#me: alright time to watch some more wholesome kid shows!*

Note
Hi, could you do either Billy Hargrove or Eddie Munson reacting to seeing their s/o who usually doesn’t like children, interact with a baby/toddler who they actually like? Maybe the s/o was hesitant at first but then the baby just became really attached to them? Ty <3
Little Chickadees
(Eddie Munson x Gender-Neutral Reader)
Warnings: None (I think)
Word Count: 889
A/N: Full disclosure, I really wanted to write both Eddie and Billy, but Billy's version has taken on two very different paths, so I need a bit more time with his. One is a little more wholesome and fluffy while the other is on the serious side. I'll link the fluffy one with this post, but not sure about the other since it won't have the same tone.
Thank you for the request! And I hope you enjoy it!

“Eddie, you literally hang out with children all the time!” you said, exasperated.
He gripped his chest as if in pain. “Ouch!”
You groaned. “You know what I mean. It’s just…Kids don’t like me, and I don’t like them. It’s a mutual dislike.”
You were rambling at this point, and both of you knew it.
All you wanted was to spend the day with your boyfriend, but because he was such a sweetheart, he had volunteered both of you for the petting zoo at the Fourth of July carnival. And where there were fuzzy, adorable creatures, there were screaming, crying kids.
“C’mon, it won’t be that bad!” He flopped beside you on his bed. “You technically don’t even have to watch them. That’s what their parents are for. You just have to make sure no one loses a finger to a goat.”
“That’s not helping,” you said.
“Or lets an alpaca loose.”
“Eddie!” You threw a pillow at him.
“Alright!” he laughed, “Alright, I’ll stop.”
You played with the chain hanging from his jeans.
“You’ll be fine, sweetheart,” he said, rubbing your knee. “But we should probably head over. I know how much you hate being late.”
You let out a deep sigh. “Yeah, I guess.”
He offered you his hand, intertwining your fingers to lead you to his van.
You wished it had taken longer to get there. You would have rather listened to Eddie ramble about the most recent campaign than deal with the children of Hawkins.
At least the animals would distract you.
The baby goats were adorable, but you couldn’t help wincing when they bumped their heads together.
Baby ducks and chicks were waddling around in their pens, and the alpacas were corralled in fencing where visitors could see them.
“Think anyone'd mind if I took one of these guys home?” Eddie asked, holding one of the baby ducks.
You gave him a soft smile, resting your chin on his shoulder. “As much as I would love to see you play mother hen—or mother duck—I think stealing isn’t exactly the right answer.”
He puckered his lips in thought. “Yeah, you’re probably right.” He set it back in its pen. “And with my luck, it’d probably like Uncle Wayne more than me.”
You hummed and kissed his cheek. “Guess you’ll just have to settle for me.”
You went to pull away, but he quickly caught you around your waist to kiss you properly.
“There’s no settling when you’re the most amazing person I know,” he said into your hair.
Your heart beat a little faster the longer he stared. He always looked at you like you were the only person in the room. And you counted yourself grateful you found someone as kind and loving as him.
“Love you,” you whispered, touching your forehead to his.
“Love you, too.”
Excited shouts and giggles drifted as the kids bounded to the petting zoo.
“Show time,” Eddie said, reluctantly pulling away.
You sighed for what felt like the tenth time. “Yeah, yeah.”
When you got to the main area, Eddie showed some little boys the goats. And when one of them headbutted Eddie’s leg, the boys all laughed like it was the funniest thing in the world.
And you briefly caught Eddie biting his lip to keep the groan back. He’d definitely have a bruise tomorrow.
Someone tugged on your shirt to get your attention. Holly Wheeler stood there with her head tilted back.
“Hey, Holly. Where’s your mom?” you asked.
She pointed to her right, where her parents were having what looked like a disagreement.
“Okay,” you nodded, “why don’t we look at the baby chickens? How does that sound?”
She nodded excitedly.
“Alright, Holls.” You gently picked up one of the chicks. “Sit next to me, and you can pet him.”
You both sat on a hay bale, and Holly was transfixed by the creature.
“Just use one finger and be super careful,” you said.
She slowly ran her finger down the chick's back, barely any pressure applied.
“Soft,” she mumbled, a content smile on her face.
“You like him?”
She nodded again, starting her path from the beginning. The chick lowered its head, eyes closing as the repetitive motion put him to sleep.
You grinned. “Looks like he feels safe with you, Holly.”
She giggled but stopped petting him, not wanting to wake him up.
“Let’s put him back with his friends. Wanna see the ducks next?”
She was standing by their pen in an instant.
Her interaction with the ducks went much the same. And soon enough, Mrs. Wheeler called Holly back and gave you a wave of thanks.
You had just put the duck back when Eddie sidled up beside you.
“Kids don’t like you, huh?” he teased, wrapping an arm around your waist.
You rolled your eyes. “It was a fluke.”
“Yes, of course.” He nodded as if it made perfect sense. “S’why you were so good with her, right?”
You pinched his side lightly. “Holly’s a sweet kid. Not like your little demons.” You nodded toward the group of boys now at the alpacas.
He shook his head slightly. “That goat had it out for me.”
You laughed, leaning into his side.
He kissed the side of your head. “Knew you’d be fine.”
You faced him. “Whatever you say, Dungeon Master.”

Father-figure
(Basically a rewritten version with more wholesome Meta dad content in it from my old fanfic at Fanfiction.net lol)
+Meta Knight felt like he was nothing...useless until Kirby decided to cheer him up and show him some affection!+
"Meta Knight! You do as I say! Tomorrow, you will force Kirby to a duel!" shouted King Dedede.
Meta Knight clutched his cape more tightly and murmured, "Yes...Sire...I will."
The blue knight could swear that the throne room got colder as he kept on listening to King Dedede ramble. He felt useless for quite some time now, as he just couldn't forget his death best friend, Jecra. He HAD to kill him...he was possessed.
"Useless,Useless..."
That's all he could think of now. Bad memories flooded his mind. Garlude‘s death, Jecra‘s death, the fall of the GSA... And oh, how he wished he could see Arthur again...
He always had feelings for him...
His breath got heavier as he grabbed his cape as tight as he could. Maybe he was useless? Or else his friends and everything else would have been alright.
"I have to prepare myself for the duel. Goodbye."
And with that, he left. leaving a confused King and his snail behind.
"Wow, and I didn't get to finish...",mumbled King Dedede angrily.
Escargoon crossed his arms, "Well, as long as he gets the job done..."
"Useless... I could have saved them...but I was too much of a coward...Why am I still alive again...?"
Meta Knight was stuck in his thoughts as he walked through Cappytown, ignoring the gossip of the Cappies as they eyed him, surprised.
"Is that Meta Knight?"
"I wonder why he is here. Isn't he normally in the castle?"
"Maybe it has something to do with Kirby..."
Meta Knight saw the two children, Tiff and Tuff, approach him.
"Meta Knight! We can‘t find Kirby! Do you know where he is?" asked Tiff as she stopped in front of Meta Knight.
"No. I will inform you when I find him",simply answered Meta Knight before he marched past the kids.
"Huh, weird..." Tiff turned around to look after Meta Knight while her brother crossed his arms.
"Whatever Tiff. You know how Meta Knight is", said Tuff. "Let‘s look at Kawasaki‘s. Maybe he wanted food?" He pointed at the restaurant.
Tiff agreed, and the siblings ran off.
Meta Knight tried to get his mind off his bad thoughts somehow. Maybe the beach could help? He headed towards it, only to find a giggling Kirby, who watched a crab running back and forth.
"Kirby...?" The little star warrior looked up to his mentor, who placed himself on a big stone. "What are you doing here? Tiff and Tuff are worried about you. I suggest you head back."
Kirby only blinked a few times before climbing up to him and cuddling with the older knight.
What‘s that warm feeling inside him?
"Come on, Kirby...Tiff and Tuff are worried about you," reminded the blue knight, yet Kirby only starred at him.
Meta Knight sighed. "Kirby, tomorrow we will practice sword fighting. So please head back."
"Poyo!" Kirby protested as the tiny star warrior cuddled and tugged on his cape.
"I‘m fine, Kirby. You should better head back-" "Poyo!" Kirby interrupted him, demanding to know why his mentor was upset.
"I...just have some bad memories floating in my mind. Does that answer your question?" asked Meta Knight.
Kirby seemed to be pondering about something until the little pink one got up and suddenly dragged Meta Knight on his cape along.
"Kirby, wait!" Meta Knight tried to slow him down, but unsuccessfully, as he got Kirby to hold his hand instead of his cape.
They both arrived at Kirby‘s house as Kirby cheerfully swung the door open and hoped into bed as Meta Knight closed the door.
"You...want me to stay? Sword and Blade wouldn't like that-" Meta Knight saw how Kirby made puppy eyes.
Defeated, he sighed and gently pulled the little one‘s blanket over Kirby.
"There we go. Now try to sleep, okay?"
"Poyoooo! poyo!"
Meta Knight had to smile under his mask. Kirby wanted Meta Knight to also get into his bed to cuddle.
"Fine... I just hope you don't mind if I read for a bit..."
And with that, he slowly got under the blanket as Kirby immediately snuggled and hugged his mentor.
"Pawpa Meta!"
His mind went into father-figure mode.
"If you wish to call me that...then...I wouldn't mind..."
Meta Knight affectionately stroked the now-sleeping Kirby on top as he pulled out his book and continued to read, his mind now filled with pleasant thoughts.
Before he realized it, however...
He too dozed off.
Maybe he wasn't that worthless...

not sure if you've answered this but im digging myself deep into the targaryen family hole and I need your opinion.
do you think aemond is the father to Helenas children ? like talking cannonly his personality was all about doing his part as a prince, family oriented, mommy's boy blah blah blah and aegon is the total opposite. I dont think aegon genuinely has any romantic feelings for Helena so I can't imagine him bedding Helena at all let alone fathering her children.
also im thinking this may actually be cannon to the show because the show didn't show any any scenes with helenas children acknowledging aegon or spending time with him, but they showed the scene when the kids saw aemond and coincidently said 'father'... like why would the show runners include that ?
also cuz they made aemond killing Luke an accident. so I think they wanted the events of blood and cheese to hit so different because it means it was basically almonds fault that got his own kid killed and his 'lover' Helena killed as well. they gonna make our boy miserable.
I know this is probably a super overused question and an popular discussion but regardless, thoughts ?
Oh hi there! Thanks for this message, Anon :) Personally as a rule, I don't ship incestuous relationships since that's a big turn off for me. I think it was @aemonds-sapphire who pointed out it was actually Alicent's bedroom Aemond found her and Helaena and the kids in after Viserys died, when many assumed it was Helaena's room. Also the children saying "Aemond" or "father" is pure speculation and has not been confirmed.
I do not believe they are Aemond's children. In episode 7, Aemond says he would marry Helaena if "mother had only betrothed us". I don't see this as a brother lusting over his sister, more I see it as Aemond wanting to be dutiful to the Valyrian heritage he's very proud of and perhaps even save his sister from Aegon...who is already lecherous with the maid servants even in episode 7.
That being said, Aemond would not sire a bastard child. We know how he feels about the Strong boys, there's no way I can be convinced he would be alright with making illegitimate children with Helaena, even if it were kept secret. That's also why I believe Alys when she says Aemond made her his wife and that the son they had together was legitimate.
Blood and cheese makes sense with it still being Aegon's kid. "A son for a son" seems to be used a lot in favor of Helaemond as if it's the trump card against people who disagree. A son, Lucerys, for a son, Jahaerys (if I remember correct). Not a son of Rhaenyra so a son of Aemond. Daemon doesn't care if the son they kill in retribution is directly related, he just wants blood to spill...very in keeping with his character.
That being said, I do believe Aemond loves his sister. Wild I know. Not romantically, but as a brother should love his sibling just as he has tender affection for his mother. He is protective of Helaena and I'm sure wishes he could've saved her from marrying his ass of a brother.
Adding onto this real quick as an edit...the way Helaena visibly brightens when Aemond enters Alicent's room is something I love. The fact a lot of people want to translate each interaction between Aemond and Helaena as being so romantic and proof they are intimate really rubs me the wrong way. Can we please just enjoy a wholesome sibling relationship without turning it sexual? I get they are Targaryens but that doesn't mean every brother/sister duo are boning hahaha (watch the writers prove me wrong next season I stg). But I do fully believe Aemond is one of the only people Helaena trusts and loves dearly. He strikes me as being soft spoken to her, interested in her hobbies and understanding of her struggles.
(SPOILERS BIG BEWARE) I wouldn't be surprised if, like some have speculated, Helaena did throw herself out the window upon hearing of Aemond's death because of that news. He was probably one of the only people she was close to during her tragically short life. The combination of the blood and cheese trauma mixed with Aemond's death was just too much for the poor thing. Anyway, now I've made myself sad. (END SPOILER)
Ship whoever you want, I've seen DaemonxAemond and LucerysxAemond shippers and I'm not going to yuck on someone's yum.

