someone on twitter mentioned how the daughter troy allegedly has in 8b could be an adoptive daughter and not a bio daughter and I lowkey can't stop thinking about it bc I feel like that would solve all the problems/hesitations I have about troy having a kid

in all honestly i'm having extremely mixed feelings about it. we're only really disappointed because flying bark's artistic quality is fucking off the charts, and so of course when they're forced to move on it would be hard to find anyone that comes even CLOSE to what they had brought to the show. so i'm a little crestfallen but not entirely at a loss for hope. the writers and the creative team are staying put and i'm confident the season is still gonna be peak. just. not with the same visuals.

i'm glad we're getting a new season at all though! and excited to see what wildbrain (the new animation team) brings to the table! i'd reckon it's just that we've just been spoiled with god-tier content to the point that when it's inevitably stripped from us we all start crying like babies sdkhfg. gonna miss flying bark so much but things gotta change and we just gotta ball man

ok so, recently i got really excited to research Nandor's traditional Al Qolnidar costume that i had suddenly remembered, out of nowhere, actually existed and was shown in s5, Hybrid Creatures, right??

(small tangent but im like all over the place, all this costume research shit only got started bc I was looking for what would be accurate for Guillermo to wear as a traditional guy-wife in a wedding with Nandor ok?? now im knee deep in several hundred years of different turbans, shoes, and helmets. i might even have to commit to an exploration of where Nandor would fit within the several different ethnic groups of Iran and their migrations. kill me.)

and anyways. im still sick as fuck and two?? three?? days of just looking at this motherfucker has gotten me nowhere. i have so many questions to ask abt it and i have next to 0 answers that aren't just that Nandor had a Sufi Mystic phase and this was his Rumi cosplay or we might need to seriously examine the possibility Nandor was/is Dervish (with a *gold* trimmed jacket lmao)

it was late, like really late. sensei larusso, chozen, and lawrence had made classes go way over then they were supposed to and then hawk and miguel just needed you to go grab something to eat with them.

you didn’t mind though, you loved spending time with those goofs, but they wore you out.

you joined the miyagi-do/eagle fang dojo with robby earlier in the summer. he had convinced you since you weren’t going to deal with silver’s bullshit. you didn’t miss cobra kai one bit, but there was someone you missed.

that person? was tory.

due to going to separate dojos, you had a falling out and it lead you to break up. it hit you hard, you wouldn’t talk to anyone do anything for days on end until robby checked up on you. you missed her a lot, and you hadn’t see her since miguel’s party where her and sam got into an argument. you tried to chase after her, but she had gotten away before you could.

you had just gotten out of the shower, putting on a clean pair of pajamas shorts and one of tory’s old t-shirts you never gave back. you wouldn’t dare give it back, it’s one of the only things you have left of hers.

walking into your room, drying your h/c hair with an extra towel, you let out a sigh. practice today was tiring, most had been recently. thank goodness your parent’s weren’t home for the weekend so you could have to whole house to yourself.

you almost didn’t hear the frantic knocking at your door, but you did. it made you jump a little, who in the world would be knocking at this hour?

you slowly crept downstairs, the knocking still going. “i’m coming, i’m coming,” you mumble to no one really.

making your way to the front door, you let out a slightly shaky breathe, reaching out to turn the knob and slowly open the door. you opened the door excessively slow, peaking out until you released who was standing in your doorway.

“tory…?” you muttered.

she looked up at you, slightly teary eyed. “hey.”

“tory! what are you- uh. what are you doing here?”

the blonde let’s out a sigh, looking around outside before looking back at you, “can i come in?” she asked.

“yeah, of course-,” you start, before noticing her knuckles, which she had been rubbing gently. “oh my god, what happened to your hand?”

“that’s what i came here for.”

“okay, uh… follow me.” you say, getting out of her way to let her in, shutting the door and leading her to the kitchen.

she sits at the counter, watching you grab an ice pack from the freezer and hand it to her. she rests it on her knuckles.

“so…,” you rock back and forth on your heels, “what’s up?”

tory let’s out a shaky breathe, “my whole life is a fucking lie.”

you quirk an eyebrow, “what.”

“everything is a lie. i’m living a lie. silver paid off the refs at the all-valley last year. cobra kai cheated so i could win against sam.”

“tory- slow down, i can’t keep up. silver paid off the refs?”

“yes! and it’s been eating me alive for months. i wanted to get back at him so bad. i’ve been visiting kreese in prison and all he’s been telling me is lies! i’ve been telling him everything for nothing! i feel like a fraud. my life is a living hell, i’ve lost all of my friends, and more importantly; you.”

you walk up to her and kneel in front of her, looking up at her. “hey, hey, hey, you haven’t lost me,” you say, “i’m not going away at all. we, miyagi-go and eagle fang, can help you. they went to stingray earlier. he basically admitted that silver assaulted him. he’s too afraid to go to the police.

