Starts to really admire you after that and his comments aren’t as snarky when he sees you next. It’s more like little jabs and teases because that’s how he shows his affection, but they were no longer the hardcore roasts he’d dish out before. You probably stop flaming his ass too because let’s be real here; you’ve both obviously been attracted to each other from the start you just didn’t want to admit it.

Like cmon, he didn’t wait for you at the gates every single time he knew you were visiting just to insult you first. No. He came there to see your cute ass first!!Same goes for you, like you didn’t take all the missions to the Sand for nothing. You came there to see your fav hot headed puppet master.

He’ll ask you out a few months later, when you end up at the Sand again. Probably takes you to dinner before going back to his place. I 100% see him showing you his puppets and this time you’ll actually show your interest and not just tease him lol. Probably ends up making out with you on his workbench. Ok that’s all.

Naruto

You meet eachother for the first time at Ichirakus. Second to Naruto, you actually bring in the most cash for the place. So it’s surprising you two had never met each other before.

Until now of course. He’s just gotten back from a long mission and he’s dying for some ramen. He strolls right in and orders a miso pork ramen, but the old man tells him there’s no more pork left.

Probably flips his shit like who tf ate it all?? Then the old man points at you. You’re sitting there chowing down you’re literal 15th bowl, the giant stack of empty bowls next to you proving it. You watch the blondie charge right at you while you eat the last miso pork bowl of ramen for the day.

You put the bowl down and wipe your face just as he stops right infront of you, very close to your face. You can see the anger in his eyes, but you are not giving up. Also, the guy looks sorta comical so you basically laugh in his face which gets him more worked up.

“What are you laughing about? You just ate all of old mans pork for the day!! That last bowl is mine, believe it!” Once again you laugh in his face because you just can’t help yourself. Probably end up fist fighting eachother on the spot. Neither of you win because one of you ends up smashing into the bowl, sending it flying right at the old man. He kicks you both out, right after you pay your tab of course.

This arises a competition of who will eat all the miso pork ramen first, it goes on for a good few months. Ichirakus is swimming in your money now. Until one day, when you two arrive at Ichirakus at the same time. You basically have a show down. Unfortunately both your wallets are cleaned out and you can’t even pay off your bills anymore so you’re now indebted to the ramen place.

Narutos mission money won’t even cut it anymore and you can’t pay your debt off either. So you both have to get a job doing Ichirakus dishes until you can pay your debt off.

At first you two wanna strangle each other everytime youre in each others line of sight. But slowly — veryyyy slowly, you start to bond over your love for ramen. Like you can probably sniff the bowls before you clean them and tell instantly what ramen was eaten out of it.

You discover you both have the same favourite instant ramen, the same favourite Ichirakus order, etc... Then before you know it you actually start dating. Nobody knows how it happened because you were rivals for a good couple of months, but now all the sudden your holding hands while and eating ramen together peacefully. Mind blown.

Hidan

You’re a brand new Akatsuki member and you’re cute. Really cute. Not only was Deidara drooling over you too, Kakuzu just asked to file your taxes. Do you even do taxes? You’re a rouge ninja. Anyways, Hidan is so sure that Jashin would love to have you.

You two start taking to eachother and actually getting along pretty well, until he mentions Jashin. You shut him down so quickly after that. Like you’re not interested in his fake God, no matter how cute he is.

From then on he tries to ignore you or is just super petty towards you all the time. Like you just got back from a failed mission with your Akatsuki partner and he’s at the hideout mocking you like “if you prayed to Jashin with me this wouldn’t have happened.”

Literally so fucking petty.

Anytime you suggest an idea to the Akatsuki he immediately tears it down. It doesn’t really matter when he does though because nobody really listens to Hidan anyways, it’s just annoying.

You two get put on a mission together one day because Kakuzu has some important money buisness to take care of. Hidans so pissy about it, “oh come on! Out of everybody you picked y/n? She doesn’t even respect my religion, how are we supposed to work together!?” Kakuzu just looks at him and is like “Hidan, I don’t care about Jashin either.”

Butthurt the whole journey. If you guys get bombarded or run into trouble he probably doesn’t even bother backing you up. If anything he tries to feed you to them LMFAOOO. Such a jerk.

