Thank you so much for replying to my other ask! I completely understand not wanting to revisit a fic you had wrote when you weren't doing the best, and I hope you're feeling better now! 🩷 I adore 'evermore' so much even though it's quite depressing aha 🥲 The way you wrote Harry's mental health and escapism was so good and Id love to hear some spoilers if you were up to it 😅

One thing I love about fanfic is the freedom of it all, and like you said "What is fanfic if not an ode to writing that felt unfinished?". Your interpretation of Harry as an abused child at his core in works like "damaged" always get to me. It always felt weird in the HP book series that Harry had such an awful childhood and was as well adjusted and happy in the future.

Another one of your works I was really interested in is 'perfect boys with their perfect lives', the Harry/Cedric aka a certain dark lord one. It really had me thinking about what could have happened in the graveyard if Harry hadn't escaped 🫣

i am, thanks! it was around covid, which was an awful time for everyone i'm sure, with weird life stuff piled on top of it.

i was going to answer all of the ones you mentioned, but evermore is actually one of few stories i have planned out in detail. this is why it has a planned chapter count (though that hasn't stopped me from going overboard before lol).

i guess i'll just give you the whole thing in case i never finish it kljsdgkljdgs it's pretty long, so under a cut it goes! but first some context for everyone else:

Summary:

there are probably some divergent points that occurred during the actual writing process, but this plan below (i'll admit i'm not quite brave enough to reread it all) is what the general storyline will be.

reality four - right where you left me

maybe harry's been harbouring fears of his potions being found? :thots: or his husband's made note of his changes in behaviour, accuses him of not spending time/being devoted

they get into an argument where harry gets a looooot of shit for stuff he doesn't deserve to get shit for, stuff that's not even true

harry yells back but gets hit, idk if by magic or not :thots: and he backs down, distraught. then once he's alone, he goes straight for the dream world

dream four - no body no crime

it'll be a much shorter version obviously, and the character roster won't be the same

i hadn't nailed down the specifics of the background and so i'm not sure how it'll look, exactly

harry is NOT married in this dream, he knows dream-husband but they are only friends

dream-husband is ginny's role in this particular iteration

but the climax of this scene is where harry is snooping around in the house, where he happens upon the dream-husband's diary

he's been looking for evidence to prove the murder

harry reads through the diary

and in the diary are tragic entries describing depressive thoughts, details of emotional (maybe even physical) abuse, etc.

this is a pivotal moment for harry, who up until this moment has been in denial about the failings of his real life marriage

reading this in the framing of it happening to someone else is enough for him to realize that it's wrong

what happens to him is not okay

but of course it's not that easy to just, shrug off years of marriage all at once; harry once again exits the dream, thus ending that particular dream universe

he's partly in denial but it's not as bad as before

he's been using the dreams as a coping mechanism up until this point

i've made it sound kind of frustrating but the dream worlds that harry goes to are meant to be very lush, romanticized

while we realize that harry's dream worlds are not ideal, he doesn't realize it right away

he thinks he's still doing something wrong

reality five - coney island

uh so next is probably another real life scene which shows tension between harry and his husband, only harry is no longer acting the way he did before aka accepting things without question

after the dream, harry starts to... notice things. he picks up on the slights, on the manipulative behaviours. he doesn't argue back for most of it, because he's still figuring it out and he's in shock, but he does start acting differently, which is noted by his husband

it escalates things further, a landslide of 'harry is no longer listening to me, is no longer under my control' type of deal where it results in more attempts to manipulate, which harry now sees is bad

voldemort grew addicted to power, made deals with politicians, gained a following

he looks back on past events and picks out the red flags, realizes that his marriage is not a marriage of equals. but just because harry knows these things, doesn't mean he knows what to do. he goes back to the dream world for comfort/answers

dream five - cowboy like me

this one is 'cowboy like me'

harry is there with his husband staying at a hotel, they happen across dream-husband, who is a con artist attempting to swindle an older woman

either harry is also a con artist in a similar vein, or he is mistaken for one - i'll probably decide once it's written out and i get a sense of the vibe

but he and dream-husband have some interesting conversations, flirting, etc

the theme of this dream i think will be further strengthening the similarities between harry and the dream-husband he's made up in his head

this dream ends with a bittersweet farewell

something along the lines of, despite their attraction for each other, they must part ways? :thots: or some other thing

but there will be a bit of a cheeky 'see you soon'

aka referencing the fact that it's a dream/dream world, that the dream-husband is a recurring character in harry's mental space

reality six - happiness

harry's down to two vials now, the bittersweet farewell of dream five has him realizing that time is running out in the metaphorical sense; we understand that soon he will need to make a choice

i might loop back to infidelity at this point, maybe in an attempt to bring harry to heel, his husband starts flaunting an affair? :thots: cause in the past, flirting with other people probably worked to make harry upset and easily manipulated

but y'know now harry is armed with his brand new knowledge of Marriage Should Not Be Like This and also he's got some shiny self-worth stored up, courtesy of dream-husband

dream six - ivy

in this dream world, harry is married to his current husband, but he is having an affair with the dream-husband; not in the sexual sense, but in the emotional sense. drawing on the dream five, harry is seeking comfort and solace from his bad marriage

this dream is meant to remove more of harry's doubts and encourage him to see that his current situation is bad

and i imagine we start to break through the fourth wall; dream-husband speaks directly to harry, referencing real life events that have occurred

he encourages harry to leave

harry is doubtful, obviously. this is all he's known and he's been gaslighted, manipulated, mistreated

he's terrified he will be found out and punished for it

but the dream-husband reassures him, promises him that things will be okay, etc.

he makes harry promise to take care of himself

and i'm thinking in true romantic sense, maybe they spend the night together? :thots:

reality seven - closure

we solidify that harry deserves better, that what has happened is not his fault, etc all the important, healthy things

we have harry reaching out to the people that have been slowly pushed out of his life (mostly by his husband). he’s reconnecting with them, being healthier, i think this section would end with harry going to ron and hermione and telling them the truth, telling them everything

harry is down to his last vial, so he's been saving it

like, he could obviously go and get more, they would give it to him for free, even, but you know it's kind of like

he shouldn't have to rely on that as a coping mechanism any more

dream seven - evermore

i'm thinking harry goes for one last dream, they sit together outside(?) or somewhere else that has significance for harry

they hold hands, harry talks about how much the support has meant to him, what he's learned about himself, what these dreams have taught him

sometimes things don't work out

he knows he needs to walk out and move on

i'll probably cry writing all this so you know it'll be good

the end - it’s time to go

then like i mentioned before, there will be a scene of harry signing divorce papers. his friends are with him, telling them they support him, and he feels... relief. he feels hope.

the story ends with harry attending a party, this time by his own decision. he's here to genuinely mingle with people, with his friends, and have a good time

and then he sees someone

much like the previous dream, it's someone who he once knew

they talk, they catch up, but this time it doesn't feel odd or uncomfortable

harry feels secure with himself, and we end on the hopeful note that this could go somewhere good

Do you have any recommendations for books were the hero and heroine get married at the beginning or at least in the first act?

Definitely! (Uh, I ended up having a lot.)

Obviously, in Devil in Winter Sebastian and Evie get married within the first few chapters. I'm sure you've read it, but juuust in case.

In Sherry Thomas's The Luckiest Lady in London, I believe they get married fairly quickly--in His At Night, they marry pretty quickly, too. The heroine in that book is trying to compromise the hero's brother into marrying her, but she accidentally does it to the hero first.

Speaking of, Accidentally Compromising the Duke (lmao) by Stacy Reid has a similar deal and early marriage, Wicked in His Arms has the hero and heroine marry early after he gets caught shortly after deflowering her in a closet, and When the Earl Met His Match has an early marriage, though the heroine is pregnant by another man (hero is in on the deal).

The Viscount and The Vixen by Lorraine Heath has the hero and heroine marry early after she answers an ad to marry his elderly, somewhat crazy father. The ad has a stipulation that basically says that if she doesn't get the marriage she was promised, she gets a huge payout. The hero is all "A-HA, IT SAYS YOU MUST MARRY A TITLED LORD OF OUR LINE, IT DOESN'T SPECIFY IT MUST BE MY DAD". And then he marries her instead tooootally not what his dad had in mind...

Scandal's Bride by Stephanie Laurens has the hero and heroine get married early in the book because she's probably pregnant. (CW: the hero is drugged by the heroine for their first encounter because she doesn't want him to remember so that he'll leave her pregnant and single. He doesn't care, tbh, but just in case.)

