Let you break my heart again - Anakin x Jedi reader
masterlist.
Author’s note: hi. so uh. yeah I got a little silly and decided to write angst again. and wrote more than I was aiming for but that’s okay LMAO— Also omg THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE LOVE ON MY SWISS FIC?? you’re the best <3 Other things to note: Revenge of the Sith era Anakin but Anakin and Padmé aren’t married (they’re courting/dating), reader is a Jedi and has had a crush on Anakin since like the beginning of time /j, reader is majorly jealous of Padmé
Warnings: ANGST, unrequited love, hurt/comfort, Anakin uses a derogatory word for droids, no pronouns used for reader
Word count: 2114 words
Propped against a wall, you saw Anakin enter the Jedi temple, looking a bit disheveled. But  you knew he had just returned from a mission with Obi-Wan, so maybe it went terribly wrong, maybe it went really well.
You attempted to approach him, but Padmé had already beat you to it, like she always did. You felt a pang in your heart as you saw him hug her, longing to be in her place. Sadly, you knew it would never happen, with the looks they’d exchange with each other when they thought no one was watching. But you were. Finally, after what had seemed like forever, Padmé left to do her duties. You took this opportunity and rushed to him, your heart skipping a beat. “Hey.. how did it go?” You asked with a soft smile. Anakin nodded at you, then sighed. “Fine, I guess.. We didn’t really do much, just killed a bunch of clankers.” You caught yourself before making a face at him for using the derogatory word for droids; but you understood why he chose that word.
“Well.. I mean, at least it was.. good practice?” You giggled a bit, trying to cheer him up.
Anakin forced a light chuckle. “Yeah..” He said, looking off to the side, his mind somewhere else. You gave him a soft look. “Hey.. everything okay over there?” You asked kindly, your heart skipping a beat as he looked back at you. “No.. not really…” he admitted with a sigh. He seemed like he wanted to say more, but couldn’t find the right words. “..thanks for asking, though.” He added sincerely.
You furrowed your brows and studied his expression. “Hey, uh… do you want to go somewhere else and talk about it, perhaps?” You offered.
He thought for a moment and then nodded slowly. “Yeah, I could use… someone to talk to...”
“Alright, then. Wanna head to the library? It’s usually deserted at this hour..” You smiled at him, and Anakin perked up a little at the mention of it. “Yeah, actually… that’d be great.. there’s some new data I’ve been meaning to catch up on as well.”
You two slowly made your way to the library, finding a table in the very back. Anakin sat down on one of the old worn out chairs, staring into the oblivion. “I feel… different..” He mumbled, almost to himself. “What’s wrong?” You sat down next to him, tilting your head and studying his expression. You waited a few seconds before speaking up. “..is it about Padmé?” You question.
Anakin nodded. It was hard to explain, but he felt something. Something that both terrified him and excited him.
“How did you know?” Anakin asked. “Ahah.. lucky guess?” You smiled, then giving him a sympathetic look. “..is she okay? Are you two okay?”
Anakin sighed. "Yeah... I think we are." He put his head down, leaning his arms on the table.
“She's so beautiful…” Anakin whispered. “And she's smart.. And... caring... and... wonderful…”  Anakin trailed off, unknowingly breaking your heart with every word. “…You love her a lot… don’t you? Well, I bet my lightsaber she loves you a lot as well.” You tried to smile through the pain, asking the very question that could possibly break you, but you had to know.
Anakin looked up at you, a look of uncertainty on this face. “No, it's not that. I love her… it's just... It’s hard to describe.” Anakin said.
“But.. sometimes, I just feel like... I don't need this.” He looked away from you.
“This… this whole Jedi… thing. I don’t know if I want to be a Jedi anymore.” Anakin whispered, his words dripping with emotion. “I want something different.” He said hesitantly, looking back at you.
“…I see. What is it you want, exactly?” You whispered curiously. Anakin seemed to think for awhile.
“I don't want the Jedi Order, that's for sure.” Anakin said.
“I want freedom. I want... something... more. Something..." He trailed off.
“I want to be happy.” Anakin finally said, almost as if it was a confession. “But I'm... afraid.”
You nodded in understanding. You want freedom too, but not in the same way; you wanted to just be free from this unrequited love, to be free from this constant heartbreak…
“…why are you afraid?” You asked him softly.
Anakin stared at the table in front of him. “I don’t know, it’s just… if I let go of this… this Jedi thing…” He said, the word ‘Jedi’ having a slight hint of hatred in it. “..I’m not sure if I can become anything else. But at the same time… I don’t want this.” He continued, looking like he was on the verge of tears.
You nodded. “I understand. I really do..”
You so desperately wanted to reach out and hold Anakin's hand, to comfort him and tell him that everything will be okay as long as they have each other. But you couldn't. You weren’t Padmé.
“…I feel like I'm going insane…” Anakin whispered, his voice quiet and strained. He felt ashamed, but also somewhat relieved that he finally let it out.
“Sometimes I even think... I even thought…” Anakin trailed off.
“Never mind.” He said with a sigh.
“Wait, no.. you can tell me.. I promise I won’t tell anyone..” You reassured him.
He looked back up at you. “Sometimes… I have these… thoughts.”
You raised an eyebrow. “What kind of thoughts?” You asked gently.
“…Dark thoughts. Violent thoughts. Thoughts that could.. that could get me expelled from the Jedi Order.” Anakin finished, his voice strained. He looked at the table, and you did too. “…I see.” You finally reply, looking back up at him in sympathy. “…do you think it’ll affect you soon? Like…. You’re almost at your breaking point?”
Anakin took a deep breath and let it out. “I don’t know…” he answered.
“I don’t know what I’m capable of..” He continued, his voice starting to shake. You notice him slowly, hesitantly reach his hand over the table and rest it on yours, his fingers trembling.
You stared at your hand for a moment, then back at Anakin, feeling the pang in your heart again. Oh, if only he knew the pain he’d just caused… “Hey.. it’s okay, you’re strong… I know you can get through this. I know it.” You whispered to him, giving him a soft smile.
Anakin leaned his head against the table, keeping his eyes shut. “Can you… can you do me a favor..?” He asked quietly.
“Anything. Yeah.” You whispered immediately, ready to give your life for Anakin in a heartbeat if you were asked to do so.
Anakin sighed. “Can... can you promise to stick with me? No matter what? Like a Jedi and his Padawan?”
Anakin looked up at you. "Can... can you do that for me?" He asked. He looked like he was begging you for help.
You nodded. “Of course.. I’ll always be on your side, no matter what. I’ll always be here for you.” You whisper with a smile. Anakin looked up at you, tears starting to form in his eyes. “Thank you…” he whispered.
A moment later Anakin embraced you in a tight hug, a feeling of relief washing over him.
You tensed slightly, a blush forming on your face. The pang in your heart hit harder again, and you knew that this moment would haunt you forever.
Nevertheless, you placed a hand gently on Anakin’s chest and wrapped your other arm around his waist, hugging him tighter. “Shh… don’t cry..” You whispered, hating to see him in pain even though you were probably hurting even more than he was.
Anakin's words were muffled as he buried his head into your shoulder. It had been so long since someone had embraced him in a welcoming way.
“I’m… I'm scared…” Anakin whispered. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
You were the only thing grounding him to reality.
“Hey, it’s okay… you’ll be okay.” You whispered reassuringly, rubbing Anakin’s back soothingly. The longer the two of you hugged, the more it hurt you. But you couldn’t understand it. Why were you feeling so much pain when he was showing you affection? Isn’t this what you wanted?
Anakin lifted his head from your shoulder, looking back at you. He could feel his breath catching in his throat as he gazed into your eyes. Before he could even think, Anakin leaned in and softly kissed your lips. You could feel your cheeks get redder as he kissed you. Was this even real? You didn’t care; this was the happiest you’d ever been, almost as if you were in a trance. You kissed him back without hesitation, but then as quickly as the moment came, it was over; Anakin pulled away. Your eyes widened in realization as you snapped back into reality. Anakin seemed shocked as well, surprised by what he just did. “I….” He whispered, unsure of what to say.
You looked at him in horror, thinking of what Padmé would do if she ever found out.
“I… I’m sorry, I.. oh, no…”
Not thinking straight, you quickly got up and ran away from the library, tears starting to blur your vision.
“W-Wait! Come back!” Anakin called your name as he got up from the table, running after you.
“J-Just leave me alone, Ani…” you pleaded as you covered your mouth with your hand, a sob escaping your lips.
Anakin kept following you as you both raced down the halls, your footsteps echoing. Eventually he caught up with you and grabbed him by the shoulders. “No.. No, I won’t. Let me help you.” He said firmly as he took your hand and held it. “Please… you’re hurting me more than you realize..” You stared at him, tears starting to fall down your cheeks now. You wanted to pull your hand away, but you couldn’t find it in your heart to do so.
“No, I want to be by your side. Through thick and thin,” Anakin said with a slight smile. “Padmé means a lot to me, but you... you are very special to me as well.”
You looked away from him, taking in shaky breaths as more tears fell down your cheeks and you wiped them away before looking at him again.
“Wait.. so… y-you don’t love Padmé?” You asked slowly.
Anakin went red. “What? No no... I do love Padmé.” Anakin said, his voice getting a bit higher than he intended. Was he lying?
“But... I also love... I mean... uh…” Anakin was fumbling with his words. He wanted to say 'I love you,' but he didn't want to scare you. Anakin wasn't sure what he should do. He was stuck.
“Anakin.. don’t play games with me right now.” You pleaded.
“Do you love me, or her?” You asked bluntly, tears still falling down your cheeks, your eyes turning puffy.
Anakin took a deep breath.
“I… I choose... you.” Anakin said, looking at you.
For the first time since you had known each other, Anakin looked completely honest. He wasn't lying about anything. He looked at you with eyes of complete adoration.
"I choose... you." Anakin repeated.
You looked down at the ground, his words registering in your brain. “H-How do I know… you’re not lying to me right now to make me feel better?”
Anakin took his fingers and lifted your gaze. “Look me in the eyes,” Anakin said, and you did.
“I’m not lying to you, and I never will.” He said with complete honesty.
“You mean more to me than anyone in the galaxy.” Anakin's voice softened. "You are more important to me than even Padmé,” Anakin said, looking you right in the eye.
You looked at Anakin with a desperate expression, shaking your head.
“Oh, Ani…” You whispered, and before you knew it, you’d placed your lips on his again, this time full of passion.
Anakin wrapped his arms around you and kissed you back just as passionately as tears formed in his eyes. “I love you.” He whispered.
Hearing those words from Anakin’s lips melted your heart, and you felt tears forming in your eyes again, but this time from pure joy.
“I love you too.. Oh, Ani.. I’ve waited so long to hear you say that..” You whispered back, kissing him again.
Anakin kissed back, not wanting the moment to end. He embraced you as if you were the only thing holding him together.
It was like a fairytale come true.
Anakin finally felt happy. Really happy. He had you to thank for it, as well as his own courage to take a chance.
And now, you were finally with the one you loved.

