Jinhae Exes AU not in the "ones of us cheated" or "it was all a big misunderstanding that separated us" kind of way.
But in the "one of us realized the world is significantly different than what we were thought to believe and now we are fighting in different sides of the war and I still love you but I think I'm right in this ideology game and just want the other to understand and come back please—"
#i just remembered i also had that idea before in a oneshot wip#never truly finished even though it was going to be hella fun#i also kinda made the fic be platonic in ao3 rather than romantic#i mean i like my jinhae#but#platonic AND soulmates AND m/f friendships are just 'MA HEART'#anyways the whole love wouldnt have been different.#like they still love each other minus the kissing and secc#Anyways the plot was about Haein recovering her memories of the past timeline and looking for jinwoo in order to help him defeat the#denizens of chaos aka beasts and their monarchs or just the monarch and their armies#Jinwoo wasnt looking for any help but was kinda lonely that he just kindof accepted the company from Haein and gave her a system on her own#so that she too could become just as strong as her. At this point they also like 'know'they both like each other bc they both did go on a#date but they never truly met one another so they do have a crush but they decide to take it slow and just become friends first. I mean they#have literally have 27 years in this world to spend so might as well try to know each other first.#Haein isnt quick to open up about her problems tho and neither is Jinwoo quick to say ALL that he suffered for the past 4 years as a hunter#including the system's mess#so they often explore more about the world and talk about the monsters than their problems first#That is until Haein is like 19. both have passed like 6 years toguether only trying to find where the monarchs are hi#hidding as well as destroying possible civilizations that could be useful inside the shadow army.#most of the beasts are agreesive towards them too so they kill them without any regards.#and then they finally get to find the first intelligent beings in this world. The demon race. Haein already from the name alone knows they#(also yes the demon race is still alive in this AU)#but jinwoo stops her and she is just huh? we arent killing these demons?#'nope we are killing all of them except this clan'#and Haein obeys but. like. is so confused.#hen when the radir family throws them a banquet. pretty things and events happen and Haein gets the chance to talk to Esil who in turn is#very chatty so she gets to hear a lot about the story of demons and their lives outside of it.#solo leveling#jinhae

ko kyungjun as a boyfriend
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
he is THE hates everyone but you bf
bad boy with a soft spot for you kinda trope
just replace bad boy with bully
he doesn't go out of his way for anyone except you
princess treatment? you got it.
he'd make jinha and seungbin do the work when they are around lol
his love languages are;
acts of service
holding doors for you, buying you snacks, walking you home, helping you the week before and during your period. the things he does for you can erase any doubts that may arise in your head about his feelings for you.
he might hold back sometimes to not appear as a simp and maintain his reputation as the tough bully though.
physical touch
always has his hands on you in a way, mostly around the waist or shoulders. it is a sign of affection but also ownership as he wants to make your relationship known to other boys so they don't even dare to make a move.
also having you on his lap, he loves that. especially during recess at school, you can be found sitting on him while he zones out or talks with jinha and seungbin.
and quality time
asking you to hang out after school, inviting you to his place to chill, tagging along when you have errands to run if he is in the mood for it.
this guy literally walks away from people and situations when he doesn't care to be bothered so spending his time on/with someone definitely means something.
now about gift giving
i don't think he'd put a lot of thought into gifts. on specific occasions like anniversaries or trying to impress you, yes, but nothing too fancy otherwise.
however, you'd get little things; like a flower from a random garden he passed by from.
in my eyes, he's a casual sharer in a relationship
what is his is yours, his basketball sneakers being the only exception. food, clothes, his bed, his heart, everything.
you like his jacket? you'll share it back and forth, one week his and two weeks yours. you like his hoodie? take it. you like his shirt? wear it (but bring it back after a month and borrow another). you like his earrings? you can wear the right one and he'll wear the left one.
words of affirmation is not something he is good at
it's hard for him to express himself. he can throw a few playful sweet words here and there but rarely gets serious. he has his moments, especially after intimate situations with intense feelings, but they're few.
rarely says "i love you", he shows it instead.
he'd be the one to secretly need words of affirmation despite denying it
not too much praise though, he'll get cocky
bro felt love for the first time and his world changed #canon
such a show-off, especially with basketball
"this is for you" *misses the shot*
once threw the ball in hyunho's face because you were looking at the poor boy for too long and kyungjun got jealous
cue nahee running to help hyunho with his bloody nose
he eliminates your worries when he can
(we all know how I'm talking about)
tending to his wounds whenever he gets injured
insecure hence extreme jealousy
someone looks at you for too long? glares at them. someone talks to you? either waves them off or mocks them when they leave. someone confesses to you? they get threats as a warning. someone touches you? disappeared from the face of earth.
i could actually see him wanting to kill other boys out of jealousy but he'll hold himself back by giving them a light beating instead.
"me? jealous? ha! I'm better than that asshole"
yeah yeah sure
bro is so aggressive
you'd most likely have to witness a lot of outbursts of anger
but he apologises after, usually
intended empty words or not, you'll witness his wrath again because that is his reaction to almost everything that inconveniences him
he's throwing things and punching walls
BUT NEVER EVER hits you
even if he unconsciously shoves you, he regrets it immediately
many, mostly minor, arguments because of misunderstandings and lack of communication
he is not very confrontational when it comes to a relationship, either because he doesn't want to appear vulnerable and clingy or he doesn't know how to express himself and figure out why he is feeling the way he does.
when his hidden feelings of insecurity and discomfort bubble up, it's hell for the both of you. screaming, crying, him acting like he doesn't care to protect himself.
and his impulsivity makes it harder to make up sometimes
he might say hurtful things out of anger that will keep you away from him for a while but he rarely actually means them, it's just his defense and illusion of security.
possessive and slightly controlling
he cares too much when he considers his relationship serious and it's not just him fooling around.
unfortunately, he'll use manipulation when he wants something badly or to convince you of something. if you call him out, he'll drop the act and most likely get annoyed.
he needs a lot of work when it comes to the negative aspects of his personality for a healthy relationship to exist
he is not too much of a bad guy, he just has issues
and needs therapy
passionate makeout sessions
those big palms and veiny hands know how to grip. he's the dominant one and he won't have it any other way, wanting to have power and control over the pace and movements.
high libido, that's all i'm apparently allowed to say :P
learns and remembers a lot about you
especially your habits and quirks
if you smoke too;
he'll share his cigarettes with you
and steal a couple of yours when he is out of his
if you hate smoking;
LIKE LITERALLY CANNOT BREATHE AROUND SMOKERS
he'll make an effort to not smoke when you are present
brushes his teeth or eats a piece of gum before he kisses you if he meets you after smoking <3
can't have you thinking he is gross smh
if you're short;
he definitely teases you about your height
picks you up just for fun or carries you around like you weigh nothing
ties your shoelaces for you
playfully insulting each other and bantering all the time to show affection
you're the only one he actually listens to <3
you shove him or nudge him when he is being too mean to other people or crossing a line
still goes wild when you're not around
you are his lockscreen <3
not too much of a talkative texter
sort written replies but long voice messsages
oml that voice
sends you pics of himself all the time, expecting compliments and praise
shirtless mirror pics focusing on his abs? all yours. manspreading pictures? you got them. selfies in which he tries to appear tough but his cheeks and soft features make him look like the cutest boy you've ever seen? yep.
cares a lot about how you view him so he takes a lot of time to make sure he picks the right pics to send you.
let's not fool ourselves, he knows you love those muscles and he purposely puts them on display for you
cuddles with kyungjun are warm and tight, becoming one under a blanket
more of a motorcycle guy
buys you your own helmet <3
not one for fancy dates, maybe dinner here and there, but prefers casual hangouts
movie nights at his house, late night walks and rides, chilling at a convenience store after school.
just peaceful private moments.
pretends to not like cheesy couple things, such as matching outfits or pajamas, but they secretly warm his heart
he takes your gifts very seriously; wears them to please you or carries them around with him
get him a neck pillow
you have him wrapped around your finger no matter how much he denies it
jinha has gotten a good smack in the back of his head for voicing that fact multiple times

Lighter
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing ✮⋆˙ Go Kyungjun x Reader
Summary ✮⋆˙ You don't know when universe will bring you your special light. Sometimes the light can be a person.
"✮⋆First meeting with Kyungjun"
He was running to the closest canopy that could save him from pouring rain, even though he was already all drenched he still wanted to get some cover.
The new school year was about to start in two weeks,
sweet fourteen days when kids do not have to worry about waking up in the morning, studying till the late hours of the night, attending additional classes, practicing their hobbies, or fighting with themselves, their problems, and their mental health.
For Kyungjun it was fourteen days of fighting with his mom, fourteen days of yelling at his stepdad, and fourteen days of being on his own, with his feelings.
He wanted to start this upcoming school year, finally meet with Seungbin and Jinha, and finally get his all anger out on Dabeom or this freaking weird kid with a stupid camera, he wanted to sleep through half of his lessons and enjoy the life of the school scariest bully.
It was the only thing he was good at - at least that's what he thought.
After standing like this for ten minutes he heard some rush footsteps, they were getting stronger and louder with every second, finally, the small space Kyungjun was standing in got smaller under the presence of the new person.
Kyungjun looked at the figure, the girl next to him was breathing fast - from running he supposed, her clothes were wet as well as her hair, she pulled her headphones down and let them swing around her neck.
He had never seen her before but Kyungjun didn't care about another victim of the rain - he had his problems to think about.
So he turned his head back as soon as the girl looked at him, he didn't want to look into her eyes like some creep.
After a while, he still could feel the girl's eyes on him but decided to let go of it and focus on something else.
He took a cigarette out of his green jacket as well as the lighter, he tried to start it a few times but the flame didn't want to stay in its place. Some curses could be heard from him but he didn't care, Kyungjun slammed his lighter on the ground with all his strength where it all broke into pieces.
He looked up from the ground and in front of his eyes he saw a pale, small hand holding something - another lighter. "Try this one" he heard, so the boy took the thing to his hand, and to his surprise it worked.
"You need to work on your anger" was heard from the side "Shut up" he Simply answered, he didn't have the energy nor patience to discuss his problems with a stranger.
"No, I'm serious, if a stupid lighter can make you this mad, then man, I don't want to know how other things can end their journey, or other people, try listening to some music it helps at least for me", and she softly smiled to him but also awaiting his next move.
"You don't look like the one who has any taste in music" Kyungjun didn't understand why she wasn't scared of him, did the rain erase his tough aura? "Then let me show you"
And that's how it started, she showed him her favorite playlist, and he did the same right after, they talked for a long time, long enough for Kyungjun to forget about his mean attitude, his problems or worries, and long enough to forget where he was.
"Well that's my ride," she said and got out of her space under the roof "I have to say you have really good taste in music" That was the last thing he heard from the girl before she got into a black car that stopped a few meters in front them.
He looked down and in his hand saw a lighter, the one that this girl gave him, but something was off, he looked again "Lee Y/N" was engraved on it.

