Hi! I'd love to learn more about Charlie 😊 I've seen you mention that he was an employee of Burns' - what happened to him for him to become a hybrid? I'm also really interested to know how that affected his personality, and his outlook on things, and whether the way people interact with him has changed since. And has he always lived in Springfield? Apologies if that's too many questions (I really love learning about people's OCs 😊)!
You’ve presented me with an opportunity to go into the lore of my OC and now you have NO ESCAPE. WATCH OUT THIS IS GONNA BE LONG.
Tumblr media
Charlie has always lived in Springfield, most likely, and is the result of wealthy parents having absolutely no interest in their own child beyond using him as a bargaining chip, attempting to marry him off to another marginally wealthy family so that they can combine wealth and continue to be rich bitches. He was arranged to marry the daughter of the other family, but unfortunately, he’s primarily gay (he has some women exceptions to the rule, but they’re few and far in between). So an arranged marriage would’ve been miserable and terrible. In an attempt to prepare himself for married life, he has a one-night stand with a woman named Carla who accidentally births a little boy, affectionately named Connor.
Tumblr media
Charlie wants to be present for the boy, but urges Carla to keep his parenthood a secret. Their general incompatibility, Charlie’s pre-arranged commitment, and Carla’s eventual disgust for Charlie’s homosexual tendencies keep her from allowing Charlie to truly act as a parent, though she doesn’t waste time in dropping the child off for days at a time for him to look after. Connor grows up knowing his father, but he isn’t very empowered by his mother. As a result, Connor is a bit of a fearful and quiet kid and both Charlie and Carla are at odds. Charlie considered fighting for custody, but did not, for fear that it would throw his whole arranged marriage deal into chaos. Connor remained a secret from Charlie’s parents throughout his childhood.
He got a job at the plant in his thirties so he could at least attempt to learn some sort of independence before being married off (and perhaps learn how to be a provider for Connor without relying on his own parents’ wealth), but with a penchant for numbers, he just ended up being another pencil pushing accountant. Faced with depression, lack of guidance in his own life, his inability to see his son on the regular, and being enormously closeted, he sort of just lived day by day. (Of course, there were some experiments, like his VERY brief one night stand with a particular lawyer, but that ended in a bitter, catty rivalry that carries on to the day.)
Anyway, my guess is that Burns had it in mind to use some of the plant workers as an attempt to harness the radioactivity that just kind of FLOATS around there to combine animal DNA with human DNA and create super-workers that would be much more efficient and trainable, but would complain less about health benefits. Charlie was just the unlucky first pick for guinea pig. He disappeared at the plant for several weeks while his genetic code got all sorts of messed up and only escaped with the help of the other idiot plant workers that didn’t do their due diligence at locking up the section of the plant that Burns had him tucked away in. But now he looked like a horrible mutant - in his opinion - and he holed up in somewhere in the woods until nightfall.
Tumblr media
Once night came around - it was raining too, which didn’t help - he made a break for it to try and hide out somewhere in the town. Unfortunately, a certain reverend decided to accidentally plow into Charlie with his car and had to drag him home to his basement because 1) he couldn’t tell the cops that he’d just killed someone, if Charlie ended up dead 2) this thing isn’t human. When Charlie eventually came to in Lovejoy’s basement, he decided that this was the opportunity he had to live a new life. Be someone entirely different (though why he didn’t change his name is his own particular brand of stupidity, but luckily, Burns’ little pet project was soon forgotten by the man himself and Smithers is reluctant to give Charlie away because he’s not that invested).
So he let his hair grow, let himself be more open about his sexuality, and took up smoking and drinking (and a number of drugs to cope with the trauma of having your entire body changed without your consent), and now is the over-the-top, sometimes wildly inappropriate gay lizard you now see today, though he still does his best for his son, whose mother is only marginally aware of anything that happens in town. His parents were told that he had died in a tragic accident and seem to be just fine with that. They’ve not made any attempts to find him themselves and his previously arranged fiance found another man to wed.
Tumblr media
BUT HIS NEW LIFE IS STILL NOT WITHOUT ITS STRUGGLES. He falls in love with the stupid sardonic nature of Reverend Lovejoy and constantly works to undermine the man’s religion (though he’s marginally careful about boundaries, i.e.: he would never disparage Helen, nor would he take it upon himself to sabotage their marriage), but he’s relatively unsuccessful. He falls deeper and deeper, further complicating things when he dons a hokey Halloween costume so he can go out and live a life free of persecution because of his non-human nature. He takes on the role of a new-age plague doctor (despite knowing next to nothing about medicine), and gets a job at Springfield Elementary as the school nurse (despite not having any credentials, but who does).
Tumblr media
He regularly attends church - just for the sake of being present in town - and finds an enemy in Ned Flanders who takes up far too much of Lovejoy’s time for Charlie’s envious nature to be satisfied with - and bounces wildly between pining for a man he can’t have and trying to keep himself from constantly throwing hands with Flanders (who has a suspicion that Charlie is some kind of demon presence put on Earth to turn the reverend away from God, which incidentally, might not be that inaccurate).
Most people in Springfield never knew his name before, and thus don’t make the connection between who he is now and who he was before, but he is careful with divulging too much personal information to anyone. Despite that, he regularly explores intimacy with other men because of his desire to be appreciated, loved, and doted on (which he is most certainly not getting from Lovejoy), including several nights spent with Smithers who becomes a bit of a confidante. On that note, while he does his best to maintain his secret, there are a number of people who know that he is not human, including Marge (a mother-figure to him, despite them being the same age, but she gives him good advice), Lisa (because she isn’t dumb), Superintendent Chalmers and Principal Skinner (both involved in some shenanigans that need a lot more context to get into lmaoo), and eventually, Sam the barfly.
Tumblr media
As he is now, Charlie is constantly looking for some kind of reassurance in the form of affection, but is increasingly frustrated by Lovejoy’s insistence that there is nothing between them, despite evidence to the contrary and heavily influenced by the man’s (and his own internalized) apparent homophobia. (I made an animatic with them several weeks ago and it very much embodies their dynamic.) He buries himself in drinking and drugs to chase away his feeling of inadequacy and his fears of being a good parent, as well as his realization that his parents never truly cared, how he is slated to be relatively alone for the rest of his life, and the fear that he will never be normal again. But he combats this deep depression with his over-the-top personality, at times, and his smarmy, self-absorbed facade of confidence that would shatter if anyone poked a little too hard at it.
AND THAT’S WHERE HE IS NOW.

Episode 6–The Sinking Story; Scene 1
Judgment of Corruption, pages 172-181
Yo, long time no see!
…Yes. It has been quite a long time.
Because over fourteen years have passed since then.
.
Gallerian was doing alright.
He had finally managed to reach the top.
This was the birth of USE Dark Star Bureau Director Gallerian Marlon.
.
At the same time as he was inaugurated into the position, he announced the formation of a new special organization within the bureau.
Given the antagonistic relationship that they’d had with the world police that was a concern before, and the people’s dissatisfaction with them—
This organization was created as a result of that.
Its name was “Police Neutrality”—meaning a neutral police force, in essence. It was a name loaded with cynicism towards the World Police. It went by “PN” for short.
The position of its leader was taken by a commissioned officer of the USE allied forces.
Shiro Netsuma…The white-haired woman who had once shot Gallerian, and delivered the killing blow to Loki. She had not retired from her role in the USE united army, and held her post there concurrently with her position as PN’s leader.
Only, Shiro had the weakness of being poor in normal communication. In order to combat this, Hel Jaakko was appointed her vice-commander, as someone who could be well-versed in the internal state of affairs within the Dark Star Bureau.
Part of the Yarera Zusco Conglomerate’s private army was dispatched to make up PN’s forces. They already had a strong relationship with Gallerian, and on top of that had no connection to the World Police at all.
Leading these forces was Feng Li. Having worked for a long time as Gusuma Yarera’s bodyguard, he was not one to be treated like a simple tiger. He was a fine human being, and had a great deal of respect among his unit as their commander.
.
The fact remained that the Freezis Conglomerate was a massively powerful trade organization, but its power had begun to weaken compared to how it had once been.
A war had started in the Republic of Maistia over liberation of its slaves—and thanks to that, the conglomerate had lost their footing in the continent.
One could argue that, now, the position of top organization in the Evillious region had shifted from the Freezises to the Yarera Zusco Conglomerate.
.
Contrary to the enrichment of Gallerian’s professional self, his private life wasn’t especially satisfactory for him.
He made sure that no one could tell from the surface, but his marriage with Mira had completely fallen apart. They hardly ever talked in the house anymore. They had added three more servants to their staff outside of Bruno, and Gallerian’s estate was fairly bustling, but with Gallerian and Mira there was always a cold atmosphere between them.
Gallerian devoted all of that affection to his one daughter, Michelle. It was a level of doting that exceeded words like “spoiling” and “over-fond parent”, to where even Bruno would be amazed at times.
At sixteen years old, Michelle had grown into a beautiful girl, with the same pretty green hair as her mother and the graceful features of her father.
There were times when one of Bruno’s fellow servants, Rennert, would idly grumble, “I shudder to think about what’ll happen when she gets a boyfriend.”
That was because Gallerian was liable to go half-mad no matter what kind of man it was.
Michelle herself always seemed to be worrying about the poor relationship between her parents, but she never let those feelings come forth publicly. For she knew that could be scandalous to her father as the director of the Dark Star Bureau. She was a kind, intelligent girl. And she was slated to enroll in Levin University that upcoming spring.
.
The doorbell rang through Gallerian’s home.
“Just a secooond,” replied Larisa, one of Gallerian’s servants.
But at that moment she was in the middle of roasting a Rollam bird in the oven, so she couldn’t leave to answer the door.
“Could someone get that for me! Katerina! …Wait, I think she’s out shopping. Rennert! Bruno!”
But she received no reply from the other two servants who should have been in the house.
“Good grief. Those men are as unthoughtful as always.”
Just as Larisa was growing more flummoxed, Michelle appeared, cheery as can be.
“I’ll go get the door for you, Larisa.”
“Miss Michelle! …No, it would be a disgrace for a servant to make the young woman of the house do such a thing. Just get Rennert or Bruno to—”
“They both seem busy--Rennert is trimming the grass in the back garden and Bruno is helping Papa with his work in the study—Don’t worry, you just focus on cooking the Rollam bird, ha ha.”
“Thank you kindly, young miss. Well then, with my apologies, I leave it to you.”
The doorbell rang again.
“Got it, I’m coming!”
Michelle lifted up the ends of her skirt and delightedly ran to the foyer.
When she opened the door, she saw a tall, thin man standing there next to a white-haired woman. Both of them were wearing USE army uniforms.
“Hey, Uncle Tony! And you have Miss Shiro with you.”
“My my, as precious as ever, little Michelle.”
Gallerian’s friend Tony Ausdin smiled as he greeted her.
Shiro Netsuma silently bobbed her head, a shy smile on her face.
“Is Gallerian in?”
“Papa’s with Bruno in the study right now…Papa! Uncle Tony and Miss Shiro are here!” Michelle yelled, racing further down the hall.
Tony gave a sarcastic laugh as he watched her go. “…She’s healthy, that one!” Then he glanced over at Shiro, standing beside him. “—You could stand to be a little bit more like that.”
“Um…Uh…Sorry.”
“…Well, whatever.”
The two of them stepped inside and headed for the study.
.
After managing to graduate without much trouble from university, Tony Ausdin enlisted into the USE allied forces as planned.
Though at first he had merely seemed a poor student, he had come to show more alert, active behavior, as though having awakened since gaining some experience in small-scale warfare.
He had offered up great military gains such as in the suppression war against the Asmodean guerillas and in the sixteenth search and destroy operation against the dead soldiers, and was soundly promoted through the ranks as a result of that—
Currently, he had somehow managed to achieve the rank of major general in the USE army.
“That you could achieve such distinction despite your youth…Frankly I could never have imagined it when we were students,” Gallerian said in honest praise of Tony.
“Hey now. Didn’t you say that I was a ‘future general’ and all that nonsense? Was that a lie?”
“Did I? …I must have been trying to spare your feelings back then or something.”
“Ha ha ha—Well, we’ve both moved up in the world, Mister Dark Star Bureau Director.”
Gallerian and Tony had seen each other frequently over the past few years.
There was the fact that they were childhood friends. But more than that--there was a great deal of meaning in a companionship between two people who stood at the core of two components so essential to the USE as law and military. The foundation of PN by Gallerian likely wouldn’t have been possible without Tony’s cooperation.
“By the by…What business do you have here today that Shiro would bring you along for?” Gallerian asked Tony, getting down to business.
“Ah, well there is an issue. We have a favor to ask of you. And given Shiro’s personality she’s not liable to get to the point.”
“…?”
“—It’s ‘Ma’. I…or rather, the USE allied forces, requires her aid now.”
“…”
Upon hearing that name Gallerian’s expression clouded, as well as Bruno’s beside him.
“Ma, huh…As I remember she was a collaborator of mine. Not just me, but for Bruno and Shiro here as well. But nowadays I have no idea where she is or what she’s doing. One day she just up and disappeared. Around the same time as Hanma Baldured went missing.”
Gallerian looked to Shiro. She shook her head, as though to say that she didn’t know either.
“Bruno…What about you? Do you know anything of her whereabouts?”
“No—It’s been fourteen years since she vanished. During that time I have not heard so much as a rumor of her. I don’t even know if she’s still alive…” Bruno replied somewhat uncomfortably.
He had not told Gallerian that he was the one to drive Ma away.
“Sigh…So even you don’t know…”
Tony’s shoulders drooped in disappointment.
“Tony. Why are the USE allied forces searching for Ma?”
“…It’s the ‘dead soldiers’.”
“You mean those corpses that have risen from their graves to attack people. That’s one of the more dangerous occurrences amidst all the changes in the world.”
“They’ve been carrying on their activity for a while now, and each time the army has suppressed them. …But they aren’t decreasing in number. After all is said and done, they were originally human corpses. And as long as humans aren’t immortal, as long as there’s still corpses being made, then the dead soldiers will continue to increase without end.”
Hearing that, Bruno’s brow furrowed.
“You can’t mean…you intend to get the secret of immortality from Ma?”
“If she knows such a secret I would certainly want to ask her, true. But that’s not it. Though they’re called dead soldiers, their battle potential is frankly not all that impressive. Their movements are sluggish, and it’s not all that difficult to fell them just by sustained attacks—Until now.”
“So then…you’re saying that’s no longer the case?”
“We now have ‘dead soldier mutants’. These creatures have begun to appear lately that have different powers from the rest. Some are excessively strong, some are fast like a monkey—Fortunately they are few in number at present, but whenever they show up on the battlefield our casualties go up immediately.”
“That—sounds dangerous.”
“The worst of the lot is a variety that we’ve come to call the ‘Worldeater’. We’ve only seen it once, on the eastern front, but according to reports its height is estimated to be over four meters tall…There are some people saying it was larger than that. At such a height, it’s doubtful that it was ever originally a human being. This one was able to drive back the entire battalion before it could be destroyed.”
“…This sounds like something out of a fairytale.” Gallerian leaned forward with great interest. “Then—how did you repel that one?”
“We didn’t. It returned to wherever it had come from on its own. Under the persuasion of another variety of mutant that’s appeared.”
“Persuasion? But I’d always heard the dead soldiers had no intelligence.”
“That’s right. But this one is different. Its body isn’t all that big, but this dead soldier—it can speak like a person. Among the top brass there’s murmurs that this may in fact be the leader of the dead soldiers…. At any rate, thanks to the existence of these mutants the USE allied forces are stuck in a hard fight. And so we want to borrow Lady Ma’s wisdom, given she distinguished herself during the witch trial reforms.”
Gallerian folded his arms and thought.
“Hmm…It’s true that Ma has a great deal of magical knowledge. But what would she know about dead soldiers?”
“There’s documents that claim that dead soldiers appeared in the Beelzenian Empire centuries ago, around the time of the Retasan Coup. Legends says that the woman named Gumillia who opposed them was actually a sorceress.”
“And so you think Ma could have that power too…I see. That’s a very vague prospect. There was a theory long ago that the dead soldiers were being controlled by magic, but that’s been definitively disproven nowadays—by none other than Ma herself.”
“Even so, there’s still a slight possibility. As we have no other options, we have to pursue that slim chance that it can be done.”
“…Whatever the case may be, you still don’t know where she…”
At that moment, someone knocked on the door.
“Come in.”
The person who entered then was one of the servants, Katerina.
“Ah, Katerina. Have you finished shopping?”
“I have—and at the entrance I met with our mail carrier. Though they weren’t the normal person who brings it over. They gave me a letter for you, Sir.”
Katerina held out a letter for him. Gallerian took it and cut the seal with a pair of scissors.
“This is…” After looking at the contents, Gallerian’s expression turned to one of mute amazement. “Speak of the devil—what excellent timing.”
The letter was from Ma.

Running. That’s all Ororo and her daughter Y/n was doing running though the woods of upstate New York from a group of people called Mutant Hunters. Ororo has dealt with these people like this before, he was called the Shadow King and he wanted Ororo to be one of his hounds because he was attracted to her power. But the people that were chasing them now is way worse because it was the United States government.
“Y/n you must keep up.” Ororo panted.
“I know mama but my legs hurt and I’m sleepy.” Y/n whine.
“I know baby I know but you need to stay awake for a little while longer and we’ll be home”.
As they are run Y/n tries to to sit down but Ororo clutches Y/n to her and say. “Do you want them to take you away from me.”
“No.”
“Then you will keep running.”
“Ok mama.”
Ororo and Y/n continue to run. Ororo sees a small town about a mile away.
All they need to do is to get civilization and they will be safe, but luck was not on their side Y/n gets shot with a tranquilizer and falls down to the ground.
“Oh no Y/n no.” Ororo sobbed.
Ororo tries to wake Y/n up and when that doesn’t work she she picks Y/n up and tries to run but she tripped over a log.
“Look I think we got one.” Said one of the men in the group that’s chasing then. Ororo looks over to where the voices and the dogs barking coming from and gets up.
“I hope one day you can forgive me but I can’t go through that again...I love you my little bird.” Ororo wept as she bent down and kiss Y/n on her forehead, then runs away before the group Mutant hunters can find her. A very lanky man with Sandy brown hair walks up to where Y/n is laying on the ground.
“Sir we got one.” he announced in his walkie talkie.
“Is it the mother or the daughter?” Said the man on the other side of the walkie talkie with Eager curiosity.
“It’s the daughter sir.”
“Bring her to me”.
“Copy that sir get her on the plane.” The lanky man yells at his men. Two men walks up to Y/m and carry to the plane.
“If she’s anything like her mother she will be very crucial.” The men on the phone made known.
“Yes sir Stryker.”
Stryker hangs up the phone and looks over the woman in his office.” Lucas was able to catch the child and not the mother.” Stryker hissed at the woman in front of him.
“William this is good thing the child’s mother is very advanced in her mutant abilities imagine what her child can do.” The woman pointed out.
“I know that’s why I’m assigning you to clean the cell across from Gambit.”
“Yes sir.”
“Oh Ava make sure you check on the construction on the east hallway.” Stryker noted.
“I’ll get right not it sir.” Ava answered walking out of Stryker’s office to Gambit”s cell.