Then, once he thinks that all the bad guys are gone he turns to you all confidently because you got your ass whooped and he’s like “see, I bet if you prayed to Jashin you wouldn’t be injured this bad-“

An enemy just stabbed him right through the chest and he watches the look of shock on your face. That’s when he gets an idea. He falls on the floor super fucking dramatically and you have to take the last guy down for him.

Then you kneel next to him and cradle his body because yes he was such a petty bitch but he actually started to grow on you. So you cry and in this distressed moment you probably even attempted to pray to Jashin because you’re desperate as fuck.

This bitch really makes his eyes flutter open and is like; “y/n?” Really fucking plays off that he was unconscious, “Jashin... Jashin saved me.”

Your ass just got clowned but I mean you believe it because like he just got stabbed right through the heart. Even immortal people should die if they were stabbed in the heart, right? It seemed like it was the case.

So yah he basically just emotionally manipulated you into being semi interested in his religion.

Then he stops being petty with you and probably asks you to sleep with him as an offering to Jashin. “It’s only fitting! He just saved my life afterall.”

The Rise of Skywalker Review

Well, I actually went to see it! I wasn’t sure that I would, but I’m honestly glad, because now i’ve got thoughts.

The first twenty minutes or so seemed really slapdash and disjointed, like they wanted to set up things for later but didn’t want to take the time to set them up well. Everything was really rushed and shallow for that period.

But! This movie had a lot of poe-rey-finn interactions which I enjoyed deeply. Rey and Poe sniping at each other, Finn and Rey being adorably close and caring, Finn and Poe being adorably close and caring. They feel like they’ve actually spent time together! Excellent.

Leia’s scenes felt a little weird, like they were shoehorned in, but i still miss her so I’m kinda glad for her presence anyway. Having her train Rey, pick up where Luke left off and push her to the finish line, makes me delighted. Yes, Leia is force sensitive!! She trained with her brother!! She knows how to pass on what she learned!!! She built a lightsaber!!!!!! excellent. (sidenote her lightsaber was sick. i loved it. i want one)

I also liked how we got to see some diverse planets and terrain. did they do their best on that front? no. would have loved to see some more weird-ass alien planets, or even weird-ass terrain that actually exists in the real world, but they’re deathly afraid of being like the prequels, soooo.

The whole thing with the “sith dagger” and C-3P0′s memory was a shit storyline. Here’s a magic item that will do everything we need! Give you the location of your navigator thing!! Magically fit against the skyline of the wreck of the deathstar, even though it’s an ancient artifact and the deathstar is constantly battered by incredibly powerful waves on an alien planet! ugh. dumb.

If that droid from the old shipwreck was gonna have that knwoeldge the whole time,,,,,,, why not just let Rey befriend the droid,,,,,,,,instead of doing a “psych! gotcha!” with C-3P0′s memory.

JJ Abrams being afraid to give real consequences to the new trio’s actions was shit. Let them kill Chewie! Let them essentially kill C-3P0! Or leave it out of the equation entirely!!! These fake-outs cheapen emotional responses and motivations of the heroes of our story.

and hey, speaking of cheapening shit, why the ever-loving FUCK did they bring Palpatine back. why. I hate that. I hated that SO MUCH IT WAS SO DUMB. SO. DUMB. so darth vader redeemed and sacrificed himself over nothing, huh?? Anakin Skywalker, dumb bitch to the end, couldn’t even die right, because palpatine was fucking alive the whole time. fuccking hell. any hey, guess what?? Jedi can force-heal people, too! ha ha ha hahahahaha ha h h a stupid anakin for believing palpatine had unique force powers and turning to the dark side, when really, it was a light-side power all along!!! (kill me)

(side note: healing being a power of the light and not the dark is thematically better, but uh. see petty retconning below)

Making Rey his granddaughter is inarguably worse than having her be a true nobody, which was my number one pick. I might even have been fine with it if she discovered it on her own!! But noooo, we need to have Kylo Ren and Luke tell her who she is. Oh yeah, they knew who she was the whole time, lol! Isn’t that cute, stupid women having to be told who they are and what their legacy is.

