hillerska doesn't take the strike seriously- it's something fun and gimmicky almost; a party instead of a protest. they know they're going to win. they have rich parents they can threaten the school with and have never been told no for more than a few weeks in their lives.

wille can afford to join in, he can give into peer pressure and take the easy way out. even if simon tries to point out the irony of the whole situation, this is what he's comfortable with, and a "stand" the crown won't say anything about. hell, simon even shares food with him when he gets hungry while the others are laughing over auctioning food.

henry says ar one point "if I knew it would be a hunger strike, I wouldn't have done it" and cincent admits he didn't think it'd take this long. these people have no idea how long it take real change to happen. they don't have a concept of what suffering for a cause or belief is, and felice and wille are included in that. this is why he has such a hard time listening and understanding what simon's trying to say.

speaking of the demonstration, that's real life for simon. it's not trivial things like getting your phone taken away or not getting a fancy graduation. he's had to work since he was 14, his mother has to work to feed them, and he faces elitism and classism every day. it's not something he can choose to look away from or join in just for fun.

it reflects wille and simon's attitudes about everything that's happened. their clashes are based on fundamental differences in their view of how the world works. wille has learned that following what tradition says or what the majority says is the most neutral answer that keeps him out of trouble. it's very, very hard for him to break out of that mindset, even when he's trying and even when he has made an effort. simon needs to fight for himself and fight a vast majority because this is his life. wille isn't the one who might have to move or the one deleting his social media or having rocks thrown through windows treated like it's not a big deal.

Man it's been a long time since I've done an ask cluster! Let's see if I can get some down...

He's an extremely fun character to write for and play with! So in that sense I'm fond of him, haha. He's such a huge disaster of a person, there's always something fun to do with him. Well "fun" in a relative sense.

I don't have anything to forgive him for, he didn't hurt me. |D He hurt the brothers!

I do have an idea for a cute feature inspired by Six-Eared Macaque! I should really sit down and do that already... and finish the one I half started but never finished...

I don't think my opinion on any of them changed! I love them all, haha. Which ones I drew comics about just depends on which ones I get ideas for really. Sometimes I get Alphys ideas and sometimes I get Goatparents ideas! Inspiration is fickle!

I don't have any solid plans or anything. :B Just gonna keep chugging along with silly comics and art! Work on Defrag and such. I'd like to finish a Ladyverse comic I've had lying around forever, and I had vague plans for doing a doujin for them too I could work on... and also seeing if I could format Handplates into a book format... I've always got a bunch of projects, haha.

It works on that level! It wasn't intentional though. |D

I do enjoy speculation! I don't really have much of my own though, I didn't predict anything in chapter 2 so now I'm assuming I can't predict anything in the future chapters either, haha.

Emesis Blue is great! Some really beautiful visuals in there, very striking! Love the mood of it too and a lot of the surreal imagery. I think it helped spur me back into TF2 again, haha. Medic and Scout's relationship was so cute.

I have thought about this! It has its share of challenges though... I outlined them more in this post. A pdf would be more doable though... could even include some extra stuff as well! Hmm...

I can see that! He'd probably spend as much time out in the rain as he could just doing whatever to stay outside.

It was pretty much always going to end like that. I always wanted it to end on a hopeful note! Which might seem weird with how dark it is at the beginning. I DID for a brief period at the very beginning of Handplates think about stopping with the Pacifist run, but that was only because I thought going where I wanted to go would take too long and already the project seemed so dauntingly huge at the time, haha. But it was always going to end in a positive way!

Gaster talks about what he originally intended to create here, and he explains a bit about the physical experiments he runs on the brothers here. They aren't really a solution in and of themselves so much as tools to try and find a way to break the barrier. Really though, Gaster got stuck in the sunk-cost fallacy lol.

I don't really have opinions about what canon Gaster would be like. |D Handplates Gaster is his own thing really. Canon Gaster, who knows! Deltarune Gaster, who knows! I will say I hope Gaster stays a mystery in Deltarune and never actually shows up but I think the odds of that are really low at this point.

I thought about doing a script along those lines! I did a few rough drafts of one, but it never really went anywhere... it'd end up dead-ending or kind of meandering off. I might see if I can get an actual script down for a side-comic or something in the future... it might be better suited for a fic.

I was just thinking about this lately! I was picturing Gaster totally forgetting about that until he sees Papyrus squinting and is like OH GOD YOUR EYES THAT'S RIGHT D: and goes to get him looked at lol.

I couldn't come up with a good idea for Flowey which is a shame, I do like him, haha. If one comes to me though I might make a little side comic about it!

Gaster's LV is complicated... his stats in-game are ludicrous if I recall correctly. Did he carry the damage from his murders into the void, even if those murders weren't his in the new timeline? Deep thoughts.

He fed them anything he could find, haha. Which is why sometimes they just ended up with chocolate bars (which he intended as dinner for himself). He probably fed them more often than he fed himself lol. He did feed them fairly regularly though.

Not about skeletons, probably. |D

Man I know I had an explanation for this but it was so long ago... it's hard for me to remember. It could be that the Riverperson is just weird and has weird insight into elements of things, had a prophetic dream... I don't know! It bugs me now that I can't remember this, haha.

I return from the grave for one night only to post a Helluva Boss AU. Enjoy my delulu AU about a Christmas tree capitalist clown spider demon and his adopted cyborg clown son.

Also there is swearing and mentions of Fizzaroli's accident.

Mammon being a half decent step-dad AU

Mammon hears about Fizz much earlier though the grapevine (Paimon complaining to all royal demons about how his son got rid of all their shit bc of some clown kid)

Interested, he attends a show in disguise.

He finds that Fizz is good. Like, really good! Dollar signs start popping up in his head. Also the little bugger kind of reminds him of himself.

Immediately asks to buy Fizz from Cash Buckzo. He refuses at first because Fizz is his star but with strong negotiating tactics (money and threats) he caves.

Fizz is nervous about leaving his only home behind but is excited to be "adopted" by Mammon! His hero!

It's giving bought by One Direction vibes

At first Mammon was planning to just train him to be a child actor/clown, give him a TV show and pawn him off to someone to actually raise full-time. He wanted to be the convenient step-dad, not a full time parent!

That changed after the first couple nights with Fizz living in his mansion.

It started with Fizz handing him a red balloon horse.

