Jason had always been a theatre fan. That didn’t go away after his death and revival. So when he found out a theatre in Gotham was preforming a musical, he didn’t hesitate to audition. The guy he was running lines with was actually kind of cute.

Danny didn’t normally act in musicals. He may enjoy listening to them, but he never considered himself a great actor. However, he lost a bet with Tucker, so he had to audition for the musical Tucker was working on. It didn’t hurt that the guy he was auditioning with was really hot.

Tucker knew his friend Duke’s brother was auditioning. He also knew Duke’s brother was exactly Danny’s type. Having the director pair them together was just his job as Danny’s best friend.
