Home Part 2 (Alexia Putellas x reader)
Tumblr media
A/N: Sorry it’s taken me so long to get this next part out but writer’s block has been a bitch.
You spent much longer mingling and people pleasing than you had hoped. The plan was to do a quick lap of the room then spend the night with you family only that didn’t happen. At first you were worried about Alexia, with her being in an environment that was unfamiliar and surrounded by people she didn’t know but every time you looked over you found her having a blast with your sister in laws. You wonder if she missed your presence but that question was quickly answered when you returned to her.
The Cruyffs; present, future and Alexia were all at the bar. She feels you beside her and just as she turns around someone pushes into you and you find yourself very close to Alexia.
“Hello you” you whisper.
With the close proximity you could smell Alexia’s perfume. It was your perfume which she must have taken from your bag when you wasn’t looking.
“Have you done your duties?” Alexia asks and you nods your head, a smirk tugging at your lips “then you can have another one of these?”
She takes a shot from your brother and hands it to you. It seems that Alexia’s new found comfort was all thanks to the liqueur which you knew is drank by the bottle at events like this.
“Thank you” you take the shot without breaking eye contact.
Even after the mouthful of alcohol you cannot take your eyes off Alexia. She truly did look beautiful. This event had been the reason for so much anxiety but since touching down in the city you barely felt any of it and you knew that the reason was the woman standing in front of you.  You wasn’t feeling grief and you wasn’t consumed by the past. Alexia made you focus on the present and you cannot remember being this happy in years.
“I think we should leave” you whisper in her ear. Your hand sat dangerously low on her back.
“Why would you want to do that?” Alexia asks and you can tell that she genuinely wanted to stay.
“Because there’s things I want to do and I can’t do them here”
“And what would that be?” Alexia again asked a question but the change in her tone told you she knew exactly what was going through your mind. She also have the confidence given the confession Liv and Mia made earlier.
“Let me take you home and I will show you”
At this point Alexia pulls away to get a better look at you and to see if your being serious but with the hold you have on her you are able to pull her back towards you.
“Not to interrupt your moment” Luuk says apologetically
“Again” Jordi adds earning a slap from you.
His words gain the attention of the others. No doubt them all wondering what he meant by again.
“You know the rules Y/N. The children have to stay till 11 then we are free to go”
“2 hours” Alexia says after looking at her watch.
“Me and Jordi normally leave earlier than that and leave Luuk to deal with mum”
You and Jordi share a look. He may technically be older but the two of you are like twins and your mother knows best than to force to be somewhere you don’t want to be. She did it before and you both caused havoc which lead to you father kicking you out of the event.
“Give it an hour then we will sneak out”
Alexia nods her head wondering whether or not the next hour will pass by quickly or if it will drag. It wasn’t a thought that lasted long because you pulled her to the dance floor. It wasn’t like a dance floor at a club but the Cruyffs knew how to have a good time so there were plenty of guests dancing the night away. It meant you and her were able to blend in without bringing too much attention.
The idea of dancing came from an innocent place, well a mostly innocent place. You wanted to find a way to pass time but the intention soon changed when you found yourself dancing against Alexia and felt her hand on your lower abdomen. It wasn’t dirty dancing but it was enough to flood your mind with less than innocent thoughts.
“Stop” you lean back so Alexia can hear you.
“I’m not doing anything”
Whilst she was right, she also couldn’t be more wrong.
You could feel her breath on your neck, it was overwhelming.
“We’re leaving. Now” you grab her hand pulling her towards the exit. You couldn’t care less what you mother would say about your early departure. The only thing you cared about was the Catalonian beauty you were about to take home.
The car ride was filled with anticipation. Very few words were exchanged and truth be told neither of you had a lot to say. Enough had been said and from the words that had been spoken, you and Alexia were able to read between the lines.
You grab Alexia’s hand the moment you are through the door as you lead her upstairs to your bedroom, to the room the two of you were to share for night.
This wasn’t you first time nor was it Alexia’s but you weren’t in any rush.
“Will you help me, porfa?” Alexia asks.
The brunette turns around and pulls her hair to the side to give you better access to the zip of her dress. Given that she had already taken off her heels, you k=now had the height advantage. You stood behind her but instead of undoing her dress like Alexia asked, you rest you hands on her hips and place a soft kiss to the side of her neck.
“Don’t tease” Alexia makes no effort to move, instead relishing in the feeling that is your lips against her skin.
“As you wish” with one last kiss you turn you attention back to the zip making sure to take your time. Once you are done you tap Alexia on her hip assuming that she plans on going to the bathroom to take it off only that isn’t her plan.
“Take it off” Alexia turns to face you.
Her eyes are dark and you see the lust growing within them. She wants what you want yet you find yourself hesitating. You hand sits on her shoulder, on the top of the material of her dress but you make no move to rid her of it.
