This just got personal. Yes, some of these images are older, but it doesnt matter. All of my art represents almost 30 years of hard work and dedication, of giving up other things in life and other career paths, of literal blood sweat and tears (especially with those paper cut illustrations). Of almost 200k in student debt. And now, each of those ai generates images represents a job I didn't get, a sale I didn't make, a bill I can't pay. Ai art isn't cute or fun. It is a crime with thousands of victims. I still have 5 days before the next hand injection and I'm gonna make the most of them, so here's a creature concept from a book I'm writing!

The Velvet Mantis, like many creatures on the planet I'm working on, relies on filtration of spores to survive. There are no predators, so her spiky talons are used to reach the higer spore fruits before they mature fully and disperse the spores in the air, so she can get them all for herself.

I put "camelia" as I plan to do more variations, and this one really reminded me of the flower

Real Artists’ Challenges in an AI-Powered Environment
