Ki-Adi Mundi: Ok so let's recap. Jango Fett said he was recruited by a man named Tyrannus. Then, we see him standing next to Dooku in the Geonosis arena and we later learn Dooku is Tyrannus. He killed Silman, the only person left alive who knew what happened to Sifo-Dyas to stop him from talking. Let's also point out that Dooku/Tyrannus told Obi-Wan that the senate was under the control of a Sith Lord. Now, we also recently learned that ARC Trooper Tup killed a Jedi after a malfunction of an inhibitor chip. ARC Trooper Fives then investigated the chips and reported being attacked by chancellor Palpatine, who is in charge of the senate. Now I know this seems far-fetched but stay with me. In a recent report from Master Yoda, we also learned that in a vision he received from powerful Force priestesses, he saw an army of clones fighting against the Jedi. Also, he had an in counter with Sidious through the Force where he learned that Anakin Skywalker will seemingly play a big part in his future evil plans. Finally, he was able to see that Sidious is a white man with a raspy voice and a prominent nose and chin. Who do we know who fits that description, I dare ask?

Would mob boss Anakin die for the twins or Obi-Wan? Or would he always, if absolutely forced to, choose his own life over theirs?

I feel like it was this sort of question that inspired Vowbreaker (mob boss!obi-wan’s answer to “would he die for anakin?”)

I cant even imagine one dying before the other it’s so sad so instead I’m gonna answer the question: what would Playmaker!Anakin’s Vowbreaker be?

(Given the same sort of scenario of an unknown stalker intent on Obi-Wan:)

I don’t think Vaderkin would fake his death ever, even to save obi-wan from a threat—that’s just not how his brain works. Instead, I think he’d kiss the twins goodbye, REALLY kiss obi-wan goodbye, and then disappear with one trusted henchman, leaving a note to tell obi-wan that he’ll be back and to be good while he’s gone.

then brutal and senseless killings start popping up all over the city and obi-wan just KNOWS it’s his wayward husband so he puts on his detective cap for the first time in years in order to try and track him down and drag him back to the family because anything can be worked through together—he’s not going to allow Anakin to just leave him! After all, Anakin didn’t allow him to just leave after he ran the first time

Mobi-Wan wants a clean image because he wants power in a city thats largely above board. Playmaker Anakin doesn’t want elected power and he knows the police can’t touch him because the city is so different, so he can very much take a more brutal approach when trying to find out who wants to hurt/take his obi-wan away

Mace’s tone took on a more serious register, if that were even possible, and Obi-Wan’s eyes snapped to meet him. “I need you to understand how dangerous Lars is. The things we’ve heard…” He shook his head. “He'll test you, try to draw you in. He’s manipulative, he’s cunning -”

“A man after my own heart.”

“- he’s the kind of person who can turn allies against one another and have everyone believe he’s innocent.”

A shiver went down Obi-Wan’s spine. He was…intrigued, in spite of himself. He rarely knew Mace to exaggerate, so this Anakin must be someone very special indeed.

Someone who would really put his skills to the test.

I believe this arc reveals a little too much about Sidious hand and future plans and I don´t think is quite ic for him to do so, he made Cad Bane kidnap those kids to raise them as sith acolytes but this revealed too much his influence on the clone wars given he keep the babies at Mustafar to raise them but I loved seeing Ahsoka and Anakin team up to rescue them.

Mob boss Anakin Skywalker is one of the youngest gang leaders to rise to power in recent history. DCI Obi-Wan Kenobi is tasked with bringing this rising threat to justice. It’s just after 2am, I’m reading a Star Wars fan fic where Anakin’s building a scanner to locate his transmitter bomb and I was reminded of a theory that I thought of last year: what if the transmitter bomb are really nanobots?

Think about it: nanobots can be programmed to go ‘boom’ and they would be hard to find and be in the body ‘somewhere’.

I love the idea of a journalist Obi-Wan, but it seems like it would really change Playmaker. There wouldn't be the same level of betrayal *and* 180 degree job switch. Like, journalist Obi-Wan could absolutely still write articles (about Anakin's enemies or penguins or any topic Not Anakin) after they get together. Detective Obi-Wan cannot keep his day job.

there would definitely be some addendums or adjustments 🤔 I think it may make anakin a little less interested because he’s not corrupting a detective ….. but I think he’d also still be interested in corrupting the son of the police chief even if he isn’t a detective

I think it’d make for an interesting dynamic between qui-gon and obi-wan before the betrayal because qui-gon could’ve super disappointed in obi-wan’s career choices in a way that pressured him into accepting the undercover job with minimal training or hope that it’ll work — it could make obi-wan showing up at the policeman’s ball thing soooo much more tense because he was never allowed or invited by his father to go but anakin takes him

but it would make mace not really his mentor which would be a sad loss for me personally cause I like that dynamic…. I think it could still end with obi-wan losing his job if his father requested that the paper fire him (anakin volunteers to pressure the paper into keeping him on as an employee which would be a cool power struggle between the mob and the police played out over obi-wan’s job 🤔🤔
