DRUNKEN CONFESSIONS WITH HIGURUMA PLEASE AND THANK YOU! (and maybe some nsfw if you're up to it?)
a rendering of regret, hiromi higuruma ;
Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing hiromi higuruma x f!reader word count 4.1k synopsis like everyone else who suffers from early onset midlife crisis syndrome, hiromi discovers two important things: he wishes he could fix things between you two and YOLO. like any other man with nothing to lose, he finds himself leaving the city and going back to his hometown, ready to be back in your good graces. content contains drinking, small town that sucks the life out of you but is home as the setting, being disappointed that growing up does not, in fact, solve all your problems, hiromi's mother is heavily implied to have committed su*cide, smut (riding hiromi, creampie, drunk sex)
Tumblr media
Returning back to his hometown shouldn’t be as shameful of an ordeal as he makes it out to be, but the thing is, when you make a big show out of outgrowing small-town life, only to come back when it turns out the Real World sucks the soul out of you, it all becomes startlingly clear that you were never supposed to make it out in the first place. Becoming a hotshot attorney in Tokyo quickly disillusions any and all grandeur of being special and adulthood for Hiromi Higuruma, resident prodigy.
It turns out that city living is even worse than a quaint little town because, while there’s really nothing to do back home, there is entirely too much going on in Tokyo. The subway is always crowded and reeks of B.O., cheap perfume, overpowering cologne, and crushed dreams. There is never not a case that needs his immediate attention. With so many people existing all in the same place, at the same time, it somehow becomes increasingly harder to form real, human connections.
He knows that his mental break was long overdue, and honestly, he’s just shocked that his snapping hadn’t occurred sooner. Innocent people get tried for crimes on a daily basis; he knows this. He goes into this job knowing this, and witnesses it firsthand. It shouldn’t hit him so hard, but you told him, once upon a time, that at his core, he’s a good person. Hiromi Higuruma doesn’t think that a good person would punch both the prosecutor and the judge, but it certainly made him feel good.
The justice system is a sham, and growing up sucks. Hiromi thinks that for someone who popped out his mother’s womb a full-blown genius, he was a bit slow on the uptake when it came to realizing these two monumental truths. He decides not to waste any more time on trying to tackle the world’s problems on how he used to do, which is rationally and with a clear-head. Lately, Hiromi’s just been letting the intrusive thoughts win more often than not. He’s certainly not punching judges in the courtroom, but he tests out new experiences when he’s feeling particularly adventurous.
Adulthood is all about being able to take a bath in your suit and tie, and no one can give you shit about it besides yourself. There are absolutely no consequences to doing this, and Hiromi thinks people should advertise adulthood as getting to do batshit crazy things to yourself without fear of a scolding. That is much more realistic and sounds much more promising than bullshit like you’re going to change the world. The world sucks. Everybody sucks. Tokyo sucks. His hometown sucks. He sucks.
Perhaps the only good thing to come out of this life is you. You, Hiromi thinks, are the only person in the world who he can never look at differently.
Hiromi realizes too late that when you spend your whole life running from something, it eventually catches up to you, and it usually does whenever you’re out of breath and decidedly not prepared for life and past regrets to start pummeling you into the gravel. Hiromi has spent literal years avoiding any trace of you, and now he’s back home, probably worse off than he was when he originally decided to ditch this place, and his biggest past regret is standing in the staff lounge, making coffee from the communal coffee machine.
A shame, really. It’s almost embarrassing to be a grown man who gets literal heart eyes whenever he sees you. It’s doubly embarrassing whenever he realizes it’s been a decade since he’s last seen you, and that somehow, you still manage to make his heart get all hyperactive on him.
“Hi, stranger,” you say, pretending like the fucking ghost of Christmas Past isn’t standing in the staff lounge of the community college you work at.
“Hi,” he says, because for all his booksmarts, he can’t seem to come up with anything better. When he first skipped town, not even bothering to walk the stage for graduation, there had been a lot left unsaid between the two of you. Bringing up the past now, dredging up buried memories, seems like a bad idea.
“You must be the new law instructor.”
“Yes.” Apparently, as eloquent as he can be when it comes to defending his clients, he sure as shit is awful when it comes to saying the right thing to you. Then again, there are no instruction manuals to reference when it comes to facing your ex-girlfriend from high school who you never actually properly broken up with, just ghosted.
You stare at him, study him for just a second. Take in his tired appearance. The circles under his eyes. An apathetic expression you aren’t quite used to. Strands of hair still stick up a bit in the back of his head and a few more hang in his face — that, at least, is one thing that hasn’t changed.
“Good for you.” You tell him, and you leave it at that.
Tumblr media
Hiromi Higuruma returning back to this shithole is certainly not on your bingo card on situations you thought would occur this year. Growing up, you were convinced more than anybody that Hiromi didn’t belong here. Not because of his appearance or the fact that his household was infamous for being a loveless, lifeless shell of a home and family, but because if anybody was destined for bigger and better things in life, it certainly would be Hiromi.
He’s always been smart, to the point where the teachers would practically give him free rein to do whatever he wanted to during class because he already studied the material beforehand. Usually, he just spent this time helping you with your assignments. You remember making a comment to him in high school one time.
“I’m holding you back, aren’t I?” You poke the book he’s ignoring in favor of helping you edit your essay for English Lit.
“No,” he says, eyes glued to your paper. He’s erasing something.
“Sure I am. You could be doing anything else besides editing my paper.”
“I don’t mind.”
“Well, I do.”
“You shouldn’t.” He’s rewriting a sentence for you. “There’s nothing I’d rather be doing.”
“You should stop helping me, Higuruma.”
He finally looks up from the paper. “What?”
“You should stop helping me.” You yank back your essay, unceremoniously shoving it into your bookbag. “It’s bad for me in the long run.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“I’ll just keep on depending on you, and then what am I gonna do when you leave?”
You mention this hypothetical as if it’s a fact. As if he is one hundred percent going to ditch this town and everybody in it. At the time you’re saying this, he doesn’t even know he’s going to leave yet.
“What makes you think I’m leaving?”
“You’ll die if you stay here.” Looking back, it’s comical how teenagers have a bad habit of voicing assumptions and then presenting them as fact. Hiromi Higuruma is the type of guy who cares so damn much about people and the state of the world, no matter where he goes, death’s going to follow. Caring is killer.
“Even if I do leave, I’d want you to come with me.” He doesn’t know why he says this, but he knows that it’s the truth. If you want to stay here, that’s the only reason he needs to stay. If you want to go, he’ll have his bags packed.
You search his eyes, looking for a possibility that he’s just saying stuff to appease you. Apparently, you find the sincerity you’re looking for because you give him a bright smile, hands already digging in your bookbag in search of your now-crumbled up essay.
“Pinky promise?”
“Pinky promise.”
He seals the deal by interlocking his pinky with yours. This is a sacred act. You made it a strict rule in your friendship, and Hiromi is a stickler for rules. You can’t break a pinky promise; it’s the type of vow that transcends legality. To break a pinky promise would be to break off your friendship, make it null and void. So, when the time to walk the stage and receive your diploma in front of the town comes, you’re confused as to why Hiromi isn’t there. He’s not home, either.
Hiromi left, his dad tells you. He looks like Hiromi, but since that’s his father, it’s the other way around. The only difference, besides the fact that he is a grown-up, is that Mr. Higuruma has what you call dead eyes. Lifeless. Like, he’s looking, but he’s not really seeing what’s there. He talks funny, too. All flat and emotionless, like he’s perpetually unbothered. You can’t even tell how he feels about his son’s departure, or the fact that there’s a teenage girl on his doorstep at seven in the evening, still wearing your cap and gown.
“Do you know where to?” You ask Mr. Higuruma, still hopeful, still feeling the ghost of his pinky twisted around yours.
“Tokyo.”
That checks out. You always knew Hiromi was meant for something more.
“I’m shocked he’s not put behind bars,” Yuki tells you, wiping down the bar counter. “Didn’t you hear what went down in the courtroom with him and that judge?”
It had made the news. You normally don’t care to tune in, but it was something that concerned Hiromi. Of course you heard all about it.
“I just don’t know what he’s doing back here.”
“This place is a dump. ‘Course someone down on their luck is gonna come slinking back in here.”
“Yuki…” You look at your best friend. “Didn’t you technically come back, too?”
“Well I never said I wasn’t down on my luck, now did I?” You can’t imagine someone like Yuki having to come back home with her tail tucked in between her legs. Yuki is the opposite of a loser; while the world beats people to a pulp, Yuki curbstomps the world. If Tokyo managed to send Yuki and Hiromi packing their bags, you don’t want to leave your hometown. Ever.
Tumblr media
You meet Hiromi in grade school. Your town is too small to actually have its own public school, and so all the kids from home walk the two miles to the designated bus stop where this ugly, wretched faded yellow deathtrap on wheels comes squeaking and squealing to pick you up and take you all to the nearest city’s school.
Everyone knows that you all are the students from the rinky-dink town that’s such a shithole that it can’t even produce its own school. Finding work in that town is hard enough as it is, but you grow up used to being surrounded by your other financial equals. It’s hard to find your footing amongst a crowd of kids who get new shoes every school year and can afford the fancy crayons. You know, the ones that aren’t just glorified lumps of colored wax that would probably work better as candles instead of cheap art supplies.
Hiromi gets most of the city students’ attention, though. It’s not as if it’s a surprise to you that they like to pick on him for his nose — it’s like the joke’s practically staring them right in the face.
You are surprised, though, that he takes it so hard. He’s sitting alone at the front of the bus, staring out the window, and you think you catch a tear running down his cheek.
You know that Hiromi is always early to a fault; he waits outside for the bus a good thirty minutes before it’s even scheduled to show up, just to ensure that he won’t miss it. You have to get up extra early as a result because you think it would be better to try to make friends with Hiromi without an audience.
Before you can lose all confidence in yourself, you go for it. You take one grubby little hand of yours and swipe awfully close to his face, nearly hitting his nose in the process.
“Got your nose!” You wave your hand in the air, smile slowly falling when you realize that he doesn’t look amused. “Sorry. I was trying to help.”
“How was that supposed to help?” He doesn’t sound mean when he says it. He sounds curious, like he’s genuinely trying to hear you out. You will soon learn that that is the type of person Hiromi is. He might be the only person in the world who doesn’t judge someone within the first five seconds of meeting them.
“Y’know, so when the other kids in school make fun of your nose, you know they’re lying.”
“How would they be lying?”
“‘Cause I got your nose. How are they making fun of something they can’t see?”
Logically, young Hiromi knows that this is not the case. His big, fat nose is still smack dab in the center of his face, and the “nose” you captured is just your tiny thumb tucked under your fingers. Logical thinking is no fun, though, so Hiromi goes with it, and the two of you have been inseparable ever since.
Tumblr media
Hiromi Higuruma has a lot of regrets, actually. In his mental tier list, the bottom of the barrel shit is made up of petty things, like not punching his grade school bullies in the face for being little assholes, or not trying Kitakata ramen when he had the chance. Then, there’s the stuff just a level above, which is less-silly things, like how he regrets the way he handled certain cases and the fact that in his haste to return home, he didn’t pack a pair of comfortable house slippers, and the ones he bought at the only convenience store in town feel too stiff.
At the very top, his biggest regrets are all centered around you. This isn’t to say that he regrets you, but he does know that his treatment of you haunts him during the nights he lies awake in bed and wonders why the fuck life sucks so hard. He hates that he didn’t admit to you that he liked you sooner, that he wasted so many of his high school days awkwardly trying to hide the fact that he’s hopelessly devoted to you. He hates that he didn’t get a chance to take you to prom. He hates that he didn’t tell you that he was leaving, that he didn’t think to bring you with him, that he never called or texted after he left because he was too embarrassed and scared at the prospect of you not wanting to hear from him after how he left without a trace. He regrets not telling you why he left, that he caught his father and his mistress together, and how disgusted he felt at seeing such a sight. That the next day, he vowed to tell his mother, only to knock on her bedroom door (it’s no surprise that his parents never shared the same bed for as long as Hiromi could remember), and when she didn’t answer, he opened the door, only to be greeted by her still body in bed, three empty orange pill bottles on the nightstand.
He couldn’t have stayed, and he was rendered speechless. Final transcripts had already been released, and walking for graduation was optional. Hiromi took whatever meager savings he had, clicked “accept” for his college admission to Tokyo U (full-ride, because if anyone was going to get a scholarship based on academic merit, it would be Hiromi), and skipped town. Everything in the world to him appeared to be in shades of black and white, the occasional bright orange catching his eye, haunting him, taunting him.
Life is too short, though. Too short to waste time in bed, in an apartment he hates located in a city he despises, to look back at all his shortcomings. If he could go back in time and do things differently, he would. He wouldn’t have punched that judge or the prosecutor (even if they totally did deserve it), and he wouldn’t have kept his acceptance into Tokyo U a secret from you. He would have taken you to prom, and he would’ve asked you to come with him to Tokyo, escape this dump of a town and take on the big city together. He thinks he probably would have hated Tokyo less if you were with him, you and your nonsensical logic that makes the worst things to ever happen to him suddenly seem bearable.
He should tell you all of this, but he’s drunk because Yuki is manning the bar, and she pours with a heavy hand. He never really spoke to the blonde despite the fact that they grew up down the street from each other, attended school at the exact same time, same grade, same everything. The downside of living here, it seems, is that everyone you’ve ever known is entirely unavoidable. You run into them everywhere. You want to drown your sorrows in amber liquid served in questionable, grimy glassware, and the person aiding in your slow death is the very girl who used to wake you up in the middle of the night due to the sound of her revving up her obnoxiously loud and ancient (she claims vintage) motorcycle that she bought for cheap at a junkyard.
The upside of living here, it seems, is that since everyone is unavoidable, you are running into him here.
You take a seat to his left, conveniently leaving one barstool between the two of you. Yuki is joking around with you, saying something that makes you laugh, and the urge to do something very stupid builds up in Hiromi. He’s been totally chill with the whole “letting the intrusive thoughts win” routine, but he wants to handle his relationship with you with a delicate hand.
“Can I buy you a drink?” He asks you, hoping that his words don’t come out slurred.
“I’d normally say yes, but Yuki gives me my drinks on the house.”
Yuki yanks back the drink she made you. “If Ace Attorney over here wants to pay for your drink, you’re getting charged, hon. Sorry. Girl’s gotta make a living.”
Tumblr media
Conversation with Hiromi comes naturally to you. Everything you do with Hiromi comes naturally. The alcohol helps warm you right back up to him, dormant feelings now coming back to life. You think you’re too old to have butterflies in your tummy when you make tequila-induced attempts at flirting with him (at least, you think you’re flirting; it’s been a while since you actually tried). You think that you definitely don’t give a shit whenever he plays along, because that’s just what he does, what he always has been doing.
When he left, everyone in town was under the impression that Hiromi had been stringing you along. The fact of the matter is, you have Hiromi wrapped around your finger to the point where he doesn’t think he could ever get unstuck.
Everything you do with Hiromi comes naturally, and it’s only natural to have him walk you back to your apartment. It’s only natural that you invite him inside to “catch up” some more, and it’s only natural that “catching up” involves you grinding on his lap, sinking his body deeper into the pink loveseat in your living room.
Your dress is tugged up to your waist because easy access means you don’t have to get naked to get dicked down. Hiromi’s suit pants are admittedly not made for quick fucks, but if there’s a will, there’s a way. His pants are unzipped, briefs adjusted enough so that his dick can unceremoniously be freed from its confines and make its way to where it truly belongs, which is buried deep inside the warmth of your cunt.
Hiromi finds pleasure in the discomfort of it all. If he was doing this with anyone else, he’d be hyper aware of the stiffness of his dry cleaned suit, and how the loveseat seems to protest with the combined weight of you two rocking back and forth on top of it. He’d be too irritated with the way sex would wrinkle his clothes, and he probably wouldn’t even be this hard because he drinks so he has a valid excuse for never taking a woman home with him.
Because it’s you, everything is felt to the extreme, but you have this way, this charm, this spell, that makes everything that happens to Hiromi better. The best. You are the best he’s ever had, and he thinks he grunts this into your ear as you rest your body against his, upper body limp and boneless, your lower half moving up and down, trying to get a good angle so his cock can hit right there.
He kisses your shoulder, and he experimentally thrusts up, and you let out a string of moans that are interspersed with little breathy fuck’s, and he thinks this might be one of his most favorite sounds in the whole entire world. So he keeps thrusting, keeps relishing in the way your walls seem to clamp down on him, keeps enjoying the way you hang onto him and whimper out his name.
He is drunk, and he is in love, and he knows that he didn’t come here with the intention of fucking you boneless, but you don’t seem to mind, didn’t seem to mind when you kissed him first and started grinding on him, the catalyst to the situation he’s in now.
He planned on telling you the truth, the story about why he left, about how he feels stupid on how he handled the whole situation. The bourbon he downed earlier this night seems to be affecting his brain, though, because all he knows is that there is only one confession he is capable of giving to you right now.
“I love you.” He groans, his hands finding your waist, gripping hard. “Fuck, I love you. Never stopped.”
His cock feels too good when it's buried deep inside of you. You know it’s silly and stupid, but you want to tell Hiromi that you want him to fuck himself so deep that he can touch your heart with his dick. No other man would want to hear some creep shit like that, but Hiromi is Hiromi. He would get it. You drunkenly tell him your wish, and he lets out a little breathy laugh, rolls his hips, and rocks your world.
“I’ll give it my best shot.” He says, and because the alcohol tells him that his sobriety makes him a bitch, he reminds you once more. “I love you.”
You cum. The sex is drunken and messy, and while drunk sex usually happens in a blurry haze for you, you are seeing everything clearly. You can see the crease in between his brows as he concentrates on maintaining the perfect balance between relishing in your wetness and not overstimulating you. You can see the way his eyes greedily, lovingly, admire the messy sight of your joined bodies. You can see his nose, tall and as noticeable as ever, and so Hiromi.
You want to tell him that you love his nose, but speaking is hard when he dicks you down like this. All you can do is press a kiss to the tip of it. This only makes him tighten his grip on your waist, his thrusts getting more erratic, and then you feel a nice warmth flooding inside of you. The two of you are rational adults, and rational adults know that cumming inside should be a no-no between two people who have yet to establish what the fuck you are to each other.
“I love your nose.” You tell him, when you finally manage to catch your breath. He’s still buried inside of you, and you’re afraid that when he does eventually have to pull you off of him, everything’s going to come spilling out of you. The thought of separating from Hiromi makes you frown. You just got him back.
“I love you.” He says back, for the nth time this night. Maybe he’s making up for lost time. Maybe he’s just drunk. You don’t care. Hiromi is back, and even if he leaves again, you’re happy that he’s at least here with you right now.
“You’re drunk.”
“If I tell you when I’m sober, will you believe me?”
He’ll sober up tomorrow. If he tells you when he’s sober, that means he’ll have to stay. He won’t go.
“Yes.” You say, trying not to reveal the fact that you already believe him. Hiromi is not as impassive as he thinks he is. “Pinky promise.”
You feel the familiar warmth of his finger twisting ‘round yours.
“Pinky promise.”

