So my birthday is on April Fools, (how deserving 🤪) and I decided to be self indulgent again and write something! These are short and reader is gender neutral!

WARNING: Lesson 16 spoilers in Beel and Belphie’s part (nothing too heavy but read their sections at your own risks)

The Brothers Celebrating your Birthday!

Lucifer

Expect the most grandest/high class celebration you’ve ever seen MC!

As much as he’s not a morning demon, he’s got a noticeable pep in his step this morning because it’s your special day

Expect him to be one of the first people to text you at midnight because he’s still up doing paperwork

But don’t worry, he won’t be doing any work when it’s time to celebrate

Little messages throughout the day, hinting at something big to come along with small gifts (atleast to him) such as: new outfits, lunch at Ristorante Six with him, basically stuff that he pleases you both and that he would love to see you in (not that he would ever tell you)

Expect his gifts to be high quality too (ie. very expensive)

You expected a huge party, but you didn’t expect him to get so sentimental

After everything ended, you ended up in his room, with him just holding you in his lap, unconsciously caressing you with his mind deep in thought

The impact that you made on his brothers- the impact that you made just on him- it’s far bigger than you could imagine. And that scares him

He’s gotten so close to you that he forgot that you can’t stay here forever, both in the Devildom and mortality. What would he do when you have to leave his brothers? When you have to leave him? It makes his chest pang with pain every time the thought crosses his mind, but he refuses to let it ruin the moments he does get to spend with you

You’ll never know how grateful he is for deep down, and he never wants to lose you. Who would have thought that the mighty firstborn would fall so deep for a mere human?

Mammon

ITS PARTY TIME

Get ready to have the best birthday ever with no one other than the Great Mammon!

Tries to be the first one to tell you, fell asleep and immediately felt bad

Celebrates your birthday like a national holiday but is still somehow tsundere about it. He’s only being like this because you don’t know how to party, and he doesn’t want to hear you complain later, got it?!

Has his crows bring you small gifts leading up to the big party. Bracelets, candy, mini love letters that he swore that he threw away...

Definitely snuck off during your party, because he wanted to hand you his gift personally (and he didn’t want to hear his brothers say anything about it). Prays (how ironic) that you don’t hate it, tears up when you say that you love it

Definitely got some kisses as thanks and can expect some more later

He just really appreciates and loves you okay? You’re important to him, and today’s the day that you were brought into the world, the reason that he’s able to look forward to something everyday. You’ve made a change in everyone’s lives, even that grouch Lucifer, and he has to say thanks somehow

Plus, you’re important to him- so he does see this as a special day regardless of what comes out of his mouth. He still gets embarrassed about being emotional, but he makes sure that you know that he loves you

It’s just another day normie, nothing special...

Hey quit trying to figure out what he’s hiding behind his back! He doesn’t have anything okay?! It’s nothing! And ignore that he called you, he just butt dialed you and didn’t expect you to answer! And he just decided to say happy birthday because everyone else was, not because he actually cares!

He is so stumped on how he’s going to celebrate your birthday, he hasn’t stressed about something non-otaku like this in decades. He’s so anxious that he’ll ruin your big day. What if he gets you something and you hate it and then hate him?!!

This day is making him more nervous than it should, but he can’t help it! You’re his best friend, a person that he can confidently say that he’s fortunate enough to know and that he loves-

OKAY he can’t exactly say it out loud yet without turning 50 shades of red, but he really does. He just needs a way to show it

Believe it or not, he was too excited to wait to tell you his gift after the party, so he told you after he said happy birthday. Free range to his manga collection??? What could be better than that?! The perfect gift if you asked him

Plus he rather you be holed up with him in his room than being anywhere else. That’s how it should be: just his Henry, his anime/manga/game collection, and Henry 2.0

It’s the least that he can do for how much you’ve been there for him, and even though he still has a hard time saying how he really feels, he hopes that this atleast gives you a glimpse into his true feelings

Ugh this feels like he’s a love interest in an otome game or something...

Satan

Honestly is the chillest of them all

Don’t get me wrong he’s super excited like everyone else, but he has a very detailed itinerary that you both need to follow for today, starting with breakfast.

Get down here before Beel eats your breakfast!

He made it with all of your favorite activities and places, along with things that he just knew you’ll love (and him too, but seeing you smiling is more than enough to make him content). He put a lot of effort into this whole day, especially with your gift

He put thought into it (no surprise there), he didn’t want to give you just anything and he has to one-up Lucifer and he needed to give you something to show you how much of a change you’ve been in his life. How much you influenced him to make better choices when it comes to channeling his anger and rage

He got you a magic photo album last year, and the way that you reacted to that (which was obviously positive), the pressure is on this year to impress you even more

Which he ended up doing! But he won’t lie, he was just a tad bit nervous in disappointing you, but everything worked out well, so you didn’t need to know!

Although, he did feel a bit shy in handing you his gift, he felt relieved in seeing you accept it so quickly

Also invited you to read any of his books, and even offered to teach you some spells, both safe and simple enough to where it won’t cause any real damage to anyone. Might teach you a spell to spite Lucifer to make the LYS club proud

You don’t know how much you mean to his brothers, how much you mean to him. You’ve made a bigger impact that you think, and while he knows that nothing he does will ever show you how eternally thankful he is for your presence, he at least wants to show you a sliver of his appreciation. What better way than the day you came into the world?

Also expect him to try and fluster you the whole day. You’re too cute for him to leave you alone, and your reactions are better than that brand new cat cafe

Actually he might have to test that theory, and the only way to do that is if you both visit the cafe. Either way he’s not complaining! Cats and you? A match to die for

Asmodeus

You’re the only reason he’ll interrupt his beauty sleep

Wants bragging rights to say that he told you happy birthday first

Today is a big day after all! It’s the day that you came into the world, and that you’re able to even be down here with him- I mean them!

Will be your designated fashion designer. All your outfits already have to not only be on point, but they have to be iconic. No exceptions! Doesn’t matter if you’re just going to Purgatory Hall, you’re going there in style!

Gifts are in style too! He got you stuff that you would absolutely fall in love with. He’s not that self centered, give him some credit MC!

