand in front of your own door, wondering what will happen the next time you exit it.
Pushing back your worries, you open your door and David rises to his feet, rubbing his hands across his jeans.
“Hey,” He speaks up. “how, how was your appointment?” His voice is soft, almost caring as you quietly sigh, removing your jacket and throwing it on your chair.
“Yeah, it was fine.” You brush it off. “Why are you here, David?” You don’t want to waste any time, and clearly, he’s taken aback by your question as his eyes widen for a second as he composes himself.
“Well, I just wanted to make sure you’re okay. Seemed a little off when you left earlier.” He shrugs it off uncertainly.
“It’s nothing really. But I told you I was busy tonight, so why are you here?” You ask, crossing your arms over your chest as you catch David’s eyes darting to the bed for a fraction of a second. “Course, that’s why.” You scoff. “Well, I hate to say you’ve had a wasted journey, Dave. I’m not in the mood.” You move forward, opening your bedroom door, but David remains still, frozen on the spot.
“That’s not why I’m here, Y/n.” David comments. “Do you really think that’s all I wanna see you for?” He almost sounds hurt as you lower your gaze to your carpet. “You’re my friend Y/n, before all of this,” Stepping forward, David rests his hand on your forearm and pulls you away from your door and over to your bed. “and I just wanna hang out with you, like old times.”
Looking up, you see his classic smile, the one you’ve genuinely missed that causes butterflies to flutter in your stomach and bees to swarm your mind.
“So, you wanna watch a movie with me?” You suggest, and David nods, taking his usual spot beside you on your bed whilst you search through Netflix.
As you pick a movie to watch, David’s phone pings and he picks it up, smiling down at it. You can’t help but sneak a glance, and the bees swarming your mind become reckless as the butterflies begin to fall into the pit at the bottom of your stomach; it’s Taylor.
“Sorry,” David mutters, unable to wipe the smile from his face as he glances up to you.
“I get it, don’t worry.” You whisper as you curl up under a blanket whilst David remains on top of it as you watch the movie together.
Slowly but surely, David begins to nod off, his head dipping away from yours.
You watch as he turns his back to you, lying on his side as the credits play and you’re left alone once more. “Goodnight, David.” You mutter, hearing a mumble from him in response as you lean over and kiss his cheek, brushing his hair out of his face.
Turning your TV off, you creep out from your bed, leaving David fast asleep as you tiptoe over to Gee’s room.
“Y/n?” Gee whispers as you open her bedroom door, thankful she’s still awake as you rush over to her, unable to stop the tears falling from your eyes. “Oh, Y/n.” She sighs, holding you close in her arms as you sob into her chest.
“I just wish I could be his favourite girl, Gee.” You manage to say through hiccups as you lift your head up and Gee wipes your eyes, a sad smile on her face. “But I made a promise,” You remind yourself. “and it’s about time I stuck to it.”
“You’ll be okay, Y/n.” Gee tells you, knowing it’s true. “Just gotta let your heart heal.” You can feel the pit at the bottom of your stomach starting to close up once again, no longer dragging your heart toward it.
“Yeah,” You breathe out. “thanks Gee.”
As you rise to your feet, you look over your shoulder to Gee’s doorway, swearing you heard a floorboard creak. But as you walk out from her room, nothing is out of place, and your door is as you left it.
Creeping back into your room, you close your door behind you, unaware that David is wide awake with a thousand thoughts rushing through his mind.
“Hey, Y/n?” David whispers as you tug on your duvet, curling up into it.
“Sorry, did I wake you up?” You ask softly, thankful for the darkness disguising your puffy complexion.
David shuffles to turn and face you, his hand hesitantly rises and he rests it on your cheek, stroking away stray tears. “It’s okay,” He chuckles. “I just want you to know something, okay?”
“Okay,” You whisper, almost seeing his eyes searching for yours as he shuffles closer, his breath now on your lips.
“You’ll always be my favourite girl, Y/n. Always have been, always will be.”

Jeff x Reader - I do
Tumblr media
Summary: Jeff proposes to you. So cute.
You and Jeff had been together for five years now, and you knew he would be the man who you would grow old with. You knew that for a fact, because nobody understood you better and you couldn’t have a much better best friend.
