who: @cursedflesh where: outside of terry’s place (doxxing :elmo:) what: that’s our grandma!
if there was one thing mark was sure of, it was that leo was going to be seeking terrence walker out. and if there was one thing mark was sure of ( so... that would make it two ), it was that he, as the man who had introduced her to the genealogy websites, could not bear to be responsible for any disappointments she may encounter in her endeavors ! ( any disappointments at all would be a shame, but to be actively responsible for them ? well... ) lucky for him, with some followers in high places, terrence walker was decently easy to place... he never thought he’d be alright with this so-called ‘doxxing’ ( a real invasion of privacy -- the house he actually lived in was as off the grid as possible for a reason ), but queefburglar69 finally came in handy. “ tell you what, a little old woman’s gonna stop by any time now -- ‘bout yea high, ” he began, putting his hand level to his shoulder, “ and she’s gonna be real excited. gonna tell you she’s your great-great-great-great-something-grandma, and you gotta at least pretend to be happy, ‘right ? name’s leo -- might introduce herself as leonarda with a real long last name -- and, boy, she’s been fuckin’ waitin’ for this. ”

SMG34 IDEAAA
SOO Smg4 gets a strange package, brings it inside and opens it up. BUT once it opened a bright white light flashed. Smg4 thinks it was a prank and decided to leave it alone, heading to 3's cafe because everyone is waiting for him there.
Once he gets there everyone didn't notice him. 4 thought it was another joke that they are playing on him and tries to get them to pay attention to him. He gets irritated and tries to interact with 3 but he phased through his hand. Yes HES A GHOSTTTTT
While 4 is panicking that hes a ghost, 3 decides that he needs to leave and check on 4 (not that he cares or anything baka),Mario comments on this saying "Worried about your boyfriend? GAA-" before 3 shoves a bomb down his mouth.
3 gets there and sees 4 lying unconsciously. He gets shocked and starts panicking, seeing if he is ok and stuff. 4 finally realize that his spiritual consciousness left his body. And tho he is not dead, his pulse is getting lower.
3 starts crying and saying stuff like "I never go to tell you......how much you mean to me....." etc. 4 also gets emotional about this.
Meggy and Mario decides to check up on them because they were taking too long and thought they were making out or something and sees 3 crying, holding 4's unconscious body.
Then cut to Smg4's body on a life support thingy while his spirital consciousness is watching everyone panick on what to do, but most importantly watching 3 in grief. He doesn't understand why someone like him would care about himself. And what did he never got to tell him...
Smg1 and Smg2 checked up on him and couldn't find the problem. 3 got angry and almost lashes out, then he went back to despair, mourning for his dying partner. He holds his hand and suddenly meme energy stuff happens causing 4's consciousness to appear in a blue lightform. This time when he yelled out everyone could see and hear him. 3 let go of his hand to rush to the spiritual 4 but he slowly faded away.
Smg1 and Smg2 declared that Smg4 is stuck in the spiritual plane after examining the contents of the box that they found 4 near to. It held a magical force that whoever opens it, seperates the consciousness from the body or something and they will slowly fade away leaving 4 dead forever.
3 begs 1 and 2 to find a way to save him, but the only way to save him requires........a sacrifice. 1 and 2 said that they could connect with 3 and channel their power to 4 that could bring him back but 3 would lose all his memories. He would forget about his friends, Eggdog, Terrence, but especially him.
He would forget his face, his beautiful smile, his laugh, their moments, and his feelings towards him. Though knowing this he wanted to save him. So he agreed.
Everyone else was pleading with 3, they couldn't bear to lose him. They started saying things like there could be another choice but 3 kicks them out of 4's room and locked the door.
As he heard yelling and banging from the door. 2 asked if he was really sure about this and 3 says "Yes, its for him".
4 sees this and starts crying, yelling at him even though he couldn't see him.
As 1 and 2 starts to channel the energy from 3 to 4, 4 slowly starts to appear again in front 3. 3 could feel his hands on his face and can see him crying begging him to stop, Saying that he needs him.
As the room was filled with magical energy, 3 could feel himself slowly forgetting. But before he could forget he had to do one last thing.
Though bearing the pain, He slowly reached out his hand and placed it on his face as he wipes away his tears.
"I love you Four, I always have" he says as he lets out a soft smile.
"WAIT THREE NO-" the room suddenly flashes a white bright light. Causing a powerful shock, knocking over the items on the shelves and blasting the door open.
Then everything went back to normal, as Smg4 feels himself again he couldn't forget about what happend to Smg3. He went to check on the man who was lying on the floor. As he gains consciousness he looks confused, asking where he is and who he is.
4 falls onto his knees, hugging the confused man. "I love you too three......" he softly says as he softly cries.
OH GOSH! This took a lil bit longer

Dialtown Party Game Concept
Hello friends. you might know me as the randy jade ask blog but I had something cooking in my brain for a bit and it was for a hypothetical Dialtown party game spinoff called Dialtown Party! Do note I don't really have any drawings but I might add some later if I feel like it so here we go!
The plot: It's Callum Crown's 100th birthday and Mingus is still trying to reform after the incident last February so in order to celebrate the big 100 for his peepaw, Mingus holds a festival in his name to get hip with the town. Everyone in Dialtown is welcome to participiate including someone who just moved in... you!
Basic Premise: In Mysims Party you would go through sets of minigames called Festivals with a certain number of characters per player in order to progress the "story" so I would think that the same can apply here. Example being something called an opening festival which has 3 minigames and then you unlock a festival after that which has 6 minigames. etc. etc. After every minigame you get points based on how well you perform in the minigame. In Mysims Party each festival was held by a different character, but in Dialtown Party Mingus hosts every festival, but she will say different things each festival to keep it fresh. I would think between these festivals you experience various conversations with the whole Dialtown cast and their thoughts on the festival and shenanigans ensue! This would also be a great chance to show interactions not in the original game like say... Abel and Bunny.
Every major and minor Dialtown Character is playable!: From Phonegingi and Oliver to cameo characters like Harry and Peter, everyone you know and love from Dialtown is now playable and has their own minigame to call their own! There's even some secret characters too! Later in this doc I'll explain every minigame and what you do to win in each of them. Mid-Festival Events!: Sometimes between minigames in a festival Madame Mediocre will appear and initiate a surprise event! Every player will pick a card from 15 or so cards and various things will happen. Here's the list of effects:
-An Enc0unter protection card. Nullifies negative effects from Enc0unter one time. (See the next section.) - A players party will recieve an item that temporarily increases a stat to the max for one minigame. (You can hold up to 3 of these items per player) - One character in players party has their lost stats restored - Every character in players party has their lost stats restored - The character used in the last minigame will have all their stats lowered by 1 - The character used in the last minigame will have all their stats boosted by 1 - A character in someone's party will be unavailable for 3 minigames - Nothing
Mid-Festival Events!(2): Sometimes between minigames... Enc0unter will appear! This mysterious figure could do all sorts of things. Change everyone's stats, add an unexpected minigame, lower everyone's stats to one, or max out everyone's stats.
Playable roster in no particular order: Phonegingi, Typegingi, Randy Jade, Oliver Swift, Karen Dunn, Bigfoot, Sgt. Norm Allen, Mayor Mingus, Jerry Gould, Abel Brannigan, Bunny, Nathan Hanover, Peter Kennedy, Roger Jones, Harry Fitzgerald, Hobo, Little Billy, Pierre, Curie, Zimothy Bunsen, Craig, Lorraine Deere, Terrence "Tango", Theoroar Rustlebelt, Stabby, Shooty, Gabby, Narrator, Frank, Ebenezer Dickens.
Secret Characters (No minigame attached besides some): Callum Crown, Marla Crown, Milton R. Wallace, Jack Kennedy, Steven Stevenson, Lola, Phonald Ringin, Frongles The Clown, Civilian
How to unlock characters: You play their minigame once. That's it. Mysims party character unlocking sucked i am NOT making other people go through that. You have the dateables and Gingi by default.
More about characters: Every character has 4 stats. Power, Running, Stamina, and Luck. Every minigame has preferred stats. For my sanity I won't be giving the stat numbers for every character so you'll just have to use your imagination for now. During festivals and after playing a minigame the preferred stats from the minigame played will have a point reduced on the characters stat. (Example: if a minigame had a preferred stat of running and power. Randy's power stat of 2 and running stat of 4 would be reduced to 1 and 3 respectively. A stat can go no lower than one.)
Minigame Structure: Every minigame will have 4 players and each player is represented by a Dialtown character or a custom dialtowner made in the player character's house. Each minigame will have a task and whoever can complete the task the best wins!
Special gimmick: In Mysims Party if you were to play as a character and then play as that character in their minigame the host for the minigame would be wearing a different costume. I would like to bring that to dialtown party. An example is that if you play as randy and then play the Randy minigame randy will be throwing swans at a randy wearing red clothes.
--MINIGAMES--
This section will list every characters minigame. This will be a LONG section.

Whoever has the most points by the time limit or when all collectables are found, wins!
--THE ENDING--
After completing all the festivals there will be a cutscene with Mingus visiting his grandfather at the nursing home. Mingus will tell his peepaw that the festival was a huge success and that Mingus is more liked by the community something that she thought would never happen after what she's done. Callum isn't responding that much, but soon enough Mingus pulls out the postcard that Mingus used to be so focused on and gives it to Callum. "I don't need this anymore," She says and bids his peepaw farewell. The despondent Callum Crown finally shows some movement and picks up the postcard that was on his lap. Callum stares at the postcard for a long while before putting it aside. Callum closed his hypothetical eye and sleeps. CALLUM CROWN'S MINIGAME: ??????????? Description: This is more of a cutscene than anything. The minigame introduction is in an indecipherable text and when you go to the character select screen the only option is... Callum Crown. The minigame shows the usually start graphic but there's no timer. It's a flashback to the time when Callum took the photo for that postcard. You talk to the townsfolk slowly gathering everyone up to make that fabled photo. Everyone is in place and Callum says "Say Dialtown everyone!" Right as this happens it cuts to current day where a similar photo is being taken except it's everyone in Dialtown that you just did all the minigames with. and then the credits roll.
--CONCLUSION-- Secret Character Unlocks: After you beat the game you unlock Callum Crown, Milton R. Wallace, and Marla Crown. No one acknowledges how they're alive or how Callum remembers anything as their appearances are non canon in an already hypothetical non-canon game! You unlock Jack and Steven via scoring well in Harry and Jack's minigame. You unlock Lola by doing well in Randy's minigame. You unlock Phonald Ringin, Frongles The Clown, and Civilian with cheat codes.
In conclusion: I hope you had a fun time reading this hypothetical. Feel free to take this post and do whatever you want with it like draw fanart of the minigame concepts or whatever. Overall though I just hope you enjoyed a Dialtown superfan's rambles!!!