Gambit aka Remy LeBeau was born and raise in New Orleans Louisiana. Abandoned at birth because of his burning red eyes, Remy was kidnapped from his hospital ward by members of the New Orleans Thieves' Guild where he later on became an assassin. He has the ability to mentally create, control, and manipulate pure kinetic energy to his desire. At the time Gambit thought this is the life he wanted but things change people change. So he decided he was going to do one last job for the Guild it was supposed to be easy but he was ambushed by the Mutant Hunters. He’s been here for two years and trying to escape any chance he gets. Playing cards with the security guard and being Damn good, The guards start calling him Gambit.
“What do I owe the pleasure.”Gambit asked. Not finding the Willpower to get up and look at Ava.
“I’m not here for you Gambit, your testing don’t start until next week your getting a new cell mate.” Ava announced as she opens the cell across from Gambit and start cleaning it out.
“Great.” he mumbled. Not thrilled to have another mutant in this facility get an experiment song. Then the  alarm system sounds off causing the facility the flash red with curiosity Gambit sits up and see, Lucas and his team comes walking down the hallway with a little girl then places her in cell across from Gambit. With one look Gambit knew he wanted to do any and everything to protect her even  though he knows he can’t.
Trying not to think the worst. “What are you going to do to her?” Gambit trembled.
“A different take on the weapons program where we take two different mutant abilities and put them in one subject.” Ava grinned and side eyeing Y/n.” The patient zero.” She paused. “There wasn’t any problem.”
“Of course not when we found the girl on the ground and  the mother was nowhere to be found.” Lucas grinned.
“That doesn’t matter by the end of this she won’t remember she had a mother. That will be all.” Ava Said with fire.
Lucas and his team walks away. ”We’ll try not to kill this one.” Ava said in a dry tone then walks away.

Y/n wakes up to the cold feeling of a concrete floor. She looks around not knowing her surroundings wondering where she is and how did she end up here before she was sleep she was with her mother and now she doesn’t see her anywhere.
“Mama mama.” Y/n calls out.
“Sorry chère your mama ain’t here.” Gambit lamented.
Y/n looks up and over and sees a man with deep red eyes.“Who are you and where am I.”
“I’m Gambit and your far from home.”
“Will I ever get to go home?”
“No I don’t think you will.” Gambit pause trying to gather his thoughts.  “What’s your name?”
When Y/n realize what Gambit said she starts to cry the bad people her mother was telling her about got her. “Y/n Moure.“ she sobbed.
“There’s no time to cry petit you have to listen to every word I say ok.” Gambit began In a calm voice.
Y/n nods and wipes her face with the sleeve of her shirt.
“Don’t tell anyone your name and don’t talks to anyone but me ok?” Gambit stated.
“Ok...wha-what is going to happen to me.” Y/n questioned.
Gambit takes a well needed deep breath then asserted. ”There going to experiment on you, there gonna try to make the first mutant with two different abilities. You need to be ready, when they take you and bring you back you have to remember every detail count your steps I’ll try to find a way for us to escape no repeat everything I just told you.”
“I need to be ready they’re going to experiment on me don’t tell anyone my name don’t talk to anyone but you remember every detail and count my steps.”
“Good.”

Y/n wakes up in a hospital style robe on an examining table struggling to move as a man with the red beard walks up to her.
“There’s no point in moving the restraints will keep you still long enough for me to continue with the procedure.” He proclaimed in a level way. ”What is your name?”
Remember what Gambit said don’t tell anyone your name.
“M/n”
“M/n what a lovely name I’m Dr. Cornelius.”
“Why are you doing this to me?”
“Well you see M/n not everyone can be born with your gifts that’s where we come in the Weapons Program we take mutants and turn them into soldiers.” Dr. Cornelius imparted as he walks over to a table, and gets a syringe filled with blood there’s a name on it.
Jean Grey?
He then walks back over to Y/n. “I paid a lot of money for this blood from Mr. Sinister it would be a shame it goes to waste.” He claimed in a soothing tone as he injects Y/n with the blood then everything goes black.

Y/n wakes up in a dark and empty room. “Hello!” She shouted into the darkness.
“Mama! Mama! Gambit!” Y/n Screamed for her mother and Gambit. When she realizes that no one is there she up and sits on the ground and being to crying. As she is sobbing on the ground  Y/n starts to feel warmth spread all over her like she was standing in the sun. She looks up and sees a light, she then rushes towards it and sees a bird on fire.
“Whoa what are you?” Y/n wondered.
“I am phoenix.” The bird said proudly as she wipes away Y/n’s tears.
“Hello I’m Y/n...what are you?”
“My sweet child I associate with the sun.” The phoenix said with a small smile.
Y/n looks up at the phoenix confused. “I am born from the sun.”
“Like outer space in the solar systems?” Y/n asked.
”Yes I am ...why are you sad?” The Bird said in a curious tone.
“I’m all alone.” Y/n whispered.
“My dear child you are not alone because we are one, sweet Y/n you can trust Gambit.” The phoenix proclaimed as touches Y/n’s head.
Y/n wakes up.
“Your awake I thought I would have to tell Stryker you  died 15 Thousand dollars down the drain.” Dr. Cornelius announced. ”How do you feel?”
“The same.” Y/n replied in a dry tone.
“Nothing different uhh I guess it’s a waiting process. I’ll come and get you this time tomorrow nurse.” A nurse walks up to the doctor. “Take M/n to her cell.”
The Nurse walks Y/n her cell and Y/n remember what Gambit told her she start, looking every where there’s a four way hallway. Y/n and the nurse turns down the Second hallway to the left Y/n sees a security office, where a map of the facility is on the wall. The nurse walks up to Y/n’s cell and punch in the code to open door then pushes Y/n in closing the door behind her.
“You’re better off not fighting fighting it only makes it worse.” the nurse shared with a sad grimace then walks away.
“I did what you said I counted my steps it was 35 and there’s a map of the facility in security office.” Y/n said in a cheerfully tone.
“Good job now all I have to do is get to at security office and get a look at the map.” Gambit trailed off.
○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○ ○
Dr. Cornelius came and got Y/n for more testing ,but this time he turns down to the first hallway on the right he. Taking her into a ready room where the walls are padded and there’s a table with vases on it. He takes a sit in the corner and observe Y/n.
“Today we’re going to see if the mutant blood connected with yours. Now we know of your mother’s ability she could control the weather and so can you now use your powers.” Dr. Cornelius noted.
Y/n doesn’t move or show any signs of her abilities.
“Now M/n we can do this the easy way or the hard way I will let you decide your fate.” He said in a level way.
Y/n makes a cloud out of midair causing it to rain filling all four vases with water.
Stryker and Ava watch from a two way mirror in astonishment as Y/n fill the vases.
“Stunning tell her to something else.” Stryker urged Dr Cornelius through the ear piece.
“Can you freeze the water?” Instead of answering Dr. Cornelius Question Y/n freezes the water inside the vases.
“I don’t believe her mother was at that level of her mutant abilities.” Stryker noted.
”See I told you this one will be promising.” Ava quipped.
“Now tell her to make a object move.” Stryker tells Dr Cornelius .
“Now try to make something move M/n.”
Y/n concentrate on making the frozen vase move but nothing happens.
“Are you sure you’re trying.” Dr. Cornelius remarked.
“Yes I am.“ Y/n growled at Dr. Cornelius.
Stryker takes the The intercom and asserted in a firm persistence voice “Well try harder you’re not leaving this room until that object moves.” Y/n is trying to make the object moves and nothing happens she keeps trying and trying.
“I can’t do it ok I can’t I just-“
Everything in the room Y/n and Stryker is in begins to levitate. Dr. Cornelius looks around the room in amazement, that his procedure actually worked he actually created the first Mutant to have two different abilities.
“Now can move forward and try testing my experiment on other mutants”. Dr. Cornelius thought.
Y/n hears Dr. Cornelius voice clear as day in her head. Trying not to show any sign of discomfort Y/n turns her back on the doctor and the mirror.
What’s going on? How can hear Dr. Cornelius’s voice in my head. what did they do to me?
Stryker speak into the mic with a casual tone.”Now...was that so hard.” Stryker looks over at Ava and announced. “Start her combat training I want her to be ready for anything.”
“Yes sir.” Ava walks into the room that Y/n is in grabs her and walks her out.
“Where are you talking me.” Y/n said in a curious voice.
“Your training.” Ava replied in a dry way as she is walking Y/n into a training room.
“Arakan will break her and mold her into the perfect weapon.” Ava’s voice echoed into Y/n’s head.
Y/n walks into training room where she see a tall, big, tough looking guy with dark brown-eye and Pitch black straight hair waring a robe. “This is Arakan he going to be teaching you Japanese and Brazilian jujitsu and mix martial arts, we need you at your at your upmost Tippedy top shape for you to be part of the Weapons Program.” Ava takes a Sit in the corner. “You may begin.” Ava publicized.

Six months later
Y/n hit the floor. Hard. Winded and groaning in pain, she struggled to her feet, blocked the next blow from her opponent, roared she defiance and charged the man who opposed her. Arakan then a pulls a knife jumps at Y/n but before he can stabs her Y/n puts up a Force field and blast him back. Then the room began to shake all the training equipment began to float in midair. Watching form a two way mirror Ava rushes into the room and shot Y/n with a dart to knock her out.
“I thought you was finding a way to help control weapon 15’s Powers she can’t keep losing control, this is the seventh incident since you did the procedure doctor.” Stryker claimed in a level way.
“Will you see Stryker sir we don’t know how to control her abilities only she can do that. We just need her fully compatible in combat which she is she knows when to protect herself with her powers and would not to. At any moment she could’ve used her powers and stopped Arakan, but she didn’t this is progress before she was just using her powers just to use them to hurt Arakan but  now she only calls upon them when she needs them.” Dr. Cornelius commented.
“I need her powers under control or she’s going back on ice.” Stryker hissed ordered as he walks out of the room as the nurses take Y/n to her cell.

“Phoenix are you there?” Y/n curious tone.
The phoenix appears behind Y/n making her turn around.
“You call for me.” Said the Phoenix with a fond look.
“They’re gonna put me back on ice again if I don’t control my powers.” Y/n announced.
”You shouldn’t fight me let us become one.”
“Is that really the answer?”
“Only you can decide that.”
Y/n wakes up and her cell looking up at the ceiling thinking how is she ever going to leave this place if she keeps fighting the phoenix. Maybe letting the Phoenix becoming one with herself won’t be so bad.
“What’s going on in your head petit” Gambit wondered.
“I just wanna be out of here I want to go home.” Y/n ended.
“Me too petit me too.” Gambit said with a sad smile.
Y/n sits up and look over at Gambit. “Do you think it’s a bad idea if I use the phoenix to get us out of here.”
“Petit you know what it does to you. What if you can’t snap back?” Gambit asked.
“If I can’t control my powers, there’re putting me on ice again and I know the next time I go to training I’m gonna lose control.” Y/n acknowledged.
Y/n yells for the guard he walks up to her cell.
“What do you want?” The guard questioned.
“Tell Arakan that I want to finish my training.” Y/n told the guard.
“What are you doing?” Gambit questioned feeling very uncertain of what Y/n is about to do.
The guard pulls out his walkie-talkie and radios for Arakan. “Weapon 15 wants to finish her training.”
“Ok walk her back to the training room.” Arakan replied.
The guard opens Y/n’s cell door and walks her back to the training room she see Arakan waiting for her. “They said if you don’t control your powers within the next few hours you’re going back on ice so you need to get those powers under control.” Arakan encouraged.
“No I don’t think I will be able to do that.” Y/n answered.
Before Arakan can’t even throw a punch the room begins to shake the lights flicker then pop the shards of glass spread all over the room the second mirror window breaks then the doctor walks into the room grabbing Y/n.
Y/n  put up a fight. She tried scratching him, kicking him, and biting him. “Let go me Cornelius! Let me go!” Y/n said as she struggled to free herself from his grasp.
“Was this your whole plan to get put back on ice!” Dr Cornelius wondered.
As Dr Cornelius is putting Y/n into the freezing containment he tells her. “You will be under for one week maybe you’ll learn your lesson.” Dr Cornelius freezers Y/n.
A 15 minutes later the container that Y/n is in begin to crack. Y/n had let the Phoenix take over completely she then breaks the glass of the containment. She walks out of it with the flick of her wrist everything she sees is in flames filling the whole containment area with smoke and fire.
“We have a breach in lower level C a repeat we have a breach in lower level C.” The guard said in a panicky voice as he is rushes into the same room as Y/n. The lights in the whole Facility are flashing red. “Freeze.” The Guard said pointing his gun at Y/n.
“Stand down Weapon 15 or I will have no other choice but to open fire.”he continued. ”I repeat stand down or I will open fire.” Y/n is still walking towards him.
In that moment the guard realize that Y/n wasn’t going to stop he open fire only to have his bullets stop by her her hand.
“Do you think your bullets can hurt me.” Y/n mocked as she sends the bullets flying in a different Direction. Walking away down the hallway where the prisoners being held and destroy every cell door she walks past. Gambit walks out of his cell and see Y/n.
“Petit?” Gambit mumbled.
“I am Phoenix and I’m the reason you are going to escape now let’s go.“ Y/n explained. Y/n grabs Gambit and they run to the security office and get the map of the facility.
“It would seem the exit its at the east hallway.” Gambit confirmed.
“Come on.” Y/n and Gambit are running to the east hallway several guards have There guns pointed at them.
“Return to your cell or we will have to open fire.” The guard said in a firm persistence.
With a wave of her hands all the guards’s guns dismember. Stryker walks in between the guards.
“Let’s not do anything you will regret How about we go back to our cells.” Stryker said in a soothing tone.
“So you can put me back on ice not happening.” Y/n barked at Stryker and his guards.
Y/n rises her hand and the guns levitate in the air. She then points them at Stryker and the guards.
“I’ve never been one to take a life but if you do not let me and Gambit go I will kill all of you” Y/n informed. The facility begins to shake.
“Petit Calm down.” Gambit murmured.
“Now M/n be reasonable you don’t want that blood on your hands.” Stryker said with a panicky voice.
The Concrete walls being to crack, and  Y/n’s eyes and hair starts to glow red. She then sending a powerful blast to Stryker and his guards knocking them unconscious. Gambit takes this opportunity to steal everyone’s wallet. They continue to run to the east hallway Y/n see a room that’s unfinished with the name Weapon X on the The container. As they get to the door they see other mutants trying to get the door open.
“How are we going to get out of here the door sealed shut.” Said a blue boy.
“What If we use all our powers together we might get the door open.” Said a girl with cat eyes.
“Everyone stand back.” Y/n told. All the mutants back away from the door as Y/n walks up to the door and touch the door, and it dissolves under her touch everyone looks shocked including Gambit for a moment. Then everyone runs out the door and scatter like rats when the lights come on.
“We need a car. Seal up that door so no one can get out I’ll go find us a car.” Gambit told Y/n then rushes off to find a car he finds one near a pine tree, he gets in it and Hotwire the car once he gets it started he drives back to where Y/n is waiting for him.
“Get in.” he urged. Y/n gets in the car and he drives away. “Search the car for a map we need to find a way to get pass the border without any problems.” He beseeched.
“Relax all you need to do is get us there I’ll do the rest.” Y/n grinned.
As Gambit drives up to the border he see that’s is only one car ahead of them.
“What’s the plan?” Gambit lilted.
“Just drive up to the Border agent.“ Y/n told Gambit.
The car ahead of then drive through then. Hands tighten around the steering wheel as Gambit drives up to the border agent.
“I’m going to ask you a few questions to verify your citizenship and I’m going to need to see your passport.” Border Agent told Gambit.
But before Gambit  can say anything Y/n lean forward and look at the board agent. “That won’t be necessary we are Americans and we can pass.” Y/n told to Border agent he nods cheerfully at Gambit and Y/n. “All clear.” He Reported.
Gambit drives through the checkpoint. “See now we’re home free I’m going to take a nap.” Y/n said with a sleepy sigh and climbs in the back seat of the car lays to go to sleep.
Hours later on the road Y/n wakes up with a stretch of both arms in different directions.
“Gambit.” Y/n calls out in a sleepy voice. She sits up and looks over at Gambit and see him driving. “What happened? How did we escape.”
Taking his eyes off the rode for a brief moment to look at Y/n. “You don’t remember what happened.” Gambit asked in a curious way.
“No I don’t...where are we.” Y/n asked.
“Columbus Ohio I was gonna stop at a hotel so you can get clean I got us some clothes.”
“Ok where are we going.” Y/n asked in a curious tone.
“New Orleans.”
A/n- I think this is going to be a two or three parter I don’t know yet this is my first time writing anything I know it’s not good but I hope you can understand what I was writing. If I have any Diehard Gambit or Storm fan reading you will know what chapter two with be about.

