A/n: Happy preseason game day! Here’s some cute Justin fluff for ya.

You really did try to go to sleep. You readjusted the pregnancy pillow to where you wanted it, a few times, turned up the fan from your phone and even scrolled mindlessly through Tik Tok for an hour with your headphones in but nothing could take the one thing on your mind: cinnamon French toast and a vanilla shake from Canter’s Deli. The only issue was that it was 1:42am and Justin was soundly asleep next to you. You didn’t want to risk waking him up and disrupting his sleep schedule three days before a game but you also knew that the only way you’d be able to get some sleep tonight is if you made this tiny road trip.

As stealthy and quietly as you could get out of bed at 33 weeks pregnant, you grabbed a hoodie to pair with your Nike sweat shorts and headed to the closet to find some shoes. You were prepped and ready to go until you noticed your husband sitting up in bed, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.

“Where are you headed off to?” His voice was a bit hoarse from not using it for a few hours. And probably from celebrating and cheering with the guys all throughout practice this week.

You’d been busted. “I can’t sleep and the baby really wants a vanilla shake from Canter’s and—”

“Canter’s? That’s like an hour away babe, you’re not going by yourself.” Justin huffs out a breath, standing up and giving his body a quick stretch, attempting to soothe the sore muscles that have accumulated a lot of wear and tear throughout the season. “Give me like two minutes, I’ll drive.”

“No it’s fine, I’ll be right back. You can go back to sleep, it’s Raiders week.”

He laughs and grabs a T-shirt and shoes, quickly getting dressed. Once he was finished, he stood up to place a tender kiss to your forehead. “It is Raiders week but I’ve got an important mission to accomplish right now. Let’s go get you and my baby some Canter’s.”

Although you felt a little guilty for waking him up, you secretly relished in the moments you got to spend alone with Justin during football season. Most of the time you only saw him for a few hours at a time when he wasn’t at the facility or watching film and you’d even taken up watching game tape so much that you could probably break down most NFL defenses if you wanted to. But this season was a little different with the pending arrival of your first child. Baby Herbert was going to be half you and half him and you’d never seen him so excited and ready for this next chapter of your lives.

Justin always talked about how his dad had shaped him as a person and he modeled the way he lived after Mark Herbert and the thought of having his own kid to look after and take care of created this glow of joy around him everywhere he went. And it made him even sexier if you were honest. Although the season was busy he was even more attentive and caring than before which you didn’t think was possible. He attended every doctors appointment 15 minutes early, read more baby books than you had, downloaded a pregnancy app to track the baby’s growth as well as tracking your sleep while he was on the road. It was sweet. You couldn’t wait to watch him walk around your house holding a tiny baby in his large hands. But there was also the fact that you’d decided to procreate with a man who was 6’6 and weighed 240 pounds so maybe…baby Herbert could just stay in there a little while longer.

Two and a half hours later, you were back home sitting at the kitchen counter ready to dig into the meal that you had been thinking about for approximately five hours.

“Do you want some?” You asked him in between bites, letting out a satisfied moan.

You hear a small laugh behind you as he places his hands around your bump, making tiny circles with his thumbs. “I’m okay baby, I’ll just wait til you’re done so we can head upstairs.”

“Thanks for taking me J. I’m sorry for interrupting your sleep.”

“Eh I’ll be fine. As long as my girls are okay, I’m good.” He responds with a peck as he helps you up the stairs.

“Well your girls appreciate it. And we’re so lucky to have you.” You yawn as you climb back into bed, Justin covering the two of you with the duvet. He cuddled into you as you hugged your pillow once again, sleep quickly taking over.

Just when you thought you couldn’t love him any more, you made him a dad and the love you had for him increased tenfold.

Oh wow! I wasn't expecting you all to like the mcd sona so much!!! But I'm so happy you do!! Thank you to everyone for the compliments and have a garroth in return!

Also!! Some of you showed interest in me making a minecraft roleplay of my own!!!!! I'm posting about it day to day on tik tok but!! If yall want to hear about it here I'll make posts!!

So under the cut has some info on that in the mean time! To see if anyone has any intrest ^^

I do not know what to call it rn so it has the temporary name of 'Villiage Tributes' which I hate but I suck at titles lmfaoo

Character design stuff and their info is at the bottom for now I'll talk about what I know I want video formatting and general universe lore wise ^^.

Video Format:

-whole the main focus will be on the storytelling there will be some just general playing minecraft aspects! Like the getting materials and building, because I liked a small amount of those ya know! And no one includes them at all anymore. :(

-audience feedback will be a HUGE part! Mainly in things like end pairings and junk so long as it doesn't compromise the writing ^^

-while the main medium will be well-minecraft lolol, I would want to have some scenes/ Intros be done with art/animatics!!! To make up for some parts where minecraft may lack the proper ommf lmfao (like when a important character in introduced the first scene will be drawn to better show off character designs and junk!

Universe Lore:

-it will be kind of a skyrim kingdom build- where there is a major central city and leader, and a bunch of regional lords as well, maybe like a council thing? Oh?

-there are currently 3 major love interests! (For the mc) they will get individual posts but here are just the uh, biggest tropes? With them?

-Guard x Noble (come on i- how can I not?? Mcd or not it's necessary for medival fantasy come ON)

-Flirt Hopeless romantic x oblivious (it's cute trust me)

-Villian x hero (i- come on come ON)

Also!!! There's a possibly poly options!!!! (Not with the villian so sorry lads)

-this is taking place directly after a giant Civil War for the rights of Animal and Magic Folk! So the world we enter in is currently recovering and rebuilding and has gone through MASSIVE social and legal changes!

