Apparently there used to be a theory that Caleb was cursed to be the Owl Beast? Does anyone know where it is?

When you search Tumblr, top posts are not sorted by notes and there is no way to do that, so I can't find an amazing post that might have been deleted from one user's blog but chances are it wasn't entirely deleted since it had notes in the thousands, and if it was deleted, why, there was nothing offensive in it unless you think mentioning the concept of internet addiction in any context is wrong and I would be very suspicious of that, it was a really articulate post with two self reblogs and I scrolled all the way back on my own dash and I know exactly where it was and it's just gone now. Just didn't get a chance to save or interact and now it's gone, second time this has happened (though I know for a fact the other one was removed for offending conservatives)

I have learned Tumblr is like a washing machine with socks, except it eats posts.

Very important to have friends who enjoy media you don’t personally enjoy, both because having friends with varying interests can help you understand why someone might enjoy something even if it’s not your cup of tea which can help build empathy skills and also because there’s nothing more fun then being able to explain the plots of your respective obsessions to each other and have the other respond with “what the fuck”

Gotta be honest, the popularity of blond Percy thanks to the pjo show is driving me insane because every time I see pjo fanart, I have a crisis over what little blond boy is being depicted

Dune sells for $9.99, War and Peace is $7.99, Tom Sawyer is $5.99, etc. The business of selling dead authors works is incomprehensible to me. Especially when the author is so well known that finding a free pdf of the book is guaranteed. Do libraries even have to pay publishers for these kinds of books?
It’s like - this is basically an ignorance tax. The Apple book/audible subscription/kindle store/google play/whatever price is what you pay for not typing in ‘book name’ ‘site:preferred library/archive/repository’ in the search bar.

Hello! I’m trying to find a post from a while back, it was a screenshot of a Facebook post from an art school and one of their students drew kaworu and shinji on the piano but the caption was something about “beautiful grandfather and grandson relationship!” I need to find it thank you
Oh this sounds SO familiar, but I had no luck with a quick search, because wow google is SO bad for this kind of thing now?? sad days...
If anyone knows this post, please help me uncover this precious gem!!

We’re fanfiction writers, of course:
We’re going to use song lyrics as titles.
We’re going to check for comments 30 seconds after we post something.
We’re going to have more WIPs than days of the month.
We’re going to use any excuse to post snippets.
We’re going to use ask box games to procrastinate.
We’re going to hype up our writer friends.
We’re going to scream, cry and throw up reading our friends’ work.

They Do Not Exist (1974) by Mustafa Abu Ali (watch)
from PalestineCinema.com:
Salvaged from the ruins of Beirut after 1982, Abu Ali's early film has only recently been made available. Shooting under extraordinary conditions, the director, who worked with Godard on his Ici et Ailleurs (Here and Elsewhere), and founded the PLO's film division, covers conditions in Lebanon's refugee camps, the effects of Israeli bombardments, and the lives of guerrillas in training camps. They Do Not Exist is a stylistically unique work which demonstrates the intersection between the political and the aesthetic. Now recognised as a cornerstone in the development of Palestinian cinema, the film only received its Palestine premiere in 2003, when a group of Palestinian artists "smuggled" the director to a makeshift cinema in his hometown of Jerusalem (into which Israel bars his entry). Abu Ali, who saw his film for the first time in 20 years at this clandestine event noted: "We used to say 'Art for the Struggle', now it's 'Struggle for the Art'"
