I wanted to make AU of Plo surviving Order 66 and somehow joining in 'Hidden ones' as one of the founding member.
And somehow for some kind of Force's will, Ahsoka and Wolffe meets with Baran Do Sages to protect them from Empire? And somehow dragged to secrets of the Hidden ones and finding Plo there.
And this is what I tried to make
Tumblr media
...and Ahsoka and Plo hugges for a moment and Wolffe just broke down again with shock.
Ahsoka: Master Plo, we need your help. You don't have to hide anymore, you still can fight with us.
Plo: (casually hugging weeping Wolffe) As much as I want to help you with my power, little 'soka... I already made promise as the Hidden ones. I have new name, and no more alive in outer world. I have to remain here. I am so sorry little ones. But you have to leave from here. You might not be welcomed by this people's.
Wolffe: (suddenly switches to Commander mode) Sir, I'm afraid that even we want to leave here, we won't able to reach entrance for now. We are trapped here anyway.
Ahsoka: Yep, that's true.
Plo: Well, Jedi's way is always full of troubles.
Ahsoka: We are no Jedi anymore.
Plo: Force works in mysterious way, little 'soka.

Rewatched the Phantom Menace yesterday, and I can’t help but think that half of the problems would have been solved if Plo Koon had said anything during the Council meeting. I have no idea what it would be. But it would have solved so many problems because Plo Koon is just like that.
I’m not blaming Plo Koon for this to be clear, I’m blaming the writers who kept him quiet. He would have been too powerful and problem solving and so they had to silence him.

Knockout Ch. 11
Chapter Summary:
The quiet felt wrong, stilted, and Tup shivered despite himself. Most troopers spent their lives constantly surrounded by their vode, finding comfort in the near constant din of their brother’s voices, even in quieter spaces like the medbay. Right now, though, Patch’s quiet groan was the only sound, as he flipped Wolffe over where he was sprawled out on the medbay floor, still down for the count.
Ch. 11: Processing
“W-What happens now?”
Tup’s words echoed in the tense silence of the medbay. The slight tremble in his voice that he hadn’t quite been able to shake was back in full-force, and he clenched his fists in frustration, both at himself and this whole situation.
Taking the Commander’s pulse, Patch let out a quiet huff of relief. “He should be out for a while; give us some time to figure out what to do.”
He sighed, motioning for Dogma to help him get Wolffe onto one of the nearby med beds. But Dogma didn’t move, still in the same spot he’d been in when Wolffe had collapsed.
That had been far too close— his hands shook when he glanced down at them, the hypo from earlier having clattered to the floor. He felt sick, and his hand burned with the hypo’s absence, knowing that he could’ve killed a vod– almost had to kill a vod– that or let Tup die at a brother’s hands.
After another long moment, Dogma finally took a step, knees weak with the relief that he didn’t have to make that choice. He wasn’t sure how he’d ever look the Commander in the eyes, after that, but Patch had saved them all from a much worse fate.
Noticing Dogma’s hesitation, Patch gave him a tired smile, hoping to reassure him. “He’s out, Dogma. Won’t be waking up for at least a few hours, with the sedative in his system. Those things hit like a sledgehammer to the circadian rhythm. It’s why us medics are so hesitant to use them for run-of-the-mill insomnia and battle stress.”
“R-Right.” Dogma stuttered before finally moving to help get the Commander off the floor. They had barely managed to get him up onto a medbed when a thunder of footsteps sounded just outside the door. Tup flinched back behind a monitor and Blu aimed one of the Commander’s blasters at the door, only to lower it with a sigh of relief when General Koon was the first one to enter, followed by the others.
“General Plo, it’s good to see you, sir.” He said, voice faint with relief as he waved the group further into the medbay. The Commander had worn his helmet when he’d entered earlier, his voice cold and indifferent through his vocoder. Thankfully, when the others entered the chaotic medbay, including Boost, Sinker, Kix, and even Hardcase trailing behind them, Dogma’s heightened nerves relaxed a little as he saw their wide eyes and concerned looks.
The General wasted no time, standing at Wolffe’s bedside with a pensive look on his face, obvious even with his mask and goggles.
“His presence in the force is clouded. I could not sense him when I entered.” He murmured, placing a careful hand on the Commander’s forehead.
“We think his chip was activated.” Fives replied, standing up with a groan, holding a bacta patch to his right temple where the Commander had launched him into a wall. “He was trying to kill Tup, and anyone else who got in the way.”
“H-He wasn’t himself…” Patch added worriedly. “He called Tup by his number, and his voice…” He paused with a shudder. “I’ve never heard him sound like that. ‘Was all I could to sedate him when he was distracted.”
Boost blinked, stunned. Even when teaming up during sparring practice, it was a rare day indeed when someone got the upper hand on the Commander. “Wait, Patch, you took him down?! B-But you’re a medic!”