-we won't be originally starting off in a village! We will be starting in something more of a camp/ settlement? And ontop of everything we will be going through the process of getting it legally recognized as a village!!

As you walked around the empty arena, you couldn’t help but smile to yourself. This was all you ever wanted, and this moment felt unreal.

“First show babes”

You jumped at the sudden voice behind you, that was Camille, your best friend.

“Oh my gosh, you scared me” you said laughing.

“I’m sorry” she said hugging you. “I just wanted to say how proud I am of how far you’ve come”

“Thanks” you said smiling.

“Your first joined tour!” she squealed in excitement.

You squealed in excitement, in response and started jumping around with her.

Y/N started writing her own songs at the age of 7, and by 10, she taught herself how to play guitar. When she was 17, she started uploading covers of her favorite songs on her YouTube channel; and by the age of 20, she switched to Tik Tok where she would upload original songs.

A year later, she released her song “Olvidate De Mi”, which she wrote herself and recorded with a friend while in her freshman year of college with the help of a friend. Then she uploaded the song to her Tik Tok, and the song became an overnight success.

In less than a month, she got contacted by different record labels and ended up signing with a small independent music label called Crimson Records.

Now, four months followed the release of her album “Efecto Mariposa” and the announcement of her joining Jack Harlow on tour and now it was finally here.

At that moment, your manager Marc started walking towards you.

“Y/N, there you are, there is someone who wants to meet you” he said.

Something you would never get tired of is meeting your fans, and just thinking about the fact that you have fans just feels unreal. Marc started walking with you following along, to the dressing rooms, with your assistant Avrey and Camille.

“Right here” he said once you all stopped in front of an unoccupied dressing room.

“Ok”

You opened the door.

“Hi” you said in a sweet tone of voice as you slightly opened the door, but quickly stopped yourself at the sight of the other person at the other side of the door.

You started walking away, while Camille, Marc, and Avrey quietly laughed at the whole interaction.

At that moment, Jack Harlow walked out of the dressing room into the hallway and started walking over to you with the most charming smile and kind eyes.

“Hi” he said smiling at you.

“Hey” you said trying to contain your nerves and excitement.

“It’s good to see you” he said leaning in for a hug.

“I’m sorry to bother you” you said shyly hugging him back still starstruck by his presence.

“You're not bothering me at all. I'm happy to be here” he said while embracing you. “How you doing?”

“Good. I was at your L.A. show and It was really good. I love your music”

“You know how to make a man smile for sure” he said with a cocky smile.

“Oh stop it” you said laughing.

You and Jack chatted for a while until he excused himself to carry on with his busy schedule.

“Alright, it was nice meeting you” he said hugging you again.

“You too” you said hugging him back.

“Love ya, bye” he said before he left.

After that, you went back to your dressing room with Avrey and Camille following you along as they giggled at the whole interaction.

“Did that just happen?” you said blushing while covering your face as soon as you entered back your dressing room.

“That was honestly the greatest reaction I’ve ever seen, because you walked in and you were like” Camille said, then she started mimicking your voice. “Hi, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god”

Everyone started laughing.

“That’s because you said it was a fan” you said laughing.

“It was really cute” Avrey added.

“Oh my God” you said as it all started to sink in. “He is really handsome”

“He is” Avrey and Camille agreed laughing.

Anime I watched in 2022 Part 2:

11. Rising of the Shield Hero Part 2- 3/5

Where do I begin with this? It started off strong but by the 3rd or 4th episode I started to question if this was the same shield hero that I watched before. Don’t even get me started on how many times I watched Ost die only for her to come back to life. Thank goodness for the banger opening and ending. I briefly read the manga a while back so I knew that content was left out. After this season ended I reread and yup A LOT was left out. Hopefully the next season can redeem this show.

12. Spy x Family 10,000/5

Ahhhhh I was so excited for this one. I read the manga so I knew the plot well and was a wee bit nervous when I saw Cloverworks was one of the studios doing the production (they basically cut 90% of Horimiya content) but much to my surprise they kept all of the original content, plus added some to really flesh out the show and it’s characters. This will be one of those shows that people will be talking about for years to come. The animation, the characters, the opening and ending were all spectacularly done. Anya deserves all the happiness in the world. Loid is the best fake dad and fake husband (all for the mission of course) and Yor is the new waifu, I don’t make the rules. God I really love these characters and seeing them animated so wonderfully brings a smile to my face.

13. Ya Boy Kongming 5/5

This was a underrated gem for this year. I need to thank tik tok for showing me clips for this one otherwise I wouldn’t have know it existed. And that opening: A BANGER!! Seriously, if anyone skips the opening, they need to be arrested immediately! All the characters were so likable and you were cheering on the ‘rivals’. If you’re a fan of music, I highly recommend this anime.

14. The Case Study of Vanitas 5,000/5

Ahhhhhh! Ok ok. I’m calm now. But seriously this anime has turned my brain into goop. I had serious Vanitas brain rot when I finished watching this one. From opening to ending this one hooked me. Alllll the characters were interesting, even the minor ones; you just wanted to know more about every one and everything. And I know, I KNOW Vanitas and Jeanne are endgame but whyyy is the chemistry between Vanitas and Noe sooooo good. Like holy guacamole their chemistry was off the charts (and that first ending didn’t help either) I can’t wait to know more about these characters and see what shenanigans they get up too.