Record Keeper Part 3 - Final
There once were two brothers, with a 14-year difference between them.
They lived during the Dawn of Quirks, mid-to-late 21st Century.
The older brother was Quirked. His Quirk, unknown. The older Brother’s story was never told. At least, not the version of his story that had actually taken place. Even though he was there for the younger brother at the beginning… It wasn’t until much, much later that he actually returns to the narrative. By that point though, the story I’m about to tell you had already been erased from history and the younger brother was dead.
“Oh? You make it sound as if I knew him?”
“If my theory is correct? You did. You were there after all, but then again. That didn’t stop the government from separating the brothers, didn’t stop the 1% from taking back control and erasing such an important piece of history. During the time of the Dawn, you probably remember Fear, protests, riots, destruction, an unresponsive government. Death.”
“Yes, that is what happened. I tried to fix it, rather trying to fix it.”
A shake of the head. “The version you remember is on loop. In the beginning, yes. What they had essentially done, was erase the history of what had actually happened; it was a complete erasure of the culture, society, reforms, and everything that had actually happened. Taken what had happened in the beginning of when Quirks first appeared, then basically put it on loop for the entire generation until they made it appear as if the second generation rose up and put a stop to it. Then they created the society we know today. Then, before the first generation and the generations before them who lived during that time could correct the second and new generations and tell what had actually happened, the government went and erased those generations – either by killing them off completely or wiping their memory. Making it look like those generations had been so traumatized by what they had gone through, their brains had locked the memories away.”
“If you don’t believe us, we Record Keepers have always been slippery folk. The only reason we know this and escaped the government’s reach is because of the younger brother in the story we are telling,” Grandmother Midoriya laughs. “He was just as slippery as we are, much to the amusement of the Rogues he led and the frustration of his older brother who had been searching for him this entire time.”
“Hmm.”
“Interested now?”
“My interest is peaked. I do not like the idea that my memories may be wrong.”
“Much to the displeasure of the guards, if you become outrage by the end of this story, your outrage would be completely justifiable,” Midoriya Hisashi replies, having seen the displeasure of the guards even before they started their story.
“Can I continue with the story now?”
“Go on.”
The younger brother is our story’s focus, mostly because he was the one to come forward with the story.
The brothers were orphans. Their father died before the mother found out she was pregnant. The mother died when the younger brother was only 4 years old.
Like I mentioned, they had a 14-year difference between the two of them. So, by the time their mother had died, even during the turmoil that was going on, the older brother was of legal age to raise the younger brother, despite being Quirked.
The younger brother was Quirkless so you would think at a time like that period, they would have been separated. But no. The older brother raised the younger brother.
Until the younger brother was six years old.
To outsiders, it is told that the younger brother was taken by a van on his way home from school.
Reality is this:
Government agents, from an agency known only as the Lab, came to their home. Kicked their door down.
The two brothers thought they were after the older brother, given that he was Quirked and Quirks were feared.
“Let me guess, they took the older brother and the younger was left alone.”
Izuku smiles grimly. The elder Record Keepers keep quiet, though they stare at All For One with a thousand-yard stares.
The one that the government agents had pointed at, had wanted, wasn’t the older brother.
No.
The finger raised up and pointed at the Younger Brother. The Quirkless six-year-old, under the Quirked 20-year-old’s protection, was the one they wanted.
From the few scattered memories the younger brother had of that day, we can firmly say the older brother hadn’t thought at all, had turned, grabbed his younger brother, and ran.
Into the snow falling woods behind his home.
Within those snowy woods, the government agents gave chase and shot the older brother down 4 times. Knocking the older brother down and releasing the younger brother from his hold.
And the younger brother could nothing as the Lab agents grabbed him and took him from his brother. Could do nothing as they shot his brother again right through the chest to stop him from getting up and getting his brother back.
The younger brother ended up in the Lab, the scientist there called the Men in White Lab Coats.
They re-named him Subject 27, branded him with the number. Put him in a cage and did many experiments upon him.
Even going as far as changing his body to bare children for them to take and experiment on as well, the moment he turned 11 and signs of puberty started to show.
“I may be a monster, but at least the experiments I had the Good Doctor do were on dead or soon-to-be-dead people, and that they were adults and I didn’t do that to any of them.”
“Yes, yes, and you get one brownie point for it,” Grandmother waves him off.
Midoriya and Izuku sweatdrop. “Okaa-sama, you are braver than any Pro Hero or US marine. And I don’t know how to feel about that.”
“You should have realized this long before this meeting, Tou-san.”
“Doesn’t make it any less scary to see.”
Subject 27, upon the discovery the Men in White Lab Coats had made of learning that 27’s body is accepting all of the experiments and the powers those experiments are bringing, was nicknamed by the other experimented-on children.
First, they called him.
A cruel name in the Lab, but one he bore proudly as one of his many scars once he got out.
For he was the first child out of the 27 million Quirkless children taken since the Lab’s establishment in the 1980s who survived the experiments, the harsh training, the conditions, and the labor they were put through.
Subject 27 was 14-years-old when the thought of escape crossed his mind.
He had just witnessed with the four only other surviving now-empowered children a newbie’s attempt to escape. If it had not been for that lucky shot one of the guards had managed to make, the new kid would have survived and been the first child to successfully escape the Lab and its maze of a structure.
That, dead, kid was the one who had inspired the five children who witnessed the whole thing to try and escape themselves for the first time in their lives.
They were successful.
Subjects 100 – Jagger – and 9 – Tiny – took the information the Lab had. Subjects 27 – First – and 48 – Gadget – had weakened the infrastructure and started a fire. Subject 19 – Ruff – had freed the monster children for them to distract the Men in White Lab Coats while this was going on. Then they left.
Right through the electric fence. Watching the whole place burn down to the ground as Gadget frantically drove away.
Through the files, they all searched for their families. Jagger learned that they had been a foster child the system had given up on; Tiny learned she had been torn right from her mother’s arms after her birth because her mom had been a mental asylum patient; Gadget learned his family had given him to the Lab for money, even though they were middle class; Ruff learned he had been practically raised by the house cat because his parents were a workaholic mom and a drug-addicted dad; and First learned that the government knew his brother had a Quirk, and that First hadn’t been their original target until the Lab had intervened and requested First.
“It’s interesting that they had agreed to take the Quirkless child instead of the Quirked adult,” the prisoner hummed. Hisashi gives a harsh bark of a laugh but doesn’t say what he had wanted to say in response.
Izuku knew what he had been thinking. The Quirked brother would have murdered the government agents if they had tried to take him away from his little brother – in fact, if First’s memory of that time is correct, that had been exactly what he had been about to do if they hadn’t pointed at First and demanded him instead.
Once they got to the city, the crew of five teenagers got to work immediately. They wanted to make sure that the Lab couldn’t rebuild its Japanese branch and that the other branches they discovered through the stolen files were immediately dealt with.
They created the organization that would become known as The Rogues. They accepted everybody in their ranks – Quirkless, Quirked, Escapees, Runaways, the Indigenous children who wanted to spit in the governments’ face for abandoning their people, the Black people who wanted to spit in the governments’ face for abandoning their people, the Queer who wanted to spit in the governments’ face for abandoning their people, the Disabled who wanted to spit in the governments’ face for abandoning their people, the Mutant Quirked people who wanted to spit in the governments’ and society’s face for abandoning and hurting their people, all the Quirked people who were discriminated against on all sides of the playing field who wanted Justice, the religious people who wanted Justice for every discrimination and persecution brought upon them. They didn’t care to hear your reason as long as you didn’t back stab them nor were out to assassinate them.
“They weren’t successful, were they?”
Grandmother smiles, “We wouldn’t be here if they weren’t successful. And the 1% would not have eradicated all traces of this piece of history if the Rogues were not successful. You would know this story if they were not successful.”
The Rogues did a lot of damage to the government and society actually.
Within a few months, they were an entire Nonprofit organization, filled with Vigilantes, Heroes, and Runners – Runners being people who did literal damage to corporations and governments including leading riots triggered by the police.
“Runners were basically people recognized by the public as Vigilantes and Heroes like the rest of the organization but labeled as Villains by the government and propaganda. They never touched civilian property or publicly owned items,” his father explained.
All For One snorts in response, “Not surprised.”
Grandmother and Izuku note that he doesn’t seem to recognize the story, though he hides his confusion well.
Izuku pities the guards who will have to deal with an enraged All For One once this story-telling and their visit is over. Especially when he finds out about what had actually happened to his brother.
Doing great damage to the government and society. Within a year, they had people who either directly worked for or supported the Rogues on all playing fields, including the underworld. Though it wouldn’t be until they had completely wiped the government cleaned and gotten started on rebuilding the system and society that they learned of the support coming in from the shadows, 4 years after the original 5 had escaped the Lab.
During the final battle, after 4 years of silent fighting between both sides in the shadows and on all levels, the governmental head in charge of the Lab revealed that the Emperor had no idea about what any of this, that none of the official heads in any of the governments knew of the Lab’s existence but the government over all had known.
First, renamed by the Rogues during the early years as Tsunayoshi, hadn’t been over all surprised by this news. When he had confronted the Emperor only a few months prior, despite the guards’ best efforts to get him to not reveal anything or talk before them, the Emperor had looked confused then horrified as he had provided through the files and his own scars.
It was the second piece of information the Lab Head had provided that had frozen Tsunayoshi in his tracks.
He had given Tsunayoshi the one piece of information he had wondered about his whole life, as an experiment, as an escapee, as the Leader of the Rogues, all the way until that confrontation.
He had told Tsunayoshi his name.
His original family-given name.
And his brother’s name.
Shigaraki Hisashi was the name of his older brother.
Shigaraki Mana was Tsunayoshi’s original name.
A hiss of a sucked-in breath was All For One’s only reaction.
“You remember raising Mana completely, don’t you?” Grandmother Midoriya is ruthless in her assessment. “Doesn’t surprise me. The only reason we even have this information is because Tsunayoshi, or Mana, had come directly to us Record Keepers to have his memory and story stored and later told. Otherwise even us Record Keepers would have believed the same as the historians and everybody else.”
“For once, the piece of history told in the textbooks was written not by the victors but the losers,” Izuku’s dad smirks. He always did like it whenever the history the historians tell or guess at was told by the losers rather than the victors. Claimed it gave the side of the story to the public you never get to hear, outside of word from the mouth of the betrayed.
Tsunayoshi managed to push past the pause and destroy the last king piece. Ended the 4-year-long battle.
With the help of the Emperor, the People, most importantly all of the minority groups, new governments and society was created. New laws, way of life, the erasure and systematic destruction of discrimination on all levels, people joined together. The patriarchy became a thing of the past, all sides of history were researched with the help of the Record Keepers and rebuilt to encompass every aspect, the education system was revamped and reformed. Everything was built from the ground up. Non-Quirk-Users and Quirk Users worked hand-in-hand. The Rogues worked hard to get people to accept others in the way they’ve learned to accept people – for even though they couldn’t promise you wouldn’t earn enemies, they could at least promise the reason wouldn’t be because of something out of your control.
Tsunayoshi, having chosen to focus on his duty as Rogue Leader and not paid attention to the information the Lab Head had given him, did not confront that information about his and his brother’s name until he was 21 years old.
Until he was looking at an exact copy of his dead brother, who had approached the Rogues as their shadow helper from the underworld. You can imagine how enrage he was looking at this supposed copy of his dead brother.
None of our documents, not even the Record Keepers who had witnessed the rage, were able to properly explain or encompass what exactly happened and how enraged Tsunayoshi was. But all of them had agreed that if it wasn’t for the fact that the Men in White Lab Coats had already been persecuted by the Rogues, Tsunayoshi would have made them and all other scientists like them extinct.
It wasn’t until the copy had proven to their Vigilante group that he was indeed Tsunayoshi’s older brother via Quirk, that Tsunayoshi calmed down and allowed the copy who turned out to truly be Shigaraki Hisashi to explain himself.
“Self-repair. If the kidnapping took place when I was 20, then I had already been gifted with several healing Quirks, all of which were fully capable of healing bullet wounds.”
Tsunayoshi had sworn up and down his family’s graves during their escape and initial hunts for their families that he had seen a government agent walk in closer and shoot his brother right through the head. That was why all hunts for Tsunayoshi’s remaining family had stopped, with the others’ own searches stopping soon after, and they had focused on the organization, then the War, and then reconstruction.
A bullet wound to the head, no matter how powerful of a Healing Quirk you have, should not have healed or led to a person’s revival. The Rogues became wary of the strange man and kept an eye on him, even as they continued with their jobs and Tsunayoshi and Hisashi had hidden in his office to continue their previous conversation.
The man, known only as All For One by the rest of the population, tried to get reacquainted with Tsunayoshi as his brother. Tsunayoshi had put a stop to all of these attempts and told him in no uncertain terms that he didn’t need an older brother then and he doesn’t need one now, that their relationship is strictly professional at best and tense Vigilante-Mafia relations at worst.
Let’s just say that Hisashi had not reacted well to the news, having been searching passively and actively for his little brother over the years and not wanting to have him be taken away so soon.
“Not surprised. I’ve always been a bit of a family man.” The dark undertone in his voice indicated that, just like his younger self, he was not happy with the news that his little brother wanted nothing to do with him after years of being separated. Midoriya-tou-san makes note of this in the official Record Keeper file and Izuku moves on.
Tsunayoshi didn’t care. He hasn’t been Shigaraki Mana since he was 6 years old, hasn’t been a younger brother since he was 14. Didn’t plan on reuniting with those mantles any time soon, not with the job that he had to do.
Tsunayoshi was 23 when he approached a Midoriya for the first time and asked to tell his story. There were signs of the 1% who had managed to escape persecution trying to enplant and dismantle all his hard work. He knew that they would try more than that, and wanted at least one Clan that still remembered what life actually was like during his lifetime.
He knew that if their attempts worked, they would try to erase this history and rewrite it to look similar to how it was originally when Quirks first appeared. And he wanted to undermine their efforts.
All it took was one seed. That seed was his story. Tsunayoshi asked us to keep the truth hidden until the time was right.
Tsunayoshi was 37 years old when the story of One For All and All For One – the story you’re more familiar with – happened. By that time, the underworld and remaining 1% were actively working towards dismantling and destroying the Rogues’ Legacy.
Tsunayoshi was 40 years old when he died in battle fighting you and the rest of the underworld. Before he passed, he wiped out the remaining 1% and every single underworld member who had been fighting in that battle.
The only one he hadn’t managed to destroy, as you know, was All For One. Shigaraki Hisashi.
The only reason why, contrary to popular belief, is because he had hesitated and you took advantage of that hesitation.
“Yes. I do remember him hesitating and looking at me with something in his eyes I didn’t recognize for the longest time.”
“Love. He had looked at you and remembered the man who had raised him for 6 years before they were brutally ripped apart,” Midoriya-tou-san speaks up, “He had looked at you and seen the version of you he once upon a time had loved. That was what had caused his hesitation. Because even through all the experiments he had been through, some part of him had still managed to hold onto the warmth and love you had given him when he was younger.”
“He had hesitated because he had looked at you, at your weakest point, and had been searching for the warm man who had raised him,” Grandmother picks up the explanation, “We Midoriyas, after all these years, had assumed that he had found him, because, if he had not found that man, the Tsunayoshi we knew would have killed you immediately the second he had the chance. Given that we have records of him trying to do exactly that the first few times you two had met, we know this assumption to be, for the most part, fact.”
All For One, Shigaraki Hisashi, presses his lips together but doesn’t say anything. The timer rings, singling the end of their visitation. The Midoriya’s gather up their supplies and leave the jail, Toshinori catching up to them at the hallway.
“I pity the guards who have to deal with him after that story and revelation,” Toshinori comments once they are driving back to UA, for Izuku, and the Clan home for Midoriya Hisashi and Grandmother Midoriya Nakomi. They had felt the tremors on the bridge connecting Tartarus and the mainland together. AFO was pissed alright but luckily for Izuku who had been telling the story had waited until they were gone before screaming out his rage. Some part of Izuku, kind of almost feels like One For All whispering, had described the emotion they could hear ringing out as not rage, but despair.
If I learned the figure of my younger brother I had been fighting against wasn’t the younger brother I thought I knew, that all the memories I have of him from 6 years old until our infamous fight were false… I would be pretty distressed and outrage too. But mostly, despaired. Because I killed my little brother, someone who apparently, I hadn’t actually known. Izuku kept these thoughts to himself. He didn’t pity AFO. Not really.
Having been raised off of the stories developed because of AFO’s actions over the past 200 years, on top of the stories not related to him, Izuku has heard, seen, and experienced the horrible things All For One had done. Tsunayoshi had certainly felt disappointed and enraged towards his brother when he had told his Guardian Spirit of what his brother had done, with the Noumus and such. No, Izuku didn’t feel any pity towards this man.
But he certainly felt pity towards Shigaraki Hisashi, the young man, boy really, who had raised Mana until he was ripped from his arms without warning.
One part of Tsunayoshi’s story the Midoriyas had refused to tell AFO, was that Midoriya Hakoda, the Record Keeper who had record Tsunayoshi’s story, and Tsunayoshi had fallen in love.
That necklace wrapped around Izuku’s neck was the same betrothal necklace Hakoda had craved and gifted to Tsunayoshi as his engagement ring.
They hadn’t told AFO that Shigaraki Mana had grown up to become Midoriya Tsunayoshi, had borne 2 healthy children.
That he had been 4 weeks pregnant with their third child when he had faced off against AFO for the last time.
That the Main Midoriya Clan Line, of which Nakomi, Hisashi, and Izuku all were borne into, was actually Tsunayoshi and Hakoda’s line, with them being of the youngest child’s line and South Japan’s Main Midoriya Clan Line being that of the oldest child’s line.
Nakomi had not indicated to Izuku for him to include that part of the story. Hisashi had wanted to see the world burn in response to Shigaraki’s rage over killing his many-greats-grand-nephew. To which Grandmother had responded by slapping him over the head, to which he grumbled and then reluctantly said that he actually didn’t care if their many-greats-grand-uncle knew or not. Izuku had decided not to say anything but fully planned on claiming the title of being Midoriya Tsunayoshi’s great-great-great-great grandson when he’s a Pro Hero and had been given full clearance to expose the Truth.
After all, everybody believed the words of a Record Keeper far more than the textbooks.
 (And years down the line, older Izuku would look back on that promise and silently curse his idiot younger self. All Might didn’t have to deal with the literal manhunt crusade of All For One trying to get ahold of the second only thing he has left of the little brother he apparently knew nothing about. He also silently curses the South Japan Line for dying out because of a completely avoidable situation, and curses his grandmother and father for being dead before he was ready to handle the mantle of Record Keeper and being the only one from Tsunayoshi’s bloodline. If only he had kept his mouth shut!)

Best Marvel Comics to Binge Read on Marvel Unlimited
https://ift.tt/2UR4Tzi
With an enormous swath of the world involved in varying degrees of social distancing, many of us suddenly find ourselves with a lot of time on our hands. Never fear! There are more options for streaming comics than ever before, and that means we have access to more of comics history, more hidden gems, and more epochal runs than ever before. But the variety of options to read can be daunting. That’s why we’ve put together a recommendation list of some of our favorite comics binge reads to help you through quarantine. Marvel Unlimited has been around for more than a decade. It runs about six months behind print release of books, so it’s a good way to stay sorta-current with the stories you love. But the real draw is the back catalog: with 25,000 issues in its library, you’ve got access to some of the most important and most entertaining runs of superhero books of all time. From Lee and Kirby creating the modern superhero comic in the pages of Fantastic Four through Chris Claremont and John Byrne revolutionizing the X-Men, and through several Wars (Secret, Infinity, or Civil), everything is here.
You don’t need us to tell you to read some of these stories. You know “The Dark Phoenix Saga,” Kraven’s Last Hunt, “Demon in a Bottle,” or Jonathan Hickman’s behemoth are all important and good. And some of them, Marvel’s even giving you for free. We’re going to skip over some of the obvious ones and point you towards hidden gems, the harder to find stories that fill in the edges of the Marvel Universe and make it such a rich, lush experience. We are also looking for monster runs that will keep you occupied – you can read six issues in one sitting with no danger of nearing the end. Some of these might take you an entire round of social distancing to finish.
A quick note about the reading guides: We’ll list out the issue numbers for most of these. Many of them may have their own separate entry under Marvel Unlimited’s reading lists – those are helpful, but these are definitive. One of them, we’re going to refer you to the events – to find those, you can go to “Browse”, then scroll over to “Comic Events.” And for one of these, we’re linking to the inordinately helpful Comic Book Herald. They’re a great site for comic reading orders in general, and have helped me through several other binge reads before.
Walt Simonson’s Thor
Thor (1966) #337-360, Balder the Brave (1985) #1, Thor #361-362, Balder the Brave #2-4, Thor #363-382
This probably shouldn’t be on the list. It is in the conversation for the greatest runs on any superhero comic ever. But if you’ve never read it, you’re truly missing out.
If you watched Thor: Ragnarok and loved how it looked or any of its story, chances are you are going to adore this, the run that Ragnarok borrowed so much from. Walter Simonson took the Asgard realized by Jack Kirby, the mythological realm pumped full of color and Kirby dots, and turned everything way up to create the most iconic Thor run of all time. Simonson started the run on art before handing off to Sal Buscema, and Simonson and Buscema are two of the artists I could recognize by style the soonest. Everything is HUGE.

