can you make another theo nott headcanons?? <3
I do not have anything specific in mind but make it angsty?? I guess
also I made the text small so it'll fit your blog's aesthetic <3 ❤️‍🩹
obviously I can make another theo headcanon 🪼
Theodore headcanons | pt. 2 🩶
(I think I'm dyslexic, so please excuse any typos)
+ kind of an x y/n?? , second pov, longer than the last one
for the little woman fans!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
🩶
theo draws like a pro but then complain of how 'cattivo' (which you haven't figured out what it meant yet) his drawing is, even though it is beautiful?? Like what??
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
theo tries to speak as if he's in an Shakespeare book and his friends (Draco, and mattheo) would laugh at him at how ridiculous it sounds because they don't understand him plus, his accent makes it more confusing
after his friends laughed at him, he would get all grumpy and sad. that's where you hopped in.
"theo, what's wrong? " You scrunched your face. "Theo? " you said, once more, but the boy didn't even move a muscle.
I forgot to tell you, when he's grumpy, he gives everyone the silent treatment.
but, you're an exception.
"theodore, what happened? " You sighed, looking down at Theo, who's head was on the table.
"nothing is wrong" Theo scoffed.
also, he doesn't want to bother you, that's why he tends to lie sometimes.
"something is wrong, look at you! " You said, softly touching his hair, trying to make him look at you.
"fine" he pauses "something is bothering me" he rolls his eyes.
"well what is it? " you gave a small smile, after finally convincing him to tell you.
"can you teach me english? "
at that second you swear that you could laugh "Theo? What? You're speaking English right now! " You chuckled
bad mistake ; he got more grumppier.
he gave you a nasty 'mhm' and lays his head back on the table.
"hey I was just joking, but, nonetheless, you're already good at English"
"see? you know when to put 'nonrtheless', I don't even know what that means! "
The next day, you took him book shopping (for everyone's sake, everyone knows a grumpy Theo isn't a good Theo), and you paid for him
Instantly his mood was better, and he took you to drink at the three broomsticks.
theo keeps smiling and looking at the totebag you crocheted for his 14th birthday. inside was the books you got him.
(he was most excited for little women)
theo paid for the butterbeers you both drank.
after that, it became your weekly thing to go to the three broomsticks every Sunday.
theo also starts to call you 'amore mio', but whenever another boy calls you 'love' he immediately assumes things.
at valentines day, he was weirdly quiet, until he suddenly came to you
"y/n" Theo said, not looking directly at your eyes. "yes, Theo? "
"that's for you" theo sighs.
you gave him a big smile, and hugged him, though, he didn't look very happy.
It wasn't a secret that Theo has a big crush for you, well, lorenzo kinda spoiled that for you,
(talking with enzo, 4 months before valentines)
"I may know a guy who likes you" Lorenzo said, all giggly. You gasped. "Tell me who it is! "
"No I can't! " Lorenzo laughs.
"I swear I'll kill-" He cuts you off, "okay, okay fine! But you cannot tell him nor anyone that I've told you this"
he paused for a second. "it's Theo!! "
It also wasn't a secret that you like him, Lorenzo also spoiled that for him
(2 days before valentines)
"Theo, I need you to do a favor for me"
"What? " Theo groans, dog-earring his little women book.
"You need to make a move on your girl" Lorenzo said, making Theo scoff the second he hears that. "hey, she likes you! "
"Ridiculous" Theo said, opening his book again.
"I will, and you must hear me. It's no use, Jo, we've got to have it out, and the sooner the better for both of us," he answered, getting flushed and excited all at once. "Say what you like then. I'll listen," said Jo, with a desperate sort of patience. theodore was a young lover, but he was in earnest, and meant to 'have it out', if he died in the attempt, so he plunged into the subject with characteristic impetuousity, saying in a voice that would get choky now and then, in spite of manful efforts to keep it steady... "I've loved you ever since I've known you, Jo, couldn't help it, you've been so good to me. I've tried to show it, but you wouldn't let me. Now I'm going to make you hear, and give me an answer, for I can't go on so any longer."
After he read that, he realized that if he waits anymore longer you and him wouldn't work out just like theodore Laurence and josephine march.
"Maybe you're right, Enzo, maybe I need to make a move" He said, which made enzo confused but, he was happy either way.
well long story short, that was the start of your lovely relationship.
the whole reason you two got together was because of a book and you think it's absolutely beautiful and poetic 🩷🪼

Things with Bob were going good, maybe it was all a little too good to be true, or do fairytales really exist? You were dating now for almost a year and let's be honest you had never been happier before. Still feeling those butterflies in your belly when Bob lit a smile, they way he could make you melt under his touch. Your time together either meant going out on a date, curled up next to each other watching a movie, or other activities, or meeting his friends at the Hard Deck.
Right now you were doing the latter. The guys were playing pool and you were laughing with Phoenix and Bob on the side as the guys were showing off their mostly failing pool tricks. The wonderful and livid mood of the group got cooled down as a girl entered the bar. She was pretty, very pretty with her long hair, perfect body and gorgeous face, everything you did not have. Bob's expression had changed when he looked at the reason behind the intrusion at the entrance of the Hard Deck and immediately let go of your hand he was holding.
The girl's attention went straight to Bob as she started to walk towards him with a big smile on her face showing off her perfectly white teeth.
"Oh shit." You heard Phoenix say quietly next to you. Everyone's reaction, but mostly Bob sudden distance, was starting to scare you.
"W-who, who is she?" You asked Phoenix with the most worried look on your face she had ever seen.
"Has he told you about his last relationship?"
"N-no." Her question was scaring you even more as you now we're about to find out what Bob has been hiding from you. Truth to be told, you hadn't told him how badly things had ended with your ex-boyfriend either. But at least Bob knew he existed.
"That was her, they, uhm, they were engaged. She left him when deployment was coming up, she liked to brag about the fact that he's in the Navy, but she hated the hours, the deployments, she almost made him choose between her and the job." That was were Bob's worry if you could live with his job came from. "I've always hated her and when Bob was left heartbroken once again after she ended the engagement, I hoped he had enough of her, I truly thought he figured out she just used him and got over her, guess I was wrong, I'm so sorry. I really thought you were the one for him, he was genuinely happy with you, he never stopped talking about you at work, like never. Believe me, when he was with her he was never that talkative."
"But she's back and by the looks of it, wants to pick up where they left off." You said with a scrappy voice trying to hold back the tears. Ever since she arrived Bob hadn't looked at you, only having eyes for her. Had he already forgotten about you? About your relationship? Was five minutes enough to completely forget you? This was not the Bob you had fallen in love with.
You heard Bob say to her "Let's talk outside" while guiding her outside by holding her hand, the hand that was supposed to be intertwined with yours, not hers.
"I am so sorry Y/N." Phoenix said while squeezing your shoulder. The whole group was now looking between you and and the entrance of the Hard Deck while holding their breath, knowing Bob was possibly going to break your heart in a million pieces.
"Y/N, you need to know Bob was happier the last year with you than he had ever with her, I don't know what's going on in his head right now." Fanboy stepped in.
"Thank you Mickey, but I'm so scared. I need to see Bob, he can't be the same as him, Bob is better."
"Wait, I'm not going to let you go alone." Fanboy ran behind you, standing next to you while looking outside at Bob and his ex being way too close to each other for your liking.
"Who do you mean by 'him', Y/N?"
"My ex, he was my first boyfriend, he really hurt me, psychologically." You confessed a part of your past for the first time with a soft voice. But as you were saying that, you saw the girl noticing you watching them and she threw a smirk at you, right before kissing Bob. And he did nothing to stop her, nothing at all, he even melted in the kiss. Smiling at her when they let go.
Your heart broke at the sight, shattering in a million pieces, heartbeat going so fast it felt like it was going to jump out of your chest, knees going weak and wobbly, you even started to feel a stabbing pain in your heart and the feeling like it was about to bleed out. Tears had formed in your eyes and were now streaming down your face. Your autopilot had wiggled yourself out of Fanboy's embrace, going straight to Bob. As the door opened and you appeared, looking like shit, he realized what he had done, how he had been blinded by her, forgetting to do things properly, he had always sworn not to do this, basically cheating on someone.
"How-how could you? You're, you're just as bad as anyone else!" You tried to scream at him but only muffled sounds were coming out. "I hate you!" You sobbed before running away, but you didn't hate him, you hated her. As if the skies were feeling your pain, it started pouring, hard. After hours of running an eventually walking you had arrived completely drenched at your place.
With your first step in, you immediately got reminded of Bob, one of his sweaters was still laying on your couch, but also the activities you had done on your couch, and table, countertop, and almost every single place in your place. Everything reminded you of him and it make you sick.
You quickly changed in your pj's and took the first bottle of liquor you found, trying to let the burning sensation in your throat take over the pain in your heart. Why did Bob choose her over you in the blink of an eye? Maybe your ex was right and you weren't loveable, you would never be enough for someone, just a piece of garbage everyone throws away after a while.
Tumblr media
The next day you stayed at home, being your pathetic and hungover self you were still in your bed and ignoring every call or text you had received. There were a dozen from Natasha, even from Mickey and of course from your friend from work, Natasha probably had looped him in. But not one from Bob, he probably had already forgotten you.
You felt incredibly empty and yet filled with self hate at the same time. Trying to forget about Bob, your autopilot had started cleaning like a maniac, putting on a new scent candle you found somewhere in the back of one of your cabinets, rearranging the furniture and you had packed all of Bob's stuff in a bag, once you were feeling ready for it, you would drop it off in the Hard Deck, not wanting to go near his place.
And Bob? In contrast to you was in his seventh heaven, he was happy she wanted him back, they had so many good memories together, already forgotten about all the bad ones and there were a lot of bad ones. With you, it was just a year, yes he loved you, you still have a special place in his heart, but with her, it was different, they have a longer history, they were about to get married after all. And now that she had made up her mind, they could pick up where they left off, so he thought. He never wanted to hurt you like this, but it was stronger than him.
It was good that the next weeks were going to be hectic at work so you could get your mind off everything. So that's what you did, throwing yourself at work, working lots and lots of overtime, not taking care of yourself and trying to ignore your friend, all still on autopilot. You should know from the last time that this destructive lifestyle was not going to end well, but you couldn't help it.
That friday you thought you felt ready to go give Bob's stuff back, you felt ready but you weren't. You just needed the bag out of your place. Once again you hadn't slept much that night, barely eaten anything and consumed too much coffee. You were looking pale with heavy bags under your eyes. Good thing it was San Diego so nobody questioned you wearing sunglasses all day.
When you arrived at the Hard Deck, you felt your heartbeat go from elevated to really high and the stabbing pain returned too. With cold, sweaty hands you took the bag and entered the Hard Deck. It wasn't hard to spot them. She was sitting on his lap and being way too noisy. No one had noticed you entering until you were standing right before them.
"Here, your stuff." You said to with a shaky voice, letting the bag land in front of them. "I can't have it laying around, it's easier to forget you without it." He was shocked with your appearance, he wanted to say something, but he couldn't get a word out knowing how much he had hurt you.
"Well thank you and byeeee." His ex - now current girlfriend said, in a way making you want to sink in an even deeper and darker hole than you were already in.
"Don't speak to her in that way." Bob warned her to be polite but still kissed her anyway, ripping the shattered pieces that were still left of your heart out of your body.
"Come on Bob, look at that worthless piece of shit, she's not worth it." Bob looked at you apologetically with those beautiful blue eyes you fell in love with.
"I'm sorry, but I really love her, I, I can't explain." Bob whispered towards you. His soft features couldn't get you to be mad at him, only at her. Deep down you wished you had broken it off with Bob because he didn't deserve the stares his friends gave him, you wished they rather would be mad at you. Because you still loved him. You still loved him so much that couldn't breathe anymore. The thought you might not have meant as much to Bob as he means to you was eating you alive.
Your feet were doing the talking for you and made you turn around and leave. Only to be met outside with Natasha, Mickey and surprisingly Bradley. They took you in their embrace to try to give you a little comfort. Being this close to someone for the first time in days, what already felt like weeks, made you break down, spilling all the remaining tears you had left.
"I'm sorry, I can't come here anymore, I can't see him being happy with her, it hurts, I think this is goodbye."
"No, Y/N, you are such delight in our group, don't leave us with that bitch. We might not have talked a lot but, I enjoyed your presence." Bradley said.
"He will realize he's lost without you. He needs time and some common sense."
"I still love him, despite..."
"I know, I know. We will always be here for you Y/N, one phonecall and we'll be there." Natasha said, the rest nodding in agreement.
"I'm sorry, I need time. Goodbye, for now I think." You said before leaving.

So it’s not a sentence but I have this prompt generator that gives a story idea and this one sounds interesting: a major character does something say out of character and everyone has to figure out why.
thank you for this prompt! it's definitely a bit angsty but hopefully the ending is heartwarming enough to make up for it. it's established, married buddie, 14 year old chris, and definitely focuses on the family dynamic with chris as well as the buddie dynamic. anyway, it got a little longer than i expected (it is accidentally over 3k) but hopefully you still enjoy it!
"Hey, babe," Eddie says, not turning around at the sound of his husband's footsteps. He's elbow deep in soapy water, trying to get the dishes that they'd let pile up over the last few days clean. It's only when Buck doesn't answer that he looks behind him, then immediately pulls his hands from the sink and dries them with the nearest towel. "What's wrong? Did something happen?"
Buck frowns, looking down at the tile floor. Eddie knows he's tired - they both are, having to work extra and usually separate shifts to cover while half of B shift was out with a stomach flu - but this is more than that. Buck's shoulders are drooped, and his eyes are a little glassy. Eddie takes a few steps closer.
"Chris was -" Buck stops and bites his lip. He seems to think for a long time, still not looking up at Eddie, so Eddie grabs one of his hands.
"Is he okay?"
"I mean, I guess so?" Buck says, a little helplessly. "He was just in a bad mood, I guess."
"What happened?"
"I mean, at first things were fine. I noticed he was a little quiet at breakfast, but I figured he was just tired. But then when we were in the car he - he just wasn't answering questions, at first. I asked if he'd done his homework, if he had anything going on at school today, if he was feeling alright. He just stared out the window so I told him it was rude to ignore people when they're talking to you and he…"
Buck crosses his arms over his chest, somehow making himself seem small, and continues to stare at the floor.
"Baby, what did he do?"