After the big celebration with everyone, of course you’re going out to The Fall! He has to show you off of course, it would be a crime if he didn’t

But once everything is over and you guys are home, he takes his time in doing his nightly routine on you both. Honestly just basking in your glow and just enjoying you. No sharing, no interruptions, just you and him

He catches himself thinking that there’s no way he can love someone more than he can love himself, it’s impossible, it has to be

But he loves you so much that he’s starting to doubt that theory

But would that really be a problem?

Beelzebub

He’s so excited! And he takes today VERY seriously

He’s gonna make sure you eat SO GOOD today that Lord Diavolo would be jealous

As soon as you get up you guys are hitting every restaurant and I mean EVERY

You’re getting the best of the best because you deserve the best

And as a gift he got you so much food that you’ll probably have enough to last you both for the rest of the year...if he doesn’t eat it all

He knows that food is his thing, but he got you so much because he knows that it makes him happy, and he wants you to feel the same way. It makes him feel all warm inside, and when you’re with him it’s like he’s eating all of his favorites at once, but even better

And you guys eating food together?? It makes him feel like he’s back in the Celestial Realm again

But I feel like with Beel, another way he shows love is through acts of service and quality time. For him, even if you guys are doing absolutely nothing, he’s 100% in bliss

So his gift to you was in the way of snacks to share and having him at your mercy (not that you would ever take advantage of him like that). Also promising to take you wherever you want, it’s your day!

You see past his sin, and enjoy Beel for Beel. You don’t just see him as Gluttony, you helped bring his twin back to him, you even sleep and listen to him after his nightmares of Lilith. It’s only right to show gratitude for all that you’ve done on your birthday

And all of his brothers love you, especially him. You’re basically family at this point, and no takebacks either

Just don’t leave him MC, you’ve became a big part of his life now, and he honestly would be very sad without you

Belphegor

There’s no way that this sleepy king can stay up until midnight so you’ll get your happy birthday when he sees you in the morning (if he’s up)

No but fr in the game he DOES NOT CALL YOU OR EVEN TEXT!!! LIKE I STAYED UP THINKING HE FELL ASLEEP AND HE JUST STRAIGHT UP- okay sorry back to the headcannons 😭

He’s very optimistic on the inside trust me, he just doesn’t show it very well on the outside, but he’s trying!

He can’t help it that he’s sleepy but...you put some energy back into him, and he is ecstatic about celebrating with you, he just has a hard time showing it

His brothers were a little peeved about his nonchalant attitude AND not getting you a gift, but Beel already knows what his twin is doing, he just didn’t want anyone else to know because he wanted everything to be perfect

After the party, he snuck you away to the planetarium, which is designated as your sacred spot. This was nothing new, but you still laid in awe cuddled with Belphie looking up at the sky

But tonight was different, as the stars up above spelled out...your name? And did that star basically let out miniature fireworks? And are those stars over there shaped as a cow and mooing?

Seeing your eyes light up meant that it was worth it to skip out on some of his naps to talk to Solomon and practice out some new spells (but you won’t ever know that)

Belphie really cares about you. Really cares about you. No matter how much he may be sarcastic or act like things aren’t a big deal, they are to him, especially when it comes to you. After the ill-fated events in the attic, he would have not been surprised if you hated him and want nothing to do with him ever again; it was his fault after all, he couldn’t be upset with you. But you were willing to forgive him, and start over

MC, you will never know how much indebted he is to you. You’re the reason that he’s out of the attic and reconnected with his twins again, the reason that he’s apart of the family and not separated. Yes, he still has some issues that he may need to work on for himself, but he’s able to take the right step because of you

He doesn’t really have a choice in celebrating your birthday (at least to him but he’s gonna celebrate either way), because without you, he doesn’t know where he would end up at, he would be lost. He owes you enough to see you safe and happy, and he swears that he will keep you that way. A happy and safe MC means a satisfied Belphie

And having you curled up in his side, going on about the show he planned, has him feeling very light, and he can’t help but wonder if this is how his sister felt

If it is, he can’t help but start to see everything a little clearer now

The Scars - (Sculptor Neil x Muse Andrew AU)

Three years ago Neil (a reclusive but renown sculptor) met Andrew (a nobody going nowhere).

Andrew had found Neil's cat, hiding under his car. Neil took a liking to Andrew.

Andrew could see Neil was full of secrets, but the snark and the intrigue kept him coming back.

But a pestering journalist from Galatea magazine (ie. the plucky bitch that is Allison Reynolds) managed to track down Neil (known mostly as N) and from surveilling them, deduce that Andrew is N’s latest muse for his upcoming show.

Andrew, who knew nothing of Neil's work, feels used.

He feels used and shattered and like the tentative *something* he thought he was forming with Neil was all a lie, all for some stupid rocks turned into stupider shapes.

He packs up his life, as he has over a dozen times before, and disappears.

No goodbyes. No explanations.

He doesn't need more lies from Neil Josten.

N's much anticipated show never happens.

In a single, rare interview, he announces his retirement from the art world.

It's cost him too much, he says.

Andrew feels a thrill in his chest; it's all spite.

Three years go by.

Andrew is living in New York, working in an auction house.

He only took the job because of Renee, who needed someone to come in and help urgently.

He's on his second week when it's announced that they'll be auctioning off a private collection called "The Scars".

It's by N.

As an artist N has always been recognised for his subject matter, for confronting the worst of the human condition by pushing the boundaries of material and media. "The Scars" is a selection of his earliest pieces - they're grotesque, alien - and Andrew recognises the subject matter, the inspiration behind them.

There's the puckering iron brand from Neil's shoulder.

The pebble smooth bullet wound.

The lacerations over his stomach where a road tried to shred his skin.

A fractured monstrous child.

Andrew hates them. Hates their rawness. Hates their truth.

"Rumour is, he'll be here tonight," Renee tells him as they prep the room.

Andrew raises an eyebrow.

"N," Renee explains. "No one knows who he is, of course, but apparently he's been trying to buy back his work. Allison's column speculated that he'd be here for the show."

"So a whole lot of fans are going to turn up?"

"Sorry to make your life difficult." Andrew shrugs. She's thinking of the extra work he'll have on the door. He never told her about the months spent with Neil, the summer nights, the autumn walks, the winter his heart froze over.

The crowd arrives.

Allison is amongst them: eyes sharp, heels sharper.

