A Calivada Essay in Song Lyrics

Lowkey inspired by @sleepdeprivedsimp234's song lyrics posts I decided to let my instincts win and put together a post full of song lyrics that are Calivada-coded to me. (Since the latest episode got me fully back on my Calivada bullshit. You could say they took a high-speed rail straight into my heart. )

The songs are roughly in order with how I picture the progression of their relationship. It starts with the early days of the Gold and Silver rushes and the Wild West, marked with periods of stormy and reckless whirlwind romance. Our Dining Table Ep 10 (Finale) Stray Thoughts

I'm glad to have another comfort show to add to the collection. Last week, Ueda Koji did all of us a favor by literally grabbing Minoru by the scruff and throwing him out into the street to go find Yutaka, who was also doing the Japanese track star run to express his feelings. We saw the wider complexity of the Hozumi family, and it forced Yutaka to recognize his own role in his isolation, and he decided to talk to Minoru. They had a beautiful scene on the swings, and now we face the final challenge: the fear of losing the ones we love.

Oh, Yutaka. Please talk to Papa Koji. If anyone understands what it's like to lose your love, it's him. I hope he doesn't get stuck in his head all episode.

Look at my man coming through instantly. He sent them into a date.

Oh, the date was going so well, and then Yutaka got scared of his own feelings.

OMG there's a whole section of the photo album called "Mika in Yukata." Yep, time to cry again.

That's right, Papa Ueda. MEDDLE. That is the essence of being a hero.

Despite all the grief this family has suffered, Tane is so bright. I'm loving this kimchi hotpot dinner. Minoru senses meddling at work, but doesn't know the aim. Clearly the dad wants Yutaka to spend the night with Minoru.

Yutaka is down for the count. Papa Ueda finally gets to eat with everyone and he demolished Yutaka.

Oh, Ueda Koji, thank you for sharing this with Yutaka. Yes, there will be pain, but loneliness hurts too. At least when you miss someone, you're thinking of good times spent together.

"Yutaka, you're not alone. Thank you for coming into Minoru's and Tane's lives. Thank you so much. When we have to part, let's feel the pain together." Yep, nothing but crying today in BL.

I love with way Minoru hugs and touches Yutaka. Iijima is pouring so much desire into these little moments.

Oh my goodness. Tane called Yutaka his family. Yutaka owned it, and then essentially proposed to Minoru.

I'm so glad they announced a special for next week, because I need just a little more.

Final Verdict: 10, Highly Recommended. This was absolutely lovely in a way that I think only Japan does well. They manage to pull so much love out of such sad moments. So many characters here are carrying trauma around, and this show manages to be healing in a way that is so gentle and unforced. What an absolutely lovely cast. I will be rewatching this one for sure.

I hate to info dump but here we go:

1.Kougami picked Akane up ALL ON HIS OWN..Not because someone ordered him to.Remember Garcia told him how he can’t imagine Kougami being responsible for another person?Coming to pick her up was Kougami’s way of mending things.Apologising to the only person he thinks deserves his apology and taking responsibility for his past behaviour by saying sorry.It’s a massive step for him.This is why Akane brushed off his apology.They caught up on the car as well.

2.The reason Akane wasn’t expecting him is most certainly because he works for foreign affairs.Akane was still an MWPSB employee so she probably thought it’d be Mika or the new inspectors.Also that should tell you something that despite being from a competing ministry he’s able to pick her up.He had to have pulled a lot of strings,request and beg tons of people.

3.Kougami made MULTIPLE requests to visit Akane.They were denied except that one time when he managed to get an approval.He didn’t back out of visiting her because it would be a waste of time.Again that’s a big deal because only Mika who’s the chief inspector had online access to Akane.

4.During the visit he put his back on the door because stooping down to her level would be awkward which makes sense?She’s 5’4” and he’s 6” so it would be uncomfortable to stare through a small window in that height for him so idk what’s wrong with that.He said Frederica/Ginoza thought it would be better for him not to visit her also he didn’t bring any souvenirs because he didn’t know what she liked.There wasn’t a lot of time I am sure.Solitary confinement is solitary for a reason.