Eddie watches with horror as Buck's eyes fill with tears. "He told me that I'm not - that I'm not his real parent, and none of that stuff is my business, and he didn't care if it was rude."
Eddie gapes, trying to reconcile this behavior with the Chris he's raised the last eight years.
"I mean -" Buck sniffs, wiping harshly at the tears on his cheeks. "He's right. I'm not his dad and it's not my business, I guess, I was just -"
"You might be his stepdad but you've been raising him just as much as me for years, Buck," he says seriously. "He had no right to say that to you. I'm - I'm so sorry, I don't know why he would -"
"Maybe I'm just not a good dad?" Buck says, and it sounds like he's asking a question he already knows the answer to.
"That's not fucking true," Eddie swears, putting his hands on Buck's shoulders. Buck finally looks up from the floor; his eyes are rimmed red and his bottom lip is swollen from where he's clearly been chewing on it. "You're an amazing dad, and whatever the hell is causing him to act out - we'll deal with it, okay? I'll pick him up from school -"
"Babe, you have a shift -"
"I'll call out, offer to take someone else's tomorrow, or something. They'll be fine a man down for twelve hours, and Bobby'll understand."
Buck frowns but nods anyway. "Okay."
"Why don't you go get some sleep? I can wake you up for lunch."
Buck nods, then heads down the hallway to their bedroom. Eddie watches him, trying to ignore the sinking feeling in his gut that he can't put a name to.
*
Eddie's drumming his fingers against the steering wheel to an anxious rhythm when Chris opens the door to the truck.
"I thought Buck was picking me up," he says, his face wiped clean of any emotion.
"Nope," Eddie answers, waiting until Chris' crutches are settled and he's pulled himself into the truck and buckled his seatbelt. "You got me today."
A small smile creeps onto Chris' face. "Yeah? Are we -"
Eddie is moving forward slowly in the heavily trafficked parking lot, so he glances at his son's face when he stops talking. "Are we what?"
Chris' face drains of something - happiness? Excitement? And then it hits him. Hope.
"Did you and Buck have plans, or something?"
Chris sighs and turns to look out the window, effectively shutting Eddie out. "No."
"Okay," Eddie says, mostly to himself. "Buck told me what happened this morning."
Chris sighs again, this time even heavier. His voice is monotone when he speaks. "Yeah, I'll apologize later."
"That's not -" Eddie stops himself. He huffs a breath, pulling onto the street and trying to figure out what to say. "Not to say that that's not important, because it is, but - I think it's also important that you tell me why you said what you did."
He can feel Chris' eyes on him, but he can't look away from the road. Finally, Chris looks away, and something like disappointment paints his voice. "Can we - tomorrow? Just - I'm not having the best day."
Eddie frowns. "Well why don't you tell me about it so I can make it better?"
"Can we just leave it alone?" Chris snaps, and Eddie startles.
"Yeah," he says after a moment of tense silence. "Yeah, I'll leave it alone. We'll - we'll talk tomorrow. But that doesn't mean you don't need to adjust your attitude today."
Chris doesn't say anything, just continues to stare out the window until they arrive home. He's out of the truck and making his way to the door before Eddie can say anything, and Eddie knows Buck is inside making Chris' favorite dinner, hopeful that Chris just had a bad morning and things can be back to normal, and Eddie needs to warn him about the surly teenager headed his way. He sighs, lets his head fall against the steering wheel, then finally pulls himself out of the truck, trudging his way up to the house.
Chris is putting his backpack on the dining room table, unloading homework, and Eddie walks past him into the kitchen where Buck is clearly setting up to start making his fancy macaroni and cheese.
"Hey," he says quietly, and Buck turns to look at him with hope in his eyes that immediately drains when he sees Eddie's face.
"Not just a bad morning, then," Buck guesses, turning back to the stove.
"I don't know what his deal is," Eddie admits, then stops talking as he hears the click-clack of Chris' crutches coming toward them.
"Sorry for this morning, Buck," Chris says, his voice still in that low monotone. He sees the pot on the stove and somehow his sad face falls even further. "Is it - dinner, it's -"
"Buck's making your favorite," Eddie says, trying to inject some enthusiasm to it. It has the opposite effect. Suddenly tears are filling his son's eyes and he looks at Eddie with so much disappointment that he wants to throw up and he doesn't even know what he did wrong.
"So no burgers."
It feels like something from out of left field. He furrows his brows at Chris. "What? Did we talk about burgers for tonight?"
Buck is already pulling the boiling water off the burner. "Hey, I haven't even started yet, we can get burgers -"
"I was doing the math in my head last night, and you know what I realized?"
Eddie just stands there, staring at his son, who is steadily wiping at his eyes, looking up at him from under his curls.
Chris doesn't wait for either of them to answer. "Buck's been my dad for longer than she was my mom."
Eddie's heart plunges to his knees.
"I know - " Chris sniffles, "I know you guys weren't in love anymore but - but you always said you loved her."
"Chris, I - I did. I do -"
"Then how could you forget?!" His voice is loud in the quiet kitchen. Eddie's breath hitches as the pieces begin to put themselves together in his head. The burgers. Buck being his parent longer than Shannon.
Chris is tall enough now that Eddie doesn't need to, but he still drops to the floor in front of his son and pulls him into his arms, where Chris immediately collapses into him, crying harder than Eddie's seen him cry in years.
"I'm so sorry, mijo," Eddie whispers into Chris' hair. "I wasn't even paying attention to the date, but that does not mean I don't love your mom, okay?"
Chris nods against Eddie's shoulder, but he's still shaking a little.
"We'll order the burgers, okay? And I bought the ice cream last week, it's already in the freezer, okay?"
Chris pulls back and looks Eddie in the eyes. "You already got the ice cream?"
"I did," Eddie confirms, running a hand through messy curls. "I was thinking about it when I was at the store. Like I said, I just wasn't paying attention to the date today."
"Okay," Chris says quietly. He sniffles again, but there's still snot beneath his nose and tear tracks on his cheeks. Eddie's heart clenches painfully in his chest.
"How about you go wash your face, and I'll order the food."
Chris nods, then pulls himself out of Eddie's arms and slowly makes his way toward the bathroom. The door shuts behind him, and Eddie runs a hand down his face, trying to just breathe. He pulls his phone out of his pocket and finds a food delivery app that has Shannon's favorite burger joint, and orders three of the bacon cheeseburgers she used to love, along with a large side of onion rings for all of them.
"Hey." Eddie startles, looking up from his phone to see his husband standing in the doorway of the kitchen. "I kinda overheard a bit and put two and two together, and I - uh - I went in the closet to get the album." He holds the photo album up, decorated in glitter and cloth flowers with MOMMY written largely across the middle.
"Thank you," Eddie whispers, standing from the floor and walking straight into Buck's open arms. They pull apart when Chris re-enters the kitchen, sans crutches and face clean but with bloodshot eyes behind his glasses.
"I hope you're not too old for cuddles," Eddie says, grabbing the photo album from Buck, "because we've got some pictures to look at while we wait for our burgers."
Chris' lips turn up at the corners. "I suppose I could make an exception for today."
Eddie chuckles. They go to the living room and snuggle in close on the couch, Eddie on one side of Christopher and Buck on the other, as they start to go through the photos. Chris stops at one of him and Shannon, cuddled together on a couch not too differently from the way they are now, and says, "we gotta watch The Jungle Book, too."
"Of course," Eddie agrees.
Then Chris looks at Buck and says, "that was our favorite to watch together. She knew the words to all the songs."
Eddie watches Buck smile, pretending like Chris hadn't told him the same thing last year and the year before that, when he was first invited to Shannon's birthday celebration.
"Sounds like she had good taste," Buck says, a small grin on his face.
"Yeah, the best," Chris agrees, turning to the next page and resting his head against Eddie's shoulder. He doesn't get this way too often anymore, so Eddie takes the opportunity to press a kiss to his head. Chris' voice is soft when he speaks again. "I miss her."
Eddie swallows thickly and blinks back the tears forming in his eyes. He has no idea how it feels to lose a parent, especially at such a young age, and he hates with everything in him that his son has to know the feeling so intimately. "Me, too, bud."
*
Chris hasn't needed to be tucked into bed for years, but tonight Eddie watches him stop Buck in the kitchen while he's washing their ice cream bowls.
"What's up, bud?"
"Can you - come in my room? Before I go to sleep?"
Eddie watches Buck's eyes light up, can see it from all the way across the room.
"Absolutely," he says. "You go get your pajamas on and I'll be there when I finish the dishes, okay?"
"'Kay," Chris agrees, heading out of the kitchen and toward his bedroom. Once the door is shut behind him, Eddie makes his way to Buck's side, grabbing a clean dish towel to start drying.
"He's going to make you cry in there," Eddie says conversationally.
Buck snorts. "Oh yeah, for sure."
"Need backup?"
"No," Buck says, confident. "I got it."
Still, Eddie can't help himself, and a few minutes later finds him standing in Chris' doorway, behind the half-open door, listening to his two favorite people talk.
"I'm sorry I was mean to you this morning," Chris says, regret coloring his voice. "I know you're my dad, too. I just - I realized I've known you longer than I knew her. And it made me sad, so I said something I knew would make you sad, too."
"Thank you for apologizing," Buck says carefully. "I understand why you were upset and I forgive you. It must've been hard when you realized nobody else remembered what day it was."
"I mean, you didn't know her, so even though you're invited to her party now I wasn't really mad at you. But Dad knew her. I was just so disappointed."
"But he remembered the ice cream last week," Buck says. "So he didn't totally forget about her. But I can see why it was disappointing. It's an important day for all the people that loved her."
Eddie smiles, listening to Buck not only defending him but validating all of Christopher's feelings as well.
"Okay, I'm gonna go to sleep now," Chris says, and Eddie can hear Buck standing from the bed. "Night, Buck."
"Good night, Chris. Love you."
"Love you, too," Chris says, then raises his voice just a little. "And goodnight to you, too, Dad."
Eddie flushes, caught, then takes a quick step back when Buck opens the door with a grin on his face. He peeks around Buck to see Chris giving him a faux unimpressed look.
"Goodnight. I love you, bud."
Chris smiles, and his eyes aren't red anymore, and Eddie can feel it in his gut that he's going to be okay.
"I love you, too, Dad." Eddie starts to pull the door closed behind him, his eye barely catching Chris reaching over to touch the picture of Shannon on his nightstand. He doesn't mean to eavesdrop this time, but he still hears the quiet, "love you, Mom. Happy birthday," that Chris whispers, before turning over to go to sleep.
Buck is still standing next to him in the hall, so Eddie quietly asks, "Wanna talk about it?"
Buck sighs, then begins walking toward their bedroom. "No. I just. I don't know."
Eddie lets out a small laugh at the non-answer as he closes the door behind them. Buck's already pulling his t-shirt off and digging through a drawer for sweat shorts. Eddie follows suit.
"Whatever you need, babe," Eddie says finally, when they've made it to the bathroom to brush their teeth.
"Do you need to talk about it?" Buck asks, his words muffled by the toothbrush in his mouth.
Eddie's initial instinct is to say no, but he waits, finishes brushing before he says anything.
"I feel really bad," he finally admits, crawling onto his side of the bed. "I know I thought about it last week but - I didn't even figure it out when he was upset."
"You're not a mind reader, Eddie."
"We've done it every year for how many years now? I don't know how I just - ugh." He falls back against the pillows.
"Eddie," Buck says softly, and it makes Eddie turn to look at him. "It's a hard day for Chris, and you make it better for him every year. Even if it took you a minute to get there today. You do so much for that kid. But -"
Buck ducks his head.
"But what?"
"But it's gotta be a hard day for you, too," he says, eventually laying down next to Eddie and reaching a hand out to tangle their fingers. "For Chris, he just sees her as his mom. He doesn't think about the time she left. He doesn't know she was probably going to leave again. But you think about that. You think about her asking for a divorce, and then getting no closure. But you make sure, every single year, that Chris only has good memories of her, and that he gets to have a day dedicated to remembering his mom. That's - a lot, is all I'm saying. That's gotta be hard, too."
Eddie blinks back the tears beginning to form in his eyes. "It's so important to me that he remembers her that way. I don't know if it's the right thing to do, but it's the choice I made when she died and I intend to follow through with that."
"Because you're a good dad," Buck murmurs, rubbing his thumb against the back of Eddie's hand.
"You're biased 'cause you love me."
Buck grins. "Yeah. So?"
Eddie doesn't answer, just buries his face deeper into his pillow, trying to ignore the way his stomach still feels like it's in knots.
"Eddie, you're a good dad, but you're also human. It's okay if this day makes you feel bad."
"It does," he whispers, then immediately feels guilty. "I'm just - it feels like too much, when I let myself think about her."
"Why?" Buck asks softly.
"Because part of me is still mad at her. And part of me misses her. And no matter what happened, she was still - still my first love, and the mother of my child, and I'd move mountains to bring her back, just for Chris... But I'm still mad."
"It's okay that you're mad," Buck tells him, scooting even closer. "I think it's perfectly reasonable that you feel all that shit."
Eddie snorts. "I think you're being biased again."
"Nope," he disagrees. "You're being too hard on yourself. You're allowed to have mixed feelings."
"Yeah," Eddie whispers, and the knot in his stomach begins to unravel. "Thank you."
Buck leans forward and presses a soft, dry kiss to his lips. He smiles. "It's what I'm here for."
"What? Talking me down?"
"No," Buck says, kissing him again. "Loving you."
Eddie rolls his eyes but still feels his cheeks heat up. How something like that can make him blush after so many years is insane to him, but eventually his lips break out into a smile.
"You're very good at that."
"I'm very good at loving you?" Buck asks, wiggling his eyebrows. Eddie pushes at his shoulder with a groan, but immediately pulls him back in. Buck tries his best to keep his laughter quiet.
"You know what I mean, asshole," Eddie says, and then, "but also, yes. That, too."
Buck's laugh is a soothing balm for a rough day, and he listens until his husband quiets. One more kiss, a little longer this time, and then they say their goodnights, their I love yous, and Eddie rolls over, and Buck tucks himself up against his back, arm over his waist. Eddie links their hands together, and closes his eyes.
Buck presses a final kiss to the back of his neck, and he melts into the embrace, and he doesn't even realize the knot in his stomach is gone before he falls asleep.

🌈is there a fic that you worked *really fucking hard on* that no one would ever know? maybe a scene/theme you struggled with?
