Worked on making masks today for solarpunk action week. 10 finished and 12 still needing ties/ earloops. Most of the fabric is scrap or donated to me by friends, including a bunch of fabric samples from an interior designer!

Still have a lot more to make this week. Some will go to friends and family, the rest are going to a local women's shelter and a clinic that serves lgbtq youth.

I’m in college now and it’s like… weird but cool?? Like I love it here but in the month since classes started I’ve already had to write like 6 essays all at least 2 pages. It’s painful. Like AAAA. And no one wears their mask correctly. Like they either don’t pinch the nose part so it ACTUALLY fits their face or they wear it beneath their nose. I swear to god, humans with be the death of ourselves.

The first preorders are getting ready to ship out- all that’s left is to hand wash them- so that means I’m starting a new preorder!

Like many, I’m still without a job. Making these shaped masks has been the only source of income I’ve had for six months. Not only do the sales help me personally, they also allow me to continue to buy supplies so I can donate regular masks to charities or folks who can’t afford them. I’ve donated 120 to different organizations and well over 200 masks to people who have reached out to me. Just 50 masks will pay my rent.

Like before I will be selling these masks at a discounted preorder price.  The reason to make these masks a preorder is that I need to know how much fabric to buy! That’s because @dani-gdraws and I have paired up and they have created fantastic pride fabric that will look amazing with any shaped mask. This fabric will be available in all of the shaped masks! I really love this fabric and will keep these masks as preorder until January 20, 2021.The preorders will go out in different batches but will officially end in January. 

I would be thankful and appreciative if you could buy a mask or share and spread the word.