ONLY 1 TOPPAT- THSC AU
Only 1 toppat-
Characters- Divided according to Timeline
It is a story based on the toppat leaders timeline where it will have all the leaders of the toppat and with my characters (Ocs) Alice, Alex and Crystal (Cris)
Dusty Cloudface -- Reynaldo the Brute Jaques Kensington T.R.N.K Billy G. -- Sir Wilford IV Alice Frank Alex Sanchez Terrence Suave Randy Randman
Reginald Copperbottom Right Hand Man
Secondary Characters- Lari Crystal Sven Svensson Burt Curtis TopBot Mr. Macbeth Carol Cross (Probably add Henry and Ellie and other toppats recruits)
Duration of leaders- First Era- Dusty, Cloudface- 1945-1955 (They started the toppat clan, they were the first leaders)
Second Era- Reynaldo the Brute, Jaques Kensington, T.R.N.K Billy G., - 1955- 2005
Third Era- Sir Wilford IV, Alice Frank, Sven Svensson/Alex Sanchez/Terrence Suave/ Reginald Copperbottom/Right hand Man (Era of more competition for the power to be a toppat leader, and is considered the toppat's fallen era)
----
Toppat classes - Members
Leaders
Sub-Leaders
Toppat Advisor
(takes care of the recruits and the socialization among the recruits)
Toppat Administrators
( take care of recruits and money)
Elites
(most important toppats that have direct contact between the leaders, they organize and train the recruits, usually the most valuable toppats)
Recruits
(normal toppats who go out on missions and raids, they are usually new or less important members)
----
Short summary: The title of toppat leader is hotly disputed and in the process many leaders can end up getting killed by their right arms or other allied/ traitorous toppats. When it comes to a lot of power and money, the most risky thing to do is to trust someone. Power can eventually go to the head of whoever wears that hat. Can this clan of criminals trust one person to lead them? Because we must not forget that they are criminals, and criminals steal, criminals cheat.
(I still have to plan the chapters and how to start, but I really hope for support on this project of mine. You can send me questions or tips. I will read everything ^^. My characters are free to interact or send Asks!!!)
Ps: I'm sorry if I made any mistakes in English, English is not my native language so I might accidentally make mistakes ^^"

Things that I, Knives, personally hope to see in season 2 of ofmd (in no particular order):
(beware of spoilers)
Feel free to add your own expectations too, it's fun.
more Roach. Just more Roach is what I ask for.
possibly Olivia and Karl's offsprings, because the though of Buttons having a bunch of birds friends that are hell bend on avenging their partner and father is hilarious to me (and I'm assuming cj is alive, because reasons) plus I want to see "Buttons being somewhat mystical" thing explored more.
a call back to the joke in episode 6 in s1, Izzy eavesdropping on his captain having seemingly normal, if heated conversation with Stede fucking Bonnet, only to discover that they got physical
the progression of Jackie's revenge on Jim (like I was surprised to realize that most people don't see how young and inexperienced Jim is? Jackie almost got them that first time, her plan totally would have worked if not for Stede breaking the nose jar. And for the second time she talked Jim out of murder).
how Stede will settle into "true" piracy (and here too I'm surprised how people are criticizing him for "playing pirates" when the show actually spoon feeds us that this was his plan all along, to play pretend with his wife and children. When Mary soundly rejected the idea, Stede runs away on unfinished ship) without the cushion that having a fortune provided for him before
since all Izzy's attempts of separating Ed from Stede backfired spectacularly, I wonder if him trying to bring them back together would also result in the opposite. But for that to happen first he'd have to fully realize what the Kraken is fully capable of... and I'm not sure if I'm ready for that (kinda am, kinda not)
finally Ed, is there even a thing I don't want to see about Ed, huh. As I mentioned, I kind of want to see more of the Kraken (fictional violence and fictional suffering is a way to explore stuff, right) but I also want to see him heal (mostly because another hiatus will make me suffer).
I'm super curious how the change in Ed will resonate with Stede and vice versa. Because Stede is the one who struggles to change all his life and couldn't, and as a result was forever isolated and an outlier in every group he ever was part of. Meanwhile Ed is the one who mastered the art of changing and fitting in groups (to the point of considering a part with fancy people a challenge "how does one win this interaction"), as a matter of survival and gaining control over his own fate. But that lead him to severe burnout and depression, he's clearly struggling with his sense of self & self worth. So I'm super excited for this season.
how Frenchie and Jim will deal with being on a Blackbeard's ship/the contrast between before & after (I think ironically Frenchie is better at adapting than Jim, but we shall see) also will we get more of Leather Crew that we saw in glimpses in season 1 (if one of them is named Kevin or Terrence, I'm investing my savings in lottery tickets/becoming full time clairvoyant)
I'll add more as soon as I remember them.

Film Comparisons for "Enter the Void"
Experiment details
/ AI-to-human: Memory Recall Enhancement / Functional Test / Experiment #15.f / Objective: Identify the movie I'm vaguely remembering whose marketing looked kind of like 2009's "Enter the Void." / Experiment Note 1 Experimental pre-work included informal self-gaging of uncertainty factor that movie I'm half-remembering (whose marketing is very similar to 2009's "Enter the void" and was on Netflix a lot) is a movie from 2009 called "Enter the Void" that was on Netflix a lot. Eventually the AI helped me recall with strong certainty factor that the movie I was half-remembering is 2012's "Holy Motors". So an interesting interaction all around, now let's take a look at the back and forth with ChatGPT4:
The Successful Question
Q: List 5 or 10 movies that could be easily confused with Enter the Void (2009) and Holy Motors (2012) for someone who has only seen marketing for all of these movies.
A:
These are movies that might be easily confused with Holy Motors (2012) and Enter the Void (2009) based on their marketing materials, as they have a similar visual style, surreal themes, or experimental narrative structures:
The Fountain (2006) - Directed by Darren Aronofsky, this visually stunning film explores themes of love, mortality, and spirituality across multiple timelines.
Upstream Color (2013) - Directed by Shane Carruth, the film features a unique narrative structure and visually striking imagery, exploring themes of identity and interconnectedness.

Misfire Questions
Before I succeeded in finding the half-remembered film, I asked four total failed questions – two "new chat" questions, each with one additional "in chat" follow-up:
Please give me a list of a few real 2010's edgy artistic movies that include neon in the marketing material and which are set at least partially in japan. Follow up: Please give me a similar list of movies like this, but produced between 2000 and 2010.
Please list some movies whose poster and other marketing material might make it easily confused with 2009's "Into The Void." Follow up: Are there any movies made between 2000 and 2020 that might be confused with the marketing material for "Enter the Void" but which contain the word fish or hotel in the title?
Successful Question
And now here' the original question I asked ChatGPT4, which let me to finally identify "Holy Motors":
List 10 movies that might be mistaken for 2009's "Enter the Void"
A:

"Only God Forgives" (2013) - Directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, this film's neon-soaked visuals and themes of violence and redemption might be reminiscent of "Enter the Void."
"Mandy" (2018) - A psychedelic horror film with vivid visuals and surreal storytelling, which could lead to it being mistaken for "Enter the Void."
"Holy Motors" (2012) - A surreal and visually captivating film that explores themes of identity and the nature of reality, making it easy to confuse with "Enter the Void."
"The Neon Demon" (2016) - Another visually stunning film by Nicolas Winding Refn, with intense themes and a focus on the darker side of human nature, which might lead to confusion with "Enter the Void."
"Upstream Color" (2013) - A visually arresting and thought-provoking sci-fi film with a unique narrative structure that explores themes of love, loss, and the nature of consciousness, which could make it easy to mistake for "Enter the Void."
Clarifying and edifying follow up
I self-gaged a roughly 93% certainty level that "Holy Motors" was the movie "whose marketing I've seen which looked a little like Enter the Void and which was on Netflix a lot." The remaining 7% of uncertainty prompted me to write the following prompt, as well as a desire to seek / remind myself of movies that are possibly interesting:
Q: List 5 or 10 movies that could be easily confused with Enter the Void (2009) and Holy Motors (2012) for someone who has only seen marketing for all of these movies.
A:
These are movies that might be easily confused with Holy Motors (2012) and Enter the Void (2009) based on their marketing materials, as they have a similar visual style, surreal themes, or experimental narrative structures:

Synecdoche, New York (2008) - Directed by Charlie Kaufman, this film features a complex, layered narrative and explores themes of identity, art, and the nature of existence.
Beyond the Black Rainbow (2010) - Directed by Panos Cosmatos, this visually striking film features a surreal and experimental narrative that can be confusing based on marketing materials.
The Congress (2013) - Directed by Ari Folman, this film combines live-action and animation to explore themes of identity and technology in a surreal, visually engaging way.
Only Lovers Left Alive (2013) - Directed by Jim Jarmusch, this moody and atmospheric film follows a pair of vampire lovers through various eras, featuring a unique visual style that may confuse some viewers.
Mandy (2018) - Another film directed by Panos Cosmatos, this visually vibrant and surreal film features a revenge-driven narrative that could be easily confused with the aforementioned films based on marketing materials.

Thank you so much for these questions, @terrence-self-ships! <3
1. What is your s/i's name & pronouns?
Tumblr media
Haiji
they/them
Source: Naruto Shippuden
Tumblr media
Karma
they/them
Source: My Hero Academy
8. Does your s/i have any kind of powers?
Tumblr media
Haiji
Short answer; Yes!
Slightly longer answer; They actually didn’t initially have the ability to perform ninjutsu. Their relationship to sage energy is similar to Jugo’s clan’s, but with the “berserk” mode being a direct response to feelings of distress or endangerment. Or, you know. Trauma.
Their teacher, Rena, who comes from a family that naturally interacts with sage energy as well was able to help them figure out their own way of converting that energy into “chakra” they can use for ninjutsu - but doing so has several consequences that I might take the time to list in the future maybe.
Tumblr media
Karma
Again, yes! This time in the form of their Quirk.
Empathic Absorption
When they are hit with a physical attack, Karma is able to absorb the physical impact and return an attack with the same amount of damage! At the same time, they are able to feel the emotions of their attacker at the moment of impact. Unfortunately, their ability to withstand damage has a threshold - any damage taken beyond that has immediate consequences! The same effect occurs if they don’t expel the damage they have received in a healthy way. They also end up sharing their emotions through their own punches, making this a double-edged Quirk in a lot of situations.
10. How many s/i's do you have? Do you use the same s/i for multiple f/os or make completely different ones?
I usually only make one self-insert for each fandom/franchise/etc. that I get invested in to keep things simple, lol. But I did make another one for My Hero Academy because of a TikTok art challenge.
Tumblr media
Kat
they/them
Quirk: Air Prop
The user focuses on manifesting an invisible tool or object from the air around them that they can then utilize as long as they focus on the tool and its physical properties. If the user stops believing in the existence of their object, it will cease existing.
As for how many I have in general, I honestly could not tell you, lol. Probably at least 10, likely more. xD
15. Does your s/i interact with any other self shippers s/i's?
>o>
Not yet, but that sounds like a lot of fun! I think the last time I did anything like that was in high school with my friend Iris when we were co-writing a cross-over fanfiction with Shikamaru and Neji from Naruto and ourselves as members of the First Encounter Assault Recon (F.E.A.R.) team and getting harassed by ghosts and small children.
Not recommending that game, btw, I haven’t played it since, like...2010 or 2011. >>;;
Anyway, I love doing that kind of collaborative stuff! It’s always lots of fun. <:

Season 1, episode 3: Shifty Little Dodger
Spoiler alert!!! This is a rewatch recap of Snowpiercer s1e3: Access is Power. Naturally, it is full of spoilers for that episode. However, it also contains spoilers for some other episodes of season 1 and season 2. You have been warned!
Creepy Klimpt gets the opening monologue this time. He tells us all about how he deals drugs in exchange for antique hairbrushes because he’s lonely. Am I supposed to feel sympathy for him? I don't. While he drones on, we follow the journey of Sean Beef’s access chip. It initially gets traded for a razor, but then zooms up to First where it has a brief stint as a gambling chip. Eugenia slams a pair of queens down on the poker table and tells Mr. Lam to sashay away. Next, we watch her trading the chip for an orgasm against what looks like the same wall/door that Layton and Zarah used last episode? Finally, Osweiller trades a little packet (probably Kronole) for the chip, and takes it to Terrence.
After the opening credits, Layton is having another gold-tinted flashback-y dream about Zarah. They argue again: he’s worried about what Zarah might have to do in the nightcar, but she thinks it won’t be as bad as life in the tail. Just in case the opening scene didn’t contain enough references to trading, Layton gives Zarah his wedding ring - she might be able to trade it in Third. Then, she walks through the tail to a chorus of verbal abuse from her neighbours. No wonder she wanted to leave!
Till and Osweiller pick Zarah up, meaning that Osweiller has been in the job for at least five years. Shouldn’t he be better at it by now?
Then, Layton is ripped from his flashback by two Jackboots. They stick a pillowcase over his head and drag him uptrain.
Next, we get another reminder that Twitter doesn’t exist on Snowpiercer: cat memes are now circulated via pneumatic tube. Representatives from all departments have gathered in the First class dining hall to see what Snowpeter’s been up to this week. Ruth tells the class to settle down, then hands the message to Melanie. Apparently they’re skipping the morning flirting ritual today.
Melanie opens by telling everyone that it’s been a tough forty eight hours. I am, once again, confused about the timeline of this show. She reads a speech from “Mr. Wilford”, and Grey accuses her of plagiarising Churchill. He also brings up the recent unrest - because of all the murder and the uprising. Luckily, Melanie knows exactly how to keep the people calm and relaxed: changing plans, and public violence! They’re going to bring Fight Night forward to tonight. Ruth tells her it’s a brilliant idea, then makes this expression:
Tumblr media
The Jackboots bash Layton into every section of wall they can find on their journey to one of the hospitality rooms. Luckily for him, it's not the torture chamber! His new mom and dad Melanie and Roche are there to remind Layton that they are Very Disappointed in him for smuggling a lock pick in his ass yesterday. He’s not supposed to text his friends when he’s grounded!
They tell him that Sean Beef spied on the black market. Specifically, the cool new drug Kronole. Layton tells his mom and dad Melanie and Roche that Kronole isn’t new: it’s been in the tail for ages. That leads to this interaction:
Tumblr media
Melanie’s powers of delusion are, quite honestly, enviable.
Layton sees an opportunity to take some of the heat off himself by getting his new stepbrother in trouble. He tells his dad Roche exactly how Kronole is getting into the tail: Osweiller trades it for blowjobs.
In the next scene, Till is waiting in the corridor for passers by to flirt with her. Or… no. One passerby in particular. It turns out Till is the reason Jinju was so happy in episode one!
Tumblr media
Till starts to complain about work, but Jinju tells her to shut up: she just wants to fuck. When they’re finished with that, they cuddle for a while and discuss social mobility, because of course they do. Absolutely no one is surprised to learn that Till is the little spoon.
Then, it's time for the obligatory naked ass shot! Today, it’s Till’s turn. That’s three for three! Till continues their earlier conversation about work while she gets dressed, and uh-oh! Jinju lets slip that Nikki is not, in fact, unconscious. Jinju doesn’t want her girlfriend and her best friend/boss fighting, so Till promises to be sneaky about her illegal questioning.
Roche is furious with his son employee, Osweiller, and calls him a “shifty little dodger”. It’s nowehere near harsh enough in my opinion, but also very funny. It’s kinda cute that Roche is still surprised by police corruption after all these years!
Osweiller is busy pretending that he actually fought in the rebellion instead of getting thrown to safety by a Jackboot after taking a single punch. What a dick! His dad boss comes in with the truth, embarrassing him in front of his new friends. When they clear off, Roche clips him around the back of the head and accuses him of trading drugs for blowjobs. Layton gets in on the action too, giving his stepbrother another smack. Osweiller goes to hit him back, but his dad Roche restrains him.
Surprisingly, Osweiller has enough common sense not to tip Roche and Layton off to Terrence or Klimpt: he says he’s just trading the confiscated stuff. Then, in a move rivalling Melanie Cavill’s levels of delusion, he tries to claim that he was performing a humanitarian act. Given that we have just seen that Roche is okay with corporal punishment, I’m not sure how he resists the urge to smack Osweiller again.
Next, we have to suffer through another Osweiller scene! He’s dragged into a meeting with the mopping mafia, where Terrence explains that he makes his nail polish himself, because he loves what rattlesnake venom does to the colour. Osweiller convinces Terrence that he didn’t snitch, and he’s allowed back out to the lake to continue digging his hole.
In the chains, Roche questions Zarah: he needs to know what Sean Beef told her about Kronole. I’m not a professional spy or anything, but don’t spies have to keep information secret? Why would Sean tell his partners anything? Zarah insists that she knows nothing, and Roche leaves. Then, with no further questioning, she immediately tells Layton - who is clearly working as Roche’s partner - that the janitors are dealing drugs. Zarah… why?
Up in the First class dining room/gambling den/playground, children are literally running around while Firsties gamble and strip. Did Mr. Wilford forget to pack babysitters, as well as homicide detectives? What the fuck!? Lilah Folger accuses Ruth of using the casino and Fight Night as a distraction from the insurrection, murder and extinction. Ruth doesn’t even try to deny it:
Tumblr media
She is so fucking great in every fucking second of every fucking scene!
Back in the lockup room, Roche delicately unpacks his lunch onto a tiny tablecloth. Adorable. Layton asks about Roche’s family, and Roche explains that two of his kids died. That’s why he adopted Osweiller, Till and Layton. Layton, in a thoroughly astounding move, compares Zarah relocating to Third to the deaths of Roche’s children. Roche somehow keeps his cool, and offers Layton a slice of apple. After a quick summary of the Sean Beef dilemma, they chat about Wilford. We learn that the engine is biosecure: supposedly that's the reason that no one has seen Wilford since departure. Roche apparently doesn't know about the engine's video link to the nightcar that we see in S2.
Before Layton can ask any more questions, Till barges in to let them know Nikki is awake. Roche isn’t interrupting his lunch break for anything: it’s already 2pm! He sends the kids off to play by themselves, as long as they’re back by curfew.
In the subtrain, Tristan drapes a coat around Melanie like the queen she is, and she gets an update from Bennett about the breaches. It’s not good. Bennett suggests uncoupling the tail, and Melanie responds by hitting him. She has nearly matched Mr. Wilford's record for most HR complaints in a single week, and this time she wants to break it! Bennett clarifies that he wasn’t suggesting genocide - they could relocate the people before dropping the cars. Melanie explains that it would probably lead to civil war, then laments:
Tumblr media
Jinju calls, to tell Melanie that she maaaaaybe accidentally let classified information slip to that Brakeman she’s fucking? Oopsie! Melanie heads straight down to the clinic, where Till and Layton have just discovered that Nikki has some very similar symptoms to Kronole withdrawal.
Following Zarah’s trend of freely volunteering incriminating information without even being questioned, Klimpt admits that he’s been trading out suspension drugs. We don’t get much more information on that before Layton spots a bag of Miles’ hair in the drawers room. He immediately makes the relatively reasonable assumption that Miles is in a drawer, because why else would someone have a haircut in the drawer car? But Melanie assures Layton that Miles is fine! He’s an apprentice! The drawers car just doubles up as a barbershop for no fucking reason!
After a sweet but boring reunion between Layton and Miles, we finally get an update on what the tailies are up to: they've started a rock climbing club! There aren't a lot of rocks in the tail, but the tailies are used to improvising. Lights has made it all the way to the ceiling, which checks out: she seems like the kind of character who would have packed a carabiner or two in her apocalypse luggage.
Tumblr media
She confirms that the train is running slow: they should have passed that mountain yesterday. Instead of assuring everyone that late trains are just a good old British tradition, Josie speculates that maybe all that shaking around yesterday was bad? From there, Murray escalates to potential power outages and water rations, and then another tailie suggests Mr. Wilford will kill them all. That was a quick spiral, friends! Let’s take a few deep breaths!
Josie then points out that they’ve gone seven years without getting uncoupled, so why would Wilford do it now? The revolutionaries agree to ‘double up to conserve heat’, and fanfic writers need to know exactly who shares a bunk with who, please? For… science?
Uptrain, Melanie tells Layton that he can’t see his friend/girlfriend until he finishes his homework! He can tell Josie all about Miles' new fork as soon as he IDs Sean Beef's killer.
Layton and Till decide they’re going to sneak out together to Fight Night. They need some more sibling bonding time! Till knows people, and they get to skip the queue: maybe she’s not such a bad little sister after all? Inside, Miss Audrey and Clay are riling up the crowd. For this week’s mini challenge, the queens have to catch falling animal pelts! Eugenia tosses a fox fur off the first class balcony, and Clay takes the win! Miss Audrey isn’t fazed: she knows her runway look will save her, and she’s ready to lipsync her way to the crown if she needs to.
Meanwhile, Melanie has convinced Bennett to let her borrow the Wilford soundboard for half an hour. She’s surprised to see that there’s an audio file called ‘fight_night_speech’. Did she already do this? It wouldn’t be the first time she’d blacked out from lack of sleep and forgotten she’d already ticked an item off her to-do list. She hits play, to check how it sounds.
“Good evening, passengers of Snowpiercer. I would like to inform you all that I am a psychotic old goat. I wet the bed until I was thirty-nine and sometimes I fuck puppets.”
Melanie sighs, hits pause, and renames the file ‘fuck_you_ben’ before quickly pasting together a more appropriate speech.
Back in the nightcar, the passengers love hearing from Wilford. Melanie should really consider starting a podcast using the Wilford sound board: it'd be a hit! Despite the fact that Miss Audrey, Clay and a referee are all present with microphones, it’s Melanie who announces the start of the fight over the PA system. Sure? The contestants immediately start throwing punches, and the crowd goes wild.
Layton senses another opportunity to get yelled at/laid, and tells Till that he wants to chat to Zarah alone. Till lets him go, and Lilah literally uses opera glasses to watch him walk to the bar, because of course she does!
Tumblr media
Zarah closes the magical noise-cancelling curtains to the backroom, and gives Layton a quick who’s who of the mopping mafia. She returns his wedding ring - the one that he gave her in the flashback - in case he needs to trade it for anything. He says he still loves her, she says she loves him too, and I say I fucking hate this scene.
In the clinic, Nikki is getting restless. She decides to take herself for a nice little nighttime stagger through the train. We can all guess where she's going to end up!
Osweiller - who is decidedly not a janitor - has been elected as the janitors’ representative to talk to Layton. Osweiller’s a dick about it: he’s still pissed that Layton told his dad boss that he was dealing drugs. Layton is pretty confident that he’s the favourite child (maybe tied with Till, but he’s definitely higher ranked than Osweiller), so he threatens to tell their dad boss lies about Osweiller if he doesn’t set up a meeting with Terrence.
Nikki rocks up to Fight Night! How the fuck did she get past security?! Whatever! Till tries to deal with the situation, but she doesn’t manage to get Nikki out of the room before LJ notices her. LJ promptly tells her parents that Nikki is innocent, and neither of them seem to question how their perfect little psycopath could possibly know that.
Below them, the Fight Night fighting spreads to the crowd. The Firsties are fucking loving it. LJ throws a glass off the balcony, because she’s a little shit.
Meanwhile, Layton is escorted downtrain for a date with Terrence - never Terry.
Tumblr media
Layton tells Terrence-Never-Terry that his drugs are poison, and that he should be ashamed of himself. Roche would be so proud of his son! Terrence-Never-Terry had no idea that Sean Beef was a Kronole spy. He tells Layton that he used to work as a janitor in a high rise building before the freeze, and the train is just like his old job. Layton then gives Terrence-Never-Terry and the viewers a quick citizenship lesson: Third and the tail total 70% of the train’s population. Terrence-Never-Terry then suggests that they could “see who’s in the penthouse” of the train. So, he’s clearly got some suspicions about Melanie, too. This list is getting long!
Finally, Terrence-Never-Terry gives Layton a big break in the case: Sean Beef was with a Firstie a few hours before he died. Layton responds by asking his new ally for one more thing: an access chip.
Roche is clearing the nightcar, and informing patrons that the border is closed. Also, the subtrain is out of order. Do some of these people have a four-five mile walk ahead of them? That doesn't sound fun! As he continues to herd the patrons out of the car, Ruth delivers one of the most Ruth lines yet:
Tumblr media
Melanie and Ruth's daily flirting time has, apparently, been rescheduled for this evening! They divide up the remainder of the night’s work in between checking each other out. The Folgers are waltzing together (to silence - that’s how Melanie can tell they’re really good at it). Robert suggests that Mr. Wilford could cut the tail loose, and Melanie still doesn’t offer any explanation as to why she won't do it. I'm tempted to start a conspiracy theory that Melanie kept the tail because it contains the only car with a supply door, and she knew something about Big Alice the whole time.
Roche and Layton meet Melanie to tell her that Layton has a description of Sean Beef’s killer. Melanie agrees that he’s worked hard enough to be allowed to see his friend/girlfriend, so they pay a quick visit to the tail.
Luckily for Josie, Layton is still feeling a little delicate from yesterday's wire smuggling adventure. He has chosen to hide today's small contraband item in his mouth. He gives her a quick update on Miles, tells her that his love life is a mess, and then kisses her through the window. Melanie speaks for us all, and sends the Jackboots in to separate them.
Tumblr media
Before she shuts the window, Melanie makes sure to take a good look at Josie. She must be bad with faces, because by episode seven she (supposedly) has no idea who Josie is!
Layton gets pinned up against the gate, and Melanie demands the killer’s description from him. But it’s too late! The dick hunter’s accomplice is already roaming the corridors of Snowpiercer, tying up loose ends. He takes out a guard, a clinic staff member, and then has a menacing little chat with Nikki and turns off her nightlight.
In the tail, Josie looks a little shell shocked as she walks back to her bunk. It’s okay, sweetie, the viewers didn’t understand half of that scene either! She puts her hand to her lips and smiles in a way that threatens to decimate her whole character - but then, she draws a tiny container out of her mouth. The little access chip that could has made it all the way from First to the tail. That scrap of wire must be so fucking jealous.