Shadowheart by Laura Kinsale has Allegreto and Elena get married pretty early. Heads up: first encounter is noncon, medieval marriage consummation deal. He basically forces her to marry him, but they end up having a looooot in common. Emotionally and sexually.

Fiona and the Enigmatic Earl by Grace Callaway has the hero and heroine marry early after he gives her an orgasm against a wall or something and they're like "wait a second... you're hot, I'm hot, we both need to marry, let's just do it". What they don't realize is that they're both like, running around London at night doing vigilante shit lmao.

The Recruit by Monica McCarty has a fairly early marriage. The heroine is a widowed single mother who Robert the Bruce wants to marry the hero. However, after an amazing encounter where they first lay eyes on each other while he's pile driving a random (and he gets off on the eye contact) they spend some time together with her knowing who he is and him thinking she's a servant. They sleep together, he makes an offhand comment on being with her while married to another woman (who he doesn't know... would be her) she gets pissed and turns down the marriage. Theeeen a few months later they run into each other... she's pregnant.... and he's like "NO CHILD OF MINE WILL BE A BASTARD" and forces her to marry him lmao.

Wed to the Wild God by Ruby Dixon is a fantasy romance that has the hero (a hedonistic god) marry the heroine (a practical human) early in order to keep her protected. Because of the hedonism thing, they have sex within the first couple chapters, but it takes a while for them to actually fall in love.

The Truth About Cads and Dukes by Elisa Braden has an early marriage (a lot of Rescued from Ruin books do, but this is one of my favorites). The hero is a cold duke, his wild younger brother compromises the heroine (not sexually or romantically) and the hero marries her because he's a standup guy. Also because he is WILDLY sexually attracted to her, something she misses at every possible moment until he can't stand it anymore. The Temptation of a Highlander has an early marriage too, I think, and that one was good.

Lush Money by Angelina M. Lopez is a contemporary with an early marriage, in which a lady billionaire asks the hero to marry her and get her pregnant in exchange for a financial bailout for his tiny country. It's GREAT.

Rules for Engaging the Earl by Jana MacGregor has the hero and heroine (childhood friends) marry early because it turns out her husband, who left her pregnant, was a bigamist and their marriage wasn't valid. The hero marries her to legitimize her baby (sort of).

The Duchess Deal by Tessa Dare has the hero and heroine marry early because his fiancee skipped out on him (he's super scarred) and the heroine marries him instead (she was the seamstress who made the wedding dress and shows up wearing it in order to get paid, and he's like "how convenient"). When a Scot Ties the Knot has the hero and heroine handfast early in the book, which is technically not a legal marriage YET but could be if they consummate and choose to stay married. Which she doesn't want to do. At first.

This Scot of Mine by Sophie Jordan has the hero and heroine marry early because she's pretending to be pregnant (by someone else) and the hero has a family curse which means he'll die after getting his wife pregnant and before his heir is born. He figures he'll marry the heroine, claim her baby as his heir, and go on his way. But she isn't pregnant. And they consummate the marriage HARD. Oops!

In Never Seduce a Scot, the hero and heroine marry early to forge an alliance; she's deaf, and he think she's unable to consent, so even though he's attracted to her he keeps his distance. Until she makes it clear she very much CAN consent.

Consort of Fire by Kit Rocha is a fantasy romance in which the heroine (a princess) marries the hero (a god/dragon shifter) early. However, she's bound to murder him, despite their immediate connection. She's also in love with her handmaiden, even though she's falling for her husband. And her husband is like "mmmmm idk why we can't ALL be together...?" FFM.

The Bride by Julie Garwood is a classic medieval romance, in which the (Scottish) hero and the (English) heroine marry super early, like first or second chapter, for political reasons. He won't fuck her until she wears his plaid!!!! There's this amazing moment where he basically hauls her to stand beside him in this window so his people can look at them and is all "MY WIFE" in Gaelic, thinking she doesn't understand it. And some guy is all "ok but what do we call her" and he goes "YOU CALL HER MINE" still in Gaelic. And she's all "OH" and asks after "soooo what were you saying" and he's like "um bullshit don't worry about it". AMAZING.

Untamed by Elizabeth Lowell is another one where they marry early, older medieval. Arranged political deal, but they're super attracted to each other--however, her people try to kill him on the wedding day, and even though he handles it like a boss he doesn't trust the heroine at all and decides to wait until she has her period to consummate the marriage to make sure she's not pregnant by another man. He wants heir bIG TIME. Honestly a great book.

I also will recommend, with a caveat, the third book in that trilogy, Enchanted. In that one, the heroine was supposed to marry another guy but uhhh book 2 things happen (it stands alone, but I would recommend book 2, Forbidden, which is not an early marriage book but is a book I adore) so the hero steps up to marry her and seal the alliance instead. However, the heroine is super traumatized because she was raped in the past. Which isn't a trope I looove and there are some old school aspects to the hero's initial reaction (to be clear: he does not shame or get angry at her for it, but he does think she's maybe saying that because she doesn't want to admit she had consensual sex before marriage, and he's like "I don't care, that's totally cool, I'll go with it") but I do find this book super romantic and gentle otherwise.

The Chief by Monica McCarty has the hero, big Scottish laird dude, get asked to marry the heroine for politics early in the book. He's like "no" because he's a widower with two sons and doesn't want wife complications. But the heroine's father makes her get into bed with the hero while he's sleeping and expected a Wench to be sent to him, and she assumes it'll be a whole "everyone runs in within minutes to catch us and we'll be forced to marry" deal. They do NOT run in within minutes, and everyone does run in, but the hero is literally inside her by the time they do so he has to do a stop drop and roll deal before being like "FINE. I'LL MARRY HER". This one also has this amazing thing where he's like "I want sex to be detached" but then when she lets him hit it doggy which is his favorite position, he realizes he's not feeling it because he can't make eye contact!!!!

The Winter King by C.L. Wilson is a fantasy romance wherein they marry early to seal a truce after the hero conquered her kingdom. She's supposed to get pregnant within a year, or else they'll LEAVE HER ON A GLACIER. Very literal enemies to lovers, super amazing, WYNTER I LOVE YOUR WORK!!! Also funny in that they're both dosed with something at the wedding ceremony and it cuts to him like, fuming down the hallway to find her all "I CAN'T BELIEVE HER DAD GAVE ME FANTASY VIAGRA I CAN'T HANDLE THIS". Fortunately, she was also given fantasy viagra so it works out.

Of course, my favorite Sarah MacLean, A Rogue By Any Other Name, has an early marriage after Bourne forces Penelope's hand to make her marry him so that he can get the property that's a part of her dowry and used to belong to him before Tragic Backstory Ensued. Very funny in that he does this by going down on her and then screaming at her dad through a window the next say (when the dad arrives to like, shoot him) "WELL WHAT'RE YA GONNA DO ABOUT IT DUDE I FUCKED YOUR DAUGHTER". I love him.

Mafia Virgin by Mila Finelli is a mafia romance (obvi) in which the hero and heroine are forced to marry for mafia alliance reasons super early in the book. Though they don't consummate immediately, there is another stipulation--he must get her pregnant within six months. Major breeding kink ensues, naturally.

When A Rogue Meets His Match by Elizabeth Hoyt has the hero and heroine marry early because basically, the hero is the henchman of this evil guy who I think is her guardian? Our heroine HATES the hero. But the hero is all "I'm done with evil deeds" and then the guardian is like "cool but if you do this last one you can marry my hot ward/niece? who I know you've wanted for forever". And the hero is like ".... yes". Duke of Desire also has an early marriage, of the "to protect you" variety--but TW, the hero was sexually abused as a child and a lot of the book is about his recovery.

