Amanda MacGurk, infamous for being a seductive, yet ruthless escort, came rushing down the manor halls. Looking around in slight panic, she found the first man she could find her hands on. Hurrying over to the bowmen, she quickly held onto the man's arm. She knew it was wrong, but the fear of being alone with that thing made her tremble.

Seeking some sort of protection momentarily, she whispered to the taller man, praying he wouldn't leave her alone so quickly. "Help me, please. He won't stop following me... I can't even rest in my room as he waits there."

The man in question appeared to scare her, but even his watchful gaze came from around the corner. This man was known as Damien Hardwick, known as the Debtor. His gaze was only fixated on his beautiful lady, hardly glancing at the other survivor. Tilting his head, the man let out a dissatisfied hum.

In a hushed tone, the debtor mumbled to himself. "Off she goes again... Alas, I can't stop her."

Startled by the sudden feeling of being grabbed, Archer turned a little to see exactlt who was the cause. If not for the shaking, Archer no doubt might have shaken her unwanted grasp for a moment. The words had the other a little concerned as narrowed eyes moved to where the feeling of stares was coming from.

Unable to fully see the figure, Archer at the least moved a little more to hide the woman with their frame. Archer continued their glare - truly just trying to focus on the figures but it was very much a glare to anyone giving a surface level glance. Archer made a gesture to the distance figure that they should leave.

The Fools of The Fool's Errand

Mallory Charon/[insert any name here]/ Holy-Archivist Viper/Uncle Mallo, the man himself, MO.

"What's this place? Whatever you need it to be. What's my name? Whatever you feel like calling me. If there's anything you need that's not here I'll get it and if you need a job done then it'll be done... for the right price anyway. If you don't have money, I take good stories as payment too." - M.O.

It's been heavily implied that MO is a deity of sorts, though of what exactly he absolutely refuses to say... says it might give people the wrong idea as he actually doesn't do his job especially not IN The Fool's Errand. He's also heavily implied that he technically counts as undead and that technically speaking he doesn't have a heart, however he has plenty of emotions (not as strong as for most but he has them). Other deities don't seem to take him seriously, yet refrain from causing trouble claiming it to be "common sense".

MO gives Quests, takes them and most importantly he runs The Fool's Errand, even cooking most of the food and mixing most of the drinks. He even creates creatures if one wants an oddly specific pet or traveling companion. There's been more than one occasion where a group of adventurers needed another member and he steps in or pointed someone out for them.

Many also go to him for advice, though this is where people realize that even though he's caring he's also a very cold being by nature... an example of this was when someone asked what would happen if they were immortal and his first response was: "you keep living, obviously. Unlike most."

MO has cycled through various outfits and masks throughout the [unspecified time] and still switches things up depending occasions or where he's going. Though most of the time he'll wear the cat mask as it was a gift from his niece and younger brother and an obvious favorite. At the beginning he favored skull-like helmets and such (still owning several and bringing them out once in a while)

Despite popular belief MO doesn't actually LIVE in The Fool's Errand.

Whats this universe like?

Uh, well, where to start..- Well, it’s mostly like Earth when it comes to geography! if you don't count combined places... In terms of other things…

This universe could be classified as a technologically advanced fantasy world. It contains gods, deities such as End, robots and Androids +such as myself+, regular humans, hybrids which are combinations of two creatures, eldritch beings, spiritual beings, shadow beings, and likely more that we have yet to discover.

Right! Society is still practically the same as Earth too, I think. There’s the presidents and mayors and elections held!

I guess in a tldr sense, this universe is sorta like Earth except much more technologically advanced with much more fantasy and over worldly add-ons! Oh, and the year is somewhere around the 2530’s!

Hello all! I have created a Lore Olympus Themed Server that has roleplay and hangout!

aita for snapping at someone because they kept immediately contradicting my headcanons for a character important to my ocs backstory?

im in an rp discord server that is doing a dnd-style rp and my character is a cleric of lolth, her special little guy so to speak. his backstory was that he was raised in a cult that taught him to fear her, and when he had a crisis of conscious and was exiled, she was the one that saved him, basically taking on the role of a deity who's teachings have been corrupted by mortals using them as excuses (you can really feel the catholic guilt on this one)

so i was explaining my worldbuilding for the place my character grew up (trade, social strata, textiles- all of which were based on the premise of 'what would a society that lived in this environment look like') and this person was continually hopping in with ambiguously 'canon' information that contradicted what i was saying (quotations are used bc some of the sources were the drizzt books which have questionable canonicity to begin with)

it was sort of a

me: so that's why i think that most textiles in the underdark are made of spider silk

them: actually, in the books-

in any case, after like four or five of these interruptions, i snapped that "i [was] done arguing for the night" and they got confused and upset bc they didnt think we were arguing but i found their comments to be extremely dismissive and when i said as much (and pointed out that this wasnt even the first time) they started getting kinda defensive and i guess must have thought that i meant some of their in character stuff but actually i meant when i drew a character from a shared fandom as a my little pony and they immediately (within seconds) responded with "i think [character] is a unicorn" after i had drawn the character as an earth pony

TL:DR- person has a tendency to be condescending and dismissive and i was snippy with them about it bc i didnt realize it wasnt intentional