Tonight was your five year anniversary and Jeff wanted to take you out to a restaurant; the one where you guys met. You were in your bathroom, trying on different earrings. After a few minutes of going back and forth, you settled on a pair of silver dangle earrings. They really contrasted the red dress you had put on for dinner. You didn’t want to do too much because you and Jeff weren’t the type to go big. But you were still gonna look damn good and you wore your hairs in curls with minimum makeup.
You left the bathroom, walking into the living room and seeing Jeff. He looked incredible, though you never felt shy around him, he really did take your breath away, even after five years. You wore a huge smile on your face as you wrapped your arms around his neck, “Ready to go babe?” You smiled, running your fingers through his hair.
He jokingly tried to pull away, “You know how long it took me to do this?”
You started to laugh, “Shut up, you beat me out of there.”
He smiles at you, grabbing your hand, “You look so good babe.”
The car ride to the restaurant consisted of Jeff attempting many jokes, his humor being one of the many things you loved about him. He was so hyper tonight and you could see him struggling to keep his excitement contained. It warmed your heart to see how happy you made him. You stared at him in awe, taking his hand and singing with the radio.
The restaurant had a gorgeous scenery. It was very classy and you and Jeff were both very in love with the place, whether it was because you guys met there or not.
You sat waiting for your food, talking with Jeff about whats in the future for you two and reminiscing of years ago. Once you two had your dinner in front of you, he took your hand into his.
“I want you to know that you are the most beautiful woman in the world, and I don’t know how you put up with me. I thank god that you do and you continue to love me the same everyday. No moment is ever dull with you and I know that will never change.” Jeff was smiling so big and you couldn’t help but get a little emotional. However, you quickly got yourself together and began eating. Jeff ate his dinner very fast which made you wonder why since Jeff usually wasn’t in a rush.
You spent an hour at the restaurant, but left to take a walk. You both split the bill since you two had done that since you first got together. You and Jeff were walking side by side, along a dock after taking off your heels. You knew where he was taking you since there was a beach not very far from the restaurant.
The wind was blowing carelessly, and the sky was turning a light shade of grey. It was an amazing sight, and you had never been more at peace. After reaching the beach, you two walked hand and hand along the shore. He turned to face you, pulling you close to him. Your arms wrapped around him as your head laid on his chest, swaying to the sounds of the ocean. He pulled away after a few minutes like that, enjoying your company. He looked down at you, staring in awe.
“Stop!” You laughed, making him look confused.
“What, I didn’t do anything, be quiet.” He sounded like a little kid acting innocent. You laughed at this, pushing him gently. You were so caught up in your head that you never saw him reach into his back pocket. But when you started to see him lean down, your heart dropped. You always see these things in movies and tv shows, to have it happen to you seemed surreal. He was fully down on one knee, and you could see he was trying to hold it together to find the right words. You didn’t know how to react, but knew you would cry.
“It’s hard for me to find the words that perfectly explain my feelings for you. How do you explain to someone in everyday words that you want to grow old with them? I just know that life is gonna throw problems at me but I don’t see a life without you. You are my everything, and you make me very happy. I need to ask this because I can’t wait any longer to know, Will you marry me?” Jeff had tears in his eyes but held them back, and at this point you were in tears.
You nodded your head, “Yes, of course.” You cried, holding out your hand and watching as he slipped on the ring he had bought.
“Jeff this is so beautiful.” you commented on the ring. He hugged you tightly, kissing the side of your head.
“I’m so glad you like it baby, I know you were gonna break up with me if it was ugly.” He joked making you laugh since you knew he could never pick something in bad taste for you.
“No, baby I would never. I love you so much.” You laughed into his neck, overwhelmed with emotion but more ready than ever to live your life with him.

15 Years Later
part four.
When Alex and Nathan walked through the door, they saw Angel holding a baby girl that refused to settle down and she only seemed to cry louder when she saw Alex.
“Thank god you are here,” Angel exclaimed, “She hasn’t stopped since you left.”
“Sorry,” Alex said, a guilty look on her face. “Oh, and this is Nathan. I said he can stay here for a while.”
“Cool. Just make sure that he flushes the toilet and does his dishes,” Angel said in such a careless tone that Nathan felt she had been in his situation before.
