“I tilted my head back, breathing deeply. It was a clear, moonless night, and after those long months underground, the sight of all that sky was dizzying. And so many stars - a glittering, tangled mass that seemed close enough to touch. I let their light fall over me like a balm, grateful for the air in my lungs, the night all around me.

"Alina," Mal said softly. I opened my eyes. The Grisha were staring. "What?" He took my hands and held them out in front of me, as if we were about to start a dance. "You're glowing."

"Oh," I breathed. My skin was silver, cocooned in starlight. I hadn't even realised I was summoning. "Oops." He ran a finger down my forearm where the sleeve had ridden up, watching the play of light over my skin, a smile curling his lips. Abruptly, he stepped back. He dropped my hands as if they were hot.

The others fell into step behind him, letting him lead yet again. I hung back, actively brushing the light from my skin. It clung to me, as if my body was thirsty for it.

When Zoya drew level with me, she said, "You know, Starkov, I'm beginning to think you turned your hair white on purpose."

I flicked a speck of starlight from my wrist, watching it fade.

"Yes, Zoya, courting death is an integral part of my beauty regimen." She shrugged and cast a glance at Mal. "Well, it's a little obvious for my taste, but I'd say the whole moon maiden look is working." ”

Water Lily by Sybil R is the cutest dishcloth I've ever made. I had to fiddle with the instructions after making the first one (in lighter colors) and ending up with gaps at the tips of the petals, but the second one (in darker colors) turned out delightfully and I gave it to my uncle when he hosted us for Christmas. :-D

And last but not least is the current WIP...but Tumblr tells me I've just hit the limit for pictures in one post XD So I guess it's for the best that my Aeria by Linnea Ornstein is not yet a FO? I'll post it separately, it's too gorgeous to wait for it to be finished!

Ohhh! That’s a fun question!

Garret - He’d order the most complex thing on the menu and flirt with you the entire time you made it. Once finally got it, he’d shower you with compliments and hang around the shop, trying to soak up as much attention from you as he could while you tried to work/ attend to other customers. He’d also glare at any other customers that dared enter, only to look like an angel when you looked at him.

In terms of flavors, he usually tends to go for a low sugar Lemon Tea with some kind of jelly or aloe added.

Marcelo - He would probably try all of your new flavors, but ultimately usually order his go to favorite drink. He’d probably also try to work out a deal where he brings you lunch in exchange for a drink. That way you both end up having lunch with each other every single day.

As for flavors, he loves anything that has coffee, milk, and black pearls in it.

Camilla - Camilla would probably cycle through the same 3 or so drinks, though whenever you came out with a particularly cute drink, she would insist on being the first to try it. She’d also take soooo many photos of your drinks and blast them all over social media getting you a decent amount of business.

When it comes to drinks, she probably cycles between a Matcha Milk Tea and anything lavendar flavored teas you have on hand.

Rita - She would stop by every day after the bookstore is closed and offer to help close up shop. She’d probably also secretly try to make it a point to be your last customer each night so that she can make sure you’re not working too late.

While her tastes are pretty basic, they’re also really consistent and easy to make. She always orders a Brown Sugar Milk Tea with black pearls.

Teagan - Like Garret, they would order the most complex thing on the menu. However, unlike Garret, they would insist that you made it wrong. They’d then throw it away and force you to make them a new one while they complained. They’d say that the reason why it tastes terrible is because you can’t get the right ingredients you need on this tiny little island and you need to move back to the city with them so you can PROPERLY start a boba shop.

As for flavors, they’d probably like anything loaded up with ridiculous amounts of sugar.

I wanna be just like you; made of felt and flesh and FREE( no strings on me !)

[ ID: Traditional fanart of me standing with an AU version of Puppet Habit or Pabit from Smile For Me the game. The AU is called AskPabit. Traditional materials used are pencil, black and blue pens, sketchpens, color pencils. The coloring is vivid and mostly done in many different shades on an individual scale, even for the same color.

Pabit's more anthromorphised form, from the askblog, is drawn in my interpretation as skinny and muppet-like with bigger proportions for the facial features and hands, high-heeled feet. He is made of felt and this is shown through the messy textured strokes.

Stitches run through the sides of his body and face. On his chest at the side is stitched a trans flag-colored heart with the letters " We love U!" -- the word love is just represented by a heart. His hair is brunette, curly and very long. His eyes too are a brown shade-- his eyes are big and lashed like those found on some children's dolls, the sclera are yellow. Below his eyes, fur-patches of pink blush are there. In his grin, his taken teeth are seen, one of them bleeding still at the side. Not all the teeth are there yet. He only wears pants in dark shades that seem to smoothly become heels in one piece-- stitches run along the sides of these too.

I am by Pabit's side. I am a shorter, light brown skinned person of average size with longer black hair and a round sparsely acne-marked face. I wear square pink glasses. My dress is a bright teal chudidar with multicolored flower designs in outline, and a sandy gold dupatta with pants of the same color to complete it.