Tumblr media
It’s your birthday night
“Hey I was wondering where you went off too.” Natasha smiled seeing you in the kitchen.”
“Just needed a breather.” You muttered vaping your weed pen.
“Sure it wasn’t because Rachel is singing with Quinn?” The redhead kinked her brow.
“…No.” You muttered drinking the rest of your drink. You were crossfaded and ready to get shit faced.
“Hmhm.” She chuckled sitting on the counter where you were leaning.
You grinned looking down at her dress covered legs.
“I got you something.” She said softly, taking it out of her pocket.
“Whhhat? You shouldn’t have.” You chuckled, taking the small box in your hand. You opened it and took out a necklace with the names of your daughters on it.
“If you look through the top you’ll see them.” She smiled watching your jaw drop. You could see a picture of you and your little girls from the time you were in Natasha’s pool.
“Nat this is… thank you. I love it.” You chuckled, hugging her tightly against you. “It’s a really thoughtful and sweet gift. I love it.” You blushed, handing her the necklace to place on you. She leaned in, unclasping the hook before placing it on you and leaning back again.
“You’re welcome.” She said softly, you were both close and you don’t know if it’s her scent or being crossfaded but you have an urge to take her. God, you get so horny when you drink. Her arms are still loosely hanging around your neck. You’re so close between her legs she can feel your bulge growing she leans in lightly kissing your cheek. “Happy birthday.”
“Where is Bruce?” You ask softly, stepping closer feeling her legs nudge you closer.
Natasha shrugs, she doesn’t have the energy to lie, not when she’s buzzed and can smell your scent.
“He doesn’t deserve you Nat.” You say boldly caress her cheek.
She’s just going to tell you. Tell you her marriage is a sham, and tell you that Quinn is the one that doesn’t deserve you. The words are on the edge of her lips when you start leaning closer “Y/N-” She husks arching her back ever so lightly to lighten the ache between her legs.
“You deserve so much better.” You say softly.
“The same could be said for you.” She whispers her hands now cupping our cheeks. You both hold eye contact as your hands hook beneath her legs bringing her close against you.
“Nat.” Her name slips from your lips feeling her nose rub against yours. It’s such a small thing that ignites the fire in your belly. You feel your cock throb as the blood rushes down.
Her lips touch yours letting the fire spread. You both moan finally unleashing your emotions that have been lingering for too long.
Her legs hook around you and suddenly her hands are reaching for your belt and yours reach below her dress dragging her soaked panties down and shoving them in your pocket.
She takes your meat in her hand gently tugging you. You break the kiss bringing her closer by the hips feeling her rubbing against your hard cock.
She sighs and you groan feeling her hot juices against your cock. “Y/N!” She husks feeling your tongue against her neck. “I’ve wanted this for so long!” She husks pushing you inside.
“Oh my God… oh Natasha oh fuck!” You moan as the toe of your shoes bang against the bottoms of the cabinets. You pivot your hips hitting her spot.
“Ohhh!” Natasha’s mouth opens with a loud moan as she pulls you closer feeling you deep inside her womb.
The cabinets bang as you thrust harder and harder. She pushes your shirt up to feel your skin.
“I wanna feel your body against mine so bad.” She husks. You shove her dress was far up as you can hold her against you. You can feel her meeting your thrusts.
“Fuck I can’t hold on much longer.” You moan feeling her hard nipples and soft skin against yours. “I’m sorry you just feel so fucking good.”
“Oh baby I’m gonna cum it’s been a really really long time.”
“Good cause I can’t hold on im gonna… I gotta-“ you tried to pull out but she kept you there and you exploded. “Ohhhh!” You groan feeling the coil inside of you spring to life. Emptying your seed deep inside of her.
“Fuuuck!” She moans her pussy twitching, milking you for all your worth.
You're both panting as you come down from your high. “Fuck.” You breathe out remembering your wife, the women of your children and the one who threw this party for you is right outside. You let go of Nat laying a hand against the top cabinet. “Fuck.” You say again before looking up.
Natasha feels her heart fall and you look disappointed. She can’t tell if you regret it because you're married or if you regret it because you’re not into her.
“Hey.” She says lifting your chin.
Your eyes are Wild.
“Kiss me.”
She leans in taking your lips once more. Your breathing is still heavy from having hot sex against your kitchen counter.
You both are silent as you break the kiss. Your cock is still inside of her. You gently pull out grabbing paper towels you wipe your cum that seeps out of her pussy. You have half a mind to clean her with your tongue but the whole you debate the idea. There are voices right outside asking where you are.
You stuff your cock back in your jeans and Natasha steals one last kiss from you. “Hmm.” You hum squeezing her close and breaking when the back door opens.
Natasha purses her lips gripping the counter as you take a few steps back.
“Hey there you are, come on Quinn’s looking for you.” Mike grins, gripping your shoulders as he pushes you along outside.
Your birthday night was the start of a torrid love affair.
The next time you and Natasha fuck is the day after your birthday. You spent the next day thinking about what you did. You were racked with guilt in the beginning but as time wore on that day all you could think about was the way her velvet walls felt against your cock. The sound of her moans and groans as you stretched her out.
You were bricked and needed her to help you. Quinn sadly thought it was for her.
“You are insatiable. Don’t worry, I'll take care of you tonight.” She husked winking at you as she continued on with dinner.
That night your wife sucked on your cock in a way that used to have you coming in minutes. You tried to focus on her hazel eyes as she choked on your staff, but your mind would pan to Natasha. You wanted her so bad you feel the way your body aches for her. Quinn rode you like a cowgirl and still all you could think about was the way Natasha’s body would arch into yours. You wondered how’d she taste, and how wonderful she would feel writhing on top of you.
You pictured her and came with a grunt.
You satisfied Quinn as she was getting tired of being the only one to have orgasmed so many times.
The next day Quinn went to work and took Beth to school. You went straight to Wanda with Fin.
“Do you mind watching her for a bit? I need to do something real quick.”
“Oh of course.” Wanda nodded, taking your daughter. “Thank you, I'll be back.”
As soon as Wanda shut the door you ran towards Natasha’s. You banged on her door leaning both hands on the panels of her door breathing heavily as your heart thumped against your chest. You shouldn’t be here. You shouldn’t be doing this, but you couldn’t fight it anymore. You wanted her so bad you just had to have her again.
“Y/N.” She said eyes widening as she opened the door.
You don’t say a word, you just bring her in your arms kissing her as passionately as you did the day before yesterday.
“Hmm.” She hummed, slamming the door shut. You lift her up and pin her against the door.
“I can’t stop thinking about you.” You muttered as you both gasped for air.
“You haven’t left my mind. I thought you regretted it.” Natasha’s chest heaved.
“I don’t.” You shook your head leaning in to kiss her lips softly this time.
“Take us upstairs.”
You nod, kissing her once more before running up the stairs.
“Left.” she mumbles taking a break from kissing your chest.
You hang a left and rush through the door plopping both of you on her bed.
“Hmmm take it off.” She husks pushing against you.
You both shed your clothes quickly, unable to contain the sexual energy you both feel radiating around you.
“God you’re so fucking beautiful.” You say biting your lips as you look down at her porcelain body.
“I’ve wanted this for so long.” She says bringing you down by the necklace she got you.
“I’m here now baby, daddy’s here. I’m gonna take care of that ache between these delicious legs.” You say laying between her legs.
She moans at the sight of you so close to licking her pussy. She thrusts her hips up tangling her fingers in your hair. “Please!” She begs. “Please fuck me daddy. I need you so badly.”
You pin her legs down, and inhale deeply before feasting on her sweet tangy pussy. “Fuck you taste so good!” You mutter. Your tongue is flicking her bundle of nerves so perfectly. She takes your hands placing them on her breast moaning as you massage both.
Your lapping her up and her body is twitching against you she’s getting closer.
“I need you daddy.” She shakes her head. “I need you to stretch me out in the best fucking way!”
“I wanna keep tasting you.” You smirk hearing her whine.
“Please daddy! Please fuck me right. Please Y/N fuck me into this mattress!” She pulls you up and you lay between her legs humping into her as your teeth clash in a battle for dominance.
Her nails scratch your back as you slip right into her. “Ohhhh!” Her body tenses tightly around you as she moans. “Ohhhh fuck!” she sobs feeling you slam into her your abs rubbing against her taunt stomach.
“You feel so fucking good baby.” You groan. “You’re taking me so well.” You lift yourself up so you could see the way her tits jiggle with every thrust into her. You let one hand go around her breast, flicking her nipple and the other rubbing her clit.
“Oh Natasha! Oh baby, you look so good with my dick inside of you. Look at that bulge baby! You’re such a good girl taking all of me like this.”
The redhead moans reaching for your neck but you pull back and pull out.
You flip her over and she groans as you sit on the back of her thighs lifting her ass up. You lean down licking her tight little asshole as your fingers play with her pussy. She moans drooling against her pillow. “Ohhh fuck!” She sounds muffled against the pillow.
You slap her ass cheeks before slapping your cock against her puffy pussy. “You want my cock baby?”
“Yesss!” She screams into the pillow. “Please daddy!”
You smirk, pushing your thick long cock inside of her..
“Oh Y/N you feel so good daddy! So good!” She moans wiggling her ass against you.
“Hmm you feel good too Angel. I haven’t stopped thinking about you. The way you sound. The way you feel. My God Natasha I’m so addicted to you already. All I want is you.”
Natasha made sounds that would put a porn star to shame. She pushed into you using her elbows to arch her back. You help her up against your body. “Oh detka.” She moaned against your lips. “I’ve wanted you for so long.”
You push in deeper then out then back in as deep as you can getting a guttural moan from her lips.
“That’s it baby you can take it. You can take this dick can’t you?”
“Yes daddy! Yes! I love your big cock so fucking much!”
“This is the best pussy I’ve ever had. The fucking best.” You say cumming deep inside of her. “Ohhh fuuuck!”
She can feel the air from her lungs rush out feeling your heavy muscled body against hers. You grunt in her ear before rolling off of her.  She pants lifting herself up and rolling on her back. “Fuck that was so good baby.” She pants before looking over at you. Your cock is still rock hard and your looking at her like you never have before.
You reach out for her, bringing her on top of you.
“I’m still aching for you Natasha.” You say pushing her hair back before bringing her in a kiss.
“Then let me take care of it.” She smirked against your lips.
She makes her way down bringing your twitching cock in her mouth.
“Oh my- oh your mouth is amazing.” You breathed out feeling your toes curl. Her eyes never leave yours as chokes down your length.
“Fuuuck baby that’s enough I don’t wanna cum yet.” You groaned.
“Can I ride you now daddy?” She straddles you, rubbing her pussy against your length as you grope her breasts.
“Of course baby…That’s it princess rub yourself against daddy.”
Her eyes start to flutter close as she picks up her pace. She’s rocking against your throbbing cock as she falls against you kissing you.
“Hmmm!” You hum gripping her ass cheeks. “Fuuuck your ass is so perfect baby.”
Natasha reaches below angling her pelvis as before sinking against your cock.
You both hiss at the heat between your legs and she starts to rock slowly.
“That’s it, baby ride me.” You husk before she bites your lip.
“So good this dick is so fucking good. You’re so thick and long I can feel you stretching me out daddy.” Her pace starts to pick up and soon she’s bouncing on your cock. She loved watching how your body reacted to hers.
“Your pussy is choking and stroking me in the best fucking way.” You grunt.
“Ohhh Y/N!” She cries out steadying herself with both arms as she rocks as fast as she can. She gasps and gasps for air as she cums around your meat once again.
“That’s it baby take it and keep cuming on daddy.” You lift her up with ease before thrusting up inside of her faster and harder than she could do herself.
“Oh yesss! Oh fuck yesss daddy just like that don’t stop! Don’t stop fucking me!” She moans against your ear.
“Fuuuuck this you feel so good I’m about to cum… cum with me?” You ask and she nods quickly. Looking into her eyes you cum hard with her.
You both twitch in each others arms. “That was so damn good better than good it was fucking fireworks and shooting stars my God.” You pant feeling her kissing your neck before trailing up towards your lips languishly kissing as she tangles your legs.
She moans feeling you hump inside of her gently letting her ride out her high still.
She sighs against your chest her finger nails dragging softly against your abdomen.
“I could wash my clothes with these abs.” She smirks against your skin before repositioning her head to see you better.
“You can use them any time you want, angel.” You chuckled letting your one hand thread your fingers in her red tresses and the other graze her skin on her back.
You both lay in pure bliss not wanting it to end.
Her hair curtains around you as she kisses you softly. Your hand palming her perfectly sculpted ass.
“How is it that you are so beautiful, sexy, cute, and a naughty little good girl all at once?” You ask, breaking the kiss. She blushes looking away. You gently move her chin towards you.
“To lure you in my arms of course.” She smirked, kissing you once more.
“I have to go and pick up Fin from Wanda’s soon. Wanna join us for lunch? I’ll cook for you.” You ask, pushing a lock behind her ear.
Natasha whined into your neck. “I don’t want this to end yet.”
“Hey come on it doesn’t have to-“
“I want you to keep fucking me all day long.” She hums humping you.
“Hmm.” You hum at the feel of her tight walls.
“Please daddy one more time?”
You roll over on top of her fitting right between her legs. You slowly start to thrust into her.
“Dadddy! Oh Y/N.” She moans pulling you down against her body.
You take in the way she feels around you, and the way she looks blissfully full.
“You're so beautiful, Nat, you're gorgeous. I’ve never seen a woman like you.”
She was falling so hard for you. She just hoped you would catch her.
“Maybe we could go somewhere? Get out of town and not out of bed.”
The redhead smiled, kissing you softly. “I’ll go anywhere with you.”
You sighed digging your face into her neck sucking and nibbling as the pace of your thrusts increased.
“Oh baby.” Natasha groaned, feeling you twitch inside of her as you kiss her spot.
“I can’t believe we’re doing this.” You sighed.
“I’ve wanted you from the moment I saw you moving in. The way your muscles flexed. The way you smiled at me.”
You kiss her pushing yourself deeper and deeper.
“Especially when I caught you fucking your wife.”
“Wait what?” You chuckled pulling back and pausing your movements causing her to whine.
“Keep going don’t stop and I’ll tell you more.”
You chuckled darkly doing as she told you.
“Oh fuck yes babbbby.”
“Tell me more.”
“I saw how big you were and the way you’d fuck her. I would imagine it was me and touch myself with my toy.”
“My naughty girl.” You grinned kissing her once more.
“I’d wake up early just to watch you run so I could see the way your big dick would bounce in your shorts.”
“I saw you once. You had just gotten out of the shower your blinds were wide open. You bent over and all I wanted to do was show you how good I can be instead of your husband. I got in the shower and thought of you as I jacked off.”
“You thought of me?”
“Yes baby.”
“Oh my-“ Natasha moaned as she came around your cock.
“Give me two more baby.” You say picking up your pace.
“I’ll give you anything daddy.” She sobbed, feeling herself cum again almost too quickly..
“Shit that’s it love.” You both rolled around in bed until you finally pulled out, and turned her against you lifting up her leg from behind. You let your thick soldier enter her once more. She turned her head meeting your lips moaning at the way you felt around her body.
“Oh Y/N you make me feel so fucking good.”
“Yeah?”
“Hmhm.”
You leaned in kissing her before moving to her spine to her shoulders to her neck.
“I’m close, sweetheart.”
“Me too daddy.”
“Ladies first.” You whispered.
“Same time.” She shook her head.
“Okay Angel just tell daddy when.”
“Keep thrusting daddy just a few more.” She moaned as your hand explored her curves.
“You are the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen in my life. You’re so fuckin pure like an Angel.”
Her arm went back letting her hand scratch your scalp.
“I feel the same about you Y/N. I want you to fuck me like this every day.”
“Anything. I’ll do anything for you.”
“Come with me daddy.” She husked moaning against your mouth as you thrusted so hard you had to wrap both arm around her to keep her from flying away from you.
The moans and pants filled the room as your cum shot deep inside of her.
You curled into her kissing up from her arms to her neck and cheek.
“I love you.” She so desperately wants to say.
You’re both covered in sweat. Normally you’d want to cool off on your side of the bed but now you didn’t care. Truthfully you wanted to go again, but you know you really need to get Finley.
You both looked down at your combined juices seeped out of her tight little pussy.
She pulled you in a kiss slowly tasting your tongue.
“You’re so fucking perfect.” She husked. “Better than I imagined. I wasn’t lying about fucking you every day. I can’t go back to not having you at all.”
“I’m yours Angel I’m all yours.” You whispered, caressing her cheek.
You hold her for a while until you notice her sleeping. You eventually pull out and get up to clean her up a bit. You gently wipe between her thighs and get dressed.
“I don’t want you to go.” She says softly, startling you.
“Let me get my daughter and I’ll make you both lunch.” You smile.
She nods, sitting up.
You kiss her one more time after putting your shoes on. “I’ll see you in a few.” You smile before heading downstairs and out the door.
⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗ ⧗
“Natty!” Finley squealed.
“Hi Finny!” She smiled brightly lifting up your toddler as she babbled away.
“Papa look! Natty.”
You grinned, throwing your cooking towel over your shoulder. “Hey Natty.”
“Hey daddy.” She smirked, biting her lip. She desperately wanted to kiss you.
“No Natty, that's my papa.”
“You don’t want to share.”
“I share with Bethy.” She shook her head causing Natasha to let out her melodic laugh.
After lunch you watch Natasha teach Fin ballet and until its nap time for Fin.
“She fell asleep while we were doing a bit of yoga.” Nat whispered, holding your daughter up.
“I noticed.” You grinned as you led her upstairs to put Fin in her bed.
You were both walking back downstairs when you held her from behind. “You look so beautiful when you dance.” Your hands ran down her hips.
She hummed in response pushing her butt into you. “You’re so hard for me.”
“I couldn’t hold it anymore.”
She wrapped her hand behind your neck bringing you down in a kiss. “Think we have time?”
“We can make time.” You nod in response.
“Take me baby.” she husked.
You push your joggers down letting your member spring to life as she pushes her tights down. You shuffle over behind the sofa letting her hold on to something as you begin to rub her pussy with your fingers.
“Oh baby.” She sighs. “I love the way you touch me.”
“I love the way you feel and the way you make me feel.” You breathe her in as she pumps your meat.
“I’m ready for you daddy.” She bites your ear as you push inside of her.
You both quietly groan at the feel of each other.
Natasha bends over the sofa stretching her back but you pull her back up using one arm around her tight little waist and the other raised up to wrap your hand around her neck feeling her nipple against your forearm. She practically melts in your arms as you thrust your hips.
“How is it each time feels like the first time in the best way possible?” She mutters.
“It's the way we make eachother feel.” you admit.
“Fuck.” she bites her palm as she meets your rhythm.
“Natasha.” You husk against her neck. You wanna say those three little words so badly. You’re in love with her. You just need to tell your wife. You have to tell her it's over. You snap out of your thoughts as she brings you back in a sloppy kiss. You’re both growing closer and closer with each short stroke.
“Ohh Y/N.” She bites back her moan. “Just like that.” She mutters feeling her eyes roll back. “Cum with me.”
You grunt, squeezing her tightly as you cum inside of her. You kiss her neck before moving to her lips with a heavy sigh.
Natasha looks at the clock and feels her heart tighten. Quinn and Beth should be home in a little over an hour. She knows it's time for her to leave. She desperately wants to ask you what this all means, but she's scared it will only make you want to stop whatever this relationship is.
“What's wrong angel?” you ask as she pushes away from you lightly.
She refuses to speak instead she points at the clock heading to the bathroom to clean up.
You anxiously wait outside wondering if she wants to stop this thing between the two of you when you hear the door open.
“Nat-”
“Don’t make this harder for me Y/N.” She whispers walking towards the door.
“Baby.” You say bring her against you.
“Y/N.” She says against your chest.
“I’ll see you tomorrow night right? At Thors?”
She nods and you kiss her softly and leave another kiss against her forehead before letting her go.
Halloween Party at Thors
After finding you out back and sitting on your lap at the behest of Carol and Val of course.
Natasha could feel how hard you were and would wiggle her ass against you when the gang would look away.
You took her hand under your jacket, setting it on your cock. She rubbed you slowly.
“Fuck I’m so hard for you baby.” You muttered near her ear. “You look so fucking good in this catsuit. I gotta have you now.”
“Meet me in Thors bathroom upstairs.” She muttered before getting off your lap and leaving behind your jacket to cover your hard on.
“How ya doing Y/L/N?” Val smirked.
“I gotta take a piss.” You muttered walking back inside with your jacket.
“Oh they’re totally fucking.” Val muttered in her wifes ear.
“I can only imagine the steam coming off their hot bodies.”
“Call it a night and-”
“Yes.” Carol quickly said, pulling her wife up and out of the party without as much of a goodbye.
You watched as Quinn talked to Christine so you made a beeline for Thor’s bathroom upstairs.
“I told you Nat hasn’t stopped hooking up with Y/N.” Wanda huffed looking around.
“Maybe Y/N will tell Quinn and let her go?”
“I hope so.”
Meanwhile upstairs
You knocked and Nat opened the door bringing you in. Your lips and teeth met with a clash.
“You look so fucking good in this cat suit.” You squeezed her ass, slapping it with both hands.
“I knew you’d love it.” Nat smirked pushing you back a bit before dropping to her knees.
You watched with hooded eyes as she licked your second head. Your hand wrapped around her tresses just as she began bobbing her head.
“Fuuuuck!”  You groaned, you gently guided her all the way down your length hearing her gag a bit.
“Like this daddy?” Her voice was muffled.
“Don’t talk with your mouth full baby.” You smirked and her eyes darkened and she let out a muffled giggle. “Your mouth baby those lips… fuck.” You sighed holding on to the sink.
You watched as she worshiped your cock sucking the life out of you, and occasionally licking you up and down so slowly you’d twitch in her hand.
“Daddy will you lick me now? I’m so wet and sticky for you.”
“Fuuuuck yes come here baby.”
You lifted her onto the bathroom cabinet. Kissing her passionately before lowering her zipper letting your tongue lick all the way down her body. You slid her tiny little black thong out of the way feeling her tangy juices run down your tongue.
“Ohhhh fuck daddy your tongue is so good.”
“Hmmm.” You hummed burrowing a little bit deeper letting her legs drape over your shoulders.
She moaned humping into your mouth. “Oh daddy!”
You hummed in response, lapping her sweet juices up. You could go down on her for hours if you could. You could feel her fingers grazing our hair.
You began spelling out different things against her clit to make her jolt.
“Daddy.” She giggled, bringing your hands up to her breast. And the other she sucked on your thumb.
You began swiping your tongue just right she was like a fire hydrant ready to burst.
“Fuuuuck daddy right there… don’t stop, I'm so close! Ohhhh dadddddy!” She began humping your face, squeezing your hands against her as she came undone. She gasped for breath as you stood back up.
She licked herself off of you feeling your cock teasing her slit. You took her hand placing it on your member. “Slowly daddy.” She whined, inserting your tip causing you to hiss at her heat.
You barely push in before pulling out. Repeating it a few times hearing her mewing against your neck. “You’re so sexy Nat. Sometimes I can’t believe I’m here with you.”
She opened her eyes and brought your hand up from her chest to around her neck. “I love being your dirty little secret.”
“Oh my gosh.” You groaned, plunging yourself deeper and deeper.
“I love being your toy daddy. Fuck I love it so much.” She gasps at the feel of your hand.
You began thrusting into her at an alarming rate. Her moans grow so loud you cover her mouth to muffle the sound. Even though the bass of the music is loud you still don’t want to be caught.
“That’s it baby girl you’re taking me so well.” You moan seeing the tears in her eyes. You loosen your grip and let go but she keeps you there shaking her head. “I wish I had all night with you. I wanna keep going. I wanna feel you riding me like a cowgirl.”
She moaned, eyes rolling back as she came undone. You let go of her kissing her lazily as you thrust slowly. “Fuuuck I’m gonna cum soon.” She pushes you back getting on her knees.
“Fuck my mouth daddy. Fuck it how you please.” She brought you against her lips before opening wide.
She gripped your ass as you moaned, pushing deeper and deeper down her throat.
She gagged and you muttered. “Just a few more thrusts baby. Fuck your mouth feels sooooo good.” You tense feeling your cock twitch you give a few short thrusts before cumming in her mouth. “Ohhhh fuck that’s so good.”
You pulled and she stuck out her tongue showing you the thick cum that trailed down her tongue into her throat before she swallowed. You help her up before pulling her close against you.
“You're perfect.” You whisper, laying your forehead against hers.
“So are you detka.” She kisses you.
“We should probably get back down there.” You sigh.
“You should wash your face first you smell like me.” Natasha smirks.
You grin before doing as you were told. You bring her back against your chest.
“You go first.” She says against your chest.
You squeeze her one more time before kissing her lips and walking out the door.
You both inhale realizing the situation of it all. You’ve both been fucking behind Quinn’s back for the last month. Nat is all you think about. She’s all you want. You knew it was time to get a divorce lawyer.
Natasha turns and washes her hands and mouth.
You walk down the stairs and see Quinn laughing along with Christine. She definitely didn’t notice your absence. You grab a drink and watch Natasha follow suit.
A few days later at the fair
You look around making sure your daughter Beth is distracted. You lean in kissing Natasha softly. She squeezes your hand before breaking the kiss afraid Beth will see.
“This is almost perfect.” She says softly.
“Almost.” You agreed.
“Sing to me Paolo.” She smirks.
“I'll touch that fire for you
I do that three, four times again, I testify for you, I told that lie, I'd kill that bitch, I do what all of them around you scared to do, I'm not.
Long as you juggin' out here for me, I got it.
Mobbin', schemin', lootin', hide your bodies
Long as you dreamin' 'bout me, ain't no problem
I don't got nobody, just with you right now
Tell the truth, I look better under you
I can't lose when I'm with you
How can I snooze and miss the moment?
You just too important
Nobody do body like you do
I can't lose when I'm with you
I can't just snooze and miss the moment
You just too important
Nobody do body like you do, you do”
Natasha briefly checked for Beth’s attention before kissing you softly. You kissed her hand as the Ferris wheel started descending back down.
The rest of the night made Natasha feel like the two of you were together with a little family. It made her ready to finally tell you everything you deserved to know.
The next morning
“What’s wrong baby?” You ask.
“I can’t keep lying to you, we need to talk.”
“Okay…” you say.
“Y/N there’s some things you should know. One my marriage is a sham. Bruce and I married one another for my citizenship. He wanted to make his ex jealous and I just wanted to stay in the country.”
“Wait, you aren’t in love with him?”
“I never have been… are you mad at me?”
“No of course not I’m just confused as to why you never said anything I wouldn’t have told anyone.” You chuckled.
“I don’t know, I guess I was worried if I said anything you would have told Quinn and she definitely wouldn’t have let you be my friend. That’s not really what I’ve been scared to tell you.”
“Hey you shouldn't ever be scared to say anything to me.”
“Someone stole your chance at MIT, and I’m pregnant.” She word vomited all over you.
“Wait what?! No start over.” You shook your head.
“Tony checked with MIT to see why you got declined and found out you were accepted on a full ride but someone declined it.”
“What?” You said in disbelief.
“Could it have been Quinn?”
“Oh my gosh.” You sat back down in shock you couldn’t believe it. “I-…Yeah it could have been her.” You shake your head before holding it in your hands.
“I’m sorry baby. I’m so sorry.” She said rubbing your back. “You had your career stolen from you.l”
You began crying thinking about how Quinn could have done this to you.
“Oh, Y/N, baby.” Natasha brings you in her arms.
“Did/ Did you just say you’re pregnant?” You sniffled.
“Maybe.” She squeaked.
You looked at her as if to say ‘tell the truth’.
“Yes. I took 3 tests Y/N.”
“Wow. I thought you… couldn’t?”
“I was told all my life I couldn’t.”
“So this is a miracle baby?”
Natasha’s eyes started tearing up as she nodded with pursed lips.
“Nat, that's amazing.” You said softly, bringing her back in a hug.
“You’re not upset?” She asked.
“That you’re pregnant? No of course not that’s no one’s fault it just happened. It’s not our baby’s fault-“ Natasha cut you off kissing you as she straddled you.
“Hmm Nat hun we-“
“Make love to me Y/N.”
“Let me get a divorce first.”
“Wait-“ Natasha looked down looking for any lies.
“We’ve been sneaking around and I’ve sort of been feeling guilty about it. Quinn is the mother of my children even though she is semi evil she still deserves to know, and you deserve someone who isn’t married.”
“Baby.” She whispered softly, kissing your head.
“Natasha I’m in love with you.”
“I love you too!” She smiled leaning down to kiss your lips and her body began rocking. “I’m not sharing you with her anymore.”
“Hmm Nat no baby we should wait.”
“You just told me you love me. I can’t help it if I really want you to make love to me all night long.” She threw her head back arching her back.
“Hmm.” You sighed feeling your cock grow with need. “I want to. Oh fuck you have no idea how bad I wanna worship your body right now. Take my sweet time making this tight little pussy squirt all over daddy.”
“Then do it daddy. Show mommy how much you love her.”
“I can’t believe I got you pregnant.” You chuckled, kissing her lips.
“I’m so happy Y/N.”
“Just let me divorce her and we can finally be together.”
“You can move in here with me. I have rooms for the kids.”
“We might need an extra one for the baby.”
“I can’t believe it’s finally happening.”
Natasha didn’t want to wait. She unzipped your pants, pumping your cock a bit before pushing your inside of her.
“Oh my-” She kissed away your moans as she rode you faster and faster. She was so unbelievably horny for you.
“Oh daddy.” She husked, leaning her forehead against yours.
“Go on baby cum around daddys dick.”
“I love you so much.” She gasped.
“I love you too baby. So damn much.”
She moaned loudly as her hips halted her walls clamping tight around you. “Say it again.” She whines.
“I love you Natasha. I love you so much baby.” You groan as you palm her ass cheeks. “I love you, I love you, I love you and this luscious ass.”
She giggled, kissing you as you quickly laid her down against the sofa. Her legs widen and lock around you. You begin humping into her, feeling your cock twitching as her moaning begins getting louder and louder.
“That’s it my love let go.”
“Fuck me harder daddy.” She groans as you nibble her nape slamming down against her hips harder and harder as her hands grip your ass.
“Oh fuck I’m gonna cum baby.”
“Me too daddy. Keep going!”
You groan as you increase your motion going faster and harder with each stroke.
She locks you in place as she cums around your cock and you groan feeling her walls milk you dry.
“I’m telling her tonight my love I promise.” You pant.
A year later you divorced Quinn and now have a little bundle of joy in the next room with your soon to be wife.
“I can’t wait to marry you.” You sigh, holding Natasha from behind as she looks down at your baby.
“Me either.” She sighed leaning against you.
Finley was happy to have Natasha as a step mom. Beth wasn’t too keen on it but she will with time. As for Quinn, your relationship with her is strictly about the girls. She’s still sad you’re gone and upset that she lost you. But at least now she has Rachel to hold her when she cries.
You’ve never been happier with a great career ahead of you at Stark Industries, two beautiful daughters, a gorgeous wife, and a little baby in her arms.