10 fandoms, 10 characters, 10 tags
Basic rules: choose 10 fandoms that you are part of/support, and choose a favorite character from each of those. Then, tag ten folks!
Thanks for the tag @briar-ffxiv :3 idk how i'm supposed to pick a single favorite out of all these tho cries. Obvious fandoms are up top, but some (maybe. a little.) less common ones show up further down!
FFXIV // Alisaie Leveilluer
Tumblr media
I think she's one of the most dynamic characters in the series, and I love love love seeing her come out of her shell as the expansions go on. Her personal arc focuses so heavily on surviving grief and learning to keep an open heart even when faced with loss over and over again, and I appreciate how well that ties into the main storyline, too.
Fallout 4 // Piper Wright
Tumblr media
My wife <333 Piper's reckless go-gettem attitude and propensity for ruffling feathers on her quest to out the baddies really endeared me to her. Finding her soft heart under all the bravado and banter is really rewarding, and I love how committed she is to standing for her ideals, even if it means standing alone. Fo4 has such a cool setting to get immersed in overall, and I really do enjoy all the 50s/60s US tropes thrown into the mix with it.
Reth // Palia
Tumblr media
The epitome of making objectively horrible choices for arguably noble reasons. I love this walking disaster. He made me soup. I like how most of the Palia characters have more to them than meets the eye at first meeting, and how many ways they can surprise you as you build relationships with them. But gaining the disgraced pariah Reth's trust? Becoming someone he's brave enough to ask for help from? I treasure it above all the others LOL
Gale Dekarios // Baldur's Gate 3
Tumblr media
I'm NOT going to essay I'm NOT going to essay I'm not -- But seriously I do adore this guy's arc. I like how messy it is, even if in more subtle ways than, say, Astarion (ilu too boo.) Gale has so many "gifted kid" trademarks and strikes me as someone who's entire self worth has been based on how useful or interesting he is to others. It's hard to fault him for his ambition, when his magical prowess was the only avenue he had to make meaningful bonds up until the whole tadpole nonsense. BG3 exceeded my wildest expectations out of an RPG and continues to do so every time I pick it up.
Anders // Dragon Age II
Tumblr media
I feel obligated to say I don't really consider myself part of the DA fandom because every time I've poked my head in I've found it to be a wretched hive of scum and villainy with the most inane batshit discourse I've ever seen in my life. But the game itself? Love the game. Love the characters. Anders broke my heart. I really enjoyed his internal turmoil and the very literal ideological battle between justice and vengeance he faced throughout the game. I'll eat that up.
Obi-Wan Kenobi // Star Wars
Tumblr media
He's baby.
I definitely pick and choose which installations of the behemoth that is the Star Wars franchise to consider canon, and like Dragon Age I try not to actually get involved in fandom spaces. Ever. But I love Obi-Wan's story in the prequels especially, and if you've followed me very long I'm sure you know how much I like my hurt/comfort and angst, which he has in spades.
Halo 1-3, ODST, & Reach // The Arbiter
Tumblr media
I grew up on Halo and even have a little poseable model of this guy decorating my bookshelf. Halo's a shooter game first, of course, and I spent a good chunk of my childhood rerunning levels, and playing ninjanaut with friends on splitscreen. But its lore also fell into that sort of early TES space for me, where you had enough of an idea of the world for it to capture your imagination and inspire you, without being overwhelming to keep track of. The angst. The mystique. The badass alien with a glowing sword. 10/10. My Spartan OC is called Artemis and my brother has one named Ares and yes we did slay in PvP as teenagers.
Firefly // Simon Tam
Tumblr media
Choosing Firefly is predictable af but thats ok. It still makes me ache wishing we got to know more about the world, the characters - and maybe that unfinished homesick feeling is part of the appeal. I loved watching Simon be so out of his depth in the frontier of space, but willing to giving up everything for someone he cared about and learning to make a new place for himself with Firefly's motley crew.
Mizu // Blue Eye Samurai
Tumblr media
I was not prepared for this show to WRECK me like it did. I thought it was going to be a run of the mill cheesy samurai anime and GOD. The thoughtful, clever storytelling and dynamic characters knocked me on my ass. I couldn't stop watching. The cast is incredible, the art style is gorgeous. Every single aspect of this show ties into this theme of being caught between two worlds, and Mizu's story is one I am not going to forget any time soon. If you haven't watched this, you're missing out.
Mal // The Dog Master
Tumblr media
I'm not sure there's even really a FANDOM for this book. I haven't ever met anyone else who'd even heard of it, let alone read it. But a fandom can just be me, occasionally pitching it desperately to friends, right? XD The story follows several tribes, but the "main" character is Mal, who was kicked out of his tribe and survives partly by befriending a wolf and raising it. It's pretty cleverly written, with several timelines converging at unexpected moments to offer up plot twists and tie-ins that really wouldn't have been possible if it was written another way. I'm a little geeky about it just for the structural approach. But there's honestly not enough good caveman books out there, and this one has a wide cast of unique and interesting characters who feel very human.
--
I will tag @ronqueesha @bogglebabbles-main @sayonaramidnight @traveleorzea @orime-stories @silentletterwords @ellastara @rinka-fortemps @eriyu @jameswrites
And anyone else who wants to! I'd love to see your lists! But no pressure ofc <3