Matt Boyd comes next with Dan Wilds, known for her strategy on bids.

Kevin Day stalks through, ear piece in, determination setting his jaw.

Andrew does not see N.

Andrew's not looking for him, by the way, of course not.

Andrew wants nothing to do with N. Nothing to do with his scars or his smiles, his secrets or his promises.

He's not scanning the crowd, looking for a shock of red hair. He's not hyperaware of every flash of blue.

And that's when the bidding starts. The first sculpture is "Mother's Ruin". On one-side it's bullet-smooth, a puckered dot; on the other a female shape pulls through, raging, screaming, mouth deadlier than the wound.

Kevin starts the bid. Dan follows. Back and forth they go.

When Kevin taps out, eyes hard as the stone from which the sculpture is cut, Dan releases a vicious and victorious smile.

Which is when a new bidder enters the arena. Dark hair. Dark scarf. Dark cane across his knees. A familiar set to his shoulders.

But no. It isn't N. It can’t be.

But it isn't Neil either.

Or if it is, it's like seeing someone else's e-fit of him. All wrong. Something real is missing. This man is brittle, lean as a clip-point. His wrists are all bone.

N doesn't flinch when the hammer falls and the final price is put on his own work. He is eerily still. Andrew thinks about a time when any loud noise would have made Neil startle with excitement, a new sensation, something to explore. When he was the most animated person in any room - all energy, all life.

The same thing happens on the next piece. And the next. Kevin and Dan are furious. Allison is watching Neil with the same deadly look in her expression that Andrew remembers from when she appeared at his front door all those years ago.

Andrew doesn't understand.

(And he doesn't want to. He's not interested. He doesn't care.)

But as the auction ends and Neil is in possession of all of his art once more, as Allison stalks towards the man they both know to be N, Andrew finally sees his face. Gaunt and blank, bruises under his eyes.

Neil looks like one of "The Scars" - a ruined version of himself, sunken and shrunken and beaten down.

Andrew is moving before he can think about it. Moving to block Allison's path, to stop her from reaching a man that is so clearly sick and strange and unlike himself.

Seeing Andrew coming, Allison stops. She knows the warning set of his jaw, it's the same expression he wore when he threw her off his doorstep. She stops, but she grins. He can almost see the ideas spinning inside her skull. Muse and artist reunited once more? Was this a story?

When he turns, Neil is gone.

Fortunately, Andrew knows he has to be around. There's paperwork to be done, after all. So he goes outside. There's a familiar black sports-car parked there. Andrew leans against it and waits. And waits.

"Are you really going to smoke that entire pack waiting for me?"

Andrew exhales smoke through his nose.

Even Neil's voice is ragged, rough with disuse. He tells himself it doesn't matter.

"What do you want, Andrew?"

"You upset a lot of people here tonight," Andrew says.

"What do you want, Andrew?"

"Interesting move, buying up your own art. Are you trying to create a scarcity effect? Trying to inflate the price?"

Neil asks a third time: "What do you want, Andrew?"

Andrew fixes a look on Neil, he really does look dreadful.

What's with the contact lenses? He wants to ask. What's with the hair? Why are you so thin? What happened? Are you sick? Are you dying?

"I'm not coming to your funeral," he says.

"What?"

"Whatever's wrong with you, I won't be there."

Neil shakes his head. "I'm not dying."

Lie. Lie. Lie.

Andrew didn't realise he'd be able to hear dishonesty in Neil's voice as easily as he ever had.

"Don't lie to a liar, Neil. Didn't you tell me that?"

"Ha." Neil leans heavily on his cane, sees Andrew's scepticism. Insists: "I'm not."

"I'm taking a turn," Andrew says, sees the pain lancing over Neil's features when he hears it. It looks an awful lot like grief.

Neil still nods.

"Why are you buying back your art?"

Neil's face twists: mouth tipping down, eyes squeezing shut. "I'm destroying it. All of it."

The cigarette nearly drops from Andrew's lips. He catches it in time, rolls it between the tips of his fingers. "Why?"

"It's not your turn."

"Then take yours."

Neil looks at him. Andrew wishes his eyes weren't muddy brown, that he could see the man he knew, not this underworld shade.

"No," Neil says. "I've taken quite enough from you."

It's cryptic. It's nonsense. It's infuriating.

"Fuck you," Andrew says. "Why are you destroying The Scars?"

"Get off my car, Andrew."

But Andrew knows about self-destructiveness. He's not stupid. He knows that look.

And he might not care about art, or sculpture. He might hate Neil for the lies he omitted day after day. He might loathe Neil for giving him colours only to take them away. But Neil was on the right side of hope last time he saw him. He doesn’t like this grey-washed half-man.

"Tell me," Andrew says. It's almost a growl. "Tell me why you're doing this."

Neil sighs. "Not here. Get in the car. My place is nearby."

Andrew never wanted to be in close proximity to Neil again but he wants to know what's going on more than he can pretend he doesn't care.

So they get in the car and they drive and they come to Neil's apartment, a classic loft in a red brick block. It's huge, shabby and unloved, everything a little tatty at the edges.

Like Neil, Andrew's brain supplies. Never taking care of himself, heart so big it felt empty.

Neil makes coffee. It's just how Andrew likes it, from the sugar and cream right down to his favourite mug.

He frowns. "You kept this."

"I shouldn't have, I'm sorry."

The apology makes Andrew bristle.

Andrew asks for the truth again. Why is Neil destroying "The Scars"?

"Not just them. All of them. All of it." And Neil begins to talk.

It starts the day Andrew found his cat, when he turned up on Neil's door, soaked to the bone with King tucked into the front of his coat.

"I never told you why she was out there, did I? I threw her out. I was in way. Panicking. Freaking out. I thought nothing was safe."

Neil talked about meeting Andrew. How he felt immediately drawn to him, like to like. He talks about the mornings when he woke up and the brightest thing in the day was the promise of Andrew's presence. He describes how those bright moments translated into his work.

"Hope."

He doesn't linger on the soft moments, though Andrew's brain supplies them: iced coffee on the park swings, warm smiles, red hair against his shoulder, lying his head in Neil's lap, sharing smoke, swapping truths.