15. Misfit of the Demon King Academy 5/5

There’s just something about overpowered characters that gets me so hyped. Now don’t get me wrong, I like to follow the journey of a character from rock bottom and see them rise to the top. But sometimes you just want to see a Main Character just go nuts from the get go and that’s the main character from this series. “Did you really think killing me would stop me?” will never stop being epic. Like damn! This was such a refreshing anime and the ending I didn’t expect. Really can’t wait to see more of this universe.

16. The Millionaire Detective: Balance Unlimited 4/5

Listen, there was so much hype around this anime that I went into it expecting a lot. Especially the chemistry between the two male leads but alas I was severely disappointed. While the story and other characters were good it just felt like something was missing. And I know everyone loves Kambe but I was more into Haru and I just wanted him to one up Kambe in some way (don’t ask me to go into detail because I can’t even explain it myself). Maybe I need to read the manga to get into this one.

17. Love After World Domination 5/5

This was such a cute, dorky romance. If you were a Power Rangers fan as a kid, I think you’ll appreciate this one. It’s a nice spoof of that universe with the main characters trying to navigate their love life, school, being a hero and being a villain (is she really a villain though). I went into this one with absolutely no expectations but every week I was continuously surprised by this story. Really hope we get a second season to this.

18. Skeleton Knight in Another World 5/5

I know a lot of people kept comparing this one to Overload but can I just say that I enjoyed this one wayyy more than Overload. Arc and Arianne are much more enjoyable characters to me and I just adored their chemistry. And Ponta was just the cutest addition to this series. This anime only has 12 episodes but it was enough to hook me in to that universe. I’m really hoping we get another season.

19. Overlord Season 1 3/5

I really tried to like this one. Honestly I tried my best to like it but I couldn’t get past the first season. The characters felt bland and overdone for me. Maybe it’s because I watched so many isekai anime’s prior that this one didn’t wow me. Maybe if I’m bored I’ll give this another go.

20. Komi Can’t Communicate Part 2 5/5

Ahhh cuteness overload. I really love Komi and seeing her progress slowly but surely is always a wonderful sight to behold. Chadano will forever be best boy. This season had so many laugh out loud and wtf moments that I really hope we get another season.

Steve is the best big brother ever but he pulls the shittiest pranks on the kids. He is always 3 trends behind in the prank world so they always know what he’s about to do. Even El knows the Whoopie Cushion is hiding under the pillow for her to sit on most times. Dustin thinks it’s because Steve would never intentionally hurt them. Max thinks it’s because he’s too slow to realize times have changed. Robin is the only one that knows it’s because Steve gets all his “great ideas” from renting the old movies from the video store.

Steve would 100% become Tik Tok famous at any age. He’d master the all of the dances and become the biggest thirst trap on the platform. Only problem was. He was completely oblivious to it. He just liked to dance and his followers seemed to like it when he put in the extra effort to move his body a little more or take his shirt off. So he was more than happy to do as his new friends asked. Nancy, Jonathan, Robin and Hell even Argyle had warned him not to get to attached with the people sending him nice comments for what they wanted. But Steve insisted that his friends on the app liked him for who he really was. It helped a lot that Eddie was more than supportive of him and even appeared in a few of his Tik Toks. The lead singer danced along side his boyfriend (more so staring at the man than dancing but who was going to ever judge him).

One day during a discussion about what they wanted to grow up to be as children and how stupid their child selfs were, Robin had loudly proclaimed that she had wanted to become a “crayon tester”. Something her parents came up with to keep her busy on long car rides and in important public places to keep her happy and quiet as she was always talking to strangers about all their family business. Everyone thought it fit her quite well and if there was a real possibility of a job opening for a crayon tester at the Crayon factory she’d be a shoe in. Eddie laughed about becoming a veterinarian. Telling a long exaggerated story about how many animals he saved over the many years he spent living at his Uncle’s only to have Steve hold up two fingers knowing quite well from a proud Wayne himself that Eddie had saved a stray baby kitten and a nest of hatchlings once. However when everyone turned to Steve he stayed quiet. They poked and tried to pry it loose, even Nancy didn’t know what his child self wanted to be. “A lawyer like your parents?” Made the boy turn his nose up at Johnathan and scrunch his face in disgust. “And you’re supposed to be a journalist Byers?” He asked laughing to try and raise his own mood. But no matter how much he tried to change the subject his friends wouldn’t let up. So he relented. “An astronaut…” he muttered blushing and looking away in shame. “I wanted to be an astronaut. Mostly to get my parents to pay attention to me… because it seemed like when I watched the astronauts on TV with the Nanny’s… they all had a huge crowd of people cheering for them. Their whole family was so happy and I wanted that too. When I told my parents they just laughed and told me I needed to be smart to do that. I tried to get by on my grades but I just couldn’t get past the things my parents said… and my math wasn’t worth a damn so I’m freshman year I game up on that dream and started chasing sports. Figured if I couldn’t get into college for my brain I might for athletics and then… maybe mom and dad would be proud… ya know eventually.” Everyone stared at Steve their expressions ranging from heartbreak to rage at his neglectful parents. Steve wanted to take everything he said back but was swallowed in a huge bear hug instead.

