As promised, my commentary on Hunter.... to the people that like him, im sorry.
Spoiler warnings and the like, this is pretty negative aside from like maybe three sentences?? Feel free to leave you're own opinions on this too ofc !!! >:)
I dont like Hunter.
Actually, that's not entirely true, I liked him in TCW season 7, when he was that silly man who fucked droids around the place, took no shit, and loved his brothers. I like the Hunter who, not putting this nicely, had a personality.
This is not a dig on him as a character, it's a dig on how he was handled, writing wise
Listen, I totally get that the "rugged-man-adopts-a-star-child" trope is popular, and I do LOVE that trope, really I do- I just don't really think it was done that well here? It's bothered me since s1 of the Bad Batch, and I don't think it's going to get any better this season....
My only real problem with the writing inconsistency of Hunter being an older brother of three to "Omega this, Omega that" and while I agree childcare is SUPER difficult at the best of times, Hunter had four brothers who were equally capable of taking care of Omega, too. It just never sat right with me that taking care of her became his ENTIRE personality
Hes a soldier, who despite being completely out of his element, had a routine he strictly followed for the whole war. Yet he seemed to completely forget about that ?? Stressed or not stressed, that worn in routines and LIFELONG LESSONS should not have left his head as quickly as they seemed to.
The most obvious and frustrating example of the oversimplification of Hunter's character is with Crosshair. I cannot even BEGIN to describe my anger when it comes to Hunter and Crosshair. It mainly stems from the way he just FORGETS his brother is with the Empire. Conveniently never bringing it up unless someone else did it first.
As the oldest sibling and squad leader, I personally think Hunter should have been the one to bring him up. It should not have had to be specifically mentioned by another character for Hunter to discuss it. He loves his brothers, he loved Crosshair, broody or not, he should have brought it up AT LEAST once, imo.
We also see this complete disregard for Crosshair AGAIN in s3, now that we have seen Hunter looking for Omega and not ONCE mentioning Crosshair. Has he forgotten that they were originally going to find Crosshair??? That they never actually FOUND their brother ??????? Annoyed me so much, tbh.
What else annoyed me was the singular language he used during the whole episode. "She's part of our squad." "Hemlock took SOMEONE from us." He's completely and utterly disregarding the OTHER TWO SIBLINGS that the Empire took away from him !!!!! It genuinely frustrates me so much.
I know I'm DEFINITELY nit-picking here, but even when Hunter looked to Tech's goggles, it was in a "He should've been here to do this." Way, not a "He should be here." Way. That's his brother, who died looking for another that Hunter has forgotten.
Hunter's tunnel vision is probably one my least favourite things about the Bad Batch, if I dare even MENTION that- and I love this show. It means so much to me, but I just can't handle this particular part of it...
I have so SO much anger directed towards the treatment of Hunter by the writers. I want the Hunter who was devoted to his WHOLE family, who fought for ALL of them, who would have NEVER allowed Crosshair to leave in the first place. Give me that Hunter back.
(Saying this- I do not mind Hunter and Omega's father/daughter and brother/sister relationship !!! I do really enjoy it- in small amounts. The fact that Hunter became nearly an extention of Omega really just- threw me off his whole character, really)
I specifically pick to ignore this when I'm making anything. Hunter has been a sergeant of three idiots(named endearingly) for the entirety of the war. One child who wanders around should not have taken up 100% of Hunter's attention, ESPECIALLY when he was surrounded and supported. It just bothers me, idk
Anyway, thats my rant !!! Back to some positives soon, promise !! I just had to get this off my chest, it's been BOTHERING me.

Great wave chapter 2 spoilers// analysis cuz ahahahaha Adamai… when I get you…
Alr, rant because I’m the biggest Yugo & Adamai fan of all time. And I overanalyzed this chapter to death.
And how the way Adamai treats Yugo is one of the main reasons he’s distant from Amalia.
Tumblr media
This pattern of behavior isn’t new, in s4 he was quick to come to Yugo’s defense when Nora was chastising him. Using words like “we” and because both of them were still feeling the euphoria of their reconciliation came to each-others defense in a new unfamiliar environment. But after he sees how shady and “heroic” their family is he ops to leave, and does so without explaining himself (about the dofus) to Yugo or trys to convince him to come along. Something he definitely would have done in s1-2. (And this is because they have grown so far apart the bond they once had is distant, albeit still there)
This behavior is similar, and again appears here in their entire conversation.
Tumblr media
Yugo who was brooding and trying to be alone after his vision is greeted by Adamai, who IS genuinely worried about Yugo, since Yugo now carries the dofus of their people he and Adamai’s bond is “strengthened tenfold” allowing him to “almost hear his thoughts” and definitely feel his fear and dark feelings. And he immediately calls Yugo out when he tries to hide how upset he was (which tbh he likely does because of Adamai’s next reaction in a bit, meaning this is a common cycle)
Tumblr media
Eventually after some talk Yu breaks down and is honest that he isn’t okay. That his visions terrified him, and here Adamai isn’t dismissive right off the bat, he states that he could feel how bad it was because of their bond, and knew it must have been bad if it shook Yugo up this much
And Yugo tells him about the vision and how “I am the cause.” To which Adamai questions as he seems to think internally, and Yugo like in chapter one with Amalia doesn’t question anything, again he only says “It was real.”
Tumblr media
(I am roughly paraphrasing their dialogue so it’s not 100% accurate)
At this point Adamai scoffs at him to which Yugo who’s still upset by his vision flips out on him starting an argument. Asking if he “bores” Adamai
And Adamai tells him he needs to think with his head. He possesses the power of a god and can’t afford to think with emotions. Which is true, TOT said that Adamai was the logic to Yugo’s actions. He is the thought and the anchor, but while he isn’t wrong for saying this, the way he went about it is making things worse, but it also it makes sense why he did act this way towards Yugo.
Adamai is not someone who bases his feelings on emotions anymore.
He’s spent his entire childhood training and getting ready to meet Yugo and find their people. After the loss of Grougal he has spent his entire life trying to fill the void with an adult parental figure who holds power and wisdom that can help him achieve his goals the way he knows mortals can’t. Hence the “we needed someone with more guidance” like in s4 to Yugo. We don’t see exactly what happened to him from the OVA’s-s3. But we know it had a drastic change on him physically and especially mentally. And a big part of that is that he essentially became a vessel to their peoples dofus. In order to cope with his own trauma and feelings and taking on that responsibility of all this power he surprised any emotions or feelings that could cause him to act rash or get in the way of his main goals.
And when he did let his emotions take over because of his blind rage, he ended up hurting people he cared about which left him even more apprehensive to show any ever again. (Hence why he left his newly found family in s4) But in doing this to such an exstent the way he does, he never actually solves any personal problems of conflicts. Especially with his loved ones. He can’t rekindle his bond with Yugo or try to fix their relationship because he refuses to show any vulnerability. Which makes sense after he was left behind, betrayed and hurt so many times, and more so when he realized that he hurt others in his own pain. He doesn’t want to get hurt or hurt others again.
Tumblr media
And as he states, Yugo has power beyond any mortal comprehension. He now carries the weight and responsibility of their people, and their siblings dofus. Honestly just their peoples future in general. He holds power, power many people want to steal from him or rid him of. Adamai compares Yugo’s situation to how he had to handle the dofus. That he needs to swallow any emotions and think logically. Which he has always done more out of the two of them. Vulnerability is a weakness to him. And Adamai doesn’t want Yugo to get hurt or hurt others like he has in the past.
Tumblr media
He is cruel and harsh in his words. Telling Yugo he does “bore” him. And completely downplays his twin’s feelings because he sees them as being weak. But he DOES care about Yugo, in his eyes Yu will end up suffering more if he shows this vulnerability. It’s why he is mean and tells Yugo he can’t be acting like a child when he has all this responsibility and power in his hands. This isn’t the same when they were little kids, the stakes for them and their people are much hire now.
But to Yugo, who’s tried to fix their relationship countless times, is naturally upset at this. He feels unheard, that’s he’s being over dramatic and that his feelings don’t matter. That he isn’t allowed to be upset at his own trauma. Which is something i think paralells Goddess Eliatrope. How people dismiss her feelings and say she’s overreacting. That she needs to “get over herself” because she is a great goddess with all this power. Etc. something I hope we see more with Yugo aswell.
Being a king already isolates him enough, being a demigod with all this power does so even more. To Yugo, Adamai is the only one he can turn too when he’s upset. It’s why he was so desperate to find him in s3. Over growing old and being immortal. The problems that mortals can’t comprehend. (Something that definitely upsets him because the more power and godhood he gains the more distance he has between himself and his loved ones.) But when he opens up to Adamai about his fears and issues he is shut down or ignored. And that’s why he won’t open up to Amalia. If Ad dismisses and scoffs at his feelings then why should he try to open up to her? He adores and loves Amalia and fears the rejection she might give him. It’s why the moment she was slightly dismissive with her “Calm down, it was just a dream” he immediately leaves to be alone. He already has to deal with Adamai, he doesn’t want her to do it to him too.
But by doing this he is hurting her too. Like him Amalia is STRESSED beyond belief. She has a ton of weight and responsibility on her shoulders. And she can’t manage the conflicts of her people (especially with the eliatropes) If Yugo isn’t there to help her, If Yugo won’t be vulnerable to her. If he doesn’t trust her or won’t rely on her with his problems then how can she? How can she be open with him if he runs away from her at the deepest issues when they share so much intimacy and love.
Tumblr media
Their is already clear tension among the Sadida’s and the (VERY FEW) Eliatropes who now live among them. Many are unhappy with the changes, some openly voicing how “Armand would never have allowed this” suggesting they don’t like Yugo as their king either. And the old man talking about how he lost his son in the war, that the eliatropes haven’t faced sacrifice. (And this is despite that fact that they don’t know anything about their past or the war they went through, how they lost their own families- claiming they don’t understand Sadidan culture or tradition but never trying to learn the other sides either.)