"Alright, not bad kid, but can ya make a balloon unicorn?"

Fizz ran off to attempt to make it. That'll keep him busy for a few hours, guess that meant he could make some calls and... He was back already with the completed unicorn.

"Give me another!"

"Uh, alright ya little bugger, why dontcha make a Quevie?"

This back and forth happened for the next few hours, with Mammon judging the balloon animal, giving a few pointers when he messed up, and Fizz making the next animal he asked for.

Damn, this parenting shit is easy.

It eventually got so late that Fizz fell asleep on the couch trying to complete a kangaroo.

Sighing, Mammon picked Fizz up and carried him to the bedroom he hired someone to decorate. He tucked him into bed and finally after an entire day was able to make a call.

However, the first call he made wasn't to the networking company or his broadcasting station. Instead, it was to Lucifer, his self proclaimed best friend and a successful parent.

"What is it Mammon? Do you have any idea how late it is?"

"Yeah, yeah. I just had a quick question for ya. What do children eat? Cereal? Oats? Ice cream?"

Needless to say, Lucifer had a long talk with Mammon about how to raise a kid, stating it'd be hard work.

After hanging up and going to bed, Mammon had only one thought on his mind. To raise this kid better than any of the other Sins could. His boy would be talk of the town and the best clown in all of Hell.

That first week of parenting went about as well as you'd expect.

Mammon had the approach of being "The fun step-dad" which included eating candy for every meal, teaching him swear words and showing him how to do all the tricks he thought a capable child could do.

(These tricks may or may not have included tax evasion and driving)

Speaking of, Mammon insisted on bringing Fizzaroli everywhere. Including work.

"Mammon, sir, I'm sorry for filing the paperwork for the expansion of LooLoo Land wrong- is that a child?"

"Yeah, this is my boy. Look attem. Ain't he talented!" Cue Fizz hanging off one of his arms. "Whatdya think Fizzie? Should we keep or fire him?"

Mammon would belly laugh whenever Fizzaroli would copy his swearing or accent. When is children swearing NOT funny?

Mammon's definitely the type to have tons of pictures in his wallet of his kid. Fizzaroli does get a TV show, lots of interviews and the spotlight often but whenever someone asks Mammon about him he immediately opens the photo wallet.

(He would kill anyone who even touched it)

Of course he still has some of the Mammon-ness we know, bribing and pushing Fizz to do shows, acts, commercials and more, causing Fizz to start getting overwhelmed.

Then one day Fizz's accident happened (it's a canon event)

Mammon practically broke down Belphagor's door when he got the news Fizz was hurt, demanding his boy get the best treatment in Hell.

Mammon didn't sleep for the entire time Fizz was in that hospital bed, sitting beside him for days at a time just thinking about how he nearly lost him. He couldn't lose him.

When Fizz woke up/was stable, Mammon was there during his emotional moments. When Fizz asked if Mammon would replace him he scoffed.

"Fizzie, why would I replace you? You're in recovery right now. A break. Yer fans are dying to see that Fizzie face when you get outta here. You're more popular and more in demand than ever. You do the recoverin and I'll show you the huge profit we return."

Mammon to English translation: It's stupid to think I'll leave. You'll be able to return to the stage, I'll make sure of it. You'll get better and I'll be here with you.

Fizz eventually recovered but needed limbs so Mammon sent a request (demand) to the best mechanic in Hell, Asmodeus. If anyone could make limbs for his boy it'd be that rooster fuck.

Of course just because Mammon had faith in him didn't mean he wasn't picky in what he delivered.

Mammon practically sent Asmodeus a list of limb adjustments and upgrades that needed to be done every other week. All other times he had Fizzie trying all these different therapies, practicing with his limbs, and occasionally try doing a trick. (Not clown car driving after last time). Eventually he was mostly satisfied with the work and to celebrate "Ozzie not *HONK*-ing up" he started teaching Fizz how to play the guitar.

Cue a bit of a time skip of say 7 years.

Fizz has his hands in nearly every facet of entertainment. News, sports, cooking competitions (which he surprisingly sucked at), and of course comedy. Fizz didn't want to say it but doing so much had him tired, stressed, and anxious. He was doing this for Mammon, the person who gave him everything. He couldn't just let him down. He'd seen what happened to those that failed him. All those people who got fired for mistakes they made. He couldn't fail.

At the same time Mammon wants to get into the robot doll industry. Not sex dolls because he can't stand the thought of his (boy) brand being sold like that. Mammon is surprised but ok with it as long as he visits and does a show every now and again. Especially guest judging the Clown Pageant.

He doesn't realize Fizz and Oz have a thing until the Clown Pageant (his final one in canon)

Once it comes out, oh boy, Mammon goes full demon mode. Shit gets ugly. Mammon goes on his normal rant (minus the "raised you like the son I didn't want" part) and Fizz, unwaivering because he's seen this a million times, retorts back with all the anxiety Mammon caused. The acting and shows. How it weighed on him. How he was so scared of fucking something up and getting kicked out.

"I'd never kick you out! You're the crown jewel of my empire! My runt turned pick of the litta! I made you in my image! If I pushed you hard it was because you could be better! I raised you! You've got my training in your back pocket so I knew you could be a better clown than I ever was! All of this was for you!"

Eventually Mammon breaks down and asks why Asmodeus. He's worried about their relationship considering he's known Asmodeus since the beginning of hell.

"Why do you need to date him when you have my empire! If you need money, we have it! If you need companionship, we can buy it! If you need power we have that too! We built this empire! Your talent brought in a fortune and you've seen how to run the business! If you need your own power or your own space you can have it!"

"I'm not with him for any of those things! I know I have everything else here! But I love him Mammon! He takes care of me. He's kind, sweet, handsome, and supports me even on my roughest days. I love him."

"...he makes you feel safe?"

"Yes."

"He treats you good?"

"He treats me amazingly."

"You love him?"

"With all my heart."

"...ok."

"Ok?"

"I... Respect your decision. I'm going to make it about me but please bear with me. I know I haven't been the best at raising you. I can be overbearing. And clingy. And I pushed you to do a lot of things that were hard or uncomfortable or er... greedy. I haven't been the best influence on your life but I did my best and if I had to I'd do it all over again."

"Mam..."