“I have bad days!” Patch’s voice bordered on hysterical; this whole thing had been a lot for him– definitely not good for his heart. He took a long breath to steady himself before adding, “It was a joint effort– but it almost felt like he was going easy on us. Like he was fighting it.”
At that, the room went quiet, and a chill went down Patch’s spine when he thought about how much worse it could’ve been. Small mercies– if control chips in every clone’s brain could be called a mercy.
“I want it out– we need them out!” Fives growled, his sentiment echoed by nearly every trooper in the room.
Patch was already nodding, reluctantly comming Korbel– the CMO was grumpy on a good day with a full night’s sleep, but he didn’t want to chance Wolffe waking up and trying something he’d regret. “Agreed. Wolffe first– keeping him sedated is a short term solution, and w-we don’t– I don’t know enough to say whether the changes would be permanent or not.” He swallowed hard at that statement, feeling cold. Especially with the Commander’s history of head trauma, there’s no telling what the long-term effects would be.
When a clawed hand gripped his shoulder in warm support, Patch glanced up at the General in quiet surprise.
“The Commander is shrouded from me, but not gone. Do not lose hope, Patch. I sense that Wolffe’s stubbornness will endure.”
Patch nodded, laughing wetly as he choked back tears. He’d have time for that later. “R-Right. Thank you, sir.” He took another moment to settle himself, still a little shaky with adrenaline now that the fight was over, but his anxiety shot back up as Fives’ eyes widened.
“Wait– won’t the Kaminoans be expecting some sort of update? How do we do that without the Commander– or without them brainwashing whoever we send in his place?” Normally, Fives would happily volunteer to impersonate a commanding officer, but with the threat of the chips, him and the rest of the Wolfpack were out.
Technically, Tup could do it, but he was almost as bad of a liar as Fives was, and with his emotions out of whack since everything had happened, Fives didn’t know if he could guarantee that Tup wouldn’t give something away, even in full armor. Still, they were running out of options, and Fives didn’t know if–
“I’ll do it.” Dogma’s quiet voice startled Fives out of his thoughts, tense with nerves but resolute in his desire to protect his batchmate.
“What? Dogma, I-”
“My chip didn’t work– probably never did. I-I’m…” He swallowed nervously, terrified at the thought of being found out by the Kaminoans, but he could do this. He had to do this. For Tup.
“I’m the only one who can.”
And as much as Fives hated to admit it, Dogma was right. Glancing around the room at the rest of his brothers for confirmation, Fives finally gave Dogma a resolute nod before standing to help divest the Commander of his armor.
Hopefully Dogma had a good sabacc face.
______________________
Sitting in the quiet medbay, Fives and Tup shifted restlessly as they waited for an update from the others. Dogma had kitted up in the Commander’s armor before sending the Kaminoans a comm to let them know that the chips had been dealt with.
Hardcase and Kix had helped him come up with the wording, being the only two vode among them who could lie reasonably well. Little notes like calling Nala Se “doctor,” instead of “sir,” referring to Tup as a traitor, and other minor details that would hopefully keep them safe from future orders. As much as they wanted to join him, they could only hope and plead with the Force that their deception wouldn’t be discovered, especially not before the chips had been dealt with.
Sans armor, the Commander himself was currently in surgery, with CMO Korbel currently removing his chip. If it was safe, the rest of their chips would be removed shortly after. While the procedure itself didn’t take too long, the medic himself was running on four hours of sleep, kaff, and spite, but for now they’d decided to prioritize those in command and the wayward 501st troopers. After Boost and Sinker, Fives was first in line.
Hands clenched tightly around the datapad that held the key to the Separatist plot, Fives’ thoughts spun in circles, anxious for an update.
“Can I see it?”
“What?” Blinking away his thoughts, Fives glanced questioningly at Tup.
“The list. With the orders– I-I need to know…” Tup swallowed, a pit of dread filling his stomach. He still didn’t remember much from when his own chip had started to go haywire, but still. He could’ve been made to kill his vode, murder civilians, even kill himself. He needed to know what that chip in his head had almost made him do.
Fives paused for a long moment, limbs going still as he gave Tup a searching look before finally nodding in agreement. He pulled up the list on his datapad before handing it to Tup with a sympathetic look.
Tup nodded in thanks as he took the datapad, taking a long breath before finally giving it a look. Adjusting his new glasses, he read through line after line of horrors, just as bad as Fives had said, and worse, but a chill went down his spine as his gaze stopped at Order 66, and he knew with certainty which order had been triggered inside him. His breath shook and he squeezed his eyes shut in an attempt to calm himself. He didn’t even realize he was shaking until Fives put a hand on his shoulder in quiet support.
