Mistletoe

Warnings: fluff, swearing, 3rd person Harry focused

A/N: I've only known Harry for 6 days and I love him

𝓜𝓪𝓼𝓽𝓮𝓻𝓵𝓲𝓼𝓽

Having people over for the holidays wasn’t what Harry thought would be happening right now, but his house was bustling. Although not many people were there, they definitely made it seem that way. Jay was in the kitchen getting snacks, Zen was sitting on the couch talking to you, Teo was talking to Joseph and Kola, Minwoo was somewhere Harry isn't sure where exactly, and Yuri and Doyoung were passing out drinks.

Harry was a little overwhelmed as Teo hadn’t even asked to invite all these other people. They just showed up. Harry was a little shocked and excited to see you though, you always made him feel better... even if he didn’t act like it.

“Hey, Harry, can you help?” Jay asks, rushing past with at least 3 bowls and plates stacked on top of each other. Harry didn’t understand why they needed so many snacks, but he didn’t mind as long as they cleaned up after.

“I’ll help too.” You smile, excusing yourself from your and Zen’s conversation.

Harry followed you into the kitchen and grabbed the few remaining things. You both walked through the doorway into the living room.

“Ah!” Teo calls, pointing to the doorframe. You both look up and see mistletoe.

“I fucking hate him.” Harry sighs.

“You guys can’t move until you kiss!” Teo laughs.

“Can we at least set the snacks down first?” You ask. You both knew Teo would keep to his word, but he also loved food. He hesitantly nodded.

“Why are you encouraging this?” Harry questions, as you both stand back in the doorframe, the snacks safely on the table.

“You are too, you didn’t have to come back.” You pointed out. “You are bigger than Teo, you could probably swing him over your shoulder and throw him into the snow.”

“Maybe I want to see how this goes.” Harry smiles. You both stand there for a while, just looking at each other, trying to gauge each other’s movements.

“For fucks sake...” Zen groans, you both turn to look at him, his head hanging off the back of the couch. “Just kiss and get it over with or we’ll play the movie without you.”

You both turn back to each other, neither one of you moving still. Hesitantly, Harry leaned down and pressed his lips to yours softly. His hands placed gently on your face and waist. The gentleness is what shocked you, he wasn’t a very friendly guy.

He slowly pulled away, your noses still brushing against each other. His blue eyes were slightly dilated, his breath somewhat labored. You felt your heart thrumming in your throat, you wanted to say or do something, but your shock still had ahold of you.

Harry pulled away completely, clearing his throat a little before stepping out of the doorframe, a blush dusting his cheeks.

Hey, look who decided to show up! AND I COME BEARING GIFTS!

The Ssum is out and I'm on D-52, so of course I just had to write some angst. Also, READ WITH CAUTION, this one-shot includes minor spoiler for those who haven't reached D-31.

ENJOY!

Teo x MC ft. Zen

The health-conscious yet delicious snacks you prepared for Teo slipped from your hands and crashed to the floor. The hustle and bustle of the studio died out, and a deafening silence took its place. The giddiness in your chest vanished into thin air, and your heart sank into a dark place you hadn’t known for a long time.

The one person you hoped you wouldn’t see was now staring at you from across the lot. You should've known this by now. You should've known how much Zen loved this environment and would find any excuse to be part of it. Your hope to avoid him was empty, and now that he's here, old feelings came flooding back.

You wanted to hear his voice, his laugh. You wanted to watch as his eyes lit up, the way they did whenever he saw you. You wanted his cologne to cling to you and feel his hand wrapped around yours. That is until you saw the heartbreak evident on his face as he stood frozen in place. All your wants, all those feelings, died for a second time. It hit you just how much of you still clung to this beautiful person, and you instinctively took a step back, ready to run away and hide, only to be stopped by the warmth of another person behind you.

A cheery voice broke the tension and brought you back to the present. “Honey~ you came to visit me?”

Your boyfriend took your hands, gently guiding your body to face him, and now that Zen was out of your sight, the ache you were feeling whittled away as Teo showed you his bright smile. He was happiness, he was now, and he easily outshined your pain. The wants, the feelings, they weren't gone--not completely--but you were beginning to love Teo more than you ever thought you would.

Zen watched the exchange, feeling conflicted as he noticed the genuine smile that began to color your face. He loved that smile. Correction, he loves that smile, so he smiled in return. It wasn’t bright and foolishly lovesick like Teo’s or a smile of comfort like yours. His smile was bittersweet and painfully beautiful. It went unnoticed and unseen, only there to strengthen his already crumbling resolve. It was a mask and a poorly crafted one at that. If you had just turned around, you would see how terribly he was holding it together and how much that dispirited smile expressed just how much he still loved you.

Zen had chosen to let you go, to let you be happy with someone else, instead of keeping you waiting for a time he couldn’t be certain would ever come. It would be unfair of him to expect you to wait for him. It would be unfair of him to feel anything but happy for the one girl he loved more than any other, especially when he could never imagine anyone ever being more important to him than you. And for that reason, Teo had you now, and you were happy, so Zen was happy too.

About the MysMes x Ssum theories:

I've actually seen screenshots about Teo talking about a game called Mystic Messenger and showed the original opening picture which proves the existence of the mysmes cast, but it's just that- still a game.

It's just weird at that point to think of the game inside a different game...

I'm currently behind on the chats due to the dreaded "24-hour bug" that's hit so many players, but I did see some tweets about that, yeah! Seems like they're sprinkling a lot of MysMe referenes into Ssum. I think that's cool, it's fun to see the references, but I agree it's kinda weird thinking of MsyMe as just a phone game in Teo's world. 😂 I think I'd prefer it if the MysMe cast were real people in Teo's world. Maybe do some cute references to Zen at least, considering Teo's profession.