1/2 1/2 Pls talk more about your love triangle au! I’m so in love! Imagine Obi-wan, who has been in love with anakin for years, having to silently suffer as anakin regales him with more reasons why he & padme are perfect for one another. Anakin: “so turns out we have nothing in common, but! 1. Pads has curls! Like me! 2. She does her laundry on Tuesdays! Also like me!! 3. & she doesn’t /hate/ podracing & I love podracing!! SO!! (Or whatever the French 17th equivalent of podracing is).
2/2 Meanwhile Obi-wan: “I’ll keep all my emotions right here (in my poems), and then one day I’ll day 🙂”
Gladly, thank you!!! I'm so glad you're liking it because it's suddenly got a hold of me. I still don't know if I'll write it in its entirety because a) I have so many WIPs and b) it's not a time period I'm super familiar with. I know the broad strokes of 17th century France but I'm struggling with some of the details.
However, I did just write a little snippet from it. The backstory: Celebrated poet Obi-Wan used to be Anakin's tutor but now they are close friends. I toyed with making them the same age but the simple truth is that I'm really into older bearded Obi-Wan. So sue me! Here is the scene where Anakin devises his objectively terrible plan to win Padmé's heart.
Love triangle au (or whatever I'm calling it)
The doors to Obi-Wan’s study bang open in Anakin’s haste and he sighs at the sight that greets him. It’s a beautiful day outside: bright sunlight, flowers in bloom, birdsong whistling among the bustle of the streets.
And yet here is Obi-Wan, as always, hunched over his writing desk in nothing but trousers and a loose linen shirt with his windows shuttered and his eyes fixed on the paper before him.
This cannot stand, not when Anakin needs him so desperately. “Obi-Wan,” Anakin says reproachfully. “I have to talk you.”
“Can it wait?” Obi-Wan asks, scratching at his paper. “I’m nearly done this verse.”
“It cannot,” Anakin declares. “Obi-Wan: I’m in love.”
That has Obi-Wan glancing up from his manuscript. “What?”
Obi-Wan looks shocked, Anakin thinks, or maybe confused. His eyes are wide and very blue and he seems not to notice a bead of ink dripping off the end of his quill to spatter on the paper beneath it.
Anakin can understand the confusion. He’s never shown any particular interest in anyone before. He can acknowledge Aayla’s famous beauty or Rex’s rugged handsomeness but he’s never felt that spark, that warmth and longing and adulation that the poets say comes with romance.
Until now.
“With Padmé Amidala,” Anakin continues, and Obi-Wan rolls his eyes and turns back to his now messy page.
“Yes, Anakin, I remember. You were nine years old. She gave you a blanket and smiled prettily and you thought that was the same thing as—”
“But that’s just it,” Anakin interrupts, perhaps rudely. He cannot find it in himself to mind, not while he’s bursting with love and needs Obi-Wan, his dearest, most beloved friend, to share in it. “She’s back in town!”
Obi-Wan’s quill twitches between his fingers. “Oh?”
“Yes! Her sister is getting married and so the whole Amidala family came to celebrate. I had been training in the yard—”
“That does rather explain the smell.”
“—when I saw her. She looks exactly as I remembered when I was a boy. Like a princess, Obi-Wan, or an angel.” Anakin sighs wistfully and drops down to the soft red rug by Obi-Wan’s feet. “I even got to talk to her.”
Obi-Wan shifts so that his knee is no longer brushing Anakin’s shoulder. “Oh yes? What did you say?”
Anakin twists until he can lean his head against Obi-Wan thigh and peers up at him, upside down. “Well, I introduced myself, again, because she didn’t recognize me at first because of how much I’ve grown.”
Obi-Wan hums and Anakin feels it against his skull. “You are a great deal taller than you were at nine.”
Anakin laughs and smiles up at Obi-Wan. “Thankfully, or else my only sparring partner would be old Master Yoda.”
“You could do worse,” Obi-Wan replies, a smile in his voice.
“But after she realized who I was she very kindly asked about my studies and my training and so I asked her how she had spent the last eleven years and she told me about her family’s travels and how they’d been to the sea and I said I hoped she didn’t get any sand in her belongings because it’s impossible to get rid of, and I should know, and then—”
“And then?”
“Well, she was with her friend who said they really did have to hurry to make their next engagement. So she said her goodbyes and said she hoped we’d see each other again.”
Obi-Wan stares down at him and his eyebrows draw together, causing a funny little crease between the auburn hair. “That’s it?”
Something in Obi-Wan incredulous tone has Anakin huffing, suddenly defensive. “What’s wrong with that?”
“You had a two minute conversation with a woman you knew for a few hours over a decade ago, and on that basis you believe yourself to be in love?”
“Believe? I am in love!”
Obi-Wan scoffs. “I’m sure she’s beautiful. I’m sure she’s elegant. But what about her mind? Her soul? What does she do for fun, Anakin? Do you know her favourite songs? Her favourite poems?”
“You know I don’t care much for poetry,” Anakin says, bristling. Other than Obi-Wan’s, of course. As a rule he finds the medium too opaque, too layered in hidden meanings that Anakin cannot dream of parsing. “And anyway, what does that matter? I’ll have plenty of time to learn her favourite songs once we’re married.”
“Once you’re—Anakin, you cannot be serious. You’re only a boy.”
“A boy?” Anakin draws away from the warmth of Obi-Wan’s legs to kneel up and face him, outraged. “A boy? I’m twenty years old, Obi-Wan. I’ve seen combat. I’ve seen death. I know what I want, and I want her.”
Obi-Wan swipes a hard across his face and a lock of hair flops down to meet it. “I know, of course you do. I apologize. But Anakin, you can learn these important things during courting, perhaps. Why don’t you arrange to meet Lady Amidala and get to know her. Discover the woman beyond the soothing angel of your childhood.”
Anakin wants to bite back that he doesn’t need to know more about Padmé because she’s already perfect, already the most beautiful, kindest person who has ever lived.
But maybe Obi-Wan has a point. Padmé deserves to be wooed, doesn’t she? If Anakin is going to be her husband he needs to first demonstrate his suitability. They’re soulmates, surely, but there’s propriety to keep in mind, and Padmé is a lady.
“Fine,” Anakin agrees, slumping down. “How do I do that?”
Obi-Wan settles back in his chair. “How do you declare your intention to court her?”
“No, well, yes, but how do I actually woo her? What kinds of things do women like?” Obi-Wan is older and Anakin knows he’s had dalliances before. He knows what it meant when Obi-Wan showed up to their lessons slightly rumpled and smelling of perfume.
He hasn’t noticed that recently but then, Obi-Wan has been rather busy of late, throwing himself into his work. His most recent poem is still the talk of the town, a story of two tragic lovers kept apart by fate.
“How—Anakin, I know I was your tutor for a decade,” Obi-Wan says, frowning down at him. “But this really goes beyond what Master Qui-Gon wanted me to teach you.”
“Please? You’re well-liked,” Anakin says, biting his lip even as he says it. Obi-Wan is universally adored. He’s popular at court, with the other knights, with the servants, even with his rivals. “I just want her to like me.”
Obi-Wan’s gaze softens, just slightly. “I’m sure she does,” he says, and then stares up at the ceiling. “Just…talk to her about your interests. Your beliefs. Ask her about hers. Try to compliment her dress, Lady Amidala is well-known for her bold fashions.”
Anakin tries and fails to remember what she was wearing in the courtyard. He thinks it was blue, maybe? “I can do that.”
“Be personal, but not too personal. Compliment her wit, her beauty, but be sincere. Tell her—I don’t know, tell her why you like her, specifically. Anything you tell her will be fine, as long as it’s honest.”
Anakin cocks his head. “She reminds me of my mother.”
Obi-Wan blinks, once, and then heaves a sigh. “I stand corrected. You absolutely cannot tell her that.”
“I don’t mean it like that,” Anakin whines, falling forward and burying his face in the rough fabric of Obi-Wan’s breeches. “My mother was sick and I was so scared, so alone, and then Padmé was there and she was so beautiful, so shining—”
“Yes, I know, like an angel.” Obi-Wan’s hand tentatively drops down to Anakin’s damp, tangled curls. “Tell her that, then. Without comparing her to your mother.”
Anakin’s brow creases and he pushes back into the gentle pressure of Obi-Wan’s touch. “But I’m not well-spoken like she is,” Anakin complains, throwing an arm over his eyes. “Or like you. I can’t—”
Hang on.
Anakin looks up at Obi-Wan, who is saying something, and thinks. That's an idea, isn't it?
“—romance is about more than pretty words," Obi-Wan is saying, when Anakin bothers to listen again. "It’s about fundamental compatibility, about waking up every morning and looking forward to nothing more than your beloved’s company and their smile, about knowing that you’ve found—” Obi-Wan stops and purses his lips. “Why are you looking at me like that?”
“Padmé is clever and well-read,” Anakin says slowly. “She has an eye for beauty.”
“Yes, Anakin, but yours cannot be the—”
“—and an ear for it, I’d wager.” Anakin looks up at Obi-Wan, his mind racing. Obi-Wan is one of the most celebrated poets in the land. His verses win prizes, are quoted amongst the court, are passed around by the other knights who pretend they aren't moved, even as their eyes stream with tears. “She would love a poem dedicated to her,” Anakin finishes, eyeing Obi-Wan’s manuscript meaningfully.
Obi-Wan fails to hide a grimace. “Maybe, but you really have other strengths. Why not…sing to her? You have a lovely voice.”
“No,” Anakin says, shaking his head. “I need your help.”
“I spent ten years trying to teach you how to write, Anakin, I don’t know what you think I could possibly—”
“Not teach me,” Anakin corrects, pressing into Obi-Wan’s space fully now. “Help me. You know I have no talent for pretty words, Obi-Wan, you’ve read my compositions. But if you were to write something, on my behalf, mind, and I could present it to her…” Anakin pauses, lets Obi-Wan process—
Obi-Wan exhales heavily. “I’m not going to help you trick her, Anakin.”
“It wouldn’t be tricking!” Anakin objects. “The sentiment would be true, the compliments, the feeling behind it. Just the actual words would be yours. She’d never need to know but she’d be so impressed, she’d finally see me as the man I am now, as her equal.”
“Anakin,” Obi-Wan says again. “I just don’t think it’s a very good idea.”
It’s the best idea Anakin has ever had. Why can’t Obi-Wan see that? Anakin’s words aren’t clever enough for an angel like Padmé, but Obi-Wan’s? Padmé would have no choice but to be swept off her feet. “Please?” Anakin begs, “haven’t you ever been in love?”
Obi-Wan’s cheeks colour delicately and he averts his eyes. “That isn’t the point.”
“But it is,” Anakin insists, pushing closer until Obi-Wan’s thighs dig into his shoulders and the rug bunches up under his knees. “Remember how you felt then? How you’d do anything for her, how her happiness was the only thing that mattered. That’s how I feel now, that’s why I need you, Obi-Wan.”
“You don’t need me—”
“I do,” Anakin says, solemnly, and then tilts his chin so he’s looking up at Obi-Wan through his eyelashes, begging with his eyes like he did when he was a boy and he wanted Obi-Wan to let him do his lessons outside.
Maybe Obi-Wan’s thinking of those days too because his eyes go soft and hazy. “Anakin,” he says, like the repetition of his name alone will convince him of his folly. “It’s unwise.”
“Just one or two poems,” Anakin pleads, letting his eyes go big and sad, letting his lips settle into a pout. “Just to break the ice with her. I promise that’s it, just a few. You’d make me incomparably happy, Obi-Wan, if you’d lend me your gifts. I’d be forever in your debt, if you were the cause of my everlasting bliss.”
“Anakin—”
“Please,” Anakin says once more, desperately. “For me.”
Obi-Wan’s eyes flutter shut and his hand drifts to Anakin’s forearm. “Fine,” he breathes. “Fine. But just a couple. Just until you—”
But Anakin doesn’t wait to hear the end of that sentence. He scrambles up from the floor and throws himself into Obi-Wan’s chair, which rocks back on two legs for a moment before settling down with a creak under their combined weight.
“Thank you,” Anakin says, nuzzling against Obi-Wan’s scratchy beard. “Thank you so much, Obi-Wan. You’re such a good friend, such a good man. I just know this is going to go perfectly.”
Obi-Wan’s hands settle against Anakin’s waist and he sighs into Anakin’s messy hair. “I’m glad you think so,” he says, resignation in his voice. “I, for one, have a bad feeling about this.”

For the fanfic writer ask game:
10. How do you decide what to write?
Oh, that is a GOOD question.
Because to tell the truth, I have no idea. 9 times out of 10, I get slapped in the face by the ghosts of thousands of authors who have gone before me, passing along mysterious, otherworldly inspiration.
Okay, serious now. It totally depends. One time I watched a truly moving fan edit on the youtube and thought to myself . . . . I could write that. That's where Until the Night is Over came from.
Another time I seriously was reminiscing on this insane evening I spent square dancing and half-falling in love with my dance partner, and I thought, the dousy girlies would love this, and thus was born And I Dealt My Heart.
Then, I was watching the Obi-Wan series and got totally pranked by the creators into thinking, surely Cal Kestis must show up at some point. There's absolutely no way he wouldn't. And yeah, the showrunners are cowards and idiots, so I of course had to remedy that with Last Hope.
Basically, inspiration comes from anywhere and everywhere. One time I stared at the blue sky too long and felt a fic leak out my fingertips. Ice skating will often do that to me. Something about feeling totally free and unencumbered by everyday life. Or watching a show with a pairing that I thought got totally cheated by canon (ahem Rachel and Joey cough), or a random tumblr writing prompt, or a certain theme or motif I feel a certain way about (more often than not, it's found family), or space dads and their kids being way too adorable, or just needing a good dose of hurt/comfort because I need to remember that you can be okay again after a tragedy, or literally sometimes it's just something I laughed about and thought, I could build a fic around that.
Actually, speaking of taking inspiration from literally anything, my fic Are We Too Young For This? was inspired by that one line in Hamilton that goes, "And just like that, it's over. We tend to our wounded, we count our dead." Along with that one line from Softcore by The Neighborhood: "Are we too young for this? Feels like I can't move."
If I could explain more of where my inspiration comes from, maybe I'd be a better writer. Because very often my whole fic is based on a flash of something, some vibe or some lyric or some fleeting emotion that I can't pin down but is begging to come out in word form. But alas, I'm stuck with just trying to convey all that in just a mere few thousand words.
Anyway. There's your glimpse into my soul for the day :)
Thanks so much for the ask, my friend!! <3