“Alright, Tup?” Fives asked cautiously.
It was a di’kutla question; he knew as soon as he asked. None of them were alright– Commander Wolffe was fighting for his life, Dogma was impersonating a Commanding officer, and they were all one comm call away from being killed by their vode, stuck with kriffing time-bombs in their heads.
Tup seemed to agree with the sentiment as his breathing sped up and his movements went choppy. Voice ragged with nerves, it was all he could do to humm a thready acknowledgement as he attempted to get his breathing back under control.
Tup had always been on the anxious side, for most vode, but it took a surprising amount of effort to reign himself in, even with Fives’ comforting hand offering a warm support, gently guiding him back to himself. But finally, he managed to steady himself enough to answer when Fives asked, “Which one was it?”
Tup swallowed, throat suddenly dry. “Order 66.”
“Kriff.”
Tup huffed a choked laugh, slightly hysterical despite himself. “Yeah…” He trailed off, leaning in when Fives pulled him into a hug.
They had just separated again when the medbay doors whooshed open and Dogma stepped in, tugging nervously at the ill-fitting armor, thankfully not significant enough to be noticeable over a holocall.
“Well?” Fives asked, one arm still tight around Tup.
Taking off the Commander’s helmet, Dogma gave them a short nod, face pale but eyes shining in relief. He hadn’t kriffed it up, and now the Kaminoans were off their tails, assuming that all evidence of the chips had been tossed out an airlock, never to be seen again. They were safe for the moment, free to go back to the 501st, alert the Jedi, and get these chips out of their brothers’ heads. All of them.

STAR WARS PREQUELS - A TIMELINE
So, what's this about, huh? After recently sitting down with Star Wars Timelines, I was genuinely surprised at just how much they were willing to nail down to a specific year and sequence of events, which admittedly is a reference book and those are pretty low on the canon totem pole so be prepared for future retcons down the road, but it's shockingly useful information to have! Because the more I paged through it, the more I realized just how useful it would be for fic writers, especially for anything that might be referenced by a prequels character. Do you want to know how old the Jedi Order basically is? What the eras were called, if a prequels character wanted to reference them? What year did Dooku leave the Jedi? When did Naboo join the Republic? When was the Republic founded? When was the Jedi Temple built? When was Yaddle born? When did the Togruta ally with the Republic? Was Anakin born on Tatooine? When did Plo discover Ahsoka? When did Anakin get his first kyber crystal? When did Obi-Wan join the Jedi Council? WHEN DOES THE MANDALORIAN CIVIL WAR TAKE PLACE?? Some of this is SO INTERESTING to have nailed down into place--like just how old Huyang is or that the Jedi Temple was constructed on Coruscant BEFORE the Republic existed! Useful for me to know, but also my prequels-era characters to know! This book is willing to tell us A LOT and I collated everything I thought would be useful for a prequels character to know! ERAS:
c.5,000 BBY– 1,032 BBY: Ancient conflicts "The Jedi and Sith wage a series of wars throughout their history so ruinous that at points each is brought to the brink of destruction."
c.500 BBY–330 BBY: "The Age of Exploration" "After centuries of governing in regions near the galactic Core, the Republic sets out to explore the Outer Rim. This era of exploration on the frontier presents many adventures and opportunities for the Republic and the Jedi Order alike, but growth also leads them to uncover new mysteries and dangers. Soon the Jedi Order’s very connection to the Force is put to the test."
c.500 BBY–100 BBY: "The High Republic" The four hundred years that are collectively referred to as the High Republic era.
TIMELINE:
c.25,025 BBY: BIRTH OF THE JEDI
"The Jedi Order is founded. Among the earliest locations, and likely the first, is a temple constructed on the planet of Ahch-To. Later, the temple retains the most treasured Jedi texts and earliest writings on the Order’s faith. For eons, these noble protectors stand united by their ability to harness the power of the Force itself for good."
c.25,020 BBY: Professor Huyang powered up "The architect droid Professor Huyang begins training Jedi younglings in the delicate art of lightsaber construction."
c.20,000 BBY: Dawn of the Republic
"The foundation of the Republic is formed through an alliance including Coruscant, Corellia, and Alderaan, prompted by the dawn of hyperspace travel."
c.5,000 BBY: Creeping darkness
"A dark-side sect splinters from the Jedi, causing the formation of the Sith. This fracture is the genesis of a millennia-long rivalry."
c.5,000 BBY–1,032 BBY: "The Sith battle the Jedi in numerous conflicts for thousands of years before their struggle comes to an end, resulting in the destruction of the Sith Empire."
c.5,000 BBY–1,032 BBY: "The Sith build shrines on planets, including Malachor and Moraband. They covet these locations for their connection to the dark side of the Force."