It’s paced immaculately, with whatever story is in the foreground holding your complete attention, but always with something drip drip dripping in the background that will eventually crescendo. This run made so many characters wonderful, but Loki, Volstagg, and Beta Ray Bill are highlights. And have I mentioned the art? It’s incredible, and doesn’t suffer one bit when Buscema takes over. This is my favorite run on any comic of all time. You absolutely must read it.
X-Men: the Messiah Cycle
Messiah CompleX, Messiah War, and X-Men: Second Coming
The hottest take you’re going to find on the internet today is this: the Messiah Cycle is the best era of X-Men comics. It has everything I want from the X-Men line: books have distinct voices and missions, but contribute to the overarching direction of the line. There IS an overarching direction to the line. New characters are brought to the front, and new ideas are injected into the line.

X-Men: The Animated Series – The Essential Episodes

You get all of that from the Messiah era. Messiah CompleX picks up with Cerebro identifying the first mutant birth in years; Messiah War has the members of the Mutants with Claws and Swords era X-Force heading to the future to check up on that baby; Second Coming is when she returns to present day. Each one has a different tone; Messiah CompleX and Second Coming bring together every book in the line to tell their stories, but also let each creative team keep telling their stories and end up being the best-handled X-crossovers since Inferno. And Second Coming is the best straight action X-book I think I’ve ever read.
If you like these crossovers, you should absolutely check out other books from this era. Utopia X, a crossover between Uncanny X-Men and Dark Avengers, is amazing, as is Duane Swierczynski and Ariel Olivetti’s Cable and Zeb Wells’ New Mutants.
Mark Gruenwald’s Captain America
Captain America (1968) #307-422, 424-443
Full confession: this is my current binge read. After years of hearing about how wonderful Gruenwald’s Cap was, I finally decided to jump in and within three issues, I was texting people to scream at them for not forcing me to read it sooner. For starters, the goddamn Serpent Society turns into a union. In fact, the Serpent Society’s union meeting is the most fun I’ve had reading a comic scene in a while, and the fact that it is based on a real meeting of comic book creators from 1978 makes it both more accurate sounding and HILARIOUS (I think Constrictor is Gil Kane, when you read it).

Captain America Comics Guide and Reading Order

But the real appeal is how much movie Cap is based on this era. Gruenwald’s Steve Rogers is a really nice guy. Everybody loves him, everyone respects him, and there’s not a lick of condescension or mean spiritedness about anything he does, from sparring with Black Knight to taking on a gang of criminal jugglers with Hawkeye to trying to help joke villains like Rocket Racer. He’s also extremely competent, and Gruenwald and artist Paul Neary do an incredible job of showing this, as Cap breaks into the West Coast Avengers’ headquarters while trying to figure out, through his jet lagged brain, what day it is. It only gets bigger and more traditionally superhero as it goes on, with artistic contributions from the likes of Kieron Dwyer, Ron Lim, and others.
You’ll see even more of this run’s influence in Marvel’s The Falcon and The Winter Soldier TV series on Disney+, as it introduces key characters who we’ll see on screen there, so get reading, and pay attention!
Runaways
Runaways (2017) #1-current
Rainbow Rowell’s current run as writer on Runaways captures the Marvel spirit better than just about any comic coming out right now. It’s a masterful mix of superheroics, joyful immersion in Marvel continuity, and soapy teenage drama. A lot of people are doing good work at Marvel right now, but nobody is hitting these notes as consistently well as this crew.
This book is remarkably accessible for something so steeped in its own history. If you’re new to comics, or if you’re here because of the Hulu show, you’ll find plenty to love. But if you liked the original series from Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona, you’re going to be shocked at how much this feels like if that same book had never ended. Even though the characters have grown and changed substantially, their voices are distinct and seamless. This is one of my favorite Marvel comics being published right now, and once you’re all caught up, make sure you add it to your pull list at your shop.
Darth Vader
Darth Vader (2015) #1-12, Star Wars: Vader Down #1, Darth Vader #13, Star Wars (2015) #13, Darth Vader #14, Star Wars #14, Darth Vader #14-25
Remember that moment in Rogue One where Vader just kicked the shit out of everyone without looking like he was trying? And how everyone squealed in delight at old, force of nature, badass villain Darth Vader being back? If you were reading the comics at the time, that moment had already happened for you a full 18 months before the movie came out, in Darth Vader #6.

Star Wars: Darth Vader’s Best Moments from the Marvel Comics
By Marc Buxton
This entire series is Vader killing everything he can. It’s like watching a space tornado. What’s especially surprising, though, is how Kieron Gillen manages to sneak some important character development into the book. While Vader slices through Sith intrigue and Rebel scum and the entire royal line of a mining planet and a bunch of others, we’re also learning about why he’s the way he is. This series takes place between A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back, so some of the lines that get filled in add to the rest of the OT as well. There have been several very good Star Wars comics since Marvel got the license back, but this run on Darth Vader is the best.
Ultimate Spider-Man
Ultimate Spider-Man saved Marvel Comics. Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Bagley didn’t do it with flashy variants or crossovers. They did it by telling good, pure, core Spidey stories.
It’s hard to separate Peter’s origin from Ultimate Spider-Man from Peter’s origin in the 616. The Ultimate origin is so definitive and iconic in how it fills in the spaces between the necessary beats. Bagley’s art especially – even now, thinking about this series that I haven’t read in forever, I can still pull up Peter jumping over Norman’s car, or MJ’s face when she and Peter have “the talk.”

For the absolute best, and purest this book can be, just read the first 38 issues, ending with the first Venom arc, but the book stays solid for its entire run. Bendis’ work with both Peter Parker and Miles Morales is my favorite work of his career, especially when Miles joins the cape world, but nothing will ever match just how fantastic these first few arcs of Ultimate Spider-Man are.
The Annihilation Era
Annihilation, Annihilation: Conquest, War of Kings, Realm of Kings, and The Thanos Imperative
You will be hard pressed to find better comic book space opera than the Abnett/Lanning era of Marvel’s cosmic characters. Marvel’s cosmic line was an afterthought when these first started coming out. By the end, it was a widely beloved corner of the Marvel Universe that was popular enough to be mostly transcribed whole by the movies.

Guardians of the Galaxy Reading Order
By Gavin Jasper
The nice thing about this era of the cosmic line is how neatly the main books move from event to event. Annihilation tells the story of a cataclysm that befalls the universe, and how the remaining heroes – Nova, Star Lord, Silver Surfer, Drax, Gamora, Ronan the Accuser, and Super-Skrull, among others – fight a war to survive. Rich Rider gets his own solo Nova comic from there, and it leads right into Annihilation: Conquest, about the catastrophe that follows in Annihilation’s wake. It also sees the formation of the Guardians of the Galaxy as we know them and launches their book, before tying both comics together in War of Kings where the Shi’ar and Kree empires collide. Realm of Kings is the aftermath of that war (and has one of my favorite Shi’ar Imperial Guard stories of all time), and that leads directly into the conflict that mostly closes out the era, The Thanos Imperative. This is a great introduction and immersion in Marvel’s cosmic universe, and will have you hooked by the halfway point of the first crossover.
Black Panther
Black Panther (1998) #1-22, Deadpool (1997) #44, Black Panther #23-62
There are certainly better parts to this run, but there is a scene where Namor, T’Challa, Doctor Doom, and Magneto stand around an apartment outside of the United Nations shouting at each other about diplomacy, and to this day I still have not found a comic book more specifically designed for my interests than this one.

Best Black Panther Comics: An Essential Reading Guide
By Jim Dandy
Priest is one of the sharpest minds ever to write comics. He’s so good at misdirection and storytelling – he will overwhelm you with style and flash, and you won’t even notice the subtle clues he’s dropping, or the way themes and characters weave together to show key parts of the story. This run on Black Panther is probably the definitive one for the character, and contributed a ton to the movie version, but there’s so much more depth (and humor!) that Priest puts into the Marvel Universe that it’s very worth reading.
Incredible Hercules
Hulk (1999) #106-112, Incredible Hercules (2008) #113-115, Hulk Vs. Hercules: When Titans Collide, Incredible Hercules #116-137, Assault on New Olympus Prologue, Incredible Hercules #138-141, Hercules: Fall of an Avenger #1-2, Heroic Age: Prince of Power #1-4, Chaos War #1-5
Greg Pak and Fred Van Lente are two of the best people writing comics right now. Each individually writes really good comics, but the two of them working together almost always put something special out. Incredible Hercules spun out of World War Hulk and came out better than it had any business being.

Who is She-Hulk? A Guide to Marvel’s Next TV Star
By Gavin Jasper
Hercules exists in a unique place. Pak and Van Lente used him as a gateway to the mythology of the Marvel Universe – the Greek pantheon, but also the Norse pantheon, Japanese gods, Inuit gods, even Skrull deities. And several of these aren’t exclusive to Marvel, so you get a very clear and obvious statement about some of the differences between the Big 2 universes, some clever in-jokes, and the requisite moving story about godhood. This all comes with wonderful characterization, clever plotting and a great sense of humor.
Nextwave: Agents of H.a.T.E.
Read Nextwave after you’ve read everything else, not because it’s a good capstone to your Marvel experience, but because it’s aggressively anti-continuity, and (lovingly) EXTREMELY disrespectful of the rest of the Marvel Universe. It’s also one of the funniest comics Marvel’s ever put out.
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530" }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
This whole story is Warren Ellis brutalizing superheroes. Boom Boom from X-Force, Monica Rambeau (sometimes Captain Marvel, sometimes Photon), Machine Man, monster hunter Elsa Bloodstone, and Captain &#($$&*#!@ (or The Captain) are brought together by the Highest Anti-Terrorism Effort (H.A.T.E.) to fight Unusual Weapons of Mass Destruction. It’s aggressive nonsense, less anti-continuity than acontinuitous which isn’t a word but also fits the spirit of the book – characters make no sense even from issue to issue, and only serve the plot, but that nonsense later serves the plot. And it is an absolute tour de force from Stuart Immonen, who draws every type of comedy you can imagine – slapstick, absurdity, somehow sarcasm, puns – with incredible layouts and storytelling. This is not a good Marvel comic, but it is an incredible comic book that you’re going to love.

Warnings: Blackmail/Extortion/Threats, Child Abuse, Child Neglect, Abandonment, Murder Mention, Suicide Mention, Death Mention, Quirk Inhibitors, Partial Muteness (from past injury), Eating Disorders (technically not but just ot be safe I’ll warn for it, basically one character can’t chew much and it’s an issue with eating), Injury Mentions, Anxiety Attack Mention (Non-Graphic), let me know if I should add anything else.
Note: Based on this AU. Link here to this chapter on ao3. Kurogiri is a pro hero and UA teacher. Ahmya means ‘black rain and Ayeka means ‘someone who thinks quickly, rationally, or logically’. Shinokanri means ‘possessive particle control’, since her family is mainly telekinetic quirks. Yukimura is Todoroki Rei’s maiden name, it means ‘snow village’. Tamijiki is Magne’s chosen name, it means ‘honest beautiful’.
The Leage Of Misfit Heroes: Chapter 1- Becoming The League Of Villains
Getting threatened and blackmailed into doing a villain's dirty work wasn't something on Blackmist's bucket list, nowhere close to it. Let alone did scouting for street kids with powerful Quirks, actually. But here he was, playing mother duck as he led the six street kids to the bar. They all seemed to be thirteen.
The one with brown hair hung onto the one with blue hair, both not touching anything except each other, and even then their hands never seemed to touch anything. The blonde one skipped next to him with the white haired girl running joyfully, both following trustfully, and the one with red and white hair held to his hand, seemingly shy and quiet. The boy with silver hair guided the bluenette and brunette by holding their wrists. It seemed their Quirks came from their hands. Upon reaching the bar, he heard All For One's voice as the stupid television on the wall saw the kids.
'I really wish I took them home to Tomo. Even if she would freak out.' The Warp Hero thought.
"Ah, Blackmist, you've listened well. And so many of them too. What are their Quirks?" The two that clung to each other hid behind him at the sudden voice.
'God, they remind me of Ahmya and Ayeka.' He couldn't help comparing the two to his twin daughters. Given he only knew four of their Quirks, he settled for them.
"The blonde one is Toga Himiko, she can shapeshift. This one is Shinokanri Eri, she can turn her whole body into pure energy. This is Yukimura Touya, he can emit smoke and create snow. And the silver haired is Kurono Hari, he can manipulate molecules and make things slow down or speed up."
"And the other two?"
"I haven't asked them as I haven't engaged theirs."
"Blue boy, what is your Quirk?" He looked to the blue haired boy as he suddenly stood up taller at being addressed.
"Decay and Restore. Anything I touch with all five fingers I can destroy or restore."
"Can you turn it off, child?" Blackmist saw the boy, Shimura Tenko, clench his fists.
"No." His voice was angry and gritted through his teeth.
"Blackmist, the suppressor collars on the five of them. Little boy with brown hair, what is your Quirk?" Unwillingly he took the suppressor collars from the bar counter and put them on the two girls first, seeing as they put up little fight, besides Toga attempting to pull it off. Yukimura was next, the shy boy not stopping him. Kurono fought a bit more than Toga, but he managed it. And, once he got it on Shimura, the blue haired boy stopped fighting, obviously knowing he couldn't really do much about it.
"Destruction and Recreation." The brunette whispered.
"What is your Quirk, boy!?" All For One repeated louder. The brunette looked scared.
"I can destroy things and put them back together." He saw tears sprout up in the brunette's eyes.
"Blackmist, put a suppressor on him immediately." Chisaki actually let go of Shimura and he stuck his neck out willingly.
"Please?" The brunette whispered as he clasped his hands together like he was trying to be docile. It hurt to see a child this scared.
"Of course, Chisaki." He gently moved the brown hair from the boy's neck and put the metal inhibitor around the back of his neck, clicking it shut over his windpipe. The brunette grabbed his own shirt, like testing his Quirk and he suddenly hugged him tightly, sniffling.
"Thank you." The brunette was crying, he couldn't not hug him back.
"Blackmist, you'll be training their Quirks. Attend to it that they don't get noticed." And he turned to the preteens as he heard the transmission end.
"Is anyone hungry?" He asked them. All of them nodded except the scarred boy. Yukimura didn't respond. "Yukimura?" He asked the half and half boy.
"He can't eat solid foods." Toga alerted him.
"How does miso soup sound then?" He offered. Yukimura's head bolted up and nodded.
"Touya can't speak much because of the scars or else I'll hurt so he uses JSL, Mister Blackmist Sir." Shinokanri told him.
"Ah. Well, I understand JSL, Young Touya. I can't do it well myself with all the mist." He told the half and half.
He ended up staying at the bar the rest of the day, listening to the preteens telling him of what had happened to make them homeless, in varying circumstances. As it turned, Toga Himiko's parents died in a horrific fire, Chisaki Kai had become a runaway after years of abuse from his parents, Yukimura Touya had run away after his father burned him to the point of being unable the speak. Shimura Tenko had become homeless after his father was shot and killed by a mugger and his mother blamed him and threw him out, Kurono Hari was an orphan who ran away from an orphanage run by a child trafficker, and Shinokanri Eri had been thrown onto the street for her Quirk being nothing like her family's.
Over the next year, he ended up bringing home four more young people, Sako Atsuhiro, who was a homeless magician kid who was his first that he took back to the bar. From what he gathered in what Atsuhiro was willing to admit, his father had been a villain named Paralysis and his mother a Pro Hero named Miss Marble, something that hadn't meant much until he found on record that Sako Shinju died the same day she gave birth to a son; thirteen years ago. And, it seemed by the both death certificate, her husband, not the villain Paralysis but the Pro Hero: Seer, had flew into a jealous rage and killed her for having a villain's child.
Touya immediately took a liking to Sako, not that he would stop them but he was happy that they were happy together. Next he brought back Hikiishi Tamijiki, a trans girl who had been thrown out by her transphobic parents. Her, Toga, and Eri became best friends quickly. After that came Iguchi Shuichi, a boy who had been abandoned by his parents for his mutant looks, and Bubaigawara Jin, a boy who ran away after his parents died and his quirkless and quirk-hateful aunt and uncle got custody of him.
So now he had ten misfit teenagers. It was another year, when they were all fifteen that he was actually told what they should do now that they kids had finished their training: attack the USJ with them uninhibited. And it went relatively okay, save for the gunshot injuries the kids attained from his colleague, Snipe, and Chisaki having an anxiety attack afterward, crying and curling up in the corner, hiding away from the others. Kurono and Shimura sat with him, quiet and not touching him but close by, talking him through it, even with Shimura holding his shot left shoulder and Kurono nursing his ankle wound. Kurogiri was answering a call from Tomoko. She was angry, he could tell, but she was containing herself.
"Darling, what happened today? Why did I hear that a villain with a black mist-like portal Quirk attacked the USJ?" Her voice was tight and angry but she was seemingly trying to stay calm, likely because she was with the twins and their new son.
"Darling, it's nothing you should be concerned about." He kept his voice steady to hopefully bring some calm to their conversation.
"Not concerned? Kurogiri, I'm very concerned. The kids are concerned. Please just come home and explain this to the police and maybe they'll be lenient on you." She grit out.
"Tomoko, I can't." Gods it hurt to say. "Tomoko, I can't go back now and I know you're concerned but there's nothing you can do now either. I can't even control this now. I can't tell you why but I have to do this, for your safety and for the kids to be safe. I'm sorry but I need to do this." It hurt to hear her hiccup because he knew she was crying, knew he'd made her cry.
"Okay." She sniffled and he could sense her wiping her eyes. "I'm not mad. Kuro just...just please don't get hurt. Don't make Ayeka, Yamiyo, and Ahmya lose their father. Ahmya still needs you to show her how to work her Portal Creation." She was softer.
"I'm still sorry, Tomo. I wish it was different."
"I still love you, Kuro. No matter what."
"I love you too."
"I have to go. Pixie-Bob needs me." And she hung up. His heart felt like it had been stabbed even though it hadn't. He couldn't tell her why he was doing these horrible things. He hated not telling her.
"Was the mission successful, Blackmist?" Came All For One's voice from the transmission.
"No, sir."
"As expected. Where is the Nomu?"
"I couldn't locate his coordinates and so we had to leave him."
"Well, it's too late to mourn that. We have a strong team still. One that will bring AllMight to his knees. One that will grow soon." That didn't bode well. But he was too busy helping to care for the injured teenagers to really even care to hear the transmission even end. He silently mourned that he wouldn't be returning to teach his students at UA after the break, he'd be arrested immediately if he did. It hurt that he couldn't watch them progress in their goals of becoming heroes.