Alright, time to out myself as a forever hyperfixated transformers fan to all the new people, here are my overall thoughts and first impressions on Transformers: Earthspark
So here are the things that I liked:
Reformed Megatron. I love the guy. His friendship with Dot is wholesome. He still cares for the decepticons and constantly questions GHOST and their involvement with the Cybertronians. I feel pretty confident that he will stay good throughout the show after ep8 and that brings me joy.
Optimus is dad™. Socially awkward OP is what I live for after all. I’m very interested in his personal conflict, it’s clear that he doesn’t like working with GHOST and I can see why there’s not much of a choice for the autobots. The line that got me even more invested in his story is about how he can’t just “throw a tantrum” unlike Megatron. I hope we get more screen time on that.
Terrans! I like the concept of them being the next step in evolution and the lore behind them provided so far is a good amount. Their connection to the kids is interesting as well, it’s adorable how they are excepted as siblings. (but what is going on with their names man)
Twitch is definitely my favorite terran. Her anxiety and overachiever vibe is 100/10. Also just straight up calling Wheeljack DAD 2 and him going with it was nice.
Millennial crisis Bumblebee is on my top 3. When We Were Young fest is probably the highlight of his year. He is trying his best.
Steve Blum as Starscream. Those two seconds of his iconic laugh are the best thing in those 10 episodes. I also had no clue that he is coming back so I lost my shit then and there.
Decepticons. Soundwave is still superior, I liked Swindle and the twins too. I obviously want more Soundwave and Megatron interactions.
Mention of the 13, please give me some more lore
Honorable mentions: Arcee and Elita-1 but we didn’t get much of them, the agent dude he cracks me up
And now, my one problem with it:
The balance between filler and plot is off, which messes with the pacing too. It didn’t feel engaging, it felt like I had to sit through an hour of content until it got to the part that is actually exiting. We spent few episodes having no progress and then the last two episodes just dumped a bunch of info on us and gave us those cool fighting scenes. At that point I was already half-disconnected anyway, my excitement coming into this new show already faded and it’s only the first half of s1! Each time we saw a glimpse of the autobots or decepticons it was quickly replaced by kids drama. It feels like humans had the most screentime and they weren’t even that interesting, just forced. They would’ve been cool, the family dynamics are nice but the title literally says TRANSFORMERS. It’s like there is a whole other show with GHOST and Cybertronian war that is still going on to some extent while we’re watching kids have their first day in the new school and it’s a shame. I really do hope that the crew just needs more time to figure out the best approach, again, there’s a lot of concepts that can be explored properly. I’ll keep an eye on it for now.

Dino Watches Anime (Nov 5, 2022)
I gotta start putting the year in these things because I've been on Tumblr for too fricking long.
Anyways, I've been getting back into anime which is why my doctor is very concerned (I'm not even joking about that one).
These sequels are good (obviously)
Pop Team Epic
Honestly, the last few episodes have been mediocre. For one, I expected more out of Asanuma and Toyonaga's bit. Second, the writing, like all comedies, is extremely hit or miss. Pop Team Epic in particular is niche to many memes that people haven't even heard of. I'm watching it for the seiyuu and the bad jokes. Yuuma and Enoki's 3B part is what puts it under the "Yeah, I'll keep watching this" category.
Tumblr media
Spy x Family Season 2
Yeah, it's good. Wholesome stuff right here. This is the type of content that's okay to put on your search history. Yor is also one of the few characters that Shonen Jump can sexualize without being put on a watch list. Not that they need to. We all show up for Anya.
Tumblr media
Mairimashita Iruma-kun Season 2
My only complaint is that there isn't enough Clara antics. I have already written a post about this show. It's good. Go watch it.
Tumblr media
Mob Psycho 100 Season 3
Takahiro Sakurai scandal? What is a "Takahiro Sakurai scandal"? For real, that scandal did kind of rock my enjoyment of the show, and I really wouldn't want Reigen to be played by anyone else, but that's up to the people involved with the show. Either way, this season has already been recorded. I just don't see how they can top that previous season with Reigen's revelation arc. Just remember kids, separate the artist from their work. Sakurai is just a small part of what makes Mob Psycho 100 good. There's also some controversy with the dub cast too, so don't think that watching dub will protect you from that.
Tumblr media
Recently finished
Koi wa Sekai Seifuku no Ato de
The fanservice interferes with this show. Honestly, I've been watching anime for quite a while, and even this show really sticks out for some reason. Besides that, it's a cute love story that doesn't diverge too much from the usual "Romeo and Juliet" type fare.
I was really surprised about some of the casting decisions for this anime, but I think it worked out for the most part. I don't think I've seen Yuusuke Kobayashi play a meathead before.
Tumblr media
Heaven's Design Team
Okay, this is the one show where it genuinely doesn't matter that the cast is never developed because it isn't that type of show. It's ecology mixed with creationism, and even though you'd think those two would never mix, it leads to an almost theistic brand of evolution, and I think that's okay. Just enjoy it for what it is. I watched it for the seiyuu who made the show fun. It's a nice watch, but I can't say it's mindless because you do actually need to pay attention sometimes.
Also, I accidentally watched this out-loud on a VC and still cringe every time I remember that. It was during one particular scene too. Ouch.
Tumblr media
Shinchou Yuusha
I pretty much watched this for the voice actors. For one, Aki Toyosaki was really funny in the clips I've seen. Second, I got it spoiled for me and wanted to see the build-up for said spoiler. It was alright. Not a complete waste of time, but it still wasted time if you get what I mean (I watched it on 1.5 speed). I should've been productive. I feel like some of this stuff could've actually been abridged. Besides the two main characters and a few gag characters, the cast is extremely forgettable. It's almost like they made them forgettable on purpose. The fanservice interfered with the show a lot. I could not sit a minute without having female MC's boobs hanging out.
Tumblr media
Romantic Killer
Yo, I made a post for all the reasons you should go watch this show. You should go do that. Quit reading this and go watch it. It's good. I like it. Makes the little dino in my brain boogey.
(also a comment on that gif: If this was your normal average harem with a male protagonist, MC would've definitely accidentally groped someone. Anzu never fall on their ball sack. I appreciate that it just stops with a kabedon and her accidentally stomping the crap out of him)
Tumblr media
On-going
Akuyaku Reijou nanode Last Boss wo Kattemimashita
I just realized that I may have watched too many anime with Yuuichirou Umehara as the lead, and the funniest part is that all of the three characters in the past three anime I've mentioned have the exact same voice. It wasn't a whole "voice actors have such range" kind of thing. Umehara does have range, but I swear the past three entries have had him to do the exact same or extremely similar voices (closer to his natural voice). He was also in Heaven's Design Team where he did give the character a different voice. So yeah, he's been in four of the anime I've watched lately, and I think it was done by choice? I don't know. He happened to align with a lot of my stuff on my "watch later" list. Meanwhile, Rie Takahashi has given such range as Anzu and the MC of this anime. Man, I have slept on how good she is.
Anyways, this anime is alright. Honestly, go read the manga which covers the first four episodes. From episode five on, the anime goes at a snail's pace compared to the first four episodes which adapted at light speed. Bro, choose your pace then STICK WITH THE PACE YOU CHOSE.
Tumblr media
Chainsaw Man
You know, I thought this while reading the first few chapters, but man, it feels both refreshing and insulting to have a straight-forward pervert as the protagonist. Thanks for being honest with us and what you want to project, but man, I am not part of the crowd that would relate to this (asexual). It beats all of those "I'm a good guy who just happens to grope women in my spare time" MCs, but man, how am I supposed to get behind Denji as a main character? Also, screw those people who dislike the casting. I strongly like this cast. Tomori deserves support and so does that trombonist playing Denji. Also, RIP to all of them peeps who are falling for the Makima x Denji stuff. We all know how that's gonna turn out given the tone of the show... and the manga readers screaming spoilers at us from 100 kilometres away.

Could you do some fluffy Caparzo and/or Reiben headcanons? I’ve been having a real shit time lately
I’m so sorry that you are having a bad time lately. So, in that case, I’m doing both Reiben and Caparzo fluff headcanons. I hope this helps.
Reiben Fluff Headcanons
Ok now Reiben may seem like a tough grown man but deep down he’s still a kid.
He literally gets excited about the littlest things
if he sees his favorite movie is showing he will be the first one in the theater.
if a candy shop has his favorite caramel apples, he will literally buy all of them
he might be unwilling to share with you but if you give him puppy eyes he will crack under pressure
he is the type of man who says no one can change his mind but you easily can
he definitely has his soft spot for women
Also Reiben is such a big dog person
you know what cat mom’s are, well he is a dog dad.
I just see him working at the animal shelter and all the pets loving him
secretly he sometimes serves the dogs human food but his boss doesn’t know
date night with him is surprisingly wholesome
like you want to watch a rom com and he’s like “oh rom coms are so stupid.”
but he ends up the one crying at the end and being so invested, which leads you taking pictures to make fun of him for years to come
This man is loyal to the t
if you need help ,friend or lover, he will be the first one there
he will hug you and tell you everything is alright.
Caparzo Fluff Headcanons
Caparzo may seem like the guy who works out and only eats heathy foods
But he is such a big foodie
and I just see him baking all the time and that he is a baker
YOU CANT CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE
He owns his own bakery and it is just all Italian bake goods
Before he opened his restaurant, he practiced how to bake like his mom does.
he may have even stole her recipe book
His main goal for opening up the bakery was to give people a place to be comfortable and remind them of their mother’s baking
So this leads me to say, Caparzo smells like fresh baked cookies everyday.
He is also such a hugger
he strives to make people happy
if someone cannot pay for groceries, he will pay for them happily
he will probably also pay for the person behind him
Caparzo is a dog person like Reiben, but deep down he prefers cats more
he just thinks they are so beautiful and just misunderstood creatures
caparzo also gives the best advice
like if you coming crying into his bakery, he will give you free cookies and a glass of milk and even take time out of his work to comfort you.
He thinks family and friends are more important than any job he has
he makes time for everyone
He’s a big guy but has a gentle soul
I hope you enjoyed these headcanons💕💕💕and I hope things get better soon