"Up up up, let me finish ya little shit. You know I have a hard time letting go of things. And I was kidding myself when I thought I'd have ya forever. I forgot how fast ya implings grow up. I thought I could keep ya safe and smilin but I couldn't even do that right. The second most painful thing I experienced in my life was gettin kicked from heaven. The most was seein you in that hospital bed. I've been smotherin ya since. Yer my boy and I wanted better for ya. Thought I could protect ya if I pushed harder. Taught ya more. Did more shit with ya. But in the end you were always gonna have ta leave ta find a life of yer own.

Mammon paused, taking a familiar but heavily deflated remnant of a red horse balloon from under his hat

"I'm at least glad ya took somethin after me. Yer greedy like me and ya landed the best bachelor Hell has ta offer. I... I don't want to let ya go but... Ya need to do this. Live yer life kid, and live it better than me."

The fucking stadium was in tears (me too tbh)

Before Fizz could say anything (he was choking on his words) Mammon extended a card with his sigil on it.

"Remember I'm always here. Please... Call me if ya need me."

Fizz wrapped his robotic limbs around Mammon, bringing him in for a tight hug.

"I love you, Dad."

Mammon cried on that stage, hugging the son he always wanted.

IMPORTANT: please suggest quotes for those I don't have an idea for! It'd be very helpful, especially because I don't have all the VODs! I need quotes for: Rae, Caspian, Momboo, Jamie, Easton, Centross, Ven, Athena, Wolf, Arisanna, Haley, and Icarus. Open for suggestions on Ocie, Ulysses, and Aax!

I think when Fable ends I'm going to work on a series of pieces- love letters to the entire story and how much it's impacted me. I've got a few planned but I need Fable to end before I start it, because whatever happens from now to the finale- including the finale itself, is going to be so important in relation to these! A few of the already like- dead dead characters I can work with though

I want to include text within them, so;

Rae - Rae's is going to be one of the most fun. There is so much I can do- so many directions. The finale will probably solidify which I do! A few things are for certain though; 1) aspects of the skulk. Most likely will be vines crawling up the background! 2) Aspects of the three shards- Alerion, Enderian, and Perix. Probably will be conveyed through color! Enderian will have a more specific nod as she's more present within Rae himself! Some sort of crown would sort of be my idea. 3) Stars. Of some sort, I want there to be stars. 4) A crown. Will probably be end-esque but we shall see!

Aax -There are a few things I know I want for Aax as well! 1) Four. Such an iconic thing for Aax- it's gotta be there. 2) Glowberries (because why not) 3) A trident and an axe. Aax's words will probably be something like "by design", or something about protecting Rae and Caspian!

Caspian - The problem with Caspian is I don't know an absolute ton about him! I do know a decent bit though, I'd say. A few things I want to include: 1) a quill. what's a writer without his tools? 2) A nod to momboo in some way. I'll figure that out. 3) Redstone/gadgetry of some kind. 4) something Atlas related, if not Atlas herself.

Momboo - I want a lot of nature themed elements, of course, but also a splash of color. The glitching. May do a half and half but probably not- it'll probably be worked in there somehow tho! I want nods to Jamie and Easton as well. Not sure on the quote yet!

Jamie - I hold Jamie in my little hands. I want nods to Athena, Momboo, and Easton in there, as well as Eeji, whatever the sheep is named, the camel and Solaris! I might have them as tiny creatures within the art piece itself! There will be an increase of nature themed elements as well, a nod to how they inherited that from Momboo! (no quote so far)

Easton: I don't know too much about Easton as well, sadly! I want to include lightning, skulk, nods to their mother and sibling, and the border will probably be a heart monitor type line (well within the border), a nod to how they see the world! (no quote so far)

Athena: I of course want Nether elements, but also a nod to Jamie, nature/flowers, and Cheshire! Cheshire might be included, possibly at the bottom or draped across Athena's neck. Whatever I can get to work! I kind of want to draw her in his fancy nether outfit, because I feel like it fits? (no quote so far)

Ven: The little traitor man! (/aff) I want nods to Fengari and some sort of writing detail! I don't know a ton about Ven, but I may include some nods to Fable (twisting yellow claws, etc!) (no quote so far!)

Ocie: I have the most idea for Ocie- she's the one that started my brain a'going. One of the strongest themes in Ocie's character is grief. It's lost so many people- and now another one, Len. Features I want to include are: 1) a nod to Momboo, 2) Oscar, 3) I kind of want her eyes to glow, 4) a heart of the sea, 5) tears. The words on her piece will probably be "Another empty grave." (or "I don't want to dig another grave.", or "It takes every piece away"!)

Centross: Wouldn't be a Centross piece without a nod to the end! A note that this piece will be of Violet! I want to display each character sort of in their "final form", whatever that may be. I want stars, the reaver, and a nod to the farming. His quote will probably be something cryptic about keeping the balance!

Wolf/Fenris: Fenris's is another that is going to be really fun! I may add a phantom mask over his face, as well as the moon above or behind his head. I want him in a fancy outfit- probably the one Malitae gave him, or the Festival of light one. There will be stars for Rae, and maybe wheat for Centross? Not sure of a quote yet!

Arisanna: Gotta have allays. But also pillager references! The border will probs have arrows within it! She'll also have some sort of book reference, whether that be the background or her holding one!

Icarus: Wings and potions and wack. Icarus's will be colorful, feathery, and otherwise I'm not entirely sure! I want a crown, so icarus's matches the rest of prince trio's. I also want to highlight their eyes! Otherwise, I think help from y'all and also the finale will help. Quote might be "Oh, we're doing this again?" but I am very very very open to suggestions

Haley: Haley's is going to be eerie- probably a reference to how she died, but also I want something puppet-y about her! not sure what else, and for the quote all i got is "this wasn't how it was supposed to go"

Ulysses: formerly evil fish man WOOO! Gotta have references to medical stuff, possibly have Victor in there, telchin stuff, and alcohol. Ulysses is trying to make amends, to fix the wrongs, to improve. I don't know how I can convey the layers of that well, like I can with Ocie's grief. Honestly, the quote might be the best way to do that! ("I'm sorry", or "I didn't mean for this to happen", maybe?)

I won't be doing one for Galahad, Will, or Chaos! Galahad and Will because I don't know their characters that well, and I feel like it'd be out of place now. Chaos for infer-able reasons.

