--- Billy is not a fan of the holiday in general, but he can't just ignore it since he is dating and wants to do something for you.

--- Billy is not good with personalized gifts, unless you guys have been dating for a long time he is not really sure what to get you. Usually he will get you flowers and a stuffed animal or a piece of jewelry

--- Billy likes to take you on a date if he can. Usually it's a restaurant or maybe a surprise window visit to your house at night. Whatever it is on valentines day he likes you to be around you and tries his best to at least spend a little bit of time with you.

--- on Valentine's Day he likes to surprise you with smaller things outside of his bigger gift and date, whether it's smaller gifts or buying you food among other things. He just likes just seeing your reaction.

Stu Macher

--- stu LOVES valentines day, outside of him enjoying the romantic festivities and also gives him the excuse to have a grotesque amount of sex, I mean it’s not like he doesn't already but now he has an excuse.

--- he likes to plan ahead when getting you gifts. He's not very good at gift giving so he will subtly ask you what you want or at least try to be subtle. If he does not know what to get you he will resort to a stuffed animal.

--- he likes to take you to the amusement park on Valentine's Day because he thinks it's so much more fun than a normal date, and he likes to win you stuff.

--- stu doesn't really expect that much in return he does appreciate when you get him things though which you often do. Outside of the gifts you usually give him you and he often has sex later at night on the holiday, very special Valentine's Day sex. He will often break out the candles and make everything very fancy when you guys do have sex.

Mickey Alteri

--- he's pretty neutral on the holiday but he loves you so he usually ends up doing stuff with you.

--- gift-wise he thinks he knows you pretty well, so he doesn't really ask what you want and just kind of wings it. He doesn't always land the gift. There have been a few mess-ups, but he has a higher chance to get something you like than not.

--- he doesn't go all out of dates a lot of the time he just comes over and you two hangouts. If he does do something outside of the house, you guys go to the theater or out somewhere fun like an arcade.

--- he's very touchy in general when you guys are dating, but on valentines he's VERY touchy he's practically attached to you on the hip he's always touching you whether he is kissing you or holding you close.

Roman Briger

--- Roman really likes valentines day, he likes to use it to show off his wealth to you. He likes to feel admired by you.

--- he loves to spoil you on valentines day, he buys you lots of things basically anything you ask for he will buy for you. Even without you asking he buys you many things such as jewelry, stuffed animals, flowers etc.

--- he likes to keep things more lowkey when you guys go out for a date on valentines day. Well his lowkey is going to the most fancy restaurant in town for a nice dinner.

--- on valentines day he’s really big on romantic gestures. Like opening the door for you, kissing your hand and generally taking care of you since as much as he wants you to admire him. He also admires and loves you and he wants to show it.

--- sometimes after you guys go on your guy's date, he will book a hotel for a long-interrupted sex session. He would do it at his house, but he likes a spicier feeling of a hotel setting, even though he hates the beds.

Jill Roberts

--- she doesn't like valentine's day that much, she finds the holiday unnecessary since she's not the romantic type well she is just in more subtle ways. She doesnt go all out for the holiday but she's dating you so she decides to participate.

--- she's very perceptive when it comes to gifting, she pays attention to every little thing you do and say so she's pretty good in the gift department. She never tells you you're getting a gift so she can surprise you, but it never works because you always see it coming, since she gets you a gift every valentines day, but you always act surprised because you know she likes it.

--- she likes dates but on valentines dates she likes to keep it lowkey since most places are very busy and she likes having alone time with you. You guys tend to end up watching a movie and hanging out on the couch. Sometimes she just suggests hanging out at home because she wants to sleep with you but she would never tell you that.

Charlie Walker

--- charlie likes valentines day since he likes a reason to hangout with more than he already does.

--- charlie doesn't really get you anything for valentines day besides his love of course. He finds he is a little too broke to really get you anything he would like to get you. If he does get you anything it be small or a handmade gift like a card or flowers he picked etc.

--- date-wise Charlie likes to keep things low-key for Valentine's Day. He often invites you over to binge the stab movies and make out among other things of course but mostly that.

Amber Freeman

--- amber likes to do things for valentines day. She doesn't really like the holiday herself but she likes the opportunity to treat you to what she can provide.

--- amber near the beginning of your guys relationship around valentines day she would not know what to get you but she would try, at some point she stopped trying to get a good gift for you and started getting pretty stander gifts stuffed animals mostly, but sometimes she still does try and she doesn't always fail.

--- you guys don’t really do anything date-wise for valentines since both of you prefer staying at home and hanging out, maybe even inviting over a few friends to hangout as well as a sort of double date.

Ethan Landry

--- ethan really likes valentines day, but most of the time forgets about its existence until the day of even then sometimes he doesn't remember, until you remind him.

--- he always scrambles to get gifts for you if he doesn't remember to get you one ahead of time, which most of the time he doesn't. Most of the time he gives you something he already owns like a book he likes for some of his clothes.

--- date-wise he never really has anything planned most of the time you guys go to a movie if there's any good ones playing. If there isn't you guys go hangout at the arcade or at home. Since neither of you take the holiday too seriously.

