i just realize i didn’t really clarify the procedure i had—today, i received PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injections to treat joint/ligament/fascia instability and damage, especially in my cervical spine!
it works (to my understanding) by tricking your body into thinking it’s been recently injured so that it activates healing, with the PRP also accelerating that healing.
i’m going to be posting updates in reblogs as they come to me, since PRP for EDS/SCI patients is hard to find firsthand reviews on!
you can learn more about medical PRP on ROSM’s website :)

fold your hands and close your eyes 👀
HAHAHA YES 🖤💜
It’s been a while since I’ve made progress on this one — not because I’m not invested in it anymore, I’m just even more invested in a plethora of other WIPs (as you know). I think I will end up making this a series of shorter fics, so they are easier to write and read. Also to artificially boost the number of works in a certain tag, which is barren.
Tumblr media
Anyway. Fold your hands and close your eyes started as a Transmasc Felix Propaganda fic, but has since turned into an in-depth exploration of his relationship with Amelie from the moment she learnt she was expecting. The title was taken from Church Bells, by Carrie Underwood, which tells you everything you need to know about where the story is headed.
And since I know you, Noctie, I shall give you the Graham de Vanily twins:
Emilie, as always, did not understand.
“This is wonderful news,” she exclaimed, arms clasped uncomfortably tight around her sister’s stomach. “Oh, Lilie, I’m so happy for you.”
The corners of Amelie’s lips twitched. Her brother-in-law, at least, had the decency to stand a few steps behind; she was grateful for his emotional incompetence.
This was, by far, the most pathetic baby shower in the history of baby showers. But it was nice to have company over without supervision — as unpleasant as said company might be.
“Isn’t it wonderful? Our little ones will be born within a few months of each other,” Emilie smiled, rubbing her bump with childlike excitement. “They will practically be twins, too!”
Evidently, she looked back on their childhood with more fondness than Amelie ever could.
“We need to get them matching bonnets,” the older twin chirped. “Oh, wouldn’t it be so cute if we got one of each?”
“One of each…?”
“A boy and a girl, silly!”
There was something unsettling about the way Emilie talked about their unborn children; a stranger passing by might have believed she was carrying them both.
Ask game here!

Ten days of September have passed! This month is such a busy one for me, but I'm glad that everything is running smoothly.
I finished preparing paperwork for my new speciality, started revising for my language exam and still trying to manage social media and work !
How is September treating you so far?

prp vlogs 2 electric boogaloo
if you're wondering what prp is/about the original 'vlogs' you can find that here.
anyway, i got PRP again yesterday, this time at the C1-C2 junction. for this one, because of the difficulty of the location and higher risk level, i had to go in to the surgical center so they could do it under x-ray. i am now going to be wearing my cervical collar [neck brace] basically 24/7 for a week or two.
i was going to post about it right after but then i felt horrible and i still kind of do, so:
update #1 (~23 hours after procedure)
TL;DR: neck hurts when i move, throat hurts a ton period, and i can't lie down unassisted which is fun.
yesterday my neck was so bad that i couldnt go from sitting to lying down without assistance! i couldnt lean more than ~30 degrees in any direction without being in too much pain and having to straighten back up. i got around it when my girlfriend reminded me that my bed could help me lie down [so thanks, girlfriend].
i currently have an extremely sore throat and it hurts to swallow--but in a muscles-that-do-that-hurt way, not a throat-is-scratchy way. since the joint i had PRP in is directly behind the esophagus/right next to the swallowing muscles, i think it's probably just from the PRP. oh joy.
overall i dont feel great, but everything's going smoothly, it's just unpleasant.