Addie may be added if I have time, motivation, and if we see addie again before the end!

Hongjoong

Acts of service

As the leader, Joong takes care of his members on both a professional and personal level. He loves taking matters into his own hands and knowing they rely on him, and he's damn good at it. When the others are going through hard times, he'll emotionally support them as best he can.

However, he also loves to sit back and be pampered for a change. Despite loving his role as leader, there's no denying how much mental energy it requires of him.

So when you clean up his work desk, bring him a coffee to work, or take off his makeup after a long day, he WILL melt in your hands.

Not needing to worry about practical things, knowing there's someone looking out for him, is what makes him feel loved.

Seonghwa

Quality time

Hwa puts tremendous effort into keeping up his appearance- both physically and emotionally. Making sure he's putting his best foot forward is extremely important to him, but is obviously not an easy task.

For Hwa, some quality down-time with you is invaluable.

Late night walks, movie nights and roadtrips.

Being in an environment where he doesn't need to watch his words, worry about how he looks, or worry about your perception of him is his personal utopia.

Yunho

Words of affirmation

Yunho is a moodmaker through and through- he has a bright personality, great sense of humor, and good people skills. Brightening the mood and making any given situation more fun is something he does both consciously and unconsciously.

He takes great pride in bringing joy to others, so when his efforts are acknowledged by you, Yunho really feels complete.

Affirming his positive qualities is the best thing you could do for Yunho- he wants to know you see him as good.

Yeosang

Physical touch

Sang is a very nonverbal guy when it comes to his emotions, love included.

I'm inclined to give him the most silent love language, which allows him to receive affection without leaving his comfort zone.

Shoulders touching sitting side by side, light kisses, fingers grazing each other under the table.

He'd look at you with sparkles dancing in his eyes, conveying more than a thousand words ever could.

San

Physical touch

On the other end of the spectrum we have San.

If Yeosang is light touches and eye contact, Sannie is tight embraces and desperate kisses.

He has no problem expressing himself with words, but feels the most secure in your embrace. No amount of PDA would scare him away, as that's when he feels your love the most.

When he's stressed, he needs that grounding touch to come back to earth.

Mingi

Receiving gifts

Don't get me wrong, Mingi isn't by any means a materialistic guy. He just loves to be pampered :)

The idea that he always has a piece of you with him, in the form of one of your gifts, would make him giggle.

He'd love any kind of gift, no matter how small- a pretty rock you found, a flower you picked on your way home, or a stickynote with a cute message left on his belongings.

Be it accessories, clothing or jewelry, he'll wear it on his person at all times. It'd be his way of silently showing you off.

Wooyoung

Acts of service

A bit controversial i know, but i have a lot to say here

Woo is a super bright guy who has no problem expressing his affection for others through words and physical touch.

Which leads to me to believe that these love languages wouldn't be AS special to him on the receiving end, because they come so naturally to him.

Hence, I believe acts of service would be the way to make him feel the most loved.

He would love to know you're thinking about him even when he's not there. To him, that's the ultimate show of affection- receiving your attention without even being there to command it.

As someone who tries his best to understand anyone he meets, you doing your best to understand him makes him feel special.

Jongho

Words of affirmation

Being quite reserved, Jongho doesn't come off as someone who needs a lot of praise, which is why he's kind of starved for it.

Except his vocals, which are rightfully praised left and right, the other parts of him are not complimented as much by those around him.

Which is why he'll melt if you tell him how handsome he looks, how much you love his smile, how he takes such good care of you.

He loves receiving praise, even if he doesn't always know how to respond.

An Ask Game for Writers to Procrastinate Working on Your WIP(s)

First of all, thank you soooo much to @monbons and @valeffelees for tagging me, I nearly had a whole breakdown over how nice this fandom is and how good it feels to be included in something like this. Yall are the sweetest, thank you <3 1. 🦈Tell us the name of your/ one of your WIP(s): Uhhhh, yall name your WIPs beforehand? I currently have two documents titled "nose ring simon" and "wing fic" and I typically title it just before I post it.

2. 🍄Describe your WIP/one of your WIP(s) in the format of “___ + ___ =___” I think you'll find this is a pretty easy formula for most, if not all, of my fics. Simon + Piercing + Baz Horny. Alternatively, Simon + Wings = Baz Horny. Sensing a theme?

3. 🌍What tags or warnings will one of your WIP(s) need if you intend to share it? Explicit tags, for sure. It'd be pretty funny to tag the wingfic as monsterfucking, so I'll probably do that, but otherwise, nothing crazy going on here. Just boys very much in love.

4. 🧭An alternative title to one of your WIP(s)? "wing fic" often affectionately gets called "how the fuck do wings work" or "goddamn motherfucking physics"

5. ⚠️Which WIP you're most likely to finish or update next? Definitely the piercing one. The wing fic isn't cohesive or coherent at this time, and it's more of a collection of scenes rather than a whole fic, anyway. I'm having a lot of fun writing the piercing one!!!

Of course it's gold. Everything about Simon is gold. His mind, his body, his soul. The color of his skin and his hair when the sun shines through it from behind. The small loop now adorning his nostril.

8. ♻️A scrapped idea for your current WIP. For wing fic, I was trying to figure out a way to make an au scene where everyone has wings, and I could do a little, like, wing caretaking session? But I couldn't find a solid enough reason for everyone to have wings, and also I realized I just didn't care enough about that scene to pursue it further.

9. 🤔What’s a story you’d love to write but haven’t even started yet? I find this question particularly difficult. I don't know that there are any stories I want to tell, right now. Usually when I want to write something, I schedule it in and I do it. Right now, there's nothing on the back-burner.

10. 🤡How many WIPS are you actively working on? Only the 2! I'm not usually one to work on multiples at a time.

11. 🛠Is there a scene or anything in the WIP you are struggling with right now? Re: "goddamn motherfucking physics," I've never been super into fantasy or a fandom that particularly liked wings, so I genuinely have no clue how these things work. I took on this project as a gift for @valeffelees after he lamented the lack of wing fics for him to devour, and while I'm not an expert, I'm certainly trying my best. But like, the anatomy??? of a wing???

Heyyyy so about that pjo/batfam au.... I love it.