💞what's the most important part of a story for you? the plot, the characters, the worldbuilding, the technical stuff (grammar etc), the figurative language
💌share something with us about an up-and-coming work (WIP) that has you excited!
yasmeanie <3,
well, i'll get to it then. the rainbow is answered so i'll just do the other two! i will /try/ to be concise but again, no promises.
💞what's the most important part of a story for you? the plot, the characters, the worldbuilding, the technical stuff (grammar etc), the figurative language
considering who's asked this question, i suppose the fun answer would be vibes. and i guess that encapsulates what is the most important part to me---the mood, the tone, the themes they just need to feel right to me. i personally enjoy writing more emotional, character study-esque, introspective fics which is partially from my literature background in literary analyses. don't get me wrong, plot and characters and world-building is fun and all, but i think the emotional crux of the fic is most important to me which is why my tags are less technical or setting-based, and more like 'angst' or 'hurt/comfort' which tends to deal with the emotional gravitas of the work.
i think part of this is done through figurative language, so language is important to me. i think, first and foremost, i'm a poet and that translates to my prose and my fics, which tend to be more poetic, metaphorical filled with grandeur; purple prose if you will.
so yay emotions!

oh fun!
so i have adhd and ive been working on multiple projects at once (as per usual, typical coolbeans honestly)
and here are the final chapters of my two favorite unfinished multichaps currently (with blurbs!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
so this is chapter 8 of the office au i've been writing for f4! i'm pretty far through but im still sorting out some plot details and trying to find time to write it all!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
so this is my uber-fave (and only) fiery priest fic that im hella obsessed with right now and i'm soooo close to finishing chapter 4 i just need to power through for a couple hours and i should be done.
as for my up and coming work(s), i have lots of fun things !
Tumblr media
this is for my despised beloves strangers again the show i cant get enough and it ripped my heart out of my chest and stomped on it. i want to give my baby hara the justice she deserves bc everyone in that show did her dirty and i will redeem her myself so be it. i said fuck canon and redid the ending as i deserve to
Tumblr media
this is lawschool fic bc i saw something on pinterest and was inspired. it's all fluff pointless romance really.
Tumblr media
this one i've had in my reserves since december when i watched the show and i WAS obsessed bc my man yim siwan needs to portray more green flag cuties but i also wanted horny daebeom
Tumblr media Tumblr media
these two are what i like to call my sister fics. they're the folklore and evermore if you will. the sidecouple angst in two different flavours. if you've read beware the villainess, the first is like where she finally manages to get him freed, a post canon work, and the second as the title states, is canon divergence and still angsty but more adultier flavoured. more hurt.
i love love yona and yohan from beware the villainess this is them in case u dont know they are my favorite grumpy saintess queen x sunshine wizard simp
Tumblr media
i've been really into manhwas since early last year (honestly if u follow me dedicatedly anywhere on social media, you'd probably already know this) and i have some i want to write for!
love,
rosey posey <3 (coolbeans/ro)
link to the original post if anyone else wants to ask me more! i'm finally back (proper) for the better i think <3 ask me more things im currently accepting prompts <3 !!!

song 7 for a character of your choosing lol :)
I'm trying to be normal, but trauma is immortal and none of this is your fault (Frankenstein)
Rathaway X Rachel Roth – Rathaway doesn’t know she’s a titan and she’s scouting him to join the Titans. Rathaway has all the issues.
BB woke up unable to understand what was compelling him to want to be a rat. His entire body grew hair and he slowly grew smaller and smaller until is was a tiny mouse. Then like chasing cheese he walked out in the middle of the night without telling anyone. Come breakfast the fact that he was not first at the table caused great concern for everyone involved. Luckly for him BB was tagged and was easy to find.
Central CITY! – Grayson was concerned – Why did he go to central city in the middle of the night! Raven you wanna take this one? – Asked Damien – the kid follows you around like a lost puppy, so go fetch our pet so….
The look on Raven’s face and the extra set of eyes was all the cue Damien needed to drop the subject. He’s not sure how well he can stack up against Trigon and wasn’t in the mood to find out.
Rachel opened a portal directly to the cosmic location were BB was, he saw him, as a rat surrounded by an army of rats, one tiny green spec in a sea of filthy disgusting rats. He picked bb by the tail and attempted to snap him out of it. When even putting him on her chest did not work, it became obvious that his hypnosis was far more powerful than she could have imagined. She faded into the wall and watched carefully to figure out what was causing this extreme form of hypnosis that was not broken by anything magical or physical.
A few hours later a small stubby mass of complexes and issues walked in. Rachel instantly sensed the inner turmoil in this poor souls’ mind. All the issues! Abandonment issues, fear for his situation, not having a home and being forced to forage in the sewers, fear of extreme betrayal, all emotions she could sense coming from this cloud of frustration and angs.
What’s that you’re saying? – said Rathaway, said while talking to one of his rats – That this room smells like a Depeche Mode concert? Why yes it is very weird, did an army of Goth angsty teenagers waltzed by while I was away?
COME OUT, you can hide your visage but not your smell of cheap eyeliner and Sucreabeille perfume. Let me guess, demon girl, or daughter of Satan, or something devil related. – Rathaway look annoyed.
FINE GEESH – Raven came out of the shadow – one of those rats is mine, and I need it back.
Really? Wish one- asked Rathaway not taken aback by the figure emerging from the wall.
Raven - Takea guess !
Rathaway – Yea not a lot of green demon rats are there. Rathaway was almost amused but playing it cool. He was trying to figure out at what moment to send the army of rats at him.
I rolled a 20 on my mind reading abilities, you’re an open book to me, and if you don’t wanna see a million rats go up in flame I suggest you keep your filthy pets to yourself – Said Raven
Oh a Geek a devil girl, I suppose rolling seduction is out of the question. – Said Rathaway.
Not if you want me to kick your dices! – Raven was kinda annoyed at this point.
FINE your intimidation roll worked, here is your freeky green rat. – said rathaway releasing his spell.
How do I know he’s not gonna be hypnotized again – asked Raven annoyed.
You don’t! I may want to see you again and then all I’ve got to do is play this fl…. – he was interrupted when raven took over the flute with her magic and prepared to destroy it.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO – he lunged at the flute crying in a panic. It was pathetic. He fled to a dark corner of the room, crying and trying to claw at the wall to find a place to hide it.
That flute, its precious to you isn’t it – you don’t really need it to fight me but you cling to it. Said raven
Would you stop reading my FUCKING MIND ALREADY! – at one point you have to realize it feels like being naked in front of a million people.
You took my precious pet, this creature is my price possession, and I refuse to go easy on you until I know without a shadow of a dought that it belongs to me and me alone. I play with it,and tease it as I see fit. I wont let some snut punk wanna be villain with issues take him from me. MAKE IT HAPPEN!
Rathaway trembling made an alteration to the Anti life equation that made it so it could not be used specifically on BB.
Alright since you kept your end of the bargain I’ll stop probing your mind. – Said raven – I don’t normally do that. But you took my precious pet so I was not gonna play fair. I was ready to send you to hell if needed.
Bhhhhh the devil girl is gonna send me to hell, spooky, could you be any more of a cliché – rathaway was annoyed. Do you know what you put me thru just now! If you had me by the balls I would not have been more horrified. That flute…
It’s a toten of trauma, interrupted Raven, you need to let it go, forgot it and begin to heal. It will be difficult but if you come with me, with the titans, you can slowly come to live a normal life, with friends that wont abandon you.
Yea Sure, you’re sooo normal demon girl – rathaway was more relaxed now that he sensed no hostility from Rachel.
I'm trying to be normal, but trauma is immortal. And ever-present. Sometimes you can be safely at a home and see something on tv and suddenly it comes back like a monster, a predator. And you try to act normal so nobody sees your suffering, but the sweat and the palpitations, and your inability to stand up, the betray you, so you say you’re going to take a bath so nobody sees you tremble.
And sometimes you can be under a bridge feeling like the world is collapsing over you, and you feel thankful because its not the worst that’s ever happened to you. You think, compared to where I’ve been, being homeless doesn’t feel so bad, and then you realize that….
Raven hugged Rathaway, and then he was quiet, she kept repeating over and over – “none of this was your fault, none of this was your fault.”
I missed being hugged so much – Rathaway was smiling, - Ok lets get going.
Dude I had the weirdt dream  - the rat changed form into a human, rathaway look puzzled
IT WAS A DREAM!  - screamed Raven, her pale skin showing a slight hint of blush under all the eye liner and pale face paint.  – IT WAS A DREAM AND DONT FUCKING GET ANY IDEAS
BB turning into a tiny puppy begin whimpering.

You know what, coming back to this edit, I think the reason why we can notice how this single phrase (anyone but him) changes meaning is due to where the emphasis is.
Anyone but him, Merlin says to Kilgharrah, pleading for his destiny to be bound to someone else. To anyone else. Not him. Arthur is spoiled and rude and he’s the son of Uther. Anyone else but this one.
And we can also see that is the same reaction Arthur has when Merlin becomes his manservant. Anyone else but him, father. He’s disrespectful and snarky and has no idea how the hierarchy works. He would rather have any other peasant but this one.
We get to the Diamond of the Day, and so many years have passed. The emphasis has changed. Merlin no longer begs for anyone to take Arthur’s place in their shared destiny. He no longer wishes for the Once and Future King to be anyone because there can’t be anyone like him.
Anyone but him, Merlin cries to the dragon. He is lost and alone. The body is cold and he feels empty. Inside, Merlin knows Arthur is no longer with him, but his heart still cries out. Not him. Merlin would do anything to have Arthur come back. He would wait a 1,000 years to see him again. Because anyone isn’t him. He is everything. And so Merlin cries out again: anyone but him.

alex’s little sister [one] // kara danvers
summary: with Haley wanting to find out Supergirl's identity, you have to get your memories wiped along with Alex, much to Kara's dismay. No longer remembering being her girlfriend, you can't help but feel like something is missing.
warning/s: none.
author's note: here's an angsty kara fic for y'all to cry over 😂 part two on the way x
part two | masterlist | wattpad
Tumblr media
I watched as the last of the dozen or so agents who knew of Kara's identity walked out of J'onn's office. Kara's grip tightened in mine and I could only presume it was the same with Alex's hand.
Alex and I were the only two agents left who were going to get our memories wiped and Kara still wasn't okay with the idea. But it had to be done if her identity as Supergirl was to be kept a secret.
"So... who's next?" J'onn asked regretfully.
I pursed my lips and stood up, letting go of Kara's hand. "I'll go."
"Y/N!" Kara stood up, grabbing my hand again.
I grimaced as I met Kara's saddened expression. "We've discussed this, Kara..."
"I know, I know, just... just wait."
I breathed out and nodded, glancing between J'onn, Brainy and Alex.
"Are you... are you sure that this is the only way?" Kara asked, directing her question at J'onn.
J'onn's expression said it all – we had all pondered the exact same thing many times. We were only left with this option and Kara knew that, yet she still kept hoping.
"We need to do this, Kara," I told her, squeezing her hand and pulling her closer. My voice lowered as I met her glossy eyes. "It's gonna be okay. It won't hurt and it won't have any side effects."
"But you won't remember us," she sobbed. "You'll forget about everything. We won't know each other."
I tried to stop myself from crying, but of course, a tear slipped out. I knew this already. It was stuck in my head all night last as I tried to picture Kara not being there. It had only been two years since she'd been in my life, but it didn't feel like that at all – it felt like longer, so it was impossible for me to imagine her not there. I couldn't even remember what that was like.
Alex was my first friend at the DEO – now my best friend – and it was through her that I got close to Supergirl and eventually Kara. Living my life without Kara would be so strange, yet I wouldn't notice the difference because I wouldn't remember.
But she would.
I sniffled and rested my other hand on Kara's cheek. She leaned into it and kissed it, to which I leaned forward and kissed her gently, quickly.
"It's going to be hard, but it has to happen. I'm sorry. You have to let me go for now, Kara."
She breathed out and looked down, nodding her head. I struggled to ignore the tugging in my stomach as I let go of Kara's hand. Alex pulled her in for a hug, the two sisters left in an embrace as I went to stand before J'onn.
"It'll be quick," J'onn assured, raising his hands. I'd seen how he'd done this to the others and was about to close my eyes and prepare myself, but before I could, Kara quickly shouted.
"Stop!"
"Kara..." J'onn looked to her, but she was only looking at me.
"I just wanted to say... I– I love you," she got out, still holding Alex. "I need you to know that..."
I gave her the best reassuring smile I could muster and said, "I know it, Kara. I always will. I love you, too. No matter what."
She nodded and I hated how hurt she looked because of this. She was losing her sister and her girlfriend all at once and there was nothing I could do.
"Do us both, at the same time," Alex blurted out, sucking up a deep breath. She had been crying, too and honestly it was horrible that this was what everything had come to.
"Alex–"
"I'm not watching you open your eyes and be a completely different person," Alex cut my protest off, her eyes meeting mine. "I'm not losing my best friend. We do this together."
I nodded, understanding what she meant, and watched as she turned to Kara, who was shaking her head frantically.
"No... I can't watch this," she cried out, before letting go of Alex and leaving the room.
"Kara, wait!" Alex called after her, but J'onn placed a hand on her shoulder to stop her from going after Kara.
"It's better this way, Alex," J'onn told her. "It'll only hurt more if you both open your eyes and you're not the same."
Alex pressed her lips together and still stared at the door that Kara ran out from. I grabbed Alex's hand and pulled her beside me.
"C'mon, we have to do this," I said softly, a sad smile on my lips. "For Kara."
Alex gulped down the lump in her throat and nodded. "For Kara."
"How you feeling?" Alex asked as I left the interrogation room.
I rubbed my forehead and shook my head. "I don't know... that felt so weird, y'know?"
Alex pulled a face as she nodded. "Oh, I know. I still feel strange from the Truth Seeker myself, but it's not supposed to have any side effects. We might just be imagining it."
I shrugged, following Alex into the main operation room. "I guess so... I wonder how long Haley will keep this up. Does she really think we know who Supergirl is?"
Alex sighed. "Apparently so, which is dumb."
"This whole thing is dumb," I added, lowering my voice so I wouldn't be heard by Haley and her colleagues. "We need Supergirl. She helped us do our jobs better. Who cares who she is?"