Yo! Really love your works! Anyways, how would a Yandere Kars, Dio, Kira, and Diavolo be with a s/o that's friends with the good guys? (bonus if they too are yanderes)
Yandere! Kars, Dio, Kira, and Diavolo with an s/o that’s friends with the good guys ( A pinch of good side yandere, I kind of wanted to focus on the main villain but yandere characters are insinuated)
Also if anyone wants Diavolo just request away! I spent 4 hours on Dio, Kars, and Kira alone so I’m kind of wiped right now, I wasn’t expecting to write that much right away.
Yandere! Pt 1 Dio
He has had his eyes set on you even prior to turning himself vampiric. Every second before he turned he was inexplicably in your presence whenever you were with Jonathan. Merely listening onto your drivel with that so called mannerless man.
At any given opportunity he’d interrupt, and of course continually make Jonathan a fool of himself in front of his father. Occasionally that would leave you vulnerable with Jonathan having to attend to other duties due to his brutish incompetence. But perhaps you were a bit more on your toes than he realized, any hesitance you may have had around him the blond had picked up immediately.
He totally acts like this is normal during the period he was still human. He’ll even bring up nonchalant topics up with you. Beckoning you on for walks while just so happening to be in front of Mr. Joestar, his sharp use of his tongue is fairly convincing.
He kept track of every single interaction you had with Jonathan, whether it was running to him because of the blond himself. Or you sneaking onto the property to avoid his own gaze. Though he’d especially let you know he was privy to your attempts to avoid him. Just with a simple stare, or perhaps a passive aggressive remark over dinner.
When the point of his vampirism hits his personal obsession only worsens (especially if Jonathan starts showing particular signs of an unhealthy fixation) or any of his allies for that matter. He personally makes a visit to you when you have seemed to have purposely distanced yourself.
“Jonathan seems to be a little strange around you doesn’t he? What a frightening thought that acting against his own chivalrous intents with you-”
He pauses for a second gauging your expression, but a well worn smirk simply rises on his lips
“such a shame really when you always used to run to him...”
He’ll even rub in the fact anyone that works with Jonathan around you has met the same fate in their behavior.
Any sense of normalcy is quickly stolen from you and the blond will make sure it stays that way. Shall you run back to the men you tried to trust with your well-being? Though being honest he’ll find a way for you to fall in his clutches, especially manipulating the competition.
Yandere! Kars
As a pillarman who would normally look at a human with disdain, his fixation with your is increasingly dangerous. Especially if you happen to be working with Joseph, Lisa Lisa, and Caesar, (and if they are anywhere near fixated as he is with you, things are bound to be brutal). Your a goal for him just as the red stone of Aja is, no one or anything will stand in between him and you.
Considering you must be worth something if you managed to be seen in a positive light of a being who lusts to stand as a superior being.
Surely he toys with your well-being just to try and coax the others out, placing you into unfair situations. Such as being outnumbered by recently turned underlings. (More than anything the worst outcome would be you having the red stone, as Kars would snatch you up himself without letting you putting up even a minuscule bit of a fight)
Considerably he revels seeing you at your limits, cunningly mocking you with backhanded compliments. But in between there’s a sincere remark that sends utter chills down your spine. He’s very willing to get a stone mask on you and turn you at a moments notice. Not only to torture Joseph and the others with their obsessed actions in having to use hamon.
He’ll also hum over the fact how delicious you’d taste if he just happened to absorb you. Frightening your fragile soul to the core as he mockingly takes a finger of yours into the skin. Honestly he’d mostly disregard the others obsession in place of you. Though that isn’t to say he wouldn’t love to tear anyone to shreds who possibly thinks they could have you of all things.
Yandere! Pt 3 DIO
There’s massive tension when arriving in Cairo, Egypt. You can’t help but sense something is up with the guys, an overprotective streak. No it was something more, and you had to keep them at bay. Each of them were ruthless to anyone that dared to try to hurt you. Though their supposed protection could be absolutely suffocating. Then there was occasional issues...Kakyoin was normally snippy and pretty sharp with his insults but something was more intense and spiteful behind him insulting Polnareff.
Jotaro was silent but his presence was sharp and barely left you, how could you not notice a man practically staring holes into the back of your head. Most of all Polnareff couldn’t be more than a few meters away, he was practically a lap dog. Until one of the others intervened with a vengeance.
The trip had started completely normal for their personalities but now it was twisted into something that likely freaked you out. Even putting you on edge comparable enough to the undead fiend hiding in Egypt.  That was the least of your issues however when you did arrive in the fated city of Cairo. Dio himself waited with a suave calmness of anticipation of the people who wanted to kill him. Hidden within the confines of a building well tucked away, he desired to destroy the burden that was he Joestars but also something else.
There was you. So he bides his time carefully while his servants attempt to take the group out before they could bother approaching him. Of course he’s not surprised in the slightest when they make it right on his doorstep.
You all happen to split off at an oh so convenient time. Anyone you happen to run into whether it be Terrence d’arby or even Vanilla Ice *Varying on who you split off with). Give you looks of intrigue but explain nothing of their vague interests.
Perhaps you inexplicably end up on your own by some miracle, even if it wasn’t a particularly good idea. Dio absolutely delights himself in tracking you down in the night under the stars of Cairo.  He doesn’t even make haste in taking care of anyone chasing him. The vitriol he’s met with even stronger than usual hatred for his existence tips him off to the groups feelings for you. The blond vampire certainly couldn’t have that type of fixation possibly eyeing you, aside from himself that is.
Dio will eventually find you, and certainly corner you in one shape or another. If he happens to need to use The World to achieve this if you’re not too far away than so be it.  He towers over you with a wave of charisma and confidence, a smirk placating his desires placated right in front of him.
“Astounding you came this far with the Joestars, I’ve never seen such determination to cross the world with a bunch of fixated fools...” he’ll muse nonchalantly. But there’s something wrong you can just feel it, his eyes are no different. His interest in you is frightening for some reason. He plays along with the mix of fury and fear in your eyes, the swings of your stand that he easily dismisses with a few strong swipes of his stand. Then he’ll comment of your distress, reminding him of countless others who came near him.     Time proceeds to stop and he comes up on the other side of you.
He enjoys the feel of your neck beneath his fingers before firmly letting his nails dig into the surface.
Time resumes, his digits already digging into your arteries with little effort.  An air of superiority fills the air, he’ll inform you this is where the fight ends. Unfortunately it’s not the way you wanted it to in the slightest, no he never intended to give you that choice in the first place.
He doesn’t hesitate to tease you, his breath just centimeters from your face as he bends down. telling you not to bother with trivial resistance, his lovely little pet.
Yandere! Yoshikage Kira    Kira is particularly interesting with his yandere tendencies, it’s bad enough he has to hide a deadly hand fetish let alone an obsession for a whole person. He’s rather concerned immediately as this obsession isn’t typical of his usual murderous intents. What makes it worse most likely, is he probably has the awareness you might be part of the group that’s attempting to pursue him.
Even when he assumes the identity of Kosaku Kawajiri, he’s not only on edge of being discovered but you are also an issue. He should want to eliminate you just like the rest who are trying to find him. But he can’t seem to convince himself of such of endeavor, even with the potential of just having your hands
When it comes down to it however, he’s on edge enough to strategize around you somehow. Especially with Hayato and Shinobu being involved with his assumed identity’s life.
His heart impulsively races if he stumbles near by you, an attempt to rationalize his feelings after acting on his simple desires for so long.
Though there’s likely a way to track your habits after he gets rid of the others, and any feasible evidence incriminating him towards these newly missing pupil. Surely he can track your family’s schedule, perhaps even your own to an extent.
There’s much he has to work around, but he’ll somehow make something work even if Kira has to erase every single little thing to get to you.