Quinn Bailey

--- Quinn really likes Valentine's day, she loves the opportunity to hang out with you and treat you and likes seeing you happy.

--- Quinn doesn't really get you gifts specifically for the holiday besides maybe a card, she likes to buy you things when you guys go out on dates for the holiday.

--- Quinn really likes to take you shopping for the holiday mostly at the mall and she likes to try her best and pay for what she can for you.

--- at the end of the day she takes you home and you two most likely have sex. She finds a good way to end Valentine's Day or at least for her a good way.

Hi! I've been on quite the gravity falls kick lately, so it's so nice to see someone writing for that fandom!

I was wondering if you could please write some Headcanons about Ford Pines (romantic) and Stan, Dipper and Mabel (platonic) taking care of a reader who's chronically ill and/or recovering from surgery?

I just got diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and it's kinda bumming me out, and I also am prepping for a really big scary jaw surgery. In case you're wondering about symptoms and such, the symptoms of Rheumatoid Arthritis are just a lot of pain and inflammation in my finger and knee joints - I always wear compression gloves and knee sleeves to help with that, alongside using antiinflammatory gels.

As for the jaw surgery, I won't have my jaw wired shut (thank God) but I'll still have trouble talking and will need to be on a liquid diet for awhile, as well as just being in an insane amount of pain. I imagine the Pines would come up with a 'thumbs up or thumbs down ' system for that sort of thing, and Mabel would insist on making all sorts of soft dishes herself. There would be a LOT of milkshakes and ice cream lol.

You can choose either one of these scenarios you feel most comfortable with, but I'd be ecstatic if you could do both! But I understand if that's not possible, so it's up to you. Have a great day, I'm wishing you the best hun 🥰

ford pines x reader (romantic), platonic pines twins + stan

general headcanons

ford does SO MUCH research prepping for surgery. like to the point of he knows more about the entire procedure + your condition and how to care for you than you yourself!

hes just so nervous even if its a low risk surgery, he just doesnt wanna see you in any pain!! hes gotten surgery before too (metal plate in his head) so he also knows a bit of what the recovery process is like.

dipper does his own research as well, not as extensive as his great uncle but enough to know what to look out for and how to care for you just in case he's needed. also so that he can tell mabel to stop doing something because lets face it she is very chaotic LOL

she means the absolute best but she's never gotten surgery nor is she chronically ill, and for someone recovering, could be a bit over stimulating.

stan doesnt do research but he DOES make the den all nice and cozy for you once youve returned from your surgery. he allows you to use the chair he normally reclines in and has a fold up table situated next to it with anything you could possibly need. he doesnt say much but he shows he cares by doing this, and you appreciate it so much

mabel sews you custom compression sleeves, socks, braces, you name it! that girl is crafty as hell and her love language is making things.

dipper isn't as creative as his sister, or crafty, but he's always offering to make med runs for you if you're too tired to go!! he likes being able to help in any way he can, and doesn't mind driving out of town to get anything you need.

ford probably figures out his own sciency or magical recipe for a topical gel for you! hes wicked smart and wants to ease your pain in every possible way he can. hes putting all of his phds to use!!!

stan also has arthritis!! a different version, but he understands your pain. he's got a load of orthopedic equipment he's happy to let you use. he knows how much of a sucker his brother is for you, and you're an important part of the family. he'll do what he can to help out!!

scenario

"We're back!" Ford's voice exclaimed from the doorway, helping you slowly walk in and sat down in Stan's recliner, which had been set up at the perfect angle for you to lay comfortably. Ford carefully helps you into the chair as two pairs of footsteps can be heard coming down the stairs (one pair running excitedly and the other walking at a fast pace).

"They're still a little loopy from the anesthesia, and can't really talk, so we'll be doing the thumbs system we talked about earlier, kids," Ford said, gently stroking your hair in a soothing manner whilst talking to Dipper and Mabel.

"I MADE YOU A GET WELL SWEATER!!! Waddles tried eating it but I made sure it was completely in tack for you when you got back!" Mabel said to you excitedly, proudly presenting her sweater. It was a red rust color, with the words "Get Well Soon!!" hand stitched to it. Sweaters were her love languahe, you had discovered while living with the Pines family (cue your closet, having its own section dedicated to Mabel sweaters).

You managed a small smile and a shaky thumbs up, and this was enough to make Mabel happily set it on the folding table next to the recliner. Dipper look like he was struck with an idea, and rushed into the kitchen, grabbing your pain medication and a glass of water.

He gently set it on the table next to you, and you gave another shaky thumbs up.

"Sorry about that, Grunkle Stan told me to set that out but I got so absorbed in the new journal," He said sheepishly, and you gave a small shrug to let him know you weren't upset.

"Ooh! That reminds me, dinner is on MABEL TONIGHT!" Mabel happily exclaimed, fist pumping the air excitedly. She was rarely allowed in the kitchen, or more specifically, near the oven. Even if she wouldn't be cooking anything, the thought of caring for someone and making them a dinner of ice cream and smoothies was very appealing to her.