Tumblr media
Communication is the key to relationships. Being open and vulnerable is how we understand eachother. Something reflected in the main three so far and the Sadidans+Eliatropes. Yugo keeps shutting Amalia out because of how Adamai treats him. Creating this endless cycle of distrust among the two and it’s reflected in their own people. Both could be amazing rulers and created a better place if they were both open with each-other. But they won’t, and unless Adamai and in turn Yugo open up and show vulnerability. They don’t have to show all of it, trust is slowly gained. Little by little in a healthy manner. But if Yugo doesn’t then the discourse and tension will continue to grow among all their people. (And if you’ve seen the teaser for a certain upcoming chapter you can see how that’s going 😭😭😭)
Tumblr media
Anyway, in conclusion: someone please get them therapy

Okay, okay, so listen up:
Season 1 Jon listens to the tape Gertrude left for her remplacement
BUT that by itself is no fun. So since I cannot take anything seriously ever, lets introduce a complication where he is and will remain a skeptic for the next 4 seasons. Along with the OG archives crew. They see clear proof of the supernatural and shrug it off as "well, I don't have my glasses on/kind of foggy out there/i'm high/didn't take my meds/whatever those weird explanations s1 jon kept coming up with.
Nobody ever dies, Sasha escapes the not-them on virtue of being the coolest person around and doesn't stop a moment to think too hard on it
They see their boss holding a bloody pipe next to a corpse and go oh gee elias watch out theres a dead body behind you. He almost wants them to try and get him arrested.
When the time for the Unknowing comes Jon's just like, welp, time to go set up some C4 in a random wax museum as some form of domestic terrorism team building activity. He just thinks his WEIRD but not-supernatural-at-all job consists of standing around and go all the weird places Elias tells him to for no discernable reason.
Melanie is the only one who seems to be immune to this terminal brain rotting disease (well, except for all the other monsters). She keeps trying to convince them it's all real, stab Elias and save the world. They just treat her as another crackpot conspiracy theorist. It drives her up the absolute WALL and tbh it's starting to make Elias question his grasp on reality too because HOW ARE THEY THAT OBLIVIOUS IS THIS A PLAY WHAT IS THE TRICK

Some folks asked me to post/share this here because they found it useful, so ...
I was a little surprised by the amount of people who thought Gabriel and Beelzebub literally met only three times before deciding they were in love and running off together. It's true that we see three pivotal moments in Gabriel's memories, and I think @neil-gaiman and co. showed the audience these specific moments for a reason, but the writing and visual cues in each of the scenes seemed to be done in a way that would emphasize the passage of time between meetings and the development of the relationship between Gabriel and Beelzebub to the audience.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
First Meeting: I believe this one happened not too long after Armageddon failed to materialize. We're given an immediate visual cue from Gabriel, whose outfit is closer to what he wore in S1; he's wearing the same scarf and jacket that he wore throughout that season, and also when he met Beelzebub on the Tadfield airbase. Could be appropriate attire for the season, since we do see Gabriel wearing the coat again a bit later (sans scarf).
At their meeting, Gabriel is seated on the left and Beelzebub is on the right. Their meeting place seems to be somewhere in Russia (away from their home territories). The table is rather large, creating some distance between the two of them. Their body language is also a lot more guarded: legs and arms crossed at times, and they tend to lean away from each other more throughout the conversation. This meeting is short, but there are some sparks between the two of them: the gentle teasing ("well, you lost"/"so did you"), Beelzebub crossing their arms and trying not to smile at Gabriel's "Arma-bloody-geddon" moment, and the shared understanding over the burdens of being the respective Commanders-in-Chief of Heaven and Hell.
It ends with Gabriel leaving quickly after saying it's a pity they'll never speak again, but ...
Tumblr media
Second Meeting: ... obviously, they do end up speaking again. When Gabriel enters this particular meeting, he's wearing an outfit closer to what we see him wearing in S2 prior to him losing his memory. Again, possibly a seasonal cue as well. At the beginning of the Second Meeting, Gabriel sits down across from Beelzebub and immediately proposes the idea of "no Armageddon." He would have no reason to do that unless there had been other meetings that deepened their initial connection and made him realize that hey, a victory for Heaven would mean NO Beelzebub, which would kind of suck because he's grown to enjoy their company and their little "work meetings."
While they've built a sort of rapport over their work lives, there seems to be something else simmering beneath the surface. This is reflected in more visual cues: their body language seems more comfortable/relaxed - they lean towards one another as opposed to leaning back and maintaining distance; the table itself is much smaller (meaning they're seated closer together/with less distance between them); and they've also switched sides - Beelzebub is now seated on the left and Gabriel is on the right. Their meeting place seems to be a bar in America, which might mean they've still been avoiding any meetings in their home territories.
Tumblr media
Beelzebub is open to Gabriel's suggestion and agrees to it almost immediately. Instead of rushing off like he did after their first meeting, Gabriel remains seated and Beelzebub seems to get a bit flustered by his gaze. They discuss the music playing on the jukebox, and Beelzebub is so much more patient with Gabriel's lack of knowledge than they would have been with anyone else. There are multiple layers to Gabriel's line, "Then ... I also like it." The little subtleties from Jon Hamm and Shelley Conn add a wonderful depth to these short scenes tbh.
At the end of the meeting, Beelzebub straightens up, fixes their gaze on Gabriel, and very pointedly states that there's "no NEED for them to ever meet again," smiling slightly as they wait for his response ("none whatsoever"). The wording there is important because ...
Tumblr media
Third Meeting: ... there IS no "need" for them to ever meet again. From here on out, they're meeting solely because they WANT to be in each other's company. They're no longer pretending that their meetings are strictly business, and they're also not limiting themselves to locations outside their home territories. I get the feeling that the Third Meeting the audience gets to see was more like their "first date." Instead of meeting directly at a public location to discuss "business," Gabriel takes Beelzebub to see something important to him. Of course, this is Gabriel we're talking about, and he's taken Beelzebub to see the statue of him in a local cemetery in Edinburgh. But still! The statue is meaningful to him, and he wanted to share that with Beelzebub. They're even standing right next to each other as the scene begins, with Beelzebub's head cocked to listen as Gabriel speaks. Shelley Conn gives us this awesome moment of Beelzebub looking at Gabriel almost wistfully, and mmm do I have Some Thoughts about that entire scene. I've shared them elsewhere, maybe I'll eventually post them over here, but the TLDR is that yeah, I feel like they're wishing Gabriel would look at them Like That. I also think maybe there was some larger doubt re: whether or not the Archangel Fucking Gabriel, God's Messenger, would ever love a demon over their heavenly duty/station. But I digress.
Following their excursion to see the statue, Beelzebub and Gabriel wind up at The Resurrectionist. Gabriel's been wearing that coat again, which could show another shift in the seasons. Instead of sitting across from each other, Gabriel and Beelzebub are now seated next to each other in a cozy booth. The candles and dim lighting give it a romantic feel. Adding to that clumsy sort of romantic feeling, we see Gabriel and Beelzebub each doing something nice for the other just to see them happy. Gabriel performs a small miracle on the jukebox to have it play what has essentially become "their" song, and Beelzebub gifts a fly in return - essentially, a small piece of themselves, as they are the Lord of the Flies after all. It also happens to be the first thing anyone's ever given to Gabriel, a fact that has quite an impact on Beelzebub.
Tumblr media
When Aziraphale is talking to the owner of The Resurrectionist, he learns that the jukebox miracle occurred "last year." So we can deduce (detective word!) that Gabriel and Beelzebub had been "dating" for about a year prior to his "disappearance." A year is a long time for them to develop much deeper feelings and intimacy. Not necessarily talking about sex there either, because folks can imagine whatever they want to in that regard. I mean intimacy in the sense of knowing and feeling comfortable with each other. The way they hold hands and have their arms around each other in the S2 finale indicates that they'd gotten pretty cozy with all of that. I mean, come on, look at how happy Gabriel was to see them once his memories were returned and how immediately his entire demeanor changed.
Tumblr media
In the brief moments we see Gabriel prior to his memory loss, he's behaving differently from his S1 counterpart, who was a lot more rigid and laser-focused on Armageddon. Even Beelzebub seems a bit changed; that scene with Demon Josh is a great example. Granted, Beelzebub was more subdued/worried about Gabriel in that moment, but it seems like they'd grown a longer fuse and/or were less quick to anger/annoyance. Daydreaming can do that to a demon, I suppose.
I love this pairing; they're such a great example of how loving someone and being loved in return can bring out the "real"/best version of yourself. I'd totally read an entire novel about them. And can I just add once again that the visual cues were so well done? Not just the acting from Shelley Conn and Jon Hamm, who really brought a lot to the table (see what I did there) with their facial expressions and mannerisms, but the actual visual cues in each of these scenes: the way the two of them were gradually seen to be sitting closer until they were seated right next to each other; the shift in body language between meetings; the way they switched sides during each of the meetings we got to see, as opposed to Aziraphale and Crowley having dominant "sides" that we tend to see them on; etc. I could write an essay on this (more than I already have) so I'll have to stop myself now.
Anyway. Screenplays are neat, and it's fun to see how words and imagery combine to tell a much larger story. Of course, you need great actors to really bring it all home, and thankfully we've been blessed with many in Good Omens. Much love to Jon Hamm and Shelley Conn for their work here.

anyways salty thoughts. dont expect me to be nice
this is the one problem not exclusive to the finale, god ed's character arc just. didnt do it for me at all. I excused it before cuz I thought it would pay off as the season went on but nope. he never had a genuine apology moment, just that youtuber apology like gag and the cat collar joke. like they literally show us how the crew was completely scarred by his actions but theyre later just completely fine with him on board???? and stede keeps being his biggest stan when I think he would have been like hey what the fuck!! im sorry I hurt you but I am not responsible for your actions and you hurt my crew whom I hold very dear!! I love ed but Fuck he really went too far those first episodes and he never makes up for it. they only ever focus on His Own self journey, not how he hurt and traumatized practically every other character.