The story begins a few million years after the formation of Spherus Magna.
Inside the remnants of the great being robot, Makuta planted two canisters with his creations, two engineers that were made with the purpose of rebuilding the Makuta empire and rule the universe in the name of Teridax. Their name were Mysterio and Magnuros. Mysterio was a noble warrior that believed in inter-species equality and peace through unity, while Magnuros was a Tyrannic gladiator that believed in peace through tyranny and opression.
Mysterio was naive enough not to suspect his brother of any dark and devious plans. They both created 9 makuta together in the following order.
Zerkon(the prototype and most unstable mentally, sociopathic tendencies, considered to be the most dangerous)
Zinus(Zerkon's twin brother, calm and collected, could generate chains from inside his arms in a Spider-Man fashion)
Taknor(A brilliant scientist that has a bigger ego than himself, he granted himself powers by constantly upgrading his biomechanical body)
Voltrax(a honorable swordsman that believed in honor to the end)
Mesanok(A mutant with unstable powers, his right half was red and had explosive powers, his left half was green and could produce flamable acid)
"D'compose"(he was able to regenerate at a subatomic level and at a fast pace)
Xenoth(two headed and super strong) Rekan(much like Umbra , his feet had wheels that granted him super stregth
and Arana(the only female of the group, considered the weakest).
Mysterio eventually overheard his plan and decided to act against it by talking to the Great Spirit himself, being blessed with Teridax' Krahkaan, he was able to sneak inside the OoMN's Vault, without being detected. He communicated with Mata nui and was granted 8 elemental stones to create a new generation of toa.
Lancelot-Captain of the Ta-koro guard, born to be a warrior(Toa of Fire)
Sentinel-former archeologist, an advanced matoran prototype created by Arthaka himself(Toa of Iron)
Botan:former musician of the Le-koro choir, a treehugger at heart(Toa of Plantlife)
Korax: Chief Medical officer of the Ko-koro medical institute, he gained the ability to fly once turned into a toa in order to provide quicker medical assistance on the field(Toa of Ice)
Nidalee: she was a former Po-koro athlete with incredible fighting skills(Po-Koro)
Horvath: worked as an archer for the Ko-Koro defense team, incredible accuracy and calm under tough situations(Toa of Ice)
Luxanna: a biology teacher in Ga-koro, she admired Nokama's work and dreamed about becoming a toa herself someday , even though her kindness might give her a disadvantage.(Toa of water).
Suletu:probably the most loveable Le-koran, He used to be a bartender, very sociable and loyal to his people.(Toa of air)
On the course of 1 year he trained them to become warriors in every sort of the way. The OoMN lead by Helryx welcomed Mysterio and the new toa as their protectors.In the meantime, Magnuros assasinated Zerkon by shooting him in the back of the head since he became too self-aware and intelligent to manipulate, and disposed of his body by sending it to the southest continent.
Mysterio did however have an asset in the Makuta team, Arana has been secretly providing information about the grand return of the Makuta empire and the day of the attack
Everything went downhill in their clash. Half the toa team mysteriously(Horvath,Suletu,Luxanna and Sentinel) vanquished, the makuta were close to winning , the remaining 4 and Mysterio could barely hold eachother up. As Magnuros was about to shoot his brother down , Arana jumped in and took the blow full-on, dying on impact.That gave Mysterio the chance to strike by unleashing the demonic powers of his mask, leaving his older brother almost done for.
Magnuros: are you not going to finish what you started brother? Isn't this what you wanted
Mysterio: the universe is said to be impartial and in balance, however it always picks the good side of the spectrum...even if you think you are victorious....the universe will make it short-lived, farewell...until we meet again.
He left the makuta lair carrying Arana's body,followed by his remaining team, a scene that would haunt Magnetron for the rest of his existence.
Later on, after celebrating the bittersweet victory against the Makuta, The Great Spirit rewarded Mysterio's noble soul by rebuilding him into a Toa of Shadows because "Even Darkness, can create a path of Light"-MN-2011 years ASM(After Spherus Magna)
In the makuta lair, as Magnuros is recovering after the battle, his second in command welcomes his Fallen leader
Taknor:"You fought bravely my Lord, you've put quite a show"
Magnuros:"I do not need your pitty Taknor....It's time for things to change around here"
Taknor: "I'm glad we can agree...this will make things so much easier for me" *He takes Magnetron's sword and impales it's bearer owner right in the chest and through the Throne"
Magnuros: hanghh! W-what have you..done?!
Taknor: my maker...you are weak, you gave birth to such unique and twisted creations....but you...you are not worthy of leading our kind to Victory...I will not allow failure...for I shall take command of my brothers....
During the following 4 years, The OoMN created a task force lead by Sergeant Curanos Peddlestick, Super soldiers created from matoran volunteers with the purpose of becoming law enforcers and military teams for their Toa Generals , seeing as there aren't enough Toa to defend the whole matoran population(pretty much a Jedi-Clone Troopers relationship)
Although one of them wasnt that keen on Taking orders from toa, that being Vespirion , Lance's lieutenant. He became power hungry, so he decided to steal the mask of life and use it for "The greater good". However, the mask sensed his villanous tendencies and mutated him into a horrifying monster, able to control soundwaves and generate sonic pulses(since he was originally a matoran of sonics before recruitment). Not only that but the mask's power burst created a shockwave that spread over a radius of 1000 miles. So far it is yet unknown if it caused any damage. Sergeant Curanos spotted Vespirion and took him head on.
Serge: "you bit more than yer teeth could nibble on, ain't it lad?Look what greed brings ya. Yer mammy not gonna love that face , but don't'cha worry, after I'm done kicking yer bum, she won't even recognise ya"
The fight lasted quite a fair bit, until Serge gave him the final blow, Vespirion however managed to flee, despite his bad state.
After this incident, Helryx makes a disturbing statement: "To whoever decides to rebel against my will for peace, shall suffer grace consequences, today one of our most trusted soldiers became one of our greatest enemy, thus I want him to face justice accordingly. Once we find him, he shall be executed for his crimes"
The matoran society became disgusted by their supposed protector , claims such as "We are safe from others but not from her" and "Our Guardian is also our Executioner" sprouted an outrage , thus a lot of digging lead to exposing a lot of Helryx's shady acts during her time as head leader of the OoMN. The matoran demanded the choice of a new leader to go against her corruptive and manipulative ways. Thus the OoMN unanimously voted in favour of Mysterio as their leader due to his acts of bravery , selflessness and code of honor. Helryx was then exiled from the Matorans' land and found shelter on Arthaka's new island.
Later on , The Shadowed one sent a letter towards Taknor and the Makuta Brotherhood "I have a business Proposition for you and your Makuta, meet me at the coordinations on the back of the letter so we can discuss like two civilised beings". Of course, Taknor agreed to meet him, the location however was the Fortress of Odina itself(The new fortress got named after the island they were back in the days of the Matoran universe). However the meeting didn't go as well planned.
Taknor: "how could you possibly believe that we'd be interested in collaborating with low-lives like you, you are nothing but Spineless mercenaries"
Tso:"You dare insult me...right under the roof of my home, the place I welcomed you in as if you were part of our beautiful family, and you step on my generosity as if it were a rodent! Here's my current business proposition... I challenge you to fight me....If you win, this entire place and every non-living thing is all yours, but ....If I win.....all of you shall become my property....what do you say? 7 Makuta, against poor old me and 6 of my strongest Darkhunters..."
Taknor: "you've got a deal merchant..."
Unfortunately for Taknor, his cocky attitude ended up being his downfall. One by one his makuta were being heavily wounded by their Dark Hunter challengers. Taknor took a serious beating, Broken bones, massive open wounds, his right hand completely chopped off, he was the last one standing.
Tso:"I'm ready to claim my prize Taknor...I want to celebrate already...Quite admirable, you trully are the strongest amongst them...that's good enough for me, you'd make a great asset....Darkhunters, we have our Prize....Kill them all..."
Taknor:"I will not allow you to do such thing to my brothers! I will not stop fighting!"
Tso:"....but Spare Taknor....He is one of us now.....He will learn the hard way about how actions have consequences..."*with a quick swing of his staff , he knocks Taknor off his feet*"I want him fixed by tomorrow...His discipline lessons need no further delay"
As Taknor helplessly witnessed the execution of his brothers, He sworn to himself, that he will defeat his new Master and claim his empire for himself.
*on the course of this current year, a few more Darkhunters join the Darkhunter Legion*
Darkhunters so far :
-Daxidous
-Gazestealer
-Larsika
-Pelgrax
-Pincer
-Screecher
-Taknor
-Tetra
-Tyrannus
-Vespirion(found, repaired and recruited)
-Virus
With his men and women ready , Tso started the first phase of his plan to conquer the industry of Spherus Magna, that being "Intimidation". He sent his most trusted darkhunters to send havoc among 5 of the 6 regions of the new Island of Mata nui:
-"Screecher"-Bombed Le-koro with zamor spheres
-Pelgrax-Flooded Po-koro with his water powers
-Tetra-Sunk Ga-Koro with her brute strength
-Daxiodus- caused an avalanche over Ko-koro
-Vespirion- created a sonic pulse that collapsed Onu-koro's entire cave system.
They are known as the ,Darkhunter Justice Division"(DhJD for short)- this group, comprised of the most loyal hunters of the Shadowed one were trained to be capable of disposing of any darkhunters that turn or intend to turn against their leader, either through Rebellion,Lack of loyalty and beliefs of any kind.
Although the plan was a success, not all of them came back. During his Mission, Vespirion was directly confronted by his arch enemy, Sergeant Curanos Peddlestick and didn't make it out alive. Vespirion's lifeless body was found at the blocked entrace of the cave system.
The next day was to be the second phase of the plan, to slowly make the Matoran, toa and OoMN lose faith, the "Assault on Ta-koro" , where the Mask of Light is kept safe since Takanuva's passing into the afterlife.
Luckily the toa predicted their next move , so they gathered all in Ta-koro, together with their troops and Serge. But not even their assumptions were good enough, even though they had a strong number, that didn't help them.
The Darkhunters came well armed, plowing through their defenses with ease. As the toa and troops kept fighting , Tso kept making his way up to the tower. Right when the Darkhunters seemed to lose, a new face showed up , a darkhunter no one has seen before, he was very skilled, strong and vicious. He easily cut down the dozens of soldiers until he came face to face with The Sergeant himself, unfortunately, not even his years of military service kept him safe. Once he was weakened, the Darkhunter raised his wrist blade and with one fell swoop, cut his right forearm and right lower leg.
???: I have to admit full of regrer.. Sergeant...I expected a better fight
Serge: Tell me mistah smarty pants, who be the sonovabohrok Standing in front of me eye?
Scourge: I am Scourge, and my face is the last thing you'll ever see my Illiterate yet charming friend...
However two troops interfered , getting badly wounded by one of Scourge's landmines, giving Serge the time to shoot a harpoon that got it's rope tangled up on Scourge's foot sending him away at a safe distance. They both knew it won't be their last encounter. Scourge kept fighting until he got face to face with Mysterio, he was about to overpower the toa of shadows until a trooper pushed him out of harm's way, which sadly ended in the soldier's forearms getting severed  completely off.
Scourge:"This loyalty is admirable but that won't make me forgive you for what you've just done..."
In the meantime, Lance and Tso are having a serious beat down over the mask of light. Both are heavily wounded, most notably , Tso's tail has been completely ripped off by Lance's bare hands and sheer strength. And Lance has a big stab wound in his chest.
Tso: you have nowhere else to go toa...surrender the mask and I might let you leave
Lance: "I am a warrior till the end, but a repulsive creature like you Shadowed one is too low for that word...only someone as dishonorable as you would use their people for monetary gain...you did that with your own species...you enslaved the Steltians and killed your only friend..."
Tso: "<<Ancient>> had a painless death, you however will not!"
The shadowed one blows a hole in Lance's chest, making him loose balance and blood, he leans over the edge of the tower, and lets out one final battlecry"Unity....Duty....DESTINY!" he leans back and throws himself over the edge of the central tower , holding the mask of light tightly, with his final moments, he opens a portal using his Kualsi(mask of teleportation) and tosses the mask through it, in a safe place that only he knows of. As he plunges down the tower, all eyes are on him, toa, dark hunters matoran, all watch his body crash down lifeless.
The shadowed one orders the Darkhunters to fall back since Lance's final act turned their victory into defeat, but one thing's for sure, the toa suffered a lot of losses.
Mysterio:"how many were we before the attack?"
Korax: 2.000 troops, 5 toa, 21.000 matoran
Mysterio: afterwards?
Korax:"*sigh*..1995 dead troopers, 5 injuired badly....1 dead toa...4 alive...aand  50 mildly injuired matoran, no matoran casualties luckily.
Mysterio:"The remaining troops...I want names."
Korax:" Sergeant Curanos of Kini-nui-lost right arm and right leg , Lieutenant Herrandra of Ta-koro-she has a major concussion , Gravion of Po-koro-lost both arms , Rackus of Le-Koro- lost left arm from Scourge's grenade, Reiner of Le-koro lost his right arm to the same explosion"
Mysterio:"I want you to do everything possible to save their lives, and have Sergeant promote them to Members of the Order of Mata Nui"
Korax:" I'll do my best"
Mysterio:"Lance..."
Korax:" he died before his body hit the ground....in mid-fall....no matter how early we would've gotten to him...there was nothing we could've done..."
Mysterio:"I wish I could say that we don't have time to mourn our loses....but the sacrifice was too great...we need to pay tribute to the brave souls we lost today"

Germany's third gender law is celebrated as a revolution. But some say it's just the first step
By Nadine Schmidt and Kara Fox, CNN | Dec 29, 2018 | Posted December 29, 2018 |
Berlin (CNN) - By the time Lynn D. turned 2, he had already undergone seven surgeries. His childhood memories -- in the German states of Bavaria and Hesse -- were shaped by monthly visits to the doctor, where he says up to 50 researchers would observe examinations of his naked body.
When he reached puberty, Lynn was given growth blockers and high doses of hormones; as a teenager, he started self-harming, developed post-traumatic stress disorder and became suicidal.
Lynn, 34 -- who has asked CNN to identify him by his preferred name -- was born with both male and female sex organs. His doctors and parents decided shortly after he was born that his sex would be female, so his penis and testicles were surgically removed. His ovaries were also removed.
Doctors had told Lynn's parents the surgeries were preventative, citing concerns that he could develop cancer, but Lynn says there was no medical reason for him to be operated on and that the surgeries were carried out with a "dubious motivation."
"The doctors advised my parents not to tell me about my sex and simply raise me as a girl," Lynn told CNN. "And of course, it didn't work -- because I'm not a girl."
Lynn is intersex, an umbrella term used to describe a variety of conditions in which a person is born with reproductive or sexual anatomy that does not fit into binary definitions of female or male.
"I was labeled a girl; I wanted to be a girl and fit in -- but it did not work. I got along better with boys so I thought, 'I'm a boy'. But then I realized that I'm not a boy either ... boys also started to marginalize me. I did not have a good connection with my body and nobody helped me to establish a good connection with my body," Lynn said.
Lynn only learned that he was intersex during a therapy session at the age of 20. It was a revelation for Lynn, who had struggled to fit in with his peers for so many years.
While it helped him to move forward with his relationship with his own body, Lynn says it damaged his relationship with his parents.
"My body was changed so much to fit in -- whether it happened consciously or unconsciously. The whole experience broke my relationship with my parents. We still have not gotten over this yet," Lynn said.
When he first learned he was intersex, Lynn said, "it felt like as if someone said I am an alien, you are from someplace else. You are a mutant."
"It took me a while to come to terms with my diagnosis and for me to (come to) grips with it. But then I understood -- everything made sense to me. I no longer felt restless. Suddenly I understood who I was."
More than a decade later, Lynn said he has evolved into an "enormously happy" person, someone who is in a loving relationship with a woman, and who is fulfilled by a career in engineering and gigging in a punk band.
While Lynn said he accepts being called "him" for now, he wishes that there was a specific German pronoun to describe intersex people, and hopes that society will one day understand what it means to live outside of binary definitions of sex and gender -- and to accept intersex people for who they are.
A change to the German constitution could be the first step toward that recognition.
On January 1, Germany will become the first country in the European Union to offer a "third gender" option on birth certificates.
Intersex people -- and parents of intersex babies -- will be able to register as "divers," or miscellaneous, on birth certificates, instead of having to choose between male or female.
The law, passed in Germany's Bundestag earlier this month, was hailed as a "small revolution" by some intersex activists. It came after a 2017 constitutional court ruled in favor of an intersex person's right to change their birth certificate from female to "divers."
The court ruled that Vanja -- an intersex person who goes by a one-name pseudonym and uses the gender-neutral pronouns "they" and "them" -- had their "right to positive gender recognition" violated and found that the current law was unconstitutional.
Vanja, whose case was supported by advocacy group, "Dritte Option" or, the Third Option, told CNN that having to decide between being a woman or a man on official documents left them feeling "left out and overlooked."
While Vanja's official identification documents said they were female, this led to "a lot of irritations with people" because they presented -- or physically appeared in society -- as male.
Vanja initially considered changing their documents to male, but eventually decided that decision would devalue their identity, which is intersex.
"I thought to myself, if I am going at lengths to change something within the red tape system in Germany, I want to have something that suits me," they said.
Vanja plans to celebrate the new law by changing their birth certificate category to "divers" in the new year, calling it both a personal and a practical step.
"I asked myself so many times what it means to be intersex; I often was upset when I had to decide which box to tick -- male or female. I felt (like I was) being pushed into the corner, that I had to adjust non-voluntarily. I think it will give me a new feeling of peace," Vanja said, adding that they hope other countries in Europe will follow suit.
But, like many in the intersex community, Vanja believes the law is just a stepping stone.
"Societal acceptance cannot be mandated by a court ruling, but it is a step in the right direction," Vanja said.
Lynn agrees. While he also plans to register as intersex -- and to officially change his name to Lynn -- he said there are still many steps that need to be taken for intersex people to be "fully integrated into society."
Still, he is hopeful the new law will help to bring attention to the medical treatment of intersex people and open conversations for change.
'RITUALIZED , SEXUALIZED VIOLENCE '
Infants born with visible variations in their sexual characteristics, like Lynn, often undergo painful and irreversible surgery to give them the appearance of a conventional male or female gender, according to an Amnesty International report published last year.
The surgeries stem from a theory popularized in the United States in the 1960s by the psychologist John Money, who believed that an intersex person's make-up was a product of abnormal processes. Money believed that intersex people ought to become either male or female and as a result, were in need of medical treatment.
Although that theory is no longer widely accepted in the medical community, its "echoes can still be found within the medical establishment today," according to the Amnesty report, citing interviews with medical professionals across Denmark, Germany and the UK.
Those surgeries stripped Lynn of his bodily autonomy and left him with painful scars.
"When they (doctors and parents) talked about my body, I had to go out and leave the room. In hindsight, it was a practice I would now compare with a ritualized, sexualized violence. It was massively traumatizing," Lynn says of his childhood visits to the doctor.
A group of United Nations and international human rights experts called for "an urgent end to human rights violations against intersex children and adults" in 2016, calling on governments to ban harmful medical practices and protect intersex people from discrimination.
Between 0.5% and 1.7% of the global population are born with intersex traits, and are at risk of human rights violations that include surgery, discrimination and torture, according to the UN.
In July, a group of European medical experts published a set of new guidelines that urge doctors to defer medically unnecessary surgeries on intersex children until they are old enough to consent. The European consensus said: "For sensitive and/or irreversible procedures, such as genital surgery, we advise that the intervention be postponed until the individual is old enough to be actively involved in the decision whenever possible."
Grietje Baars, a senior lecturer at The City Law School in London, told CNN that while the new law demonstrates a "greater recognition of life beyond the binary," the "third gender" option doesn't go far enough to fully recognize gender diversity.
Under the new law, people wanting to change their birth certificate to read "divers" will only be able to do so with a medical certificate to prove it.
Baars -- who also goes by the gender-neutral pronouns, "they" and "them" -- says that requirement could subject intersex people, who often have a history of "traumatic medical interference with their genitalia" to additional trauma. Plus, Baars says, the medical requirement reinforces an antiquated definition of gender based solely on biology.
"You can not simply decide gender by looking at people's genitalia," they said, adding that it might be time to remove gender from official documents altogether. While Baars understands that this might sound radical, they argue that "abolishing gender registration does not mean abolishing gender as such."
"It's like abolishing registering your religion or race on your ID or documents -- it does not mean you can no longer be Catholic or black ... those things are not the same. I am just saying that it is no business of the state to register and categorize people in that manner," they said.
CHALLENGING SOCIAL NORMS
Although German law has allowed parents to leave the gender box blank on birth certificates since 2013 -- and this will still be an option under the new legislation -- some experts say parents will still be inclined to choose a more traditional approach, noting that in the two years after the blank box option came into effect, only 12 children were registered without a sex marker in the birth registry.
Anike Krämer, a Ph.D. candidate in gender studies at Germany's Ruhr-University Bochum, told CNN that she believes that parents of intersex children will have "difficulties" with the choices presented with the new law.