Television Rules
Alright, so let me spill the beans on what's been bothering me lately. Recently, I've been feeling incredibly annoyed with my family and their complete infatuation with those dark, high-end TV shows that are clearly not suitable for kids. It's reached a point where their obsession has transformed them into TV snobs, and quite frankly, I've had enough of it. Their fixation on these dark shows has created a divide between us, as I find myself unable to relate to their conversations. It's disheartening to see their enthusiasm for something that I find unsettling and unsuitable for our family dynamic. I yearn for the days when we would gather around the TV to watch light-hearted sitcoms or engage in meaningful conversations that didn't revolve around fictional characters. It's become increasingly clear to me that this obsession with high-end TV shows is taking a toll on our family's relationships and overall well-being.
I mean, here I am, just trying to enjoy some innocent animated kids' shows, and they're giving me grief for it. Yeah, I might be a grown-up lad, but I've got my reasons. You see, I reckon watching those cartoons actually does some good for my artistic skills. It's like an autistic thing for me, in a way. And I've had enough of them acting like I'm doing something wrong. I've always been fascinated by the stunning animation techniques and the attention to detail in these kids' shows. The intricate plotlines and character developments often inspire me to think outside the box and push my own artistic boundaries. In a way, it's like a form of visual storytelling that ignites my imagination and fuels my creativity. So, why should I be judged or ridiculed for finding inspiration and solace in something that brings me joy and enhances my artistic skills?
They keep harping on about how adults shouldn't be watching cartoons. Well, if they're so quick to forget, it's adults who made those cartoons in the first place. Adults who dismiss the value of cartoons fail to recognise the immense talent and artistry that goes into creating these animated masterpieces. Cartoons are not just mindless entertainment; they possess complex themes, nuanced storytelling, and stunning visuals that captivate audiences of all ages. By appreciating and finding inspiration in cartoons, I am embracing a medium that has the power to transcend age barriers and ignite the imagination of anyone willing to open their mind to its wonders. It's like they've forgotten that creativity isn't confined to age, mate. But nah, they're too wrapped up in their bleak dramas and twisted mysteries to see the bigger picture.
And don't even get me started on Netflix. Every time I try to use the kids' account, they're all like, "Oi, that's for your younger cousins!" Like, give me a break. The grown-up version of Netflix is just a cesspool of grim tales and mind-boggling mysteries that I've had my fill of. So for me, there is nothing good to be watched in Netflix. So, I ain't budging on this one. If they want to judge me for sticking to the kids' account, then let 'em. I couldn't care less. At least with the kids' account, I know what to expect - bright colours, funny characters, and wholesome storylines. It's a breath of fresh air compared to the dark and twisted shows that dominate the adult section. Besides, who says cartoons are just for kids? I find them entertaining and lighthearted, a perfect escape from the harsh realities of the world. So, while others may scoff at my choice, I'll continue to enjoy my favourite animated shows on the kids' account, without a care in the world.
But here's the kicker. When I've got my own place someday, mark my words, I'm laying down some ground rules when it comes to TV time. It's going to be a whole different ball game under my roof. First off, no more of those overly premium, doom-and-gloom shows. None of that rubbish. Instead, we're sticking to the good stuff – kids' shows, educational bits, religious content, and lifestyle channels. Oh, and if they're hankering to watch something that ain't exactly for kids, they gotta come to me first. I want to create a positive and family-friendly environment in my home, and that starts with the television. I believe that exposing children to educational and age-appropriate content will not only entertain them but also stimulate their minds. Additionally, I want to ensure that any media they consume aligns with our family values and beliefs. By having them ask for permission to watch more mature shows, I can monitor what they are exposed to and have meaningful discussions about it.
Yeah, you heard me right. They'll need my permission. I'm gonna be the TV gatekeeper, examining the content and deciding whether it's fit for our screens or not. And let me tell you, I've got high standards. The shows I'll approve of? They gotta be light-hearted, family-oriented, a bit comedic, maybe even historical or educational, and definitely uplifting for the spirit. If they can't meet these simple criteria, they're out. I strongly believe that as the TV gatekeeper, it is my duty to ensure that my family is exposed to quality content that aligns with our values and promotes positive messaging. I want to foster a wholesome and enriching environment, where we can enjoy shows that not only entertain but also educate. By carefully examining each programme and selecting ones that meet these criteria, I can guarantee that our TV time will be both enjoyable and worthwhile. With my high standards, I am confident that our family's television experience will be nothing short of exceptional.
In terms of channel selection, I prefer to keep the options limited to a few specific categories. Firstly, I opt for kids' channels to ensure that the content remains suitable and engaging for younger viewers. Additionally, I am inclined towards educational channels as they provide informative and thought-provoking content that helps me broaden my knowledge. Furthermore, religious channels are important to me as they allow me to stay connected with my faith and engage in spiritual content. Lastly, lifestyle channels appeal to me as they offer a range of programmes related to health, wellness, fashion, and overall personal growth. These channels not only entertain me but also inspire me to lead a healthier and more fulfilling life. Moreover, lifestyle channels often feature experts who provide valuable tips and advice on various aspects of life, making them a valuable resource for self-improvement.
In order to maintain control over what is being watched in my space, I have established clear rules for the television. If anyone dares to disobey these rules, they will face consequences. For instance, if someone chooses to watch a violent movie without my permission, they will be immediately disconnected from the Wi-Fi for the entire duration of their stay. They are still free to watch whatever they desire on their personal mobile gadgets. This strict policy is in place to protect any young children who may be present from being exposed to any negative or disturbing content that could potentially influence them negatively. If they think this rule is too strict, I give them freedom to leave, but they will be considered as persona-non-grata in my household. By implementing this strict policy, I aim to create a positive and nurturing environment for them. I understand that some guests may find this rule challenging, but it is essential for maintaining a harmonious atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable and protected.
Oh, and just for a bit of extra mischief, I'm gonna hide Netflix in the TV settings and slap on some good ol' Christian-oriented Pureflix instead. That'll teach 'em a lesson about assuming things, won't it? So, there you have it, my grand plan to bring some sanity back to our telly time. It's all about maintaining a positive vibe and making sure our visitors' kiddos don't get scarred for life by the gloom and doom that's all too common these days. I believe it is important to further enhance the positive atmosphere of our television experience. By incorporating more uplifting and family-friendly shows and movies into our selection, we can ensure that our visitors' children are not exposed to the negativity and darkness that often pervades our screens. It's about creating a space where everyone feels comfortable and entertained, while also instilling valuable morals and lessons through Christian-oriented content.
In the end, I reckon it's about time someone stepped up and put a bit of order into our TV habits. Sure, we all like a good show now and then, but it shouldn't come at the cost of our overall well-being or the innocence of the little ones. Call me the TV sheriff if you will, but I'm determined to keep our home screen a source of joy, laughter, and a bit of education. It might ruffle a few feathers, but I'm willing to stand my ground for what I believe is right – a television time that's positive, inclusive, and a little cheeky at times. By curating a selection of programmes that promote kindness, empathy, and diversity, we can create a space where everyone feels represented and uplifted. Let's make our living room a sanctuary of positivity, where laughter is contagious and learning is disguised as fun. Together, we can redefine what it means to have a good show and create a TV experience that brings us closer as a family.

Treehouse - Carl Grimes
Request: bestie I’m gonna need more of these carl grimes one shots I LOVED ‘KID’ SO CUTE SO WHOLESOME IM DEAD I don’t know if you need a hyper-specific request though…(I LOVE YOU MWAH MWAH!! ALL YOUR WORKS ARE SO WELL WRITTEN!!)
A/N: I love Carl...hopefully this is what you envisioned.
The Walking Dead Masterlist
You climbed up the make-shift ladder, head poking into the floor entrance of the treehouse before the rest of you emerged, smiling when you caught sight of Carl already sitting cross-legged on the floor.
Set out in front of him was the best version of a picnic anyone could muster these days. Two packs of that emergency food chilli mac and cheese that Rick had brought back, a can of pineapple, and some questionably old cans of soda that Carl had found in a car not too far from where you were camped out. The portable stove that he’d swiped from the house was already going, an old revere-ware pot warming the meal. Carl had left you a note, rather surprisingly, to meet him in this old treehouse that he had spotted on a run recently.
“Is this,” you paused, looking at the food and then at him again. He’d taken off his dad’s sheriff hat, the top of his hair matted down while the ends looked freshly washed, hints of a recent shower, a rarity these days. “Is this a date?”
“If that’s alright with you.” He replied. Carl had been thinking about asking you out for a while though it seemed stupid and foolish when he really dwelled on it for too long. It wasn’t like there was anywhere to go on an actual date and Rick was always careful with the food supply so sneaking stuff out for today, for something as simple as sitting up in a treehouse, was tricky. “I can’t exactly do dinner and a movie.”
“You could reenact a movie for me?” You teased, sitting down across from him.
There were a limited amount of memories that you could really hold on to from before all this started but they all ended in elementary school. You’d watched a lot of shows where people dated but had never been old enough to date. This, sitting here with Carl, was as close to a real date as you’d ever experienced. Stacked up to all the imaginary dates that you thought you’d go on when you were still ten years old, this one was better than you’d expected.
“Considering the last movie I probably watched was like Lion King or something...I’m not sure there’s much for me to reenact.” Carl joked.
“Oh come on, you could totally do Lion King,” you laughed, “hakuna matata...” you hummed, trying to remember the tune.
Carl scrunched his nose up, pursing his lips in a way that suggested he wasn’t entranced by your slightly off-key reimagining of the Lion King. “Maybe we’ll just stick to eating?”
“Yeah okay,” you replied, smiling around a bite of pineapple, “are you sure you won’t get in trouble for this Carl?”
“It’s fine,” he promised though he knew that if Rick saw him wasting resources to go on a date he wouldn’t be thrilled. “What my dad doesn’t know, won’t hurt him.”
“Where did you find this place?” You asked, reaching for a bowl of chili. You hadn’t been on any of the runs that Glenn usually put together, only because you always ended up with other odd jobs that Rick needed to have done. There were plenty of places that Carl had been that you hadn’t, including this place. You had been outside of the walls plenty of times with Carl but you hadn’t been this far before.
He’d drawn a crude map on the other side of the note that he left for you and you’d followed it out further that you usually went to the base of the treehouse, too busy watching for walkers to be excited or nervous about meeting up with Carl.
“On a run with Glenn,” he replied, “when I was a kid my dad always told me we would build a treehouse but we never got to it. I always wanted one though.”
“There was a kid down the street from me who had one but we weren’t friends...so ya know, I never got to play in it.” You said.
It felt weird to think about a life other than this one, to think about going to school and worrying about multiplication tables or recess or who sat with who at the lunch table. Most of your childhood had been this life, moving constantly, losing people, worrying about walkers and other survivors and food.
“If I had a treehouse, I totally would’ve invited you over.” Carl said, grabbing one of the water bottles that he’d brought with him.
“I mean, this is basically yours.”
“Ours.” Carl agreed. “Somewhere we can go and get away from everyone else. Although, Judith will probably try to tag along once she realizes that we’re sneaking off.”
“Oh definitely,” you laughed. It was odd to think, considering how much time you had spent with Carl, that you were feeling nervous now. Maybe it was just the atmosphere, the knowledge that this was a date and not just the usual every day that you spent together. Or maybe it was because you didn’t get the opportunity to freak out on the way over, too worried about walkers to think about dates. “I don’t know why...I’m so nervous.” You admitted.
“I mean...probably cause I made this awesome meal for you.” Carl joked, smiling when you laughed out loud at him.
“Probably.” You replied. “How long do you think until they notice we’re both missing?”
“My dad’s doing inventory all day with Michonne so...” he shrugged, “they may never know.” He raised his eyebrows and you couldn’t help but grin, leaning across the small space between the two of you to kiss him.
“Good, then we’ve got all day.”