As Nathan looked over the apartment he could see a series of doors that he assumed lead to the bedrooms, an older style couch that looked like it had seen better days, and a small kitchen that had a few pieces of fruit sitting on the counter and a singular lollipop – cola flavoured to be specific.
Whilst the apartment had seen better days, the comfort that it gave off was unmatched. As soon as you walked in you could tell that you wouldn’t be judged within this home, and that was exactly what Nathan needed at this moment: comfort and a place to let his mind wander.
“So, what is the plan with you staying here?” Angel asked with genuine interest.
“I have to go back to the apartment on Tuesday and take my test with Andrew and avoid my father for the rest of the week. I will go back to the apartment on Saturday, spend as little time with my father as possible and then my mother will take me home, and I will never have to spend another moment in the god awful city,” Nathan answered, as if he has planned this out months ago, and not on the journey up from the building’s lobby.
“Okay. I’ll take you to work with me on Tuesday and you can chill there for a while before you make your way to the apartment,” Alex says before leaving the room to put her baby down for the night.
***
Across the other side of Los Angeles, Jeff Wittek was pacing the entirety of his apartment trying to work out what to do about the missing child.
“Why don’t you just call the chick,” Toddy said through a mouthful of popcorn. All of the older males’ friends were over, and whilst they were all worried about Nathan’s whereabouts, they were also enjoying watching the usually relaxed male freak out.
“Don’t have her number,” Jeff said not even turning to face his friend.
“Wouldn’t your mum have his number?” Jason asked. “She said that she was friends with your mother still, did she not?”
“Jason,” Jeff started, “I will only say this once, and I will most likely never say this again; you are a genius.”
Jeff pulled out his phone and dialed the number that his mother had told him over twenty years ago and had not changed since.
“Hey mum,” Jeff said in a timid voice, “Any chance you were planning to tell me I had a child?”

Hopelessly Devoted To You - David Dobrik
Tumblr media
Part One. Part Two.
Quickest summary: (Y/N) is so in love with her best friend that she can’t take it anymore and tries to get over him at some random USC party, but sincerely fails.
Warnings: There isn’t much interactions between David and the reader in this one but it does have a lot of the readers thoughts.
I don't how many times I could possibly smile in his direction without breaking apart into a complete and utter mess. He is my everything. He doesn't know that but it’s true. I know the feeling is definitely not a mutual one, but he brought me clarity. Friends that’s all we’ll ever be and I could care less if he didn’t care for me as more than a friend. His companionship was all that I needed; it was my warmth during the rare, cool breezes of the arid Los Angeles air. I’d die for him and I wouldn't even blink to saying it if asked.
I know it sounds stupid and cheesy, but I am hopeless, irrevocably devoted to David Julian Dobrik.
He’d always seen me as nothing more than a kid sister and although the thought made me sad it was understandable. He and Liza had been together for two years only up until about a year ago, and I was definitely not trying to shoot my shot. Who was I to tell one of my best friends that I had the hots for them for the past fifteen plus years? I’d seen him grow from Vine and into this huge YouTube personality with over ten million subscribers. The shy little boy who’d come over to play was now a man grown into his own persona and maybe it was the ambition that I had seen early on that drew me in to stay or his toothy grin that made the butterflies in my stomach flip since I was about five. But, I knew where our relationship stood.
I hear someone snapping their fingers to get me out of my lovesick tunnel vision thoughts to be face to face with a handsome guy that was definitely not David. This guy had a certain charm to him the kind that gave of a very ‘bad-boy’ vibe and it intrigued me. His eyes were a sharp contrast from David’s soft chocolate orbs as they were a very true forest green with golden specks in them. His face was also contrasting as David’s sweet round face drastically was compared to this chiseled dimpled Greek god-like being. He looked straight out of a GQ magazine cover with his smoldering features and killer grin, if I was any other girl I would have swooned.
“What’s a beauty like yourself doing out here all alone?” His accented voice even made me think of the slight Slovak twang in David’s as this green-eyed god had a very pronounced hot Aussie accent. Maybe this was fate finally taking my obsession with my best friend away and it kind of hurt, “You mean me?” I questioned obviously knowing he was talking to me as I coyly focused my attention on him, “Of course, darling. The name’s Gregor.” He extended a very, muscular rough hand in my direction and I cautiously placed my clammy hand in his, “(Y/N), uhm, hi, I guess.” I nervously answer with a giggle thrown in. He pulled my hand to his plump lips to place a brief kiss on my knuckles, “Again, what are you doing here alone? If I had a bird like you I’d never let you leave my side.”