     💓 SEPTEMBER 17TH, 2018.  2 years of marriage.  4 kids. & 1 HAPPY LACHLAN FAMILY. 💓            ( @theimpalpable & @marvclgirl living happily ever after... & happiest of birthdays to Dom, the best father his kids could ever ask for!! )
If only you knew, the sunlight shines a little brighter. The weight of the world’s a little lighter. The stars lean in a little closer, ALL BECAUSE OF YOU.
     6 AM.  The alarm sounds to his loving Wife. She turns over in bed to see his spot is warmed, but that he is still probably out for his morning swim. Today there is no office visit. He needn’t go to work. It’s a day of celebration of commitment, love and birth! For the Lachlan family it’s one of the happiest days of the year, much like Christmas. Their own personal holiday. With a stretch and a sigh, Rachel pulls herself out of bed. She saunters over to the cradle where their sleeping newborn son is slumbering away. She peers downward with a gentle smile, admiring how his tiny chest rises and falls in sweet surrender to the dreams floating in his little mind. She’ll leave him be for now,  let him sleep and dress him later.
     It’s not too long after that Jonny comes barreling into the room just as Rachel secures her robe. The 8 year old knows precisely what today is, he has it marked in bright red lettering on the Toy Story calendar hanging in his room. Rachel raises her index finger reminding him to keep his voice down, for the sake of his baby brother. Jonny takes a moment to look into the cradle and smiles proudly. He nods at his Momma, but soon tugs her towards the hallway. Rachel makes sure that the monitor is on for the ability to hear when DJ stirs. Then, she quickly follows after their eldest. Together they visit the twins, who are at the ready, awake and vibrant, always up so early.       They’re almost two now, sleeping in their toddler-sized beds, and it’s almost unbelievable to Rachel.  Just how had she gotten so very lucky? Not only to discover the man of her dreams but to be able to provide him this gorgeous family. She knows that Domenic is nothing short of gloriously ecstatic, to now the home they created out of their found romance. LOVE is always at the center of their hearts and life.  And it is obvious by how their home functions. They’ve found their stride, and though some days are more difficult than others? They’ve found a happy pattern with one another. Rachel’s gotten more than used to his work outs and his necessity to clear his mind, and he’s been absolutely patient with her when she becomes overly controlling. It’s a terrible habit she has yet to dissipate, and at this point, it’s probably never going to be something she full tames. All she can do is trust the man she’s given her life, heart and happiness to. And, she does. Very much so. There is no one more perfect for her, in this life, than Domenic Lachlan.        “Well. Hello my darlings!” Rachel excitedly whispers, welcoming each of them into a hug. She giggles as she kisses their heads, full of vibrant scarlet locks much like her own, and her sweet James, looking so much like his daddy. “C’mon now. We are going to have some breakfast and decorate for Daddy, yeah??” They follow their big brother carefully down the stairs. Rachel rarely uses her ‘power’s these days, though occasionally she’ll get clever. It’s mostly because she’s worried about being found, and also, she can’t stomach the migraines she’ll potentially encounter when using her telepathic abilities She takes greatest caution when it comes to her family. They’re her everything and she will never allow them any harm. Especially because she’s still uncertain whether or not any of their children are mutants like her. Most of the time the mutations don’t surface until puberty, but on occasion, as with Rachel, they can pop up one day. Therefore, she always has a wary eye. No matter what, of course the children will be endlessly loved and protected, human or mutant. This is her family. Her beautiful, wonderful family.        Rachel provides a hearty breakfast with pancakes and bacon and fresh fruit. She helps them assemble streamers and the big sign that says “HAPPY BIRTHVERSARY!!” in glorious bold gold lettering. She gets the bright balloons together, and sets out the cake she’d prepared. With it being their 2nd year of marriage, she’d fashioned brand new pillows for their couch with each of their children’s foot and hand prints ironed onto the cotton surfaces. They perfectly match the “I do.”  sign she had made when they bought their new house.        When everything feels just right, it’s time to get dressed for the day. She allows Jonny to pick his own clothes while she helps the twins get washed up and ready for the day. And the comes little DJ whom is also so fussy and hungry. Just after she’s gotten herself all dolled up, she sits in the rocking chair and nurses their sweet baby boy.       Their timing happens to be on point, for a change, with 4 children it gets a little difficult to get the day flowing smoothly. Perhaps it is the fact that today means so much, that it feels far more magical and laced together. Just as Dom enters the home, Ray descends the stairs carrying DJ, Jonny and the twins are noisily playing in the living room. Rachel greets her husband with a fond kiss right upon the lips and a bright smile. “Happy Birth-versary, Mr. Lachlan.”
This is your kingdom, This is your crown, This is your story. This is your moment, Don’t look down.

My ocs explained: Voidverse
A friend of mine asked me to tell about my ocs, and since there a lot of them and this will be long and tumblr messages won't let me send the whole thing, so I decided to make a post dedicated to it.
This post won't have pictures of my ocs because I'm lazy, but if you're interested there's a tab on my blog called "My characters", which has their pictures and their tags.
So, to get the more complicated things cleared out, I have this group of characters I call the "alts", basically, they're alternate versions of myself. One is always based on an aspect of my personality, which I then turn into said alt. A new one is usually born whenever I make one for a new fandom or universe.
Ps. This isn't all of them, there are a few minor characters and wips that I left out because this would become waaayyyy longer than needed. These characters belong in a group I call the "Voidverse", which are the characters that I consider to be the main characters of this storyline (some of my ocs live in different realms and realities, etc). I might make another oc megapost about the other verses if you guys want.
~~~~~~~
Classic the Demon (he/him), 24
My "main" alt, who is also my persona on the internet is called Classic the Demon (they all have nicknames since most of them usually share my name). Classic is kinda the leader of the alts, he's the one who usually gets to join a new verse if I haven't made a new alt specifically for that verse.
Classic's powers include telekinesis, teleportation, offensive spells and the summoning of a weapon (in this case; a sword) and a pair of wings. Classic has this so-called "pocket dimension" that he accesses via his magic. This dimension is where he stores a bunch of random stuff from clothing to food to sketchbooks. Also, because he's so extra, whenever he summons his sword he kinda swipes his right hand from left to right once while his sword materializes from dark energy, just for dramatic flair.
Like most demons, Classic is also capable of collecting souls through contracts, though Classic had "retired" from doing said contracts.
Classic was born in a Renaissance-era like time period in a small hidden village of demons. The village was very small with only a few houses and a post office. Classic's family consisted of Classic himself, his mother and father. Although his father had left when Classic was an infant for an unknown reason. Therefore Classic was solely raised by his mother.
Classic's only friends in the village was another boy his age named Eemeli and a person called "the Guard". The Guard lived at the edge of the small town, whose job was to protect it from the dangers of the grand forest right next to them. Classic looked up to the Guard, for she was one of the strongest people he knew. His favourite memory of her was when she fought a bear with her bare hands.
Eemeli, on the other hand, was an adventures child much like Classic, though not as reckless. He had a family of two (2) parents and four (4) siblings.
(But of course, because this is a character made by yours truly, there is a lot of edge and angst)
At the age of 13, Classic's village was attacked by a troupe of human soldiers. They burned the houses and slaughtered the people. With the help of his mother, he had survived. Classic had passed out during the attack and once he woke up he couldn't believe his eyes. Everything was destroyed and burnt to the ground, including the people he held so near and dear to his heart. Classic didn't know what to do, so he wandered aimlessly until he reached a town of humans. Traumatised and blinded by hate, he killed everyone and anyone he saw and when he reached the castle he stabbed the king to death with a dagger that had appeared in his hands, which would later on, as he got older, form into the dark sword that it is today.
Classic was "rescued" by a group of angels and was brought into their home in the sky. No, not heaven, but a floating island. He hadn't told them exactly what happened, not that he was all that able to because of the shock of it all. Though the angels did not press on the subject, clearly aware of his discomfort.
The family he was living with had one (1) child, Ale, a pink haired angel with greenish eyes. The two of them instantly became close friends and through that friendship considered each other siblings. Growing up in a community of angels as a demon was tough, but most of them were very accepting of Classic.
Though, with time he became restless. He wanted to go somewhere, do something. But he didn't know where nor what.
At the age of 19, Classic and Ale packed their bags and went to see the world. And through this adventure, they became face to face with Death, literally. On their adventure, Ale had been hurt severally and Classic in desperation tried with all his might to help them. He turned to soul stealing harvesting and contract work to earn currency, souls paid well with witches and faeries. Unfortunately, he couldn't earn enough in time or get any help. Ale had died of sickness and Classic ever since blamed himself.
His journey alone took him to many places, but he was always alone. Until he met a certain someone, but more about that later.
Classic himself is a cocky yet charming personality, not really in love with himself but absolutely adores praise and loves being in the spotlight (when he wants to, otherwise attention from a lot of people make him anxious). He's the one I made the most like myself, so ultimately he has the same issues; depression, anxiety, ADD and sociopathic tendencies. Of course, pretty much every alt have more or less these traits, some show them more, some don't.
He's a loyal friend and cares for his loved ones, good with a sword and has good problem-solving skills and critical thinking, but he lacks the sense of responsibility sometimes and gets very paranoid about not being good enough. He's very forgetful and has a hard time understanding complex things like math, geology and physics but has a talent for arts, language and philosophy. He's not in touch with his owns feelings but can tell when someone else is upset, anxious or lying. He's very unused to affection and compliments, often deeming himself not worthy of them but tries his best to stay positive.
Jojo (he/they), 23
Jojo is an easily excitable and reckless half-dead demon living in a post-apocalyptic setting. Jojo doesn't have magical abilities, though, they lost them alongside his horns and tail after committing suicide before he was brought back to life.
He likes brights colours, stuffed animals, motorcycles and most importantly; explosives.
Jojo had lost a part of their hearing and vision to a malfunctioning bomb, had been lucky that in a tight spot the last of his magical ability had protected all but a small portion of the side of his head, face and neck.
His left leg was lost in a fight. Jojo had seen a young girl being kidnapped, followed the kidnappers and fought them, rescuing the kidnapped children and losing his leg to an axe. This had happened before the war.
Even in crude conditions, Jojo believes that positivity can get you through anything. His blatant naïtivity can often cause him to trust the wrong people but make no mistake, Jojo is no fool and can quickly regain his composure and build up his walls. Jojo is a very social person and can easily get along with anyone, although can sometimes get a tad too excited and accidentally say and do something rather awkward. They always try to make up for hurt feeling, tough. Jojo is also big on taking risks and can often put themselves in dangerous situations.
As mentioned previously Jojo is a bomb fanatic and loves explosives and explosions. He taught himself to make his own bombs and frag launcher, many of which malfunctioned in various ways.
He doesn't remember much about his childhood, his memory fading alongside the scars on his body. He just remembers having a good family and he's fine with that. Jojo is also one of the only alts who drinks and smokes (they smoke pot, don't like cigarettes much). He's overall a pretty chill dude when he's not jumping from place to place and blowing stuff up.
He's also the one who shows the most clearly symptoms of ADHD.
He's a smart boy who's a bit clumsy sometimes.
A wholesome boy. A very sweet boy.
Invite him to every party because he's never been to one but really wants to. Good with kids, animals and knows how to make broccoli taste good. (Not good with elders and other fragile things that break easily)
10/10
282-J aka J/Jay (they/them), 22
282-J, the one that is actually not even a demon.
J's power is "teleportation" via light. They can turn themselves into light particles and move a few meters to the direction of their choosing. So J cannot use this power in places without some kind of light source, though the illumination of a phone or TV, etc, is not enough. J also cannot move through solid matter, like walls and doors.
 J was born into "captivity" in a science lab (Oh, yes, it's "science labs are evil" trope time!). This science lab was fixated on mutants and mutation, so I relate J to the Marvel universe (because X-Men).
From birth J had lived in that facility, being experimented on every single day. Some weren't bad, like seeing how long of a distance J can teleport for example, but some are excruciating, as when J would go days without being fed or being locked in a dark and tight room for weeks, even months! It all took its toll on J's fragile body.
Once the lab crew injected an adrenaline type drug into J's bloodstream and locked him in a small room for three (3) days straight, when a staff member was sent to retrieve J's seemingly passed out body, they had bitten into the man's arm and in response got an elbow to the chest. J coughed up blood and couldn't breathe, actually passing out this time. When J woke up they were in their own room; padded, white walls and the one-way glass in front. J felt their own breath on their face and when J reached to touch their own face, they felt what seemed like a gas mask of sorts and tried to fumble with it to take it off. The voice from the speakers told that the gas mask had two (2) benefits; it restrained J from biting the staff again and it kept J, themselves, alive. Apparently one of J's lungs had received a lot of damage from the incident and the lab crew could not entirely fix it, so a special gas mask would have to do.
J is very timid and does not speak often nor raise their voice. They're very awkward in social situations and get overwhelmed by large groups of people and loud noises. Though J can be brave and courageous when they want to and they're also a quick thinker and rather clever.
Cappy the Capricorn (she/her), 300+
Ah, yes, Cappy the Capricorn- or Cappy the Zodiac demon. The one person you wouldn't invite to your family gatherings.
She is a Zodiac demon and her powers focus mostly on controlling the water element. Another skill of her's is knowing how to cut her own hair using seashells and other sharp objects found on the seafloor. She's a very calm person with a professional-seeming personality, but she can be a bit "inappropriate", so to say.
She's a siren-like creature and when underwater her legs turn into a fishtail. She very much enjoys tricking unsuspecting men into their tombs and seducing women into sleeping with her, though to the fair lass she shall do no harm (In other words; she's a lesbian). Her magic is very powerful, but she isn't a fighter- she doesn't want to waste her time on petty brawling. Although if not left alone when asked, she won't hesitate to use violence as her saviour.
Unfortunately, there isn't much to tell about her background, for it does not exist because I am a lazy sonovabitch who doesn't think through their characters' backstories.
But Cappy is not really that much of a "macho sex object with no personality" (I hope), for in actuality she's a real softy. She's all smooth and clever in seduction and all that sexy stuff, but when a cute girl compliments her, she blushes like crazy and gets all flustered. If she ever would develop a crush on some poor soul, that poor soul would have to deal with a very nervous and stuttering mountain sea goat.
From 1 to 10 I'd rate Cappy a 5/10 on the friendship scale. Not that she's an evil person or whatever, she just doesn't know how to properly act around people (living at the bottom of the sea for hundreds of years will do that to ya, I suppose...). She, however, is very supportive and helpful whenever the people she considers her friends are having a hard time (especially about their own appearance, she ain't having none of it).
The Voidkeeper (she/they), ???
The Voidkeeper, the eldest one- mostly because their age cannot be comprehended for it simultaneously does and does not exist.
The Voidkeeper is half-blind, half-death and selectively mute. She is also a sociopath and does not feel empathy nor sympathy (or feelings, at all).
And most important, they are dead. I mean no heartbeat, rotten insides, dried out blood kind of dead.
She was banished to what is called the Void when she committed suicide. See, demons cannot be killed, only trapped in artefacts or returned to the Underworld, but a demon has the ability to take their own life, but it is not without punishment. When a demon commits suicide they are banished and assigned to a task which they will carry out for the rest of eternity. This one was assigned to look after the Void, a fruitless task for it is empty and barren. The only thing that happens is that every millennia a new book appears in the Void to give some sort of entertainment to the Voidkeeper.
On very rare occasion a poor soul might accidentally either wander or be sent to the Void and it is the Voidkeeper's duty then forward to guide the wanderer where they were supposed to go. Every time something, or someone, appears in the Void the Voidkeeper is alerted by the soul stone they carry. This stone, as prompted by the name, is in a way the Voidkeeper's soul, which they cannot ever regain. It is their life source and their source of power. The Voidkeeper is not allowed to ever be violent, so the soul stone only grants them defensive powers. In this case the ability to heal and create protective forcefields.
The Voidkeeper cannot physically ever enter the realm of the living, but with the aide of someone very powerful, they are granted to walk amongst the living as a ghost of sorts. They, however, cannot be touched by the living.
The Voidkeeper is very silent and intelligent. They know more than you'd expect, but will never tell you what you want to know. Only what you need to know, which in itself is not much. She prefers to observe others as they go about their life whenever she isn't reading, other than that there isn't much to her.
Inquisitor Lotus Draqon (he/him), 23.5
The alt for the da:i fandom and my most recent alt.
He's very peculiar in the sense that he was born from the merged souls of Classic and a dragon called Jupiter. No one is sure how this happened but one-day Classic had disappeared. It took a long time to find where he was and the answer was very surprising.
Now with his soul living in as in another person's body, Classic was trapped in a frozen state in another pocket dimension with Jupiter. This meant that as long as Lotus was intact or alive, Classic would not himself be present and neither would Jupiter.
Classic's soul gave Lotus many of the abilities that he himself has, telekinesis, illusion magic, weapon and wing summoning, etc. And Lotus as a person is fairly similar to Classic, some of the differences being Lotus' dragon attributes; his scales, tail, the sword is rather different, bigger horns and bigger wings (and a bigger appetite).
Lotus is also more innocent leaning and shyer. And unlike Classic, isn't such a good swordsman (he gets better with time tho).
Similarly to Classic, Lotus isn't very independent and often depends a lot on the people around him for help and advice. They both also have a giant sweet tooth and love animals. And they both stutter, have trouble pronouncing some words and have motor and verbal ticks (whenever Lotus yawns, burps, gets excited, happy or is frightened he goes "woof!", Classic just makes weird demon noises. Their motor ticks are pretty much the same, twitchy hands, neck and whole damn body).
Though Lotus is more prone to seek out simulation, tapping his claws against a table, playing with his hair and tail and pressing his toe beans. Classic mostly plays with his hair and his shirt sometimes. Also because of dyslexia, they both often have jumbled words when speaking, though with Lotus it's stronger and for him, reading is harder. Lotus is more willing to take risks and go out on an adventure, he has very strong legs and wings that can carry him for hours. And in general Lotus' health is better than Classic's, he's learned to cope with his problems better and cares for himself more.
Also, laser pointers totally work on him.
~~~~~~~
Now, let's get to the other characters in my verse.
Katy Huerta (she/her), 38-41
A retired Special Task Force agent called back on the field after suspicious and unknown signals had started appearing out of nowhere. They were most likely of a supernatural origin and agent Huerta was assigned on the job. Katy is a skilled and headstrong woman with experience with supernatural forces. As a young child, her body is shared by her and a power fire spirit. She can control fire and use it as a weapon, as well as turn into fire herself.
Turns out that classic had been causing waves of magic which turned to signals as he made his way to this world and travelled around it. At the time he was 19 years old. Katy wasn't sure how to approach him as she found him walking around abandoned buildings but she knew she couldn't kill or arrest him, he hadn't done anything wrong. So she took him in. Taught him, mentored him, took care of him. Katy doesn't have much knowledge about magic but she taught him how to use his sword, how to use his mind and how to use his heart. Classic would follow her around like a puppy, mostly because HQ didn't fully trust a demon to walk around by himself. They respected Katy a great deal, but we're very unsure of this decision. Katy didn't care, though, she was sure. Katy's heart is as big as her muscles and just as strong, she never gave up on that boy and she's glad she didn't. She found a lifelong friend and a trusted partner. She was like a mother to him.
Katy is what I like to call the "bridger", she's usually the bridge between the different universes and dimensions. I gave her full knowledge of the different alts, what they are and what they mean. Whenever there's a new alt, she informs the others and looks over the new one, deciding whether or not they should be cautious and stay away or if they can be invited to the "inner circle".
The day when Classic had his soul transferred and himself trapped was something Katy wasn't sure how to take action, she had no idea who "Lotus" was and what kind of alt they were (you can never know, even the nice sounding ones can be mean and the world they live in might not be able to handle Katy's presence). She took a risk and bridged into the world of Thedas to handle the situation.
Coraline Daniel (she/her), 65.5
The pretty typical vampire oc, I'd say.
Coraline is a carefree soul who enjoys being a mysterious shadow in the back of people's minds. One day she's here, another day she's gone. She doesn't burn in the sunlight but her powers weaken a lot, which includes mind control, teleportation and flight.
A true lady and a primadonna; never settles for second best, Coraline is a beauty and rarity and uses it to her advantage. Many people are slow to notice she's already sucking the blood out of their veins, her victims helplessly falling into her traps and under her spell.
All except one.
Agent Katy Huerta; the STF's favourite puppet; a saviour; a righteous knight; a woman of high regard and the only one to catch Coraline's eye. She had been assigned to search for the reason behind recent murders (Coraline's doing, of course) and had successfully tracked the culprit down. Coraline was surprised that her normal tactics hadn't worked and this piqued her interest. Ever since their first meeting, they seemed to bump into each other quite often. It was a classic game of cat and mouse, with a lot more flirting though. And they both seemed to enjoy it.
Coraline could never trap her and she could never catch Coraline in return. Neither of them wanted to. Or did, but the meaning behind it had changed.
Katy would track the vampire to her next destination, catch her red-handed, they'd fight, steal kisses in between and Katy would watch her disappear into the night. It became routine, tradition. Routine was broken when Katy asked her for a date before she could run off again, caught by surprise but regaining composure Coraline accepted. Katy brought her a silver ring as a gift to their date, it was a simple gesture that meant something more to them both.
Akachi (they/them), 12
Akachi was found in Western-Africa, alone and unconscious in a cryochamber at an old hospital. The child was in a deep coma and appeared to have lizard-like attributes. Files showed that they were there because of an illness that threatened to take their life, but nothing else could be recovered.
The STF team took them back to America to take care of them, but no one was sure what should be done. Should they be given up for adoption? Surely that couldn't be safe for the child. Luckily STF's golden girl Katy Huerta stepped up to take care of the child, adopting them. The child's name is Akachi, was what she was told, they were found abandoned and appear to be intersex. And so the child was given in to her care. Once home, Classic had been very curious about the child. They decided to take care of Akachi together.
Back then Akachi had been just 4 years old and they didn't appear to have any memories before the hospital, so adapting wasn't the most difficult thing. Akachi is a gentle soul and a very curious child, very imaginative. Akachi was placed in a special program when starting school, normal school being a distant thought but they got there eventually.
Akachi is very excited about new things, very excited to learn and experience things. Although Katy tries to keep them away from tough adventures, sometimes by accident a certain demon cannot resist the puppy-eyes. Akachi is all too happy to meet new people, they always dream of having a big family and they do consider the alts to be family.
Elizabeth Hart aka Wolfy Heart (she/her), 27
Quite literally my oldest oc, I'm fairly sure that Wolfy was the first oc that I ever made and she's come such a long way since then.
Wolfy is the daughter of a rich German family, not that it matters but I'm just laying down random facts at this point, she grew up fairly similarly to everyone else though, she wasn't spoiled and her parents were very good at parenting and were decent people.
Wolfy is a very motherly person and takes care of her friends a lot, she loves socialising and cooking and is very good at playing the harp. She's very curious and blushes easily, she's very modest. She likes spending time with animals and children and is very creative and fashionable. She's compassionate and wants what's best for everyone, she's a little naïve in that sense.
Wolfy had been good friends with Katy (through a mutual friend) even before Classic came around. And Wolfy was more than happy to welcome him with open arms and warm cupcakes! Wolfy's also like an aunt to Akachi who she also welcomed with open arms and warm cupcakes.
Idk dudes I love Wolfy, she's been there for me through many years and seen some shit, she's amazing, she sometimes makes her own clothes and really likes turtles.
Quality werewolf, would bark again
Katja Storm aka Kstorm (mostly she/they but he is also fine), 30
Kstorm is also a very old character of mine (like Wolfy and Katy), she's been through many changes and I'm finally happy with where she is!
Kstorm is the oldest of (3) three children, she's half Spanish half Korean and she's a DJ and quite enjoys making music. I imagine her style is similar to Porter Robinson but maybe a bit more bass heavy (I just love Porter Robinson y'all)
She's dating a girl named Kayna (Kstorm calls her Kaykay uwu), who's best friends with Wolfy and by correlation, she got invited to the Cool Kids club B)
Kstorm herself is a witch and when Classic came around she got pretty excited (but like low-key, cuz she's cool like that), tbh Kstorm was a big help with assisting Classic to handle and control his magic. While Katy is very agitated about spreading the knowledge about bridging and the alts, but she trusts this group of people.
Kstorm doesn't go on adventures or jump through dimensions much, too busy working but she asks to get herbs and cool artefacts and talismans whenever the others do go.
Kstorm is a cool and collected person, she doesn't like drama and doesn't want to make a big deal out of things, especially if it isn't. She went to medical school to become a nurse before turning into a fulltime DJ and she often puts together charity events at the club she performs at. She's generally loved by her community, though there has been drama and people trying to ruin her name. She lost some of her fans after coming out as genderfluid and pansexual but regained a large following of very supportive followers and fans.
Taika (they/them), ???
Taika is a tall, cat-like forest spirit who came from a very monochrome and old realm, they came to the human realm to experience colour, loudness and life for what it could be.
They don't have a mouth (or nose) so they can't speak and when they were born their limbs were deformed so now they have prosthetic arms and legs (luckily the forest spirits are pretty handy).
Taika is a very innocent and optimistic creature, very curious about humans and other beings.
Taika especially loves a lot of what humans have created and relishes in their culture with loud music, dyed hair, ripped jeans and technology.
Now, Taika doesn't really belong in the Voidverse, but I love them so much that I had to mention them cuz they're literally so precious.