c.1,050 BBY: A Mandalorian Jedi
"Tarre Vizsla becomes the first of the Mandalorian warriors to be inducted as a member of the Jedi Order. The unique lightsaber he constructs comes to be known as the Darksaber, later stolen to be used as a symbol to unite his planet."
c.1,032 BBY: Coruscant Temple erected
"The main Jedi Temple on Coruscant is constructed at the same location where there was once a Sith shrine."
c.1,032 BBY: "Darth Bane, the last surviving Sith, recognizes that infighting and back-stabbing ultimately led to the downfall of the Sith Empire. He declares the Rule of Two, whereby there can only be a sole master and single apprentice of the Sith. The practice safeguards the inherently selfish Order from self-destruction, thus ensuring the survival of the Sith for centuries to come."
1,000 BBY: Reformation of the Republic
"The first incarnation of the democratic alliance of planets, the Galactic Republic, is reformed."
c.972 BBY: Rules of war
"The Galactic Accord of Systems establishes a set of rules of engagement, in the event another war should break out."
896 BBY: Yoda is born
"The future Jedi Master Yoda is born."
832 BBY: Construction of Theed
"Naboo’s capital city, Theed, is built. The floating city on the banks of the river Solleu becomes the jewel of the metropolis."
867 BBY: Naboo joins the Republic
"The planet of Naboo officially joins the Galactic Republic. The event will be commemorated annually with The Festival of Light."
796 BBY: Students of Yoda
"Master Yoda begins training Jedi. He will maintain this regular practice, teaching the newest members of the Order, for about 800 years."
600 BBY:
Jabba Desilijic Tiure is born.
509 BBY:
Yaddle is born.
c.392 BBY: PATHFINDERS
"The Republic and the Jedi establish Pathfinder teams to explore new hyperspace lanes in the farthest reaches of the galaxy. A team of Pathfinders typically includes two Jedi, a master and their apprentice, who work together with their Republic allies to discover new ways through dangerous and unexplored places. They work with communications teams who lay the groundwork for the infrastructure needed for Republic growth. In return for their efforts, the Jedi Order hopes to gain new understanding of the galaxy, new cultures, and the Force."
c.383 BBY: THE HYPERSPACE RUSH
"Independent explorers also race to discover new paths through hyperspace. These prospectors risk their lives in perilous, uncharted corners of the Outer Rim, hoping to find safer, shorter routes. Families like the Grafs and San Tekkas earn great fame and fortune by selling their knowledge of these new hyperlanes."
382 BB The First High Republic book of Phase II
The High Republic: Path of Deceit kicks off the second phase of books, set 150 years before the previous phase.
382 BBY: Battle of Jedha
"The Path of the Open Hand instigates a battle on the sacred moon of Jedha."
232 BBY The First High Republic book of Phase I:
The High Republic: Light of the Jedi, which kicks off the original era of the High Republic (out of universe, not in universe), starting with the Great Hyperspace Disaster where a ship explodes in hyperspace over the planet Hetzal Prime. This ignites an intergalactic conflict with the Nihil that draws the Jedi and the Republic into a massive connected, long-running series of battles against them.
232 BBY:
"Dignitaries and Jedi gather at the Starlight Beacon for its official dedication ceremony."
The Great Hyperspace Disaster (the Legacy Run explodes in hyperspace) happens and the Jedi rush to help mitigate the disaster and evacuate as many people as they can.
"The brave deeds of the Jedi Order [in the Great Hyperspace Disaster] are cast across the galaxy via holotransmissions, making Kriss and her fellow Jedi heroes."
The Emergences: "Though Hetzal has been saved by the heroics of the Jedi, fragments of the Legacy Run continue to threaten the frontier. Fear grips the Outer Rim as blazing wreckage of the ship appears with little warning from hyperspace. As the Republic seeks answers to these Emergences, a group of Jedi stranded in a forgotten corner of space unknowingly cause a far older and more sinister threat to emerge: the Drengir."
"Wreckage from the Legacy Run scatters through hyperspace, endangering the Outer Rim. The first of the Emergences after the Great Hyperspace disaster occurs at Ab Dalis, killing 20 million beings."
"The Nihil strike on Elphrona, intending to ransom well-connected homesteaders and capture a Jedi for Marchion Ro’s evil machinations."
"The Jedi Council votes to join the Republic against the Nihil."
232 BBY: A BEACON OF HOPE
"With the Great Disaster behind them, the Republic and Jedi refocus on the opening of the Starlight Beacon. This towering space station located in the Outer Rim is one of Chancellor Lina Soh’s Great Works, meant to provide a symbol of hope in a dark corner of the galaxy. This shining example of Republic unity and progress serves as a vital base for the ongoing struggles with the Nihil and Drengir."