THE DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND

Tumblr media
⊱ ────── {⋅. ✯ .⋅} ────── ⊰
Loving Ethan Landry was the worst mistake of your life. When you came to Blackmoore with your friends for college you thought life couldn’t get any better or worse. Until you met Ethan. He was never the perfect boyfriend but who could be?. He said he loved you so much it made him crazy, maybe he did, but you grew to hate him all the same, the lines blurring together.
Till one day you couldn’t take it anymore, your mascara smuged from all the crying you had done you gathered your things from Ethans apartment and left him a note.
‘Ethan, I’m so sorry but I can’t do this anymore’
Leaving it for him to find you rush to a taxi and to the apartment you bought under the table, Ethan would never know.
Except he did, not that you knew he did. He knew his sweet girl would try to leave him, but he wouldn’t let her, he couldn’t. So he let her sneak around, purchase that sham of an apartment, he watched her cry those sweet tears he loves to watch fall contemplating whether she should leave or go, hell he even let her get all of her things from their apartment and leave. He followed her hiding in the shadows with his mask and blade. Obviously he would never hurt her, only make her a little brain turn to mush.
You started to unpack feeling a little bit free, a little weight took off your shoulders. But still you felt as if a shadow was watching your every move. You felt as if envious eyes were boring i to your soul, so you turned around. Your windows were open yes, but you lived on the third floor and the apartment complex next to yours are vacant, no one lives there.
You bite your bottom lip and goosebumps rise from your skin, “No ones watching you.” You whisper to yourself, but for extra precaution you close the blinds to the curtain and finish unpacking.
But as days went on you still felt those eyes, the stare filled with envy breaking your skull in two. And soon you started seeing thing, ghost face sneaking in your peripheral and when you go to scream, to call the police, or to turn to catch it, it disappears. You felt crazy, you felt unsafe, you wanted Ethan. You never thought you’d want him after the things that had happened between you two. But now you needed him more than ever.
The more you waited the more you saw ghost face, then you heard him. Especially at night you could hear his harsh steps in the hallway, hear his knife scrapping the wall gently, you could have sworn that one night you saw his dark eyes shine in the shining moonlight.
You couldn’t eat, sleep, even breath without the sickening feeling off those dark eyes watching you. You could hear him in the walls, in the floors, everywhere. No where was safe.
You sat on your knees in front of your bedroom window, in you black nightie and only the dim light the moon grants you, your hands were stuck together holding a rosary as you kept your eyes closed. Your breaths were shaken as you could feel the devils eyes on you, on your body.
You could feel tears of fear pool in your eyes, your lips part and two word slips out as you open your eyes wide blown with fear as a tear falls free, “Please… stop.” And then the air in your throat becomes restricted as you feel a large leather-covered hand chokes you. And you felt a sharp point slid against you making you freeze from your action of trying to free yourself.
You look down and see the gleam of a dagger, you open your mouth to gasp but the restricted hand around your neck kept you from it. Your head began to spin due to the lack of oxygen just as you were on the brink of passing out the hand let go, gasping in air greedily before anything else happens.
The hand moves from your throat to your hair yanking it till you get to your feet, you dropped your rosary as he slung you to the bed, the attacker looks at you and you see it, ghost face. Your heart sunk and you tried to get off the bed but he raised their hand, pointing his knife at you stopping any of your antics to escape.
Then he looks at the ground and then t you tilting his masked head he picks the object he was looking at, your rosary. “Put it on.” A deep, familiar voice said from behind the mask. And then it sunk in and just as you go to speak he reaches for the mask dropping it and it seems your life had became a nightmare.
Ethan was ghostface, Ethan was stalking you. He knew everything.
His face had a twisted, sick expression on it with a grin on his face. He gives you the rosary and your hands, shaking put it around your neck. You refuse to meet his eyes but his covered hand caresses the side of your face and then goes in your hair, yanking it up making you look at him.
More tears fell and his smile just got more sinister. His face crept closer and his tongue flattened against your cheek licking the fresh fallen tears. Biting his bottom lip a low groan comes from his chest and shivers run up your back as you remember all of the times you and him were together. The way he used to whisper your name into your name, how your nails would dig into his back so hard sometime you drew blood. And then you remember how he isolated you cause he ‘loved’ you so much.
“You left,” he whispered darkly, his grip tightening around your hair making you hiss in pain. “E- I—‘m sorry I just—“ He cuts you off with a swift pull of your hair, you try to pull away but it just make the pain worse. “Couldn’t do it anymore, yeah I read the note, but the problem is,” he was talking through clenched teeth as he straddled you keeping you down.
“I never fucking asked you what you could or could not take, now your never going to fucking leave me again.” He gritted tapping the knife against your cheek. “You had no idea i was on to you the second you bought this shit show of an apartment, I even let you leave, bet when i showed up with the mask you were so scared you started wanting me huh?”
You look away in shame and embarrassment but pulled right back when he pulled your hair harshly once again.
He let go off your hair and his hands gripped your thighs making your eyes go wide in alert and you tighten them, but E was to strong he pulled tour legs apart and your night dress fell open showing your matching black underwear. He shifts his body until his head is stuffed between your thighs, kissing your pussy, whispering how he would never let you go again.
As much as you think needed him, you didn’t want him anymore. You thrashed your legs, getting one of your legs free you give him a quick kick to the face. “Ah, shit.” he groaned, he was distracted.
Giving you just enough time to run put of your room and straight through the living room, only mer steps away from the door you smile with hope.
But the hope quickly disintegrated as someone pulled you back, not someone, Ethan. He was always there, he will always be there. You cry aloud as he through you next to the coffee table in the living room. Straddling your hips making sure you can’t move this time, you look at him and he has fire in his eyes, his teeth and mouth stained red probably from you kicking him in the face.
He grips your shoulders lifting your back off the ground a little shaking you with every single one of his words, “Quit fucking running!” He seethes and you all you did was sob, wanting it all to stop, wanting to go back in time. His breathing was ragged as one of his hands goes up to your face grabbing your face, he tilts his head and smiles.
“You were always prettiest when you were crying, in agony, tears streaming down this beautiful face. As pretty as a doll, my little doll.”
You gulp as he kisses your neck, breathing in your scent. But you just take whatever he gives knowing there was no where without him.

Badge Bunny Part V
Masterlist Here!
Summary: It all comes to a head with Roy. Will Gator let the sins off his past dictate his future or will he be the better man that he knows you deserve?
18+ Only! Minors DNI!
CW: Reader is referred to as "Bunny" or "Bun". Minimal use of Y/N. Canon type violence. Gun use. Gator is wounded - no graphic detail. Mild angst. Smut! Unprotected P in V. Creampie.
WC: 8.7K
“Something's going down at the ranch. I think Roy's finally lost his goddamn mind. Feds are headed over there.” Andy rushed out, breathless as if he'd run all the way here, face a little bloodied and bruised. He was still in uniform, though it was dirty and disheveled, sans his duty belt.
“Gator?” You asked, already knowing the answer.
He nodded, gaze falling to the floor.
“He's been there all morning.”
“What's going on? And don't lie to me Andy.” Pushing your finger roughly into his chest.
“I want the full story. Not some half-truth bullshit.” Tired of sitting in the dark, you needed some answers.
You took him to the back so you could talk in private without the whole bar hearing about the sorted affair. They would all know soon enough. Small town gossip spreads like wildfire, especially if it involves the Tillman family in any way.
Roy had the entire ranch on lockdown. He'd somehow gotten wind of a traitor in his midst that was feeding information to the FBI.
Andy was an immediate suspect. After the entire incident with your kidnapping and sending those blood samples off despite Roy telling him not to, it had earned him a spot at the top of the man's shit list.
“They had me tied up in one of the sheds. If it weren't for Gator, I…” he swallowed thickly, as if he were reliving it all once again. “I don't know what Roy would have done. He showed me some tunnel on the back of the property. Helped me escape. I flagged down a car once I made it to the main road and had them bring me here.”
“Oh my God, Andy! Why didn't he come with you? What the fuck is he doing?” You groaned, swearing then and there if he made it out of this shit alive you were going to kill him.
“He told me to place a call to the feds and made me promise to make sure you stayed put. There's nothing else we can do.”
You stopped pacing back and forth looking at him with a dumbstruck expression.
“What? So, you are working with them?” Trying to wrap your head around everything that he was trying to tell you.
“No, Y/N. Gator is!”
Not even Roy could have seen it coming. Everyone pegged Gator as the Sheriff's idiot son. A fuck up so blinded by getting his father's approval that no one thought for a second he could have been the informant.
If Roy asked him to jump, he'd ask him how high but that all started to change a little over a year prior.
There was only one thing that would make him flip on the old man in a heartbeat.
You.
He'd asked you to trust him. Told you whatever happened it was for the best. Now you truly saw why. He was taking Roy down. It was his way out.
“Andy, how am I supposed to stay put when you know what Roy is capable of? If he even thinks for a second that it's Gator…” You trailed off. Taking a seat at the edge of Henry's desk to let the weight of it all sink in.
“I think he's got this. There's nothing else for Roy to do but surrender.” He tried to reassure you with a half-smile but you saw right through it.
You sighed, standing back up.
“Let me clean that cut up for you. It's the least I can do. You're a good friend to me and Gator.” You grabbed the first aid kit and went to work. It was deeper than you thought, probably needed a stitch or two but he was dead set on keeping the both of you here.
Tumblr media
After Gator helped Andy find the underground passage, he made his way back to the main house where he knew Roy would be waiting.
He took a deep breath before entering. Knowing his part, he has to play it cool just until the feds get there. He gave Andy strict instructions to let them know what they were going to be up against.
The kitchen was left in shambles. Roy told Karen and the girls to leave before they finished breakfast. At least he seemed to care enough to spare them from some of what he had planned that day.
From that point on it had been madness. He'd called in what was essentially his calvary. A lot of armed idiots that had no business holding a gun.
Somehow, he'd gotten word the FBI was coming to raid him. Gator was still unsure of where it actually came from, but he knew Roy had friends in high places.
He wandered down the small hall that led to the back of the house where Roy's office was, the door sitting ajar.
He didn't bother knocking, pushing it further open and taking a step forward. Roy's eyes shot up as soon as the door opened.
“Gator, what are you doing here? I told you to watch the goddamn shed with Bowman.” He hissed out.
“Yeah, uh… Andy and Bowman are both gone. Shed's empty.” His gaze fell to the floor briefly before looking back to Roy.
“Gone? Both of them?” His face flashing confusion.
“Yup. Suppose Bowman moved him? Ya’ give him the order to execute or somethin’?” He asked, trying to draw his suspicion.
“Fuck.” He gritted out between clenched teeth getting up and coming around his desk. “I didn't give any kind of order. Get your ass out there. Tell everyone to start looking for them.”
“Yeah, course.” Gator turned, making his way back down the hall and out to the porch telling the rest of the guys to start looking.
He was sure it had given Andy enough time to get to the highway. No one knew about that escape hatch except himself, Roy and the other being Bowman, who was currently unconscious and tied up in said escape tunnel.
He set about pretending to help look for the two missing men hearing the sirens in the distance, breathing a small sigh of relief. It would all be over soon.
As Roy stepped out onto the porch, pulling his hat down tight upon his head the caravan of black SUVs made their way down the highway stopping at the front gate.
He had the entrance blocked by his armed cohorts.
“Well, here we go.” He said, looking over to Gator with a sinister smirk.
“Dad,” he said, sounding more like a frightened boy than the man he was trying to be, as Roy turned back to look at him. “No one has to get hurt. Ya’ could just… just give yourself up.”
“Give myself up? You do realize you're going to prison too, right? It's not just me going down at the end of all this.” He fixed him with a glare before turning and mounting his mare. “Shut the hell up and find those two idiots.”
He nodded, biting his lip as he watched him mosey toward them, taking a leisurely pace as if he was unbothered by the entire scene. Roy seemed to see it as more of a nuisance than any kind of real threat.
He couldn't tell what was being said, so he made himself scarce trying to bide his time.
The feds already had a plan in motion. Gator told them about the hatch and tunnels that would lead them to the back of the property. It would be easy access and they could take everyone from behind while they were still occupied with the front gates. They knew once they had Roy the rest would give up without their so-called fearless leader.
Gator made his way to the back of the property, meeting about 10 men dressed in SWAT gear along with FBI Agent Joaquin.
“He's in his office, but ugh… y’guys mind if I have a word with him before ya’ barge in there?” He asked.
“I think we can spare a few minutes. I can give you head start but if bullets start flying, hit the deck.” He waved Gator off turning back toward his team ready to give their orders.
He made his way back to the house, hitting his vape trying to steel his nerves.
This time the door was shut, so he quickly rapped his knuckles against the smooth wood.
“Yeah?” Roy grunted, as Gator popped into view.
“Son, what the hell is it this time?” He was exasperated dealing with him for the day.
“I need to talk to you. Man to man.” He stated, coming to stand in front of his desk. Roy finally looked from the window to face him.
“Well, spit it out.” He hissed.
“The feds are on their way, already on the ranch. Thought it would be better to hear it from me.” Roy watched him intently but stayed silent letting him continue.
“If you had just left her alone.” He looked him dead in the eye as he spoke. “You tried to take away the one thing that matters most to me.”
Roy had gravely miscalculated just how much you'd meant to his son. He saw you as nothing more than a bump in the road assuming that Gator would eventually get bored of his new, shiny plaything.
He was losing that grip on him little by little thinking his only way to get it back was to get rid of you.
The kidnapping had gone according to plan, just like Roy intended, until it didn't. Those idiots he'd hired had gotten greedy. Threatened to let you go if they didn't get more money but before he could take matters into his own hands Gator had found you.
The FBI had reached out months prior, it was only after that stunt that he finally placed the call that set everything into motion.
“So, that's it then? Turn your own father in over what? Some fuckin' whore. I should have fuckin’ killed you a long time ago. You're nothing but a sniveling worm. I'm ashamed to even call you my son.” He was seeing red, reaching for his gun.
Gator grabbed his own, before Roy had the chance to flinch. His words had no effect on him. He'd all but given up hope of ever winning his father's affections and praise. He didn't care anymore. He had you.
“Don't.” He aimed right at Roy's chest, finger on the trigger. He never wanted it to end this way.
Shouting down the hall pulled Gator's attention for a split second, as his eyes drifted from their target giving Roy enough time to get his hand around his own pistol.
Two shots rang out as the swat team swarmed the house.
Tumblr media
“So, what should we do? How much longer do we just sit and wait?” You'd finally asked after thirty more agonizing minutes. You'd both made it back out to the bar, taking a booth in the corner.
Your knee was bouncing, unable to keep from chewing your nails and looking out the window every few seconds.
“He wants you to stay put. So, we'll stay put.” Taking another sip of his soda, watching you over the glass. “Don't even think about it.”
“What? I wasn't thinking about anything.” The way you glanced at your keys sitting next to you told him otherwise.
“Y/N.” He warned, with a glare.
“Fuck, fine.” You crossed your arms, continuing to look out the window with a huff. “I'm going to get a drink. You want a refill?” Asking as you got up.
You had your back toward the door when an SUV peeled into the parking lot. A woman with short, dark hair got out and made her way into the door.
“I'm looking for a Miss Y/L/N.” She announced, looking around the near desolate place as she removed her sunglasses.
You whipped around.
“Um, that's me.” Voice coming out meek. You knew she had to be FBI. You suddenly felt sick, preparing for the worst.
“I'm Agent Meyers. We need you to come with us please.” Her curt tone left no room for arguing as your eyes cut over to Andy. He got up and met you both.
“I'm Deputy Andy Tate. I'm the one that called you guys. You mind if I tag along?” He didn't want to let you out of his sight, even if they were supposed to be the good guys.
She looked him up and down before nodding.
“Sure, follow me.”
-
Agent Meyers wasn't much for small talk. She had explained you were needed but didn't go into detail. Apparently, it was a need-to-know basis, and you didn't need to know.
Your stomach was in knots as you watched the world pass by outside. Andy tried to soothe you, telling you it would all be okay, but every doubt was swirling within you.
As you pulled up to that familiar gate and picture-perfect farmhouse that was anything but, you saw they had people lined up and handcuffed on their knees against the fence.
They'd managed to round up and arrest everyone. As predicted, when they found out Roy was done, they all gave up without a fight.
There were two ambulances, one pulling off as you all pulled in the other parked directly in front of the house.
“Where is he?” You anxiously asked.
“He'll be over there.” You opened the door and shot out running before they had the chance to come to a stop.
“Hey!” Meyers yelled, but you didn't hesitate. You needed to see him. Needed to make sure he was okay, and your worst thoughts had not come to fruition; make it all tangible.
He finally came into view, sitting on a gurney at the back of the vehicle. His shirt was removed. They were bandaging up his shoulder as you shouted his name.
He turned, standing up as you slammed into his chest wrapping your arms around him as the tears began to flow.
He groaned with the impact, pain shooting through his shoulder and back, but he didn't care, wrapping his arm tight around you pulling you into him.
Roy had managed to shoot him in the left shoulder, while Gator's aim had been much more accurate. A shot straight into the gut. He'd been taken by the other ambulance for emergency surgery and then he'll be swept off straight to a federal prison halfway across the country.
“Gator… I …” You sniffed, looking up at him. “I thought…” Your hands roamed his chest, easing over his bandaged shoulder taking it all in. Cupping his cheeks, your thumb running under a slight bruise that was blooming under his eye.
He pressed your head back to his chest, kissing your temple.
“It's okay baby. I'm okay. We're okay.” His words soothing as they washed over you.
You just held each other for a few more minutes before someone cleared their throat from behind you.
“Sorry to break this little moment up but it's time to go.” Agent Meyers spoke.
Gator nodded, as you looked between the two of them.
“Bunny, look at me.” His eyes pierced yours as he spoke calmly.
“We’re going to be okay. But I have to go with them. There's a lot of shit I did, that I'm not proud of I still need to answer for.”
You knew what he meant. For all the good he did, there were still things he would have to pay for which still meant prison time.
“I'm proud of you.” You looked right into those soft, hazel eyes as you spoke. He looked so downtrodden, but you lifted his chin.
“I'm so proud of you baby!” You stood on the tips of your toes, smashing your lips to his. They were a little chapped but warm as you melted into him.
It suddenly crossed your mind this may be the last time you get to feel him for a while as his tongue grazes your bottom lip. Allowing him entry, you glide against one another so effortlessly it was easy to get lost in the moment.
You broke apart only to catch your breath. Whispered “I love yous” were spoken before he was handcuffed in front of you.
“Okay, Mr. Tillman.” Agent Meyers guided him to an SUV, sitting him in the back.
His eyes were filled with worry as they shut the door, mirroring your own. Andy sidled up beside you as they drove out of sight.

