hi! sending an ask again because i really love your writing, but how do you feel about writing something happy with child! sephiroth? bittersweetness and time traveler aus are super welcome! :)
Hhhhhhhh I really want to do a wholesome time traveler AU oneshot for sure. Namely something that involves Cloud. I'm gonna add that to my list. Until then, here's a bit of fluff!
In which Cloud travels back to end Sephiroth's life prematurely but honestly just kinda ended up snatching him away from Shinra and taking care of him instead. Because child!Seph is cute.
"I'm not supposed to."
Cloud could handle being stuck here. He could reconcile himself with the fact that he technically hadn't even been born yet. But the words were the worst part, nagging, following them everywhere they went, every town, every other hour. A constant barrage of cringing, mewling dejection, not outright refusal, but an apology, an open declaration of shame directed towards whatever invisible demons tailed the child even this far away from the facility.
"I'm not supposed to."
Gods, what had they DONE to him? Cloud didn't know and he'd be lying if he said he didn't care. This was his icon, his childhood paragon of strength and courage. A shrinking, cowering creature that constantly clung to his arm, his large green eyes staring up into Cloud's face with both fear and open adoration.
"I'm not--" He'd begun for the sixth time that day as they entered the shop.
"Shut up. You gotta eat something. And the bakery's the only place that's open here. So don't whine about it."
Sephiroth had flinched, ducking his head and pressing closer to Cloud. "Yes, sir." Cloud hadn't remembered Sephiroth being terribly touchy, at least not in Nibelheim. Now, it seemed he needed constant contact, his little fingers clutching Cloud's hand like a lifeline.
The dark-brown slab was presented to the child with an unceremonious plop, Cloud dumping it into Sephiroth's small white palms and strolling casually ahead down the path. Sephiroth eyed the frosting-coated treat and balked, face scrunching, lips pursed.
"What is it?"
"Cake. It was on sale. Breakfast."
"Cake??"
"You know what that is, don't you? Try it. It's sweet."
The boy only stared, head tilted, his silver bangs bobbing. "I'm not suppos--"
Cloud had glared. Hard. And the child nearly rammed it into his face, his pale cheeks stained with chocolate, his green eyes glistening with sudden realization and wonder.
"Iffs gooffffth."
"Yeah. Figured."
The boy was licking his fingers, running up to Cloud's side. He held up the remains, that momentary guilt returning, his little shoulders lowering in supplication.
"Nope. Yours."
"Mine?"
"You think I want to eat that? You massacr--well, you made it all messy. Enjoy."
Sephiroth looked quizzical, nibbling hesitantly on the final pieces. Cloud sighed and moved forward, watching the trail of a hawk as copper wings blocked the orb of the sun overhead. It was going to be a long day. They had a long way to go to get to the mountains. Sephiroth took his hand again and Cloud glanced back down. The boy's face was filthy. He looked ridiculous. But there was a smile, yes. Just enough of a smile to matter.
"Ugh. Now my hands are sticky. Nice job."
Sephiroth laughed.
"...Brat," the blond muttered, trudging ahead.

I was watching Chapter 15: The Believer yesterday and something stood out to me that I guess I'd never really thought about before...
When the Juggernaut is getting attacked by the Pirates, we see several shots of Din struggling without his armour. It's a new way of fighting for him and he struggles to adapt at first.
He quickly rallies and skilfully fights them off, though. But more pirates soon appear and after fighting them off, Din is thrown backwards. He sees several pirates approaching.
Din lies down in defeat, powerless to fight them off without his armour or weapons. Knowing his death is likely imminent, without hope of survival.
Instead of giving up and accepting defeat, he does not allow himself to wallow in despair and mystery. After sighing deeply he steadies himself and gets right back up:
Facing down death as the pirates approach, he does not show weakness or fear.
He doesn't allow himself to be cowardly, or dwell on his likely impending doom and the fact he has failed in his quest to rescue the child he loves so much...
Instead, Din stands there with his fists up, outnumbered and without weapons, prepared to fight to the end even in the face of certain death...
Fortunately, of course, the TIE Fighters appear to save the day and Din succeeds in his quest to rescue Grogu and, well, you know the rest.
But I think this little moment in one of the best episodes is such a good insight into his character.
Standing up with his fists clenched like that, outnumbered and hopeless but refusing to accept defeat is perhaps one of the most Mandalorian things he's ever done. Yet only a few minutes later he removes his helmet and that act leaves him rendered an apostate in the eyes of his people. Told he is a Mandalorian no more, even.
It's kind of heartbreaking because he really did not deserve to be told that. Mandalorians are proud warriors, who never give up. Being a coward is the worst insult in Mando'a, their ancient language. Here, Din showed that he is nothing of the sort.
Din Djarin is as honourable a Mandalorian as they come.

Neil mentioned at the end of his stream today he'll be adding a new print to his Streamily soon, it is perhaps your liveaction Astarion drawing he was talking about? sorry if I'm mistaken
No, you're absolutely right! 😃 I was told to reach out to him about a week ago and was asked if he could have permission to use my "Neilstarion" drawing for his Streamily and for prints at cons for people who want to get something signed, but didn't bring anything themselves. To which I of course said yes!
Even though I had said it wasn't necessary to compensate me, Neil really insisted that he did, which is super sweet of him. But yes! You're right indeed 😊 I'm not sure if other prints will be added besides mine though, but I suppose we'll see. I'm very excited!

Pls help how do you draw eyess(or faces in general)💀💀 like what do you dooooo help my faces always look so weird and the same whenever I draww
Hi !
I'm learning with Proko classes but he has a Youtube channel with free cool lessons for beginners (perspective, shading, construction lines) he does have lessons for the head too I believe ! Of course, drawing your faves on the side, many times, helps.
It's very important to understand the basics first. I also do figure drawing too thanks to this website ➡️ https://line-of-action.com/
I also have the Michel Lauricella Morpho book that I have since I'm 21 (he also did one for the clothes, it's really nice)⬇️
When it comes to style unfortunately there's nothing more I can do, you make it, as you go 🎨🖌️I'm sure you have favourite movies, shows, books, artists, good strong influences that can help you craft it. The best way to get better at drawing is to have solid knowledge of your fundamentals. Understand how it works, why the bones are build that way and why they're called that way too ! (same thing for the muscles !) You can't draw something if that something doesn't have a name. Identify your weaknesses, keep pushing and working ! You'll see, it pays off ! ⬇️ (there's the Proko channel link down there)
Another very important advice would be to keep a sketchbook and fill it with doodles (no pencil !! only marker) we humans have this reflex of erasing our mistakes and then not learning ! Using a marker allows us to draw, fail, fail even more until we're on our knees crying, asking for mercy. But it's good, failure is good. Failure means you're learning, it's proof of your artistic journey. Like footprints. I understand fear can hold you back too but you can't do anything with nothing. You're not trying to reach for absolute perfection, that is not the purpose of this type of notebook, you can draw whatever you want!
(like this !! look at my THOND silly doodles ! no one can judge me this movie is a masterpiece)⬇️
I'll leave you with the 4 P's of life : Passion, Patience, Persistence, and Practice !
