zoro who is so caught off guard by sanji’s kinder actions towards him is one of my favorite tropes. sanji crafting him specialized post workout snacks personally adjusted for him but still down to fight and call him names. he’s still the biggest asshole zoro has ever had the displeasure of knowing, and he’s horribly considerate. he’s a little confused but doesn’t reject any of sanji’s specialized treats. it’s not like sanji is fawning and doting over him like he does nami, so zoro feels like he can cross off sanji actually liking him from his list of reasons as to why sanji is acting like this. but it’s still fucking strange..

EOTWR has been getting some heat for their preliminary post on the board candidates, to the point that some are disavowing the movement all together, and I’ve been wondering -- are there any other organizations that are addressing the issues that you believe EOTWR hasn’t covered appropriately?

and I’m not talking about little fun fandom events where we pass fic and fanart back and forth and pat each other on the back like ‘we’re so diverse, guys! we exist!’. I’m talking organizations. a group of people that have come together and decided to push for systemic change. because as far as I know, EOTWR are the only ones doing it.

where I’m standing, though some parts weren’t worded as well as they could have been, the post is....fine? it’s fine. it introduces the candidates and their intro profiles and examines if their goals as a board member line up with EOTWR’s, which have been clearly stated from the jump. so to go into the notes and see all that has been. hm! it certainly gave me whiplash lmao.

idk, I don’t see the issue...as a black person I know intimately how diversity in a space doesn’t automatically mean that our goals will align. just because you’re a person of color doesn’t mean you aren’t capable of being racist -- especially, in my case, antiblack, because antiblackness is global. so. I think it’s fine that all the candidates get the same amount of scrutiny when it comes to their goals on the board and if they bring up the concerns re: racism in the OTW that have been brought up for months.

if you think that EOTWR is falling short in places, alright. that’s certainly your right to feel that way, and no organization is perfect; it’s made by a group of people, and people will always fall short (just look at the ao3/otw lmao). 

but are there any alternate groups out there doing this work as well? groups that are organizing and doing the work regarding the concerns that you have re: the otw that you feel EOTWR hasn’t addressed properly, if at all? and I’m genuinely asking because having more groups organize to put the otw’s feet to the fire is never a bad thing lmao. there should be more organizations! because EOTWR can’t be the only group out there- and they shouldn’t be. there should be more groups like them.

ranking the Steam Team from early bird to night owl! (headcanons, ofc):

Henry, the earliest of early birds - literally. He goes to sleep and wakes up extremely early, sleeping usually from 7-8 P.M to 2-3 A.M, at which point it's considered morning for him (Gordon calls it the kipper conditioning since the train always left on an ungodly hour). It is completely natural, he does not need any alarms.

Toby, not as much an early bird as an early exiter, because he sleeps for solidly 8 hours regardless of when he goes to sleep, he just chooses to go at around 9 P.M at the latest most of the time - and as such, wakes up at like 5 A.M, with no need for alarms.

Edward, formerly known as permanently exhausted pigeon, used to go to sleep at 1-2 A.M, but changed that behaviour after moving out of the sheds because, well, they're a sucker for cuddles, and it's hard to get enough when the person you live with gets up an hour after you go to sleep. So now they go to sleep at around 9-10 P.M, although their wake up schedule remained unchanged at about 5-6 A.M. They have an alarm set, just in case, but usually won't need it.

Gordon forces himself to be an early bird, decided it would be more appropriate. As such, he goes to bed 10 P.M sharp and gets up around 6 A.M (although his alarm starts at 5.30 because he is decidedly not an early bird in nature)

Emily, still a permanently exhausted pigeon, as she is a natural (relatively) early riser, getting up at 6-7 A.M, but she also has a night owl wife, which wouldn't affect her sleep schedule if she wasn't inspired to make new, cool outfits so often because of her.. As such, she's going to bed at probably 2-3 A.M. No one understands how she can still wake up without an alarm.

Percy - just a guy, really. Goes to sleep somewhere between 10 P.M and midnight, gets up between 7 and 9 A.M. Sets an alarm if he absolutely needs to get up on the earlier side, but otherwise he's good.

Thomas, a mild night owl, goes to sleep after midnight, but no later than 2 A.M, mostly because he recognises that the world is built for early birds. Gets up at 9, maybe 10 A.M (if he can afford it) and has to rush to work anyway. Alarm clocks are his lifeline.

James, a proper night owl, goes to sleep at like 3-4 A.M, because his creativity works best at night and he also loves long showers, then gets up at 11 A.M, maybe noon, and complains about still being sleepy.... When he needs to get up earlier he will set an alarm long before the needed time to make sure he manages to get up on time, but also will not go to bed any earlier (unless the hour is like 5 A.M, then he probably goes to sleep at 1 or 2 A.M instead)