Little Star (Glamrock Freddy x Reader)💛
| Glamrock Freddy x gn!reader | Warnings: none! Just some wholesome fluff | Freddy finds you upset and alone on your birthday and helps turn things around. |
Tumblr media
Well. Wasn't this spectacular?
It was your birthday today, and it seemed you would be spending it alone. When you mentioned to your "friends" that you wanted to celebrate at Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex, they laughed.
Who cared how old you were, the pizzaplex was awesome! There had never been a cooler place to celebrate your birthday. Bonnie Bowl, Monty Golf, Fazerblast, Roxy Raceway (out of order but still cool), Mazercise, and much more. Even though your friends had teased you about the idea, they'd still show up...right?
Your party was scheduled to start at 1:30pm and it was now past 3:00pm.
You sat in the party room at a table in the far corner, watching the show on stage. The glamrocks were passionately performing a song, and there were tons of kids dancing along in front of the stage. You envied them. Your pizza had gone cold but you didn't care. You weren't in the mood to eat. How could your friends be so mean? You took another sip of your soda and sighed. Maybe you should just go home? At least there you could cry in the privacy of your own bedroom.
You were so wrapped up in your thoughts, that you hadn't noticed the show was over and the animatronics were walking around. It wasn't until you were tapped on the shoulder that you finally snapped back into reality.
"Hello there!" a cheerful voice said.
It was none other than Freddy Fazbear. The giant animatronic smiled and waved at you.
You looked up and gave him your best fake smile. "Hi."
Freddy's expression grew concerned. "Are you alright? You seem, sad."
Tears suddenly blurred your vision, and you started softly crying. You hugged yourself tight and tried to compose yourself, but all of the pent-up emotions were too strong.
Freddy sat down at your table and gently rubbed your back. "There, there, superstar. Tell me what's the matter?"
You sniffed and wiped your eyes. "M-my friends didn't show up f-for my birthday party." you stuttered. "Today's my birthday."
"Oh, I'm so sorry. That is truly awful." Freddy said sympathetically.
"They said the pizzaplex was for kids." you continued. "But I love it here! There's so many fun things to do and games to play." you turned towards the animatronic bear. "And there's you. Your band. You guys are my favorite part of this place. I know all your songs," you blushed at your admission. "I even have posters in my room of you guys. But you're my favorite Freddy, you always have been."
Freddy pat your head cheerfully. "That is most wonderful to hear, I am glad my friends and I can bring you such joy. Tell me, superstar, what is your name?"
You smiled. "My name's Y/n." you held out your hand. "Nice to finally meet you, Freddy."
Freddy gently shook your hand. "Y/n, a wonderful name for a wonderful person. It is a pleasure to meet you as well."
"I feel a little better now, thank you." you nodded. "I'm sure you've got other guests to talk to, I don't want to take up any more of your time."
"Nonsense Y/n, it is your birthday today! And since you did not have a good start to it, I will stay with you and help make it special." Freddy stood up and offered his hand. "Come with me, let's celebrate your birthday properly."
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
You and Freddy spent the entire day together, having a blast. Freddy knew how to beat each of the games, so you ended up winning tons of tickets and getting some really cool prizes. He even won you a Glamrock Freddy plushie.
"For you, my special little star." Freddy handed the toy over and hugged you tight. "Happy birthday."
You had asked Freddy if he wanted to play fazerblast with you, but he seemed apprehensive.
"I would love to play with you, but the laser from the blasters temporarily blinds us. It is most uncomfortable. I secretly envy Monty and his sunglasses."
"Oh!" you set your backpack down and pulled out a pair of heart-shaped glasses. "You can wear these!" you said with a smile on your face.
Freddy took them and put them on.
"How do you like them?" you asked.
"They are strange," Freddy looked around. "But I think they will do the trick!"
You played 3 rounds of fazerblast to determine the winner. Freddy had a bit of a hard time adjusting to seeing out of the glasses at first, which was a little funny to watch. He kept stumbling around and accidentally bumping into the S.T.A.F. bots or the walls. You tried your best not to laugh, but it was quite the sight to see. You ended up winning since you were smaller and much quicker than Freddy. And you did run a little bit, against Freddy's warnings. He would gently scold you and remind you of the rules.
After fazerblast, you moved on to Bonnie Bowl. Freddy seemed a little saddened by being there, and you could only guess that it was due to Bonnie no longer being a part of the pizzaplex. Whenever he would stare sadly at the pictures of the purple rabbit or make a comment about how he missed his friend, you would offer him a hug or some comforting words. This seemed to cheer Freddy up a lot, and he thanked you many times for your kindness. Of course, since Freddy was a giant animatronic bear, he was much stronger than you and kept getting strikes. He sheepishly apologized every time and gave you tons of encouragement whenever it was your turn.
"You've got this Y/n!" Freddy cheered.
"Nice one! You're doing great!"
"Way to go superstar! I knew you could do it!"
You couldn't help but smile whenever Freddy would encourage you. No one had ever been so overwhelmingly supportive of you before. You appreciated his high fives and hugs, in fact, they made your cheeks flush. You could feel your smile grow whenever Freddy would turn his bright blue eyes towards you. There was nothing but laughter and smiles with him, and you enjoyed every moment.
Once you'd had your fill of winning games, you and Freddy got a ton of pizzas, soda, candy, and other treats and ate in his dressing room. You hadn't realized how hungry you were, and Freddy was concerned about the growling noises coming from you. He had thought you were malfunctioning or hurt until you explained what hunger was. He helped you order whatever you wanted, and made sure you didn't have to pay. By the time you were finished eating, you felt like going into hibernation. All that delicious food had made you sleepy. A yawn escaped your mouth as you stretched your arms.
"Are you alright?" Freddy questioned. "That noise you made, what was it?"
You laughed. It was cute the way Freddy inquired about your bodily functions. "It's just a yawn Freddy. It means I'm sleepy."
"Ah, I see. Well in that case," he stood up from his chair and knelt down to your spot on the floor. "You can stay here and recharge, I-I mean rest." Freddy lifted you into his arms and moved over to the couch as you laughed. He sat down and leaned back on the cushions, cradling you.
"I'm not a robot Freddy, I don't need to recharge."
"Apologies, I am not used to human terminology for things."
"It's okay, you're just funny is all." you smiled.
Even if your friends had shown up, you never would've had this much fun. In fact, you were glad they hadn't come. Real friends would never abandon each other like that. Today had been the best day of your life, no doubt. In fact, in your induced food coma, you were beginning to question if any of this was actually happening.
"Is this real?" you wondered out loud.
"Is what real, Y/n?" Freddy asked, tilting his head to the side.
"It feels like a dream. This whole day. It's been so perfect." you mused, your eyes becoming heavy. "I've never had such a fun time in my entire life."
Freddy chuckled and patted your head. "I can assure you Y/n, it is real. I am glad to hear you are having a better time than before. Everyone deserves to have a good birthday, especially you, superstar. You deserve it most of all."
"Thank you, Freddy. For being a good friend. A real friend." With one more yawn, you settled into Freddy's arms and shut your eyes. You were out cold within minutes.
Freddy pulled a small blanket over your sleeping frame and smiled. "Sweet dreams, my little star. And happy birthday."

Aone:
A cool, early summer breeze blew by, making the plastic bags in your guys’ hands rustle as the two of you walked side by side, on the way toward his house
“‘Nobu, what are you gonna show me?” You asked for the nth time, though you knew you weren’t going to get an answer
“We went grocery shopping for these veggies…” you mumbled to yourself, taking a peek to refresh your memory
He held the bag with the heavier snacks that you guys would eat and share and you help the lighter bag of veggies, specifically spinach, carrots, and even a few kiwis
Was he going to make you something to eat?
He was only silent as he looked down to you, giving you a soft, silent smile as you guys turned onto the block, approaching his home
The only plans you were sure of was that you two were going to watch a movie or two tonight while and snack a bit, eat pizza
But oh well
You opened your mind, just going with the flow, not worrying much about anything as long as you spent some time with Aone
Stepping inside, you were greeted warmly by his parents before they left very shortly to head out to relative’s house
This time, he took care of the veggies and produce bag while you helped yourself to some snacks, sorting the others that you weren’t too interested in, away
You snacked, standing beside him as he washed the fruits, occasionally feeding him before he had to focus, cutting the fruits diligently but also into very small, small cube shapes
He plated them neatly, alongside the greens and that was when he took your hand
“I want you to meet someone very special.” He spoke matter of factly before he brought you to the sun room, setting the plate of veggies and fruits down before disappearing once again
But when he returned, it was like there was a sparkle in his eye, his hands holding something, though you couldn’t really see what
“Who is it?” You asked as he knelt down right beside you
“This is berry, my tortoise.” He opened his hands, revealing a small tortoise walking from his cupped hands, right toward the plate of deliciousness as fast as she could
“Oh my gosh, she’s so precious, Nobu,” you gasped as you laid lower, closer to the floor, as close as you could without startling her or anything
Aone smiled happily, seeing his two favorite beings together, finally meeting
He went through the story of how he adopted her, how he bonded with her, learned to take care of her
And now that you had gotten the chance to meet her, the three of you could grow and see her grow
Though she would be living far much longer than the two of you
You two knelt low in the sun room, watching her bite the small-cut fruit, taking mighty but tiny chops into the spinach leaves
She was just so cute but made a perfect acquaintance for him
You couldn’t even think about a movie as the two of you were much more entertained just by watching Berry eat her meal
Looking beside you to Aone, he watched her like anyone would want to be looked at by their loved on - almost like he was looking at her just like he was looking at you
With his chin resting in his hands while the two of you laid on your bellies, elbows propping yourselves up, you leaned over and pressed your finger to his nose
“Boop.”
And you knew for a long time that he never really was one to show emotions, but you had never seen his cheeks turn pink so fast while Berry walked in between the two of you
Tumblr media