"Hope," Neil says like the word is a fragile thing. "Crept into everything I made. It made the edges softer, made jagged pieces slide together, drew colours out of grey stone."

And he started making new things too - mixing gold and marble, hard with soft.

"I thought I was inspired by kintsugi - the idea of repairing broken things in a way that revitalises them. New life."

And then Allison came. And she spoke to Andrew. And then she spoke to Neil.

"She told me what you said, Andrew. She told me how very sick I am."

Andrew frowns. "What did she say I said?"

"That I hurt you. That I used you. That what I did was like rape." Neil's words are biting and blunted and all together mirthless. "I was taking from you without permission. That I'm just like him, like my father."

Andrew is silent.

"I hadn't even thought about it. I know I should have. The work was just so separate to us - I didn't see how I was using you. How I was abusing you. But of course it wasn't kintsugi - it was you. Everything. The gold. The marble. The edges. The way they fit."

"And the way I felt." Neil's breath is a rattle. He really is too thin. "The way I felt about you was also everything."

"Was?"

"Is," Neil corrects, reluctantly. "And I know that's wrong. That it makes you uncomfortable. And I get it. I do. It made me realise how my art is monstrous."

"I wasn't cutting anyone open. I wasn’t physically hurting anyone. But I was destroying people. Flaying them alive. Slicing them open. Revealing their secrets. Wasn't I? The Scars. The Butcher. White Bones, Black Sand. Every collection. Every act of brutalism. Exacted over and over with every witness."

The silence that falls is oppressive. It's the sky before a storm. The water closing over your head when you can't swim.

Andrew knows he has to say something.

Andrew knows what he has to say.

"Allison got it wrong, Neil. She got it wrong for both of us."

Because Andrew was never angry about being a muse.

No, when Andrew found out who Neil was, he felt cold.

And when Allison asked him for comment on what it was like to be 'the latest', he felt numb. Like none of it was real.

Whatever they had was meant to be nothing. But finding out that it really was nothing - the coffee and the conversation, the confidences and shared quiet - all of it meaningless... That bottomed him out, sent him plunging straight down into the cold, dark places in his brain. That was why he was mad. That was why he left.

Was it all real after all?

"You hurt me." Andrew can't deny that. He'd been prepared to never let anyone or anything else in ever again. Because Neil isn’t something he could ever take back or recover from. Neil was a chance he shouldn't have taken. "But I'd do it all again."

There is a moment when Neil's brain hasn't quite caught up - where he looks like he might be torn between running & crying & breaking apart. There is so much damage to undo here. Years they need to discuss. Issues Neil probably hasn't spoken to anyone about, recluse that he is.

Andrew makes the first move - placing his mug on the table, moving to stand in front of Neil. He places two fingers under Neil's chin, tilting his face upwards.

"You are Neil Josten, and right now you are sick, but not because you're your father. You haven't abused anyone. You never abused me."

"Andrew..."

"Don't. Argue. About. This." Andrew says. "I know you like to run your mouth and catastrophise - but tonight you're just Neil, and I'm just the man who found your fucking cat. And you're going to take out those hideous lenses and get some sleep."

When Neil doesn't move, Andrew lifts him out of his seat.

When Neil stumbles without his cane, Andrew helps take his weight.

When Neil asks Andrew to stay, Andrew borrows a t-shirt that's just a tiny bit too snug and curls up on the other side of the bed.

When Andrew takes Neil's hand, they're missing the callouses he remembers.

When Andrew brushes Neil's knuckles with his lips, they both almost stop breathing.

Before Andrew falls asleep, he thinks maybe, just maybe, that if he asked for a kiss -a real one- Neil would say yes.

“Guards,” Jungkook yelled, “Secure the castle, and take Y/N and Jihan to our chambers. I want everyone questioned, and nobody leaves the castle.”

You stand up, “My ladies come too.”

Jihyo, Chaeyoung and Nayeon stand next to Dahyun, who look to you for their next instructions.

You give Dahyun Jihan, and walk to the front, “Jungkook what happened?”

He grabbed to side of your arms, “I’ll explain later, but right now, more than anything, you need to leave this room.” He kissed your forehead, holding you tight.

“Promise you’ll tell me what happened,” You say, “You can’t just tell me to leave a ball, having everyone threatened for questioning, and closing the castle doors?”

Jungkook cupped your face, “I-It’s, a death threat has been made against Jihan.”

You face dropped, “Our Jihan? Our son? I’ll kill him-“

“No you won’t,” Jungkook said, “This will be handled quietly, and quickly.”

You take a deep breath, kissing him quickly, “I’ll go.”

“Thank you.”

You quickly walked back to your throne, and picked up Jihan, rubbing his back, “Let’s go.”

To say you were mad was understatement.

“Someone threatened my son,” You said, tears rolling down your cheek as you sat with Jihan in your lap, “There was a head in the box, and said it Jihan was next.”

“A head?” Nayeon asked, checking your temperature, “You’re a bit hot, maybe you should lie down?”

You lied down, Jihan lying on your stomach. You trailed your hand down his back, his head lying perfectly on your chest, “I just don’t understand, what has he ever done to anyone? He’s a baby!”

Your ladies looked to you in sympathy, sitting down on the bed. “Jungkook will find out who did it,” Jihyo said, “He always does.”

“That’s not enough,” You say, sighing loudly, “I want to be involved. I want to be the one that swings the axe.”

“You don’t mean-“

“If I can kill the person who’s done this, I will,” You say, trying to stop the tears falling, “It’s treason. Threatening a member of the inner royal family is punishable by death.”

“Yes but only by an executioner,” Jihyo said, “You could get in trouble.”

You shrugged, “I’m the Queen. I have a license to kill.”

“Jungkook does,” Chaeyoung says, “Not you. But if done discreetly-“

“Y/N, talking about it isn’t a good idea.”

“Then let’s talk about something else,” You say, “The coronation, how was it from your perspective?”

Dahyun smiled, “Jihan did very well, not a sound from him, except for whining for you.”

You kissed the top of his head, “He’s an eomma’s boy. Always has been, always will be.” His tiny hands touched your cheek, patting it lightly a few times. You found it amusing, how he always needed to be touching you, much like his father.

“You looked beautiful,” Jihyo said, “The dress complimented you perfectly.”