During the first summer Steve and Eddie spent together, they worked in the same job. Well… they worked at the same place. They both worked at the small locally owned amusement park that opened a few years before just outside of Hawkins. Eddie and Corroded Coffin got their first real “long term gig” that promised to pay a low but even rate every Monday through Friday and Sunday with Saturdays off to do whatever or preform elsewhere for extra cash. A good amount of musically inclined people would come to the park after dark to listen to the performances so the offers to perform in bars, restaurants, clubs, and even as an opening act for one of Indiana’s better known Indie bands. Steve worked as a game attendant in a booth near the stage. His booth contained three separate games he had to man. The first was a water gun game where his “guests” had to aim jets of water at a clowns mouth and see who could get their buzzer to ring first. He found the water pressures on the first and third chairs were the highest and changed between the two to make it seem like it was random. He kept track of which chair won last to make sure the kids or people who looked like they needed cheering up would be sure to win. The second game was ring toss. That one was always rigged but had the best prizes in the whole park so he got a lot of traffic on that game. He noticed there were only around 17 bottles the rings would fit over at all ranging from small prize to large. Only one bottle would allow for a large prize however. He tried to discourage people from playing it when they had young kids who desperately wanted a prize and instead tried to encourage the other water game where prizes were almost guaranteed. The last game was a basket game. Shoot an easy one shot from like 6 feet away 3 times get a large prize. Easy right? Wrong. The hoops were rigged to have screws poking out the back to keep people from making baskets. He was instructed to tighten or loosen the screws so much based on the parks expected crowd capacity before he opened the game. He really hated cheating everyone so he was sure to tighten the screws just enough to allow for a few more baskets but keep his bosses from getting suspicious. Busy days like holidays it could get quite crowded and hectic. But on slow easy going days when Eddie and his crew showed up early to set up, Eddie would take a long walk with Steve on his lunch break to let him relax and let him know how loved he was and that all this was going to be worth it.

Sometimes you watch a tik tok that enrages you to the point where you want to rant for an hour. So this is it (probably not an hour-length read mind you but ya know).

Two very popular arguments on the clock app have my blood boiling.

1. Where did Lucien’s ACOTAR personality go in the rest of the series?

Oh, I don’t know, let me see. He began the series in relative peace, only having to deal with Tamlin’s ass, which was honestly his least serious problem. Remember how his brothers and father executed his lover brutally and then tried to kill him? He owes Tamlin his life, so you know. In the very beginning of ACOTAR, first thing that happens to Lucien is that his friend, Andras, is murdered in cold blood and SKINNED. Not only does he die, but he’s skinned. After that it’s just downhill for my boy Lulu from there. He is taken under the mountain, tortured to break Feyre’s spirits, UTM is a particularly triggering place to him since he had his eye carved out of his head like 50 years ago, he was so severely beaten and his face was in such a state, it MADE TAMLIN VOMIT. So, he goes back UTM, his mind is held by Rhys like a toy, he’s whipped by Tamlin under Amarantha’s rule, he’s punished for helping Feyre, yet he still goes to help her again. He’s severely abused physically. Good good. Then he comes out of that situation just to find himself in the worst PTSD hours not only for himself, but for Tamlin AND Feyre. He’s caught in the middle, any push he tries to achieve with Tamlin backfires horribly. The High Lord with the power of brute strength hits him. Feyre is scheming and he is aware of it, he gets dragged between the two of them, he isn’t sure what Feyre is up to and tries to go rescue her. He thinks her mind is warped by Rhys who lied so much to him and everyone, Lucien certainly couldn’t guess he was good actually. Feyre leaves Tamlin and messes up the Spring Court in the process, leaving the High Lord to be a useless depression monster, the direct result of that being that he is sexually assaulted by Ianthe. Tamlin has 2 brain cells so of course Hybern double crosses him, which leads directly to Feyre’s sisters being turned fae. Keep in mind that Lucien had no power over Tamlin at any point, you think he’d let himself get dragged into dumb deals with Hybern? Of course not. But now his mate thinks him culpable in her Making, she loses the one she loves due to this and it’s obviously directed to Lucien too, she never asked for a mate, she was happy to marry Graysen, so now Lulu is here courtless (oh no), homeless (so sad), with a mate (yay) who doesn’t want him (noooo) so maybe, MAYBE he is depressed. He finds friends with some sad little humans who also have sad lives like a queen without a throne and a man whose people have been dead for 500 years and the human lands is nothing like it used to be. Lucien is so far away from happiness or even just like a normal, simple day, it’s funny. And we’re surprised he’s not the snarky little rake he was in ACOTAR? Just READ.

2. Elain clearly doesn’t want Lucien and clearly wants Azriel, this is a crack ship

All I have to say to this is the following:

We don’t know what Elain wants, we don’t know why she does whatever she does, we don’t know her motivations and we don’t know how she feels about Lucien. All we know is that she’s reluctant to speak to him and she opposes the idea of mates. It’s fiction, it can go anywhere. SJM could kill half of the characters on one page. Stop arguing with Eluciens (or anyone else) about their ship’s validity. Let me have my cottagecore fantasy with them and maybe you’ll be right, but I can still ship it, even if it doesn’t become canon. It doesn’t have to be correct to be a ship. I used to ship Sasuke with Gaara because they interacted twice and my 14 year old brain was like yes. Just leave people be, let us enjoy our ships 😌

On a boring Tuesday afternoon you were scrolling through tiktok when you happened to stumble upon an on the rise designer who’s work really impressed you. And while extensive fashion knowledge wasn’t your forte, you do listen to Christian when you rambles on about different aspects of what he has to do throughout his day so, you know enough. You liked the video you saw and decided to explore his page to see what all else the person could do.