As you can guess, I just caught up with your ARISE fics. And it'd be better to leave a comment for each of them separately, but sometimes I get scared of numbers bigger than 20. If you know what I mean.
Kidding.
It just felt right to read them all before saying anything.
It was such a pleasure to read those fics. Especially with Byunggyu and Jinwoo expressing their feelings through art, because both music and dancing are close to me. And I like that all of them are not focused on romantic relationship as such. Yeah, implications, implications are all there peppered over the storytelling, but nothing makes it under the spotlight. Rather paying attention to whatever comes before and surrounds it. Which makes it feel like yet to come, leaving you wanting to see more. Also the atmospheres of the fics are so different, yet they share that thread uniting them like they are perls of a necklace.
The stories felt like a single day, with Jinhae representing dawn or morning, Choibaek daytime or noon and Minlee dusk or evening. Funny thing that I read them backwards. Only (mid)night is missing, oh my—
Anyway.
I'm glad that you decided to write fics on this AU. With them and our fellow SL fans' posts, it really becomes a whole universe :3
Thank you!! I had such a nice time with this AU and especially with the fics. You never stop impressing me, Rei ♡
Hope you're doing well this days. Don't overwork yourself and take rest when possible.
P. S. I admit that at least once I accidentally read "his Haein"
YULIYA!!!!!!
Really, you are certainly one of the most wonderful people I've ever met whom can give the best comments ever! Yes, the boyband au has truly made a place in my heart and deserves its own universe. I miss brainrotting about that au ngl 😂
Oh wow! You made such a nice symbolism! Honestly, that was unexpected, but I like seeing it that way. Yeah, they all share a thread not just the fact that they're in the same AU. I genuinely think that Jinhae is the first ship to form while the rest follow in a gradual blur. Friendship has always been the highlight whenever I write stories where it has romance, yet not officially implied, though the insinuations are palpable. It really shows that Jin-woo and Byung-gyu care about what they currently have with Hae-in and Ju-hee more than what they wished for.
Jinhae - dawn o morning.
Choibaek - daytime or noon.
Minlee - dusk or evening.
Hmm. . . It's probably obvious on who is the midnight 👀
No kidding. I forgot that I should write about Taenoru.
Hehe, THANK YOU SO SO MUCH, YULIYA<33
"his Hae-in"? WHICH PART WAS IT—

Can I request Brooklyn and Jinhae moving out of Kins and Mase house and they’re all bittersweet?
Brooklyn is 22 in this!
"So, are you sure that you have everything sweetheart?" Kinsley asked as she looked around Brooklyn's bedroom and Brooklyn nodded in response. After four extra years of living at home, Brooklyn had finally decided that now was the time for her and her son, Jinhae, to move out of her parent's house and into her own place with her boyfriend, Daesung.
"This room looks so weird," Brooklyn sighed heavily as she looked around. "With all my stuff packed away, I mean."
"Yeah, I'm definitely going to have to keep this door closed so that your father doesn't cry every time he walks down the hall," Kinsley chuckled, stopping when she saw Brooklyn sit down on her bed quietly. "Hey, you ok?"
"Yeah, I'm fine," Brooklyn shrugged, and Kinsley rolled her eyes as she sat down next to her daughter.
"You know, you don't have to move out," Kinsley reminded her. "Your father and I don't mind if you and Jinnie stay."
"No, I know. I just, I guess I'm nervous about my ability to do it all on my own," Brooklyn confessed. "I mean, I've had your help and Daddy's help and Kenny and Junior's help and Grandma and Grandpa and Papa and Gigi. What if I can't do this on my own? What if I can't-,"
"Be a good mother to Jinhae?" Kinsley finished for her, making Brooklyn nod her head. "Look, you having our help isn't going to stop just because you have your own place. And you're more than a capable mother. Jinhae loves you and even though you struggled at first, you're a natural at it."
"You think?"
"I know so," Kinsley replied. "Plus, it's about time you and Dae live together. You've been together for 5 years and plus, I'm sick of acting like I don't hear you two fucking in my basement."
"Mama!" Brooklyn shouted in embarrassment before laughing, making Kinsley do the same.
"You got this sweetheart," Kinsley told her. "And in the off chance that you don't, you'll always be welcome to come back home. Anytime. Ok?"
"Ok," Brooklyn nodded. "I love you Mama."
"Oh, I love you too Brook," Kinsley smiled, chuckling when Brooklyn hugged her tightly.

Mam, I'm stuck with board exams so I can't message 😭. BUT! I do need you to write me an headcannon where Hayan finds out out Yohan is bi and have something going on with Vael in the original universe, thus chaos raises, postponing Yohan's suicide plan in the process.
As a gift of course 🤡 . And wish me good luck cause I would be ghosting for 4 months from today.
Oh, dear. Original universe? A tricky one since their relationship is pretty much broken 😅 but I'll try my best!
Hayan finding out Yohan is bi:
She probably doesn't even know what "bi" is
"Bi? Like bipedal? Aren't we all?" *Cue the loudest facepalm you could hear (was it Euntae or Jinha?)
Euntae would probably try explaining it to her but fails bc he gets flustered talking about sexuality (to her). He leaves her even more confused
Jinha tries to explain using fruits:
Jinha: So... Let's say that straight men like apples and straight women like, uh, bananas-
Vael: Really?
Jinha: Shut up- Anyways, so if straight men like apples and straight women like bananas, that means that gay men likes bananas and not apples, you follow?
Hayan: Yeah, makes sense
Jinha: So then bisexual men like both apples and bananas
Jinha: Like Vael!
Vael: What-
Hayan: Oh, Vael, you like bananas?
Euntae, cracking up in the background:
(yeah, she outed him)
After that she's pretty chill about it, doesn't really know what to do with that information tbh
In an AU or something if Hayan and Yohan have a good relationship she'll probably be the most supportive sister you could think of, probably to the point of embarrassing Yohan lol
Hayan finding out Yohan and Vael are probably involved in a relationship:
She's more concerned about Vael honestly
At first she worries that Vael is using them after all
But Vael keeps assuring her that he's on their side, that he doesn't know how his relationship with Yohan started getting intimate and he wasn't sure how to stop it
So now she's worried about Vael's wellbeing and wants to help but doesn't know how bc she's pretty new to having friends, let alone romantic relationships
She can't ask Euntae for advice either bc he's really biased against Yohan, he'll probably say something like "cut him off and get over it, he's not worth it" but Hayan suspects is a lot more complicated than that
This also makes her determination for revenge wave off a little. She's confused, she doesn't think Vael would get so intimately involved with Yohan if he didn't have some good in him, right? Maybe, just maybe the Yohan she loved like family was still there somewhere, if only she could reach him...
Aaaaand that's it!! Sorry it took some time, I wasn't sure where I wanted to go with this. Wasn't sure if I wanted to point to a possible redemption or tragic ending for everyone, so I left it open to imagination!
Good luck!!! And thanks a lot for the ask

First two gifs... It’s like a fantasy movie about an angel that fell in love with a demon.
TRP has the most stunning aesthetically satisfying opening. I love how they use Awu’s dream. Also that moment when XQ is entering the gates. Everything about it pulls my strings. I was actually gone while watching the opening and I know why. There was a kdrama when I was probably 14, called Bichunmoo that I was obsessed with. I even found two other guys who loved it and we are still really good friends lol There was ML Yu Jinha who had the same silhouette, energy, demeanor, temper as Xiao Qi. I mean it is probably my first fictional crush after Raoul de Bragelonne *cackles* And not only that. A FL in that drama was like Awu (though in a less fortunate circumstances) and I adored them so much. I guess that is the reason why this drama is holding me hostage. I was gone when I saw Xiao Qi entering those gates dramatically. I mean every single moment is perfect there. The splashing water, the dead at his feet, how he holds his sword, those flying skirts lol The crescendo in the opening theme song.
Yeah... Good times lol