Somebody To Call Friend (Larry Purvis x Reader)
Tumblr media
I don’t own the rights to the picture used above
Reader POV: With the military ship, U.S.M. Auriga, under lockdown after a half dozen Xenomorphs escaped from containment, the reader find themselves lost and alone amongst some other survivors of the attack. Some of them aren’t as friendly since there’s no trust upon one another. That’s when the reader meets one of the survivors and starts making a friend amongst the chaos happening everywhere…
Non-Request: I wanted to write something where to bring in the short lived character from the movie itself and see how he would interact with the reader themselves if they were put into this type of situation.
Warning: Swearing/language, mentions of gore and violence, wounds, and blood
“Hey get away from us you rat! We don’t want anybody infected near us and being killed by what was put into your stomach,” a large muscled soldier shoved you really hard, that your head had banged against the steel grate floor. Some of his other soldiers pals were chuckling and while another group was backing off. Your vision came back after the hard shove and the same guy spit out a nice sized saliva ball and landed upon your left cheek. The others laughed and began to move away, while the frightened group went the other way in the split off corridor.
How did it come to this? You asked yourself over and over again. Just a couple days ago, you were in your one person bedroom sound asleep after fixing a problem with one of the medical equipment in the med bay, until a blaring alarm came and the sound of Father’s voice came up over the blaring alarm. “Attention. Attention. Containment breach of cell blocks: 1, 4, 6, 9, and 15. Please be advised.” Half of the soldiers and security detail were torn to shreds or were taken by these Xenomorphs. This made most of the others stay or flee off of the ship in the escape pods. Almost anyone that stayed became more lethal and dangerous with high tech military weapons.
Nasty rumors began to go around that these things were somehow laying eggs inside unexpected people and bursting sometime later. This made you be more cautious around these assholes that have itchy trigger fingers and ready to fire at anybody that comes anywhere near them. “Be more careful around here (y/n). They’re becoming more skittish by the second,” a familiar voice popped up from above. It took a minute or two to look who was talking to you and found out to be Private Vinnie Distephano. He gave off a warm, welcomed smile and held out a hand to help you out. You smiled back at him and took his hand as he lifted you off of the grated floor. “Thanks Distephano. I need help anyway.”
You lift your left hand to rub the back of your head and feel a jab of pain in the process. Taking your hand away from your head, feeling something wet and warm, and looked to see there was blood. That soldier that shoved your earlier must’ve done it much harder and cracked your head open. Distephano winced, as the blood dripped down off your hand. “Let’s get that taken care of before anything else happens around here.” He took out a piece of cloth from one of his pockets and gave it to you to stop the bleeding. Both you and Distephano headed down a deserted corridor, where there were loads of bullet holes and long claw marks along the stretch. “What are you doing all the way down here? I thought you were with the other goddamn cowards trying to get off the ship,” Your own voice was a bit strained when you spoke up. He looked over at you, while still holding up his weapon. “No. I was getting orders to go look for any survivors stranded anywhere else on the ship and bring them back to the mess hall. You’re very lucky I found you while I did. This is going to be the last round I make I do around this level before going back out with backup. I’ll get either Gediman or Wren to look at that for you.” Looking back and you smiled at him.
Distephano was the only soldier you liked amongst the others and the most friendliest too. Both of you help one another on the ship, even when the danger itself is much more serious now. Then the two of you finally made it to the mess hall where a few dozen others are. That included the crew of the Betty, sitting over by the exercise equipment on the far side of the mess hall. One of them was in an automatic wheelchair and you heard that his name was Vriess. The only two doctors that were attending to the wounded were Johnathan Gediman and Mason Wren. One of the survivors had a nasty gash across his bare chest, with blood seeping through newly cleaned bandages and another had half of his head wrapped up and from his right shoulder all the way down to his hand.
“Shit. I still need to keep pressure on him. Gediman find more gauze if there’s any left in other med kits,” spat Wren. Gediman swore heavily under his breath and gave a fist full to Wren. Gediman went back to treating the captain of the Betty, Frank Elgyn. Elgyn had his chest exposed to treat what looked like acid that burned only one layer of his skin. “Docs, I found another one on the upper levels. Just a minor head wound from a fall,” Distephano lowered his weapon as the both of you entered down the several steps of stairs. After Gediman was finished with Elgyn, he came over, taking his very bloody gloves off in the process, and taking you by the right arm. He sat you down towards a cleared off table. Dried blood was staining the steel top from the other wounded survivors.
Six were very well patched up by both Gediman and Wren. Gediman sat behind you with a fresh pair of gloves and a med kit by his side. You liked him the same as Distephano. The only two people that made friends with you on the entire ship. “Alright, let’s take a look at this wound then.” You moved your hand away with the piece of cloth that almost soaked all the blood up. Then you felt his rubber, gloved hands examining the wound on the back of your head. “Doesn't look too bad. Just some stitches and patch it up nicely for you.” Gediman sighed with such relief. After patching you up, he gave a hefty pat on the back, and went back to where Wren was waiting for him. You felt the stitch work pulled against your scalp tightly. At least the blood stopped.
Looking around and seeing half of the security personnel and a few other soldiers got just minor cuts and bruises. “Did you see what happened Privat Terrence on level 8? Half of his guts were pulled out, when that thing bursted through his chest and disappeared into the air ducts.” One soldier with really short dirty blond hair was talking with three others. Out of the three a black soldier, with a bandage over his right eye, nodded his head in agreement with the other one. “Yeah. One of those things popped out one of the vents and grabbed Sergeant Barnes by his ankles and dragged him all the way down, with Barnes screaming his lungs out.” Saying in a very deep voice.
Almost everybody had someone to talk to, except for yourself. Your heart starts to race very rapidly at this point, meaning a panic attack starts to set in. Your heart starts to feel very very heavy, breathing in and out very fast, and cramps form in your stomach. Almost everything and everyone starts to blur out from your vision. You were about to fall over due to the immense pressure putting onto you, until something grabs you by both shoulders. “Hey, are you alright? You don’t look so good.” A soft voice came into view. You looked up to see who it was.
“Take it easy right now. Keep calm and breathe slowly.” You didn’t even recognize who this person was. He had a dark brown buzzcut, hazel brown eyes, hardened features around his face, and rounded frame glasses. A couple of dark grey blankets were wrapped around his slender shoulders. “Here take one. It looks like you really need more than I do at this point,” letting go of your shoulders, taking the top blanket off, and laying it on top of your shoulders now. The blanket that was underneath fell off half way over his left side. This person was wearing a really dark brown zip up jacket. On that side was a small name tag with only six letters stitched onto there: Purvis it read. Then it was coming back. He was one of the civilians that was supposed to go to Xarem in those life pods, but were stolen and were brought aboard this ship sometime later.
As the dizziness faded away at last, you got the chance to ask Purvis, “why are you the only one still here? I thought you were getting off in one of the escape pods,” raising both of your eyebrows. Purvis bit his bottom lip, “ I was going to, but something else had changed that plan for myself and everybody else getting off the ship.” He started to unzip his jacket to a deep colored green shirt underneath and then lifting it up in the process. Both of your eyes widen to see almost a fully healed surgical scar across his chest. But mostly it was covered in gauze bandages which were lifted up to show you.
“Purvis! Why are you up and standing around? Go lie back down, before the bleeding starts again,” Wren looked over to where he was. Purvis glared at him and put both his bandages and shirt back down over his chest. “I had one of those things growing inside of my chest. They removed it just yesterday. Still feel the pain, but goes on and off most of the time.” He flashed you a small smile. You smiled back at Purvis. Something inside of you leapt to life when you saw a much friendlier face among the crowd here. A warmer kind feeling you never felt before in  your entire life. Purvis sat next to you on the table and a sudden jolt went through you.
Purvis looked at you, “don’t let the panic consume you. With everything going on, think of something better to go away from that.” Pulling the blanket closer around your shoulders, making you feel more secure at the moment. Keeping calm and thinking of something else were the only two words he said. Maybe Purvis was right. You thought of when you first met Gediman in the med bay, fixing one of the x-ray machines on your first day on the ship. Distephano showing you combat training and defending yourself. Now meeting somebody new, while all the fucking chaos has been going on. You breathed a sigh of relief after thinking of those two moments and while making on a new moment in the process. Purvis’s smile grew a bit wider and you smiled back.
“You know, if this ever gets over with? You and I can walk off together if we survive this whole ordeal or aftermath,” you chuckled and Purvis did the same. Now you’ve found somebody to call a friend through all of this…...

This is the first character x reader story I’ve written, so please no hateful comments :)
The reason why I chose this character, because I wanted to start off small for the blog and work my way around this guy and other characters I’m gonna be using in the future

hey everyone! so i wanted to compile the episodes for this recent BL series here for anyone who may be interested.
‘gameboys’ is based in the philippines, which is such an incredible step for the country and it makes it all the more important to support them. (when it’s something as high-quality as this, giving support isn’t hard at all.)
the series is about a gamer named cairo who is live-streaming one day when he meets gavreel, a charming, flirtatious guy who claims to be a fan of cai’s. gav asks cai to give him a chance romantically, but they become fairly good friends too as they get to know each other. it’s set during covid, so interactions between characters happen over facetime etc and we get to know them all through social media posts, which is super unique and fun to watch!!
as far as we know, there is going to be a movie after the series as well as a spin-off called ‘pearl next door’ for the iconic side character and gav’s best friend pearl, whose actress said it will be a GL!!!
season one is slated for 13 episodes, so i’ll update this post for you all as the show progresses :)
episode 1 - pass or play?
official summary: cairo is raring for a rematch after his sudden defeat in a popular mobile game. but his opponent gavreel wants something in return.
episode 2 - game of love
official summary: as cairo weighs in on gavreel’s condition for a rematch, he discovers something about his opponent that will taint his trust in him.
episode 3 - strangers online
official summary: gavreel is eager to regain cairo’s trust after a misunderstanding. but Cairo, who is still hurting from what he learned about gavreel, won’t make it easy for him.
episode 4 - one who is victorious
official summary: as gavreel and cairo’s relationship continues to grow further, a part of gavreel’s past will come back to haunt him.
episode 5 - thrill of the chase
official summary: with terrence coming into the picture, cairo starts to question his place in gav’s heart.
episode 6 - secret party
official summary: as cairo contemplates on making up to gavreel, terrence makes his next move.
episode 7 - elephant in the room
official summary: terrence's burning question sends cairo and gavreel into further confusion. will they finally confront the reality of their relationship?
episode 8 - no matter what
official summary: gavreel tries to reach out to cairo who remains elusive and inconsolable after his father's demise. will this tragedy bring them together or pull them apart?
episode 9 - say it with love
official summary: cairo comes into terms with his identity and realizes how deeply he has fallen for gavreel. their longing to be together intensifies as they also try to grapple with the reality of their situation.
episode 10 - pass or play 2
official summary: with his family moving away from the city, cairo decides to finally meet gavreel in person. is this the start or the end of their relationship?
episode 11 - stay strong forever
official summary: now that gav and cairo have met, what will happen next in their relationship?
episode 12 - jealousy in the air
official summary: wesley’s sudden reappearance in cairo’s life makes gavreel question their relationship.
episode 13 - crossing the line (season finale)