I wonder if any of the bat kids are legacies or half bloods? Like, they'd be ripe for urgent adoption and training, given the inherent risk of monsters! Not to mention the specially bred deep rooted battle/hero instincts. Would only some be half bloods? Any? How would that affect the dynamics, to have some (or just B) be aware of and able to interact with this whole secret world complete with monsters hidden in plain sight?? There's got to be tons of secret pjo resource stashes like different metals, foods, weapons, armour hidden everywhere hehe.

Ooh, would a bat kid ever have accidentally eaten ambrosia/nectar (or gotten close) without knowing what it is? Is Alfred a legacy?? A satyr?!! That'd be so so cool. (and it'd be an explanation for how long lived he is lmao)

If the batkids were all legacies/half bloods, who would be who? Would there be a mix of greek/roman? Is Bruce aware of the Egyptians or Norse lot?? I'm so curioussssss

ooo okay so the batkids! i explained it like... a year ago (jeez) in this post but here's the basic rundown:

Bruce: Athena (three parents, complicated situation)

Dick: Hermes (three parents, uncomplicated situation)

Babs: mortal, clearsighted, not The Oracle but calls herself Oracle

Jason: Nemesis (still working this one out)

Cass: Shiva/Nike, raised by David Cain

Tim: Bellona/Janet (who is a legacy of zeus)

Steph: Apollo

Damian: Legacy Athena/Hades

Duke: normal ("normal") meta but everyone up to and including Apollo thinks he's Apollo's kid

There are definitely stashes of demigod resources! most of the stock is in the Batcave, but they definitely have stashes in all the safehouses. They're basically like any other resource- medical supplies, celestial bronze dagger, batarangs, smoke pellets, ambrosia, etc. Considering that celestial bronze and nectar/ambrosia are pretty rare, i doubt they're using them daily, but everyone definitely has emergency demigod equipment on them. I'm also making Gotham a Land Beyond Gods, a la Alaska in SoN, so there's less of a monster problem than other cities. Gotham kinda like the trash dump of the demigod world- all the weird fucked up stuff ends up there for our intrepid heroes to get chased by.

Most of the Batkids are aware of who they are, eventually! Bruce, Cass, and Damian always know, Dick and Jason figure it out pretty quickly after living with Bruce, Tim figures it out himself before becoming Robin, and Steph only figures it out after she "dies" (poor guy). Bruce isn't very good with the Mist, and monsters aren't like, a huge problem in Gotham, so it's not really a big deal to them if they are/aren't demigods. Babs kept up just fine as a mortal, after all. Like i said earlier, ambrosia/nectar are in short supply in Gotham (bruce doesn't really have a consistent way of getting more besides through diana, who also doesnt really have a consistent way of getting more), so nobody's eating any by accident.

I have literally no idea what's going on with Alfred. I joked a while back that he's a minor god, which I'm not opposed to, I'd just have to work that one out a bit more. The satyr idea is fun and works really well, except imagining Alfred with goat legs and eating aluminum cans freaks me out and I don't know what to do about that. He could also just be a mortal blessed by [insert god here] to have a longer lifespan, or someone who made a deal with [insert god here] to be alive as long as Bruce/the Wayne family needs him. It'll be interesting to figure out, whenever I end up doing that!

Bruce and Co. are NOT aware of the other pantheons! As in, they are so unaware of the other pantheons that nobody can figure out who the fuck Tim's godly parent is. Bellona is on nobody's radar, everyone is split between Ares/Dionysus/Athena/????. They also haven't figured out he's a Zeus legacy, because his ancestor fled to Gotham during WW2 and then did their best to hide their heritage for their and their kids' safety. Poor guy doesn't know what the fuck is going on, basically. Bruce is actually pretty cut off from CHB, so he's not super up-to-date about the demigod world. He tends to focus more on the superhero side of things. His kids have varying levels of interest/affiliation with the demigods, but they're definitely not on the "first to know" end of news whenever things happen. It takes a hot minute for anyone to figure out the Romans exist, and considering that Percy and Annabeth try pretty hard to conceal the Egyptian and presumably Norse pantheons, we can assume the Batfam isn't aware of those guys for quite a bit after the Greeks learn about them.

Songs the Ninjago Fandom is Sleeping on.

So I have like a bunch of songs and animatic ideas for the Ninjago fandom to do what they please with, cause chronic hand pain makes long projects like animatics kinda hard so instead I'm throwing them out to yall! (Song-artist)

SOPILERS FOR LITERALLY EVERYHTING RELATING TO NINJAGO (This includes Dragons rising, the spinjitzu brothers books and the Garmadon comics)

Also please remember this is for fun so be nice.

Survivors Guilt- Coma Cinema: Okay oaky so hear me out: eldest child angst. This could work for both Garmadon and Kai, because both of them are just SUCH older siblings in more than just the literal way you know? Like I think it fits especially with Garmadon because it's about feeling like you're a bad person and how it might fuck up someone else life in the process. To me I think it fits, cause like to me it's so clear Garmadon is the elder sibling TM and Wu is the stressed out younger sibling golden child. Lyrics: "And I don't care and I don't know why maybe I'm no good inside" the way this totally works for how Garmadon tries to act like he doesn't care in Spinjitzu Brothers but is like constantly stressed about whether or not he's a good person.

Seven Nation Army- The White Stripes: I don't have like any major reasons for this song other than it being SUPER Wyldfyre/Kai core lol (at least in the early seasons before he mellowed out a bit), like the song is literally someone sing about how they feel like how they could take on armies if necessary so take that as you will!

Viper- Derivakat: For starters I didn't know this was a Minecraft song until I went to look up the lyrics buuuuuuut oh well mine now! Could definitely be used for either the Great Devourer or the Serpentine, but I think it be cool if someone used the song for the Great Devourer and the venoms effect on Garmadon and how it really kinda fucked up his life. I think it'd just be neat. Lyrics: "Run, run, run as fast as you can out of the fire and into my hand" (Could def be used for Garmadon and the Great Devourer or Pythor and Lloyd) "Abandon your pride cause you've dug your own grave" and "Getting all up in your head make you lose your mind again" (Again would work pretty great for Garmadon or season one Lloyd and Pythor)

The Well- The Crane Wives: Now this song is perfect for season 6 Jay in my opinion since it's got some wish related lyrics which work well for the Nadakan plot, plus people getting "dragged down" could be the other ninja getting absorbed into the sword. I'm not to big on this season or Jay but even I can tell this song works WELL for him (get it well? I'll see myself out). Lyrics: "Like spare coins, poised on the tip of my tongue I make a wish and hold my breath" This could not only be the making wishes part but also Jay getting "spare coins" aka his bio fathers money and house after he dies, "I'm the well they're gonna drag you down" again this could be used for the ninja being dragged into the sword "All the words I couldn't say to you" His pinning over Nya obviously. And lastly "I taste blood I'm sick of swallowing stones" Could be his trauma after Nadakan is defeated or when he was beat up in the fight thing.