“i knew silver was involved, i just didn’t think he did it with his own hands,” she said quietly.

“yeah, but we don’t have anything to prove it.”

“if it happened at the old dojo, maybe we can..”

“really? are you sure?”

“yeah, but can we not talk about this right now. i need a break for at least a night. can i stay here tonight? i don’t want to be alone.”

you nod, “of course, you don’t even have to ask. just tell me one thing; what happened to your hand?”

“they made me break pure stone, y/n, but i couldn’t. until they brought up our break up… then bam! instant break,” she said, voice breaking at the end of her sentence. “i regret breaking up with you so much. i miss you.”

your heart broke at the sight of her sounding so weak and broken. “hey, it’s okay. it’s okay. those people are sick. i miss you too, and maybe once we go through with out plan, we can try again okay? when we broke up i was broken, but i want us to try again, please.”

tory nodded, “yeah, i’d like that a lot. the worst thing about cobra kai was losing you and i refuse to let you go that easy.”

she placed a chaste kiss to your forehead before you giggled, standing up. “we’ve gotta keep this a secret for a bit, how romantic.”

“this is why i won’t let you get away too easy, juilet,” tory gave you a smile.

“come on, let’s go upstairs romeo. we’ve got quality cuddle time to make up for.”

- the first episode was so funny, i love unhinged alison and pat being unprankable

- omg baby cooper, omg potential ghost seeing baby. i cannot wait for the christmas special

- since the captain was the meditator in julian and pat’s north/south debate i am claiming for the midlands. one of us one of us

- also i am shocked that pat and julian have not had this argument before, tory hating pat is real to me

- kitty thinking she’s pregnant when she’s really just displaying signs of neurodivergence, i love you babygirl

- also robin fucking his way through generations of ghosts is so funny to me, i need a full episode dedicated to his former lovers

- fanny saying she admired alison’s spunk when they first met 😭😭 bc bc she never got to be outspoken in her life guyssss i’m so sad

- the kitty death episode was not as sad as anticipated which is making me worried for whatever they’re going to do to the captain

- the thomas, julian, pat and the captain investigation squad was everything to me, they love her so much you guys 😭😭

- also kitty now has a canon surname!!! and she’s directly related to isabelle which we could have guessed but it’s still exciting to me

- i’m becoming more a of kitmas shipper by the second

How Ravi Panikkar from 9-1-1 is autistic coded

im actually autistic btw and also dont like, dont read <3

lack of talking - in most episodes he goes a while without talking, just reacting with his face. (could be cause he’s not a main but shh) he tends to use a lot more non-verbal communication (gestures, faces etc) than he does verbal

fidgets/distracted easily - the gurney, 6x14 he fidgets a lot, and most episodes he’s just mindlessly fidgeting. from the jaw movement, the arm touches, tapping on the bags, he’s rarely still. he also tends to get distracted easily

eye contact - he doesn’t make a lot of eye contact and when he does it looks forced, plus it’s quick and it’s fleeting. doesn’t last long. especially if the topic is deep, he won’t make it at all

struggles with morals - the pier. autistic individuals feel their morals a lot more intense and it can be hard to distance from that. hence why the pier got to him so badly, because it fucked with his morals for life and firefighting and he didn’t know how to separate them

rough social skills - you can tell he feels that struggle to fit in, he would (still does at times) gets excited when one of the 118 actually talks to him, says the wrong things at the wrong times, alone a lot, potentially no friends outside of work (treasure hunt)

saying the wrong things at the wrong times/that come across as rude - “i did say that was a bad idea” - “that’s kind of basic” - the comment about the mirror in 5x5 - inappropriate comments about his buildings (ewew) - “i don’t expect much” - “i don’t really know these people”

“that’s kind of basic” followed by buck/eddies reaction “what he really means” - it insinuates they’ve had to do this before, jump in and clarify what ravi means because too him the comment made perfect sense, even when rude (you can also see he doesn’t understand why it’s wrong)

anxiety - he’s a very anxious character, esp in s5 but even then in s6, his confidence is a mask to hide that anxiety he’s feeling, you can see it in his eyes. he does a lot of second guessing and overthinking - anxiety is commonly seen with asd

alone/self isolation - he does a lot of things alone. the treasure hunt, on shift he’s alone a lot, just seems to really be fine just to be with himself. he also isolates himself when times get hard (buck in 5x5, the pier incident)

intelligence - he thinks outside the box, coming up with different smarter ways. getting coffee with a mobile order, finding the treasure first, realising they need co2 etc. he’s always thinking and figuring out things first - knowing random facts (phantosmia comment)

watching faces - he’s constantly looking at how the others are reacting so he knows what the appropriate response would be - when they’re inside the restaurant he’s the last to react to the guy screaming up; he’s watching buck’s face and seeing how he reacts first

following instructions - if there’s more than two steps it’s harder for him to do it and especially right, this is very clear in 5x5 like with the gurney, with the retirement fire. he preformed better when it was just one step at a time (ravi your with hen, ravi go get him etc)

stating the obvious - the whole drain pipes are only three inches so a person can’t be in it, it’s common sense yet he stated it because to him it feels like the right information to add - he does it a few other times as well, stating things people already know