"well, I think narratively izzy's death made sense but—" no!! no it fucking didnt!! im sorry but it was just lazy writing!! they didnt know what to do with him so whoops he gets shot in the dumbest way possible. like, this aint my first rodeo, it aint the first time ive seen a character start off on their character journey to happiness only for writers to give up on it and kill them off. it's a tiring fucking trope tbh and I really wish they hadnt fallen into this trap. like his death scene wasnt good either, if youre gonna do it at least focus on his relationship with the crew, you know, the people he came to accept as family? not the man Who Shot Off His Fucking Leg And Almost Killed Him? I know they had an important relationship but that shit should have been talked about way beforehand, it deserved closure. they should have acknowledged they werent good for each other and made peace with it. izzy deserved a death with people who actually made him happy. ALSO THEY BURY HIM ON FUCKING LAND?????? he spent his life at sea!!!! he is the most devoted out of everyone to being a pirate and you bury him next to your fucking inn???? fucking twats istg
lastly I swear they forgot stede is the main character. they forgot literally everything about how to write him. he gets No Focus in the finale, and every scene he is in is bullshit. I actually wanted to punch my screen every time there was a joke about him being incompetent or whatever. like, hello??? thought we left that shit in s1??? he had Multiple Episodes about learning to be a pirate and adjusting to his new life and gaining more skills but no. he is just silly old loserboy for his cool war criminal boyfriend now. literally no skills or experience whatsoever. ok sure yea thats totally how he acted the rest of the season. also the fuck is it with him staying behind to run the inn with ed?? wasnt the whole conflict last episode their different desires out of life, with ed wanting to start a normal life and stede wanting to be a pirate?? when the Fuck did he change his mind. who are you and have you done with my boy
honestly I feel bad because jenkins is actually a good writer and the whole fandom really expected a lot from a man making his second show, and I think there were a lot of budget cuts and production issues so I can see why it turned out this way. he is probably mad about this too, I bet the cast also, like even the acting in this episode didnt feel passionate, and thats saying a lot since these actors really love this show. im just frustrated. man. time to write fics ig

this is me being nitpicky but I hate how bad Rachel is at highlights now If you ever look at old LO panels you'd see the gods "glowed" bc of background noise behind them or bc their colors bounded off the walls/floor, meanwhile literal highlights on their face and bodies were either sparsely used to help them stand out from the background (so usually only Hades had them lol) or were because of harsh lighting like neon lights (UW corp scenes, the strip club, the Tower 4 scene, scenes in direct sunlight) while scenes of them in more neutral areas (indoors usually) rarely if ever used them. the highlights also tended to be specific to the character (so Minthe's would be either light red for her skin or yellow to match her eyes, while Persephone's would be a light pink). now current Lo has them all have the same harsh off-white in such jagged lines at random with no sense or logic to the lighting and mood and it stinks :/
Not nitpicky at all tbh, the lack of glow was what got me started on panel editing LO for all these reasons! It's a shame she doesn't employ those colors and textures anymore, it's really noticeable nowadays where we just have these neon-saturated characters on top of void backgrounds (¬_¬;) It's why I stand by the fact that S1 LO's art may not have been perfect (it had plenty of its own anatomy issues lol) but at least it still felt like it had effort being put into every panel, the issues it had were easily balanced out with the unique techniques it utilized. Now those techniques are gone so we're just being left with the worst parts of it.

i know loads of other people have written and theorised about this, and there was an amazing post about how someone knew the actual owner of the bentley and how things had to get swapped around*, but for the sake of my own bloody sanity i needed to go through all the bentley snippets we see re: seat colours, interior door panel colours, and the bond transfers because otherwise it was going to drive me loopy-
*if anyone has a link for this post, please wing it over to me and i will link, it was really interesting!!!
let's start with the 1941 and 1967 flashbacks where we see the bentley: ✅ brown seats ✅ brown panels (as far as i can tell) ✅ bullet decal (1967):
Tumblr media
then let's move to s1. tbh, i've only done this for the sake of full disclosure, but as far as i can tell, ✅ brown seats ✅ brown panels ✅ bullet decal (no pics but fairly content that they're there in all scenes):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
*correction, apologies! middle right should be ep4!
and then, post bentley going up like kindling, and being resurrected by adam, we can see what looks to be black seats and, i'd hazard is an open window (given the lack of shimmer/reflection compared to the window on its left) - see we can't confirm the bullet decals. however - and mainly because it doesnt fit the pattern im about to lay out - this image is very zoomed in, and lighting quality isn't quite reliable. so personally, im considering this as inconclusive:
Tumblr media
so now let's move onto s2. eps 1 and 2 are fairly straightforward, ✅ brown seats ✅ brown panels ✅ bullet decal:
episode 1: (3rd and 4th images are before and after the beelzebub interaction)
Tumblr media
episode 2:
Tumblr media
but here's where things get interesting (stating the obvious, i know that everyone knows this), but given that this is when aziraphale takes the bentley - after the very poignant "our car' discussion - we can see the following:
setting off from soho: ✅ brown seats ✅ bullet decal ❓brown panels, but likely
on the way to edinburgh: ❌ black seats ✅ bullet decal ❌ black panels
arrival in edinburgh: ❌ black seats ✅ bullet decal ❌ black panels
Tumblr media
okay, well, he changed the bodywork and hubcaps too, so this makes sense. but black? for aziraphale? feels somewhat like it's a compromise; he's gone ostentatious on the outside, literally the colour of crowley's eyes, but red leather for the interior... is a little much. so he compromises - keeps the decals (to honour his knight in turtleneck armour), but changes the inside to a cool, suave black. very 007.
but then we go to ep4, and specifically when aziraphale is accosted by shax. now, clear point to remember - shax has to have permission to enter, and compared to ep2 when she asks but materialises inside anyway, she now waits for aziraphale to acquiesce. this is the difference between a demon's car, and a demon-and-angel-couple-who-arent-quite-yet-a-couple-but-thats-just-semantics' car. by this point, crowley has accepted, agreed, that it is their car.
hitchhiker: ❌ black seats ✅ bullet decal ❌ black panels
return to soho: ❌ black seats ✅ bullet decal ❌ black panels
Tumblr media
ep5 carries on in much the same way as the end of ep4 - crowley has not changed anything since edinburgh, ❌ black seats ✅ bullet decal ❌ black panels (not pictured, but can be seen in the same bit as the first pic):
Tumblr media
and then ep6, beloved. again, nothing has changed. crowley's window is, however, rolled down in the departure scene, so the decal can't be accounted for. that being said, im fairly sure we can be certain it's there (and i have a thought about why it's rolled down but tbh it's so arbitrary that it's barely worth mentioning imo). in any case, ❌ black seats ❓ bullet decal ❌ black panels:
Tumblr media
now i know there's the whole separate thing about the exterior changing from light grey to dark grey/black, but tbh i think that is going to be down to the continuity issue with the original bentley used in s1. as for neil's answers on his asks, here and here... look. could be something of nothing, but i don't think personally it's a wider conspiracy; i think it could be just be either that yeah, maybe some of my colour assignments in the above screenshots are wrong, or he's doing his parent-teacher-writing thing of what do you think?
maybe not, maybe it was a continuity issue, and we just have to apply hc to this to get an explanation.
well, mine is just simply that it's not a nefarious issue or mucking about with time etc... i think crowley just accepted aziraphale's ownership, and whilst he drew the line at yellow bodywork (the respectable choice imo, tbh), he kept everything else.

Imagine If You Will... (Presentations, Neal Sampat x gn!Reader)
Neal always made the best presentations, and you'd never say no to catching another one even if it took over your dinner break... although it doesn't hurt that you're totally into him.
Warnings: Drunkenness (not Neal or Reader), Conspiracy theories (one made up by me), cursing, Jim and Maggie being annoying will-they-wont-they (S1-esque), teasing (non-sexual), mentions of sex ('bone', 'sleep with'), talk of making someone jealous (Maggie) W.C: ~3.5k A/N: wrote this for myself cause the thought would not leave my mind, a bit all over the place tbh
For a Tuesday, the bar you work at was insanely packed, well for any other bar that is. The karaoke bar often found itself full on the most random of days, thanks to the News Night team that often poured in not long after nine. There must have been some serious stress up in the newsroom today, the usual crowd had ran through their happy hour left overs in minutes and were putting away drinks faster than you could open, pour or mix.
Well, almost all of the crowd.
A few tired faces sipped slowly, all but completely removed from the jovial air of the night. Predictably a small table of higher ups had tucked themselves away from the younger employees but for once they seemed at least content, relieved that the day was done.
The aforementioned younger employees were singing along to whomever was on stage, laughing and having what seemed to be a great time.
The most jubilant of all however was practically frothing holding in a ted talk up one end of the bar, Neal had all but skipped in around twenty after nine and slammed his laptop onto the bar. His palms drummed against the device as he sat waiting for your attention to catch on him, he'd prepared yet another presentation that he was more than eager to share.
There had been over a dozen presentations since he'd first caught you off guard with his Bigfoot conspiracy around six months prior, and you'd been intrigued (and smitten) pretty much ever since he'd taken a breath after the speech to introduce himself.
When you'd finished serving the small line you'd gained, you pulled a tray of glasses over to the corner where he'd stationed himself, setting yourself up to begin polishing as he spoke, you waited a moment before meeting his eyes.
'What do you have for me today?'
His smile grew ever wider as he began to ramble, shooting up from his stool, hands wild as always.
'There is a man on the edge of Texas who swears up and down that he witnessed an alien abduction,'
'That's crazy everyone knows-' You kept your voice monotone but the corners of your mouth pulled back as you watched the perpetual motion machine in front of you gearing up, giving away your interest.
'Yes! Exactly! No one gets abducted in Texas, but this runs in a long series of the general trend moving south towards the equator and-'
'Neal' Grabbing his attention with a call of his name and a soft hand stilling his frozen in the air you attempted to slow the speeding train, 'Don't spoil it! Wait for my break!'
Your enthusiasm wasn't new, and thankfully even after you asked him to delay his presentation, he had learned over time that you were truly interested.
Neal was a marvel, he had a way of making topics interesting no matter how absurd or irrelevant they were. Well... Most of the time. Not even his skills could make the discussion of 'Decentralized disingenuous rip-off architectural styles of the 22nd century' an enjoyable way to spend your half hour break... and yet you had sat there and engaged him nonetheless, forced as it may have been.