"One of Chancellor Lina Soh’s Great Works, the Starlight Beacon, begins operation after a dedication ceremony attended by Republic dignitaries and prominent members of the Jedi Order. The station is to be just one of many beacons, serving to connect, inspire, and serve the Republic’s growth in the Galactic Frontier. The Jedi maintain a permanent presence on the station under the leadership of Marshal Kriss and the watchful eye of the exacting Jedi Master Estala Maru."
"Hunting the Nihil - Though it lacks a formal military, the Republic forms a special task force to hunt the Nihil, with Joss and Pikka Adren among the first volunteers."
"The Jedi broker the Ayelina-Ludmere trade agreement."
232 BBY: GROWTH OF THE DRENGIR
"The carnivorous Drengir take root across wide swaths of the frontier. Their lust for living flesh, which they consider “meats,” leads them to attack hundreds of worlds. Defenseless settlers and the Jedi alike struggle to repel these horrifying plantlike creatures."
231 BBY: THE REPUBLIC FAIR
"Chancellor Lina Soh’s next Great Work is a magnificent fair on Valo. Meant to celebrate the Republic and its many achievements, the event turns into a tragedy. The Nihil mount a merciless raid on the fairgoers, destroy the event, and nearly kill the chancellor. The Jedi defenders mount a valiant defense but are outnumbered."
231 BBY: FIGHT FOR THE FRONTIER
"The Jedi march across the frontier as they seek justice for the attack on the Valo fair. With the Drengir threat seemingly settled, they turn their attention to the scattered Nihil forces. The Jedi believe that they are gaining the upper hand, but are unaware of who leads the raiders and their ultimate goal. The Nihil Tempest Runners bear the brunt of the assault while the Eye of the Nihil, Marchion Ro, prepares a new weapon to fight the Jedi."
"The Republic-Togruta Alliance is formed."
230 BBY: FALL OF STARLIGHT
"The Nameless wreak havoc among the Jedi, who fight valiantly in Starlight’s final moments. Master Estala Maru sacrifices his own life to delay the top half of the station from burning up in Eiram’s atmosphere. Below, Master Stellan Gios stays behind to ensure the lower portion will not strike a populated city on the planet’s surface."
"The Jedi recall their members to safety on Coruscant."
"The Republic readies a Defense Coalition fleet to strike at Nihil space. The Jedi, concerned that they cannot yet combat the Nameless, remain on Coruscant."

SOURCES & NOTES:
Star Wars Timelines by Kristin Baver, Jason Fry, Cole Horton, Amy Richau, and Clayton Sandell is the primary source for much of this, anything in quotation marks is sourced from here unless otherwise noted. This timeline is only quoting a small minority of what's available in the book, so it's recommended that you check it out for yourselves!
I have done my best to put everything in order even within the specific years, noting where I'm not 100% sure of the sequence of events.
If a "c.[YEAR]" is included, the spot is estimated, not hard fact, but in general it's a pretty trustworthy placement! Except for birthdays--they're not placed directly on the timeline, so I just kind of threw them in at the end most times.
Observation: Holy crap, the Clone Wars was NUTS.

Clone Wars AU where instead of chips, the clones are actually raised to be undercover as loyal soldiers knowing they'd betray the jedi ("traitors") on the order, and are all ready to complete their mission—
But uh. The jedi are really nice?? And kinda dumb??? And they reaaaally don't know how they survived this long when they are just so dumb and trusting and oh no they're attached.
There are many unfortunate realizations. The clones form a support group to rant about their stupid jetii because "—guys you don't understand he loses his lightsaber every two seconds and then smiles at me when I give it back and has decided since I have it so much I should know how to use it and this week he ordered chocolate for everyone what do I do—"
Bly be sitting in the corner, rocking because "Oh no she's hot"
Wolffe is sitting there holding in manly tears because Plo is a buir but he's a traitor but Plo is such a buir can he be my buir
Rex is like "listen I know Skywalker is supposed to be the one non-traitor of the bunch but like. He's crazy???? And the Commander is also crazy???? How am I supposed to keep up with them???? How much worse would they be without Kenobi????????? And I think Skywalker might actually murder us all if anyone touches the commander or Kenobi???????????"
And meanwhile Fox is all "I keep pulling this one weird jedi out of the dumpster and I can't get rid of him. How do I get rid of him, he's growing on me like mold and I hate it."
Meanwhile I cant decide if the Jedi know that somethings up with the clones and are keeping them close or if they just are genuinely like "man those guys are so great ❤️❤️❤️ I'd trust my life with them ❤️❤️❤️ if they don't tell me smth they def have a good reason ❤️❤️❤️"

I think I'm able to perhaps put a few words to why I really dislike that the Ahsoka show had her choose to come to the conclusion that Anakin was GOOD, that he was a good person and good teacher to her, rather than having her refuse to forgive him and just having to let go of him entirely.