At some point you had fallen asleep, Ford sitting on the couch next to you gently holding your hand. Stan had joined him on the couch while the two watched TV. Ford eventually too took a small nap on the couch while still grasping your hand.

When you awoke, it was to Mabel gently tapping your shoulder, careful not to harm you.

"I hate wake you up, you and Grunkle Ford were so cute!! It was definitely a scrapbookortunity... But I have your dinner!! Vanilla and chocolate ice cream with a strawberry banana smoothie!! Courtesy of Mabel," she added the last part with a playful wink before handing you the bowl and setting the smoothie on the table.

You could hear Stan and Dipper in the kitchen while Ford slowly woke up from his nap on the couch. He rubbed his eyes underneath his glasses before glancing at you lovingly. How you could still look so lovable after getting surgery and ravenously eating ice cream, he wasn't sure. But he loved you so much he didn't question it.

He leaned over and pressed a kiss to your forehead, mumbling a small greeting against it. You slowed your eating and gave a weak smile, to which he happilt returned.

Yeah, you were glad you had the Pines while you recovered. You wouldn't have anyone else.

I feel a bit annoyed by people saying Firefly is the star rail version of Kallen. As a fan of both characters I feel they got next to nothing in common whatsoever. They dont look similar, they arnt similar people, they dont have similar backgrounds or motives... there is just nothing really. It feels like reducing them to Stelle/Caelus girlfriend (this one is supported by the story but I feel like much of what makes Firefly and this ship interesting gets overlooked, admittedly some of it assumes the theory about Firefly being SAM is true and some lore knowledge about SAM but even without taking that into account Firefly is a great character in her own right) and Otto´s girlfriend (which, as a huge Otto fan, I will say, of course has its own issues and I do not like the romantic interpretation with them, the previous era versions of them are different people and dont count for this imo and there is no evidence at all Kallen of the current era was into Otto and also Kolosten heavily suggests it wasnt even a romance thing for Otto either) I highly recommend people read the prequel comic focused on Kallen, its when Kallen is younger then when we see her in flashbacks, set before meeting Sakura (i highly recommend also checking out that whole story at some point even if it can be a bit awkwardly time gated in game and slightly confusing) in HI3 so her personality/demeanor is a bit different from how she was by then (she is a lot more naive for one) but I think its still a good introduction to see why Kallen is a good character and a good showcase of how she isnt like Firefly at all and doesnt require sitting trough all of Kolosten and several side stuff in game to get to, so its a convenient starting place to see if you want to see more about Kallen. Which I hope anyone reading this ends up wanting to but even if not thats fine and is why I recommend starting here since its an easy read with very nice art and a fairly self contained story. Also if you dont play HI3 and am just curious on Kallen because of what other people are saying. Firefly I dont wanna go too deep into character analysis here cause some of it relies heavily on an unproven theory, ill probably write about her more later though. But either way I feel like she is a very well written character, her desire to indulge in some escapism to get a break from her harsh reality with her terminal illness, her determination to find the watchmaker´s legacy despite the risk, her clearly having gotten a lot of experience dealing with dangerous situations despite seemingly wanting to just live a normal happy life, she hasnt been in the game very long (yet, the boss that "killed" her whole gimmick is that you can free the souls it claims so im not so sure she is actually gone, also you can see a Firefly leave her body before she dissolves shortly before Sam shows up...) but she is already very strongly characterized even with her limited screentime. If the theory that she is Sam is also true then it would add an extra layer to her closeness with Stelle in that some lore about Sam suggests Sam was artifically created for the purpose of fighting against the swarm, so she likely would relate to Stelle on account of the whole... being made to fullfill a purpose thing. As a stellaron hunter in this case she would also know about that quite likely so I like the theory. Idunno I just feel frustrated how characters often feel like they get boiled down to just their archetype or role (and sometimes not even any of those but just completely unrecognizable) when they are actually very interesting and well written characters. I want people to appreciate the writing that went into these amazing characters, not just these two but also many other examples but I wont ramble on here. So I strongly recommend people read more about them if at all curious, altough be careful since there are tons of leaks and spoilers in general going around regarding anything Penacony related, so with Firefly it might be best to wait a bit if spoilers are a concern.

-But if he is feeling particularly less serious, the jokes you make will probably be what he really wants.

-He is just thankful that you were just a bit on the confident side and not impulsive.

-Honestly, he doesnt really feel annoyed by you unless Kalim doesnt follow your sometimes reckless behaviour.

Neige:

-Your charming personality and his romantic one just compliments each other.

-He even likes some of the negative sides to you like your dramatic and laid-back persona.

-He sees u as the charming side of you since it shows how brave you are.

-He even likes your flirty remarks even though it takes him a while to process.

-He couldn't be any more happier when he found you, the princess he had always been waiting for.

I think that Jeff doesnt have preferences about his partner. That means that no matter what you do, what are your hobbies or what kind of person your are, he would be still into you. You can be either silly and crazy like Jeff or be calm and he will somehow match the energy with you anyways. High chance that he is "look > personality" type of person, but I believe he wouldnt be too picky.

