“Itachi, wait.”

He pauses, but doesn’t turn. You weren’t sure what you wanted to say, but you knew you had to say something. This wasn’t the Itachi you knew. This wasn’t your Itachi.

“Before you leave, will you please just tell me why? Why did you join the Akatsuki? Why did you leave the Leaf? Why did you leave me?” Your voice cracks on the last word as you feel tears prick at your eyes. He stiffens but still doesn’t turn. “What happened to you, Itachi?”

You see his head incline ever so slightly and he responds, “You wouldn’t understand.”

“Then help me understand! Please Itachi. I want to understand.” Your eyes were wet but you clenched your jaw to prevent them from spilling over. It wasn’t so much sadness that you felt as it was the tearing open of old wounds caused by his betrayal.

It just wasn’t like him.

You remembered when you were both freshly jonin and you had been inseparable. From your academy years, to your genin teams, to ANBU missions, you were always together. He seemed perfect: he was kind and polite, intelligent, had a strong sense of duty, and was incredibly handsome. He was the type of person to bring your mother flowers and help your father when he needed it, even when you were just kids. His family liked you, with even Fugaku Uchiha nodding his head in approval when Itachi had first introduced you as his comrade and friend. A part of you hoped that you’d grow old together.

It was perfect.

Until that night.

The night he had inexplicably massacred his entire clan. The night he fled the village and joined the Akatsuki. The night you lost him. You’d been questioned by the Hokage and your fellow ANBU, but you were in complete shock. He hadn’t acted differently or said anything or alluded to it at all. There was no way Itachi had done this. It had to be some kind of mistake, or sick joke, or fever dream, or, or…

But then he was declared a rogue nin and he was gone.

You tried to move on. You really did. It started with throwing yourself into your work and taking any available mission that came your way. You told yourself it was so you could make enough money to support yourself and your family, but inside you knew it was so you wouldn’t have time to think of him. Years passed and you told yourself you’d forget about him and never look back.

And you had.

Yet here you stood, staring at his back shrouded in black and red clouds, trying to tell yourself that this wasn’t happening. That this wasn’t real. That he wasn’t real.

Your delusion broke when he finally turned around and approached you. The Itachi you knew was full of light and color, radiating serenity with each smile, but the man that faced you now was pale, detached, and impassive. He was still as beautiful as you remembered, though now it was as if he were carved from stone rather than a beautifully painted masterpiece.

Realizing he wouldn’t answer your questions from before, you tried another approach. “Stay here with me. At least for a little while. Please. We can talk about this.” Your heart breaks and the first round of tears finally falls as he breaks eye contact in a way you recognize as remorse. A moment passes. “Sasuke still loves you.” His eyes darted back up to yours. “He won’t admit it, but I can see it in the way he trains, in his passion for finding you. He may say he hates you, but I know there’s a part of him that just can’t hate his brother.”

Itachi sighed and looked away again. “He never was very good at hiding his emotions.” The early dawn sunlight began to peek through the window to illuminate his face and, so briefly you thought perhaps you’d imagined it, you saw a spark of his past self illuminate as his eyes met yours. “Thank you for keeping an eye on him in my absence.”

You cautiously reached out to move his hair out of his face and felt how clammy his skin was. “Itachi, what happened to you?”

Taking a better look at him, you realized how worn down he looked. His breathing was labored, his skin pale and clammy, and his eyes exhausted. He turned to cough and you saw fresh blood on his sleeve.

“Itachi,” you tried again, concern filling your voice as you realized how sick he was. “Please stay. We can talk to the Hokage and get you treatment or- or I could leave with you,” you begged with an obvious hitch in your voice. “Please. We can leave now and-”

“No,” he cut you off. “Y/n, your place is here in the Leaf.”

“You’ll die if you continue on like this,” you pleaded.

“I know.” He stared at you for a long minute, as if memorizing your form. There was such sadness and devotion in his gaze, you almost wanted to look away but you forced yourself to maintain eye contact. “I just wanted to see you one last time.”

His left hand came up to gently grip your jaw and he leaned in until his lips pressed to yours. For a moment, you were too in shock to respond, but as he started to pull away you gathered yourself enough to tangle your fingers in the hair at the nape of his neck and return the kiss. His lips were soft against yours and you could taste the salt from your teardrops, but you’d dreamed of kissing him for so long that it didn’t matter. Itachi pulled back first and rested his forehead against yours, your breath mingling in the air between you. His hands moved to hold your head on either side and stroke your hair.

So quietly you almost missed it, he whispered, “I love you. I’m sorry it took so long for me to say it.”

Another wave of tears fell when you blinked up at him. Your throat was closed too tightly to say anything back, but you hoped your expression conveyed your love as well as your grief at losing him a second time. His eyes were soft and his lips curved up ever so slightly; he radiated peace and contentment as though he had fulfilled his final wish. He placed another chaste kiss to your forehead and then, just like before, he was gone.

