Alastor is not lawful evil. Calling him lawful either means you don’t know what lawful means, or you believe it was legal to commit murder in the 1900’s America. Yes, he’s evil, I think we can all agree with that (I can concede slightly to neutral even). People point to his morals as him being lawful, but that’s not what the alignment chart means by lawful. In the alignment chart, neutral means bending the rules or occasionally breaking them. Chaotic means challenging authority and constantly breaking rules. Alastor is either chaotic neutral or chaotic evil. He might have his own rules about who he kills and who he doesn’t kill, but that doesn’t mean he’s lawful. I’ve seen so many comments and videos calling him Lawful Evil, that I’m certain people have misunderstood what lawful evil means. Alastor doesn’t change laws to make it so that his actions are legal. He straight up just breaks laws. When he was alive, he killed and ate people. He obviously doesn’t follow the law. Please stop calling him lawful evil.

Neutral good: "At least if Vaggie dies Charlie will become more assertive and be able to help her remaining friends better"

Lawful neutral: "Vaggie has already shared her backstory and Charlie lacks character development, the show might as well have spoiled her death already"

Chaotic neutral: "Vaggie dying would utterly break Charlie's character making the show way more exciting as she wreaks havoc with her incredible power instead of doing almost nothing"

Neutral evil: "I want Vaggie to die so I can ship Charlie with *rolls dice* genderbent Niffty Alastor hybrid who is into women now"

DnD idea, when a metallic dragon alignment is evil they they become oxidized. Like a silver dragon would be a tarnished silver dragon, and a copper dragon would be a oxidized copper dragon. They would also get the traits of that type of metal when it's oxidized. The inverse can happen to chromatic dragons (their alignment is good) except they become more gem like. Red dragons could become a Ruby red dragon, blue dragons could be sapphire blue dragons, and so on so forth.

I've been thinking about this for a while, and I think I've come to a conclusion.

MXTX Characters Alignment

Luo Binghe - Ranges from Neutral Good to Neutral Evil over the course of his life, it really just depends what his mental space is like. Settles somewhere around True Neutral.

Lan Wangji - Neutral Good. I know at first glance he seems like a shoe-in for Lawful, but that's really only at first glance. Lan Wangji will absolutely bend some rules for a good reason.

Hua Cheng - Chaotic Neutral. I don't really think I need to explain this one.

Shen Qingqiu - True Neutral. Guy would go to hell and back for his Sect and his students, and he's pretty protective of younger people in general, but everyone else he could take or leave.

Wei Wuxian - Chaotic Good. Again, no explanation necessary.

Xie Lian - Neutral Good I think? Tends towards the chaotic, but has some range in it. Kind of hard to place.

Sokka is definitely lawful good, always do the right thing, even if it means not double crossing criminals. Whereas Katara is neutral good, willing to break some rules if it means doing the right thing. And then theres chaotic good Aang who will definitely do the right thing but also is way more interested in having fun than doing work.

I've seen lots of people talk about how Crowley-type humans like Aziraphale-types and vice versa, and I think a huge part of that is that each have such fabulously complimentary good qualities

As an Aziraphale coded human who tries hard to do the right thing, my biggest failing is leaning too far towards 'lawful goodness'. I want to be the kind of person Crowley is - a big-picture thinker who is always questioning, always empathetic to a cause, making shades-of-grey assessments from his own strong moral code and striving so hard every day to protect those around him.

On the flip side, I could see a Crowley-coded (chaotic neutral??) person cherishing the exuberance and passion that Aziraphale has, the clarity of vision and and faith in an end goal, the excitement in small victories and determination to always keep fighting...

On their own they're both quite extreme approaches, but together they create a wonderful balance. So of course we're drawn to each other. And of course Crowley and Aziraphale couldn't help being pulled into each other's orbit from that very first hello