Yanking the laptop to his chest, he nodded vigorously, muttering out a string of 'of course'-s until he tripped slightly, steadied himself and wandered cautiously off in the direction of his friends.
Continuing the task at hand, you failed to notice someone saddling themselves in the recently abandoned stool and staring intently at the top of your lowered head, until, of course, they cleared their throat.
'Sorry, how can I- Oh hi Jim, what can I get you?' Jim had introduced himself a while back, and given the amount of mopey nights he spent sat at the bar you'd spoken quite a bit. You'd given him the bartender therapy treatment time and time again to no prevail, conceding not too long ago that maybe you'd just leave him be, outside of pouring his drinks.
Strangely enough he seemed caught off guard by the question, stuttering out a brand name somewhat absentmindedly, before falling silent.
'So, what's on your mind?' Placing the beer in front of him and retrieving fresh glass, you began to polish it to really finish the picture.
Glancing back to his group of friends, you followed his gaze, Maggie was sitting with the others but her mind was clearly elsewhere. Letting a groan slip past your lips you set your gaze back on the man in front of you. You'd heard your fair share about the pair of them, from the pair themselves, from Neal and on occasion from a drunken Mackenzie.
'Really? what a surprise! Christ! just make a move!'
'But I cant Sh-'
'They broke up' you cut him off, eyes narrowed in his direction
'Still... I can't- She doesn't thin-'
'Jesus fuck Ji-' This time It was a new voice that interrupted your own interruption,
'If you wanna know how she feels, just make her jealous'
'N-no I-that's not-' Your own stutter was ignored this time as Jim's eyes lit up at the woman's remark.
'Do you really think that'll work Mac?'
'No of course not... its just the plot of every romantic comedy for no reason.' Her sarcasm was about as thick as the idea itself was, this was a recipe for dumb-ass-ery for sure and something you wanted no part in. So you searched for the eyes of another customer, desperate, for the first time, to return to your job as you stepped away from the pair.
'Would you help me?' Ignoring him in hopes he was talking to he woman by his side you cursed the lack of a line, until with a call of your name he repeated his question.
Whirling back to him your face traversed the range of outraged expressions in the milliseconds it took to take the step, before settling on one of exaggerated disbelief.
'No way.' The simple dismissal had his head dropping onto the table, whereas Mac seemed undeterred. A hand, unknowingly heavy in tipsy lack of focus, slapped the back of his head in an attempt at comfort as she set a half hearted scowl on you.
'Why not? They just need a little bit of help,' Rolling your eyes at the push, you took a breath.
The pair needed more than a little help, they needed a truckload, and from what you've heard and witness in the bar, they'd dodged truck after truck over the past year. In your consideration of a reply, you let your eyes wander the space, getting stuck, as they always did, like glue on Neal as he traipsed towards his friends in the overpacked booth.
'They're both adults they-'
'Its because of Neal!' Mac's hushed exclamation followed by the smile of a cat with a mouthful of canary was infuriating, expected as it was.
'Wow great job, I cant believe you figured it out! You really are a journalist!' Your sarcasm was only slightly motivated by embarrassment at being caught staring, or at least that's what you'd prefer to tell yourself.
'Yeah Mac, its kind of obvious' The muffled statement left Jim as he raised his head, 'Even I got that and I didn't even see them checking him out.' Rolling your eyes with a smile you flipped him off for good measure, sure the conversation was sadly destined to continue.
'You'll be too busy with his presentation anyway won't you?'
'Yep! So have fun moping, I'm gonna take my break early.' Dismissing his glass house attempt at teasing you reached behind yourself, untied and shrugged off your apron, before turning away from the bar.
Making quick work of the space between, you stopped in front of the group, giving a quick hello to the others as Neal made a prolonged attempt to scramble from the cushioned seat, laptop tucked under his arm precariously. Offering him your hand and leading him to one of the tables in the back you ignored the all to familiar whistles cast your way by his friends.
Patting down his clothes, he opened the document and gestured you towards a seat, his movements were wilder than usual, the fun of the night clearly twisting his tired mind into an even more excitable demeanor.
'SO', he began, if you'd witnessed him doing a bump you'd have been less surprised by his immediate volume, 'Dirk Sevent, reported that on the fourth of April he was abducted from his backyard in Abilene, Texas.' The clack of his spacebar revealed a map, some photos and what you could assume was a picture of the man in question as he continued on, 'This is the forth report of such an incident in Texas over the last four months...' Clack 'However if we go back, this frequency of reports is triple what it was just five years ago, this is occurring in all states at it's latitude. This rate, which was, around five years ago, present in states at a placement such as Nebraska, which in turn had the rate that was present in Texas five years ago, ten years ago...' As he spoke Neal paced around you, emphatically pulling fact after fact from his mind, barely sparing the computer a look outside of hitting the spacebar. Listening to his speech, your eyes followed every gesture and jerk, utterly enthralled by the enigma that was his presence in these moments.
Clack...
'...the mirror effect in the southern hemisphere...'
Where did he pull that miniature globe from?
Clack...
'...psychological phenomenon...'
Is that a stock photo MRI?
Clack...
'...alien strategy...'
Okay now that's plainly just ET
Clack...
'...The End'
The impassioned speech passed the time much too fast, as it often did, and yet the pair of you continued a lively discussion until your phone alarm let you know to get back to work.
Neal walked you back to the bar, the conversation unrelenting until your apron was secured and a guest had started calling for your attention. With a wave he returned to his booth and you returned to your work, already impatient for the next presentation.
...
The crew from News Night were back at the bar within the week, another stressful day you presumed, and you considered for a moment that perhaps the broadcast had gone wrong when Jim's pouting face settled at the stool in front of you. However, when you heard an obscene chorus of laughter from their regular booth you realized it must be a ~personal issue~, so setting a beer down in front of him, you quirked an eye brow up as you met his eyes and with a sigh he met yours.
'I'm fine.' he ground out. Humming in response you moved to turn away knowing full well he was going to continue.
'I have no idea what I'm meant to do'
Furrowing your brow you tapped a finger to your chin, 'Hmm it is a hard one... OH wait, no its not just ASK. HER. OUT!' you were basically yelling, luckily the jarring voices of a duet sounding from the karaoke stage practically drowned you out.
Ignoring the roll of his eyes you maintained, 'She'll say yes.'
'You don't know that!' Jim ran a shaky hand down his face.
'Yes I do, everyone does. I'd even bet the people who see her on the blurry background of the broadcast do too.'
'Oh fuck off. Prove it then!'
'Piss off, I'm not helping you make her jealous' Reason not consciously known, you find yourself glancing around the bar, landing on nothing at all before returning to the man in front of you.
Meeting his eyes you weren't too happy about the smirk that pulled at the corners of his mouth, nor were you too excited about the teasing tone that filled his voice when he began to speak, 'You know he's not here... something about working late then going straight home.' Narrowing your gaze, you awaited what inevitably came next.
'Soo... You could help me? Knowing Neal wont see it, you should be happy to help now. Right?'
Releasing a deep breath you eyed Jim, considering the fallout.
One of their co-workers could see and think it was real and tell Neal, all the flirting over the last six months would go down the drain cause you'd look like you were about two seconds away from boning his friend (and boss).
Then again you were probably overthinking it, Neal wasn't here, and if Jim and Maggie did get together you doubt anyone is gonna remember Jim flirting with you. Even if they did, you'd just tell him the truth, you'd tell him you were trying to help Jim, lord knows he wants the pair together more than you do.
Plus this is a great chance to bargain...
'Okay, I'll do it, but just this once... and only for a price, from now on, you give a 30% tip on anything you buy from me or anyone here, forever.'
'What-?'
'That's the price... I'll flirt with you, help make it convincing and help you figure out if Maggie feels the same.'
He was silent for a moment... mulling over the deal until he slowly began to nod.
'Okay, deal.'
'Good, now slowly fix your posture, as if you want to look less like a gremlin in front of the woman you like.' Watching him follow your words, you let out a small fake laugh, not too noticeable but surely audible even through the never-ending karaoke performances. Painting a sickeningly sweet smile on your face, you tilted you head slightly as you feigned fawning over the man in front of you.
'Now lean back on your stool, I'm going to lean forward...' Trailing off in your lilting tone you reached to undo the top most button of your shirt, the action covered by a scratch of your neck with the other. Leaning across the bar on your elbows you put yourself in his space, fingers tapping on the surface as you kept your eyes on him.
'Why don't you flirt with Neal like this?' Why didn't you? His question was fair, but annoying nevertheless.
'Shut up. Now, do you have a business card on you?'
'Uh yeah, with the office line, why?'
'Write something on one side, and hand it to me with a smirk, let your hand sit on mine for a moment before moving it.' Jim did as you said, leaning closer until the pair of you were but centimeters apart, the smirk on his face was charming as he watched you take his card with a shy smile. Even as he spoke it remained and flirtatious as ever, 'Is all this what you want Neal to do?'
His teasing was short-lived after that, when you leant closer, lips ghosting over his ear as a hand rested on his chest. You eyes glanced around the room as you spoke,
'Neal wouldn't need me to tell him what to-'
Your voice dropped off as your flitting gaze fell on the door,
Standing over the threshold was Neal, laptop tucked under his arm, eyes seemingly stuck on the pair of you.
Pulling back from Jim you move to hold his chin under your thumb, maintaining the smile on your face despite the strain it suddenly required. You spoke through your your gritted teeth, barely attempting to keep the seethe from your voice, 'Going straight home is he?'
His brow pinched the smirk falling slightly, 'Yeah why?' Glancing to your side to lead his attention, you leaned back from the bar. Watching out the corner of your eye as Neal stepped back out through the door, it falling closed with a slam behind him, your hands immediately moved to tug off your apron, still attempting to pretend to be flirting with Jim as you smoothed out your clothes.
'Go speak to Maggie, make this worth it or so help me god...' Forcing out the mumbled words, you tucked a piece of stray hair behind his ear for good measure, before, as casually as you could with your blood pounding through you ears you made your way out from behind the bar and out the door.