5.I am not sure if Frederica is keeping in contact with Tenzing.I should hope so.She better make Kougami call her as well.I am not sure why Kougami would be thinking about Akane while he’s fighting MWPSB enforcers either.

Here’s the thing I think a few people are disappointed that their headcanon doesn’t match the Kougami in canon anymore (which I am sure is sad).But spreading misinformation to make people see Kougami the negative way is turning other people off.My advise is take everything people say with a grain of salt.Some people are helbent on spreading negativity because things didn’t go the way they wanted.

if you are up for it buy the books and run them through a translation or pay a translator to translate.Make up your own mind.

Since I haven't read the novels about S3 because I don't speak Japanese, I can't answer to any of those points. Not since @cleverwolfpoetry used to translate the novels, do I know anything of the novels. The only think I know is that the writers said shinkane is platonic and what I got from Providence and Sinners of the System. Other people have read the novels and give their opinion about them. Maybe they're spreading misinformation; I have no idea. But you're right, a grain of salt doesn't hurt.

I don't know if there's a current hate campaign against Kogami (there's always been, though. I remember people crapping on him when he told Akane to kill Makishima), but people are going to hate who they're going to hate. One thing I'll never do is ship Homura and Akane. Or Kogami and Frederica. For me it'll always be Akane and Kogami and I don't care what the writers say. Cleverwolf's translations gave me enough material to deduce that this attempt to bring down shinkane (or to take it out of its ambiguity) is part of the "remodeling" of Psycho-Pass from a philosophical and psychological anime to a more action and plot driven franchise for a different target audience.

Heck, it's all in Makishima's last monologue: "Everyone is alone. Everyone is empty. People no longer have need of others. You can always find a spare for any replacement. Any relationship can be replaced."

Psycho-Pass is about the most human of things: relationships. (And yes, human nature, violence, free will, rationality vs animality, etc). So the writers can say whatever the hell they want, but Akane is not replaceable for Kogami and neither is Kogami for her (remember the All Star novel where holos of all the dead people are tormenting Akane and telling her Ko is dead and she's like "No, that person can't be dead"? I love how Sibyl, Kamui and Togane know Akane is deeply in love with Kogami and they try to use that against her all the time.

At the end of the day, despite the castes the system creates, the human bond will break those chains. The purest-hued young woman falling for a heartbroken criminal is just too delicious a dynamic to ignore.

Mika Headcannons pt.2

Since y'all enjoyed the last one so much, I got some more Mika brainrot today.

He helps Noelle with her duties. Like, all the time. Mika needs to be doing something, or else he'll feel his depression and anxieties, so on his off time he's helping Noelle clean up around Headquarters, or stack boxes, or clean shoes.

He doesn't like others cooking. I know in his voicelines he says that they always take turns after plucking petals from a flower, but this kid feels bad when others cook for him.

He tried to run away before, but ran into Razor. Ever since the two have been pretty good buddies, going on adventures with Bennett, Fischl, and Mona. He still wants to run away often, but he'll never say so out loud.

Mika has to be called into Angel's Share to pay off his brother's tab occasionally, usually using money that he'd saved up to buy himself something. Curses to that brother.

He feels a bit jealous of Collei, because her struggles were visible, and who is he to complain when all he feels is inside? He doesn't use a sword because he's scared he'll hurt himself on purpose - using a spear and a crossbow make it hard to.

He feels unheard. Like, all the time. He's just a quiet, sad lil boy. The weight of expectations suffocate him, the burden of taking care of Huffman suffocates him, everything suffocates him. But he has no one to turn to for help

Your Kings AU prompt makes me think of King Lewis and Queen Nico! They married each other out of a sense of duty and while there was no love, they got along well and didn't think it was the worst outcome that they would have a family together.