Ahsoka is a character who has been, for her ENTIRE RUN on Star Wars, defined by Anakin and her relationship to him. She's never been able to escape that. She was created as an explanation for why Anakin "matured" over the three year gap between AOTC and ROTS, but her lack of existence in the films means she can have no greater impact on Anakin than that. She is wholly irrelevant to his character but she does not EXIST without him. In Rebels, she is only in one season where all of her appearances are fixated on her discovery of Anakin's betrayal and how that impacts her, leading up to their final confrontation where she appears to die fighting him. She comes back only so her relationship with Anakin can be used to help Ezra let go of Kanan. In TOTJ, she has an entire episode dedicated to explaining that the only reason she survived Order 66 was because of some kind of special training Anakin gave her that made her stronger, better, faster than any other Jedi. In The Mandalorian, her appearance was full of subtext about her trauma regarding Anakin and the way she reacts to other Jedi as a result of that. In The Book of Boba Fett appearance, that subtext is still there, primarily in her conversation with Luke where she even tells him how much he reminds her of Anakin. Which leaves us with the Ahsoka show itself and how it REVOLVES around that relationship, from Sabine being turned into Anakin 2.0 to everything in episode 5 to Ahsoka claiming she'll support Sabine in everything because this is what Anakin did for her to Anakin literally showing up in ghost form to Thrawn predicting everything Ahsoka will do because he has some familiarity with Anakin.
Ahsoka CANNOT escape this relationship, she cannot move out from this particular shadow and become her own person because her character seems to ONLY EXIST to be "Anakin's student." She can almost literally not stand on her own at this point. If her story doesn't revolve around Anakin in some way, it doesn't seem to really exist (please keep in mind here that I am mostly looking at HIGH CANON appearances for this because that's what I am familiar with; I'm sure that some comics have probably managed to move away from her relationship to Anakin a little bit sometimes but I haven't read any of them so they're not being counted in this analysis, especially since I don't think they're really impacting her higher canon characterization anyway).
It's even just visible in how other characters perceive her. She is constantly being COMPARED to Anakin, we keep hearing how like Anakin she is. The only time I can think of that she is compared to anyone OTHER than Anakin is when Trace and Rafa tell her that she acts like a Jedi even if she isn't currently calling herself one (bless their SOULS for this moment, they deserved so much better than the hate they got and one single appearance on fucking TBB). We never hear anyone say she reminds them of Obi-Wan, or Yoda, or Plo Koon. It's ALWAYS Anakin even though she's known Yoda and Plo Koon longer and she seems to spend almost as much time with Obi-Wan as she does Anakin.
By having Ahsoka decide to deal with her feelings about Anakin by just... setting aside all the bad shit he did and focusing ONLY on the good moments that he had and letting that define him, it makes it nearly impossible to separate her from him. If he's good, then it's a GOOD thing to compare her to him. If he's good, then his influence on her HAS to have been a good one. For me, it ruins ANY nuance that could have come from going the opposite direction and recognizing that while he had some good moments, he was in fact an overall bad person who was a terrible teacher to her. He betrayed her, he tried to kill her (and only failed because she was saved by someone else), he abandoned her. I don't care WHAT he did before this, this automatically makes him a BAD TEACHER.
And recognizing that Anakin was a bad teacher would force Ahsoka to look at HERSELF more critically, too, to recognize the places where she has made the same mistakes perhaps, where she's started leading herself down a similar path to his, and then choosing to NOT BE LIKE HIM. Anakin should be (like he is with Luke) the personification of her own darkness. Palpatine represented Anakin's greatest demons and personifications, Anakin can represent something similar for Ahsoka. He is an indisputable part of her now, but she doesn't HAVE to become him, she doesn't have to let that CONTROL her. And by making that choice, she frees herself from being defined by him for the rest of her life.
But now, the narrative has bound Ahsoka to Anakin forever. She'll never be anything more than Anakin's student because this has become what defines her as a person and a character. And it just... it sucks. Ahsoka deserved better than that.

some sketches about my Plo alive AU
Tumblr media
Pencil tool is interesting.
I have my headcanon that Wolffe is not a great negotiator, and when he is struggling with aggressive people, Plo appears and says "we can still negotiate, but it just they became for aggressive" and handles it.
Star wars rations are looking so terrible to eat. It's sad, because many Clones and even some civilians had to eat them for whole life. Give them a nice meal and treat.
Plo would never understand my diseased mind that 'loves Wolffe so much, wants to make him hurt, suffer, and get comfort and care'.
Comet once was Commander because he rarely had sanity in the Wolfpack.

Plo Koon is the first Jetti to learn about the clone cuddle piles.