“For you, darling, I would collect every cherry blossom in Korea. And Japan – no – in the world.”
seokjin x reader (or oc) genre: fluff word count: 900+
a/n: I changed the prompt just a bit because I wanted them to still be in Korea for this drabble. But anyways, it’s just some soft and a little bit silly Jin fluff with Love/Poopsie. I hope you all enjoy! And especially you poopsie anon! Thanks for reading :))
Tumblr media
THERE were many moments in your relationship with Seokjin where it felt like you were on the silver screen in some over the top, perfectly shot romance film. Probably more often than that, it felt like you were in rom-com. However, walking along the freshly bloomed cherry blossoms at the Jinhae Festival just outside of Busan, the scene was definitely feeling more like the former.
It was rare for Jin to have some time off to take you outside of Seoul, especially during the cherry blossoms, but he managed to do so between tour dates and promotions in the US.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t take you to Japan,” your boyfriend apologized as you walked hand in hand. “I know it’s one of your dream trips to-”
“Don’t be ridiculous,” you cut him off, stopping walking to face him. “This is stunning, I’m happy as I could ever dream of being right now.”
Your boyfriend smiled softly before puffing his chest out a bit, making you anticipate his next playful words. “Are you happy because of the blossoms or because of me?” He asked smugly.
“Can it be both?” You questioned with a look of innocence. Shaking his head, you sighed. “Ok, well, remember, you made me choose,” you started, looking around you both at the light pink flowers. “Definitely the cherry blossoms,” you joked.
“Ahhh, I take you all the way to Busan and this is how you treat me,” he complained exaggeratedly, drawing the attention of a few festival goers. You giggled as your boyfriend pulled you into his arms, hugging you against his broad frame as you wrapped your arms around his waist. “Are you really happy though?” He asked you more seriously.
“Of course, I am,” you pulled away enough to look up at him. “I’m always happy when I’m with you, even when we’re bickering or you’re being obnoxious,” you teased, Jin chuckling as he leaned down to kiss your forehead. “But in this moment, I don’t know if I’ve ever been happier,” you added. “And of course, it has everything to do with you. The cherry blossoms are just a nice touch.”
“Good,” he placed his hands on your arms as he gently soothed them up and down, his eyes observing you features carefully. “I’m happy too, love.”
“Hey, do you think there’s anyway you could package one of these trees up and bring it home with us?” You asked, Jin smiling at the question.
“For you, darling, I would collect every cherry blossom in Korea. And Japan – no – in the world,” he told you as sincerely as he possibly could with such a ridiculously unrealistic comment.
“Damn, sounds like you’ll be gone for a while,” you pouted.
“Wait for me,” he said dramatically, sounding like he stepped right out of a drama.
“Eh,” you said indifferently. “We’ll see.”
Jin let out a squeaky laugh as he pretended to push you away from him, making you giggle, though he pulled you right back, catching you in a back hug. “Take a photo of us, Love.”
He repositioned his arms to wrap around your neck, his triceps resting on your shoulders as you pulled out your phone. You began taking photos, you and Jin first smiling, then Jin kissing your cheek, then you biting his forearm as he acted like he was in horrible pain. The final one was both of you falling into fits of laughter.
Moving into the photos folder, you reviewed the snapshots, Jin’s cheek pressed to yours as you looked at them with you. Looking at the photo of you both smiling, you let out a fake gasp, Jin easily playing along with an exaggerated, “huh?”
“Where did you go?” You asked pointing to the photo. “All I see is me surrounded by a bunch of pretty flowers,” you smirked at your successful joke.
“Wah,” Jin exclaimed, “that’s my girl!” You giggled at Jin’s wide smile. “I’m so proud,” he gloated, looking around at the people passing by. “My future wife, everybody.”
“Stop,” you whined, turning your face towards his to hide from the curious eyes of the strangers suddenly watching you.
Jin’s squeaky laughter returned as he brought a finger to the screen to swipe through the series of photos. When he swiped to see the final photo, of both you laughing, he took in a deep breath.
“Jesus, Love, look at you,” he admired, you looking toward the phone screen and then up at him.
“What do you mean?” You asked, genuinely confused by his reaction.
“Every time I look at you, I think I fall more in love,” he confessed, nearly knocking the wind out of you with the sincerity of which he spoke the words.
Fighting off the tears that threatened to form in your orbs, you locked the phone, tucking it away in your pocket before grabbing his hand and bringing it to your lips, leaving a sweet kiss. “You are quite possibly the mushiest person in all of existence, you know that?” You smiled at your boyfriend, Jin returning the fond expression.
“You love it,” he countered, spinning you around so you were facing him once again.
“I love you,” you replied.
As you took in the scene of your handsome boyfriend, with cherry blossom petals falling around him, a few finding their way into his dark tendrils, you really couldn’t imagine being more in love. And yet, you knew he’d somehow find a way to make you fall harder day after day, just like he had since the day you met him.

After being gone for so long, I'm finally making a post cause I can't hold this in any longer. Time to bitch about a webtoon, unholy blood.
Content warning: lots of swearing and possible homophobia(?)
I just have one particular complaint really and maybe some side complaints. I will start off by saying that the art is good. Like, no shit it's good. And I have a feeling that's why most people like it. It's part of the reason why I've been reading it. I'm not going to stop reading it because I see it as easy entertainment. That's not me insulting it. My favorite movie is the Last Dragon and that's campy as fuck.
Anyways, on to the major complaint with unholy blood. There's absolutely no tension or sense of fucking stakes in this webtoon. This is an action series so you would think that one of the major stakes would be the main character possibly losing their life, right? Or atleast a limb. No way in hell that's shit is happening. Let me fill you in on a little secret about Hayan. She's a pureblood vampire. Oh, I forgot to say that this is a vampire series, if it wasn't already obvious. She's a pureblood, which means she the most op person in this story.
The story will pretend that Hayan could get hurt or actually lose but the webtoon started in media-res so why bother. Here's an example from the top of my head. Hayan is fighting this mind control vampire and it looks like she's about to lose her heart. Surprise! Surprise! It was actually a delusion that Hayan casted cause now she can do mind control too! This is just one of the things, that once you notice, you can't put it off your mind. Hayan will face a vampire with a special ability and will gain that ability like she's megaman. Gotta hurry to the next level or...boss fight.
How am I supposed to get properly invested if the main character has nothing to lose? Yes, her father figure died but that's the whole calcayst of the story. So, you can't write that out or you don't have a story to tell. Hayan doesn't truly have any flaws that could get her into trouble. She always polite, outgoing and if she does do something a bit questionable, the side characters are quick to forgive her. Like the instance she told someone else a secret that her partner had been keeping. He doesn't get mad at her or scold her. It turns out fine and he forgives her! Like, I thought you wanted to keep that a secret?
Hayan as a character just kind of ticks me off. She does this stupid thing that I hate when other characters, well-written or not do. She has this tendency to blame the whole vampire epidemic on herself. Which doesn't make any fucking sense to me personally, no matter how many times this chick does it. It honestly just annoying and makes her seem self-centered. But no one calls her out on her bullshit? Like, Hayan, I'm pretty sure it those fucking vampires at top brass doing the fuck shit. Not you, little miss purity who was just minding her business just a week ago. I hope the story doesn't do something stupid and say it is her fault because she pureblood.
Also, I'm have some feelings about Jinha/Aeyong. Not in shipping sense but the way the narrative treats her. It's really the whole reason I was pushed to make this bitchy, ranty post. Like, the vampires we seen till this point were all assholes. Plain, regular of the mill assholes. Then we get Jinha or Ash or whatever the fuck you wanna call her. Our first impression is she's gonna be the smiley but I kill you without hesitation type. She kinda is but kinda not? She's short-tempered but helps people by regularly donating to charity. She even helped out a run of the mill girl that was getting harassed by a pimp(?). However, the narrative seems to want us to hate her like all the other villans that came before her. Which, I don't understand.
Also, there's this unfortunate lesbian stereotype regrading her backstory. That I really hated. Also, Hayan keeps wailing on her in a scene that I think is kinda dumb. She's punching her to tell her a code but it's obvious that Ash isn't going to tell her. So, why are you still punching her? She doesn't even pose a threat to Hayan cause she can easily fight back. So, you think she try changing up tactics but no. She keeps punching still time runs out. It doesn't matter though, cause as I've said previously there are ZERO stakes in this story. So, everything is fine. No one besides the lesbian got hurt.
Honestly, as I'm typing this out I don't understand what was even the entire point of this arc. Some smart people in the webtoon have pointed out that the opponents that Hayan faced are supposed to be facets of her personality. There's just one teeny tiny problem with that. I don't give a single FUCK about Hayan and her bland-ass personality. She can shove it where she found it. Her ASS.
Again, another arc where nothing of consequence was lost. I probably shouldn't expect too much in future installments.
I honestly thought this was going to be a short post, with, like one paragraph. That's how short I was going to be. I guess I had more to say than I initially thought. This was a extremely insulting post but I'm just airing out my thoughts on this webtoon because it been in my mind for awhile. Like I said before my bitching, unholy blood is popcorn entertainment. There's nothing with that. And if people like it because of that, more power to them. I am definitely one of those people. Sometimes, you just wanna watch/read something easy. I don't wanna think too hard and most masterpieces are upsetting to read when I'm in a depressive mood. Unholy Blood doesn't make me too upset unless it's touching the subject of lgbt+a/queer people.
That's all I had to say. If you've read this far, thanks. You get nothing expect enlightenment. Thank me instead. >:(
Just kidding, have a nice day, night and afterlife!