Thanks for answering my ask....If you don't mind me asking (again), what are your top 10 (or top 5) favorite media (can be books/ manga/ anime/movies/tv series)? Why do you love them? Sorry if you've answered this question before......Feel free to answer whenever you want to (or not). Thank you so much....
(You asked this a little bit ago and I put it in my drafts as a “I’ll finish this later” sort of thing then forgot until this morning, sorry)
1. Hyouka. It’s a mystery anime. There’s a manga as well, but I never got very far into it. The animation is really pretty, but the main draw for me was the mc Houtarou Oreki. The way he just doesn’t want to be there and also would like nobody to talk to him. Despite this, he’s friends with the exact opposite? And good friends. What a guy. Also, the mysteries are very fun to piece together.
2. Natsume Yuujinchou. I’ve always really liked this anime, and the manga. I like Natsume Takashi, the main character, and I also really like his grandmother, Natsume Reiko, who kind of acts as a secondary main character? She caused the whole plot to happen. I like how many people and yokai mistake Natsume for his grandmother, and the running theme of Natsume finally finding friends. It was also the first manga that ever made me cry, so it holds a special place in my heart.
3. MXTX’s novels. All three of them. I love the characters and I love the romances and I love the plots. I love the side characters! I can’t think of an author who has ever made me so invested in side characters before! I read them all for different reasons, so I don’t really have a favourite among them, but if I was held at gunpoint, I’d say Scum Villain is my favourite. Because I associate it with the colour green, and I like the colour green.
4. Moomins. I just… everything is so soft. And warm. And kind. Even when the characters are beinng objectively terrible, I just want to pat their heads and sigh wistfully. It’s definitely my comfort show. I occasionally watch clips from the nineties show just to cheer myself up again. I love Snufkin because his lines are amazing and I, too, would like to wander the world as a lone vagabond. (The whole conversation of “I made those footprints.” “What? How?” “With these big ol boots I found.” “Why are you wearing them?” “To see what life is like in someone else’s shoes.” “What’s it like?” “Uncomfortable.” I love every moment, I quote “uncomfortable” all the time)
5. Detective Conan (and Magic Kaitou) I love this series. I love the comedy of the most intelligent teenager alive being shrunk into a miniature. I love the drama. I love the characters, all twelve billion of them. I love that the twists are always so weird. I absolutey, positively adore the Kaitou Kid episodes! Something about little itty bitty Conan facing an international jewel thief… I also love the movies! I haven’t seen all of them (my attention span…) but my favourites are the Lupin III crossovers! And, of course, the best movie is the Lost Ship in the Sky, because it has the funniest scenes of anything ever. When Kaitou Kid (disguised as Shinichi) and Conan just leap out of a helicopter? I love them so much…
6. Encanto. I’ve watched this movie about 3-5 times (an impressive feat for me I promise) and every time the Abuela says “the miracle is not some magic that you’ve got, the miracle is you, not some gift just you” I cry actual tears. And I get major siblings feelings from all of it. It’s so good
7. Star Wars, specifically prequel-era and Original Trilogy-era. I love Anakin Skywalker. The most dramatic man to ever. And I love Luke Skywalker. And I love Leia. And Han, and Chewie, and Lando, and Obi-Wan (Obi-Waaaaannn 🫠) and just the majority of characters. I really enjoyed reading the Thrawn Trilogy because I found Mara Jade to be the funniest comedic foil to Luke. Luke is just vibing. Mara is like “You were stabbed fifteen seconds ago, what-“ Love the chaos duo Luke and Leia, who can’t go anywhere together because they attract misfortune but also can’t go anywhere apart because they attract misfortune. I love longsuffering Han who didn’t really realize that marrying Leia meant marrying Luke too. I have never watched the sequels, and I don’t really want to. I just wanna live in my lil bubble 👍
8. Resident Evil series. I’m counting the games here because I own exavctly zero consoles that run Resident Evil games and so I mostly just watch longplays, but I love the series. (One day I’ll be the Master of Unlocking… one day… when I have… more money…) I really like Ethan Winters because he reminds me of a kicked dog. I like Jill Valentine the mostest because I really like that her responses to all the weird comments Barry makes are just her laughing and agreeing. I like Chris Redfield because Wesker reveals his huge evil plan and Chris immediately starts laughing and Wesker gets actually upset that he isn’t taking him seriously. I like Ada Wong. She rocked in to Raccoon City to “find her boyfriend” (code for: do spy shit) in a dress and, like, tights? They could be leather pants, the graphics aren’t that clear, but I’m not sure? Her whole outfit in RE2 is amazing. Oh, and I like the horror elements too, the monster designs are so gross! 10/10!
9. Various DC comics. Namely, Batman, Robin, Young Justice, Swamp Thing, etc. I talk about Batman and Robin and all them a lot, but I really enjoy Swamp Thing! I never knew that it was a horror comic until I read it (I suppose it would have been logical to assume it was, but still) and I like him! He’s very cute. Squishy. I want to lay on him and tell him he’s doing a great job. I like the little mini Swamp Thing that grew after he was “killed” it’s so little!!!
10. Fire Emblem. I’m including another game series because I love Fire Emblem a lot. I have played so many hours of so many games (Tokyo Mirage Sessions crossover is underrated and everyone should play it and gush about it with me because Mamori runs a cooking show when she has no idea ow to cook!!! I love her!!!) I have wasted so much money on the mobile game (stop looking at me) I absolutely love this series! My favourites are Marth and Henry (FE:A) I love Marth, he is so… himself :) and I love Henry! He was raised by wolves! He converses with crows! He proposes with a cursed ring! He carries around monster parts just for funsies! He is the cutest little murder bean in the world! Fire Emblem Awakening got me into the series as a whole, and I have never been the same (side note: I also love Corrin, because they are a himbo whether male or female. I also love Robin, because they appear very reasonable and are tacticians and are very intelligent and they are also completely feral in weird ways and I like it a lot. I love Byleth, the best teacher who does not have a heartbeat and didn’t cry when they were born and doesn’t know how to emote)
This turned out longer than I expected, but I hope it’s what you were looking for.

i’ve read and loved a whole ton of your clone wars fics. your ahsoka after the war, with obi-wan and rex on tatooine, always resonated with me more than i’d have liked her to. but there is hope in that story of yours, in your words. the galaxy had not forgotten all its children. if i were someone who liked tattoos i’d get that on my cheek. your words have helped so many people across the world you don’t know of. we have laughed and cried along with these characters, in the ghost of a computer screen. thank you for writing and sharing, is what i’m trying to say. it means a lot. i’ve followed you for a long time, seen a lot of your life through your tumblr posts. becoming a lawyer sounds incredibly exhausting, even if you want to be there. i guess i just want to say- even if wasn’t your intention, your fics have done wonders for some people in the world. the fact that you’re devoting so much to a job that helps people seems fitting. but… i don’t know. i hope that you’re doing okay, is all. not burnt out. enough time. enough sleep. companionship. you’ve healed my heart over and over in your words. i hope that your heart knows that, and is granted the time to rest. is what i’m trying to say. i guess. thank you for everything<3
aaah, anon . . . :'))
thank you so much for your kind words! the clone wars is still so close to my heart, and you captured so much of how much . . . i really, really wanted to convey that same message to people. about not being alone and not forgotten, so i'm very touched by your words.
thank you for following me along my life for all this time--i still see people who started to know me from the clone wars as perhaps the people who know me best and who know me most, just because i think the person i am when i'm writing clone wars fics or talking about clone wars is perhaps the one that remains very true to who i am as a whole, what with the clone wars being a show i loved as an eight year old and then as a thirteen year old and as an eighteen year old and as a twenty year old, right at the height of covid. (and even now, at twenty three.)
so! thank you for following along with me. i am glad that my fics have offered some comfort, because i started writing clone wars fic specifically to offer people comfort when i felt i could have really used a friend of my own. and thank you for :') the kind words regarding lawyering--it's definitely a journey so far, and it has its harder moments, but :')) kind messages like these really make my day, if not my whole month. thank you for giving me that much kindness, anon!

Director's Cut of Recollection please!!!
Ahhh Chel, thank you so much for asking about "Recollection": this fic is really precious to me.
Asks are from this director's cut meme.
The first idea for this fic came from thinking about how much I loved Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind back in the day and then being struck by the possibility that a lot of the questions that film asks about memory and identity and loss and grief might be interesting to think about in a Purge Trooper Cody context, in which Cody revisits his memories as they're being wiped by reconditioning and eventually comes to a point where he, like Joel in ESotSM, has to decide whether he wants to let the memories go or hold onto them, even without hope that it will change anything about his material situation.
I think the premise stuck in my mind in part because I knew it would be so complicated and difficult to write - and because I wasn't sure I actually had the skill to pull it off. And for that reason, the resulting fic has stayed very close to my heart, because I tried a whole lot of things that pushed me, including:
So many descriptions of scenery and physical environments doing uncanny shit (and I am not very confident about writing setting)
Crafting extra-canon scenes for Codywan and for Cody that both (1) stood on their own as moments that would have shaped Cody into the character he is, and (2) fit into the non-linear flow of the story unfolding in the present. Bonus fact: I did end up cutting some of the initial ideas I had for these memories - including a post-Kadavo scene and a scene on Kamino with Rex - because they did the first thing but didn't work for the second thing.
Managing some big and abrupt shifts in tone, from hijinks to hella bleak (see bonus fact below)
My first smut! This was a huge, huge barrier for me as a writer for a long time, and I was both terrified and elated to throw myself over the hurdle in this fic. Bonus fact: the masturbation scene in chapter three was one of the first ones I wrote for the fic. I started writing it during a sprint session, having no idea where it was going, and it ended up landing on one of my all-time favorite lines.
Final bonus fact: I chose the title for this fic because I like the doubleness of "recollection" and "re-collection," especially in relation to the scene where Cody helps Obi-Wan pull him out by gathering pieces of his memories together.
Thank you very much for the ask, Chel!!! This was a delight. <3<3<3