SO CUTES.... MY THOUGHTS........

ive said before theyre like rivals 2 lovers in a way because before they get to know each other all of their interactions involve bumping into each other trying to get the same last piece of anime merch somewhere. eventually yuu is curious about choro bc isnt it kind of sus that hes always popping up wherever she does...! but he doesnt seem like a bad guy so she takes a chance and asks him to hang out. really this is rivals to friends to lovers....

they get along surprisingly well!! so one thing leads to another and they end up spending a looooot of time together, the whole time insisting they're totally just friends (osomatsu is especially insufferable about teasing them it makes him sick to see them all over each other but neither wants to make the first move)

after theyve hung out for a while and gotten closer maybe theres a period where shes super busy with work and cant hang out at ALL... just going in to the manga cafe and going home after cos theyre short staffed, dealing w customers all day and cleaning up after them... its making her insane doing clopening shifts over and over. her mind keeps wandering thinking stuff like "wow i am about to EXPLODE i wish i was hanging out at chibitas or at the arcade with c... c... ch...."

she hits a hard stop then and there. once that thought starts trying to finish itself she already knows shes cooked. the realization that shed rather be spending all her free time with choro is a lil terrifying to her bc she hadnt even realized she liked him that much...! this is so world shattering she would look stupid as hell behind the counter head in her hands with new customers walking in asking if shes ok LOL. she thinks for hours about this afterwards and cant sleep once she gets home.

the next day and from then out until she accidentally drunkenly confesses to him she tries so so so hard to keep up appearances but even choro can catch on to something being... off... about the way shes acting. he doesnt wanna get his hopes up bc hed honestly just be happy as her friend. but the way she steals glances at him when she thinks hes not looking..... the way she scoots the closest to him when everyone is eating at chibitas.... the way she puts up with his antics but never really truly looks down on him for being an otaku neet.... he cant help but hope she likes him back

BONUS: choro is the only one who knows Where she works and what exactly it entails (she tells everyone else she just works at a regular bookstore not a manga cafe, she doesnt want most ppl knowing shes an otaku) so it would be very cute and thoughtful if he showed up to her next shift to cheer her up. he goes up to the counter and coughs nervously to get yuu's attention. she looks up to see this guy she KNOWS is unemployed asking nervously to rent a half hour booth for what's probably his last 350 yen. he slides her favorite candy across the counter with his change. they are both exploding inside

18. Do you enjoy research? Which fic of yours required the most research?

Huh, that's interesting. I was going to say no I don't enjoy it--because I can be really lazy about it--but in some contexts I do? Like I'll go off on a tangent while researching injuries for hurt/comfort fics and that can be fun. But sometimes research is also frustrating because I can't find exactly what I want. Like when I was researching for Adrien's injury in Say Something I wasn't finding enough specific things for like...how the injury would affect his movement and how quickly he'd heal and all that. I knew I wanted the injury not to affect any of his internal organs because I needed him not to be trapped in the hospital for too long, but I wanted it to be deep enough so that he felt it. And at a certain point I had to give up on "how realistic is this?" because...I wasn't ever going to find the exact answers and most people aren't going to question it anyways. And for the movement bit I actually ended up researching C-sections, because while that incision is definitely longer and deeper than his injury, at least that was an abdominal incision and I knew there would be actual resources for healing from that, so...creativity I guess? 😂 But yeah. Most research probably goes to that fic because I've researched other things for it too and...just spent a looooot of time thinking about it in general haha. I tend to either do no research for a fic or spend three hours looking up a specific detail and there's pretty much no in-between.

25. What’s your favorite part of the writing process (worldbuilding, brainstorming/outlining, writing, editing, etc)?

It soooort of depends on the fic I think. But I definitely LOVE the initial idea/brainstorming part. Or any of those moments where something just clicks in the outlining process, because that's just so satisfying!! And then I also love editing. But I've come to realize it's a particular kind of editing I love (and incidentally this is why I love Say Something so much). Because I need to be at that part where the draft is cohesive but still needs a sufficient amount of rewriting. And then to me it's like trying to fit the puzzle pieces together in the most effective way I can. And I just love that because sometimes I'll spend an hour rewriting the same paragraph or two, but the second it works everything else just starts coming together too and it's SOOOO SATISFYING.

Luffy x Fem! Reader , Finding a Puppy Drabble

You couldn’t hold back the frown that stuck itself on your face. Being denied by Nami so many times meant serious business, you couldn’t even bribe her..!

“We can’t have a puppy, Y/n, Luffy! We already have Chopper.. a puppy is too much.” You could recall her exact words that made a sigh exit your body, one that was full of disappointment. You and Luffy had been given the task of finding the puppy a new home before sunset, which would be when you all left the sanctuary of the island the Merry was currently docked at.

“Y/n, do you think they want the puppy?” Luffy cheered excitedly as he pointed at a couple. You watched as they looked at the two of you before their eyes darted away, the pair speed walking away.

Being wanted pirates made this task so hard.. People just kept looking at you two as if you were crazy. Was it that odd to see two pirates trying to find a puppy a home? You had no clue. You truly saw nothing wrong with such a kind act.

“Not from us, they don’t.” Your frown deepened as the clock creeped closer to the departure time. You couldn’t just leave this puppy to be alone, to possibly perish. It deserved a home, regardless of the fact it was being assisted by pirates.

“Oi, don’t be so sad, Y/n!” Luffy slapped a hand onto your back before letting it stay in place, resting upon your back. “We’ll find him a home... we’ll get him the best home ever!” The young man snickered with joy, grinning at you.

You couldn’t help but smile, the corners of your lips tugging upwards as you nodded. “Mhm, we will.” You giggled at the sight of Luffy’s oversized smile. He was so kind hearted, so warm... You loved that about him.

It was the same rinse and repeat as you two wandered the town, trying your very best to find somebody to take in the poor little animal. But still, no one did. You couldn’t help but feel a tinge if guilt spark up within your heart. If only the Marines had found this puppy, they would’ve found people willing to accept it much faster then pirates could.

You and Luffy took a break from walking to sit along the marble fountain that was present in the middle of the small town. Wel, you needed a break. Luffy could run around for hours easy, he was a pure ball of energy, or more so chaos. You lent against Luffy, the puppy curled up in the safety of your lap.

It had been an hour or so by now, and time was not getting any slower. Not at all. Sure, you two could just leave it loose but that wasn’t safe at all, and you knew that.

You jumped at the sudden barking that came from the tiny dog. What was upsetting it to such an extent? You looked around only to be met face to face by a young girl. Was she interested?

“Onee-san,” The little girl said before laying her head on your lap to get closer to the baby dog. You blushed nervously as Luffy laughed loudly. This kid... how did she have no shame doing such a thing?

“Um- yes..?” You said, looking down at the child that cradled it’s head in your lap. You didn’t know what you were supposed to do, you were never too good with kids.

“Is this puppy yours?” She asked softly, curiosity filling her vocals to the brim. In response, you merely shook your head. You noticed the way the girls eyes widened in excitement.

You smiled lightly. Had you and Luffy finally found someone to help the dog?

“Do you think your parents would mind if you came home with it?” You asked the girl.

“Not at all..! Papa would love a dog!” With that line, you couldn’t be so sure if the child’s father would approve. But regardless, you would hand the puppy to her, not like you had much time to find another willing person.

You picked up the dog carefully, being as delicate as possible, almost like the puppy was made of porcelain. “There you go,” You hummed with a smile as the child stood before you. “Take good care of him for us, okay?”

“And feed him lots of meat!” Luffy chimed in, “he loves it!” You couldn’t help but laugh softly at his comments. You smiled warmly at the young girl as she giggled at Luffy as well. How cute.

“I will, mister and misses straw hat!” The girl beamed innocently, having zero disregard for the red that overpowered your face, making you burn up with pure embarrassment.

Did she really believe the two of you were married? Did- did every citizen perceive you and Luffy as a married couple? Or just even a normal couple?

You shuddered at the thought of what that love struck empress would do to you if she had just heard that... but you couldn’t be bothered right now. No, not that easily.

“Bye! Feed him looooots, kid!” Luffy yelled at the girl as she walked away, holding the puppy in her arms. “And i mean it! He needs lots of meat!”

You looked at Luffy and sighed, smiling to yourself. He really didn’t register what she had called you two, did he?

You raised to your feet, brushing off the skirt you wore, feeling the evening breeze flush over your exposed legs.

“Luffy, we should return to the sunny. Nami is probably getting sick of waiting,” You said, looking down at him as the sky turned pastel behind you, shifting shades of orange and purples.

“Right! Let’s go, miss Straw Hat!” Luffy got up, linking arms with you.

“Huh?” Your eyes widened as he said that, your face going beet red once more, almost as red as Luffy’s voice.

Yusuke Urameshi||SFW Alphabet

A/N: Writing for one of my favorite protagonists of all time? Don’t mind if I do. Slightest hint of spoilers for the end of the series and s3 but they’re really minor and and mostly non-specific.