“What are you waiting for? Is something wrong?”
“I’m taking in the moment in case it never happens again”
It took a second for Alexia to recognise the look in your eye. It was a mixture of uncertainty and insecurity. She wasn’t sure if you would believe her words so she showed you how much the moment meant to her. The brunette leans forward and gently placed her lips on your own. There is no hunger or desperation. The kiss slow but filled with more passion than either of you had ever experienced before.
With a new found confidence and a focus on the present you pull the straps down exposing her perfect body. Once the dress is on the ground you take her hand and help her out of it.
She stands in front of you in nothing but a black lace matching set.
“You. Are. Beautiful” you tell her, each word followed by a kiss to her lips.
“Can I?” Alexia asks as she plays with the fabric on the front of your dress.
It seemed only fair that you let her undress you so you nod in agreement and before you know you are both standing in nothing but your underwear.
“I want you Y/N. I have since the first night I met you. I only wish I would have told you sooner”
“I’m right here and I’m all yours” no words had ever been more true than these in this very moment.
Hearing you say those words was like music to Alexia’s ears. It was a sweet melody at the beginning on the song that would be your first night together.
This woman who you had known for less than a year knew your body as if it was her own. Each movement made you want more. Every touch set your body on fire and every kiss make you believe that the love you saw in movies was possible. She knew just what to do for you to reach a new climatic height and you in suit showed her just how much you worshipped her body.
Your bodies collapsed on the bed a couple of hours later and it seemed to be perfect timing because just as Alexia laid her head on your chest, you heard the rest of the family come through the front door. Knowing that they wouldn’t come in, you made no effort to move and you tightened your hold on Alexia so that she didn’t move either.
As you lay there the silence caused your mind to wander and to no surprise of your own it goes back over the intimacy you and Alexia had just shared.
Alexia felt the hitch in your breath. She adjusts her position and sees you staring deeply at the ceiling.
“Hola, what’s going on in the beautiful head of yours?”
You didn’t feel her move but you certainly wasn’t complaining about the closeness that Alexia was currently in.
“Did that—does this—“ You didn’t want to finish either sentence because you knew that there was a chance Alexia would answer in the worst way possible.
“You told me you’re mine and now I’m telling you that I’m yours Y/N, there is nobody else out there for me. That much I know is true”
“I was hoping you’d say something like that”
The woman laid back down in your arms and remained quiet. It took a couple of minutes for you to realise it was because she had fallen asleep, clearly exhausted by the nights events.
The smile that tugs on your lips is out of your control. It seemed to be a theme with Alexia. She had all the control, all the power and held all the cards. You didn’t have a choice in falling for her, nor did you have a choice when she became the highlight of your day. Her company is the one your crave for. For Alexia you let your heart lead and it lead you to her.

Legacy [Dad!Dooku] Part 1
Tumblr media
Words: 2,183
Warnings: Angst, cannon typical death, nightsister murder arc - - - - -  Count Dooku woke from his sleep as the sounds of someone screaming and crying carried through the air. He slowly slipped from his bed and walked over to the corner of the room. From the crib the screams came loud, silencing slightly as Dooku carefully picked up the one making all the noise.
His son, barely more than a few months old, sobbed in his arms as Dooku held him. Never had Dooku imagined something like this could happen to him. His days as a jedi had turned his mind away from the possibility of ever having a child, but since he left the order, things had happened that he’d never expected. Now, he was here trying to comfort his son as the infant cried.
Dooku carried his son back to his own bed and sat down on it as his son’s sobs slowly faded away as the boy looked up at him. Dooku felt a smile cross his features as he watched the boy.
“I am so grateful to have you in my life, but perhaps next time you let me sleep through the night. Hmm?” Dooku said quietly. His son cooed softly and started to close his eyes.
Dooku felt his smile grow more as he watched him. Of course, for all he loved his son, he also feared for him. Feared what his master could have done to the boy, and feared what could happen in the coming chaos that his master was planning, though those plans were still a few years away. Still, Dooku just hoped for his son to have a happy life.
“Of everything I hope you can inherit from me, I hope the force isn’t one of them.”
_______________________________________________________
Six years into the future, after an attack on his life by the dastardly Asajj                             Ventress, Dooku looks into getting a new apprentice
Only this apprentice betrays him as well
Savage Opress of the Night Brothers was an agent for Ventress as the two                                team up. Both failing once more to kill Dooku
Dooku, concerned and angered by the threats, increases security
For both himself, and his young son, Torrin
- - - - - -
“Dad!” A young voice cried out as Dooku walked off of his ship. The count smiled as he watched his son running up to him.
Dooku shifted onto his knees and groaned jokingly as the boy threw himself into his father’s arms.
“Careful Torrin, you’ll knock your old man down one of these days.”
“I’m not that strong dad.” Torrin laughed as Dooku gave the boy a hug before letting go and rising to his feet.