Fuck fuck fuck
Whirling around on the stoop, you couldn't see Neal anywhere, your heart sunk and the weather twisted the knife, within seconds every inch of skin puckered in goosebumps and your nose stung red. The frozen wind blew through the tee and jeans you wore to work like water through paper, your coat long forgotten in your rush.
Hands twisting together furiously, in a futile attempt at conjuring warmth and calming your nerves, your focus was spread too thin and you wavered as you scuttled towards the AWN building. Head on a swivel you searched the footpaths for his tall figure, stopping in your tracks only after a car horn blared right past you.
It took a longer moment than it should have before you noticed your feet were on the asphalt. Scurrying back to the side of the road you drove the heels of your hands into your eyes, hoping to wake up your absent brain as you prepared to concede and slink back to the bar.
Until a foreign heat rested on your shoulder, following the hand you found Neal's eyes on yours and his lips moving in some sort of mime act. Oh wait he's speaking,
'Hey-oh watch out there, are you okay? What are you doing out here?'
His voice was soft yet unsure, with an ounce of something new, that you immediately knew you didn't want to hear again.
'I-' Shaking your head in another attempt to collect a single thought you looked towards the ground, '-I was looking for you, and I guess I was moving a little too fast for my head to keep up.' His eyes remained on yours, as he nodded slowly, seemingly at a loss for words in a similar stupor to your own.
'Wait- Why were you looking for me?' His tone was the same and you hated it all the more that it must have been your doing.
'I saw you come in, but you left straight away, it was weird. I wanted to check on you.' Your voice was low, restrained from the casual air it normally held when you were with him, it didn't feel right.
'Yeah, I had a presentation, but you were busy so I thought it could wait.' His new tone wasn't harsh or cold, it was distant.
'Oh- yeah it wasn't-' real flirting, '-He asked if I'd' Fake flirt with him to make Maggie jealous.
Finishing either of those sentences would have been great... finishing that rambled nonsense with anything other than...
'He said you were going straight home.'
Fuck, Fuck. 'Cause what does that even mean?
'What' it was more of an ousting of breath than a question, you could tell his eyes were still locked on you, even as yours burrowed into the pavement.
'The other day, Jim and Mac asked me to flirt with him to convince him that Maggie liked him and would get jealous. I said no, and they knew it was because of you-'
'Me-' his interjection flew cleanly in one ear and out the other as you continued.
'So today, cause he thought you wouldn't be here, he asked again and I agreed because I thought it would be good for them to finally get together already and also I made him pay me 30% in tips in perpetuity-'
'No wait wh-' Once again your rambling tramped over his question.
'-And like you weren't there so there was like no harm no foul so I was like who cares, it can only go well. And even if someone told you I could just explain what happened which I guess is what I'm doing...'
Pushing slightly on your shoulder to get your attention, his tone was still as strange as it had been but now it had an even stranger calmness, 'Why does me not being here mean anything?'
There wasn't really a way to answer without giving it all away, but there was no way you were going to do anything but tell him the truth, so you steeled yourself as you finally met his eyes,
'I figured if you saw me pretending to want to sleep with your boss it would send mixed messages, when I feel like the message of "Wow Neal, you're so hot and funny and smart" has at least been kind of clear. Even if it went clear over your head.'
'Wanna know something interesting?' His hand dropped from your shoulder, and the cold that took his place twisted your stomach...
'No...' In your mind there was nothing good that came from this so you took the slightest step back as you watched him pry open his laptop.
'Yeah, you do.' His eyes were on yours again as he spun the computer around in his arms, across the screen was a new presentation, an image of dark red curtains with script title scrawled in white; 'Reasons we should kiss right now...'
Clack...
'We're both really hot'
I mean he's not wrong,
Clack...
'I'm like crazy into you'
Is that a stock photo human heart?
Clack...
'You're totally into my presentations...'
How did he take that photo without you noticing?
Clack...
'Except for the "Decentralized architectural styles", yes I noticed.'
'P.S. that was a test'
Cheeky bastard...
Clack...
'...kiss?'
Okay now that's plainly just ET again
Pushing the laptop closed against his chest you closed the space between you,
'Kiss...' you confirmed as you leant in close.
.
.
.
'That wasn't originally the one for today so if you do want to hear about MothMan's tramp stamp-'
'Neal?'
'yeah?'
'Kiss.'
'OH yeah!'

One thing I’m interested in is the drastic ways Rayla has changed yet also stayed the same in S4. When talking about Viren, she looks at her wrist that was bound in S1 for Ezran’s life. She says that she spent every moment of the last two years of her life obsessively hunting down Claudia (and Viren) but it yielded nothing. We know from the one time she tries to talk about her feelings that the choice to come back to Katolis and the journey there was about a week, so it’s recent. She still goes off alone at the first sign of danger, she’s no longer willing to stick her neck out for anything and has become more emotionally repressed in some ways, despite having greater clarity in her feelings for Callum than ever before.
“I left him alone, I shouldn’t have,” feels like both an acknowledgement of her past (“I messed up again”) with Callum as well as foreshadowing for the future.  Even her statement of “So much has happened since then” in reference to Callum jumping off the Spire after her when, for Rayla, it’s largely a mystery as to what exactly she was up to and what she’s been through. And she’s clearly been through something, to call her originally grief driven journey as revenge (as perhaps that’s what it became, for everything it felt like Claudia and Viren had taken from her until she realized what she’d taken from herself) and in her confrontation with Soren. Up until now, Rayla has always saved people, so what’s convinced her that she can’t? Two years of failure making her feel like that’s all she can do? Maybe.
But I’m deeply intrigued to see where this goes and how this all gets expanded on next season, tbh.

Sonic Prime thing
so basically after i watched Sonic Prime S3 (on the day it came out) i was left pretty unsatisfied with the weird storytelling, plot holes and loose ends and decided to start brainstorming a re-imagining for it and drew some designs...
so this is gonna be long but i wanna preface this by saying i'm not a writer or even that good at character design 😭!!!! and also the majority of this is like from almost 2 months ago and it's very incomplete so i haven't done much thought on it i just had some ideas and ran with it Tbh. so if stuff doesn't make much sense Lmk bc a multiverse story is a very big thing to tackle, you really have to pay attention to the little stuff for everything to be complete.
also i like stuff with darker themes so if a lot of this is like "a Sonic show wouldn't do that" well. Yeah. this isn't a pitch to SEGA it's just my own thing LOL
(also also we're just gonna throw out the whole "Prime is canon to the games" here, i use the games as a basis but i wouldn't say this is in the realms of canon for multiple reasons)
~ The Main Stuff ~
so pretty much i went into this mostly thinking about changing the shatterverses while still keeping the base ideas that Prime had, and also a bit about how the shatterverse works in the first place. so i have some bullet points that i wrote down. i haven't watched s1&2 in a long time so i don't remember too much of the lore they already established, so if some of this is just reiterating what they said in the show then that's my bad
i wasn't exactly sure how it made sense that a single rock in some random cave conveniently in green hills had control of the entire universe so i want the explanation for why breaking the prism had this kind of effect to be something else (or to just change the prism to be something different) but i'm not sure exactly what. definitely not like "it was an illusion like the phantom ruby" or some stupid shit but it felt off that something completely world (universe) ending was so easily accessible. anyway.
Sonic explicitly doesn't exist in each alternate universe because he was the one who broke the prism. Sonic being the final piece that brings the universe together should probably have bigger lore implications as well
i think this is already what's in canon but Shadow used chaos control as the prism got shattered, causing himself to get fragmented across time and space as well.
unlike in the show, Shadow still has alternate versions of himself in each of the universes, but he has to kinda do an EEAAO and swap into their consciousness for him to be able to enter their respective universes (which takes a lot of energy bc its literally dimension travel so he can't do it a lot). his actual body is stuck in the void which means its at risk of erosion and also any hazard in the void like asteroids n stuff. it also explains why he's greatly weakened in the show (because his ass should not have been handed to him that easily in s3) cuz bits of his . being. is split across each universe, and can only be completed by the prism.
the void decays life which adds a higher stake to Sonic needing to complete the prism asap and also why Shadow is so hellbent on getting him to do it quickly. his actual, original self is slowly dying. (adds a bit of a character flaw too like the zombot arc, because you'd think the ultimate lifeform would be resistant to erosion. maybe at first he thinks he'll be fine and does the dimension travelling for fun until he starts feeling Really drained)
before i get to the individual universes, i'll talk a bout Sonic's character real quick because hoo boy, was it BAD in Prime. no shade to anyone who enjoyed his character in Prime, but as a show that claims to be "canon to the games", he was embarrassingly out of character. if it were just another version of him like movie Sonic i wouldn't really be so weirded out by it. so i wanna just say right off the bat that i'm using my own favourite iteration of Sonic as a reference for his character, which is the characterization from Sonic X.
i think when the prism gets properly explained, Sonic would kind of put 2 and 2 together and realize completing the prism would erase the other universes. and rather than being all ambiguous about it like Prime was, here it very explicitly would be that restoring the prism will erase the shatterverse. so Sonic get's really stuck between a rock and a hard place, because restoring the prism brings his friends and world back, but then he's effectively killing thousands of people, many of them who look exactly like his friends, all for the sake of his own world.
i think this is the kind of dilemma that would be really good for a character like Sonic, who's carefree and always does what he believes to be the right thing regardless of what other people say. his conflict with Nine isn't even all that different from his conflict with Merlina. but would he be okay with being enemies with someone who's literally just his little brother? i don't think Sonic would have tried to reason with Nine as much as he did in Prime, attachment be damned, but i still think it would still be hard for him to come to terms with the fact that Nine is his enemy and that in the end he would have to erase him too.
this is all i wanna say about Sonic rn because truth be told i'm not exactly sure how different the decisions he made in Prime would be here since i haven't thought too much on it, i would have to rewatch the show (god forbid) to figure that out lol.