Ushijima:
“Mm, this team was good,” Wakatoshi spoke stoically as ever as you leaned back into him, his arm draped over the back of the couch
Dinner had already been eaten and the night was very young
Though you did feel a little lethargic from how you were positioned
His abdomen providing you the perfect pillow, but his lap was even better as you laid yourself across from him
“What team?” You asked, turning to glance at the tv, suddenly seeing a closeup of hinata and kageyama
“Argentina,” he spoke stoically and that was when you remembered the game the two of you were watching
It was the pre-olympic qualifiers with the Japan team and the Argentina team, of course with Oikawa Tooru as their setter, a setter Wakatoshi highly approved of
You did your best to stifle a yawn, only for it to grow into an even bigger yawn
“Tired?” He looked down to you, resting his hand on your baby bump
“Mmhm,” you blinked slowly, bringing your hand to his, feeling his warmth
“Do you want to go upstairs? I can carry you.”
“Oh, no, no Toshi. I’m far too heavy for that but I just wanna stay here with you.” You adjusted, turning to your other side that faced the back of the couch, facing in to his stomach
It was so perfect
The couch supported your heavy belly, letting your back rest for the first time in awhile
You were right there besides your husband, able to smell his fresh body wash his hand now resting on your arm, stroking it as he continued to look down at you
“It would be no problem. I can carry you at any weight, so don’t worry,” his lips curled up a little, the tickling feeling of his thumb now on your cheek
“I wanna stay here with you,” you looked up to him, wrapping your fingers around the bottom edge of his shirt
“Alright, then.” He continued watching his game, rewatching the footage to prepare for the actual olympic games
When you first met him, Wakatoshi was even quieter, not really talking much unless asked to, and.. not slow per se, but he would have to ask about jokes as well as online trends
He was very focused on himself, doing things he knew would be the best for him and here he was
He was a lot more open with you, mostly because you two had been married and you were pregnant with your guys’ first kid
Things were for sure changing, life was changing and
You got to spend it with Wakatoshi
You further nuzzled your face into his abdomen, liking how warm it was, despite his strange it would sort of look to others if they just walked in and saw you rubbing your face into your husband’s stomach but you couldn’t help it but touch and feel him before he would be gone again and you would be alone and needy for him
He smelled so good, he was so warm
You could’ve, you wanted to fall asleep right then and there in his lap but there was something else that just didn’t want you to inside
Looking up to him, your eyes practically half open, he was so focused on the game, he had that face on, which was basically his everyday face, that you couldn’t tell what he was really thinking
But you just knew it was about the game
Reaching up, your rest your hand on his pec and shoulder, getting his attention
“Hm? Do you want to go upstairs?”
Giving him no answer, you simply reached over and pressed your finger to his nose, booping it
A look of confusion spread on his face for a moment before he did the same, slowly reaching over and awkwardly booping your nose too
You hummed, content for some reason that he had done it
“I’ll stay here with you,” you spoke softly, snaking your hand under the hem of his shirt, resting it on his lower back, a feeling he was very much used to at this point
Every touch from you, he was used to
“Alright then. Let me know when you would like to go upstairs and I will carry you, Y/N.” He ever so carefully pulled you closer, leaning to the side to pull the folded, light blanket to throw it over, draping it over your body
“M’kay,” you hummed, before finally reaching for his hand that rest on your arm, bringing it to your face so you could hold his hand, feeling him as you let yourself doze off completely

Ok so I love platonic related yanderes so when you said you liked platonic yandere I knew it was my time to shoot my shot.
The idea is surrounded by yandere father pro hero shinsou. Basically shinso find out that a girl he was with had a baby, she never told him so he didn't know. Also the mother keeps the child away from any information about their father, so the kid doesn't even know about pro hero shinsou.
Shinso only finds out about the kid when the kid is already in school and has developed a similar quirk to shinso, one scene as villainous, and originally shinsou thought it best to stay out of his kids life. But when he realized his kid is being bullied and not even their mom will help, he decides that he need be in their life, and that everyone else needs to be out of it.
What I'm requesting is a short story about shinsou watching and taking his kid ,along with the kids reaction, who is terrified, they don't know this guy. I think it's would be funny/cute if the kid tries to use their quirk on shinsou, but fails. And shinsou is little proud that his kid can defend themselves, even though they won't have to any more.
Anys sorry for the length of this request ,I love your stuff and can't wait for more.
♡ Saved ♡
(A/N: I love platonic yanderes!!! I hope you like this, darling, I thought this was super cute 💖 I wanna write more platonic yanderes sometime, they help me cope a lot and comfort me!!! And it’s alright, the length of this request, and thank you 🥺🥺)
Content Warning ⚠️: Yandere, kidnapping, dad!Shinsou is so wholesome, readers mom isn’t the greatest, bullying
Summary: Shinsou finds out about you, his secret child who was kept away from him (Yan!Dad!Shinsou x GN!Child!reader)

Shinsou didn’t get into relationships much, however in one of his few relationships the girl with him had ended it off very quickly. Therefore he didn’t really think of her much. That was until he ran into you, a young child, lost, looking for their mother. You couldn’t be older than five or six.
Although that wasn’t what caught him off guard, what caught him off guard was your deep purple eyes. The purple eyes, the eye bags, the face shape, the nose. It was all the exact same as his. However before he could even think about it, his ex-girlfriend had showed up, picking you up and carrying you away. You waving at him over your mom’s shoulder as you left.
Shinsou would’ve left it, however with how similar some of your features are to his, he couldn’t get you out of his mind. So, he reached out to his ex. He asked about you, although under the excuse of wanting to catch up. Only to find out you were his child, that was why she broke up with him. She directly told him that she didn’t want you two meet.
“Excuse me?” Shinsou calls, watching you turn around to look at him, you holding to your backpack tightly as you were walking home from school. Of course Shinsou would not listen to his ex’s words. You were his child! He had already missed so much of your life, your first crawl, your first words, your first steps, your first day of school, everything! He was not going to miss anymore of his child’s life.
“Y-Yes?” You ask, turning around to him. He could tell you were a shy kid, just from the way you acted and the way your mother talked about you. Although he could only guess the reason why you’re so shy, the bullying. The bullying, the same bullying over your quirk that he has went though. Your mother even dared to mention this to him, under the excuse that ‘kids will be kids’ and that the bullying will ‘toughen you up’.
Shinsou is about to answer however before he can, you try to use your quirk to brainwash him. Of course it doesn’t work on him, however he can’t help but be a bit proud of you. You used your quirk well and it seemed you did in an attempt to keep yourself safe, even if Shinsou would never hurt you.
“No need to use your quirk, kid. I’m your dad and a hero, I won’t hurt you” He says, leaning down to your level. You tilt your head at him, him demonstrating his quirk although it doesn’t work on you. Your quirks are the same, and you notice the physical similarities as well.
“B-But mommy says I don’t have a dad?” You say, Shinsou smiling at you. He didn’t want you to be with your mother anymore. Especially considering she didn’t take your bullying situation seriously. “I’m sorry that she lied to you, kid” He continues talking to you, telling you that he talked to your mom and knows your situation. Even mentioning your bullying, causing you to break down in tears.
“Mommy s-says to just deal with the bullies” you sniffle “But they hurt me, and I don’t like it” you say, being swooped into a hug by Shinsou. You never got hugs from your mom, especially never ones this comforting. You wrap your small arms around his neck. It’s nice, you like hugs even if you barely ever got them.
“I know it hurts, I used to get bullied for my quirk too” Shinsou says, still hugging you, your eyes widening. So you weren’t alone? You thought you were the only one dealing with this kind of situation. “You’re more than your quirk, alright, Y/n?” He asks, looking at your large eyes and chubby face. Admittedly he didn’t like children to much, but you were his child. And already knows he loves you more than anything.
You grab his hand once he’s stood back up. “I like you more than mommy” you say to him, you would never say that to your mom, however you said it to him. You feel more comfortable with him than her. Shinsou was so much nicer, giving you affection, comforting you, all things your mom never gave you.
“Tell you what, how about you come stay with me instead?” He says, you smiling and nodding excitedly. Although he’s proud that you used your quirk to try and stop him, he’s glad that he was able to save you. You could’ve so easily been hurt by someone, after all you were walking home by yourself. But he knows that he’s doing a good thing, he’s a hero after all.
Shinsou is going to be the best dad he can for you. Much better than your mother, he would keep you safe, he would keep you away from your bullies, he would give you affection, he would give you the life you deserved.

spoopy couples costumes & activities
warnings: probably language
tags: dream team x gn!reader + bonus corpse husband x gn!reader
words: nunya
A/N: just realized two seconds ago halloween themed fics are literally my fav so i wanted to write something about who you two would dress up as and do the night of halloween :> also these costumes have literally nothing to do with gender, they might be gender coded and have feminine/masculine clothing but tbh wear what you want i bet it’s hot either way. also these guys are friends but not designated groups they’re just some of my fav streamers even if they aren’t all exactly mcyt
-
dream:
ur bet ur bottom dollar he is a very simple man when it comes to costumes
he was definitely dressed as a highlighter one halloween in highschool and wore all his typical middle school boy neon clothes (you know the ones). thought he was a comedian for that one
maybe he’d like wearing a minecraft-themed sort of fit , like he’s a cactus and youre steve and you make prick jokes all night
kind of one brand tbh…
maybe you being two minecraft flowers could be a cuter one though, little bit more wholesome!
he’s for sure a scary adventure park enjoyer
takes you to one of those awful ones where the scary dressed people try to fight you and scare you
he’s the resident Big Man but metaphorically shits his pants when someone comes after him with a chainsaw
spends the rest of the night drinking an apple cider slushee and huddling close to you as you two watch small children jump like two feet in the air from a dude in a clown costume (come on, it’s a little funny)
george:
george likes costumes that are BARELY costumes
he’s like jim from the office on halloween. usually lazy and wearing whatever he wants
he definitely has pulled that name tag shit and wrote “ur mom’s bf” on it or something
literally begged you to dress up as two among us avatars
he doesn’t feel like doing any sort of party or function on halloween, so it’s really alright if you two have joke costumes
he does get you to venture on a walk later, hoping that strangers will think you’re kids trick or treating and maybe give you some free candy
but eventually you return home (with a mars bar from a mom dressed as grapes!) and settle in for the night
you just watch scream and shove candy down your throat the whole night. george insists you watch the conjuring but spends the last half of the movie hiding behind his fingers and jumping every time you absentmindedly play with the hairs on the back of his neck
sapnap:
he’s going as a pokémon trainer and that’s that.
you’re dressed as his favorite pokémon (i can’t remember it even though i sweated all of his pokémon streams don’t hate me) and it’s kind of a great play on words! he catches the light of his life by chance of a pokéball ;)
fixes his hat all night and fusses over if you can see his hair on the sides (“it’s too long Y/N!!! should i cut it off” which is just absurd)
he’s more of a partier on halloween; he wants to show off the brilliance that is your couples’ costume to anyone and everyone
interrogates strangers on if they know who you two are and actually ends up making friends with this IT person who could talk power ups literally all night and they truly do
goes home feeling very loved because not only does he now have a new pokémon nerd to vent to but you got him a toffee apple and held hands with him the whole way home
(BONUS) corpse:
corpsie boo likes spending as much time with you as possible
attached at the hip even when you get up from the couch to make popcorn
he’s a 90s creepy movie enjoyer
edward scissorhands, nightmare before christmas, hocus pocus, casper (christina ricci of course)
he literally treats those pumpkin tear-apart cookies in the tin like they’re the most prestigious hard to get delicacy of modern society
the night consists of movies n popcorn n cookies and caramel apple suckers , my personal fav
-
A/N: this is a very low budget hc but enjoy! lemme know what you think and don’t be afraid to lurk in my inbox