Yo! Ummmm. Hmm. It's mostly from a personal perspective/my opinion/feelings on TMA?

I really did like how the story ended, I thought it wrapped up well, the thought that we didn't KNOW what happened in the aftermath or what happened to jmart & Co definitively, felt really fitting and a nice full circle close on the story as a whole. It ended where it should've and I was really satisfied with that. It had told its story and that was it. Part of TMA (the whole thing you could argue) is the fear of the Unknown so like. Idk it felt fitting.

Around the same time it was ending/s5 there was kind of a big boom in the Fandom, and there was a lot of new fans who binged the whole of 5 seasons in like. A week or two and then wanted, understandably, more?

I don't really have sources to back me up I'm just speaking from personal experience talking w people who I've recommended the show to post-finale and who listened to it post-finale, and this isn't to be gate keepy or try and bash newer fans like. It's a good show I'm glad that people are still discovering it. Etc etc etc whatever.

Its of my PERSONAL OPINION. that continuing the story that TMA told is a disservice to the story itself. I have a post here that I made back when it was announced that kinda explains a little bit better.

I don't mean to accuse anyone working in it or listening to it of like. Being a cashgrab or pandering to fans or anything like that, I'm just personally dissatisfied and a little disappointed about it.

Im just not excited, I'm sure it'll be good? Johnny Sims has a style of writing horror I'm a huge fan of, im sure everyone who worked on it worked hard and im sure they all did an incredible job and I'll probably. Listen to it someday? Im just. Dreading it. Idk. I'll probably ramble jn the tags a little more and be more incoherent but like. Eh. Not excited, seems stupid. Sorry.

TL;DR it's of my opinion that TMA didn't need a continuation, had a good ending for the story it was telling, and tmagp is a disservice to that story. Whatever.

So I'm just really happily rewatching the oc. It is a magical experience! ✨️ I find myself using expressions like unbeatable combination, schmear more than I admit. As of earlier this week I have been craving bagels and need to get myself a cute little slicer cutter and some cream cheese and some lox but it is pretty funny.

And best part I got my bfs sister interested and she is converted! Seth is her favorite. We are midway through season 2. Now, she won't watch Dawson's or Tree Hill, but she did give Degrassi a chance, but lost interest after a certain point (sometime in s5, I can't really blame her.) Maybe she will be saved from season 6 new!Sean so she dodged a bit of a bullet lol.

I at least got her into the The OC which she loves (thank god!) as well as Friday night lights, stranger things, breaking bad and mad men.

We are a trio of show people, and we also like card and board games. We have so much fun. C has excellent taste in shows overall but I'm glad I got to show my faves and her, and I have common faves as well. We wish twin peaks was on streaming so we can show it to tj. She's like a sister to me.

And like my bf was a Saved by the Bell and Seventh Heaven stan before I came along, and now he loves breaking bad degrassi and the oc and one tree hill, gilmore girls and more. I'm so proud of him and he loves and is super invested in the characters, couples/ships and makes predictions and looks forward to watching with me qnd i try to remain tight-lipped on spoilers on things i know. All in all, he'd fit right in here, I swear. Sometimes we don't always finish our shows bc we take on too many and we tease each other about that. I'm so glad we are together. I'm so happy and grateful for that. People day couch potatoes like its a bad thing but we don't just sit in front of TV that's usually an evening thing. We have jobs and lives friendships and interests isolated from each other. In October, 3 past three years have flown by, and it's been an amazing three years of happiness love and just wonderful unexpected and joy. New traditions, beginnings, excitement, films, TV, and I wouldn't have it any other way. It is truly the best. I love that real and special love I'd been longing for since for friggin' ever. I can't see myself with anyone else. I don't want to. He is everything. 🥰

To close, I love shows. I love television. I love tv romance friendships dybamics. Television brings families and friends and people together. It's a beautiful thing. 😍 📺 im a firm believer in sharing shows being a love language. For example, if I gush about my favorites and you let me, you are my people. If I share my feelings and favorite shows and all just know you're so important to me.