But then Nico nearly dies during the birth and it just tears them apart. Nico feels like a failure and just bathes in self loathing - he doesnt get true love romantically and now he will never have unconditional love from a baby, will he *ever* get any love in his life? He pulls away from Lewis and the couple become cold and distant, barely looking at each other in public. He notices Lewis leaving the castle more often, but he just doesn't have it in himself to care - he's become a shell of himself.

Life becomes like groundhogs day, where everything just repeats - Nico and Lewis wake up, eat breakfast together (steadfastly avoiding talking or looking at each other) and then they don't see each other again until dinner or at court. But then, sweet farmer Val turns up and he's pregnant. For the first time, Nico feels something other than self loathing and emptiness - he feels RAGE! Didn't he do all the right things? He gave up so much, lost so much and continued to do his duty and now the courts and Lewis have seemingly disregarded this all for Val and an heir?

Nico is heartsick watching Lewis and Val together, especially as Val's bump continues to grow. He stops leaving his chambers and can't bring himself to eat. Maybe Val and Lewis get concerned when they haven't seen the queen for a few weeks and send one of his trusted advisors from his home kingdom, Mika, to check on him. Mika is horrified to see Nico looking pale, so very thin and just like a husk lying in bed.

I don't know how it'll get to this point - but at the end, Lewis, Val and Nico fall in love and live happily ever after with the little prince or princess (unhappy endings make me so sad)! Maybe Nico even ends up having a surprise baby and he's just so happy!

Oh plss!

Nico and Lewis not marrying out of love, but the value and respect the other a lot. They are a beautiful couple, both so kind hearted and loyal to their people and everyone is gushing over how cute the heir will be!

Nico gets pregnant and they are both really excited. Nico really wants to be a mother and Lewis is so sweet to him during his pregnancy, which is really tough and draining. But then Nico goes into labor way too early and its very dangerous, and the pup sadly does not survive...

Nico survives by miracle but losing his pups just tears his heart apart. He cannot bare be close to Lewis and Lewis doesn't know what to do, how to comfort Nico and it just gets worse when the physicians say Nico is likely infertile...

They barely speak, barely see each other, only interact through the flowers they both leave at the tiny grave Nico had made. Nico noticed Lewis leaves to the village a lot but doesn't really care and just goes on eith his day, every day, until Valtteri turns out.

The sweet farmer Omega is wearing his best, albeit simple dress, cheeks flushed with nerves. Nico doesn't understand why Valtteri is there, and why Lewis seems to know the farmer. Val whispers he is pregnant and isn't sure what to do or where to go and Lewis ofcourse offers him to stay.

Nico would be so angry! He tried his best, did everything right and still it wasn't enough, and now a farmer can give Lewis what he can't?!

Lewis tries to talk to Nico and Val very shyly tries to help, but Nico ignores them entirely and hides in his chambers, not even letting the maids see him most days and definitely not letting Lewis in.

Lewis writing to Mika, having the advisor come over as Nico adores him, and surprisingly, Mika is allowed into the room. Mika being so shocked seeing Nico, his long hair isn't neatly brushed, his slip dress hanging loose as he lost weight. He looks so pale and sad and bursts into tears seeing Mika, desperately holding his arms out and Mika can do little else but hold Nico as he sobs.

Pls I want a happy ending for them too!! Lewis and Nico becoming closer again ams Nico comes to adore sweet Val!

you ran to the bathroom and released your insides, your body hung over the toilet as you coughed out the chunky mixture, getting some in your hair.

"sorry" you sighed out, your wet hair roughly thrown up into a low bun with a tight gray long sleeve shirt -a black jacket over it as the top hugged your fresh bump a little too well- you turned your back and zipped it down slowly and quickly replaced it with the green apron, paranoid that Levi would notice the new bump -even tho it was so small no one would notice. yet, you were still afraid-

"What's up with you?"

fuck, he didn't notice your belly hump, but your strange attitude.

"Nothing." you answered shortly

his eyes didn't leave yours with brows that furrowed in concentration, trying to find anything that would tell what's wrong.

"I'm all ears" he pushed

"I'm good."

