When I was in the fourth grade I was super obsessed with Meerkat Manor. Obsessed enough to buy the book Meerkat Manor: Flower of the Kalahari, which details the life of Flower, the dominant female of the main group of meerkats being studied, as well as providing bunch of behind the scenes details about all the research that was being done with the meerkats

That year my teacher assigned the class to write a series of book reports (like one page long, it was the fourth grade) on books in different genres

One of the genres we needed was biography/autobiography

So I wrote my report on Flower of the Kalahari

My poor teacher talked to me and said, basically "you realize this book is about a meerkat"

And tiny me goes "yeah, it's nonfiction and it tells her whole life story, it's a biography"

And my teacher accepted it

"Powered by the sun" is a bit of a misnomer, which wouldn't be the first time meerkats had this happen. Meetkats do bask in the sun, however, to warm up their bodies. This activity is not unlike cold-blooded reptiles. However, I believe that faunus are still, essentially, humans with animal traits, so they are still warm-blooded.

(Though these posts are a lot of fun to play around with.)

I went for a meal and to the cinema, to watch the new suicide squad. I get Meetkat deals through my car insurance so got 2 for 1 cinema tickets, which is amazing when it’s been a busy month and a date night is on the cards (Who doesn’t love a bargain and saving money).

I really enjoyed the movie, it had me laughing a lot, and I was also cringing at some of the bloody and gory scenes.

I would definitely recommend going to watch it.
