It's Been Nearly A Year

since I've been on this blog; oh how the time flies. I think I technically had another blog linked to another account but I truly cannot remember. This past year has been an absolute haze up until one month ago. I snapped back to reality it feels. The past year doesn't feel real. I reread my last post about the last guy and the pain I feel no longer sprouts from him in the same way. Now, I just want to hold one year ago me and tell me how alright it will be. It has taken SO much processing. So much healing. So much growing. I am not the same me I was one year ago.

I am so much more hopeful. I don't have all the answers. I don't know that I want all the answers. I'm just glad to have direction, purpose.

I've got this. For the first time that I can recall, I can say I've got this and fully trust that I do. I'm building such a better support system. Much better communication skills. Learning so much more about how to take care of me and I am so grateful.

"What the fuck are you eating?" Tim asked, squinting at the monitor.

"A rice cake with nutella on it," you answer, unmuting your mic to answer after you finish your bite.

Tim crinkled his nose, "What, you wanted to eat styrofoam with chocolate on it?"

"Listen. I don't judge you for drinking day-old coffee, let me eat my weird snacks, Timothy."

"Fair enough," he snorted, going back to his game while you finished your snack. He was just glad you were eating. Some of your pain management medication upset your stomach and with more pain can more meds which became more stomach problems. Even on camera, he could tell you'd lost weight and it bothered him.

When you finish your snack and curl up in the chair, watching him play with your mic unmuted, Tim takes a deep breath. "So. I talked to Bruce-"

"About what, Timmy?" you asked.

"I was thinking I might come to visit?" he said. "Maybe we could hang out."

"But what about-"

"Y/N I don't wanna run a marathon with you. I wanna lay on your couch and watch movies. Maybe play some video games. A sleepover you know? Like we always wanted." He looks up at your camera and when you smile softly, he feels his cheeks heat.

"I'd like that," you answer, "It's been... lonely, living by myself."

"I know," he said, "I'm worried about that too... You working nights and living alone. Y/N what if something happens?

"Someone at school would notice," you point out. "I have friends that aren't you."

"I know," he sighed. "I just- you've been dozing off on me. That usually means you're exhauster and-"

"When did you want to visit?" you ask smiling. Distracting him.

"New years?" he suggested. He'd never had a New Years kiss before and he figured now was as good a time as any.

hi im shiloh !!! i have a traumatic brain injury that possibly causes my schizophrenia + bipolar disorder , and i also deal with chronic hand tremors , memory loss , balance issues / dyspraxia(?) , and other stuff :)

i also have rheumatoid arthritis + autism + a laundry list of other stuff . id be happy to talk about symptoms / complain or anything else :3

hiii tysm!! literally forgot i have hand tremors as well lol, directed movements are just difficult for me all around. i’ve been really struggling to find like, practical advice / crip hacks rather than just “talk to your doctor” like lmao they don’t know wtf to do.

i am still sort of trying to get a feel for where my memory loss & cognitive issues are at (i’ve got what’s classified as “subjective cognitive impairment” bc i still pass the mild cognitive impairment assessment but can tell things are Worse from my own baseline) & dealing with the internalized ableism of like. am i faking this, am i exaggerating, is it due to how much fucking weed i do lol, blah blah blah.