Word Count: 1929

A: Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Yusuke is affectionate in a kinda subtle way, like he’ll put his hand in your pocket (in your back pocket if you let him) or vice versa, he just likes touching you and being close to you. The clingiest he’ll get is wrapping his arm around your shoulder or waist and pulling you closer so he can kiss you. Aside from that, Yusuke’s go to with affection is teasing, like if he isn’t messing with you or yall aren’t bickering, he’s probably really upset.

B: Best Friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

As a best friend, Yusuke is super rowdy. He’s always getting into some form of trouble or antics, and while this does calm down after the demon world tournament, he’s still always got that mischievous air about him. Your friendship probably started with you and Yusuke bumming around the same spots, namely the arcade, and you showing him how to beat one of the games.

C: Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Yusuke’s cuddles are very lax, he tends to just throw an arm around your waist and call it a day. He prefers being the big spoon but he doesn’t really like spooning all that much to begin with.

D: Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

Yusuke is actually pretty good at cooking and cleaning. Atsuko left him home alone a lot with nothing more than a will and a way (maybe a microwave meal when he was younger). So while Yusuke isn’t the best cook, he won’t go hungry, and he’s more than content to empty the cabinet before going back to the store. As for cleaning, he’s pretty good at that once he has a direction to go in. He doesn’t always know what all needs to be taken care of but give him something to do and he’ll do it.

E: Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

Yusuke definitely breaks up with you in person. No matters the conditions of your break up, you mean a lot to him; even in breaking up, he feels it’s best that he tell you face to face.

F: Fiance(e) (How would they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

Yusuke is a committed person who’s very casual about marriage. He’s not pushy when it comes to getting married, he already knows he wants to be with you as long as possible. It’s all really up to what you’d want, maybe he’d get married for the sake of being able to say he’s married but otherwise, he doesn’t feel one way or the other.

G: Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Yusuke isn’t really gentle, at least that’s the way he wants to come off, but he really has a heart of gold. Yusuke is gentle with you in a way that he is with no one else. He speaks to you in such a gentle tone of voice, one that sets all your nerves at ease. The way he holds isn’t gentle, but firm, like he’s giving you the promise of safety and security without even using words.

H: Hugs( Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?

Yusuke doesn’t hug all that often. When he does hug you, it’s usually out of excitement, like he’s so overjoyed that he can’t help hugging you.

I: I love you (How fast do they say the L-word)

Yusuke just says it one day randomly and late as all hell. Like you and him could be together for a year before he just randomly goes “you know I love you, right?”

J: Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous)

You can’t take jealous Yusuke anywhere. He will act a damn fool and try and puff his chest out to try and intimidate the person he’s jealous of. The worst part is if Puu’s there, he’ll be copying Yusuke but trying to get your attention onto him instead. Together, the both of them are menaces.

K: Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Yusuke’s kisses are like a burst of sun after being inside all day, invigorating, exciting, and warm. The both of you have smiled into your fair share of kisses and often times Yusuke’s kisses leave you giddy and walking on air.

L: Little ones (How are they around children)

Yusuke is actually surprisingly good with kids. He knows how to look out for them since he’s used to taking care of others, plus his whole tough guy with a heart of gold shtick really endears him to little kids.

M: Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Mornings with Yusuke kind of depend; if he wants to open his ramen cart early, and you’re awake, it’s mostly the two of you getting ready and prepping food for the ramen cart. If he wants to open a little later, Yusuke buries his head into your neck, leaving lazy kisses along your neck and jaw while the both of you just hold each other sleepily.

N: Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Yusuke usually cooks dinner for the both of you, he makes a whole show of it too. He says he does it selflessly but he always wears his kiss the cook apron “coincidentally” whenever he makes dinner. Afterwards, when the both of you head to bed, you’ll both spend the night giving each other slow kisses until the both of you fall asleep.

O: Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

Admittedly, it does take Yusuke some time to truly open up to you. All his life pretty much, he’s been told he was useless and that he’d never achieve anything beyond being a delinquent monster, so it takes him some time to be vulnerable with you due to fear of rejection. He’s especially slow to reveal information about his true heritage. But once Yusuke trusts you enough to reveal his insecurities, he’s in love with you.

P: Patience (How easily angered are they?)

Yusuke, while having absolutely zero patience with anyone, is very patient with you. Sure you go back and forth with him but even then, he never raises his voice.

Q: Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

Yusuke comes off as not caring or remembering details about you, but if anyone knows you, it’s Yusuke. He knows you better than you know yourself, and it’s mainly because of his attention to minor details, ones that you might not even notice about yourself.

R: Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

His favorite part in your relationship was when you went to the beach with the gang and you and him teamed up to prank Kuwabara. It was honestly the most fun he’d had in a while up to that point and the delight in your expression from being so devious made his heart skip a metaphorical beat or two.

S: Security (How protective are they? How would they like to be protected?)

Yusuke’s super protective of you, the boy’s got a lot of enemies. While he doesn’t really think any of his demon ones would step out of line, he’s got plenty of human ones who’d be willing to mess with you to get to him. Not to mention you could just plain get robbed or attacked in general, Yusuke trusts you but he definitely shields you from any danger. As observant as he strangely is though, he is still a bit dumb when it comes to the fact that you’re looking out for him just as much as he’s looking out for you

T: Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

Yusuke puts a decent amount of effort into your dates, it wasn’t always this way. Initially, Yusuke and you would just have dates that consisted of going to malls/arcades/bowling/etc. and it was all good, neither of you had a problem with it. However for the first birthday of yours that you’d both be spending together, he was just planning for the both of you to go to a park, something small, when Kuwabara and Keiko found out, they gave him an earful. Now, he still does “simple” dates, but he always tries to do something fun or unexpected for your anniversaries or special events

U: Ugly (What are some bad habits of theirs? (I’m gonna add arguments here because they aren’t on the prompt list I found))

Yusuke doesn’t have bad habits as he has gross habits. Like this man will probably burp in your face at least once (on accident) and it’s kinda just up to you to deal with that. As for fights, post-end of the series, you don’t really argue about much, you and Yusuke just bicker, but hey it works for you. During the series though, your heavy fights consist of you getting upset at the way Yusuke is always so ready to sacrifice his life (he does this a looooot)

V: Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

Not to be fooled, Yusuke is extremely concerned with his looks. No one who purposefully slicks their hair back with gel almost everyday from the age of 14 isn’t. He tries not to take too long, but if he can’t get the coif right, you’re going to be waiting for a long time.

W: Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

It isn’t so much as he feels incomplete without you, he just doesn’t feel worthy of being with you. He spends as much time as you’ll allow proving you didn’t waste your time on him (despite the fact that he literally doesn’t need to do that)

X: (E)xes (Any previous relationship experience. How does that factor into your current relationship?)

The closest he has to prior relationship experience is Keiko. The whole thig with Keiko was initially something of a hurdle due to the fact that they were kind of each other’s first love and they’re still friends, however, you got through it together and now Keiko is a source of advice for you, along with Kurama and Genkai.

Y: Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner)

In general, he doesn’t really like underhanded people. He sees the validity of the strategy, in the sense of outwitting an opponent larger or more powerful than you, but even then the thought of losing to someone or defeating someone in an underhanded way is disgusting to him (see the entirety of dark tournament arc to see why he hates underhandedness)

Z: Zzz (What is a sleep habit of theirs?)

Yusuke snores. Not all the time, but when he’s really tired, the man sounds like an old car engine. He is LOUD and if you aren’t a heavy sleeper or already asleep, good luck getting any sleep because just when you lay your head down to relax, he snores loud enough to shake the whole of your apartment complex.

Oooh, the actress playing Ilia is good! That emotion behind the eyes! Nice!! Seeing really interesting cinematic parallels between Decker trying to get Ilia back and Jim trying to get Spock back. They’re both disconnected from their purpose and their emotions and trying to find their way back with the help of their romantic counterparts.

@danishmiilk: i can’t really explain it, but i just picture late nights walking through city streets in a strangers to lovers au with doyoung by your side. xing-yi has a lot of love to give to others and so much to offer the writing community, and also she’s somewhat of a social butterfly, at least i think so! it makes me so happy seeing her interact with her moots and she always looks out for others! i also imagine that she has a cute bunny smile but also maybe not HAHA anyway i just love xing-yi a lot. here’s the fic: doyoung, the one who always seems to know everything, is forced to ask for directions in a foreign city. shamefully standing on the sidewalk, he stops you mid-step with a small hand gesture, because even though he doesn’t know you at all, you look like you probably won’t walk away or dismiss his questions with a shrug. being as friendly and willing to help as you are, you oblige. with an embarrassed scratch to the back of his neck, he admits that he might forget the sequence of lefts and rights you had given him, but you’re unfazed and simply offer to walk him there yourself, since it isn’t terribly far anyway. doyoung, lightly flustered since he’s not quite sure how to thank you for your trouble and feeling bad for taking the time out of your day, fumbles with asking for your number. he’s cute, you think, and before you part you insist on showing him around the city some more before he leaves, glancing at the sheepish but smitten man over your shoulder with a smile as you turn to walk back home, leaving him eager to see you again.