Alex glanced at me with a questionable expression. "We were running a lot longer than Supergirl's existence, Y/N. Don't let anyone else hear you say that."
"I know... I just wish things weren't so tense around here. I don't know, I just feel strange. Forget it."
"I get you," she admitted, looking around at the other agents doing their jobs. "It is tense. But we just have to follow Haley's orders. I could care less who Supergirl is, but if Haley wants to know, we can't disobey her orders."
I nodded, rubbing my temple. "Yeah, I guess."
"Director Danvers, Agent Y/L/N!" Brainy approached us both, a neutral smile on his face. "I see you've both had your interrogations?"
"Yes, Brainy, is everything okay? Any updates on anything?" Alex asked him.
"Nothing to report," he confirmed, before looking carefully at us both.
"You okay?" I asked him, raising an eyebrow.
He straightened up, clearing his throat. "Yes. If you'll excuse me."
He turned around and walked away, leaving Alex and I confused. We'd learnt not to question him though, so I didn't think much of it.
A few days had passed since the Truth Seeker interrogation and Haley still hadn't found out Supergirl's identity, meaning her investigation was still intact. She was onto everyone like a hawk – even people who had never even spoken to Supergirl. It would be funny if it wasn't so serious.
In those few days, I felt a little different. I wasn't sure if it was confusion or an absence of something, but I felt strange, as if something wasn't right. And I didn't know why, but it was beginning to affect my sleep.
I chose not to think about it much, but after two weeks had passed, the feeling was running deeper than I wanted it to. It was keeping me up at night and I needed to know if I was actually losing my mind or not. Which meant I needed my best friend's advice.
"Alex, can we talk?" I asked her, seeing her standing at the control panel in the main hall.
She looked away from the screen and to me, probably noticing the serious expression on my face.
"Yeah, is everything okay?" she asked, giving me her full attention.
I breathed out. "I honestly don't know, can we talk in private?"
She nodded and I followed her down the corridors before we stopped at the end of an empty, rarely used one.
"What is it, Y/N?" she asked with concern.
I tried to collect my thoughts. "I don't know exactly, that's the thing. Ever since the interrogation with the Truth Seeker, I've been feeling... different."
Her expression softened and she seemed empathetic. "Different how?"
I licked my lips. "Like, I feel like something is missing. Or different. I just don't feel the same and I don't know why. It's been driving me insane, Alex. I feel like I'm losing my mind and I can't sleep because of it. Do you think it could be because of the Truth Seeker?"
Alex pursed her lips and crossed her arms. "It could be... I know what you mean. Not to your extent of course, but I have felt like something was off since that day. I've been dismissing it though."
I felt the tenseness in my body relax a little as she spoke, feeling glad I wasn't entirely crazy.
"I spoke to some of the other agents who were interrogated too," she continued, "but they didn't feel the same, so I don't know if it is the Truth Seeker. I even asked J'onn to check what's going on up here–" She motioned to her head. "–but nothing was wrong. I figured I was just having a bad few weeks. It's not hard for me to ignore."
I ran my hand through my hair and sighed. "I can't ignore it, that's the thing. It's making me feel restless."
"Y/N..." Alex frowned and rubbed my arm comfortingly. "We could ask J'onn to check you out if you want?"
I crossed my arms, shaking my head. "There's no point. I don't think I've got any reaction from the Truth Seeker – why would only me get it? I was actually thinking about going to see a therapist."
Alex nodded understandingly. "You think that will help?"
I smiled helplessly. "I have no idea, but it's all I got. It may just be something, you know, mentally wrong. Mental illness is frequent in my family."
Alex nodded and pulled me in for a side hug. "If you need anything from me, Y/N, just ask."
I relaxed my head on Alex's shoulder and nodded. "I know, Alex. Thanks."
She squeezed my arm reassuringly.
"Thanks for not turning into an arse or anything when you became Director, too," I added to lighten the mood.
She began to laugh as she shoved me away gently. I smiled, feeling a little better for the moment. Maybe things wouldn't be so bad. Therapy might help. If I knew what was wrong with me, I wouldn't feel so alone.
So, therapy was exactly what I did. I booked an appointment with a therapist, courtesy of the DEO's resources, for the following week and decided to power through, ignoring this distracting feeling inside of me. But that was exactly all it was – distracting, even at the most important of times.
I had been sent out on a field mission with Alex and a dozen other agents to stop some Children of Liberty attack. Somehow the Children of Liberty had a super-powered human on their side, tormenting and abusing alien and non-alien civilians alike.
When we arrived on the scene, Alex yelled out her orders, mine being to help detain the super-powered human. Myself and another agent tried shooting the person with non-lethal ballets, but it didn't seem to be doing much but angering him. He was now grabbing the nearest alien civilians and throwing them about like rag dolls.
"Distract him, I'll grab the civilian!" I yelled to my partner, Chris, gun raised.
Chris nodded and began to shoot the super-powered human to get his attention. I ran forward when his attention was diverted and helped lead the alien-civilians to the DEO trucks waiting for them. It was chaos though – Children of Liberty were fighting back all around and some alien civilians were acting out in defence, making it harder for us to do our job.
As I was helping up a woman and leading her the other way, I got jumped on by a Child of Liberty. The woman who I was helping screamed and ran away, and I managed to flip the arsehole over my shoulder and in front of me.
He stood up with ease and ran at me, shoving me to the ground. I couldn't access my gun, so I was stuck defending myself against the oncoming punches. When the man tired, I punched him in the throat and rolled him off me, looking to grab my gun.
"Leave her alone!"
I turned and saw a civilian man holding my assault rifle and aiming it at the Child of Liberty. I widened my eyes with surprise.
"Sir, drop the gun and run!" I yelled at him, before grunting as the Cbild of Liberty from before landed a punch to my jaw.
The civilian with my gun trembled and shot the gun, but he missed by far and got shoved to the ground by the super-powered human. He ripped the gun from the civilian's hand, tossing it far away, and picked up the civilian by the neck.
I dodged an oncoming punch from the Child of Liberty who was still on me and put my marital arts skills into practice, managing to dislocate his arm and pin him to the ground in an instant. I looked over my shoulder and ran towards the super-powered human, knocking him to the ground and away from the civilian, who was now screaming and running away.
I got a few punches in before I was head butted hard. It took a few seconds for my vision to focus, to which I received another punch in the face. I could feel blood dripping from my nose now, followed by the pain.
Suddenly, the super-powered human was no longer in front of me, but thrown into the side of a building. I stumbled over my own feet, trying to take in what happened, until I felt a pair of strong arms wrap around me, helping me stand up straight. I looked up and saw it was Supergirl.
"Hey, you're okay," she reassured, smiling down at me. Her breath hitched when I found her eyes, before she quickly said, "Come on."
I looked back to the super-powered human and saw some DEO agents surrounding him with guns. He was caught and could no longer hurt anyone now, thanks to Supergirl.
The blonde alien led me back to where Alex was stood, who immediately took me from Supergirl's arms and hugged me with relief.
"That looked like it hurt," Alex said, pulling away from me and giving me a rag to stop my bleeding nose.
"You have no idea," I said, trying to stop the bleeding. I turned around and saw Supergirl still standing there, though by now, Haley was heading her way and I knew things wouldn't be good.
"Thanks for that, you saved my life," I managed to say to Supergirl, who looked like she wanted to say something back, but couldn't because Haley stood before us.
"What are you doing here, Supergirl?" she immediately snapped at the alien. "You aren't part of the DEO anymore. This is an official case."
Supergirl nodded. "People were in trouble, including your agents. I help everyone and you can't stop me from doing that."
Haley didn't seem to like that response, but it didn't matter because Supergirl flew off before she could think up a reply.
"She saved my life," I spoke up, gaining Haley's attention. "I'm glad she was here."
Haley narrowed her eyes at me. "I didn't ask for your opinion, agent. But now that you've deemed it convenient for you to speak, let me say, your actions today were atrocious."
"Hal–"
"Butt out, Director Danvers," Haley cut Alex off with a glare. "This only involves Y/L/N and I." She looked back to me and said, "You managed to endanger a civilian and allow that same civilian to get ahold of your weapon. You also required Supergirl's help to get out of the mess you created. You didn't do your job."
"It won't happen again," I promised. "I wasn't thinking, I was just–"
"Distracted," she interrupted. "You were distracted, as you've been a lot recently. Don't think I haven't noticed."
"I'm going to get help," I said, wiping my nose and pleading with her. "I know I've been off, but it's not permanent. I've got a therapy session next week and I'll train more. I'll get back to how I was, I swear."
Haley shook her head. "Maybe you should pull that therapy session up to tomorrow. I don't expect anything less than perfect on my force."
I frowned, knowing where this was going. Of course she'd noticed. I hadn't been myself lately and it was showing in my actions, just like today.
"You are officially suspended from further work at the DEO, until you can prove you are mentally and physically stronger than you are now," she finalised.
"You can't just do that!" Alex yelled, but I pulled her back.
"Alex, it's okay," I mumbled, squeezing her hand.
"I'd listen to Y/L/N, Danvers," Haley said darkly. "We wouldn't want to go looking for another Director now, would we?"
Alex clenched her jaw as Haley marched away to check on some other agents. When she was out of earshot, Alex punched the car door near her.
"I can't believe she suspended you," she exploded with anger.
"It's only temporary," I told her, before breathing out. "I wish it was nonexistent, but I don't know, maybe she's right. I haven't been myself lately."
Alex's anger left her expression for the moment as she looked to me. "Y/N, you said it yourself. You're getting help. That doesn't mean you shouldn't work. You're amazing at your job and Haley shouldn't get to say otherwise!"
I shrugged, moving to lean against the car door for support. "I don't know. All I know is I need to get my shit together or I won't be coming back."
Alex looked to me with the utmost certainty. "You'll be okay. I'll help you no matter what."
And Alex didn't lie. After my first therapy session, she visited me to talk to me about how it went. I shared as much as I wanted to with her and she sat with me, not interrupting as I told her everything. She visited regularly after that, too, whilst I tried to focus on myself, whether that be with therapy or training.
After my second therapy session, Alex invited me to a game night at her sister's house. She said she wanted me to get out there a bit more, since I wasn't at the DEO anymore. I said yes, deciding it would be nice to have a change in scenery.
I'd never met Alex's little sister before, but she'd been mentioned near enough always so I was looking forward to meeting her finally.
I knocked on the apartment door and it opened to reveal Alex smiling brightly.
"You're an idiot," I told her, giving her a playful glare.
"What did I do this time?" she asked with a chuckle, stepping to the side to let me in.
I entered and turned around as Alex closed the door. "You told me the wrong apartment number in your text. I knocked on the wrong door and some poor old woman woke up from her nap because of my knocking."
Alex pulled a face. "What? No I– oh..."
She was checking her text and I rolled my eyes playfully.
"Yeah, oh," I teased before repeating, "You're an idiot."
She smiled sheepishly. "Sorry...? Anyway, you're here now, so it's all good."
I gave her a knowing look as she motioned around her. "This is Kara's apartment."
I glanced around and felt a sense of familiarity. "Have I been here before?" I asked Alex, furrowing my eyebrows. "I feel like I have."
Alex shook her head. "Not to my knowledge... Oh, Kara's coming."
I ignored the sense of deja vu I felt and turned to see a blonde woman walking towards us. She smiled as she met my eyes, but it seemed half-hearted.
"You must be Kara, Alex's little sister;" I said, smiling in return. "I'm Y/N."
Kara nodded and bit her lip as she glanced down for a moment. "Alex's little sister, right... glad to see you could make it, Y/N."
"Come on, I'll introduce you to everyone," Alex said, dragging me to the others who were sat on the couches.
I barely had chance to thank Kara for letting me come over before I was dragged and introduced to everyone. Well, I knew J'onn and Brainy already, but I befriended James and Nia. Apparently there was another girl – the infamous Lena Luthor – who was supposed to come tonight, too, but she couldn't make it.
Game night pretty much consisted of us playing several different games like Charades, Monopoly, Jenga and a few others, whilst smack-talking our day jobs. Pizza was ordered, wine was poured, and I got to know Alex's (well, Kara's) friends better. They were all lovely and I almost forgot why I was there in the first place.
We were in the middle of watching an intense game of cards between Brainy and J'onn when I saw Kara taking the takeaway boxes and empty glasses into the kitchen. I stood up and grabbed the remaining glasses, joining her in the kitchen.
"Hey, you didn't have to do that," Kara said when she noticed me.
"It's cool," I shrugged, leaving the glasses by the sink. "I don't mind washing up if you want."
Kara shook her head politely. "No need. I'll just stack the dishwasher later."
I nodded and went quiet for a moment, watching Kara pack the leftover pizza to put in the fridge.
"Thank you for having me over tonight," I said, glad to have the chance to finally speak to her without excited yelling in the background. "I know it was technically Alex who invited me, but thanks."
She paused and looked up at me, offering a small smile. "It's okay. Alex kind of told me about everything that's happening with you and she thought you could use the break. So did I."
I chuckled and felt my cheeks growing warm with embarrassment. "Wow. Your first impression of your sister's best friend is that she's crazy. Now I'm thankful you even let me in your house."
Kara stifled a laugh. "I never thought that. I just thought that there was this girl who was having some troubles and needed a break from it all. That's all."
I smiled gratefully at the blonde. "Well, I appreciate that, Kara."
Kara glanced up at me from the pizza box and I never really realised how pretty her eyes were until she was staring at me for so long. They seemed so familiar, too, and I suddenly didn't feel so lost.
"Hey, is there anymore pizza?" Alex's voice made me jump and I broke eye contact with Kara. "I'm feeling peckish."
Kara smiled at her sister and handed her another slice.
"Awesome, thanks," Alex spoke with her mouth full.
"Oh, Alex," I complained, nudging her jokingly.
Alex laughed and headed back into the living-room to join the others.
"I don't know if Alex said, but we do this every Friday," Kara spoke up, grabbing my attention again. "If you're not busy, you can come..."
I nodded, smiling softly. "I'm currently unemployed, so why not?"
Kara chuckled and bit her lip, looking down for a moment. I couldn't really get myself to look away, instead accidentally admiring her and the comforting energy she radiated.
She looked up again and nodded my way. "Does that hurt much?"
I subconsciously raised my hand to my bruised jaw and sighed. "A little. It's not as bad compared to when I first got it, but yeah."
"How did you get it? If you don't mind saying..."