About an hour passes and Christian comes home. You're still very engrossed in stalking this designer’s page (you ended up following him too) “hey dove,” Christian greets as he sets his things down on the island table. You look up from your phone and greet him with a warm smile “hi” but then you immediately look back down at your phone. Your boyfriend furors his brows a bit but shrugs it off because whatever. “What are you up to, hmmmm” “oh, nothing. I just found this creator on tik tok that I really liked and got invested in their page” you respond. Christian nods his head and says “cool” and not putting anymore thought or care into it, because why should he.

You guys settle down for the night, after already having dinner and watching an episode of your favorite show, to you bed. You find yourself back in that designers page looking at all his work. He just posted a video showing off a new custom piece he made and was auctioning it off to his followers. Interested in it you comment how you would like it. Almost immediately he replies back saying “omg I love you so much, dm me your shipping address, this piece is yours” Slightly shocked by his “I love you” but thinking it was just because you post funny, wholesome videos on insight into you and your famous boyfriends life, you decide to dm the creator.

You:Hello, you are so very kind for gifting me piece

Him: Oh of course! I’m such a big fan of your boyfriend and of you. I love to watch the cute videos you post of the two of you.

You: Aww, why thank you! And like you asked the shipping address is 34213 De-Vil Estates.

Him: No problem, and thank you! I’ll make sure to get this to you ASAP!

Christian leans his onto your shoulder, “who ya’ texting” he peers down at your phone. “Oh, that tik toker I told you about earlier. He’s a designer and posted a video about giving away this really beautiful dress and I commented that I would like it, not thinking much of it because a lot of people were. But anyway he responded to my comment by saying to dm him, which leads us to here,” you say , letting Christian look at your messages. “Hmm” is all you get from him in response. “Hmm, is that a good hmm or a bad hmm” “nothing just a hmm” Christian replies “it’s just, I don’t know, I could’ve made you a dress like that if you liked it and really wanted it.” “I know that,” you say “but sometimes I like to support others who aren’t as successful, and who are trying to get their name out there” “yeah”he says “you’re not upset are you babe?” you ask, turning a bit to face him “no no” he responds, turning to look at you also. “Let’s just go ahead to bed, huh? I’ve got an early morning tomorrow and I wanna snuggle with you to sleep” Christian says, trying to get of the topic of his maybe jealousness. You were about to interject and state that there was no reason for him to be upset, but considering it seemed like him just wanted to drop the topic, you agreed. You put your phone on your bedside table and snuggled down into your covers, cuddling up to Christian and laying your head down in his chest.

When you wake up the next morning, Christians side of the bed is vacant, which is to be expected. You get get and continue on with your morning routine, eating breakfast and getting ready for your job. Grabbing your keys you head out your car and get on your way.

A lot of time passes by and Christian is home first. He made sure to grab the mail and is about to head back inside when he sees a package on the front porch. He’s a little confused because he can’t remember ordering anything recently and you hadn’t mentioned ordering anything either. Then his minds trickles back to last night and the dress. But he thinks that that person couldn’t have gotten the package to you that quickly, surely right? He takes the package inside none the less.

A little while latter and you arrive back home. “There’s a package here for you” Christian says as soon as you walk through the door. “And hello to you too” you laugh out, setting your things down and walking over to your package. You then are like “I’ll need a knife” and go over to the draw to grab one.

Slicing the sides and down the middle of the box you set down the knife to open up the box to reveal a letter on top of a layer of tissue paper, addressed to you. You set it to the side at the moment and open the tissue paper.

Under the paper you are greeted by a cute small sleek black heart shaped purse with matching accent colors to the dress under it. You gasp at the purse, picking it up and admiring it. You then grab the dress and unfold it and hold it out in front of you.

“Oh it’s gorgeous!” you exclaim as you now bring it up to hold against your body. You look up at Christian, “what do you think baby?” “I love it” he says earnestly, looking it up a down. “I need to remember to thank that tik toker yet again… better yet! I’ll make a post tagging him in it! I think that would be nicer, what do you think?” you turn to Christian.

*I’m sorry this took so long and that it’s going to need a part two. Life is hectic but expect a more works to come in the near future

Just blogging my socials here too. Dunno what the next big trend will be and it’ll be exhausting for some sites to keep up with. It’s all crazy right now.

Deviantart I have stored all my images because of the AI thing. Honestly even if they have changed the default for images we create to be auto permitted to AI whatever I have been slowly crawling away from the site anyways. It’s not what it used to be. Also just the user interface is annoying. I’m just tired of it. I’ll have it but I’m not going to maintain a lot of it anymore I don’t think.

Twitter, I have no damn clue. I literally have no clue what is going to happen with this dumpster fire of a site. It’s got issues and then more issues yet it’s been a popular platform because of the whole tumblrpocalypse back a few years ago. So uhhhhh ya.

Furaffinity, I’m honestly just ready to move on from it. I have nothing against it or furries. It’s just not what I want to be seen as or associated or adjacent of being a furry when I’m not. I have done so many commissions. Most was furry related and over time it’s just kind of been my own personal downfall to where I have hardly anything that’s me out there or what makes me, me. So I’m not pointing or blaming anyone but myself and just also due to life circumstances I have been nothing but grateful to the work I was able to do to get thru everything thanks to that site. I’m at point where I don’t need to rely so much on comms and I need to focus on myself and what art I want to do. So thanks for being there and getting me thru a lot of the crap back then and sort of still now too. I just need to spread my wings and reshape myself.

Tumblr I’m not sure yet how active I wanna be on here if nothing else pans out. It’s hard to get a following unless you do like fanart I feel like to gain traction it seems. Dunno yet.

Pillowfort seems to be the new tumble but not sure if I wanna join.