God he was charming and something in the pits I’d hidden from all my years of a one-sided romance came to use and that something was courage. Courage to date or be dated. “I don’t know, but I know I’m not alone anymore.” He smiled at me as I answered feeling like I was betraying my very core principals. But, what the hell? It’s not like David would ever feel the same about me. Maybe this was the push I needed to move on. To forget him and simply be a friend, but even then I didn’t want something I’ve built and ingrained into me to die. Plus I’ve only known this guy for literally a short two minute and my mind is immediately jumping at a million miles a millisecond.
We started conversing as the music and the moving of sweaty, inebriated bodies flowed behind us. I’d learned that he was born in Perth and lived there all his life until getting a scholarship to USC, which happened to be where this party was, and I told him about Vernon Hills and my life. I greatly avoided the elephant that seemed to be looming in the back of my head and that I noticed was focused completely on Zane and his usual drunken shenanigans--David. We had decided to move to the backyard to be able to hear the other and he was a decent enough guy, but I was thinking back to my one-sided true love. And, I guess Greg noticed and I generally felt bad.
“So, which one is it?” He suddenly asked with a sullen tone, “Was it the guy drunk off his ass or the guy filming him? Because I’m definitely not trying to compete with your boyfriend or whatever.” He chuckled as I sighed looking at the stars above us and it made me realize that whatever I tried to do wouldn’t make me forget David. I smile as I look into Greg’s beautiful sad eyes, “Have you ever been in love with someone you’ve known your whole life?” He shakes his head with a small smile as if to encourage me to go on, “Well, that’s me and that guy,” I state tirelessly, “the one filming, his name’s David. For as long as I can remember I’ve held the biggest, fiery torch for this dufus. He’s funny and such a big caring baby that has such a big heart, too. I honestly can’t understand how such a person like that even exists it even scares me at times how selfless he is. I hope he never hears this because I’d probably die of embarrassment.” The wind must’ve moved a piece of my hair because I felt his hand putting it behind my ear. He looked so handsome and it hurt that I couldn’t love someone like him, “I know you barely know me and you’re like in love with this guy. It’s also a weird question to ask someone but can I kiss you?” He asks tenderly and sincere melting my heart a tad bit. The first time I got kissed was definitely not my choice it was also the worst experience of my life as David was watching me kiss some slimy preteen in our middle school that slipped my tongue. I nod leaning in and planting my lips onto his and began to tango.
His kiss was rough and a bit sloppy, but generally not that bad. His hand that had moved my hair behind my ear was now entangled in my hair as one of my hands was set placed on his knee while the other held me firmly to the ground and his other hand was pulling me towards him. It was hot. Hotter than even then anything random kiss I’d felt before. He tasted like tobacco and coconuts with a hint of weed lingering in the background with hot breath and gods did he like to be dominant.
As I felt his hand creep slightly into the underneath of the hem of my shirt, we were rudely but thankfully interrupted by the sound of the sliding door of the frat house. “Yo, David come look it’s (Y/N) and some rando getting it, dog.” I hear the sound of Dom’s obnoxious voice scream into the crowd of people in search of said person. Because, I’m a stupid hoe I keep going at it for a hot minute because why not I haven’t been kissed by anyone in a while that’s until I feel a hand pulling me from Greg. It’s David.

Teddy Bears → David Dobrik
requested by anon: pre relationship fluff with david dobrik where the reader is caught sleeping with a stuffed animal like she isnt attached or anything shes just got a few on her bed and shes like ‘what a girl needs her cuddles’ but shes joking then one day they find her and david cuddling and they tease them about it the next day or something like she doesnt need the stuffed animals now lol
note: very inspired by @writings-in-pjs ‘s «Mr. Bear» with alex ernst. go check it out 💕
warning: fluffyyyyy
-
you were spending the day with heath, zane and mariah, running a couple of arrends.
one of the pit stops was the local target where your goal was to get some supplies for one of heath's videos you were helping them out with, however your eyes landed on something else that seemed much more interesting. passing one of the aisles to get to the kitchen aisle, a big, pink teddy bear caught your eye.