I smiled at her to lighten the mood. "I was on a mission and got into a fight with some Children of Liberty. It got pretty rough because my mind has been elsewhere lately, as you know, but Supergirl saved me. She really is the girl of steel, isn't she?"
Kara suppressed a smile. "So you don't think Supergirl should stay away from the DEO?"
I pulled a face and shook my head. "Definitely not. And the fact that you know that means Alex has been telling you more than she should be... what was it you did again?"
"Journalist at CatCo," she quipped with a stifled grin of amusement.
I nodded, mirroring her expression. "Ah, see? You know the ins and outs of our work and you're a journalist. Is that really the best combo?"
Laughter slipped from her lips and I felt my heart beat exceptionally fast at that moment, to my surprise.
"I guess that just makes it easier to talk to you, though," I complimented, giving her a grateful look. "Nothing to hide."
Her grin faded into a small smile as she broke eye contact. "Yeah..."
"Are you guys coming back? We're starting another round of Jenga!" Alex called to us.
"I believe that's our cue," I said to Kara, standing up straight and making a move to leave. "You playing?"
Kara looked back up and breathed out, giving me a half-hearted smile. "Right behind you."

125 How I Met Your Mother Prompts
More prompts this one is mega long but broken up by character. I think it’s a pretty good mix of funny and angsty. Break at 15.

17 “Okay, pep talk! You can do this, but to be more accurate, you probably can’t. You’re way out of practice and he’s/she’s way too hot for you. So, remember, it’s not about scoring. It’s about believing you can do it, even though you probably can’t. Go get ‘em, tiger!”
18 “De — wait for it — nied! Denied! We’re goin’ out tomorrow night.”
19 “Step six is called purg— wait for it. Keep waiting. Keep waiting for all of eternity only to discover that there’s no escape —atory.”

27 “Just be yourself. Say something nice.” “Which one? I can't do both.”
28 “Before you know it, you'll be marrying a man/woman who once ate a vanilla-scented candle!” “That was on me. I shouldn't have left it in the kitchen. Though, it was lit. Man, he/she dumb.”
29 “Destined? Aren't you tired of waiting for destiny, NAME? Isn't it time to make your own destiny?“
30 “NAME was great.” “Exactly, and you threw it all away to chase after some hot piece of ass.” “You mean you?” “Thank you!”
31 “Oh, we're busting apple bags? I can bust apple bags.“
32 “NAME, I am not ready for them to find out about us.” “Then you're gonna have to stay in there for the entire trilogy. Don't worry, it's only 382 minutes.” “Nerd!”
33 “You know NAME? Been thinking about it. Guess it's kind of nice you're such a bad-ass.” “It's pretty bad-ass you're so nice, NAME.”
34 “14 seconds! And already some dingdong is stepping up, thinking he can get some of this broke off.”
35 “But timing is a bitch.”
36 “Well, maybe this isn't a breakup. Maybe this is two friends getting back together.“
37 “There's something between us. Maybe my head was saying, 'nip it in the bud', because my heart was saying something else ...”
38 “I just finished a seven-day cleanse.” “I thought you just started that yesterday.” “I finished early, okay?”
39 “NAME! I just had a great idea!” “Oh, do whatever you want to me, just don't wake me up.”
40 “Okay, I've missed you. Not in a 'we're gonna make out' way, not even in an 'I forgive you' way. Just in an 'I've missed you' way.”
41 “I may not love you the way you love me, but I do love you.”
42 “But ... umm.”
43 “Why am I constantly looking for reasons not to be happy?”
44 “Oh, that’s right. I’m alone.”
45 “I’m gonna give you summer teeth ... some’re here, some’re there.”
46 “You can’t run back to the past because it’s familiar.”
47 “Nobody asked you, NAME.”
48 “It’s one thing to not want something. It’s another to be told you can’t have it.”
49 "I am never going to have closure. Okay, closure doesn't exist."
50 “You are going to miss out on something great.”
Ted Mosby
51 "If you're not scared then you're not taking a chance. And if you're not taking a chance, then what the hell are you doing anyway?"
52 “You can ask the universe for signs all you want but ultimately we'll only see what we want to see...when we're ready to see it.”
53 "Nothing good happens after 2:00 am… when 2:00 am rolls around, just go home and go to sleep."
54 "The more you fight it, the worse it’s gonna get. It’s like when your car slides on ice, you steer into the skid."
55 "Sorry, Peter. We're grown ups now, we can't fly to Nevrland with you anymore."
56 "I wound up shame-eating the whole pizza. I woke up all greasy and sweaty. My sheets looked like what they wrap deli sandwiches in. Maybe I should join a gym. Do you go to a gym?"
57 "People make fun of the guy/girl who stays home every night doing nothing, but the truth is that guy/girl is a genius.”
58 “Love doesn't make sense! You can't logic your way into or out of it. Love is totally nonsensical. But we have to keep doing it or else we're lost and love is dead, and humanity should just pack it in. Because love is the best thing we do.”
59 “Everyone has an opinion on how long it takes to recover from a breakup.”
60 “There are a lot of little reasons why the big things in our lives happen.”
61 “There are two big days in any love story: the day you meet the guy/girl of your dreams and the day you marry him/her.”
62 ““I’m crazy about you. I think we should be together. What do you say?” “Yes. No. Maybe.” “Those are the three options.”
63 “The littlest thing can cause a ripple effect that changes your life.”
64 “It's kind of insane how much happened in just a day and a half.”
65 “Whether a gesture's charming or alarming, depends on how it's received.”
66 “Because sometimes even if you know how something's gonna end that doesn't mean you can't enjoy the ride.”
67 “Shouldn't we hold out for the person who doesn't just tolerate our little quirks but actually kinda likes them?”
68 “I used to be in such a hurry all the time. Everything was so urgent. Now I figured, if it's going to happen it'll happen when it happens. I'm not going anywhere, he’s/she's not going anywhere. What's the rush, right?”
69 “I think for the most part if you're really honest with yourself about what you want out of life, life gives it to you.”
70 “We spend so much effort trying to keep parts of our lives hidden, even from our closest friends, that in those rare times when we do open up, it's amazing how minor those secrets all end up being.”
71 “You may think your only choices are to swallow your anger or throw it in someone's face, but there's a third option: You can just let it go, and only when you do that is it really gone and you can move forward.”
72 “I'm sorry, when I'm excited I abbreviate words I shouldn't.”
73 “We gotta wait for the real thing, no matter how tough it gets.”
74 “When you believe in people, people come through.”
75 “If you love something, you can never let it go. Not even for a second. Or it's gone forever.“
76 “Hey ref! Check your voicemail, I think you've missed a few calls!“
77 “Turns out, when you projectile vomit on skates, you roll right into the spray.“
78 “NAME, if you asked a hundred people: 'Who's the worst person you could possibly date?' They'd all say 'your therapist', except the ones saying 'NAME'.”
79 “Sometimes our best decisions are the ones that don't make any sense at all.“
80 “We've always been a trio! We're right up there with Batman and Robin and Alfred. Romeo and Juliet and the apothecary. Salt and pepper and cumin.“
Lily Aldrin
81 “You guys dated before. That time counts. The clock doesn't reset to zero. It un-pauses from where you left off.”
82 “We struggle so hard to hold on to these things that we know are gonna disappear eventually. And that’s really noble.”
83 “You can’t just skip ahead to where you think your life should be.”
84 “I know it's a mistake, but there are certain things in life where you know it's a mistake but you don't really know it's a mistake because the only way to really know it's a mistake is to make the mistake and look back and say 'yep, that was a mistake.' So really, the bigger mistake would be to not make the mistake, because then you'd go your whole life not knowing if something is a mistake or not.”
85 “Yes, I'm in a rotten mood. No, I don't want to talk about it. Yes, this has booze in it. No, it's not my first.”
86 “The 'no more surprises'-thing is the best part of being married.”
87 “So, what do you want to do tonight? Drink ourselves blind, set a car on fire? Oh, watch a movie that doesn't start with a desk lamp jumping on top of a capital 'I'?”
88 “Baby, you're like 20 slutty chicks all rolled into one.” “Sweet-talk is not gonna change my mind!”
89 “So this is what you guys do? You invite other couples over for dinner, to judge them and feel superior?” “Oh, grow up, NAME, that's why any couple invites anyone over ever!”
90 “I think my soul just threw up a little bit.“
91 “Your heart's talking to you, NAME. Do you have the guts to listen to it?”
92 “I don't care if the dishes aren't done, okay? If you care, you do it.” “Great, then I don't care if you have an orgasm. If you care, you do it.”
93 “Who wants hot-wings?” “I'm in... or maybe we should just pour hot-sauce on NAME, since he's/she’s a total chicken.”
94 “I hate how you're always right.” “It's my best, and most annoying, trait.“
95 “Sex now, we'll do the foreplay after.“
96 “NAME check it! Three blond babies drinking bad-decision-juice at eight o'clock.”
97 “If you keep lying to me, if you keep cutting me out of decisions, if you keep using words like winning and losing when you talk about our marriage, you are going to lose me.”
98 “Why not just say goodbye to the bad things?”
99 “Say goodbye to all the times you felt lost, to all the times it was a no instead of a yes, to all the scrapes and bruises, to all the heartache.”
100 “Where’s the poop, NAME? Where’s the poop?”
Marshall Eriksen
101 “Hey I have given up peeing in the shower for you!”
102 “Why does he/she keep doing this? He meets them. He/She likes them way too much. He/She goes way too big too soon. He/She ends up blowing it. I can't take this any more. He's/She’s fallen in love so many times now.”
103 “Ow! Paper cut ... Death is all around us.”
104 “This is a pie chart describing my favorite bars. And this is a bar graph describing my favorite pies.”
105 “It's a little late but WHAT THE BALLS IS THIS?”
106 “Hey baby, it's me. Can you bail me out of jail? I thought I saw big foot in Central Park so I tackled him. But it turned out to be Russell Brand.”
107 “Being in a relationship is hard. And committing, making sacrifices it's hard. But if it's the right person, it's easy. Looking at that guy/girl, and knowing he’s/she's all you really want out of life, that should be the easiest thing in the world. And if it's not like that then he’s/she's not the one.”
108 “Here's the thing, NAME. I'm snuggly. You're not. Who wouldn't want to snuggle up next to this business on a Sunday morning? Wrapped in comfort and it's raining outside and there's muffins warming in the oven. I'm cuddly bitch. Deal with it.”
109 “He’s:She's never seen Star Wars?! NAME, the only people in the universe who haven't seen Star Wars are the characters in Star Wars. And that's cause they lived them, NAME! That's cause they lived the Star Wars.”
110 “Love died. The love that made you all believe in love, that's dead now.”
111 “I’ve never asked NAME to do anything ‘no questions asked’ because I never wanted to. He’s/She’s the love of my life. I never keep anything from him/her.”
112 “Happy Slapsgiving!”
113 “This is what I miss about being in a couple. I always had someone to go to concerts with, or farmer's market, or brunch. God, I miss brunch!” “Well, I guess you could - well, you could try going to brunch alone.” “Oh, you don't think I've tried?” [FLASHBACK]  “Table for one.” “One... Couple?” “Um, no, just me.” “Really? For brunch?” “You're right. Who am I kidding?” [Leaves restaurant. End of Flashback] “Oh, the Popover Pantry! That place is great. Can we go get brunch tomorrow?” “Of course, sweetie.” “Can I go with you guys?” “Really? For brunch?”
114 “That’s life, you know. We never end up where you thought you wanted to be.”
115 “That cake. Best cake I ever had. Seriously, my stomach was like, ‘Hey bro, I don’t know what you’re eating cause I don’t have any eyes but it’s basically awesome, so keep sending it down Gullet Alley.’”
116 “Revenge fantasies never work out the way you want.”
117 “I’m a good boyfriend/girlfriend in my sleep.”
118 “You have to let me dance my own battles.”
119 “One good deed leads to another and another.”
120 “Look at us, riding around in a limo, eating hot dogs…it’s like we’re the president.”
121 “All hail beercules!”
122 “I don’t know what to do with my hands. What do I normally do with my hands?”
123 “Hey, baby.” “We hate NAME now. Get on board or the sexting stops.” “NAME’s a son of a bitch!”
124 “Are these chicken wings or angel wings? God, I love these things.”
125 “Oh, and you think you can step up to me? To me?!”

Hello!! UwU Could you do a smol scenario with Tabe, Overhaul, and/or Geten with their crush or S/o on a fancy little date? Also some very slight angst with mega fluff? I'm just feeling angsty fluffy rn and Im not really sure why. ( ╹▽╹ )
Hmmm, I'm not sure if I've ever been good at angst but I'll try to work it into there somehow!
~Fancy Date with Tabe/Kai/Geten~
Tumblr media
headcanon|scenario|imagine|match-up
~Tabe~
-Sorimitsu wanted to do something special for you tonight so he told you (in his own special way) to get ready for a date. However, you didn't want to really leave the apartment today. You see, today you've been stressed! Your phone wasnt plugged in correctly last night, so it didnt charge. That means your alarm didnt go off. You were in a rush this morning, skipped breakfast, and arrived to work (or school) way too late. There you dealt with bullcrap all day. When you came home finally after car trouble (or a missed train/bus), you just wanted to sink into the mattress and disappear.
-But here you were...You groaned in slight annoyance when the peppy waiter came to your table. You felt a bit bad because the waiter didnt do anything wrong, you just weren't in the mood to be social. Everything didnt really spiral out of control until Tabe mentioned going to a movie now that you've finished dinner. Then you finally snapped.
-"Oh my God, Tabe I dont want to do that! I mean, you didn't even notice how long my day was today? Did you even stop to think about what I WANTED TO DO?! I just...I just wanna go home and go to sleep!" You finished with a groan.
-"...okay...okay." Tabe answered before he silently stood from the table and went with you to the car. Immediately the guilt shut in on you. When you made it to the house you finally fell asleep but not without guilt heavy on your chest.
-The very next morning you woke up and went straight to Tabe. You noticed he hasnt eaten breakfast yet so you can tell he's still a bit upset from last night. After you put on some breakfast, you go to him and sit on his lap. "I'm sorry about last night Sorimitsu. I was just stressed but that still doesn't give me the right to hurt you. I'm really sor-" Tabe stopped your words by squeezing you tight. You knew at that moment it meant that you were forgiven...and you were loved.