Inkblot I just opened and I heard it’s still early in dev but like passable and it looks very promising. It’s just some bumps of user interface I have yet to explore and compare to others.

Instagram is whatever. Everyone knows it’s a dump of a site for backlog tik toks or snaps or art thieves and some backlog for some artists just to have a footprint on another checklist site to have.

ArtStation I feel like I’m waaaaay out of my league on there but once I build myself up better I will make it better.

But ya thats my thoughts and me just updating.

Ha Ha Women ☕

If you are on any social media, like Instagram and Tik Tok, then you can understand the title very well.

But if you don't know (you're either living under a rock or you're an angel who's able to keep themselves away from social media toxicity) then lemme tell you, a clip in which two animated character can be heard saying "Hmph, women" followed by a laugh while sipping on their coffee, has gone viral and has now become a trend.

The clip of the animated character is from a video on YouTube called, "Infomercial: The Pill", posted on 9th October,2017.

Now taking inspiration from this trend (seriously?) people has started commenting this phrase (Women ☕) on most of the posts where females are shown doing something silly. (Basically stating every women is idiot and has no common sense.)

Like I saw this reel on Instagram where a girl walks into a glass door. And unsurprisingly the comment section was filled with "Women ☕". What does that even mean?! Do you think that this can't happen with boys? That the glass doors have magnet that only attract a person with long hair, face full of makeup and wearing a dress? (that's how you'd define "women", won't you? Typical.)*groans in exasperation* Let me just tell you this real quick, this the act of walking into the glass door, can happen to anyone regardless of the gender. I know it may come as a surprise but 'Men' can also accidentally walk into glass door. (Shocking! I know.) .

Should we start writing 'Men ☕' below the posts that states "A man raped a women" again? Should we comment 'Men ☕' when we read about a husband beating his wife to death, again? Should we start saying 'Men ☕' when we hear about drunk fight break out between men on stupid topic? Why can't we write 'Men ☕' when a women is forced to abort or give up her new born girl child?

No. No, we can't do that. Because these same people, who get a kick out of writing 'Women ☕', will come out with a Big Banner saying "NOT ALL MEN ARE SAME!" . Oh, look at the irony, will ya?!

If you don't like to be stereotyped then DON'T stereotype others. (yeah, it's that simple.)

And you know what i have noticed? When someone does something stupid, they say "Oh! you are so dumb haha!!" but the moment a female does the same mistake, comments like "Girls are so dumb" and the infamous "Women ☕", are said. Do you really not see what the problem is? (I leave it to you to really think about it.)

What I actually want to say is we can't go around making assumptions and generalizing stuffs about anyone or any group of people, be it for men or women. It also doesn't mean that we start commenting 'Men' as a revenge or something because; firstly, it won't achieve anything and secondly we would be doing the same thing i.e. Stereotyping. If it's wrong when people stereotype women, then stereotyping men is wrong too. [ Stereotyping anyone is wrong.]

As you may have able to tell the topic hits too close to home. So thank you for reading my (not so) slightly intense rant. :)

121. The Field Guide by Tony DiTerlizzi & Holly Black--⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

I re-read this because I want to finish this series and I didn't really remember what had happened. It kind of flew by, but I'm wary of this series because of how forgettable it was. Hopefully the series will get my attention more as it progresses!

(This was a re-read. Below is my first review of the book) This was adorable, but at the same time, I hated the mom and the sister. How fair is it to blame everything on one particular child? Imagine the psychological trauma that kid has to endure with that, plus also dealing with his father's leaving. I know this is too deep for this book that is for younger readers, but reading this as an adult, I can see how unfair it all is. That being said, I'll probably read the rest of the series because this is still adorable af.

I won't lie, this, like book one, was a bit of a blur LOL. Although, I'm glad that the siblings are learning to work together rather than against each other. I have a feeling this series is going to be one of those stories that just leaves my brain as soon as I finish it...

123. The Book of Cold Cases by Simone St. James--⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I've never read a book by this author but this particular book has been getting a lot of attention so I was curious. I really enjoyed the surprisingly spooky aspect of this book and the true crime angle. I'm a huge true crime junkie, so I was pleasantly surprised. The house in this book was creepy af and I remember pausing what I was doing as the super creepy parts started because I wasn't expecting them. I'll hopefully pick up another book by James just to see if they become one of my auto-read authors!

124. The Unforgettable Logan Foster by Shawn Peters--⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was interested in reading this from the moment I saw the cover. It was a fun read with a really smart MC that added a lot of character to the book. I thought the foster parents were endearing and made me smile. I also loved that this book gave us some autism representation (although I am not a part of the community, but please feel free to correct me if this isn't a good representation!). I'm curious about what the sequel will be like, especially since some fun things were revealed near the end of this one! Also, I do think that although the story is geared toward middle grade readers, I was surprised to see that some of the characters were more of the YA age category. I think this book would be better geared towards the older of the 9-12 readers and the younger of the 13+ category!