When in relationship, he isnt the worst person to date! Jeffs mean coments turn into more teasing one? You know, you can tell when he is not being serious and just want to play with you. Once with him, you got more "friends and lovers" type of relationship. He really can be fun to have around. Not the best at comforting, but can be shoulder to cry or partner in destroying the world. He also has his clingy moments, nothing too direct but enjoys kisses and cuddles. Even if he isnt the best at showing that, he would do anything for you!

He just want someone who would take care of him, he needs that even if he will deny it. Jeff came through a lot, and under his tough, big and scary persona he wants to be cared for and loved. Will act like doesn't like it but if you pamper him he would melt - of course he will pretend to be mad but you know better! Boy doesn't live in healthy way, doesnt eat or drink enough and sleep isnt the most important for him (plus he is a killer???) so gladly appreciates all that. Bonus: be ready for cleaning bloody stains from his (or sometimes yours) clothes tho!

Jeff also need a lot of time to let himself be vurnable in front of you. Its hard for him to open up, hates the feeling of showing emotions and "being weak" (in his small brain being emotional = being lame). Im sorry but that can lead to him snapping on you, it happens when you buttle up emotions. I believe that Jeff would also have anger issues which wont be treated for obviouse reasons, so the beggining of relationship can be a bit hard. No worries, he gets better at controlling them (or just not taking anger out on you!) by time and who knows? Maybe once in a while he would seek comfort from you??

Well, Jeff is possesive and jealous, maybe sometimes to the point of this unhealthy way. Not that he would lock you in his room and chain to bed, but might get pouty when you are being too close with someone. Doesnt matter with who - your friend, stranger or just your family - there is high chance of him not talking to you for a while becasue of that or end up with rough making out session!

He is more of "I will beat or kill anyone who will look at you in the wrong way" type of romantic rather than "uwu cute dates for my cute boyfriend". Jeff can be pretty romantic...just not in standard way! You wont get expensive gifts or cheesy dinner dates with him wearing fancy suit, but you would recieve a lot of stolen things (jewelry if you wear, clothes, anything!) or just going on a walk/exploring abandon buildings at night! He is also down for cuddles, but its a secret..!

i think you two would have a really fun dynamic tbh. lots of teasing and bordering a love-hate dynamic, yet somehow a sense of understanding between the two of you that would just draw you close.

he'd appreciate you for being so chill because he honestly cannot stand someone clinging to him and begging him for his attention 24/7 and you being secure in this sense definitely works out perfectly for him.

he personally wouldnt mind you being 'morally questionable' (you are both about to be really chaotic because youre both competitive and do not back down from doing the most questionable shit ever but hey!! yolo!!)

i hc he's an early bird because of the training he received growing up. since hes a bit of a shithead he'd probably be super amused by how ill-tempered you are in the mornings and unfortunately will not hold back from poking fun at you until you're really mad. won't apologize for riling you up either since for him it was quite entertaining.

in general, he actually doesnt sleep all that much, so if you wanna get back at him by pulling a prank or two when he's asleep, youre gonna have to wait until he takes that 2-3 hour long rest. sadly, very little fazes him so you will have to wait and observe him to figure out his pet peeves and such.

toji is oddly observant. he may seem like a meathead but even the slightest change in your demeanour doesnt go amiss by him. youre really private about your personal matters though and he picked up on it quite early on so he never says anything. instead, he chooses to show his consideration through actions and gestures. he'll let up on his teasing and taunting, he'll do a bothersome chore on your behalf, take out the time of his day to run your errands, gruffly pat your head and tell you to take some time off.

one thing you'll probably pick up on fairly early on in your friendship/relationship with toji is that he loves it when you challenge him. *loves* it when you debate with him. youre constantly coming up with such interesting stuff and he finds it really amusing how youre so invested in your hobbies yet somehow have a short attention span at the same time. he may come off as borderline condescending sometimes but really, he actually secretly admires you. he loves that youre so sarcastic and humorous,

date ideas: while he'd be up for doing pretty much when youre hanging out together, somehow when it comes to the idea of a 'date' he'd actually want to do something like a dinner in a 'romantic' setting just because that seems proper. either that or something out of pocket and adventurous like bungee jumping if youre up for it.

instead of getting you flowers, he'd actually rather get you a gift (unless you really like flowers or something) and it'd be something surprisingly thoughtful- something that would show just how observant he is. would actually be pretty pleased to learn that you like receiving gifts and would probably say that flowers are dumb because they die so soon, have no functionality and all that.

Ok Im very excited Ive been wanting to request again for months but I work the whole day on Fridays :') but im back to request another mashup cause things have changed since the last one!

Some stuff about me:

Im a hetersexual cis woman who wants to be a freelance artist, either in illustration or in character design! Right now Im studying illustration and its really fun to learn new techniques! I do get insecure from time to time with my art, but Im very determined to learn what I can and just have fun making art

Personality wise, Im very stoic and serious-looking, keeping to myself most of the time, but once i get comfortable I cant stop talking, like sometimes I have to remind myself to tone it down a little heheh

Once I get into something like a tv show or other series, Im very focused on it and think about it non-stop. For example, Ive been into Seinfeld for almost a year now to the point where one afternoon I spent an hour planning what a Seinfeld video game would look like, yknow, because I could. Sometimes I think about not being as involved in my interests as much as I do, but at the same time thats what makes me happy and drives my creativity, yknow?