“Not yet, but you will be.” Dooku hummed. “Now why don’t you tell me about your day and I can tell you a little bit about mine?” He asked as he began guiding his son inside. Torrin beamed and happily started chatting with his father about his day.
- - -
On Dathomir, a dark plan was rising as Asajj Ventress returned home to her sisters.
“I failed again to kill Dooku. That traitor Savage turned on me!” Ventress raged as Mother Talzin watched silently.
“Perhaps it is time we find a new strategy then. Bring Dooku here to us. Your return is something he will get word of, perhaps that would draw him here.” Talzin mused.
“No, that won’t be enough to get Dooku here.” Ventress sighed. She began to pace, as she tried to think of something. “He would need something more compelling to bring him here. Something that would make absolutely certain he came, and not just sent Grievous to deal with.”
“Surely there is something that could bring Dooku here. You know him better than most.” Talzin replied, and Ventress stopped her pacing as an idea came to her.
“Torrin.”
“What?”
“Dooku, he has a son. A well kept secret of a son, but I made it my business to know as many of his secrets as I could.”
“Well, his son would certainly bring him here. It’s settled then, I’ll send a few of your sisters to…invite…the boy over.”
- - - -
The next day, Dooku woke with the sunrise on Serenno like he always had, but this day felt off.
He couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't quite right, and he wasn't even sure if it was the force or his own paranoia making him feel that way. Ever since the monster Savage Opress had turned on him, he'd been more cautious, more careful, and all the more angry. Even before that all, he'd made sure to keep Torrin safe, doubling his security for the boy's sake after the attempts upon Dooku's life.
Now though, Dooku found himself walking towards his son's room with a growing feeling of dread and an emptiness in the force tugged at him. Normally he would let the boy sleep a few hours more before waking him, but today, something drove him to check.
Dooku knew deep down when he opened the door he'd find the room empty, but he was still not prepared for it. He stared at the empty room, the sheets thrown off the bed much as if Torrin had simply gotten himself out of bed, but Dooku just knew his son hadn’t gotten himself up.
Even still, something compelled him to call out for the boy, hoping that maybe, for once in his life, the boy had decided to rise early. “Torrin?” He called, a note of panic rising in his voice as he got no response.
Dooku made his way through the house, continuing to call out for his son, hoping, despite knowing deep down. Torrin was no longer on Serenno.
As he got to checking his office, his commlink went off with a new incoming message. He answered it, dreading it being his master, only to find the form of Mother Talzin staring back at him.
“Mother Talzin,” Dooku growled coldly. “I’m afraid I’m rather busy at the moment, and rather upset with the betrayal I faced because of you.”
“Oh I know you’re busy right now Count, but this is important.” Talzin replied calmly, irritating Dooku further.
“I do not have time for this right now.” Dooku replied, moving to turn off the commlink.
“It’s about your son.” Talzin replied, a wicked grin crossing her features now and Dooku froze.
“What have you done with him?” Dooku hissed.
“Nothing, yet. We simply needed a way to get you to come to us, and now, you must.”
“Show me that he is alright.”
“Come find that out for yourself, Count.” Talzin replied, turning off the communication link.
Dooku growled in rage before calming his temper. He knew he couldn’t go to Dathomir, it was what the nightsisters wanted and he wasn’t going to let himself fall into their trap. However, he needed to get his son back. Going back to his desk he sent out a call.
“Count Dooku. Did you have a new mission for me?” General Grievous asked once he responded to the call.
“I need you, and all the battle droids you want to go to Dathomir and you are to bring back my son with you, those witches have him and I intend for them to pay greatly for it. Kill them all.”
- - - - -
Torrin Serenno woke up feeling a cold aching darkness all around him. It was a cold feeling that seemed to leach all heat from his body and left his soul feeling hollow. His eyes snapped open and he looked around with wide eyes, gaze landing on one person he recognized from spying on meetings his father had.
“Hello Torrin.” Ventress purred, looking down at the boy. “Don’t worry, we don’t plan on hurting you. We just needed your dad to come here and you were the easiest way to make that happen.”
“Where am I?” Torrin asked, fear clear in his voice as it wavered. The last thing he remembered was waking up in the middle of the night to a sound only to pass out and find himself here now.
“Dathomir.” Mother Talzin told him as she glided by. Torrin choked on a sob of fear at seeing her, scrambling back away from her. “Do not fear child.” She said to him before turning to two of the sisters “Guard him, and make sure he remains unharmed.” She ordered them before leaving with Ventress in tow.
Torrin turned his fearful gaze towards the two remaining sisters. He felt like he was choking on the darkness around him as tears fell. The only thing he hoped for was for his father to come and rescue him soon.
- - - - -
“We have started the assault on Dathomir.” Grievous rasped, breaking into coughs after he finished. “We have yet to locate the boy.”
