rhys admired every line of your face intently, as if he’d forget you any moment. his eyes followed along your face wonderously, not skipping a single pore.

underneath all of his cocky remarks through out the day, he was so soft and sweet to you at night. he savored every precious moment with you gently, laying in bed with you for hours on end just for the close proximity of it all.

you smiled at his gentleness, knowing proudly that you’re the only one who sees him like this.

“no, you are.” you quipped back, softly.

he rolled his violet eyes at you playfully, shaking his head in disbelief.

“no, darling. you’re so much prettier than me, my sweetheart.”

both voices were barely above whispers, only for the two of you to hear and take in. that was what made everything so intimate between you and rhysand. 

“liar.”

his jaw tensed.

“i am many things, my darling y/n. but i am no liar” he leaned in closer to you, kissing your nose gently as he mumbled another sentence before falling asleep in your arms. “not for you anyway.”

Finished my ACOWAR reread….

Cried. Could not stop crying.

Just one single fact of Rhys dying sticks out in my mind and it breaks me apart every time I think about it.

He saw what was happening with the Cauldron. He knew it would destroy their world. But he also knew putting it back together would destroy him. So when Feyre tried to get into his mind, he blocked her out. Because he KNEW she wouldn’t let it happen. She would of rather the world been destroyed than lose him. And my heart literally breaks at that.