*cute boy *against all odds, his interest in you did not begin at the academy. *actually, you and him weren't even in the same class, lmao- it all started on a mission. *he didn't even turn to look at you when the hokage told him that you would be on his team lie, he did- he even turned to look at you twice

*things got a little crazy in the mission, and suddenly your team was surrounded by enemy ninjas. Quickly, four of your group members were injured, and itachi was starting to wear out. He had really forgotten about you

*and it is just at that moment that you manage to reach him after putting your injured companions in a safe place

*my boy let out the air that he had been holding after he realized that you were fine and that he was not alone in this, haha

*after the fight and reaching Konoha successfully, and after checking that the injured were okay and giving the report to the hokage he approached you

A quiet, yet soft voice spoke to you from behind you, "… I wanted to thank you for earlier"

*you smiled tenderly at his grateful words, assuring him that there was nothing to be thankful for

*obviously, you weren't aware of the little jump that Itachi's heart gave when he saw your pretty smile.

*the poor kid froze before mentally beating himself up to compose himself.

"huh?"

*although several months have passed, he will never admit his attraction to you, at least not for now.

*and for some reason, he stutters a lot when he tries to explain his joke again

*itachi is there luckily to comfort him at the end of the day, but: "no, itachi- don't give me love advice when you haven't even had a girlfriend!"

*somehow he will overcome this historic moment in his life and be able to woo you properly

🌙 It's no shock that Naruto loves being affectionate in every way possible, having his hair played with is one of his favorite activities!

🌙 Pat your lap and he'll get the signal instantly, rushing up to you and putting his chin on your thighs with that iconic smirk.

🌙 Give his scalp a few scratches, it's comforting to him. His hair is oddly soft despite him seeming like he has a shitty hair routine... Wonder what his hair care routine is? "Heheh, I don't really have a routine... I just dip my hair in the hot springs and call it a day!" Maybe the hot springs has some kind of magic imbued in it?

🌙 Sometimes, Naruto will play around with your hair. He's a goof, and ends up messing up your hairstyle or tugging too hard... He'll apologize with a crooked smile, so don't get too mad at him <3

🦋 She doesn't mind at all if you randomly play with her hair, she's glad you like her hair so much! Who wouldn't though? Her hair is silky and long, absolutely gorgeous. She takes extremely good care of it and her hair has a soft scent of lavender.

🦋 If you ever asked, she'd help you do your hair. Hinata enjoys brushing your hair, but if you prefer it messy she's fine with that too.

🦋 Tie her hair and do different hair dos! She'll love it, a pink hue on her cheeks as you braid or curl her hair. Even if you suck at it, Hinata will try to compliment you regardless on your skills.

🌹 You want to play with Itachi's hair? Go right ahead, darling. If it makes you happy... Itachi is happy too. He'll untie his hair and crouch down to lay his head on your lap, letting you do as you wish.

🌹 The look he gives you while you run your fingers through his strands is so... Soft. He enjoys your touch, being as touch starved as he is. He'll run circles on your thigh with his hand, giving you the sweetest smile.

🌹 Let him pamper you as well, he loves taking care of you and making you feel good. Itachi will return the favor with soft kisses as he motions for you to lay in his lap.

🌹 King of scalp massages, the way he runs his hands through your hair is comforting, he doesn't care if your hair is crunchy either the man persists. Please don't tell him no, he's just so eager to make you comfortable and happy, it makes him twice as joyful. But if you really don't like it he'll stop, not wanting to go against your wishes.

🌱 "What? No, don't touch my hair."

🌱 Proceeds to get mad when you say it's okay. Sasuke really expects you to pressure him so he can pretend he hates it 😭. If you do pressure him however he'll grumble and say "Fine. I'm only letting you do this because you'll just keep pestering me."

🌱 Acts uninterested as you play around with his hair, but he is ecstatic on the inside. He won't admit that ever, not even to himself, but this makes him feel extremely comfortable.

🌱 I don't see Sasuke as the type of person to play with your hair, and he's probably refuse if you asked him to. What a spoiled boy... Don't worry, he'll get more soft as time goes on.

Sasuke Uchiha : He just forgets everything that is going on when he's having a hard time and you kiss his forehead. After the reboot he is right away able to think and analyze what is happening properly around him. You just got this power to soothe him and help him get out of these negative thoughts. And he knows how to return the favor in his own way when you're the one stuggling

Shikamaru Nara : Being an adult is such a drag. Work is such a drag too. So when he finally has time to have time for himself and chill under the clouds he can't help but keep thinking about other matters. So when you join him and put his head on your thighs and untie his hair before ruffling his hair. In an instant he feels his brain pause, unable to think anymore, his eyes just looking at the shapes of the clouds in the sky above you, enjoying his day off, occasionally looking your way to make sure he isn't dreaming. He's just so thankfull to have a little marvel like you in his life