“Find him. And kill anyone who gets in the way.” Dooku snapped before ending the call. Grievous was one of the few who knew of the Count’s son, since he’d wanted a security detail for the boy at all times and the droids report to Grievous. Dooku wasn’t entirely trusting of the cyborg to fully do what he asked, but he also knew he couldn’t have shown up on the planet first, lest he have been ambushed.
Now though, he prepared to depart for Dathomir to wait for the witches to be dead or his son to be located. He recalled back to a time when Torrin was younger, terrified of a storm that raged outside of their home.
The boy had made his way out of his bedroom and into his father's despite barely being able to walk on his own. Dooku had woken to finding his son in tears on the floor next to him.
He had comforted his son then when the loud noises were too much for him. And now, he could only think of doing that again as he got ready to head out, waiting for word that his son had been found. He was certain his son was terrified, but once he was back in Dooku’s arms he would do anything to make sure his son felt safe again.
- - - - -
Torrin shut his eyes tightly when the sounds of a fight reached his ears. He always hated loud noises, and now, now the noises were far too loud.
But worse than that was the feeling, he felt like he could feel every single one of those bolts on his skin, feel the agony of thousands dying. He’d heard his father talk about the force before, how it could let you feel what others felt.
Torrin had always wanted to be like that, to be more like his father. Now though, he wanted anything but this feeling.
As time passed and the sounds got closer, he resorted to covering his ears with his hands, his eyes still closed tightly. If he focused enough, he hoped he would be able to pretend he was home, hiding away from a thunderstorm.
When he finally dared to open his eyes,  the two women who’d been guarding him were gone, likely abandoning him to go help their sister’s. He quickly stood up and ran. He didn’t know where he was going, but he knew he had to get out. Away from the death, away from the choking darkness.
Torrin got lost in the maze that was the inside of the sister’s home. He felt like he’d been wandering forever, trying to find his way out, when he suddenly felt a pull. It was like an invisible hand was gripping his, tugging him in the right direction.
He followed the pull, and soon, the sounds of familiar voices drifted towards him.
“I don’t care if you all run out of batteries, you will find him.” Dooku snapped at a group of battle droids that stood before him.
“Dad!” Torrin shouted, tears falling fresh from his eyes again and Dooku quickly turned around to see the boy. Torrin ran and latched onto Dooku tightly when he reached him.
The count quickly knelt down and pulled his son close, holding him in his arms for a few moments before pulling away and looking him over.
“Are you hurt?”
Torrin shook his head, “I’m not hurt.”
“I am so sorry this happened to you. This should never have happened.” Dooku said as he pulled his son close again. Torrin clung to his father tightly.
“It’s not your fault dad.”
“I’m just glad you’re okay. We’ll go home, and you are not going anywhere from now on without a droid escort.” Dooku picked up his son and carried him back to his ship. As they flew back towards Serenno, Torrin turned to look up at his father.
“Dad?”
“Yes Torrin?”
“The force? Does it, does it pull you places? I got lost in there, but then I felt like someone was pulling me and it led me back to you.” Torrin explained. Dooku fell silent, a dark look crossing his features for a moment. Torrin thought it almost looked like fear crossing his Father’s features before the moment was gone.
“The force can be like that. When we get home, we’ll look into it further. Alright?”
“Alright dad.”

From The Lost by Jo Graham and Amy Griswold
This is so long, and I'm not great at organizing my thoughts, so apologies in advance!
So I have kind of forgotten the entire context for this sequence and the context for this book in the Legacy book series, but this part (the pics above) has stuck with me.
For one, I love a Phantoms reference. This part doesn't really add too much more to what we already knew, but just kinda hits home how hard it was to lose Holland, and just makes it like...sadder.
But I also like how this highlights the relationship between John and Teyla, how deeply they understand each other.
And, if memory serves, the show was never really explicit in saying that John didn't want to go back to earth. It's interesting how front and center that theme is here.
I read this years after I saw the show, and for whatever reason it just made me think about John and Teyla as characters in a different way, and made me want to re-watch the series again for like the 100th time.
I do remember liking the books for the most part, and mostly the one off ones. Does anyone else remember more about them?

Tiny 12 y/o percy, standing in the lake, wounded and exhausted after a game he knew nothing about, a game he spent stumbling around till he reached the lake shore, the subtle show of his fighting getting better near the water.
Tiny 12 y/o percy confused more than ever, looking up at the glowing trident, backdropped by the vast lake and the mountain range behind him, getting claimed by one of the most powerful gods, ruler of the seas and agent of chaos, a forbidden child. Reading this moment as a child who so painfully related to him was like, Ha! See? How dare you call him a loser! He's going to be the most powerful demigod, meant for all the glory!!
But watching this as an adult is like. Have you ever bitten off more than you can chew? Have you ever been part of a legacy you never wanted? Have you ever been drop kicked into a high pressure situation that can alter your life completely, With little to no guidance? Have you ever been subject to trauma simply because of who you are?