5 Months Later
“You don't have to keep coming every week.” The way it came out let you know he was tired but so were you. Tired of him acting like you were just going to give up and leave him to rot in a prison cell.
Since he'd helped the feds, they had given him a nice plea deal with a reduced sentence of 18 months. With good behavior, he might be out in 12.
It was the best he could have hoped for with all the involvement in Roy's dealings, but Gator had given them enough to send him away for the rest of his life.
It was still going to be agonizing but you wanted to be there for him every step of the way.
“Yes, I do. Who else is going to bring you these nasty cookies you love?” You teased. Packing another overnight bag for your 8-hour trek.
“Y’gonna make me fat, if ya keep bringin’ those.” He chuckles on the other end. “But seriously, if the drives gettin' to be too much, ya’ don't have to.”
“I don't have anything else to do. I know that sounds pathetic but it's true. All I do is work, and then come home. The only thing that's getting to be too much is how quiet the house is. I miss you.” You said it earnestly, sighing into the phone sitting on the edge of the bed.
“I'm sorry Bunny, if there had been another way…” he trailed off, sighing on his end as well.
“No. Don't start that. I am so damn proud of you, Gator Tillman!”
Of course, it was all over the front pages, but they left out the part where he had been an informant. Everyone assumed the very worst about him, just like Roy. But he was your hero.
If only you could see the grin that split his face any time you told him that. The way his eyes lit up. He had sought Roy's approval for so long, it felt refreshing to hear that he'd done something right from the one person who truly loves him for him. All the fuck ups, all the short comings he saw in himself that you never judged him for. You loved him. You were proud of him.
“I love you, be safe. I'll see ya’ tomorrow.” He had his one-minute warning come through the line.
“Ok baby. I'll see you tomorrow. I love you more!”
“Not possible.” He grinned again, as the line clicked dead.
He'd been sent to FCI Sandstone, a low security facility in Minnesota. It was a little over 8 hours from Lehigh. Thankfully Roy was sent halfway across the country to a maximum security facility so neither of you would ever have to cross his path again.
In the few months that he's been away, it's been a struggle. You were left on your own again, but you could breathe a sigh of relief. The entire town felt like a weight had been lifted. No one was looking over their shoulder fearing they might be on the bad side of Roy Tillman.
Andy was appointed interim Sheriff, since half the department went down with the raid. Andy and just a few others were left to pick up the pieces and start from scratch.
He was a good man. Gator made sure that he was never implemented in anything to do with Roy or himself. He was doing a great job, weeding out the few left behind and hiring new, upstanding deputies to help run things. There was no doubt he'd be running and win the upcoming election.
-
You had your routine down, leaving out every Tuesday afternoon after your shift. Hitting up the same motel halfway there. Waking up before dawn to go the rest of the way. Spending Wednesdays with him at the prison.
They'd give you one-hour allotments of visiting time. You'd been his only visitor.
You drive through the gates, flashing your smile and waving at the guards. They knew you by name at this point.
“Hey Bill!” You greeted the guard at the entrance.
“Hey, Y/N. Must be Wednesday.” He chuckled, waving you through the X-ray. You knew the routine. Tossing everything into the bin to go through, then yourself. Pat down examination and you were off to the designated visiting area.
You'd always sit at the table closest to the window, furthest away from the guards. It was quiet. No one bothered the two of you.
You sat the cookies in front of you. The one thing you had actually taken the time to learn how to make and you'd gotten good at it. He loved them.
You were staring out the window, when the buzzer went off alerting you to the door being opened.
He walked out, hands cuffed in front of him wearing that prison issued bright orange jumpsuit you were now so accustomed to seeing. His hair was never slicked back anymore, but he kept the cut the same. Soft brown locks hung down against his forehead.
He donned that crooked smile that made your heart melt as he made his way over to you.
“Hi baby.” He sat across from you extending his hands as the guard unlatched the cuffs. He rubbed his wrists before placing his hands to the table.
“Brought your favorite.” Shaking the Tupperware in front of you, then sliding it over.
They allowed some touching in the visitor's area but not enough. You longed to push the hair from his face and kiss those lips you've missed.
He took the lid off and immediately dove in, taking a cookie and humming around the sugary taste.
“I think these get better every time, Bun.” Finishing it before looking back at you, a crumb at the edge of his lip. You reached up, and brushed it away with your thumb, lingering just a moment.
“God, I miss you.” You whispered, dropping your hand as he reached across the table intertwining his fingers with yours.
“I'm right here, and hey, if I stay off the naughty list I get conjugal visits next month.” He said, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively making you laugh and roll your eyes fondly.
“As much as I would love for you to fuck me senseless, you know that's not what I mean.”
“I know, baby.” The grip on your hand becoming a little tighter.
You fell into an easy conversation. You always told him about what was happening since he left.
“Spoke with Andy. They're expecting and he's absolutely over the moon. They're still planning on getting married, but they're going to wait until after the baby.”
You were still talking but he was hung up on that first part. He felt like a failure all over again. That could be you and him. Happy. Engaged, maybe even married. But no. He was stuck here because of all the stupid choices he had made long before he'd met you. He knew he didn't deserve you.
You stopped talking when you noticed his crestfallen appearance. Eyes glossy, and pouty lips.
“Hey, what's wrong?” You shook his hand lightly. “I know that look. Don't.”
“It's just…” he began but you cut him off. He got like this from time to time.
“I know what you're thinking. Stop, ok. We'll get our happy ending once you get out of this place.” You smiled.
A happy ending. What you truly wouldn't give. You'd both been through too much to not see this through.
“Plus, I'm moving closer. I can get another job, another place to live. We don't have to go back to Lehigh. Nothing ties us to that place.”
“Bunny,” his gaze softened. He truly didn't deserve you.
“Nope. I know what you're going to say. I've already made up my mind.”
“Fine, just make sure to clean out the house good before you do. Attic too.” You looked at him with confusion, knowing you had never stored anything up there.
He simply smirked and winked at you.
“Um… ok weirdo. If you say so.” You eyed him warily. “I…”
“Tillman, times up!” The guard shouted, interrupting you.
“I’ll call you tomorrow to make sure you got in, sweet thing.” He said, winking before his hands were cuffed once more.
You watched as the guard led him away. It was always inevitable, but it didn't hurt any less each time.
Tumblr media
It scratched at the back of your mind on the drive home. He was so adamant about checking the attic. It was going to bug you the entire way.
This time you wouldn't stop halfway to rest. Making the drive back to Lehigh in one go, making a few gas station runs but nothing more.
You got in late that night, feeling dead on your feet as you walked into the house throwing your bag on the couch making a beeline for the hall where the access to the attic through the ceiling lay.
You reached up, straining, barely grabbing the thin string but you were able to pull it down as it fell open with a creak.
You took the rickety steps one at a time, grabbing your phone to use as a flashlight. Your head popped up looking around but not immediately seeing anything. To your right, there was a duffle bag you didn't recognize but this must be what he was alluding to.
Your hand gripped the handle, it was fairly heavy, as you brought it back down slowly, placing it on the kitchen table.
Taking a deep breath, you tugged the zipper, gasping when the contents were finally revealed.
The bag was full of cash. More than you'd ever seen at one time in your life.
What you hadn't known is that Gator found that bag when he had rescued you, immediately recognizing it because it was the same one, he had seen at Roy's a few days before it all went down.
That was his turning point. The final nail in the coffin. If Roy could do this to you, there was really nothing he wasn't capable of.
The feds had been whispering in his ear for a few months. After you had broken it off that morning, that was his first call. Even if the future with you was uncertain, he had to keep you safe and taking Roy down was his only choice.
As the initial shock wore off you noticed an envelope sitting to the side.
You tore it open immediately to find a handwritten note.
Bunny,
I figured sooner or later you'd find this before I got out. Knowing you, you're ready to high tail it out of Lehigh and I don't blame you.
Get out of Lehigh, you deserve better than this. Better than me. I never understood why you stuck around, you're too good for me.
On the off chance you still love me, there's enough to get you by until I get out, if you want to wait for me. I understand if you don't. I'm writing this knowing what lays ahead of me.
I know you're going to be pissed, but I did it for us. For our future, if you'll have me. I know I should have done it sooner, and I'm kicking myself for writing it in a letter instead.
There's a velvet box hidden in my sock drawer, if you haven't found it already. I promise I'll ask you proper once I get out. I love you Y/N, more than anything.
Love, Gator
PS- Got your necklace fixed. Missed seeing it around your neck.
Tears began to stream down your face as you clutched the letter reading it over once more before your feet started carrying you toward the bedroom you once shared with him.
You hadn't touched any of his things since he'd been gone. So, you'd never happened upon the small velvet box he was referring to.
You shoved his socks out of he way until your fingertips brushed up against it. You hesitantly pulled it into view, holding it in your hand until you sat on the bed.
You were still crying as you lifted the edges. Your necklace slipped out, catching it before it hit your lap. It had been broken during the kidnapping but with everything that had gone on since you hadn't thought about it but were now grateful to see it again.
Your eyes roved over the ring that was held within. It was simple, modest by most standards, but it was perfect. You'd never expected this from him.
It was a thin, gold band with three diamonds. A center cut with two smaller ones flanking each side. You hesitantly lifted it from the box, sliding it down your ring finger and holding it up to examine it more closely, as it caught the light and sparkled with your movement.
Finally, you clasped the thin gold chain back around your neck, holding the delicate “G” between your fingertips once more.
You knew he'd be calling around noon the next day, expecting you to have stayed at the hotel overnight. You had an idea, not letting on that you'd found everything laid out for you, instead surprising him on your next visit.
Tumblr media
It was bittersweet, packing up your things and getting ready to leave Lehigh. The first home you shared with someone you truly loved.
Since you'd let him know you were moving to Minnesota to be closer to him, it had been a whirlwind of emotions and planning. Your next weekly visit was tomorrow.
In a week's time you had already found a small apartment for rent not far from the prison that would be perfect until he was released so you started the packing process.
During your calls, you'd never let on about the duffle bag. He couldn't say anything, so there was no way he'd mention it over the phone which played to your advantage. Keep him waiting and wondering.
Today when you walked through the gates you were positively giddy. Not only were you surprising him, but this would be your first conjugal visit.
Unlike before, they led you to a small room in the back of the prison. It provided privacy with a small bed and seating area, a counter dividing the room in two.
You were instructed to sit. They'd bring him in.
Your knee was bouncing with anticipation at the thought of finally being able to touch him after 6 long months of waiting.
The feel of running your fingers through his hair, his arms wrapped around you in a warm embrace, vibrating at the thought.
You moved the container of cookies to the small table in front of you as the door swung open.
Gator stepped in, a wide grin splitting his face, as he walked further into the room. His eyes never left you, licking his lips as he turned his body toward the guard so they could unshackle him.
“Alright Tillman, you've got an hour. Just be dressed by the time I get back.” He nodded, “ma’am” leaving the two of you alone.
“Hey, sweet thing!” He rubbed his wrists, watching you ease up from your seat crossing the room, quickly advancing toward him, barely giving him enough time to move his hands out of the way before you pummeled into his chest throwing your arms around his waist pulling him into a bone crushing hug.
“Damn Bun! Miss me that bad?” Letting a small chuckle escape, circling his arms around you, kissing the top of your head.
“You know I miss you!” Melting further into his chest. The fabric of his worn, orange jumpsuit scratched at your face, but you just buried it deeper, breathing him.
You held each other for a few moments before finally lifting your head. As your eyes met, he moved his warm, calloused palm to your cheek before he moved in letting his lips crash to yours, nose pressing into your cheek as he tilted his head pulling you further into him.
He immediately deepened it, hungry for more. His tongue darts out, licking at your lower lip as you part your mouth for him. You hummed at the taste of him, almost making you weak in the knees and rushing a spark to your core.
You finally broke apart, panting as your foreheads came to rest together.
“It would have been a yes, you know.” You whispered. “You should have just asked a long time ago.”
His brows knit with confusion as he pulled away to look down at you, his eye catching the glint of gold around your neck immediately cluing him in to what you meant as his gaze softened, and a lopsided grin returned to his face.
“Yeah? That so?” He reached for your left hand, pulling it into view. The ring was situated on your hand perfectly. “So, you still want to be with me?”
“Of course I want to be with you! I love you, you idiot! And you absolutely are asking me properly once you get out of here!” You giggled as he lifted you excitedly, peppering kisses all over your face as you tried to squirm away from the sudden onslaught of affection.
“So, does that mean I'm fuckin' my fiancé today?” Setting your feet back on the ground.
“God, is that all you're worried about?” Rolling your eyes, slapping at his chest.
“No. But Bun, I'm dyin’ here. It's been six fuckin' months.” He suddenly pressed his hips into you, his already hard length pushing into your lower stomach.
“Sure you haven't fallen for your burly bunkmate? I know it can get really lonely in here.” You laughed, as he groaned.
“Real cute, Bunny.” He was walking you back as he spoke, suddenly lifting you up on the small counter stepping between your legs and crashing his lips to yours once more.
The kiss turned more heated as you both tilted your heads, melting into each other as you wrapped your legs around his waist and pulled him further into you by the collar.
He began to trail lower, kisses to your jaw to that little spot below your ear that has you releasing a breathy moan that instantly has his cock twitching between you.
“Oh fuck, I've missed those sounds.” He hissed out, helping you shed your jacket letting it fall unceremoniously to the floor reattaching his lips to you, trailing hot, open mouthed kisses down the side of your neck.
Your fingers trailed up his chest finding the zipper on the orange jumpsuit you've come to loath, slipping it down as he let you pull it from his shoulders, letting it fall open to his waist. He wore a plain white shirt underneath, fisting the material in your hands as he pulled your hips closer to the edge of the counter.
His hands drifted under the fabric of your top, sending goosebumps across your flesh, as they roamed higher. Raising your arms to let him discard it alongside your jacket.
He's quick to drift to the clasp of your bra, undoing it with ease, letting the fabric fall away from your chest as his large palms engulf your soft flesh, kneading it a little roughly only spurring that now prominent ache between your legs when his thumbs graze over your nipples causing your back to arch further into his touch.
“Oh fuck, baby!” You moan out, gripping the bottom of his shirt trying to pull it up. You were needy. It felt like a lifetime since you'd been able to give him so much affection. Feel his warmth, skin to skin, lips skimming over your soft flesh. Reacquainting with each other's bodies.
Once his shirt was discarded, his hands traced your curves sending a shiver through you.
Your eyes caught the scar on his shoulder that hadn't been there before. A harsh reminder of what he's had to go through.
He follows your eyes, as your fingertips trace over the bit of gnarled, dark flesh.
“I would take a million more as long as I knew you were safe.” Whispering between you.
“I know you would. I just wish you didn't have to. I love you.” Whispering back, moving forward to place a kiss there before placing another to his lips that quickly turned heated once again.
You pushed at the jumpsuit, he helped you discard it and toe off his shoes as you worked quickly on your jeans.
Once his attention came back to you, he helped you lift your hips and slide them down your legs. His hands were immediately back to you, roaming any of your exposed flesh he could reach.
He took a moment, pressing his lips to your forehead, hand to your jaw.
“I've missed you so fuckin’ much Bunny. I love you.” Leaning his forehead to yours, closing your eyes, feeling the warmth of his palm to your cheek.
“I've missed you too.” Whispering as he captured your lips once more, less rushed. His lips glide across yours, tongue ghosting along your bottom lip begging for entry as you parted them. Tongues moving against one another in a slow, passionate dance.
He closed the small gap, as you wrapped your legs back around him. His clothed length pressing into your core as your hips seemed to move on their own accord grinding down against him, catching your clit on the downward movement eliciting breathy moans from both of you.
His hand slips between you, finding the damp spot on your panties, pressing the pad of his thumb into the soaked fabric.
“Bunny, you're so wet. All this f’me? Fuck, I'm a lucky bastard.” He hissed out, finding the edge of your underwear pulling them to the side and letting his fingertip trace your slit before pushing at your aching entrance only breaching slightly, making your hips chase his hand for friction. He trailed up, finding your swollen clit as the pad of his thumb swiped deftly before pulling away. The band of your panties snapping back into place.
“You wanna move… this over t’the… bed?” He rushed out between pants and feverish kisses.
“Please.” You manage to get out before he's gripping your ass, hauling you up and over across the small room without his mouth ever leaving yours.
His knees find the small bed and tosses you down. The springs are a little hard and unforgiving squeaking under your weight with a small bounce that makes you giggle all the same as you lean back to stare up at him.
He's long and lean, looking a little more toned than you remember. Boxers doing nothing to hide his raging erection. His hard cock straining against the fabric, now eye level with you.
You reach up, tracing a finger down the length of him, leaving him gaping and throwing his head back.
“Fuck, I need you.” He hisses out, as you gingerly reach up pulling his boxers down his toned legs, finally releasing him. His length bobs against his abdomen, standing at full attention. Your cunt clinches at the thought of getting him inside of you. Never satiated properly for the last six months you were aching.
He didn't miss the way your thighs rubbed together as he looked down at you, as you took him in your hand, bringing your lips to his soft, ruddy tip, placing a soft kiss there before shifting your head as you ran your tongue up his entire length.
“Oh fuck, baby.” He pulled your chin up to look at him, as you smirked. “Hey sweet thing, as much as I would love to have your mouth, I need your pussy.” The end came out as almost a growl as he began to ease you back onto the bed, his fingertips grabbing at your panties as he practically ripped them from your legs as you heard an audible rip but you didn't mind as he tossed them somewhere across the room.
Crawling between your thighs, parting to accommodate him eagerly. His thick chest hair rough against your nipples, as he presses himself to you taking his length at the base, suddenly running it up your soaked folds making you moan out and arch further closing any gap between you.
“That's it baby. Need it as much as I do, huh?” He hummed, bumping your clit on the way up that made you whine as he captured your lips once more, lining himself up as his head catches your dripping hole.
Your hands grip at his back, running your fingers through the short locks at the nape of his neck pulling the strands when he pushes himself in an inch more.
The toys at home could never fill you the way he could with his thick, long cock. It began to sting as he pushed further. A moan caught in your throat, as your head hit the back of the bed, mouth going slack at the feeling.
“Goddamn, Bunny. You're so… mmmph…. Fuckin' tight.” He grits out, face turning soft once he looks up to notice your brows pinched tight.
“Hey, Bunny. Relax f'me, baby.” He coos, cradling your jaw, thumb rubbing soothingly under your bottom lip.
“I'm relaxed, you're just a lot, baby.” You finally say, opening your eyes gazing into his lust blown irises, nearly black save for the thin mossy ring around the outer edge.
“Yeah?” Lopsided grin returning. “Too much for that tight little cunt?” Not letting you answer before finally burying himself completely as your nails dig into his back with a near pornographic moan escaping your lips only spurring him on.
He slowly pulls out, feeling your walls stretch and flutter around him before quickly plunging back in, feeling impossibly deeper before rocking his hips into yours at a brutal pace.
The stretch and sting slowly subsides giving way to pleasure as he pushes in and out, a fresh wave of arousal soaking you both. You can't suppress the filthy moans falling past your lips.
“That's it baby, let them know how good I'm fuckin' MY pussy. Ya’ don't have to be quiet in here.” He continues roughly pushing his hips into yours as you gasp and writhe beneath him. The sounds of your slick as he drives into with each thrust would have you blushing, but you were too wrapped up in the feel of him to care.
The way your walls were sucking him in and pulsing around his cock, like you were made just for him, was enough to make him cum right then and there.
“Mmmph, Gator you feel so… g-good.” Managing to squeak out, the head of his cock continually massages that spot on your frontal wall with ease.
“Missed this pussy so fuckin' much. Been dreamin’ about the day I could… fuck… cum in her again.” His thrusts get more urgent, as your pussy flutters around him once more.
“Yeah, Bunny? Want my cum? Stuff you full until you can't take anymore?” You whimper at his words, that coil within you winding tighter with each in and out motion working you both toward your high.
He nips at the soft skin at your bared throat, gaining your attention.
“Huh, bunny?”
Barely able to think or speak at this point, you nod at his question knowing he wants an answer. He moves his mouth higher, taking your bottom lip between his, sucking lightly before letting it go with a slight pop. He loved you like this. Too cock drunk to speak and about to fall apart only for him.
He moves his hand between you, expertly finding your clit, as he begins rubbing circles against you working in tandem with his thrusts bringing you closer to the edge. Your back arched off the bed, crying out.
“Fuck! Don't stop!” You huffed out.
“Wouldn't dream of it, sweet thing. Need you t’cum f’me. Gonna leave you so full I'll be leaking out of ya’ for days.” Another whimper slipped out, just as that coil began to snap.
You didn't have time to warn him before your pussy clamped down around him.
“Oh fuck! There she is.” He hissed out, taking his hand from you so he could pound you into oblivion, chasing his own release while working you through yours.
Your nails dig into his shoulders, sure they were drawing blood at this point from the grip you had on him. Your orgasm hit so hard that your toes curled as sparks flew behind your eyelids.
A few more thrusts and he follows behind you, his dick throbbing and kicking up inside of your tight channel as his balls tightened, painting your walls with his spend. He continued to fuck it into you, cursing and panting before collapsing onto your chest.
“Oh fuck Bunny. Goddamn, I missed you.” It came a little muffled, his lips pressed up against you where his head lay in the crook of your neck.
“I missed you too, baby.” You hummed, as he finally pulled his softening cock from you, laying on his side, so you could be face to face kissing the tip of your nose and pulling you close.
“You're an idiot, if you thought I was going to run. We've come too far to give up now.” You whispered, with warm affection and brushing his hair softly from his forehead before leaning in for a kiss before you were so rudely interrupted with a loud knock.
“10 minutes Tillman!” The guard shouted through the door.
“Fuck.” He hissed, leaning his forehead to yours. “That went by too fast.”
“Yeah, it did.” You giggled, kissing his cheek, sitting up.
“Hey,” grasping your hand, once more looking at the ring on your hand. “I’m sorry ya’ fell in love with such a fuck up.”
“I'm not. You're a good man, Gator Tillman. You just needed a push in the right direction. No one ever thought you were a fuck up except Roy and look where he is.” You placed your arms around his neck, pulling him in for a kiss.
You finally pulled away to get up and get dressed, as he followed suit knowing your time was dwindling.
“You better grab a cookie, while you still can.” Pulling your shirt back over your head.
“Bun, I got my sugar fix.” Grabbing you from behind, pulling you back into his chest, kissing your cheek as you melted into his touch. “Just needed my sweet thing.”
The door swung open, jarring you both from a few moments of bliss.
“Thank God your dressed.” The guard sighed and laughed as you both rolled your eyes.
You faced him quickly, stealing away one more kiss.
“I'll be back next week.” Smiling softly.
“I know, baby.”
You watched him go, winking at you before he walked out the door.
Tumblr media
The next few weeks were a blur, seemingly going by in the blink of an eye.
You had said your goodbyes in Lehigh. Henry throwing you a small going away party for the hell of it. There were a few tears and lots of well wishes. Of course, Maggie made you promise to keep in touch.
You could have easily used the money that Gator had supplied for the next couple of months, but you didn't see a reason to waste it all. Using it more for a nest egg for the both of you.
Finding a job wasn't difficult. Every bar or diner usually had a high turnover, easily securing a waitressing job at a diner not far from your apartment.
Life went on for the next few months. Seeing Gator weekly, phone calls every other day to get you by.
As it drew closer to his incarceration hitting the one-year mark, you became anxious. The parole board would be looking at a possible early release and you had hoped the feds would put a good word in for him, but it wasn't a given.
“So, by this time next week we'll know if you're finally a free man?” Phone pressed to your ear, sitting on a wooden crate by the dumpster out behind the diner.
“Yup. Warden told me yesterday that the parlor board was already reviewing the case.” He sounded hopeful but you weren't convinced.
“That’s great baby.” Voice coming out a little weak, ready for all of this to just be over and done with.
“Cheer up, Bunny. I have a feelin’ it'll all work out.”
You hoped he was right. Never failing to believe what came out of his mouth. He had a way of sounding so sure of everything.
Tumblr media
The day of the hearing, you sat by the phone practically chewing your nails down to the quick. Busying yourself with whatever would distract you, but it wasn't working, as you found yourself glancing at the nearby clock every few minutes the closer it drew to noon when the hearing would begin.
You knew it may be a while before you would hear from him, but anticipation and anxiety were getting the better of you.
12:15, 12:30, 12:45
Still no word. It felt like torture, every agonizing second drawn out.
Suddenly that familiar number popped up, quickly pressing that green button with frenzied energy.
“This is a call from Sandstone Correctional Institute. To accept this call from Gator Tillman please press 1.”
You held your breath as it connected him over.
“Bunny?” His almost breathless voice came through the line.
“Hey, baby. I'm here.” You rushed out, heart pounding in your chest.
“I'm coming home.”
Home. Such a funny notion to him now.
He didn't think of the house on the ranch or even Lehigh. He only pictured you. Your kind smile that captivated him the first time he laid eyes on you. That unruly mouth that could knock him down a peg but was heaven all the same. He loved everything about you.
The only person that had ever made him feel truly loved.
He was coming home to you.
-
Processing was completed and 48 hours later you were sitting outside the prison gate, leaning against your car.
The loud buzz signaling the gate opening grabbed your attention as he strolled out. That cocky demeanor was still intact, dick first, head held high; smirking when he spotted you across the lot already running toward him.
You jumped straight into his open arms, being fully enveloped by him burying your head into his chest. It was like you could finally breathe for the first time in months.
“It's finally over?” You spoke timidly, holding tight as if he might be wrenched from your grasp.
“It's over.” A simple but all-encompassing answer; both free to live the lives you want.
“So, where to handsome?” Starting the car and looking over to him.
“Well, I thought we could make a stopover in Scandia.”
You quirked an eyebrow his way.
“Uh… My sister, Nadine, well Dot reached out to me a couple of days ago. Thought we might swing by.” He smiled and shrugged.
“You have a sister?”
“Yeah. Well, she was also my stepmom. Long story.” He chuckled.
“Gator, what the hell?” Rushing out with a look of abject horror on your face.
“Bunny, it's not what you think. I can tell you all about it on the way. She's expecting us for supper.” He leaned over, kissing your cheek.
“God, your family is more fucked up than I thought.” Pulling out of your spot and getting onto the highway.
He grasped your hand, lacing his fingers with yours.
“Yeah, but you still agreed to marry me.” He grinned.
“I haven't agreed to shit. You still have to ask.” Giving him a smirk in return but admiring the ring proudly situated on your left hand. You wouldn't trade him for the world.
You'd gone through literal hell, and you weren't about to let him go now. It didn't matter where the two of you ended up as long as you were together.

oh and I hope you don't mind (we can share my mood) 11k by @thkingslayer
“You make presumptions, your highness.” “I do not. I know how unwanted I am by you, Lady Sansa.” Her mouth opens as she struggles to find the words to tell him it isn’t true. She’s a lady. She would be nice if he would. She just wants— She just wants— -- When the king travels north, Sansa takes an immediate liking to Prince Aegon. She does not, however, want anything to do with her cousin Prince Jon—the brooding, dark haired, younger brother. She's quite sure he does not want anything to do with her also. And by the Old Gods and the New, she will not let him ruin her mood.
Dawn 19k
Like her mother before her, Sansa will do her duty. She will marry a man who is practically a stranger, mere days before he sets off for war.
All That Glitters 3k by @rumaan
Sansa is annoyed she has to give up a day with Prince Aegon to show his boring younger brother around Winterfell. Some alone time with Prince Jon makes her re-evaluate her opinion.

Sansa bursts into his solar in a swirl of skirts, her precious courtesies forgotten. Jon remains seated behind his desk, earning a scowl from his lady wife.  “What did you say to Jeyne?” she demands. “Nothing.”  It’s not entirely true, but he is still too furious to be cowed in his own damn solar.

Lyanna Stark survives, and Jon and Aegon are half-brothers. Jon is in a hastily arranged marriage with Sansa Stark. They get on each other's nerves constantly during the day, but their nights are a different matter.
What a Disappointment 7k by @justadram
Sansa Stark and Jon Targaryen are married and neither of them is pleased about it. Set in a world where Rhaegar lives and Jon was raised in King's Landing as a legitimized bastard.
lights still shining in the room, you left me here 11k
Perhaps at one point, her marriage to Jon had become less of a sham. But with a history of three dead children between them, even the strongest of unions would break, let alone one as fragile as theirs. When Sansa tries to save herself, her actions lead to some interesting revelations.

Sansa does not get the wedding night that she longed for and has to fix it
Tell the Ones That Need to know (We Are Headed North) 10k by @vixleonard
After years of confinement in the Red Keep with Ned prisoner in the black cells, the Dragon Queen comes. With the knowledge that Jon Snow is actually a Targaryen, she agrees to let the Starks return to Winterfell only if Jon marries one of the Stark daughters. Sansa volunteers so they can all go home. Soon she figures out being married to Jon isn't bad but it is complicated.
half a kingdom and a princess 2k by @misshoneywheeler
“Guess you’re stuck with me, old girl.” Old girl. He’s never called her that before. He’s never called her anything but Sansa and my lady, or sometimes Lady Stark, a title that gives them both discomfort as Lady Stark is still Sansa’s mother to each of them. Something in Sansa thrills at the strange endearment, though she should – and may – protest at being called such a thing. There’s just something so familiar in the words, in Jon’s soft affection as he says them. Something intimate and real.
A Convenient Inconvenience 4k
Once Daenerys takes the Iron Throne she knows the battle is only half over. Now that she has the throne she must keep it. Since she cannot have heirs of her own she names her new half-brother, the former Jon Snow, now Jon Targaryen, the Crown Prince. And a prince needs a princess which is where Sansa Stark comes in. The pair marry yet it takes months for Jon to realize that Sansa thinks of their relationship as more than just a duty.