Naruto Uzumaki : He is a simple man so just seeing you wearing his iconic black and orange jacket make butterflies erupt and happily fly in his stomach while he can't help but freeze in his action. You just look so small in this jacket it makes him want to carry you around on his back like a little backpack so bad - yes if he ever catch you he'd walk around the village with you like that. So you better try to avert other people's gaze because you ain't gettting down anytime soon

Iruka Umino : You're his first so when you bury your face in his neck or chest he needs a little minute or two to process that you're touching him. Willingly and physically - oof O.O But he loves it so much because like this he feels like he can protect you from everything the world send your way

Sai : He always takes such a great intake of air when he feels your hand press on his naked lower back and caress his pale skin. Of course he knows it's affectionate but he still feels like he needs to hold his breath. Sometimes you have to remind him to breath because he starts turning blue and that's actually never good

Hidan : The sight before him that always leave him breathless is when he sees your necklace dangling from your robe when your fiercly fighting your opponent. Should he add, his necklace that he gave you shortly after your meeting to the glory of Jashin. Once he took a hit in the jaw because of how entranced by you he was. He knows you may not approach this god the same way as him but he can't help but find you so sexy fighting with him for his believes. And should I add how strong you look when you're getting those corps ready for his ritual

Sasori : He always think about work so if you wanna make him aware of your existence you better be speak his language... and not make him wait. So everytime you come up with another corpse of a powerfull being for his puppets, he can't help but look at you with stars in the eyes as his brains fuel with all the ideas that come to him and… he doesn't work anymore and he stays fixed in the void. You know he is kinda happy when let's go of his tool and motion for you to sit on his lap while he works. And oddly having you here with him doesn't make him think one scond that he is losing his time

Itachi Uchiha : He's just on autopilot when you lift his shirt from behind and put your hands on his shoulders before massaging his aching muscles gently. Like he leaves you in charge of him and the rest he can't handle, not that he cares when your hands are just literally easing his pain like this. You've always been with him from what he recalls and he never manages to keep a conversation with you while your hands work on his shoulders and back. It just puts him to sleep right away, and that's good because he deserves it

Gaara : The wheels in his brain just stop when he hears you say the words "Dance with me" just after you put on some music and pulled pulls him flush against your body and asked him for a slow dance. His brain gets surrounded by so much questions like "Is he worthy of your time ?", "Will he disappoint you ?", "Will you hate him after you discover he CAN'T dance ?" that his brain overheats and he stands there motionless while you try to dance with him. Fortunately a kiss on the cheek and it's good he works again, but he is as red as his hair

Hashirama Senju : You tell him so much that he is strong that he sometimes forgets how strong you actually are. So when he sees you fighting an opponent fiercely, he can't help but look at you in awe as if you were Madara himself the strongest kunoichi he has ever seen. He just 🤩 and shower you with praises

Tobirama Senju : He may be really gifted to hide his feelings but gosh he can't help his face from showing how stuned he is when he sees you acting possessive towards him. Like the glare you send those people who dares to get to close to him. Like he could just ask them to leave him the fuck off but he just loves to see you this mad... it's kinda hot you know... but this he won't tell you

Kakashi Hatake : He always freezes and stares at you as if he was trying to bore holes into the top of your head when he sees you get on your knees in front of him at unexpected times. Like literally everywhere you know no one will walk in on you, on a hill, in the forest, on the training grounds, in the Hokage office... but it doesn't mean you're going to actually do something. You just love to see him all hot and botherd like this. But don't you worry he's going to get back at you sooner than you expected

Orochimaru : Really very little can get to him but when he sees you acting so cold and violent, he can't help but have his piercing eyes widen or his head wipe in your direction if he hears you cursing at someone. Like wow, you're clearly not the one to get walked on. It's lowkey such a turn on a right now he just wants to throw you over his shoulder like a potato sack and take you to your room to ravish you

Yamato : His brain really needs time to process when you go to him and ask him to zip up the back of your dress. Like bro is so flustered, but you're not helping either because you enjoy seeing squirm while trying to avert his eyes from your ass when you're wiggling it at him. After this he has to try so bad to stay cool and not have a hard on just before you guys leave your house. Don't worry he'll keep this in mind for when you get bad though

Deidara : You love the high pitched screams that come out of his mouth when you do that. Sometimes he doesn't know what gets into you for doing this and frankly you neither. But you just take his hand and lick his palm where one of his other mouths is and well he can't say it's not turning him on but still he's an artist his mind shouldn't get clouded with those thoughts... "Fine just this time" he always says that

Neji Hyuga : He is so pure and he is always flabbergasted when you tell dirty jokes about his Byakugan and the fact that he can at any given moment look through your clothes "Hey Love are you enjoying the view" and he's like ". . . . . . . . . Y/n my eye are always this colour" "Then how can I know you're not perving all the time ?" you always end up laughing your ass off when he becomes red as a tomato and just stares anywhere but at you. He knows you're joking but if you only knew what he was thinking about "A little look wouldn't hurt right ?"
