woke up to a few lovely comments on the new chapter!! thank you all for the continued support on a story i pour my entire self into!!

and a few not so nice comments on the chapter, which really hurts, to be quite honest

i worked my butt off planning out that chapter and the overreaching plot of the episode it kicks off, writing it to get it to y'all on a holiday bc it was my only day off this week and yeah, not such a great feeling to be told it's 'unoriginal', 'handled san's feelings wrong', and 'to hurry up with the smut'

i am writing for me. this fic is for me and my enjoyment, this character insert is for my enjoyment. sharing it with y'all who also love our dear tin man is a bonus, the community we have all created here is so lovely most of the time, but {of beskar and kyber} and {garnish} seem to be getting negative attention lately and it's not fun to see in my inbox or comments on ao3

to say the vibes have been off lately would be an understatement, wouldn’t it? because there has been a lot of negativity, too much for a place that is supposed to be about finding an outlet for your creativity and people to share your interests.

i know it has been difficult, draining to be around here and face all the discourse cankering the fandom. 

because of all this negativity, i believe it is important to try and balance it out with some kindness. so here i am, doing a little check-up on you <3

everything you feel regarding what is happening is valid and you deserve to feel happy and safe around here. so please, make sure you take the time you need from posting, from sharing fics, even just from being on the platform. i want you to know it’s okay and i support whatever you decide, for whatever reason.

i also want you to know that you have your place here, as much as the rest of us. you’re loved and wanted and i can assure you the fandom is a far better place with you in it.

hi anna. this is so sweet, and i absolutely love the moodboard.

truthfully, i’m feeling very frustrated with everything that’s been going on lately. from the plagiarism, hateful anons, fatphobic asks and racist slurs being targeted at my mutuals and people i consider my friends is just so fucking gross.

i think i can speak for a few people on here when i say this shit has gotten completely out of hand. the bullying in this fandom is unfathomable and disgusting. these anons are always so bold when they have some really mean shit to say and quite frankly, it’s just draining to see, and i’m sure it’s even more exhausting for the people who are actively going through it themselves.

this used to be such a fun space. i love interacting with everyone on here and sharing my writing and other incredible stories on here, but it’s hard to do so when you feel paranoid about random people following you that may plagiarize your stuff or people who keep a watchful eye on you just to spite you and be hateful.

it’s just not fair. i know we all try and say we can’t let people like those anons “win”, but in all truthfulness, it’s just so tiring seeing something every single day on here. my heart hurts for my friends who constantly get hate, get plagiarized, or even have racist slurs thrown at them. it makes me feel really uneasy and i honestly think these anons forget that most of us are here because we all support one proud chilean man.

this is supposed to be a safe space for everyone, and it’s quite honestly the complete opposite.

sorry for the rant, but things have honestly just gotten so out of hand.

Amazon app store doesn't let's you delete apps 😡

So I got to know that Amazon app store doesn't let you delete apps that you have published !! And now I can't even update my old web apps there !!! I have 7 apps in Amazon app store and I want to remove them because of poor developer experience of Amazon, but get this?!! They will not let you even remove apps. To get it published you have to dance to their drums!! To get it removed you have to dance to their drums!!! I HATE AMAZON !!!

GuY helP so I joined a discord server bc I want to make friends in the twst/obey fandom and

I kinda forgot to make friends you have to socialize with strangers first

and I want to talk to them bc they all seem so nice and chill but I'm so nervous

And when I do want to talk they are always in mid conversation in the general chat that I feel that I'm intruding bc I don't know these ppl and I don't waNT to iNtERupT THEMM AJSHHSJSJ

And when no one is talking it feels like if I message first I feel that ppl will think bad of me like "who tf is this person 🤨"

I work on my calling list for work from oldest to newest unless someone specially asks for a time to call them. Makes sense yes? So front desk bitch lady was hounding me cause someone was being annoying and calling a bunch, yet how is that my problem. Just because they’re anxious and don’t know how to leave a voice message doesn’t mean I’m going to drop everything I’m doing to coddle them. They can wait. “They’ve been trying to contact you for three days” it’s been barely a day and a half. We have no deadline of when people need to be called by, we just do what we can and try to reach everyone. Don’t complain to me that this guy wants a callback asap when lunch is in there minutes and he isn’t available this afternoon. He gonna wait and he’s gonna have to be fine with it. Jesus Christ like calm down. If you want him taken care of so bad, talk to him yourself and leave me alone. Anyone can do my job so why don’t you give it a shot. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Splatoon 3: Side Order is good, but not great. I still highly recommend it, but if you care about the story, you're going to be disappointed. Quick review: spoilers ahead.