That's no glory. That's the world expecting too much from someone who's been told too little. Someone who's been made to feel too little. That is the story of someone who hasn't prepared enough, hasn't lived enough and hasn't experienced enough, being forced to handle the weight of the world too soon.

Finding Chrissten by NJ Walters
 5 stars
audiobook
Tumblr media
Hank and Chrissten were wonderful together! They had a few misunderstandings, and some huge obstacles to overcome, but they belonged together. I loved how they instinctively supported each other, looked out for each other, and were deeply tuned in to each others feelings. This series only gets better and better with each book I listen to!

Home Part 1 (Alexia Putellas x reader)
Tumblr media
A/N: This is part 1 of chapter 7 of The Legacy Series.
Looking out over the clouds Alexia couldn’t help but wonder what you had planned. Last night she was crying on your doorstep and now she was on a plane to Amsterdam. You were typing rapidly on your phone and sighing every 30 seconds, she knew there was something you weren’t telling her.
“Y/N” Alexia says but her words fall on deaf ears.
She takes in your features. The way your eyes squint ever so slightly as you concentrate of the words you are typing out. You shake your head whilst reading the reply or at least that is what Alexia assumes you are doing.
“Y/N” Alexia squeezes your thigh “Earth to Y/N”
Now she has your attention but instead of facing her, you eyes are locked onto her hand which even after getting your attention still rests comfortably on your thigh. It causes a panic within you but a good one.
“Yes Alexia” instead of removing the hand you place yours over it.
“Should we be doing this. Going to Amsterdam I mean”
“Of course. It was my idea”
“It’s just that you’ve been on your phone for the past 45 minutes and whatever you are doing is frustrating you, I can tell”
She could tell. You had allowed Alexia close enough to know what you are feeling and when your feeling it without having to talk.
It takes a few seconds for you to respond. How do you tell the woman who hates doing public appearances that you are taking her to one of the most popular charity events in football.
“So I may not be telling you the whole truth as to why we are going to Amsterdam. You see there’s this thing. A thing which I didn’t plan on going to but then I saw you and thought it would be a good distraction only now I’m realising that this thing isn’t something that you like to do. This thing is something that I shouldn’t have signed you up for before talking to about it”
“I’m sure everything will be ok. I like to think you know me well and I know you wouldn’t make me do anything that would make me uncomfortable”
“Technically I’m not making you do anything”
“Y/N tell me whatever it is you’re not telling me”
“I told my mother that we are coming to Amsterdam and she assumed meant I was going to the annual foundation dinner and that you would be accompanying me”
You wait for the reaction. Instead of responding in any way, Alexia diverts her attention to the view out the window. It makes you very nervous. Is whatever she is feeling so bad that she cannot even look at you?
“I thought you were taking me home”
Her voice is quiet and you can just about hear the hurt in her tone.
“I am. Alexia I have planned on taking you to Amsterdam for a while I promise. It’s just my mother, she, well she—“
Alexia’s tries and fails to cover her laughter.
“You’re not mad?” You didn’t know what was happening.
When the Catalonian turns around you see a huge grin on her face.
“Alexia!” You slap her playfully “I thought I hurt your feelings. Don’t do that to me again”
“I’m sorry. You get tense very easily you know”
“It’s the event. It’s — you’ll find out soon”
“Is this the only public appearance you have signed me up for or should I call my manager?”
“It’s just this one. I promise after the event we have two days in Amsterdam to do whatever you want. There will be no appearances”
“Just me and you?” Alexia asks.
“Yes Alexia. It will be me and you”
It was a small omission of truth. No way would your mother allow you to stay in hotel when you went home and given the importance of the dinner, the whole Cruyff family will also be staying at the house. Not only were you taking Alexia home, you were introducing her to the people that mean the most to you.
You landed a hour later and as you drove down the streets of Amsterdam Alexia looked out the window and took in the sights of the city as if she was seeing it for the first time. She already looked more at peace and even though you knew the pain was still there, in this moment you knew that she wasn’t letting the pain consume her.
Just like in Barcelona, the house in Amsterdam had gates and as they open you knew now would be the perfect time to tell Alexia what she was about to walk into but part of you wanted to get her back for the prank she pulled on the plane. It’s why you wait until you’re standing outside the front door to tell her.
“Just a heads up, my entire family is behind this door. All the children come home for this event” You tell her casually.
Alexia grabs your hand as it reaches for the handle.
“Wait! Your family. I thought it was just your mother” Alexia was fine with it being just you mother as she has already met her and had got along very well with her. Your brothers she only knew by the stories you had told her.
“Surprise. Are you ready?”
“Do I have a choice?” She asks nervously.
“Not really”
You wait for alexia to give you some sign that she is ready to go into the house. You know that once she is introduced everything will be fine. Her being here at this time of year is a big deal but it will be you who gets the interrogation for inviting her.