Fortnite is modern day card collecting, and we love it!
Fortnite is “modern-day card collecting”, and we love it!
It’s true, Fortnite is modern-day card collecting and we absolutely love it.
Yep, Fortnite Chapter 2 has drawn new gamers in, all because of thousands of people staring a black hole for 2-days.
The hype is there and we don’t see that changing anytime soon.
While Pokemon cards and Yugioh cards are mostly a thing of the past for most people, Fortnite is dominating the gaming industry.
In fact, it’s almost like collecting your favorite past card games or even pogs.
Isn’t it true that we spent between 6.50-100 bucks for certain collections and decks?
Unfortunately, there are people out there who say the game is addicting in a negative way.
Although, it’s not much different from collecting basketball cards, baseball cards, Pokemon cards or dare I say POPS?
Fortnite Chapter 2
Fortnite Chapter 2 is absolutely amazing and it’s been a huge turn for Epic.
I mean… people watched a black hole for days and couldn’t wait to “drop into a new world,” as epic showed on their website, getting players pumped to check out the new island for Fortnite Chapter 2.
Tumblr media
DROP INTO A NEW WORLD CHOOSE YOUR LANDING SPOT AND EXPLORE AN ALL-NEW ISLAND FEATURING 13 NEW LOCATIONS.
The Fortnite Chapter 2 map has some interesting locations and a lot of exploring, which you earn XP for simply by discovery. The XP earned through playing allows you to earn new Fortnite skins, emotes, and gear to show off in the game.
Since Fortnite’s birth, you have been able to buy what’s called a battle pass, allowing you to earn additional XP leading to even more rewards.
As mentioned above, it’s comparable to collecting cards before the millennials switched things up, and it’s crazy to see how much has changed, don’t you agree?
Fortnite creates new friendships
Whether you choose to play Fortnite or Save The World, you’re still going to be gaming with others (if you choose to fill your squads up with stranger friends). Further allowing you to talk with, laugh, dance and share emotes in a build while spray painting together before your final attack in order to be the last to survive.
Fortnite has always been a game that brings people together. The game has even brought families together, playing in the same room, rather than just staring at Snapchat they get to attempt survival on the island, laugh, scream and maybe cry a little when defeated (at least I do).
Fortnite World Cup 2019: Building better and faster!
Indeed, Positive Celebrity has made a few friends while visiting Twitch and playing Fortnite’s Save The World. We’ll just call him M-Dawg but he’s one of the good guys in the game and we’re thankful for his friendship!
What is the prize for winning the Cup?
Being that you can win a huge prize of up to 10 million-dollars, teens, and adults play in the contender league which now includes, solo or squads (a team of up to four).
In fact, the game is now considered an e-sport! According to TechCrunch, there have been some major wins in contender leagues, in Fortnite Season X.
“The big winner in today’s solo challenge was 16-year-old Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf, who won $3 million for beating out the competition in the solo tournament. And, as sports writer Darren Rovell noted on Twitter, Giersdorf’s prize pool is only $850,000 smaller than the pot for the winner of the U.S. Open, which is set to begin in a few weeks at the same stadium.
Indeed, the esports prize pool is one of the biggest awards for a popular competitive event. Wimbledon winners took home less than $3 million and Tiger Woods won $2 million for besting the field of competitors at the Masters.”
Fortnite Save The World
Fortnite Save The World lets gamers go through different missions all while battling some intense zombies.
You get different rewards that help you progress in the game but it takes a lot of time and grind to achieve and complete the game as a whole. But it’s also a lot of fun because you can team up with a squad in Fortnite Save The World as well.
If you purchase Fornite Save The World before it’s release then you do get a couple of perks and couple skins with a pickaxe. I personally thought it was worth it.
Fortnite Save The World has been growing over the last few months with more and more players.
With that in mind, there’s an interesting phenomenon happening in that game, where players will attempt to scam new players into dropping their loot, mats, and guns, so never just join in and go into what’s called a “trade box,” you are likely about to get scammed.
Fornite Save The World scams are popular enough that I will say there are some YouTube heroes out there protecting the squad.
These YouTubers will go into Fortnite Save The World and essentially “scam the scammer,” my nephew was the first to show me the videos and they are hilarious, check some of them out below.
You will laugh, the scammers who get scammed for their crime end up watching their weapons get destroyed, leading to screaming and crying, and even attempts at saying their “cousin works at epic,” absolutely hilarious.
youtube
Fortnite Rare Skins and more
The Fortnite “rare skins,” are exactly like collecting holographic Charizard Pokemon cards. For example, the Fornite skins today have dropped and they include the one, the only Skull Trooper.
Skull Trooper is just one of the most popular skins to have and we have no doubt that almost everyone who can afford has bought it.
They even have the Skull Trooper dressed as a female, catching the eye of those looking for Fortnite girl skins.
Skull Trooper officially has a girlfriend and her name is Skull Ranger.
Positive Celebrity Exclusive: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle’s Peter Renaday talks TMNT, charity and more!
Fornite skins in Chapter 2 have included a bunch of fun Halloween editions as well, so be sure to log in and check them out every 24-hours a new set of skins, gliders, emotes and axes arrive into the Fortnite item shop.
Be the first of your squad to collect the skin, and be sure to let us know which ones you’ve loved the most in Fortnite Chapter 2.
What is Fortnite Chapter 2 and the new world?
Basically, there are many theories right now trending on Google about Fortnite Chapter 2 and it’s a new world.
As a matter of fact, the whole map seems to be some kind of base, which also includes a bunker and the very house of “the visitor,” which will likely make more sense as we progress through the season.
Not to mention, The Visitor in Fortnite X is the one who caused all the chaos and led us into Fortnite Chapter 2. As a matter of fact, we did not think we’d be able to visit his actual home on the new map.
Further, the house is filled with memorabilia from Fortnite Season X, as he’s brought many souvenirs with him, including the clock from titled towers, a statue from Sunny Steps, and according to Forbes there’s even a hidden basement.
“In terms of his general living space, he has his control center in a secret basement you have to break through either the floor or a cabinet to access.”
Besides, it’s a pretty interesting storyline and as it’s as though we are part of “the movie,” and being able to watch the LIVE events make the game feel even more interactive for Fortnite gamers.
Celebrities who are playing Fortnite Chapter 2!
Richard Tyler BelvinsBen Simmons Lil Yachty Deadmau5 Karl-Anthony Towns Travis Scott Finn Wolfhard David Price Gordon Hayward Chance The Rapper Richard Sherman Gordon Hayward Drake Joe Jonas Norm Macdonald Derek Carr
youtube
Be sure to add us! We love to give free skins away on Twitch!
To end, we’re pretty excited to see what else Epic has in store for us regarding Fortnite.
Finally, feel free to let us know what you think about the Fortnite Chapter 2 in the comments below.
Blessed be.

***All images are under copyright to Marvel Characters, Inc***
On October 1st, 1985, Marvel Comics released issue 269 of The Amazing Spider-Man. Fourteen days later, I was born. You might be asking yourself, “what do those things have to do with one another?” I’m here to tell you that they have absolutely nothing to do with each other. An interesting thing to me is that while I was a big Superman fan growing up, I always seemed to identify with Peter Parker/Spider-Man. The reason why this specific issue of The Amazing Spider-Man being released just two weeks before my birth is interesting to me is because it has more to do with who I am today and the struggles I face with my mental health.
Before we get into this specific issue of The Amazing Spider-Man, I want to challenge you to find a comic book that you feel shares a connection with your struggles. For me, it was very cathartic and eye opening to make the connections that I made between Peter and myself. Remember, even in comics, most of the heroes are flawed just like you and me and they will deal with these issues in similar ways to us.
Issue 269, Burn Spider Burn, takes place shortly after the events of the Beyonder and Secret Wars 2, It starts with the character Firelord, a former herald of Galactus, flying through space trying to outrun his own demise. After escaping death, Firelord decides to visit the closest planet to him while he contemplates his next move. The planet he chooses to visit is a planet that he has been to before, and that planet is Earth.
Firelord is feeling famished after his journey through space, so he starts looking for a bite to eat. All of the sudden he spots a big sign for Tony’s Pizza and he decides that Tony’s Pizza is where he is going to eat. The comic then cuts to Peter having a family dinner with his Aunt May and some other relatives. As they prepare to eat, a fearmongering news report about the “rise of mutants” airs. Peter excuses himself to the kitchen to help Aunt May.  While helping May, Peter’s Spidey Sense (Peter Tingle) goes off with such an intensity that he believes the Beyonder is back. Meanwhile, a misunderstanding takes place between Firelord and the owner of the pizza shop. The earthlings have seen the report about mutants and they believe Firelord is a “mutie”, so they hatch a plan to attack Firelord, who fights back.
Eventually, Peter shows up in his black Spidey suit to save the humans and to do battle with Firelord. After a tough battle, Peter decides that he is no match for Firelord, so he makes the decision to enlist the help of the Avengers or the Fantastic Four. Peter starts making his way toward the HQ of the Fantastic Four before he remembers that their HQ was destroyed a few weeks prior. Peter starts thinking about how to get to Avengers Tower without Firelord spotting him. After much considerations Peter comes to the conclusion that the only way he can get back up is if he were to travel to Avengers Tower as Peter, not Spidey. While changing, Peter notices that his wallet was on the ground. As he picks up the wallet, it opens to a picture of Peter, May, and Uncle Ben. He thinks of the possibility of Firelord going “berserk” when he is not able to find Spider-Man and how that could lead to harm or the death of innocent people. Peter then decides that the best course of action is to take the fight to Firelord because he doesn’t want to “duck out on his responsibilities,” and because he didn’t want anyone to die because he failed, because he was afraid.
After reading all of that, you might be wondering, “what does this have to do with mental health?” Well, when I was reading this comic and when I got to the part about Peter wanting to take off the suit and run from Firelord incognito, it reminded me of how I’ve always dealt with my anxiety. To me, Firelord represents my anxiety. No matter how hard I fight, I never feel strong enough to win. I take off my suit and run from my anxiety on a regular basis and I watch as my anxiety hurts those who are closest to me. I ducked out and failed because I was scared. After reading this comic, I realized that I want to put the suit back on. I want to take the fight to my anxiety, even if I feel like I’m not in the same weight class as the Avengers or the Fantastic Four.