Nancy & Eddie; Nancy & Wayne; 1.4k; post-S1; the melancholy of Christmas; grief/mourning
That night, after Steve goes home and the leftovers are put away and the voices from Mike's walkie talkie murmur through the walls, Nancy creeps past the gleaming tree in the living room and out the front door.
The dark of the sky is gray with the potential for overnight snow and her layers of shirt and sweatshirt and coat and scarf and gloves keep the cold from permeating too quickly, but her cheeks pink over before she reaches the end of the cul-de-sac, let alone her destination.
She shouldn't be out this late. Her mother would hate it if she weren't wine drunk and sleepy enough not to notice, and there's not a good place for Nancy to do what she needs to do, but it's also not an optional thing.
It's not, to her.
There's no grave to visit at the cemetery, because Barb isn't dead to anyone else the way she is to Nancy, but she goes there anyway. Has been. Will continue to.
She's making do, in this and in so many other ways, and so she tries not to feel the utter not enough-ness of the little stack of stones she's built in a lopsided pyramid under a big oak tree with far-stretching branches right at the highest point of the cemetery.
She tries not to think about how she can't add Barb's name to this sham of a grave, can't even call it that when Barb's body is trapped somewhere she can never reach and thus can't bring home either.
Nancy just lowers herself to the cold, hard earth and goes about straightening the pile again, as she always does. She uses them as a barrier this time, a little fenced-in square to hold up the poinsettias she'd stolen from the centerpiece that had sat in the center of their Christmas dinner.
Her hands tremble. She lets them.
Her swallow grows thick. She lets it.
Her tears do not fall. They stay caught in her gut where the rest of her guilt resides, the rest of all her worthless searching, the rest of the hope she never got to mourn for fear of seeming ungrateful for the return of her brother's best friend.
Nancy sits here in front of her makeshift memorial and she does not cry, because there are no tears, and she does not speak, because there are no words, but her heart screams loud enough to shake the town apart.
Her soul wails and laments and begs. She lets it.
She lets it be loud enough that she doesn't hear the footsteps coming up behind her until there's the quiet clear of a throat and question of--
"Hate to bother you, kiddo, but can I bother you a moment?"
Nancy startles, both at the gentle gruffness of the self-contradictory question and the realization that her face is damp with the silent remnants of tears she cannot feel past the numbness of the cold.
"Sor-- Sorry?" she clears her throat as she stumbles quickly to her feet, brushing off her skirt and the thick tights beneath it as she does.
The man behind her isn't someone she knows, which would be a frightening thing if she were in any other mental state than this one, so doused in apathy for her own self that danger doesn't really register.
He wears a warm looking hunting jacket, a thick winter cap with flaps over the ears, and holds a thermos out in front of him.
"S'only, my boy spotted you out in the cold over here," he gestures to Nancy's left where she sees a boy she does recognize, the flit-away of his gaze back to a headstone at his feet all she gets out of Eddie Munson before his arms are crossing over his chest and his shoulders are hiking up around his ears. "Wondered if maybe you couldn't do with some company? Or just somethin' warm to drink?"
He holds the thermos up, this-- this person speaking for Eddie Munson when Nancy has never seen the guy be anything other than outspoken.
The sky is gray in its darkness, a muted sort of black that doesn't allow for stars beyond the heavy clouds.
There's a little pile of stones which are the only remembrance for a girl who deserved so much better than she ever got on the ground behind her.
"You want me to...?"
"We're visitin' his Mama," he says gently, and Nancy understands Eddie's posture better now, that distance away feeling shorter between them. "Anyone out here on Christmas oughtn't be alone, though, don't you think?"
"She didn't run away," Nancy blurts, the sudden need to explain overwhelming any of the kindness being offered to her.
He just nods. Succinct but not dismissive.
"Okay."
"She--" Nancy chokes. She can't tell if her cheeks are still wet. "She didn't run away."
She's not allowed to say it. She's not allowed to talk about it. She can't impart the seriousness of how much Barb didn't leave, didn't go, didn't get far enough away before her time ran out.
But this man, this Munson, he just takes a step closer with the suggestion of an offer with the slightest raise of his arm and Nancy is-- Nancy is hugging him.
She's leaning into the warmth of him, letting him wrap his arm across her shoulders and rub her back with a gloved hand because-- because no one, not a single person, none of them listen when she says it.
Not even the ones who know, not even the boy who loves her, not her own mother who cared more about the fact that Nancy lost her virginity than her best friend.
"I hear ya," he says in a quiet murmur and Nancy believes him. Can hardly breathe past the force of what it feels like to have the words she speaks land softly, with understanding.
"Sorry, sorry," she swipes at her face as she pulls away, and he lets her go without argument, but stays standing there. "Sorry, I know I look hysterical, I just."
A hitching breath. She doesn't hear these footsteps getting closer either, but she feels Eddie's presence in that familiar posture she has gotten to know too well since that first week in November.
She's about to enter a new year, a year with a new number and a new turn of the earth that Barb will never see.
"We're going for pie," Eddie says, even as Nancy wipes her face with the tail of her scarf like a child. "Diner off Walnut's open on Christmas. If you wanna come and be a fuckin' mope with me."
And there's something to it, this undeniable acceptance that Nancy is, in fact, facing the same sort of loss as a boy without a mother, that has her snorting with laughter.
There's something about them, the Munson's with their seeing of her in the most vulnerable state she's allowed herself to express outside the privacy of her shower, that feels like the same sort of relief as the release of pressure that comes along with laughter.
"Do you always pick up strays at the cemetery?" she asks with an attempt at humor, expecting the same dry witted sarcasm in response.
Instead she gets a softening.
Instead she gets this: "I was in band with her," with the lowering of a gaze to a pile of mismatched stones, only to raise back to meet Nancy's with intent, "she made me laugh."
Nancy's chin wobbles. Her lungs too tight in her chest.
She knows then, even before she says it and earns the drape of Eddie's arm around her narrow shoulders, that she'll go with them and eat pie with them and grieve with them.
They'll tell her about the woman they've lost and maybe Nancy will be able to choke out a sentence or two about the girl who raised her only for Nancy to fail her.
They'll eat and she will listen to them because she knows the importance of such a thing and it will hurt.
It will always hurt.
"You said something about pie?" she manages to get out with a hard sniff of her frozen nose.
There is a piece of her lost to a world locked off from the rest of them.
She wonders, tucked into the Munson's pickup truck on a journey in search of pie, whether maybe that's not such an isolated feeling as she thought.

Diavolo and Lucifer 1
Summary: You have a particular way of greeting Diavolo every time you see him, to the chagrin of Lucifer.
Tumblr media
Lucifer was… odd to you, to say the least, in terms of the lens you view him under. When not inflated with his pride, he’s someone you can generally tolerate and be able to have civil conversations with, but there’s a distance you want to keep with him.
It’s not out of fear, you can’t fear someone who’s pride gets so easily bruised that he flares up like a bird. No, you keep your distance because the longer you stay around him, the more Lucifer gets the idea that you’ll be happy to be subservient to him. To be his little assistant to bully as he pleases, like a dog hoping for a reward.
You can’t say you’re surprised. A demon of pride like him would value his own pride more than your own, and as such, would want for the taming of your pride with his presence.
You can’t even ask him for help. You just refuse to feed into his pride in any way.
You’re polite when you need to be, but that’s about the extent of it. It irritates you, how your status as a human being leads to Lucifer treating you like less than a capable adult and more an entertaining thing to press and prod.
It’s why you couldn’t help but smile when you saw Diavolo walk into the council room.
In an instant, Lucifer stopped with his teasing smile and lowered his head just a bit in a subtle but clear show of respect to a demon he deemed superior. It can easily be seen as him giving a friendly greeting, but you knew better.
“Ah, Lucifer!” And, of course, Diavolo presence and voice was as loud as ever.
You slipped out of your chair and past Lucifer. You felt a small flare of heat from him, probably for breaking one of his social taboos that he’s so stuck on, but he can’t full out show his anger.
Not when Diavolo was in the room, and certainly not when he’s focusing on you.
Alright, time to internally kill Lucifer.
“Hey there, Big Pup,” you reached your hands out, up into the air, and let your smile get softer when Diavolo instinctively lowered his head towards you, “how you doing?”
You sunk your fingers into his hair and ruffled it around, like you would with any good dog. You almost snorted when you heard Lucifer behind you choke on his own spit.
You didn’t start off with these kinds of friendly greetings with Diavolo, you’re not exactly a person that easily shows open affection. However, you are a pretty blunt person all things considered. You were zoning out and ended up focusing on Diavolo’s hair just because the color was so rich and told Diavolo as such when he asked you why you were staring.
And when Diavolo asked if you wanted to touch, the rest was history. Poor man, the first hair ruffling really left a number on him. His eyes went wide and you can just see the dopamine being shot into his veins. And for the rest of that meeting, his eyes kept drifting back to your hands.
It was silly as well as cute. And now you have the added bonus of it being endlessly entertaining because Diavolo has no qualms with getting your hands on his head with his friends watching.
“I’m doing quite fine, thank you,” Diavolo rumbled out after a delay, almost losing himself to your hands, “Barbatos has been working me to the bone. There’s so much to do.”
“How horrible, but there’s nothing to be done,” you sighed before backing away, pleased by the little sigh of disappointment that left Diavolo’s lips.
“Diavolo,” Lucifer finally recovered enough to speak up, “while it is only us here, it’s best for you to conduct yourself as someone befitting your position. What are you going to do if someone else witnessed you being pet like and called a ‘pup?’”
You just shrugged your shoulders, knowing full well Lucifer was not talking to you, “Hey, he’s the one that gave his stamp of approval. If he wants the pats, he gets the pats.”
His opinion doesn’t really matter and it’s nice to remind Lucifer of it.
“There’s no harm being done, Lucifer,” Diavolo laughed with some shame but you’re glad to see he didn’t give into it, “it’s just a cute human greeting. Perhaps you want to give it a try?”
You pulled your hands out of your pockets, shaping them into claws as though you’re ready to pounce on Lucifer’s head.
“Well?” You asked with a light tilt of your head, knowing he won’t say yes.
“I’ll have to pass,” the vein on Lucifer’s head thickened a bit, jaw tense, but ultimately let it go with a sigh. He’s fighting a losing battle.
Ah, no wonder you and Lucifer don’t quite get along. You both like having your prides fed.

Marriage candidates reacting to being called cute by their crush/the farmer/what have you?
Bachelor/ettes When They're Called Cute
Thanks for the request! My brain's weird right now so these are pretty short. I tried to make them as long as I could.
Tumblr media
Bachelors:
Sam
He stops wherever he is and just sort of... Stares. He's starring ahead because his brain needs time to process what's going on. He's all 'what? what now?' After a second, he comes back to reality and apologises for leaving you hanging like that, rubbing his neck or something in the process.
"Aw, shucks, Y/N. Thanks."
Elliott
He's taken by surprise a little, but we both know Elliott still has that higher confidence. He's got his insecurities, sure, but socially he's a champ at taking compliments. Depending on how big the crush is, he might get a little shy, but not by much. He's got it under control. Leans forward and gives your hand a kiss (if you're okay with that).
"Thank you, Y/N."
Sebastian
HA he's embarrassed. The only person to tell him that is his mother, so things feel pretty awkward for him. Like Sam, he'll advert his eyes and try to figure out a response. In the end, it's awkward, but gets the job done (kind of). His face is so, so red, too. But please don't comment on that or else it will get worse.
"Uh, yeah, thanks, I guess."
Harvey
Harvey's either even redder than a tomato or chill. It depends on if he's in Doctor Mode or not. If he is (and this is only really when giving you a checkup), he's all 'uhhh not rn bro.' But if he's not, well, he goes a colour only visible to shrimp. Okay, I'm half-joking there, but he's extremely flustered and gets all nervous and plays with his hands.
"Um, thank you, Y/N."
Shane
If he's got a drink, he'll choke on it. While Sebastian's only gotten this compliment from his parents, he's only got it from his childhood. Which, since he's old, is a long, long time ago. He's confused if anything. Partly because 'what? Why?' in the self-deprecating way but also 'what? Why?' in the why the flippity-fuck are you telling him this and what purpose does it serve?
"Huh? What?" (he's half-laughing)
Alex
Alex man, that confidence I keep talking about. Okay, so, if you're not aware, I HC Alex's confidence to be a total sham. I mean, you've seen his heart events, right (/lh)? Anyways, he goes beetroot-red. Tries to flirt back, sure, but it doesn't work as well as he wants it to. But his crush just called him cute, so give him some slack.
"Hey, uh, thanks. You too."
Bachelorettes:
Penny
Penny's the most affected out of all of them. Normally, she'd be a little flushed but is able to handle the situation. But since, of course, her crush had to say it, she's worse for wear in the way that she is an absolute wreck. If she has her book with her, she hides behind it and goes all 'wow, thank you so much you didn't have to say that shucks um wowee hehe' (or something like that).
"Oh, um, thank you."
Leah
If you know my HCs, you know I think Leah's chill. She laughs it off with a bit of blush on her cheeks, but all-in-all everything's fine. Might flirt back, might not - all depends on what you're comfortable with. But she's totally going to get you back at it, whether it be making you a little gift ('cute, just like you!'), or sending you some 'totally platonic' red roses (P.S. it's the yellow roses that symbolise friendship).
"Hey, Y/N, feeling a little flirty today, huh?"
Abigail
Abigail's taken aback, but she's not letting that stop her. She's going to flirt back instantly and with as cool and quick of a comeback as she can. She also compliments you a lot more afterwards on whatever you're doing or wearing or anything you're comfortable with.
"Not as cute as you." *continues playing her game*
Maru
Maru never really gets those kinds of compliments. She's not starved for affection - not at all! She just never gets called 'cute' per se. So, she gets really flustered when you call her that. To be honest, I don't know if she'd be comfortable with it straight up. She'd prefer to be the one to take the initiative and say it first, so you know she's good to go.
"Wow, um, thanks."
Emily
Emily loves compliments. Whenever she gets one, she gets all excited and says thank you. It's just nice to know people care, y'know? It's also why she hates passive-aggressiveness so much. Anyways, she gets a little flushed and tucks her hair behind her ear. It's always nice to get a compliment, but even better from you!
"Aw, you're so sweet, Y/N."
Haley
Haley's surprised. Despite thinking so highly of herself (and looking absolutely stunning in my opinion), she doesn't get many compliments outside of Alex and her sister. So, when she gets one from her crush of all people, she's pretty taken aback. Her first reaction is to go 'yeah well, duh,' but she's learned not to do that. So, instead she gives you a warm smile (literally, those cheeks are red hot) and says thank you.
"Thanks, Y/N. You're pretty, too."

Deceiving the Duke | 8 | Todoroki Shouto
Tumblr media
pairing: Todoroki Shouto x Female Reader
length: 2.9k of 30k words | 8th of 9 chapters
summary: When Camie Utsushimi elopes on the eve of her society debut, scandal threatens to destroy the family’s prospects. It’s up to you, a maid, to impersonate Camie throughout the Season, long enough that her elder sister can make a match. The only trouble? Lord Shouto Todoroki is also intent on making a match—and that match, quite impossibly, appears to involve you.
tags/warnings: romance, regency au, class differences, hidden identity/identity porn, aged up characters, eventual smut
Tumblr media
The Utsushimis were quiet the entire carriage ride home.
It wasn’t until you were through the doorway of their townhome that Mrs. Utsushimi seemed to snap, grabbing your hair and marching you up the stairs towards your attic bedroom.
“What were you thinking, you wretched girl!” she cried, her voice shrill in your ear.
You couldn’t bring yourself to fight her off, knowing as she did that you had just ruined the family once and for all.
“I permitted this acquaintance with Lord Todoroki long enough, thinking you might turn his attentions to Caroline!” she shouted. “And this is what you’ve been doing instead? This is your contribution to preventing scandal?”
“Mama–” Caroline’s voice interrupted. You could just barely hear the worried pad of her slippers over Mrs. Utsushimi’s angry stomps.
“To your room, Caroline, I will speak with you later!” Mrs. Utsushimi said as the pair of you turned the corner to your tiny room.
She shoved you forward, and you stumbled, catching yourself over the bed frame.
“Mrs. Utsushimi, I’ll think of some way to fix it–” you said, but Mrs. Utsushimi shouted over you.
“Pack your things, you little harlot! You have until morning to disappear. You will not be receiving any of your wages, and if you dare seek employment with Camie, so help me I will end you myself!” she bellowed.
She grabbed the door handle and slammed it closed with a strength you’d never known she possessed–rattling the wall and sending a puff of dust into the air from the rafters. You heard her stomp back down the stairs, and heard another door slam on the floor below. And then it was quiet—deafeningly quiet.
A sudden sob welled up in your throat, surprising you with its force. You sank onto your bed helplessly, breath coming in short little hiccups.
What had you done?
How could you have forgotten yourself so foolishly? How could you have lost sight of your objective, this close to the finish line?
It wasn’t enough that you’d had a duty to the family, either. And a duty to your parents, to send back money. But you’d also had a duty to Shouto–Lord Shouto, that was–god, how could you have ever addressed him as Shouto?–to uphold your respective positions in society.
And yet you’d let him go right to your head, like the bubbly fizz of champagne. He was so kind and good and utterly beautiful, inside and out. You’d been overwhelmed by him–but that was no excuse.
He was too honorable. And he would suffer for it. You’d trapped him in matrimony to a woman who was already married.
And he had to be made aware, so he could call off the wedding.
You could disappear–let him find out weeks from now, when the news of the real Camie’s elopement was sure to break, save yourself the face in the process. It might be the only way that Caroline could still have her wedding to Mr. Awase, if he wasn’t too scandalized by the idea of a runaway sister.
But you couldn’t bring yourself to let it happen that way.
You had betrayed Lord Shouto–and you needed to be the one to close this ridiculous sham out.
You would tell him.
You spent the next few minutes packing your things into your small valise, the one you’d come to the Utsushimi’s doorstep with all those years ago as a wide-eyed teenager. You shed Camie’s fine gown and Caroline’s pretty paste jewels, her silk flower she’d lent you. You folded them all and put them on the bedside and changed into the dress of your station, feeling the loss a little too keenly.
It was disappointing, how much you’d come to like living as a gentlewoman, when you’d known all along you could never have that.
You took Lord Shouto’s calling cards out from under your mattress, where you’d squirreled them away like the lovelorn little rat you were–and noted his address. It was still an early hour, far too early to see him–but this was urgent, and it would take you some hours to cross the city on foot, to the fashionable part where the Todoroki family kept a series of townhomes.
You crept down the stairs quietly, and let yourself out into the night, and began the long trek to Lord Shouto’s.
The early-morning air was cool and damp, and it helped you clear your head. As you walked, you rehearsed all of the things you wanted to say to him, determinedly pushing down the sick feeling that rose like bile in your throat.
The sun was just barely rising, a deep red tinge at the edge of the sky, when you found the placard indicating Lord Shouto’s address.
There was a light at one of the windows on the second floor, the flickering glow of a candle. You wondered if it was Lord Shouto’s room–if he would be awake at this hour, still, unable to stomach the thought of the marriage trap you’d sprung on him.
Well, you would soon put him out of his misery.
With your heart hammering in your mouth, you knocked on the door.
For a long while there was silence, and then a manservant opened the door, looking down at you with a dour expression.
“Yes?” he asked.
“I’m here to see Lord Shouto,” you said.
The manservant looked over your shoulder and squinted, as if a proper chaperone might manifest behind you–but then his eyes seemed to catch on your dress. Not a proper gentlewoman–just a woman.
“What business have you with His Grace at this early hour?” he asked suspiciously.
You opened your mouth, wondering how exactly you might explain it, when a familiar head of red and white hair poked over the man’s shoulder.
“Lord Shouto!” you said, equal parts relieved and horrified to see him.
He looked rumpled, but still wore those dark shirtsleeves and waistcoat, as if he had not yet gone to bed. Those mismatched eyes found yours, and a curious expression came over his handsome face.
“Tell me you did not walk here on your own?” he said, something strangely hard in his voice.
You wondered how angry he must be with you, for it to show in his voice.
“I did. But please, Your Grace. I have some things you need to hear, it should only be a moment,” you said.
Lord Shouto gestured the manservant aside, and offered you his hand, helping you up the last step though you did not need it. You accepted, wondering if this was to be the last time you would get to touch him.
“My study should be best,” he said, and led you down a long, winding hall, to a room at the back of the house where a candle was still glowing on a desk. It was large, and would have been intimidating were it not filled with squashy, comfortable looking furniture and stuffed with all manner of books. There were tens of shelves of them, and even more were piled up around the room in teetering towers.
Lord Shouto’s desk was absolutely carpeted in papers, and your hands itched to tidy them.
Once you were inside, Lord Shouto closed the door behind you. You took a deep, steadying breath–and then–
“You should not have come alone. The streets are dangerous at night,” he said.
You turned, to look into his face. “My lord, I treasure your concern. However, you’ll want to hear–”
“The Utsushimis let you come alone?” he repeated, looking as though he couldn’t stomach the thought. His care warmed something inside you, but you knew you could not let him persist in his delusion that you were a gentlewoman. There was nothing wrong with a servant walking the streets alone.
You gathered yourself up.
“I am not Camie Utsushimi,” you said.
Lord Shouto’s eyes darted up to yours, and he paused. His brow raised slowly, but his expression did not change otherwise. The flickering light of the candle cast fluttering shadows over his face, dancing in the hollows of his cheeks, smudging under the dark line of his thick lashes.
He did not offer a reply, and you stood in an awkward silence, until you realized he meant for you to explain further.
“I–my lord, I never meant…I did not think…” you fumbled, until your eyes flashed up to his face again, handsome and solemn. And you realized he deserved the truth, not your excuses.
“No, regardless of what I meant or why I did it,” you tried again. “I have deceived you. I am not Camie Utsushimi. I am not even a gentlewoman. I am called Y/N, and I was a servant in the Utsushimis’ home until this morning.”
Lord Shouto watched you still, saying nothing, and so you continued.
“Camie Utsushimi eloped days before the opening of the season, to Lord Inasa Yoarashi. They are honeymooning now, but she will return to Musutafu soon enough, and our plot will be revealed. I wanted…” you cast your eyes down, unable to look at his face. “I wanted you to find out from me. I wanted to give you the opportunity to announce you are calling off the marriage, before you are caught up in the scandal too.”
You drew in a shivering breath. “I am sorry.”
For a long moment, Lord Shouto said nothing. You could not imagine what he was thinking, how he might even begin to respond to something like this.
After several minutes of silence, he finally moved. There was the soft tread of his boots across the floor. You stayed frozen, unable to anticipate what he was doing. His index finger curled gently under your chin, tipping your face up to his.
“You think I did not know,” he said.
Your mouth opened in shock.
He–what? He knew?
“You–? How could you know?” you asked, when you were finally able to gather the trappings of language back to you. “My lord, what do you mean–?”
“The way you behaved, from our first meeting,” Lord Shouto said in his deep tone. “I suspected you were either a very uneducated debutante–quite at odds with Miss Caroline–or a pretender. And then, when I called on you–you answered the door as a servant would. The Utsushimis’ sitting room was barren of any portrait of you, but had plenty of Caroline and another girl who looks just like her–who I am assuming must be the real Camie.”
Fuck! So he had seen something then!
His fingers burned on your skin, and you were all too aware of his touch when you swallowed nervously. Horror and embarrassment burned hot across your skin, igniting your cheeks.
“My lord, I can only apologize and promise that you will never have to see me again,” you said, fighting down the sudden hot sting of tears behind your eyelids. “You were kinder to me than I deserved, and I–-if I had known how good you were, I should have never done it.”
“And if I want to see you again?” Lord Shouto asked carefully.
You glanced up at him, cringing when a tear escaped you in your surprise. “Lord Shouto, please. Do not continue to be kinder to me than I deserve. I will not ever be able to work again in Musutafu, besides.”
Lord Shouto’s thumb came up, and brushed your tear away. You froze, a cocktail of confused emotion burbling up inside you.
“Tell me why you did it,” Lord Shouto said softly. You stared up into those mismatched eyes, watched his long, shadowy lashes fall over his perfect cheekbones when he blinked.
You did not want to say it. But…
“For money, my lord,” you said, hating the way honesty tasted in your mouth. “I send a stipend back to my family. The Utsushimis promised steady wages and a bonus, and future employment with Camie and Lord Inasa when we were discovered. I would have money for my family, and get to see my friend again. And I–”
You took a shuddering breath in, embarrassed with just how open your emotions must be to Lord Shouto. “I did not think I would befriend anyone. I did not know there was anyone like you, or Miss Uraraka, or Lady Asui. I thought all the gentry ridiculous and overweening. Stupidly, I did not understand that it would be so easy to become close–that I would directly affect anyone…”
You had to stop, then, clamping down on a fresh wave of tears. You would not cry in front of Lord Shouto–not when you were at fault here.
Lord Shouto watched you silently, for a long time, your face still held in his grip. You just watched him helplessly, your heart hammering against your ribs.
Eventually, he spoke, his thumb sliding absently across your cheek, again. “Will you come with me?” he asked.
Your brows knit. “Come with you–? To…where, my lord?”
“To the palace,” he said. “To meet Her Highness, Princess Momo.”
All the blood in your veins iced over, and you could feel your body drawn into itself defensively, your hands curling into fists at your side.
There could be nothing good for a deceitful maid at the palace. Nothing good in meeting Princess Momo, especially if he planned to tell her what you’d done.
But…perhaps that was exactly it.
Perhaps Lord Shouto meant to let her pass judgment on your crimes against him. To deliver her royal justice upon you. He was rumored to be her impending fiancee–and there had to be a price to pay, for attempting to entrap the future prince of the empire in a marriage scheme that might have disrupted their union.
Fear and apprehension prickled up your spine. Your gut churned in great heaving turns, and you felt like you might be sick.
But you had come to set things right, hadn’t you? You had come to do the right thing by Lord Shouto, when you could have just as easily fled the city.
You could…No, you would see this through.
“Yes,” you said, your voice barely above a whisper. “I will.”
Lord Shouto’s hand finally dropped from your chin, and he bade you wait a moment. He stepped over to his desk and scribbled something down on a bit of parchment, and then sealed it and stepped out into the hall. You heard him conduct a brief conversation with a manservant, and then he ducked back in to tell you he wouldn’t be a moment.
You nodded, afraid of what you’d sound like if you spoke. When the door closed behind him, you let the shivers come over you, gripping Lord Shouto’s desk against a sudden bout of lightheadedness.
You briefly considered running, turning and contemplating your valise where you’d deposited it next to the door.
But suddenly all the fight had left you.
If this is truly what Lord Shouto wanted, then you owed him this much, didn’t you?
When he returned, he’d changed into something decidedly less rumpled and considerably more appropriate for an audience with royalty. You felt conspicuous in your graying maid’s garb, but there was nothing to be done for it.
Lord Shouto led you outside, where a carriage had already been arranged, and he surprised you by handing you up into the carriage as though you were any sort of a proper lady. Your face went hot, despite the cool prickle of apprehension that had settled into your bones.
He settled in across from you, those mismatched eyes blisteringly hot on your skin.
And then, with a final word from him, the carriage rattled off towards the palace, the wheels clattering over the cobblestones in the early morning quiet.