Ive also been developing some stories of my own! Im no writer myself, but I love creating storylines and developing them further, whether they're original concepts or based on tf2 or something

As for what Im looking for in a partner, I want someone who can make me laugh. I admire someone who can talk so openly to other people but still be gentle and comforting with me even though Im not a very extroverted person. I want someone who admires my creativity and can listen to me when Im saying something, whether its something serious or not. I want someone who can share in some of my interests, and even when he doesnt he can still appreciate my enthusiam and not say something along the lines of "you're still talking about this?", yknow? Whenever I feel at my worst, I want him to just whisper sweet nothings, without having to try to 'fix' my problems immediately, just letting me slowly feel my emotions and junk. Im pretty much rambling on at this point but basically i just need the bare minimum like opening the door for me to fall in love with someone heh

I have a bit more confidence after attending art school, and Im trying to socialize more, but its still a little draining sometimes, but its still worth it in the end I think!

youre probably close friends with tracks before you two start kissing. he really doesnt have a lot of close friends so he sticks to your side like glue. its easy to woo him in a sense after that bc tracks will always put this genuine connection he has with you over a sudden crush. there are drop dead gorgeous mechs but what he has with you is indescribable and delicate. its beautiful and caring and genuine. something you arent always assured with dating someone new. he takes kisses readily and in front of anyone. tracks loves affection and being cherished in front of others. touch is one of his favorite ways to show love and he is the classically romantic sort, buying gifts and putting a lot of time and effort into showing his adoration of you. he's all bouquets and energon treats and new, rare polish. tracks loves sweet pecks as much as he does passionate making out, and it really depends on the occasion and what demeanor he woke up with that determines his spirit of the day.

soundwave

he's much more subtle and quiet about his affection, but he also prefers to fall in love with someone he knows he can trust. someone loyal who has really proven their worth. he's rather partial to letting you kiss on his face guard, but won't necessarily voice that. you'll just have to read his body language or em field to really know. of course, it doesn't help that the cassettes tease him for being such a soft spark for you. if you're ever confused about how he feels it won't be long till the cassettes spell it out (very loudly and very publicly). only in private will soundwave let his guard down, literally and figuratively, to give you some kisses in return. these are usually soft and sweet, but that doesn't mean he can't be passionate and intense. he just prefers to give himself over to the soft pleasure of love when he's alone. battle is already so intense, he prefers to keep the berthroom comfortable. if you give soundwave a kiss in front of the cassettes, expect them to want one too (even if they won't say it).

cosmos

of all mechs, cosmos is the most likely to fall in love at first sight. he's a hopeless romantic, even if he is uncomfortable with most social interaction. it's not that he doesn't like other people, he's just out in space so often it feels unnatural to be close to others. cosmos loves to get kisses on his face guard, though. not in front of his fellow autobots! they will start teasing him and he can't handle the public embarrassment! cosmos doesn't have much experience with romantic relationships, so he's not sure how to return your kisses at first. eventually he settles for the slightest zap of charge to your lips. it's the best he can do to 'kiss' you back. of course, he's always willing to repay your affection with cuddling or hand holding or other intimate touching. in fact, cosmos is so starved for affection he will practically beg you to let him repay your kisses with something else. forehead and cheek kisses are his jam.

skyfire

all of his previous kissing experience was pretty intense and almost always lust-driven. it's nice to have someone who actually kisses him with amorous intent, instead. not that he doesn't appreciate 'heavier' situation, but you kiss him like he's made of glass even if he is one of the largest Autobots. skyfire hasn't kissed anyone in a long time, so he may be a bit out of practice, but he always readily accepts your touch with enthusiasm. skyfire's favorite way to show affection is spending time together, but when you two are in a rush to get things done he will accept a quick smooch on the lips instead. his favorite kisses to give are to the back of your hand. it's a more subtle, polite way to show his appreciation for you and much more appropriate for public spaces.

When you were assigned to teach the Google IRL unit what emotions were, to truly test the capabilities (and in part, using the learning abilities of the android to program the Emotional Regulator Chip), you really weren't sure what to expect. You had been warned that previous units without the ERC were volatile, often needing copious amounts of distraction and aggressive use of primary objectives while a team secured them for a hard reset. You were warned that even with the basics of the ERC, there was still a solid 40% chance of something going wrong.

But, you were confident.

Your first few sessions were oddly quiet. You went over basic emotions, focusing on positive ones, almost like explaining what they were to a child. It felt silly, considering this was a walking search engine, but there was a notable curiosity in the way he questioned your words, and each session he seemed to have a better and better grasp on the complexities of them.

Which is why you were surprised that at the end of your sessions, he began telling you trivia.

"Avocados are considered a single-seed berry."

"Australia is wider than the moon by about 600 kilometers."

"A baby rabbit is referred to as a kit."

"Between the years of 1912 and 1948, music, painting, sculpture and architecture were all part of the Olympics."