You look down, realizing you were still wearing it, “I ought to get changed. Jihan will fall asleep on me soon, and I don’t fancy sleeping in this dress.”

You were helped out of your dress, Naeyeon taking Jihan to check up on him. She handed him back to you, as you lied back down, placing Jihan back on your chest.

“I miss your Appa,” You say, pouting, “Jihan-ie, when will he come back?”

Jihan giggled tiredly, clinging onto you tighter, “Eomma…”

“Someone needs to go to sleep,” You say, “He won’t sleep unless he’s seen both of us. He’s basically a copy of his father.”

The girls laughed, smiling as you made funny faces to amuse Jihan. He yawned, rubbing his eyes, before looking around the room, realizing that Jungkook wasn’t there.

His bottom lip began to quiver, and tears filled his eyes, “APPA!”

“Jihan-ie,” You cooed, “Don’t cry my darling, Appa will be here soon, and he’ll give you lots of cuddles to make up for not being here.”

You sat up, bringing your knees halfway to your chest, holding him to your chest. You could feel his tears sinking through your bed gown, as his choked sobs continue.

“Jihan-ie,” You said in a sing-song voice, “Eomma loves you, Appa loves you, and will be here soon.” You turn to Jihyo, with pleading eyes, “Can you please find out when he will be back?”

“When who will be back?”

“Appa?” Jihan said once he heard his father’s voice. You sighed in relief, “Girls, thank you, you can go. Jungkook, please take him.”

Your eyes meet Jungkook’s, and you can tell he was exhausted. You place Jihan in his crib, and wrap your arms around Jungkook’s waist. His chest jolts, as tears fall down his cheeks.

You unbutton his coat, taking it off and placing it on one of the small tables scattered across the room. He took off his shirt and pants, and you handed him his bed-wear. Once he had changed, he picked Jihan up, who was still crying, and lied down with him. You follow after, your eyes never leaving Jungkook’s.

“Jihan-ie,” Jungkook said, rocking him back and forth, “No one will ever hurt you, no matter how many letters, or heads they send me. Your Appa will fight any and everyone who threatens you and your Eomma. The person that has done this, will die.”

Jihan was back to normal, almost asleep, “Appa…”

Jungkook kissed your cheek, standing up and placing Jihan in his crib. He stroked his cheek, before hopping back in bed with you.

He pulled you towards him, bringing you into his lap, “I have to confess, the letter I got the other day, wasn’t a threat to me. It was the first of three letters, all threats against you and Jihan. This person knows that without you and Jihan, I am nothing.”

You looked to Jungkook with sad eyes, trailing your fingers across his jaw, “Why didn’t you tell me?”

He smiled sorrowfully, “I didn’t want you to freak out about the coronation, and the ball. You would have never gone through with it if you had known.”

You kissed him, slowly but surely, “Is that why there was more security?”

“Yes,” He says, “One letter said that he would attack at the coronation. I considered cancelling it, but then everyone would panic and it would be a disaster.”

“I’m sorry you had to hide it for so long,” You say, “But thank you, for keeping my mind at ease.”

He kissed you again, holding you close to him. When you pulled away, he rested his head against yours, “I almost lost you once, I can’t go through that again. I thought my life was over.”

“I love you, so much,” You say, connecting your lips again, “I will never leave you, not even Min Yoongi stood a chance against us.”

Jungkook nods slowly, before cupping your face and kissing you again.

The Privy Council meeting was intense. You wanted to leave Jihan with your ladies, but Jungkook had insisted that the two of you never leave his sight. You were sitting by his side, as he held Jihan, talking about the new security detail he wanted set in place.

You stayed silent, Jungkook’s hand in your lap, as you drew random shapes on it. He was scared, scared to lose you again, but not just you this time. For if the two of you were to lose your innocent, precious child, you would both be broken.

“Anyone unimportant will be forced to leave the castle,” Jungkook says, his Councilmen nodding in agreement, “You will all stay here, but your families should leave. We will also be cancelling any balls and events. I won’t have my families lives compromised.”

“Of course not, your majesty,” Yixing says, “All the staff and guards are being questioned currently.”

“Good,” Jungkook said, “Guards are coming from Park. They will be taking over the castle guard positions, whilst our guards patrol the kingdom.”

“Park guards? What use are they?”

Jungkook raised his eyebrows, looking down at Jihan, “Keep in mind that my wife and son are both part of the Park lineage. My son is currently third in line to the Park Crown, but we have no intention of putting him there.”

“My apologies-“

“The Park guards are familiar with the Royal Family, but not the Kingdom. Our guards know the Kingdom, and our people would be more at ease seeing their own guards protecting them.”

“Yes, your Majesty.”

You lean over to Jungkook, whispering in his ear, “What about the council handling the minor things from now on.”

Jungkook tucked a piece your hair behind your ear, “Yes. My Queen and I have decided that the council will work on the minor problems. We are only to be bothered if it is paperwork or a major issue.”

“Of course,” Lord Chanyeol said, “We would be happy to do it. The last group of members barely did anything, except drinking and whoring around.”

“Not in front of the baby,” You say, “He is slowly picking up words and if that is one them I willhave your head on a plate.”

Chanyeols eyes widened, “My apologies, your Majesty.”

You pout and turn to Jungkook, “Jungkook, how much longer do we have to be in this meeting for?”

“You’re starting to sound like a child,” He says, lightly placing two fingers under your chin, bringing your face closer to him, “Good thing you aren’t one.” He pressed his lips to yours, and you leaned into it, quickly breaking away when you realized you were still in the meeting.

You sunk back into your chair, glancing at Jungkook, before catching Jihan’s gaze on your ring. You smiled and handed the piece of jewelry to him. He giggled as he held it up to the light, captivated by the colours.

“Is that all?” Jungkook asks, standing up with Jihan in his arms. You follow him, brushing your hand through his hair, “Please send the paperwork to our rooms, it will be done promptly.”

Everyone stood up, bowing to you as you finally left the room, clinging onto Jungkook’s arm.

“Why didn’t you tell me the Park guards were coming?” You say, “I mean, it’s not that important but they’re my people and I would’ve liked to know.”

“I’m sorry love,” Jungkook says, “It slipped from my mind.”