Summary: You get to finally meet Harry in person. Harry struggles with his feelings

A/N: My heart aches a little after Day 35, but I’m here to bring this to make it better.

Nothing could prepare Harry for when he got to meet you. He had never had issues with his feelings before, but talking to you made his heart flutter.

You decided to meet at a local cafe. He had a almost comically large cup of black tea. He had been nursing it, waiting for you to arrive. Harry's heart seemed to make it's home in his throat, his mind dancing with thoughts of you.

"Harry." You smiled, taking a seat across from him.

Pui-Pui wasn't too happy about you 2 meeting. Not because it didn't want you to, but because you had purposefully left your phones at home so Pui-Pui couldn't interfere. It was a good think you printed directions out, you had no way to contact Harry if you got lost.

Harry enjoyed hearing you talk, so he made sure to ask questions that will get you to talk more. He loved the face you made when you were talking about a story of some shitty customer or how your eyes lit up when you talked about your interests.

"You're awfully quiet, Harry." You point out.

"I just like hearing you talk." He answers, taking the last sip of his tea. He looked at the bottom of the cup, surprised he even drank that much. "But... I think it's about time for us to leave."

"Oh..." Your heart sank, hoping that this date wouldn't end. For the first time your date actually wanted to hear about you. Though, you felt bad that you only seemed to talk about yourself.

"Come on." Harry said next to you, his hand outstretched. You took it and he pulled you out of your seat, towards the door.

You walked with Harry, your arm through his while both your hands were in your pockets. You could see your breath, but Harry kept you plenty warm. It was his turn to talk and he did. Harry didn't really have much to talk about, he didn't enjoy senseless conversation, but it didn't feel so meaningless with you.

Eventually your date came to an end, to both your and Harry's dismay, at your apartment door.

"I had fun tonight." You tell him, making eye contact.

"So did I." He answers, his heart hammered in his chest. Malong and Train had forced a pep talk on him earlier in the week, telling him to pay attention for your signals. You 2 had been dating for a few months, but actually seeing you in person threw him off his rhythm.

You glaced at his lips. You weren't a date expert, let alone a love expert, but this is normally when the guy kisses the girl. You know... In those coming of age shows.

Harry was thinking the same thing, though he hasn't seen those shows, he remembered Malong mentioning it. Especially since he saw you glance at his lips before going back to making eye contact. He quickly glaced at your lips too, was that a signal?

Harry honestly want sure, but he felt like you hoped he'd kiss you. So he did. One hand found your waist, the other snuck around to the back of your head, begging you not to pull away.

As if...

Your hands found his neck, sliding them into his hair. Anyone outside of this situation either thought you were 2 lovesick teenagers or a newly wed couple the way you were acting.

You pull away, mostly to get air, but also to take this into private. Lord knows what your neighbors would think. You turn around to unlock your door.

Harry panicked, thinking he has read the situation wrong. You opened the door and pulled him inside. He was about to apologize, but you kissed him again. This time it was softer, not as desperate.

“I don’t ever want to forget this moment.” You mumble, against his lips. He couldn't help, but smile.

He didn't want this to end. Harry didn't believe in love... At first. But hearing you say that made his entire view on love shift. You wanted to remember your first kiss with him. What else did you keep in the permanent storage of your brain?

"Is everything okay?" You ask, smoothing your hands over his shoulders.

"I was just thinking..." He answers.

"About?"

"I think... I think I believe in love."

Ssum MC x Zen

There was something different about Zen from other boys when you met him. He made your heart pound, that was a given, but that wasn't it. It wasn’t how he piled on the dramatics or that he was an unworldly kind of handsome. It was something far more fundamental and personal, soft and vulnerable. It was something you failed to see until you were no longer a couple. He was waiting for someone, and sometimes, you would catch him looking for her in a crowd. Maybe that's what made him so appealing, outside of his good looks. Maybe it was the devotion and maturity he saved for someone he hadn't met and how it made one hope the person he was waiting for could be you.

Zen didn't know her, he hadn't met her, but he was always looking for her, whether he was aware of it or not. He was waiting for someone special and uniquely suited for him. Someone that could handle his theatrics and loved them in a way you struggled to; someone that saw past his beauty but didn’t ignore it. Someone that embraced his weakness and saw his pain. These were not your qualities. You were young, too young, and stupid, only dating him because he was breathtaking, keeping him close because he fit into the frame of movie romance. He was both sensitively artistic yet wild and free. And sadly, most of him was a secret to you. You knew his open-hearted feelings and his dreams, but how far did you read into that information? You didn’t know his real name, but she would. You didn't see his weak side, but she would. You weren’t the someone he had been looking for, and maybe you already knew, but you only learned the truth when he pulled away.

It hurt, and it ached at first. Zen was sweet and affectionate. Attentive and kind. Yet, sometimes that annoyed you, and perhaps it was because you didn't love him in the way he so desperately wanted to be loved. Maybe the someone he’s waiting for won’t be annoyed with his affections. Maybe she'll love him the way he pinned after. He was passionate and honest yet lacked a sort of confidence, although you missed that low confidence. Perhaps, she’ll see that lack of confidence and help him rebuild it. Sometimes he looked incredibly lonely, even with you by his side, and you could never understand why. Maybe she’ll know the meaning behind that loneliness. Maybe she’ll be everything you weren’t and more. That thought was warm and genuine.

You liked Zen. He probably knew you weren't his special one, yet he offered you all his heart while you only gave him half. He deserved the girl he was waiting for, and you hoped he would find her. You hoped that she would love him in the way you never could. You hoped she cherished him, and you knew he would treasure her. Yes, you're his ex, but you hoped for his best.