It's not too long after Malevolence, and the men who had survived with him were still a bit wary of being attacked at any moment. Wolffe in particular is avoiding most smaller craft, constantly placing himself as close to the door when he's on the bridge as humanly possible.
It breaks Plo's heart to see this, and one night he goes to check in on Wolffe on his off time. The officers quarters are empty, and Plo is confused but figures Wolffe might be down in the barracks.
The beds that should be spaced apart have had their mattresses stripped, all stacked in an organized pile in the furthest corner of the room, making it impossible to be snuck up on. Plo can see Wolffe near the middle of the pile of sleeping clones, Sinker being used to prop the sleeping officer up, while Boost is snoring away against Wolffe's side, his legs wrapped around the other as if anchoring him. Countless other 104th soldiers are sleeping or quietly chatting around the trio, and Plo is eventually noticed by a shiny who freezes, his gasp startling the others to attention.
"Rest easy little one, I'm just curious." Plo keeps his voice low, and the shiny slowly resumes his task of braiding another clones hair, dozens of hazel eyes watching the Jetti come closer to investigate. "Do you always rest this way?"
"When we can sir." One speaks up, a pilot Plo recognizes, looking a little embarrassed. "We can fix everything back the way it's supposed to be."
"Whatever for?" The master kneels down a few feet from the pile, able to feel a constant thrumming of peace and content from the men. "You are at peace like this."
"It helps, with everything." A splicer speaks up, the man half buried under a sleeping brother. "You can join us, if you'd like?"
Plo is surprised by the offer, and watches as various clones glance at each other in a language he does not understand.
"Perhaps another time, little one." Plo adjusts his position to take up his meditation pose. "I'll meditate for now."
The Force is singing with content when Plo opens himself up to it, and for the first time, he thinks of the men as his children, not just his soldiers.

The Best News of Last Week - March 13, 2023
🐝 - Did you hear about the honeybee vaccine? It's creating quite the buzz! But seriously, it's a major breakthrough in the fight against American foulbrood and could save billions of bees.
1. Transgender health care is now protected in Minnesota
Tumblr media
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz signed an executive order protecting and supporting access to gender-affirming health care for LGBTQ people in the state, amidst Republican-backed efforts across the country to limit transgender health care. The order upholds the essential values of One Minnesota where all people, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community, are safe, celebrated, and able to live lives full of dignity and joy.
Numerous medical organizations have said that access to gender-affirming care is essential to the health and wellness of gender diverse people, while states like Tennessee, Arizona, Utah, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, South Dakota, and Florida have passed policies or laws restricting transgender health care.
2. First vaccine for honeybees could save billions
Tumblr media
The US government has approved the world's first honeybee vaccine to fight against American foulbrood, a bacterial disease that destroys bee colonies vital for crop pollination.
Developed by biotech company Dalan Animal Health, the vaccine integrates some of the foulbrood bacteria into royal jelly, which is then fed to the queen by the worker bees, resulting in the growing bee larvae developing immunity to foulbrood. The vaccine aims to limit the damage caused by the infectious disease, for which there is currently no cure, and promote the development of vaccines for other diseases affecting bees.
3. Teens rescued after days stranded in California snowstorm: "We were already convinced we were going to die"
Tumblr media
The recent snowstorms in California have resulted in dangerous conditions for hikers and residents in mountain communities. Two teenage hikers were rescued by the San Bernardino County sheriff's department after getting lost in the mountains for 10 days.
The boys were well-prepared for the hike but were not prepared for the massive amounts of snow that followed. They were lucky to survive, suffering from hypothermia and having to huddle together for three nights to stay warm.
Yosemite National Park has had to be closed indefinitely due to the excessive snowfall.
4. La Niña, which worsens Atlantic hurricanes and Western droughts, is gone
Tumblr media
The La Nina weather phenomenon, which increases Atlantic hurricane activity and worsens western drought, has ended after three years, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. That's usually good news for the United States and other parts of the world, including drought-stricken northeast Africa, scientists said.
The globe is now in what's considered a "neutral" condition.
5. Where there's gender equality, people tend to live longer
Tumblr media
Both women and men are likely to live longer when a country makes strides towards gender equality, according to a new global study that authors believe to be the first of its kind.
The study was published in the journal PLOS Global Public Health this week. It adds to a growing body of research showing that advances in women's rights benefit everyone. "Globally, greater gender equality is associated with longer [life expectancy] for both women and men and a widening of the gender gap in [life expectancy]," they conclude.
6. New data shows 1 in 7 cars sold globally is an EV, and combustion engine car sales have decreased by 25% since 2017
Tumblr media
Electric vehicles are the key technology to decarbonise road transport, a sector that accounts for 16% of global emissions. Compared with 2020, sales nearly doubled to 6.6 million (a sales share of nearly 9%), bringing the total number of electric cars on the road to 16.5 million.
