#brot posts #both my psychiatrist and therapist have been like hey. your depression gets worse in the winter time #and only now today am i like. damn. yeah #now that im on zoloft im not like depressed per say #but holy mother of god i am so tired. so tired #emotionally and physically #i used to think i always got fucked in the head during september-february because of like school and chronic sleep deprivation #but now that im regularly getting 7+ hours of sleep every night AND not in school anymore #i must say. theres no other explanation now #like i literally keep falling asleep everywhere i can get 9 hours a night and still fall asleep as soon as i lay down #no motivation just sleep #waking up in the morning is so fucking hard #and im kinda back into that ‘i dont feel any emotions’ stage of mental illness #but like hey !!! i said this last year when i hit rock bottom #being numb and not having any emotions whatsoever IS VASTLY PREFERABLE to being in a constant everpresent state of suicidal misery #so like emotionally im just chilling. im just sitting here. me being numb and unfeeling is actually a net positive all things considered #but physically. by god. im so sluggish and so so tired and sleeping does not help at all

shiv's motivations for voting to pass the gojo deal are so layered and i don't think they should be dismissed in favour of any one interpretation. shiv desperately grabbed on to a lifeline for her relationship with tom. shiv was the deciding vote and she couldn't bear to hold the crown only for a moment just to place it atop her brother's head. shiv knew she would have more influence as wife of CEO rather than sister of CEO. shiv absolutely hated seeing kendall crystallize into logan before her eyes, especially when he made roman bleed ("and if we did kill him we get to go to bed") -- succession has always been about siblings so of course she tried to free her brothers before her child. shiv still thinks she can raise her child with all the material benefits of being the daughter of waystar CEO while doing better by her, whatever that means. and all of those things are true

Another character made almost spur in the moment again (like Mari) though thankfully not another bUG, but just some average human smhh. He’s a really simple guy, a loser, is as interesting as normal milk— he’s just the ye ol milkman who delivers you that gud shid smhh— enjoyer of the finer things in life (lunchables). A lil flirty and charming (in possibly the cringiest way possible) however he doesn’t really seem to pick up anyone besides the local cows that constantly harass him (and eats his pants). He enjoys watching them though, from v e r y m u c h afar——

Also Betsy- a very sweet woman! She always greets everyone and has the friendliest extroverted personality ever! Always the type to bring (albeit tiny) gifts for her favorite neighbors and always leads when talking to anyone. Not like she would allow Zach to say anything anyway, she hates his polyester guts (and only him smhh)

I saw my thesis supervisor yesterday and I'm starting lab work next week!! I'm equal parts nervous and excited haha. I hope everything goes well.

Today in ochem I did distillation and extraction. People used to tell me ochem lab can be really boring bc there's a lot of waiting - I wish! In my case, "waiting" just means doing something else. 4h of walking around the lab and standing at the fume hood :')))) Sitting down for literally like five minutes to estimate the melting point of my sample turned into a blessing