"ooh, look at that one!" you gasped in excitement, pointing at the stuffed animal as you grabbed zane's upper arm.
"what? the bear?" zane questioned as he looked in the same direction you were pointing to.
it was a big, pink teddy bear, almost life size, as fluffy and soft it could get, wearing a matching bowtie. "yes! it's so cute," you squealed, reaching your hands forward to reach on top of the shelf before grabbing it. "feel how soft it is!" you cheered, waving the bear around and sticking it in zane's face for him to touch it.
"yeah, yeah, it's pretty soft." zane shrugged before facing the other way, looking for something else, not showing as much enthusiasm as you.
lifting the heavy bear up above your knees, you stumbled your way over to your shopping cart and put it in, with a big smile on your face.
zane looked over his shoulder to catch a glimpse of the big grin on your face. "what are you doing?" he asked, giving you a confused look, putting a hand to his hip.
"i want it," you replied, fluttering your eyelashes and giving him your well known puppy dog eyes.
"you want the teddy bear? why?" zane laughed.
"why not? i need cuddles at night!" you said with firmness in your tone, not taking no for an answer.
you wanted that bear, and you were getting that bear despite what the others thought about it. zane and heath was more confused than anything as to why you wanted another stuffed animal taking up the majority of the space in your bed, and mariah didn't seem to care - she thought it was cute.
even though you had plenty of stuffed animals in your bed, everybody could agree on one thing: the more the merrier. it was like having a protective army of stuffed animals surrounding you at night. why not?
you headed for the cashier with your teddy bear and the rest of the props for heath's video, before getting to the car to drive home.
after finishing up heath's video and call it a day, you joined your friends to go hang out at david's house where the rest of the group was.
hanging out at david's house had become a habit for many. long nights of editing or just hanging out would occur, and they'd most of the time end up in everybody sleeping either on david's big, comfy couch or the love sac.
you, however, had gotten the advantage of sleeping in david's bed. david never minded sharing a bed with you. both you and him enjoyed the cuddles at night. having someone to wrap your arm around, whether it was being the big spoon or little spoon, cuddling up when it would get cold - who wouldn't want that?
it was more of a lowkey type of thing. you and david weren't dating per se, but you had definitely gotten a little more touchy feely lately. not wanting to put a label on it, you didn't share those kinds of stuff with the group. well, you'd share a thing or two with corinna or kristen, as they were your girl friends, but nothing more than that. everybody would just find any excuse to use you and david as clickbait for their videos.
"is everybody sleeping here tonight?" david asked the group lounging on his couch.
zane stretched his arms and legs underneath the blanket, followed by a big yawn, "yeah, is that cool?"
"sure," david nodded before turning towards you, pointing his finger in your direction, "you too?" he smiled.
you shrugged before nodding, feeling a smile sneaking up on your face knowing you'd be sleeping under his arm.
it was around 3 am and everybody had fallen asleep exept for you and david. tonight was just another editing night, and after everyone dozed off you had kept david company while he finished up.
after working on the same four minute video for hours, david let out a big sigh followed by an even bigger yawn. he looked in your direction, hoodie pulled tightly over his head.
you looked up from your phone and landed your eyes on david's. "you tired? you want to go bed?" you asked quitely, looking at his tired eyes.
he nodded and stared down at the floor, eyes glued to it before letting out another yawn. you moved the carpet from your lap and got up from the couch to walk over to his spo, reaching your hand out for him to grab it.
"come on." you smiled before he grabbed your hand and walked with you down the hall way and into his room.
"today has been such a long day." david sighed as he crashed onto his bed, still wearing his hoodie and crawling under the covers.
he lifted up the covers for you to join him and you laid down next to him. gazing into his tired eyes you smiled at him. "you got a lot done, atleast. you deserve some rest." you said, stroking the back of his head gently, making him close his eyes and slowly doze off.
after a while of running your fingers through his hair, you noticed his breaths got heavier and he had already fallen asleep. you carefully turned around in the bed to face the other way, and after getting comfortable underneath the sheets you felt david lazily wrap his arm around your waist, pulling you closer.
the best part about david was his cuddles. he'd often prefer to be the big spoon, being able to not only wrap his arm around your body but also throw his leg over it too. he'd always squeeze you tight, especially on cold nights, and always make sure you were comfy.