Room 73- Chapter 3/8
The ghost is spoken to, but we also see more character trauma. (at least Virgil and Logan are having an okay time)
Pairings: Implied Thomas/OC, implied sibling-y c!Terrence and c!Valerie, sibling-y Analogical, Creativitwins and Moceit, platonic DLAMPR (soon to have a T in it!), and Romantic husbands Remile! (Also married parents but they don’t have names yet)
Read on AO3!
Word count: 2217
Warnings: References to shifty parenting, unhealthy relationships with food, depression, and of course, the general angst that comes with being yanno... dead for about a century with implications of period-typical sexism and the fallout that death has on your loved ones. Stay safe!
Other notes: Hi! I know this is sooner than usual (and also a bit shorter than usual) but I really wanted to get this out early, because there's two other things I'm working on! A c!Thomas-centric number+1 with friends and side interactions, and a Cartoon Therapy oneshot collection (with only cartoon therapy characters! no sides!) that has found family, Dot and Larry VS the internet, and everyone punting mitchell in the face because he deserves it. You can vote for which one you'd like to see posted FIRST on here!
Now, sorry for that wall of text- here’s the chapter!
——————————————————————————–
Thomas didn’t have anything even remotely resembling a clue as to how he just did that. He hasn’t been able to so much as move for decades, now. Almost a century!
(The only reason he still knows the time is because classrooms date the boards. Everett is 96, Val 95, Terrence 87. )
But somehow, somehow these highschool kids around Thomas’s (? do ghost years count?) age managed to hear him hiss, and now he can talk to them.
In the words of that one kid here in the fifties who was usually half seas over, “ fucking shit!”
The one with the glasses (Logan? Or was it Nico? Naw, Logan.) is still tapping on the funny small glowing box. A phone, or something. (It looks too small to be a telephone, and it has no wires, but the future is pretty crazy!) and the other one, Janus is looking at the space that he inhabits like it’s on fire. Whatever else is happening today is happening, but the corner that Thomas lives in is definitely not on fire, that’s for sure.
Janus begins to step forward a bit, towards Thomas (!!!), and attempts to touch him. His hand goes through, like most things do (bar the occasional stray acid droplet, but they don’t burn anymore) and he pulls it back slowly.
Logan clears his throat, looking up from his ‘phone’ and at Thomas.
“Hello.” he says cautiously, not daring to hope. But Thomas can’t get the words out anymore, it’s like the single work took too much out of him to say it back. So he tries hissing in the morse code that Daddy taught him and (and he taught Val, because she’s amazing, woman or not) hoping, hoping they’d figure it out.
.... .. (hi)
Janus looks confused, but Logan lights up immediately, tapping frantically on his ‘phone’, until it shows something with morse code translations written on it.
“Could you possibly repeat that?” asks Logan, and he’s beaming, and that face is now one of the nicest faces he’s seen since he died. So Thomas tries again. It saps a little energy out of him, but not enough to really be an issue. Not like talking.
“Hello there, uh… do you have a name?”
- .... --- -- .- ... (Thomas)
“Thomas. That’s a nice name. Is it alright if we ask what year you ar- were from?” That question was unexpected, but one Thomas was willing to answer.
.---- ----. ..--- --... (1927)
“Nineteen twenty-seven”. Huh. Wasn’t this part of town a boy’s military school at some point back then?” asks Logan, and Thomas hisses again to signify the yes. He was a student there, under Pop’s behest, while Val stayed home to get ready for being married, even though she was all of eight years old and barely old enough to start her midwife training with basic first aid.
He wonders if she ever got to join the Red Cross like she’d dreamed to do. He hopes so.
Logan’s still asking questions, but Thomas is getting tired again, and the extra clarity letting him reminisce about his family is not helping at all. He makes a series of somewhat weaker clicks, trying to convey he’s tired, and Janus seems to pick up on it, patting Logan on the shoulder and motioning at the door for them to leave, citing a ‘Virgil and Patton’ (brothers?) as a reason to go soon, anyways. Logan huffs a bit, though clearly as a jest, and they say their goodbyes, probaby, based on their hand movements, but by now, Thomas has faded enough to lose a bit of track.
“Hey, Val.”
'___'
“Yeah, this is a gravestone. Didn’t expect you to reply. Well, I was always the talkative one before,a dn I can do it again.”
'___'
“So uh, Hey! It’s me again, Terrence, coming with the daisies as usual. I can’t believe that it’s me doing this, ya doof. It was supposed to be you, Val.”
'___'
“Yeah, I guess I should go back soon. Everett’s cold isn’t getting better, nor worse. I wonder what you’d do.”
'___'
“Yes, love you too. I hope you, Barry and Linda are doing alright up there. We’ll… probably see you soon anyways.”
'___'
“Hey- tell Thomas we said hello, and that we still miss him. All the time. Eighty years should be long enough, but it really isn’t, is it?”
(Tommy isn’t here.) …
“Okay, so you’re saying that the ghost, a literal ass ghost--”
“Language!” chirped Patton. It was starting to become routine. “Sorry Pat but okay, so a ghost talked to you over morse code??!!” Exclaimed Virgil, his tone getting more and more excited by the syllable.
“Yes, I literally just said that Virgil.” huffs Logan, pressing his knuckles to his temple. He loves his twin, but times like this really test his (already dwindling) patience with shenanigans.
“Okay, so what did he tell you??” asks Virgil, looking almost starry-eyes with the sheer level of excitement. It’s been a while since Virgil was this excited about something.
Logan clears his throat and taps Janus’s shoulder, taking him away from something he was talking about with Patton, which was involving hushed voices of some sort. Janus extracts the notebook from one of the many, many button-up pockets in his cloak (Patton is good at economical design, whie Janus handles the drama), after scrambling around for a few seconds trying to locate first the book, then the page, handing it to him very quickly before jumping right back into his conversation with Patton. Logan is mildly perturbed by this action, but tries to ‘roll with it’, as Roman would say if he took the bus.
“His name is Thomas, or at least we’re relatively sure that he’s a he, and he died in nineteen-twenty-seven. He was a student here back when the plot of land that is now Haley-Dove lower and upper secondary was a boy’s military school. He began to exhaust himself around here, so we dropped the questions.” Virgil nods, perusing the notes, scribbly as they are that Logan’s made as if they were a short story written by an author he really respects, like Leigh Bardugo, possibly. It makes Logan oddly happy to think about it that way. Virgil’s eyes keep widening over the course of his reading, to levels that are almost comical. Janus and Patton’s conversation has gotten a bit louder, but not enough to hear, still. At the moment, he can’t really bring himself to care. In the end, the bus stops before Virgil can finish reading, so Logan gives him the navy-covered notebook to keep for now and return for dinner, with the instruction to add in his own commentary and ideas on a different page.
Patton and Janus leave the bus last out of everyone, looking rather perturbed and avoiding each other’s gaze, though they’re still clutching each other’s hands tightly. Logan will likely ask what happened on Monday. For now, Amma is at the bus stop, waving at them. She’s the only Indian woman on the stop, so, decently easy to see. Amma picks up Logan’s bag, even though he’s insisted for years that he’s “adjusted accordingly for years, and does not require any assistance!”. Amma usually just retaliates that he shouldn’t need to get used to something with a rather strange expression, but he’s digressing now.
(She started saying it after middle school, and everything that happened there.)
“Hi!” she exclaims, while taking Logan’s bag. Virgil just has his laptop bag and notebook, with his headphones around his neck. They both smile the same.
“Hey, Amma. How’re you doing?” Practiced. Synced. It works every time, as Amma’s grin gets even wider, causing Virgil to start stimming with his ring and Logan to start flapping his own hands.
“Sooo- how’s your day? I see Logan’s notebook with you, V!”
“It’s for a…” Virgil looks at Logan, quietly betraying the fact that he has no clue what to say. Logan indicates to the lizard along the cobblestone path, and his twin’s expression changes into dawning comprehension, as he quickly finishes his sentence.
“It’s for a report on Lizards, Amma, that I’m doing with Remus. You know, Roman’s brother?” she nods, and then smirks.
“Oh, you mean the boy you have a cruuuuuusssshhhh on?” she teases, and Virgil goes red immediately, batting her hand away from his hair, where she was ruffling it.
Wait- how did Virgil have a crush on Roman? They had been friends for all of two weeks, and did not display any crush-like symptoms such as reddening of face, gushing about the crush for hours or purposely trying to get into more situations with the crush, or even doing simple things like taking an obnoxiously long time on singular texts. To his relief, Virgil shakes his head.
“No, it’s not a crush. He’s a good friend, but no.” he says, a bit more seriously, but not dismissively. To Logan, because Logan can hear those things, he says “Not yet.” Logan does not bring it up yet, because it feels like Virgil might need some process time for that, and besides, they share a room. Logan can grill him later, when Virgil is willing to be teased lightly. Or well, he hopes he’s light enough.
Mom and Dad are fighting again.
It’s not like the walls are soundproof, no matter what they seem to think. The argument is pretty typical. Small issue begins with civil conversation, becomes slight aggression as two very different people are unable to see eye to eye, and then someone in the middle of a bout of particularly aggressive mood makes an attack on personality, and then it’s all ‘fuck off’’s and crying.
Yeah. it’s a thing. But Remus and Roman know what to do- it’s the fight law. Headphones on, loud playlist on, door shut and internet in full use to avoid the fact that their parents are incapable of shutting the fuck up. This is fine.
Actually no, that’s what Roman says, but Remus knows it isn’t. Roman’s just too scared of conflict by now to bring it up. And who’s fault might that be, huh? (okay, so maybe Remus is a bit resentful.)
Whatever. It’s not like they’ll stop if he and Roman tell them. They’ve tried before.
The problem is that they’re good people. And parents. They definitely try to be the best parents possible. But Remus (unlike Roman) has never had the illusion that his parents are gods, only to have that slowly broken down over time to see his parents as people. They’ve always been people to him- people who try their hardest, but also fall flat in other areas, areas that also happen to be important.
But he should probably make his way to the kitchen to make some fruit salad. Roman probably isn’t going to eat anything else tonight, with how he seems to be doing. Otherwise, those stomach acids are going to gargle and gurgle till they consume his stomach whole! (it doesn’t feel fun to imagine that, so he stops)
(he’s so angry that those idiots thought it was a fucking joke. It’s something he and Virgil agree on, for sure.)
And if Remus tears the granola packet wrapper a little too harshly? Well, it’s not like anyone’s going to hear it at this rate.
Patton and Janus aren’t talking to each other, which is probably the one thing he never expected from them.
But they aren’t, and it’s becoming more concerning by the hour. They’re still hanging out together, currently working on one of their sewing projects- embroidering a hoodie in protection sigils as a paid commission for the witch’s girl, and they seem okay in each other’s presence, but they aren’t talking to each other. Just making overly meaningful eye contact, and looking away as quickly as they met eyes.
Patton in particular seems to be pretty upset, as a marked difference from his usual demeanor. He’s pricking his fingers left and right, something that never usually happens, choosing to hand stitch rather than go ahead with the sewing machine that he got for christmas, which was being used by Janus for the moment. In fact, Emile was about to get him some bandaids when he overheard them speak to each other for the first time since they got back.
“Pat, you can’t keep it in forever. You can't. It’ll kill you.”
Patton isn’t replying.
“It almost killed me, Pat please, please just… say something.” Patton does say something after that, but Emile can’t hear it, and he doesn’t feel like it’s something he’s meant to hear anyway. Janus lightens up after that, and Patton starts talking again, monosyllabically and softly, but Janus seems so relieved, that that must be a good thing.
Emile goes, heart heavy, and decides to speak with Remy about the best ways to show that they’re there for Janus and Patton. They’ve only been living with him for a few months, but they feel like their kids, and Emile (and definitely Remy- he’s the ultimate parent-friend) wants the best for them, and for them to be happy. They didn’t deserve the lot they got.
Hopefully, he and Remy can prove that yes, some things are