mammoney:  It was 11 PM, and the Devildom was sparkling. Thousands of demons were lined up outside the hottest club south of Antarctica: Mammonteque. At the front of the line stood six of the most powerful, most intimidating, and most attractive demons you’ve ever seen, and even though the club didn’t open until midnight, the bouncer stepped aside and let them in.
“What? That’s so unfair!” shouted the demon behind them.
But the bouncer shook his head, unmoved. “Orders from the top,” he said. Then, smirking, he added, “Clearly you didn’t recognize those guys. Must be embarrassing for you.”
Inside the club, the demons, who were all dressed in suits with boas, sunglasses, and fedoras, looked around. Just as they expected, this place was opulence itself. Golden fountains spouting gold-flake infused water. A gold disco ball hanging from the ceiling. Even the floor was made of intricately carved gold tiles.
“Obviously, Mammon is even wealthier than last time we stopped by,” said the oldest demon, looking around over his sunglasses. He quickly put them back on because the glow from the gold was too intense for him to handle.
“Wow, I never would have guessed Mammon would be as good at interior design as I am, but he proved me wrong!” said another of the demons. He was wearing heart-shaped sunglasses and a bright pink feather boa, and his fedora was covered in sequins.
Another of the demons was already stuffing his face at the buffet. Luckily, the wily Mammon had seen this coming and installed a machine that pumped out an unlimited supply of cheeseburgers.
“Seeing how successful Mammon is makes me proud to have him for a big brother,” said a demon with blue hair and a Ruri-chan body pillow.
“And speak of the devil,” the oldest said, smiling as he looked over at the entrance.
A stretch-limousine painted gold pulled up to the front of the club. Demons began to scream and cheer as the door opened. Out stepped Mammon, who looked even more handsome than usual. You-Know-Who was clinging to his arm, staring up at him like he was the greatest being in all three worlds.  6 ♡ AsmoBaby and 5 others
stn: As Mammon approached the entrance to his club, the six demons in attendance greeted him with the coolness one might expect from Hell’s most corrupt oligarchs. The identities of these demons were as follows:
Lucifer: former angel, Avatar of Pride, traitor to the Celestial Realm, now the right-hand demon to and a massive simp for Diavolo: former ruler of the Devildom; magnanimous and crafty, with a tendency to act far stupider than he truly is Leviathan: gamer, miserable to be out in public, suffering a migraine and angry that he’s missing the latest episode of his favorite magical girl anime Asmodeus: party devil, narcissist, and self-proclaimed cutest demon in the Devildom Beelzebub: gluttonous gym rat with a heart of gold and a stomach of lead, and Belphegor: who was asleep.
Mammon himself was the Avatar of Greed, and as such, he lacked any ability to control his need to amass material wealth. This being the case, he had recently upset the political order of the Devildom with a massive coup, ousting the far more competent Diavolo from autocratic power in favor of the corrupt cabal now gathered together in this gaudy anteroom.
Mammon looked at his guests while You-Know-Who wandered off, searching for somewhere, anywhere, that didn’t hurt to look at.
“Somebody’s missin’,” observed the club owner.
“A very astute observation, Young Master,” said Mammon’s butler, Barbatos, condescendingly. He had come with the deed to the Demon Lord’s castle. “You may have forgotten, but your dear brother Satan declined your offer to participate in your sham of a government, citing the proven incompetence of yourself and your brothers as the reason.”
“Oh, right,” Mammon said with chagrin. “Damn that Satan, always stickin’ to his principles instead of sellin’ out like the rest of us clowns. Hey, where’d You-Know-Who go?”
“Ah,” said Barbatos with the nod of a man forced to act as the bearer of bad news. “That noble personage appears to have fled. It seems your company became too odious to tolerate.”
“That can only mean one thing,” Mammon said, his eyes widening as the realization struck him. “You-Know-Who ran off to find Satan, since he’s obviously the better catch.” 2 ♡ LordDiavolo and Belphie
L3V1: Or so he thought. Little did Mammon realize that You-Know-Who wasn’t remotely interested in Satan. Instead, the unassuming third-born got a message on his DDD. Stealing away from the crowd, he opened up the text. It read:
“Levi, I think you know who this is. I’m so sorry it’s taken me so long. But you know it was always you. Come find me where we shared our first kiss.”
mammoney: (What the hell do you mean your first kiss???) 4 ♡ Belphie and 3 others
L3V1: (I didn’t interrupt you, asshole!)
Levi gripped his DDD with newfound resolve. He had no interest in the political machinations of his brothers and Diavolo. That part of the plot was boring and honestly too high stakes for what was supposed to be a story about a nightclub. So, slipping away from the others, Levi sneaked out through the back exit and ran for the field of flowers where he and You-Know-Who had shared a few stolen moments of tenderness. 1 ♡ LordDiavolo
Belphie: Poor Levi. He didn’t even realize that the text was sent by Solomon, who was out to troll him. As Leviathan ran off to meet with his only true love (the bitter feeling of disappointment), the youngest of the brothers yawned and looked around, assessing the situation.
He was at a luxurious club, owned and operated by his scummy brother Mammon. He was in the company of his brothers, minus Satan and now Levi, and Diavolo and Barbatos were there too. You-Know-Who might have been there for a minute or two, but they were long gone by now, and there were hundreds of screaming demons in line, hoping for entrance to the club.
“Maybe we should have our political talks somewhere less noisy,” Belphie suggested. It was a very reasonable suggestion, so none of the other demons could really argue with him.
The seven demons piled into the golden limo outside the entrance and drove away to a less obnoxious scene. 2 ♡ stn and Beelzeburger
AsmoBaby: Except, oh no!!! The limo ran over a bunch of tacks and the tires deflated before they could get very far from the club! They had no choice but to come back. Besides, Asmodeus hadn’t gotten the chance to greet the crowds, and who knows what kind of chaos it would cause if the people learned their idol had left without offering them so much as a wave and heart fingers?
“Asmo! Asmo! Asmo!” chanted the crowd as the demons climbed back out of the limo.
“Hello, everyone!” cried Asmo with an adorable grin, waving back to the demons. They cheered more wildly than ever! Some of them even fainted when he made heart fingers. Demons all over were pulling out their DDDs and snapping photos of the most beautiful demon to ever walk the streets of hell. 2 ♡ LordDiavolo and mammoney
Beelzeburger: Beelzebub was still eating at the unlimited cheeseburger machine. He was enjoying himself. Every time I swallowed a cheeseburger, another one appeared in my hands and I ate that one too. They had relish and pickles and tomatoes and onions and mustard and ketchup on them, and I drooled just thinking about it. But not for long, because I didn’t have to think about it for more than a second or two before another cheeseburger materialized in my hands. I kept eating the cheeseburgers for the rest of the night and well into the morning. 1 ♡ Belphie
mammoney: (Beel, this was supposed to be in the third person!) 1 ♡ L3V1
Beelzeburger: (Oh, right. Sorry. I got a little caught up in my character.) 1 ♡ Belphie
monSOLO: After pulling that prank on Levi, Solomon met up with You-Know-Who at their planned rendezvous point.
“It looks like the Devildom is entering some pretty politically tumultuous waters,” Solomon said with a chuckle. “Perhaps we’d be better off returning to the human world for the time being.”
Having agreed to this, Solomon and You-Know-Who clasped hands and vanished from the Devildom for at least the next six months or so.
mammoney: (??? What? This was a brothers only event!)
monSOLO: :)
mammoney: (I’m retconning that whole bit. Somebody else go while I figure out how to delete it.) 1 ♡ stn
stn: Meanwhile, at the House of Lamentation…
Satan assessed the political machinations of his brothers as logically as he could. He knew that Mammon had no real interest in power; he wanted the glamor, not the responsibility. So who could possibly be the mastermind behind the acquisition of power by the second born?
It was all too obvious.
Lucifer had been playing everyone for fools–the contract lawyers of the Devildom, his brothers, even Lord Diavolo himself. Only Satan, ever wary of Lucifer’s intentions, was able to see past his lies.
Gathering together the power of all thirty-nine of his cat familiars, Satan stood at the window facing the Mammonteque club and uttered a curse so foul and forbidden that I dare not repeat it here. And at the nightclub several miles away, Lucifer dropped to the ground, an empty husk. 2 ♡ Belphie and L3V1
Belphie: “Lucifer, no!” cried Diavolo. Giant tears flooded down his face as he clutched the body of his beloved advisor and probable traitor.
“Rip,” said Levi, who had returned to the club after realizing no one was waiting for him at the field of flowers. “Rest in pieces, big bro.”
“Who could have done this?” sobbed Lord Diavolo.
“I have no idea,” said Belphie, who had an idea. But he wasn’t about to sell out his fellow Anti-Luciferian. 2 ♡ Beelzeburger and stn
Lucifer: How long do you intend to embarrass yourselves like this?
AsmoBaby: (OOC comments are in brackets, Lucifer~) 3 ♡ Belphie and 2 others
Lucifer:  Why have I been killed off after being implicated as the mastermind behind a coup to remove Lord Diavolo from power?
Belphie:  (¯\_(ツ)_/¯) 2 ♡ stn and monSOLO
stn: (I didn’t realize creativity was forbidden in this home.)
stn: (I suppose it’s my own fault for not assuming my writing would face unfair censorship.) 1 ♡ AsmoBaby
mammoney: (Okay, listen, I’ve been real tolerant of you all bunglin’ around and makin’ this whole damn activity a laughing stock, EVEN after I went out of my way to make all your characters look cool, but Lucifer, are you really gonna torch this whole thing just because of somethin’ like that?) 4 ♡ L3V1 and 3 others
Lucifer: A one month ban from Devilgram for all of you seems like a reasonable punishment. 1 ♡ monSOLO
Belphie: Are you serious?
AsmoBaby: This is so unfair! I didn’t even write any of the seditious stuff! 1 ♡ Beelzeburger
L3V1: Lmao I hate this family… 3 ♡ stn and 2 others
stn: @Belphie, would you meet me in the observatory? I have something I’d like to discuss with you. 1 ♡ Belphie
Lucifer: If I catch any of you on Devilgram within the next thirty days, I will suspend your account indefinitely. @mammoney @L3V1 @stn @AsmoBaby @Beelzeburger @Belphie 1 ♡ monSOLO
LordDiavolo: What a shame. I was enjoying the story.

Tumblr media
Billy turns to Sidney who is not standing that far away from him and the look that he is giving her is unrecognizable. They hear screams and more panic sets in Sidney. Billy's eyes are on her and he sticks his tongue out and slowly licks the dried blood tasting it, "corn syrup. Same stuff they used for pig's blood in CARRIE" Billy says as she slowly takes a step back moving into the kitchen; he lurches as she takes another step back in horror. She continues to back up until she goes into the arms of Stu, "Stu... please... help me..." she says as he just stares at her with a subtle smile and holds a voice changer to his mouth, "surprise Sidney" he whispers into the thing making her realized both of them were the killers.
Since they were busy focused on Sidney you ran to where they were, "HEY! LEAVE HER ALONE!" you yell catching their attention and allowing Sidney to run to you letting her get behind you, "thought I killed you" Stu says as Sidney's mind was racing while your body fills with adrenaline and you felt your clothes soak and drip blood into the floor. Squeezing Sydney's hand you pulled her as you bolt into the living room to create some distance between them, but they stand in the entryway trapping both in. "where y'all going? It's not over yet. We've got one more surprise... Stu I believe it's your turn" Billy says as if it was something to be proud of, "Oh yeah" Stu answers as he disappears into the kitchen, "what's wrong? Both look like you've seen a ghost" Billy says as the noise comes from the kitchen with a dragging sound. Stu comes along dragging two bodies and rolls them into your's and Sidney's feet, "Daddy!" both yell for both of your dad's at the same time, "close enough" Billy says as Stu places a cellular in Mr. Prescott's shirt pocket.
"Guess won't be needing this anymore," Stu says as he and Billy lurch to scare both and in a quick movement you turned and hugged Sidney to shield her from their attacks, " you should've died with your mom" You whispered on her ear and you stabbed her around 6 times in the back.  She started screaming and trashing in pain; you let her go but not before taking the knife out and she drops to the floor bleeding, "why are you doing this?" she asked looking at you as you backed up towards the guys. "It's all part of the game" Stu answers, "it's called GUESS HOW I'M GOING TO DIE!" Billy says looking straight at her, "FUCK YOU!" Sidney says to Billy as she was slowly and painfully bleeding out, "Oh Sid, that's my job. Isn't that right baby?" you said as Billy grabbed you by the hips pulling you closer to him and started kissing your neck without stopping the eye contact with Sidney, "right" he answers, "you're crazy... all of you" she said as her eyes move back and forth between the three, "the official term is 'psychotic' " Stu said matter of factly as she is trying to hold her posture but there was so much blood.
"You'll never get away with this," she said as she was struggling even more, " tell that to Cotton Weary. You wouldn't believe how easy it was to frame him" Billy said as Stu continue, "Yeah, we just watched a few movies. Took a few notes. It was fun". The three relish the madness as Sidney looks at yours and her dad to see them cry, "why did you kill my mother?" she asked with a determined look making you laugh, "Why? WHY? Did you guys hear that...Hmm... you don't really remember me do you?" you said kneeling in front of her taking the knife into your hand as she shook her head, "I don't understand..." she said fighting the tears that still were running down her face, "we did your mom a favor, Sid.  The woman was a slut bag whore who flashed her shit all over town like she was Sharon Stone or something"  Billy explained, "so we put her out of her misery, I mean let's face it, your mom was no Sharon Stone" Stu says cracking up over, while Billy turns very serious, " is that motive enough for you? or how about this. Did yoy know you slut mother was sleeping with my dad and she's the reason my mom moved out and deserted me" Billy said as Sidney stares, "or even better? The whore of your mother started sleeping with my dad as well making this asshole abandon us, causing her to feel that she had to kill herself to get out of the misery your fucking mother put her through. And you know what's the funniest part, Sid?... Is that  I saw her do it when I was a 6 fucking year old" you said slicing her cheek as she is rigid with shock, both testimonies resonating the truth of her mother.
"What?" she said, " think about it, Sid. On the off chance that we get caught, motives like that could divide the jury for years," you said standing up and kicking her in the process, "you took our mothers, so we took yours. Big sympathy factor. Maternal abandonment, mother loss, childhood trauma, and paternal abandonment cause serious deviant behavior" Billy said as he grabbed your hand to guide you to where yours and Sidney's dad were, "NO DON'T" she yells with the little strength she has left, "I wouldn't waste any more breaths, Sid. Cause if my grandpa taught me well you are about to die in a few minutes" you said laughing, "YOU ARE INSANE" she said spitting blood, "yet I'm not the one bleeding out on the floor" you said moving your sight back to your dad, "please let them go" she begged, "come on, Sid. Think about it. Your father is the chief's suspect. We cloned his cellular. The evidence is there, there is no point in begging" Stu says as he gets closer, " what if your father snapped? your mom's anniversary set him off and he went on a murder spree killing everyone" Billy continues, "except for me, Y/n, and Billy... we were left for dead" Stu says holding another knife in his hands, "and then he saw the poor bastard that his wife cheated with, kidnapped him, kill him and you. Then shoots himself in the head. The perfect ending" you said as Billy places the gun on your hands and gets behind you, "see you in hell bastard" you said as you shoot your dad dead, "you looked so hot baby, it's making me really hard" Billy said spinning you around so he could face you, "if we didn't have matters to attend I would let you fuck me right now daddy" you said and he lowered his hands to grope your ass as both started to make out heavily, "don't want to be a cockblock 'cause I would love to watch that, but I think we have other things to do" Stu said making both stop and Billy looked really pissed clenching his fist and jaw making Stu raise his hands in defense.
You let go of Billy and he takes the gun setting it down on the table near the foyer. While you decided to look for the landline to make the desperate call for help as Billy moves to Sidney's dad, "grab the gun, I'll untie pops" he said to Stu, "where'd you put it?" Stu said searching the foyer for the gun, "it's on the table" Billy says, "no it's not" Stu answered as Billy hobbles over. The gun is gone. "Where the fuck is it?" Billy says, "Right here asshole" Gale Weather said and Billy and Stu look up at the same time to find her standing at the front doorway, gun in hand and she looked a mess, "I thought she was dead," Billy said to Stu, "she looked dead. Still does" Stu answered while Gale holds the gun firm in total control, "I've got an ending for you. The reporter left for dead in the news van comes to, stumble upon two dipshits, finds the gun, fumbles your plan, and saves the day" Gale says not paying attention, but Billy notices a familiar figure stepping behind Gale, " I don't like that ending tho" you said stabbing her twice on her side making her drop the gun to hold her side as her knees gave out, "you?" she said as she drops completely to the floor and tries to reach for the gun but you ste on her hand allowing Billy to grab the gun, "cool move" Stu said making you smile, "let's finish it all" you said stepping away from Gale and holding your hand out for the gun and then shooting Gale in the head, "this time I'm making sure she's dead" you said turning to Stu and then moving to Sidney's dad who looks like he has given up.
Taking out the gag from Sidney's dad allowed him to talk, "Why are you doing this?" he asked as he hadn't heard the whole speech given previously, " I'm getting tired of people asking the same stupid question, but I'll indulge you since is your last request. Everything happened since you couldn't keep the bitch of your wife off others man's dicks" you said handing the gun to Billy as Stu left the room, "good night pops" Billy said and shot him in the head and then placed the gun on her dads after cleaning it.
You pressed the phone to your ear, "911, What's your emergency?" they asked and you started to act, "PLEASE! HELP! HELP! THE KILLER IS HERE I SAW HIM STAB MY FRIENDS, PLEASE SEND SOMEONE I'M BEGGING YOU!" you said both Billy and Stu chuckling at your acting, "we are sending help right now sweety, everything is going to be okay. Just calm down" the operator said as she heard you cry, "can you find a safe spot?" she asked, "I'm...I'm gonna try," you said sounding scared, "can you take the phone with you?" she asked, "yes. I'm trying to go to a safe spot....OH GOD NO! THERE IS SO MUCH BLOOD!" you said sounding scared and fake sobbing, " listen to my voice sweety and continue walking alright. You are going to be okay" she said trying to calm you but she didn't know that you were acting. You started screaming for help as Billy got behind you grabbing the phone and dropping it, "NO PLEASE! PLEASE DON'T KILL ME! " you said with terror as Billy couldn't keep his hands to himself and pulled the voice changer, "SO TELL ME WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE SCARY MOVIE?" he said and you started to scream and then he stepped on the phone disconnecting the call. "and the Oscar goes to... Y/n" Stu said clapping his hands as you rolled your eyes.
"okay let's figure out who stabs who?" you said walking near the guys, "wait! you should do it! no offense Billy but she knows where to" Stu said as he handed you the knife, "I'll  guide him Stu, and either way they are on their way" You said causing Billy and Stu to both eyed each other as you stood behind Billy putting the knife on his hands, "ready?" Billy said looking at Stu, "Yeah..." Billy pulls the knife back and brings it forward quickly with your hand guiding his movements slicing into Stu. He stumbles to his knees, wincing in pain. "Jesus..." Stu says as blood gushes, real blood, a dark, deep red. Stu inspects the wound to his side then he smiles, "good one" he said as Billy slashes at Stu's arm, two quick cuts making him double over, when Billy was going to slice him again Stu stopped him, "That's it, Billy. I can't take it anymore. I'm feeling woozy". You took the knife from him and looked at Stu who looked in major pain as he staggers a bit to get away, a couple of seconds later you hear him drop to the floor. "come on baby just do it. I trust you" Billy said standing in front of you, " I love you baby" he said placing his hand on your right cheek making you looked at him with surprise. It was the first time he told you that he loved you and it was the worst moment, " I love you too" you said as you pushed the knife into him and pull it quickly puncturing him and he doubles over, "Jesus... fuck that hurt" He said and you looked at him worried, "I'm fine don't worry" he said squelching the pain, " I'm ready" you said ready for him to stab you just like he did to Stu. Billy with the knife now in his hands placed it directly where you told him, he leaned down to kiss you as the knife pierced your skin and took it out quickly. "I think you went a little too deep Billy," you said as your blood gushed out faster than theirs, "Fuck! I'm sorry," he said and you saw the panic in his eyes as your knees started to give out. "is fine I can hear the ambulance I'll be okay, baby," you said as he slowly put you down and then he lay on the floor a few steps away from you as everything went black.
~TIME LATER~
Beep, beep, beep was all you heard, slowly you opened your eyes and saw someone with their head resting on their crossed arms that were placed on your bed, “Billy?” you said with a raspy voice making him look up and smile, “hey sleepy head” he said as he got closer to you and kissed your forehead. As he got back into place he winced, “I'm okay” he said as he saw the look of worry in your eyes, “how long was I out?” you asked and he grabbed your hand, “for a week, they said that you lost a lot of blood” he said feeling guilty since he was the one that stabbed you and went too deep.
Before you could say anything else a Doctor walk in, “I see you woke up Ms.Y/L/N. And Loomis you are here again still” the doctor said making you look at Billy, “I couldn’t leave my girl alone Doc” he answer making you smile, “Well that’s sweet of you, but right now I have to talk with Ms.Y/L/N about her condition” the Doctor said and Billy started to get up to leave but you held his hand tighter, “he can hear” you said and the Doctor nodded, “okay, that’s good with me... So the stabbing didn’t hit any vital organs by just an inch, you lost a significant amount of blood but we were able to stabilize you and save both your’s and the fetus's life” he said and you had to do a double take just as Billy, “what?” you said as you felt Billy’s hand turned into a fist, “yes, you are pregnant about 8 weeks pregnant” he said you just starred at him in shock, “I'll let you process everything” the Doctor said as he walked away and tears started to run down your cheek, Billy raised up and walked away and started to throw stuff to the floor making you cry harder, “I’m sorry Billy, I’m sorry” you said sobbing and he turned and rushed to your side grabbing your face kissing it, “no, no, no I should be the one saying that baby. I could’ve lost both of you that day” he said as actual tears rolled down his cheek, “The Billy Loomis is crying” you said and he gave you a look that made you shiver, “move to the side so I can cuddle my baby mama” he said making you smile.
There laying in the hands of Billy you felt that everything was gonna be alright and that the madness of both was completely gone or was it?