"hey, david. are you up?" natalie's voice rang from the other side of the door.
"yeah," david groaned loudly into the pillow.
"good morning, I-" natalie started but was quick to stop midway when she landed her eyes on you and david.
you were laying on your back as david was laying on his side, close to you, with his hand tossed over your body. lifting up your head you squinted at her, the bright lights going directly into your tired eyes.
"oh my god, are you cuddling? that is so cute!" she lilted, opening the door wider. "guys, they're cuddling!" she continued, shouting down the hallway for everybody to hear.
zane, joe and todd hopped down the hallway and bursted into david's room, not wanting to miss the show.
"aww, my babies!" zane cheered, putting his palms to his cheeks, smiling widely.
"is this our new couple?" joe giggled.
you covered your face in your hands as david threw himself over you, covering you with his body, your face buried in his chest. "there’s nothing to see here!" david laughed, covering your face.
"i thought you needed the teddy bear for cuddles, not david! you could’ve just asked me!" zane joked, pretending to be deeply offended and dissapointed in your decisions.
"zane, you can get cuddles too! everyone can! david’s bed is just extremely comfortable." you admitted peeking over david’s shoulder, your face still covered under his body.
"does that mean we can too?" joe asked standing on his tippy toes, pointing at him and todd, with a big smile on his face. you joyfully nodded, making the three of them rush over to david’s bed and crash on top of the two of you, making you and david let out a synchronized groan which caused everyone to laugh. "you don’t need your stuffed animals when you have us." zane smiled as he cuddled up to you.

Second Chances.  David and Corinna
Helloooo!! The story that no one asked for but also some of you wanted haha. No shade to Todd, or anyone really, it was just how I decided to write the story :) Let me know what you think xoxx
Tumblr media
It was 4am. Ilya in the front seat, Alex, Todd and Mariah in the back, Zane, Heath and Corinna in the middle; the group sat in David’s Tesla as he drove them home from a night out of drunkenness and vlog footage. Zane was perched in the middle of the second row on the console, drunkenly screaming trying to get out of the sunroof; David quickly putting his car into auto drive to swing his camera round to film his antics.
‘Babbbyyyyyy, what is you doiiinn??’ Heath yelled, grabbing Zane’s jumper to pull him back into his makeshift seat.
‘Heath, don’t pull too hard, his fat ass will break the car’ Todd yelled, obviously very drunk as he slumped over Mariah and Alex in the back seats. Corinna helped Heath with gently removing Zane’s hands from the roof and sitting him back down as David laughed his head off.
‘He on X-games mode!!’ Heath cried into David’s lens, causing Corinna to cover her mouth whilst laughing hysterically.
‘David are you really gonna use Heath saying that joke about Zane again??? Don’t wanna be getting too unoriginal dude’ Todd slurred from the back seat, barely able to lift his head. His comment didn’t earn too many laughs as an awkward silence ensued.
‘Well isn’t Todd a bit drunk tonight’ David said into his camera, laughing his famous vlog laugh at the end.
‘I’m just saying dudeeee, don’t want to be getting too uncreative and lazy with your content man, cause that only works for sluts.’ Todd said in a snarky tone.
Putting his camera down, David flashed a look at Corinna through the rear-view mirror. She didn’t see his look, instead, she was staring out of the window, obviously trying to ignore Todd’s comment as well as the awkward silence which now fell in the car.
Knowing how Todd was like when he’s drunk, Corinna didn’t want to start an argument whereas if he was sober, she would usually stand her ground. But with alcohol running through his system and consequently, him running his mouth; she knew it was best to just sit and endure it.
The other’s felt the same, knowing all too well about Todd’s argumentative streak, it was best to leave the discussion till the morning, and luckily Zane, who would be most likely to bite, was too drunk and preoccupied with tapping Ilya on the head to notice Todd’s commentary.
David’s eyes remained on Corinna’s reflection, noticing how she brushes the hair from out behind her ears in an attempt to shield her face when she’s nervous. Keeping his hands on the steering wheel but having the car still drive in auto-pilot, his glance flashed between Todd and Corinna; Todd staring at the back of Corinna’s head with a devilish grin plastered on his face.
