WHY ARE THEY MAD? PICK- A- CARD

Pile One:

your haters are mad because they are broke, busted and disgusted. Now i am not one to relish in people being down bad financially, i know how it feels however, this energy is coming from people who are mad at you for being in a better financial situation than them. For some, that may not even be the case. You may simply make things look effortless. You can have less and it appears like you have more. This anger may even be coming from haters that have more than you, actually and they are mad you are happy and content with less. You make less look good. You have people who are mad that they are materialistic, boujie, and live their life to impress others. They are superficial and living in debt because of it. We all have debt but their debt could have been avoided. They are mad they live their life trying to look rich and and you don't. Imagine having it all materialistically and still being miserable and mad!? On the flip side, you may very well be well off and living your best life and that's why they are mad. You are minding your business, happy, flourishing and making s&^% happen for yourself and they are mad. They fail to realize they can make s&^% happen for themselves if they would 1. get out this negative, hating and low vibrational energy 2. stop watching you & projecting 3. Nike vibes, just go out and do it- Instead, they rather be mad while your creating and working for reasons to be glad. I see that you have haters who are mad you are educated! This could be due to college or being self taught regardless, knowledge is power and you have haters who are mad you have power. Again, this is something they can work towards themselves but no. Some of you may be highly skilled and informed in a subject or multiple. You may have a lot of Gemini, libra, or Aquarius placements or houses in your natal or progressive birth charts. You may also have a lot of Taurus, Virgo and or Capricorn. The earth elements in your chart contribute towards the hard work you put in that they acknowledge and are mad about. Intuitively, it just seems like they are mad you have knowledge or skill or BOTH that can make you a lot of money- if you are not financially well of as of yet. They are mad at your potential, basically. They are mad that you have endurance and perseverance against all odds, basically. They are mad you invest a lot of time in studies to improve your craft or area of expertise and they do not, more than likely because they are overly concerned with what you and others are doing expect themselves. They have an addiction to FOMO and you are sober haha. Lastly, they are mad you are LIT. You have a nice personality, you are creative, physically active, attractive, funny, multi talented, versatile, down to earth, intelligent and ultimately everything they are NOT and NEVER will be.

Pile Two :

This pile feels like you have Ex's, Baby mama's or daddies who didn't make the cut. It looks like you have moved on into a new relationship that may be publicized, and these ex's see that you are treating this new person better than you ever treated them. You have ex's that are mad because you are giving everything to a new person that they themselves used to beg, plead and cry to receive from you. You have ex's who are mad they you never officially committed to them whether that be engagement, marriage or fully giving your heart to them- meanwhile this new person is getting all the above. I see you may be planning or going on vacation with this new person and the ex's are mad. Some of you may even have started a new family with this new person and the ex's are mad! They are mad because you never had children with them or you did, and now you have a new family and the focus is no longer on them. Their manipulative tactics are being exposed at this time and that's why they are mad as well. Your ex's are mad that you can afford designer or simply you have disposable income whereas, before you may have been struggling financially- but it's not like that anymore for you and they are mad. Basically, you are doing better without them and that is why they are mad. It hurts them real bad because it's also exposing that they were the problem and responsible for blocking your blessings. With this clarity in mind, they are mad there's no way in hell that you would ever spin the block and return to them. At this point, they are real sad because you see past the mad. You see they are real sad and going out real bad without you! For my ladies, if you did have a baby with this ex, they are mad you snapped back after the baby! I find it interesting they would be mad about that which is again another thing being exposed. They had children with you for the wrong reason, it was a trap and they are mad the trap baby didn't trap you. They are really mad someone else is eager to commit to you, baby and all. ( what a POS) I also see that they are mad you didn't have to f**% your way to the top meanwhile, they are a pass around. They are for the streets and you earned your lifestyle with integrity and hard work. Your ex's really wanted you to be struggling so bad, it's baffling. They are mad your work speaks for itself and any attempts they make to devalue you, fails, miserably. Looks like you have ex's mad that they couldn't ruin your life another day, month, or year more. You have met someone new at work and this explains further why they are mad you didn't f*&^% your way to the top. This new person at your job may hold a high position and authority however, you still worked hard and didn't use your relationship as a means to get ahead. The job energy feels like Virgo, could be dealing with a Virgo or they have those placements. This can even indicate someone you met at the gym, store, or someplace you frequent often. This new person is financially stable and in a position of authority and they want to provide for you, and if you have children, your children as well. This has your ex's mad. If you have no children, this new person wants them and you guessed it- this makes your ex, or their ex LIVID.