Episode 175
Honorable mentions:
The news report that one student was trying to turn into Isen was titled, “Retaliation Against Jokers”
The two definitions of “hunter” are: 1. a person (or animal) who hunts game or other wild animals for food or in sport. 2. a person who searches for or seeks something.
Wasn’t expecting so much on Isen, but now here we are
Claire’s instagram actually exists @little_apple7 and the first post was created on March 14, so you can go follow her if you want haha
Blyke already knows that Isen likes to look at girls from other schools, I don’t know why Isen’s hiding Claire from him smh…
I'm so hyper right now jesus christ
I wanted these posts to be getting shorter smh
Wait-- do Arlo and Sera know about when the superhero posse became the superhero posse? Lmao
The fact that all Seraphina knew about Claire was her name and her town, and that Isen was able to find her ilffkjkeajsfgdsf
DOES ANYONE KNOW THAT JOHN IS A YEAR OLDER THAN EVERYONE IN HIS GRADE OR ARE THEY GONNA FIND OUT WHEN CLAIRE SHOWS UP it’s not that big of a deal i'm just interested
Not proofreading so hopefully I didn’t cut myself off mid-sentence anywhere rip
Isen:
There’s actually a few things on my mind this week when it comes to Isen. First of all is his reluctance to be involved, which isn’t new and is actually something I’ve talked about before, but oh well. The second is his ability. I have also mentioned this before, but Isen’s ability has always seemed pretty vague to me, which is surprising considering that he’s one of the main characters and we’ve seen it a good amount of times.
Anyway: his reluctance to be involved with any of the hierarchy drama. Isen is, at this point, notorious for wanting nothing to do with Arlo and his drama. Though he’s being more straight-forward with this currently, Isen has always displayed this. At the beginning of the comic, Isen was hesitant about investigating John for Arlo. And there was also that time when Arlo made Isen head of the newspaper, despite Isen not wanting the job. Also when Remi became a superhero, Isen was kind of dragged along and resisted participating (kind of weird example if I’m honest). These are some quick examples, but there are more. I’m just kind of lazy tbh. Anyway, recently, Isen has been vocalizing his discomfort even more. The best example of that is probably episode 164 where Isen directly calls Arlo out for not only involving Isen in things he wants nothing to do with, but also for involving others. I talk about the nature of that conversation, and how it highlights the character differences in Isen and Arlo, in my episode analysis for episode 164. Anyway, Isen has a big issue with this and explains this to Arlo.
This theme of wanting to be left out of drama isn’t exactly specific to Isen, though. It’s a pretty common theme for people to be pissed off because they’re being forced into situations, usually by Arlo. Seraphina experienced this a little near the beginning of the comic when Arlo brought her along to turf wars even though at that point she’d stepped down from being queen. Elaine tends to experience this often, as well, though not exclusively with Arlo, whenever she is involved because of her healing ability. The big example is actually John, however. John has stressed many times that he just wanted to be left out of the hierarchy to all of the other characters, especially Arlo. This is his “reason” for taking down the school’s hierarchy. John didn’t want anything to do with the hierarchy, but when he couldn’t stay apart from it any longer, his remaining option to not be a part of the hierarchy was to destroy it.
My point is, that if Arlo keeps forcing people into situations and responsibilities that they either don’t want or aren’t ready for, he’s going to have a real issue on his hands, like what happened with John. He does realize this, however, which we found out after he was dethroned and was reflecting on his interactions with John. Regarding Isen, I think that there’s a possibility Isen will either fail Arlo or turn on him (hopefully teaming up with Cecile, but we’ll keep our fingers crossed for that one). Isen’s been too vocal about his dislike of being involved with things (wording?) to continue to go along with it. Even though he is a very temperate character and doesn’t usually act up, I don’t think this trait alone will solidify his loyalty to Arlo. That also wouldn’t be utilizing his character’s potential in the current storyline, and the plot is probably the most detailed and worked on aspect of UnOrdinary. The thing about all of this is, Arlo can’t exactly just leave people alone when they want to be left alone because all of his decisions are made on the behalf of the school and if he can secure the school’s well-being at the expense of putting more pressure on a singular person, he’s obviously going to do that. This is what makes Arlo’s situation so complicated. There is no “correct” answer. Arlo is involving Isen because he needs his expertise to investigate characters like John and now Terrence. Nobody else would be as effective as Isen, which is why Arlo turns to Isen. There isn’t any way for Arlo to totally win.
Anyway, like I said, I think that Isen will reach his breaking point relatively soon and Arlo is going to suffer from that. Whether it’s betrayal or not. This idea of forced involvement really involves both of these characters so any changes in their dynamic as it is right now will really affect the storyline, I think. We’ll just have to look out for this, however.
Their dynamic in this episode, though, is a bit too comedic to support any type of breaking point between the two, which makes me uneasy.
Now, let’s move on to the second topic of Isen’s section: his ability. Isen’s ability “Hunter” is one of my personal favorites. Mimicking a “hunter,” Isen has a set of skills that help him to track down and take down his targets. The list of skills is listed on the UnOrdinary Wiki as follows:
Targeting
X-Ray Vision (involving people) (aka when Isen detects location/heartbeat)
Enhanced Strength
Enhanced Speed
Telescopic Vision (Passive (?))
Enhanced Precision (similar to Targeting)
Enhanced Hearing
These are more of defensive traits, so here’s a bit of description on his offensive ability from me:
Built-up/wound-up punch: “He builds up his power into one punch, which, when let loose, is appallingly effective. His ability probably multiplies the force of his initial build-up, releasing when Isen’s fist hits his target.” -(my episode analysis of episode 126)
Visible “Target” on opponent: (Targeting from above, but used in a more offensive way)
“Isen’s general fighting style is a one-hit K.O. system. He attacks them with the strong attack, leaving his opponent weak, then rushes in for the “kill,” a kind of animalistic instinct… His method doesn’t require much strategy or stamina. It is efficient and precise. Strike to take down.” -(my analysis for ep 126)
Isen’s offensive is strong enough to hold up in a fight against Blyke (before Blyke started to level up) because in one of the first episodes, they have an ongoing battle over Isen’s pen that neither wins. This puts Isen’s offensive at relatively high (because Joker’s obvious power advantage didn’t really show this off when Isen and John fought)
Anyway, there’s the base of Isen’s power and kind of what we already know about it. But in this episode, we get to see it again, like I said before, it’s always kind of fascinating to me whenever we get to see Isen’s power. His is one of the more interesting ones in the comic by far. It’s animalistic nature paired with human mechanics creates an interesting blend that we don’t see in any other character really. The idea of Isen’s power is so alluring to me for some reason. I don’t know. I’m not really going anywhere with this lmao. Anyway, we learned a few things about Isen’s ability in this episode that we didn’t know before.
One: Isen does not have the passive ability to sense people/auras like John is theorized to have (this isn’t canon, right?). This isn’t anything surprising seeing as John’s ability is literally called Aura Manipulation, but it’s pretty exaggerated in this episode that Isen really needs to activate his ability to be able to sense people, even having to close his eyes, but the eyes part might be more about the execution of his ability, which is my third thing.
Two: Isen can sense people!! Lol this might seem a bit redundant after my last point, but this is something new from him that I haven’t really noticed before even though we’ve technically seen it before. In episode 124, near the end of the episode, we have a scene where Isen is running around the school scanning through walls and people looking for Seraphina. He is technically “sensing” people and is even able to identify them as not Seraphina, so obviously he has some way to distinguish people. This makes Isen almost like a walking Marauders' Map, for lack of a better explanation. I’m not really sure how to go deeper into this because I’ve never really been all that confident in talking about the UnOrdinary Characters’ powers, so I’ll just leave it here that I think Isen being able to sense/find people is really cool.
Three: Echolocation. This is something really new to this episode. In episode 175 (this episode lol), Isen is shown mentally standing in a black void/abyss along with Sera and Arlo with puddles like ripples around each character’s feet, when he activates his power to try to sense anyone else in the room. This visual is very similar to how bats, and other animals, use echolocation to “see.” Echolocation is, “the location of objects by reflected sound, in particular that used by animals such as dolphins and bats,” according to the Oxford dictionary. If Isen is truly using echolocation, then he locates people by soundwaves, which would make sense considering that sound seems to be the thing Isen is usually shown to be involved with (wording was bad but idc). I do think that this detail is a bit weak in comparison to echolocation because there have been times where Isen has sensed/tracked people where it would have been difficult to rely upon sound, like the school or the mall, but if his hearing is really that enhanced, it could still work. I’m also up for looking for things besides sound that Isen could be sensing with his ripple thing. I know I labeled this as echolocation, but it’s very possible he uses a more supernatural trait to utilize these. I just liked the idea of Isen having echolocation if I’m honest. I found this whole concept interesting because of the animal ties and Isen’s ability being named “Hunter.” I also might be tempted to look into bats specifically in the future if we get more details on Isen’s ability that make it worthwhile. I want to compare the two, but not if it’s unprompted.
    Terrence:
We get some new information about Terrence in this episode and it is as follows:
Isen would put Terrence around a 2.4 ability-wise
Terrence only started attending Wellston at the beginning of the year
Along with this, we also get some less straight-forward, but just as meaningful, information. Isen says, “So the invisible guy at the mall… That was him too?!” which from a storytelling standpoint basically confirms that it was in fact him. This quote would not be included if it were not correct because it would only add confusion if it were incorrect (which is its possible intent, but I’ll talk about that in a second). Another quote from this episode was Arlo’s quote, “Then he, or whoever he’s working for… has some sort of fixation on hightiers.” Because of the same reasoning from above, this basically confirms that Terrence is working for somebody or else it would be a very random thing for uru-chan to include in the comic especially since there is no evidence for the characters to even suspect that Terrence is working for somebody. Same thing with Sera’s quote, “I’m almost certain that… Terrence is connected to my ability-loss.”
But, like I said, there is a possibility this is all a juke by uru-chan to get us to believe these things so she can successfully trick us and reveal that Terrence has been fighting EMBER this whole time or some shit, but I don’t think that is likely because if that were true, I feel uru-chan would have stressed this Terrence and EMBER connection even more than she has already. But this is still a possibility, though I will be ignoring it in this post. Because that would be just awful.
Anyway, now that that’s all out of the way and we are caught up, I don’t want to waste my time talking specifically about these things because they’re either too small of details or I’m not getting inspired because of them. The only interesting thing that we really learn this episode is that Terrence transferred to Wellston at the beginning of this school year (which is around when the first episode takes place), but I’m not sure what to think about that so I’m going to give it a week or two before discussing that. The rest is either unimportant or we basically already knew (or at least suspected).
What I am going to talk about is Terrence’s involvement with EMBER and my thoughts on it. I’ve been pretty clear in the past when I say that I think that Terrence is part of EMBER. I’ve made whole posts on this, okay? I think. I don’t know. It feels like I have.
Anyway, I’ve talked about this a little in the UnOrdinary chat here on tumblr, so come join if you haven’t. But basically, I think that Terrence works under EMBER to some extent, or however that would work, but on a lower-tier. He’s a lesser employee, I guess. I don’t really know how to phrase this, though it should be easy. I think that Terrence works at a level low enough where he is not directly being made aware of EMBER’s true intentions or actions, and that he’s probably been given some bullshit reason for the jobs he’s done that makes it seem to him like he is doing a good thing. EMBER might be really convincing too and have him thinking that the things EMBER is actually doing are good. Whatever it is, I think that Terrence thinks he is doing the right thing. This could be his incentive for working with them, though I like the thought that Terrence wants some of EMBER’s ability enhancers for either himself or someone he knows, because that has more potential as a motive.
So, I just said that the things mentioned in this episode are basically confirmed because of their mention, so I’m going to use them as examples of what Terrence has done under EMBER. The same goes for when, in episode 172, Seraphina thinks, “Invisibility? That day, on our way back from Kovoro Mall… the person following us also had invisibility. Is this just a coincidence?” That’s part of this for the same reasons.
I think Terrence’s main job is to spy on whoever he is told, but that from time to time, he is also required to do some other small jobs like being a lookout or the get-away car person (I don’t know what it’s called). He’s spied on John and Sera on their way back from the mall, he’s spied on the main characters in hallways at schools, etc. And he was the driver with the superhero posse’s mall incident.
Something brought up by the UnOrdinary chat was that Terrence would solve the problem of EMBER having to give out teddy bears to track high-tiers, but I think that giving Terrence the task of tracking the high-tiers at school would be way less efficient than direct trackers. Also, you don’t really want to rely upon a second-year in highschool for your entire scheme, now would you. So that’s why I think EMBER doesn’t use him to find high-tiers. Also, Terrence only has access to Wellston’s students, which is a very small pool compared to the literal rest of the world.
The only thing that I can’t exactly figure out is Terrence’s connection with the school newspaper. The best thing I could come up with was that Vaughn, the principal or whoever he is, is working for EMBER and is giving Terrence instructions on what to do, but that doesn’t make sense when you take into account that Vaughn hates the authorities and EMBER are probably working with or even are the authorities. Shame, though, this would’ve been interesting. Terrence does, however, go out of his way to publish his stories in the school newspaper, which needs an explanation… This makes me think that EMBER as an organization are focusing on Wellston specifically. Maybe because they know about John’s history and want to see what he would do to Wellston (which is another thing that could be a possible connection to Vaughn and why he’s so lenient about John’s actions). They might be using Terrence as a way to fuel/spark any conflicts or climaxes. There’s also the interesting detail that ever since Isen became the head of the newspaper, Terrence hasn’t submitted anything that big, at least according to Isen in this episode.
Anyways, I think that Terrence’s presence in the comic is a very big deal because it is the most direct connection to EMBER and their activities. Terrence, himself, might not play the biggest part, but he is a way for the other characters to dive into EMBER themselves, and a way for the audience to be reminded of the big, underlying plotline.
Claire:
Claire’s mention in this episode is one of the highlights to most people. And to me. I am most people. God, I love Claire. In 2018, the only two comments I made on UnOrdinary were, “Petition to transfer Claire to Wellston for drama,” and, “#TRANSFERCLAIRETOWELLSTON.” So, just the fact that we’re getting Claire is just blowing my mind right now. Obviously, I know she's not transfering, but I don’t care. We’re getting Claire. And I am screaming.
Anyway, we’re getting Claire interaction between Seraphina and Claire, which is not only very entertaining, but interesting considering how similar their experiences with John were. This is actually why Seraphina is reaching out to Claire. Seraphina is going into this interaction with the knowledge that John accidently views her as this person, which is bound to make an interesting dynamic between Claire and Sera. And dynamic. Is. Everything. Anyways, I don’t really have an analysis for this, but I want to make a bunch of kinda predictions because I feel like that’s all I can do.
I don’t think that Claire is going to want to talk to Seraphina at first, because she obviously wants to leave that part of her past behind. But they do eventually have to talk to each other so-- I think that Claire is going to be very serious towards Seraphina when explaining to her everything about John. This is why I think they will meet up in person right away, despite them having the option of texting and despite Claire living far away. Something else I’m excited for is all of the new things we’re going to learn about John. I think that Claire is going to be very interested to hear about how John became a cripple for about a year, because that’s just something I think Claire would find hard to believe. I’m interested in seeing what Claire knows about John’s dad and what their relationship is. I don’t know, just--John’s dad has gone for too long, especially considering what happened recently. Anyway, I think that Claire and Sera are going to end up as good friends. Either that or they’re going to hate each other, which would be amusing, but kind of unlikely. The thing about all of this is that we literally don’t know anything about Claire’s personality and what happened to her after John. She is unknown to us.
I also think that Adrion is going to play a big part in the comic as well, because his presence was focused on along with Claire’s a lot. Adrion was in, I think, every photo shown of Claire and John (in this episode). We also don’t know a whole lot about him, which is unusual because you would expect that we would at least know his ability, but we don’t. We know the abilities of almost every minor character, but Adrion is a recurring and important character. This is why I think he’s going to show up, and why I think he’s going to be different than he seems. Like, maybe he’ll be introduced to Seraphina as all friendly and stuff, but then we find out that he’s evil. I don’t know. I just like stuff like that.
This section is hella short for the topic it’s on, but because I don’t have much to add to this Claire thing and also that my feelings have kind of numbed out during the past week (because this is being written/posted really late), I don’t know what else to add. I’m just really excited and it’s hard to get your thoughts together about something you're really excited about. I don’t think we’ll get any interactions with her in the next episode, but the one after seems likely to me.