Alexia nods your head and you open the door.
“kijk wie het is. jij bent de laatste persoon van wie ik verwachtte dat hij door die deuren zou lopen en je hebt je vriendin meegenomen.” Jordi, your older brother, is the first to greet you.
“vriendin?” Your oldest brother Luuk is right behind him.
“ze is mijn vriendin niet.” You are quick to correct them “spaans of engels om haar heen alstublieft”
You look back at Alexia who had a lost look on her face. You didn’t really speak Dutch in Barcelona unless it was with Lieke and even then you encouraged your friend to speak Spanish.
“Alexia this is Jordi and Luuk” you point of who is who.
“It’s a pleasure to finally meet you. Y/N here talks about you all the time” Luuk shakes hands with Alexia.
The action is much too formal for your liking. It seems that you and you other brother share the same thought because he pulls Alexia in for a hug.
“She really does. She has told me all about your dates”
“They’re friend dates. Tell him Alexia” your need for back up is amusing to your team mate who does nothing to help you.
Jordi walks with Alexia whilst you walk with Luuk.
“Are they?”
“Not for long I hope” you tell him knowing that he won’t use your words against you unlike your younger older brother would.
You knew that there was a reason you brought Alexia home and why you wanted her to go with you to the dinner. There was no hesitation and you knew it meant something, something that you had known for a while now but you hadn’t had the guts to admit to yourself and to her.
Alexia looked back as if to check if you were coming with her. You smile and nod telling her to go ahead. The rest of the family was in the garden and these introductions would be much easier and you knew they would help Alexia be more at ease.
“Alexia, you have already met my mother”
“Alexia, it’s nice to see you again”
“It’s nice to see you too Mrs Cruyff”
Much like Jordi, your mother pulls Alexia in for a hug.
“I told you before, call me Danny”
Alexia nods and makes a mental note to do so going forward.
“And these two are women, who for some reason have chosen to be with my brothers, are Olivia, Luuk’s wife and Mia, Jordi’s girlfriend”
Only one of them officially held the title but you saw both of them as your sisters.
“Alexia, it’s a pleasure to meet you. Y/N won’t stop talking about”
You sink into the outdoor sofa hoping it will swallow you whole. You had been home less than 10 minutes and already your family had outed you for the amount you talked about Alexia.
“Is that right?” Alexia looks towards you for confirmation of if it’s true.
“Of course I do Alexia. I spend almost all of my spare time with you. It’s impossible not to talk about my day and not talk about you too”
Now it is Alexia’s turn to feel embarrassed but it doesn’t last very long because the topic of the night’s festivities get brought up. Your mother tells the family, which now included alexia, what the night will be like. It seems a lot and to Alexia it is overwhelming but you reassure her that she won’t be left alone.
“I don’t have anything to wear” from her seat beside you Alexia leans to you and whispers.
“Neither do I. Do you think we can use that as an excuse not to go?” You reply playfully although you are deadly serious. The closer the event gets the more nervous you become.
“I heard that” you mother says “your dresses are in your bedroom. I assumed you would be ok sharing. If not I can make up the spare room”
You didn’t think of this and you don’t know what to say but Alexia doesn’t share the same hesitation.
“We are ok to share Danny” She is confident, so much so that she doesn’t even look to you for confirmation of whether this is in fact ok.
“You said you picked out dresses” You ask your mother.
“I picked out the dresses” Mia says confidently “I know Y/N’s measurements and I guesses Alexia’s won’t be too different”
Alexia didn’t know how to respond. How could a stranger know what her measurements were and for a dress of all things.
“Mia is a designer and she has incredible taste so you have nothing to worry about. I have so much faith in her that even I don’t know what I’m wearing”
This did put Alexia at ease. She learned very quickly that you were somewhat of a control freak so the fact that you let someone else have complete control over what you wore let her know that Mia would have chosen something perfect for her too.
“We are going to freshen up. What time do we need to be ready for?” You stand up and Alexia does too.
“Your car leaves at 7”
You thank your mother as you pass her. She knew that you attending the dinner tonight was a big deal and you wouldn’t want your arrival to be made a spectacle out of. It’s why she organised for you and Alexia to arrive an hour after everyone else.
Once in your room, your childhood room or more so the room you’ve had since you were 12 years old, Alexia collapses on the bed truly making herself at home.
“By all means Alexia get comfy”
“I will” she sits up with her legs dangling off the edge of the bed “Are those the dresses?”
She walks over to the two dress bags; one with your name on and the other with hers. She unzips hers slowly as if nervous to find out what she is going to reveal. You take her place on the bed and wait with just as much anticipation.
Alexia pulls the cover off the dress and it is beautiful. It’s a black sleeveless dress with a sheer cut out front and an extra piece of fabric on the shoulder to give it the extra wow factor. In this moment you knew you owed your sister-in-law a huge thank you for picking out this dress because Alexia would look beautiful in it.