“It doesn’t matter,” You say, taking your ring back from Jihan before he dropped it, “It will be nice for Jihan to see the other side of our family.”

“Maybe we should plan a trip to Park once all this is over,” Jungkook says, wrapping his arm around your waist, “And then to Jung. Jihan needs to know his family.”

“Our family will have four sovereigns one day,” You say, “Queen Sunmi of Park, King Ilyong of Kwon, King Chaeran of Jung, and King Jihan of Jeon.”

Jungkook smiled, “Our family has done well.”

“Extremely well,” you say, “Jihyun and Jina haven’t married yet. I mean, they are eight.”

Jungkook kissed your head, “I wouldn’t have minded marrying you when I was eight.”

You widened your eyes in alarm, “I would have been six!”

Jungkook’s smile dropped, “Please ignore that I said that.” You reached your bedroom, and you threw yourself on the bed, “You’re obviously tired.”

“I’m stressed,” You say, “If we didn’t have to have Jihan with us all the time, I would probably ask you to help me get rid of it.”

Jungkook placed Jihan on the bed next to you, “I would be more than willing-“

He pressed his lips to yours, hovering over you, before falling beside you, pulling you into a spooning position. Jihan sat up, happily swaying from side to side. He caught your eye, and flopped onto his tummy, dragging himself towards you. You reached out and caressed his cheek, and he grabbed onto your finger, bringing it to his mouth.

“I want the person that threatened him dead,” You whisper, sinking into Jungkook’s embrace.

Jungkook pressed a kiss to your shoulder, “They threatened you too, love. I want him dead just as much as you.”

“I don’t care about me, only Jihan,” You say, “If I died, I would be happy knowing you two are safe.”

Jungkook quickly cut you off, “Don’t say that!”

“Sorry.”

You stayed like that for a while longer, before standing up, “We need a plan, Jungkook. We’re not going to find this person with guards-“

“I am not letting you go out and find this person,” Jungkook said, standing up and taking your hands, “You’re the Queen, you’re Jihan’s mother. Most of all, you’re my wife. My soulmate. I can’t- I won’t live without you. This person wants you two dead. I’m not risking that.”

You look to the ground, leaning into Jungkook’s chest, “Okay.”

The door opened, and two guards entered, “Your paperwork, your Majesties.”

Jungkook groans, and you sit back on the bed next to Jihan, “Leave it on the desk.”

The guards leave as they do as they’re told. You place Jihan in his crib, as you and Jungkook sit at the desk.

“I’ll do half and you do half?”

“Yep.”

“Jihan-ie! Look what Eomma has!”

“Eomma?”

“I have letters from my brothers,” You say, handing him the envelopes, “One from Jongdae, one from Samuel, and one from Jimin!”

“Muel-ah?”

“Yes, Uncle Samuel,” You say, tickling his tummy, “Do you want to hear what they have to say?”

Jihan nodded his head, and you excitedly opened the one from Jongdae.

“My dearest sister, and baby Jihan. I have the most wonderful news! Mina has given birth to our first child! A beautiful baby girl, Park Seola,” You read out, “Jihan-ie, you have a new cousin! Seola is doing well, and Mina and I have never been happier. We will come and visit in a few months, so please wait for our arrival. Your Brother, Jongdae.”

Jihan clapped, giggling and taking the letter from you and pretending to read it, whilst you opened the next letter.

“My sister and nephew. Mother has finally allowed Somi and I to marry. We are very excited, and are having it in a few months. Maybe we could have a family reunion. I am very much looking forward to seeing Jihan again, it seems it has been so long since his christening. I hope you are well, Samuel.”

Jihan took the second letter, “Muel-ah!”

“Jihan, you’re so clever,” you say, taking the first letter back from him and opening the last letter. You hold up the last letter, “Jihan-ie, this is the royal stamp of Park. I am a Park, and so are you.”

“Park,” Jihan says, emphasis on the K. You brushed your hand through his hair, caressing his cheek.

“You’re so smart Jihan-ie,” you say, “Y/N. I am so sorry to hear about the problems in Jeon right now. I wish that there was a way I could help more. I promise you that Jihan will be safe in Park. We have lots of fun events planned right now for Sunmi, so he will be able to join in with those. Looking forward to see him soon, Jimin.”

Your eyes widened, and you picked Jihan up, quickly going to Jungkook in the throne room.

“Jeon Jungkook!”

Jungkook stood up, fear in his eyes, “Y-Y/N?”

You handed him Jimin’s letter, “You’re sending Jihan away?”

Jungkook gulped, “I was going to tell you-“

“Tell me what? That you made a decision about our son without me,” You say, your voice like venom, “He’s not going. I grew him, I carried him for nine months. I went through 21 hours of labor to have him. I still feed him from my breasts. You are not taking my son away from me.”

Jungkook looked defeated, “It’s for his safety. They won’t know that he’s gone, so if they come here, nothing can happen to him.”

“He’s safe with me!” You shout, Jihan starting to cry, “I’m his mother! I would die for him! Nothing will ever happen to him!” Your tears were falling at this point, and your legs gave way, falling to the ground, still able to keep Jihan from harm, “You can’t take him away from me!”

“Y/N...” He said, walking towards you, “Please, it’s for his safety-“

You placed Jihan in your lap, who was screaming and crying, scared by you crying, “If he goes I go.”

“Y/N!” Jungkook said, his voice firm, “Jihan is going to Park. If you go, they will find out, and you’ll both be dead.”

You cried out in defeat, holding Jihan close to you. Jungkook ran to you, pulling you close to him. He rocked you back and forth, kissing your hair, “He’ll be okay. It will be safer for him. We can fix this whilst making sure no one gets hurt. No one.”

“I’m hurt!” You cried, “M-my baby has to leave!”

“I promise, as soon as this is over, he can come back. Dahyun is going with him. I don’t want to do this either, but we have to.”

You clung to his shirt, Dahyun quickly taking Jihan from you. Your tears soaked his coat, his hands rubbing your back soothingly.

“When is he leaving?”

Jungkook froze, “Tonight. At midnight.”

You let out another choked sob, holding onto Jungkook with all your strength, your cries echoing through the castle.

Midnight had come. You were dressed in black, along with Jungkook, Jihan, and Dahyun. You held your son close to your chest, as you walked out of the castle to the awaiting carriage.