‘Hey, David’ Todd said, catching his eye in the mirror. ‘When are you going to stop handing out charity Q&A’s for people who don’t deserve them.’ His look was cold and David could feel his blood start to boil as Corinna sunk further into her seat.
David swerved the car over to the left and clipped it up the pavement. Slamming on the breaks; the car came to an abrupt halt. Zane; still unaware, yelled ‘Daviddddd what are you doing maaann, did we just crash??’
Ignoring Zane, David stared straight ahead at the empty road and calmly said ‘Todd, either cut it out or get out and walk.’ Todd opened his mouth to protest but shut it again at the coldness of David’s voice. Todd shrugged and lifted his head up off Alex’s lap, slumping into his seat. With that, David started up the car again and swerved back onto the road.
This time Corinna was already looking in the rear-view mirror when David took another glance at her. The corners of her lips lifted upwards slightly as she gave him a small smile, which he knew meant thank you. However, that didn’t stop him noticing the wet stain trailing from her eyes down her cheeks as she held his stare.
David had taken a longer route home, meaning he would be able to drop off Heath and Mariah, then Todd and Zane first before taking Corinna home, then back to his with Ilya and Alex. He had texted Ilya to pretend to need to pee before they got to Corinna’s house, so that David could talk to her alone and Ilya could drag a nearly passed out Alex out of the car.
Corinna seeming to be none the wiser as David turned round to face her and the two boys got out of the car, heading towards a nearby bush. ‘Hey, jump in the front’ David said softly, nodding his head towards the front passenger seat. ‘Okay’ Corinna replied quietly, getting out of the back seat and making her way around to the front.
As she climbed into the front, David wrapped his arms around her shoulders and pulled her into a hug. Initially, she stiffened at the sudden contact but soon found herself wrapping her arms around his waist and leaning her head on his chest. They stayed like that for a while before Corinna whispered ‘it’s not that it’s bothering me because he’s my ex… it’s bothering me because I wonder if what he’s saying is true. When we were together, he fully supported me and my content, so now it’s like, is he saying that to be malicious, or is he saying it because it’s what he’s always thought and believed.’
‘Hey hey hey’ David lifted Corinna’s head to look into his eyes. ‘Todd’s my friend but, he has a funny way of dealing with things. He puts on this front and lashes out at people because he doesn’t know how to act. He doesn’t think that about you and neither do I.’
Corinna smiled back at David, putting her hand to his cheek. ‘Thanks Dave’ she said softly.
‘Let’s all go back to mine, we’ll talk it out and you can help me put Ilya and Alex to bed’, he chuckled, pointing out of the window to Ilya and Alex jumping around each other with their fists up.
‘Always a catch with you’ Corinna replied, chuckling as she rolled down the window to tell the two boys to get in the car.
After getting to David’s house and David and Corinna managing to convince Ilya and Alex to stop wrestling and to go to sleep in the guest bedroom, they were pretty tired. ‘Shall we watch a film?’ David asked, walking over to his beanbag to grab a folded blanket. ‘Only if we can watch The Notebook’ Corinna grinned at him from her seated position. ‘Lucky for you, I love romantic mush’ David winked at her. ‘I know’ Corinna chuckled.
It had only been about half an hour before David noticed Corinna had slightly fallen onto his shoulder and could hear the steady flow of her breathing. Trying not to disturb her, he lifted his head slightly to take a peek at her peaceful face, checking to see if she was asleep or not. As he suspected, her eyes were closed, her long lashes flickering with her eyelids, her pink lips slightly parted… she looked so angelic.
David shook his head suddenly, an attempt to physically shake the thoughts from his mind. He tried to think of a way to move without waking her, wondering if he would be able to carry her to his bed before she stirred. He had only moved his shoulder slightly before he felt her body jolt next to him.
‘Sorry, sorry!’ he whispered ‘I was trying not to wake you.’
‘It’s okay David’ she smiled, sleepily, ‘I need to call an uber anyways.’
‘No no no, don’t be silly you can sleep in my bed, I asked you to come here so late’ David laughed, extending his arm out for her to stand from the sofa.
‘David you don’t have to do that’ Corinna said, reaching for her things.
‘Well I’m definitely not letting you get an uber’ David stated, ‘so you can either stay in my bed and let me go to sleep now, orrrrr, I’ll drive you and I won’t get to sleep for like another half an hour’ he said as he raised his eyebrows, teasing her.