What I Thought About "Them's the Break's, Kid" from The Owl House
Salutations, random people on the internet who certainly won't read this. I am an Ordinary Schmuck. I write stories and reviews and draw comics and cartoons.
You know, it's always great when a series has not just one but two cute relationships to root for. Not only that but two relationships on opposite sides of the spectrum. Because while we have Luz and Amity as the young couple and the realistic portrayal of two girls going through their first relationship, we also have Eda and Raine as the older couple with the dramatic showing of a broken relationship trying to get back to where it started. And while I'm definitely a Lumity fan (you all know this by now), I can't help but give Raeda its dues. I mean, for f**k's sake, I made an entire AU where they stayed together. That should tell you how much I care about these two.
And now, we get an entire episode dedicated to them! More specifically, an episode about how they met. Which is undoubtedly going to be cute to watch...or heartbreaking. I'm not sure because I wrote this intro last night in preparation for today's episode. And it seems plausible given how this is the sadder half of Season Two (and holy s**t, does it show). But I'm sure my heart won't be too shattered this week. Right future me?
Oh, yeah, no worries. This episode is adorable.
Sounds great! Now, let's find out together how heartbreaking or adorable "Them's the Breaks, Kid" really is!
Spoilers ahead.
WHAT I LIKED
Luz Making New Glyphs: This is neat. Now, Luz has some new glyphs, now mastering both water and air. All she needs is an Earth glyph, and she might as well be the Avatar!
(There, I made a Last Airbender reference. Do I get my cookie this time?!)
Jokes aside, this moment is a bit undercut by the fact that the main reason why Luz is doing this is to distract herself again. Don't get me wrong, I like seeing Luz add more to her arsenal, but I'm not loving this little habit she's forming by doing work to avoid problems. It tells me that she learned nothing from "Reaching Out." But I'm alright with it. I mean, I'm not ok with my favorite character inadvertently making life hard on herself, but I like seeing more flaws in Luz. A character who is perfect in every way is also uninteresting. So, while I'm sure that Luz throwing herself into work will absolutely backfire, at least it'll be an entertaining character conflict, albeit a heartbreaking one.
(Also, are we just going to breeze past the fact that Luz has a petrification spell now? Because I mean...I think we now know how Belos will die.)
Why Eda Tells the Story of How She Met Raine: THIS HOUSE STANS EDA BEING A GOOD MOM!
Seriously, Eda wanting to tell a story she knows Luz will love just so she won't feel sad anymore is all kinds of sweet. It's still not a healthy solution to let Luz distract herself from her issues rather than confront them, but it shows how much Eda cares for her by doing something Eda knows will put Luz in a better mood. It's wholesome found-family moments like this that I live for, and I can't help but gush at the cuteness of it all.
Eda and Lilith: The same goes for wholesome sibling moments.
Yet, this scene with Eda and Lilith has a heartbreaking tint. Because, well...we know how this ends. We know that these cute sisterly moments fade away due to a mistake that Lilith will regret for the rest of her life. And, the worst part is, you see how that will start. Like the way Lilith gets insecure about Eda being overly correct about a question or the different reasons that they get excited about being in the Emperor's Coven. Lilith focused more on power and status, while Eda was all about the chaos. This proves that their disconnect wasn't sudden, nor was Lilith's betrayal. There are hints through Eda and Lilith's interactions that prove the day of their duel was only inevitable, making this scene all the more bittersweet. Because as cute as it is, it was only the precursor of something tragic to come, showing that their darkest days are just ahead of them.
Principal Faust: Or their darkest days are just a few minutes from now.
Here's something about Principal Faust: I hate him and everything he represents. He's everything I feared Bump would be as a cartoonishly evil principal who cares more about control rather than his students. And yet...he's in the "liked" section. Why? Well, for one, his design is wicked. Seriously, as twisted as this man is, at least he looks cool.
As for the real reason, it's because Faust's actions make me love Principal Bump even more.
Principal Bump: It warms my frickin' heart knowing that Bump always cared about his students, even if troublemakers like Eda were around. His ideal is that no one is beyond redemption, and the lengths he goes through to give everyone the benefit of the doubt just gives me more reasons to love the man! He genuinely cares about students, to the point where he'd confront a coven head that's ten times more powerful than him because he knows it's unfair to rip away someone's reward that they've earned fair and square. That and all the child-endangerment that Terra put the students through. It's everything a person could ask for in a principal. Not a tyrant, but a reasonable caretaker who actually likes children. It's just a better, well-rounded character compared to someone like Faust.
Terra Snapdragon (Spelt it right this time…): But, as much as I adore a responsible caretaker, there's something to appreciate about someone so maniacal. I think I said Terra Snapdragon is the type of person who would kill you nicely. Now, I'm convinced she would straight up mangle your body but have a warm, motherly smile when doing it. Seriously, though, this woman's insane, and I'm all for it. She's terrifying but entertainingly so. Where a villain like Belos makes me quiver in my boots when he shows up, Terra is more or less on the same line as a Batman villain. And, no, it's not because she has the same powers as Poison Ivy. It's because her personality is so strong that I'd have a blast watching her, even if it is doing something dastardly. Of course, if she'd exist in real life, I'd certainly head for the hills. But, because this is a work of fiction, I'll enjoy the crazy lady who lets children fight each other over ribbons for all she's worth.
(Also, it's probably a mistake on the character designers' part to make her look hot when she was young. Doesn't this series have enough milfs for creepy men on the internet to drool over?!)
Although as entertaining as Terra is, she's not the standout star of this episode.
Eda and Raine:  Oh, how perfect these two were in this.
If you didn't understand why these two were perfect in "Eda's Requiem," you'll get it here. Eda and Raine are like partners in crime, with both working well together in both sync and in harmony. What's even better is that you get why Eda falls for Raine. While Eda can be all for chaos, Raine leans more toward controlled chaos, knowing how to let Eda run loose without getting in trouble. And if Raine being an evil genius isn't enough to make Eda fall for them, everything else about Raine will. The way that they're a skilled and powerful witch can match Eda's level is great, but how they offered Eda advice and tried to calm her down from her anxieties shows a person as compassionate as they are devious. But that's why we know Eda fell for Raine. On the other end, we understand that Eda brings fun to Raine's life, making them laugh and think of neat tricks they wouldn't have thought of before. You see how both get something out of their relationship, leading to some interactions that are best described as cute, wholesome, cute, funny, cute, cute, and cute.
"You said cute, like, five times."
BECAUSE THEY'RE CUTE!
However, this is Season 2B. So, not everything has to stay wholesome. Where's that anxiety?
Covens Vs Wilds: Ah. There it is.
As far as I can tell, this game is like "Cowboys and Indians," but worse. Way, way, way, way, way, way, way worse. Because Covens vs. Wilds sounds like a game designed for fear-mongering, and it feels...icky that there's a children's game about some witches running to avoid getting caught by the more powerful ones chasing after them. It's pretty sick and twisted, showing the dark side of the Emperor's Coven through the lens of what could be an innocent children's game. The innocence only ends when you think about it longer than a second.
As for the game itself, it's pretty intense. The second the game starts, everyone goes into Hunger Games mode, attacking one another and giving people barely enough time to catch their breath. Although, I guess a good thing that came from this is that it did let us see a powerful Eda again, which honestly felt jarring given how powerless she's been this season. So, it's nice to see a return to form again.
Terra Preventing Eda’s Expulsion: It's also nice how everything works out in the end.
I guess if there's one thing to complain about "Them's The Breaks, Kid," it would be that it tries to have big stakes even though we all know how it will end. Eda won't get expelled, won't hurt Raine, nor will Terra actually kill them both. Still, I'll give the episode credit: The fact that I knew the ending didn't bother me. Heck, at one point, I forgot I was watching a flashback due to getting sucked into the drama and adorableness. It's why I felt relieved that Terra gave Eda a solution to her problem. I was so invested in the story that I didn't care if I knew it would all work out. It was still fun to see how.
Raine Starting Eda’s Apple Blood Addiction: And it's funny to see how Eda got her Apple Blood addiction. But, yeah, it's also sweet watching these two bond over good/awful juice, and taking turns to lovingly stare at each other is such a solid note to end on. Couldn't ask for a better way to finish off such a cute and wholesome--
Raine Changing Terra’s Tea with the Whistle: …What?
Raine is Working with Darius?: What?
The Day of Unity Involves a Draining Spell: What?!
The Door is Being Moved!: WHAT?!
Raine Not Wanting to get Eda Involved so She Wouldn’t be in Danger: WHA–Ok…That is a lot. This is the literal last minute, and the writers threw so much at us...and I love it. I love that the writers managed to make a wholesome episode about how Eda and Raine met, but they kept the plot going with all these major reveals that still work with the episode's context. It's not like in Amphibia, where the ending stings feel like they could go anywhere. Episodes like "Anne Vs. Wild," "Lost in Newtopia," and "Froggy Little Christmas" end with scenes that don't really match with what happens before them, and it just feels like the writers wanted to insert these in the season but weren't sure how. Now here, in "Them's the Breaks, Kid," the ending works. It takes knowledge that the episode foreshadowed and, because everything was Raine-heavy anyway, ending with a reveal of what they've been doing the whole time just felt right. It's another perfect end to another perfect episode.
WHAT I DISLIKED
No, again, this episode is perfect. I might hate Faust, and adding stakes doesn't make sense for a flashback, but I don't care. Those are nitpicks compared to everything else done right.
IN CONCLUSION
"Them's the Breaks, Kid" is another A+. The Raeda moments are amazing, the insights into these characters are better, and the story's pretty solid. I was already a Raeda shipper before this, but after? Let's just say that, now more than ever, I'm hoping for the best for these two and that nothing can break them apart.

A Nice Christmas
Thanks to @gayhistorynerd for the prompt, see here (I kind of deviated from it a little maybe a lot but the story still stemmed from this prompt)
Pairing: Wilhelm × Simon
Summary: Wilhelm may have denied being in the sex tape, but that doesn't mean that the world has forgotten. The Christmas break proves to be difficult for both Simon and Wilhelm, one suffering from ongoing harassment and the other feeling completely isolated, and they find that they can't help but be drawn back to each other.
Word Count: 4.5k
A/N: This took me so long to write because I got writer's block right after I started it. This doesn't have a super happy ending because I wanted to try and keep it pretty realistic, but it is pretty sweet and wholesome.
Taglist: @probablyprocrastinatingrightnow @rika90 @angelwilhelm