mirror masa by dathan
Damn
The waves of love came crashing down on Jeno’s head. His wish to break free from the suffocating feelings topped his head in a weighted suspense. Was he drowning from love...or high from devotional ecstasy?
“Not this. Anything but this.” He begged with his reflection in his fogged bathroom mirror. The reflective surface was cloudy with the shower steam. Yet, he could see himself clearly in the water’s trails as it cascaded down the mirror. It was one of the few times where he wasn’t high, but, his brain told him that he was anything but sober . Jeno was watching his life through his eyes like a movie.
“This isn’t real.” He muttered as he shook his head in disbelief. “you,” his words were getting trapped in his throat, “this isn’t you. You’re not real.” His hands could only grip the white marble of the countertop in hopes to ground himself to actual reality.
This was scaring him. The way he didn’t even know if his life was actually his. He didn’t love you. He couldn’t. He was incapable of love. From the hours of that sentence being shoved into his brain-- he finally believed it. However, he looked at you and knew that he was alive...and he was human. A human capable of making mistakes and finding love.
“Let’s go, Jeno. Practice started 5 minutes ago.” Jaemin knocked softly on the door. Jeno whipped the door open with a stale look on his face, “huh?” his throat was dry and felt like it was closing up by the second. The want to cry suddenly made its home in his chest. “Practice. It’s already started. We’re late.” Jaemin could only stare in confusion. Jeno hadn’t been the same for a while now and all Jaemin could do was sit back and hope he could find peace within himself.
“Oh. Yeah. Coming.” Jeno dismissed the platinum blonde boy as he grabbed his stuff and threw it in the dirty laundry bin. He grabbed his gear and was off towards the training center.
It was like his body moved on its own. He wasn’t in control-- only a passenger as he watched his life develop through eyes that didn’t seem like his own. It was if he was looking through a lens of someone else's movie-- someone else's life. His name was the only thing reassuring him that he hadn’t been switched.
Damn
When Jeno saw you, it was as if he got the moment of sanity he had been craving and itching for. “Please don’t go.” Was the only thing his autopilot flashed onto the back of his eyes.
Your skin was as soft as velvet and your embrace was nothing short of a hug from an angel. You were his personal drug. Only he could have you and he wanted it to be like that forever.
“Why do you hurt me?” Is his intimate question whenever he sees you walking away from his presence. “Please don’t leave.” He cries inside his mind, the rest of the group still surrounding him in loud and boisterous outcries of happiness as he is dying inside.
He watched you be swept away quickly by your group of friends and towards a distant adventure he wouldn’t be apart of. “Yo. Snap out of it, creep.” Jeno felt a hit to his chest and reacted seconds after the blow was laid. Renjun had his eyes trained on his far-off friend. “Sorry.” Jeno mumbled, fixing his glasses accordingly to make sure he caught one last glimpse of you.
“What’s wrong?” Renjun’s question had no appropriate answer. “I...I don’t know.” Jeno shrugged as he kicked his feet out one at a time in front of him. “You never know.” Renjun sassed as Jeno gave a cheeky smile. “I’m always here to talk. Also, on the subject of talking?” Renjun leaned in closer to whisper the next back-handed remark.
“Just talk to her. People are catching on and finding it creepy.” Renjun muttered before walking off in a lonesome daze. Jeno became more awakened and tuned in to what was happening around him. Someone caught on. The students were bustling around him and the group of teachers. It was barely noon and he was already craving the sweet release of laying in his bed alone.
The textured ceiling above his bed made perfect the kaleidoscopes for his dry and weary eyes. He made a home in his head. Where he lived with you in peace and harmony. Both of you stayed harmonious and didn’t have to experience loss anymore; happiness was a drug both of you could afford; education and a stable career were monotonous things. This life...reality didn’t exist.
“Class is about to begin. I’ll see you all later for pizza.” Hyuck was always a smooth talker and never feared a group of people. He was confident with anyone he talked with and never had a dull moment...or at least that’s what his facade portrayed. ‘See ya’s.’ were heard among the group as Hyuck grabbed Jeno and started dragging them back to their spaces.
Rockwell Hall, East Wing, Back-most Corridor. Rooms 143 and 144.
‘The Lee’s’. - the combination of teachers who worked off of each other. No one had a dull moment in the classes. It was their place. Their lives where they could manifest what they wanted. Taeyong didn’t have a say in their classrooms where the only things taught were to be real...and to live because no one was promised tomorrow.
“You okay, Jeno?” Hyuck asked as his arm was tossed over his buddy’s shoulders. “Yeah. I’m fine-” “Like,” Donghyuck raised his thumb to wipe off the bottom of his nose a couple times. “Yeah. I’m not high.” Jeno couldn’t help but chuckle at the relieved face of Hyuck. “Thank goodness. Cause I was gonna put a movie on and let my kids do whatever today. I didn’t want to have to babysit.” He laughed and Jeno could only laugh lightly.
“I need help with something.” Jeno finally blurted and the laughing had ceased entirely. “Of course. What’s going on?” Donghyuck’s arm now drooped to his side as he shoved his hand in his jean’s pocket.
“I’m in lo-” Jeno forcibly bit his tongue as he could sense Hyuck’s side eyes. He didn’t need to know how bad it is yet.
“I think I like someone.” Jeno breathed and it felt like a weight was taken off his shoulders. “Oh yeah?” Jeno’s eyes bolted around as he saw Hyuck’s feet kick tiny pebbles in their path. “Mind if I know who?” Was all that was muttered. “I’m not ready to say who yet.” The light sigh of defeat had Donghyuck knowing that this wasn’t a new problem. “Just go for it.” Was all the advice the younger boy had to offer. “What?”
The door of Rockwell Hall was opened by Hyuck as both walked into the air conditioned lobby where all the students were congregating. “Lees!” Some of the shared students waved to both of the young teachers as they made their way through the clusters of kids.
“Just go for it.” Hyuck smiled and waved to most of his students as some ran up to hand in almost-late reports and worksheets. “What do you mean by that?” Jeno was struggling to keep up with his friends thought process. “We always tell our kids that- oh hello JinHae, how are you? - that they can’t be afraid to do things.- I need to talk to you after class.” Hyuck pointed to a troubled student as they both passed. “That they can’t be afraid to do things because who knows if we’ll be here tomorrow.” Hyuck finally finished as they both walked towards the back hall.
Donghyuck had a point and Jeno hated to admit it. He needed to do it soon...or never. “And I can help you as much as you want with this mystery person.” He offered and Jeno wanted to puke at the offer. “No thanks.” He backed out of the un-agreed upon deal. They got to their rooms and stood outside of their doors. “That’s fine. But, if you ever need help-- you know where to find me, lover boy.” Hyuck winked and waltzed into his classroom in a graceful manner.
Jeno could only hang his head as he slugged into his own classroom to greet the over-achiever students. It’s as if they never left in the first place. He zoned out as he started writing some standard chemical equations on the chalk board. Students started to trickle in as Jeno’s anxiety filled his body to the brim.
The bell rang and Jeno put on the best fake smile he could as he turned around to see his students seated and eager to learn. “Good afternoon class. It’s amazing to see all of your faces once again.” The class droned on their greetings as Jeno flipped open his lesson packet. “Today’s Lesson: Ecstasy.”
I think I’m Fallin’ For You
It had been 3 weeks. 3 weeks of Jeno puking his brains out over the thought of you rejecting him. He had already said hi to you but where was he supposed to go to from here? You both had talked about mundane things that any young adult would talk about in this day and age. Jeno could feel a connection and he prayed to any higher being that you did too.
He was going to do it. He was going to confess. He just didn’t know when. But he knew that he would lose his chance if he were to wait too much longer.
Hyuck was still the only one who knew about the mystery person and was the only who was going to know for a long time. Even if it were to work out, the attention of dating on duty was too extreme. Most of the elite soldiers agreed that nothing would be revealed till the 1 year mark. Out of respect for each other, the rule has never been broken.
“Please just tell me who.” Hyuck whined as soon as the last one of Jeno’s students exited the classroom. The desperation in the man’s voice made Jeno chuckle. “Nope.” He shook his head and went back to grading the quiz he had just administered.
“I promise I won’t tell.” Jeno didn’t even acknowledge Donghyuck’s existence as he wrote a 96% on the top of the paper.
“Fine.” Hyuck came over and laid on-top of the stack of papers. “Rules, Donghyuck.” “So you confessed? And you guys are dating?” Hyuck scrambled up to start hitting Jeno’s side. “I didn’t say that.” Jeno said as he packed up his laptop and put his bag on his back.
“This is so unfair-” “It’s really not.” Jeno muttered as he looked to his friend with the grown out brown hair. “I wasn’t even supposed to tell you that I liked someone in the first place. I’m not going to willingly break a rule, excuse me, a group agreement just to gossip. If anything happens...you’ll find out eventually.” Jeno stated at the boy who had his arms crossed.
“Fine. Be stubborn. See if I care.” Hyuck started to walk out of the room and into his own classroom. Jeno thought he was home free. “Are you coming to get beers with us or not?” Jeno called out and the younger boy swung his head into the door opening. “No. I have a couple more papers to grade then I’m going to the gym.” Hyuck ran a hand through his hair. Jeno brushed it off as he was just happy to stop the before conversation.
“Also. I better be the best man at your damn wedding in 2 years-” “Out.” Jeno raised his voice. He could hear Donghyuck giggle his way into the other classroom. Jeno grabbed his stuff and headed out of the door and down the hall.
He was going to go out with his friends tonight. He was going to forget his problems and just let loose and live free. He wasn’t promised tomorrow so he was going to make sure he forgot tonight if he was alive by the morning.
The beer shelf was wiped clean by the group of elites in the on-base bar. “We need to go clubbing.” Lele said and everyone turned to him boozed up and unaware. “Lele...you’re so young,” Mark laid his hand heavily on Chenle’s right shoulder, “but you’re so smart, I’ll get Johnny to drive!” Mark said as he grabbed his phone and had a hard time getting his passcode in.
A group of cheers were heard as Mark went outside to dial the chauffeur for the night’s activities. “It’s 10 o’clock? Where the hell is the son of a bitch?” Jaemin slurred as he laid over the shoulder of his best friend.
“At the gym. I’ll go fetch him and drag him along.” Jeno who was the most sober out of the group decided that the night was incomplete without Hyuck. “You tell him that I’ll kick his ass if he doesn’t show up.” Jaemin whispered groggily into Jeno’s ear. “Will do, Jae.” Jeno laughed as he got up and shoved Jaemin down into the stool with a deep groan.
Jeno cascaded out of the bar and into the courtyard. “No. You listen to me Johnny-hyung. You drive or I drive-Stop yelling I was joking.” Mark slurred on his words. Jeno could hear Johnny through the phone. He wouldn’t be happy to take them but he still would. The fear of guilt looming over the oldest’s head.
Jeno’s feet carried him towards the gym where Hyuck was, benching the night away. For the first time he hasn’t thought about you- awe wait...he just did. He cursed out loud and slapped a hand over his mouth with a giggle. He turned to make sure no one heard and laughed himself to the gym.
He walked in the door and no one was there. No students...no Donghyuck.
“He fell asleep doing papers again.” Jeno gasped and chuckled lightly as he walked back out the door and twirled over to Rockwell Hall. “Rockwell...Rocks...Drugs...” Jeno had fun tying words together as he opened the main door to the lobby. The marble floors were free from any students or teachers.
“I’m coming to get you.” Jeno whispered as he got down and ran down the main hall. He tripped halfway and ended up rolling a couple of halls down. Jeno sang his own special effects music as he tried to do cartwheels and more flips down the hall.
His back hit the wall right around the corner of the back hall. The lights shone from Hyuck’s classroom. “All clear, kkrrkrk.” Jeno copied the sound of a walkie-talkie as he continued to roll down the hall. He stopped right infront of the open door and stood up. He looked left and right. “Cover me, I’m going in. kkrkkrk.” Jeno swooped into the lit up classroom. Jeno was ready to run towards the desk and pick up his best friend to sweep him off to a night on the town.
There he caught you and Hyuck making out in the empty classroom. You were sitting on the desk with him pushed up to you. His hands gripped your face like Jeno imagined he would. Your own delicate hands grabbed bunches of his best friend’s black t-shirt. Jeno’s best friend.
You both were too in the heat of the moment to hear the sound of Jeno’s heart cracking into a million pieces.
“Uh.” Jeno could only drone a little. It was enough to break you both up. Donghyuck stood in front of you as you tried to shield your face. But it was too late. Jeno could’ve spotted your face from a mile away. He already knew too much.
“Hey, Jeno. What’s up?” Hyuck tried to de-puff his face in the moment. Jeno’s eyes started to gather tears as if they were going to run out. The long silence made all of you get an ache in the stomach.
“10 months.” Was all Hyuck said and Jeno tried sealing up his feelings as soon as they were escaping. Jeno nodded, still too intoxicated to feel anything but numb. Donghyuck didn't steal you from him...you were never his in the first place.
He was sent into auto-pilot again. Where he was just in attendance to the premiere of his heart break. He wasn’t real. None of this was.
“I’m happy for you.” Jeno nodded and an unimaginable weight was taken off of Donghyuck’s shoulders. His shoulder dropped and a smile came onto the longer-haired boy’s face.
“Thank you.” He nodded with a genuine smile. Jeno didn’t dare look at you even though you stood behind Jeno’s best friend. You were so close but he finally realized that he would never be able to get closer.
“We were going out to the club. Jaemin said he would beat your ass if you didn’t come.” The alcohol was talking again as Jeno numbed himself to all the pain that was crashing down on him like harsh waves.
“Oh. Well.” Donghyuck seemed flustered as he looked around and finally behind him to where you stood as stiff as a board. “I’m a little busy tonight. I promise next time I’ll buy a round.” Hyuck tried to compromise with the upmost form of sincerity.
“Alright, deal.” Jeno mused and came closer to dap up his best friend.
“I’ll catch you tomorrow then at practice.” Jeno hummed as he showed himself the door. “Jeno. Wait.” Jeno turned around to look at Hyuck.
He had never seen his most confident friend riddled with so much fear.
“Please.” Was all he said and Jeno already knew what he meant.
“Don’t worry. 2 more months.” He waved Hyuck off and the confidence washed over his friend’s face once more.
As soon as Jeno turned the corner, his tears fell in hot lines.
This wasn’t real. None of this was.
He met the rest of the group near the entrance once he got rid of his tears and hurt.
“Whats wrong?” Renjun asked and Jeno sighed. “I know what’s wrong.” Jeno nodded to himself. Jeno was finally confronting his feelings. “Are you going to tell me?” Renjun asked and Jeno only shook his head no. “No.” Now that he knew what was wrong, he wasn’t going to broadcast it to the world. “Fine. I’ll just bug you tomorrow- Wait. Where’s the sober one?” Renjun asked as he realized Jeno came back alone.
“Donghyuck is stuck making lesson plans. He promised to buy us all a round next time though.” Jeno relayed the message. “I won’t kick his ass then. This time.” Jaemin sang as he dolphin dived into the van.
They all climbed in the van. Jeno was the last one in as he rested his head against the window.
He watched the city light streak as his tears rolled down. Jeno wasn’t sad. He was happy. Jeno knew that you would be happy with Hyuck. Hyuck could give you things that Jeno wished he could have. But, he’s happy knowing your happy...
...even if it hurt like hell to realize he wasn’t going to be the one you fell for...