-harry potter, as much as he deserved to be, was so whiny some times 💀. ron is just whiny in the later books. like come on you think this kid who's gone through hell wants to keep going through hell for some money?? ronald come on calm your tits and talk to him. just that whole fight in goblet of fire could've been avoided if he just talked to his friend. like you fucking think he wanted that ronald?? calm down.

-there's a few characters that if they die in s5 of stranger things im literally going to break down. specifically dustin, steve, and robin. if they die--dude like absolutely not

-peter parker you deserve the entire world you deserve everything. all the peter parker's in the marvel cinematic universe and marvel comic universe. literally i--UGH

-there's a few twenty one pilots songs that while i listen to them i specifically remember the music video and i think that's really funny. to note, some of them are stressed out, lane boy, somewhat fairly local, house of gold, guns for hands, i just remember the livestream ones for shy away and choker, there's so many but like--there's parts that remind me of the mv

-i don't think i ever hated SAI i just distanced from twenty one pilots in 2021 (which honestly was the worst time for me to do so but here we are) and thinking i disliked SAI was better than turning away from the band that probably saved my life from further depression and instead turning to dumbass minecraft youtubers that ended up just being awful awful people. i hate that. i hate that i was so awestruck by these mcyts that i didn't think about how bad they could've been. SAI is a good album i just never got into it like i am now and that makes me feel so sad. i don't want to be one of those "oh you just came back because the lore said this album was...blah blah blah" like okay thanks for the words and shit i don't really care let me LIVE

some of yall are so brave and sure about byler being confirmed this season, i wish i had that confidence. the most i feel like we'll get is some ambiguous situation with mike's feelings leaning towards liking will but no confirmation and just to leaving us on a cliffhanger, all for the drama. which i would absolutely hate because i don't feel like being harassed by milkvans online until s5 releases. 🙄

i am annoyingly confident in byler lmao. i really dont think theyll leave it ambiguous in volume two because they kinda already did that in s3. it was subtle but that “not possible” scene, the painfully awkward mlvn kiss (which framed mike in a closet!!!) and his confused look after, not saying he loves her back, mike looking back at the byers house after everyone else rides their bikes away while hoppers letter says “if im being really honest, thats what scares me” and then cutting to will when he says “i dont want things to change”, mikes hug with his mom. they already left mikes feelings kinda ambiguous at the end of a season. theres no reason to do that again.

i also dont think they’ll leave it ambiguous based on the fact that theyre considering a time jump. to heavily imply their mutual feelings and then skip to their senior year only too reveal they still havent admitted their feelings to each other yet? nah. theyre not that bad. with the painting and everything theyre bound to have a talk about it in volume two. and noah said theres “an amazing scene” in the finale episode and we’ll “just have to see”. leaving something ambiguous requires more than one moment/scene like everything i mentioned they did at the end of s3. that scene he was talking about is probably related to them admitting their feelings and/or coming out. im so excited.

So happy to see someone else in this fandom who thinks all the fan characters are…. a lot? Mary sue is definitely a great word for a pretty large handful lol. I can imagine how crazy jumping into this fandom must be I jumped in around season two completely alone and honestly still don’t really understand everything. I came up with the alternate universe thing when I was doing research and realized how much journey to the west stuff there was and I thought a multiverse thing would be a funny way to think about it. i have explored it a little bit this year but i am SO excited to write more huntlow hehehehohohoho. i have so many ideas. huntlow brainrot real. also really any toh relationships i am excited to explore! including platonic one. just a whole new batch of blarbies to play with lol

for ml this is not a new pairing but love square has just gotten so much development in s5?? and i might want to explore those new dynamics in fic. but i will be totally honest that while i am eating up the new s5 content (up thru elation....i am avoiding out-of-order spoilers lol) for my own fanwork im still very attached the the old status quo lol. honestly i never mentally left season three 😂 so almost all of my ml ideas are based on that era of LS. and im not sure how interested people would even be with that now that we've like Moved On? idk

currently in a stressful pre-finals fugue trying to push to the end of the semester but so excited for SUMMER!! i'm gonna be doing an anthropological internship in a new city which is so so fun and i'm psyched to just have a break from "school brain" for a sec and explore

anyway this school year has been more insanely busy than i could have ever conceived but im feeling v good about everything i'm doing/the direction i'm going and person i'm growing into. v content and v grateful for sure. not writing as much as i'd like to outside of assignments/journalism stuff but i am in fact planning a substack return (double feature of a personal essay recapping my sophomore year and a s5 mrs maisel review) for later this month so hoping to get back into it once i have the time because i do miss that flow and freedom! looking forward to that and more sunshine and getting pizza w friends this week but HOW ARE YOU!!?