Which also makes her previous conversation with Kylo in TLJ cheap too! Look, I get it, we all hated TLJ, and Rian Johnson’s choices. But...having Kylo tell Rey who she is twice, in two separate movies, and tell her two separate things each time, and have it be played straight both times, is just. so. dumb. petty retconning of other people’s work is kind of disgusting.

That being said, in this movie I didn’t feel like Rey’s storyline was about anyone but her. I mean, palpatine elements for sure, but except for being told whose granddaughter she was, she was basically in control of her own destiny. I liked that a lot.

Rey’s fight with Kylo on the wreck of the death star? *chef’s kiss*. Amazing. Incredible. Lightsaber duels have gotten so much better and I love them. somewhere inside me my five-year old self is screaming for joy and picking up her toy lighsabers. Ridley and Driver have, unfortunately, very good chemistry in their scenes together, and the tension while they fought was so good.

Poe as a former drug dealer makes me tired. Poe Dameron, who idolizes Leia and had rebellion pilots for parents, was a drug dealer?? You kidding me?? ugh.

Also, if i’m being petty, I hated the way force ghosts could interact with reality.

Lando Calrissian!! Lando I love you. I love you so much. The idea of all those people coming to the Resistance’s aid is pretty cool tbh, and I liked it. I liked Lando playing ambassador and politician for the resistance.

I absolutely hated the ““planet-killing-cannon”“ palpatine’s fleet had. These fucking, fan-pandering morons just cannot let the idea of a planet-killer go, can they? It’s not like a shit ton of ships, the biggest fleet in the galaxy, able to blockade hyper-space lanes and entire planets, would be a good enough threat, oh no. audiences aren’t smart enough to respond to something that complicated, so we need to make it SUPER OBVIOUS, just like in TLJ. “the death star but bigger/portable” is dumb.

Finn finding other defectors was so fucking cool, I love that for him. Also, like, Im pretty sure they were all force-sensitive like he is, which I think is amazing. Confirming Finn’s force sensitivity was the best decision they made in this movie, tbh.

The driving problem of this movie was, in my opinion, the exec and creative teams being unable to stick to their guns with Kylo Ren as the big villian. Twice, people reached out to him for redemption: his father in TFA, and rey in TLJ. Twice, he rejected that offer, and ascended to Supreme Leader.

But instead of letting him do that, they instead turned him back to the light for little to no discernible reason. What, his mother dying finally pushed him over the edge?? You kidding me???? He LITERALLY murdered his father in cold blood. i call bullshit.

And because they couldn’t let kylo be the main villian, they also had to bring back palpatine. Look man, Adam Driver abso-fuckin-lutely has the chops to be a big bad. He’s really good at his job, actually, and I believe he could carry the weight of being the scary leader and face of the dark side. But no, y’all are chicken.

I mean, even though I hated him turning back, driver-as-ben-solo was fucking lit. He was so good for those, what two minutes?? The tension during his rush to Rey??? Him fucking with the KNights of Ren?? His switcheroo with Rey, the way he nods and bows a little when the Knights all step back, knowing they’re about to get their asses kicked?? Oh my god! It was so fun to watch. You could tell, even from that much, he’s a cocky little shit, and would have been so fun to watch for three movies instead of three minutes.

Their kiss at the end when he dies?? boo, hiss, no thank you. Not a fan. I’ll concede their chemistry as actors, but that was not romantic chemistry between their characters. nuh-uh no way no how. gross.

Overall, like a 5/10. Wildly inconsistent. I really liked some parts, and enjoyed other parts out of context, and really hated other parts.

A/N: Hey anon, i love this request, I love writing for hp, it reminds me of when i was a tween. I wanted to write the reader as a Malfoy, but whether or not she is adopted is up to you (the reader). ps ive rewritten this twice and mobile has collapse, also twice, losing both pieces of progress, im yelling.

You clutched your notebook close to your chest, watching puffs of breath cloud in front of you. From across the lake, Hogwarts rose up amidst the snowy trees, full of elegance and solitude. You scribbled more notes into the leather bound journal, about school, your classmates, your brother, Draco, and the festivities that were consuming Hogwarts, surrounding the Yule ball.