After looking at her own dress she looks at you, mentally asking for permission to open your dress, you nod and Alexia proceeds to reveal what you will be wearing for the night. Mia had chosen a red floor length dress with a cut out similar to Alexia’s but instead of a normal top, the material on yours is crossed over.
“What is tonight going to be like?” She asks you.
Before answering her question you tap the space beside you on the bed and only when she is sat next to you do you start to explain the history of the Johan Cruyff Foundation dinner. You explain that the aim of the night is to raise money for the foundation but since your father’s passing it is also a night that he is remembered. She asks if there is anything she needs to do and you answer no. You tell her that you will try to be by her side as much as possible but you also have foundation duties to attend to and in your absence she will get along very well with Mia and Olivia.
“You’re going to leave me alone with your family who I have only just met?” Alexia asks with mixture of tease and disappointment in her tone.
“I won’t have much of a choice. You are more likely to have a good time with my family than you are with me tonight. Trust me on this Alexia” you gently pat her thigh but when you’re done your hand remains there. Alexia places her hand over yours and intertwines your fingers.
“I would rather be with you”
There was something in the way she spoke that led you to believe her words didn’t only have one meaning. With you, did Alexia want to be with you for longer than just tonight?
The room grows silent but in a comfortable way. With your eyes locked firmly on one another, plenty is being said and when Alexia leans towards you, you don’t pull away. Instead you close the remaining distance. Your are lips are centimetres away, close enough to smell the mint of the chewing gum she had recently thrown away. With your eyes closed you are committed to kissing Alexia in our childhood bedroom.
Suddenly a knock on the door makes Alexia pull away but you tell her to ignore whoever it was and she does so but only until a second round of knocking comes.
“Ignore it. We’ve waiting long enough to do this” again, your lips were practically touching when the person on the other side of the door barged in. This causes Alexia to pull away in embarrassment.
Jordi stands at the threshold with an annoying smirk on his face.
“I’m going to shower” Alexia says and you find little comfort hearing the sadness in her voice because it meant she wanted this just about much as you did.
You turn your attention to your brother and if it looks could kill Jordi would be dead on your bedroom floor.
“I interrupted something, didn’t I?” He asks almost as if he is remorseful but the older brother in him finds it hilarious that he had to enter in that exact moment, the one where you were finally about to make a move on the girl you liked.
“vreselijke timing. Nu eruit!”
Just over an hour later and you are ready to go. Alexia was in the en-suite bathroom putting the finishing touches to her make up. You wait anxiously. Since seeing the dress in the bag you had been picturing what she would look lie in it. You have numerous version conjured but none of them compared to seeing her the moment she returned.
You were at a lost for words. Beautiful didn’t seem enough for how she looked and whilst you tried to come up with a word that be enough for Alexia’s beauty she seemed to take your silence at a bad thing.
“Is something wrong with it? Is it too much? Is it not enough?” Her voice waivers as she panics.
It fit her perfectly. The material hugged her toned figure and when she did a turn it took everything in your power not to stare at her bum.
“Alexia Putellas you look absolutely breathtaking. They’re not going to be able to take their eyes off you. I know I won’t”
Her cheeks flush red at the compliment. It wasn’t the first time that you reminded her of her beauty but in this very moment you had never sounded more honest and the look in your eyes conveyed something different than the other times. Lust flooded your eyes and you knew it was because whilst alexia looked stunning you could only think about what she would look like in your bed, in you room with the dress tossed in the far corner.
“Thank you Y/N. I must admit I’m looking forward to tonight” Alexia tells you.
“It will be a night to remember”
You couldn’t ignore the anxiety that was brewing inside of you. Alexia had been a welcome distraction since arriving in Amsterdam but once you arrived at the event you would no longer be able to seek solace in her company, at least not as much as you would like.
The drive to the venue was silent but a comfortable silence. Much like in the car after leaving the airport, Alexia is taking in the sights from the window. It is only when she turns to point out a building does she see your hand shaking in your lap and she notices you biting down on your gum.
As a way to ground you and bring you back to the present, she grabs your hand and intertwines her fingers with yours. She squeezes it three times which earns a smile from you albeit a small one which doesn’t last long.
“Miss Cruyff, we have arrived”
It was time to face the music and the crowd that you had worked so hard to avoid over the past couple of years.
Your driver, ever the gentleman, opens Alexia’s door for her. Within seconds she has walked around to your side expecting you to already be out but the door is still shut. When she opens it she finds you staring into the back of the head rest.
“Are you ready?” Alexia asks only to get a shake of the head in response from you “There’s something you’re not telling me, what is it?”
“I don’t want you to start seeing me differently. Everybody in there wants Y/N Cruyff but you—“
You don’t have the chance to finish your sentence because Alexia pulls you out of the car as if taking control over the situation.