"A friend in need should-" "you really don't stop huh?" you smiled in disbelief as you stared into his dull gray eyes with his brows slightly raised at your outburst

"Sorry, didn't mean to pry"

"didn't mean to lash out" you started on the order while uncomfortable silence filled the small cafe

"I talked with Eren" you admitted

"About?"

"everything." except his child that your carrying

"And?"

"he just said sorry. that's a confession in itself" your half-lidded eyes stayed on the half-assed iced coffee you stirred up

"didn't you have all the evidence you needed?"

"Yeah. even a late-night confession to his 'sleeping girlfriend' " "fuck, I'm so sorry. He is such an idiot" he scoffed

you sighed and threw a random pastry into the microwave for it to warm up, you leaned onto the counter to finally look at Levi

"He doesn't deserve you." he mumbled but you caught it, taking it as a warm gesture instead of anything else

"Mm..." you hummed as your lips twisted into itself, in deep thought

"Want me to kick his ass?" the corner of your lip tugged up at his comment

"fuck yeah." you nodded

the next thing you know you're back at the grumpy hotel with a soggy sandwich and 6 missed calls from Eren.

you sighed and plopped the sandwich on the coffee table as you laid out on the bed, having no desire to eat.

your phone binged and you groaned,

"Leave me the fuck alone Eren- oh." you saw Mikasas contacted pull up and you answered

"look, look, So...We are going out tomorrow, we are gonna get wasted and- and- dance and just have no care in the-"

"Woah, slow down Mika" you giggled

"no! you deserve so much more than that asshole has given you!"

"I'm not gonna let you rot in a random hotel because of him." your heart heated at her sudden protectiveness and thoughtfulness 

"so, tomorrow?" "Oh...uhm...yeah" she snapped you out of your thoughts 

"perfect. see you then babes"

after she ended the call you tossed your phone onto the bed and stared at the slimy sandwich still laying wrapped on the coffee table. 

you threw a hand over your eyes and fell back into the bed

so many things are happening, you're not sure if you can handle all of them at once.

you decided to try and tackle one thing and a time and hopped into the searing hot shower, soothing your aching muscles 

 you tried to keep your eyes open but with the hot sizzling shower, and the steam rising up, you just got sleepier and sleepier until you decided to step out and lay on the bed, robe still wrapped around your body as you drifted off to sleep.

until you woke up.

your eyes busted open to see a message from Eren

the first minute of sleep you've had. and he texted you.

"just another reason to hate him" you mumbled as his message disappeared and your screen went black

and then again, another sleepless night.

your eyes blurred and your ears rung

"Y/n get the order"

your body felt like it was slowly swaying back and forth when suddenly a hand was on your shoulder and your ears snapped as your vision focus

"Y/n?" "oh...you scared me" you mumbled as you looked down at the ingredients you had laid out, trying to remember the task you had and hand

"Hey, are you okay?" "Mhm...what was the order" "just...a vanilla iced coffee- hey, are you sure everything alright?" 

"yeah" you brushed him off

you swallowed thickly, the feeling of sickness rising up from your stomach

"what uhm- size was the drink?" you clear your throat

"grande..." Levi's eyes examined your face, worry written on his features

you nodded at his answer, whispering it to make sure you got it. 

"I'm gonna use the bathroom" you suddenly walked off, heading towards the restroom

you leaned into the toilet. vomiting everything you ate, just to stare at the clear liquid, reminding yourself that you didn't eat breakfast 

you bit your lip, feeling your eyes burn at your sudden realization that you've been so caught up in trying to take care of this mess you forgot to take care of yourself

"Y/n? are you okay" Levi's voice chimed in, his palm making with the door as he banged on it

you quickly wiped your mouth and stood up, unlocking the door to see a concerned Levi 

"Okay, what's going on?" he asked in a stern voice, rambling on but you didn't listen, only to stare into his eyes and have the truth slip from your mouth

"I'm pregnant"

OnS Chapter 130

Aaaaaaaah!!!! The lore thickens!