Entanglement Chapter Three
"HOW CAN YOU DO THIS TO ME!!!"
"Kit you act like it is the end of the world. You knew this day would come why are you acting so surprised", my mother said.
"I am surprised because, for the first time in my life, you decided to bring this up. You didn't even tell me you were planning on doing this!"
"I am your mother Kit as well as queen I do not need your permission. Your marriage to Y/n will be beneficial to Tir Asleen and to you", she said.
"How do you expect this soon-to-be sham of a union to be beneficial to me?!?"
"Instead of you having to move to her Kingdom after the wedding you both will be residing here."
"Oh so you are saying I get to stay here but be married to a girl I don't even know who will be looking for me as a sense of comfort", I exclaimed.
"Don't be so dramatic! Now listen Y/n and her family are coming for my birthday celebration where you will have an ample amount of time to get to know each other before the wedding in three months."
"THREE MONTHS?!?!"
"YES, Kit three months you are to be married. So, you have plenty of time to come to terms with it", she said and walked out of my room.
As she left I could feel my blood starting to boil and all the things she said running through my mind made me lose it. I started to throw whatever was in reach of me trying to release what I was feeling inside. After my room looked like it had been trashed I stormed out of there. In my anger-filled haze, I didn't see the person in front of me and crashed into them.
"Hey, what's wrong? Why do you seem so angry", Jade asked with a deep sense of worry.
"My mother sprung the worst possible news she could have on me that could destroy my life", I said.
"What do you mean? What did she tell you."
"She just told me I am to be married in three months", I said knowing that this could hurt her.
"What? But your mother never said anything to you about marriage before", Jade said with a shakey voice.
"I know she said it has to do with it being beneficial to the kingdom and some other bullshit", I started to yell.
"Jade I need you to know though my marriage to her will not change anything between us or how I feel about you. I will always love you", holding her face in my hands and looking in her eyes letting her know this.
Jade nods and asks,"So, who is it that you are marrying"?
"Her name is Y/n Ravaryn of Zemira", I said.
"When is she to come here"?
"She is coming for my mother's birthday where she will be staying before and after we are married", I say with disdain.
"So you don't have to move to her kingdom once you are married"?
"Yes, my mother made arrangements where Y/n and I would stay here after the wedding. I guess you could say she was trying to soften the blow or trying to make me feel somewhat accepting of this union", I say sarcastically.
"At least you won't have to leave and you will be home", jade smiles.
"Yeah except for the marriage part", I laugh.
"I have to go I promised to meet up with Boorman. I will see you later on", Jade says and then proceeds to walk off.
All I could think about at that moment was how her heart must be hurting just like mine is.

** Time skip to the fourth day on the ship
Being stuck on this damn ship has given me anxiety to the point where I want to throw myself off it. If I have to spend one more day on this boat I may go mad. Looking up at the night sky and seeing all the stars scattered across it made me think of the time when I was a little girl and would go searching for the brightest star out there.
All of a sudden I hear footsteps behind me just to turn and see my father.
" You couldn't sleep either could sweetheart", he said.
"No, I could not. I have too many things on my mind."
"I assume this is regarding your betrothal", he remarked.
"Yes, and among other things", I said hesitantly.
"I don't understand. What else is bothering you"?
"Father have you ever heard of a Great War where the realm fell into chaos and dragons were utilized as warfare", I asked.
He seemed rather shocked at my question. As if this topic has never been brought up before.
"Why would you ask about that"?
"I was in the castle's library the day before we left and came across a book where it was mentioned", I said.
" Y/n I don't know why that book would ever be in our library. After all, those were dark times and nobody likes to discuss what happened. There should not even be any written text on the subject. The war was so gruesome it is too horrible to even be spoken about", he said making sure no one was around to hear.
"If there is supposed to be no written evidence or that it is not to be spoken about, how do you know about it"?
"In each Kingdom, the soon-to-be king or queen is given this knowledge by their parents. It is best that the people don't know because if they do they will be afraid of those days coming back", he said.
"But why? From what I read all the dragons were killed. Why would the people have to be worried"?
"Even though they are all gone we cannot take the chance of the people discovering the truth."
"Does James know anything about this", I asked.
"No, not yet. He has a ways to go before he is crowned King. You are the only one who knows and I am urging you not to tell anyone what you have learned about", he said.
"I understand", I didn't understand though. How is this something you could keep from our people and why would this be so damaging now? It just doesn't make sense.
"Father I also read in the book something about a prop--", the sound of footsteps cut me off as we both looked for any sign of someone.
My father and I could hear the footsteps coming closer and low and behold it turned out to be my mother.
"What are you two doing up here you both should be sleeping", she said with the sound of sleep in her voice.
"I know dear we couldn't sleep so we just talked for a bit. We are heading back now", my father said.
"Alright", she said then made her way back to her compartments.
"Remember what I said Y/n you have to keep it a secret."
"Yes, father", I smiled.
"Ok, I am heading back. Are you coming"?
"Not yet I will be down in a few minutes."
"Ok, I will see you tomorrow morning then", he kissed my forehead and returned back to his room.
Letting out a breath I didn't even realize I was holding my mind was circling with questions about what my father had told me. Looking back up at the sky my mind started to wonder after a while. I started thinking about what would happen in the next couple of days and how it would affect not just me but everyone else.

another possible crossover scene that has absolutely nothing to do with anything (but i laughed so im sharing)
rise! Leo: Your Casey and Donnie don't like each other? Oh this is really funny.
2012! Leo: what... do you mean?
rise! Leo, snickering: well you see, in my world Donnie and Casey are kinda married...
2012! Everyone: WHAT?!
rise! Leo: yeah, so first off we're in Florida-
2012! Raph: why were you in Florida?!
rise! Leo: and we got our tails handed to us pretty bad. Raph busted his hand up, April fractured a couple ribs, Donnie had a concussion, Cassie messed up her knee, yadda yadda. So, we're on some heavy duty painkillers, and Mikey-
rise! Leo: actually I think i have the wedding on video actually. *pulls out phone*
rise! Leo: ahhh no it must be on Mikey's phone. This video was the same night though!
Video!Leo: so, tell me Don-Don, how would you rate your whole Florida experience?
Video!Donnie, who clearly is not 100% coherent: two outta ten. Do not reccomend.
Video!Leo: but you still give it a two?
Video!Donnie: the humidity and heat are pretty nice but that's the only good thing about this state.
rise! Leo: i'll just fast forward to the relevant part.
Video!Mikey: Donnie! You're the smart one-
Video!Donnie, off screen: right you are!
Video!Mikey: PLEASE tell Casey that people who go through Vegas' drive through wedding chapels are real and actual marriages!
Video!Donnie: of course Vegas weddings are real!
Video!Mikey: aha!
Video!Donnie: its every other drive thru wedding chapel who's marriages are a sham.
Video!Casey, to Mikey: aha!
Video!April: im pretty sure they're also legal-
Video!Donnie: no they arent!
Video!Casey: You heard Mikey, Purple's the smart one, so he must be right! Which makes me right!
Video!Raph: but your stance was on Vegas weddings-
Video!Leo, behind the camera: if you two are so sure about this why don't you go test it out? Theres a drive through chapel 45 minutes awayyyy
Video!Casey: no thats too far. You couldn't pay me to sit in a van with all five of you for that long.
Video!Leo: what if I paid you both $50?
Video!Donnie: done! CASSANDRA! What is your middle name I need to propose properly
Video!Donnie: *manages to fall over trying to stand up*
Video!Mikey: *laughing*
Video!Casey: its Marie. And I want one of those ugly poofy dresses.
Video!April: i'll throw in another $10 for you BOTH to wear ugly poofy dresses
Video!Mikey: ooh! Ooh! I wanna wear a dress too! Leo lets be flower girls together!
Video!Raph: if its a drive thru wedding does there need to be a flower girl?
Video!Leo: shhhhhh! Of course there can be flower girls! That just leaves you and April to duke it out over who's the Best Man and Maid Of Honor.
Video!April, pulling out her bat: dibs on Best Man!
Rise! Leo: and everyone's memories are a little hazy. Donnie doesnt legally exist so I dont think he can be legally married, April swears Casey told the priest guy her name was "Batman" which probably also doesnt make the marriage legally binding, but we all joke about it anyways

Welcome to Chapter Nine and Ten of Best Laid Plans
A/N:  I know.  Just trust me.  I have said that it will have a happy ending.  Just not yet.
This is a complete fiction - totally made up.  I do not, nor will I ever know Jake or any member of GVF.  That said, this story is mine.  Please respect that.
Are you starting to understand the barrage of bullets that @takenbythemadness has taken while proofreading this thing for me?  Yeah.  Send her all your positive vibes and forehead kisses, please and thank you.
Content warnings: Language.  Deep depression.  Poor view of self.  Poor mindset.  Talk of adultery.  Misogynic character.  Verbal arguing.  Divorce.  Be ready for a big reveal.  It hurts.  It’s not horrible, but it hurts.  Well... maybe a little horrible.
Word count: approx. 9500
Chapter 9: May, 1990: Jake POV
Life was a sham.  My life was less than the frail mist that hung amongst the branches of the tree that I could see out my back window.  I had sat for hours, the bottle between my fingers steadily grew lighter while my spirit grew atrophied and heavy.  She was gone.  Amanda carried everything out with her like she did not realize what she had taken from me.  And I allowed it.  Just like always.
I stirred against my better judgment.  My vision was blurred and my body was full of ache.  A familiar hum stuck my ear from the void beyond the couch that made me want to retreat into the bottle to hide my embarrassment.
“Dear lord, it moved,”  Josh’s voice rumbled in my ears without humor, but it also lacked malice.
I coughed as I leaned forward, my fingers reaching for a bottle that was no longer on the table before me.  I frowned as I realized that everything before me had been cleared away leaving only a tall glass of water.  “How long have you been here?”  I asked as I oozed back into the couch.
      “Couple days.  Henry called Ronnie…”
I grimaced as Josh ran through the line.  I had forgotten my parents were in Hawaii for an extended vacation.  I could just picture Ronnie pounding on my door, to which according to Josh, she wanted to kick my ass for not answering.
“But then, she got scared, so she used the key to find your nearly naked ass passed out about where you are now,”  he explained with a shiver through his shoulders.
I scrunched up my face as the heat of embarrassment flooded my system.  “Fuck,”  I sighed as my innards started to jiggle in protest.
“So, she called me and I happened to have some time,”  Josh remarked as he was swiping at the counter with a disgusted look.  “Jesus, Jake, when was the last time you cleaned this kitchen?”
I could barely hold my head up as my mouth started to flood with spit.
“Anyway, I’ve been covering what I can at the shop.  Sam got here yesterday and has been covering as well.  He brought Danny with him, so between Danny and Henry, all your lessons are covered for a few more days.  Dan’s heading out on tour,  so we really need to get your ass back into your shop.”
My brain felt like toasted marshmallow and my mouth felt like it was filled with paste.  Josh continued to clean, peeking into the oven to reveal the smell of food.  He said that Ms. Ada sent a casserole - well, actually had sent many over.  One for each day of this week.  My stomach soured with the smell and produced a round of nasty burps that sent me flying to the bathroom.  I retched everything out as if all the alcohol was fleeing my system by any means possible.   I could hear Josh’s ramblings as I thought for sure my internal organs were next to exit my mouth.  I was shit.  I was lower than shit and did not deserve any kind of help in the matter.
“Let’s get you into a shower,”  he said softly, pushing me by the shoulders to rest against the wall.
I had no fight left in me.  I watched as he turned on the spray, holding his hand under the water just like our mom used to, even did the little toe tap as he waited.  He ordered me to take off my rags and helped me over the ridge of the bathtub.  The water was like an acid spray as it struck my skin like hot sandpaper.  I sputtered and choked as I made a show of doing what he wanted me to do while he stood protectively at the edge of the tub.  I pushed my face under, allowing the sensation of heat and clean to consume my ravaged skin.  Josh, satisfied that I was not going to fall over like an idiot, walked away for a few minutes.
“This is clearly not about Georgia,”  he said, returning with clothes to set on the vanity.  “You danced a fucking jig when you signed those papers.  What gives?  I thought everything was going good.”
“I can’t talk about it,”  I whispered, allowing the water to pour down and beat upon my back.
“Bull shit,”  Josh remarked loudly.  “The last time I saw you like this was with…  god dammit.  Please don’t tell me you did something stupid and Amanda is involved.”
The stab in my chest was brutal.  I inhaled water and sputtered through a cough before regaining my senses.  “You’ve been at the shop.  Have you seen her next door?”
Josh stayed silent for a long time, leaving my guts to twist.  “She stopped in yesterday afternoon with treats for us from the morning poetry reading.”
I rolled my eyes shut, fighting myself from asking if she inquired about me; wondered if she noticed my absence.  Another strangled breath as I waited for more from him.
“I guess it makes some sense, now that I look at it,”  Josh remarked coolly.
His words toiled in my belly as I heard him leave the bathroom for a few minutes.  The sound of the closet door opening and drawers being forced to shut matched the cogs of my thoughts.  He could not hide, however, the exasperated sound that he ground out in my room.
“You’re the reason that poor woman looks destroyed,”  he said, his voice full of a hard edge.  “Meg and Bugger thought it was because her husband was back in town...”
I kept completely still.  I could feel it.  The pieces were falling into place slowly, each clicking with a metallic click that I could feel happen for my twin.
“Fuck, no, Jake,”  Josh growled, incredulous.
I shivered despite the heat of the water and steam all around me.  “Go make a pot of coffee.  I’ll tell you everything.”
I waited for him to argue with me right away.  Instead, I realized that he actually listened to me.  Finishing up my shower, I found that he had left a set of clean clothes for me on the vanity along with a new razor and shave cream.  It did not take long to feel human again, though my innards begged to differ.
Josh had the hot dish waiting on the kitchen table and the coffee was just finished brewing.  Just the smell of real subsistence made my body beg for respite.  Josh gave me a double portion along with the biggest mug of coffee, smoking a cigarette while he waited as I ate.  The food felt good in my belly, I could not lie.
“Okay,”  Josh remarked as I pushed my near empty plate away.  “Spill it.  What the hell have you been up to and how are you going to fix it.”
“There is no fixing it,”  I answered, feeling the exhaustion creep over me like a monster.
It started with a word.  Her name.  Amanda.  Followed by another word, followed by another until it was all falling out of my mouth like a wave.  Josh asked no questions, gave me no interruptions.  Just sat and listened.  When I felt my breath escape me as my shame rose, he waited.  When my face turned red and my voice curled with anger, he leaned away, but did not stop me.  He let me spill all of it onto the table between us like a demon that needed to be exorcized.  When I finally collapsed back in my chair, a cigarette between my fingers and my mouth quiet, Josh let out a long, low whistle.
“Damn, Jake,”  he whispered, his face full of emotions.  “That’s more than… a lot.”
I rubbed a hand across my face.  It was not all of it.  I took a long, deep drag before stretching my neck.  “And all of it is because of a lie.”
His brows furrowed as he picked up my dishes and moved to deposit them in the sink before refilling our cups.  “How’s that?”
“Liam was not mine,”  I whispered.
His face hardened.  “What the hell, Jake.  How is that true?”
“Georgia lied.  She was already pregnant when we…”  I refused to be crass, even if it was Josh.
“How do you know?  Did she tell you?”
I shook my head as my words tripped over a sob.  “She’d go off on these rants when she was really out of it.  But I got the gist of it - she pretty much said I was not his dad.”
I felt the emotion swell and bubble until I couldn’t hold back the tears that pushed from the corners of my eyes.  I swiped at them as Josh sat back down before me.  His eyes were full of love and compassion as his hands reached for my shoulders.
“You are that little boy’s dad.  Do you hear me?”  he said, voice full of tears, the same as my own.  “You loved him.  We all did.  We all wanted him to stay.  Jake, I’ve never seen you so full of life as I had when I saw you holding him.  Your boy.”
I was nodding as we cried together.  My heart wept daily for Liam.  Just because he was not of me did not mean he was not mine.  I knew this.  It was a burden that was carried for so long already.  To be able to share the burden with Josh was a relief.
“Do you think Mandy will leave her husband?”  he asked after a long silence.
I shrugged.  The beauty of my previous week lay as toxic sludge in my chest.  For her to walk out, I understood.  It took me a while to figure it out - she was leaving me so as not to allow Roger the satisfaction of throwing me into her face.  If she left him, she could have no mar to find that would allow him to have an advantage.  I got it.  I understood it.  But goddamn to have our brief time twisted into something wrong shoved me into a hole that I was struggling to climb out of.
Josh folded his arms with a troubled look.  “It won’t be an instant remedy, Jake.  If Mandy leaves her husband, their assets are more than what you and Georgia contended with.  Roger doesn’t seem like the kind of man that is going to be amicable no matter what situation he was caught in.  Mandy could lose her Sparrow.”
I felt the line of my mouth harden as my teeth mashed together.  “Motherfucker,”  I grumbled.  “I didn’t think about it.  Fuck.”
Josh’s expression told me he was already miles ahead of me.  He began to tap the table with thought.  “You’re going to have to keep your distance, Jake.  For her.  During all of this - you’re going to have to keep your distance.”
I kept my mouth shut for I knew something stupid would fall out if I said anything.  All I could do was shake my head ‘no’.  My teeth buried themself into my lip as if I was an angry toddler ready to drop a fit.
“I mean it.  You keep your distance.”
I was back to the shop the next morning, my shell back in place despite it feeling like it was two sizes too big.  Bugger was on shift, his eyes watching me like I was going to either explode or evaporate into the fog.  I had closed myself into one of the practice rooms with one of the new acoustics that we had gotten in to give it a spin.  I heard movement on the other side of the shared wall.  I imagined that it was Mandy, setting up for the Tuesday brunch crew.  I smiled as I landed on “It Hurt Me Too” by Hound Dog Taylor, my fingers digging into the frets in hopes that she would hear me.  I added in all my loud flourishes and soft touches until drawing into “These Arms of Mine”.  I just needed her to know we were okay.  That we would survive.
I was in my office when I heard the buzz of the door chime and Bugger’s voice flowing through the shop.  I stood up when I realized it was not just a customer that he was talking to.  Stepping beyond my door to find Mandy handing him the leftover treats  from her group with a shy smile made my chest tighten.  Josh was right, she was not out in the world like everything was fine.  She had not noticed that I was there, so I took the time to collect myself and keep Josh’s sentiment of keeping my distance in my thoughts.
“Glad to see you back, Jake,”  she said with a wave.  “Feeling better?”
I nodded, playing along.  “Yeah.  Much better.”
“Josh stopped in earlier on his way out to your parents,”  she replied as she watched Bugger make off with double brownies, chocolate chip cookies and Bailey bars.  “It was nice to get a chance to catch up with him.  Sounds like he’s got a huge project coming up.”
She was keeping to safe talk, though her eyes kept traveling to mine with a threat of tears.  I wanted to reach out to her.  I wanted to tug her into my office and hold her until it was better for us both.  I could only hope that she could see the broken heart that was within me.  We continued to chat for moments only before I saw the quiver in her lip.  I sucked in a breath knowing that I was about to lose my composure.
“I’ve got a call I need to get to,”  I said, glancing back to wherever Bugger had dragged the food away to.  “Are we up for coffee tomorrow?”
She swallowed and nodded.  “See you before open?”
     “I’ll be there.”
Routine was my saving grace in my life with Georgia.  It could be once again through whatever the hell it was that we had moved into between me and Mandy.  I could set a routine and keep to it if it meant that we could share a space.  If we could share a love.