“I want you. I want the Y/N that has the same reaction to a cup of coffee that a child does to a cone of ice cream. None of this matters to me. I’m here to spend the night with you, nobody else matters”
“You’re going to have to share me tonight or least for the majority of tonight”
Never has someone made you feel like you matter. Alexia really did have no care for your last name and this moment was evidence of that.
“Ok” Alexia gives you some space to ready yourself “but after tonight you’re mine”
The last part of her sentence was a whisper one which she thought was quieter than it actually was because the look you give her lets her know you heard exactly what she said. In the past Alexia would dip head in embarrassment or lie and say she said something else but that didn’t happen. She owned what she said not by using her words but by her actions. Her hand rested on the small of your back as the two of you walked towards to the entrance doors. It dropped as you walked in but you both knew it was their even if only for a minute.
It was rare sighting for the people in attendance as you have been a missing part of these events so when you enter all eyes are on you and the beautiful brunette that you had brought with you.
“Everybody is looking at you” Alexia whispers in your ear as a nervous laugh escapes her lips.
“Oh please, everybody is looking at you in that dress. It’s a real head turner”
Alexia playfully shoves you.
You exchange a couple of hellos as you guide Alexia to the family table. Unlike outside the venue, your hand is on her waist and she can feel your grip tighten with every person that gets closer to the two of you. It was a reflex, an action of protection.
Similar to how they were at the house, your family welcomes Alexia and she is given a glass of champagne before she has the chance to sit down. It amazes you how easy Alexia joins in the conversation your sister in laws are having, it helps that they are making the extra effort to discuss things your team mate knows about. Alexia sensing you disconnecting from the moment so she makes sure to bring you into the conversation even if it only for you to say yes or no.
“Junior. Are you ready?” Jordi asks.
You see Alexia looking at your with an eyebrow quirked. This nickname was new and she knew there was a story behind in but it was a story that would have to be told another time.
Jordi stands to the side of you with a tray of shots which held what you could only assume was Oranjebitter given the colour. When you nod your head he hands out of the shots to the remaining family members at the table which included everyone but your mother and Luuk as they were off mingling.
“Let’s get this over with”
As you bring the glass to you lips you make sure to keep eye contact with Alexia who does the same. Whilst your face remains stoic given your experience with the Dutch liqueur, hers does not and you find it adorable.
“I’ll be back soon”
“It’s time to share you?”
“It is but I’ll come back to you as soon as I can. Girls, make sure she has a good time”
With that you leave Alexia i  the capable hands of your brother’s partners. She watches you walk away with Jordi. Your brother whispers something in your ear which makes you tip you head back in laughter. In all the months in Barcelona she had never heard this laugh and she knew it was because you were home and with your family.
“It’s nice to see her so happy” Alexia says to no one in particular.
“We have you to thank for that Alexia” Olivia says “We were all worried when she signed for Barcelona but within days she was saying how easier you have made it for her”
“I can’t believe it took her this long admit her feelings. Y/N doesn’t wast time, when she likes someone she tells them but with you she hesitated and it was then that we knew this was serious” Mia adds.
Alexia was at a loss for words, how couldn’t she be. It felt wrong been told this by anyone that wasn’t you but on the other hand this is what she has been waiting for. The connection between the two of you had been there from the beginning but for weeks, no months, she truly believed it has been one sided. Yet her she sits in front of two people that know you very well and she is being told that you share the same feelings she has. She had a inkling of this after you almost kissed but now she knew it to be true.
“We’re not together” it was the only thing Alexia could say because whilst so much was unclear this was something she knew was true.
“Call it what you want. Together, not together. In a relationship or not. She is here tonight and she brought you with her”
“She brought me to Amsterdam because I was going through a tough time in Barcelona”
The two older woman share a look and it makes Alexia feel like she is being left out of something.
“Alexia” Mia says softly “Y/N hasn’t been to this event since Johan passed away”
“What?”
“She has declined the invite every year. It hurts her too much to come because in the past she would stay by his side the entire night, they were inseparable. We didn’t think she would come this year because all anyone would want to talk about is how she is following is his footsteps” Liv tries to explain the enormity of what you bringing her here means.
“But she invited me anyways” It begins to sink in.
Alexia absentmindedly searches for you in the crowed room. She finds you speaking with Pep Guardiola and it’s as if you know you are being talked about because you look right back at her. Worrying that something is wrong you put your thumb up as a way of checking in on Alexia, she nods her head. After giving her a small smile you go back to your conversation happily knowing Alexia is ok. Only you had no idea just how ok she was.

I was completely invested in making sure these two admit their feeling to each other! Everyone around them saw them connect immediately, his wolf knew it, but self-doubt plagued them at every turn. It isn’t that they didn’t have valid reasons for their feelings, but I was so happy when they finally worked things out <3