Pairing: Mark x Jinyoung
Word count: 1,494
Genre: Fluff, small bit of angst
Summary: Mark and Jinyoung have been dancing around each other for so long, and with such differing personalities. It's no wonder when they finally get together it's chaotic, all the way up to their wedding.
Warning(s): Cursing, mentions of a panic attack
Prompts: (1)"Are you asking me out at a Target?"
(2) Sometimes a nap with the people you love most is the best medicine.
(3) Person A knows a second language. Person b doesn't realize and talks about how amazing a is. Person A doesn't reveal it until the wedding
This is written for @got7writerscollective’s Virgo Project! I hope you enjoy it, I wrote 80% of it this morning.
Mark is not happy. That much Jinyoung knows. He doesn't know exactly why his roommate's best friend is angry, but he'll at least try to tide him over until Jackson is back from fencing. Unfortunately, Mark's anger is not easily swayed. Jinyoung offered him a glass of water, let him watch TV, and went and got McDonald's for him (Jinyoung doesn't even eat McDonald's). But Mark is still mad, and Jinyoung doesn't want to eat these fries by himself. They're so...greasy. Not like the fries back home.
"You know, you don't have to entertain me until Jackson's here. Jinyoung?" Mark's first words to him of the night startle Jinyoung out of his funk. Jinyoung doesn't answer, instead taking a bite out of his burger to avoid answering. He regrets it immediately, tasting the unnecessary amount of oil in the patty. Mark watches him, still annoyed but now slightly amused as well. "You don't even like McDonald's, why'd you go buy it?"
"I don't know, maybe because when someone you know is angry you usually try to cheer them up? You like McDonald's, right?" Jinyoung offers, and Mark laughs.
"Yeah. I'm sure you could tell from how often Jackson and I came here smelling of McDonald's." Jinyoung shrugs.
"I actually asked Jackson. Whenever you came over I was usually in my room." Jinyoung gives up the piece of information without a thought, and Mark smirks, anger now apparently forgotten.
"You ask about me?" Jinyoung splutters and chokes on his iced tea at the sudden question, grabbing a napkin to wipe his mouth.
"I mean, I gotta know at least a little bit about who Jackson brings over. Plus, it was only one time," he tries to cover up, but Mark is having none of that. He leans across the table towards Jinyoung, who leans back, confused about the attitude.
"Then let's get to know each other. My name is Mark Tuan, I was born in Los Angeles, lived here all my life. Nice to meet you."
Jinyoung laughs but complies. "Hi. I'm Park Jinyoung. I was born and raised in Jinhae-gu, Korea, but moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting. It's nice to meet you as well." Mark grins even wider, if that is possible, vaguely reminding Jinyoung of a lion smiling at a mouse. He leans even closer, opening his mouth to speak.
"Jinyoung, I'm home!" Jackson chose this moment to come back and enter the kitchen, seeing his two friends in a compromising position. "I am no longer home," he changes his mind and starts to back out of the room.
"Jackson! Hi! Welcome home! Please go and entertain your friend!" Jinyoung practically leaps out of his seat, and Mak leans back, grinning and satisfied. Jackson is shoved towards the kitchen table, and Jinyoung quickly retreats into his room.
"Okay. What did you do to him, Mark?" Jackson sits down with a thump, grabbing a handful of Jinyoung's fries.
Mark doesn't answer his question, taking a sip of his coke instead. "我喜欢你的朋友, 王嘉爾."
ฉันรักคุณ
"Why am I here?" Mark complains while Jinyoung tunes him out. "When you asked me to help you, I didn't think you'd make me go grocery shopping."
"Well, you were the one who practically forced me to become friends with you. If you inquired about me to Jackson, you'd have realized this is what I consider fun." Mark groans, flopping across the top of the shopping cart. Jinyoung doesn't spare him a glance, debating between two bags of onions.
"Get up off the cart, Mark. I need to put stuff in there." Mark ignores him, and Jinyoung slaps his backside, trying to get him off.
"Oh yes, please, do it again," Mark deadpans, and Jinyougn's ears turn bright red.
"Shut up!" he hisses, looking around to make sure no passerby can hear him. "Oh, my God, you're so damn annoying." Mark just grins up at him with his fucking vampire teeth.
"No." And with that word, Jinyoung knows he's done in for. Mark immediately flops onto his knee, reaching out for Jinyoung who slowly backs away. "Oh, Jinyoung, the love of my life! I apologize I do not have anything to give you, but will you do me the honor of marrying you?"
"Oh my God Mark stop that! Are you asking me out at a Target?" Jinyoung holds the two bags of onions to his chest, not dissimilar to someone clutching their pearls. Mark does not budge, and a crowd of people stops what they're doing, looking on in bewilderment.
"Jinyoung, please give me an answer, for I love you with all my heart and soul!" If not for his eyes that crinkle up whenever pranking, Jinyoung would've honestly believed him.
"What the fuck? Mark?" Jinyoung is willing to say anything to stop this. "Oh my God, fine, just get up off the floor, Jesus." Mark smiles once again, proud, and stands up. Jinyoung, ears red, just tosses both bags of onions in without paying attention, and pushes the cart as fast as would be acceptable in a Target. He gets through the checkout and to the car with Mark tailing after him, but once he packs all the groceries away, Mark corners him.
"So. Wanna go on a date with me, 可爱?" Jinyoung gapes, and Mark laughs, all high pitched and contrasting to his voice just moments prior. Jinyoung really, really wants to say no, but before he can stop himself, he mutters out a-
"Yes."
Goddammit.
And now they have two bags of onions.
انا احبك
Jinyoung trudges through the door, and as soon as he toes his shoes off and walks two feet to the left, he flops onto the couch. A shoulder hits him square in the face instead of the couch he was expecting. "What the hell?" Jinyoung whines without really removing his face.
"If you actually looked, Nyoungie, you'd have realized I am on the couch." A familiar warm voice teases lightly, and Jinyoung peers through his bangs to see Mark grinning down at him. However, even the sight of his boyfriend of two months doesn't make Jinyoung any happier.
"Hi" is all Jinyoung can muster, before burying his face back into Mark's shoulder. Mark, understandably a bit more worried, carefully shifts his arm from under Jinyoung's stomach and around his back.
"Is everything all right?" Jinyoung grunts, the sound muffled by Mark's boney shoulder.
"Bad day, didn't have a good shoot on set." Mark makes a sound of understanding, rubbing small circles into Jinyoung's back. "Had a panicking moment, got a break from filming for a bit."
Mark doesn't reply, just humming a bit under his breath. Once Jinyoung gets all his worries out, Mark gives him a quick kiss on the top of Jinyoung's head. It smells like the weird lavender shampoo Jinyoung is obsessed with. "Want to nap with me?" Jinyoung grunts his approval, and Mark relaxes onto the couch with his boyfriend.
When Mark wakes up, it appears Jackson has also joined the cuddle party, half on and half off Jinyoung's back. Jinyoung is still sleeping, and Mark smiles at Jackson. "我爱你的朋友," is all Mark says, and Jackson nods once. He approved, and that's all Mark needs. "Thank you."
אני אוהב אותך
Mark didn't know how he got this far. When he asked Jinyoung out in a Target he thought Jinyoung would say no. Jinyoung is still extremely pissed about that incident and refuses to enter a Target again. When he helped Jinyoung through his bad days, he still thought someday, Jinyoung would say no. When he proposed to Jinyoung, he expected a no. So when Jinyoung looks at him in front of the officiant (Jaebeom had insisted on officiating once he realized his baby brother was getting married) Mark is understandably overwhelmed.
"Mark," Jinyoung hisses at him, and Mark suddenly remembers that he has to say his vows.
"Nyongie. Jinnie. Jinyoungie, Jinyoung. The love of my life. I've loved you ever since that day at Target-" Jinyoung glares at Mark, but says nothing "-and I'm sorry about that, by the way. And I've never expected to get this far. But I'm glad you decided I am the one you are willing to be with. And I hope to go to many more Targets with you. I hope to be there for your bad days. I hope to have more three in the morning McDonald's runs with you, even if you don't quite like fast food. And I know I will love you until the end of time."
Jinyoung smiles, eyes wet, and starts his vows. "Mark Tuan, you are so annoying. And yet, I love that about you. I love that you embarrass me in front of customers at Target. I love that you nap with me. I love you, in general. And I love how you think you're so sneaky, complimenting me in Mandarin. 你是一个白痴. But you're my idiot, and will be until the day we die."
"How the fuck did you learn Mandarin?"
我爱你
---
The line breaks are “I love you” in Thai, Hebrew, and Chinese. The title is also I love you in Chinese.
“我喜欢你的朋友, 王嘉爾” means “I like your friend, Wang Jia Er”
“可爱” means “cute”
“我爱你的朋友” means “I love your friend”
“你是一个白痴” means “you’re an idiot”