Viva La Vida (But epic)- Reinaeiry (I just like this version best but any works): Could totally work for Lloyd post merge, him being lonely in this new world and forced to be a hero in the shadows. Y'all could also probably do something with the FSM but like I'm not exactly sure what. This one's a little more for the vibes tbh.

Parasite- Set It Off: When I tell yall this is great for Harumi and Lloyd, like it'd work so well as a song for her trying to manipulate and twist his mind. The name says it all it's literally telling someone they'd wished they'd never been born and that they don't help society, sound like anyone familiar? Also if y'all just want a song for like a villain arch for Lloyd this would also probably work tbh. Lyrics: "Leeching off my pain never satisfied" Totally could work for Harumi being mean and manipulative or Lloyd getting angry and being honest with her. "Strike a nerve or wreck a home hoping you get a response" This could totally be used literally cause of Harumi's whole... you know dead parent situation.

Matilda- Harry Styles: I know I know what you're saying, Harry Styles? But I promise this song is actually wonderful. This could work RIDICOULOUSLY well for Sora. The song is a lot about how you can go on to live a life and you don't have to include your bioparents or family in it if you don't want to which is SO Sora. Like I feel like all the lyrics work well for how Imperium and her parents drained her and I just love it! Then second you could also view this as kind of a Cole song. I know the fandom is kind of split on whether or not him and his father really make up and I'm gonna be honest I don't really think they do. Unlike Jay, Zane, Lloyd as well as Kai and Nya to an extent (once they get their parents back) all at least interact with their parents and clearly have somewhat of a relationship with them (Kai and Nya less so but they have the excuse of being adults by the time they get their parents back). Cole on the other hand doesn't really have the same thing, like he has the episode where he makes up with his father but after that Lou doesn't really have many other major appearances so I think they're on good terms but not that close ya know? Summary: You've always been the quiet type and when the girls in your class exclude you, the only one, from something, it takes another quiet kid to make you feel better.

Class 1A didn't know what it was about their classmate, but something about you scared them. Perhaps it was the way you seemed to excel at almost everything and they were just intimidated? Or maybe it was the fact that every single time someone would approach you and you'd look up at them, they'd immediately feel unwelcomed and would walk away.

Hell, you didn't even know what it was about you. Must be my resting face, you would think to yourself, maybe I should work on that.

Throughout your entire life, friends, family, teachers, and pretty much every single person you'd ever met, would feel the need to tell you how much of a quiet person you are. As if you didn't already know.

It's not that you were an introvert, you were a bit of both an extrovert and introvert. It's just that you never really had anything to say. Why must people take that the wrong way?

You sat on one of the common room couches, a book in your hands as you read silently to yourself. The other girls were in the room as well, talking about going shopping.

"I think it'd be a lot of fun! We should go this Sunday!" Ochaco exclaimed.

"We should! Then we could go out to eat afterwards," Toru spoke up.

You hated that sinking loneliness feeling you felt inside of you as you listened to them talk. There were only 7 girls in the class, including yourself. And of course, you were the only one being left out.

You tried not to get too upset as you reminded yourself that you're the only one to blame. If you wanted to go shopping with the girls, you would've been more outgoing.

Sighing, you closed your book and stood up. You'd read the rest of it in the comforts of your bedroom.

You didn't even notice the red and white haired boy walking into the room until you bumped into him. "Ah, my bad, Todoroki," You spoke, your tone holding nothing but kindness. Something people failed to notice the rare times you did speak.

"I wasn't paying attention either, I'm sorry," Todoroki spoke in the same tone he spoke to everyone with. You did pick up on the tiniest bit of softness it had to it this time, however.

You smiled up at him, but he frowned which made you frown. "Wha..? I-Is something wrong?" You stuttered, suddenly feeling nervous that he, just like the rest of your class, was afraid of you. Stop, Y/n, he's your friend.

"Did I hurt you when I bumped into you? You're crying," He responded, concern evident in his heterochromic eyes.

You blinked, confusion evident in your own eyes, until you in fact felt a couple tears hit your warm cheeks. You quickly wiped them away and shook your head.

"No, no. I promise I'm okay, it's just a little dusty in here, isn't it? Yeah, it must be Bakugou's turn to dust if it's this dusty," You laughed nervously, remembering why you were sad to begin with. You didn't think you were that sad, though.

Todoroki squinted his eyes at you, but didn't say anything else. You coughed awkwardly. "Uh, well, I should get going, but, uh, good talk," You cringed at how terrible you were at conversations.

You didn't allow the poor boy another chance to speak before you ran off to your room. When you got inside, you immediately slammed the door shut and leaned back against it, hands pressed against your face in embarrassment. "Of course it had to be Todoroki I bumped into," You muttered. After all, he was probably the only one you were somewhat good friends with. He

Groaning in frustration, you collapsed onto your bed, unfortunately allowing your mind to wander back to the girls not inviting you to hang out. You hated that loneliness feeling and yet, it was the only feeling you felt most of the time.

Meanwhile, Todoroki walked towards the couch where a few of the boys were sitting, the girls still sat in their circle on the floor.

"Hey, Todoroki. How's it going?" Momo smiled at the boy. He turned his attention to her and the other girls that were now looking in his direction.

"Hey, Yaoyorozu. Pretty good, how about you?" He cringed at his words. He was never good at small talk.

"Pretty good, the girls and I are just talking about our weekend plans," She answered. Mina wrapped her arms around Momo and smiled. "It's going to be awesome!" She yelled, excitedly.

Todoroki thought back to you. He knew that while you were very quiet, you were also very nice, but you still had trouble making friends other than him. But he had hope that these girls saw you the way he did, and he had hope that they didn't make plans to hang out together, without inviting you, right in front of you.

"That sounds like fun. Is L/n going as well?" He asked, feeling nervous, suddenly.