Tumblr media
~Overhaul~
-When he said he wanted you to get along with the other Precepts, this is not what he meant. You were spending all your time...all his time with them lately! Late night snack runs with Tabe and Setsuno, Card games with Hojo and Mimic, Reading sessions with Tengai and Nemouto, Video games with Hari, Gym trips with Rappa and Katsukame, taking care of Deidoro's hangover...Hell, you were even having tea with the old man!!! Kai was going insane!
-So he decided to take you on a fancy date to distract you from the others, and to focus your time on him. Everything was going fairly well until your phone buzzed in the middle of dinner and your face lit up with a smile when you checked it. "Hehe, Setsuno got his foot stuck in the trash can again." You giggled and began to text back until Kai snatched your phone from your hand and Overhauled it!
"Chisaki, what the fuck!?" You glared at him in shock. He shut his eyes for a second but when he opened them back, you could see the anger in them. "What the fuck??? I should be asking you the same thing! You've been up everyone's ass lately but you haven't thought to spend a single second with me? Your ACTUAL boyfriend?!"
-Your face contorted from anger and shock to confusion, and finally laughter. "Is my devil jealous of his friends???" You teased him. He scoffed and looked down at his plate. His red cheeks were obvious as the blush crept up from his mask. "Okay..." You stood up and moved your chair to sit next to him. "Please move, you're too close." He groaned and tried to push you away. "Oh no sir, Mr. Chisaki! I have a dinner date with my handsome devil so of course I have to use it wisely. I wanna give you the love that I've been neglecting, and squeeeeeeze myself against you." You pulled him into a tight hug. He sighed in annoyance, but you could tell the obvious signs of a smile under his mask.
Tumblr media
~Geten~
-He has been driving you nuts leaving the house to train his powers and go on missions. In fact, you've barely seen him in the past few weeks! He comes and goes at all hours of the day/night and he never stays long enough unless he's having you silently patch up his wounds or getting some rest.
-After confronting him about the issue (or pestering him) he decided to plan a date for you at some upscale restaurant down the road. Guess what happened on that night? Geten never showed...
-You tried to call him on the way back to the apartment because you were worried sick about him! However, your worry turned to anger when you stepped through the door and saw him asleep on the couch. You pushed him off and he quickly jolted awake. "Shit! You scared me y/n! What's your issue now?" He rubbed his head after getting up from the ground.
-"GETEN, IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT'S WRONG THEN MAYBE YOU SHOULD SLEEP OUT HERE UNTIL YOU FIGURE THAT SHIT OUT." You stomped past him and went into the bedroom. "Night." You slammed the door and locked it, letting him know he was destined to sleep on the couch tonight.
-Geten tossed, turned, and groaned all night. He couldn't sleep without you and you knew that. He messed up bad this time...but he knew how to fix it.
-the next morning you got up and went into the dining area to see candles lit up next to a poorly cooked meal on the table. Geten was even dressed in a suit (which was an extremely rare sight) with his long hair up into a loose bun. "Join me for dinner or whatever..." He grumbled and held his hand out on the hopes you'd take it. You giggled at his pink cheeks and grabbed his hand, pulling him into a tight hug.
-"I guess I might join you since you're not late this time." You said before kissing his cheek.

Idk if you do fic writing but maybe GO -because I'm obsessed and "nanny, why are you crying?" Idk. Kinda feeling angsty. If you don't do fic that's cool too. Idk, feeling bored in here on this Friday afternoon... iloveyourworkpleasestartpostingagainokaythanksbye
Oh uh... wow okay hi. I do write fic, thanks for the prompt. I'm not great at angst /lies/ but I can try. Note that I am typing this on my phone. Warlock was singing- internally of course. Nanny wouldn't approve of the future ruler of hell literally singing. Unless of course, he sings queen. So Warlock sang internally, voicing his joy only in his head. “Yes father, I would love to go.” It’s the first time he has really been allowed to go to an event like this. “I can behave. I promise.” “I’m sure you will not embarrass me. Especially with your nanny there to keep you in line.” Crowley's head shot up. He had very little interest in going to these events. Of the very few things humans did that he actually had an influence in- he hated dinner parties the most. He just found them dreadfully boring. “Yes sir, of course.” He wanted to sit in his room and drink that night out of existence. “I'll make sure Warlock is the perfect son.” As soon as his father had left Crowley told Warlock to go play in the garden. He followed of course. Hunting down the one being on this planet who would understand his opinions on the matter. “Sometimes, Francis, I really hate being perfect.” Crowley ‘leaned’ against a shrubbery and watched Warlock chasing after a rabbit he had found. “You are far too vain, my lady. Though that may be your only flaw.” Aziraphale stood, wiping the dirt off of his hands. “To what do I owe the pleasure of your company this afternoon?” Crowley sighs dramatically and looks away. “Do you recall, oh it wasn't that long ago of course you do, when politicians and debate first started developing into a less- er… civil manner. I suggested to some minister or some such that they all get together for a party.” Azira nods. “Honestly, they do seem to resolve things better when they are all in a good mood.” he sighs, “I suppose I should have thanked you for that.” Crowley shrugged. “But are the decisions they are making actually good ones? I had to use a lot of questionable logic to not get in trouble for that.” Aziraphale laughs, only a little. “Well anyway, I have to go to one with the antichrist. I can't imagine it will be enjoyable in the slightest.” And Crowley can see the way his angel physically deflates. Because something is wrong. “Everything alright Angel?” “Hmm? Oh yes, everythings just… tickety boo.” And Crowley rolls his eyes- not that you can tell, but he does it anyway. “We have been over this. No one who is tickety boo actually uses the term tickety boo. What's wrong, come on now tell me. We’re partners aren't me. If you have concerns about the child… or something else?” And aziraphale sighs, and frowns and crowley doesn't like it at all. “It's just… I've been thinking recently… Warlock is getting older and- and well he's not spending so much time at home anymore and you always go away with him and I-I just feel like when you go… I feel- you get more chances to tempt the child than I do is all.” And Crowley laughs. And Aziriphale will never tell him how much it hurts when he laughs at him. “Oh Angel, you should have told me sooner why- we could have certainly found some excuse for you to come with us. Might need a miracle but I can certainly work something out… If that's really what you are so down about.” And Azira forces himself to smile. And Crowley can see through it but he doesn’t say anything. And Warlock comes running over. “Nanny, nanny come look, I’ve killed it.” And Crowley smiles. And Azira gasps. And they go together to find the poor creature. “Very good.” “Now now, Warlock. We should respect and love all of god's creatures. How about a proper burial.” Aziraphale doesn’t give him a chance to argue. He takes the rabbit up in one hand and leads him over to a steadily growing wildlife cemetery. “But Nanny says that-” “The one thing you should respect is your elders.” Crowley smiles softly over at his Angel, even if there is no acknowledgement of what he has said. “Yess nanny, I’ll get the shovel.” “Thank you for that dear.” Aziriphale says it quietly and doesnt turn around. ~~~~~Convenient time skip for exposition~~~~~ “He called me dear. Can you believe that? I mean I know he does it all the time. It’s just his nature. He calls everyone dear. It just felt different this time, you know?” He continued gently misting his plants. “He's a terrible gardener, but I can forgive that.” There's a light rustling and crowley stops. Resting his hand on his hip with all his demon sass. “We have been over this. It’s not like that. Satan though, I wish it was. But could you imagine?” He laughs and goes back to tending his own little garden in his room. “I’d have to teach him how to dance though. Angel only knows one dance and-” “Nanny who are you talking to?” Crowley shrieks and spins and nearly sprays Warlock in the face with the spray bottle before catching himself. “I wasn't talking to anyone. Do not sneak up on me.” He sets the spray bottle down and leads them out of the side closet into the main area. “Sorry. I’m jsut bored because i was listening to father talk about work and i started thinking and - Oh yeah i came up to ask you something.” Warlock grins and Crowley can't figure out if he is proud of or afraid of the demonic gleam in his eyes. “Do you have a date for the party Nanny?” Crowley nearly falls out of his chair. “No-I- Well- Am i supposed to?” He straightens out his skirt and tries to compose himself. “Well, I was listening to father and he was talking about how one of his partners got a new girlfriend and father hates her but he just knows that his partner is going to bring this girl with him and it got me thinking that you are a fairly pretty woman. At least, far prettier than my friends' nannies so i figured you must be seeing someone.” Warlock pauses for air so Crowley takes the chance to cut in. “Well, if ruling hell doesn’t work out I suppose you could make a career in flattery.” He decides he is definitely not going to address the issue of his love life with the antichrist. “It's just that i'd really like to meet him. So i asked father if he hated all boyfriends and girlfriends or if it was just the man he works with and he said that they weren't all bad and he wouldn't even mind people bringing dates to things like this if they weren't so insufferable as that girl so i asked if he would let you bring your boyfriend and he seemed really confused but he said that your boyfriend couldn't possibly be as bad as that girl so as long as you do your job and i really want to meet him nanny.” And again warlock pauses for breath. This time Crowley doesn’t speak. He thinks for a moment before opening his mouth. “Say you’ll take him to the party or I- I’ll- when i take over hell i won't let you have sweets.” Crowley laughs. “Would it still be as exciting if you had already met him?” Crowley could laugh from the look on the boy's face. “You aren’t dating Clyde are you? It would be just like you to date another nanny and he's just so bossy and he doesn’t even believe ill take over hell and… I don’t like him or stupid Jackson and his stupid new toy train.” Warlock folds his arms over his chest and pouts. Crowley does laugh this time. “No, Clyde is too… too much of a nanny. No Warlock, I would be bringing Francis.” Warlock does not look as surprised as Crowley would have expected. “The gardener? I mean I guess I see it but he's so soft and you're so- uh..also soft. But like dark soft.” and crowley nearly growls. “I. Am. Not. Soft. And if you say it again you’ll be going to bed early.” He can hear the plants rustling behind the door. “Well it's just… he looks like he escaped from a male convent.” “A monastery?” “And you look like… you. Like you are waiting for people to find the body of your ex husband who disappeared three years ago so you can play the grieving widow and inherit his fortune.” “You are very creative, warlock. I am eager to see what your future looks like. Yes, seeing as I am aloud I will be bringing Francis as my date to the party. Go play in your room for a but, Nanny has something to take care of.” As soon as Warlock is gone Crowley pops back down to the garden. “Brother Fran- Oh don't scream Angel, it’s just me.” Crowley waits for him to calm down. “I told Warlock we are dating.” “You did what!” “Oh for Satan's sake angel I said don’t scream.” Crowley smiles and brushes his hair back. “Yes, Miss Ashtoreth, I won't scream but I must ask dear. You did what?” “Its brilliant really Angel. And Warlock gave me the idea. Maybe you really are having an influence on him.” The comment goes right over the angels head. “I've told him we are dating. Then you can be my date to parties and things. It’s fine with his father by the way. No miracle needed. You can have just as much chance to influence the boy as me.” And Azira smiles. And Crowley knows it's still fake but he can’t possibly figure out why. So he leaves it alone. “I guess when you put it like that it’s okay to lie.” Oh. Oh right. “Of course Angel. So may I tempt you to join me for a dinner party?” “I suppose. Yes. You could.” ~~~ Time skip because i hold all the power ~~~ “He said yes. Can you believe that. Of course he says its all a lie so he doesn’t really love me but i suppose we've known that this whole time haven’t we? Yes I suppose we have. We’ve been over this.” Rustling. Crowley sneers. “Oh you know what, shove it up your roots Phil. I would run you through the disposal if you weren’t the second most perfect specimen i’ve ever seen. Don’t tell the others of course. How will i strike the fear of- uh- me into them if they know i treat you like this.” ~~~ Time skip because that was just self indulgent~~~ "Oh, Miss Ashtoreth, who's your friend" Crowley cringes at the sound if that voice and grips Aziraphale hand a little tighter, trying to sink into the wall. "Not now Clyde, I'm trying to watch Warlock. Unlike some people, I take my job seriosly." "Oh please, what trouble can they really get into here? Be polite, introduce me." Crowley pouts. Legitimately pouts. And Azira pulls his hand away to offer it to 'Clyde' "I'm Francis, Lady Ashtoreth' partner." Warlock watches Crowley's mental battle to not rip Clyde's hand off when he reaches out. "Im Clyde, of course. I nanny for one of Warlocks friends. Miss Ashtoreth and I are very close, funny she didn't mention you." Azira laughs nervously. "Yes well, as a couple were fairly-" "Private." Crowley takes his hand bag and drags them away. "I hate that man. Honestly, he dares question the legitimacy of our relationship. We are perfect together." And Azira forces are smile. Because he knows. And Crowley can tell it's forced, but he doesn't press it. Because he doesn't know. "So this is the uh… boyfriend Warlock talks about" they spin to the new person, crowley doesn't let go of his hand. It's an awkward turn. "Yes Mr. Dowling." Crowley is beaming. And Azira hates it because his adversary is trying to tempt him again and he can't get in trouble. "I must be honest, I never would have suspected. Of course, my wife always has more of a sense for those things" he nods a little, like that makes sense. "Well sir, we do try to be professional at work." Wonderful excuse Crowley. A genius you are. "Thank you for allowing him to come with us though." "Yes well, you seem to still be watching after Warlock so I don't see the harm in letting you have some life" he sighs, looking around. "Er… would you mind telling Warlock he can't stay for dinner. There are really some important decisions to be made so we are rereading some ending the children home early." "Of course sir" Crowley was not looking forward to upsetting the antichrist. He resigned himself to it, and set about locating the boy again. Every person who cast doubt on his relationship with aziraphale upset him more until he was eager to get out. But of course, every time he looked back at his angel, Azira seemed to be having fun. Laughing and chatting with whoever they had bumped into. And of course, there were people who weren't entirely surprised. Which made it a little easier for Crowley to stomach socializing. Every chance he got to tell someone that he and Azira were dating, he took. He adored being able to say it. Although, he noticed, it did seem to put his date a little on edge. Finally they found Warlock. Or... he found them. "Nanny this is boring, I want to leave." Crowley sighed. "Well you're in luck. Your father is sending you home. Come on now, let's get your things." If crowley were anything other than a demon he might be ashamed to admit that he used a minor demonic miracle to get than hem out without people noticing. As an angel Aziriphale is rather distraught over his own use of a miracle to keep people from noticing them. On the drive home even Warlock can tell that it's tense. Azira waits for Crowley to put the child to bed before saying anything. But as soon as he walks down the stairs. "I can't do this." And he can see Crowley break. Anthony Janthony Crowley, demon from hell, nearly starts sobbing on the stairs. But only for the fraction of a second when that wave of emotion first hit's him can you tell. Then he carefully packs it away. "Can't do what Angel?" And Crowley knows. And aziraphale gives a sad little smile, because he knows. "We aren't right Crowley. Every single person could tell. You could tell" "Aziraphale it's not about what some stupud humans think. We are doing this because- so that you can spend a little more time with the kid. Put us on even ground. Who cares what people say. We can do this." And Crowley hates that he's practically begging and Aziraphale hates that he's practically begging and they both hate this situation. "I can't do this Crowley. I. Me. I cant. I'm an angel Crowley and it's just wrong to lie about something so... intimate. So human. It's wrong to lie to everyone." And Crowley can see that tidal wave comming in again. So why not swim out to meet it. In a flash he's right in front of his Angel. Holding his face. Pleading. "Why does it have to be a lie?" And he hates himself for leaning foreward and kissing that stupid, stupid angel. But for the briefest second he sees heaven. Then Aziraphale pulls away. "I've said it once, I'll say it hundreds of times. Until you understand. You go to fast for me" It crashes over him and he's drowning. "Go. Go away. Go back to your own house tonight. Don't bother comming in tomorrow. Itll be too rainy for you to get any gardening done" "Oh, Dear don't-" "Get. Out. Aziraphale." And he leaves. And the door closes. And Crowley barely makes it up to his room. He doesn't make it up to his room. "Nanny, why are you crying?" Warlock steps out of his bedroom door and puts a gentle hand on Crowley's arm. "That party was just so dreadful" and -for the first time since Warlock had learned to walk- his nanny picks him up, carries him to bed, and tucks him in. "Thank you, Warlock." And then he leaves. ~~~Time skip brought to you by a lazy author and stuff~~~ "He HATES me Phil." Crowley sits in the corner. To dry to cry. He just sits there, staring at the plant. "He he's me and you know what I hate me too and I bet you hate me. Warlock doesn't hate me though. The one person that I need to hate everything doesnt hate me." A dry sob shakes his rib cage. "I've made a discovery though. I do believe angel saliva is some weird form of holy water. I thought ink he was about to kiss me back. Right before he pulled away. His eyes were closed I know it." It's silent for far too long. "I love him, Phil." Ahnhdmhxnabdh I haven't gotten a prompt in like ever. I love you sm. I haven't written GO fic in forever. I did more research for this than for my actual writing projects because I did not preciously know what a male nunnery was called. This was fun. Btw- Phil is a fake plant. Crowley doesn't know yet.