Pile Three:

You have a specific person here that is mad that you are the one the got away, first and foremost. I am showing that this person had you in a breadcrumbing situation where you were their convenient text buddy, cuddle buddy and f&^% buddy. I see they never made time for you unless it was on their time and for their selfish needs and desires. ( WOW!, the audacity) The fact they are the mad you are the one that got away confirms that you have successfully detached and cut them and this TRIFLIN situation away. They may be making attempts to get back into your energy to either continue their TRIFLIN and selfish behavior and or to RIGHT THEIR WRONGS, however, i do not see this as being successful. You are not making time for them to right their wrongs or to continue their diabolical behavior. it's a lose lose for them, and that's why they are mad. Now, if they have not made any visible attempts, they are mad because they are trying to plan how to come back and they see no way to do so. ( I AM PROUD OF YOU) It's clear to me and them that you have a strong protective shield around your energy and ultimately your life.

Now, you have OTHERS MAD because they cannot use you as a convivence. They are mad you learned a harsh lesson with the last person or history of persons and you are no longer boo boo the fool. You have people mad that you have high standards especially in comparison to before and what you allowed and tolerated. ( NO DISREPECT) the last situation was the straw that broke the camels back and now your healing. The pain you feel is being used a motivation and fuel to NEVER allow someone to play you again. I feel like Pile two may resonate with you. If so, it's like the moment you release breadcrumbs you are offered a feast. You are in a era of having your way, MIGOS vibes- go play that song. Everybody is mad that you are no longer making yourself small for others or accepting small s&^% in all aspects, ha- ladies if you know what I mean. Some of you were getting played by small d*%$ men, WOW . . . Fellas, some of you were getting played by stank p#%*^ women ( EWW) Everyone is mad you refuse to chase them, past , present and future. You have the same sex mad because they thought they were important until you showed up. They thought they were somebody until you showed up. it is, i think, symptomatic of the way larian has built this brand: bg3 was always marketed as being mature (read: sexual), and that was one of the big draws for players - myself included! especially as media pulls more towards extremes, with mainstream video games starting to get increasingly graphically sexual, graphically violent, and the vogue for 'grey morality' becomes the norm, those boundaries get pushed, and it becomes more and more of a selling point.

larian obviously focused on this, along with the How Do You Do, Fellow Kids brand, the increased accessibility of game devs on twitter, and adopted it heavily into their marketing strategy, and are now pretty reliant on the horny gamer crowd for a lot of their audience, and more importantly, they're doing this on purpose.

which is how you end up in situations like this.

characters (white men) the players want to fuck get centred: they get updates, they get more content, they get favoured. halsin's gone from a side character in EA to a half-fledged romance option, to a full romance option: he shows up in the promotional material, is larian's poster boy for the sex scenes, he gets more content with every update.

now gortash gets more heavily implied situationship lines with the dark urge, because players are horny for him. nevermind that some people aren't playing that way, or that he was originally set up to be a lower-level antagonist; nevermind that if the durge's storyline needed expansion, it should've been with orin and sarevok and bhaal, or that it muddies the writing for the rest of gortash's arc + characterisation: people want to fuck him, so it gets put in the game. it's not even to do with karlach, whose quest so desperately needs expansion! it's specifically catering to the people who want their character to have a Relationship with the slaver, because they're either not interested in or not able to focus on strengthening the weak spots in the narrative: they're just doing things that will net the 'my favourite dating sim' people lmfao.

meanwhile, literal main character wyll gets his quest demoted to a subquest, doesn't get bugfixes, doesn't get a single unique romance greeting after 6 patches and months of requests. he's not a Horny character, so he doesn't get the focus: he's not a player favourite, so he gets nothing. it's just... so unbelievably, indisputably racist, and it's incredibly grim and disappointing to watch it happen in real-time.

This moment tends to elicit negative reactions in a first read through, and I've got some opinions about why where Kabru is coming from here actually makes a lot of logical sense. So I thought I'd elaborate on that.

I think people hear this and go, "He thinks they must be hiding something because they gave money to someone? What a cynic." Or "he dislikes them because they did charity?? What's wrong with this guy!". And obviously, a lot, a lot is wrong with him. But I think this makes more sense than it seems at first glance! What people evaluating this judgement miss is why Kabru is paying attention to Laios and co to begin with.

Kabru knows of the Touden siblings because (he's a little bit of a stalker-) he is keeping an eye on all the relevant parties in events developing on the island, in order to be able to guide them to his preferred outcome. This includes adventurers because they are the ones actually exploring the dungeon! He's well aware that something as minor as internal tensions between party members could be key to the historical events that are developing. (He would love the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand.)

His desired outcome is that whatever the rewards are of breaking the dungeon's curse, whether that's kingship or the ancient elven secrets of dungeons, are claimed by:

A) a short lived person

B) Someone who will be a good, effective leader and/or use those secrets and the power they carry wisely, with foresight, and to establish a political bloc for short lived people.

The person he can best trust to do this is, of course, himself. But due to his PTSD regarding dungeons and monsters, he's not able to develop the necessary skills to conquer the dungeon. Once he realises this, he starts looking for someone else who he can support to that end.