Pabit grins and leans with one arm unsteadily on my head, I am clasping my hands in closed-eye delight, clearly excited. I lean to him. His face tilts slightly and he looks amused, one eye squinted while the other crinkles.

Beside me the text is written in a pink and black outlined box -" I'd love to be just, just like you"-- words in blue pen. Then in black--" I'll be made of felt and flesh and" -- then an arrow leads to a lavendar cloud saying " Free!" in bigger words.

Half the top background is covered by big outlines of flowers in sketch pen, lightly filled in with overlapping color pencil shades. It gives a soft look. Finally, from out of the very top a little bit of a book with a dragonfly wing design on it is seen in the drawing's photo. End ID]

My fanart for @askpabit ...!! I was trying for SO MANY DAYS and I FINALLY did it woooo..!!! I'm so tired after my flight so I'm short on words but I've been following this blog since like the beginning I think. The artist obviously has a lot of talent and he's really sweet too. Askpabit has been a happy influence on my life and here's my expression of that! I wish the artist all the best in his future endeavours. :) (smiley emote)

I really enjoyed coloring this by the way. Hehe all my faves become FLUFFY. I know Pabit's different here from your version but I hope you still like him...!! This is kind of just how I roll in my style.

The very first concept art( Not this one) had him more like a potato sack LOL. But anyway I tried to make him look like he's made of felt..!!! As blog lore dictates, hehe. And I remember saying I really liked how Pabit's movements worked all cutesy and kind of, like he's really stuffed, like a toy. It was really neat to see coming through in just non-animated images So I tried to imitate that a bit.

> This candle I prepared especially for this trip, since Samhain was ever-encroaching, and I was personally more excited for it than I’d ever been. And Salem was an interesting and busy time for me; one of the first trips I’d 100% planned myself.

> I added to it every night I’d come back to my hotel with a crystal id carry with me, or an interesting flower/leaf/shell I found. The photo above just shows how it looked beforehand. It felt good to take my normal walks in new territory, there was plenty of art to look at, beaches to explore, and I’m still kinda thinking of all the delicious food and hot cider, I won’t lie. 🥲

🎃> Overall it set it in stone what it meant to create new memories. Travelling and getting familiar with cultural landscapes is something I couldn’t stop daydreaming about since I was very young. I remember I used to think I’d never be able to do such a thing on my own, let alone board a plane by myself. So I thanked my diety for their assistance in getting the opportunity to do it, the blessing for my new job, a patient and convenient source for therapy, and my return home healthy and safe. I thanked them for my safe journey there and back, did some meditation, and safely snuffed it out before bed.

< Aside from a usual ritual candle lighting, I pressed a few leaves, watched Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin for the 4 thousandth time, grounding to the tune of a lofi livestream, and skin care every other night to relax after the sun went down. Journaling for my grimoire and recounting my time spent outdoors was refreshing once I got home and overcame the jet lag and backpacking cramps.🤧🛬📔

( I’d dressed this candle in dried roses, various flowers, lavendar oil, pumpkin seed, rosemary, bay leaf, gold glitter, and drippings of different colored candles for added effect. It smelled amazing, I was happy it lasted as long as it did. 🕯 )

< I’m already excited and wondering where I’ll head to next. So I thought I’d post at least a few things from my travels on this blog as well. My birthday approaches soon, I’ve got a whole new plethora of music to explore these days so there’s no time like the present to get a playlist together; Here’s to another plentiful harvest season, a warm thanksgiving, and a swift winter. 🍷

9. Which do I prefer, hot coffee or cold coffee?

As with all things there's a story. I actually always hated coffee. I was always a tea drinker- hot red rose, steeped in a pot, way the fuck too much sugar, like- so much it doesn't all dissolve.

When I had kids- I needed more caffeine, stronger doses. So IF I drink coffee- I prefer either flavored, way the fuck too much sugar, lots of plant based creamer- like my starbucks drink is a caramel ribbon crunch Frappuccino with almond milk.

Plain old coffee- if its freshly ground (we have a hand grinder and a french press), same rules, sweet and creamy.

You can do cold brew sweet and creamy but you have to make a simple syrup to dissolve the sugar so its kind of a pain in the ass.

I am trying to wean off of energy drinks so I'm tapering back to coffee, but ultimately we're headed back for tea. When my family fell apart and my dad was gonna sell everything, I kept the family photos, and the heirloom teacups. Oldschool, hand painted- vibrating with magic. We have bushes of boston tea plants growing, i grow alot of herbs, when im feeling fancy i walk around and collect rose hips, tea leaves, lavendar, mint, whatever else feels relevant and make fresh tea. I hope to learn to dry and store them so i can make little packages of tea for gifts one day.

So. Tea > Coffee with so much sugar and creamer its like a pastry, Warm > cold, but at the end of the day, as much caffeine as possible.

Very warm. Few clicks below HOT