125. The Spanish Love Deception by Elena Armas--⭐️⭐️⭐️

I’ve been wanting to read this ever since I heard about it on tik tok—yes, I’m aware of hyped up books (mainly thanks to my own curiosity and my job as a bookseller). The title and the concept IMMEDIATELY drew me in, so, I’ll admit I went into this with sort of high expectations, which we all know is usually a mistake. While I didn’t hate the story, I also didn’t love it? Especially after my friend let me know of some less than stellar word choices being used (I’ll admit, I listened to the audiobook and the whole thing is a bit of a blur when I try to think of specific phrases—however, props to them for getting a narrator who obviously speaks Spanish.) Anyway, back to the story: While I enjoyed the aspect of fake dating, slow burn, tight unit family, incredibly hot smut (that sex scene will forever be ingrained in my brain. Also, hi, “good girl” is just *shivers* magical) and surprisingly quick resolution after the main conflict, there were some random aspects that felt a bit problematic and ableist. There might be a few spoilers ahead. You’ve been warned. There was a weird storyline where the MC is trying to lose weight for her sister’s wedding and she goes to such an extreme, that she actually passes out. Sure, that leads to a “cute moment” with the love interest, but I think it’s dangerous to have that sort of storyline included into the book when the MC immediately realizes that she’s been “stupid”. She immediately reverts back to eating normally and then the topic is barely (if ever) brought up again afterward. I wish it were that easy. I think this is probably, for me, the most problematic aspect of this book. If this book were to go through a revision, I’d request that part be taken out because it’s a random and problematic plot device that isn’t even explored in earnest and is just waved off. I can see why this book is so popular. This was incredibly reminiscent of THE HATING GAME, which was also quite popular in the past (I being one of those big fans) and is now the subject of much scrutiny since it appears to not have survived the test of time. Who knows? Maybe this book will face its own reckoning five years from now. Although, I’ve already started to see people challenging it. To be clear, I’m giving this book three stars because of the Spanish, the enemies to lovers trope, and the smut. But it had the recipe for an incredible book that ended up being eh (besides the dirty talk. I’ll never stop mentioning that.) ___

126. Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco--⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was entertained by this book for the most part, but I totally get the references to ACOTAR that so many people have made. I wasn’t the biggest fan of that one, but I was entertained enough to read book two. Which I feel like might be the case with this one. This wasn’t my favourite read, but I can definitely see why so many people have enjoyed it. I kind of want to read book two, but it’s definitely not high up on my list. I thought the concept of twins holding such a fate was really interesting and I loved their short-lived relationship. I felt the emotions the MC felt when shit started hitting the fan and I don’t blame her for her anger. I will admit that my attention span called it quits half way through and I had to start the audiobook, which I was definitely not a big fan of and I wonder if that affected my reading of this book or if it was the story itself that I thought was just an alright read. The accent of the voice actor was a bit much LOL and a little dramatic. I did like the music they played though during tense scenes. If you’re a fan of bad boy fantasy novels without the smut (because this is a teen book), then you might enjoy this one!

Hi y’all. So uhhh 👉👈 I did a thing. Decided to stop being a chicken and “seize my destiny” because I keep saying “I’ll wait till the time is right.” And shit. Ive been wanting to do this for a long while so I finally did it.

I started a Twitch account under the name wendigoofficial if y’all uhhh ya know. Wanna support ye boi and be angels and like follow and all. It’s just for shits and giggles rn. I’ll just be playing bunch of COD or Apex Legends or whatever 😂 Thank yeeeeeee *hugs and kisses*

I don’t have a schedule for when I’ll be doing streams. I want to aim to do at least two streams a week. Most likely Saturday-Sunday, considering I don’t work over the weekend. May try to do a Friday night stream if I’m feeling lucky lol

Stone King will be in comic shops soon! Early this month, I did an interview to talk about it. It was a little weird talking about and promoting a book that I worked on and finished over 2 years ago. Give it a listen! This month I mostly stuck to working on You are the Chosen One and The City Between creatively. I’m almost at page 100 of You are the Chosen One. Feels kinda wild that I’ve gotten that far already. I’m about halfway through the 3rd chapter, so there is still a lot of it to go. I’ve been doing a lot of concept art for it. I haven’t had a chance to upload them because I’ve been too busy to pay much attention to social media. Speaking of social media, I know I’ve posted this picture before but it’s evergreen for me.

Talk about Elon Musk buying Twitter and talk about moving on to the next social media made me exhausted just thinking about it. But being an artist online means ya gotta use and push social media. So I got to figure out some solutions. I’m been paying Lauren Fiscus (who goes by Sylphy online) to flat You are the Chosen One for me and they want more stuff to work on. So I might pay them to make and post regular promo images of my current comics. That way something actually goes up on my social media sites and maybe they can get tik tok to work for me. I would need to make a style guide for them though. That’s the real biggest hurdle right now.

Since I’ve been busying working, I’ve been going through audiobooks while working. Two series that I rather enjoy had new installments. The first is the 9th book in the Rivers of London series, Amongst Our Weapons.

If you don’t know what the Rivers of London series is about, it follows biracial wizard detective Peter Grant as he looks into magical mysteries of London. The first 7 books had a really good on-going story, but book 8 floundered a bit without the overarching villain to chase. Amongst Our Weapons gets things back on track a big. Folks with a certain set of rings are getting their hearts magically exploded. There is a neat big of history and folklore tied to the case, so it was a fun ride.

The other audiobook I really dug this month was the 7th book in the series Fred the Vampire Accountant, Out of House and Home.

This series is a bit chiller than other urban fantasy books I usually read. A lot of them are about magic cops, which while giving every story a structure to follow, can get old. Fred the Vampire Accountant books are usually collections of short stories with smaller problems. Like in the first book, Fred is dragged to a LARP and one of the players’ necromancy spells are real. And they only affect Fred because he’s undead, everyone else is human. This 7th volume has him looking into the finances of a secret mall for supernatural creatures, only find out the mall is cursed. They are kinda light and silly. It may not focus on werewolves but I think if you liked Sorcery 101 you might dig the vampire accountant series.