If I Drink This...
In which Park Jinyoung turns out to have more flaws than you originally imagined.
Word Count: .3.4k+
Warnings: Nothing much. Maybe language, a little bit of drunkenness. Sort of office!au. I tried a different style of writing/experimental format with this so tell me what you guys think, please!
Tumblr media
Every woman meets a Park Jinyoung at least once in her lifetime.
The Park Jinyoungs of the world are undeniably and classically handsome. They’re usually rich and successful; mostly because of their own hard work and intelligence and capabilities. Park Jinyoungs are also quiet and mysterious. They never reveal too much about themselves but they also have soft, kind smiles that can make your heart skip a beat. They’re gentlemen who are extremely well-mannered, yet know how to stand up for themselves and the weak when the time comes. They’ll open doors for you and offer to carry your files and greet you every morning. They look handsome in glasses and gorgeous in suits.
Park Jinyoungs have no flaws, you see. That’s what makes them a Park Jinyoung.
They are also utterly, miserably and painfully out of your league.
Most Park Jinyoungs you meet will only be passing clouds in your life because while they treat women well and never say a hurtful word to them (even to the evil ones), there’s no reason for them to stop and stay with you. You can never make a Park Jinyoung yours. Park Jinyoungs are perfect and they settle for nothing less than perfection.
Are you perfect?
I didn’t think so.
So don’t even bother. A Park Jinyoung will linger in your dreams forever, but he will never stay in your life for long.
--
You met the Park Jinyoung of Park Jinyoungs on a cold, winter morning.
You had just made it to work (almost late because of a near-disaster where you’d skidded on some ice that had formed on the driveway in front of your apartment and that had luckily left you with nothing more than a sore butt) when you got a call from the CFO asking you to come to his office immediately. You hurriedly smoothed down your clothing and prayed that you weren’t in trouble.
Park Jinyoung was sitting in a chair across from the CFO’s desk and he stood up as soon as you entered the room. You knew he was a Park Jinyoung from his startlingly handsome face and the soft yet reserved smile on his lips. He had dark eyes that seemed trustworthy and kind. All Park Jinyoungs were like that. They came off as perfect human beings and made women like you weak in the knees.
Women like you.
Not you.
You knew how to deal with Park Jinyoungs and the first and most important step was to never let yourself fall for them. This applied to most men, sure, but this rule was particularly important when it came to Park Jinyoungs. Once you fall for them, it’s impossible to hate them because of how perfect they are. But they will never return your feelings. So you will be left in a limbo unable to love him because he doesn’t care for you in return, yet unable to hate him because he’s so perfect that hating him makes you a bad person.
So just don’t fall, okay?
“Ah, you’re here!” the CFO greeted you brightly. “Remember how Mr. Lee retired last month? Well, we’ve finally found him a wonderful replacement. Meet Mr. Park Jinyoung, we’ve had him transferred here from the Jinhae-gu branch as our new Financial Operations Manager.”
Park Jinyoung politely offered his hand for you to shake. You obliged, trying not to think about how warm his fingers were or how firm yet gentle his grasp was. Jinyoung was looking you straight in the eyes with a smile and you forced yourself to meet his gaze.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Park,” you greeted politely. “I manage the Marketing team downstairs.”
The CFO smiled. “I thought I’d introduce you both to each other since you’re going to be working together over the next couple of weeks. The corporate office has decided that we need to devise some more new marketing schemes for some of our slow-moving products. Hopefully Mr. Park Jinyoung will be able to help us find the money to get some of these marketing schemes off the ground, eh?”
Jinyoung bowed and nodded politely. “I’ll do my best, sir.”
Of course he would. He was a Park Jinyoung.
--
You had to admit that Jinyoung was a delight to work with. He was amazing at what he did and while his predecessor, Mr. Lee, had always been extremely slow to approve your budget requests and liked to repeat like a parrot that the company simply didn’t have enough money for your “useless” marketing schemes, Jinyoung was extremely understanding. He often invited you to have lunch with him and to discuss the various projects that your team was hoping to get into.
“Do you think this is financially feasible?” you’d ask him nervously after you explained your new marketing strategy to him. Jinyoung was brutally honest but somehow also extremely optimistic. He never told you to completely scrap a plan or that it was over budget. He merely asked if he could take some time to go over the numbers, and the next day you’d have an email in your inbox with a list of things that you should consider cutting in order to make the plan viable.
Sometimes, he gave you a soft smile and shrugged. “If we don’t have the money then we’ll find the money,” Jinyoung would say with a chuckle. “I’m not going to be responsible for making you scrap such a well-thought out marketing plan. Your team has done your job and now we should do ours.”
Park Jinyoung is a smooth talker. They all are.
A couple of the receptionists liked to gossip that Jinyoung didn’t have a girlfriend and that maybe, just maybe he was gay. Why else would such a handsome and well-behaved man not have a woman in his life? But you knew better. The problem wasn’t which sex Jinyoung was attracted to. Park Jinyoungs are attracted to perfection and that’s almost impossible to find. It was what you reminded yourself every time your heart skipped a beat at the sight of Jinyoung or when you found yourself staring at his gorgeous lips. His gentle chuckle and the soft twinkle in his eyes was attractive but such attractive men come with a price.
No. The Park Jinyoungs of the world are scary, scary people.
Nothing terrifies you more than perfection.
How can a man have no flaws?
It’s unnatural.
No, you would have to settle for the ordinary and mortal beings of the world.
--
“It’s uh, it’s compulsory to bring a date. Remember?” Jackson pointed out when you told him that you planned to go to the college reunion party by yourself. You were just grabbing your morning coffee when you ran into him grabbing his own caffeine dosages. The Jackson Wangs of the world were the opposite of the Park Jinyoungs. They were loud and outgoing, wore their hearts on their sleeves and were just a little bit too nosy at times. “Didn’t you look at the invitation? It says that everyone has to come with a date.”
You frowned. “That’s absurd. I thought they were just saying you can bring a date-“
“No, you have to,” Jackson insisted as he took a huge gulp of his coffee and started to stir sugar into his second cup. He let out a small belch and you winced. Jackson Wangs often got a little too comfortable around their friends. “Because each invitation admits two people to the reunion and all food and drinks once inside are free. If you don’t bring a date then that means you’re wasting the organizational team’s funds. The hotel is going to charge us for two people per invitation anyway so you might as well bring somebody to come and have fun,” Jackson pointed out.
“I can’t think of anyone to invite. You have your own invitation already.”
Jackson brightened up. “You should invite Jinyoung!”
“Park Jinyoung? From Finance?”
“Yeah! Come on, he’s only lived here for three months and I’m sure he doesn’t have a lot of friends in this city. And he’s the head of his department so it’s not as if he can go chill and hang out with his subordinates. You’re one of the few people he knows in this office who doesn’t work under him so you should help him settle in and have some fun!”
You sighed. “Just as a friend, though.”
“Yeah, yeah. Just as a friend.”
You had to admit that the thought was a little exciting. You would never actually ask a Park Jinyoung out on a date because that was doomed to failure and eventual heartbreak, but you still liked the idea of hanging out with him outside of work. You dropped by Jinyoung’s office during lunch and asked him if he wanted to join you at the reunion party that evening since you had an extra invite. Jinyoung looked calm but his eyes brightened and he nodded.
“That sounds fun!” Jinyoung told you, and you had to stop your heart from exploding at the sudden charming smile he gave you. Dammit, why does he have to be so handsome? “It’s really nice of you to think of me. I’d love to come. Should I bring anything?”
You shook your head. “Nope. Just yourself.”
And your adorable butt would be nice.
“Okay. I’ll see you there!”
--
Nothing draws people’s attention like having a Park Jinyoung on your arm at a party.
He was the center of attention and you weren’t surprised. Jinyoung cleaned up well. He had chosen to wear a pair of jeans that made his already adorable butt look all the more delicious, and a light blue button-down shirt. He had rolled up the sleeves to expose his forearms and you had never realized that you could be so turned on by a man’s forearms before. They had always seemed like a rather mundane body part but Jinyoung’s were considerably attractive.
Park Jinyoungs always look classy. You should have known.
“Oh wow! Is this your boyfriend?” were the most common words that you heard that night. To your surprise, Jinyoung always looked a little bashful whenever someone approached the two of you to ask that question. You calmly explained to everyone who asked that no, he was not your boyfriend he was just a colleague and they all looked a little happier for it. You weren’t the only one who thought that Park Jinyoung was out of your league. It was a universally acknowledged fact.
Besides, your college classmates were all aware that you almost never dated. You were known for being hopelessly single.
Jinyoung was quiet but he had a small smile on his face and he seemed to be enjoying himself. A lot of drinks were passed around at the reunion and he politely accepted everything that was offered to him including a tequila shot that Jackson egged him into doing. Jinyoung’s cheeks flushed pink but he exhibited no signs that he was drunk. It was only when he suddenly, in a slightly unexpected gesture of affection, wrapped his arm around your shoulder that you wondered if he was all right.
“Are you doing okay, Jinyoung?” you asked while patting him on the shoulder.
Jinyoung gave you a small smile. “I’m fine!” he insisted. Then his lips turned down into a slight frown as he leaned closer to look into your eyes. “Are you fine? Do you want to leave? You should tell me if you want to leave.”
“I don’t mind staying for a little while longer,” you admitted. “I have a few friends that I haven’t caught up with yet.”
“Okay! You should do that! You should go and catch up with them!” he told you eagerly. “I’ll go find Jackson, I’m fine…”
You smiled at his bright eyes and flushed cheeks. The Park Jinyoungs of the world are also somehow extremely well-behaved when they’re drunk. You had to admire his capacity for alcohol and he seemed to be all right despite the large number of drinks he’d had so you left him in the care of Jackson and went to go find a couple of your friends. Most of them gushed over how handsome and charming Jinyoung was. Where did you find him? they all wanted to know. Why aren’t you dating him? How can you work beside such a handsome and perfect man and not want to jump him?
If only they knew.
You were interrupted by a loud cheering noise coming from a group nearby. You turned to see what was happening and noticed that Jinyoung was standing at the head of the group, his entire face having turned pink as people called out his name. You hurried over and pushed your way to the table where Jackson was mixing a drink. He added vodka, soju and tequila to the glass while everyone watched and then offered it to Jinyoung as a bunch of other men cheered him on.
“Wait, hold on!” you cried over the chants of ‘Jinyoung! Jinyoung!’ “What’s wrong with you guys? Don’t make him drink that, doesn’t he look drunk enough already? What the hell did you even put in that anyway?”
Jackson beamed at you. “A little bit of everything.”
Jinyoung was still holding the offensive glass with the dubious mixture and staring at it. His eyes were a little unfocused and you were positive that nothing good would come out of him drinking a cocktail made by Jackson Wang. But before you could protest further, Jinyoung suddenly looked up and his dark eyes met yours. He stared at you for a long time. You could only look back at the handsome man in silence while he took a deep breath and then held up the glass in your direction.
“If I drink this in one shot,” Jinyoung announced suddenly. “Then I want you to date me.”
There was no doubt that he was addressing you. The crowd of guys went silent and all eyes turned to you. Your entire face burned red in embarrassment and humiliation. Did he really just say that? Does he think he’s in some kind of drama? What the hell is wrong with him? A couple of guys began to wolf-whistle and you wanted to die. But before you could even think of a reply Jinyoung had lifted the glass to his lips and tipped the entire thing into his mouth. His eyes squeezed shut and his lips puckered from the tang of the alcohol but all the people surrounding had already erupted into cheers.
Somebody grabbed your arm and pushed you closer to Jinyoung.
“Whoooo! Now kiss!” one of the guys cheered.
You were snapped back to reality. What? You were not about to kiss a drunk Jinyoung in public in front of all your college classmates. Jinyoung had finally recovered from the terrible drink and was looking at you with his dark gaze but you only felt irritated. Did he really think it was a good idea to embarrass you in front of so many people like this? Even if he did like you then what kind of a shitty and cheap way was this to confess?
You pushed everyone away and stormed out of the hotel.
To your surprise, Jinyoung came running after you. He was a little unsteady on his feet and his dark hair that had been neatly parted earlier in the evening was now flopping into his eyes. But he looked worried and upset as he tried to keep up with your long, angry strides. He finally caught up to you in the deserted parking lot. “Wait! Are you angry? I’m really sorry. I didn’t mean to upset you, honestly-“
“Oh? Then exactly what were you planning with that stupid stunt?” you demanded, fuming. “Are you trying to make fun of me? Because I’m one of the only girls there who doesn’t have a boyfriend and because you pity me? Well you know what Park Jinyoung? I don’t need your pity. I’m not single because I can’t get myself guy, I’m single because no guy is good enough to tempt me or worth me spending my time and energy on. Is that understood?”
Jinyoung looked at you for a long moment, his head bowed. “I know,” he mumbled.
“What do you know?” you asked.
“I know you’re out of my league, okay? I’m sorry. I really didn’t mean to humiliate you. I just thought… you were standing there and I was drunk and you just looked so beautiful and I like you so much and the mood was so good that the words just slipped out of my mouth. I feel like a complete idiot.”
You stared at him in disbelief. “What did you just say?”
Jinyoung cleared his throat and looked down at you nervously. You stared up at the handsome man as he nervously ran his fingers through his dark hair. “I, uh, I said that I feel like a complete idiot-“
“No, I understood that. But did you just say that I was out of your league?”
Jinyoung blinked at you for a long moment before he sighed. He bit his gorgeous lips. You could feel your heartbeat thudding loudly in your chest. Jinyoung’s dark eyes stared into yours as he cleared his throat and spoke a little more clearly.
“Girls like you are completely out of my league. You’re beautiful and you’re intelligent and you’re so capable and independent. You’re the sort of girl who believes that she doesn’t need a man in her life and so it takes a really perfect man to change your mind about that. I should have known that I was headed for heartbreak. Girls like you don’t go for a guy like me.”
You stared at him. “You’re wrong.”
“Am I? Then why have you never showed any interest in me?”
“That’s because…” because I thought you were too perfect, you told yourself but you realized that he wasn’t. Park Jinyoung wasn’t perfect. He had just gotten extremely drunk and confessed to you in what was literally the cockiest manner possible in front of a group of people. He wasn’t perfect in the slightest. “That’s because I thought you were out of my league,” you admitted softly.
Jinyoung raised an eyebrow. “Really?”
“Really.”
There was a long, awkward silence as the two of you stared at each other. Jinyoung took a deep breath and then suddenly stepped forward to take both of your hands in his. You were shocked by how close he was and how he lifted a hand to gently cup your cheek. “I’m so sorry. I should have known better than to make a scene in public like that. Can you tell me how you would want me to confess so that I can do it the right way? I don’t… I don’t want this to be the end of this.”
You bit your lip and smiled up at him. “Well… I think a confession should be intimate.”
Jinyoung nodded. “Hmm.”
“And by that, I mean that there shouldn’t be anybody else around. It should just be the two of them. And… preferably at night. In a not-so-well-lit place. It should be genuine and sincere but not too cheesy. I don’t like beating around the bush. And most importantly… it should come from a guy who genuinely cares about you.”
Jinyoung squeezed your hands lightly. “We’re alone now. There’s nobody else in this parking lot.”
You smiled. “True.”
“And… it’s night. The only light around here is the streetlight over there.”
“Yeah.”
Jinyoung took a deep breath and stepped closer to you. “I’ve been crazy about you ever since I first met you. I like everything about you. I’ve always told myself never to fall for girls like you because you’re so perfect and it’s so hard to live up to the standards that you want and deserve but with you, I really want to try. So will you…”
Your heart skipped a beat as you beamed up at him. “Yes?”
Jinyoung’s smile dropped from his face and he suddenly dropped your hands and lifted them to his own mouth. “Will you move? I think I’m going to puke.”
You stepped aside just in time to allow Jinyoung to run over to a nearby bush and regurgitate the night’s alcohol. He was bent over with his hands on his knees, jeans tight over his adorable ass while he threw up loudly and you couldn’t help but sigh and run your hand over your face.
You had discovered a number of Park Jinyoung’s flaws tonight. As you walked over to the retching man and patted his back comfortingly and handed him some water to drink, a small smile crossed your face.
Perhaps Park Jinyoung wasn’t just a Park Jinyoung after all. He was much more than that.
He was your Park Jinyoung.
All the other women would just have to find their own.