“You must show him our painting every day, and make sure he says our names,” You say, Dahyun listening intently, “Anything he wants, he gets. He’s the future King of Jeon, he must be treated like one. A-and if he cries, try to sing Jungkook’s song to him.”

Jungkook pulled you into his chest, kissing Jihan’s forehead, “I’m so sorry my son. We are doing this to protect you, but it hurts so much.”

Your tears started to fall again, as you tried to hold it in, not wanting to worry Jihan, “Jungkook, please let him stay. Everything will be fine-“

“Y/N,” Jungkook looked to you with pleading eyes, “We have to let him go.”

Dahyun curtsied, “I’ll let you say your goodbyes. I’ll write everyday Y/N, do not worry.”

You smiled weakly at Daehyun, “Yes, thank you. Please enjoy your time in Park.”

Dahyun got into the carriage, and you braced yourself to leave Jihan.

“My baby boy,” you whisper, rocking him lightly, “I love you so so much, more than I ever thought was possible. Eomma will be thinking of you every second. Please be a good boy for Dahyun, and Uncle Jimin. Grandma will be watching over you mostly, so be a good boy for her too. And don’t grow up too much, just stay little.”

You took off your ring, looping it on a golden chain, and placed it around Jihan, “Now you’ll have a piece of me wherever you go, my darling.”

Jungkook came closer to you, taking Jihan from you. He whispered something to him quietly, not loud enough to be heard.

When he had finished, he gave him to Dahyun, who was waiting in the carriage.

“Eomma loves you Jihan,” You say, as the door closes. The carriage starts to move, and you can feel your body give way, falling into Jungkook’s arms seconds away from hitting the ground.

“I-I’m so sorry,” Jungkook says, “But I can’t lose him, or you.”

He picks you up bridal style, and you cry into his shirt, feeling the material become soaking wet underneath your fingers.

He carried you back to your room, getting you changed and into bed. You lay there emotionless, not feeling Jungkook pull you onto his chest.

“I’m sorry,” he whispered, holding you tight, “We will see him again soon, I promise.”

You let out a shaky breath, “Find whoever is doing this, and kill them.”

Chapter 4: hide and depression

"Shit/crap, they're here!"Byakuran and Kyota thought. As Uri felt tsuna shivered, he looked up and saw tsuna covered in fear. He, then started getting worried.

"Kyota-Chan what are we going to do?! What if they saw him?!" byakuran murmured as he pin pointed at tsuna.

While byakuran was freaking out, Kyota was thinking for a second, and then suddenly she saw in the other side some big boxes with few small punctured holes in between two stores and then she got an Idea.

"Byakuran-san hold Uri for a while, I got an idea!" Kyota said while she grabbed Uri from tsuna. Then tsuna snapped out of it.

"I'm Sorry for the small and quick reunion, Uri-kun. But Gokudera-kun and yamamoto-nii are here to find you. So next time, I promise that you can see tsuna, again." Kyota told Uri and he agreed sadly. Kyota then gave Uri to byakuran and then grabbed Tsuna's hand.

"Kyota, what are you doing?" Tsuna confusedly asked, as he was being dragged by Kyota. Suddenly they stopped.

"Hiding you, of course", Kyota ordered, "now sit" while she pushed him to the hiding place. Kyota got one big box and covered tsuna.

"Just be quiet ok, so both of them won't hear you." Kyota warned him as she went back to byakuran and Uri.

"So Kyota, what are we going to do?" Byakuran said as he gave Uri to her.

"Just follow my lead" Kyota said as she looked at him and smirked.

"Tch, you know what, I have no time to argue with you. I have to find that stupid cat!" Gokudera said to Yamamoto as he was very pissed. Suddenly, they heard two familiar voices.

"Eh! Byakuran-san, what are you doing here!?" Gokudera and Yamamoto heard the voice and glanced to the right as they saw byakuran, Kyota and even Uri.

"huh?" byakuran gave a confusing look. Kyota gave him "just-follow-my-lead-or-else-I-will-give-you-to-uncle-Reborn-if-this-plan-is-ruined"staring look.

"Oh hello, Kyota-Chan and Gokudera's storm cat, I'm just strolling around Italy and buying some marshmallow." Byakuran pretended to smile as he decided to play along.

"Strolling around in the city, shouldn't you be..." As Kyota was about to finish,they both heard Gokudera and Yamamoto calling out, "Uri!" Byakuran and Kyota saw coming their way.

"Hey Byakuran and Kyota!" Yamamoto shouted as he followed a pissed Gokudera. Kyota and byakuran looked at each other and nodded.

"Oh hey, Gokudera, Yamamoto!" byakuran shouted back, pretending to smile at them.

"Here's Uri-kun, Gokudera-kun." Kyota said as she was giving Uri to Gokudera.

"So...this is where you are! Sorry if this stupid cat is bothering you again, Kyota." Gokudera apologized as he grabbed Uri in the neck fur.

"No, I don't mind at all. Uri-kun can tag along with me in patrolling the city. But you know Gokudera-kun, you can always call if Uri-kun is here with me whenever he is missing. You don't have to search too much." Kyota said as Gokudera, Yamamoto and byakuran stared at her.

"Wow Gokudera, She's right. You should call her instead of finding Uri all over the city" Yamamoto smiled and said to him.

"Oh shut up, sword freak! And you! You escape from me while going inside your box! And I was trying to look for you and I have no choice to look with that sword freak and..." as Gokudera was complaining, Uri rolled his eyes.

"Hey don't give me that look...Ouch HEY!" Uri scratched Gokudera's face as Yamamoto turned to byakuran.

"By the way byakuran, what are you doing here?" Yamamoto asked.

"Um, well..."

-Meanwhile with Tsuna -

Not so away from them. Tsuna was still inside the big box as he was spying at them through a punctured saw byakuran was talking to Yamamoto while Kyota was listening to the conversation and Gokudera trying to cease Uri from scratching his face.

"Its look like that Gokudera and Yamamoto haven't changed a bit." Tsuna thought as he made a small smile. for him, Gokudera was still hot-tempered as ever and Yamamoto was still happy go lucky guy. Then a second later, Tsuna suddenly stopped smiling and sighs then he looked away from the hole.