Sales were highest in China, where they tripled relative to 2020 to 3.3 million after several years of relative stagnation, and in Europe, where they increased by two-thirds year-on-year to 2.3 million. Together, China and Europe accounted for more than 85% of global electric car sales in 2021

Looking at “Rising Malevolence” and “Mercy Mission” together, you can see how much Wolffe and Sinker evolve over the course of four seasons. What’s fascinating to me is that their character arcs move in opposite directions.
"Rising Malevolence" brings them face-to-face with death for the first time; they couldn’t be in a worse situation. Of the four survivors, Wolffe is the most vulnerable and the least useful. Nevertheless, he stands fast. His strong spirit enables him to put forth his best conduct: he’s steady, trusting, even good-humored. Sinker is not. His spirit has been depressed for a long time already, so he can’t help succumbing to negativity in the heat of the moment.
The massacre roots a new fear in both of them: fear of loss. It’s their responsibility to keep their men alive, and yet they both failed. What’s to stop it from happening again? They have no control over who survives and who doesn’t, when and where and how their troopers will die, whether it’ll be a few casualties or an entire battalion.
Amidst this fear, both of them are confronted by Plo Koon. A general who vows to share that responsibility with them. Who, through actions and not just words, commits to the kind of leadership that not only values their men’s survival but also their wellbeing.
This is the crossroads where their arcs diverge.
Sinker, against all his instincts, vices, and traumas, decides to trust General Plo. It doesn’t come easily, or all at once, but, as the Jedi continues to make good on his promise, he learns to ease up. Gradually, his spirit heals and grows stronger. By “Mercy Mission,” he’s noticeably more lighthearted, invested, and confident: a man transformed for the better.
Wolffe, however, can’t let go of his fear. It’s proportionally greater than Sinker’s; he has lost, and stands to lose, much more. He does trust General Plo, deeply, but he also harbors the disturbing knowledge that the Jedi isn’t invincible. For all his power, General Plo can still die—and that can’t happen. The 104th would go adrift without him, so he must be protected at all costs. Wolffe takes up this extra burden in secret. He becomes vigilant, overprotective, strained, insular. He won't acknowledge it, but his spirit is staggering under the weight. “Mercy Mission” shows us a glimpse of this transformation: a man who’s bone-weary and so preoccupied with the status of his absent comrades that he has no patience or sympathy for the Aleena.
Maybe it was never in the cards for him, to be healthy and flourishing and secure. Maybe his path would've always led down a darker road than Sinker's despite experiencing the same profound kindness. It's such a shame, for if any clone needed a little hope, it's him. I'm halfway through his story now, the beginning of the end, and he's about to enter the darkest valley of his life.

what do you like about Ahsoka(genuine question)
I tend to gravitate towards female characters that have something very wrong with them, usually some violent adjacent trauma and maybe something a little existentially Other. Examples from past fandoms include Leah of Hel, Anevka Sturmvoraus, Nico Robin, and Uzumaki Karin.
Ahsoka is notable because she's the first that I think has had such struggle with remaining a good person and managed it. Leah has never quite fit into a real framework of good and evil, because she's a queen of death. Anevka was kind of a dick right up to her death. Robin got removed from her bad situation and given a truly reliable support network for the first time in twenty years, and Karin was an asshole until the violence was over for long enough that she was allowed to mellow out, and even then she's still working for a retired supervillain.
Ahsoka was good. She was put into a situation that drove uncountable numbers to madness and cruelty, and she stayed good. She struggled, she lost most of her support network, she was not given a way out, and she stayed good. As a teenager in war, as a young woman surviving a genocide, as a black ops agent running missions solo more often than not and without having heard from her only known remaining friend in fifteen years, she stayed good.
Fucked up. Snappish and standoffish to protect herself. Secretive. But good. She tries to be kind, even when she's hurting, tries to be everything she was taught to be about how to be a good person, a good Jedi, by all the role models she had growing up, by Plo, and Obi-Wan, and Tera Sinube, and yes even Anakin, messy as he was.
I've made a post before about how I like characters better when they have to struggle to find and remain good, rather than just being it intrinsically. Ahsoka started good, yes, you could argue that she is 'intrinsically' good, but everything around her was meant to push her to darkness, and everything that tried to do that failed.
I like a fucked up gal, but there's something incredibly powerful that hits me about a character that is given every reason to become cruel, to become a monster, and... doesn't.
Refuses to bend and break and become what they hate.
Bitchy, sure. Cold, sometimes. Traumatized and untreated, definitely.
But still good. Still trying to do good.
Fuck, who can't love a character like that?
(This also applies to Obi-Wan in a lot of ways. Lots of venn diagram overlap in reasons to love them.)