SW Suddenly-Omegaverse AU: Surrogacy, Worldbuilding, Obi-Mom
Truly the main irony of all this is that everyone considers Obi-Wan the Better Omega but Anakin is the one who's actually 👀👀👀 about pregnancy
Obi-Wan: I have the deepest respect for those who do it, but the idea of growing another person inside of me is weird and gross, no, thank you.
Meanwhile Anakin is like. Immediate baby fever. Someone actually approaches him like "hey... there are forms you can fill out to request an exception for pregnancy, and like... regulations" because he's that obvious about it.
I assume that if they've got safety nets for accidental pregnancies, then they're probably aware that there are people who want to do it on purpose? I feel like in an omegaverse where 'biological imperative to procreate' can be so much more intense, then maybe there's old precedent that stuck around even after suppressants got most of those hormones under better control.
Bit torn. Just know I want Anakin to Make Baby.
"Anakin, what are you--" "Do you think offering to be someone's surrogate would be acceptable to the council as a way to be pregnant without getting attached." "...what." "They'd probably accept that as a way to practice not getting attached, right?" "N...no, that's not... what?"
Anakin approaching Bail and Breha and being like “Do you... still want a kid? I would provide a kid. Do you want one here*?”
* in this dimension
Great way to give up the baby as a parent because he'd still be able to see them once in a while but also like... it's not HIS kid, technically. He can be a cool uncle who happened to give birth, which is distant enough to not be 'attached,' but close enough that his Tatooine-raised 'must ensure family is safe whenever possible' background doesn't flip out. It helps that 'Core World Royalty' is like... a top-tier family to be raised in.
(It would have to be post-war because he probably shouldn’t be risking his life while very pregnant. He needs to be reminded of that sometimes.)
Bail/Breha is an alpha/alpha relationship and while a pregnancy is still possible,* it’s a whole lot more difficult, and that's on top of Breha's canon medical issues that resulted in her heart and lungs getting replaced.
* AFAB alphas can get pregnant, and AMAB omegas can inseminate, but the success rate on that angle is much lower than the 'traditional' alpha/omega roles, as is any attempt at reproduction outside rut/heat. They're low-fertility overall for the non-dominant aspect of their reproductive system, which... ha, Anakin and Obi-Wan try to get explanations for why the senary system works the way it does, but it's a very longform history lesson that comes down to 'idk this got cemented so long ago that nobody really knows why anymore.'
AKA "why do you title these roles male omega and female alpha instead of intersex omega and intersex alpha since both parties have both genitals."
ANYWAY
Anakin: I want to make babies. But I don't want to get kicked out of the order. But I don't want to give up my own babies for adoption. But I can't keep my own babies if I want to stay a Jedi. So basically I want to have someone else's babies? Anakin: ...wait shit that's just surrogacy.
Anakin, calling up Obi-Wan: Hey are the Organas still struggling to have a kid? Obi-Wan: ...not really your business. Anakin: You're friends with Bail again though, right? Obi-Wan: I am, but-- Anakin: Do you think they'd want me to be a surrogate? Obi-Wan: What.
I can't decide if it's funnier for the Order to be like "I mean... technically there's no rules against this?" or if this is a precedent set by at least three omegas every generation because that's just how a/b/o manifested for omegas in a biological and cultural sense.
Bail: Wait, your former apprentice is... volunteering... to be our surrogate. Obi-Wan, exhausted: Yes. Bail: He barely knows us. Obi-Wan: He respects you and you're the closest people he knows that want a child and would be good parents. Bail: And he's just... volunteering? Obi-Wan: Yes. Also, you did say your primary worry was that a surrogate might be targeted for assassination and you couldn't ask someone to risk that, right? Anakin is very much able to avoid assassins, and would be staying primarily in the Temple anyway. Very safe, and not particularly scared of assassins in the first place. Bail: Your words say you approve, but your tone says otherwise. Obi-Wan: Anakin considers me his father. I'm not old enough to be a grandparent. Bail: Ah.
Anakin is a surrogate and enjoys it and everything is fine and then like a year later he's accidentally pregnant with his own and Rex's kid, and nobody knows how to ask if it's actually an accident.
A suggestion from @gelpenss:
OH MAN i.... have to drive home. But I just had a thought about like. I always want to poke at Betas in A/B/O like are they “normal” or different from our standard or.... but ANYWAY assuming they have a pheromonal thing I just think it would be neat if betas had the ability to be the Bucket of Cold Water. Like if caught early enough, and with the caveat it’s not permanent, a beta could arrest a rut or heat in its tracks until a more ideal time. Like. They aren’t birth control. But they are the remind me later button.
Okay done driving I am Returned to bring up why I brought up betas and it’s this: well okay 1. It plays nice with a popular but inaccurate dog breeding urban legend that female dogs will like, delay heat cycles? so that the bitches above them in pack hierarchy have first choice of mate selection. And I think in omegaverse it would be cool if that was a Bio Fact, and also historically enforced by the third designation. 2. It gives me an excuse to have betas have the Most Sensitive sense of smell because it’s their “job” to pick up on things before they go too far to be put on pause. 3. I’m just thinkin ‘bout a beta clone [...] just hovering around Obi-Wan because they found out how much stress his heat cycle causes and they’re like “okay cool I will help make sure it does Not”
I want to like a/b/o verses but betas niggle at me. I want to give them a hat and a Function that woulda helped before modern medicine.
I'm not sure how I feel about betas being able to delay heats, but I do like the idea of them having a more sensitive sense of pheromone smell than most. Most aliens assume it's omegas with the best sense of smell, and betas with the worst, but it's more complicated than that because they all specialize: Alphas are actually less attuned to pheromone smells, but more attuned to things that were useful back when humans were still a hunter-gatherer species. Omegas tend to be heightened towards danger smells like fire or aggression, and pheromones relating to children/care. Betas, as suggested above, are very sensitive to pheromone changes relating to mood and behavior of the community around them.
I like the idea that betas were historically the ones that ended up taking care children, unmated omegas, and so on during people's heats and ruts, because they kept their heads about themselves long enough to do things like cook and clean while someone was reeking of hormones. The checks and balances work out that betas may have lower fertility, but it makes them better able to support the network around them.
It works in with humanity's general collective history of thriving the most when working as a community.
Given that I decided that this is Jangobi, the clones might all subconsciously view Obi-Wan as Mom. Not intentionally, but, you know... Obi-Wan the not-evil stepmother. He doesn't know how he got into this situation, but he sure is here, and he sure as hell doesn't know how to get out.
Obi-Wan "I don't need to get pregnant, I have three million stepchildren" Kenobi
I definitely love "clones all want to make Obi-Wan's heats less stressful" but like in a different way from Whatever The Fuck Anakin's Got Going On.
Obi-Wan using the force to dull the pain in a Shiny's broken leg while the medic works on it and the Shiny just mumbles "Thanks mom" and everyone gets very embarrassed and pretends it didn't happen.
But then it happens again. And again.
Obi-Wan asks for an explanation from Cody and gets a halting response that, since Jango is technically their father, and his scent has been all over Obi-Wan recently... and Obi-Wan puts in a lot of effort to take care of them all.......
Anakin overhears the clones calling Obi-Wan "mom" and just. The most judgmental eyebrow raise.... Mostly in the sense of "You never let me call you dad" "Thought you said you weren't anyone's parent." "Hey, hey, Obi-Wan. What the fuck."
BOBA. BOBA ABSOLUTELY CALLS OBI-WAN MOM WHENEVER POSSIBLE. IT'S DEEPLY FRUSTRATING.
Obi-Wan eventually manages to admit that he's uncomfortable with it at minimum because of the gendering the word has for him, can they at least use the neutral 'buir' instead?
Word spreads like fire, takes like two days max for everyone to switch.
(Anakin demands cuddles as compensation for not getting to call Obi-Wan any true parental term for years.)

Omg I love your Outsiders headcanons! I looked in the tags and I would love for you to tell us more! (if you want to no pressure whatsoever!)
omg hello! thank you so so so much, honey! 💕 this made me smile so much! I wasn't expecting anyone to be interested in my headcanons! I am so happy you liked them! and yes of course, I will share more with you right in this moment <3
I don't know if you had any of the boys in mind or if you just wanted more general headcanons so I will add a few more about all of them!
Darry
He loves coffee, a lot. He also enjoys tea, specially if it's black tea, but coffee is his favorite drink to go. He loves black coffee too, mostly because he prefers bitter tastes to sweet ones, but will pretty much drink anything that is made of coffee. Except most of the Starbucks drinks that Soda enjoys, which are "pure sugar and no coffee" in Darry's words.
He loves Star Wars. His most precious possession is an Obi-Wan Kenobi figure his dad gifted him for his 11th birthday. He still keeps it in a safe place. He has seen every new generation Star Wars movie in theaters right in the night of the premier. He takes Ponyboy with him and they spend their way back home discussing everything about it.
Has a tattoo on his ribcage. It might look like a series of random numbers because there is no separation amongst all the digits, but they're actually the birthdates of all the Curtis family members.
Two-Bit
Has gone to various open mic nights to listen to new future comedians and tends to drag Johnny and Ponyboy with him. The rest of the boys are always supporting him and encouraging him to participate. He hasn't tried yet but he knows he will one day.
Gets very excited when a new animation movie premiers. He loves watching documentaries about the animation's making off and pays a lot of attention to the details. One of his favorite animated movies so far has been Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
He has the ability to fall asleep anywhere and once he fell asleep in a Target. Darry and Sodapop spent two hours looking for him and almost had a heart attack.
Steve
Uses Twitch a lot. He usually watches other people stream but sometimes, when he's in the mood, he streams his own content. At first, the only views he received came from Soda, Dally and Pony but with time he got a few nice hundreds following him.
He has almost all the types of driving licenses that exist. He can even drive a bus if he wants. He dreams with learning how to fly a plane one day.
Has many tattoos and one of them matches with Soda. It's a Stick-and-Poke tattoo and they got it secretly when they were fifteen. The work wasn't very good and it looks half-chipped, but Steve always looks at the little Cadillac line art on his hip and smiles.
Sodapop
Can dance, like, really dance. He's not very into the whole disco and party scene but he used to watch movies and imitate the dances at home. He was so good and liked it so much that his parent had to sign him up for some urban dance lessons. He used to want to be just like the Step Up characters (and he still wants to, but is too embarrassed to admit it.)
Has a playlist for everything. Driving? He has one. Jogging? He has one. Sleeping? He has one. Cooking? He has one. Showering? He has six. Sneaking inside the school at night with Steve and Dally to cover all the corridors with toilet paper? Well...
Thought that Santa Claus was real for the longest time ever. When he learned about the truth, he made it his personal mission to protect Pony's childhood and give him the chance to believe in Santa for longer, going as far as pretending to be Santa Claus in more than one phone call (Pony never had the heart to tell him that he found out about Santa even before Sodapop did).
Dally
Is terrible with presents. He never knows what to give the other person and gets frustrated too easily while shopping, so he always ends up asking for the Amazon wishlist and buying something random from there.
He tries his best, though, and has many ways of showing how much he cares without actually saying that. For example, whenever someone is sad or upset, he always sends them a little "u good?" and various memes. Sometimes, when he's specially worried about Johnny and his home situation, he calls him and stays on the phone until he makes sure Johnny is safe and sleeping peacefully.
He's an iPhone guy and an Apple lover. He hates himself for this, but he cannot help himself. He doesn't have a good relationship with his parents and they don't care much about what he does, so he loves getting the latest Apple products and charging the costs to his father's credit card.
Johnny
Loves vintage clothes a lot! Half of his wardrobe are pieces he has found in vintage stores that he tends to visit with Dally or Pony.
Another part of his wardrobe consists of clothing articles that the rest of the boys have given to him. He's everyone's favorite and the ultimate little brother of the group, so the rest of the boys always tend to give him clothes that they used to wear when they were smaller, just like real brothers would do. They know Johnny loves the sentiment behind this and it's one of the ways they can show him how important he is. Johnny takes care of every single thing they give him.
He loves photography. He saved up money for a long time and managed to get himself a Canon EOS 400D and takes it everywhere. He loves taking picture of the nature and making portraits of people. The boys are his favorite subject, and even though Pony (and occasionally Two-Bit) is the most willing and participative model, nobody can actually tell him no when he asks to take pictures of them. The group chat picture they have been using for years was one of the first pictures Johnny took of them.
Ponyboy
Write essays for fun and loves participating in writing contests. He has won a few of them and some of his poems and writings have been published in various webpages or amateur literature magazines. No matter how small they are, he always dedicates his works to the boys.
Knows about Soda and Steve's matching tattoos and wants to get one with Johnny too. He's a bit scared of needles, but gets very excited about the idea and spends hours trying to design the perfect tattoo for them.
Soda likes teasing him and calling him e-boy because of the way he dresses, and Pony is not actually mad at the idea. He loves wearing bucket hats and black cargo pants and chains. He's crazy about sneakers and shoes too, from Converse to Nike Air Force 1 to Vans, but his favorite pair of shoes are some black Dr. Martens that he found in a thrift store once with Johnny.
So, here it is! I hope you like these too! <3 I have even more but I didn't want to make it too long or too boring! adsgsdkd I'm always here to talk about headcanons and if you have any in particular that you want to ask about, shoot it! Also, I'm all ears if you want to share yours with me!
Thank you so much for your lovely ask <3333

I know I have already requested a fic based on one of the dialogue prompts, so you don't have to answer to this ask if you don't want to. It's just that I would love another angsty story with Qui-Gon and padawan Obi (the way you portray their father-son relationship just melts my heart and breaks it simultaneously). I don't have a preference for any specific dialogue to be included. You as the writer can choose anything from the prompt list. Whatever you think would suit your story best. Thanks again!
Thank you!! <3 Always happy to get requests from you! Oh, author’s choice. Now I gotta make a decision... hm.
I decided to go with prompt #1!
From this various prompts list.
Requests are currently closed.