"It's been almost a year that haven't seen those two." Tsuna thought as hugged both knee and chinned sit on it.

Tsuna P.O.V

It's been only one year and 6 months that I'm staying here in Italy and still Kyota, reborn or dino would hide me from them. The only time that I can hide and spy on any of them is if they are all outside. We couldn't even see each other face to face.

Every time that I see one of them including I-pin, Futa, bianchi, I'll always be thinking about what they are doing without me now that they are with Federico-san. I really miss all of them, I miss one of their birthdays. I miss spending the holidays with them, I miss playing baseball and even miss having a family bonding with them. I really don't know if it's my fault for killing those men, two and half years ago.

Tsuna P.O.V end...

Tsuna buried his head against his knees as he felt tears were prickling down his cheeks. 2 minutes later, the box was removed and tsuna looked up to see who it was. When he looked up, he only saw byakuran and Kyota. And tsuna guessed that Uri went back home with Gokudera and Yamamoto. Kyota and Byakuran looked at Tsuna's eyes and it looked reddish from crying. They both started getting worried.

"Hey Tsuna-kun what's wrong?" Byakuran worriedly said as he kneels and touched both of Tsuna's cheeks.

"It's nothing, I just don't want to talk about It." Tsuna said as he removed byakuran hands from his cheeks. Tsuna stood up and walked away to the streets.

"Tsunayoshi-kun, wait!" Byakuran shouted as he was about to go to him but Kyota grabbed his hand. Byakuran glanced at Kyota swaying her head to him.

"Don't... tsunayoshi-nii is sometimes like this when he sees his family, so just let him be alone for a while." Kyota said.

"How do you even know that?" byakuran questionably asked.

"Well, looking after a 20 years old man for one year and a month, who haven't seen his family so long, all he needs is some time alone. I have also experience these type of things." Kyota sadly said as both of them were looking at tsuna walking alone. Kyota experienced was kind of different from Tsuna's.

She experienced not having her parents when she was 5 years old and kyoya was 15. Their parents both in died in a plane crash, so the people who looks after Kyota was kyoya and tetsuya. And that was before she became part of Tsuna's family.

As worried atmosphere were surrounding both of them, a phone call was heard. Kyota looked at byakuran as he picked up his phone from his pocket and answered it.

"Hey daisy-Chan, what is it?" Byakuran said as he forcibly smiled.

"Byakuran-Sama." Byakuran went suddenly paled when he heard a familiar eerie voice calling from the phone.

Kyota looked at a byakuran having conversation with his right hand man, kikyo. As Byakuran end the call, he sighs and turned to Kyota.

"Well I have to go, Kyota-Chan. kikyo-Chan called me and I have to go back to work. And also comfort tsunayoshi-kun for me!" byakuran shouted as waved goodbye to Kyota.

"Sure!" Kyota waved back and then ran to tsuna.

Meanwhile with byakuran

Byakuran is in the car as kikyo was driving him back to millefiore HQ. When he was there, kikyo scolded him that he's skipped his paperwork and told byakuran that he's going to continue doing it until it's all done (Too much for a person do it all). Then Kikyo started a conversation.

"By the way byakuran-sama, how is tsuna-san?" Byakuran said.

"Tsunayoshi-kun is fine as always but then he got depressed." Byakuran said as kikyo turned to him.

"Why what happened?" kikyo said as he turned to byakuran for a second then turned back to see the road.

"Me and Kyota-Chan hid tsunayoshi-kun inside a box when his ex storm and rain guardians were out looking for the storm cat"

"Did it work?" kikyo asked as byakuran nodded.

"Then why tsuna-san got suddenly depressed?"

"Well...tsunayoshi-kun saw...no spied on them talking to us through a punctured hole, I guess he just wants to see how they change." Byakuran said as he looked away

"You know, you can go to the past and kill his guardians except for chrome-san though." Kikyo suggested as byakuran swayed his head.

"IE, Tsunayoshi-kun and Uni-Chan wouldn't like it if I did that." Byakuran said, smiling as leans his head against the car window.

With Kyota

It was night in the Vongola mansion and everyone was asleep except for Kyota. She looked at the time and it was 1:30 in the morning. Kyota sighs as she tried to sleep but couldn't. So she got out of bed, get her glasses and went to the kitchen to make chamomile tea.

As Kyota finished making chamomile tea in the kitchen, she took a sip and looked at the night sky window. Kyota couldn't help but think about what happened yesterday, after Gokudera, Yamamoto and byakuran went back to their mafia business, Kyota went back to tsuna to cheer him up. Tsuna started to feel ok...just a little bit.

"Why are you still awake?" Kyota turned around as she heard familiar voice behind her and it was reborn.

"U-Uncle reborn...since when did you get home" Kyota quietly whisper because she doesn't want to disturbed the others.

"Few minutes ago, I just found the kitchen light on and noticed your here. Why are you still awake?"

"I couldn't sleep, so I made chamomile tea." Reborn stared at Kyota as she was telling the truth but he could tell why.

"Did something happened to dame tsuna" reborn asked askyota widened her eyes then looked down on the floor.

Yesterday when Kyota went back to him, she noticed that tsuna was not in a mood to touch his food but Kyota tried to feed him but tsuna wasn't hungry. She would notice that he would be silent from time to time not like the other days. Kyota suggested for him to go back home and let him take a nap. Much for her days, yesterday was a challenge for her.

So anyway back to the story, Kyota looked up from the floor and told the whole story to reborn, the things that happened yesterday. About byakuran and Uri's visit, about hiding tsuna inside a box from his ex storm and rain guardians and spying on them through a small punctured hole and even telling him about tsuna getting all depressed

"I see... at least you did all your best, making dame-tsuna feel a little bit better. But don't you worry about dame tsuna, he'll be back to his old dame self again tomorrow. So why don't you get some sleep."

"I guess you're right but let me first finished drinking this tea" Kyota said as she continues to drink tea while reborn waited for her to finish so he could turn off the light from the kitchen. Few minutes later, Kyota was done and was about to leave, suddenly she stopped.

"Uncle reborn can I tell you something?" Kyota said.

"The thing I really wished for tsunayoshi-nii is that...I want to go back where things were before, where tsunayoshi-nii is all happy all the time with his friends and family all together with him.