Literally no one:
Me: *invites self to the party & writes a poem about main man, Got7’s very own Park Jinyoung*
(Idea originated from @tuanamino)
(Yes, I’m aware of the amount of cheese and cringe. Yes, it doesn’t perfectly rhyme. Yes, I don’t care anymore.)
Tumblr media
(Only iGot7 kids will get all these references, sorry, sucks to suck)
You and I
We are one and the same
Both of us kinda think the maknaes are lame
We’ve got soft spots for Jackson and Mark in our hearts
We’re nice and polite until Bam starts to fart
Intelligent eyes always scanning the room
Savage remarks bringing members to their doom
Wearing three T-shirts from a place of doubt
Self-conscious hand over a laughing mouth
Chuckling royally only seldom times
Dramatic outbursts I just don’t seem to mind
You carry yourself with pride,
Standing tall like a prince
And I haven’t been able to look at white boys the same since
You sang about a cold winter being turned into spring
And it’s funny that you beat me to what I was meaning to mean
Your lyrics keep tumbling all around in my head
Your songs giving me the strength to get out of bed
You never feared the truths that were hard to swallow
You give Ahgase reasons to look forward to tomorrow
You’re a mirror
My shadow
Pessimists only trying to recover
We both have so much of ourselves left to discover
Look at you now
Acting every day
Growing along the way
Not giving a damn about what anyone has to say
You could put down your hand
You could step away from the band
Return to cherry blossom festivals,
sisters, and sand
You could go back to Jinhae,
and live out of sight
But you will always be a shining star in Ahgase eyes

Kennedy coming home at like 3am going to Brooklyn’s room. Thank goodness Dae had Jinhae that night.
“Wake up!” Kennedy hissed.
Brooklyn cracked an eye open. “W-what??? What happened? Is my baby?!”
“No! I have a question! Has Daesung ever…::hand gesture:: on your face?”
Brooklyn sat up. “You mean a facial…”
“Yes that!” Kennedy whispered. “Has he?”
Brooklyn nodded. “Yeah. It’s not a big deal. It’s like getting sprayed with water. Thick water. The most important thing is that they need to have good aim or you’re gonna go blind.”
Kennedy just nodded. “Thick water…gross…”
“Unnie it’s 3:15am. Why did you really wake me up?”
“Tae and I were doing hand and mouth stuff. Normally when he…finishes he does it in a Kleenex or he will finish himself off in the bathroom….Now if I’m feeling bold enough he will finish on my chest/stomach.” breathes out.
Brook just raises an eyebrow. “….okay….”
“Basically what I’m trying to say is that he wanted to finish on my face. I however freaked out and pushed him off because I don’t know I got scared…” Kennedy sighed.
Brooklyn hugged her sister. “Well I am proud of you for telling me first off and there’s really nothing to worry about. Some women like and some women don’t.”
“But what if he doesn’t wanna do anything like that with me again?” Kennedy whispered.
Brooklyn sucked her teeth. “That Man worships the ground you walk on and loves you so much. I highly doubt that him not nutting on your face is going to deter him from ever doing anything sexual with you again.”
Kennedy just nods her head. She moved to get off the bed for Brooklyn grabbed her hand.
“What sissy?” She asked while Brooklyn smiled that devilish smile.
“Please forgive me if I sound crude Unnie but do you spit or swallow?” Brooklyn asked innocently. “Doing both is fun… but be careful because some people are allergic to having semen in their stomach if you do swallow Unnie.”
Kennedy blushed hard and powered walked out of her little sister’s room. She groaned as she heard Brooklyn chuckling as she move down the hall to her room.
I love this because it shows just how close Kennedy and Brooklyn are 🥰after this, I can see her talking about it with Tae-wook and he’d be shocked that she would even think he wouldn’t be interested anymore 😂

