I love Sakae so much because he's so in love and trying so hard not to be. He's so determined not to pursue romance again, once burned twice shy, but he's still in love.

He's so cute. Soga is doomed and I'm doomed. This boy is in so, so deep and trying so, so hard.

And this is why Sakae loves Soga so much and why he keeps falling harder and why he can't help himself when he wants to confess again and again. (And his ex-wife's entire wish being that he could learn to rely on people? Ugh, my heart.)