@daybreakx: my first thought was a hogwarts au with kun! ale’s talent in writing is a beautiful hidden gem on this site, and she truly deserves so much more recognition for it. i’m so grateful for how kind she is and i want the best for her and her work always! also, the love letter network that she created to help more writers receive love, feedback, and appreciation from readers is such a generous and selfless thing to do, it shows that she has such a caring heart! all of these qualities make me think of kun, and i chose a hogwarts au because i think she just writes those especially well and hers are some of my favorites! so for the fic: the fates are definitely not on your side today, because all the friends you made on the train ride to the castle have been sorted into different houses than you, not to mention you have almost no classes with any of them. at the same time, you seem to have every class with this one boy, kun. he’s in hufflepuff, the same house as you, and because you’re always paired up as seatmates, you find yourself warming up to him throughout the year. conversations become easier during projects, you start to have study sessions in the common room when exams come around, and as first-year students, you both love experiencing all the new and exciting things that the school and the magical world has to offer together. now, you couldn’t be happier that you were sorted into hufflepuff, because otherwise you might not have become friends (and maybe more..) with him!

@fairvtale: a soulmate au with jisung! i mean, keia is just the peak of cuteness, love, positivity, and everything sweet and nice!! how could i not ship her with the adorable park jisung himself😭she’s so full of compassion for everyone she meets and is so loved and appreciated for not only her great personality but also her talents! now, in this soulmate universe, you and your soulmate share the same preferences! so when you hear someone standing in line ahead of you at the ice cream shop order your favorite flavor, your heart skips a beat. of course, it’s not the first time it’s happened, but something feels different today. when you see who the voice belongs to, you just know that the tall but also shy boy is meant for you, and being brave, you approach the small two-person table he sits down at, making small talk until you both realize that you have a little too much in common for it to be a coincidence... :D <3

@ferie-anon: i’m picturing a bookstore au with shopkeeper!taeil, you just give off really insightful but also curious vibes!! both you and taeil make me think of wisdom(especially with your astrology knowledge! it amazes me so much omg), and also, you both have hearts of gold🥺💝fic: a new book shop opens up in your town, and eager to find a new story to dive into, you enter one day to find taeil behind the counter with a smile on his face that’s so bright you don’t even notice his smaller but adorable stature. he guides you, his first customer, through the rows of books to find one that interests you. since the store has multiple copies, he finds himself reading the same ones that you buy not only to enjoy them for himself, but also because it allows him to discuss them with you when you come in the next time, eager to hear each other’s thoughts and knowledge. your equal love for learning and discovery makes you a perfect match!

@flirtyhyuck: kitty is a literal ray of sunshine into my life, so who else would i ship him with than haechan? (i know i once said jaemin but shh) he is so encouraging, always makes me smile and my heart burst, i’m really thankful for all the times he checks in on me and i just feel very loved talking to him. he deserves all the love in the world, really and truly. for the au, maybe a strangers to lovers with barista!haechan! your favorite cafe has a new worker that’s attracting all the attention lately. haechan makes the funniest jokes and comments at the register, and everyone asks for him to ring them up just so they can laugh at his sarcasm. but he’s also so attentive to each and every customer, making sure the order is nothing short of perfect and exactly what they wanted. you always sit at one of the bar-style seats as you enjoy your favorite drink, legs dangling from the elevated chair as you watch him bustle about behind the cashier station and among the machines & supplies. one day it’s closing time, he’s cleaning up for the night but he lets you stay a few more minutes, something he wouldn’t do for anyone else. leaning over the marble countertop that your cup rests on, he swipes a fingertip through the whipped cream on top of your drink and lightly taps your nose with it, making you giggle endearingly at the ticklish sensation and giving him the courage to ask you out. with a smile, you agree. ‘sure, but let’s go somewhere other than a coffee shop, please.’

@fruityutas: emily (pt 1 HAHA) seriously cracks me up SO MUCH, not to mention she has one the best laughs i’ve heard and it’s super lovable haha. i don’t know what else to call it but i’d give her a wedding date(?) au with hendery! even when i didn’t know her very well and we had just recently met she was super friendly and inviting. for some reason i feel like hendery would also play the sims lol, anyway! onto the fic: when given the opportunity to bring a ‘plus one’ to a friend’s special day, your other friend hendery swoops in with an arm around your shoulder as you reread the invitation out loud, wondering who to ask. not so subtly, he offers to accompany you, and not wanting to be the only one without a guest, you agree to his proposal (no pun intended). dressed in your best formalwear and with stiffly linked arms, you navigate through the ceremony, only loosening up a bit at the reception. hendery is determined to make you smile with his exaggerated dancing, twirling you and making you more than glad you brought him along. you do get a few comments from other guests on what a ‘cute couple’ you are, leading you both to exchange glances before bursting into laughter. it starts to become less and less implausible, though. you catch hendery’s eye right after you find the bride’s flower bouquet in your grasp, suddenly realizing there could be more between you than you realized...

@jenojam: i was totally not influenced by your preschool series at all haha, but a preschool au with teacher!kun comes to mind! vina is always there for me, she’s so caring and attentive to everything i tell her!! i get mom friend vibes i guess, she’s just so sweet and i feel super loved and cared for whenever we interact, i’m really grateful for her endless support🥺for the fic, kun is a coworker of yours at the preschool you teach at. you both have such a strong passion for teaching and it helps you bond, leading to many days spent side-by-side, fondly watching your students play with their friends at recess or do activities and play games in class. even the small children in your class can see how much wider you smile when you’re in the same room. with the sweetest and most innocent of intentions, shenanigans ensue of your well-meaning but slightly mischievous students trying to get kun to confess to you, whether it be by writing a message in sidewalk chalk or making a bracelet out of craft beads for him to give you.

@jisungsmochi: hm, i’m thinking...a high school/college au with theatre kid!xiaojun🥺i ship nat with xiaojun because she’s just the sweetest, she has a hidden chaotic side (imo lol) and just a great sense of humor as well! she’s so fun to talk to and you can’t help but love her🥺picture this: you’re both in english class together, and one day there’s a mix-up. he accidentally grabs your essay and you end up with his script for the school musical. you have no choice but to go to one of his rehearsals to swap them back, but as you’re standing in the doorway, you’re captivated by his performance! little do you know, he’s absolutely in awe of your writing, even in a simple literature paper. your admiration for each other’s talents leads to you sitting in the back of the theater doing your homework every day after school, listening to his voice ring out across the large room, and he gets a confidence boost knowing you’re there watching him act, dance, and sing. he always winks at you from onstage and you’re beyond starstruck every time, your english paper quickly becoming forgotten as soon as he meets your eyes with a charming smile.

@lebrookestore: well, a royal au with prince!/childhood friend!taeyong comes to mind. brooke is a lot like taeyong because she’s so considerate and generous but also can be very professional and calm when she needs to be! (i think i told you already but you have this ~duality~ in a way, like ty haha.) so..you both grow up in the castle, scampering away from the staff in the large hallways and just enjoying the excitement of life. one day when you’re a bit older, you come across a stranger in the forest as you’re exploring. they turn out to be from the next kingdom over, but something about them is familiar: you’re sure you’ve seen a ‘wanted’ poster with their face plastered on it. you manage to warn taeyong in his ear before you hear the stranger’s footsteps speed up, and you both start sprinting as fast as possible. quickly working together since you know each other so well, you devise a plan to get them caught in a tangle of vines you remember seeing on your way into the forest, so you can bring back reinforcements to arrest the dangerous criminal. it works, but instead of turning to give taeyong a high five in celebration, he’s already in front of you and thanking you for your quick thinking with a hug, suddenly realizing that how much he loves you after seeing your brave and clever side emerge, just two of the many traits that made you win his heart.