You blinked, taking it all in stride until you held up your hand in the middle of the most recent one, where Google was explaining how humans are the only animals capable of feeling embarrassment, and that blushing is a unique phenomenon because of it.

"Google, I appreciate these facts, but...why? Why are you telling me about them?"

There was silence in the room for a long moment, as the android looked down at his hands. "Because, you have been teaching me. My research tells me that humans often require or expect a form of transactional repayment for work. I know it has not been easy to...educate a search engine, all things considered. I should be able to get an understanding from my resources. However..."

"It was missing the human element." You smiled softly, reaching out to take Google's hands in your own. His attention shifted upwards to meet your gaze, the almost silent hum of his internal electronics assisting the motion. "There's something different about seeing, hearing...experiencing the emotions. And that's what I'm here for. The best repayment for me, is to see those tiny little reactions, when something finally makes sense. You get a look when it makes sense. A little bit of triumph, and...a bit of understanding of what each emotion is. Joy, a bit of sorrow, all those things. Seeing you succeed is the best reward I could ever ask for."

And you knew that you had taught him. Because those microexpressions shifted over his face now, a subconscious story of surprise and of a soft happiness from your praise.

You still had much to teach him, and a long way to go, but you knew he would thrive with you by his side.

Might as well just talk about the Morket confession already. Loooooong post ahead

For context, in the months before IW, Morgs and R.ocket have gotten very, very close. They are a lot more comfortable with eachother, sometimes they even are affectionate and Morgen tells him pretty much every day that she loves him. Not necessarly in an overly romantic way, but she feels the need to remind him that. He almost never says it back. Sometimes a few "me too"'s slip from his mouth, but that would be all. He doesnt need to be vocal for Morgs to know that he loves and appreciates her as a friend too, especially since they've made so much progress together. She does have the biggest crush on him, and has had it for the past 4 years (it developed during/immediately after? vol 2; just seeing how caring he was towards Baby G.root made her heart absolutely melt and she slowly fell in love with him as the days passed) but she doesnt act on it. She keeps her affectionate gestures rather platonic, as platonic as forehead good night kisses can be though😆 Thing is, she doesnt mind if he loves her back romantically or not, she just wants to make him feel appreciated and for him to appreciate her back. The only person she tells about her crush is G.amora, since she's the most trustworthy of them all.

Considering he never showed her any kind of romantic affection back (although he starts to compliment her a lot when he drinks a bit too much), Morgen just assumed he's not interested and didnt do anything that implied she loves him more than just a friend. She was content and happy with just his friendship.

Rocky was confused. Very confused. He reciprocated her platonic affection because he got comfortable with her but what he didnt know was that he would eventually be hit with real sudden romantic thoughts. Kind of a realization moment, not exactly a build up. That scared him terribly. He couldnt allow himself to feel that kind of love towards anyone, let alone Morgen.

Her openness with her feelings and affection convinced him that she genuinely just wants to be friends with him and thats how she expresses herself. He thought that if she did have romantic feelings, she'd be more reserved and shy about it. He brushed his feelings off for a while, he really does not want to be in touch with his own emotions. He does not want to get attached, scared of the pain that will come after losing her. He got sick of his own attitude and made the HORRIBLE decision to start being a jerk to her again. To push her away. To make her hate him so that he wouldnt have to deal with his feelings anymore. He suddenly began to ignore her, insult her, reject any sort of affection she tried to initiate, overall just being really cold towards her. Comically so; it was too mean and rude even for him, but its what he thought he had to do. He was feeling awful and remorseful, but he didnt give up his act.

Morgen thought she did something wrong and he got mad at her and tried to get him to talk about it. Before this, they used to be very clear and verbal when something upset them and they'd quickly talk it out and solve it. But this time he had nothing to say. Because she didnt do anything wrong except love him. She tried for days to get him to talk to her, she was really worried and panicked the whole time, desperately trying to fix what she thought broke in their friendship. But it was of no use. She realised he was being mean to her on purpose, not because he was mad and couldnt control his emotions - he was making an active choice to be a jerk to the person that loved him the most. And that angered her. He clearly wasnt going to talk about it so she decided to give him the same treatment for the first time. It wasnt like she accepted his rude behaviour and remarks before, she always called him out on it when it went too far, but she never got this mad before. Let alone reciprocate his coldness. Lets just say, the rest of the G.uardians were pretty shocked. They all pretty much bicker with one another, but it was suuuuper unusual for R.ocket and Morgen to be THIS upset at each other. Morgen vented about her feelings to G.amora, trying to make some sense of the situation while Q.uill tried to get some sort of explanation from Rocky.

Overall it was a very tense atmosphere that continued for WEEKS😭 For a few days Morgen still came into Rocky's room before bedtime, to give him her usual good night forehead smooch but he did not accept any of that, growled at her to get the hell out of his room while she sat there looking at him like "☹️". She gave up eventually. She also had to stop bringing him snacks while he worked because he wouldnt even touch them anymore. Flake note here, writing this SUCKS and its ripping my heart into pieces but it will get better i promise.