Your Friendship with Sebastian has been the best thing that happened to you. You got to know each other through your job since you were one of the people responsible for the props in some movies, Marvel ones as well. The both of you instantly had a connection, and you knew you weren't the only one who felt it when Sebastian visited you to talk to you during filming breaks, as you normally sat alone in one of corner of the set, just like he did that day.
"If Anthony makes me laugh one more time, I swear I'll punch him. He's responsible for me looking unprofessional." He chuckled, sipping on his coffee. You nodded, smiling. You've caught Anthony making faces at Sebastian a couple times already. "But you gotta admit, you did the same to him." - "Sure but that's different." - "How is it different?" - "Because it's him then!"
You rolled your eyes and grinned at his childish behavior. "I want to see one day on set where you don't try to manipulate each other." He just shook his head no at your remark. "Can't do. He started it." You laughed at that. Now he really sounded like a straight up child. "By the way, do you wanna go somewhere to eat this evening?" You looked at him, a little startled. He never invited you to go out before, and your friendship had been going on for about 4 month already. "Uhm, I guess." You answered, not 100% sure about his intentions. "As friends or are you asking me out?" He chuckled at your question, finishing his coffee. "As friends, obviously." You nodded. Of course. "So you in?" He asked again, his hopeful gaze lingering on your face. "Yeah." A smile crept it's way onto his way as he nodded. "Is 8 okay?" You nodded, just before a crew guy came around. "Stan, we need you on Set." Sebastian nodded, smiling at you before leaving. You watched as he made his way to his position.
You hated to admit it, but you were developing just the tiniest crush on the romanian actor. Since the first day you've met he has always been a gentleman towards you. He was the only one on set who actually wanted to spend time with you. Of course you had a couple of other friends along your co workers, but when they talked you often felt left out. It wasn't like that with Sebastian. He was sweet, always asking how you're holding up and trying to light up your mood when you felt down. Since you both stayed in the same hotel, you met there a couple times as well to hang out at the hotel bar with the other workers. You cared about each other, and the way he showed that to you had you wrapped around his finger. And you mentally cursed yourself for it. He was a well payed, famous actor while you were some backround person who carries fake weapons around the set. He wouldn't be interested in you. And he just confirmed that.
As the evening arrived you stood infront of your bed in your underwear, different pieces of clothing scattered over the sheets. You had no idea where Sebastian wanted to go since he didn't spend his last break with you (which was fine, he obviously had other friends on set who wanted to talk to him). So you didn't know how to dress. You didn't want to look too fancy nor too casual. You decided on a lacy tank top with a black skirt with some matchig black heels and a jeans jacket. You put on some basic make up and took in your appearance, satisfied with how you looked.
The knock on your door came just in time. You grabbed your back and opened it to find Sebastian smiling down at you. He was wearing a white shirt under a leather jacket and some black jeans. 'Casual.' You thought to yourself. "Hello there." He smiled, pulling you in for a hug. "You look great." He added, his eyes shamelessly flying over your figure, making you blush. "Thanks! You don't look too bad yourself." You chuckled, making him grin.
You two left the hotel to get into a cab outside. Sebastian told the driver the address and he started driving. "Wanna tell me where you're taking me?" You asked, turning to Sebastian. "It's a small Diner Chris and I found the other day." He answered, smiling. You soon arrived at your destination and you followed him into a small booth in a corner. He had good taste, you thought. The diner was nice indeed, it had a nice atmosphere, the soft background music calming you. You ordered food and drinks and started chatting, telling each other about stuff you didn't know yet.
"There's actually a reason I brought you here today." Sebastian suddenly said, making your heart stop for a second. "And what would that be?" You asked as you put another fry in your mouth. He took a breath. "So, you're a woman." You raised your eyebrows at his comment, making him chuckle. "You have amazing observation skills." You joked, smiling as he laughed. "I know, I know. I just...I need your advice." Your brows furrowed in confusion. "Advice with what?" - "There's this girl, she's one of the make up artists and I really don't know how to approach her." You pressed your lips in a tight line as your throat went dry. You took a sip of your Milkshake, trying to calm your nerves. You had no right to be jealous, you were friends, he said it himself.
"Don't tell me you've never approached a woman before." You joked, hiding how uncomfortable you were with the whole situation. He rolled your eyes at your remark, smiling. "Of course not. But I don't know, it's something about her that makes me all nervous, it's weird." He admitted, hitting your arm playfully as you shot him an amused look. "And how am I supposed to help?" - "Tell me how you'd like a guy to ask you out." You turned your gaze away from him, pretending to think. "He should be a real gentleman, show me that he's interested in me rather than saying it. After a while I'd just want him to ask me on a date. That's it." You hated how it sounded almost like your friendship with Seb. Apart from the him liking you part. Sebastian nodded at your description. "It's kinda basic, isn't it?" He asked, making you narrow your eyes. "Oh, you think I'm basic?" - "No not you, but your expectations for men." He grinned. You just shrugged. "No high hopes means less possible disappointment."
The rest of the evening went well. Sebastian seemed to accept your advice since he didn't pick up the topic again. You secretly thanked him for that. About two hours later you decided to leave. You payed and made your way back to hotel, hugging Sebastian goodbye as you arrived at your floor. You didn't know it yet, but working eith him would become a lot harder than it was.
It already started the next day. You haven't seen Sebastian at all, even though he had two breaks already. You tried to tell yourself that it wasn't important, that he probably spend his breaks with his co-workers. But when he finally came to you, a bright smile on his face, you couldn't help but feel your heart flutter. "Y/N, I have great news!" Oh no. "I did it! I talked to Amanda!" So that's her name. "She's really nice, i spend my breaks with her and we're really getting along." Your jaw clenched on it's own accord. The last time you've seen him this happy was when you suprised him with donuts. You forced a smile. "That's great news! I'm happy for you." He grinned, thanking you. He opened his mouth again to continue speaking as his phone vibrated. He took it out, smiling as his screen lit up. "That's her, I gotta go. But still thanks for your help!" He smiled at you before leaving, giving you no time to answer. You sighed, turning back to your coffee. So this was how it'll be.
The next days Sebastian never joined you during his breaks. You got a quick hug when you briefly met each other, and a smile here and there when you brought a prop on set. You forced yourself to hang out with your co-workers to not sit alone during breaks. But you regretted that decision as the topic changed to what's going on between Sebastian and the Make up lady. You rolled your eyes as you tried to keep your full attention to your phone in your hands. God you hated this. You really missed Sebastian.
When work day was over and you made your way off set, you heard someone calling your name. You stopped and turned around, nearly tumbling over as someone basically ran into you to hug you. "Y/N she said yes!" Sebastian almost screamed in your ear before pulling away, a bright smile on his face. "I asked her out and she said yes!" You could practically feel your heart breaking at his words, but smiled anyway. "That's great!" He nodded excitedly. "Thank you, really. Without you I probably wouldn't have spoken to her." You mentally slapped yourself. "No problem, bud." You smiled, padding his shoulder. "Good luck with her!" He thanked you once more before leaving. You let out a deep sigh, turning around to catch a cab to go to your hotel.
You spend the rest of your day in your hotel bed, watching TV with some chinese take-out. Suddenly your phone vibrated, Sebastian name appearing on it. You furrowed your brows, he barely texted you. You picked up your phone to read his message.
'Just wanted to inform you that the date was great! She's so sweet and even has good taste in food!'
You let the phone fell back on the bed as you stared at the ceiling. You hated to admit it but god did you want to be that girl. But it was his choice. And his choice was her.
You tried to avoid Sebastian the following days. You didn't want to hear about him and Amanda, so it was actually a good thing that he didn't visit you during his breaks anymore.
"Hey Y/N, you coming to that party everyone got invited to this Friday?" One of your co-workers, Marc, asked. You shrugged. "Maybe, i don't know. I'm not really a party person." - "Oh come on, you have to come." Jessica pouted. From all your co-workers, you were closest with her. You sighed, you could never turn her down. So you agreed, causing her to smile. You turned your attention back to your phone, checking your mails. A new email made yur jaw slack a little, an offering to work at another movie. You let your gaze drift across the set, debating whether to accept it or not. It would help to get away from Sebastian, and the payment would be better. You sighed, locking your phone again.
As Friday arrived, you forced yourself into a simple, but fancy black dress and some heels. You still haven't accepted the offer from the other movie, but the thought of it still lingered in your mind. Sebastian texted you yesterday that he and Amanda officially started dating, and you felt numb ever since. You've definitely fallen for him, and you hated to see him with someone who wasn't you. So accepting the job wouldn't be so bad.
You walked out of the hotel, taking a cab to the restaurant the managers booked for the whole crew. You sat at the table with some of the prop people, your eyes immediately scanning the room for Sebastian. You spotted him on the dance floor, Amanda in his arms as they talked to each other while swaying to the soft music. You frowned at the scene, taking your phone out. You opened the email about the job offering, taking a breath before typing an answer, accepting it.
As the evening went on, you tried to concentrate on the conversation between the people around you. When you got hungry you slowly made your way to the buffet, grabbing a plate to get yourself some shrimp. "There she is." An all to familiar voice suddenly called, making you jump in suprise. "God Sebastian, warn a girl." You mumbled, putting shrimps onto your plate. "I haven't seen you in a long time, how have you been?" He smiled, a little confused why you didn't react as happy as you normally would. You took a breath, turning to him. "I've been great, you?" - "Amazing! Amanda is a pure angel, I'm so glad to be with her." His eyes shined in pure Happiness and you had a hard time not getting lost in them. "Sounds nice, I'm happy for you." 'Happy to see you so cheerful, not that she's the reason' you mentally corrected yourself. Then you remembered your new job.
"Oh, by the way, I have some news." You added, a forced smile on your face. "I've got a job at a different movie. Their payment is better than here. So, I won't be on set anymore." His face fell at your words. "You're leaving?" You bit your lip nervously, nodding. He just sighed. "So this is goodbye i guess?" You nodded again, showing a sad smile as he hugged you once more. He wished you luck before going back to his girlfriend. You watched as he left, waiting for your eyes to get teary but there was nothing. You body felt numb, your heart stone cold. You took a breath before turning back to your shrimps, secretly wishing this evening would end soon.
When it did finally end you informed everyone that you were leaving and officially quitting your job. You packed your things and left the hotel the same night, taking a cab to the subway to your new job.
*About 2 month later*
The new job was great. The people around you were nice, you never had to spend a break alone. But everything couldn't keep Sebastian off your mind. You did miss him. You barely spoke to each other, a text here and there but nothing more. You wanted to talk to him so badly, but you assumed he was busy with Amanda. When the set of the movie you currently helped on was close to where Sebastian was currently, you actually considered to visit him, but your doubts made that impossible.
It was a late Saturday evening when he texted you again. You were in your current hotel room, watching some lame drama on TV.
Sebastian: 'Where are you right now?'
You got confused by this. He'd never asked that before.
You: 'In a hotel. Why?'
Sebastian: 'Can I come?'
You swore your heartbeat stopped for a second. Why did he want to visit you?
You: 'Of course, is there a specific reason?'
Sebastian: 'We'll talk then, just tell me'
He sounded kind of harsh, which left you even more suspicious. You told him where you were, which he didn't reply to. You turned the TV off, your fingers drumming nervously against the leather couch as you waited for him to arrive, your mind flooding with questions.
A knock at your door forced you out of trance. You walked up to it, noticing how your hands were shaking slightly as you unlocked it before opening it. You were met with a tired looking Sebastian, his hair a mess and beard full grown. Before you could say anything his arms where around you, pulling you into a tight hug. You were startled for a second before you hugged him back, taking in the scent of his cologne. Yes, you really had missed him. "Hi." He finally murmured, pulling back slowly. "Hey." You replied, stepping aside to let him enter your hotel room. He sat down at the couch, you joining him after closing the door.