~New Yolk City~
so i actually have designs for this, some of them have went through changes but they're all pretty "initial concepts". i wanna say that first off, i wanted this to be explicitly an alternate timeline and not just an alternate universe. one where Sonic doesn't exist in the main timeline so nobody really does anything to stop Eggman and he takes over the world. the designs are deliberately edgy so i call it sonic underfell in my notes lol
also, because a dystopian Sonic premise already exists in the form of SatAM... we got Sally Acorn back :D i didn't include all the Freedom Fighters for fear of the cast getting too big, but Nicole is here too because i love Sonic comic's robo assistants like Nicole and Kintobor. Sonia and Manic were also considered as added characters since Sonic Underground also has a dystopian premise, but i think it would be weird to add Sonic's siblings in a world where he doesn't exist, so it's not like they'd have a little 'OMG he's my long lost brother' moment. like no they don't even know who he is LOL.
alright so for character info i'll start with Nine because he's like the 3rd most important character in the show. i have a few different sketches of him, most incomplete... and for the third one my friend wanted him to look more emo. i wanted to add a bit more to that design but i wasn't sure what to do. if anyone has suggestions lmk
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
just like in the show, bc Sonic never meets Tails, Tails doesn't get saved from bullying and becomes very jaded. as for the robot face and tails, i think in the show they really drive it home how Nine values robots over people very much, going as far as to make robot clones of his friends in order to replace them. so... robot body parts doesn't seem too out of the realm for what he'd do! it's a very good parallel to what i have planned for Eggman/the Chaos Council it's also very fucking gruesome and sad esp because hes like 8 years old..
also, i'd really love it if he wasn't just weirdly evil the way he was in Prime S3. because no the hell he is not evil, it felt like a cheap way to get you to stop sympathizing with him until the very last moment where he had a change of heart. he's just a small, traumatized kid who was shown friendship for the first time only to realize that Sonic only cared about him because he was a Tails and actually pretty much wanted him dead (even if this all wasn't exactly true, i can genuinely see why he felt this way).
next i'll talk about who the main extra characters in this universe will be, which is Sally and Nicole.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
so obv the resistance is called the Freedom Fighters, and Sally is the commander (like she should've been in Sonic Forces/IDW, but alas, she is dead to SEGA). she'd have a much more serious personality compared to her Archie/SatAM counterpart. where she'd usually banter with Sonic in Archie, here she would straight up tell him to gtfo. the aim of the Freedom Fighters in current time isn't really to fight to get their world back, just to survive and preserve what they still have.
just like in other media, Nicole is Sally's AI assistant slash potential love interest who does all the tech-y stuff, like scanning the area for threats, hacking things, etc. which gives them a bit of more power against the enemy without needing Nine's help.
next we got Amy aka Rusty Rose, this time she's fully a robot instead of being only half of one, and i'll expand on why. (also to note i didn't look at other Metal Amy fan designs when making this just to try and keep this a bit more original lol)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
so, obviously being inspired by SatAM and Archie, roboticization is a concept that would be reintroduced here through Rusty Rose. she was previously a freedom fighter who got a bit reckless and was captured, and was roboticized before her allies could save her. she's kind of used as a cautionary tale among the Freedom Fighters as a way to hammer in don't be reckless and don't get caught.
i remember in Sonic Prime they tried to use the flicky 'powering' her as a way to keep her connection with humanity, which was great except for the fact that she still had half a mobian face so she wasn't even fully robot. in this case, i decided to make her fully robot and keep the flicky, except this time it is genuinely powering her lifeforce unlike whatever they did in the show. obviously taking it out for a bit just to showcase the fact she does have a flicky won't insta-kill her, but she will slowly die without the flicky inside of her. not sure why the Chaos Council didnt just slap a chaos drive in there but whatever lol, it's nice symbolism anyway.
also just a note, she can shoot bullets out of her fingers if you were wondering why her hands looked like that. yes its an Aigis Persona 3 reference. but also she no longer uses her hammer because as a robot she's stripped of her personality and autonomy, and the Piko-Piko hammer was like an Amy signature weapon, who Rusty Rose no longer is at this point. but mostly it's an Aigis Persona 3 reference. We ball
next is Rouge, who's no longer a leader of the Freedom Fighters, but just a spy/intelligence agent who still has an eye for shiny things.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
in the inital art i drew of her i named her Agent Rebel, but honestly Agent Rouge works just fine because yknow. Rouge is just the word for red in french. if they really have to all have different names then Agent Red also works too, but it might be a bit on the nose. anyway she's apart of the Freedom Fighters as their spy, something they desperately need because of the constant surveillance around new yolk. of course she's still the morally gray bastard she usually is, so she always desires compensation for her efforts, especially on the more dangerous missions.
the reason why i demoted her from leader is because Rouge is really not the leader type, maybe you could give her a leading role if it were a smaller group like Team Dark, but when its a whole resistance she's genuinely not cut out for it, especially because she's not particularly selfless and definitely doesn't give too much of a shit about the well being of others. here she understands very well that her life is also at risk, so aiding the Freedom Fighters is pretty much her only choice.
next we got Knuckles who is definitely not having a good time. he never met Sonic so he's very distrusting towards everyone, even allies. he lived on Angel Island until it was attacked by Eggman and he lost the Master Emerald. unfortunately i didn't draw anything full body or coloured so i only have this sketch
Tumblr media
being from a clan of warriors, i'd say its a no-brainer that he'd be co-commander of the Freedom Fighters. as for all the injuries, they're from a time where he was captured. to compensate for his... lack of knuckles... he now wears brass knuckles. he's definitely the most angry and vengeful of all the different versions of Knuckles, because he feels as if he's been disgraced in multiple ways, and he sees the Freedom Fighters as a means to an end. his pure, unadultered rage definitely helps with taking out enemies tho.
okay, i mentioned that Shadow would have alternate versions of himself and lucky for yall i did draw a design for New Yolk Shadow, who's named Terios and is inspired by that beta design.
Tumblr media
Terios isn't apart of the Freedom Fighters, but he's not on the side of the Chaos Council. hes kind of an anti-hero vigilante, he's cordial with Rouge but not really interested in the Freedom Fighters. he kinda does his own shit. realistically, since New Yolk is an alternate timeline where Sonic doesn't exist, and it's implied that Gerald based Shadow off of Super Sonic then technically Shadow shouldn't exist but hey, this is the one plot hole i'm not gonna try to mend. We Ball. Shadow exists because he's goated like that.
anyway his backstory is the same but because everything is so Fucked Up he never really gets the chance to explode the world like he wanted. since he's not on the evil side i'll say that Eggman wasn't the one who woke him up tho and he got talked out of his homicidal urges. who woke him up? idk i'll think about it
now for another added character... Silver!!! but he goes by the alias "Venice"... because his beta design is called Venice LOL
Tumblr media Tumblr media
before i explain Silver's deal, i'll talk abt how i imagine time works in the Sonic universe. basically, the future isn't something predestined and is actively changed by events in the present. this is in fact something that 06 contradicts since the future was messed up before Sonic even met Elise, but that in and of itself contradicts Sonic CD which does the whole "actions in the present affect the future" thing with the good future/bad future. so i went with CD's time mechanics because it makes more sense for this story. also 06 isn't canon so #WeBall
so Silver, being from the future, wakes up one day to find everything all fucked up again. except now he's in the present too. he tries to ask ppl if they know where Sonic is, assuming that of course Sonic would know what happened, but nobody seems to know who he's talking about. Silver eventually crosses paths with Shadow/Terios and asks him where Sonic is, but even Terios doesn't know who Sonic is (at this point, our Shadow hasn't linked his consciousness w/ Terios) so Silver is just really fucking lost and doesn't know what the hell is happening, why it's happening and why nobody seems to know who Sonic is.
he ends up following Terios around as sort of an apprentice type thing because he's the only familiar face so far and he really needs to understand what's going on. Terios isn't very happy about it but can tell Silver's a pretty strong person he would want as an ally, so he keeps him around. Silver wears a cloak and goes by the alias Venice as a way to protect his identity.
so obv when Sonic shows up he KNOWS Sonic fucked up real bad somehow. cue the 'it's no use! take this!' loop
(Blaze isn't here because she's relaxing and enjoying a cup of tea in her palace. also trying to tackle how the prism affects the Sol Dimension will make things way more convoluted)
~ New Yolk City: The Chaos Council ~
okay... NOW we talk about Eggman. so maybe you've noticed i kept switching between saying Eggman and the Chaos Council, and i will explain.
the Chaos Council do still exist in this reimagining, but Eggman also exists. Kind of.
basically my idea for the Chaos Council was that it was originally just Eggman ruling the world (btw his name would be Robotnik because nobody was there to call him Eggman), but here comes the inspiration from Archie again, and now he's split himself into 5 robots to help rule over New Yolk City. and i say it's inspired from Archie because i very vividly remember that Robotnik fucking died in Archie and then uploaded his consciousness into a robot or some shit, and then when it came time for his modern design to be incorporated into the comic he literally switched robot bodies to become modern Eggman. So Yeah.
multiple facets of himself get uploaded into robot bodies, because what's the point of living a mortal fleshy life when you can be a sick ass immortal shiny robot (throwback to how i said it would be a parallel to Nine) and these different "facets" of Eggman would just be different parts of his personality, these are what i had in mind but it's still a WIP:
intelligence (cunning, manipulative, thinks logically and lacks empathy)
childishness (interest in juvenile things like themeparks, acts. well. childish)
vain (self-absorbed, uncooperative, gets upset by criticism, interest in flashy things/theatrics)
emotional (prone to outbursts--typically rage, empathetic)
dramatic (placeholder until i think of a better one because this is just grouped in with vanity tbh)
bad news is that i never drew designs for these. because if im not good at designing characters, im ESPECIALLY not good at designing robots. Rusty Rose was already a challenge. but ill figure it out lol.
ANYWAY now we're done with New Yolk. if this seemed long, don't worry because it was pretty much the only one i did brainstorming on. i have one more design and a few notes but nothing else for the rest of the shatterverses.