Wilhelm had never felt more alone than he did being home for Christmas break. He spent as much time as was physically possible holed up in his bedroom, not wanting to see or talk to anyone, especially not his mother. He hadn’t turned his phone on for three days, he had bitten his nails down to the nailbeds and he hardly had any appetite. The ache in his chest was constant and unyielding.
He lay in the dark most of the time, his curtains closed throughout the day and only sometimes opened at night to let the moonlight in. Besides that, he didn’t have much idea of how time was passing.
He did know that it was Christmas eve though. And it must be the morning because nobody had come to drag him out of his bedroom to join the celebrations. A cursory peek around the curtain confirmed that, as Wilhelm saw that the sun hadn’t even fully risen yet.
A deep breath settled the stone in his stomach, and he reached for his phone with a shaky hand.
When the device turned on it immediately started going crazy with notifications, and Wilhelm felt his heart rate increase with every buzz.
5 messages from August
Ignore.
10 messages from Mamma
Ignore.
2 missed calls from Felice
Wilhelm paused in swiping away the notifications. Felice had called him twice and sent him three messages. He clicked on the message notification, sitting back against the wall and holding in a breath without realising it.
Felice: Hey Wille, how are you feeling being home?
Felice: I just wanted to check in but I can’t get a hold of you, I hope you’re doing alright
Felice: You probably don’t want to talk but you can call or text me whenever you do
Wilhelm sighed. Of all the people that he thought that he could depend on, Felice was the only one that he still had. He swallowed the lump in his throat and called her back.
It rang for a while before she answered, and he’d almost decided to hang up the call when it stopped ringing.
“Wille, good morning.” Felice greeted, cheerful but clearly tired. “Merry Christmas.”
“Yeah, merry Christmas Felice.” Wilhelm replied feebly. His voice was hoarse from disuse.
“Are you alright? Do you want to talk about something?”
“Uhm, I- I don’t know, I just... I don’t know.” He stuttered, wrapping his free arm around himself.
“Okay, well, what are your plans for today?”
“I’m not sure, I haven’t really been talking to anyone. What, uh, what are your plans?”
“Oh, you know, just the usual. We’ll watch Kalle Anka's Jul and play some games before dinner, then we’ll open presents.” She explained. The tinny sound of her voice through the phone was actually quite calming.
“What about for the rest of the break?”
“Um, I’m going to New York to see Maddie for New Year, so that’ll be fun. And I’m going back to Bjärstad on Boxing Day to see Sara. I’m gonna stay there just for one night.”
“So you’ve been talking to Sara a lot then?” Wilhelm questioned, moving to bite at his almost non-existent nails.
“Yeah, of course.”
“Has she said anything about Simon? Do you know if he’s alright?” His words came out more rushed than he had intended. Clearly, he was more eager for some sort of information on Simon than he had thought.
“Um, she hasn’t said much but I think he’s pretty okay.” Felice replied, but it was followed by a small sigh that let Wilhelm know that there was more to the story. “Sara says that things have mostly gone back to normal, but Simon goes out a lot less and she’s had to make her Instagram private. I think they’ve had a few people show up at their house.”
Wilhelm swallowed hard, a feeling of guilt crawling under his skin. Simon’s Instagram account had been private ever since the video had been leaked, so it seemed that now people had found Sara’s too. They had attention on them that they had never signed up for, and Wilhelm knew that it was his fault and he felt terrible for that.
“Okay.” He replied shakily. There was a short silence before Felice spoke again.
“How are you, Wilhelm? Really?” She asked.
“Lonely.” He answered. “Listen, I have to go. I need to take a shower before someone comes demanding that I take part in the Christmas celebrations.”
“Alright well, call me back whenever, okay?”
“Yeah, okay. Bye, Felice.”
“Bye, Wille. Merry Christmas.”
“Merry Christmas.”
Wilhelm ran a hand over his face, letting out a groan of frustration and sadness. Why couldn’t he just be a normal kid?
He stared down at his phone in his lap, gnawing at the nail of his right thumb in contemplation. With a shaking breath and trembling fingers, he picked it back up, opened his conversation with Simon and typed a short message. He dropped his phone in mild panic as soon as he hit send, and rubbed his hand over his chest as he took a deep, steadying breath.
+ + +
“Simon, wake up. Rosh and Ayub will be here soon.” Sara’s voice stirred Simon from his sleep and he rolled over to look at her. She was already dressed.
“What time is it?” He asked with a yawn.
“Nine o’clock. Get up and come help with breakfast.”
“Yeah, yeah. I’m getting up.”
Sara rolled her eyes and left the room, and Simon reached out to his bedside table blindly until his hand landed on his phone. He squinted at the screen as he sat up, faltering when he saw the notification on the screen.
Wilhelm: Merry Christmas Simon
He felt his heart race as he stared at the screen, only snapping out of it when he heard Sara shouting at him from downstairs. He blinked, dropped his phone and set about getting dressed.
Every Christmas eve since they were ten, Simon, Sara, Rosh and Ayub would have breakfast together and then go for a long walk. It was tradition for them at this point, but Simon found himself unable to feel excited for it this year. It was all well and good to pretend like life was going on as normal, but it was hard not to feel uncomfortable when people stared at him everywhere he went.
Rosh and Ayub arrived just as he and Sara were finishing up making breakfast, and they exchanged Christmas well-wishes as they sat down to eat.
“You’re being real quiet over there, Simme. You alright?” Ayub asked after a while, and Simon realised that he’d been completely zoned out.
“Sorry, just thinking.”
“About Wilhelm?” Sara questioned. Simon pushed a bite of food into his mouth and shrugged.
“You have to move on, Simon.” Rosh said. “I know you care about him but he’s not worth all the trouble that he comes with.”
“I know. That’s why I ended things.” He replied. “It still sucks though.”
“You’ll get over him eventually.” Sara told him, putting a comforting hand on his for a few seconds before going back to her food. Simon smiled slightly.
He didn’t tell them about the text.
Despite all of that, he was in high spirits when they set out for their walk, happily joking and laughing with his friends, and they made it half an hour before he heard the first comment.
“That’s the guy from the sex tape.” Muttered a girl to her friend as they passed, and Simon felt the smile fall from his face.
“Just ignore them.” Sara told him, wrapping an arm around one of his. He nodded, but it had gotten to him. For the rest of their walk from that point, Simon felt like every person that they passed was looking at him and judging him.
They walked both Rosh and Ayub back to their houses before heading back to theirs just a bit past noon. They had almost gotten home when they were approached by a group of teenagers probably slightly younger than them.
“Are you the guy from that viral sex tape?” One of the boys asked unabashedly, the group coming right up in front of Simon and Sara and blocking their path.
“Uh, I don’t want to talk about that.” Simon replied stiffly, still trying to be polite.
“Oh my god, it is him!” A girl exclaimed.
“Was it actually the crown prince in the video?” Another chimed. Simon felt lightheaded.
“He already said that it wasn’t.” He deflected, trying to sidestep the group.
“Yeah, but there’s a lot of people that don’t actually believe him.” The girl laughed; actually laughed, as if this hadn’t been an earth shattering event for Simon.
“If it wasn’t Prince Wilhelm then who was it in the video?” A boy asked, and that was when Simon spotted the phone filming him and his stomach dropped.
“I’m not discussing my sex life with a bunch of strangers.” He scoffed in disbelief, shouldering his way past the group with Sara close behind him. “Please leave me alone.”
“You could just tell us if it was actually the prince or not.” One of them pressed, the group now following after Simon. “If it wasn’t him then you don’t have anything to hide.”
“Oh my god, did the royal family pay you off? Did they make you sign an NDA!?”
“Were you, like, boyfriends? Or was it just a hookup?”
Simon kept walking, keeping his head down and not answering any of the questions being hurled at him. He could sense that Sara was just as tense beside him. The group followed them for a full block before Simon finally lost his cool and came to a dead stop, turning to face them.
“I’m not going to answer your questions. The fact that you’re following me is not going to make me answer your questions. I’ve had my privacy majorly invaded once already and now you’re invading it again. I’m trying to enjoy Christmas with my sister and you’re chasing me with a camera, I’m sick of people harassing me.” He fumed, making sure to meet the eye of every one of them at some point. “Whatever you choose to believe is not my problem. It doesn’t matter whether you think that the crown prince is telling the truth or you choose to make up some type of theory, I deserve my privacy.”
He didn’t wait for any type of response before he turned around and walked away, thankful to find that they weren’t going to follow him anymore.
“You handled that well.” Sara said quietly once they had turned the next corner. Simon didn’t reply.
When they got home, he went straight upstairs without a word. He slammed his bedroom door shut and buried his face in his pillow, unable to hold the tears back any longer.
By that same evening, the video was viral.
+ + +
I bet that girl was right and the royal family made him sign an NDA
If he didn’t want people to think it was the prince he would have just said that it wasn’t so either the prince was lying or this guy is seeking attention
He’s literally a kid why can’t people just leave him alone??
I don’t care if it was the prince in the tape or not, this guy is hot
The way he said that people are making up theories makes me think that it actually wasn’t the prince in the video
I feel bad for this guy, getting followed around like that must suck
Wilhelm scrolled through the captions and comments on the seemingly endless posts of the video of Simon, feeling like somebody had a vice grip on his heart.
The first time he saw the video had been right after Christmas Eve dinner. He’d had a full blown panic attack and locked himself in the bathroom for half an hour. When he came out, his mother had tried to talk to him about the politics of the situation and he had immediately retreated into his bedroom once again. He missed Erik desperately.
He hadn’t been able to sleep, he'd only gotten about three hours of broken, fitful sleep all night, and now he couldn’t pry himself away from his phone. He knew that it was bad for him, he knew that it was making him feel terrible, but he wanted to know what people were saying.
He had been hesitant to text Simon, especially since he hadn’t received a reply to the merry Christmas text that he had sent in the morning, but in the end he mustered the courage to reach out. He had asked how Simon was doing and apologised for getting him into this situation. He wasn’t surprised when no answer came.
Christmas day was proving to be probably the worst day of Christmas break for Wilhelm. His chest felt like it was bursting open and like it was an empty chasm at the same time. He didn’t eat breakfast or lunch, he didn’t respond to the knocks that came at his door. He felt like he was trapped in a glass box and someone was shaking it.
Wilhelm didn’t know how long he had been scrolling through multiple different social media platforms when his phone buzzed in his hand and an incoming call appeared on the screen. He faltered, sitting up and almost dropping his phone, when he saw that it was Simon. He ran a nervous hand through his hair as he raised the phone to his ear.
“Simon?” He croaked.
“Hi, Wilhelm.” The reply came through the phone, and Wilhelm felt his shoulders relax at the sound of Simon’s voice.
“Hi. H-how are you.” He fumbled, and Simon sighed on the other end.
“I’m okay, I guess. As okay as I can be after... well, you know.”
“Yeah, I know. I’m sorry for putting you in this situation.”
“This wasn’t your fault, Wille.” Simon muttered. “I just wish things were different.”
“Why, um... why did you call?” Wilhelm asked. There was a short stretch of silence that rung in his ears before Simon answered.
“I just wanted to hear your voice, I guess.” He confessed, and Wilhelm couldn’t help the soft smile that pulled at his lips. “Honestly, I was kind of surprised that you didn’t delete my number or something.”
“Why would I have done that?”
“I don’t know, I guess I just thought that you weren’t supposed to have any ties with me since you said that it wasn’t you in the video.” Wilhelm winced at that.
“It's not like my contacts list is available to the public.” He replied, trying to keep his tone light. “I’m not gonna let that kind of thing get in my head again.”
“Is your mum mad?” Simon asked, and now it was Wilhelm’s turn to sigh.
“I’m not sure, I kind of shut myself in my room so that I wouldn’t have to deal with her.” He answered tiredly. “How is your family?”
“Uh, shaken. Sara’s off in her own world with her sketchbooks and mamá can’t go for more than an hour without checking on us both, but we’re handling it.”
“I’m so sorry.”
“You don’t have to apologise.”
There was a silence again. Wilhelm ran his hand across his leg, back and forth in a soothing motion, not sure what he should say but not wanting the conversation to finish. In the end, Simon spoke first.
“Did you mean it, what you said before you left for the break?” He asked softly.
“Yeah, I did.” Wilhelm answered without hesitation. “I know it wasn’t a good time to say it, and you probably didn’t want to hear it, but I just had to say it out loud. At least once.”
Silence again. Wilhelm heard Simon sigh, and pursed his lips nervously.
“I miss you.” Simon said.
“I miss you too.” Wilhelm replied with a nervous yet relieved chuckle. “I miss you a lot.”
Another pause.
“Where do we go from here, Wille?” Simon whispered.
“I don’t know.” Wilhelm mumbled. “But I... I want to fix this. Or at least just try to fix it. You don’t deserve to be harassed like this, and it’s my fault and I feel terrible.”
“It’s not your fault.” Simon reassured with a sigh. “It was everything else. We still didn’t do anything wrong, and that includes you.”
“No, I did. I promised we would be in this together and I broke that promise.”
“I understand why you did it. And I’m not mad at you. Honestly, having thought about it, you probably made the best decision for my sake too. I mean, I’m getting harassed enough as it is already. I can’t imagine what it would be like if you had told the truth.”
“I’m still sorry anyway.” Wilhelm said softly, and Simon chuckled. “So, um, Felice told me she was visiting Bjärstad tomorrow.”
“Yeah, her and Sara have gotten close. It’s nice, you know, that Sara’s made friends. And Felice is cool.”
“Yeah, she’s great.”
There was silence again, and Wilhelm bit at his nails thinking that Simon was done with the conversation.
“Are you alright, Wille?” Simon asked after a while. “I know this is your first Christmas without Erik, and I guess things with your mum might be a little... well, I just hope you’re okay.”
Wilhelm swallowed. He could lie, pretend he was fine and wave away Simon’s concerns, but he knew the lie probably wouldn’t hold up. Or he could tell the truth and admit how painfully lonely he was, how much he hated being home because the palace felt empty without Erik and how much he longed to be with Simon with every fibre of his being.
“I’m coping.” He sighed, settling for a middle ground of vagueness. “It’s lonely here. The ceilings feel too high.”
“Have you had stuff to do?”
“No, not really. I haven’t really been in the mood for Christmas, but I guess none of us are particularly festive this year anyway.”
“Would you - I mean, if you would even be allowed to, but maybe if you could – would you want to come down here for a day?” Simon asked, and Wilhelm could just picture him fidgeting nervously as he stumbled over his words. The image brought a smile to his face.
“Yeah, I’d like that.” He answered softly. “I’ll try and convince my parents.”
+ + +
Going to Simon’s house had been an absolute no go with his parents. “Just too risky” his mother had said. However, with enough persistence, he managed to wear them down to a compromise.
That was how he ended up in a car on his way back to Hillerska the day after Boxing Day. While Simon’s house had been absolutely off the table, it would be easy enough to get back to Hillerska without being seen. The only people who were there during the break were security and the people who came to take care of the horses.
He had been worried at first that the inconvenience of it would make Simon not want to bother, but when he texted to ask if it was okay he had been met with a quick agreement.
A security guard unlocked the door for him when they arrived, sworn to secrecy of course, and he headed up to his room to wait. He didn’t realise he was biting his nails until there was a knock at the door and he was knocked out of his anxious thoughts.
The door opened slowly, and Wilhelm felt like all of the air was knocked out of his body when he saw Simon step inside, dressed in his beloved purple hoodie under the coat that he took off and draped over the back of a chair that was within reach. The door clicked shut behind him, and silence hung in the air.
“Hey.” Simon greeted finally, and Wilhelm took a deep breath as if he was just remembering how to breathe at all.
“Hey.” He echoed. “How are you?”
“Better.” Simon nodded. “Did you get into a fight with your parents?”
“Yeah, kinda.” Wilhelm muttered. “It’s fine though.”
Simon crossed the room and took a seat beside Wilhelm on the edge of the bed, a good few inches of space between them. It felt like miles.
“You look tired.” Simon commented.
“I’ve been having a hard time sleeping.” Wilhelm replied weakly, eyes downcast, fidgeting with his hands. “I get that way sometimes. It’s fine.”
“Is it?”
He looked over to find Simon watching him, and he practically crumbled under his gaze. He took a very unsteady breath and shook his head.
“No, it sucks.” He mumbled. His hand drifted back up to his mouth and he gnawed on the nail of his thumb nervously.
“Wille, you’re bleeding.” Simon said, gently grabbing his wrist and pulling his hand away from his mouth. Wilhelm looked down at his thumb and saw a bit of blood pooling in the side of the nailbed, becoming aware of the taste of it on his tongue.
“Oh, I didn’t notice.”
“How much have you been biting your nails?” Simon questioned, pulling Wilhelm’s hand towards him to get a look at them. Every nail was jagged and uneven, bitten down to stubs. The skin around them had been bitten at too.
“I don’t know, I do it without realising.” Wilhelm shrugged. “Probably a lot.” He resisted the urge to curl his fingers around Simon’s hand and blinked back the tears that threatened to fall.
“You shouldn’t have to bottle everything in, you’re destroying yourself.” Simon murmured.
“I don’t have anyone to talk to.” Wilhelm’s voice broke halfway through his sentence, a single tear managing to fight its way from his eye. “I used to be able to talk to Erik about at least some of it but now he’s gone and I don’t have anyone, and sometimes it feels like the ground is falling out from under me and I just don’t know what to do.”
He didn’t notice that he was hyperventilating until Simon pulled him into his arms. Wilhelm’s chest was tight, rising and falling rapidly against Simon’s body. Simon's arms were wrapped around him tightly, and Wilhelm was suddenly overwhelmed with how much he had been craving a hug as his hands grasped at the back of Simon’s hoodie and he hid his face in the crook of Simon’s neck.
Wilhelm had always been told not to cry. Ever since he was a child, whenever he began to cry he was told to stop. The seed had planted itself in him when he was very young, but the fear of letting himself cry didn’t truly grow until he once saw an article in a tabloid. He was barely eleven and he had fallen and hurt himself at an event. He had hardly cried, just a few tears and red cheeks, but the tabloid had had plenty to say about it. He hadn’t let himself properly cry since, except for when Erik died. Even then, he had waited until he was completely alone before he let his weakness show. But now, with Simon, he felt an overwhelming need to let his tears fall.
“I’m so sorry.” He whispered into Simon’s shoulder. He could feel the tears coming out of his eyes but they weren’t falling down his face, instead absorbing into the fabric of Simon’s hoodie.
“It’s okay.” Simon soothed, a hand moving up to stroke over the Wilhelm’s hair.
“I never wanted any of this. I never wanted to be a prince.”
“I know.”
“I just wanted to feel normal. Just for once.” Wilhelm said through his tears. “You made me feel normal.”
Simon furrowed his eyebrows, sympathetic. He loosened his hold on Wilhelm and leaned back, sliding the hand that was on the back of Wilhelm’s head forward to rest against his cheek.
“You made me feel normal too.” He replied softly. “At school I was a social outcast because I’m not rich, and at home I have to take care of my mom and Sara. When I was with you, I didn’t feel like I had to take care of anyone or watch where I was stepping. Well, except that one night.” Wilhelm huffed a slight laugh at the comment, lifting a hand to wipe the tears off of his cheeks. “I’ve never seen you cry before.” Simon commented.
“I’m not supposed to.” Wilhelm replied with an awkward chuckle, his head tipping forward in embarrassment. Simon sighed through his nose and lightly touched his forehead to Wilhelm’s.
“You have to cry sometimes, Wille. Everyone cries.”
“I’m not supposed to be everyone.”
“Okay, but sometimes you need to stop worrying about what you’re supposed to be.” Simon told him. “I know you know that.”
Wilhelm took a deep breath. This close to Simon’s face, he could feel his breathing too. He wanted to kiss him, but he didn’t know if that would be okay. He nodded slightly, covering Simon’s hand on his cheek with his own.
“Yeah.” He breathed.
When Simon leaned forward and connected their lips Wilhelm responded automatically, though it took his brain a few seconds to catch up. Once his brain did catch up, his hand took hold of the back of Simon’s neck and pulled him impossibly closer, holding onto this moment like it was his last. Maybe it would be the last time he got to kiss Simon; he couldn’t know. He hoped it wouldn’t be.
“Thanks for coming to see me.” Simon said when they broke apart.
“Thanks for wanting to see me at all.” Wilhelm replied. “I really missed you.”
Simon hummed, a faint smile playing at his lips. He watched Wilhelm for a few moments before kicking off his shoes.
“Come here.” He said, shuffling over the bed towards the wall. Wilhelm followed suit and allowed himself to be guided down to a lying position, Simon’s chest against his back and arm around his waist. “You need to sleep.”
“It’s the middle of the day.” Wilhelm protested, weak as the protest may have been.
“People have naps all the time, and you know that you need it.” Simon said firmly, adjusting the pillow under his head with his free arm and finding Wilhelm's hand to hold in the other. “It doesn’t have to be for long, okay?”
“Okay.” Wilhelm nodded, feeling suddenly very relaxed. He took a deep breath settling into the comfort and warmth of Simon’s body around his as his eyes fell shut. “This is nice.” He mumbled after a while.
“Yeah.” Simon agreed softly. “Go to sleep, Wille.”
It wasn’t long until he felt Wilhelm’s breathing change, signifying that he had fallen asleep. He smiled, fondly but with an edge of sadness to it, and pressed a light kiss to Wilhelm’s shoulder before closing his own eyes. They would deal with the rest of the world when they woke up.