From the very first moment, Qui-Gon had looked at him and seen Xanatos instead.
From the dueling mats in the Temple, to the rundown transport ship, to the wastes of Bandomeer, Obi-Wan had never really been Obi-Wan to him — just another phantom of his former, cherished apprentice, another reminder of his failings as a teacher.
Obi-Wan knew there had been times when it had been different.
In the mines — his small, trembling fingers sore from slave work pressed against the collar fitted around his throat, his breaths coming shallow but steady as he prepared to press it, to erupt, to shatter himself into billions of fragments just to open a door for Qui-Gon Jinn — there, then, it had been different.
Qui-Gon had seen him, and apologized to him, and praised him.
Offered to be his Master.
Yes, of course, yes.
But despite their bond being sealed and the training begun, after that it felt like two steps forward, five steps back, one step forward, standstill.
Qui-Gon could not seem to comprehend that Obi-Wan was not Xanatos.
He was surprised in his habits, that he hated waking early but enjoyed it once he was up. That he ate light, small meals often throughout the day instead of three large ones, and wouldn’t touch a heaping plateful no matter how hungry he was. That he was tidy in his clothing and writing but usually forgot to make his bed until the end of the day, when he wanted to climb into smooth, tidy sheets instead of a mess.
And he seemed ready, at all times, for Obi-Wan to do something… evil.
Not just wrong, or reckless, or crazy.
But as if he expected his thirteen-year-old Padawan to dramatically drop a facade of innocence like a masked villain dropping his disguise, and prove to the Order that he was capable of incredible harm.
It was worse after Telos.
One might have thought Qui-Gon expected Obi-Wan to announce himself Xanatos’ heir after the older man had flung himself into a pit of acid rather than face justice.
If Xanatos had lurked between them before, he positively pushed them apart after his death.
And then…
And then Tahl died.
And it was Obi-Wan’s fault, his stupid broken bone and his stupid inability to take care of himself or be left alone in a war zone, and she was dead. There would be no more hastily made dinners shared with laughter and teasing and her telling stories from her childhood with Qui-Gon while Qui-Gon cringed and shook his head and looked at her as if she were his favorite star, and no more basking in the light she seemed to share.
And when Qui-Gon looked at Obi-Wan, sometimes it was clear that he could only see the love he had lost, and her lying dead before him.
And wishing it had been Obi-Wan who had died instead.
Obi-Wan could never decide which was worse.
When his Master looked at him and saw Xanatos instead, missing Obi-Wan entirely and both loving and loathing the face he saw instead —
— or when he looked at him and saw him, saw Tahl and the role Obi-Wan had played in her death, and wished to the gods that Obi-Wan had simply never been.
To not be seen at all?
Or to be seen and to be despised?
You look right at me, Obi-Wan wanted to say. You look at me but you’re always seeing someone else.
But Obi-Wan loved his Master. Loved him like a son loves a father, like a good student loves a great teacher, and he could not stop loving him and wanting to be loved in return.
He could not even bring himself to try stopping.
And Qui-Gon, it seemed, could not bring himself to see Obi-Wan differently than he did. Maybe there was simply nothing more to see.
After awhile, Obi-Wan stopped hoping, and simply pushed himself to keep going, regardless of what he received in return. It was enough to be his Master’s Padawan, to have those rare moments of perfect harmony.
He stopped checking to see if his Master was pleased with him. Stopped looking for signs.
Qui-Gon Jinn would never need him, but he needed his teacher, and so he would not complain.
And this state of being went on for years.
And years.
The first thing Obi-Wan registered was the sound of beeping. The whirring of machinery, the quiet hum of droids working nearby.
There was something foreign, uncomfortable and plastic, in his nose and his mouth.
His whole body ached, but at the same time he was so comfortable and so very very tired that it felt as if the bed he was lying on had half swallowed him. He couldn’t so much as lift a finger if he tried.
That’s odd, he thought hazily. I’ve never had a bed try to eat me before.
And that is when he heard it.
Qui-Gon, muffled by a closed door or even two, his voice raised as Obi-Wan had never heard it.
“—you insisted on speaking to me about this right here and now, then the burden is on you! I won’t lower my voice just to appease you, Mace!”
That’s not good, Obi-Wan thought sluggishly. Master is going to get himself in deeper trouble with the Council again, and I can’t help him if a bed eats me.
A pause, and then Qui-Gon shouted, “I don’t give a damn!”
Obi-Wan smiled inwardly. You never do, you rule-flouter.
Another voice rose sharply through the haze, but Obi-Wan could not make it out. Qui-Gon spoke again, anger bleeding into borderline rage. “Look where your priorities got us! I warned you, I told you not to send him in there alone, and did you listen?” The voices drew much nearer as Qui-Gon continued to yell, and he was getting nearer, too.
Obi-Wan frowned. That sounded bad. Who was it that Qui-Gon did not trust to go alone, and what had they done wrong?
“You sent him when I was away and couldn’t do anything to prevent you! You went behind my back! Obi-Wan could have died!” Qui-Gon roared, very close by.
A strange stillness fell, a quiet, like the sudden disorientation after turning off music or a bright screen and blinking in the darkness.
Me.
“He could still die,” said Qui-Gon, much softer, and his voice broke. “My Padawan could die in that bed and you want to talk to me about mission parameters now?”
I went alone somewhere and he did not want me to go. I did something wrong.
“Qui-Gon,” sighed Mace Windu. “No. We just wanted to—”
“I know what you wanted,” snapped Qui-Gon. “I’m not leaving his side, and I’m not discussing anything not related to his health, do you understand?”
A familiar voice that Obi-Wan could not place a name to spoke up just then, mediating. “Peace. Your volume and aggravation are disturbing other patients. Master Jinn, go sit with your apprentice and be still.”
“Thank you, Healer Che,” Qui-Gon murmured.
A door opened. Very close by.
Footsteps approached Obi-Wan where he lay motionless, sunken into the bed and burning with dull physical pain and a much sharper pain called shame.
Qui-Gon sighed somewhere nearby.
And then, to Obi-Wan’s astonishment, he felt warm breath ghosting the top of his head and then a dry-lipped kiss was planted on his forehead, paternal and solemn, a benediction.
“Foolish boy,” Qui-Gon murmured, and the bed shifted as he sat on its edge, one arm coming to curl around Obi-Wan’s shoulders. “Rushing off on perilous solo missions as if I wouldn’t notice.”
Obi-Wan waited, a strange breathless hope inside him, like small child expecting a gift, a silly and wondrous feeling.
“Sometimes I think you don’t know that I love you,” Qui-Gon said. “Go easy on your old Master, Obi-Wan, he’s a very foolish man and you’re going to give me heart problems before my time.”
A sturdy, rough-fingered hand began rubbing absently up and down Obi-Wan’s shoulder.
“You are remarkable, Padawan mine. Don’t forget that.” Qui-Gon’s voice broke again.
With an almighty effort, Obi-Wan struggled within himself, searching for strength. When he found it, he seized upon it, and with all he had he reached out along his decade-old training bond, trying to connect with his Master.
A flash of surprise, recognition, relief, joy.
Qui-Gon actually let out a strangled sob; the arm around Obi-Wan’s shoulders tightened fiercely.
“You’re going to be all right,” he said aloud. “In fact, I expect you’re going to be incredible, one day, my Padawan.”
Obi-Wan could not muster the energy for a smile, but he tried; and perhaps Qui-Gon understood, because the last thing Obi-Wan felt before darkness pulled him back under to the impenetrable sleep of drug-induced relief was the warmth of laughter against the top of his brow, and another paternal kiss.

