Bad Ritual Public Update

God what a time to be missing my banners ;; But okay, Bad Ritual technical update and rewrites are now live on itch !! These changes include:

new themes (dark and light, themed towards the characters)

new achievements screen

extended accessibility options

Tahira route rewrite

Siruud route rewrites (not as extensive)

texting interfaces instead of in-line texting

totally retooled character creation options

redone character profile page

I recommend starting a new game just to see all the changes, and also because the new chapter isn't finished yet 😂😂 That's on its way, but for now there's new content inside the old content and some new menus to explore. The new chapter is coming up next !!

Remember that you can subscribe to my Ko-fi for early access to updates, copies of certain games (right now you're guaranteed a fully copy of Manor Hill for donating and/or subscribing), and monthly drabbles at Employee of the Month tier !! Our shared MSA video 5 screenshot shows off Lewis with his hands full of something. That something you ask? A Tumblr Sexyman Tournament, apparently??? So a few weeks back, a twitter tournament for the #1 Tumblr Sexyman went down. In said tournament, our boy Lewis was up against Professor Venomous (From OK KO) in the very first round. Unfortunately, without having much of a grudge against him or... knowledge that any of this was really even particularly happening, Professor Venomous won out using his sciencey transformation potions to morph Lewis in a more evil, emo version of himself....I mean I guess Lewis just kind of meandered away after that, slightly more humiliated and confused than before...? i'm thinking i'm going to be making some changes to how memberships work on my site, specifically:

finally gonna upgrade my setup so i can enable coupon codes so that anyone who donates to my ko-fi or patreon gets site access, i should have done this ages ago but... i didn't.

i'll also see about giving coupons to anyone who sends me a tip through tumblr in case some people find that easier for some reason.

i'm going to up the monthly subscription cost to $2 a month because way too fucking much of $1 a month gets lost to fees. i get 57 cents of that. getting a notification from stripe that there's 57 cents on the way to my bank account is too fucking sad. i like having a minimal paywall but it just doesn't make any goddamn sense for me to be losing 43% of my income to fees before taxes.

annual subscriptions are going up to $15 a year for year one and once you renew it will only be $12. i still won't enable auto-renew by default because i still think that's scummy but maybe that's enough of a discount to incentivize not letting it lapse. i've lost a quarter of my subscribers since last year which makes sense because i haven't written shit but it's still depressing.

if you are already a current member (here's the link) you'll be grandfathered in at the old rates because i'm not an asshole

UPDATE: Cookie will be getting surgery to remove her leg this Thursday. The procedure will be expensive, so if you can donate, want a kofi sketch or spread the word, we would be forever grateful. Anything helps

Sunday, Cookie jumped off the bed and after a moment, started screaming in pain, refusing to put any weight on her front left leg. We rushed her to the vet and they did an Xray. They found that she had several hairline fractures caused either by a fungal infection or cancer.

The best course of action is amputation as the infection is on her upper leg bone and not in her chest cavity. If left alone with just pain medication, the bone would continue to weaken and break. She's still so full of life and Faye's (my fiancee) ESA (Emotional Support Animal).

Apparently, this isn't entirely uncommon with greyhounds and they're able to recover and adapt as tripods, so we're relieved we're not alone in this, but it's still an emotional roller coaster that we're still processing.

Cookie is on medication to help her be as comfortable as possible until Thursday and we're keeping an eye on her. Thank you again if you donate and/or reblog. For any kindness you may give, we can't thank you enough.

Can we please talk about how silly Aqua is?

There's nothing I can do about it, he says, only to literally wait for her in the dark only 4 chapters later.

Um... Aqua, how is this staying away from Akane? This is the silliest stunt Aqua has pulled in the entire series. He made such a dramatic exit out of Akane's life only to cave in... what? 4 months later?

Even assuming he was stalking Ruby and realized the girls were about to hold an audition... he could've simply waited for the girls to tell Gotanda or Kaburagi the results?

There was zero need for him to talk to Akane that night. Case in point, they don't actually discuss the audition at all! Aqua just asks if it's done and that's that lmao

Despite this, Aqua still sits his ass out in the dark and waits for them to be done. He knows what path Akane will take to go home, and he literally parks himself there and makes sure Akane will notice him. He doesn't even have the decency to hide! He stays right there in plain sight and even talks to her first!

Funniest part is that he tries to play it cool by staying on his phone, but he must have seen Akane coming! Otherwise how did he even know she was walking by behind him? 😂

He can't even come up with a excuse when Akane calls him out on it.

And then when Akane tells him that she's going to stop his plan, aka that she'll keep involving herself in his business and that she may just save him from himself after all, he makes this face!

He's giddy! He doesn't need to stalk her anymore, Akane's keeping herself a part of his life all on her own lmao

Clown behaviour. Boy really wasn't lying when he said he didn't want to let go of the days when Akane was by his side 😂