: 🤯 GOT7′S “YOU ARE” M/V CONNECTION PT. 1 :
GOT7 is a seven member boy group formed by JYP Entertainment. They released their 7th mini album, 7 For 7, and their title track M/V, You Are on October 17, 2017. In this blog, I am going to be talking about connections and theories of the You Are M/V.
Tumblr media
above: “You Are” M/V Screenshot (members from left to right: Mark, Jackson, Youngjae, JB, Jinyoung, BamBam, and Yugyeom.)
As you all can see in the “You Are” Image Video all their’s solo shots start with them looking at their part of the logo. The logo of GOT7 had 7 parts and each one of them has a part of the logo which means they are destined to meet to complete each other and the Got7 logo. They can not be complete until they end up meeting each other. See the MV below if you still haven’t
I would be presenting the theory by analyzing the lyrics of the song. But before I start I must say this that what I have been able to spot was that the MV is kind of based on how they met and how they all came together. Also, “You Are” had a subtle connection to Flight Log Trilogy.
Lyrics sung by Jinyoung:
Meaningless days
As I'm getting used to it
As I'm getting tired of iT
We see Jinyoung sitting somewhere in a sea area facing the sea holding his part of the logo and then he’s spotted in a place surrounded by apartment buildings. He looks back as if he is planning to go away from the place he is in. He is the one who starts the song. As I said above the MV is based on how their lives were and how they met so this indicates that he is in his hometown “Jinhae” which is near the sea and in the north of South Korea, very far away from Seoul. The meaning that lyrics indicate is that he feels his life is meaningless as if he doesn’t have a good reason to breathe. He is incomplete and gets lonelier and tired of his life day by day so he needs to find the perfect reason for him staying alive. This also indicates that hasn’t met Jaebum yet. He is still in his hometown and hasn’t left for Seoul.
Lyrics sung by Yugyeom:
I close my eyes and think about you
My heart is beating
The beating is getting louder baby
Now this is one of the most interesting parts of the whole MV. Now these lyrics are sung by Yugyeom but what’s interesting is he is standing with Youngjae which is quite surprising. I kept on wondering what connection did they have before they met as GOT7. This means there is a deeper connection between them two. I’ll be explaining that further in the theory. The scenes then shift to him singing in the underground kind of place. We already know he was part of a underground crew so that means he looks out the underground wondering what is the outside world of singing and dancing like. The possible meaning of the lyrics that I have thought of is that he thinks about what his life will be like once he discovers the reason for his existence. He has no idea what future will bring but he knows there is a reason for his existence which gives him hope which makes his heart beat more and make him feel alive.
Lyrics sung by Jackson:
More than half of my day is empty
The depth of my heart won't be filled
Getting bigger, deeper and wider
What I'm feeling right now is like before the sun up
Next we see Jackson who is sitting somewhere surrounded by apartment buildings holding his part of the logo. He looks confused and stuck between what to choose... either fencing or coming to South Korea to be an idol which is of course a hard decision for him since he is really successful with his fencing career and choosing Idol life means he’ll have to stay away from his homeland and parents in a complete different community also struggling with language. The lyrics indicate that he believes he is alone all day, he is incomplete, he is unsure of what to do. Their’s a loneliness in his heart which never ends no matter what he does. He has a hope that whatever he is feeling right now will end someday because the sun will bright with all its warmth. He’ll be able to live happily and will be complete because he’ll find the reason for his existence and the missing parts of his life which of course GOT7 and ahgase.
Lyrics sung by Youngjae:
I'm confused and lost
When my head is pounding, when I'm exhausted
The scenes shift to Youngjae who is walking around in a building that seems familiar from Yugyeom’s scenes. Just like everyone else his scenes also reflect the times before he became a part of GOT7. Now what’s awesome about this is that have you noticed by now that Yugyeom’s scenes in the Image Video are always after Youngjae’s and also Youngjae’s the one who met him first? This is where it gets interesting if you take a closer look at the Image Video where Youngjae seems to be walking or either climbing stairs behind the wall while looking down at something, it’s the building where Yugyeom is. The next scene is Yugyeom of course and he’s looking up before he walks away. When Yugyeom starts to walk in that scene, there is a moving figure up there which moves in the direction Yugyeom is walking. Later in the Image Video when Yugyeom is walking down the street, there are stairs beside him and Youngjae is coming off from them. This means that Youngjae was in the underground with Yugyeom and they must have crossed paths before they were in GOT7. Isn’t it really awesome?? So beautiful?? Now these lyrics indicate that he’s lost alone, he’s not really sure about what to do but then he uses the word “when” which shows there is a deeper meaning to it, there is something that helps him out if his sadness.
Until next time!! 안녕!!

date: august of 2008 location: jinhae-gu, south korea scenario: minjae experiences his first, high school love. word count: 1,531 notes: this mildly discusses issues with sexuality!! so if that triggers you in any way, i advise you don’t read this! & hey PLEASE click here to read it on mobile bc i’m changing minjae’s theme atm and it’s gonna look so bad if you don’t!!
“kang jinwoo.”
“huh?”
“kang jinwoo,” a voice repeats,  interrupting your reading with an extended hand covering the book you’d been so into. looking up, you notice a boy, presumably a student, staring down at you. while you couldn’t be bothered to put on more than a sweater and jeans, this jinwoo...looks different. trendy. sporting a loud jacket, black jeans, and a graphic tee, he’s everything you aren’t - bold. the thought excites you, and yet you remain weary as your hands interlock, greeting each other.
“i’m...minjae,” a younger, naive you croaks, voice coming out much more inwardly than you’d  like. “lee minjae.” it’s like candy to your company, and with a grin he repeats the name as if it were something foreign.
“lee minjae? it’s cute.” cute? guys aren’t cute, you think, but a part of you believes it’s simply your brain forcing you to believe things that aren’t true. because when he says it, you feel like your heart’s been told to beat just a little faster.
“i-thanks.” you’re still not too good with words, all these years later. “have we met before, jinwoo? you look like a high schooler, and i’m sure i would notice you if we were classmates. jinhae-gu’s not too big, anyways.”
your companion grins, shaking his head. “we haven’t, but i saw you earlier today and thought you looked nice. it’s my first day here, i’m from seoul.” even though the city’s only hours away from your own, the thought makes you feel like you’ve met a boy from a different country. he certainly stands out, that’s for sure - that dialect he’d always envied, how he looked like he’d stepped fresh out a tv show, and how he makes your heart flutter.
no, not that. it can’t be.
or...could it?
“i’m not all too smart,” he admits, interrupting all those thoughts cluttered in your head. “so i was wondering...could you help me with some stuff? i’m in my third year of high school, are you too?”
you aren’t, but you do help. your brain’s been a year ahead for your whole life, anyways. with ease, you begin to help the older to understand. just an hour, he says, i’ll get out of your hair soon. but before the two of you notice, the librarian taps your shoulder and reminds you they’ll be closing in ten minutes.
three hours. swept away like three minutes.
and that’s just the first time. after that there’s a second, a third, a fourth. each a little less school-oriented, days of tutoring exchanged for evenings of laughing and crimson cheeks. without much discussion, you’ve moved your meeting spot to his house. perhaps it’s his devilish smile, proposing something more even you can’t pass up. or maybe it’s the gleam in his eyes, proving he’s no bigger threat than a burmese.
those months, spent together with him are the best of your teenage life. under the dim yellow lights of his room, surrounded by posters of bands you wish you were cool enough to know about. there wasn’t a care you possessed, living like that. until the day came, the one you haven’t yet erased from your mind a decade later.
“have you…ever kissed a guy?” he asks, eyes looking not at you but instead fixed upon the wall of the room. you freeze, finally forced to confront the thing that had been haunting you since he showed his face all those months back.
“of course not. why would i?” you ask. while you laugh, it’s out of fear, rather than true amusement. fear that he knows. because when he turns to face you, he’s nothing but doubt, seeing through all your walls you’ve put up. doubt. never has your vulnerability been so frightening.
“i’m serious, minjae, you haven’t...thought about it? ever? wanted to see what it’s like, just once?” it’s like he’s reading right through you, everything you’ve been dying to confess. heart palpitating, sweat forming on your forehead. you find no way to lie your way out of it, especially with the one you’ve been dying to kiss just once staring you down. shrugging, voice as meek as a stage frightened child, you mutter. “maybe.”, then the world explodes.
“then can we?” he asks, awaiting your response. but nothing comes out. faces centimeters apart, each’s eyes trained on the other’s lips. and to think you thought girls made you nervous. this was completely new terrain, and the pure unfamiliarity sent you into a wave of emotions. despite all the confusion, you know, just know that it’s what you want. so, after a probable hour of silence you nod your head in consent.
and that was the day you had your first kiss. who would’ve thought? those immature crushes on your classmates, those girls who’d quietly confessed their feelings for you, none of it had ever amounted to something as big as this. a kiss. something so magical, that had always been the antidote to all problems in the books you surrounded yourself with finally turned into something more. something real. when the two of you pull away, you expect regret. embarrassment. disgust. but they don’t come. the bubbly feeling in your chest doesn’t subside, and you surprise yourself and jinwoo when you lean in once more.
and oddly, it’s….fine, between you two. like nothing’s changed. it’s as if the kiss took away any tension you ever had. neither of you mentions it, or any of the other moments you share, to anyone but yourselves. but no one can deny that you haven’t grown closer. the months leading up to the end of the term are spent side by side in the halls, apart only to go to your respective classes. even when the bell rings and everyone heads home, you two are the last to go. lingering in the streets, hoping for just a few more minutes together. you have dance at 7. he has to be home by 8.  you come up with a compromise, one where he walks you all the way to dance and dashes home to make it in time. you swear it’s the cutest thing ever, watching him wave you goodbye as he jogs in the opposite direction. you pray moments like this last forever.
but they can’t. no matter how naive you are, you know all good things come to an end. the reality of graduation washes over you two, and before you know it he’s packing up for college.
“so this is….really happening? you’re going back to seoul?”
there’s a lingering silence. for once, you hate how quiet it is. because it makes you realize that there’s nothing left to be said, nothing left to be done. his decision is made.
“mm,” he answers shortly, not wanting to linger on the subject. “you’re all that’s here for me, minjae. i wasn’t meant for small towns, they’ve never been my style.”
you want to scream, aren’t i worth staying for? but you don’t. because you refuse to be selfish. if anything, you know what it’s like to be constrained, son to parents who want anything but for you to fulfill your biggest dream - to dance. you don’t want to clip jinwoo’s wings, too. so you nod, smile, and whisper the words you mean but hate to admit. “you should go, then. to seoul, i mean. i want you to be happy.”
so he does.
as soon as he’s out of your grasp, you cling to his social media for any updates, seeing what life’s like now that he’s back in the city. reuniting with friends, trying new things, doing everything you wish you could. instead, you stay behind, studying all night and waiting for the day you’ll feel as free as him. you two call, but as time passes so does the time between you two’s conversations. he’s a young adult, wandering as he pleases around the country. you’re still a student, working hard to stay afloat and graduate. two utterly different paths, not destined to cross again.
so you do what you promise to do, and let him go. soon, you’re off to college too, and you feel even more free than you thought he was. travelling to a new country, studying abroad and having the best time of your life. becoming an idol, something you would’ve never fathomed just a few years before, has become all too real to you now.
you let him go. but you don’t let yourself forget.
even after all this time, when asked about your first crushes and your ideal types his face crosses your mind. you smile, and answer with some celebrity’s name to appease your audience. but you wonder where he is. how he’s doing. if he’s watching you on tv with the same bittersweet feeling you’d once had towards him.
has he forgotten your name? the days and nights of a better time, hands interlocked and eyes peering at one another? has he erased the feeling of your lips connecting from his mind, or how it made the world feel like it was on fire? you hope he hasn’t.
because you won’t. you never forget your first love.