10 Underrated Quotes from Season 2 of The Mandalorian
As previously seen with season one, I’m here with another list of underrated quotes from The Mandalorian—this time, from season two. I’m going to highlight some of my favorite quotes from the season or quotes that stick out to me and why I think they’re noteworthy.
I don’t own any rights to content from The Mandalorian and, if you haven’t watched season two yet, potential spoilers are ahead!
1. “Pay attention when a superior addresses you.” (Chapter 15: The Believer)
While this scene certainly isn’t underrated, I believe this line spoken by Valin Hess when he finally catches Din Djarin’s attention by the Imperial terminal deserves some reflection. It’s interesting to think about how responding to Hess’ first call of “Trooper” is something Djarin just... wouldn’t think to do, or is something he thought he could get away with. It seems that Mandalorians, while they value their leadership, don’t focus on hierarchical structures in their society, so Djarin isn’t used to having to obey orders like that. It’s even worse that he has to deal with this unfamiliar situation without his helmet for the first time since he was a child. It really draws our attention to how little Djarin knows about the Empire and other organizations outside of his covert.
Tumblr media
2. “This is the Way.” (Chapter 11: The Heiress)
I think many of us can agree that the first time this statement is uttered in this episode, we’re less than pleased about it, thanks to Bo-Katan’s ridiculing tone. When it happens later on, however, there’s so much meaning packed behind the words. First, from Bo-Katan, who has witnessed Mando’s bravery firsthand and has likely realized how wrong she was making assumptions about him based off his covert and his traditions. In return, Mando’s response of the phrase is strained. Why? Well, it’s up to interpretation—but to me, I think it’s because Mando’s in awe of the idea of these Mandalorians who have already proven their abilities to him actually coming to respect him and the Way he’s known ever since he was a child. It was a great moment of reconciliation.
Tumblr media
3. “Is he speaking? Do you... understand him?” (Chapter 13: The Jedi)
Something I love about this line in particular is the way it’s delivered. There’s such desperation concealed behind Mando’s modulator that tells us so much about what he’s been thinking while pacing the forest floor nervously. This desperation also tells us how eager he’s been to communicate with his child. Mando and Grogu have been together for a long time, now, and we know they’ve had plenty of one-sided conversations. I’m sure Mando has longed to know what Grogu’s been thinking in return, and now that he might have an opportunity to, we can really hear that sheer curiosity and desperation in his voice with this line he offers to Ahsoka.
Tumblr media
4. “Jet back, you’re faster that way.” (Chapter 12: The Siege)
I’m sure we all have our mixed opinions about the season one Nevarro crew, but this moment in particular really strikes the depth of their friendship and companionship. Once they’ve all heard about Moff Gideon’s return and his request to get the child once again, there’s no doubt in anyone’s minds that Mando wouldn’t be going back for him immediately. Even though the job isn’t completely done and Greef, Cara, and Mythrol all still need a way out, they don’t even try to ask for Mando’s help. Instead, Cara insists that he gets back as fast as he can, even if that means the three of them don’t make it out themselves. I really love how that shared understanding and dedication to the child in all situations shows their deep friendship amongst the trio (and Mythrol).
Tumblr media
5. “I’ve spent much time on Tatooine. I never saw a Mandalorian there.” (Chapter 9: The Marshal)
Mando’s response to Gor Karesh insisting that he knows of a Mandalorian on Tatooine could potentially be telling us more than we’re aware of. As far as we know, Mando’s only been to Tatooine once—and it was only for two days, tops. But here, he’s saying he’s “spent much time” there, which means it’s possible that Mando lived on Tatooine for a time while the Bounty Hunter’s Guild still operated out of there. If you think about it more, Mando knew exactly where to go for some work in Chapter 5, another hint that there’s more to Mando’s time on Tatooine than we’re aware of. The same thing could be said about his knowledge of Tusken and his friendship with the Sand People. Any time we get a potential hint of Mando’s backstory, I’m excited about it!
Tumblr media
6. “Am I under arrest?” (Chapter 10: The Passenger)
This line comes quickly in the midst of Mando’s conversation with the New Republic pilots in Chapter 10, but I really love it. These few words say a lot about Mando’s character and how he responds to praise. He’s just been told all about his heroics in Chapter 6, when he risked his own life for Lieutenant Davan and reprimanded Mayfeld, Xi’an, and Burg—and when asked whether it was true, Mando offers no confirmation. He doesn’t even own up to his good acts. Instead, he simply acts this question, remaining the practical man we know him to be. This truly shows us the humble nature of Mando and how he tries his best to focus on the present rather than dwelling on things he’s done in the past, good or bad.
Tumblr media
7. “... talent without training is nothing.” (Chapter 16: The Rescue)
On the surface, this seems like a very practical statement that many Jedi make throughout the series (see Ahsoka talking to Mando in Chapter 13 and Obi-Wan talking to Luke in Episode IV: A New Hope). When you think about it more, especially in context, you might be able to see Luke hinting at something much deeper. Luke heard Grogu’s cry for help from the Seeing Stone where it’s very possible Grogu was talking about his desire to protect his father by strengthening his abilities. Luke knows all too well what happens when you abandon training in an attempt to protect those you love—as for him, it didn’t go well. Yoda tried to warn him but he didn’t listen. Now that he’s learned his lesson, Luke can offer this wisdom to a Grogu who wants to keep his father safe. He knows that training first will then allow Grogu to protect himself and his father to his heart’s content, just as Luke was better able to protect his friends in Episode VI after he finished his training.
Tumblr media
8. “Okay, I’m gonna protect you.” (Chapter 14: The Tragedy)
The scene in which this line is delivered is what truly establishes this episode as a tragedy. Mando’s tried three times to break through Grogu’s Force-field—not because he wasn’t thinking, but because he was so desperate—and now he has to come to terms with the fact that he’ll only hurt himself more if he keeps trying it again and again. Mando’s voice is pretty shaky if you listen to it closely enough in these lines, reluctant to leave his child atop the mountain alone but eager to protect him somehow. We know Mando doesn’t like to feel helpless, but we can sense he feels that way in this moment. He doesn’t even know if Grogu can hear him, yet he keeps speaking to him with such fierce protectiveness and reassurance. This is a promise he doesn’t fall through with, even if Grogu does fall into the Imperials’ hands for a time.
Tumblr media
9. “Give it to me.” (Chapter 15: The Believer)
This is the moment where we all really knew what was about to go down. What I love about this quote is that Mando says it with no remorse. He says it firmly, insisting upon doing whatever it takes to get those coordinates and get to Grogu. He’s already made up his mind. Despite the fact he gave his word earlier about not showing his face, Mando’s going to do what he has to for his son. The firm way this line is delivered proves that, especially when he shifts from taking a backseat to Mayfeld to taking charge again as he pulls the data stick right from Mayfeld’s grip. I just really love Mando’s determination in this scene, despite the circumstances.
Tumblr media
10. “I’ll see you again. I promise.” (Chapter 16: The Rescue)
Do I particularly think this line is underrated? No, not the direct meaning of it. But when you watch Star Wars Rebels and think more about the genius of Dave Filoni, there’s a whole new layer of meaning attached to these words. For those who may not have watched the show yet (you definitely should!), Kanan and Hera are two people who care very much for each other (wink wink) who once had to exchange a goodbye very similar to Mando and Grogu. Kanan was about to go on a very dangerous mission without Hera, unsure of what would happen to him, when he delivered these words: “We’ll see each other again. I promise.” This is almost exactly what Mando says to Grogu in the face of their temporary separation. The good news is Kanan and Hera did get to see each other again—but Kanan was changed forever. Will this happen with Mando or Grogu? It’s possible. But it’s just another one of those moments that makes me yell “FILONI!” in Darth Maul style.

12 and 23 for the fabric ask would be magnificent! 🏜
Fabric? Autocorrect issue? But I am so glad you asked.
12. Favorite character to write about this year
Hands down, Luke Skywalker. I have been in love with Luke since 1977 and I was a very impressionable 13 year old. All of my friends (all two of them) were "Han girls" but I loved Luke with the passion of, well, Tatoo I and Tatoo II burning down on the sands of the Jundland Wastes. I hated how the Sequels destroyed his character and just lost all interest in SW, but I had heard so many good things (plus a free subscription to D+) about the Mando Show, that I started watching. And when he made his surprise appearance at the end of the S2 finale, well, all my love, long buried, burst back to life like a star reborn. Since I was not (and likely never will be) deeply conversant with Canon and Legends outside of the movies and some knowledge that happens just by existing in the world, I felt more comfortable writing an AU and using it to explore things about Luke that I wouldn't be able to do within a GFFA setting.
I am, at heart, a hurt/comforteer, and Luke Skywalker is the perfect character for me to exercise my Force-given rights to cause pain and bring comfort
Tumblr media
23. Fics you wanted to write but didn’t
SO MANY FICS!!!!
(Thank you, Tumblr, for chewing up my post).  Let me reconstruct...)
In addition to falling into the Din/Luke ship, I also fell hard into the Qui/Obi ship.  And there's a funny story to that.  My bestie,@timeforalongstoryis NOT a Din/Luke shipper. Her GFFA ship is Qui/Obi, but when she told me that, I had just finished reading an amazing reverse-padawan story by SPQR (title escapes me at the moment), where the Council denies Obi-Wan his knighthood and makes him Anakin's padawan. I was brand-new in the whole Star Wars fandom and didn't know jack from shit, and this story leaned hard into the Jedi Apprentice books (which I really knew nothing about) and all of the crap that Qui-Gon dealt to poor wee Obi-Wan (Melida/Daan, New Apsolon, even the stupid elevator incident), so at that moment, I was feeling A LOT of unkindness towards Qui-Gon, and kind of shrugged off the idea of Qui/Obi.
Tumblr media
Then I encountered @darkisrising's Vampire AU, and well, that kind of spun me right round baby. (Dark, please finish this. I will bribe you with pretty jeweled things for the end of the story). I got stuck in the hospital for nine days and worked my way through almost all of the Qui/Obi tag, including some truly incredible Old Skool fic imported from the Boys in Chains Archive, some written circa 1999.
Anyway, that set my brain percolating on Qui/Obi almost as hard as it's been bubbling away on Din/Luke. I have notes on the following stories:
1 - Broken Qui/Obi, post Naboo (Qui-Gon lives, of course, no Clone Wars), where the Council is pressuring Obi-Wan to take a padawan. Obi-Wan refuses, disavows his master and lineage. Much, much pain... Not sure how to get to a HEA.
2 - Obi-Wan kills Maul in anger, touching the Dark Side and Sidious feels that, and tries to form/force a bond. In his rage and grief, Obi-Wan rejects it and actually kills Sidious (who is back on Coruscant!) Qui-Gon lives, but is, of course, terribly wounded and is in a bacta tank and a force-induced coma/healing trance for months. When he wakes up, he's told that Obi-Wan is dead. Qui-Gon does not train Anakin (Mace or Depa does), and he spends the next 20 years grieving and doing his diplomacy thing across the galaxy. He decides to retire from the Order, but Yoda asks him to take one more mission, to return an artifact to a small, restricted world on the Mid Rim. Guess who he finds...
Tumblr media
3 - Modern AU where General Kenobi is taking an adult ed class taught by hippie professor Qui-Gon, who is outraged by the bodyguards watching over the damn warmonger student.
4 - And then there was the Beethoven AU that I wanted to write (musician Obi, conductor Qui-Gon) which I tossed out to the wonderful people on the Qui/Obi writer discord, and while at one point, it looked to become a group project, the amazing Temve wrote the whole thing - and it needs to be read: Save Me From The Grave and Wise: A Qui/Obi Fic in Nine Symphonies if you have any love for either music, Star Wars, or breaking your heart and getting it mended perfectly.I've nattered on way too long, but I've got a bunch of Din/Luke and Din/Boba/Luke ideas that I've started but have stuck in my WiPs folder, hoping to get a chance to finish them next year. Right now, I have to write my Qui/Obi Winter Exchange fic, finish Stars/Scars, and finish Lost and Found - those are my priorities. I signed up for the Star Wars Big Bang, but will probably drop out - I don't really need to do a Big Bang, not when I average 5-7 thousand words a chapter. Having art is nice, but not that much of a reason to drive myself nuts. I may let myself get distracted by the Chocolate Box exchange. It's one of my favorite pan-fandom events, and I've always liked what I've written for that.