I am just dreading to make this since tumblr's post editor updated to being a pain the ass to use lol. I can't just not blog about reading OnS chapters cause it's the only way I can "re-read" them when they become unavailable. Why have the scanlators stopped working on this, I'd never know but I'm sad they don't seem to be around anymore for this manga (I mean I'd still read stuff on mangaplus but if I want to backread at least I'd have a way...).

While Yuu-chan and Mika are having a chat and probably some potential existensial crisis, Rigr seem to be checking out the 1st Progenitor's memories.

Would you look at that? He got there at the exact point in the memory world that Yuu-chan and Mika last watched! How convenient lol.

Rigr now knows about Shika Madu's past.

The reincarnated angels don't remember their past lives but it seems Shika Madu is okay with them living unaware of it. After all, tragic backstories and all.

Rigr now knowing the truth, it seems he now cares about the 1st Progenitor. Shika Madu might be an asshole but he still cares about his angel subjects even after all this time. He knows it would be difficult and he might not be able to succeed but he's not going to give up hope.

It makes me wonder more what his plan is in the present since he seems to be fucking over those he says he cares about.

Anyways, Rigr ends up crying even if he doesn't have his past life memories which made him wonder if those memories still lie within him somewhere.

I'm not gonna lie, I have no idea what to call him now that it's revealed he's the real Mika. Anyways, he was finally noticed by Shika Madu which is bad cause he has a plan.

Angel Mika is alive now and he needs to make his father think he's still dead so he asks homonculus!Yuu to take his place. He'd even forget his real identity to make things more convincing.

"No matter how many eons it takes... no matter how many generations we go through... in the end, we'll save everybody!" declared human Yuu whose actually the real angel Mika (this is gonna be confusing lol. I'm calling him Past!Yuu). It didn't matter how long it took and what the circumstances have become, Yuu-chan has always wanted to save everyone no matter when and it's always been his goal.

(I wish I could take the screenshot of when he said this but it's hard to crop with the length)

Homonculus!Yuu seems hesitant at first but he happily agreed with Past!Yuu's plan and he's now the new Mika.

New!Mika (yes, I'm not calling him that) is given his first task for his newest role. I'm guessing the "seven lights" are the black keys? Maybe? Anyways, he basically made it so that his father would do a bunch of detours before getting to his goal lol.

Past!Yuu erased (although more like locked away) his memories of being Angel Mika. He promises New!Mika that no matter what, he'd come back and collect him and New!Mika happily promises back.

Beams of light shoot out from New!Mika and Shika Madu catches one of them. On his hand he finds one of the black keys (I was right earlier! lol). He thinks homonculus!Yuu might've done something but basically thinks "Nah, I made him and he can't think for himself." so he turns his attention to Past!Yuu.

Past!Yuu acts like he knows nothing (either he's acting or the memory lock worked too well) and Shika Madu doesn't buy it and checks his memories which kills Past!Yuu in the process. Shika Madu confirms that Past!Yuu totally knows noting (lol if only you knew).

Shika Madu laments the fragility of the humans he created as he estimated that they might not even live to be a hundred.

Shika Madu doesn't realize that close by, Past!Yuu aka the real Angel Mika had been reborn again.

Aww!! A proper reunion between Mika and Yuu! Yuu-chan had fullfilled his promise! They still don't actually have their past life memories but they're okay with it as they think it'd have been bad if they actually did all this time. After all, it took this long to get this far in their plans and they went through so much that if they remembered everything, it'd have made them suffer more and give up.

They're reminded of the vampires who hated being immortal cause it caused them suffering.

These two are now having a discussion on the meaning of (their) life. They wonder why they should keep going and why Yuu-chan should make Mika human again. Mika answers that he wants to live and die with Yuu-chan (aww... that's so sweet!). Yuu-chan asks if that'd really make Mika happy and Mika says he thinks so.

Mika is slowly but surely turning into a full demon and Yuu-chan says he won't let it happen. Yuu-chan concludes that they don't clearly remember their past lives and they'd continue living this life and would try to reach their present lives goal: save everyone (especially the dead Hyakuya orphans and Guren and their friends) and turn Mika back to human.