~ No Place ~
there's not much about No Place i would change other than the character roster and basic premise. it's still pirate-y, and Dread is DEFINITELY staying the same because i Love him.
pretty much my idea is that instead of there only being one crew which is Dread's, there are two. one with Dread, Amy and Tails, and another crew with Rouge, Shadow and whoever else i think to add. basically they're rival crews that compete to get treasure, and the prism shard is just another one they set their eyes on. Marine is also gonna be there probably on Dread's crew.
Sonic initially takes Dread's side because hes a Knuckles, Knuckles is his friend and Rouge usually means trouble, but when Dread starts being yknow. batshit crazy and manipulative. Sonic realizes that he picked wrong and hes kinda on his own to get that shard.
the only thing i drew for this is a design of Rouge
Tumblr media
i imagine Shadow would just be the one pirate design from that Sonic mobile game that everyone likes to draw. his name would also be Blackheart because of the lyrics "black-hearted evil / brave-hearted hero" from I Am... All Of Me
that's all i have for No Place. in truth i didn't make much changes because i actually very much enjoyed No Place (mostly bc of Dread)
~ Boscage ~
so... this one i've done the least thinking about, and honestly it's because i don't really know what to do with this one. something about Boscage rubs me the wrong way, maybe just bc it's a jungle universe and the designs make me cringe a little bit. if anyone has any ideas on this then lmk. i don't think i want to get rid of it entirely but i just don't know how to go about this one.
all i have in terms of notes is that:
it should be a bit similar to Sonic Boom in setting, so an island with dense forests
Sticks should be a character, potentially taking Prim's role in the story
~ Extra Notes ~
more characters in the main cast like Cream and the Chaotix should appear
other characters robot copies should resemble canonical ones like Metal Sonic, Knuckles and Amy, however Nine's robot copies should look Fucked Up to emphasize the Wrongness in how he views his robot copies as true friends
^ this means Chaos Sonic should literally just be Metal Sonic. sorry Chaos Sonic fans i love him too but it made no sense to me that it wouldn't be Metal Sonic but lmk your thoughts on that
that's it for everything i think. i might have had more but i didn't write it down so it has just been forever lost in the dark depths of my brain. this is very unorganized and way too long but i hope it was interesting to read at least. ofc any feedback is welcome. i don't think i'll make any kind of story out of this but i'd like to complete it tbh

Actually I think one of my (minor) gripes with Season 3 of Hilda is that I wish it committed to being a… serial? Is that the right word? Let me explain-
One of the reasons previous seasons of Hilda are so good because they’re episodic - each adventure works as a great standalone episode that (outside of finales and the like) you don’t need much context for - but still follow an overarching storyline.
The Tide Mice, for example, is a fun standalone adventure about Hilda accidentally stealing some souls. But it also foreshadows Frida becoming a witch in Season 2, why Hilda herself wouldn’t have made a good witch, and the jorts episode in Season 2, among other things. It also builds on things we already know - Johanna struggling to find work was foreshadowed in previous episodes, David was already established to be an anxious and worrisome character, etc! So the story works perfectly well as a standalone adventure, but all these little details mean that within the context of the rest of the series it’s even BETTER!
The thing with Season 3 is that I don’t really think it had time to do that in the same way prior seasons did. In S1-2, it felt like we were seeing little snippets into one of Hilda’s many adventures. In Season 3, the events feel much more consecutive, like less time has passed between them?
Where S1-2 subtly set up plot lines and then zoomed in on them later, it feels like S3 said hey look at this cool plot line! And then they zoomed out to have an adventure with a talking fish, and then zoomed back in a few episodes later. The Laughing Merman and The Giantslayer feel a bit like interruptions to the main storyline, which sucks bc they’re great episodes.
As much as I love Louise, with the episode count being so limited I think I’d have preferred if The Laughing Merman and The Giantslayer were replaced with adventures that had more to do with the pre established plot, or characters from previous seasons like Kaisa or The Bellkeeper. It feels like those episodes were included as a return to format, a last hurrah for the monster of the week style stand alone adventures, but they just didn’t sit as right for Season 3.
Honestly? This isn’t a gripe with the show as much as it is with Netflix - but I don’t even think Season 3 should’ve even been Season 3 — I think it should’ve been a seperate series.
For one thing, the way Netflix has the series set up rn means that the movie is in a totally different section, so if you’re watching without knowing it exists beforehand, you could end up autoplaying from The Stone Forest to The Train to Tofoten and be left VERY confused. It’s weird to me that you have to click off the series to go watch the movie and then come back for Season 3 if that makes sense ??
I think it would’ve been better formatted if Season 3 was an epilogue series listed separately from S1-2, and under a different title (like “Hilda and The Fairies” or something). That way it feels less clunky going from S2 -> MK -> S3. It also makes it easier for ppl who dislike S3 to pretend it doesn’t exist, so there’s a win for that crowd too.
I also think under those circumstances it would’ve made more sense for the series to be much more story focused, without stopping midway through to do a last monster of the week couple of episodes.
Don’t get me wrong, I loved those episodes! But they were just slightly off from what I’d come to expect from precious seasons, and kind of just reminded me of what we were missing out on. I think if the show had committed to doing things differently for S3 - which would likely have been easier if this was a separate epilogue series, as the expectation for it to follow the previous seasons formula would’ve been lessoned - it would’ve felt a little less… uncanny?
TLDR - Season 3 is undeniably different in tone and overall vibe from the previous seasons, and I think the show would’ve benefited from leaning into that.
(I don’t even know if this is a critique of the show tbh, or if it’s a critique of Netflix? A lot of this could’ve been solved or at least improved by changes in formatting, or not cutting half the planned episodes, and I don’t know who’s responsible for that lmao ?? So yeah this is just me getting these unproofread unqualified opinions out on paper and is not me trying to bash anyone cause idk jack shit about how shows get made, it’s easy for me to sit here and go “oh they should’ve done this—“, but there was likely chaos behind the scenes that would’ve made that impossible, or hell, maybe it just wasn’t what they were going for! Idk! Idk what I’m saying or if any of this makes sense but thank you for reading hope you enjoyed anyways I still love s3 bless you all and goodnight <3)

Oh boy
So I was drawing Sasha as Archivist and thinking about my role reversal Melanie king is head of the institute/annabelle and jon switch/Elias is the Stranger AU... And I got a whole bunch of ideas regarding Annabelle and. Dare i say an outline of how I could write the actual story instead of random one shots showing off off-camera scenes ??
So, picture this.
S1 Happens™ relatively as normal except Sasha is the Archivist and Jon is... Not there. Sasha picked Tim and Martin as her assistants. No Annabelle yet just hold on that thought for a minute. Everybody else is happy. Sasha had previous knowledge of... Well pretty much everything tbh. She's a cautious one, Melanie picked her as the Archivist pretty much just because there was a vacancy and she thought she'd do the job fine.
Prentiss business is dealt with pretty much as in canon.
On the 29th of July, 2016, a certain Annabelle Cane comes to give a statement about a childhood encounter with a strange weaver. It certainly... Left a mark on her, but she's moved on by now and she just wants to put that behind her. Why has she moved on? Bigger problems in her life. Like, her parents dying unexpectedly in a fire when she was just 16 years old, and having to fend for herself since then. She's barely 20 years old now. No support, no family, nothing.
So, she does give the statement. And then... Everything pretty much goes to hell. Worms everywhere. Prentiss. Oh god oh fuck. Martin gets eaten by the not them although they won't realise that for quite a while. Anna and Sasha get wormed pretty badly.
A week later. Annabelle can't stop thinking about the institute. About... How exhilirating it was to feel in real danger. The possibilities of learning more about everything that ever went wrong in her life. A true encounter with the supernatural.
She wants to know more. And that's how she joins the Institute. Let the nightmare begin girl you're not leaving until you're scarred half to death.

Loki S2 Finale Prediction
Tumblr media
With all the news and announcements coming out, i decided to make a prediction for what the finale will be. tbh This is based on what I have seen in the trailer and other stuff
——————————————————————————
The episode would pick up back where it all started in episode 1, where the TVA is in shambles and Loki would be time slipping (or not)
Now from episode 1, it's understood that Loki HAD the ability to go from the past, present and future of the TVA with a part of that future being seen towards the end of episode 1, with the phone ringing, Sylvie struggling to get the elevator door open and present Loki being pruned by someone (which many have believed to be future Loki) but I beg to differ.
I don’t think it was future Loki pruning past (or our current) Loki, and the only reason why I believe this is because, TO ME it doesn’t make sense how FUTURE LOKI would prune his past self, how could 2 versions of Loki be in the same timeline of the TVA? Especially since Loki has been time slipping back and forth that entire episode.
NOT TO MENTION that Sylvie calls him out “There you are!” As if she’s been searching for him for AGES or is relieved to find him, but before anything could happen, Loki is pruned and sent back to the present (to where EP1 left off)
Why would “FUTURE” Loki prune himself? Because he knew that “it's what needed to be done?”, to me it doesn’t make sense nor do I think it’s plausible that it was him….so who pruned Loki?
My 2 guesses are Ravonna Renslayer or Victor Timely, with my bet being Victor Timely, which leads me to believe that Loki had to sacrifice himself (as seen by 2 shots in the trailer of Sylvie and Mobius with mortified faces and Loki simply smiling back)
Now why would he prune Loki? Because by sending him back to the past, Victor Timely has full control and power to start the TVA all over again or at least re-claim control of it in the future, and basically reset everything once again (as explained by He Who Remains in the S1 Finale)
So by the time we the audience and present Loki reach the future (or S2 finale) it would have been too late.
I don’t think Marvel would kill Loki off, honestly, in the position Marvel is in right now, it is NOT a good business decision, ALTHOUGH from a story point position…ending the Loki arc with a banger Season 2 would not only seal Loki’s entire history in the franchise, giving him a good or bad ending, is up to debate, but PERSONALLY a bitter-sweet ending would fit well for a character like Loki
I think the finale would involve Loki sacrificing himself to save the TVA, Sylvie, Mobius, and essentially…everyone. The future we saw in S1 was a future too late, it was bound to happen and this sacrifice, where I am pretty sure he would be back in the temporal loom could possibly kill him…or maybe spit him into a different timeline…or maybe…he wakes up, and he’s in Valhalla
——————————————————————————
I love fan theories and predictions, literally speculation of what could happen is just so fun so if y’all have ur own theories or predictions, go ahead and comment/reblog it, i love love love reading them!!