Halloween 2021 masterlist
Uuh, I made this a platonic, genderneutral reader, hope you don't mind. We had to fit it in the uuh, halloween universe :)

Oct. 8th - Cheer up (Nico di Angelo)
Tumblr media
You had to go to Nico for some ghost-raising-advice. Sure, you could probably try to figure something out with the Hecate kids, however you figured that Nico would be able to help well too. You had expected that you would beg or bargain with him.
You had not expected Nico to be face down in his bed.
“Hey, you alright there?” you carefully asked as you moved to the side of his bed. You got a low grumble in return. Nico moved to lay on his back as he made space for you to sit on his bed.
“What has gotten you all grumpy?” you inquired.
“Just, not feeling the,” Nico made a small jazz hands gesture, “Halloween spirit right now” he sighed.
“Oh?” you looked over his face as he stared at the ceiling.
“I guess people assume I like scary things,” He slowly sat up, “But in reality I don’t even enjoy the horror genre?” He looked you helplessly in the eye.
“Is this about movies?” you asked him and he nodded, “You know that there are none scary Halloween movies right?” Nico squinted his eyes and slowly shook his head. You let out a gasp.
“Okay, first of all, why were people bothering you about it?” you asked him.
“I don’t know, they kept asking me for recommendations, or what I like to watch during these times,” Nico scoffed, “As if this isn’t my first actual Halloween at camp.” You smiled at him.
“I think I know how to get you into the spirit!”

A few hours later Nico and you were bundled up, having just finished a few wholesome Halloween shows. Nico, for some reason, had a soft, small, smile on his face as he looked in your direction. You could’ve sworn, if it wasn’t for the years of trauma that he endured, there would be stars in his eyes.
This moment was quickly interrupted by a thought crossing Nico’s mind.
“So, why did you seek me out?” he asked as a shameful look formed on your face.
“I wanted to ask you for advice on how to raise ghosts?” you quietly said and Nico sent a small glare your way.
“My advice is ; don’t” he quickly answered as he turned back to the screen, “Do you have any other movie recommendations?” he quietly asked as he leaned more against you. You sighed.
“Yeah I do.”