@navyhyuck: vee’s name has basically become synonymous with happiness at this point, hearing from her in my inbox/messages or seeing a post/work of hers on my dash is so comforting and makes me smile more than she knows. since she’s the epitome of sweetness, i’ll say a bakery au with jaemin! i really appreciate knowing someone like her, and the encouragement she gives me is so heartwarming🥺the way she sends asks in the mornings makes me feel so ridiculously loved and at ease, her presence in itself is a gift to this site. tumblr really doesn’t deserve her!! i’m so happy that we’ve grown close and i don’t know what i would do without her and her kindness in my life. fic: you sign up for a baking class at a quaint, local pastry shop to learn how to make desserts and treats, since baking was a hobby you had enjoyed as a child with your family and now you hoped to learn how to do it on your own. little did you know that your instructor would be even more saccharine than the sugary treats you were making. his flirtatious nature leads to many mishaps in the kitchen as you get distracted while trying to follow along with the simple directions, instead making a mess of the icing and sprinkles and nearly confusing the measurements of ingredients. he finds it adorable, though, and towards the end of the session he sneaks a bite of one of the french macarons you put together, a bright smile lighting up his features as he compliments you on it. he teases you by reminding you to pay more attention next time, and with a comeback so quick that even you’re surprised, you take him up on that offer, implying that you’d be back for another class soon. “good. we’re making crème brûlée next week,” he informs with a wink as you both part ways. boy, was he sweeter than sugar.

@orange-nimon-cross: yunha deserves someone who knows the true her and has always been by her side, so i’d say a neighbor/boy next door au with winwin/sicheng. her personality is unique and complex like sicheng’s, and like him i also admire her for lots of reasons, such as her honesty and the pride she takes in writing as well as her passion for it in general. she’s very sweet, so supportive whenever i need it, and deserves so much more recognition for her beautiful work!!💕fic: your neighborhood holds a classic and oh-so-cliche summer block party every year, the smell of smoke and sounds of laughter moving through the air and into your open window. when a bad day gets you down and you hesitate to join in the festivities, sicheng is the only one who can get through to you, not forcing you to talk about anything and just sitting beside you on your bed in silence, which seems to be the most comforting thing anyone can do at the moment. when you tell him you’re ready(which he asks you to confirm many times, because that’s just how much he cares about you and wants you to be fully comfortable and okay), he takes your hand and leads you outside and onto the burning asphalt of the street with other friends and families, the blissful feeling of summer putting you at ease and the gentle evening breeze carrying away your cares with it. and like a springtime flower, although one season late, your relationship begins to blossom into one full of even more love and consideration for each other than it was before.

@radiorenjun: a doctor au with renjun! angie is slightly (okay, very) chaotic but also very lovable!! i don’t know if she’s an aries but she gives off serious aries energy. she’s confident and optimistic and really approachable! i’m so happy she reached out to me one day and we became friends from there🥺in the fic, renjun is a resident at your hospital studying under you and learning the ropes of being a doctor. when you first met each other, you actually mistook him for a coworker with how professional he seemed, but the confusion made a small, adorable blush rise to his cheeks. shy and timid at first, he takes notes and helps you do your job without complaint. when you offer part of your routine to him, he gratefully accepts and does the task perfectly, growing more comfortable in his position and relationship with you as he receives more opportunities to show his skill. sharing stories and experiences from medical school on your lunch breaks and smiling when you finish each other’s sentences about patients and their prescribed care, you realize that you’ve fallen for the soon-to-be doctor, and that no stethoscope could possibly measure the beating of your heart around him.

@rouiyan: so you know how you said you were excited for my wip that’s a strangers to lovers au with animal shelter worker!jeno? that’s what this is(loosely anyway)!!🥺ree reminds me of jeno in the fact that she’s such a sweetheart in every interaction with anyone, it feels like you’ve been her friend for ages! and then you look at her writing that’s just so damn good and sophisticated and i’m always so amazed with everything she puts out, just like how jeno’s talents amaze me as well! now for the fic: your beloved dog runs off in the park, but luckily a boy walking nearby lunges for the leash as it drags behind the animal. you thank him repeatedly, and he explains that the little puppy might have tried to leave your grasp only because she wants to make a new friend. the park is full of other dogs, after all. he mentions that he works at the shelter nearby and suggests that maybe you should adopt a second one to keep her company. not seeing any reason why you shouldn’t, you meet him the next day and spend time together picking out a new puppy. many more days are spent giving the fluffy little animals lots of pets and scratches behind the ears, and playing with them. you’re not sure what’s cuter: the dogs, or jeno’s eye smile.

@ru-lin: (the fic was kinda inspired by what you told me about your job in our messages the other day hehe) i’d say a christmas au with mark! ruth is so considerate and a pleasure to talk to, we actually have a lot in common! she’s very warm and caring and always looking out for others. i can tell she really values her friends and they’re so lucky to have her, she’s just so sweet all around! talking to her makes my day a lot brighter whenever we interact🥺fic: during the holidays you always work at a christmas market, helping customers pick out pretty much anything they could ever want that’s associated with the chilly month and all its festivities. when a shy boy that’s adorably awkward and clumsy stumbles into the shopping area, you bite back a small laugh at his endearing hesitation to ask for assistance. speaking up first, you ask if there’s anything he needs and he explains that he’s looking for the perfect tree. with a knowing smile, you lead him down the rows of tall pines and firs and any kind of christmas tree you could possibly imagine. when his eyes land on one that he likes, his eyes light up with excitement, and you help him load it into his car. as mark is halfway home he curses, realizing he forgot to pick up a wreath as well. he knows it’ll earn him a playful scolding from his group of friends, but if it means another chance to return to the market and see you, it’s worth it.

@rvse-hvvck: i feel like i ship so many people with jaemin but it’s just because they’re so especially full of kindness and love for others, and ana is no exception! i’d give her a matchmaker au with jaemin! ana is so incredibly selfless and her heart is so compassionate, it’s crazy. i really look up to her in a lot of ways! the first impression she made on me was already a great one because i saw so many writers receiving her beautiful love letters, and from that moment alone i could already tell how much she strives to be kind and generous in everything she says and does. i hope she knows how much everyone truly adores her and is grateful for her, because she really makes the world a better and brighter place. (if you’ve seen the movie clueless i guess this fic is sorta similar!) so, you’re the resident expert on relationships among your school community, always trying to pair up people with similar interests or that have a lot of chemistry together. it brings you joy because you love seeing your friends laughing and smiling with their partners, but you feel a twinge of sadness at the same time. when jaemin, the boy you’ve liked for a while, comes to you for advice, you push down your feelings for him and send him on dates with anyone you can think of. the whole time though, he’s only had his eyes on you. he has always admired your altruism and your dedication to making others happy. it hurts him to see that you’re not even giving yourself a chance, so with a simple but heartfelt confession in the school parking lot at sunset, he helps you realize that you deserve a love like you’ve helped so many others find.

@sly-merlin: talking to simmi is always something very healing (like yuta’s smile hehe) so i’d definitely give her a secret agent/spy au with partner!yuta! she is so friendly to anyone and everyone, she gives off this warm and loving vibe like that of an old friend🥺she’s also extremely dedicated to her studies and works so hard. everyone adores her, and seeing her talk about things that make her happy is just the cutest thing ever! simmi, you truly have everyone’s heart!! now for the fic: you and yuta are both spies, partnered up for a very important and serious mission. only problem is, he’s never been the serious type. he teases you for being so uptight, but you genuinely don’t know any other way to approach a mission. along the way though, he manages to teach you how to have a little fun with your job, even if it means lots of close calls and sticky situations that force you both to begrudgingly (well, you more so than him) pretend you’re an oblivious couple in order to escape suspicious eyes. eventually, you find yourself becoming less and less unwilling to throw a casual arm around his shoulder, even when you aren’t at risk of being caught on your mission. maybe he isn’t so bad after all... :)

@suhpressed: a strangers to lovers au with theatre usher!johnny. so you know how johnny’s like an older brother to mark? i get major comforting and warm big sis vibes from elaida!! i would ship her with johnny because they’re both such selfless and caring people! she’s not afraid to speak her mind, and she always looks out for others with kindness and encouragement! as for the fic: you’re finally attending a broadway show you’ve been dying to see since, well, forever. this really cute usher helps you find your seat, but in a rare stroke of clumsiness, he bumps someone with a glass of wine in their hand that ends up staining your blouse a dark red. like the gentleman johnny (you can see it on his nametag) is, he promises to buy you a new one, and writes his phone number on the show’s program. you enjoy the musical, but the digits scribbled down next to the performers’ names prove to be more distracting than you anticipated. throughout the show you’re really jittery, excited to get back home so you can text him. in addition to replacing your ruined shirt, he also invites you out for coffee over the phone, you agree, and you both hit it off. the rest is history! the way that you met becomes a favorite story among your friends and families, & they never miss a chance to tease you two about spilling drinks.