The cold bit your nose savagely. You leaned against a fallen log, legs frozen. In front of you, the lake before you was solid ice, the giant squid no doubt swimming far below the surface, perhaps closer to the Slytherin common room’s window. You promised yourself you would check later, after finding Draco and pestering him about Pansy’s obnoxious Yule Ball proposal to him that unfolded in the Great Hall that morning.

You cringed and laughed at the memory. The way Pansy assumed he would say yes, and how red your brother’s face had been. Neither you nor Blaise would let him live that down.

“What are you doing out here?” A high voice called to you.

Looking up from your journal, you saw Hermione stood there, braced against the cold wind. Despite the weather, warmth flickered in your chest. You always felt warmer when she was around you. Whether or not when she sat next to you in class, or talked to you, or laughed. She felt like pure magic.

You closed it, standing up straighter. “Nothing, just getting some peace of mind. I have a break, I wanted to get away from Pansy and Draco for a bit.”

She wandered over to you, grinning from cheek to cheek. “I heard all about that from Ron, it was quite a scene i hear.”

“You should have seen it Hermione,” you laughed. "It was almost as bad as the ferret incident last week."

Hermione giggled, caught between amusement and the fact that student transfiguration was definitely illegal.

A strange giddiness swept through you when you heard her laugh.

"If you don't mind me saying, y/n. He deserved it." she said.

"No," you responded. "I agree, he was being awful."

Hermione gave you a sidelong glance.

There was history between the two of you. In first year, you met on the train. You were refreshed by her lack of knowledge to the Malfoy name. After being sorted into Slytherin, you didn't see her much, outside of shared classes. There were moments in class, where a universal force controlled the teacher, and you were paired for assignments.

Sometimes, you would sit next to her in the library, completely silent, and just work next to each other in solidarity. You tried to talk to her as much as possible, but Draco watched you like a hawk.

"You can't be around her, y/n," he sounded exasperated. "She's not a pureblood."

“I just don’t understand,” you had said. “This is getting ridiculous.”

He had placed a hand on your shoulder. “I’m telling you this because I’m your brother, and our parents would never let you leave the house again.”

You ignored him, naturally.

"Has anyone asked you to the ball?" Hermione asked out of the blue.

"No," you responded. "I probably won't go with anyone. What about you?"

"There's been... an offer."

You raised your eyebrows. "Really? Pray tell, who?"

Hermione swallowed uneasily. “Victor. Victor Krum.”

A stone sunk to the bottom of your stomach. “Are you going to say yes?”

“Maybe,” she seemed apprehensive. “I wanted to see if someone I knew better would ask me. No one has.” She looked at you again, a glimmer of suggestion and hope in her eyes.

You clenched your teeth, but said nothing.

Hermione rushed past the silence. “What about you? any boys lining up?”

You laughed nervously. “No. No boys. A couple of girls actually.”

“Really?” She asked, a grin still at the edge of her lips. That was a good sign. “Anyone I know?”

“Uh, Padma, Parvarti’s sister. She and I might go together,” you played with your fingers. Your nerve began to build itself. “But, it’s not her I’m really interested in, Hermione, I want to go with yo-”

“Well, well, well, what do we have here?” a shrill, mocking voice broke your reverie.

From the clearing of trees, Pansy Parkinson stepped out, one hand on her hip, the other clutching the hand of a sullen-looking Draco. Her nose pointed up to the heavens, accentuating the triumphant appearance she wore. From behind her, Crab and Goyle materialized, armed crossed and dim looking. Draco seemed bored, but you could tell he was feigning anxiety.

“Oh boy,” You muttered under breath. “Here’s trouble.”

From the corner of your eye, you saw Hermione’s back straighten harshly.

“Y/n,” Pansy sauntered over. “Didn’t Draco tell you to not to hang around mudblood scum?” Her voice was unbelievably annoying.

“Come on,” you whispered to Hermione, gently taking her arm. She took your hand. “Let’s just get out of here.”