‘Fine’ she laughed, rolling her eyes. ‘Come on then’ she said, heading for his bedroom.
‘Oh no’ David chuckled, awkwardly scratching the back of his neck. ‘I like to think I’m a gentleman Corinna, I’ll take the couch.’
‘Are you kidding me? You’re going to make me feel guilty if you take me home and guilty if I stay.’ She laughed, folding her arms.
‘Come on, stop being a baby, we’ve been friends for years, we can sleep in the same bed together.’ Corinna said as she walked past David towards his bedroom, taking his hand as she went and letting him follow behind her.
‘Can I borrow a t-shirt? Corinna asked David, who stood in the doorway awkwardly, not knowing where to look.
‘Errr yeah, they’re erm, they’re in that drawer’ pointing to a chest of drawers next to his bed.
Noticing his nervousness, Corinna smiled to herself, taking a t-shirt and pair of joggers from the drawer and debating whether to go to the bathroom or ask David to turn around.
Deciding on the latter, Corinna glanced over at David still stood in the door way. ‘Could you erm, turn around?’ Corinna said, smiling slightly.
‘Oh yeah, yeah of course’ David fumbled over his words and quickly spun around, hiding the blush forming on his cheeks. He nervously played with his hair, trying to drown out the thumps of his heartbeat by concentrating on the sound of clothing hitting the floor.
‘Okay done!’ Corinna said, walking over to the bed. ‘Which side is your side?’ she asked, tying her hair up into a ponytail.
‘The left’ David responded, pulling his hoodie up over his head, leaving him in a black t-shirt and grey joggers.
Corinna couldn’t help but let her eyes linger on David’s exposed skin as he lifted his hoodie over his head. She let her eyes trail down his abdomen, his joggers falling slightly below his waist so she could see the start of his snail trail. Quickly looking away she jumped into his bed and snuggled down under the covers, chuckling as David walked towards her, lifting the duvet to get in with her.
Not knowing quite how to act, David laid on his back, looking at the ceiling, feeling Corinna’s eyes on him.
‘Dave?’ Corinna said softly.
He turned his head towards her.
‘Thank you for sticking up for me’ she smiled. ‘You really are… just, the best’ nervously looking away from his eyes.
Turning his body to face her, he moved his body further down into the bed and placed his hand underneath his pillow to prop his head up slightly.
Neither of them could quite figure out exactly what it was, but something lingered in the air between them. So many unanswered questions which had built up over the years, so many what if’s, so many wrong decisions and missed chances.
David didn’t know where it came from, but he suddenly felt a surge of bravery. Something which gave him the courage to ask Corinna something which had been on his mind since she and Todd had broken up.
‘Why did you and Todd break up after the lie detector test?’ David asked. His eyes searching within Corinna’s, holding her gaze.
They had both somehow moved closer together, their faces now inches apart. Corinna looked into David’s big brown eyes, slightly shadowed underneath by the lack of sleep. She inhaled a shaky breathe and said ‘you know why David.’
She saw David take a gulp, feeling her own nerves bubble underneath the surface, not knowing if she should have left it alone. ‘He couldn’t understand why I had… fantasied about you’ Corinna said, looking away, not being able to look at him anymore.
David caught her chin with his hand, gently stroking her neck with his thumb.
‘And why had you fantasied about me?’ David asked, no longer looking into her eyes but at her lips, wanting to be absolutely sure first…
‘Because I liked you David…’ Corinna said, her nerves on end, goose bumps trailing down her skin, making her stomach turn inside out.
‘What about now?’ David asked, his face leaning closer towards her, still gently holding her jaw, his lips gently brushing against her own, parting slightly.
Corinna now lifted her own hand to place her palm against David’s head. Slightly lifting her face to catch his lips; she closed the gap between them.
No more needed to be said. Their lips moulded together as they pressed their bodies against each other. David’s hands cupped Corinna’s face as she parted her lips against his, eagerly wanting more. They remained like that for a while, both on the cusp of removing clothing but not wanting to move too fast. Corinna settled for sliding her palms against David’s torso as he trailed his fingertips across her exposed back and waist.
Exhausted and content, their night ended gently drifting off to sleep, layering peppered kisses against each other, enveloped in one another’s arms as the sun silently rose.