INTERVIEW with CARtoons magazine Publisher & Editor-in-Chief Marc Methot
Tumblr media
Chet Reams: First off, can you tell us a bit about your background?
 Marc Methot: My background is pretty simple. Born and raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. Just 40 minutes north of the Minnesota border. Growing up, art was my major, but never pursued it because life got in the way when I got older. I was always told I would be successful with my artistic talents, but in a small city like Thunder Bay, those opportunities were not there to have a career with art. My father is a gear-head, so you can say I got the automotive passion since birth. I grew up going to car shows & rod runs with the family's 1940 Ford Opera Coupe nicknamed "Hot Stuff" my father built before I was born and 41 years later, The car is still in the family today.
Before publishing, I worked at a Bombardier Plant building Bi-Level Trains and Subway Cars to support my family of 4. I also did side jobs to make ends meet like airbrushing, finishing carpentry & window tinting. Whatever it took to survive.
 Reams: Second question: What are your personal experiences growing up with CARtoons mag?
 Methot: Because I was born in 1977, I was lucky enough to experience CARtoons Magazine in the early 80's until it stop publishing in 1991. We only had one store that sold CARtoons locally and every second month, I remember being so excited to buy the next issue of CARtoons. What was Krass & Bernie’s next crazy build and what great stories would Shawn Kerri have to share. I loved all the stories that all the artists contributed, but of course Trosley & Kerri stood out the most to me. I was so disappointed when CARtoons stopped. The store didn't have answers and it didn't make sense why such a great magazine stopped publishing.
 Reams: So it should be noted that this zine editor interviewing you wasn't born until a year or so after the original run of the magazine ended.. How do you as publisher/editor-in-chief of CARtoons mag plan to recapture the spirit of the magazine in a way that harkens back to the first run of CARtoons, while attracting/keeping new generations of readers?
 Methot: What's great, was when I announced that I was planning to publish CARtoons again in 2015 after I locked in the trademark, many original CARtoons artists contacted me, wanting to be a part of CARtoons once again. To have some of the original artists like George Trosley, Fred Boatman, Bob Hardin, Joe Borer, Nelson Dewey, etc, helped a lot to create a nostalgic feel to the original CARtoons Magazine. This is why I kept it black & white, each issue having a poster insert and similar content like Trosley’s How to Draw, readers artwork submissions, etc.
The challenge is to keep the humor "family friendly" so the youngsters can enjoy reading CARtoons like we all did growing up, while still entertaining the adults we all have all grown to be. Also illustrations with exaggerated big tires and engines sticking out the hoods like Big Daddy Roth’s style is what I push for our fans to see more of. Speaking of Big Daddy Roth, we just announced that Rat Fink will be a permanent comic strip starting with Issue #15. This is great news as we are making CARtoons history with this character that has been long overdue needing to be in the pages of CARtoons. We are honored to work with the Roth family to make this happen.

Tumblr media
Reams: What kind of future plans/features are there for CARtoons mag?
 Methot: My #1 goal is to get fully established where we have a budget to do a lot more then we are doing now. The problem we are having is 90% of the world still doesn't know CARtoons is back. We hear it all the time while on tour or by emails. The question is how do we get this exciting news that CARtoons is back from the dead, to go viral? At this moment, we rely on social media, vending at big shows, word of mouth and of course interviews like the one we are having now. Thanks for this by the way.
Once we get fully established, expect to see more merch with CARtoons. Nostalgia is hot these days and CARtoons was never branded like it should have been. So better late then never. The sky is the limit with this iconic trademark. I see the future for CARtoons getting into the toy industry, video game industry & maybe an animated motion picture or TV show about CARtoons Magazine on tour to all the big car show events. Dream big and big things will happen.
Also for the magazine itself, we will continue to entertain with the characters & stories our readers have grown to love. You will also see special guest celebrities as CARtoon characters in certain issues of CARtoons Magazines. Plus, when you meet a lot of great gear-heads in this industry with a lot of experience, you hear a lot of great historical stories that need to be shared. Amazing stories that must be shared with our readers and that is what we plan to do with the storytellers’ consent of course. We as a CARtoons Team just want to entertain our readers as best as we can. From comic strip stories, tech articles, learn how to draw CARs to fun entertainment like spot the difference, crossword puzzles and even car cut-outs. CARtoons is not just a "magazine", it is a highly collectible "Comic Book Mag", your #1 Hot Rod Comic, dude, it’s fricken’ CARtoons Magazine!

Tumblr media
Reams: Following up on that - there's an outline of Rat Fink on the cover of the current issue (#14) captioned "Coming Soon"... Is Rat Fink really coming back to the mag - and will it be reprints, new features with the character, or a mix?

 Methot:  As mentioned above, you are correct! Rat Fink will be a permanent comic strip in CARtoons Magazine from now on thanks to Ilene and the Roth family. Ed Roth was a big part of CARtoons in the 60's, so it just seems so right to have his legacy continue on into the pages of CARtoons. Expect to read fresh new stories of Rat Fink created by Rat Fink Licensed Artist, Chad Norman. His style and story telling is a perfect fit on how we would like to see Rat Fink in CARtoons. Don't forget that Rat Fink has a lot of legendary friends. Will we see them in his new adventures? Guess you need to get yourself a copy to find out or subscribe and have each issue come right to your door.
 Reams: How did you manage to get back some of the original artists for the magazine?
 Methot:  As mentioned, many of the original artists contacted me right away once they heard I had plans to republish CARtoons. This was amazing as this would give CARtoons that nostalgic feel to it. Plus I had new artists that grew up reading CARtoons that inspired them to be the artist they are today want to be part of the magazine. These new artists are making their mark with CARtoons as our readers enjoy their new comic strip adventures in each issue.
Then there are the special guest artists that have done covers and spotlights in the magazine like Mike Lavallee with his amazing airbrushing skills. You would have seen him on Foose’s Overhaulin TV show. Tony Squindo that illustrates for Metallica. Jim Lawson that illustrates Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Comic Books, Jeff Allison who was a Designer for Hotwheels and many more. For future special guest artists, that road is unknown, but exciting at the same time.

Reams: How long have you been publishing - not just CARtoons, but in general?
Methot:  When I locked in the CARtoons trademark in 2015, I had zero experience in publishing. With a lot of research, I self taught myself with trial and error. I am sure schooling would have made the road to success a lot easier, but with no budget and time, that wasn’t an option. A huge thank you goes out to Steve Thamert, owner/publisher of Rat Rod Magazine. We had met when I started this magazine and anytime I had questions with publishing, he was kind to help and give his advice from his experience.
 Reams: Where can CARtoons fans find a new copy of CARtoons?
 Methot: First option would be to head to our website, cartoonsmag.com There you can purchase all our back issues, limited issues, digital issues, stickers, Iron-ons, swag, etc and of course a full subscription. If your mailman is careful with your mail, then you can’t go wrong with having each issue arrive right to your door.
Also on our website, we have a store locator that will pin point any retail stores in your area that sells CARtoons. We are in major retail stores such as Walmart, Barnes & Nobles, Chapters, Kroger’s etc. If no retail stores near you sell CARtoons, then just head to your local comic book store and if they order from “PREVIEWS” catalog, then they can order CARtoons for you every time a new issue comes out. When you purchase a CARtoons Magazine or subscribe, you are not just buying the #1 One Hot Rod Comic Book Mag in the world, you are also supporting a family business and the artists that contribute to it. If every original fan of CARtoons committed to the magazine, our budget would allow us to be even better than it possibly could be.
So spread the word to all your friends and family and pick up a copy today. You will definitely not be disappointed as it is rare today to purchase a magazine for only $5.99 USD that comes with 64 pages of pure entertainment and very little ads. The Poster Insert is of course an added bonus.
Crypt of MADness magazine would like to thank CARtoons magazine publisher Marc Methot for allowing us to interview him!!

5 Awesome Game Sequels That Were Screwed Over & Canned
Death, taxes, and AAA video game sequels: the only inevitable things in this world. If we didn’t get a new Call Of Duty or Assassin’s Creed this year, we would take it as an omen of Ragnarok — which is why it’s all the more tragic that some of the best potential sequels ever envisioned will never come to pass. Like …
#5. Fallout Online Got Lost In A Legal Quagmire
Long before Fallout 4 brought the mighty porn industry to its knees, pun remorselessly intended, the Fallout games put a lot more emphasis on the role-playing side of things, giving you a birds-eye view of a game that looks like it could be run with the processing power of an unusually large potato.
Not even an Idaho one — more like a Wisconsin-grown potato.
The early Fallout games were considered some of the finest RPGs ever made. But in 2007, Interplay, its creator, sold the franchise to Bethesda Softworks, the company of 10,000 artists and three voice actors. Part of the deal was that Interplay got to keep the rights to develop an MMO based on Fallout — think World Of Warcraft, but with super mutants instead of orcs.
A huge improvement on the sexiness scale.
This wasn’t just a pipe dream — large chunks of the map had been developed, the guts of the gameplay were functional, scenarios had been written, players had the ability to create and run their own towns, and Interplay had developed a “game-worldwide meta-puzzle,” where the entire player base would have to come together to solve an elaborate mystery that spanned the apocalypse. Basically, you know how all your friends won’t shut up about their Fallout 4 adventures? Fallout Online would have allowed you to have those adventures together, although it also would have vastly increased the likelihood of employers across the country seeing through your fake illness when you inadvertently grouped up with them.
The Stupid Reason It Was Cancelled:
That deal we mentioned? It came with the condition that Interplay had to start getting serious about working on Fallout Online by 2009. All those words we just said up there implied that they had, but Bethesda disagreed and took Interplay to court. Long and complicated story short, Bethesda lost more decisions than the Washington Generals, but eventually managed to settle out of court, giving Interplay 2 million bucks and permission to continue developing their game — as long as they stripped every mention of “Fallout” from it.
Their knock-off Nuka-Cola would have been nothing but raw sewage and carbonated Brahmin blood … So, Pepsi.
Definitely Not Fallout Online was then handed over to another developer who ran a crowdfunding campaign to rustle up even more money, after which they, uh, vanished from the face of the Earth, taking every hope of a Fallout MMO with them (and also the money of all those loyal fans).
Dickheads? Dickheads never change.
#4. A Completed Star Fox 2 Was Canned Because Of The Console Wars
Star Fox, the game that birthed a generation of furries, and Star Fox 64, the game that birthed a generation of frog-hating barrel roll enthusiasts, are both universally regarded as classic Nintendo games that look like the aftermath of a drunken polygon party by today’s standards. But another game was supposed to have come out in-between them, appropriately titled Star Fox 2. And it looked pretty damn good …
Instead of just being a linear series of ship battles, Star Fox 2 would have had you flying around the solar system to contain an invasion force. You had to pick your battles, defend your home planet from missiles, and retreat from fights to dive into others that needed you more, adding strategy and exploration to a game whose only weak point was its on-rails nature. There was also a multiplayer duel option, and the Star Fox team would have expanded to include a tomboy lynx and a fashionable poodle girl. And we think everyone can agree that the male-dominated Star Fox team needed some ladies to balance out the space combat gender gap and help guide some animal-loving players through a very special time in their lives.
Someone’s about to make a Slippy in their pants.
Once you tear your eyes away, you may start wondering why basically everything is known about a game that got the ax. Well, the game was all finished and set to be released in the summer of 1995 until it was abruptly cancelled, which is like watching your mom pull a fresh batch of chocolate-chip cookies out of the oven, only to dump them in the garbage bin and cover them with cat vomit.
The Stupid Reason It Was Cancelled:
Star Fox 2 was all set to be a hit, partially because Nintendo in the ’90s could have slapped their name on a box of venomous centipedes and still sold a million copies. But, the Nintendo 64 was about to come out, and Nintendo wanted a clean break between the Super Nintendo’s two dimensions and the N64’s bold new future of one more than that.
A strategy that never, ever bit them in the ass. Ever.
Also, the Sega Saturn and Sony PlayStation had just come out, and Nintendo was worried that their newfangled 3D games would make Star Fox 2 look shitty and old-fashioned by comparison, regardless of how fun it was. And so they pulled the plug, losing money and scuttling a couple years of hard work because graphics were more important than gameplay, even in an era when every 3D game you played made you feel like you had cyber-glaucoma.
Rats, in this case, being Nintendo’s accountants.
#3. Fez 2 Became The Casualty Of A Twitter Spat
Indie game Fez, whose tumultuous five-year development earned its own Wikipedia page, was primarily powered by designer Phil Fish, who was quite outspoken about how game design may not always be kitten snuggles and rainbows. But, Fez overcame long odds to sell more than a million copies and become highly regarded as an ingenious platforming puzzle game. A sequel seemed inevitable, and, sure enough, along came a teaser video with suitably epic music …
… and then Fish canned the game a month after announcing it, to the complete shock of everyone who wasn’t named Phil Fish.
The Stupid Reason It Was Cancelled:
When Fish refused to comment on Microsoft’s new Xbox One indie game development policies, obscure gaming journalist Marcus Beer decided that this was an egregious affront against humanity. Beer said Fish was “bitching and moaning” about having to answer media questions. He also called Fish a “fucking asshole,” a “fucking hipster,” and a “tosspot,” which we’re pretty sure is British for something along the lines of “not a great dude.” Fish responded on Twitter in the most mature and responsible way that platform allows: by telling Beer to go kill himself.
Yet another stupid fight started with Beer consumption.
When the dust settled, Fish declared, “I fucking hate this industry,” cancelled the game, announced his exit from game development, and took his ball home.
Leaving disappointed fans to tell him where he could put it.
Fish later clarified that the cancellation of Fez 2 wasn’t “due to any one thing,” implying that Beer’s comments were simply the straw that broke the fish’s back.
… said the boorish fuck.
But, regardless of other contributing factors, it was a stupid Twitter spat that ultimately killed the game. Seriously, social media, is there anything you don’t ruin?
#2. A Mario Volleyball Game Was Cancelled For Violating A Vague Honor Code
Mario is one of the greatest athletes to ever fictionally exist. From golf, tennis, and go-karting to baseball, basketball, and more, he has mastered countless sports, despite looking like his favorite is amateur hot dog eating. So, when Next Level Gamers started working on a Mario volleyball game with the premise of “Hey, Mario hasn’t played volleyball yet,” they must have felt pretty good about their odds of success — especially since they had already made their mark with two Super Mario Strikers games that were praised for combining the tedium of soccer with the physics of Space Jam.
At least it gives Waluigi something to do in between bouts of never doing anything.
Then, they threw in elements of professional wrestling and game shows to make the weirdest hybrid this side of a stoner’s kitchen. Nintendo’s beloved characters were going to spike balls into faces and pile-drive each other into the floors of electrified rings in the insane genre mash-up you never knew you wanted. At best, it would have been a glorious, surreal combination of ideas that monopolized your weekends like so many go-kart races and tennis matches before it. And, at worst, it would have provided fleeting amusement before your inevitable demise, which is all we can really ask of a video game.
It honestly makes about as much sense as actual wrestling, so why not?
The Stupid Reason It Was Cancelled:
Nintendo felt that “certain aspects of [the game’s] premise clashed with the company’s code of honor,” because Nintendo apparently operates under the same principles as the French Foreign Legion. Just what Nintendo meant is vague, but we do know that they were uncomfortable with the level of violence in the game and considered it “dishonorable” to be able to hit characters that were already down. Behold the incredible, stomach-churning combat that Nintendo found unsettling:
What happened to wholesome entertainment, like ripping turtles out of their shells and slowly digesting Goombas alive?
Their objections mostly just raise further questions, considering one of their most successful franchises is all about having their most popular characters mercilessly pummel the absolute shit out of each other. Maybe volleyball is just really unpopular in Japan. Or, maybe the video game industry is terrifyingly arbitrary, and it’s a wonder anything ever gets made at all. Or, maybe both!
#1. Silent Hills Was Cancelled Because Konami Thinks Mobile Gaming Is The Future
Doubly so if they included an alternate skin of his fashion model days.
The hype train gained further steam with the release of P.T., a playable teaser (oooh, we just got that), where you stroll through the same hallway repeatedly and watch your home slowly get more and more horrifying.
Home Alone took a dark turn once Kevin found Buzz’s stash of mushrooms.
There was no combat, almost no dialogue, a simple plot, and little interaction beyond discovering what fucked-up thing was now in your bathroom. And it was still widely considered one of the best horror games of the year. That’s like a movie trailer beating actual movies for the Best Picture Oscar. It was a legitimately terrifying experience and, if the full game was able to match its intensity, it would have been an instant classic.
“Mrs. Robinson, you’re trying to devour my flesh and feast on my soul.”
And then it was cancelled, the ability to download P.T. was removed, and developer Konami is now hunting down anyone who still references its existence and sending them to re-education camps. Run! Save yourself, before it’s too late!
The Stupid Reason It Was Cancelled:
Konami thinks traditional games just aren’t worth the effort anymore. This is the Silent Hill game they decided to make instead.
Yes, that’s a Silent Hill-themed slot machine set to music that’s rocking junior high schools across Midwest America. We completely understand if you need a minute for the tears to stop. Konami actually makes more money from their casino games than they do from video games, and they think mobile games represent the only profitable future in the latter department.
Three Pyramid Heads nets you 50,000 points and your grandma’s head on a pike.
OK, so it’s a cold yet rational business decision. Disappointing, but understandable. But, wait a second — Metal Gear Solid V, a game that was anticipated as much as Silent Hills, made more money in its opening weekend than Jurassic World and Avengers: Age Of Ultron. Combined. It’s a massive hit, leaving Konami’s logic inscrutable. Between deciding they don’t like making games anymore, cutting ties with long-time collaborator Kojima, and making Del Toro say that he’ll never work on a video game again, it’s like Konami’s having a midlife crisis where they quit their job, divorce their spouse, alienate their friends, and hit the open road on a brand-new type of motorcycle that runs solely on spite.