Pansy let out a cold laugh. “Hmm, that’s just like you, y/n! running at the first sight of danger. It’s a wonder that you’re even related to a family like Draco’s. I can already tell what type of witch you’re going to be.” she pointed a finger at you, poking your chest with narrowed eyes. “A disgusting, blood-traitor.”

You sighed and rolled your eyes, not willing to pick a fight right now. There were days you wanted to snap back at Pansy, but there was no point in stoking the flames. It would just rile her up more.

Draco seemed uncomfortable, hands in his pockets, unable to meet your eyes. He said nothing.

“And you,” Pansy turned to Hermione. “Miss perfect prissy Mudblood. I’ve had enough of your know-it-all attitude. Acting like you’re a real witch.”

Anger thrashed in your stomach, an uncontrollable beast that clawed up your throat like bile. All sense of pacifism was tossed out the window the moment you saw Hermione’s jaw clench tears well in her eyes. “That’s enough, Pansy.”

She let out an incredulous laugh. “Finally! the recluse speaks!” That evil glint still sparkled in her eye. “What is it, blood traitor?”

“Yeah, you finally got me talking. Congrats,” You sneered a little before continuing. “While I don’t give a shit about what you think of me, I will not tolerate you belittling my friends.” You stepped forward, up into her space. “Call me a blood traitor all you want! You don’t have the capacity or ability to make me care! But if you call her any names, bring up blood or class, or even look at Hermione ever again, I will curse you into the next plain of existence. Okay?”

There was silence. Pansy blinked twice while Draco tried not to smile at you. Something between pride and concern flickered on his face. Crab and Goyle looked at each other, unsure what to do. You could feel Hermione;s eyes on you.

At last, Pansy stalked away, and you could practically see the smoke billowing from her ears. Crab and Goyle bumbled after her. Draco left as well, but not before grinning at you.

You sagged against the fallen log, looking to Hermione, who was all alight with a warm smile. “Thank you, y/n.”

You shook your head. “It’s alright, Hermione. I’m just sick of her and all the politics. I don;t want to be told who I can talk to, or who I can be with. I think that was the most I’ve said to Pansy for the past four years.”

Hermione slipped her hand into yours. “Before we were interrupted, you were saying something about who you wanted to go to the Yule Ball with...”

“Right,” you coughed. “Hermione, I was wondering, if you would possibly want to... um.. maybe if you would like to.. go with me to-”

Hermione stepped forward and pressed her lips to yours, tender and warm amid the snow and cold. Her hand reached up to smooth your hair away, as you pulled her flushed against you.

“I want to go with you, y/n,” she whispered.

You smiled, wrapping your arms around her and kissing her once more.

I got three quotes from three different insurence companies for a 2005 Honda 1100cc Sabre with under 2000 miles for $6300, all three with the same type of coverage. The family car that I have been driving wasn't in my name but I was still covered on the insurance until one day I hit a mailbox with the passenger side mirror. Hello, I am 21 and in college. I am in Northeast Illinois. I have not driven a car since I was 17. This is because I did miserably in driver education. I passed the classroom, so technically I passed driver ed, but the driving I failed miserably. My parents won't let me be behind the wheel of their cars again. I'm 20 years old, and because of the stupidly hiked insurance prices I got into riding motorbikes as a way of getting around. I now commute around 20,000 miles a year and the weather is really getting to me. I love riding but forced riding is different. Last year I was insured on a cbr 600 (2000 model) for 1200 a year TPFT, and this year part ex'd it for a Suzuki Bandit (2008) which is around 700 a year. Both bikes are 0 no claims as I've never kept a bike long enough to accumulate any. Now I understand cars are bigger and cause more damage etc, but bikes are quick, really quick, but how can insurers justify the stupidly high priced insurance for me on a car? Minimum 2500 a year!? My brother has a ford fiesta, an old old G red model, hes 2 years younger than me, and has always wanted to drive so he's spent ages saving and working towards getting a car. Come his insurace quote, and they're asking for 1200 a year TPFT. The EXACT same details, address etc, just with my name, age, and job (electronics technician) I'm looking at around 3000 a year, same company, no change. Its really getting to me now. I have to convictions, no speeding penalties, nothing. I've lead life so far getting involved in zero trouble, I do things by the book. So I'm beginning to wonder what's up.