The girls all awkwardly glanced at each other. "Uh, well, no. We don't really know her all that well, she's so quiet, you know?" Momo answered, reluctantly.

Todoroki sighed and leaned his head against his hand. Was that why she was crying? He thought.

"Not to mention, whenever we try, she always looks so angry. Angrier than Bakugou, and that says a lot," Kyoka spoke up. The girls slowly nodded in agreement. "Maybe if she wasn't so mean..," Ochaco added, which made Todoroki clench his fists.

"I know she's quiet, but angry? Mean? She's barely said 10 words to anyone since we all started the school year. How would any of you know? I know it's no one's responsibility to make her talk, but if you made the effort to walk up to her and start a conversation before you decided she's angry and mean based off the way you think she looks, then maybe you'd see what a great person she is," Todoroki angrily ranted.

The girls and everyone in the common room, actually, stared at him in shock. Hell, he himself was shocked. He looked around before standing up and walking out of the room, everyone completely silent.

You were absentmindedly playing with a page of your book, not really paying attention anymore, when someone knocked on your door. Standing up, you opened it to see Todoroki. You could feel your face heat up as you two stared at each other.

"Hi? Are you okay?" You asked, confused as to why he looked so frustrated.

"Do you want to do something on Sunday?" He ignored your question, asking you one of his own.

Shocked, your eyes widened and your lips parted. "Uh, I..," You stuttered, looking him in the eyes. He patiently awaited your response, so you nodded. "Yes. I'd love to," You answered.

He nodded back. "Great," He said, looking like he was about to walk away, only to turn back and quickly pull you into a hug. You gasped and stood there for a moment, shocked that Shoto Todoroki was hugging you. Shaking that thought away, you hugged back.

"I'm sorry," He whispered against your hair. Somehow, you knew what he was talking about, and you felt more tears sting your eyes. Gripping his shirt tightly, you allowed yourself to breakdown in his arms. And you know what, he held you together.

So, you stood there. Time stopped, and it was just you two in each other's arms, living in the moment.

"Thank you, Shoto," You tearfully whispered.

"I've got you, Y/n."

A/n: I hope you enjoyed this one, it felt a little all over the place to me but overall I'm proud of it. Second person isn't my forte, but I hope to improve that. Keep sending in requests :)

I wanna hear more about ur merturtle au pls. I think it's pretty neat and u have very squishy designs. Also is it okay to write fanfic of ur au? It wouldn't be much and it'll be my first time writing but I have a tentative idea.

OH!! Ofc u can use the designs // idea with credit ^^ If u ever write something, defo mention it to me on here so I can read it >:) The overall thing was originally just going to be fun ideas, and nothing major. Overall, basically everything is the same from the original, other than a few quirks and designs the turtles have. Leo would always make a snarky comment about how he'd have "The voice of a siren." Which ofc, Donnie would always correct. He's the fastest swimmer of the group, and is the one that usually dominates fighting fields. Ofc- only if he uses his brain, which he kinda needs to work on. Donnie on the other hand, had to figure out how to comfortably live his life out of the water, and be able to be happy with it. He's made a few adjustments, probably like keeping water in his battle shell and having a regular schedule to keep himself from not being too agitated. In this version ofc, he's made all of his equipment waterproof! Including Shelldon ofc!! Raph, as a thresher shark, I'd imagine his fighting style would change a bit. Ofc he'd still be the absolute tank, but I like to imagine he'd manage to kinda use his tail to his advantage. Like Splinter, he uses his tail as a weapon and can stun enemies And as the Raph fan I am, thought that maybe it'd be cool to explore a small idea: Raph's always been paranoid of his smile, of being too rough, of being too scary, etc. I want him to both understand his struggles and realize that those he really cares about just want to see the true him, and not a hand covering his sharp smile. Aka, some free angst I could mess around with ;) Mikey... i actually don't have a lot for him? He'd be a force of keeping the family together, kinda like in the cannon. He'd have the most colorful fighting style, especially when u add water to the mix! He'd be the one to make Raph realize how wrong he was about himself, he'd be the one to help Donnie with his designs, and he'd help Leo realize that a lot of the stuff that's happened to them wasn't his fault. Also, part of me would find it funny if HE was the one who had some sort of 'siren' 'mermaid' powers. Or this could just be me watching too much avatar and the last airbender- but i think it'd be funny if he could manipulate water, and have all that cool mermaid powers!! Just an idea tho ^^ NOW UH- sorry if that's a lot to read, so have this lil comic WIP. I probably won't finish it knowing me- it is my birthday after all, but I'm glad people are taking interest in my little au :]

I've looked up different people's takes on what Deku's Quirk would be if he had a natural one. One idea I frequently come across is Heat Absorption (which combines Hisashi's fire quirk with Inko's attraction quirk). However, what if this idea was taken further? What if Deku could take the heat energy he absorbed and use it to enhance his physical abilities (like Sunspot from the X-Men comics)?

Hi Wiz! Dollar-store-quirks here, with the shadow of an idea! (I have been so drained of ideas, you don't even know). I saw a ask about Izuku inheriting a possible Fire Breath x Attraction of Small Objects Quirk and I'd like to add my two cents! as in, I have two other takes on the concept.

My first concept is a little less directly related to his parents. I'm calling it Will-o-Wisp, and it leans a little more into the psychic nature of his mother's quirk. It might work where Izuku can breath out ghostly incorporeal "fire" which he can control - that's both telekinesis and fire breath! Only when this incorporeal fire makes contact with a physical object will it turn into real fire, which he might not be able to control. There might be a maximum limit of how much ghostly fire he can control, and he might unlock the power to choose when his ghostly fire becomes physical, or some way to control his fires after they become physical (say, if some amount of ghostly fire stayed incorporeal and that allowed him to influence the physical fire).

Second, I think there's potential in a very direct mix. Let's call it Attraction of Fire. This would function by allowing Deku to draw in and control fires near him, possibly extending the length of its fuel or managing its temperature. This would depend on fire from outside sources, still leaving Deku in an underdog position for narrative reasons and requiring a lot of inventiveness to make it feasible. Fire might still burn him, giving him the same self-destructive nature as in canon. And it'd give him plenty of need for support equipment and collaboration with other heroes, which is also meaningful for story reasons. These are mostly narrative reasons why I think this is compelling quirk, but aren't those the best reasons? If someone wrote an AU with another student gaining One for All, I think this kind of quirk would allow Izuku to remain in the story in roughly the same position in Class A, power-wise.