hey on your post about the cut iron man scenes confirming rhodey is gay- i don’t understand how it would’ve confirmed it? no hate bc gay rhodey is >>>> but i’m just stupid and don’t understand it, especially that end scene with the guns and stuff?? would you be able to explain it?? :’)
ok so, i wanna make something clear, evidently, because like 50% of those posts are sorta shit-posting: the only actual confirmation of rhodey being gay would be to have him say literally “i’m gay” or “i like guys” or just have him date another man or someone say something like ‘hows your boyfriend?’ or whatevs (hell, i’d even take rhodey dropping a ‘he’ pronoun, idc). that obviously hasnt happened so, whatevs.
now in the realm of subtext, i feel like there’s a lot about rhodey’s character to take in consideration. the post you mention included (tho, we can argue the canonicity of it since those are scenes that didn’t make the final cut).
first, we have the fact that rhodey is one the most sexually ambiguous character in the mcu. we’ve never seen rhodey being engaged in flirting with any female character, not even something slightly suggestive that he might be interested in anyone (granted, i guess the same thing can be said about male character which would have us discussing the possibility of an asexual rhodey, but, well, his interactions with tony are my next point) – the only time we’ve seen rhodey dealing with female characters in a sexual/romantic manner was IM1 prelude comics & that one (1) shot of rhodey sorta oggling the lady standing next to tony at the casino scene of IM1. other than that, nothing, zero. (even rhodey’s reaction to carol’s “good luck” quote was ambiguous)
now, further on the subtextual aspect, although marvel has written rhodey as being ambiguous where interpersonal romantic/sexual relationships are involved, they also have made jokes & puns about rhodey being with guys or just basically had moments of rhodey just not being interested in the attractive women surrounding him:
the first thing to come to mind is obviously, tony’s quote about rhodey “guessing wrong” (which yes, it reeks transphobia, but statement still stands) in spring break of ‘87. “that lovely lady [rhodey] woke up to, what was his name? Was it Ivan?” – Rhodey tells Tony to stop because ‘they’ll believe that’ (sortof back-hand denying the whole thing, textually) – BUT it’s important to note that DADT policy was still a thing then so it makes sense for Rhodey to try to deny that in front of fellow airmen on an air force base)
then theres another innuendo about rhodey & guys/dicks that happens actually before this scene: rhodey finds tony at the casino & comes over to him & tony asks him to give him “a little something” as he points his dice to him to which rhodey goes, serious, “I don’t blow on a man’s dice”
then there’s tony telling rhodey “if we survive this, i’ll hold your own” & rhodey replying “you had to make it weird” (again, this can count as a no-homo reply or whatever but it’s still a comment)
not to mention tony telling rhodey “you have a big gun you are not the big gun”, which is another dick innuendo since we’re introduced to Rhodey’s big gun with Hammer saying “let me tell you something, size does matter”
ALSO in the iron man 2 novelization, which i’m not sure counts as mcu canon but some people count novelizations as canon, tony makes a comment to rhode about how he “needs a boyfriend”.
AND then, there’s those deleted scenes (& even the actual scene that made the final cut) i put in the post you mention. which brings me back to answering your question on what i meant it confirms rhodey’s gay: there’s an aspect of those two scenes that i find sorta telling: rhodey isn’t actively interested in any of those women. in both the deleted scene & the actual scene of the air-plane, rhodey’s invested in talking to tony about the importance of the air force as a support system & about how he [tony] is a good man. in the deleted scene, rhodey actually comes to notice the girl’s presence going all ‘oh’. & then when being approached by two of them --- i’m not sure if it’s a thing of terrence’s acting or an active script decision -- he doesn’t look exactly engaged only a little chipper due to his drunken state. he even goes to joke about guns to them & im puzzled between reading that as rhodey being gay or just a big ass nerd that has no idea how to flirt with women (i mean, im not ruling out the second option either, i love my some nerd rhodey).  in the actual scene that made the cut, rhodey doesn’t even address the ladies: tony tells him “would you excuse me if i’m a little distracted here?” & rhodey interrupts him yelling, drunk, “no! you cant be distracted right now!”
in the second scene i put in that post (later on, as a reblog), kind of the same thing happens again, this time in IM2, at tony’s birthday party: tony has a conventionally attractive girl in a short dress flying above him with his tech, rhodey comes over & the scene could’ve had rhodey trying to subtly oggle the girl (like he did in the second-long shot of IM1) but instead it has him unbothered by her & just annoyed at the situation.
even taking from behind the scenes aspects i got material because don cheadle has talked about a lot of rhodey things in interviews since he’s played him since 2010 & he never once has made a comment about rhodey being romantically involved with anyone -- except in one interview during the CW press tour, where he said, jokingly i presume, that rhodey “has a crush on clint”. tho, he did call brie ‘darling’ a few months ago on twitter.
now, what i mean with all of this is: there’s a somewhat solid foundation for them to make rhodey canonically gay in the mcu, if only proven by the fact that he’s almost the only secondary male character that’s never actually been shown to have an interest in female characters (not even extras) -- not to say that they cant have a character whos been previously shown as “straight” suddenly be gay bc i believe anybody can be gay at any given time of their lives but yk, i feel like rhodey is one of the top easiest choices

7. A canon ship you hate: Are there really canon ships...? Fitzgerald and Zelda is really the only canon one, and while I have zero prob with it, I guess the only bad thing is that my friends can't bring themselves up to admit they like Fitz LOL, but that's not hatred it's just funny... Oh but you know something? I’ll always hate Percabeth. And Amethyst Ocean (Sam x Danny) from Danny Phantom -_-
8. A ship you’ve shipped for years: For years... Like more than three...?