@tyongxnct: elida, where do i begin🥺right away, i think of an idol au with taeyong. she is just so caring and supportive, she likes or comments on my posts and can make me smile with just a few words!! i remember one time that she said she was lucky to have me as a moot and it really warmed my heart, i’m so so lucky to have her too! i can tell she’s passionate about writing and that it brings her so much joy! i wish her only the best in life always <3 in the fic: during a tour, nct 127 stops in your country for a few nights of concerts, and in the midst of the excitement on the way back from the venue, taeyong gets separated from the rest. in an unfamiliar environment, he begins to panic as he remembers that he left his phone on the tour bus and has no way to contact his manager or fellow members. you, while familiar with and respectful of the group but not an avid follower of their music, catch sight of the lost and more than frazzled man as he frantically paces along the sidewalk, trying to recall his surroundings when he exited the bus hours ago. had it not been for your observant gaze, you may have missed the small group logo on his white shirt, letting you know who he was. determined to ease his obvious nerves by helping him find his way back, you lend a hand by approaching him and asking what he remembers. despite only being given a few details, you know the area he describes, quickly leading him there and reuniting him with the rest of the group. more than grateful, he offers you a ticket to the last show there, and hopes that it won’t be the last time he sees you.

@yo-ddream: a childhood best friends to lovers au with jungwoo! emily (pt 2/granny okay sorry i’m done) also feels like somewhat of an older sister to me, she gives great advice and always seems to have a story to tell from her working adventures lol. she’s very witty and extremely kind!! i guess i get jungwoo vibes because at first she seems quiet, but once you get to know her and she opens up a bit you see her fun personality and humor shine through when you talk to her :) she’s also honest about what she thinks and doesn’t sugarcoat it, something that’s very much needed in a person! okay, onto the fic: you and jungwoo grew up in the same neighborhood, going to the same school, getting your first part-time jobs at same store a few blocks down from your street. your lives have been intertwined from the start, but when a family matter pops up, it threatens his place by your side in almost everything you do and puts your friendship and undisclosed feelings for each other at risk. both working up the courage to confess as time ticks down and it gets closer to the day he’s meant to move away, you spend every moment with each other enjoying life’s little moments, the simple things like watching the sunset on a park bench or taking a walk down the sidewalk of the town shopping center. in an extremely convenient stroke of luck, he gets word that things have been sorted out, and the move is off. in both of your delight at the news, you feel like nothing can stop you. you blurt out the same three words at the same time before launching your arms around one another. if it’s you and jungwoo against the world, so be it, because not even the universe had the heart to separate the bond between you.

@zzzzzcakes: zel🥺she’s always been super supportive of me and my work, i’m happy she left feedback on a fic of mine because i might not have reached out to express my gratitude for her words and gotten to know her otherwise! she’s very kind and positive, and seeing her posts and reblogs make me laugh all the time :D i’d say a grocery store au with sungchan. (hear me out i know you must be going ‘huh?’ but trust me on this one! in that recent post you made you said something about shopping carts, and it made me think...see where this is going? haha ANYWAY!) so sungchan is the newest employee at the supermarket where you work. he’s the go-to person to call when someone can’t reach an item on one of the highest shelves, earning bewildered stares from customers and coworkers alike. he always has a joke up his sleeve or a clever remark to make about the many challenges of working in retail. you take a liking to him for how down-to-earth he is and despite all the occasional sarcasm coming from him when you’re both in the break room, he’s very helpful whenever he’s needed. he also admires how focused you are on the job, ringing up endless items and bagging groceries until your hands hurt. whenever he strides down an aisle near the register you’re working at that day, he doesn’t hesitate to send a wave and an endearing grin your way. it’s the moments like that with him that get you through your shift and keep you going. it’s no surprise when you reveal to the rest of the staff that you’re dating. of course, the perks of being employees mean that you can spend many late nights racing each other in shopping carts at the back of the store near closing time and other mischievous activities of the sort, laughing when your manager scolds you over the loudspeaker system without a care in the world.

-Yes she trusts easily :/ mayhaps too easily. Her way of thinking is innocent until proven guilty and even then, it takes a looooot to make her start to doubt someone because she wants to believe everyone has good intentions. To earn her trust, being nice to her and other ppl is the easiest way, but she's also prone to trust you if you seem secure somehow or just in charge like a position of authority.

50. Why would they be a good partner for a road trip?

-Snacks. On demand. She packs every snack and drink you could ever hope for and stashes up on blankets and pillows too. The type to wanna play my spy and car games and to sing along really loudly to music. WILL stick her head out the window sometimes. Will want to stop at every roadside attraction. -All chaotic! Theres seldom ever a storyline or anything, just bright colors and random things happening and an overlying sense of panic or dread. Like those images you look at to understand what having a stroke is like, everything is off color and melting and shes usually running away from something. Typically nightmares but about nothing in particular, just disconnected sounds shapes and figures.

52. What topic should nobody bring up around them, lest the other person be subject to a massive ramble/rant?

-ANYTHING to do with twilight. She knows everything about it. Has seen and read is 12 times over and can quote it directly at any time, do not attempt to argue twilight with her. Hi! Nice to see you again!

it’s me, Jirou. It’s been a while. I don’t think I’ve posted anything after my first semester of second year.. it’s been almost 2 years since then! And a LOOOOOT has happened. I’m happy I’m still here.

This is probably gonna be a long post, but I just wanted to write down how much my life has changed since then, how much I’ve learned and how much happier I’ve become. Thank you for reading this far.

Before you read any further, please be aware of a few trigger warnings for: suicide attempt, sexual assault and child abuse.

Let’s start from where we left off, shall we? Second semester of my second year of uni. So much happened, especially the upcoming med school entrance exam. The looming THOUGHT of that one event tanked my mental health and academic progress SOOO much that I got the worst grades I’ve ever had for my subjects. I was miserable, switching from antidepressant to anti anxiety meds like they were skittles. I was doing my best to stay alive.

[TW: suicide attempt] Then a few weeks before that damn med school test. The police came knocking on my door with an ambulance following shortly after to take me to hospital, as I’d just tried to take my life. I spent 6 hours there total, got cleared home after a the doctor assessment. But I’ve never felt so out reality. Like I was never alive at all. I recovered well after that, but I was still finding it hard to get back to reality. I got stuck watching twitch streamers to never have a quiet second in my brain. That was when I decided to join this one streamer’s subscriber discord. And I met the boy that pulled me back to earth.

This was 6 months after a brutal heart break, [TW: sexual assault] one where I was violated and left to feel empty and unlovable. I lost all my self esteem from that breakup, and along with expectations from my parents and my own mental illnesses, it almost took my life. So you wouldn’t even believe how much in awe I was that one person was able to change how I think completely.

I met my current boyfriend (he likes to think he’s my fiancé) in that discord, after he told me to shut up when I said hi to everyone. Then apologised of course, but that fueled it enough to set a course of enemies to lovers:

After a month or two of talking, he confessed he loved me. I did the same. Happily ever after. But get this, he lived in Sydney, and I, in melbourne. So it was exactly a year until we get to actually see each other because... DUN DUN DUUUUNNN the pandemic happened.

It was a roughy rough time. As I still lived with my parents, I had to move with them to a part of my state that was rly far away from uni and my friends. And I can’t drive so.... I really spent those first few months of lockdown with no social contact... [TW: child abuse] in a house of narcissistic and abusive parents. So then again, my mental health tanked. So hard that I recall such a vivid moment that while my bf was on call with me he was trying to make me imagine a future with him, far far away, where nothing could touch me. That’s when I knew I really had to get out of there if I wanted to live and prosper.

After my first semester of third year. I ran away from home. I packed my things secretly, waited for my parents and the rest of the family to leave the house for groceries. Made breakfast for my sister who was still asleep. Called my uber, and didn’t look back. It was the hardest, most exhilarating and most profound thing I have ever done in my life. It is the reason I am still alive today. I escaped abuse, organised my life to support myself ALONE. Learned to live with roommates, navigated my ling distance relationship, and improved my mental health. Just from doing one thing, that changed my life.