But most of the adventurers don't have any intentions of conquering the dungeon, don't have the skills, or are unsuitable in other ways. In fact, it seems like some potentially suitable people are the Toudens. There are a lot of good rumours about them going around - they actually seem to have a very positive reputation! That's what Kabru means when he says "unmask".

So when Kabru is observing something like them giving money to an old comrade from their gold-peeling days, he doesn't consider it a problem because "they're giving money to this person who doesn't actually need it" or because they must have some dark secret if they act superficially nice. I think he actually understands this situation and what it implies about Laios (in particular) perfectly well.

Laios and Falin gave money to an old comrade who got injured and couldn't work. That person then healed up but kept taking their money. Then he used the money to start smuggling illicit goods to the island.

The key is that for Kabru, the problem here is the same as with the corpse retrievers - people using the dungeon's resources to fuel dangerous, selfish, or violent pursuits cause problems for the island, attract more criminals and people with motives other than breaking the curse, and increase the chances of the whole situation ending in tragedy.

Kabru is willing to work with the Shadow Lord of the island if it gets him to his goal - he isn't scrupulous - but the criminal element of the island increasing is something he sees as a major issue.

Also, when you're evaluating someone as a candidate for power, riches, secrets, potentially kingship - then being curious about how the money you give to people is going to be used is kind of a relevant trait!

Interpersonally, Kabru's actually very easygoing - I mean, Mickbell isn't exactly an upstanding guy, is he! But Kabru likes him and they get along well. These traits wouldn't be a problem at all in a friend, or a comrade, or someone Kabru was confident he could use. But he can't get a handle on Laios, and Laios is someone who has the potential to be a major player!

On Laios' end, this is the same as with the marriage seeker who joined their party. She kept asking for things and he gave them to her, because he tries to be nice to others. He even gives her money! It's the exact same thing.

That's fine, but it became a problem because he basically wasn't interested in her motives, didn't notice she was trying to manipulate him, and it also didn't occur to him that the other party members would notice or be affected. We can assume the situation with the gold peeler is the same. When Kabru says that "It's not that they're bad people, they just aren't interested in humans," he isn't wrong.

The extent to which this is true of Laios is linked to his autism imo, (because it isn't just disinterest - he genuinely isn't able to notice nonverbal cues that people are lying to him or have ulterior motives) but to a greater or lesser extent I think it's a very common trait. Most people aren't actually that interested in other people who aren't close to them. Kabru is the weird one here. It isn't an issue except as a leader - which is why we see an immediate comparison to the Island's Lord, because that's how Kabru is evaluating them.

And disinterest in/lack of ability with people to the extent Laios exhibits it, it does, actually, make him a worse leader... it's just that as we see in the story, people can help him out. The rest of the party tell him the marriage seeker is taking advantage of him so he tells her he can't give her special treatment anymore. They're pissed and it's a crisis point - he couldn't have recovered their trust without Marcille and Falin - but that's exactly the point. With Marcille and Falin, he was able to recover their trust.

And he has other good traits that make up for it, such as his intelligence, strategic knowledge, open-mindedness and sense of fairplay.

Kabru doesn't disqualify Laios as a candidate based on what he sees about him from afar, though - he still tries very hard to get close to him, obviously hoping that if he manages he can steer Laios to defeat the dungeon and make up for his lack of people-skills in the aftermath. (Which... he does eventually achieve that goal!) He completely fails until the events of the story, so... definitely I think "They just aren't interested in humans" could also partially be a stung reaction to Laios' complete disinterest in him.

Anyway, that's my read on what exactly Kabru's "issue" with Laios is. Obviously, once he does find out what Laios' true nature is like - about his love for monsters - he develops an entirely new set of fears about Laios' priorities. But since Laios kept that a secret until the start of the story, he has no idea of that yet.

Given all that, I think it's interesting that he says that he doesn't think that the Toudens are suitable to defeat the dungeon, and that he's hoping they'll turn out to be the thieves. As some of his few potential candidates, people who he thinks may play a big role in the island's future, you'd think he'd hope they would be good people!

I suppose it's better, in his eyes, because it means that he's involved in something "interesting". They haven't just had their stuff stolen by regular criminals (boring, puts them further away from his goal) - they've been caught up in the beginning stages of "a historic event". The desperate and dwindling group forgetting morals in their quest to retrieve their lost comrade probably appeals to his sense of melodrama. Because he also just... loves drama.

Despite it being "uglier than anything he was expecting", he still pursues Laios as the person he wants to conquer the dungeon pretty much as soon as it becomes clear that he won't be able to do it himself and they are out of time. That's because... well, to be fair, there aren't any other options. And he fits standard A: he's short-lived!

and Kabru still hopes he can fit standard B, too, and be persuaded to use the power he wins for good. No matter how many nightmares he has about Laios, or whether he thinks about killing him. He doubts him, but ultimately he puts his faith in him and seems happy after the manga's ending that he made the right decision.