I love how Nathan makes an AI of himself (and believes that everyone would fuck themselves, given the chance) - that is one os the most in-character things I've ever seen Nathan do in fic - it's just perfect! Also love how bad Nathan is in bed at first, and the ending is so hot. Love love love this fic, I reread it regularly.
@youvebeenlivingfictional - don’t treat my love like a habit - santiago/reader - I love reading this series because I love how the characters develop, and how their relationships change over time too. I love the imagery in this fic and its such a comfort read. (Also there needs to be an honourary mention of Magnetic too, by the same author as it has excellent slow-burn pacing).
@woakiees - mistakes and sour grapes - poe/reader - I love how, although its modern-day Poe, it also does a really good job of showing Poe's struggles as he tries to adapt to civilian life. I also really enjoy the slow build between the two of them and Finn's friendship with the reader (also it's made me desperate to try a chocolate cake shot lol).
@woakiees - and you keep me holding on - santiago/reader - it made me cry so much!!! the emotion, the days counting, the pain of poor Santi, just everything its so good
@brandyllyn - to sell your love for peace - javier/reader - omg ok. the writing in this was so good, and the foreshadowing was excellent - the whole time, I had a sneaking suspicion of what was going to happen, but the clues were so expertly scattered in that I had just convinced myself I was wrong when... (AAAAHHHH I screamed you have no idea it was so good).
@writingletterstothefire - she loves me - santiago/reader - the suspense! I love knowing things that the characters dont and I cant wait to find out how they react! I really enjoy this authors writing too.
@witchyavenger - coffee - richard/reader - how sweet it is!! I just wanna give Richard some love too, he deserves the world, (and the moodpboard for this fic is so good also).

Miss Kit you have a fantastic ability to capture how absurd people can be and it always makes me smile. Yes someone could lie about being in a relationship to make their parent happy then forget to tell them till their wedding day. Yes someone could panic and pretend to know how to train dogs (I hope this is also only revealed at the wedding). It's so funny because it's wild but also totally plausible, and Anakin and Obi-Wan do all sorts of wild shit in canon but because of the story its rarely allowed to be the fun/funny sort of wild and I love that in aus.
Other examples include fish hook Obi-Wan pretending he planned for baby Ahsoka (whose just clinging to Anakin and looking at him with real 'I watched this guy murder the sith Lord and I will standby and watch him murder you too' energy). Or amnesiac Mobi-Wan playing himself by accidentally teaching PB about subspace and BDSM whilst complaining about him to him (poor Anakin having to realise he was the ONLY person who didn't know that's what his relationship was and I cannot imagine how Mobi-Wan wins him round again after that though I am dying to know!)
Thank you for both the angst and hilarity that these characters bring and letting them fly!
idiots deserve love too <3
but no ahh this is such a specific and beautiful compliment to get im so glad you sent this thank you <3 people are just absurd and most of the times it doesn't hurt and i love my little miscommunication stories/stories where they are less than honest for a bit because it's all light-hearted which is a nice break from the miscommunications of the actual prequels which ends with very much a lot of death and some well-deserved maiming
i love making them a tad stupid because it always works out anyway and they get to experience problems of their own making like with anakin in the tattooshop au who lies and tells obi-wan that um actually tattooing over your soulmate mark will KILL you haha don't google it, or anakin leaning into being from jakku in time and tide and then spending the whole day reading up on the planet he absolutely knows nothing about just in case obi-wan asks him what their fifth most exported good is,,,,
thank you for smiling at the way i write these idiots <3 sometimes i worry i lean too much into making them stupid but it's nice to know it pays off !!!

Polis Massa and Utapau! :3
HI! ☺️ Thank you so much for two more questions I was hoping to get asked!
List of original ask game questions linked down below!
Polis Massa: Favorite OTP’s
Romance wise, I only have three!
1.) Barrissoka (Ahsoka Tano x Barriss Offee): This is the BOAT for me! I could very much write a whole thesis on why I love these two together so much but I’ll keep it short. I’veshipped these two since I first saw them together in the Clone Wars years ago (well before I knew I myself was gay and could truly appreciate wlw romance) and despite all the horror Feloni put them through, I’d still die for them. These girls deserve happiness 🧡💙🤍💚

2.) Kenduli/Obinara (Luminara Unduli x Obi-wan Kenobi): Just like the above ship, I could write pages on why I also love these two together but I’ll abbriaviate. I fell in love with their dynamic in the Legends novel “The Approaching Storm” (highly recommend) and that love grew even more when I saw their dynamic in the Clone Wars. Like the way Luminara relaxes around Obi-wan and the way Obi-wan worries for her on Geonosis is just so damn cute okay? They’re two of my all time favorite characters and I think they go nicely together shoot me 😄

3.) Hanleia (Han Solo x Leia Organa): Need I say more? How can you not love the OG ship? They are just too damn cute and lovey dovey with each other and the sequels did them real dirty…totally not bitter about it one bit.

As for platonic OTP’s, I am a huge sucker for the wholesome Jedi Master/Padawan relationships. The Jedi are just so damn good and loving 💙💚💜
Utapau: Personal Ranking of Episodes
This one is a difficult one since I love all the first 6 episodes so much (sorry sequel fans, I won’t be including those here, just not my cup of tea).
1.) Revenge of the Sith/Return of the Jedi: These two are tied as my favorite because I literally cannot choose.
Return of the Jedi has always been my favorite of the OG trilogy (I abused the hell out of that VHS tape and DVD). I just love a good satisfying ending and that’s what Episode 6 is, a good ending. All the characters have grown immensely. Han is no longer a relunctant hero, Leia is still a badass but she’s now a badass motherfucking Hutt slayer and a friend to the Ewoks, and Luke is a Jedi Knight with a new green saber. The reveal about the twins is finally made and we finally get to see that climatic showdown between Luke and the Emperor with Vader finally returning as Anakin and sacrificing himself for his Son. The Empire is then finally gone and the Jedi and the Republic can start to rebuild. That ending scene with Luke looking at the Force ghosts with Anakin joining in light colored robes never fails to get me misty eyed 🥲
Revenge of the Sith is the prequel movie I’ve watched the most and to me it’s a direct parallel to Episode 6. It’s tragic as fuck and the Order 66 scene will never fail to break my heart as well as the Mustafar battle, but it’s still a hauntingly beautiful film. Anakin essentially is the reverse of Luke in that he made all the wrong choices and I find it poetic knowing what would happen in the future. The soundtrack to this film is also probably my favorite 👌🏻
2.) Attack of the Clones: This movie is so entertaining to watch. Okay, so as much as I love the originals, the prequels and the Clone Wars are my jam in that all my favorite characters are alive and well and we get to see so much Jedi badassery. That scene where all the Jedi arrive on Geonosis is 👏🏻💙💚💜🤌🏻 perfection ☺️ I also really like the different journeys Anakin and Obi-wan go on and their banter in this film never fails to make me laugh. It’s essentially the final stop before all the tragedy happens and I’m here for it.
3.) A New Hope: Like many, this is the first Star Wars movie I ever watched and it’s the reason why I’m so deep into this universe. The story and pacing of this movie is top notch. This movie is just full of so many surprises and touching moments (like Luke looking off into the binary sunset, Obi-wan telling Luke about his father, the final duel between Obi-wan and Vader, and the final Death Star battle sequence where the golden trio work together to defeat the Empire). This episode is 100% a comfort episode for me and I’ll never stop loving it.
4.) The Empire Strikes Back: Most people have this one ranked higher than New Hope or Return of the Jedi but for me personally, that was never the case. Don’t get me wrong, I love this movie. It’s a great sequel to episode 4 in that it continues to build on all the elements we fell in love with in ANH (I.e The Force, Han/Leia’s romance, Vader’s connection to Luke, etc.) while adding new elements such as Vader’s inner turmoil and new characters like Lando. Luke’s Jedi training with Yoda on Dagobah with Yoda will always be my favorite sequence in that film because it delves into what it means to be a Jedi and what the Force is. I think for me it just boils down to the fact that the Empire/Sith get the upper hand on this one and I’m all for the good guys.
5.) The Phantom Menace: Now just because it’s last on my list doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy it. Unlike what most would say, the story is a solid one. I liked seeing all the political strings Palpatine had to pull to get where he needed to be and I liked seeing who Anakin was before his Jedi training. I think it was important for the audience to see where Vader came from and how he ended up at Obi-wan’s side. The Duel of the Fates sequence will never not be cool; it’s one of my all time favorite Obi-wan moments. This is just the episode I’ve probably seen the least.
Phew, I’ve ranted quite a bit but I still had fun 😄😊

heya!! 9, 23, and 25 for the fanfic asks !
Hello hello! Thank you for these!!! <3
end of the year fanfic asks!
9. Longest WIP of the year
Oh golly, well, I don't have any super long that are actually begun lol, but the longest that was begun was 294 words, temporary title Chips, which I've mentioned a couple times but just never ended up getting around to.
My longest potential WIP, meaning I have the premise and the intention to write it as a long-fic but just haven't been able to because I want to dedicate significant time and effort to it, is call A Wretch Like Me, which I've been sitting on since like. July. I want it to be the longest proper multi-chap I've written.
23. Fics you wanted to write but didn’t
So many! A Wretch Like Me and Chips, as mentioned previously. A modern au idea I had where Cody, married to Obi-Wan, adopts the twins (Anakin doesn't know he's the father in this) after Padmé dies and it's just an adventure in figuring out children with the side adventures of Cody and Obi-Wan's respective siblings being themselves and causing chaos. Two surprise gift fics that I've had like, just kinda circling my brain for a while that I haven't gotten around to. Hopefully over Christmas break I'll be able to work on some of them!
25. A fic you read this year you would recommend everyone read
Just one?! I've recommended some of these previously I think, so if I sound like a broken record, I'm not sorry. I'll add in some new recs too of course!
Star Wars
Vertical Transmission by @catboydogma (I can't pass up recommending your fic even though you asked @solipsism-lemonade!!). Truly excellent Tup and Dogma content, feels all the way, loved it so much
Under My Skin by @stolen-pen-name23 Very sad and very great Obi-Wan and Anakin feels, as Katie specializes in!! <3
Aay'han by @gaeasun A super cool time loop fic with major Dogma angst
And Your People Shall Never Be Destroyed by @picazos-angsty-typist An amazing au of Cody (Kote in this fic) escaping Kamino when he's a cadet and trying to save his brothers
The To Walk on Earth series by @chiafett Again (can you see the pattern) Dogma angst, with Dogma coming back to the 501st after being on Kamino. Tup takes care of him and he has help from their others brothers too
I could go on forever, there are so many I love, but there's a handful!!
Batman(thank you @picazos-angsty-typist for roping me into this new obsession via second-hand fandom sickness)recs below the cut because I know most of you are just here for Star Wars stuff, but even so, you should take a gander!!
The Shutterbug series by @goldkirk. Incredible. just. so good. I have completely fallen in love with Tim and the whole batfam and honestly this series is what made that happen. I was mildly interested in Batman stuff before and then found Latchkey (the first of the series) and literally lost sleep over it because I was just flying through it. Highly recommend!!!!
Echoes of You by @littlescarletstar (SilverSkiesAtMidnight on ao3) which really just hit the nail on the head with absolute heart wrenching Jason angst