Hope restored! Yuu-chan likens their current situation to a video game and thinks that they have a chance now that they know the lore. Mika agrees!

Their current goal? Get the seven keys!

Oh!! Flashback to eight years ago!

Ferid is wondering why the First Progenitor wants to make a "Mikaela" and what even is a "Mikaela" in the first place. He says he wasn't compatible to become this Mikaela and the First Progenitor himself cannot be whatever it was.

He also got his hands on little Yuu-chan and Mika (they were drugged and were sound asleep) to check their memories. Someone else is there with Ferid however...

Ferid asked Guren if Guren had checked the kids' memories and he hasn't yet.

Oh... what does this mean?!

That last panel though. Guren looked weird lol. Had their chins always been this round/big? I mean I knew the illustrator's artstyle had changed over the years as this manga had been running for a long time now but this is the first time I really notice. I don't like it lol. Makes them look weird and old. I might not like Guren that much but I have to admit he's handsome and this? Not at all lol.

Okay! We got the lore!! I'm happy and excited and this feels like the most hilarious development I've seen in this story in a while. Angel Mika is smart and immediately have some kind of starting plan for his goal. Sadly, it seems turning himself into Yuu-chan also lowered his braincells lol jk. It seems no one else in this metaphorical chess game realized that someone they wanted to take as pawn is also playing the game.

Guren and Shika Madu totally fucked up their plans all because they were targetting the wrong kid! Especially Guren who had been with Yuu-chan longer in this current life cause his actions in the last couple of chapters made Yuu-chan reject helping him. I think if Yuu-chan had gotten back his memories of being Angel Mika and if Guren knew about this fact, Guren probably would've had a better chance of convincing Yuu-chan to sacrifice himself since Yuu-chan's goal in life (both the past and present) was to save everyone including Mika.

Oh, ther irony! XD

This isn't a perfect story, I admit. I don't think this turn of events had been hinted before (if it had been, then it's my fault I missed all the clues) but I don't care. I'm still having a lot of fun reading.

Mika telling Yuu-chan once again that he'd just want them to live together until the end made me sooo happy! Ah, it's times like these I'm happy to be a MikaYuu fan haha. I remember that in the PSP game, they did mention this also with Mika and Yuu wanting to live and raise kids together. (>///<)

I'm curious now about what Shika Madu is actually feeling about all this in the present. He did care a lot about everyone back then but now it doesn't seem to be the case and he's willing to sacrifice the other vampires just to get his son back. But then again knowing that he could just have them reincarnated, maybe he's okay with sacrificing the current them cause he can just make new bodies for the vampires.

Also wondering why Shika Madu kept remaking the Yuu from Ancient Greece. Did he realize there's something special about this new human? Did he realize that in a way, this was the human form of the homonculus eyeball (actually Angel Mika)? Or did he just think of making a human version of homonculus Yuu cause it'd be easier to experiment on something like him which he could just remake? I wonder if it's the reason why Yuu from Ancient Greece didn't have emotions while the new humans created in the past had personalities or seemingly could have one even before getting possessed by angels?

Also, Shika Madu's tragic backstory is enough to make Rigr sympathize or at least care about him though. I wonder how this would affect things as Rigr hated the First Progenitor and was willing to oppose him. How about now?

That ending there though. What did Ferid mean by "Have you looked into their memories?" when talking to Guren? Vampires have now been revealed to be able to read memories - Rigr and Shika Madu did so earlier and Ferid says he would at the end although I think I should've seen this coming since vampires turn into demons and demons have that ability. Does the question mean Guren also have that power? How?? Or is it Mahiru-no-Yo's power their talking about since she's now Guren's demon? Hmmm..... but then again, didn't they mention a connection between the Ichinose clan and Rigr?