You sat there in silence for a couple moments, waiting for him to start as he was the one who wanted to come. "I have news." He suddenly said, making you turn your gaze to him while he kept his on his hands. "Amanda and I broke up." Your face fell at his statement while your heart jumped a little. It hasn't gotten over the crush you had on him, even after month of not seeing him. "Sorry to hear that." You said sincere and he nodded. "What happened, if I may ask?" He took a deep breath before answering. "It was a mutual break up, so everythings fine. We kind of rushed into the relationship, it was a bad idea since both of us wanted someone else but kind of settled for each other. It was a dumb, I know that now." You bit your lip nervously as his words hit you. He wanted someone else.
"Weird situation." You remarked. "Who would that someone else be?" Sebastian chuckled lightly at that, making you smile. God you had missed him so much. "Well, in her case it was a camera guy. I've never talked to him so I don't know about him." You nodded, waiting for him to continue. "In my case...she's a close friend of mine. We talked a lot in the past but she never dropped any clues that she felt just as I did, so I looked for other possibilities and found Amanda." You felt your heart racing at his words, his eyes finally meeting yours. He couldn't be talking about you, could he? "But all the time i've spend with Amanda, I couldn't stop thinking of her. And Amanda couldn't stop thinking about that other guy, so both of us forced the other one to confess." He took another deep breath, his gaze still boring into yours. "That's why I'm here." You stopped breathing for a second. No way.
"You want me to help you again cause you don't know how to tell her?" You asked, half joking half serious. He chuckled at that, shaking his head. "No, that's not the reason." He got serious again, taking your hand in his. "I hope I'm not going to regret this, but I like you. You're amazing and beautiful and you understand me more than anyone ever could. And I'm so sorry that we didn't have much contact the last months, I really tried to forget you and be happy with Amanda but I couldn't. You're stuck in my head and it seems like there's no way to get you out." You couldn't help but stare at him in disbelief.
"You like me?" Sebastian furrowed his brows, but smiled. "That's all you heard?" - "God no, no i just-I didn't expect you to like me." His face suddenly fell at your words. "Does that mean you don't feel the same?" He asked carefully. Your eyes widened. "God, no, i mean, yes, I-ugh." You took a breath, slightly amused by Sebastian confused face. "I like you too. Always have." He let out a relieved sigh at that, smiling widely. "Thank god. I was actually scared I was gonna regret coming here." You chuckled before mirroring his smile. You watched as he slowly scooted closer, bringing the hand that wasn't still intertwined with yours to your face, setting it on your cheek. "I've been dreaming to do this." He smiled before he carefully covered your lips with his. The kiss started slow as you got addicted to his taste, a mixture of mint and just him. Your heart nearly busted out your chest, your mind going dizzy at the feeling of his lips against yours. The kiss got more passionate pretty quick as his hand moved to the back of neck while you ran yours through his short strands.
A couple minutes went by before Sebastian pulled away, panting lightly with the bright smile back on his lips. "Definitely should have done that earlier." He noted, making you grin. "Definitely." Your eyes find his as you just smile at each other, happy to finally be together. "I'm really sorry I didn't tell you earlier." He suddenly said, smiling sadly. You just shook your head. "No, don't worry. I could've said something myself, instead i left the job at Marvel to avoid you and Amanda." - "You left because of that?" he asked, amused by your confession. "Were you jealous?" - "Of course I was. I wanted to be in her spot." You pouted, making him chuckle. "Don't worry, you are now." He pecked your lips, making you giggle. "I'm gladly accepting." You captured his mouth into another kiss, feeling him smile against your lips. You were finally in your happy place, with the person you loved the most.

Hey Alex. Your fics completely cheer up whenever I'm in a depressive state. I've read them all so many times. They're incredible. Unfortunately, my boyfriend broke up with me a month ago I guess hes an ex now and I'm confused and broken and Ive been listening non stop to ed sheeran's song "Happier". I was wondering if you could write post break up bellarke fic based kinda on the song, but with a happy ending from bellamys pov? I need a pick me up and a little bit of hope in my life tbh..
I’m really sorry to hear about your break up! That’s rough. Also, side note, that song made me cry. I had never heard it before. So, the happy ending is kind of ambiguous in this fic, but I fully intended for you to assume that the last conversation goes well and they end up back together. I hope you like it! It ended up being more angsty than I had originally planned. [ao3]
He wasn’t planning on stopping by Octavia’s party, using thefact that he was working late as his excuse. But when Pike announced thatBellamy could clock out early, he knew that he had to at least swing by. IfOctavia found out that his schedule opened up and he didn’t stop by, he’d neverhear the end of it.
It wasn’t like Clarke ever stayed at parties long, anyway. He probably wouldn’t even see her. She likely left an hour ago, since she was probablytoo tired from a shift at the hospital or had one early tomorrow morning. So,he took a few deep breaths before heading over to his sister’s apartment.
The party was still raging on when he walked through the door, and Miller immediately put a beer in his hand. “How have you been?” he asked, and Bellamy just shrugged. Miller looked over at Jackson, and Bellamy didn’tmiss the concerned look they exchanged. Yeah, they were worried about him, buthe was fine.
“There you are!” Octavia shouted before he heard the soundof her loud feet rushing toward him. He turned to be ready for her hug, chucklingquietly at her excitement to see him. “Isn’t this a fun party? You’re so happyyou came, right?” she asked, her words slurring together, and he had to fightnot to roll his eyes. She was drunk.
“Yes,” he replied, patting her on the head as he surveyedthe room. No sign of Clarke, thank God. He wouldn’t know what he would say toher if he saw her again. It was inevitable that he would, so he probably shouldfigure something out. But he needed more time to get over the sting of losingher.
He plastered on a smile as Octavia dragged him through theapartment by his hand and introduced him to all her work friends he hadn’t metyet. She ditched him to go whine to Lincoln about something, and Bellamysettled in next to Murphy as he downed the last of his beer. He looked over hisshoulder into the kitchen, spotting those fake margarita beer drinks that Octaviahad recently gotten upset with and let out a sigh. “The good stuff is out onthe patio,” Murphy explained, and he let out a sigh of relief.
“Thank God,” he muttered before making his way out there.
He probably should have known that there would be one or twopartygoers who would be out there. It’s the only quiet place to be at anOctavia Blake party. Bellamy had ducked out here enough times to know that.
But nothing could have prepared him for finding Clarke andRoan out there together.
He freezes for a moment at the sight of Clarke curledup against him with her legs in his lap. It took him a moment to realize thatshe was asleep, and he probably would have laughed at the fact that ClarkeGriffin fell asleep at yet another party if it weren’t for the fact that shewas literally sleeping on Roan.
He clenched his jaw as he fished out a beer from the cooler. He shouldn’t actually be surprised. He and Clarke broke up. She was going tostart seeing other people. He couldn’t have pushed her away any harder, if hewas being honest with himself. But Bellamy had somehow put the prospect ofClarke moving on out of his thoughts, meaning he was blindsided by this.
“Oh hey, man,” Roan said, tearing his eyes away from hisphone to nod at Bellamy. Bellamy nodded back, grinding his teeth together as hedid. Without a word, he walked back into the apartment and took a seat at theempty kitchen table, one of the few spots in the room that gave him a decentview of what was happening on the patio. Maybe he just wanted to torturehimself, but he couldn’t seem to keep his eyes off the two of them as Roan’shand traced up and down Clarke’s back.
“Didn’t you start this whole thing?” Jasper asked as he saton the table, swinging his legs back and forth so that he occasionally hitBellamy.
“Yes,” he huffed, and Clarke started to stir outside. Sherubbed her eyes as she pushed herself up, and Roan put his phone down to saysomething that caused Clarke to erupt into laughter. His chest panged as he sawher bright smile. He couldn’t even remember the last time he saw her smile likethat.
“So, why are you acting like she broke up with you?” Jaspermuttered, and Bellamy took his eyes off Clarke for a moment to glare up at him.
“Jasper, I’m not in the mood,” he snapped. When his eyesreturned to the window, Roan and Clarke had stood up and were facing away fromhim. Both her hands were braced on the railing in front of her, but Roan wasstill rubbing her back.
The fact that it was Roan shouldn’t have surprised Bellamy. He had always had the suspicion that Roan was attracted to Clarke, and it wasn’tlike he could blame Clarke for becoming interested in him once she becamesingle. He was an attractive guy, one that her mother would definitely approveof. He’d probably fit more into Clarke’s world than Bellamy ever did.
Jasper was still mumbling something when Bellamy pushed awayfrom the table. He wasn’t going to sit there all night watching theex-girlfriend he was still in love with flirt with Roan, so he ducked into thekitchen, which was empty. He hopped up onto the counter and let out a breath.
He tried to distract his mind, but the image of themtogether kept popping up in his head again. Bellamy could see them together soclearly, now. Roan didn’t pick fights with Clarke like Bellamy did, no, he wasfar more relaxed and easygoing. He was also not the kind of guy to screw aroundwhen it came to talking about how he felt. Clarke must love that since shedoesn’t have to guess what Bellamy’s thinking anymore or deal with his freakouts when things got a little too serious. She found herself someone who wouldbe upfront with her, and it’s what she deserves.
He pressed his lips together as he heard the patio doorswing open. “Jasper, are you ready for more shots?” he heard Roan tease, andBellamy threw his head back. God, Roan was even more fun around Bellamy’sfriends. “Clarke?”
“Oh, God no,” Clarke giggled, and it was such a sweet, happysound… and why wouldn’t it be? Clarke seemed to be happy, probably happier thanshe had been with Bellamy. There was a quiet mumbling out there as Bellamyheard Jasper skip after Roan. “What?” he heard Clarke say, and he hit his headagainst the cabinet behind him.
He fucked up. God, he fucked up. He was falling too hard andfast for her and got scared. Everything with Clarke felt so natural and normal, and it scared him how easily he could get comfortable with her, especiallygiven how things went with Echo and Gina in the past.
All he could remember was how much he hurt before, and hisstupid, stupid self did what healways did: pushed her away before she could push him away. And now she was gone.He couldn’t blame anyone but himself for the way he picked that fight.
He was taking another swig of his drink when Clarke strodeinto the kitchen, freezing as soon as she saw him. Her brows furrowed as shegave him a once over, and his heart pounded as he waited for her to saysomething.
“Octavia said you had to work tonight,” she finally settledon, and he fought not to roll his eyes at the fact that the two of them couldonly seem to make small talk now.
“My shift ended early, so I stopped by,” he shrugged, andshe nodded along. Her brows were still furrowed, and he could tell that she hadsomething to say to him. But of course, his jealousy was still festering underthe surface and he said, “You seemed to have a good nap outside.”
Her eyes widened at him, and he immediately regretted it.She was free to do whatever the hell she wants, after all. He shouldn’t try tomake her feel bad for moving on. But of course, he always said the wrong thingat every given opportunity.
“It was a long day,” she settled on, and he nodded along, keepinghis eyes fixed on the almost empty beer in his hand. “Actually, I was just aboutto leave. I should go find your sister before I go,” she muttered beforeturning to leave, and Bellamy hit his head on the cabinet again, cursinghimself for pushing her away again.
He listened as Clarke gave her goodbyes to their friends. Montysaid something to make her laugh, and he found a smile tugging at his lips whenhe heard that beautiful sound. She talked with Harper, he thinks, for a minute…and the ease with which she speaks to everyone causes his chest to pang. Sheused to be able to talk to him that way.
Maybe he should find a way to be happy for her. After all,she seemed happier now with Roan. And Clarke deserved to be happy. He wantedher to be so happy.
When the front door shut, he let out a breath. He survivedseeing Clarke tonight, barely. The panging in his chest probably wouldn’t goaway any time soon, though he wasn’t sure if it ever left.
He was coming up with excuses to leave the party too whenRoan came into the kitchen. “What’s wrong with you?” Roan snorted.
“Nothing,” Bellamy lied.
“So, it has nothing to do with the fact that you saw me withyour ex?” he asked, raising his eyebrows as he filled a cup with ice.
“Clarke can date whoever she wants,” he replied.
“I’m not dating Clarke,” Roan corrected, and Bellamy hatedhow easy his own face gave his reaction away. Roan smirked at him, pleased thathe had finally broken Bellamy out of his fake indifference. “I don’t make ahabit of dating girls who are still in love with their exes.”
“Clarke isn’t—”
“She is,” he interrupted. “It’s annoying, honestly. Fulloffense intended, you were a dick to her in the end.”
“I know,” he huffed, throwing his head back. He didn’t needthis lecture from Roan when he had been giving it to himself all night. “It’show I know she isn’t still hung up on me.”
“Interesting,” Roan muttered as he walked back toward thedoor, “then, why is she still in the parking lot, crying in her car?” Bellamy’shead snapped up to look at Roan, whose eyebrows were raised at him as he lookedover his shoulder. “Don’t fuck it up this time,” he huffed before walking backout to the party. Bellamy jumped to his feet, abandoning his beer on thecountertop before striding toward the front door. He didn’t bother tellinganyone where he went. Everyone was too drunk to notice he was gone, anyway.
When he got down to the parking lot, he found Clarke’s carin the very back. He jogged toward her car, and as he got closer, he could seeher talking on the phone as she wiped a few tears from her cheek. He felt sickat the realization that he was the reason she was crying. He never wanted tohurt her. After all, he loved her… probably a little too much. He was justscared.
Clarke’s eyes widened when she spotted him, and she said goodbyeto whoever she had been talking to. He stood still as she pushed herself out ofthe car, her brows furrowing in confusion as she looked up at him again. “Whatare you—”
“I miss you,” he interrupted, and her eyes softened. “I’msorry. I know I don’t get to just… Fuck,” he mumbled. He hadn’t thought throughwhat he would say to her at all. He hadn’t been thinking when he rushed downafter her. All he heard was that she was upset because of him, and he couldn’t stayaway.
“I miss you too,” she said before he could stutter anythingelse out. Her blue eyes were staring back at him, still a bit red from crying. All he wanted to do was close the distance between them and pull her to hischest.
“Can we talk?” he asked, and she bit down on her lip. Herchest was rising and falling slowly as she took a few deep breaths.
It felt like hours had passed before she whispered, “Yeah.”
A flicker of hope scorched through him as the two of them satdown on the curb. He was going to tell her everything that he didn’t saybefore. He was going to make it right. And maybe, just maybe, she’d let him tryto make her happy again.