After that, things were going more smoothly. I was in my second semester of uni, I was doing okay. I wasn’t doing AMAZING but for my circumstances, I was doing my god damn best. I finished that semester as well as I could. And then the borders opened. And I could finally see my baby.

One whole year we went without even touching skin. I finally was there, to another stepping stone in my life that unfolds the rest of my future. Changing my future like tidal waves for ripples. I met him, and I knew he was the love of my life. We spent one week together until he had to go back. And I was like fuck that I need you. 3 weeks later I found myself in Sydney, living with his family for almost two months until I had to come back for my final semester. Which is where I am now.

You’re all caught up now. Let me tell you about how I’ve changed. I think I am the happiest I’ve ever been since my innocent childhood, everyday I spend with my bf feels like the Sunday mornings that my grandma picks me up from my dad’s and takes me to buy toys. I feel like I can have a future. I am tethered to reality by the best person I have ever known. And I built this life with the support of my friends and supportive family members. From here on, I’m expecting to move in with my bf in a few months time, which by then we won’t be long distance anymore. We’ll finally be able to plan our future together.

If you’re still reading, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I hope with my story, my journey from 16-17 years old when I started this blog, and now that I’m 2 weeks away from turning 21, you can see that life changes and gets better. All the bullshit you encounter will fade into black once enough time passes. I hope to the universe that life treats you well and guides you to your stars. I’m thankful that I had the opportunity to write my life down in this blog, I’ll come back every now and then to let you know. But the way my life is going, I don’t even feel the need to escape it through reblogging things I wish I was/had/was doing. I am living for me.

Intermission Hunt!

I wanted to tell you about the hunt I did with NOT MY REGULAR GROUP, but a bunch of other iHunters, called Max and Leon. They’re both damn tough Knights, Max used to teach tennis and Leon is a tattoo artist! Both very cool people. Because their group couldn’t make it and they needed someone with crypto knowledge, they asked me to hunt a Bigfoot in a parking lot.

So I did some research beforehand and found out that Bigfoots aren’t actually indigenous to Europe, just Northern America, because they rely on a diet of maple syrup (which there isn’t much of here) and they need a lot - like, a LOOOOOT.

Our first reaction was: Maybe that’s not a Bigfoot? Just a guy in a Chewbacca costume perhaps? Let’s see...

When we got to the address the first person we met was a greasy, but pompous dude, with a huge fluffy hat and extravagant clothing style - and the FUCKING WORST BEHAVIOR. Full on pickup artist bullshit, I tell you. He wanted to have Max’ and my number (obviously), I pretended to have my phone broken and Max gave him Leon’s number, who had the time of his life.

Then we went to our client, a boomer guy in a tidy apartment. Bourgeoisie ahoy, I tell you. Not someone you want to spend a lot of time with, ugh. But the money he promised if we get the Bigfoot (without damaging the cars) is pretty much. He told us that a lot of people have seen the Bigfoot and also a slimy substance in the garage (you can imagine what the first thing was that came to our minds when thinking back to the pick up artist asshole... just... y’know)

Okay, so up to the garage and investigating. We found that the slimy substance was actually hair gel (puh) and what we also found were a flyer (which you can see above). What the actual HECK was going on with that PUA guy?

Speaking of him, we actually tried to lure him into meeting us in the garage by texting (since he has Leons number now), but apart from some dick pics (of two different dicks interestingly) he left us hanging.

Then the Bigfoot appeared. A fucking monster. 3,5m tall, covered from head to toe in hair gel and with manicured claws (WTF?). We didn’t get out quickly enough, he hit Max and dislocated her jaw, but she managed to trick him into jumping out the building, then he ran away.

So now we were there, Max in pain, Leon in joy, me in cringe. Stay tuned for how the story goes on, cuz we’ll probably need backup for the Bigfoot. And the pick up artist as well. (But Leon can fix him ;))

What’s your worst/funniest experience with one of your neighbors? "Worst" and "funniest" are very different... but I can tell you the worst easily. At my childhood home, our next-door neighbors had a pair of Rottweilers in their back yard within a chain-link fence, and we had a LOT of outdoor cats at the time. (I will emphasize every time I bring it up to NOT keep cats outside.) Somehow the dogs got loose and went on a rampage trying to kill our cats; one young one was killed, while our fearless mother cat, Chance, literally fought them off to defend her new kittens. More were maybe killed, I honestly can't remember. My mom was hysterical and threatened to call animal control if it ever happened again. I was absolutely, utterly heartbroken. The last time you burned your tongue or mouth, what were you eating? Ummm I want to say it was some sort of pasta that I didn't let cool long enough. Honestly, are you shallow? Far from it, honestly. Can/could your parents tell when you were lying? Not always. Besides clothes, shoes, and accessories, what’s your favorite thing to shop for? I love window-shopping at Morph Market, haha. AAAAAAAAAALL those ball python morphs, man... *drools* Does/did your parents ever go through your computer or cell phone? When I was younger, Mom was very intent on figuring out why I was always so secretive about what I did on the computer (mostly RP-related things) that ohhhh yeah, she'd do some digging. The night she finally snapped, demanding I tell her my passwords to everything, and she ultimately found out about me being a forum RPer, was literally almost traumatic to me, I think. I know, that sounds INCREDIBLY overdramatic, but I'm not fucking joking. I was in my room SOBBING on my best friend's shoulder, who was spending the night. I was just so embarrassed, and I *still* am when I share that fact with people I know, even though I have no reason to be. Like I don't do any weird or kinky RP shit, it's just genuine, artistic writing with actual, well thought-out plots, but I still feel like people would think it dumb, childish, and just weird. What song reminds you the most of a particular day in your life? Why is that? "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin. I've talked about it a few times before and really don't feel like doing it again. Do you have any close friends that were adopted? I don't think so. Who, in your opinion, is the best thriller writer? I don't know. Does your mom eat meat? Yeah. Was your dad ever on a sports team? Have you ever spent more than two weeks in a wheelchair? I've only needed a wheelchair once in my life, and that was just to get inside and maneuver around the doctor's office when I tore a ligament in my foot. So no. What are your favorite word? Serendipity, tranquility, lucid, etc.; pretty, peaceful words like those. Is there a lot of drama in your life? Nope. I don't do enough or have enough people in my life for there to be. What are you listening to? An extended version of "Nightsong" from WoW. Do you hear any animals right now? No. I'm sure I'd hear birds if I didn't have my earplugs in, though. Have you ever played fetch with a dog? Yes. Have you ever pet a stingray? No. Who is the last baby you held? Emerson, my youngest niece. Do you have any scars from an animal? Yeah; I've got looooots from my cat playing too rough. Have you ever seen an Igloo? I don't believe so. Do you like Korn? They're high on my list of faves. Are you more afraid of tornadoes or hurricanes? Absolutely tornadoes. Do you like mushrooms? Ugh, NO. Have you ever been on Omegle? No. So do you have a favorite M&M? Just the regular ones. Have you ever snuck out? No. Do you currently feel like you have pretty stable career goals/a pretty stable life plan? Have you ever felt this way? I don't know, man. I know what I WANT to do, I just don't know if I'm ever going to get there. Or if what I want will be financially supportive enough, now that I'm really losing interest in photographing people. I might just have to if I want to be financially stable with photography, which would be okay, but bleh. I'd much rather just work with nature. If you could buy an android that was was convincingly human and could be tailored to be your perfect partner, would you want one? No. I don't want to build my own partner, nor do I want my romantic partner to be an android. I want life to just introduce me to a person who is uniquely themselves, who have built themselves from their own life experiences, and not just have a perfect spouse tailored to everything I like. If you do not identify as being “straight,” can you remember back to your childhood some things you did that were, in hindsight, possible indicators of your future sexuality? Yes, especially in middle school. I thought women were prettier than probably a straight kid would, and looking back, I definitely found the natural curves of the female figure to be attractive. When you consume media (movies, books, etc.) with a romantic element, what sort of romance scenarios interest you most? Hm. I know I prefer serious ones over silly; like I'm a sucker for Nicholas Sparks' style, if that says anything. If you are female, do you feel connected to other women as a class? What sort of things make you feel a strong sense of sisterhood or female empowerment? This is too big of a question for me to feel like delving into right now, haha. But I can say it more so depends on the individual than the gender when it comes to feeling connection over anything.