Things fizzled out as the days passed, but they were still upset at each other - they just got used to it (🙁this sentence made me shed real tears). Fast forward to the day T.hor bumps into the G.uardians' spaceship window. They talk, blah blah watch the movie, and it gets to the point R.ocket, G.root and T.hor are about to leave to N.idavellir to get T.hor's new m.inecraft pickaxe or whatever. Usually Morgen would join them but this time she prefers to stay with the rest of the team, which is a first. Even if she's still mad at him, she tells R.ocket to take care ("...or else!") before he leaves. The whole time they are separated, Morgen is constantly thinking about him and hoping he was doing okay. They very rarely had separate missions and she was stressed out. Fast forward to purple guy snapping his fingers and killing half the population of the universe. In that moment, Rocky was on Earth with the a.vengers and Morgen was on Titan (planet where the G.uardians and the T.ony S.trange P.eter crew tried to fight T.hanos). All these words make me re-live 2018 wowow. She was left with the other two survivors, T.ony and Nebs. That was the moment that made her finally break down and she spent the next few days doing nothing but crying (or the zteamer person equivalent of crying) and constantly having to repair her shell cracks. Her entire face had entirely cracked at one point and she waddled around the spaceship looking like W.ithered B.onnie. I wonder what funny jokes mr Iron made about this situation.

Anyways, Captain M.arvel comes and brings the spaceship back to earth and its reunion time!!!! Important shit, finally. Morgen almost screams with joy seeing that R.ocket is still alive and gives him the biggest hug ever. She's almost out of energy at that point but she's insanely happy and grateful to see that he was okay. The first thing he does is apologize to her for being such a jerk in the past few weeks, but she shushes him and tells him it's all okay.

They are still in shock after the recent events, since they just lost their entire found family but they get to sit down and have a serious talk a few days after. R.ocket makes a genuine apology to her about his behaviour and the way he treated her. Morgen forgives him fully but still wants to know what the hell upset him so much. He really cant say it at first, but he painfully tries to explain to her what he feels. He is honest about their relationship, the way she makes him feel, the consequences of all her care and affection that resulted in him being incredibly attached to her. Then, he told her why that scared him so much. He was teriffied of the idea of falling in love AND losing that person and having to deal with the pain that comes after. Morgen understood and she couldnt stay mad at him. She comforted him as much as she could and reassured him that love is never in vain and there is no point in running away from it, pushing all of those who care about you away, just because of a hypothetical situation. Yeah, he definitely could lose her, space is a dangerous place, but why deprive yourself of love entirely? Why not enjoy the present? She encouraged him to be brave and open about how he feels. At least to her. At least now. After they lost everything else. He finally told Morgen how much he loves her. How sorry he is for treating her with coldness when all she did was take care and comfort him whenever he needed. She told R.ocket that she loves him too. And she has, for such a long time. He was pretty impressed at how patient she was with him. And grateful. Very grateful that she was part of his life and she was willing to get the stubborn idea that he was unlovable out of his head. That would be when they officialy started a relationship.

Of course N.ebula heard the entire conversation and got a lot of second hand embarassment from it, but as the years passed she grew very fond of them. They were the only 3 g.uardians left alive after the snap, so they became close friends. Even after the rest of the team came back, during E.ndgame, Nebs was still the only one who knew about Morgs' and Rocky's relationship. They preffered to keep it hidden from the rest but that didnt last too long. It was pretty damn obvious they were even closer than before. That and T.hor kept mentioning it by accident (they never told him they were a couple, he just assumed it💀in e.ndgame they both team up with him to get one of the stones. "Rabbit, is she your girlfriend?🤔")

This one is a bit more of an extra fact, but outsiders had a hard time accepting their relationship once they were more open about it. Aeneas was fricking flabbergasted and also felt slightly insulted that Morgen rejected HIM (ultimate beauty what can i say) and got with "THE LITTLE BEAST??!!,?," but he was too busy running the planet (after IW Aeneas is finally able to become the leader of Zteamer) to focus too much on it. Anyone outside their aquaintances was a little weirded out about the couple (Earth people being the most weirded out) but they didnt let that affect them too much. It was all the same problem of not seeing R.ocket as an actual person with feelings and thoughts. Those who knew Morgen's species though were less judgemental because they disliked equally Zteamer people and animal-looking people and had no respect for either of them. Point is, it was a struggle. But they managed, because they loved the other too much. And nobody outside their relationship was allowed to interfere with it.