Side Order was the devs experimenting with Splatoon's gameplay loop. The campaign is a rogue-like, and it works amazingly well. Super fun, super challenging, building my deck and fighting through challenges with the stakes of resetting really scratched an itch in my brain. They did a great job with it.

Unfortunately, I feel like priority went to game design rather than story. Much of the mysterious artwork we saw in the first teaser trailer was completely unused; turns out, all of that was just concept art that never made it into the final product. Side Order failed to make me care about what was happening. I don't know why the protagonist had to be Agent 8; it could've been anyone else and the story would've worked the same.

Octo Expansion was the absolute peak of meshing story and gameplay. The campaign's hook is insanely strong; we immediately empathize with Agent 8 because we know from previous lore that octolings like her have been trapped underground for all their lives. We care about her fight to the surface because it's a fundamentally ideological fight for freedom. The plot stuff about Tartar and the Thangs is just nice set dressing; 8's fight for freedom is the real story.

There's none of that in Side Order. I don't particularly care about Marina's metaverse, even if it's tied to Octo Expansion's story. I don't know why Acht is there other than backstory stuff. It really feels like 8 is just told to do something and she does it because she's the protagonist; she has zero personal stakes or motivations in the conflict. This is a story blunder the devs did in Splatoon 3's default campaign––forgetting to give the protagonist a personal reason to fight––that I hoped would be fixed here, but alas.

What makes it worse is that the gameplay and story progression are completely out of sync. I beat the entire game on my third run in 4 hours. With each run, you get up to two keys to potentially unlock bits of story. That means you'll get about one piece of the story every two runs. There are twelve pieces of the story; I got the first and then beat the whole damn game. Now I have to go back and grind to see the remaining story when I've already beaten the final boss and resolved the conflict. I missed the entire story because I never had to reset because I blazed through the gameplay! It's just a real shame that I experienced everything without knowing... why it's happening. The final boss had me asking myself what the hell is going on because I don't know the backstory at all.

Again, I still really recommend. The devs did a great job, but Side Order remains in the shadow of Octo Expansion's incredible success. Like the default singleplayer campaign, there's just a lot of lost story potential here that, while not necessary, would have really elevated this DLC into something amazing.

I'm going to make a few observations that should be obvious, but maybe they aren't. Anyway, this is inspired by some of my friends talking about DnD.

What you do with a game can have absolutely nothing to do with what the game wants you to do. And that's perfectly fine.

With that said, just because you do things with that game, does not make that game about those things. If I tell you that I use chess to woo strangers, this does not make chess an inherently romantic game.

A game is about whatever it lets you do with its mechanics. If the mechanics facilitate you doing a thing, then the game might indeed be about that. If they actively stand in the way of you doing a thing, then it is definitely not about that.

A game that does not help you contextualize your imaginative roleplay is definitely not doing you any favors. By all means, keep doing what you love, but there might be a game out there that absolutely helps you and facilitates the thing you want to do without leaving you out in the cold to make it all up on your own.

It is perfectly fine to houserule a game to oblivion and back to get it to facilitate the things you want to do. But at some point, you must admit you aren't actually playing that game anymore.

Don't encourage people to play a game without including the context that you are playing an entirely different version of it to have fun.

Sorcerers’ society find out the causes of earthquakes happening faster than usual was MC due to their magic potential (MC being the cause of all the natural ‘phenomenon’ in S2) and now want to investigate MC and call them in.

Drama has already started baby.

Solomon who’s against this but goes with MC to make sure they’re ok because it’s not a good idea to ignore a seemingly threat invitation I mean.

It’s explained the Ring of light was used to console MC’s magic and everything is fine now but they’re doubting it and want to investigate the Ring of light for themselves, if it’s actually successfuly tamed their magic or just a temporary device to tone it down- simply meaning if MC’s overflow of magic would still be leaking and not fully restrained.

[Also add overprotective Solomon drama who’s against this because that’s hot and more dramatic]

It’s found out the ring of light isn’t powerful enough to completely prevent MC’s magic from overflowing and now…

The sorcerers’ society have deemed MC a threat. A large threat to the human world.

Who would be better off dead. No. SHOULD be dead.

I just noticed Mephisto matches with Barbatos (who is matchy with Diavolo) in the anniversary outfits in his SSR memory card

These three were also the only three who had half masks in the masquerade event!!!

I despise the phrase “it’s not for everyone” because it sounds so damn condescending. It just makes it seem that they’re above you and you can’t do the thing they do because “it’s not for everyone.” It’s always said in a snide sneer way and it’s gross. “We know it’s hard to do/be _____, it’s not for everyone.” Maybe im spiteful idk but it sounds like “we think you can’t do it.” It’s same vibes as “_____ has so much potential.” Pisses me tf off.