Amanda POV
When I left Jake’s house, I made it to the bottom stair of my building before I had to sit down.  It was like all my breath, all my blood, all my fight had been leached out of my skin.  I left my entire being with him in hopes that he would use it to keep himself strong.  I left nothing for myself.  My body was racked with sobs so painful I thought for sure I would disappear into the ground.
Instead, my cries softened.  My pain sunk deep within.  A single word stuck me - yet.  I could not be Jake’s - yet.  I could not openly love him - yet.  I could not show the strength that he imbibed into my flesh over the week - yet.  I tucked the three letter word into my spirit and branded it in my mind.  Something so small could be just the armor that I was going to need for the fight that was to come.
Monday morning thankfully was quiet.  In the evening, over a lovely cup of tea, I started to put all of Roger's clothes, neatly folded, into a large shipping box.  His personal items, the bank and credit cards, all the important papers between us went into the singular box.  I took down all the pictures of him and us together and emptied out the frames, leaving the photos on the table.  I scoured the apartment, erasing any evidence of Jake’s presence from both the physical space and myself.  I hid away my feelings - both the hurt and the love.
Though I was half of myself, I forced myself to move.  I forced myself to do what I expected of myself.  I was in the shop for each group and customer.  I presented my smile and professional self, all the while, my spirit was weeping.  I noticed that Jake was not next door.  My concern, however, had to be buried with everything else.
Thursday rolled around.  The morning’s poetry reading thankfully went quietly.  I took the leftover danish into Martin’s, moreso as a way to see Jake, but to my surprise, Josh was manning the counter.  I caught sight of Mr. Henry in one of the practice rooms with a client.
“Amanda,”  Josh said warmly as Bugger practically ran him over to grab the tray I held.  “It’s good to see you.”
“I - I’m sorry, Josh.  I wasn’t expecting you to be here,”  I said, my eyes scanning for any sign of Jake.
“That’s okay.  Jake’s been sick,”  he said quickly, his hand coming down on my arm with a comforting pat.
I could not hide the urgency in my body as his words stuck my ears.  “He’s okay, right?  I mean, nothing serious?”
“Just a bad bug.  I’ll have him back on his feet soon,”  he said with a flash of a smile.  “You doing all right there?”
“Oh,”  I squeaked out.  “Yeah.  Just.  Rough day.  I better get back.”
At that point, I notice that both Bugger and Meg are watching me from the counter.  I waved and headed out, hoping to god to regain my composure.  Jake.  Sick.  It had put a crack into my composure.  I needed to fill it with concrete.  I needed to shut off the worry and just…
When I returned to the shop, I noticed that Mick was looking confused at the counter.  “You all right?”
He nodded as he cleared his throat.  “Uh, Roger just told me that you are head upstairs.”
“Mick,”  I said, moving directly in front of him, “what did he say exactly?”
He grew even more uncomfortable, unable to meet my eyes.  “He told me to tell that bitch to get her fat ass upstairs.”
Involuntarily, my lips rolled between my teeth.  The embarrassment on the man’s face was hurtful.  I reached out and touched his arm, just a brush of fingers.  “Thank you.  I’m sorry he did that.”
“I don’t think you should go.  He was really angry,”  he said quietly.
I nod before I place one pat on the counter between us.  “It’ll be fine.  Really.”
I did not allow the blaze of my anger show as I smiled and headed for the back door.  I took a moment to notice that at least no one else was in the shop to hear what was to come.  I walked the steps, noticing that the door was ajar.  He had found what I had done.  I could hear movement, but could not discern what he was doing.  One more breath.  One more thought of…
I pushed the door open to find that he was pulling everything out of the box that I had so neatly packed for him.  His eyes flashed at me with absolute fury.  I leaned against the doorframe with no intent of closing the door.
“What the fuck is this, Amanda?”  he raged, digging out his clothes.
“Your things.  I got them ready to go to your home.  Your home with Lydia,”  I said, keeping my tone level and calm.
He straightened.  His eyes darkened with threat.  “Get in here and close the damn door.”
“No,”  I said, making sure to keep my body still.  “I should tell you that my employee downstairs will be contacting the sheriff’s office if this gets out of control.”
It was not a lie.  The way I left Mick, I knew that he would be on alert.  I realized that I felt strong.  I felt strong in this man’s presence that had made me feel like I was only part of his shadow.  I folded my arms across my chest and decided to remain right where I was.
“This is ridiculous.  Get in here and get my shit back to where it belongs,”  he said sharply.
“No.  You will be removing your stuff and getting out of my apartment.  You are not welcomed here.”
A flash of memory.  A flash of Jake and I laughing across the kitchen table that all of his stuff was cluttering up.  A warmth filled me like I was finally moving in the direction I was always supposed to be moving in.  I just needed to trudge through this maze, this obstacle course that was stretching out before me and Jake would be waiting for me on the other side.  The prize that I so dearly wanted.
“If you think you can leave me -”
“I’ve contacted a lawyer, Roger.  This - this bull shit of a marriage is over.  I’m done.”
“You can’t be serious.  Mandy - that girl you talked to was lying.  I don’t know this - “
“I’m not an idiot, Roger.  I will not be treated that way.  Not by you, not by anyone.  You have made it abundantly clear that you hate it here.  You don’t like my shop.  You don’t like my life being here.  This is where I am and where I need to be.  I’m done.  I’m done with you playing my husband for thirty days of the year.”
His mouth twisted as he stared at me.  “So I’m right, then.  You’re already fucking someone else.”
“No.  Not that it matters, Roger.  You have never been faithful.  Our entire marriage-”
“I’m a man.  I’m on the road.  I have needs, Amanda.”
“You had a wife at home to provide for those needs.  You chose to do otherwise.  You chose this path.  And I’m done walking it.”
“Don’t think that I’m going to make this easy.”
      I shrugged.
“Don’t think I won’t take this place from you, you bitch.  When I’m done, you’ll have nothing.”
I shrugged.  It wasn’t my job to make him aware that it was not mine.  It was in a family trust that belonged to my family.  Protected.  I had scoffed when my father suggested this step, and then my lawyer backed it up.  I thought it was an unnecessary step.  And yet, I did it because a tiny voice said what would be the harm of taking that advice.  What wasn’t protected, I was quickly finding I did not care.  My lack of emotional response only infuriated him more.  I forced myself to keep cool.  I continued to keep my distance.  Little snippets of my interlude with Jake played behind my eyelids.  The loud laughter, the softest of touches.  It was like he refueled my skin, and recast my armor.  I could do this. I could survive this fire that the man before me would cause.
But then I returned to the minutes before.  Jake was sick.  My heart constricted as I silently watched Roger shove the items removed back into the box carelessly.  I offered to ship the box wherever he needed me to, to which he just glared at me.  I was going to have to have a long conversation with my parents.  I was going to have to talk with my sisters.  My brain was making lists of what I needed to do, and yet, my heart wanted nothing more than to go to Jake.
Roger nearly threw the box over the railing as he huffed down the stairs.  I followed at a distance.  Before he could open the backdoor to the store, I stopped him.
“The key.  I will be needing that key back,”  I said, keeping my voice void of feeling.
I watched as he yanked the keys from his pocket and threw them at me with intent.  I let them fly past and he bumbled through the store.  Poor Mick was standing with a customer in the mystery section, his face blanching of color.  I caught his eye before I went behind the counter to fetch the yellow pages.  A quick call to Mr. Peterson, and I was on the schedule to have all the locks of the building changed before the end of store hours.
I was on my way.  I had finally been strong enough to take those steps that would allow me to grow my broken wings back.  I apologized to the two pairs of eyes that watched me before I excused myself with the promise to be back after lunch.  I grabbed the discarded keys on my way back into the apartment.  I closed the door behind me to just take a moment to digest what I had done.  Echoes of Jake continued to pull me through the minutes bobbing through the wake of Roger’s departure.  The memory of him shoving the couch to the side so we could dance stupidly and fall against each other in a moment of heat and passion made me calm.
I put the kettle on with a smile.  I breathed out an embarrassed laugh as the next thought struck: Jake setting us up with coffee and pancakes when I had been so thoroughly fucked into the matress that I couldn’t move without laughing hysterically.  Yeah, he had been proud of himself that morning.  He was humming Cheap Trick and the swagger was oh so real.
Friday arrived and life continued.  Jake was still not in his shop, but neither was Josh.  Mr. Henry waved and accepted the coffee that I had brought.  Sam waved from behind the counter as he was talking with Bugger.  Sparrow was busy that day and just when I thought it wouldn’t get busier, it did.  It was all right though - it made the day go that much quicker.
Saturday morning there was a tap on my door, well before it was time for the store to open.  I was surprised to find Josh on my stoop, waiting with a warmth plastered to his mouth and concern etched in his eyes.
“I brought breakfast,”  he said, holding up a little pastry bag from Blaine’s.  “Do you have a few minutes to talk?”
“I happen to have coffee, come on in,”  I said after a few beats.  “You’ll have to excuse my mess…  Been a little crazy around here.”
He barely glanced around as he took the seat at the table I pointed to.  “It’s quite lovely up here isn’t it?  It’s very calming.”  He paused, his eyes tracing over the shared wall of Martin’s Music.  His eyes rolled closed as he chuckled.  “Probably not so calming when there’s a band up here though, is it?”
“Your brother is very strict about the schedule.  Of course, that didn’t happen until I threatened to kick his ass after the first time I was in here with some garage band with way too loud amps and way too late,”  I laughed as I sat down with him.  “Of course, he might have just been afraid of the Siouxsie Sioux  t-shirt and bed head.”
I was graced by one of his infamous belly laughs that set the air between us to a comfortable level.  He set out fresh apple turnovers before me with a grin.  The fact that he remembered warmed me.  We had had breakfast way before I left for college and the three of us just about turned ourselves inside out on these down at the diner.  I believe we cleared the case and Cindy just obliged to keep them out of her own mouth.  He took the first bite, letting out a groan of delight.
“Lord, I’d be like three hundred pounds if I still lived here,”  he complained through a mouthful of apple.
“Well, there is a reason why these are only available once a week now,”  I pointed out.  I took my own bite and breathed through the amazingness of the pastry.  I knew he was stalling.  Totally not a Josh move.  A sip of coffee, a bite into my lip and I sat back in my chair.  “Is he okay?”
He shrugged.  “He’s not sick.  I’m sorry I lied, but it’s our cover story.”
“I thought as much.”  But that was a lie.  I was scared.  Jake never missed a day.  “Well.  I had hoped, really.”
He gave me a sideways stretch of a smile.  “I’m worried, that’s why I’m here.  There’s only two people that put my brother into this kind of tailspin - Liam and you.
“I had to watch him fall apart with Liam.  He had made so many sacrifices for him, Mandy.  He had lost so much weight I was afraid that he was going to be ill in the worst way.  He was giving her everything and it didn’t make a difference.  But you -”
He was shaking his head as he pushed himself back from the table.  “There are only two people that he would literally bend himself inside out to protect.  Do you understand that?  Two.  I’m worried that you are walking a road that is going to be torture for him to have to watch.  Do you understand me?”
“What did he do?”  I whispered the words, knowing that Jake had tripped into a hole because of me.  Because of my words and actions.
The hesitation returned.  I watched him swallow down a gulp of coffee.  “He will be fine, Mandy, that’s what is important.  I’m not going to lie though, he’s fragile.  He was finally beginning to stand on his own - truly on his own, just taking care of himself after the divorce.  It’s been good.”
My heart tripped.  My spirit faltered.  I knew what he was asking of me before he got to the words.  I was going to have to get through this trial without Jake.  I released a burning breath as I hid behind an interested gaze.
“I am worried.  You see where I’m going with this, Mandy?”
I nodded.  “I was trying to figure out how…  I mean.  His friendship has been so very important.  I don’t think I can move through this without it.”
“I am not saying to disregard him completely.  But he needs to heal more - on his own.  Just as you are going to need to, as well.  There may be a day where it is possible,”  he said with a nod.  “You two seem to always find each other.  It just may not be in the manner than you think.”
My lips rolled into my mouth as I stifled a sob.  Josh was sure that we were wrong to be together.  He reached out and laid a hand on my arm.  A touch that was meant to be reassuring, comforting.  And it burned like hell.  I chewed the inside of my cheek as I fought again saying anything.  I knew he was right.  He was so damn right about it all.  I had had my chance.  Jake had…
“Accept it for what it can be, Amanda.”  Josh stood up, his touch still heavy on my arm.  “Friendship is about the only thing that is fine between you at this point.  Accept it.”
I watched as he left, leaving my heart in shreds.  In less than thirty minutes, he had taken every stitch of strength that Jake had given me.  I breathed into my empty apartment.  I was going to have to do this without Jake.

Chapter 10: September, 1990: Jake POV
My precious week with Mandy had been erased.  I would wake each morning haunted by the love that we had shared.  My heart would bleed out as I tried to stuff it back into my chest so that I could carry on without her as a normal human being.  I had survived the summer tourist season.  We had fallen back into our routine - I would meet her for morning coffee.  I would keep to safe talk, topics ranging from her book readings to my sponsoring the summer concerts in the park on Thursday nights.  With the Autumn Street Fair approaching, I worked on the committee to help plan and organize the event just like I had in years past.  This time, with the addition of Mandy, our time worn event got some fresh perspective.
Josh pretty much ordered me to go out and date.  Jeanette, the sweet soul that she is, had called to invite me to dinner, but I just couldn’t.  I wasn’t shutting myself away.  My wounds were too deep to find anything but a false smile.  So, like when I was surviving my time in my marriage, and after the divorce, I fell into routine.  I woke, I worked, I slept.  It took three months just to be able to go out for beers with Bugger and Meg.  I pretended that my time that I had felt the most free never happened.  I pretended that Mandy did not reside under my skin and within my very being.  And it was killing me to have to watch her struggle.
I could hear the frustration she was living through.  Roger was making her life hell, fighting the divorce every step of the way.  She had grounds of infidelity.  She had grounds of neglect.  But apparently Roger was able to procure a better lawyer who was making every day a nightmare for her.  She admitted to feeling like her every move was being watched.  She was convinced that Roger’s lawyer had someone watching to record any interaction with friends, family - men, women, it did not matter.
By the first of October, I had begun to feel strong enough that I could stand in Mandy’s presence and still be okay.  I started to go out with Henry and Ada, Ronnie and her husband, David.  I was like the kid who was just learning how to roller skate - holding onto the wall for dear life because I was afraid to fall on my ass - again.  I started meeting for beers with a few of the soccer dads a couple of times a month.  Before I knew it, the holidays were storming through in the typical chaotic manner.  Josh and I were having a drink at Miller’s when Jeanette was walking in with a group of friends.  It was not lost on my twin that she had once again caught my attention.
By the end of February we were dating fairly regularly - once again, not exclusive.  And it was enough.  I felt like I was returning to that person that I could be while I watched Mandy grow thin and weary of her situation.  I did all I could while remaining at my distance, to support her, to love her.
Jeanette was kind.  Josh pointed out in our phone calls that I needed to ‘do right by that woman and make it serious’, but in truth, she was setting our boundaries.  I know.  I know, but it’s true.  She was on the same plane as my own, broken by experience and unsure if she really wanted to share that deeply with anyone.  So really, we were each other’s support system.  A way to have that human contact and interaction without the intense emotional tethers  that were required for a serious relationship.  And it was better than trying to shack up with Tessa again.  That woman… just no.
We survived the rest of winter and the spring thaw without too much drama.  Jeanette and I were spending weekends away after discovering that we actually traveled together very well.  I felt healthy.
“I don’t think it’s a good idea to see you right now, Georgia,”  I had said, trying not to let my impatience show as I shuffled papers across my office desk as a way to keep my hands busy.
Georgia had called out of the blue.  It had been years since I had heard her voice and I was fine with that.  I had moved on from what we had and healed, mostly, from our time together.  My hands came to a full stop when she fell silent and I found myself listening to her breathing across the receiver for a long moment before she continued.
“I know you’ve heard this from me - many times, Jake,”  she said, her tone even and present.  “I’m trying.  Really trying.  I’ve been sober a full fifteen months this time.  I’ve been trying to…  I’m trying to really do it this time.”
I rolled my eyes to the ceiling.  This was the same conversation that I had heard too many times before.  The only difference was that the hurt that once had been attached to her words was absent.  I blew out a long breath and was shaking my head like she could see my answer across the phone.
“Jake, I need to make amends,”  she whispered.  “There are things that I need to say to you - for you to hear from me.  You owe me nothing, and I get that.  I do.  But I think if I allow myself to just-”
“Allow yourself?  Do you hear yourself right now?  How absolutely selfish that sounds, Georgia?”  I let the words go before I thought them through.  I was once again buying into her game and I needed to just stop.
“Sorry.  Sorry.  Really.  I don’t mean to sound selfish.”  I could hear the tears in her voice and I forced myself to soften.  “Please.  Just give me a half hour of your time.  It will be good for both of us, Jake.  Please?  I can meet you after your soccer practice at the park.  You still do that, right?”
June first and I had my team running their asses off up and down that field starting at eight in the morning.  Each and every one of those kids loved it, too.  I had brought out the big box, booming music across the grass.  I let them pick the day’s band and I supplied the tunes.  I noticed Georgia waiting at the edge of the field.  She was wearing jeans and a t-shirt, looking too thin as her blonde hair fluttered in the wind.  I could have been kind and wrapped up practice on time, but the kids were having too much fun, so I let it run over by nearly twenty minutes.  The parents were joining in at the end, their smiles wide as they bounced around with their children.
To my surprise, she waited until after I had cleaned everything up and packed the car before she moved towards me.  Her dark eyes were clear and healthy.  Her smile was honest.
“Thank you for seeing me, Jake,”  she started, her voice even and strong.
I nodded once, my guard up and locked tight.
“Do you want to walk, or sit, or…”  she laughed nervously.
“Just say what you need to, please,”  I said as I folded my arms across my chest, wary of what was to come.
“Right to it, then,”  she said, hands sliding into her pockets as she let out a nervous laugh.  “I wronged you from the start.  I know this is going to be hard to hear, but Liam…”
I swallowed hard.  My eyes flattened as I looked at her.  “If you’re going to tell me that Liam was not my son, Georgia, I already know.”
She flinched.  “When did you know?”
“I don’t know - maybe I started believing it after one of the several dozen times you begged for his ‘real daddy to stay’, or if his ‘daddy was a better man he would’ve stayed’?”  I did not attempt to hide the heat of anger that was spiking in my brain.
“If things would have been different…  If he was still here,”  she was struggling, faltering across her words like the only thing that could save her was a drink.  I knew it.  I knew that stammer and that look of need too well.  I slowed down, she did not need to be provoked.  “If he was still here, Jake, you would’ve been his daddy no matter what.  You would’ve loved him-”
“I love him still, Georgia!”  I shouted, all my venom leaking through my mouth with bitter accuracy.  “I was there in the hospital.  I held him.  I touched him and sang to him every moment that he was with us.  He’s with me every day.  Every day!  Do you hear me?  I talk to him, sing with him.  My son.  No matter what.”
She wiped at her face.  I wiped at mine.  The rage was not simmering down as it normally would.  It pulsed through my veins at a dangerous pace.  I needed to walk away.  I needed to just be rid of her presence.
“If that’s all you have to say, I’ve got to go,”  I said, digging in my pocket for my keys.
“Jake, stay,”  she said through her jagged breaths.  “That's not all.”
“The fuck,”  I growled, unable to hide my emotions.
I watched as she shored herself up while I felt my whole foundation begin to crumble beneath my feet.  Her eyes turned to the ground for a long moment like she was gathering her words.
“I listened to you talk about your Amanda all that night,”  she said quietly.  Too stunned, I found my chin sliding forward so my ears could hear better.  “How in love you were.  How good of a man you were.  I knew I was pregnant.  What you all didn’t see was I was in full panic that whole night.  Clint had left me the day before once he knew about the baby.  I knew I couldn’t do this alone.”
She paused.  I felt like all my air was being wrung from my lungs as I tried to keep my focus.
“I knew you would be the kind of man to take responsibility, Jake,”  Georgia said, her voice warbling across each syllable.  “I watched you leave the party.  You had had too much to drink.  I made sure of it.  I helped you out of your clothes and got you into bed.  We never had sex, though.  You blacked out.  It was so easy to make you think otherwise.”
Shock would not begin to explain what happened in my system in that moment.  My world gave way as my knees buckled beneath my weight.  A sound emitted from my gut that came close to the pain of losing Liam.  It was a sound that carried the loss of a life that should have been.  It carried every ounce of dreams and hopes and wishes for a life that was concrete and real and full of love and possibilities.  A life with Amanda.
Georgia knelt down beside me and my broken frame.  She tucked her hands in her lap.  There was shame and remorse etched across her breath for what she had done.  We cried together, but for different reasons.
“Jake, to say I’m sorry is not enough,”  she whispered, her back bending because of the pain she had caused.  “There is no excuse other than the fact it came from a place of absolute fear.  I was so desperate-”
“You fucking took my life,”  I mumbled.  I stared at a blade of grass as my brain tried to clutch at the devastation that had been put upon me.  “You didn’t just do this to me.  You did this to her.  You did this to hurt her.  And I was faithful.  You made me believe that I hurt her.  That I fucking broke our relationship.  I…”
The breeze against my flaming skin did little to cool me.  Georgia sat with me as I tried to put two words together that would make a lick of sense, to make what she did okay.  But it was so wrong.  All of it.  Quiet tears leaked from the corners of my eyes and I could hear her beside me stifling sniffles.  My eyes shifted to her, honing in on the guilt that bubbled from every pore of her.  There was no fix.  There was no repair that could ever return me to my path that should have been.
“I don’t ever want to see you again,”  I whispered, my voice void of me.  “Do not call.  Do not come back here - at all.  If you were looking for forgiveness-”
“I was not looking for forgiveness,”  she said, her voice quivering.  “I was only looking to give you a truth that has tortured me for all this time.  Maybe give you back a piece of you that you thought I had ruined.  This is the amends that I extend to you, Jake.  Somehow a way to forgive yourself.  To-”
“You didn’t just ruin me.  You obliterated everything.  How is that giving me back anything?”
She blew out a soft breath.  “I said that wrong.  What I mean was that you were always a good man, Jake.  You were always good.  I know what you thought you had done to Amanda, how you thought you had broken her trust…”  She let out a fractured sob as she shook her head.  “You were always hers.  Mine sometimes.  But you were always hers, Jacob.”
I watched as she stood.  My body fought against my wish to rise up with her but I did.  I held my arms out to her.  It was not forgiveness.  It was acceptance.  I hugged her for a moment before letting her go.  I moved my feet towards my car and did not look back at her.  That book was closed.  It will stay closed this time.

Amanda POV
If I thought that I was lonely before, I was sorely wrong.  The absolute isolation was crippling as I began my filing for divorce.  My lawyer, Mr. Upton, was very good, very empathetic.  But Roger’s lawyer, Mr. Roburn, was more expensive with more resources at his disposal.  Sparrow, of course, became the first point of contention.  Roburn argued that it was my original plan to leave Roger, hence my reasons for placing my store into a trust.  Mr. Upton, utilizing all fiscal records and legal precedence, that regardless of reasoning, the shop did not belong to me, but to my family and was not a joint asset as Roger had assumed.  Of course, then it was argued that I had used my husband’s money for the down payment of the building…
Back and forth.  East and West.  Round the circle once more.  Roburn’s whole strategy was to wear me down.  Mr. Upton, on the other hand, stayed in step with the correct argument that kept me protected and Sparrow in my hands.  Then came the implications that I had been unfaithful.  Pictures were presented of me having coffee with Jake, along with Mick and Robin, Bugger and Meg.  It was totally innocent of course, but it led to other pictures where I was talking just with Jake.  That was an uncomfortable conversation with Mr. Upton - one where I was not truthful.
Jake was called into a deposition by Mr. Roburn, to which it was suggested, as well as pictures shown, that I had an ongoing relationship with him.  Jake explained that we had had a relationship over the summer of 1981 and that we were merely close friends.  He then pointed out that the pictures that were showing just me and him talking were actually just a zoomed in photo of the previous ones, in his music shop with plenty of others present.
He had become distant.  It was fine.  It was enough that I could still share a space with him as I struggled my way through my day to day.  The nights were hard.  Too often, I tried to manifest him to be with me.  Be in my bed holding onto me so that I might not fly apart.  But he never came to me.
I retreated.  It was all I could do.  I kept my social circle to my family only.  My parents were beside themselves and were absolutely stunned as my dirty laundry was being dragged out for everyone to see.  They let me cry about it behind their closed doors, though.  I came to realize that it was not just me that was the topic of Frankenmuth’s hot gossip tongues, but my family as well.  It was gross and wrong, but I had to just keep my head up and live through it.  I had done nothing wrong to warrant such loose tongues.
As the weeks passed, I watched from the sidelines how Jake healed and returned to his life.  It was nice to just be friends again, to talk and laugh.  It hurt when I was out at the farmer’s market with Jenni and her little boy and I saw him with Jeanette Williams.  He did not see me.  His whole attention was on her.  At first I was anxious, my skin feeling like it had been stomped on.  But then…  I stilled and watched as he smiled at her.  Really smiled.  His whole body was relaxed and at peace.  And it was not because of me or my presence.  Jeanette had been in Ronnie’s class in school.  She always had a reputation of just being kind.  I knew she had always been well liked.  Perhaps it was something that nurtured him in his time of need without me…
What a selfish thought it was and I knew it the moment that it struck.  I tried to move away.  To allow my nephew to tug me towards the homemade candy, but I chanced a glance back to see what had been there a year before - happy.  Jake was happy.  There was no denying what I saw because it was so lovely to see.
The months lingered on like the calendar refused to shed its days and weeks in a timely manner.  It hurt.  Everyday there would be a call regarding this or that from Mr. Upton.  I watched as those around me seemed to move with such life.  With such pleasure.  I was rooted to my spot.  Not allowed to drift amongst the stars or through the leaves that scattered across my path.  It was truly the first time that I had no idea what my tread would look like when I emerged from this blackened tunnel that I had found myself wandering through.
My Sparrow was my salvation.  No matter what - she was there providing my steady company and sure footed companion that continued to grow and evolve and bear fruit under my care.  I could hide amongst her books and hold up new ideas that would take on a life of their own for those who entertained such fancy things as the offerings of a soon to be divorcee’s book shop.
Yeah.  The opinion I entertained of myself was pretty low.  I was not coping well with all the punishing gut punches that the divorce was dishing to me.  It was not like I was asking for anything other than for my marriage to be over.  I did not want his money.  Roger was very, very comfortable.  He worked hard to be so comfortable.  I did not deny that.  I had worked excruciating hours at Franklin and done well, myself.  I did not care that a portion of my funds were still residing in our joint accounts.  I would have gladly given him it all just to walk away.  During mediations, I even blurted out the fact that I wanted nothing.  I questioned why he was dragging his feet on the matter.  He had another woman.  He had not one, but two kids with her.  In the wake of the silence that followed, I excused myself with the last bit of what he had done to my body against my own wishes.  Was that not enough to wish to escape that marriage?
August of 1991 was hot.  It was the kind of hot where you would shower, towel off and be wet before you reached the bathroom door.  It was gross and sticky and smelly and I was wishing for the weather to break.  The thunderstorms were coming like crazy, but as soon as one would bring relief, another cycle would start up.  The a/c in Sparrow was down.  I sent Mick and Robin home and hung a sign that we were too hot to function.  I had to wait a few days before I could get anyone out to actually look at the unit.  I stayed in the hotel at the other end of the street as the apartment was like a twenty four hour sauna.  I watched as my precious books were beginning to buckle under the humidity.  I had to invest in a window unit just to keep the moisture from ruining my stock.
It was one of those weeks where I had not heard from Mr. Upton.  I was not sure if that was a good thing or not.  Perhaps it was too hot in Detroit, too, and he decided to distance himself for a respite from my idiot case.  The 14th found me on the phone once again with my a/c man in hopes that he would be there before the end of the day.  I had just crossed my fingers when the chime on my door rang out admitting Mr. Upton.
I watched quietly as he pulled a large manilla envelope from his briefcase and held it out for me.  “You asked for nothing but the dissolution of your marriage.  He has finally given it to you.”
The relief that rushed across my body left me breathless.  Sparrow was safe in my care.  I asked for nothing and nothing was given.  I carefully opened the sheath of papers and took the extended pen from Mr. Upton.  His kind eyes met mine for the briefest of moments before he began to point to each spot that required my signature, explaining each passage with a patience that exuded a comfort.  On the last page, the moment swelled.  I stared at Roger’s huge, elaborate strokes across the heavy paper.  He had relented.  I licked at my lips before I leaned over once more and slowly scratched my name into the paper that would untie the chain that had kept me locked in place.
I shook the man’s hand and watched as he loosened his tie before leaving the shop.  I looked around and absorbed the stillness.  I may have wiped a tear or two away.  My gut told me to go next door and tell Jake.  But my spirit told me to stop.  Take in the stillness a little longer.  I sat down at one of the cafe tables and just breathed.  I allowed my chest to rise and fall uninhibited.  I was free.
Instead of telling anyone in the family, I called Mick, followed by Robin.  They agreed to take care of the shop and make sure the a/c repair was finished and assure them the bill would be paid upon arrival.  I walked up the steps to my apartment and found my bag.  Within thirty minutes, I had packed a few outfits and everything that I would need.  I jumped in my car and I left Frankenmuth - alone.
I drove.  I took breaks at rest stops.  I stayed in shitty motels.  I had called my parents from some town west of Toronto and assured them that I was fine.  I just needed out for a few days.  It was the most impulsive thing I’ve ever done, but I drove all the way to Maine, finding a little cottage motel that I stayed in for three days, right on the ocean.  It was like all the heat, all the damage, all the injury was relieved.  I walked the beach.  I drank the sea breeze and fed on the wildness of the landscape.  I landed in the bar and got picked up by a very attractive man who said he was on his way out to sea.  Didn’t matter if it was true or not.  He fucked me sideways and made me cum hard for two damn days.
I celebrated myself for twelve days.  I took my time getting home, taking in the first hints of the autumn as I was passing through Pennsylvania.  When I got home, I relished it.  My parents welcomed me, my sisters laughed with me.  It was two days since my arrival back and I dared to walk into Martin’s to find Jake.  I knew he had heard the news the moment he looked at me.  His smile welcomed me into a hug that my body had been screaming for for months on end.
And he held on.  I was sure Bugger and Meg were drifting away from just being uncomfortable, but I didn’t care.  I breathed him in and let him hold me while my trials over the past year settled into my bones and across my flesh.  It was a victory.  It was a victory worth savoring.  As he let me go though, I knew I wasn’t ready.  I looked into his face and it was a whispered agreement.  A ‘maybe’, but not yet.
I’ll see you next Wednesday.  💚