They care for eachother so so much and they are glad they are able to express it without shame now. They hug after battles and they make little hearts with their hands when they are at a distance to say "i love you". They have a thing called "big heart little heart" where one (usually Morgen) makes a big heart symbol with their entire arms (like ballerinas who put their hands over their head in a circle shape but here its a heart) and the other (usually R.ocket) has to respond with a little heart, more subtle, made from their hands (just the usual heart pose people do). Sometimes there's a third littlest heart which is just the korean heart sign (made from fingers only). They dont like pda, but they still find ways to show their affection for one another ♡

Im about halfway through Party Crasher rn and its insane how bland Adrien is normally and how endearing he is when we get to see him hang out with his friends without him being on this pedastal by Marinette. Its not even like hes always that boring when Marinette is around or like this show cant write them being cute together because when they were hanging out as "just" friends in season 2 they were honestly pretty adorable! I also really liked them when they thought they were a couple in Oblivio, but for some reason the writers insist on writing Marinette as this bumbling fool whenever shes around him so anytime theres an opportunity for them to spend time together and develop their relationship, we need to get through this barage of bullshit hijinks where Marinette can barely get a word out and then the episode ends with a small moment where something kinda cute-kinda romantic happens but it doesnt actually affect their relationship in any meaningful way

I honestly think focusing more on Adrien would make the romance so much better because it would actually gives us reasons for Marinette to like Adrien because as it stands she really only seems to like him for shallow reasons but the show doesnt really acknowledge that? Like, they try to paint characters like Chloe and Lila as in the wrong for only liking Adrien for his looks and money but its fine for Marinette to do the same thing because idk, shes nice ig not a poorly-written caricature of the Mean Popular Girl archetype ? Granted, MLB has that False Ideal Self/True Flawed Self dichotomy-thing going on with Adrien obviously being that false ideal self in contrast to Cat Noir so you could say it kind of is calling her shallowness out but idk, this just reeks of misogyny to me

Also, before anyone accuses me of anything, I dont mind Marinette being the sole protagonist of the show while Adrien is just the love interest rather than the co-protagonist like you would think from the full title, I just think romances inherently work best when all of the people involved get an equal amount of focus and get fleshed out equally. I think if they wanted to have Marinette be the sole protagonist, it wouldve been better to focus more on female friendships (which is what actual magical girl shows tend to do anyway) and spend more time exploring the relationships between Lila and Chloe and Marinette/Ladybug. That would be a pretty interesting way to handle the theme of Persona vs Real Self with Chloe bullying Marinette but idolising Ladybug and Lila despising Ladybug but wanting to be friends with Marinette (ik that doesnt actually happen but shhhh Im trying to dream up a better version of this bad show) and you could even do something with Kagami outwardly being the type of person you would expect to be Ladybug but no actually being Ladybug and maybe even wanting a life closer to the one Marinette has

Also, to kinda bring this back around to Party Crasher, one of the things that I do apperciate about the show is how the Miracuclass feels like a big 'loose' friendgroup with smaller more close-knit 'sub' friendgroups within it. I dont exactly know what french school culture is like, but it seems like once the classes are picked, youre gonna be spending most of your time at school in the same group for several years. Its like that in germany too and since most popular media is american and about The American School Experience, I dont often get to see that dynamic portrayed in media and I appreciate that. I just wish we could have a few episodes that focus a bit more on those smaller dynamics, like Max and Kim have a pretty sweet unlikely friendship going on, the person Nathaniel texts his bad excuse to is Alyx and they have similar interests and seem happy to sit next to each other but I feel like they hardly interact, it'd be nice to flesh out Marinettes Girl Squad and some of their individual relationships a bit because aside from Rose and Juleka and Marinette and Alya I kinda feel like the only reason they hang is just that theyre all the girls in their class who dont suck ass. Also, this isnt really based on anything in canon, but I recently had a thought that Nino and Luca would probably get along well since theyre both musicians and theyre both meant to be Cool Guys, just in different ways and I like Adrien and Ninos friendship and the few times Adrien and Luka got to interact I thought they were cute and idk, ive been getting really attached to the idea of Adrien, Luka and Nino as a trio

hmmm i dont think i have any super unpopular opinions abt video games? i'll give u a three part ramble response tho on three different fronts:

most of my dislikes is just personal (like i dont get how ppl are really into stardew it just seems like smthn thatd get boring to me super quickly i hate games that really need a routine and if ur looking at it from the bachelor/bachelorette side also it seems. lackluster theyre all boring basic milquetoast white ppl except for like 2 characters) (or me not liking shooters or team games in general mainly bc im bad at aiming but i feel like ppl playig those games tend to be too high strung and a lil annoying which makes me more anxious/a worse aim)

idk if this one is unpopular either but i dont get the whole clover/alice ship for vlr. like are they close? yeah anyone could see that but i dont think theres any romance to it. i think alice is in a position where shes got too much heart for her job though. having clover do such high stakes missions where shes in danger a lot probably takes agood toll on her but i think thats from the position of her not wanting anyone else and their families to have to go through the struggle she had to with her father and she knows clover has been through the game before and that she has her brother to think about. i also think clover just does admire alice and see her as a companion but more like a mentor than a romantic partner yknow? i mean also ppl can just ship what they want it doesnt have to have a long drawn out reason but to me its just like w/e.

one i KNOW i get teased at a bit for is liking visual novels over other types of game and like. sure w/e im playing a power point we get it. but having the visual with you when engaging with a story makes it hit a lot harder! its not like a show or a movie where you just watch it unfold and cant take it at your own pace vis novels put you in the drivers seat and allow you to experience the story while it unfolds! it lets you make choices and see where you end up! ill even include dating sims in this bc trust me i know theres a ton of lackluster bottom-of-the-barrel sims but i think u have to play a few of those to really appreciate how hard a good one can hit you