Oh my god, so many questions! XD

I'm so glad I didn't end up taking too many photos cause tumblr had a photo limit for posts and I didn't hit that. Excited for the next chapter! Hope it's as fun as this one.

lets end this week with the other two idiots, hopelessly pining for each other, finally getting their shit together. so much kissing. very heavy on the love declarations lol. set about a year after That Damn Dress.

Somehow, they had ended up kissing again.

July had flown down to Florida to spend some time with Daria at her mother's house, and a few days in they were enjoying a relaxed evening in each other's company on the couch, just talking and laughing. And then Daria had suddenly mentioned how happy she was about July being here, and that she had missed her those last few weeks. And despite all her good intentions to finally get over her feelings for her best friend, July had leaned forward and kissed her. Again.

The first time they had both been pretty drunk, and agreed the next morning to just forget about it. The second time they had somehow found themselves alone at Mika's and Gabriel's wedding, and July had felt very emotional all day, and then Daria had complimented how lovely she looked, and she just kissed her without thinking. The realization that this might not be a great idea set in immediately, and she hastily apologized and basically ran off without another word, and they never talked about it. July had felt terrible about it for days, because technically she had a boyfriend at that time. And she cared about Aaron a lot, but eventually this relationship had just not worked out.

And now they were neither drunk, nor with anyone else… and still Daria pulled away after a few seconds.

"We shouldn't do this."

July sighed, feeling the need to apologize over and over. "I'm sorry, I…" She trailed off.

Daria rubbed her face and got up from the couch, she needed to bring some physical distance between them. "It's just… this is a bad idea."

"I love you." The words had left July's mouth, unplanned, and they both looked at each other like deer in headlights. The silence got painful, and she forced herself to continue talking. "And I know you don't feel the same, I just-" She stopped again, feeling her eyes well up. Fuck. Don't start crying now.

"Of course I have feelings for you," Daria countered, sounding sad. Defeated. "You are the only good thing in my life, how could I not."

Now July was really confused. She had always assumed Daria saw her as just a friend, that she wasn't interested in her like that. "Then why…?" She got up from the couch and stepped in front of Daria, basically forcing her to look at her. "Talk to me, please. Tell me what's wrong," she asked gently, getting lost in her eyes. How sad she looked right now…

"It is because I love you so much," Daria finally answered. "I need you to be happy. You deserve so much more than a broken old thing like me." She sighed, lowering her gaze.

July furrowed her brow, for the first time actually realizing how little her friend thought of herself. It broke her heart. She just wanted to hug her and never let go. "Daria, I am happy when I'm with you. You make me feel safe. You are the only person where I don't feel like I have to constantly hide parts of myself. You are… you are my person, and I can't even imagine my life without you." She hesitated for a moment. "You not having feelings for me - I could get over that eventually, as long as I still have you as a friend. But you pushing me away just because you think you're not good enough or something like that… I'm sorry, but that's bullshit," she asserted. Her voice got quiet again. "I love you. And I want to be with you."

Daria had listened silently, and now lifted her hand to stroke July's cheek. There was still so much sadness in her voice. "July…"

She didn't get around to continue the sentence, because suddenly July got on her toes and kissed her again, very gently. "This feels right, doesn't it?" she whispered. They both had their eyes closed, and instead of an answer this time it was Daria kissing her, equally gentle. Of course it felt right. It always did.

Daria finally opened her eyes again, cradling July's face in her hands. It seemed like an eternity until she finally spoke again. "Are you really sure about this? I don't think I could go back to-"

July interrupted her with another kiss. "I love you. And I belong with you. I always have."

Does Mika still trusts Yuu?

Something came to my mind after this new chapter was that, does Mika still trusts Yuu after all that happened?