all for nothing - chishiya x fem
an: this has been sitting in my drafts for half a year 😣 so obviously this occurs during s1
note that i try to make the characters' personalities as similar as possible between what i write and the individual in the show, so don't think that i support this behavior at all. i'm just trying to best replicate the character and what i'd imagine they would do in these situations.
warnings: fingering, being tied up, descriptions involving being hit, absolutely no aftercare, actually quite worse tbh
--
Her face was ridden with scarlet and fear. Her hands were securely tied behind a chair, feet tied against the legs. Her mouth was covered in duct tape, murmuring worthless words as her eyes darted across the room.
Directly in front of her stood Aguni, arms crossed and looking down at her, and being as helpless as she was she feared he'd throw another punch, knock her to the floor, leave her there.
Around the room stood what she assumed were "staff-like" members of the Beach. Not in charge, but assisted and were involved in decision-making.
She met eyes with Chishiya and Kuina, praying they'd somehow get her out of this. They put her up to this task. It's not their fault she got caught, yet she hoped they felt it was their duty to help get her out of this situation.
Arisu stood in the corner, involved in what all of them had done but not caught. He kept his eyes on her while Aguni mentioned that she'd stay here until her visa expired. The hard expression on Arisu’s face showed he was thinking -- probably already of a way to snag her from this room.
They all collectively started to leave at once, Arisu halting to give her a nervous glance, saying, "I'll come back. Hold on." He started to walk, then paused and turned towards her one more time before leaving her train of sight. "I will come back, okay?"
Hope swirled in her heart, dropping to her stomach when she noticed one person who hadn't left the room. Chishiya stood, back against the wall, head tilting as he searched her with that face expression he always wore.
He smirked, kicking himself off the wall with the foot he held against it, walking towards her and kneeling down. His nonchalant attitude was nothing new, but it still filled her with nerves.
She looked at him, chest heaving up and down, nose taking in ridiculous amounts of air. He didn't speak, but at her struggle his hand came up to the side of her face, gripping the duct tape and slowly beginning to peel it.
She looked into his eyes through her squinted ones, humming into the duct tape through the uncomfortable feeling. He eventually pulled it over her mouth, over two or so more inches and dropped it to hang off the side of her face.
"What?" She asked him, feelings boiling up inside her. His expression had no remorse, just the smirky, cocky look he always had.
"What?" He mocked back, only filling her up with more anger.
She'd done this for herself, greedy as she was. But if she was really truthful, he was in her mind from time to time. She wanted to get him out of here too, wanted him to focus on her if he was capable of feeling things like that.
"Why'd you stay?" She asked him, only curious but she soon realized how eager and desperate that made her sound.
His eye contact with her broke when he looked off to the side, huffing out his nose in a short laugh.
"To thank you. You helped us out a lot," He spoke lowly. No remorse, but gratitude. Remorse or reassurance he'd come back would've been more to her liking, but the most vulnerable he'd ever been with her, sadly, was right now.
She hadn't noticed that her legs were slightly parted until he stood up, his hand brushing against her inner thigh as he was doing so. He didn't miss her reaction even though he meant it to look solely accidental: she shifted slightly in her seat, a shallow gasp that would've been inaudible if it weren't for his paying attention. A second after, her eyes flew up to his.
He'd only meant it as teasing, but looking down on her he couldn't help but feel a surge of blood rush in his body. She was completely helpless, arms and legs tied up -- she couldn't move.
His eyes searched her body as he stood directly in front of her, figure towering over her. Though he wasn't looking in her eyes, he felt hers on his.
After devouring the sight of her situation, he returned his gaze to her. With the eye contact, she looked away.
Confusion and anger took over her emotions, and she didn't exactly know how to feel. Had he meant to do that? Should she even speak of it?
He tilted his head again as he watched her puzzled eyes scouring the floor.
He knelt down again, watching her so intensely she was forced to look back at him. "What?" She asked.
"Did you enjoy that?" He asked.
"What?" She played dumb again.
He only tilted his head, not about to explain because she knew damn well.
"Maybe I would," she started after a few moments, "If I weren't locked in a chair wondering when a laser is gonna shoot through my head."
"Doesn't that just make things more exciting?"
Her eyes fell back to his with what he said, questioning his words.
“You’re so confusing,” she said truthfully, not answering his question.
She tensed up when his finger traveled her outer thigh up to her side, eventually clinging onto and digging underneath the fabric of her pants, tugging on it. “What about this?”
She remained quiet for a moment, breathing heavily, eyes searching the room in quick ponder. "I-. I don't know," She breathed, closing her legs together to which he tilted his head to the side. "You're -- why are you doing this?"
"Because you’ve been driving me crazy ever since you showed up, and frankly I can’t have you die without knowing what you sound like," He said, and to her embarrassment she felt her core tighten subconsciously.
"Can you try to talk to me like this when I’m not tied to this chair?" She pleaded him. "What, you'd rather pleasure me than save me?"
“C’mon,” he urged her, tilting his head and pleading with his eyes. Then his expression softened and became slightly more serious. “After.”
His eyes fell from her eyes to her body. She was breathing heavily, he wondered how she'd breathe if she let him rest his mouth where he wanted.
"You can," She finally said, breaking after the lust in his eyes took over her own. Though she kept her sense of urgency. “Wanna see how quick you are, okay?”
He was throbbing by now with the way she spoke, and he smirked as he grabbed either side of her pants with his tempting hands.
While tugging them down, he couldn’t help but feel the need to tear her shirt apart and feed his eyes with something he’d been aching to see. But that would be indecent — this was certainly not the place to shred her clothing.
With her pants came her panties, and suddenly she was completely revealed for him. She looked down on him, suddenly feeling a hint of insecurity at the fact that she was completely helpless in the situation.
“Beautiful,” was all he said as he drew his eyes away and brought his eyes up to hers. She didn’t respond in embarrassment.
Between her legs slightly glistened with arousal. His crotch hurt thinking about how she was turned on in such a situation as the one she was in. If there was a higher authority, would they know he would take care of her.
He lifted her shirt slightly and touched his lips to her lower stomach, off to the side near her hip. She tensed against her restrictions, looking off to the side with her eyes assumedly closed.
His hands grasped her hips, until he let loose of one and gently traced his fingers along her sensitive skin all the way to the center of her. His finger finally rested on the place a woman craved the most attention, and he didn’t miss the small gasp she made.
He got on both his knees and travelled to the side of the chair, middle finger still against the same place on her body. In close proximity, with his other hand, he turned her face to his and held her chin tightly between his thumb and pointer finger, ensuring her face stayed looking at his.
The eye contact they made was fierce -- Chishiya waited a moment for her to grow restless, waited until he was able to see her desperation for him in her eyes.
But her face stayed expressionless and he became irascible, irascible because he knew if he didn't get what he wanted he'd still continue with it because of how admittedly tempting she was.
No, he didn't feel for her. But given the chance that he could fuck her, he'd fuck her good and right.
So he started moving his middle finger slowly and there, there was the reaction he craved. Her eyes softened, her innocent face blending softly into the painting of pleasure. He almost became audible with satisfaction as he studied her expression.
His finger circled slowly as she took the feeling in. She was so nervous and on the edge, but had to admit she felt somewhat safe with him so close to her like this. She fluttered her eyes closed, seeing his on hers before darkness settled, and relaxed against the feeling.
She didn’t miss the low grumble that left his mouth once she closed her eyes, nor the harsh inhale followed by a pair of lips attaching to the side of her exposed neck. He kissed and sucked gently, the light manner of his lips tickling her in a sensual and pleasurable way.
She felt his tongue leave his mouth and slowly travel up her neck, up to her jaw, where he placed a kiss as he inserted two of his fingers.
He missed her gentle gasp because he could only think about how tight she was. He read her expression to look for discomfort, keeping the pace of his fingers slow as the pleasure built up quickly.
"Fuck," she sighed and Chishiya felt his dick start straining against his pants as he observed her sighs, her sounds, her face, her body adapting to the way his approached hers.
He caught her looking up at him and wanted to kiss her. He wanted to press both arms against her back so they were close as possible. Good lord. He was in the moment.
Chishiya's fingers stayed at the same pace when she told him to keep them that way, staggering along with his breath which only made her more aroused. Within time she had started to strain against her restrictions, and she seemed in a different world than the one she was in where a laser could shoot through her head at any given moment.
She was speechless and her mouth was open, and though Chishiya wanted to kiss her everywhere, he wanted more to watch what was about to happen entirely because of him. He recognized the building up of her breath, the shallow, quick gasps for air as she was more focused on what was about to take over her body instead of pursuing her necessary bodily functions.
And so she popped with physical affirmation rather than verbal, and Chishiya swallowed in the sight. He knew to slow down and stop quickly, and brought his lips back to her jawline as her head rested as best it could faced up and to the side.
She stayed frozen like a statue as she started to come down and he kept his fingers still inside her until she showed signs of being through it, then he gently removed his fingers from her.
Chishiya brushed a piece of sweaty hair behind her ear, still wishing he could kiss her. But she wasn't his priority. She couldn't be his priority. Let fate decide if she lives or if she dies. The power cannot be in his hands, because power is more deadly here than it is in the other world.
"I told Aguni," Chishiya said, disrupting the semi-uncomfortable silence.
“Told him what?” She asked, and Chishiya felt bad for breaking this news while she was probably still lightheaded and recovering, recovering from him.
Though his expression stayed the same. It always stayed the same. “I told him what you did to score points with him. I can’t have him know I’m involved.”
Her tightened eyebrows relaxed with the reaction of betrayal. Chishiya helped her get her clothes back on right, and she didn't speak nor move in attempt for him to get off of her.
He felt bad, felt like getting the pleasure to watch her like that was the equivalent to actually being inside of her.
And for this reason he couldn't look back as he left.
For this reason and so many more did he not stop when he left the room and nearly collided with Arisu, about to enter. In fact, he wouldn't tell a soul.