Anyway, this coming May, I got to sit down and write a good chunk of Blue Moon. I’m trying to have it written by the end of July, but it will probably be like September or October. Otherwise, I’m still gonna keep up with my pages of Murky Water and You are the Chosen One. As I mentioned above, I also need to make a style guide so I can get more promo images made.

I like watching bookshelf tours in the background while I work. I’ve always enjoyed it, ever since the peak booktube era (early-mid 2010s). But right now during this booktok era I am having the following “old man yells at cloud” thoughts:

1. What is it with you kids and your fairy porn? (No judgement, you should see the shit that’s on my bookshelf. I’ve just seen A Court of Thorns and Roses recommended about a hundred too many times)

2. WHY DOES EVERYONE HAVE THE SAME BOOK SERIES’ AND THE SAME LOOKING IKEA BOOKSHELVES WITH THE SAME FAIRY LIGHTS PLEASE GET SOME ORIGINALITY FOR THE LOVE OF GOD

3. I thought we didn’t like Cassandra Clare anymore why am I seeing her books on everyone’s shelves? Same deal with Colleen Hoover I thought we cancelled her????

4. I’m so sick of hearing about YA fantasy novels, even more than I was hearing about YA dystopia back in the 2010s.

5. What the hell is “dark romance” or “dark fantasy”?

I don’t have Tik Tok because I want to throw that app in the garbage, so clearly I don’t pay attention to trends. I only get what trickles down in reels. I know that sounds very “nOt LiKe OtHeR gIrLs” of me but genuinely I’ve just never cared. And if these are all books you all like then that’s great! I’m so happy you’re reading and enjoying yourselves.

But if you’re just buying them because an algorithm said so, or because everyone else likes them, then maybe take a step back and consider what YOU want to read. Go to the library and read a book because the cover looked cute or the blurb sounded interesting. Go thrifting and find a new favourite in the back corner covered in dust or something. Hit up a free book library (if you have those in your country).

The Doo-Wap Queen is back!? Meghan Trainor has a New Album!?

“A wild Meghan Trainor has appeared!” is something I would say if I was traversing the city of Pallet Town in a Pokemon game. Literally had no idea Meghan was dropping a new album entitled Takin’ It Back. This took me by complete surprise because unlike Midnights and The Loneliest Time I wasn’t being constantly reminded of their existence by the constant fanfare and promotional advertising of their albums. I thought to myself “This girl has really fallen from grace”. Once a rising pop superstar, it seems like she has become an afterthought of Epic Records and another casualty of an artist on their way of having their work “shelved”. Meghan burst onto the scene with 2014’s “All About That Bass” an inescapable earworm which either made you want to get up and dance or stab your ears out. The song rocketed to #1 on the Hot 100 and made waves across the world. She followed it with multiple Hot 100 top 20 hits “Lips Are Movin’” (#4), “Dear Future Husband” (#14), and “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” (#8). Her debut album Title went on to debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot 200 and she even won a Grammy for “Best New Artist” in 2016. And then her sophomore album Thank You dropped in 2016 which was successful but not quite as successful as Title. Producing only two top 20 hits “No” (#3) and “Me Too” (#13) and debuting at #3 on the Hot 100 could have been the start of her demise. Fast forward to 2018 where her supposed third studio album No Excuses was supposed to be released after being pushed back multiple times and finally releasing in 2020. This was the nail in the coffin for Meghan. Her debut single for the album “No Excuses” released in 2018 didn’t even reach the top 40 (#46). Things only got worse for Meghan after two singles intended to be on No Excuses “Let You Be Right” and “Can’t Dance” didn’t even chart. This likely caused Epic Records to keep delaying the record until they could come up with a gameplan to salvage what was left of her career. Then in 2019 her second official single for the album “Wave” dropped. This song was a sonic departure of Meghan’s earlier work as she wished to pursue a “new sound”. Unfortunately this did not pay off. “Wave” failed to chart and to this day only has 10 million (a far cry from “All About That Bass” at 2.5 Billion). When No Excuses finally arrived in 2020, it hardly made an impact (debuting at only #25). On the same day of its release, the music video of its 3rd single “Nice to Meet Ya” ft. Nicki Minaj dropped. Now I personally thought this song was an absolute bop but was shocked to find out it only charted at #89 on the Hot 100. Perhaps with some better marketing and promotion, this song could have become a smash? That brings us to today where her latest studio album Takin’ It Back just dropped. Did anyone even know she had a new album coming out? And on the day of Taylor Swift’s Midnights? With all the Midnights buzz it appears that Meghan’s album was simply an afterthought to her label. The lack of marketing for the album makes this even more apparent. Did she even go on any talk shows or do any interviews for the album? Because I haven’t seen anything. I love Meghan but her label is mad slacking and making it seem like she is on the way out. From what I’ve listened from Takin’ It Back so far, it’s pretty good and marks a return to her signature doo-wap sound. Perhaps the virality of her song “Title” on Tik Tok had something to do with this. To my surprise though, the album seems to be holding its own so far. Currently, it sits at #5 on the U.S. Itunes charts right behind all the variations of Midnights and a handful of the songs are on the Itunes top 200. She dropped the music video for the track “Made You Look” on the album’s release date which is at the time of this writing is #8 on the Youtube Trending for Music charts and is steadily approaching 2 million views (the Jojo Siwa cameo was iconic, just saying). Can Meghan be a dark horse and rise back up to the prestige of pop’s elites or will she continue to falter? Guess we’ll just have to wait and find out.