Mika clearly betrayed by Yuu's perfect act of lie back on 115 even after he showed his the most pure emotions to him

And later he saw that Yuu can be generally a very good actor and liar after that when he killed Ashera, and even kinda celebrated his death not feeling any kind of guilty after that,

Like as Mika eat Ashera who was Yuu's desire, ok now it sounds super funny sorry Ashera lmao, he must clearly felt the poor demon's true feelings before his death and his deepest sadness and despair

And yet he found Yuu not even caring for that... And so I think now Mika realized that this Yuu isn't his Yuu and that's why I think Mika doubts if Yuu isn't actually Shikama's puppet now and doesn't work for him just like how Ashera stated and for sure Mika also heard that loud and sound,

Because yeah sure Yuu said he wants to have his own plan but Mika saw how Yuu can lie and act and manipulate people easily and in one word, he isn't also pure and a saint, too so could it be that Mika is now thinking about stopping Yuu by acting as if he is on his side but is actually not?! Yeah just like what Yuu did to him lol

As we clearly see and know Mika doesn't want to get revived like this by letting his family and beloveds to go and actually get sacrificed for him

so I am thinking now that what if Mika changed his mind about what he said before and now he is actually really thinking about possessing Yuu in order to stop him?!

And yeah so what if this is Mika the one who has his own plan and is secretly just observing Yuu so if he isn't the Yuu he knows can betray, possess and even leave him forever now?!

I feel same way about ons as you :') I got into it because of gureshin it's been long since I already lost interest alas. I was wondering what do you think of characters like guren shinoa mika & krul? I really liked them back then but now I'm really disappointed with how author wrote them since past few years & weirdly fandom still tries to act as if nothing wrong with them but "people didn't read correctly"

well guren, obviously i love guren. he's so sad and pathetic and tired and broken he's like a wet cat. the way he loves, the way he does terrible things and hates himself for it but does it anyway because he knows he has no other choice, it's so intriguing and painful. i love it. there's aspects that bother me when reading the novels, like when i cannot for the life of me grasp why he is doing what he's doing, or when he's being an arrogant asshole. but then i read the paragraphs my friends have written about him and love him with my whole heart again. i think they called it blorbo-in-law, that fits it quite well.

but i feel like i need to mention, i totally get why people got so mad with him recently. the way it was handled with the kids just immediately forgiving him again after one word was just... not good. i wasn't kidding when i said i wanted him to be more evil. it was a lot more exciting when him and mahiru first started that "let's betray everyone" stizzle and we weren't sure if he was actually going to harm anyone. it was serious, oh the suspense! now he's just our friend guren again. let him go batshit insane. please. he's not a saint, and he doesn't need to be.

at this point the only one i can trust to truly judge and be mad at him for more than half a panel is shinya. and that's a little odd. also he's currently in eeby deeby.

ohh shinoa! i used to like her a lot. it's only natural, i guess, since she is so similar to shinya. i always thought her to be a less extreme version of him - shinoa was also trained to be numb and hide herself behind jokes and smiles, but she seems to retain more of her emotions than he does. she's scared of dying, she's not much of a killing machine, and she is very much capable of developing actual romantic feelings for someone. wow, shinoa!

now, the problem is the toxic view of love that mahiru drilled into her head, and how the story will adress that, if at all. i don't mind her crush on yuu, it's her proof of not being dead inside or worthless or meant to be alone. but the way she acts on it is quite selfish. she's taking after her sister a little too much for my liking lately. "i will get yuu back, even if i have to kill mikaela to do it", alright miss mini mahiru. chill.

i would very much like someone to drill some sense into her head.

as for mika, he was my favourite for quite some time. i'm afraid i can't speak on him anymore, though, since he's kinda wiggled himself out of my field of interest. younger me would be going insane over his angel self... but now, i actually don't have anything to say about him. he exists. he's a massive scapegoat. i wish we could have seen him bond with shinoa squad.

krul is great solely because she's somehow the only female character who doesn't have a crush on some guy. hooray for vampirism! i don't have that many thoughts on her either, but i do adore her. she treated mika fairly well, she acted against vampire laws, she was more trustworthy than others. and god, that chapter where she was turned into a vampire was so awful, i loved it. more of an ashera-perspective probably, but still! as i've mentioned, i'm not a fan of her and all the black demons having been angels before, so i can't bring myself to look forward to their reunion as much as i used to. but i'd still like to see it.
