It still irritates the hell out of me how well Sylvie seems to have accepted Loki's absence. I mean, come on, Loki SACRIFICED himself so that in the end she could come back and live her happy life the way she wanted. But in this scene she seems to be talking about the fucking wind, they ruined her so much in this second season.

While Mobius seems SAD AS HELL. ALONE in a new life that he still doesn't know how to deal with and that he didn't ask for, without the presence of the person he liked most. He looks so devastated, like someone came and destroyed his favorite jetski, when in fact the only thing destroyed was his and Loki's chance to ride that damn jetski TOGETHER.

What is Neuvillette’s love language?

It’s not rare to see people moved to tears upon receiving them, touched by the amount of care he puts into each one. As with gifts, Zhongli is also liberal with the words of affirmation he gives others. He does not hesitate to state a person’s strengths, nor how high of a regard he holds them. With him, there is no room for doubt. 

What is Zhongli like in a relationship?

You don’t exactly know when you both became an item. As wordy as Zhongli is, he never bothered to tell you his feelings plainly. He even rejected you at first, stating he didn’t see you in that way. But then he said he’d try, didn’t he? And from that point, things began to change. How he’d invite you to Miss Yun’s performances, or offered his arm for you to take while he’d walk you home. How he’d tell you the most outrageous stories with a straight face, then laugh with an amused glint in his eye when you took him seriously. Somewhere along the way, the wall he kept began to fall.

Still, it is hard to tell his feelings as he never becomes the most physical with his affections. He does not hug you, nor does he hold your hand when you walk at his side. Something that’s been gnawing at my brain since the latest episode aired is that no one in game has talked about the kiss. And obviously it’s because they have more important things to focus on (betrayals of trust, deep-cut family and abandonment issue, finally-boiling-over anger, DELILAH) but I can’t help putting the callowmoore glasses on and thinking about the angst and potential of it all!!

Imagine: it’s further down the line and maybe (after so much apologizing, after so much groveling, after so much trying and working towards earning everyone’s trust back) Ash and Fearne are okay again.

And maybe sometimes, even though he’d be too embarrassed/shy to admit it, they think about that kiss again. A quick, very awkward, kind of uncomfortable, and very not-smooth attempt at returning that stolen kiss from the airship all that time ago. A kiss that may very well have been their last because god the shard thing was really fucking stupid.

And maybe he thinks about how Fearne deserved better than that. Deserves better than that. And he seeks her out one day, in a quiet nook, or an empty hallway, or maybe he’s brave enough to even seek her out in her room, and he stumbles and stutters his way through asking for a do-over.

And maybe she’ll laugh or be confused, or, if they ever reach that point again, she’ll tease and prod and take joy out of the awkward, floundering mess of a titan in front of her.

And maybe, she lets him, and they kiss again but this time, he kisses Fearne Calloway the way she deserves. Because she is lovely, and caring, and full of so much life and love and wonder, and he fucked it up the first time but now theyve got a second chance and they won’t fuck it up.

And maybe they don’t. Maybe they kiss her like she’s everything, because she is. And maybe, by some miracle, they end up being more than okay at the end of their journey, wherever it may lead afterwards.

In honor of his 110th birthday, I bring you a reel of some of his animation work! He was such a versatile cartoonist--animation, directing, comics, puppeteering, stop motion--that it feels criminal only such a select portion of his work gets talked about. He’s one of only a handful who have the distinction of animating in a short they also directed!

There are no second chances in this sport Nico, his father used to tell him when he was a child. You either win or you don't, and losing is unnaceptable.

Nico never said anything back to his father, because his father was larger than life. A World Champion and a man whom people, if not precisely loved, at least respected. Nico was a child, holding his father's hand in the crowds and dreaming of being his father's equal one day. Dreaming of the crowds parting for him, too, as he took his own child to see the Ferrari exhibit someday in the future.

"I don't think there are many second chances in this life," Mika had said to him once when he was barely out of his teenage years. "People who give them to us, they get tired, you know." His fingers were playing with Nico's hair absent-mindedly, and Nico didn't dare move kr acknowledge Mika's words in any way that would make Mika realize what he was doing and stop. "Sometimes you come to your twentieth second chance, and the person giving them to you is tired, and so they stop trying." He had smiled then, that handsome smile of his. Nico knew Mika was looking through him despite staring intk his eyes. "And so the second chance becomes a last one, and you don't even realize it. A shame." His smile turned sour, but he hadn't stopped playing with Nico's hair for hours after, and that was more than enough.

"There are no second chances!" Niki had screamed at him once. "There are no fucking second chances, and if you're lucky enough to get one by some stupid twist of fate, you don't waste it! You don't fucking waste it on childish pettiness and pointless grudges! You," Niki had yelled, and then put his hand on his chest, gasping for breath. Nico had hoped he wouldn't get a heart attack tight then, which was a possibility with how red his face was and how shallow his breathing. He didn't want to be known as the person who sent Niki Lauda to his grave when even an exploding car couldn't have done it. "You don't waste it, kid," Niki had rasped, and Nico nodded and thought about fastest way to call for team medics the moment Niki barked for him to get out.

"I don't know if I can do this again, Nico, how many second chances..." Jenson had started to say, but he was done the moment his eyes fell on Nico's lips. Nico put his hand on Jenson's chest, and nuzzled in, and that was it. Just like Jenson was done every single time up until then, and would be done every single time in the future when Nico seeks him out.

Lewis never spoke about second chances to Nico. Nevertheless, he was there for all of it.

A hand in his at the Ferrari exhibit, a guest of his father's and Nico's only friend, in Monaco. Waiting for Nico at the airport to get back from his vacations in Finland. Pushing a glass of water into Niki's hands and then helping him drink it while Nico called the medics. On the other side of the stall door in the bathroom in the club in Monaco as Nico pushed Jenson down on his knees.

"It's good to see you," Nico said, and it was the truth. Lewis always shone brightest when he won, and a P2 was a win in itself under the circumstances.

"Thank you," Lewis replied, and smiled, and answered all of Nico's questions politely, and walked away at the end of his interview, giving his microphone to Russell.

"It's real good to see you, man," Lewis had said on Saturday when they had lunch in Lewis' trailer.

"Thank you," Nico had replied, and took another bite of his chickpea salad.

They didn't speak much over lunch, but they didn't need to. Just like they didn't need to speak when Lewis knocked on Nico's door at the cabin in Ibiza that Nico, against all precautions, started to think of as theirs. They have used it, on and off, for the past two decades after all.

Some things don't bear repeating, and some things are too intrinsic to ever have to be said.

You know you’re so right with the whole Laios’ desire thing and tbh? It never say right with me that the other characters never really accepted or embraced his traits. They were always quick to judge and voice their distaste for his quirks all the way up to the end. I’m not criticizing the creator of course but mainly addressing the character flaws that are present in the characters and how tbh is reflected in even the fandom now that the anime adaptation is rolling out. Peak autism experience😭

yeah, it's just a bit rough, being such a fan of him! and i didn't mean to imply there's no broad acceptance of laios, because obviously we see everyone become close and (particularly near the end, after the Big Events but before the Big Dinner), there's that moment where everyone demonstrates they care about laios and are glad he's safe and alive, even if they could be mad for all the trouble that got caused by his actions.

i do think, in the end, his friends understand him better than they did. they might not click with all aspects of him, but it doesn't mean they don't care. still, it's difficult to see laios express himself so earnestly and it constantly be treated with bemusement at best and outright disgust or aggression at worse

idk maybe it's a thing to hope for in his future... maybe with time it's something that could change