Wow, @dollar-store-quirks. Now there's a name I haven't seen in a while. Hope you're doing okay. And here's the post for any of you that are curious about it.

I'm not sure if any of these are in the cards for Izuku, at least in their entirety. I too have discussed absorbing heat for Izuku's power, but why would it enhance his body? Nothing about either parent Quirk implies that would be possible. Shooting the fire back out makes more sense because that's in line with what the father does. Izuku breathing out fire that he controls makes some sense, but having it turn intangible is such a deviation that I struggle to imagine it fitting as a power. And honestly, I don't even think he'd be able to even come close to the canon story line with that kind of power. On that note, you're final idea does have some merit. I do think attracting fires makes sense for Izuku. Heck, it's even what based his Quirk Marriage around. The thing is though that attracting fires is such a specific power that I struggle to think of anything that interesting you can do with it, let alone have it be include amongst the Heroics Course. It's good for a firefighter and that's it. There's making a character an underdog and making his power barely useful. It's why I felt the need to be as liberal as possible with Izuku's potential powers. Something that'd fit the parent Quirks, yet still make standout abilities in their own right.

↪the only two ways i could see him getting into a relationship is either by pure chance of meeting you as a regular civilian or a more unlikely way, you as a co-worker of tsujimura and beibg assigned to watch over him. but personally would prefer having a civilian lover. it brings a sense of normality for him to indulge in despite everything else going on in his life.

↪that being said, actually getting into a relationship with him would be rare. even if he so desperately was in live with you would be so reluctant as he wouldn't want to risk getting you caught up in his problems that wouldn't end pretty. you would have to tell him you really were okay with it and wanted to be in this relationship with him. eventually he would let it happen.

↪you most likely would have to understand that if you were in any threat, being caught in the crossfire, you would not see him for a while. he wouldn't necessarily break it off but would ignore you until it had subsided. and yes he totally would hide it. not only for your safety but because it would distance it from his normal life style. when he's doing his time as a detective, he keeps that to only that, and the minute he's let of he can go to you and indulge in a normal, calm and peace life with you.

↪even though he had to be under constant watch, his work as a detective for them made them reluctantly give him anytime off as a surveillance free time. meaning he could freely be with you.

↪going out would be not very often. mainly spending time together under the santicity of your residence or his. but maybe you could convince him to go out and have fun. showing him all your favourite spots or places to go which quickly become his favourite. but would absolutely love having the time with you where he wholly believed that he could eventually live a normal life with you. he'd be dammed if he ruined your life because of his previous life style.

↪however if you were a co-worker of his. it gave your relationship a more exciting quality to it. wouldn't engage in showing that relationship on the job however, he still would prefer to keep it secret. but just the idea that a simple slip up at work could expose the both of you gave it a slightly different edge to it.

↪he would understand that as detectives you both received a fair share of threats but would absolutely want to avoid you getting involved with his affairs. he wouldn't want you being used against him at all, in either scenario, let alone you being sent death threats from his problems.

↪in either scenario, i think the best way for it to remain hidden is to always keep the relationship for when he isn't under watch and at home safe, with you. even if it proved difficult to do, you both would try your hardest to keep it secret.

↪as i said would want to normally just stay within yours or his residence when together but that's notvall that exciting so if you two did go out he would be on guard until he was absolutely certain that it was safe, then he would thoroughly enjoy himself with you.

↪ however being home with him came with it's own perks, helping each other make dinner, him showing you his favourite dolls, you showing him your hobbies/intrests and staying cuddled up in each others embrace talking about whatever came to mind. it was hard work to try and keep it secret, he wished he didn't have to but for your safety he would. he would do anything to keep the love of his life safe and that even meant he wasn't above using his ability or influence to dispose of problems.

*raises hand* i have no idea what Hell Creak is. tell me more

Hell Creek is a fossil-heavy rock formation located in Montana and North Dakota! It's one of the most complete fossil sites we have of the Mezosoic (along with other standouts like the Morrison and Kem-Kem). Hell Creek gets a few extra cool points for a handful of reasons:

It has a whole host of big name dinosaurs: T.rex, Triceratops, Ankylosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus, Edmontosaurus, and even a large raptor that's a real-life Jurassic Park 'Raptors' (the book and film used oversized Deinonychus, but Dakotaraptor is actually of comparable size. Potentially. I love the species and what it'd mean for the ecosystem, but I don't trust DePalma as far as I can throw him. He accidentally included turtle remains in the holotype, which... come on, man). Another cool big name potentially associated with the formation, but not a dinosaur, is a large Mosasaur species (think a giant marine monitor lizard) that was recently found to exist off the coast, as well as the (potentially) largest creature to ever fly, Quetzalcoatlus (I have no way to describe this, search it up, it's terrifying and weird).

Actually? No. You deserve to see what a Quetz would look like.

Hell Creek's fossils were deposited at the very tail end of the reign of dinosaurs, so you get a look at their last glory days + a good handful of million years prior. Actually, the boundary layer - the actual moment the apocalypse became real and quartz was shocked by the Chixclub impact - is present! There's another site that seems to contain the actual aftermath, with molten glass raining into the mud and debris of animals caught in tsunamis thrown together (though some elements of the site are debated, because DePalma is sketchy as hell and reported different findings to the media vs his publications).

We have SO much information about it! Remains of everything from megafauna and their interactions - herbivores that have healed bitemarks from T.rex, facial bitemarks between T.rexes - to the minute. Pollen and seeds from a host of plants; insects trapped in amber; tiny amphibians, and sharks. The list of species on the Wikipedia articles are absolutely insane - it's so complex and detailed.

There's also a video game in slow, slow development depicting this formation, Saurian - last I heard it's grinded to almost a standstill, and IIRC there is ~tea~ in the paleo community about it, but it was fun following the development for a few years. The concept art is also gorgeous, and you really get a feel for just how much material they have to work with to make this as accurate as possible!

TLDR, Hell Creek is fascinating - though there are plenty of other cool formations worth poking at, too! The Kem Kem Group, Dinosaur Park, Candeleros, Morrison, Jiufotang and Nemegt Formations are all favorites <3
